American Home Shield was going to send somebody out for our oven, and it was within the 48-hour time frame they respond, but we were on the outer ridges of his area. There was an appliance contractor that we have used before and they were just in the next town, so we requested for them. American Home Shield canceled the first guy, gave the job to this next guy, and he came out that afternoon and the service was good. The tech told us to wait, use the breaker switch, leave the oven off, and then after 30 minutes, reset it and see how it works.

The problem could have been a power outage, and the oven went off completely as all the power went out in the house. I've got a standby generator which usually works but that was overloaded. The oven had a little sign on it that it cannot communicate with the upper oven, so when the power came back on, I just hit the button and everything seemed to be working fine. But the tech said he would check back with us if it happened again because it could be the board. He was even surprised that there was no serial number in the oven to give us some kind of a date. Overall, the service with American Home Shield varies from time to time, but they always got to be reached.

The dishwasher wasn’t working and it had something to do with the outlet. That was my one claim with American Home Shield and I did it over the phone. They were very professional and they told me they would take care of me. They were very good. They set up the right time and the gentleman was here on time. He was very pleasant and friendly. He told us not to worry and that he would take care of the problem. He knew what he was doing too. He searched it out, found out what the problem was and took care of it. I haven’t had any more problems with the dishwasher since then. It was a very good experience and I would recommend American Home Shield.

AHS is a great company to do business with. Within the last 18 months, my refrigerator went out. The guy came out on Monday and took a look at the unit and on Tuesday, AHS called and told me to go pick out a new refrigerator since it was more cost-efficient for them to get me a new one. They also told me to make sure it has the features I already had and to call them with the model number and they’ll have it shipped to me. A girlfriend came over and told me that I must have spent a fortune on my new fridge but I told her that it only cost me the deductible on my insurance. She asked what my insurance was, which is AHS, and signed up for it when she got home. They also sent out a pool guy for my worn-out multiport, the spider gasket and the hard gasket just underneath the port handle. I called him Tuesday and he was here fixing it today.

However, three months ago, I had AHS replace the brain part of my pump, the electric part of it, not the impeller. The pool company that had replaced it, I found out, did not hook it up properly. So, every time it got on it was cutting off the electricity to its end of the house because it was sawing the breaker. Had my house not been made of stone, it would’ve caught my house on fire because it was sawing a short out. I realized what was going on when I walked out there when it did it. My brother is an AHS contractor and he told me to just keep calling them and to make them come out. AHS sent out another pool guy out, but he told me that he doesn't service the kind of pump that I have. I diagnosed what the problem was and called AHS again and told them to send me an electrician.

The electric guy who came out was the one who told me that it was incorrectly hooked up and that the pool company who did the job has obviously never hooked up such part before. Plus, they didn't put a long enough electrical cord, to go all the way, since it has to be permanently wired in. And so, it was making it pull on it. He also told me that it was getting ready to put a hole through my pump because it was shooting a spark. He then fixed it and it has been wonderful ever since. I, however, paid another fee for that visit, which I still object to doing. It took us more than 90 days to figure out what was going on because when the work was done, it was at winter time and my system comes on automatically if the temperature drops below 32 degrees so it doesn’t freeze up.

I've had problems with AHS in the past on my AC unit. I was supposed to have the top plan then but they told me that I had to pay $1,000. I wasn't going to pay them that because I was paying them constantly so I got somebody else to do the work. I considered dropping them then but I got them back because I needed to have some kind of insurance. For my most recent claim, however, I was satisfied with what they did. I called and submitted a claim for my heating unit. The rep that I spoke with was good. She immediately processed my claims. The contractors they sent took care of the job, cleaned up after themselves and then left. I asked them for a written contract so they wrote one up and gave it to me. Since the repair, the unit has been doing well.

I called American Home Shield to submit a claim as I had an issue with the washer. I waited for an hour but nobody picked up the phone so, I did it online. It was very frustrating but then after I went online, it was pretty fast. That same day after I filed the claim, the contractor called me and then after two days, they came over. They were very friendly and they fixed the problem quickly. They came for two things and then they had to order a part for the dryer. So, they went and ordered that which came after a week. They did something so I was able to use the dryer until the new part came in and then they came and changed it. It has been working good since the repair. However, it was a challenge to get somebody on the phone. I had a question and I didn’t know if I had to pay the contractor when the part gets back or before the part get here. There was nobody to talk to.

I love submitting a claim with American Home Shield. I do it online and it's very easy. Normally, they'd respond that they got it within a couple of minutes and usually the technician would call me within the same day. Recently, I didn’t have hot water so I called AHS and the techs they sent showed up on time. They fixed the item the first time they were here and I was very pleased. We found out that the pipe was frozen coming in to the hot water tank so, they really didn't have to fix anything. I just had to power up a pipe and now the heater's working good. Overall, AHS was very responsive and very easy to deal with.

We had some unusually cold winter in Louisiana and my heat pump froze up. When it stopped producing heat, my wife got online with American Home Shield and made a claim and requested if somebody can check the unit. It was 8:00 that night and we got an email that same night saying that the claim was processed. The next morning, we received another three emails. Then somebody called me at around 9:00 in the morning and said that somebody would be here within 24 hours. About an hour later, the local rep who represents American Home Shield in Louisiana called from Lafayette, which was about 18 miles away, and told me that they were going to be here the following morning. He then asked when the problem happened so I told him. I also told him that I had my friend, who is an air conditioner guy, check out the issue and I wanted to make sure.

The tech did his own independent study and confirmed my friend's assessment. An electronic board was not working right but the tech didn’t have the part because it was an old unit so he had to come back the next day. A different guy came back with the part and fixed the unit, which ran fine afterward. Then I gave him $100, which was my deductible. It's unfortunate that the repair took two days, whereas if I hired a local guy, it could have been fixed right away.

Even though the contractor came from Lafayette, they shop it around like a national company. It may not have been mighty cost effective but if American Home Shield could use actually local people and businesses who could have come and fix my issue then it would have saved me 24 hours. It has warmed up enough where the air conditioner was needed and I didn’t need the heat pump part of it. But if they knew what board and unit it was then they could have known that they didn’t have the part in stock and that they needed to order it. Still, it was very good service all in all. And the response time in terms of getting the appointment set up was very good.

I was skeptical at first so I was glad to be able to use American Home Shield on something that wasn't so critical to see the timeframe. It worked out and we were satisfied. I've told a friend that American Home Shield is good and they service all the appliances, the pipes, and air conditioners. However, one has to know that their appliance might be out for a couple of days while the contractors make an assessment on whether it could be fixed or if a new one is needed.

Our most recent claim with American Home Shield started on the 28th of June of 2017, and the first time somebody came out was the 3rd of July. A free standing ice maker quit producing ice initially, and since then, we have had three different companies out a total of 15 different times. Every single time, they give a four-hour window. So, we've had to take 60 hours of work time off to be home, to have somebody come out that didn't know what they were doing. The first one that came out finally gave up. He also brought his kid with him every time. It wasn't professional at all. The second one said that he didn't work on U-Line, but he came four to five times. 10 days ago, the last company that we worked with finally sent us a technician who actually works on U-Line. They sent him out five times too, but at least now it's working right.

The American Home Shield representatives are understanding but they couldn't really do anything. At some point, I would think it would be far more cost-effective for them to replace something than to continue to pay for service calls every time when somebody comes out. We requested for a payout and we were told, "We can't do that 'cause we've ordered parts for it". But they ordered parts for it with providers that don't know what they're doing, have never worked on one before and don't know what they were. They kept my claim on file but I'm stuck to call back in every time, and wait on hold for an hour and a half to get somebody. I've got four homes with American Home Shield but when the contracts are up, I don't know if we'll stay with them because of this experience. It took seven months to get an appliance fixed.

The length of time it takes for American Home Shield to go get parts and get the parts to the repair crew is ridiculous. My heat pump went down right after Thanksgiving but it didn’t get repaired until the first week of January. I live in Northern Virginia and it’s been very cold now. I can’t have the house without heat and my electric bill went through the roof because I had to use emergency heat. But they took care of the problem. They ordered the parts and did whatever they needed to do. I just had to wait for the parts to come in and for them to come back out because they can’t come out unless they’ve got parts in hand.

Now I’ve been waiting on the blower. I need a new blower that they ordered and that’s been sent in the middle of January but here we are in February and I’m still waiting. I’ve got a lot of noise now that comes out of my air handlers so the actual full repairs hasn’t been completed yet. I even have to initiate a call for them to make sure that it hasn’t dropped off of schedule. I have to ask if the part was on order, if the part has come in or what they are doing. I get none of that unless I call. But that aside, it is a good service overall.

My heat exchange had become rusted out and it had some holes in it, and American Home Shield had it replaced. I submitted the claim through the website which is always easy to navigate. The contractors were really good. It was a sensitive piece of thing to put back in the heat exchange. If there's gas here and it's leaking, carbon monoxide could get into the house. There was a newer guy doing the work and the supervisor came and watched him install it, making sure he did it right. They were both nice guys and they came out when it was cold. I've had other contractors that I didn't like, but I liked these guys.

We’ve had American Home Shield since we had this house around 2002. Whenever I submit the claims, I do it via telephone and it’s very simple. And then we’d get someone out real soon and a call within a limited time from the contractor. Occasionally, we also have a follow-up call from Home Shield or a call explaining if they could not provide the service or our contract didn’t call from that service.

In the past, we had Glen’s Mechanical. They showed up and did good work. They were steady and did not waste our time. Once they have the diagnoses, they sometimes had to get the part. But most of the time, they’ve repaired it on the spot. Since then, the heater has worked beautifully. It was a very good experience.

The latest claim we filed was for a motor problem in the downstairs heating unit. We could hear a very strange noise coming from it. AHS sent someone out who diagnosed it quickly and then came back when he got off the revision and repaired it. The access was outside the house. So, he called and said it was repaired and operating perfectly, and it was.

However, there was one time when we waited on a product for a very long time which was very irritating but it wasn’t anything within the last few years. We recommend Home Shield very often to anybody buying a new house. It’s a good and helpful product to own when going into a house and simply taking the word of the people who’ve lived there which is not always 100%. Also, it’s a good product to have to help sell one’s house. The first time we bought a house, in ’98, we felt comfortable with our home warranty. And then, when we moved to the Hot Springs in 2000, we asked the seller to provide it with the new house that we bought and they did. The first night we were there, even though it passed the inspection, there had been a gigantic split in the tub upstairs and the water tank was in the ceiling. Home Shield was the first people to respond to us. And it made us feel good.

When submitting a claim to AHS, the automated system was fine but when I went to do a follow-up, I didn’t understand how the process worked. I thought they were going to deal with everything that was outstanding. And a couple of times, I had to call in and I was on hold for 90 minutes. It was not a good experience. And because it wasn’t setup correctly the first time, they denied the claim. So, I wasn’t happy.

The first time I talked to their rep, it was awful because the guy's computer was down after waiting on hold 90 minutes and I asked him to transfer me to somebody else and he said he couldn't. I was shocked. He said he was sorry and I have to call back. I was so upset at that moment. AHS is understaffed and they need more people. But when I had a problem with the water pressure regulator as it was broken and there was too much pressure in the house, the contractor they sent out did a good work. I had to go back and do the second thing myself but the main issue, he took care of it.

I couldn't take a shower and do the laundry because the drain from the house to the sewer system was overflowing into the yard. I called AHS and it was all automated. I would really like the submission of claims not to be automated though, because I like talking to somebody when I’m stressed out. I need an answer right then or at least feel like somebody’s truly interested in what my issue is.

It took a couple of days for American Home Shield to send out a contractor because they didn’t call me back for 24 hours. Then they had to schedule it. The contractor was a very knowledgeable and friendly fellow. He cleaned the drain out but had to come back because it was still overflowing when I did laundry. He then cleaned it out from the system into the house.

However, I had an experience with them last year that did not turn out like I wanted it to. We bought our house last year but the seller didn't inform anybody that there were things that were not working. The dishwasher was missing a seal on it but AHS fixed that. Also, the oven didn’t work and it took several trips over two months and two different contractors to get it fixed.

The first contractor that they sent out chipped my faceplate on the control board of the stove and refused to fix it. American Home Shield wouldn’t fix it either because they didn’t break it. That really upset me because they should insure that the people they send would fix things correctly and not do damage. Also, they didn’t authorize the second one that came out that actually fixed it and the faceplate is still not replaced. I’ve had them out several times and when I put together all the times that they’ve come out, the others will offset this one. Overall, it’s been a pretty good experience but I'm not going to renew my contract with them.

American Home Shield is a very good thing to have because I’m not Ms. Fixit, and when I call, I normally get a quick response. And everything is done in a timely manner. I called them the next day after my heater had started to blow cold air. Most people, when you call them for something, they’re rude, but the AHS rep I spoke with was very pleasant and said that they would get somebody out here as soon as they could. The contractor appeared to be very caring, and he said he would do whatever.

Most of the people that I’ve had to call were fine, but I had one bad experience with one of their contractors, Greenway. One guy came out and he automatically said that my Freon was two pounds low. So, it was almost $200 that I had to pay. I was not even sure that he put it in there. He never even checked it before he said it was low. Also, he said that I had a leak and that he couldn’t check for a leak because AHS didn’t authorize it. But I learned from someone else that they can check for leaks. So, the guy who did my air-conditioning that time wasn’t honest at all. I told AHS about the freon, and they said I had to pay for it.

I usually submit claims at American Home Shield online and it takes quite a while for someone to come and do the service. I had a plumbing problem one time and I thought that since the plumber was here, he would fix the dripping tap. I didn’t specify that I had dripping taps as well so I still needed to take care of that. But it's hard for me to be home for the window of time that they give, so I haven't called it in yet. It's been dripping for two months since the plumber was here. I also have an electrical problem that hasn’t been fixed because they're telling me that I have to go into the wall to figure it out and that's not covered. So, I just keep going without lights outside.

My most recent claim with AHS was for a washing machine which started out by not spinning. I went without a washer for over a month. The techs came and they had to analyze what it was. They also had to order parts. They came back a week later and fixed it, but it wasn’t fixed so they had to come back and see what was wrong. They had to get more parts so it went on for quite a while. But other than that, it did get fixed. The people that come here are fine but I'm not thrilled with one of the women on the phone from Accord Appliances. I was calling to get the appointment set up and she answered the phone, but she didn't know she had answered it. She said, "If this person calls me one more time, I'm going to shoot myself." Then I said to her, "Excuse me, but I heard that." She said, "I'm so sorry. I was on my mobile phone." She said she wasn’t talking to me, but I heard the conversation so I was a bit upset about that.

He looked at the unit and determined that it had a leak and the coils on it were in rough shape. He went back and recommended to have it replaced. He had to fill out a work order to justify it being replaced and it took 11 days for the whole process.

I had to run the emergency heater inside the house because we were in below-freezing temperatures at the time. They’ve had to come back twice. The first time the unit’s heat strip was bad and they had to replace it. Then the second time the Freon wasn’t at the correct level. Both times the unit was icing up but it has been resolved now. I’m confident that AHS would take care of their customers. The timeliness and the cost of the service call is questionable at times but they're still good.

I called American Home Shield in because the freeze guard of our swimming pool failed to operate and they had someone called me the assignment to, in this case, a company called Extreme Pool Service. And then that pool service called and set up and appointment. It was a very easy process. And the contractor was very nice. They had been out once before a couple of years ago. They are very knowledgeable and he said it was just very fortunate and it would have a much bigger loss because they go below freezing there and some of the pipes froze up and none of them broke. So we had a freeze guard replacement. All the times I've had a problem Americah Home Shield was just on it and very quickly and just handled it without any problem at all.

I have American Home Shield the whole time that I've owned my home since 1999. The homeowner was supposed to have some sort of coverage when I first bought the home and I just continued. I usually call them when I file my claims and their reps were knowledgeable and professional. After I put the call in, I normally get a quick response from the contractor. I have also recommended AHS to other people. I haven't had any problems with them with the exception of the co-pay going up $25. Originally, it was $50 and now, it's $75. But the work that I've had done would have cost hundreds of dollars out of my pocket if I didn't have AHS.

I had a washer-dryer combination and the dryer went out. The contractor couldn't fix it, so I got the replacement at the Sears outlet. With the cash out that they gave me, I was able to get a whole washer-dryer. So AHS was helpful with me purchasing a new set. Also, because AHS contracts business to do the work and don't have workers themselves, sometimes, there's a delay because the contractors don't always work with my schedule. I had an issue with one of the vendors, too, and I told AHS not to send them back at all.

We set up appointment with American Home Shield through online and it's all worked great. The contractors have been excellent and have always been able to resolve the issue, whatever the item was, except for the refrigerator. But the times that the technician was out here for the refrigerator, everything went fine. He's very courteous. He took the item apart and checked everything out. He was out here on two separate occasions, staying for over an hour but he wasn't fly-by-night. He just couldn't really find the problem. He indicated that if the temperature stayed below a certain digital figure, it was still good. So, we went with that. Sometimes the freezer would go from 0 up to 10 then it would go back down. It was like it was cycling through but never above 10. This is after the second visit.

Then, we went away on a vacation and came home. And the temperature of the refrigerator this morning was 52 in the freezer and 60 in the rest of the upper part of the refrigerator. So, we called it in again. Typically, if I call in on a Friday, I can't get people out till Monday, which is fine. But I called them, and I said, "Hey, whenever you schedule the appointment for, send somebody out that typically can find the problem. This is our third time." And the service gal that I talked to, goes, "Yeah. Let me talk to the head guy." So, I got a call here about an hour and a half now and they asked us if we were available today. They’re sending their senior technician out. And they're going to be out here sometime between noon and 5:00. We'll see what happens with that. Everything that could be checked has been checked previously. But it hasn't corrected. So, if they can't fix it, I'm going to put in a claim. I will call AHS and do that.

I had our oven on the clean setting when I heard what sounded like a balloon pop. It was locked because of the oven cleaning mode so I couldn’t open it and the digital display wasn't working. So I called Home Shield and they sent somebody out. Apparently, it was a little harder to get somebody to come out here since we live in Bennett and there’s not a lot of people out here that’s in contract with Home Shield. We didn’t hear from the company for five days. When the guy came out, I asked him about it and he said that they kept denying coming out here ‘cause normally, their company doesn’t come out here but then finally, they took the order.

The technician was wonderful and was able to fix the problem. He had texted me in the morning and asked for the serial number so he had brought everything he would need with him. He said the motherboard got too hot so it kind of exploded. He showed it to me and it was all burnt. He suggested to actually never use the self-cleaning button because it makes ovens too hot. He said that it's stupid that they have it on the oven because more often than not, it actually makes the motherboard fry up. It’s because people like me are lazy and they hear self-cleaning and they buy it.

Having to call in a claim to American Home Shield hasn’t been super awesome because I've had to be on hold for a while like when one of the call centers had gone down and I was on hold for over an hour. That was a little upsetting. Then, there was another time that I got disconnected. I had to call back and I wasn't sure if my payment had gone through. I didn’t know if I was going to be charged twice. So, I've been trying to utilize the online service more and online works fine.

The people that have come out to the house have been great and they've all been very helpful. It's a new house and they've even given me tips like, "Hey, you might keep an eye on this in the future," which has been really helpful for me. Also, there has been some extra work that I needed done and they've been very timely about it and told me exactly step-by-step what I needed to do.

There was one time I needed a replacement. The water company was very good about letting us know that they need to come back and they'd come back ASAP. But they could only come in the afternoon and they could only come in the daytime and we had to shut off the water. So, that was a slight inconvenience for me. But they wanted it to be as short of a time as possible for my water to be shut off. So, the water was shut off and they were back in the morning.

One thing that was bad was in May when the GNA put in a brand new furnace through the warranty. This winter, when it was like in the negative here, it started making a really loud banging noise for some reason. I had to call the warranty company because the first time it was getting so loud, it was actually terrifying. It was only seven months since they put it in. There shouldn't be anything wrong with it but it sounded like it was going to explode. I turned it off and it had cooled down. When I turned it back on, they didn’t know what was making that noise, so there was nothing they did about it.

Then, a day later, it started making that noise again and they couldn't send somebody out for three days. I was like having anxiety attacks because I couldn’t really shut it off because I needed it to be making that noise for when they came out again. When the guy came out the second time, he took everything out and put everything back in. He said I shouldn't have any problems now. They had just sent me a faulty furnace that the motor was put in at an angle and there was a panel that the screws were loose. And because it was so cold, it was overworking and it wasn’t giving itself enough time to cool down.

But that's the only downside I've had. I wasn’t happy that they sent me really a faulty furnace. I think that's more of the contractor's fault than AHS's fault. I wasn’t happy that I had to call them back because it was an extra $150 because I had to call them twice after that. But I've already told a friend of mine to get a home warranty especially because she just bought a house as well. It could save you money in the long run, especially if you'd have to call them multiple times.

We got the replacement and the faucet we got was the wrong one. They changed it to the correct one and we got everything new from the manufacturer. The plumber was very polite, and he did what he was supposed to do. It took around more than a month to get the faucet replaced, but it was not his fault. He tried his best to give us the best service. We were happy we got it replaced from the manufacturer because we didn't even know that we had a warranty, and he found that.

I submitted the claim online for the first time and I found that better than by phone because online, you can see what you’re doing. On the phone, you cannot be sure that the rep has written everything that you've said. Also, if you go by phone, it takes so long. It would help if American Home Shield adds some reps to reduce the call time. We've had issues with some of the contractors, but when we complain, they replace them with another contractor. But I have to pay a copay again if I want a different one. Other than that, I’m happy.

I got a very good review of AHS from my friend who was their customer. So I signed up with them. Recently, I filed a claim with them for my furnace that broke down. It was a pretty cold weather and it took more than two weeks for things to go around and get fixed. I was scared my pipes were going to get frozen so I would have appreciated it if they did it quicker. The contractors AHS sent came out on a Sunday evening and looked at it. Then they ordered a part and by the time the part came, it got over a week. After that, they came to a conclusion that the whole heater had to be replaced so that took another week. Then, I wanted an upgrade from the system that they gave me. So I went to the same contractor and he told me that I had to go and do a cashout. Then he'd come and fix it for me.

All in all, the contractor should have done a better diagnosis on the furnace so I did not have to wait so long. Also, it was very hard to get in touch with anybody at AHS. Every time I make a call regarding anything, I had to wait for more than an hour and sometimes the call got dropped. So it would be nice if somebody was there to pick up the call and give me a quick answer.

We had a claim recently with our water heater. We had the contractor, Budget Rooter, out twice. The first time, there was leak and they repaired a valve and it was okay. Then we noticed that our overflow valve outside was leaking so we called them back. They came back and said that that was not covered because our intake or outtake pipes were not up to code. Our home is older so the pipes were going up instead of down so they said that we needed to have those repaired but we would have to pay for it. We waited a week because we had some things going on. I got back with Budget Rooter but I had a very difficult time getting them to call me back.

I finally contacted American Home Shield and they were very helpful. They contacted the company and the company finally got back in touch with us and we got it resolved. They sent me a text and it said that my appointment for the next day was between 11 and 4. We stayed home all day but the guy didn’t get here until 6:30 in the evening. He said that their company redirected him at 3:30 that afternoon and he asked them specifically to call us but they didn't.

We ended up not having to have the work done because the second guy that Budget Rooter sent tested the valve and all he had to do was work with it a little bit and got some pressure to release. Lo and behold, it stopped leaking so it was satisfactory. He was very knowledgeable while the first one was not. They could do better to have a better technician. When the first one saw that our pipes weren’t up to code, he wouldn't even touch the valve, which had nothing to do with the pipes. The valve was on the water heater. He wasn't experienced and he was afraid he'd get in trouble. But this second technician was awesome. AHS covered what was done. It was on the same service call and there was no additional cost.

I maintain AHS mainly because of our heating and air system. In the past, our dryer broke five times within a couple-month period and they kept coming back and replacing the same part. They should just replace the dryer. We went out and bought a new washer and dryer so, in that respect, I'm not overly impressed because sometimes they took the cheapest route out. When something breaks that many times, then there's something wrong.

Also a few years back, we had new computer board in our 25 years old oven and they had to send it out for repair because they didn’t make them anymore. It took three and a half weeks but it was like 25 degrees off so I adjusted for it. Also, we had something that ended up not being covered one time but I didn't see it anywhere in writing. Our heating and air unit is 17 years old and we had a leak around one of the ducts. The contractor came out and he said that the issue was not covered. I asked what the problem was and he said there was one piece of the intake that wasn’t installed properly. We took his word that he was right and ended up paying $450. Nonetheless, AHS had our heating and air fixed a few times including some plumbing things. Their staff was always very responsive and nice. I recommended them to somebody at work and they got on the plan. One of our sons has their policy on his home as well.

My most recent claim with American Home Shield was for a water heater. There was a bit of a gas smell and it was supposed to be okay, but I wanted to make sure it really was okay. They put a smaller tank on top of the water heater so that if the water pressure increases, the excess pressure dries the water into the smaller tank instead of all over the floor. And I was told if that was cold, there was a problem there. Nevertheless, the heater’s performance has been good since the repair. My interactions with the contractor sent out have been fine.

However, I’m not that pleased with my experience with American Home Shield. It is impossible to get any kind of online, live, or personal contact. It takes entirely too long to talk to anybody and the computer aspect is very limited and you can’t put anything specific. You put in your request and that’s it. Right now, with my pending request, I can’t ask anyone so that’s not very good. The only thing I don't like is I have a plumber that comes three times and because they are able to replace the parts, even if it’s a major part or if they’re replacing the whole thing, I keep having this call. It is okay, but there are things I’m not too happy about.

AHS is a better way of taking care of home needs. When I do add the math, I've saved more than I've spent on the service. My house is 12 years old and so the first round of HVAC and appliance stuff is likely to break and need to be replaced. Having AHS makes sense where my family, our home life and our home's age, but if you have a new house, I wouldn't recommend getting them since you're likely not going to need it yet. However, my recent experience hasn’t made me want to continue with them. I had two consecutive claims with AHS. One was for the oven, while the other one was for the water heater. The oven got done quicker. I submitted the claim for it and the next day, I got a call from the contractor and he scheduled an appointment.

Sometimes, AHS would assign me a contractor from Memphis, which would add a day or two to the process since they're not making that one-way drive on most days. In this case, however, they used a local person and it went well. He was here and fixed the unit. The whole was a smooth process and it only took two days. With the water heater issue, on the other hand, we had to have two contractors come out. The first person couldn't diagnose the problem. It took almost a month because the contractors were from Memphis and they would only come to Jackson, where I live, twice a week. It slowed the process down and we went a month without hot water because it took forever to get resolved. It took way too long to diagnose an apparently simple issue. The difference was night and day between the two experiences. I would like AHS to use more local contractors.

I was running space heaters all over the house. So, the result was I got $500 higher electric bill than I normally do, but we survived. The local guy they sent out did decent work. He showed up when he said he would. The heater has been working absolutely flawless since the repair. But because of the holidays, it took 14 days to get it fixed.

However, there was a time that AHS sent a guy from over 100 miles away. Some of the big companies in Nashville won't service my area, so they called someone and tapped out to Alabama to come to Tennessee. The guy had to make three trips out here to get the work finished. He was going on a vacation and his son came out and did a not so good job. I called him back out to finish it and it was a joke. But that was the only time I've had a bad experience. Overall, having AHS is a good deal. I'd rather spend $65 a month than get $2,000 or $3,000 or $5,000 bill. It's a cheap insurance.

We've been with American Home Shield for 10 years. Submitting a claim is very easy. I just go online and put in my account number, and if I can't remember my account number, they can pull it up by my address. Then I go through the prompts. It will ask me what it is and if I know who made the appliance that I'm looking to get fixed. And then, they will send an email to me and let me know who they've sent it to, and I hear back from them in 24 hours. And everyone they've sent has been good.

The contractors sent by AHS come to the door and they identify themselves. A lot of times, if you give them enough information when they call and they know what they're going to be going into, then they know sometimes if it's a part. There are times where they have to come back, but if they know ahead of time and it's something basic, they're prepared to deal with it. The service has been good most of the time. Recently, our dishwasher wasn't draining. We had checked everything out, taken the bottom apart and cleaned the filters. It was a blockage, and the tech pushed the tube down through the tube under the sink. I wish I had gone that one step more 'cause it was exactly what we thought it was, but it was taken care of so it was good. Now it's working perfect.

When submitting a claim to American Home Shield, I call it in or I go to their site which is easier than sitting on the phone. When I call, I usually get put on hold and I wait forever. So, I never really get to talk to someone and I never really get a response from anyone. It just rings and rings and puts you on hold and then you have music playing for forever. The last person I talked to felt like someone that was at home and didn't want to be bothered. But I'm thankful that I have AHS. They always followed through with what the coverage says.

I have a company that comes and cleans my pool and takes care of everything once a week. And then if anything goes wrong, they let me know so that I can call AHS or get an appointment. AHS sent out a gentleman before who worked on my pool equipment. He messed the board up so he had to rewire everything to get it to run right. But the guy was wonderful and it's been going okay since he rewired it.

I went on the site and submitted the claim and they called and told me who will be contacting me and around about what time. The contractors were professional, really courteous and they did the work in a very timely manner. Everything went well and the unit was fixed within 24 hours. They had just done a wonderful job getting the contractor and notifying him and him contacting me, and the work getting done. From beginning to end they did an excellent job. They’re wonderful and their home warranty is one of the best. You need to have it.

My refrigerator was broken so I submitted a claim to American Home Shield and they sent one of the company representatives to check on that one. My wife was at home when the contractors came out and she told me that she had a good experience. She didn’t have any problem with them. They determined that the refrigerator was not working at all so they asked for the replacement from AHS.

I gave American Home Shield a call because I had a few couple of questions to check with them, whether I can get it through Sears or if I should purchase online through GE Appliance. They gave me the option of either choosing one of the appliances from the internet or going to Sears and they will provide the money based on the receipt that we provide. My refrigerator was LG so I decided to go with an LG appliance. I purchased it from Sears and gave them the receipt. They gave me the equivalent amount of almost $2,150 and I got my check within a week so it was a very good experience.

Also, it was really good with the rep I spoke with. They had good knowledge and shared their experience. They gave me ideas on where to go and what to do in case what happens. They also wrote down on the receipt my email address, phone number, and my contract number so that there won’t be any hassle on getting the money back from the receipt that I gave American Home Shield.

But one time, we had a claim that got delayed. It took two or three weeks until a replacement was done. That was a difficult time for us because we had to put our food in the freezer down in the basement and then get the food from the basement to up to the kitchen every day. It would be better if they can do more expedited claims, especially with the water or freezer because if those are broken, then there's nothing to do. It would be more ample for the person who has only one freezer in their house. But everything else was good and I have had a good experience with American Home Shield. Their customer service representatives are very awesome. They handled those problems in a very smooth way and it looks like they are experienced personnel. I definitely recommend using American Home Shield.

I made a claim for my washing machine and I didn’t have a good service. The people that they recommended to come to my house took so long and I was upset. They were supposed to come out but they called and said that they had two technicians that were out sick. So they set an appointment to come back but they never showed up. I called back again on a Monday and they scheduled to see me on Wednesday. I waited for them to come and I called back AHS and they told me they have no record that I called Monday. Finally, the contractor came out. Then, he came out again yesterday and told me that AHS would probably replace my washer because there was some piece that he couldn't put on.

AHS replaced my stove which was great. They also replaced my washing machine one time. And I've never had problems with who they sent out. But this washing machine now is broken. I want to get what I'm paying for. And when you call to get service, you got to pay $80 before somebody can come out. I don’t have the money where I can just pay right then 'cause I only get paid once a month and I have other bills. Also, AHS is going up on my contract. I got a letter and the price might be going up again.

Moreover, I'm a little disturbed because when you call, you can never get anybody and it's hard. I got to work early in the morning and called and still got the funny message on the phone that they were servicing other customers. That time in the morning? That's crazy. I need the service but the way things are with them, I could not talk to their reps to tell them the problems that I have. I got to talk to an answering computer and I don’t have a computer. Somebody asked me if I have AHS and they complained about the same thing of not being able to talk to somebody.

I've had two heating problems and I submitted a claim to AHS for both of them. One was a rental property and the other one was my home and both of them happened around the same time. One of them went extremely well and they handled it right away. However, I had a big time issue with the other one. All I needed was a thermostat replaced. I put the request in back in November and it did not get handled until two weeks ago. The experience was terrible. I've been with them for a while, so I wasn't that taken aback. I don't think the request got to the vendor initially. And then, when it went to the vendor, that particular vendor came out just to look and I never heard from him again.

I dealt with the same issue for about three months. The only time I spoke with them was when I initiated it. So, it's as if they didn't give a good crap. They did not do a proper follow-up. I don't think that they did proper vetting in the first place. Had they done that, I wouldn't have experienced this in the second place. And their follow-up after being put on notice several times was little to none. Almost to the point where I am seriously thinking about leaving them and going to another company. And then, when the second service call went out, they handled it so well. They sent out that same vendor that I used that finally fixed my issue regarding the thermostat. I like the service people and that may have saved them.

I've been with AHS several years and it's been okay until I have this most recent experience. I had another experience with them too about two years ago and ironically, it was the same contractor. When I first dealt with this guy, he was under one name. And then, when they sent them out to me back in November, he was under another name. But it was the same folks and the same issues. So, they need to vet the contractors better. They need to be aware. It appears that when a contractor runs into problems with them all they do is lay off a few months then come back to them under a different name. Also, when a complaint is made AHS need to get back with the customer within 48 hours, and make sure that the issue has been resolved.

We had no hot water and apparently, the pipes had been put in wrong. I called American Home Shield, they sent the plumber out and the problem was fixed in just a few minutes. AHS reps were always nice, very polite and very helpful. They asked about the urgency of the problem whether it's something that we'd like to have taken care of immediately or if it can wait a couple of hours or a day or so. They were very in tune with that. The contractor, on the other hand, was very nice, very polite and very knowledgeable. They didn't try to sell things we don't need. They were excellent. Overall, AHS should keep doing what they're doing because it's obviously working and I'd definitely recommend them to a friend. As a matter of fact, I have recommended them to family members. AHS is something everyone should have. I've had them for a number of years now and they've always come through for me.

American Home Shield is definitely something you need to look into for sure because it can save you. You pay that certain price a year which isn’t that much when you think of it in the big picture. We actually had to get a new furnace too and instead of paying $2000 we only had to pay a thousand dollars. So that was convenient. I'll definitely recommend AHS. It’s definitely a huge plus.

But it was a huge fiasco because I took my garage refrigerator and flipped it with the one in the house that had an issue. He said he couldn't fix it because it was in the garage so, he left. After that, a third guy came out and he was the best. He got it all working, stayed late, checked it out, and did everything awesome. My washer broke. I called American Home Shield and asked them how would they do it and the rep told me everything I needed to do, and then I submitted the claim online. American Home Shield sent a repair guy out. The repair guy told me that it was something that needed to be done. It was a pretty expensive to fix. He was not very professional though. He took his hammer and banged on its component. My husband thought the guy broke it and they had to reorder one, and they did. They guy told me they shipped the wrong motherboard. I told American Home Shield that I didn’t want those people out anymore. So, they sent me another guy.

Within two weeks everything was taken care of. American Home Shield cashed me out because the machine was terminal and I’m happy that within two weeks I bought my own washing machine. They were going to provide me with one but it would take two weeks and I needed it right away. I have a small grandson and we didn’t want to go to the laundromat. They gave me an allowance of $629 so I could find a machine on my own.

I’ve had other things done too. My stove had a problem and they sent a repair guy out and they authorized the repair, and I paid my deductible. The same went with my refrigerator. The reps are good. This is my second year with American Home Shield and the only thing that I don’t like about them now is getting through is a little hard. You call and they answer but then you’re on hold. One time I was on hold for an hour and 45 minutes to speak to somebody. Some places will let you leave your phone number and they’ll call you back so you’re not on hold. I told them that and the rep said that they are working on that.

American Home Shield has been really good with me. I tried to get them for my son in Virginia because he rented out both of his homes. However, the realtor who's taking care of his homes said that American Home Shield is not good in Virginia. She’s had some run-ins with them. But I would recommend American Home Shield because every claim that I’ve filed with them was taken care of.

Overnight we found ourselves with the furnace disabled so basically beginning of January we were without heat in the house. I got on the phone with American Home Shield and they dispatched a gentleman out the following day. I've had mixed experiences with Home Shield in the past but this guy was above and beyond. He was really, really good.

We were within one week of renewing our yearly subscription to American Home Shield and kind of debating if that's something we want to do or not. I had a couple of gentlemen that came over and basically did nothing and then came back. And each time they charged me 75 bucks. And then suddenly they realized, "Oh, we need more parts." So this guy American Home Shield recently sent was unbelievable. He was really sharp and he took care of the problem right on the spot -- kind of the way you expect a professional to respond to you right when you need somebody like that. He replaced a part or two. He actually had them in his truck and you can't expect that.

This guy has everything that he needed. He told me that the problem was minor and in essence I should keep an eye on and make sure to change the air filters on monthly basis. He took about an hour and a half to finish. And I was blown away with his demeanor, quality of work and personality. He called me before he showed up and I had his number in my cellphone. And I wanted to text him back and thank him. I was really impressed. He was also very modest. I offered him water. He said, "No. I have water in my truck."

Also the representatives I spoke to over the phone were excellent. I never had a problem once. These people are impeccable. They know what they're doing. You have to give them the time because they do things by the book so that's understandable. They're always top-notch, very responsive and very polite. But then you don't always know who they're sending out. But American Home Shield is an excellent company.

When our refrigerator broke, we paid the $100 and they sent out a company. The company said they don't work on built-ins, so they left. They sent out another company. They don't work on built-ins too. They sent out another company and I had to keep paying a $100. Finally, they sent somebody that could fix it. So on the fifth try, they fixed it. It lasted two months and it broke again.

As I was making all the phone calls, I was waiting two hours to get on the telephone with them saying, "Hey listen, it's a built-in so just ask them before you send dispatch and waste my time. And waste the company’s time." Because they don't get paid to drive out if they don't work on it. I own a real estate brokerage so we recommend a lot of business to them. But after my experience, I'm really hesitant.

Now the refrigerator broke again and the second time, I reached the real estate department and the lady took care of me quickly. So, my experience the last time was better than the first time. I think they're aware of their issue of not having enough people to answer their phone. But it still diminished my experience. So now, they're sending me a renewal and I'm quite hesitant to renew it. I don't think we're going to renew with them. We're going to try a different company out.

If I ever had any other problems, I would ask for him because Sears takes weeks to get them to come out.

So far, every time I’ve had a claim, I’ve always been satisfied. We recommend AHS to all our friends and family. If you own your house, you better have it. Our experience with American Home Shield was good. We called them about two things. One was for electricity issues that we were having where an electrician they sent checked everything in the house. We have two air conditioning units and we thought it was a power surge when they came on, but it turned out it was not the air conditioning, although one of the air conditioners needed Freon. So, he went back and made a recommendation to American Home Shield to send out an AC guy, which AHS did. The AC guy then took care of everything very nicely, and he gave us the best price on the Freon.

In between that was two visits. We had a guy come out from KitchenAid because the oven was not heating properly or not staying heated properly. When opening the door, the temperature would drop very dramatically. It turned out that it was a thermostat issue. We also had some issues with the sealing on the doors, so he reset the door and fixed the sealing. A couple of days later, another guy came out with the temperature gauge that he needed to replace. And it took him three minutes and he was done. Everything is working beautifully. The oven is working the way it's supposed to.

There was a little mistake in their billing on the second round, but they got that all cleared up for us in a few minutes on the phone. They really have been fabulous as always and they always send very qualified people. They are very responsive to anything that we need. We've been with American Home Shield now for 10 years. The people they send to do the repairs are always well-trained and well-in-charged of what it is they're supposed to be doing. Lastly, if you call on Monday, you're going to be there for a while. But we typically call late Monday or Tuesday and the wait time is maybe 15 to 20 minutes at most. Most times, we've been even luckier than that. Most times, we call and get not even a 5-minute wait.

Our interactions with the contractor were fine. There were no complications and everything was explained to us. The work was done in accordance to what was needed to be done. The line had to be cut loose and then re-soldered. And then the faucet had to be mounted back to the sink after removal of the old one. It was done thoroughly and the faucet is working fine now. The only other problem I have with AHS is it takes a day or two to get someone to come out. Nonetheless, I've had no problems with any of the calls I've made. It's just that some of the things that I've called in have not been covered, which was understandable. It's time for me to renew and this will be my fourth year.

We had an electrical issue. The dryer cord melted. We called American Home Shield up and they assigned an electrical contractor and he was out within 24 hours. The contractor was very personable and very pleasant. He went ahead and looked at it, explained to me what was going on and what he was going to do to fix it. He had to leave and go get a part and came back but he was still done within an hour and a half. We dealt with another warranty company before them and they were by far have been the best. I just had my furnace fixed like 30 days ago and it broke again and they sent the guy out but there was no charge to have it looked at.

The water dispenser on my refrigerator's door was not working and then something was leaking. Also, the hot water on my washer was not coming out as it just dribbled out. I called American Home Shield to submit claims and the contractors came to check. They did a good job and I would recommend them for next time. I was very pleased and the repairs were perfect. The repairs really helped a lot because I was having to get water from the faucet, and I kept one for the refrigerator door and a few times they washed it. And I would have to take hot water and pour it in there and it was driving me crazy.

American Home Shield saves me from having to go on the phonebook or call somebody and track down a person that I know nothing about, and I don’t like that. Then I'd hope they can do the job and do it right. Having a warranty is valuable but the only time it’s discouraging is if they file before they get to the part or send the part. But at some point when I called American Home Shield to check when I was going to get the ordered parts, I didn't like the way the representative answered. Other than that, my interactions with the rep were good when I submitted the claims.

I’ve had the worst experience. On three different occasions the company double charged me before repairs are complete and marks them as complete. Meaning I have to pay both fees (with what has been false promise of reimbursement) to get them to come out and do the work. Instead of next day as stated they do not send anyone until days or weeks have passed. One time it was a month. The customer service reps hang up on you (twice). Both times it was because I had emergency service request and they won’t let me speak with a supervisor when they cannot help me. I’ve contacted them on Facebook and Twitter. I’ve paid up to 5 service fees for same exact repairs and still have a shower leaking full force hot water. I have to wait again 24-48 hours for a supervisor to return my call. Last time I was two weeks and 3 additional requests before I got that call and another time after that they never called back and I eventually gave up.

I’m ready to file a complaint on the BBB (they have 10,000 complaints already) but it looks like they do actually help you if you file a claim as the reviews are terrible and they have 10,000 complaints. And I know the score is a combination of reviews and complaints after corrections so if the score is okay with such terrible reviews it must mean that if you file a complaint with BBB they most likely help you and correct their issues. If you’re looking to buy coverage I would keep looking. If you have coverage through them I’d look elsewhere. This is so awful no one should have to put up with this. I will be contacting my Attorney General as well as filing a complaint with the BBB.

Had American Home Shield for a few months when my ice maker lever broke. I called AHS, paid my $100 dollar service fee and was told someone would be out to fix my fridge. They sent out D&D enterprises to work on the fridge. The guy arrived, nice and all but had no clue how to fix my fridge and that he needed to order parts. Well, he left and let me know parts would be in about two weeks. (Funny, because I knew the appliance shop a mile from my house had the part because I looked.) What the guy didn't tell me was that he had hooked up the circuit board incorrectly and had fried this $189 board. I give it the two weeks, call him and set up an appt for him to install the parts. He never shows and when I call him, he says he had the date written down wrong and that he would be there the next day. He never shows.

I call and text him and no reply. (Multiple times.) I call AHS and sit on hold for over an hour before finally getting them on the phone. I tell them the situation and they tell me "We will get a hold of D&D and send them back out." I tell them D&D is not acceptable and want someone else. "Sir, we will have to charge you another $100 dollars since this will be a second service call." I told them that's unacceptable, to cancel my contract and to refund me my $100 dollars. She says "I can't cancel it but will send the form to the Retention's Department for processing." She then goes on to say that "I have deleted your payment information from the system and you will no longer be charged." Three weeks go by; I get a bill in the mail and a letter that they are attempting to collect a debt. WTF? They never canceled my contract, just deleted my payment information and let the billing continue.

In that month alone, I spent well over 5 hours on hold awaiting an operator. I called the new contract line and immediately was helped by an operator. Of course she couldn't help me with my contract problems and that she would transfer me to the Retention Department (where I spent another 45 minutes on hold). Finally got it all canceled but they would refund my money nor would they be fixing my refrigerator. I ended up filing a BBB complaint and finally got the attention of one of their leads. They resolved the complaint, ensured my contract was canceled and will be replacing my refrigerator. I DO NOT WANT A SOCIAL MEDIA SPECIALIST (WHATEVER THAT IS) TO CONTACT ME. I just want the world to know AHS is a giant racket and will eventually screw you out of your time (on hold and missed service appt's) and money.

We bought our home in Sept 2016 with an AHS warranty. During the first year we called them out for three different issues -- one was for our heating unit, one was for our water heater, and the other was for our bathtub faucet handle not being able to be adjusted for water temp. For the heating unit, the tech basically made it sound like I didn't know how to run the unit and that I was accidentally turning on the emergency heat and that on cold days it just wouldn't heat like it would on warmer days. He did nothing else. Fast forward to now and the heating unit started causing electrical issues which we have had to have someone out to fix. With the water heater, our old one was leaking water in the pan and the top was all corroded. The first tech said that leaking water was normal and that was why there was a pan. He also explained that corrosion was something that happened with age.

He refused to do anything. It wasn't until I called back and insisted that a competent tech come out that we finally got a new water heater. We still had to pay for additional parts that were not covered, but guess what. Our new water heater doesn't leak water. As for our faucet handle in our bathtub -- well that is still not fixed. While still under warranty, AHS came out numerous times to "fix" it and said that everything was fine. I continued to complain to them that the water was scalding and couldn't be adjusted by my children but it fell on deaf ears. (Whatever happened to the phone calls being recorded?) I basically gave up and didn't bother to renew our warranty because of the poor service. When AHS called to ask why we were not renewing, I explained our ongoing issue with not being able to adjust the water temp from scalding and they didn't do anything.

Meanwhile, we have dealt with the water handle issue by adding cold water to baths. Finally we had someone out to fix it by changing out the handle and it turns out that the unit is stripped and so old that it should have been replaced the first time AHS came out. The job is bigger than originally thought because there are no parts for that model anymore -- and guess what -- looks like we are going to be stuck paying for something that should have been covered by AHS -- AGAIN. This is not right. Today I called them and reported the above and they hung up on me!!! This is the worst customer service imaginable. Taking shortcuts, cheap short solutions, and not even acknowledging me as a customer today is why I give AHS this rating.

There was a delay in communication. But once I communicated that to them they made a 180 and did well. But they sent out a contractor who did not have experience with the LG refrigerator and that caused a delay on the next contractor who did resolve the issue.

The first contractor was delayed about three weeks to get them out. And then the following one another two weeks to get him out. So the whole process shouldn't have taken almost two months. But the contractors were pleasant and were helpful. Essentially, it was a complete replacement of the refrigerator. The replacement took less than 10 days when they had it ordered out. The new refrigerator is working out great. But the whole process takes months, getting at least 3 hours on hold to get a hold of them for any reason.

When I submitted a claim with American Home Shield online for my dishwasher, the contracting company itself was good. However, the employee was a bad egg. He took a month and a half to get it done. They ordered a new circuit board for the dishwasher. It took a month for it to get here and the guy was supposed to deliver it. But then he stole the equipment and then the employer had to threaten him to have the police arrest him to get it back. He eventually brought it back and they terminated him. I've had really good experiences with AHS in the past, it was just this one bad apple employee that clouded the whole thing. The second guy that came out was awesome, professional and polite. He was able to get everything done and the company was very friendly as well.

I'm on chemotherapy, so I have to use separate plates. Since we didn't have a dishwasher, we have to spend a whole bunch of money on paper plates. The company that did the dishwasher was going to send me a check for 50 bucks to cover the paper products that I had to use, and I never received that. It would be cool if AHS could follow up on that. I also wish AHS can discount the $75 service call that we have to pay out for that month and a half inconvenience. But other than that, the experience with AHS was good and it's a good value. The contracted companies actually follow through with what they're supposed to do.

He asked me for my phone number and he would text me during the day about the issue, etc. I’m very, very pleased with him. There was a secondary visit because they had to order the replacement part but it’s working fine now. I’m very pleased with AHS service, it works out very well for us. It’s nice to have the peace of mind that if something does happen to a major appliance, I have insurance on that piece of equipment. Secondly, the monthly payment allows me to cash flow the cost of the repairs as opposed to having to come up with the money all at one time. It’s all predictable and risk-free.

I had a little problem with that late billing but I did go through and verify from my credit card receipts from August that AHS had not charged me yet, so we were able to work it out. The contractors have been very good so far and repairs were made very quickly. The problem is that takes an hour or more to get a hold of an AHS representative when calling. AHS sent a guy who replaced the washer in my faucet but it continued to leak. It wasn’t coming like it was dripping from the faucet piece, it was coming from another part. I called them back and he came back and he replaced the cartridge. As he was doing so he told me that wasn't going to work and that I was going to need a new faucet. I wanted the brushed chrome and he said okay. I was sent a picture of the faucet and it was ordered. When it came to be put in, there was a pretty small gap between the sink and the plate at the bottom of the faucet. That was not right and the guy said he could fill it with caulking but it still was not right.

When the guy left, I looked under the sink and I could see light so I called up the plumbing people and told them they needed to come back and take out the faucet. They said it was all AHS would cover and they wouldn't cover anything else. I found that hard to believe because they never measured and the plate should have covered the hole. So I told them to come get the faucet, put back on my old one and I would deal with it myself. I went to Home Depot, measured, found a faucet that fit and I paid a handyman to put it in. I then called Home Shield. I wanted to cancel my policy but then they wouldn’t credit me my $75 if I canceled so I didn't cancel. They credited me my $75 that they automatically took out of my checking account.

Also, I was on the phone with AHS on three different occasions over this whole thing and each time, I was on hold for at least 45 minutes. They could work on that. I understand they are in the hurricane section and all that was going on, but that was still annoying. And if what the plumber said was true that AHS would not replace the right part, then that’s their bad. But if the plumber was lying, then that’s their bad. I don’t know which is the right story but if it’s American Home Shield, then they’re not worth having because I paid $75 for something that wasn’t right. Plus, it was a bit annoying sitting at home waiting for the guys to come on three different occasions.

AHS could also improve on sending decent plumbers that knew what they were doing. They also shouldn't take the $75 out of someone’s account until the job is completed, satisfactorily. Somehow, they can check that out so that I don’t look at my checking account and $75 is gone and the work was not done correctly. I’ve had AHS for years since I’ve been in my home and thought I would just keep them in case my air conditioning or heating breaks down. But at this point, I’m about ready to just say “Screw it” because of all the money I spent over the years that I could have saved up instead and use to buy something if it breaks down. I haven’t gotten around to canceling, but it’s probably what I’m going to do. I'd tell others not to do AHS too.

I called American Home Shield to submit a claim but after waiting for 15 minutes, I got online and went right to it. Navigating through the website was very easy and submitting the claim there was a lot easier than staying on the telephone. The claim was for my clothes washer that would not spin and I got a service person who was wonderful and very professional. He knew exactly what he was doing, let me clean underneath the washer while he was fixing, and fixed it very quickly. So, I've only used our home warranty a couple of times in the last couple of months and having it is quite valuable.

American Home Shield sent somebody all the way from Georgia to come out here to service my AC unit when I could have gotten a local contractor to come out for the same amount of money that I paid. The contractor was professional and the AC has been fine ever since the repair, but I was surprised that I had to pay $75, which I thought was extremely high to have coverage. So, we weren't happy about that at all. We're gonna go with somebody else, where we don't have to pay such a high fee on our end.

I didn’t have heat for two days, so I had to have a pallet put in my furnace. I called American Home Shield and told them what was going on, and they told me that I will receive a call, which I did. They also told me when the people would be able come out here. Two wonderful gentlemen came within the time allotted, and both of them were very nice. They were really friendly, and they fixed the problem in no time. They were in and out of here in less than 15 minutes, and everything was working when they left.

We had a claim about a back-up in our toilet and it was easy to file online. American Home Shield set us up with a plumbing company and it had been resolved within the day, which was fantastic. That was the fastest that we have ever had somebody come out here. All the technicians have been fantastic too. They've all been very friendly and kind, as well as professional. I've liked all of them very much. They've gotten the work done and so far, it has been great. We haven't had any problems with things after they left. Having a home warranty is worth it because even if you have two things go wrong, you pay for the warranty for the year.

I had a problem with the water heater so I called American Home Shield. The only problem was that I waited an hour and 25 minutes before I got a real person. However, the rep whom I spoke with was a phenomenal lady and she apologized for the wait. She really helped me and she went all out to make sure that I was going to be taken care of. I was surprised when I heard text messages coming in and how soon they responded. Also, I was surprised that the whole staff responded and took care of me so I would recommend them in a flash.

I spoke to the rep on a Friday and the plumber was at the house at about 9:00 o'clock Saturday morning and he took care of the problem. The contractor was awesome. He broke it down to my level and explained what was happening and made suggestions as to what we should do in the event that something happens again. Also, he wouldn't be hesitant to come up if he needs to when something goes wrong within 48 hours. A couple of days later, the water was not as warm as it should be but my folks at home said that the plumber eventually came after a couple of minutes. However, the water is still not coming up as hot as it should be in the bath of the master bedroom. At the basement it's okay but in the bath, it's a struggle. But outside of that, the contractor has been a good man. I want American Home Shield to continue what they're doing and put their best foot forward and also to improve especially with somebody answering.

When I request something, they call me and they send me somebody right away. Last time, I asked for a plumber for a leaking problem. Their rep took all my information and the contractor that was sent out replaced my faucet with a brand new one. American Home Shield did a good job. They were very professional, very fast and they didn't take long to show up.

When our garbage disposal went out, I filed a claim with American Home Shield and the wait time to get through was three to five minutes, which was reasonable, and the reps that I spoke with were 100% professional. We prepaid the contractor that AHS had dispatched to us and, in that way, our deductible was paid. The gentleman called us two days before Christmas and he said that the part was in and he would be out to put it in. Then he called back after Christmas and said he was having a problem getting the part in, and that was the last we heard of him. But he had turned in the work ticket to AHS, stating that the job had been completed. If I owned AHS, I would have him taken off of dispatch calls and I would not even use him. He's got a bad reputation in the Greenville area where we are. AHS dispatched another contractor and the techs were out within a day and fixed the problem.

We've also had another contractor come out due to a problem we had with our AC. The technicians refused to put more Freon into the AC because they thought that it possibly had a leak. But if the AC had a leak, they should have done a pressure test, found out where it was leaking, and fixed the problem, but they still have not done these. This year, our claim for the AC is going to go from simply fixing a leaky line to replacing the whole unit with a 14A unit, and this is going to be way more expensive. If the head pressure runs too low, we've got to turn on the heat pump and this could overheat the system, and then the whole unit would be gone and can't be fixed.

In another claim that we had, AHS replaced the motor of our washing machine and they wanted to replace the tub too. But the total repair cost would by then have been more than the cost of a whole washing machine, so we didn't let them do that. Instead, we did a buyout and bought a new washing machine to replace the old one, and this was cheaper to do. We've been with AHS for over 15 years. AHS is a company that has a bunch of contractors working for them and I would tell a friend to research all the contractors that AHS uses, compare AHS with other companies, check the ratings, and see which companies have the best contractors working for them.

I recently filed a heater claim to American Home Shield. The company that came here did an excellent job. We had a claim two years ago and the guy came over a period of three months. He was incompetent. He had taken over his dad's business. He basically rebuilt the unit trying to figure out what was wrong with it. It worked for a while and then, this year, when we turned it on again, it didn't work and it was doing what it did before. So, this new company, the one last that came, they came in, looked inside for five minutes, went outside and found a wire that had broken and that was what was wrong with it. It probably was all along. It took him 15 minutes or so and he was done. It works perfectly now, so I was very happy with them.

We also had an oven claim, and we had a claim on a disposal. They had to be replaced and both of those were exceptionally well done. They have good contractors and bad ones, but I know they are trying to weed that out. The first guy that came in basically never came back. I called and complained, and they replaced him with a new contractor who did the job. He was great. So that was a good guy. And then, the people that came for the disposal came a day late but did the job very well. But I had to get on them about getting here. You have to stay on them about getting someone here when they are supposed to be here. That is frustrating. The value is there as an insurance thing, but the operations are inadequate.

I had a claim in January for the pressure valve of my water meter which was leaking. I did it online and the experience was good. However, it doesn't provide you with anything if you have questions regarding whether your claim is valid or not so I called in to confirm. The contractor then came to the house, did the work and left. I, however, didn't get any kind of invoice receipt. I'd like to have the company information of the person who performed the work because if I don’t have American Home Shield in the future, I'm stuck not knowing who did the work.

I had intentions of renewing my contract but when their rep called, I was in the middle of a Snowball Dance prep, I had community meetings, and my basement flooded. I told him that it was not a good time. He insisted but I told him I've got to go and hung up. But 20 seconds later he called me back and once again tried to push this renewing the home warranty. In the first call, he gave me a price which it was lower than the price that I had. I was looking at the premium coverage and it was a $100 off but the renew price and the price that he had given me was lower than that price without it. I then I tried calling back in three times. My experience with AHS has been dreadful. Everything was fine for a bit but the communication was just bad.

My partner and I have had several homes with AHS as the warranty provider. In California it seemed they were responsive, timely and things were actually repaired correctly. Then we moved to Texas, it’s all been downhill from that point. From Pool Heaters that have been replaced 3 times, to dishwasher band aid projects to ultimately just calling it quits with them and replacing the dishwasher ourselves. My partner and I flip homes so in the future there will be no AHS warranty provided, we are exploring other companies to work with, but we will post on every site how poor the service from AHS has been.

It’s unfortunate, it appears prior to being purchased by Service Masters Corp. it was a good company. I understand they are to try and be spun off as a free standing company again third Qtr. 2018. I have made sure that all of those I deal with have ceased to use any Service Master related provider. Hit them in the wallet is what I say, and they will bow down every time. Unfortunate that such a previously good company has created such bad feelings with consumers nationwide.

However, I had one type of furnace in there and I didn’t realize that they don’t ask you what brand name you want. I had a Bryant and I ended up getting a Payne, which I see their point business-wise. It's probably cheaper but comparable, but whether it's a furnace or another appliance, they should tell the people ahead of time. In some instances, they should at least give the consumer the option to upgrade.

Overall I was pleased for the simple fact that I've maintained my furnace as far as buying the option of having Scott's Mechanical come out twice a year and check the furnace and air conditioning. This is the company that, for the most part, American Home Shield always seems to call back, which is good because the tech was familiar with my furnace. I've called American Home Shield a couple of times to submit claims but now, I just go to their website because I don't have an hour to wait on the phone. Recently, I had a claim for a heating issue. American Home Shield sent out one person whose entire intent was to sell me a whole new AC system, not to fix what was actually wrong. Then another representative came out from the exact company and who got it fixed. They installed a mechanical part but didn't wire it correctly, which led to a heating issue. They re-wired it and then I had heat. I was also having issues with my water heater and the contractor remedied everything all in one visit.

They had also stated that there was a problem with the ducting from my heating and cooling. And so, I told American Home Shield, but I didn't want this company to come back. AHS diagnosed it and for something that wasn't an approved repair between American Home Shield and the original vendor now had to be re-evaluated which didn't sit too well with me. If they were going to issue a repair order based on somebody's diagnosis whether or not it's that company or a different company that they would have a contract to do business with, it should be honored.

So now, only two out of the three claims were taken care of and I have to go back through the whole process for the pending duct issue. I've to call and schedule with their trades to take a look at them. But unfortunately, they don't schedule after business hours or on a Saturday. So, I have to dedicate some of my personal time so that they could get out here and fix them. But for the air conditioning thing which led to the heating claim, they would reimburse me for that because it was an issue that was caused by the AC claim that they didn't hooked up correctly. Generally, AHS isn't a top-notched home warranty company but they would do within the means in their contract to get whatever I needed fixed.

I’ve had American Home Shield for several years and I recall calling the 800 number and getting a representative right away. It used to be really good to put in a claim with them but right now, it's a pain to do it. My husband was on the line for two hours and then he had to end up going online but they got the order confused. Their system is not really good for putting in a claim right now so you still end up having to call. However, their reps are professional, very nice and they try to get the job done. Also, the techs who came in for my heating did what they were supposed to do. They had the equipment running but I had the same problem again so they had to come back out a second time.

My problem has been with some of the people they sent out, especially some of the AC people. I found that a company they used, come in and tell you what you don’t need just to get an up-sale because they know what AHS is or not going to pay for. I had someone tell me that I needed a whole new heating system even though I didn't. But, as soon as I explained to them that they had to send someone else out to do a second estimate for me to determine that I really didn't need the heating system, they took it off. AHS would not approve anyone else coming back out to assist me with my heating system because I had just gotten one. AHS should be really careful with who they bring onboard because people today have a way of scamming you.

Still, AHS has a good contractor and I ask all the time for them to come out. My husband and I have a good rapport with them and they have people with integrity. They don’t tell you things that are bad so I’m okay with that. I’ve had some good experiences with AHS but their cost continues to go up. Also, I’m paying $65 a month to be on hold for two hours and I can’t necessarily trust the technicians that they sent out.

It was inconvenient that we were without a microwave for more than a month. That was not a very pleasant experience because the part came and then dealing with the mechanic took quite a while. The problem is that American Home Shield orders the component themselves, and that takes time. It should not take a month or a couple of weeks. Previously, contractors used to get the part, so AHS made the process more complex. Other than that, it’s been a good experience with American Home Shield. We normally call the contractor or they call us for when they can come out, but lately it has been a slow process. They gave us a one-week timeframe and then they came one week after, so it's a little bit more time-consuming.

The guys were going to deliver it but they said there was a corroded pipe that they can't remove. So we sent out a plumber but he said it was not corroded. He disconnected it but he told me he's not allowed to install so rather than calling yet again, I just installed the new one myself.

I was also billed an additional service fee which I had to fight. Plus I had to call back multiple times because I wasn’t getting information about replacement. I had to call four different times and each time I called, I was on hold anywhere between one and two hours. So all in all, it's a full day’s work that I was getting on hold. It could be rectified by hiring more people. Their customer had no working dishwasher. I thought they would reach out but that never happened. In addition to that, the website is not very informative in terms of when things are closed. Back in November, it indicated that the dishwasher incident had been closed but I didn't have a dishwasher until January.

Now, what they’re doing is they’re actually paying the $75. So, I pay them. That’s when I call them I'm going to give them the $75. Then they’ll pay the contractors.

Also, we would prefer to have other types of appliances and the one that they give for free are all GE. They're not going to replace Electrolux with an Electrolux. They would replace them all with GE. The brands in this house are very old and they're not replacing the same model with the same model type but they should do more different name brands. But the people on the phone were really nice except for that $75. The contractors are very nice too. I had an issue with my plumbing. It was working properly right when the contractor left, and then within a couple of hours, it stopped and started working awkward again. I had to get him back out here and they got it fixed. He left with the thermostat and wanted me to wait for a couple of days. It was too cold here. Finally he came back out and this time he said it was probably better if we change the motor. He changed the motor with a more powerful motor and then the furnace started blowing out heat the way it used to come out. It's matching what the new thermostat says it's supposed to be which there was nothing wrong with the old one. I like the new thermostat but it got put in for no reason.

After the guy fixed the furnace, my clients stepped out and said they smelled gas outside the house. I first called the gas company and was told to call the fire department. The fire department found out the gas was coming from the pipe that's coming out the side of my house from my furnace. I called American Home Shield to look at the furnace and see if they could change anything so that it's not kicking out so much carbon monoxide. The tech said it's going to kick out anyway and what they needed to do is turn the pipe out away from the house and put on a funnel to kick it out and it'll go up to the sky. I knew he wasn't going to come back. I had to call and they said they were sending a trained guy with an apprentice. This was two weeks ago now.

The contractors weren't top quality. I guess it's because they're contracting with AHS. The plumber was rude and disrespectful at my house. It was unbelievable. The guy who came out for the washing machine and dryer said they don't move washing machines so I had to roll it, which it has wheels, with my two fingers. I don't know if the mentality is to hurry up and get out the least amount of work so they can go and get paid.

The other problem that I have with AHS is that first time I called, I was on hold for an hour and ten minutes waiting for somebody to pick up. The second time it was 40 something minutes and the third time I was told wait time was about 30 minutes. The fastest that someone picked up the phone was 10 minutes and it was just one time. It has been an average of 40 minutes. They are terrible in that department. But I have no problems with AHS' representatives on the phone. They're great and on top of everything. If I'm not satisfied with a tech, they'll get another. They aren't rude nor short with me. AHS is better compared to the two other warranty companies I had.

I had a stoppage in the bathroom that required the services of the plumber. I tried to call AHS and there was an hour wait. The first person that they sent out came seven days later. I called on a Wednesday and it was going to be the next Wednesday before someone could come out. When called back in, I waited for somebody to answer the phone, and then there was an issue where they did not have a listing of all available plumbers in my zip code. That required a lot of research. They had to call me back and when they set me up with someone, it was someone who did not service my area. Nevertheless, they came out the following day and the person that serviced me was very professional, nice and informative.

But I was a little disappointed when the company said that they had to put in an access point and AHS would not cover that. They were trying to get through to AHS to indicate to them that they couldn't solve my problem without creating a new access point. And when he was in the middle of telling me that, AHS finally came on. He went outside to have his conversation with them. Then when he came back in, I asked him to go ahead and complete his estimation and give me as to what was going to transpire.

It was a situation where I had to get that taken care of and had to check my credit cards to make sure that I have enough money on my card to get everything taken care of. I've never had a problem like that before. We've had some back-ups and so forth but it never involved sitting in an access point. I ended up paying $450 out of pocket and I felt like that I was taken advantage of. I checked around after and for this access point to be installed and with the weather situation, I was gouged a bit in the pricing. The price was excessive compared to the things that I've checked around with now. It cost quite a lot of money and it wasn't a fair price. All they did was cut a PVC pipe, put a different fitting on it, put a piece of 2 X 4 underneath to secure it and the job was done in less than an hour.

I haven't had to use AHS's service in years but I've still maintained the coverage. It was just an exceptional set of circumstances to where AHS was maybe overloaded with calls and didn’t really have enough service. The registry wasn’t correct or they didn’t have enough service people in the area to cover the situation. But that was an exceptional incident. Normally, they aren't inundated like that but I know the weather was bad in a lot of areas across the country at that time. Looking at that time, they did what they could with the situation at hand.

A month ago, my ice maker wasn't making ice. The technicians that AHS sent out came and it took over two weeks for the part to come in. They put in the part and it took me another week and a half to get somebody out here. When I consulted somebody, there was a part of the icemaker that might be part of the problem. I told all three technicians that it could be that part, but none of them checked that part. They did a thorough job testing the equipment before making a judgment call. They were all from the same company. One had to come out and diagnose the problem. Then one came with the part, which didn’t fix the problem. Then one had to come out because the problem wasn’t fixed.

But other than that, the other things were fixed in a timely manner and AHS responded to the call very quickly. However, because of the people they contract with to come out, we’re at the bottom of the pecking order. Only once was there somebody that was able to come within three or four days. Generally, it takes a week or longer before a technician can come out to fix an issue. When my air conditioning unit went out, it took the technicians to come and I understood that since it was summertime. Luckily, I had one area that did have an air conditioner. So I didn’t complain to make them do something more ‘since I was sure there were people that had none. I would recommend AHS to my friends. But they have to weigh that it’s not an inexpensive process.

American Home Shield sent a company out that unstopped my garbage disposal drain in my kitchen and it’s working fine now. I’ve never seen a service person come in and put cover over their shoes or anybody more courteous, professional and careful as they were. They were concerned and I was very pleased with the service that they gave. And if I ever have any more plumbing problems, I wish that AHS would always refer my services to those people because they were truly tremendous. I’m 100% with American Home Shield too. I normally submit claims over the phone and they're very courteous. I have never had an unpleasant experience as long as I’ve had them and I would recommend them very highly to anybody who is getting home warranty on their homes.

The first time I used AHS was for a dishwasher and the reps couldn’t find a plumber so I had to find my own plumber. I actually installed it myself and it took a couple of months to get the credit of $125. Recently I filed a claim with American Home Shield online for the sump pump that wasn’t running. I had a very good experience with navigating their site. They came out this morning to look at it but he had to call in the information to home warranty before he could do any work. The contractor said that there is a part of the sump pump process that has to be replaced which AHS is not going to cover. I've got to pay $30 for it and I wasn’t happy about that.

I asked them to have somebody call me because the check valve is an integral part of the sump pump process and it has to be repaired. Also I wanted to talk to somebody because it that was the case the policy's flawed and they need to change it. The contractor said it is a modification but it is not. If the pump doesn’t have the check valve it’s going run 24/7 because it can never pump all the way out. There's always going to be water standing in that pipe and that's what the check valve is. I said I'd pay it but the lady was kind of rude. I felt that she was kind of put off then I talked to somebody else. When asked about AHS I’d say that people should be patient because it might take a while for them to get through customer service. But still my experience with American Home Shield was excellent.

I filed a claim with AHS for a dryer repair. I called and told the rep what the problem was. They then assigned a contractor from a vending company. I was told that the vendor would contact me within 24 hours and take care of the repair. However, the company AHS sent was completely incompetent. The guy came in and said he fixed the dryer, but within a week, it was making the noise again. I contacted him and he said that he knew what the problem was. He only replaced one of the two moving parts and he had to get another part. However, he didn't follow up, call me, or show up. He said he didn't have the part. Eventually, I tried calling American Home Shield and had to wait on hold for more than an hour to speak to somebody. I found that the best way to complain is to go to their Facebook page and write something mean, then they'll call you.

The first time they called, they said, "We'll reach out to them and take care of it." But, nobody ever followed up with me. The next time, I wrote something mean on their Facebook page. They called me again and the guy took care of it. He let me change to another company, which came right out and fixed the dryer. It was five months of having this terrible noise in my dryer and the first guy kept telling me he was trying to get the part. The guy who ultimately fixed my dryer said that he didn't even put any new parts in there. It was just crooked. Moreover, he was done within an hour. In the end, AHS returned my deductible and waived my deductible on the new service call.

AHS isn't shady, but they're trying to find the cheapest contractors they can find. I looked at the Better Business Bureau and the first contractor they sent had a poor rating. Every review of them was terrible with the same problems. I have had AHS for a number of years and this was the first time I've had such a difficult experience. Having them can be beneficial if one needs that peace of mind. Otherwise, put the payment in the bank and pay for it yourself if something happens.

The technician came after three days and he was knowledgeable and he fixed it. The company from where he came was very professional. They followed up all through even before he came in. After he went back, they followed through thrice. They were very professional and also, they did the entire job very nice. The pool pump is fairly stable now and the problem is gone. I've been a customer of American Home Shield for the last five years now, and I've nothing but positive experience for the most part. Having a home warranty has been very valuable especially for big repairs. It has been really helpful.

When AHS completes a project, they do a good job from claim initiation all the way to follow through on this and that. So, even though I've had some bad experiences with them, I've had equally good experiences as well. But these little bad experiences made me look at the commercials of the other warranty companies out there. I didn’t even know there were other warranty companies, but I've written down that information now so when it's time to renew again, I can compare and see if they have a better service.

I had several electric problems recently. One for an oven replacement, one for the replacement of a fan in the bathroom, and one for an issue with the air conditioning unit. I called AHS to file my claims and I had to wait on hold. Most of my stuff are really complicated, so, going through their automated system doesn’t usually work for me. Most of the time, there's a second callback or I had the problem last year and it's reoccurring again. I also have to call them when I have a two-part claim.

The last time I called, I waited on hold for four and a half hours to get a person, just to initiate the claim. That was ridiculous and extremely frustrating. So, I had to schedule my whole day around trying to get a repair done on my home. Then, I had to call back and speak to purchasing a couple of times. The first time, I waited on hold for about three hours. When they got to me and they picked up my call, I was disconnected. So, I had to call again, get back in the line, and wait another hour and a half. But when I get their reps on the phone, my interactions with them were mostly pretty good. Their people were very helpful and wanted to do what they could to help me.

One time, I had an exterior electrical plug outlet that was hanging out of the wall because the box that held it was rusted. It was an old box, not a GFCI. I made a claim on it and the repairman reported to AHS that we needed to bring this box up to GFCI because it was not up the code. So one person called me to tell me that it wasn’t covered because they don’t cover anything being brought up to code. I didn't care if it was brought up to code or not and I knew that they had to follow those rules, but I was being refused a repair that was endangering my property, and in effect my life, by leaving an electric outlet with wires exposed hanging out of the wall.

I tried to explain that to the gentleman who called me but he got more and more frustrated with me. So I asked to talk to his supervisor. At first he didn't want me to talk to a supervisor. Then, when he put another person on the phone, it probably wasn't even the supervisor. Other than that issue, everything else has been resolved.

The electrician that came out was wonderful, really educational, and respectable. He was warm and my wife and five-month-old baby were comfortable. He deserves a raise and I appreciate him.

AHS is the wiser decision if you want to be a homeowner for you to be able to sleep at night, knowing that you have them to call for back up with dealing with emergencies on your property. And they train the men or women that come out to help service to a point where I feel comfortable as if they are my family. I recommend AHS.

I called at night and first thing in the morning, the contractor came. He was very prompt, kind and efficient. That was a good experience with American Home Shield. I’ve had bad experiences with them as well, like when they had somebody come and fix my dishwasher. The contractor said he fixed it, but then he chipped some of the molding around the side of my countertop. They also didn't have the right part with them the first time. They didn’t even have a bucket to catch leaking water, and I supplied all of the towels. It was a horrible experience and I never heard back from them about compensation for the busted countertop.

Additionally, you’re always on hold for over a half hour when you try to talk to somebody at American Home Shield. While everything is automated, you never get to the right people. It’s very annoying when you have a problem and you want to talk to somebody. Overall, there were some very good people that came out and there were some very poor people that came out as well. They just took my payment on 2/11. I called today, 2/13 to cancel. After run around and snide remarks from “customer service” who claimed they were filling out forms needed for cancellation. It’s a scheme to make money off of homeowners that are trying to save their hard earned money. Please do not waste your time or money as I have.
