This company is horrible! I will give it negative 100 score. They gave me an insurance policy of 1,534$ for 6 months, however, after a month they add 3,213$ that makes my bill 3 times the original. This company is going after only for money and not for good service, they fooled me from the start and robbed after a while. I will gave this Travelers Insurance a negative 100 rating.

Even though I just washed my car 1 week before and there was no damage, and I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube 2 1/2 weeks before and they reported it was fine. The company says the light is all cracked up due to wear and tear even though the lights are only 3 yrs old. And the other side is just fine????

Travelers Auto Insurance rates go up every year even though I have no traffic violations/vehicle is a year older and I am also a year older. Filing a claim is average. When your premium goes up just shop around, you'll always find another company willing to take your business with a cheaper rate.

Adjuster from Travelers insurance estimated my roof damage repairs at about $15,000, but handed me a check for about $10,000. Went into a long elaborate explanation of completing the work to get paid, depreciation review, assuring me I would get the remaining. It was not too clear, I asked him to explain about depreciation review again and I got another long elaborate explanation. I was clearly told that if repairs were underestimate I can pay the contractor myself and anything extra I could keep and that Travelers didn’t want to know about it unless it went over budget.
I believe I was clearly misled to believe that the portion withheld was to make sure the job got done and anything left was my incentive to get the best rates. After work was completed I got a clear two sentence reply that, no, I misunderstood, and, "Thank you for getting everything done under $10,000 but we never offered you an incentive." The deception was all the long confusing explanation to make me believe one thing before the work was started and a clear explanation after it was complete that left me working unpaid to save them money. Still better than GEICO.

I took my car to Ken Towery‘s on July 8, 2017 for an oil change. Within one week my car was damage from lack of oil. My car had two different oil leaks, I took it back two different times. They failed to fix the problem. As a result of that my car engine was damaged. I cooperated fully with Travelers Auto Insurance. In the end they did not assume responsibility. This went on for about four months. I took them to court and I won. Make them assume responsibility. Do not give up!! It was a nightmare but it’s over now!
If someone damages your engine from a service they performed don’t even talk to the insurance company. Get your own inspector. Ken Towery was bought out by Monro Muffler approximately four years ago. They are based out of New York. Do not have confidence at the service you have paid for has been done properly. Don’t be afraid to ask them to leave your car on the racks and check your oil filter, check your oil plug to make sure everything was done properly, when it comes down from the rack be sure to check your oil level. I hope this helps someone because I felt all alone. All I wanted was someone to tell the truth. They didn’t. Let the courts decide for you. The proof was in the evidence.

I have been with Travelers for over 10 years. Last year I received my first ever speeding ticket in 49 years of driving, for 5 MPH over the speed limit. (Show me anyone has never driven 5 MPH over at some point!) Travelers jacked my premium up 50% and refused to reconsider. Based on my record they should be offering a "good driver" discount! So long to Travelers; found a much better rate with a major insurer to replace them.

When I retired I changed auto insurance carriers because it was a payroll deduction policy that I had. I called and got several quotes before deciding on Travelers. I received a quote of $994 annually if I paid in full and had it withdrawn through EFT from my checking account. I agreed to all of this and started the policy on Aug. 20. Several days later I received a note from Travelers asking me to call to confirm my information. They asked all the same questions that the agent I set my account up with did prior to my accepting the policy.
One week after this phone call I received a letter informing me that based on my phone conversation my policy was increasing $508 dollars per year. That is more than a 50% increase. This is unacceptable and fraudulent. I will contacting every agency I can to let them know about this underhanded action. I called my original agent and she said it was out of her hands. Either she was totally incompetent when writing the policy or whoever does the followup phone calls is a sleazeball. Either way I will NOT be treated this way.

I was sitting at a red light when a man hit me from behind. As I got out of the car, he was backing up. The police clearly said the accident wasn't my fault. However the man claimed someone hit him and pushed his car into mine. I knew he was lying but couldn't prove it. So Geico stated that their client was "innocent" and they were not responsible. Travelers said I would have to pay my $500 deductible. The estimate was around $526, and they were willing to pay $26. I know people who have been hit from behind. You are supposed to be in control of your car at all times. This man and Geico are responsible, and yet Travelers went ahead and closed the claim while I was preparing for hurricane Irma in Florida. Stay away from these people. They did not fight for me, and never gave me a reasonable explanation for why they wouldn't.

I was the involved in 2 accidents within 3 months. Both accidents were the fault of the other drivers. I called their 24 hr. service number both times and their agents were quick to start the process of a rental car when needed, arranging for their adjuster to assess my damages and keeping me well informed of the progress of my claim. Both times I needed to open a medical claim and the process was handled flawlessly. The 2nd accident totaled my vehicle and they had my settlement to me in less than 10 days so that I could purchase a new vehicle. They arranged for a rental vehicle asap for both accidents within 24 hrs.
I'm still going thru treatment for my injuries and they call me weekly to check on my progress. Their entire staff did a great job and continues this same outstanding performance. This is only my second year with this company and I am impressed with their outstanding customer service. The staff went above and beyond. My experience with Travelers was. To keep my policy Travelers gave me a small list of minor repairs they requested me to have done to my home before a specific date to keep my policy. So as requested I did the repairs and after each repair I emailed the picture of each repair. The due date was coming up and I didn't hear a word as to what was happening so I called and was told Travelers need one more thing corrected so again I got that completed. Emailed them pictures. Still no call. At this time I was getting nervous because due date was in 2 days. So again I called and was told everything they asked for and need was good. The person told me to hold and she would contact the underwriter to make sure everything on their part was good. So a few minutes went by. The agent came back told me that I would get a call back within an hour to let me know if there was anything else.
I stressed to the agent the due date was the following day. I need to get this completed today. And it was 3 pm on a Friday. Well no call. Nothing at all. So Monday morning August 14 at 9 am I called Travelers and was told they had emailed me information that everything was ok just wanted my permission to update all information. But the email address was not mine so I never received it. So now they said that they have to rewrite my policy make a new one. I'm already paid in full for the entire year in advance and they’re going to have to rewrite my policy for the mistake they made. I told them that I did not like that idea. I was told that if I didn't agree to the new policy I would lose my insurance coverage. BECAUSE OF THEIR MISTAKE THE CUSTOMER SUFFERS THE CONSEQUENCES. THAT TO ME OR ANY OTHER CUSTOMER OF TRAVELERS IS NOT RIGHT.

I have been a customer of Travelers for over 3 years and although I don't have a great driving record, every time I have been in an accident, they have made my life a living hell. And now that I needed to switch a vehicle onto my policy after another recent accident, my policy did go up. Which I did see coming but every time I turn around, they come up with some other reason that I need to pay more and more money and are waiting to the last minute or waiting for me to find out on my own after I was already told I would be paying a certain price. And now they are refusing to take the extra payments off and that I need to pay them even though in other recorded conversations, I was not told about extra payments.
I don't feel like they should be getting away with this but with my driving record, I have no choice but to pay it due to nobody else being willing to insure me for less than or the same as what I am paying with them. Anyone know of any way I can avoid paying these extra installments due to me being told I would be paying a different amount.

The woman who damaged the car indicated to me on site her fault in the incident stating she "did not see the car". She also stated she would write me a check to pay for the damages and also gave me her insurance information. I immediately had the car repair estimated and contacted her with the cost. She said she would have to report it to her insurance company (Travelers). I was contacted by Ms. Catherine **, her agent, and asked for a recorded statement which I gave. I was then called the next day and told that the claim was her word against mine and that Travelers would not be paying the claim.
The rationale in the written document state that I had not yielded the right of way to their client. I responded stating that there was no right of way in question since my car was legally parked in a parking space and was not moving. Ms. ** also stated that her client stated she never damaged my car. An email denial was then received. I wonder how Travelers can respond in such a way since their client called them in the first place to report the incident! How many of us call our insurance companies to say that we have NOT had an accident that we want to report. It sounds fishy to me and I wonder who is more conniving, the woman who damaged my car, Ms. **, or Travelers Insurance Co.

I received that from Travelers before I choose them as my company and their rates were less than I paid for insuring my 2000 Toyota Avalon XL. Paid $35,000 for it new and never had an accident. But speaking with Travelers' reps is always professional and very courteous. Also, agents are very knowledgeable and suggest the best coverage for the lowest cost available. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY! They have the best/cheapest automobile rate quotes, rates are low when you first buy their insurance, then at every 6 months renewal it goes up. I had insurance (auto & home) since Feb 2016 ($382/6 mos)), Aug 2016 ($360/6 mos), Feb 2017 ($394/6 mos) and now for Aug 2017 my new renewal rate ($427/6 mos)... I have had no accidents or tickets so why has my insurance rates increase every 6 months? My answer; they need to make up for other policy holders' accidents or other losses/claims so every 6 months they jack up other GOOD drivers' policies rates. I called to ask and she talking about because the rate increase in Texas. Every 6 months? BS!!! There has not been no rate increase in Texas.
Well, looks like I will be switching to another insurance company before my renewal, one that doesn't lure you in with their low rated quotes then slowly increase the rate with some lame ass excuse in order to make up for their loss from other policy holders claims or other losses/claims. I rated Customer Service - 1 STAR because of the lie the CSR told about Texas rates increases. I rated Value - 1 STAR because it's not worth every 6 mos increase for GOOD drivers. I rated Coverage - 1 STAR because the coverage rates start out cheaper that other companies but slowly increased every 6 mos til it SUCKS.

First of all, I'm a disabled vet on Social Security and Medicare. I don't have a lot of money. On Saturday June 17th my 2000 Windstar van was sitting in front of my house and was hit from behind by a Farmer insured driver and pushed 50 feet into the back of my neighbor's car. I use the van as my primary driver and I've also built a removable framework where I can just remove the two rear seats and snap the framework to the seat posts and I then have a set up for a bed, cooler, etc. for camping. I am a very meticulous person and I always keep the maintenance up to date. Two week before the accident I spent $1,300 for new struts, CV axle and had the transmission serviced. I was planning on a low budget camping trip on the Strait of Juan De Fuca in NW, Washington.
On Monday the 19th Farmers sent an appraiser to look at the damage and document the van's condition, special features and recent repairs or maintenance. My van is very well equipped with an extra sliding door, air front and back, tilt wheel, alloy wheels and the interior was spotless. I provided the recent $1300 receipts. I'd say my van was in good condition. There was one small dent in the front bumper and a small crack in the windshield before the accident. I will also say the van was deemed totaled in 2011. Because the van was such a good runner I bought it back for $800 because there was only minor cosmetic damage and needed a radiator. There was nothing that affected the running gear. I bought the parts and had it fixed to the same condition it was before that accident. (Also not my fault).
Now it's two weeks later, I've been unable to go on vacation and Farmers wants to give me $1800 noting it was totaled in 2011. To purchase another van in my area I will need to pay between $3500 and $5000. The $5000 van has 30,000 more miles than my van. I was hoping to get $2500 taking into consideration the total, the condition and the recent repairs. I feel $1800 is an insult considering the recent repairs. I'm guessing that between the appraiser and the 2 weeks the pencil pushing bean counters time to figure what they could get away with it cost Farmers $2,000 in wages. So now Farmers is going to be out about $3800 and have a very unhappy customer. I have done nothing wrong, I've been unable to go on vacation and it will probably cost me another $2,000 to replace my van. (That's the two weeks wages Farmers paid their people to screw me).

I had Utica through AAA - 2 cars $1900 full coverage! I had no problems until I added the boyfriend with not a great record. It went from $1900 to about $3000 for 3 cars fully covered. I then sold 1 car but it came down $100 and then a non renewal Letter in August! I had trouble finding a company after that but Progressive wrote us for the 2 cars for over $7000 for a 2009 Nissan in 2016!!!
4 Months in, my boyfriend had a heart attack in December and drove into a tree. Thankfully no other cars were involved with that. Immediate Bypass surgery followed by 11 days in a coma, but after joining with them and being raised to over 7 grand, with 7 months left on the policy paying almost 700 a month and once that totaled car came off they gave me back less than $200 with 8 months left!!!! And a letter stating they would not renew me.
After we leased a 2016 Subaru I shopped around and found Travelers through a broker. At first she was high. After I demanded to speak to her boss and was able to explain our situation I was able to get a new policy for around $2500. So I am very happy with Travelers, not only their pricing but their customer service has been fantastic!!!
I once filed a claim. I was not driving and the person who was hit a patch of ice and spun out and was taken to the hospital by ambulance to the ICU. As there were no other cars involved, I waited a few days to put in the claim until I could find my car and find out some of the details. After 6 hours on the phone calling every police department in Westchester County NY I finally found it with the State Police and as of Feb 14 I have yet to get a promised call back from the officer at the scene.
I worked in Collision for 14 years so once I had found the car and until I was able to see it I waited to call the Insurance Company. The accident was on a Sunday. I found the car 5 am Tuesday went to see it, knew it was totaled and Emptied it out. I called Travelers on Wednesday to put in the claim. Thursday I went to meet the adjuster at the body shop, brought him the title and all necessary information on the car including the original sticker price, showing all the options, including an aftermarket Bluetooth, maintenance receipts as well as the receipt showing that 1 week before the accident I had replaced 2 tires. I had made copies of everything to give me and by doing that I was able to get top dollar for a 2009 Nissan Murano, Less my $1000 Deductible. I received the check exactly 1 week later.

The agent Terrance that was allegedly on my case called me once, asked for information and 2 months later, no call, I called him and he said he never got the police report. So why didn't he call and get it who knows. A couple months go by and I call again, he used the same excuse and told me I could pay the deductible and it would be faster. Um NO. I was hit, nor do I want to pay.
I had all the other driver info, I had the estimate, I ended up calling his manager, and every couple months I call and say, "What is up?" and they tell me "Can you get the report"? I gave them the report number, cop's name, etc. I haven't heard from the company in months. When I had Geico they called me ASAP and got my claim paid ASAP (for another accident). I was a passenger in a Travelers insured car accident where we were rear ended on the freeway while at a complete stop in traffic. The driver who hit us admitted to being at fault immediately. Although they were quick to pay my friend for his vehicle, receiving the medical attention that I need as a result of my injuries from the accident has been a horrific and arduous process. Less than six months after the accident Travelers told me that they would no longer pay for any medical appointments until I had an independent medical exam through one of their contracted employees. Five months later they have yet to schedule that exam and I haven't received any coverage since.
My body continues to ache, and my claims agent has refused to respond to my calls or emails for 3 months. Other than being a cold and heartless person, the person responsible for my claim has gone so far as to accuse me that I don't require the healthcare appointments I was receiving. Non-medical Travelers employees, accusing me of not needing medical attention. It's been a nightmare and if you love yourself or the people you drive in your cars do not choose this insurance company. They are happy to accept your monthly dues, but refuse to cover their end of the bargain.
Definitely the worst insurance company I've ever dealt with. It saddens me that this process has been so strenuous and complicated. My prior MVA experiences of receiving the care that I need in order to heal have never been so challenging as with Travelers. I feel as if I have to prove, double prove and cross verify that I am in fact injured. To be scrutinized and even accused of not having physical pain contributed to a car accident on the freeway is insulting. It's been heartbreaking, dramatic, and further hurtful after an already traumatic experience. In times when I've asked for information, clarification, and education on this process, I've been met with coldness, silence, and told I cannot receive the treatment I need due to Travelers bureaucratic processes. They are the quintessential example of a corrupt insurance company happy to accept dues but unwilling to provide the coverage you've been paying for.

Then, I receive the check six days after that, but the rental was for only 7 days (according to the insurance agent). I already put a down payment on a car, but I couldn't get it out of the lot until I paid the whole amount. I wasn't financing the car. I spoke to the same agent and explained the situation.

When I called to complete the transaction of setting up my policy, Travelers Insurance explained that their policy requires me to put my boyfriend on my policy and he never drives my cars nor would I allow him to drive them. He has his own vehicle which is 10 years newer than mine and he has his own insurance but they would not write a policy unless he is on it. Totally ridiculous. Well, though I'm not happy about Progressive's politics, it seems that I'm better off with them since their service has been good thus far.

Then they told us to leave the car with the key on the tire so they could tow it but they were not responsible or my daughter should just continue to wait. They lied and lied and lied repeatedly all day. When she said she needed to leave and would call the next day they SUPERVISOR hung up on us, not we will schedule it for tomorrow NOTHING. I am so disgusted - I'm changing all my insurance. Had auto insurance on 4 vehicles, for a little over a year. No claims, premiums paid on time by automatic deposit. Apparently Travelers didn't like the way my sons car was titled. They canceled ALL coverage without contacting my insurance agent or myself. The only way we found out was my wife went to my agents office to get a copy of an insurance card. He found the policies were canceled in September... It was the 1st day of December when she went in. No coverage for 3 months! Even my agent was flabbergasted, and could prove he had never been contacted. Thank God we didn't have a wreck in that time period, we could have been ruined.
Now we are limited to what coverage we can get because we had "a lapse of coverage". Now my coverage is doubled for 6 months. I'm punished for something I could have changed, (name on title) or even dropped my son from my insurance and put him on his own policy. Not even a phone call. You would think that if a company is going to cancel something as important as auto insurance on 4 vehicles that would have to send a registered letter... Nothing. Travelers sucks. Never again, and I will tell everyone I know how terrible they are.

Travelers said that they would drop the property insurance if we didn't keep the auto insurance with them. I felt like we were being blackmailed. Needless to say, we moved all of our insurance. Then they turned a payment over to a collection agency, that I didn't think we owned as it was after our account was closed. We are NEVER late on payments. It was the worst experience ever.

I am SO ANGRY! In early March, I dropped my girlfriend off my auto policy. Travelers said I could not do it without making up a whole new policy! Since when can anyone not take a vehicle off their policy!?? Travelers sent my girlfriend a bill at her parents' address for a policy they started for her without her knowledge or agreement! They asked me for the information supposedly to contact her in regard to starting her policy. Yeah, that NEVER happened. Travelers sent her to Collections. She received a letter from a collection agency in August for coverage never paid from the date I dropped her until I changed my insurance company to AAA on June 5th!! How does that work!?
So that same day as I said, I started a new policy in my name only. I had weekly payments removed from my paycheck. It works great. I don't have to worry about sending in money. In June, I went with AAA. I called Travelers on 3-way with the AAA agent and switched over my car insurance. The week after my girlfriend called and complained to Travelers about her bill for insurance she never asked for, I also received a bill from a collection agency for monies owed to Travelers!!!
After my initial explosion, I called Travelers and vehemently explained how it was impossible I owed any money whatsoever as I had payroll deductions. I also called and switched insurance on June 5th. The agent never said a word about outstanding money owed then!! I asked why they didn't say anything then, or at least send me a letter or a bill...something!! They said they did!! Here's the kicker folks: They sent the notices to her MOTHER'S HOUSE! Yeah, that's right. They set me up with a new policy. It did not go back to payroll deduction. It did not get separated from my girlfriend. I had NO idea that I owed them money until I looked at my pay stubs!!!
Travelers ADMITTED they were wrong. They admitted they did not set up my policy properly. They sent mail to the wrong address. They never called me AT ALL, then I even switched companies. Still wasn't told even when changing to AAA!! Travelers Insurance is one of the most screwed up companies I have ever dealt with. I still have my homeowner's policy with them. I am worried!! They have messed with my credit, put me in a bad situation, and offered nothing as a solution.

I called Travelers Insurance to cancel my monthly payment and that I started with Nationwide Insurance on April 10, 2016. Well they took out a payment on April 18, 2016, so I had to call and have them reimburse me, because I canceled 8 days earlier. According to them they had no record of me calling. So therefore, I had to cancel my policy again. This time I actually filled out a paper to cancel. Well May 18, 2016 comes and they take out yet another monthly payment. Not only are they taking out my monthly payment twice after I canceled. But since I wasn't aware of them doing this my account went into the negative and I was charged $36 NSF fee for both charges that were supposed to be canceled.
So I call them yet again, to tell them. They said I have a refund coming for the payment, but it's not their fault I got charged $72 in NSF fees. I thought that since I called three times now to finally cancel a payment that should've been canceled three times now, I would at least get my $72 dollars back in NSF fees. Travelers Insurance said "No we will NOT refund you for your overdraft fees. That is on you not Travelers." I am a single mother of 2 kids. The only time we have used them so far has been for a small fender bender that our teenage son had during the summer. I called the company the next day and reported it. The reporting was very easy and the person I talked to was very helpful. We didn't end up having to file because the other party didn't report the accident was. Travelers was very helpful during the process and I feel like they would have done fine if they'd had to pay on this accident. I do not really expect much of an experience with an auto insurer unless there is a claim. As long as the rates are reasonable, I pay them and that's it until the next time. If I have a legitimate claim, I would expect the insurer to pay their fair share according to the policy coverage. I would not expect any hidden wording that I was unaware of.

This is a true account. My wife and I had Travelers auto and homeowners for 15+ years. We are both professionals with postgraduate degrees and more than 10 years each employed with our respective companies, both with no debt and excellent credit, and had never missed an insurance payment. Home completely paid for. It seemed at the time, and for many years after, to be inexpensive and convenient. 15 years later, I got a speeding ticket. Let me reiterate, we were both 40+ yo in white collar jobs, with no prior claims, ever. Less than 10mph over the limit. Travelers dropped me, saying I was eligible to reapply for coverage after at least 3 years. My wife's auto coverage alone increased to more than our combined full coverage auto + home.
Plus, what, Travelers did not tell me, is that they also dropped my wife's auto insurance, even with no violations in 20 years, because I alone got ticketed. We were never informed of this, and she was unknowingly to both of us, driving uninsured for about 2 months before I switched both our policies. In the end, I switched us both to the "gecko" insurance, with identical home+auto coverage, better customer service, and saving slightly over $2K/year. This is completely true.

They are basically saying, if I don't sign and let them lower my excellent credit rating by submitting inquiries, that the claim probably won't go through. Since I own the truck outright and have always paid my premiums on time I fail to understand why they need to do what they want to do (every time you apply for a loan or check your credit score it gets lowered -- mine is excellent, over 800 -- and I'd like to keep it that way). The car was repaired at one of their accredited shops. I was told it was to take 5 days but it took over 30 days. Why? Because the car was also damaged at the repair shop. The shop was so bad, they painted the car repairs the wrong color. The transmission would not work, the electrical and dash lights came on. All the time Travelers' adjuster said it was betterment & refused to let me extend the rental car also.
I kept after them 'til the car could drive down the road, except the rear hatch did not close right - the glass did not fit as well as the side door. I took it to another shop, they told me why there were problems because the unibody was bent and had to be fixed. I paid to have it fixed and Travelers refused to pay for the repairs. The worst was the adjusters lied and refused to fix the damage. This car only had 110k or 60,000 miles. I, recently, switched from State Farm to Travelers because they continued to raise my rates. Travelers gave me a rate which was $40.00 less for a 6 month premium. I decided to, also, get a renters policy. Everything was fine. Suddenly, I received an email statement notice of a $25.00 payment due this month. I called because I'd paid the bill when I switched my insurance. I made no less than 6 calls before finally getting a human on the phone.
The reason for the extra charge was twofold. First, they found out I didn't own a condo in Florida. I couldn't even speak for a minute. When I found my voice, I asked why ANYONE would think that. I don't own any property and made that clear. Well, too bad. They couldn't explain THEIR mistake but I owe $21.00 extra. I asked about the other $4.00. I didn't provide proof I've had insurance for at least 5 years. HOW INSANE. It seems they reel you in with a better rate, then reach into outer space to push the rate back up. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TRAVELERS.

Travelers wrote me an insurance contract, took my money, sent me insurance cards and two weeks later cancelled me stating I was ineligible because I had a lapse in coverage for two days six months ago. My experience with them was a roller coaster in terms of the information that I was given. I was told something different with every customer representative that I spoke with. Initially, I was very happy with my rates and service but when my daughter turned 16, they automatically sent me a new policy with her as a rider on my policy without even consulting me. Next, I decided to place her on her own policy with another company (which I was paying for) for her own vehicle. When I called Travelers to have her removed, I was told that she would have to remain on my policy and that this would reduce the cost my policy slightly regardless of the fact that she was now on her own policy with a different company (Geico). I checked with several auto insurance companies whose agents had never heard of such a shady policy.
Needless to say, I switched to another company immediately! So my policy went from $700 a year for me only to $1900 a year for my daughter to be a on my policy back down to $1200-$1400 a year for her to be removed and the policy to only have me again. They said that I was being charged extra simply because she was a household member. This should be illegal! It is not only a bad business practice but totally unethical and an attempt to squeeze more money out of a policy holder. I was already concerned because I had initially read so many bad reviews about Travelers not responding to individuals having their first accident after being policy holders for decades. It is like they ONLY want your money.
My advice is to find another company and read ALL the reviews on the web about this company. It was once a good company but I think their time has passed and there are much better options out there. I am getting surcharged for 39 months and this is a hefty charge. I tried to argue with them but they just keep saying I was at fault and the weather is not taken into consideration.
I really feel this company is not fair and now they have accident forgiveness for the first accident but I don't apply for this being it was approved in June for New York state. Now I am a nervous wreck driving because I am afraid of another no fault accident. I am nervous sick to my stomach and it has caused emotional distress I want to let others know about this incident. With all the years I paid them my premiums, they got more money out of my pocket than they put out for this claim.

Daughter blew a tire in 2001 Olds Silhouette van. Travelers used CCC ONE to value van at total loss. I was shocked and protested it was not a total loss. After visiting web sites seeing lots of complaints and class action suits vs. CCC ONE, I attempted to submit my own "comp car" valuations showing how grossly my car was undervalued. I found that the "comp" cars listed by CCC ONE were: not available, had prior accident records, had been sold several times at auctions and were not the same model as mine (mine was an Olds Silhouette Premier model with even more options over the Standard Premiere model, theirs were the much cheaper $6,000 new models). Car Fax reports on them showed dents, dirt, etc. Their comps were in some cases out of area and there are other discrepancies to be discussed later.
When I tried to send this info to Travelers they called and said not to bother sending my own comps; they were not going to look at them and their total loss figure stood based on CCC ONE values. All these issues have been in online complaints for periods extending to at least 2006 and subsequent with alarming regularity.
When I noticed the CC ONE valuation included a deduction for hail damage that I never knew I had, I took my car to a body shop for a hail damage appraisal by a firm actually doing most insurance company hail damage appraisals. CCC ONE had placed $200 (approximate) deduction for the hail damage, which I traced back to July 27, 2011 storm. Since I was going to buy the car back at salvage value if I lost my argument with Travelers over total loss, I submitted the hail damage claim. The comprehensive loss claim department quickly approved payment of the $2,050 less $100 deductible and told me the check was going out that day. When it never showed, after near a week I checked back and no one would reply to phone messages. Finally I got a call from the total loss department saying they held the check and tried to get me to agree that the comprehensive hail claim amount would be deducted from any future pay out on the collision loss.
I would not accept that because, as I pointed out, their CCC ONE estimate would have been the same whether or not I had collected on the hail claim in July and not fixed the car yet or for that matter just decided to pocket the money in July. They know that if I had accepted their check I was going to repurchase the car under the required Salvage purchase option and still had the hail loss to fix. They are using the CCC ONE valuation as a one-sided, concrete, immovable valuation not adjustable by the proof of "lowballing" the Travelers refuses to accept, but a lopsided inaccurate valuation subject to their discretion only (not contestable by me only by them); when it comes to saying the CCC ONE formula for hail damage should have resulted in a $2,050 mACV value deduction on my van not the $250 they tried to use initially against me. Amazingly, they sent the offer in writing which in effect transfers the comp loss for the hail into a collision loss with the both comp $100 deductible and the $500 collision deductible netted out of any prospective ultimate collision payout. They already took the $100 deductible out when sending the hail check this week. But they want to double dip on it on the collision loss.
Also, I had another vehicle, a Ford Taurus that I sold concurrent with buying a reconstructed Buick to replace it. This was in the past 2 weeks. Travelers refused to write the Buick. I believe it was retaliatory because my policy language says any replacement vehicle will be covered with the same coverage as the vehicle it replaced. Travelers’ policy does not state that they will not cover reconstructed replacement vehicles. However, this brought up an interesting issue. Is Travelers using total loss valuations as a vehicle to by pass Pennsylvania strict law on refusals to write or non renew? Declare a car a total and when you accept their money and buy it back from them as a reconstructed vehicle they refuse to write it. So they want to total my car, take $1,100 for it rather than the $3,100 offered originally (deducting the hail claim). They want to have me get the car back after paying them $500 for salvage and incurring all the title transfer and special inspection issues/costs inherent in repurchasing a salvage title car. They refuse to write coverage on it (I never would have known had I not bought the Buick-Travelers hid that fact), force me to get insurance elsewhere on the van at a greatly increased premium because Travelers had discounts for homeowners and auto placed with them, and lose additional money at van trade in time in the future because of a reconstructed title that was not necessary.
I want to add that Travelers refused to explain to me how the CCC ONE mileage deduction was computed. I checked and Car Fax says 15,000 miles per year is considered average for my van. After CC ONE gets a market value (based on take price not actual selling price offered to the public), they then use a mysterious other deduction on value from those take prices to come up with my comp value in a second column. One would presume the difference between the two columns would be a depreciation factor and mileage, etc., not condition or prior wrecks because the dealer price already has that in the cars on the lots. The used car dealers offer Car Fax reports and surely they have made their own deductions because when a customer comes sees the dents, etc. in the cars plus sees the prior accidents on the car, the prospective purchaser will only pay the "diminished value price". In any event, after using the lower of the 2 columns to get a CCC ONE price they double up the deduction on value by again taking off for the hail damage, condition, high mileage, etc. in a single line deduction that has absolutely no tie in to the difference between column one and column two of their report.
Travelers refused to discuss how this is reconcilable. They refused to respond to any of my questions about the CCC ONE valuation. They said they could not give me a premium effect of the accident on renewal; they remarkably at one point said the car was unsafe, but when I told them I wanted to move it to my home for free storage they said it's ok to drive it the 2 hours home from the town of Clearfield PA, where it was parked but had to be moved. So suddenly it was safe to drive 2 hours when they could save storage fees. Also, Travelers said I could drop the collision claim entirely and Travelers would remove the classification of the van as a total loss. Suddenly the tag on the widow that they placed as a total loss requiring a special Pa inspection means nothing when Travelers is off the hook. The car miraculously changes under their unsafe standard to a new Travelers stance that is now safe to drive as long as it saves them money.
I worked for Pa. Insurance Department for 35 years, received a special plaque from the Director of the FBI for assistance in teaching their agents how to investigate white collar crime, especially reinsurance fraud and in addition to conducting financial examinations conducted Market Conduct Examinations. I can say without doubt that there are many violations of Pa. Appraisal Act as well as Unfair Insurance Practices Act regarding my case at hand. I think a class action suit is warranted. I checked and legal fees can be added on as though compensatory when determining the limitations on punitive damages imposed by the Supreme Court on bad faith claims. I also believe that because my health condition included high blood pressure and it is obvious by my e-mails (reflecting loss of sleep in all night research to correct the wrongs), that mental duress can be put on the table as an additional compensatory damage to be put into the Supreme Court 9-1 ratio of punitive to compensatory damage calculation. A simple typing of CCC ONE into your browser will show all the complaints and class action suits. I want to sue Travelers and CCC ONE for conspiracy to defraud, bad faith, mental duress, fraud, etc.

After repeated attempts to inquire about my claim, I received a letter stating he could not reach me. That is a lie because we had already spoke several times prior to his letter. He kept telling me that he was not sure if his client had insurance. When I told him I was on my way to report his client for driving without insurance, he suddenly had a check for me!.

My car was rear-ended almost 2 months ago by a Travelers' client, and they have been the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with.
After months of fighting with them and another company, as there was more than 2 vehicles involved, the company still refuses to accept any liability. The Insurance company for the third vehicle was the only one that scheduled me for a courtesy estimate at a body shop, even though the damage to the front of their insured vehicle was only cosmetic as was the damage to the rear of the vehicle that hit me.
After all this time, I have photographic evidence of the extensive damage to the back of my vehicle and the front of the vehicle that hit me, both vehicles sustaining frame damage. The only answer I received from Travelers was, "I have a recorded statement from the driver of the third vehicle stating that that vehicle hit the second vehicle and might have pushed it into mine."
When asked how to justify minor cosmetic damage only for that impact compared to the major damage with my impact, the agent could give no plausible explanation, only kept referring to the recorded statement. When asked when a person's statement was taken as proof over factual evidence (photos, body shop estimates, and the extensive repairs already completed on the second vehicle), I was told the facts are being taken into account, but "we have a recorded statement".
This is the most useless company and is clearly intent on ignoring their financial obligations as an insurance company. Not only would I never recommend contacting them for your own personal insurance, I pray that no other vehicle accident victim has to experience this complete lack of customer service and professionalism. After reading some of the other reviews, it is apparent that this lack of professionalism is demonstrated to their own customers as well, which is truly sad. Again, stay as far away from this company, or any of their insured drivers, as you possibly can unless you want to experience the same feeling of violation.
I will have to either go to small claims court to get the repairs accomplished on my vehicle, or pay the deductible and hope that the insurance companies can fight it out and I get reimbursed

Recently she was in an auto accident. The claims person named in this complaint along with a Maria *****, I feel took advantage of my aging parents and didn't fullfill their duties as her insurance representatives. No one came to the house to see the vehicle and speak to her only Maria ***** by phone, nor did they asked her where she wanted the repairs done.
Ed ***** sent a tow truck to pick her vehicle up and took it to a repair shop where he has his office. My parents were made to understand that was where it had to go. When my parents were called to pick up the car across town they only repaired damages they assumed were done while leaving others they claimed had nothing to do with the accident.
My mothers car was like new with no dings, scratches, or other damages prior to the accident, and when I explained that to them both Ed ***** and Maria ***** told me that the repair shop would asess the situation and determine if those repairs would be done.
I asked Ed since when does the repair shop make those calls? Ed was rude and a smart a**. I said my parents wanted to take the vehicle to Bill Currie Ford to complete the repairs, where they would have gone had they been asked.
He said he would call back when arrangements were made and never did. I called several times and left messages and none were returned.
So here I am trying to help my parents out...they live on a retirement income and paid a $500 deductible only to have their car returned half repaired that was like new prior to the accident and Traverlers ignoring to help them, instead siding with their chosen repair shop.

I was in a hit-and-run accident a few months ago that left my car and me in the middle of the street with damages. The person was never found and my insurance company has refused to help me from the beginning. They claimed my car as a total lost, even though it is in driving condition (only with damage to the back right side of the car). They refused to pay for any damages and they also refused to pay my medical expenses (chiropractor).
The company is also trying to possess my car and force a cash buyout. The car works fine and I have someone who can fix the damaged area. They still insist on taking my car and trashing it. I want my car. Is it against the law that I keep the car I paid for and paid insurance for? Does the law support insurance companies taking people's cars and not paying for damages like this? Can I get help solving this situation?

I would like to report the "criminal act" committed by 3 attorneys of Travelers Insurance Co. To be brief, I was involved in an accident where a person ran a red light and struck me on the passenger side of my vehicle. I was wrongfully ticketed at the accident scene. I was struck with such force that it fractured my nose and required facial stitching. I also had a severe multicolored bruise on my hip from the seat belt. I was taken by ambulance to the hospital because I had severe abdominal and back pains. I did not even know I was bleeding or injured on my face. We went to court and the man who ran the red light admitted to the judge that he ran the red light. The judge asked him, "Sir, did you run the red light?" The man replied, "Yes, I did."
Travelers tried suing me and I believe my attorney countersued. The case was referred to mediation where the crimes were committed. The mediation process started with a white female attorney (Travelers), my attorney, the mediator and my father. The white female attorney was having trouble and called in 2 other attorneys - a black male and a white male attorney (I do not know their names). Both the white female and black male attorneys of Travelers were adamant that the case was not over who was at fault, but my ability to prove my injuries came from the accident. The white female attorney said, "We are not contesting this over who is at fault; we already know our client was at fault. We are contesting this over your ability to prove your injuries came from this accident." The black male attorney became upset about something and interjected, "Look. We know our client was at fault, your injuries came from another accident." The white female attorney also said, "If this goes to trial, we are not going to pay you one penny."
I was coerced into signing a release and settling for $11,500. After the attorney (mine) was paid and after paying pennies on the dollar to my medical practitioners, there was $2,800. left. My personal injury had a deductible of $2,000 which left $800. That did not even cover the expenses of going to and from the medical practitioners. I am charging that the 3 attorneys of Travelers Insurance used fraudulent deception in obtaining my release. They led me to believe if it went to court, that they did not have to pay! I was in fact coerced through fraudulent deception into signing this release. I was objecting the whole time but was led to believe I would receive nothing. I believe there is a law that says if 3 people of a company conspire an illegal fraudulent act, this is referred to as racketeering.
The insurance company (Travelers) was required by law to pay my full immediate losses - my medical bills, lost wages, support (my parents supported me while I could not work), my automobile (was 10 days old). Because Travelers was required by law to pay these losses, yet racketeered the act, they in turn profiteered from the act of racketeering. Travelers is also responsible for theft of my vehicle. They assumed liability for their client and were liable for the replacement cost. So the criminal acts I am charging that Travelers Insurance Co. committed: Fraudulent deception (fraud), that they conspired and racketeered the act, that they profiteered from the act and that they are responsible for the theft of my vehicle.
Just so you know, I was able to prove through forensic evidence that was in Travelers' hands at that time that my injuries were from this accident. I contacted Travelers and they said, "You should not have signed the release," that they won't pay because statutes of limitations. But these crimes were committed by Travelers. I have all the forensic evidence as well as document, medical, etc., and government data that supports the forensic evidence. These support all the forensic evidence and show the injuries that one may expect to have. I was driving my vehicle and was struck at approximately 35mph directly where the seat belt was. That is why I had such a severe bruise from the seat belt. My car was struck with such force that it bent the roof above my head on the driver's side of the vehicle.
Travelers Insurance know they are guilty of these crimes, yet they have no remorse, they feel no guilt, they are dishonest, unethical, immoral and down right criminals. I would like to give you the evidences and proof that Travelers are criminals and that they are protected by a blanket of law. Travelers Insurance Co are criminals who commit fraud, racketeer, profiteer, steal and destroy the lives of innocent accident victims. I also believe there is a possibility that they might also commit the act of witness tampering and possible deny innocent victim's workman's compensation insurance, causing further loss and injury by preventing these victims from obtaining meaningful employment. I believe that if they commit the crimes that they did, then there is a possibility that they might commit the tampering and workman's comp denials.
Travelers have been criminals - I can prove this! I believe that they probably still are criminals. And this is the most sophisticated form of racketeering, profiteering, fraud and conspiracy by abusing the process of mediation. This process must be fair. In order for the process to have been a fair process, the immediate losses had to be on the table from the beginning. They are allowed to negotiate future loss, pain and suffering, etc. But they, by law, have to pay the immediate losses as described earlier in this letter. So they may not compensate for the loss to myself and my family, but I will let people know the truth - that Travelers are criminals.
My car cost $3,400. I had to get a replacement car (approximately the same). My parents supported me and paid for expenses as well for travel to and from the medical professionals, my rent, my food, my fuel and a reasonable amount for entertainment to keep me from becoming inactive. The amount is approximately $50,000 at the least. I have other details about the domino effect it had on me and my family's finances, as well as the loss of a dream business where the person who purchased it became a billionaire, as well as the resentment from my siblings for the loss to my parents and the financial strain and loss of opportunity for a business that would have provided employment, income and a great future put that extra strain on my father's heart. He died of a heart attack!
Travelers, in turn, are partially responsible for the strain on my father's heart and are in part responsible for his death! These are the crimes that Travelers Insurance's attorneys are guilty of. Thank you very much, sincerely, for exposing the true crimes committed by Travelers Insurance. Have a great day!
** The statutes of limitations do not apply. Travelers used this contract that was obtained under fraud that makes the crime an active and ongoing crime. Once they used the fraudulently obtained contract to stop an internal investigation into the crime, the use of the contract activated the crime to present day.

Mr. ** and I spoke on Thursday, November 15, 2007, regarding an auto accident that his client, Ms. Semone **, and I were involved in on Monday, November 5, 2007. The accident resulted in his client colliding with my vehicle, causing extensive damage. When discussing the offer of the claim, he proceeded to blame me for the accident and said that he was only going to offer 0% - 10% to cover the damages to my vehicle. Upon disputing the offer, he then said, "Now, were not going to give you anything.” I expressed to Mr. ** that I felt threatened because I did not agree with the offer. Mr. ** then said he did not care. He further stated that everyone will blame me for the accident because I was making a left turn and everybody knows that the person turning left is always at fault.
As a result of the accident and not having an offer presented to me that will result in repairing my vehicle, it has left me and my family without transportation to and from school, my spouse is arriving at work late because now he has to take our two children to school, as well as leaving me physically limited. The accident re-injured a preexisting spinal condition, which took three spinal surgeries to repair in 2006. I lived in NY up until July 2001. I have a 2000 Honda Civic that was insured by Travelers. The car was in NY until July 13, 2001. It was shipped to Florida. I continued to pay insurance on this car until Sept. 2001. I had gotten insurance with GEICO, so I was paying two insurance companies at the same time. I sent Travelers copies of the Florida certificate of title and registration, which was issued to me on 9/18/01. I also sent them an original insurance card from GEICO. They said that I still had to pay them even though I had everything here in Florida. I was told that they wanted the FS-6T from NYS Motor Vehicles. I asked if they could give the address, they said to call the broker.
I wrote the broker, and they said they didn't have an address for Motor Vehicles and if I had a friend or family that I could give the plates to. They said I had to pay. I don't understand how I have to pay insurance to a state where the car is not in. And in between all that we also had the horrible day of Sept. 11th. They are now telling me that if I don't pay Oct. and Nov. that they are sending me to collection. I await your reply. I have suffered very severe migraines. I have a constant pain in the base of my neck. The doctor says that this is caused by nervous tension. I am a school teacher and this is making me very tense and not a nice person to be with. It is affecting my personality and even my memory. I do not want to lose my job.
