My mom purchased a brand new home in July 2018. After waiting 5 months to get it no walkthrough given went in to find the cabinets, carpet and wall color all wrong not to mention all the many other details wrong as well. Mid December mom tries to move in and heater does not work. Here we are over 3 weeks in and still no heat. We have paid out of pocket still waiting for reimbursement. Have left many calls with Kevin (manager) no response. Horrible customer service and even worse trying to get everything fixed. Having to take legal action. What started out as an exciting time has turned into a nightmare.

Bought this place last year, have placed many calls to the local office, in Pa. They did send someone out, but he did not fix everything, keep calling with no success. Bad enough there is no craftsmanship in this house, but to deal with lack of customer service to fix this crap is annoying. How do they stay in business.

I'm just renting a manufactured home made by my Skyline. Thank God. We were given a quick warning before signing the lease that formaldehyde was in the glue used to build it, but of course they played it down. Said it would only last for around 6 months, only be a problem on hot days, and to just open a window if there were any symptoms. It's been over a year, and it's a problem all year round. I can't really open the windows in the winter when the heat is on. I'm going to court about this because I can't deal with the symptoms.

We bought our Layton in 2014. The worse mistake of our life. We are surprise we have not burn up in our sleep. Not kidding. Water ran in thru the vent on top by AC that was not put in right nor was it sealed. Outside plug burned up. Not a joke. Had to replace the outside plug pictures to prove. Bathroom shower not sealed & now there is water & MOLD grown behind the so call shower walls. The outside plug that you plug into the circuit box was wired backwards which caused the outside plug to burn up & the hot water heater.

I bought a 14 by 48 Skyline home. I've had it a year and my floors are warping. They've got like waves in it and it's only half of the trailer. Everybody I talk to can't come up with a reason why? I tore up the linoleum in the kitchen. There is no leaks anywhere. I went under the trailer and tore some of the plastic with the insulation under the trailer. There is nothing.

Moved in April 2018. Mirrors and light fixtures in bathrooms are not level, fireplace hearth is cracked, drywall is not even close to level in laundry room along with trim missing on cabinets. Worst issue is 8k quarts kitchen counter installed on shims on top of cabinets with over 1/4 gaps filled with silicone. The cabinets should have shims in the floor and the counter set on a solid base. The cabinets are so far off they are pulling apart. The is complete garbage workmanship. Have sent numerous emails with photos and have received no response. Left several voicemails for the service manager Danny with no return calls. Do not buy from them because their customer service is non-existing. They did send a crew out in the first month to fix a vent and one mirror but did not address any other issues. Appears that you get a warranty but the delay until it expires.

I purchased a Skyline home that was already installed in mobile home park later found out been here installed a year ago. Place is unstable, walls cracked, doors not even straight I can see outside. Cabinets falling apart. Windows not shutting correctly. Kitchen cabinets falling apart as well as leaking already in wall. The plumbing not working and I don’t have my title! I paid cash. I want a refund. I will gladly move! Horrible. They're worse than a FEMA trailer. It also has formaldehyde. Need help. They don’t do anything. Been months of not able to breathe and my dogs sick too. Buyers beware buy a home!

A lot of things wrong with new home everything from a cracked window to not receiving the 32 inch TV as promised. Had to fix furnace myself. A/C are not working keeping blowing reset out walls damage. Had 1 guy out to throw a bunch of texture on ceiling that a 5 year old could of done better. Still waiting for a/c repairs in these hot days.

We have had issues with walls, ceilings cracking since the day we moved into our new home! 7 years later the same cracks come back in the ceiling that they say they fix every year! Now what looks to be a leak in a bathroom! No roof, shingle damage at all! So wondering if they will take care of this problem? Probably too old! We owned a Redman home and it was a year old when purchased! Never, ever had one single issue with it! What I wouldn't give to have it back! This is sad to spend the money you do on here homes and they are so cheap and unprofessionally built. We also had the gaps in all sinks where mice could get in! Who would ever build something like that. Had to fix that with steel wool! I would advise anyone looking. They are beautiful homes but cheaply built!

I purchased a 29’ 2012 Nomad Joey Select trailer from Woody's RV in Sherwood Park Alberta. You can see daylight in many areas around the wheel well and bathroom sink so mice are an endless issue. Rain is constantly penetrating and because it’s made of particle board, it disintegrated anywhere or anytime water would get through.

Had our 2017 mobile home built and have been living here for two years now. It has been an absolute NIGHTMARE!! The place is just falling apart around us. Almost every piece of stripping has come loose or has fallen off the walls altogether. We've got water dripping out from under our light switch plates on both the front wall and the back, window sills have separated from the window frames, our sink has been "fixed" four times and is still leaking, front (living room) wall and back (living room) wall are wet in various places, with the carpet getting wet just underneath, every time it rains. There is black mold growing along the carpet where it meets the front living room wall, the carpet has separated from the metal stripping, even after being repaired three times.

2 1/2 years into our Skyline home and we wonder what's going to go wrong next. Quality control was horrible; promises to fix items never fulfilled; workmanship sub par. Buyer beware, you DO NOT get what is promised when touring a showroom. Our experience was so frustrating, we demanded to talk to someone in Corporate to get proper resolution, but that never happened. Buyer remorse for sure. Pic 1 is cupboard face that was supposed to be replace and wasn't. Pic 2 is newly discovered water damage in window ledge. Pic 3 is what is happening to the fronts of the kitchen cupboards. This is just a SMALL sample of the many things that have happened and continue to happen. Again, BUYER BEWARE.

After 7 years our ceilings crack as soon as cold weather sets in. Walls also crack. This has been an ongoing problem since the day we moved into our home. They have no answer why this is happening. Very frustrating. They come every winter to fix. Only til next winter the same thing over and over as soon as the weather gets cold. Think I have a beautiful home but wow the cheapness of just about everything in it is very depressing!

We are first time owners of a mobile home 60ft by 14ft. Very nice looking home. After purchasing and doing a more detailed inspection of our new home we found it to be very dusty so I started looking in various areas like into ducks under sinks where registers were located for heat distribution. All areas for this were very dirty with much sawdust where holes cut for ducking also much more debris around the furnace which was not easy to get at to clean. Carpeting throughout I could feel leftover scraps of I don't know what it was under the carpet probably saw dust and other construction debris.

Purchase of a new 16 wide from Skyline in McMinnville, OR - I am a sales person that until a month ago sold Skyline Homes. Unfortunately I also purchased one. The biggest mistake of my life. I've been in the modular home industry for 49 years so I know a little about the homes. Skyline Homes is the worst home I've ever owned. I used to think Fleetwood was bad but they're class A compared to these guys. Their office in McMinnville won't acknowledge the issues or even call me back. We have pictures to back up the awful workmanship in this home with illegal wiring, illegal plumbing, upgrade (so-called) cabinets falling apart. There is not one properly hung receptacle in the whole house and on and on. This is without a doubt the worst factory I've ever had the misfortune to deal with and anyone thinking of dealing with them should run away as fast as they can.

We bought a 2008 mobile home In 2016. We are now living in this mobile home in the year 2017. We found the floor under the master bathroom soft due to a water leak behind the wall. We called Skyline. They came out and repaired our home. Mind you this home was many years out of warranty. We found skyline representative to the be of the upmost and professional and courteous people. We are super seniors and they gave us no fuss and repaired our home at no charge. We would purchase without a doubt another Skyline home.

Our new Skyline home was delivered to our lot in April 2016 but was not ready for occupancy until June. So far, since we have lived here, we have had doors replaced, crooked cabinet shelves straightened, noisy exhaust fans replaced, drawers adjusted, cracks galore mended. The front door was installed 2 inches crooked from top to bottom. The remedy was to remove the trim and adjust how it hung to disguise the flaw. The entire ceiling has waves in it, due, we were told by the repair guy, to an experiment with thinner Sheetrock that had been discontinued (due to there being waves in the ceiling). None of our windows opened easily, repair guy had to remove them and take mechanism apart to correct flaws. The home was missing a water hydrant on the back outside that we paid extra for. It has never been installed. Each time we submitted a repair order it was at least 6 weeks before anyone came out.

We bought our 2017 Skyline brand new in North Carolina. The quality and workmanship is extremely poor, especially for the price. We have lived in our for 3 months now (April, May & June) and carpet is matted, trim falling off, knobs stripped, floor creaking, doors don't shut properly, drawers installed crooked, cable line split, a/c motors dead, appliances broke, etc. We had a list of almost 200 things and we are still waiting on them. We have given up on them and will either live with it or fix it ourselves. Don't waste your money on this company. You are better off building your own "tiny home".

We bought a Skyline ranch home and are very angry about it. Workmanship is so bad we could not move in for 4 month after delivery. Windows caulked shut, loose siding, shower installed wrong, wrong color roof. Had to pay 2000 dollar extra to get right roof on, we already had paid for the house in full. Ordered all gas. Got all electric. No keys for doors, to get them took an act of god. Fireplace unsafe. Still not fixed. They been coming in the house trying to repair it all. Still now in the 5th month not done. Customer service does not exist!!! Still so many things wrong with it but we had to move in due to having to sell our home in Texas. Were to come out today to repair things. Nobody called. Nobody showed up. DO not buy a home from Skyline is all we can say. It is a total disaster.

I purchased a Skyline Manufactured Home back in 2013 from Harper Homes in Rochester NY. After almost 3 years of living in it I notice that the ceilings are cracking. The carpet is started to separate from the metal stripes that are placed on the ends of the carpet. Also there is a window that won't stay closed. The home that I purchased wasn't cheap. But the quality of this home is poorly made. So I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone that is looking for a manufactured home.

We are a very large senior mobile home park in Hemet, Ca. As a small dealer, we have enjoyed doing business with Skyline for many years, purchasing dozens of new Manufactured Homes for all three of our local parks. Upon delivery of the newest home into Fairview Park, our setup subcontractor was unable to attain a permit to setup the home, thru the housing authority HCD County of Riverside due to the fact that the new home did not have a fire sprinkler system. At which time we were shown the regulation. We then approached Skyline with the request to install the fire system, which was denied. The Park owner/dealer feels Skyline should not be turning out home that does not meet county requirements or regulations. We are willing to pay up to two thousand dollars, and have Skyline install the fire system, in order to save our relationship.

Oak Manor 3830-CT (model designation) made in plant 341 This Home constructed on 8/10/05. Our home's construction is very poor, especially the windows and the heating system. The master bathroom drops into the high 40 degree range on most winter nights even when the Thermostat is set for 60 degrees. Our winter temperature easily drop into the 20 and 30 degree range. When the heat turns off the floor supply air registers bring cold air into the home. I've crawled under house and checked the crossover ducts but could find no leaks where the air could get in. This Home was new when we got it but we did not order one or spec this house. This Home was set up by a contractor but was paid for by investors who sold it to us.

I bought my Skyline home 1/15/16 and during the walk thru with the owner of the sales company Salem Manufactured Homes of Salem, NH I pointed out the problems with the kitchen cabinets the doors and stiles were all different shades. Some dark and some light and one door had the door insert mill crooked. It looked like these cabinets were a mix of different cabinets thrown together. Unacceptable. The owner of S.M.H. tried to tell me that is the nature of wood. Well it isn't. You get a little variations but not like this, like mixing white and black cabinets. He told me that Skyline would take care of the problem.

We had our home built for us. The house has been fantastic. I had the home set on a concrete foundation and had a split A/C heat pump. The home is almost 1800 sf. I paid for extra insulation both exterior and interior walls for sound. We had upgraded cabinets maple wood. We had real Marble window ledges, Extra high ceilings and cement board siding with random tab roofing. Our electric bill is the lowest of any home I have ever lived in. The home is a 2012. I would buy another one if I ever move.

Skyline promises a house just like a modular home. But what you get is just a pieced together price of crap. For $120000 dollars you would think you did right. But no!!! For 10 months we have complained about the exterior doors. Rains in my atrium door and it has been replaced. Utility storm door has been messed up from the start. The last time someone finally showed up the guy tried to kick it out but no budge. My AC which we have complained about is leaking in the bottom half behind the filter and I just found tonight when doing routine maintained.

This whole process has been a nightmare for me. I went to Ziegler Homes in Woodville Washington picked out the home I wanted. From the beginning everything was crazy. The people at Ziegler Homes are unfriendly. They hooked up my wrong pipes. When they said they hooked up one thing that hooked up another. They were very unprofessional. They didn't even have a permit to set my home up. I had to find out that they needed a permit and they were doing things illegally as far as working with Skyline Homes. Horrible absolute nightmare.

I purchased a 2016 Skyline mobile home and there was a smell coming from the home. They said it was a "new smell" and would go away after I opened it up. Well I did that and it just stayed the same. My nose and throat started to hurt and the smell was constant. I called Skyline in Ohio and the main office and they were going to get back with me. I have not heard from them yet. I had to live with my son because I could not physically stay there. I looked in the vents and there was a lot.

We purchased our home in 2010. The appliances that we had specified were not provided. We had numerous cracks in the flooring shortly after moving in. In fact, within 4 months of living in this brand new home, we had to have the entire kitchen and dinning room floor tile replaced (which Skyline did do at no cost to us). This year, the kitchen faucet had to be replaced, along with the over range microwave oven. The house is not 6 years old yet! The master bath walk-in shower is leaking and there are moisture issues. The kitchen cabinetry had to be corrected as the home has settled. There are also loads of other issues which relate to the dealer. AAA Homes of Tampa Florida, such a very poor job of installing and finishing the home. But I would NEVER recommend Skyline Homes to anyone.

My husband and I traveled to Kamloops BC from Fort St John BC on dec 8, 2014 to put our options in our newly purchased home. The sales staff and manager at the time were very nice and pleasant to deal with but once they got our down payment things went a little crazy but not too bad. After about 4 months I asked for pictures of the progress on our home at the factory. WELL we got a couple and my whole kitchen was wrong. They did a few changes and then refuse to send more pictures.

We have a 2008 Layton travel trailer. The floor started getting soft within one year of purchase and has continued to the point where if I were to step on it I would go through the floor. I have contacted the manufacturer and they admit that they probably used particle board for the floor and they will not replace or repair. Buyer beware!!! They make a good looking **.
