My husband used Lifeline Screening once in November 2024. In November 2025, we were charged again for $197 and when I called to find out why, they said we were on automatic renewal. We had never asked or wanted automatic renewal. When I said we weren't interested and wanted our money back, the woman went on and on about how wonderful they were and that we should keep using them. I told her we were not interested, again, and wanted out money back. She said she could cancel the automatic renewal but refused to give us our money back. Beware if you're going to use them because they probably set everyone up on automatic renewal without their knowledge or permission and you will never see your money refunded!! We will never use this company again!!!!

I don't have 0 star, option, otherwise It will be my rating for this business. I paid 159.00 for the screening. A month before they had App. I lost the booklet I got on the mail with the info, so I tried to find a confirmation email with no luck. Come to find out that I miss the appointment, now they want to charge me 50.00 in addition to the 159 that I had already paid. I wanted to give them a try. I could have the testing done thru my health insurance. I'm not giving them another dime. I hope they use the money I left them for someone in need. I doubt it, wishful thinking. I would never recommend this business to anyone. This is just that, another business.

Be careful of their cancellation policy. If for some reason, you decide to cancel, you don't get a refund. They will only issue a gift certificate. We tried to cancel because the same scans were less expensive at our local hospital, and were told there is a no refund policy. Gift cards only. We tried to cancel over a week in advance. It wasn't until we threatened to report them to the BBB and do a negative review on Google and other outlets, that they issued a refund. The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Happy they decided to do the right thing and refund our credit card.

I was at the Lawrence location. I got there 20 minutes before my scheduled time. They told me not to eat before I come, so I did not eat breakfast or lunch. I have to cancelled other important appointment so I can meet the Lifeline appointment. They allowed me to register, about 15 minutes later, they asked me to fill a form and signed it, which I did. They then kept me waiting for 2 hours and afterward told me they cannot attend to me again today. I saw them attending to both ** people and ** people that came after me but they said they cannot attend to me. I was the only ** there at the time and I felt they simply discriminated against me. When I said they should refund my money because they broke the contract they had with me and I reject their counteroffer, they said, "Sorry, no refund."

Do not give these people a deposit before your actual screening/test are performed. They don't tell you that in order for you to get your deposit back in the event that you no longer want their services even when you cancel within the 48 hr period. The cancellation has to be up to the exact minute. So for instance if my appointment was on January 15th @ 2 pm and I called on January 12th @ 2:01 pm they will not refund your deposit. I gave these people a $100 deposit and after being told by the Customer Service Rep. Shirley that I would in fact receive my deposit back although in the form of a Visa gift card my deposit was ultimately denied because of the reason mentioned above. In addition when I requested to speak to a supervisor I was told that someone would get back to me in 2-3 days. I'm still waiting for that call back. Life Line Screening stole my $.

$365 was charged to my CC last March for services rendered as I agreed. I was told then that I would be charged annually unless I cancelled or opted out. Went to the website, logged in and cannot find where to opt out and cancel. So I sent them email and no response. So I called and got transferred around until I was sent to memberships and then phone rang and rang and rang. Easy to give them your CC but extremely difficult to stop it. SO I had to put stop payment on my CC for different charges under two different names which is suspicious too. Seems like a planned way to keep taking your money.

Do not let yourself be duped. Many doctors' opinions are split when it comes to the usefulness of these tests. They are conducted with portable equipment in makeshift locations. People complain about a lot of false positives. A false-positive can be very expensive, as it can send you down a rabbit-hole of hospital tests (real tests).

I tried to cancel my appointment with Life Line Screening and called them. Even if you try to cancel well in advance of the 48-hour window prior to the appointment, you ARE NOT going to see your money back. They issue you a 'gift certificate'. Why would I want a gift certificate when I just don't want to work with you? Their answer: read the terms and conditions.

Life Line has offered to refund, so that takes care of my issue.

    Original Review: Jan. 26, 2026

I've had 3 different screenings with Life Line Screening and had been very pleased with the company and the process, so I convinced my wife to have one as well in March of 2025. My wife didn't have a great experience and the person that was supposed to call with the review never called during the appointment time. This morning we both got a surprise when our checking account was debited for $197 on mine and $167 on hers. When I called Life Line I was informed that I signed up for an annual membership. I told them that was not explained to me at all and that I would not have signed up for that. Apparently, the person from Life Line didn't tell my wife anything about it either. We requested to have it cancelled, but was told the terms and conditions did not allow a refund. This is bad business and I will never use this service again.

When setting up the service for screening, I was not aware that this would be an annual membership where they automatically deducted funds from my account. When I saw the funds deducted from the account, I reached out to customer service for a refund and cancellation for a subscription that I wasn't aware that was set up. I was told that they could/would not refund the funds, and I could either use the services as it was paid for and then call and cancel or forfeit the money if I cancelled at this time. Total BS.

Life changes and I would no longer use the service, AND wasn't aware that it was an annual $200 service to begin with. I cannot afford to just randomly give a company $200. They were not sympathetic with the situation and refused to assist when it did not benefit them. I would never recommend this company because of their business practices. Yes, the service is good for those that want to get all the tests done, but for those that they rope into a subscription, they are unreasonable.

After speaking with a kind reasonable gentleman who had no problem issuing a refund, he explained that because there is a "membership" involved, charges are incurred at renewal time often without specific services administered at that exact time. I did reiterate that this is not explained well and perhaps if communication were improved, complaints would subside.

After going thru one Life Line screening, I started getting charges on credit card even though I opted Not to sign up for additional screenings. After on hold day after day trying to get someone on phone, finally got someone early in am. Spent long time asking for refund which was emphatically denied, over and over by robotic agent. This is a big racket, taking advantage of elderly especially who are not as equipped as I am to dispute the charges thru my credit card (already familiar with this rip-off technique of this company. Happy to leave review to help others to prevent being ripped-off, stressed out, and possibly have inaccurate results in tests. They then charge medicare for an annual wellness visit which messes everything up if you go to see a real doctor to have an annual physical. One of the tests they were not able to do because my husband had a knee replacement and they said they would refund the charge. Nothing has ever shown up , but have a $10.00 credit on our account that I will never use. Very disappointed in the charges for very little information and was not at all what we expected. I was told 10 days to 2 weeks and I would receive my results. Three weeks went by without results, so I called them. They apologized and said they were having communication issues. Several days later, I received my results via email and USPS. The results had my name and address on them, but the data on the report said I was 5 feet 10 inches and weight of 240 pounds with a waist measurement of 52 inches. I am 5 feet 3 inches and weigh 140 pounds. This clearly wasn’t my data.

I called and asked for a refund because I had received someone else’s data. They told me they would review the case and get back to me within 48 hours. Life Line never got back to me, so I called them after seven days and asked about the status of my case. They said there wasn’t an error in the data and they closed the case. I was able to go to my credit card company and dispute the charge, but I shouldn’t have had to get them involved. Mistakes can happen and I understand that but Life Line didn’t own up to it and make it right. Be very wary of the data you receive from Life Line. They don’t seem to be able to match up results with the clients.
