My elderly mother had a house fire. Never dealing with this type of thing and being quite naive I called Servpro. The girls hired on to do the cleanup and pack away were very sweet, very hardworking and I have no issues with. In fact they probably don't get paid enough to do the work they do. The real issue is with the owner and operator who managed to charge my mother's insurance 4 separate times for the same items. Packing/cleaning items, pickup and drop off items, storing items, pickup and drop off of the same items once again. If that was not bad enough her fire was in April of 2025. Wasn't even the whole home. It was 25 to 30%. They said they would have it done in 6 to 8 weeks once they got started. Well they couldn't get the insurance to agree on their estimate and would not start in on anything until getting paid.
At this point it's August and still nothing has been repaired. But everything that needs to be is torn out and gutted. My 80 year old mother on SSI and nothing else. Gave the owner Bobby $10,000 in cash. He was aware that I (her daughter) was to be around during every important meeting, would you know that one meeting where he got 10 grand I was not there! Convenient I'd say. This money she said was to get him started. He was supposed to go buy the materials he needed to start the job. He never went back to finish the job. In fact the windows he bought and billed the insurance for he tried to get that money out of my mother. My mother who realized she had made a mistake didn't want to tell me right away. She was ashamed and embarrassed for doing good anything like that without me being there and after noticing what a mistake of judgement she made told me about the exchange of money 3 to 4 weeks after it happened.
By this time we fired Servpro and hired a credible, professional contractor from our area who took a liking to my mother and decided to help. Since she gave over cash I explained that unfortunately there would be no proof of that and he probably took the money and ran and would never admit to seeing it. Here we are in October. Her insurance has paid out all they can for rehoming. Six months should have been ample time and she should be moving back into her own home. In 4 days she will technically be homeless, along with 2 of her grandkids that stayed with her. Because we found out a little too late about what thieving vultures they are its going to be about another 4 to 6 weeks before she can start seeing it as her home again. Please. If you are in the position of tragedy in your home. DO NOT CALL SERVPRO! For reference and caution to some readers we are from Kankakee County Illinois.

Just recently had a serious water problem at my house which I am renting. State Farm contacted Servpro, and Brianna, TK, Cliff, and Carey have been working diligently to get the drying out phase done. All this is complicated to me, but Servpro is getting my house ready for the construction phase next. I appreciate these people who communicate with me as to what is going on, and doing what needs to be done. Thank you Servpro! I will use the construction team next. A nightmare to me, but they are getting my house back to what it used to be. Thanks.

During Hurricane Milton, my husband and I relied on SERVPRO for flood service. To make a long story short, we found out afterwards we were overcharged by about $23,000. They had stated a job they never did. They took advantage of our first-time situation. I would not recommend this service to anyone. We can't even fight it to get our money back. Sickening.

Do not use Servpro, it took them almost 2 months to redo the bottom portion of our basement walls after a flood which is only putting up new drywall and painting and they were here everyday and they tried to leave with the job unfinished. Unprofessional and they even left some of their tools behind. What a joke.

ZERO STARS _ DO NOT USE _ Servpro Palos Verdes is a franchise, so I understand some locations may be professional and legit. These men from the Palos Verdes location are scam artists and prey on women who live alone in this area. They came out to my home and took 1 hour to tell me I had mold across two rooms and a hallway, 3 feet high starting at the baseboards. Water damage in the ceiling as well. They told me my kids should vacate the rooms immediately, it wasn't safe to sleep another night in these rooms. They asked for $425 for the inspection and then gave me a quote of $7k to remove the mold (that did not include putting the walls back together again). Meanwhile you can not see any mold or water damage, just a damp smell. (Turns out is normal if you live blocks from the ocean and forget to open your windows for ventilation!)
I called my homeowners ins. They sent out 3 inspectors. I called my family plumber of 10 years as well. All professionals confirmed there is no mold, no water damage, nothing. These men put blue tape everywhere and spread fear across my household. This location should be shut down. They simply count on you taking their word and not getting a second, third or fourth opinion before ripping your home apart. Terrible humans! I plan to write a negative review everywhere I can, to anyone who will listen, so others will not be taken advantage. Feel free to return my emails, calls or refund my $425, it would be the right thing to do. K. **, PVE.

I was shocked when I received the bill. Two guys for eight hours per day for two days. $20,000. Shame on me for not getting a quote first. This was in my home's crawlspace for mold removal. $5000 alone just to remove the exposed insulation.

You reach out to a company for remediation/repair following a disaster of sorts. Following water damage I reached out to ServPro Phoenix for remediation and repair. The first stage [remediation] went relatively well, although the clear communication was lacking which led to high anxiety; which is what none of us need, especially following a stressful event.
The real issues transpired with the second stage; the repair. ServPro's advertises the line 'Like it Never Happened'. Hmmm. My experience: ServPro painted the walls throughout my home with a color other than the one I initially had [Switching cream with mint white; thus causing a very different look, and one that I neither liked nor had agreed to]. They fit new carpets, and had initially chosen a color that was not similar to the original. Luckily, I was able to chose the correct color, which they then fitted through two rooms. However, in the larger room, the carpet was not fitted correctly and lifts across one seam, making the seam highly visible. My home insurance released funds to replace base tiles. While ServPro charged for these tiles to be purchased and fitted, they purchased and fitted one third of the base area allowed for in two rooms. And still charged the full amount!
Two bedroom closets were repainted. The paint of one began to crack straight away. Removal and refitting of glass closet doors were done so badly that the doors no longer fit correctly and gaps are visible at each edge. The metal runner had been lifted and replaced and had been replaced incorrectly, leading to the issues with the glass doors. They also damaged the runner so that I sharp edge inconspicuously was raised. I sliced my hand on this, leading to pain, copious bleeding and a tetanus shot.
The bathroom vanity was very badly fitted. The drawer hits against the door jam and cannot be opened, the counter top slides backward, there are no back or side splashes despite these being included in the work order and paid for by home insurance. I have been left with many items left unfinished, including a hole in my wall due to an HVAC register being removed and failure to fit the hole with a new register. There were numerous decisions made without consulting me and without my consent. This has led to a home I no longer recognize, nor want to live in. Replacing like for like? Like it never happened? Hence, the paucity of customer care, lack of service and overall poor workmanship are the areas I would grade highly!

Contacted SERVPRO on behalf of son for mold removal/treatment per water leak. The removal/treatment process went smoothly. Afterwards communication went downhill, estimates for repairs were severely delayed and there seemed to be a lack of concern in rectifying the repairs issues even after a month of initial services. Then when the estimates were finally completed, the task and associated cost of repairs were inflated. The insurance adjuster finally decided to contract another company to inspect the unfinished areas for repairs.

It has been over a month since we had a small waste basket fire. And this how, SERVPRO has left my home. They tell me in TWO MONTHS they will be back to replace the carpet. They took up and replace one piece of dry wall!! THREE MONTHS to make minor repairs!!! Then on top of all of that they LOST a HOUSE KEY, and BROKE a large door mirror and did not tell me, until I confronted them about it!!! There was even a one week period where we had to wait for their Duct cleaner people to get over food poisoning so nothing got done, but delays!! And if we had to wait that week on them, why could not the contractor get his measurements and what not, write up his bid and turn it in. Until waiting till their clean up crew left, and there Duct cleaner! They are not FAST or understand people want there hommes back in shape FAST?
Well the fire happened on 8/21/25 and it is 9/26/25 Servpro came in the same day. Guess what? Talked to them yesterday and their contractor has NOT EVEN TURNED IN A BID!! So we are simply stalled out. After reading other reviews in a lot of places, I ask you pray for me in getting them to get it done before a YEAR passes like for another reviewer on here!!

Little respect for client's time or personal belongings. I tried to help by moving everything out of the way and covering it up. Items were uncovered and thrown about. My dining table was damaged which they admitted to and repaired. They took no accountability for the uncovering and additional damage (a sliced dining chair that then had something put over the slice?!), a new door was marked and the corner damaged. When moving my bed, they forced my mattress up against the metal bed frame legs, did not cover my mattress fully as they had said they would.
I lost earnings from trying to follow up with them. Was made to wait 7 weeks between remediation and repairs. No one would answer my questions timely. Rather they waited until the very last minute. Often days or weeks later. So that I would not have options nor opportunity to clarify/gain the answer I needed. Very little accountability taken by this company. I returned to find items missing.

I experienced a leak in my bathroom after one of the recent flash flood type storms. I had never experienced this so I wasn't sure what to do, and my friend recommended ServPro. She lives in another state, but said they were amazing, so I thought since the one near me has good reviews, I'll give them a call. That was one of the worst decisions in my life. At first, it was great, they came out quickly, which I now know is an extra fee. And I wasn't asked if I wanted them to come on the weekend or not, nor explained the extra fee for that. I don't know their working hours and days so I had no way of knowing this was considered "emergency/after-hours" work.
I could write a super long story about all that happened, but let me give you the long short of it. I chose them because they are supposed to be a one-stop shop that works great with State Farm. I did NOT get that experience. They left me with a giant hole in my ceiling and roof, leaving my bathroom unusable. There are three of us, all with medical issues, so this is NOT okay. They did the mitigation, cut out the ceiling and removed the fan. When they finished, they said someone would call and let me know when they were coming out to repair the ceiling. I got an EMAIL several days later informing me they were too busy and wouldn't be coming out to repair my ceiling. Not even the courtesy of a phone call, just an email that thankfully didn't go to spam, so I did see it.
The entire experience was horrible, honestly. They don't know how to communicate AT ALL. They came out the first time, cut a hole, put a two machines in my tiny bathroom to get the moisture out. No one explained how this works, so I didn't remove all my items. It got so hot in there that everything was ruined (warped or melted). It also kicked up so much dust from the attic that was coming out from under the bathroom door into the bedroom that I was coughing all night. (Found out later they had forgotten to attach the hose that is supposed to go straight into the attic, so instead it was just blowing everything from the attic into the bathroom and out under the bathroom door- let's hope I don't get lung cancer from the insulation blowing all over my freaking bathroom and bedroom).
They left the machines for a couple days and sent someone to check the moisture. They said it was still wet and it would need to be left for another couple of days, and they would let me know when someone could return to check again. When a couple days had passed, I inquired about how much longer because using one toilet for three people just wasn't cutting it, they said they wouldn't be able to get back for at least 9 days. I asked if it had to run that long, they said no, just a couple days. So.. they wanted to leave that equipment running for 9 days, CHARGING ME FOR EACH DAY, because they couldn't come back and get it. They agreed to come remove the equipment until they could put it back in. At least when they put it back in, the guy did it right this time and put a hose into the ceiling, no more insulation blowing everywhere.
They then came back and basically cut out 75% of my bathroom ceiling without letting me know and tried to leave a hole in the tarp covering the ceiling. When I asked them to please cover that hole, I got a serious attitude. I explained that attics sometimes house critters and definitely spiders and bugs, and I don't need for them to have easy access to drop down on me at 2 am while I was going to the bathroom. They covered the hole (see picture, the duct tape area is what he patched after I asked him to, he was going to leave it open). And when they cut the bigger part of the ceiling and insulation out, I found literal insulation particles over my entire bed and all surfaces after they left. Not very PRO.
And the ceiling is still tarped today because I had to wait for a whole other company to come look at what Servpro had done, give me an estimate and schedule the work. It has been almost 6 weeks since they first came out here and I still cannot use my shower or fully use my bathroom. The entire time, getting them to tell me anything was like pulling teeth. They would do whatever they did and say, "Okay, we're done" and go to leave. I would have to ask, "Okay, what is the next step?". And the project manager's attitude was horrible, like I was inconveniencing him for asking what to expect. They also tracked in SO much dirt that I had to clean my carpet in my bedroom. I guess they haven't heard of putting booties on their shoes.
At the end of their first part of work, they gave me a tablet and said, "Here is the last thing you need to fill out" and it was a survey. So they wanted me to fill out the survey while standing there watching me? Nope. I asked if I had to do it right then, and he got an attitude. I guess them asking for a survey before they were even done should have told me they weren't coming back.
When I got the invoice, there was no way to pay it in the email. And I kept getting reminders that I needed to pay my bill every day. When I finally did get a pay link and paid, I got another email saying that I didn't pay. Come to find out, they charged me separate invoices, which wasn't made clear, and this one also didn't have a way to pay. I had to email them to send me a link to pay. And the final bill was more than the estimate they gave to State Farm. So now I have to go fight with State Farm to get the difference. I wouldn't recommend ServPro to my worst enemy. I had a heart attack earlier this year and I chose them specifically so I wouldn't have to coordinate with all the various types of repair people that would need to come out. I don't have the energy. So I ended up paying for PRO services and getting NONE of the Pro part.

If you have a mold issue, please stay away from this company! We had ServPro of Southeast Nashville dispatched to our home to perform water and mold remediation due to a shower leak last year. They did an adequate job remediating the water. However, after they performed the work, all of my family members began experiencing rashes, breathing difficulties, and sicknesses. We eventually had an environmental testing company test the areas where ServPro did the remediation work and the test showed they did not remediate the black mold in the room and we believe (and environmental testing also supports this) they inadvertently spread black mold throughout that side of our home due to unprofessional and improper mold remediation protocols.
We had to hire a 2nd company to do the correct mold remediation procedures, carpet removal in two other rooms, and removal of contents and furniture on that side of the house for proper content wipe down due to the cross-contamination that was created. I've contacted the general manager of this ServPro location and sent him the environmental test showing they did not remediate the black mold in the room we hired them to remediate and he claims they've adequately completed the job. So - buyer beware!

I was offered Servpro from my insurance company to repair my garage from fire and water damage back in June 2025. It is Sept. 2025 and the reconstruction is still not completed. Granted some of the early issues were from my insurance company for lack of communication on their part. Since that was rectified, the issues are solely with Servpro and its vendors. I've been monitoring the progress from home surveillance and vendors are not showing up when they claim to have been working. I've voiced my complaint with Servpro and I am still awaiting to have my garage repaired. I will be posting the process on social media platforms so that customers can review for themselves before choosing this company. Let's see how long this takes to get finished.

I had them come out and repair a damp floor from a crack on outside of wall. Area was about 1/4 of our bedroom. Maybe 3 foot by 10 feet of drywall. They cut the drywall and removed some vinyl flooring and sprayed some “anti Bacteria” on the wall and floor. Cost about $2,000. So shame on me for paying. But then wanted quote to replace drywall, flooring, and baseboard (I supplied baseboard and flooring). They wanted to charge me almost $6,000. I guess when they screw you on price the first time they double-down the second. Was able to get fixed for under $300. These guys are a scam.

On 08/09/25 the city of Milwaukee experienced a flood. On 08/15/25 I called SERVPRO. On 08/16 /25 they arrived explained the process and went to work. My concern is that I did not have any standing water. Only soaked carpet and the onset of mold at the baseboards. Servpro in the process of removing baseboards and door trim broke several and did not carefully remove items from the walls. My favorite clock was broken as they laid it face down, who does that. Some pictures were damaged. I had to rebuy all the door trim as in was broken during the process and this did not have to happen. Should you decide to use Servpro please watch them closely. I was also informed by another flood contractor that it was NOT necessary to remove two feet of drywall. This was very disturbing as some of these things could have been salvaged to minimize cost. They also will leave you with all debris for removal.

I had another person come out immediately that same day and set up better equipment. If I had went with Servpro I would have had a moldy garage. And getting a hold of them to pick up their equipment was difficult. When their staff came to pick up their equipment, I had told them a time frame in which I’d be home. They came when I was not home. Proceeded to keep knocking on my door, when clearly nobody was home. Tried to bother my cat, scaled my front of my house and wouldn’t leave for about 15 mins. I was watching this all on my outdoor cameras. Had to call and their manager to have them leave before I called the police. They were also smoking on my property. So unprofessional. Worst experience ever with any company. It’s been over 4 months and I’m still displaced from my home! Returned to check progress 10 days ago (it was supposed to be finished) and found the floor was installed incorrectly - so it’s cracking, dipping deep in multiple places, and my countertop was used as a cutting board with saw-blade damage. Paint job awful - walls, ceiling and trim was full of trash, dirt grits, peeling and missing in many areas, with different colors used on same trim. Now the manager has decided not to fix my countertop correctly! Not at all ethical response to damage caused by them!! And the floor will not be here for yet another week. I made it clear I must be back in house to prepare for my daughter's wedding this weekend.
I even offered to go get floor in stock elsewhere so they could start working but was told this wouldn’t be possible because approval for the whole floor wouldn’t happen! What? The whole floor is damaged and not installed properly. I don’t see solutions coming from ServPro, only lots of chaos, poor quality workmanship and sketchy work ethic! It’s been a horrible experience and it’s not even close to over yet. I have asked to speak to the owner about most recent decisions by manager, which are completely unacceptable. After they left, I discovered they did not clean the kitchen cabinets, upper /lower, or drawers, as well as the bathroom cabinets and drawers. When I called to complain, they stated work was done per their proposal and they had done the required work. If mold was still present l, it was beyond their expertise and I would have to hire another company. My thought was if they have the knowhow and audacity to work with viral contaminants then what I had to give them would be quite easy. Unfortunately they were unable to live up to their claims. The manager, although friendly did not follow through on contacting me about this problem. I had a simple job of doing a pre-extermination cleaning for bedbug contamination.
There was a clearly defined checklist. All they would have had to do is put on PPE before entering the apartment, collect up all clothing and bed linens and seal them in a plastic bag, vacuum the floors and furniture, and collect all knickknacks and place them in a box by the door. It was quite obvious from my conversation that this servpro did not have the competence or interest in doing a simple job. Do not use them!

Do not use Servpro ever! My husband and I are deeply dissatisfied with the service received from Servpro in response to water damage in our basement in April 2025. From the beginning, our experience was marked by a lack of professionalism and poor communication. When I first contacted their office, I was informed that no technician would be available that evening due to high demand.
However, I received a follow-up call shortly after indicating that a technician could, in fact, be dispatched that night—provided we paid a $500.00 deposit up front. Given the urgency of the situation, we agreed. However, we found this approach to be concerning, as it suggested preferential treatment based on immediate payment rather than prioritization based on need or severity of the damage. Unfortunately, the service continued to fall short due to inconsistent communication, failure to show up as scheduled, and incomplete work, as outlined in the timeline below:
April 4: Technicians arrived on-site at 10:55 PM and stayed for approximately one hour. They informed us that our square footage required up to 19 fans and 2 dehumidifiers. However, they only brought 5 fans and 2 dehumidifiers, promising to bring additional equipment later. No further equipment was ever delivered. April 5: Our family spent over 12 hours manually removing water from the basement and moving belongings. When Servpro technicians arrived, they began removing flooring and baseboards, but several of them left for lunch. During this time, our family assisted with furniture removal and cleanup—tasks we expected your team to handle.
April 6: My husband and I spent an additional six hours removing water and cleaning the space. Servpro arrived later to monitor the equipment. April 7: I received a text and voicemail from the technician asking for a response within 20 minutes to confirm a visit that had not been scheduled in advance. Both my husband and I were at work and could not accommodate the unplanned visit. April 8: Technicians arrived at the property unannounced, without prior communication or consent.
April 9: I received a vague text at 3:02 PM from a technician stating he would be arriving in about 10 minutes, with no explanation of the purpose of the visit. I informed him I would not be home until 3:45 PM. The technician eventually arrived closer to 5:00 PM and stated his intention to begin removing drywall. Given the late hour and lack of notice, I requested that the work be completed the next day when we would not be home.
April 10: Despite our prior arrangement, the technicians failed to show up and did not notify us of any change in plans. April 11: I received a call at 9:57 AM from a technician requesting a preferred time to work. I responded that any time would be fine. I later received a message at 1:18 PM indicating the technician was on the way. He did not arrive until nearly 3:00 PM. Only a portion of the drywall was removed during this visit, and I was informed that the equipment had run out of battery. The remaining work would supposedly be completed over the weekend. At that time, the dehumidifiers and fans were removed from the property.
April 12–13: We received no communication from Servpro on either day. April 14: At 8:40 AM, I received a text from a technician stating he intended to complete the work that morning. Once again, both my husband and I were at work and unable to accommodate a last-minute visit. This was the last communication we received from Servpro. No additional work was completed, and the next contact we received was a bill for services rendered.
Inaccurate and Falsified Billing. In addition to the lack of communication and prolonged services, the billing itself raised further concerns. The initial invoice we received lacked a detailed breakdown of the charges. Upon request, I was sent a more itemized list. At that time, I identified several inaccurate and seemingly falsified charges for work Servpro claims was completed. These include:
Garage. 7. Water extraction from hard surface floor – $140.99. The garage totals 542.25 square feet. Servpro did not perform water extraction in the entire garage, as there was a vehicle parked inside and many items had already been relocated to the garage by the time their team arrived. In fact, my husband and I had already removed most of the water from this space ourselves.
Family Room.
25. Tear out wet drywall, cleanup, bag (per LF, up to 2’ tall) – $394.78. Out of the 92.67 linear feet billed, only 45.92 feet of drywall were actually removed. One wall in the room is 24'8" long, but 12'8" of that is a brick fireplace with no drywall. Additionally, the drywall on several walls—including the 10'3" wall and hallway leading from the garage—remains intact, as evidenced by photos submitted to Servpro.
26. Contents - move out then reset – $72.93. No contents were moved by Servpro on April 4. By April 5, all contents—except for a couch and chair—had been moved by my husband and our family members. The remaining two items were placed on blocks and moved by us when your team required access.
Laundry Room. 29. Tear out wet drywall, cleanup, bag (per LF, up to 2’ tall) – $93.72. No drywall was removed in this room, which is clearly supported by the photographs we submitted.
Bathroom. 32. Tear out wet drywall, cleanup, bag (per LF, up to 2’ tall) – $95.13. Again, no drywall removal occurred in this space, as documented in the photo evidence provided.
Escalation of Issues. In addition to these concerns, there have been several phone calls regarding payment, including discussions about:
- Waiting for our insurance company to evaluate the property for reimbursement,- Waiting for the insurance payout check to be issued and cashed, and
- Waiting for Servpro to send an updated bill with the uncompleted or disputed charges removed—a bill we have yet to receive.
I have submitted photo evidence of the incomplete work twice—once in early June, and again on June 27, after I received a call from Servpro threatening to take us to small claims court, despite never having sent us the updated invoice. On June 30, I was informed by phone that our photos and complaints had been forwarded to the remediation department and that we would be contacted with a resolution. To our surprise, on July 3, Servpro filed a mechanics lien on our property—including the same falsified charges we previously disputed. On July 8, during a phone conversation a office staff member and I was told: “The mechanics lien is just to protect us in case you would try to sell the property while we figure out the charges.”
This response is unacceptable. Servpro knowingly filed a lien that includes charges for work that was never performed—charges we have documented and repeatedly disputed. We expected a timely, professional service during a stressful situation. What we received instead was a disorganized process, repeated no-shows, unclear communication, and inaccurate billing. This experience has been frustrating, disappointing, and unacceptable. I have attempted to contact Servpro in hopes that this could be resolved but I just want people to know what they will get if they hire Servpro to do any work for them!

An example of what I mean: They replaced water damaged floor insulation with R-11 faced insulation and stuffed in the space using wires instead of staples; they should have used R-30 faced insulation and stapled it to the floor supports; in addition, they left piping exposed to the element and did not completely insulate the affected area. I have numerous line items on their estimate they charged for but were not affected or completed that they charged to the insurance. They will not hesitant to use collections and lien actions to punish the consumer if they do not support their activity.

Incredibly poor experience with ServPro for the following reasons:
• At the conclusion of the project, the project manager sent a change order for a 50% addition to the agreed upon cost *once the work had already been done and without notifying us that there would be additional costs*. We had to get a lawyer to push back on this so that we didn’t have to pay.
• Our project manager was, frankly, incompetent and was more of an obstruction to the work being done well and on time than a help. We ended up doing more project managing than he did.
• They actively pushed us to NOT pull permits and do the work to code, since it would take additional time and money.
We learned the hard way that we should NOT use a company like ServPro just because our insurance recommended them. We would have been much better using the contractor we really liked, rather than being scared into using ServPro (and our insurance would have definitely covered it in hindsight).

When I returned the next day, I could see that much was still covered with dust and the floors were streaked where the dirt clearly was just pushed around by the mopping they did.
I talked to the project manager and sent her the pictures of the remaining dirt and streaked floors. I was told Servpro would get back to me by end of day (Friday). At the end of the day I called to inquire about it and was told they got busy with some emergencies and would get back to me on Monday. Extremely poor service. They basically robbed us. A small stove top fire and they said everything was damaged. No smoke in the bedrooms with the doors closed and the sprinklers did not even get triggered in the bedrooms. And, yes, they took everything including my daughter’s brand new MAC desktop. They said because she would not give them the login for it that they were going to “throw it out“. They took things like diamond rings, perfume (in glass bottles), about a hundred bottles of nail polish, professional cutting shears (valued over $400. each. I am a cosmetologist). They took all my hair supplies. They took so many things of great value that were not damaged.
I took a couple things like the kids’ PlayStation and a couple other electronics. They probably would have taken them too if I hadn’t. Now I wish I would have just taken everything I wanted because they never returned them. We got some clothes back and had to keep asking where is this or that and they would magically find it. But they couldn’t not find anything that was of great value 🤔. We also got clothes that were not even ours. I would not even give 1 star if it didn’t make me pick one. Lesson learned!

I had a disappointing experience with Servpro, particularly with the manager, Susan **. She was extremely insensitive, stating that my items were old and already damaged. If that were the case, Servpro should have documented them as a total loss instead of packing them out and later returning them broken. In addition to the Haitian statue, several other items were also returned damaged. I provided a detailed list, including pictures, the replacement cost, and where the items could be purchased, which totaled $271.12. However, Servpro only offered $125 as compensation for the damage they caused.
One of the most upsetting aspects was the handling of my Haitian statue, which has been in my family for over 15 years. ** stated: “Regarding the Haitian Statue, in reference to my comment below. This piece was already damaged when we brought it to our warehouse, causing the wood to be weak and split in other places. Due to that being pre-existing damage, we could list the statue on your total loss report that was sent to your insurance; however, we would then need to dispose of the statue.” To keep my statue, I told her we would consider it a loss. My recommendation is to monitor Servpro closely if you choose to use their services. If you notice they are not handling your items with care, stop them immediately. Unfortunately, they do not prioritize making things right for the customer when they are at fault.

When Servpro didn’t show today and I called to ask why, the office manager (Abbey **) said that they don’t work weekends. So then I asked why she had called last week to make the offer of service on a Saturday. Our insurance estimator made us use Servpro to remove carpet in our dining room and living room that was ruined when I fell and bled everywhere. They harassed us for payment before we even received our settlement. Plus charged us for antimicrobial treatment when nothing was applied to the floor. That was 120$. When they started removing the carpet it revealed nice hardwood floors. We told them we were going to leave the floors as they were and not put carpet back over it. The workers repeatedly dug the utility knives into the wood while cutting the carpet. Leaving the nice floors cut up and scratched. Servpro sent someone out to supposedly look at it. He said they weren't going to do anything about it. So that was our experience with Servpro. Beware!

He used my mop head to wipe down the mold on the wall. Left debris everywhere and left pee in my basement toilet. Unfortunately, by then I had already signed off that their work was complete (it only took two days to gut the basement and run the fans then I signed). After two weeks of the smell not going away I put my nose to the baseplate and it almost knocked me out. ServPro came out and confirmed that was the source of the smell but since the claim was "closed" I would have to pay out-of-pocket to have them do the job they should've done the first time they were out and was paid $19k to do. Ended up having a leakage in the living room from the hot water heater. Ended up needing removing part of the wall replaced and living room carpet taken up due to mold. They said everything would be finished within 3-4 weeks, however it took almost 2 months to get everything done, such as the wall fixed and carpet placed down. Finally after a month of getting the wall fixed, they needed to sand it in order for the paint to be smoothed out, which is understandable. However, the way it was executed was poorly.
After the sanding was finished, there were so many sand particles in the living room, the kitchen, and a bit in the bedrooms. There were all over furnitures, electronics, speakers, etc. What's ridiculous is that they didn't bother to clean it, and it took me and my husband 5 days straight, almost a week, to get everything cleaned up and dusted off. After the wall was painted the next day after sanding, it was completed, however 2 weeks go by and the carpet hasn't been put down and was sitting there in the living room untouched. They really need to be considerate of people's time and their belongings, but of course like majority of companies, all they care about is money and not the people. Would not recommend.

I had an unimaginably horrible odor in my otherwise gorgeous new home and the ServPro team of Tarrytown / Elmsford were nothing short of a Godsend!!! And when I say this, I mean Tony and his team (Nick, Henry, and Jorge) literally perform miracles. I had assumed that the smell, which was apparent in the home upon the initial viewing, would disappear with the former owners when they moved out, but it had somehow become deeply entrenched in the home – the air, every nook and cranny, the carpet, the walls, everything. It was horrifying and shocking to realize that the former owners had hired professional cleaners, as every surface seemed to be already sanitized and dust free, yet the overpowering odor persisted to the point where I had to open the windows anytime I was in my new home and couldn’t spend more than 20 minutes in there without uncontrollably gagging and becoming extremely sick.
In desperation, I Googled local cleaning specialists and found ServPro, which seemed to offer the most heavy duty cleaning out there (i.e. I wasn’t sure if another normal cleaning service could get the smell out, because the former owners seemed to have cleaned and sanitized everything already). Tony was so friendly, kind, and supportive from the initial phone call we had and at every step of the remediation process. He quickly accommodated my schedule to meet with me and assess the smell, despite seeming to juggle many other appointments at the same time. He not only met my distress with a calm and reassuring manner that put my nerves at ease, but he also quickly drew up a proposal that worked within my budget and involved specialty equipment specific to my situation.
I wasn’t sure if the equipment would work, but because Tony worked to get things within my budget, I was able to give it a try and boy am I glad I did. I mean, glad doesn’t even begin to describe the level of relief and joy that I felt with the over-the-top amazing work that ServPro did for me. The smell is COMPLETELY GONE!!!! I am nearly 100% certain that no amount of cleaning would have ever gotten that smell out and that very specialized equipment was necessary.
If you have a horrible situation that normal cleaning has failed to remediate then ServePro is your best bet. Not only will they be friendly and supportive at every step of the process – which is so incredibly helpful when you are dealing with a horrible (I would even say traumatizing) situation – but I am convinced they can fix nearly every situation that normal cleaning can’t. Oh, and they also give free estimates – so you literally have nothing to lose in scheduling a consultation. If you’re in doubt, just call them – you will not regret it.

The only good thing was ServPro did show up within one to two hours and begin working on removing the water and putting up their big fans to dry up the floor. If this happens to you, here are some things you should know. Do not use Servpro to do the reconstruction work. Just use them to get the water out. However, when you do have them getting the water out, have them use their own account for the electricity being used. Ours cost over $600 to run their equipment for a total of at least two weeks 24 seven otherwise you will get stuck with that bill unless your insurance company will pay for it.
The type of people that work for Servpro are unprofessional, do not follow rules, do not care about your personal belongings, and in my opinion, need babysitting around the clock. We ask them to stay out of our upstairs and do not use our bathroom. I came home to check things and get some belongings and the toilet was running nonstop upstairs it was broken. I had to have a plumber. Come out and fix it. I had some belongings broken from being kicked I imagine their carelessness. They used our hose and left it on so in this colder weather, it had a leak. The hose had to be thrown out and I don’t know how much water was being wasted. They also used our equipment in our garage. they left a mess in our garage. I will have pictures for you to see, they left food trash in the front yard and the bushes. There was a time period of two weeks where I felt like nothing was happening on the reconstruction.
And lastly, I asked them to come back and clean up their mess in the garage. I was home and had my garage open. A man entered the garage and started cleaning. He never told me who he was or made himself present. I finally said hello and showed him the mess And informed him that he used our equipment and why would you do that and he was very rude saying I wasn’t here when they did the walk-through. My father-in-law called Austin to set up an appointment to meet at my house. Austin agreed. After sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for us to get here. I suggested that he called because I felt like Austin wasn’t going to show up. Therefore, he called Austin and Austin‘s response. Was Kaitlyn was supposed to call you from the office to let you know that I could not come and meet at the house that Jamie said that it needed to be formal and in Office setting. Refusing to answer any of my father-in-law‘s questions. After him repeatedly asking why there is Mold still in the house.
Hopefully the meeting that is set with Austin for Monday at 4 PM with either Jamie or Danielle actually happens because Austin keeps saying he can’t give us the answers that he wants. He also informed my father-in-law that I should call the office to try to get a hold of Jamie leave a message. He will call me back. I’ve done this several times with no phone call back. I called another company and to see what it would cost to fix their mistakes during this estimate. I was informed that there was so much untouched that should’ve been touched. I’m very disappointed and in the communication that has taken place during this whole situation. I truly hope that my experience can get out to enough people so they can make sure that they don’t go through the same thing that my family and I have.
Servpro of Alachua County West Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a company. I called them in to fix the mold in our three bathrooms as well my adjoined wall closet. After receiving a protocol report from The Mold Guyz company, I got estimates from two remediation companies, Servpro and Dryers. Austin with Servpro said that they come in and take care of the demo, HVAC cleaning and drywall replacement. Since Dryers told me that they only do the demo and they do not replace the drywall, and that I would have to use other companies for the drywall replacement and to clean the HVAC I chose Servpro.
Due to my autoimmune issues and having fibromyalgia as well as having a family of six plus a dog to rehome (the dog stayed with us) during the process, I truly had to think about my choices. Since Austin could confirm that they were on all in one company and that he would be able to not only take down walls, but also put them back as well as clean the HVAC, I chose Servpro to do my project. Due to the extent of damage that was in my home, I specifically asked Austin how long this would take and what he thought the estimate would be the first day he was there. He highballed me and said roughly around $25,000. Austin also assured me that day that when I received my estimate that it would be the highest number as their company does not want to surprise their customers at the end of the project being completed.
The estimate finally came in at $6408. I was never informed that I would have to receive two different estimates from two different services of Servpro to get my mold, mitigation problem handled. My project started October 8 and I was told it would take four days for the whole thing to be taken apart and completed. I rented an Airbnb for Monday until Saturday to give them enough time to get things completed and get back into my home. Instead, I come into a home on Saturday, October 12 to my air conditioning not running and in fact, the job not even being completed.
I called Austin to inform him of what I came home to. He sent out two of his teammates on Saturday to take notes and take pictures of the things that they’ve missed. So we had to rent another Airbnb that we could not afford. Austin was down in Tampa handling new business from hurricane Milton. He did return on Monday the 14th to walk through with me for me to show him all the things and had not been completed. Tuesday the 15th, his team came to demo again. They still did not complete their job Which lead them to fail the mold test on Wednesday the 16th. Team came out again on Thursday to try again. Austin called his own mold investigator to come out on Friday the 18th to test. They failed most areas due to visible mold. So we had to find another Airbnb (that’s 3 now).
During this time, I spoke to several different people from the Servpro office none which were in charge, or could answer my questions or concerns. Austin informed me the only two people in the office that could answer my questions were Danielle Collins and Jamie Farrell. I was also told that they refused to speak to me by Austin. I have called the office and I’ve left messages to speak to either Jamie or Danielle, but no return call. I was promised by Austin that Jamie was going to refund my money due to the extensive time being pushed out of my home and the extra money that was spent due to their failed job. I wanted confirmation on this and clarification about the rest of the job, which I never received. And there is yet another estimate coming for the drywall replacement. We are done.
I would not recommend anyone having this company come into their home and trusting them to do their jobs without you going behind them and making sure all your mold is out of your home. Or even to not use my personal Shopvac for their job. And after all of this, I can still see mold in my bathroom that everybody missed. 0/10

I do not recommend ServPro. They do not take responsibility for mold growing in the closet adjacent to the bedroom they ripped down to the studs (walls and ceiling) because they were SO CONCERNED about mold growth due to water damage caused by a tornado that came through Kaufman on 5/28/24. They claim there was no moisture detected and covered the entrance to the closet with plastic. After we took the plastic down (which they never advised when to take down), the closet was COVERED in mold. All our clothes, shoes, cameras, pictures, tools, everything. Black mold, Grey mold, hanging white fuzzy mold on walls, ceilings, shelves, everything. They deny responsibility for missing it thus allowing it to grow. In denying fault, my insurers won't address it as part of my home damage claim. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. IF YOUR INSURER SENDS THEM TO YOU, BEAT THEM OFF WITH A STICK.

They were dirty, lazy idiots who did not do what they were contracted to do and ruined my crawl space. They did not clean effectively before. Their time management was very chaotic and unprofessional. They sprayed the mold remediation over cob webs, over damp rid containers all over my pipes and dehumidifier ruining everything. I needed a new dehumidifier. They sprayed over outlets. The spray corroded my plumbing. They did a half ass job and charged way too much money for something a blind monkey could do better.

I had some issues with the local Servpro company. First, their contractor would not answer my calls after several attempts. They wanted me to sign a contract with blank spaces (where money amounts were supposed to go). They damaged my bed and said they would fix it. I waited a month and then they said that after an investigation they wouldn’t fix it because according to them it had been my fault. I called the main Servpro headquarters to complain but to my big surprise, Ashley the dept supervisor, said that there was nothing she could do since it was a locally owned Servpro company. I asked her if they didn’t care that the local company was giving them a bad reputation and again she said she couldn’t do anything. She referred me to the Better Business Bureau instead. What a disappointment.

I have hired Servpro based on their nationwide reputation to mitigate flood damage after Debby tropical storm. I called the local Sarasota, FL, office to request help and 5 days later I got a response from Servpro of Northern Liberties of New Jersey an emergency mitigation team. I was promised complete service including the removal of flood damage and rebuilding afterwards by a local branch of Servpro. Instead, I got a half finished job of flood mitigation by the NJ company with questionable background and business practices. The company salesman offered no estimate or copies of any signed documents.
Their quote was “no more than… and possibly less”. After the mitigation, they held all paperwork hostage until the bill was paid, where the bill was “more not less” than verbally quoted. To this day I have not received complete paperwork. The local branches of Servpro (in Venice & Sarasota, FL) never contacted me with a quote to fix the damages left behind Servpro of NJ, despite my several phone calls. All in all, Servpro in general and the local branches in particular offered terrible service with shady and outlandish prices, and opaque business practices. I will never use them again and warn other to be cautious as well.

I’m so upset with Servpro! Zero is my rating for them! They came to my house immediately on 8/5/24 when I called them. They could not give me an estimate? I had no idea a small clean up would be $1300 water + $1300 to retack my carpet back down, it was just the hallway, total of $2600??? (I called a carpet place. They quoted $300 to retack carpet, not $1300!) So I didn’t use Servpro for retacking carpet. They did quickly clean up the water and put fans up. BUT before they finished I got an email wanting $1300 immediately on 8/11/24, then 2nd notice demanding payment 8/16/24 then “final notice” before taking legal action against me 8/26/24!
These are crazy emails and I would never use servpro again! Prices are way too high and extremely poor customer service! FYI I called them twice to tell them to stop sending rude emails and to just send me a bill and I just got my bill on 8/23/24, sent them a check immediately and 8/26/24 got my 3rd email saying they will take legal action! Don’t pay with credit card because they will charge you 3% for that! Never again call Servpro!

The testing is a huge profit Center which should be regulated by each state or congress. They will suggest far more work than is necessary when proposing the job. Communication was not a strong point within the company, no one knew what event would follow, no on site POC or supervisor and no reply to emails, text messages and phone calls until stop payment of claims funds.
Servpro charged three times the amount for temp storage, double the amount for repairs, materials and replacement also charged for AC vent detach/reattach, screws and hose disconnect/reconnect and items not effected by flooding-kitchen oven removed/reinstalled. Notified my insurance immediately that this company was trying to 'fast track' and take advantage our claims payment process and requested that all funding stop and another contractor was hired. I am checking my cards often and to my horror, discovered an extra payment to the Team Dobson that I didn’t make. Immediately reported as FRAUD and requested a new card with a different number.
My kitchen had water damage from a burst pipe in the ceiling, so I called my insurance company who in turn contacted Servpro Team Dobson. The Team Dobson started with demolition that was totally unnecessary. They removed all they could from the walls that was attached to them permanently (some unique molding pieces I couldn’t locate at all afterwards), ran cords across the room (safety hazard), used ALL outlets so I couldn’t cook a meal, and continued cutting into the ceiling even after meeting resistance due to the metal mesh it is covered with. Boy am I glad that they didn’t succeed. But my insurance company was billed regardless, and no apology.
The water remediation was included in the demolition phase but didn’t start until a few days later. The repairs didn’t happen because I fired them. At that point I discovered that the walls and the ceiling were still wet. The demolition was totally unnecessary but hey, the insurance company was billed regardless. And where are my unique molding pieces? No telling. The walls and the ceiling remained wet afterwards. I was forced to post a positive review on my phone in haste and under pressure. So now am doing the right thing by posting this review. I will never hire a Servpro Team Dobson franchise again and don’t recommend them to anyone.

Wood, dirt, screws, and trash were all over the floor. My sink, coffee maker, and bananas were in my laundry room placed next to my cat's litter box. Cabinets were pulled from the wall and not unscrewed, leaving holes in the wall. They scratched my hardwood floors, which I now have to have fixed. My marble countertop was removed, and they placed it behind my couch (part of why my floors are scratched up), then they had to move it after I explained how dangerous that was with a child and pet.
My child could have injured herself on that marble! They tried to convince me it was safe! The countertop had to be moved for the second time, who knows the condition it is in because it sits on its side, on concrete, behind broken cabinets. I have a toddler, they knew this, and thankfully I left work early and was able to clean up before my daughter came home. Once I arrived home, I messaged the person in charge of my case, and did not respond back regarding the carelessness and unacceptable condition of my home. I spent an hour cleaning up after them. My kitchen has to be contained to protect my daughter because they left it in an unsafe, hazardous condition.

If I could give less then 1 star, I absolutely would. There was literally so many problems that I could write for days so going to try hitting the biggest points at least to shorten our experience. We had a water leak on hose that connects to fridge while we were gone 2 hours and came back to house having 4-6" of water and every room wet. Insurance sent ServPro over the next day. Said on phone it'd just be for an estimate but started working right away, even before having just 1 of us sign a contract. They started out quick and seemed to know what to do. Also were very nice guys. Started under house saying they had removed all insulation then got to pulling up carpet inside before we even had a chance to grab any personal items. Def had no privacy to do so with picture taking and workers everywhere we turned, which pushed me to get out since was clearly in the way and didn't want that.
Next day had fans, ozones, and dehumidifiers to start drying it out. By day 4 they had already taken out every single one and didn't come back for weeks, until I started filing complaints and mentioned getting a lawyer then suddenly decided to come talk. They started Dec.18th and day they showed back up was Jan.3rd just to give an idea. In that time they removed our bottom cabinets, hardware, counters, backsplash and tile while we weren't there or told about and took off property completely. Left a bunch of the cabinets still there missing drawers and totally damaged. Treated our personal belongings like total garbage damaging at least 4 pages (just the start) worth of damages. Left over 100 gal of water to sit in HVAC ducts that whole time and soaking wet floors and walls to turn into black mold bad.
They also left every single one of our personal belongings except kitchen cabinet contents and dishwasher inside without trying to protect any of it. Put mattresses on wet floors instead of leaving where they were just fine on bed frames, shattered picture frame glass shards cutting into our mattress, open bottle of wood glue laying on its side on top of all my photo canvases that were on wall, piled wet and dry stuff together on beds or wet floors, left my HP printer shattered in pieces on floor, packaged things so bad that an adjuster had never seen such a worse job in all his years doing that job.
Took all my items in dresser drawers after saying wouldn't touch anything in them since had no reason to and didn't even move, left crawlspace under house full of soaking wet insulation, didn't remove hardly any of damaged insulation except 5 or 6 bags full that were thrown and left in my yard, butchered HVAC so needed fully replaced and couldn't be used at all, damaged all my antiques including my beautiful rare cedar hope chest from 1920s passed through generations totally scratched up bad from sliding nightstands on it. Sooo much more including outside damages even. Owner replaced the printer but decided to back out of taking the 2 other items he was there to get in the first place because I said items were missing of great value and significance and wanted help locating but became aggressive and defensive about it. Tried saying I was lying and nothing shows it was even there to start even though I had messages from project manager saying it was and he packed it personally.
That was only 1 of many lies I caught him telling but first one to call him out on and became more aggressive. I was given a heads up beforehand to watch out because is a smooth talker. Made promises didn't keep, told lies, and even tried saying my adjuster was saying bad things about me to him and that he planned to hire them back in a couple weeks but just fired them for now til I wasn't upset anymore. Can't even count how many times I heard him say "the insurance has to pay for that" or "insurance covers the damages they caused anyway so it's ok" and that's exactly the attitude they worked with.
Sent a formal complaint in and literally was a waste of time because did nothing. Didn't follow or do a single protocol, was nowhere close to any standards. Most shady and worst company I've EVER seen or dealt with and turned my life into the worst nightmare you can imagine and costing us both out of pocket and taking away cost of repairs on our house by having insurance pay for work they didn't do and overcharging them. How they can get away with doing this to people is beyond me but hopefully I can help save others or get the word out to right people and maybe getting it to stop.

Horrible company and employees! We had a flood in Brookline 6/20/23…that night while our basement was flooding we called them to help, they came, saw our finished basement where 2 teenagers bedrooms and hangout space was…they said we have 5mins to pay $7,000 or they were going to leave and move on to the next house. Being that it was 8pm and a foot of water in our basement we went ahead. Paid them and they started pumping the water and capping the toilets and shower drain. They came back 3 days later and installed probably 10 fans. A few days later they said they could see mold so it was our best option to remove the wood floors and 5ft of all the walls and we were given less than 5mins or they would pack up the fans and leave. Always threatening and having no bedrooms for 2 of our kids we needed this process to continue.
It took them on and off coming to our house for over 3 months to finish pulling up our floor boards and walls. So by October they were done. After having issues with employees and smoking in our house….peeing in water bottles we did not have them do the restoration. Our insurance gave us $26,000 (for ServPro and to remodel and repurchase furniture we lost). By December we got the bill of $20,000 on top of the $7,000 we paid to start. Insurance gave them $6,000 but we used the other money to get the basement livable for children (cost about $50,000) because our contractor had to fix the job Servpro did.
Since we got the bill in December we have been getting phone calls and emails weekly. When saying we are doing our best to repay they get an attitude and will not even consider a payment plan for the $16,000 balance left. From construction crew, managers, accounting, all horrible and wish we never used them because come to find out our floors never needed to be pulled up nor did a lot of other things they said we needed to do!

I used Servpro for cleanup after smoke damage. To make a long story short, one of the cleanup crew was cleaning my kitchen ceiling fan with Easy Off oven cleaner. I was surprised, but the young lady told me it worked great on fans and not to worry. Later a young man was standing on my countertop cleaning the kitchen cabinets. When the crew was done for the day, I noticed a 2 foot area, where the man had been standing, on my Formica countertop that was damaged. It was etched. The gloss was completely gone in the form of a wet swipe of a rag that had been allowed to dry. You could see the wet rag imprints. I showed it to the crew who looked scared when they saw it. Very noticeable.
I saw that there were no clearly marked bag for clean rags nor for dirty rags. Just one black hefty bag on the kitchen floor full of rags. I put 2 and 2 together and knew what had happened. The man must have used the easy off rag to wipe something off the counter. There could be no other explanation. The lady who seemed very upset, said, yes it did look like that. I asked the crew, "in your training, are you taught by Servpro to protect countertops with a barrier?" They said, no. I told them not to worry, that I would not blame them, but the company.
On the phone, the owner's son corroborated what the crew said about the fact that they do not put a protective barrier over countertops. He said, "No. That's not in the training". I told him that was incredible knowing how expensive some counters can be!! Well, I cannot tell you the amount of grief that Mr. **, the owner, and his son put me through over replacement of the counter whose color had been discontinued, necessitating me having to buy a whole new counter. I had a professional come and look at it, and said yes, that it had been etched.
I got my insurance company involved, said I would be willing to go to court, talked to various agencies who could help me to file a complaint, and it took months of this until Mr ** finally agreed to give me a quarter of the amount it would cost to replace the counter after I sent him an estimate. He said the counter was older, hence the low amount of money (my counter btw was in great shape without any major issues. The son had come out to see the counter, saw some spots of slight wear around the sink and deemed it old and damaged from age. I had taken excellent care of the counter. He also looked at the damage done by Servpro without comment).
I told the owner, Mr. S., after all the months of hassle they put me through, that unfortunately, his company would be getting a negative review. He then told me he could then sue me for libel!! I was scared for over a year to make a Google online review. I saw this site and decided to report the Truth about my experience with Servpro of the Eastern Shore of Maryland. So, that is my story in shortened form. My advice is to find any other company.

They talk a good game. Then ruin your home. If I could rate negative stars and warn anyone I would hope this helps. They drain the insurance for NOTHING. Save yourself from being taken advantage of. Do your homework before letting anyone in your home. It’s been since December 23rd. My house is now worse than it was when they showed up.

My insurance company paid my invoice in full and Servpro never said a word. My insurance company filed bankruptcy shortly after making the payment so I was not notified by them. Servpro knew they were paid in full December 31, 2022 and they knew I was waiting for them to get paid in full so they could deliver my belongings because I had just spoken to the project manager December 7th via email. I assumed the reason I hadn't heard from anyone was because of the bankruptcy. But I did make several attempts to contact Servpro via email, phone, and even had a lawyer write a letter and send it to them concerning my belongings. NO RESPONSE!!!
The only reason I found this out is because the insurance adjuster handling my insurance company's bankruptcy TOLD ME the accountant at Servpro said that my account was paid in full December 31, 2022, this was the beginning of JANUARY of THIS YEAR! I called. I got lies. The project manager is not in. All the managers are at lunch. I have all of this on video folks. I can't make this up.
So I go up there. Magically everyone I been trying to talk to for over a year is there. And THEY STILL REFUSE TO SPEAK TO ME. They had a note on my account that says NEVER EMAIL OR MAIL THIS CUSTOMER ANYTHING EVER!!! SWEAR. Then they gave me a lawyer's name and number and kicked me out. The lawyer sends me a letter graciously offering to take the 32k bill down to 10k and I gotta pay to get my stuff and move it myself and take down my social media posts and sign a nondisclosure form... Then they will give me my stuff back... If not, they will take legal action.
What kind of trash takes advantage of a widowed veteran, single mother of 4 kids that just had a house fire? This is despicable and I will not let them get away with what they are trying to do to me. I don't care if I have to take a loan out, they will see me in court. And they are going to return my belongings. That's just all there is to it.

Wouldn't do any work till all paperwork signed including waiver to cancel the contract within 3 days. DO NOT EVER SIGN THIS WAIVER!! They started work drying. After a couple days they destroyed the kitchen floor, partial demo not finished in kitchen or bathroom, and cut out 5 inches of drywall throughout kitchen and bathroom. There are multiple layers showing, damage to sub floor and that's how ServPro left the job.
3 month later and kitchen and bath destroyed. ServPro reconstruction team never showed up, no one did an on-site estimate and insurance sent a check for 889.00. ServPro's amount wasn't included in total claim and they received their money direct from State Farm. So minus deductible we received check for 889.00 for a destroyed bath and kitchen. They said the new floor & wall repairs would be done this week. NOPE! They are trying to get more money out of me even though I have already asked for and received 2 increases from my insurance company to meet ServPro's estimate, which is changing again. My new flooring cost $387 and they are charging over $1500 to install it. One room!! $190 to paint with one coat on each doorjamb.
I wish I would have read the Consumer Affairs reviews instead of the Google reviews! Who knows when the repairs will be made to my house. They delayed the work again today saying they needed more information for the insurance company. All of that has already been taken care of! I have already signed the paperwork and paid them 50% of the total cost of the job, but with this new delay today and reading these reviews, I may just ask for my money back and go with a different contractor. My nextdoor neighbors in my condo building had a fire and their apartment sustained a lot of significant fire and smoke damage. ServPro was hired to come in and do remediation. Living next door and sharing a wall with that unit, I expected there would be noise when it came to the demo and other heavy activities, so I asked if they could remember to shut the door as I work from home. The demolition work was indeed incredibly loud and distracting as they were tearing out the ceiling, which I expected, but they kept leaving the door to the apartment open, so all the noise would spill out. I asked multiple times nicely, and in Spanish, for them to close the door (all the windows in the apartment were open for ventilation.) Not only did they leave the door open, they then started playing music in Spanish very loudly and leaving the door open. Again I went to ask them to close the door because I work from home.
The head guy told me to "get out" and turned the radio on. I said I would need to call someone. He said, "Yeah. Yeah. Get out. Call whoever you want." He then cornered me in the apartment by the door and shouted GET OUT at me repeatedly to bully me out. I had to call the building management, who contacted the owners who are traveling and have an infant, so they could contact the company to get their manager out here to tell him to turn off the music. Only then did he turn the music off, but was not asked to apologize. The manager said he thought there had been a misunderstanding. I explained that there was no misunderstanding, the man understood my Spanish completely well. Also, the apartment still reeks of smoke and they scratched the walls of hallway with their equipment on the way out of the building. Find someone else.

On the evening of 3/29/21 our father’s home sustained damage due to an electrical fire. He escaped uninjured but was forced to relocate. This Cedar Rapids home is a pillar on First Avenue’s Northwest side and has been in our family since our grandmother purchased it in1951. 3/31/21 was the day that our father signed the contract with ROBARB, LLC dba SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids, IA to complete the restoration of our family home. The owner, project manager, our father, as well as three family members, and our insurance claims representative, were present at this meeting. They assured our father that their company could take care of all cleaning, restoration, and storage of his personal property and that the timeline for completion would be 6-9 months.
At the time, it was reassuring to our father that a local company would be overseeing the entire process of restoration, reconstruction, storage, as well as “cleaning”. Little did we know that this journey would consume almost three years of our lives. Nov. 29, 2023, marked 32 months to the day that our father signed the contract. Yes, the exorbitant bill has been paid but there is much left to be said. This is a forewarning to anyone who may ever need assistance after a disaster when decision-making is driven by emotions, distress, and uncertainty. Please read through our experience so that you will be better prepared than we were when our father signed his agreement in 2021.
Our father passed away on 10/1/21 and was never able to return to his beloved home. Throughout the reconstruction, we were continually given multiple completion dates by both the project manager and the owner of the company beginning in July 2022. The delays required our family to obtain two claim extensions from our insurance company, as this work was not completed within their 2-year underwriting limit for the claim. Also, because of multiple delays, family members who eventually purchased the home were forced to reapply for mortgages due to the expiration of rate locks they had secured with their financial institution. By the time they could close on the transaction, their interest rates had increased by over 2%.
Because the project manager was rarely on-site, many unnecessary setbacks occurred. On 5/8/23 the SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids project manager admitted to his failures in a meeting that was prompted by our family and several Cedar Rapids Building Inspectors. He assured us that he would “Make it right”. When the General Manager was asked about this, his response was, “The comment made by ** to "make it right" was never meant as a financial commitment to the ** family on behalf of Servpro.” If not a financial commitment, how else could Servpro make things right for their admitted negligence? Here are just a few of the adversities that occurred over the course of 32 months:
- Multiple subcontractors were used during the reconstruction, including out-of-state subcontractors. Their availability was limited and sporadic. When one subcontractor failed to complete a job, another had to pick up where the first one left off.
- The errant disposal of original wood trim that had not been damaged in the fire. We happened to be at the house one day when a ROBARB, LLC dba SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids employee was removing a pile of debris that included some of the original dining room trim. We rescued those few pieces, but some had already been discarded. New wood base and case moldings had to be milled - and our family was charged for this work.
- Family heirlooms were lost at the SERVPRO storage facility including all the curved wood shelving for a cherished antique china cabinet and the hardware for our grandmother's century-old, custom-made dining room table. The project manager was made aware of these missing items, and we have had no resolution. Our mother’s antique cheval bedroom mirror was also lost. We were reimbursed for this item, but the heirloom is now gone.
- Over $4,300 in damages to personal property were incurred during the move-out with White Glove Movers, as well as during the cleaning process at Servpro’s facility in Hiawatha, Iowa. Although the damages were paid, this further supports our opinion that their sub-contractors and employees lacked the expertise required in dealing with vintage and antique personal property - see photos attached.
- A water leak in the kitchen ceiling damaged newly installed drywall due to a sub-contractor failing to properly install a water line
- The side entrance to the home was secured by a pole affixed to the base of the door for 2.5 years before a new door was finally installed.
We received the final invoice on 11/15/23 from the General Manager, although no final inspections had yet been completed by the City of Cedar Rapids Building Department. This was quickly brought to his attention, and it was made clear that no payment would be remitted until there was proof of passed inspections. As one would expect, the inspections happened quickly since payment was being withheld. Interestingly, this was our first communication with the company’s General Manager over the course of 32 months and it was made blatantly clear that interest would accrue if the bill was not paid within 30 days. How unfortunate that this same sense of urgency was nonexistent throughout the restoration process.
One would have to question the 56% increase in costs from the initial dwelling claim estimate to the actual invoice. It is quite astounding that the final invoice was 18% more than the actual assessed value of the home. We find it ironic that in the community we live in multiple homes have been built from the ground up in much less time than it took SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids to complete the restoration of our home. To ensure that other consumers are not burdened with the experience that we endured, we suggest that you consider the following:
1. Take the time to read the ROBARB, LLC dba SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids contract thoroughly. If you don’t understand the language, have an attorney review it for you. It will be money well spent. If you or your attorney have any hesitation at all, take your business elsewhere.
2. If it is an insurance claim-related repair and your insurance provider insists this company be used to perform the work, we strongly advise you to create a service agreement addendum that outlines dates for completion and monetary penalties for failure to meet those deadlines. If SERVPRO refuses to sign your service agreement addendum, take your business elsewhere. Before you engage in a contract with this company, request the names, addresses, and phone numbers of all subcontractors that will be involved in your project. Confirm with them their availability and work history with SERVPRO. If they cannot provide this information, take your business elsewhere.
3. Demand the construction/remodel restoration credentials for all SERVPRO employees assigned to your project, as well as references from clients for work they have completed. If they cannot or will not provide these credentials and references, take your business elsewhere.
4. If your insurance provider insists that you use ROBARB, LLC dba SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids, remind them that YOU are the customer and then take your business elsewhere.
5. In our experience, the spoken and written words of our project manager as well as the owner of SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids proved to be consistently unreliable. In hindsight, we should have taken our business elsewhere.
6. A formal complaint was filed with SERVPRO’S corporate headquarters in Gallatin, TN, only to be deferred back to the local franchisee. Be aware that SERVPRO INDUSTRIES, INC. prioritizes supporting their local franchisee rather than their paying customer. Take your business elsewhere.
We have documented communications with ROBARB, LLC dba SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids, including emails, photos, and videos of the multiple challenges our family has faced since March 31, 2021, but anticipate that this business will have contradictory responses to our testimonial. However, the facts remain. It took this company 32 months to complete a project that they committed to our father would take 6-9 months. Their Facebook page immediately removed the option to post reviews after ours was posted.
We say all of this to create awareness for consumers. If a natural disaster or any unexpected catastrophic event impacts your family, take the time to thoroughly consider all your options. ROBARB, LLC dba SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids may tout themselves as trusted leaders in the restoration industry with promises to return your property to “like it never even happened” condition but be prepared for a journey that will leave you questioning the capabilities of this business, as well as their ethics.
In our opinion, this company is a high-dollar carpet cleaning business, at best. They lack the competency, expertise, and organizational skills required to perform restoration and remodeling services. Their slick advertising proclaiming their ability to provide these services is blatantly misleading. We are steadfast honoring our father’s legacy. He was a lifelong Cedar Rapidian and proud WWII Veteran who entrusted and believed that ROBARB, LLC dba SERVPRO of Cedar Rapids had the utmost concern for our situation and would complete the repairs of his home in a timely manner. He came from a generation that entrusted people to follow through with what they said they would do. If our parents and grandparents were alive today, they would be demoralized by what has transpired over the past three years. Please share this review with those who may benefit from it.

Well, this company did restoration on our home about it took about 6 months. It's about what it took them to get done and they told us over and over and over that it'd be done. You know by the end of the week and then another week went by. And they knew that my grandfather was waiting to come home, they had my grandparents in a motel room for almost 6 months but they prolonged it by far. Then they ripped them off on top of that and on top of all that they kept telling us it'd be done next week next week, well, guess what? My grandpa died in that motel room. The simple fact is, they lied to us multiple times, said be done the following Sunday and then they said be done the following Sunday, they didn't put the floor down the right.
They put a used door in the bathroom and replaced it with another used door, they did not do anything correctly. They pretty much ripped grandparents completely off. And my Grandpa died in the motel room and my Grandma got to come back. The week after he died. Then they stood here in the kitchen and told my Grandma that they would make sure that the door would be replaced in the bathroom and that the things that were not done be fixed, would make sure it's done. So they signed off the check and of course, they never came back and fixed a thing. They used door trim for trim throughout the whole house cut so many corners. It's unreal. They didn't even properly do the bathroom. I can put picks on if anybody liked to see them. All I know is this company is horrible. They lie and cheat.
If I was you I wouldn't hire them. Also, that was paid to put a brand new furnace in, they sent somebody out here to put the furnace in and guess what the furnace is leaking water everywhere. The bathroom is leaking water already everywhere. I'm in this just. I can't believe this is happening. This was a brand new furnace, especially after you know, my Grandma's husband just died. They're gonna still cut them corners and just totally ripped off. I mean the furnace now. We don't even know what to do about it. There's water leaking out of it everywhere and it's. They were paid to put a brand new furnace in. So you tell me, is that right for a furnace? You know a month after they did the work for it to be leaking water everywhere. Is it right for them to come here and not complete the job? Not fixing things that they by all rights should be fixing. I guess just goes to show you how crooked these people actually are.

Main sewer line collapsed and has to be replaced. My insurance (homeowners) has contract with Servpro to do cleanup from backup of sewage in my basement. I am a senior, disabled adult. To say I have been to hell and back dealing with all different people/companies in order to take care of this issue of cleanup and replacement of main sewer line in front yard is putting it mildly!!! I have only now read ALL the terrible reviews for Servpro. Had I known how difficult and rude they were while trying to get cleanup, I NEVER would have gone with them.
My home in uninhabitable right now, as I cannot run any water(no toilet…no shower, etc). They must have called me 5 times within first 2 days of claim being initiated!! State Farm has me in a decent hotel until I can get new sewer line installed. The excavation company that “I” chose has been exemplary and even though they are booked out 3 weeks, they have worked me in…(7 days from when I first contacted them.) $10000.00. But I have to have a home to live in. Communication is virtually nonexistent with Servpro. I drove all the way over (with my little Maltese sitting in my lap) on the interstate yesterday, as I was told they would start cleanup. 2 “kids” in their 20s met me at front door. I asked them where their cleaning equipment was. “We are here to inspect (mitigation). No cleanup!!
This whole terrible experience of having to replace sewer line has been a nightmare…dealing with sooo many different people. State Farm, I thought would help me out more, but I received the following, as far as cleanup: “we have nothing to do with that… you need to contact your adjuster in Atlanta”. I have been in contact with adjuster concerning this issue over a half dozen times. So, as agreed finally (after insisting supervisor come to my home yesterday) they instructed me to leave my back entrance unlocked, so they could gain access first thing in the morning. I was leery, but agreed, since I had an early am appt. With my physical therapist who is trying his best to get me to point where I can “get out of bed in am, without falling down immediately). I severely injured 2 discs in lower back…herniated.
To make a long story short, they had me so worked up and in tears yesterday, I left back screen door unlocked, but “out of habit”, accidentally locked main door. I am home now, waiting for callback from young gal that I have been working with (State Farm adjuster in Atlanta). No wonder ServPro is advertising constantly on tv!! I went through the terrible derecho that hit 1/3 of Iowa… I was unlucky enough to be smack dab in its path with 105 mph straightline winds uprooting trees and power poles..live wires on top to all the tree debris…streets impassable. $50,000 damage to my home in Aug 2020. I had Nationwide insurance at the time.
That awful disaster I had to deal with was NOTHING compared to now… having to deal with ServPro!!! Their lack of communication, not to mention the “attitudes” of their service employees is pathetic and inexcusable! I know that I will have to pay out of my own pocket (living of S.S. Check, month to month), in order to get a decent company to do the cleanup in basement. This is covered with State Farm but only with Servpro…NO!!!! Save yourself the aggravation and time..choose another company!!!!

I survived a dam break, destruction of my community, shady contractors, even squatters. ServPro in Saginaw was barely better. After a water leak in my walls caused major damage to five rooms, my insurance company called in ServPro to pack and store that which can be saved, toss what couldn't be saved, tear out all the moldy materials, remediate the mold, etc.
I was grateful at first, but there were also a whole lot of red flags. The on-site manager was rude and abrasive, though I tolerate a lot. At one point, I couldn't believe his audacity at commenting about the potential for water to be coming from competing sources. He tore out two more rooms to dispel his theory.
There was brand-new WPC flooring throughout the house. They threw out all of it from five rooms, even rooms that had no damage. That was $10,500 in flooring. They decided they didn't want to do the reconstruction because there wasn't enough money in it for them. That added four months onto the renovation. When they finally returned my belongings, several items were broken and my dryer was missing.
After keeping me waiting for over a week while they searched for it, the manager called with "good news and bad news." I never did figure out the good news. The bad news is they can't find my two-year-old Samsung dryer. They were willing to compensate me $250 for it. It's more than three times that to replace it. She kept talking to me about depreciation. Mind you, she admitted her only photo of it had something blocking the brand info and she didn't know the model number. But she found a used dryer somewhere online and decided it was a good measure of the value of my dryer.
She treated me as an ignorant peasant who doesn't understand replacement value, depreciation and ACV. I have an MBA and retired from the US Department of Commerce. I understand her position, but I never agreed to it. This is a franchise, hired by my insurance company. They carted away an expensive item, lost it, and want to get away with compensating pennies on the dollar. When we got off the phone, I left a message for my adjuster. The cost of defending this in court and potential for lost business from my insurance company is significantly higher than the $500 they hope to save on my dryer. How long will they drag this out? Until I take them to court, it appears.

The hose going to the ice maker on my dad's refrigerator cracked and flooded his basement and did a lot of floor damage in a little bit of wall damage around the refrigerator. My 83 yr old father and I did more of the work than the Servpro crew did because it was taking months for them to come out and do anything. He turned in proof of that to the insurance company so that Servpro would not be paid for work they didn't do. And so he could be reimbursed for the items he purchased to do the work. They left the house in a dangerous condition with staples and nails sticking out of floors and walls where they tore up carpet and flooring. They just left ridiculous messes in every single area that they worked in, and we cleaned it up to make it safe for my dad to continue living in home.
They added work to the order that didn't need done and was never done. As an example they said the wall was damaged 3 ft up and had to be removed, but zero drywall work was ever done. They got paid for it drywall replacement. Even though it wasn't damaged and the work was not really done. My dad questioned it over and over again they refused to remove it from the service order and they ended up getting $34k for a few days work. Again, my dad, myself and a neighbor actually did the work.
Everything they told us was lies. It took 7 months for them to close the case, all the while falsely claiming they were here doing work they never did. They haven't even been here in the last 4 months that they claim they were here working. The insurance company assured us they would not be paid for work they did not do but at the end of the day they got every penny plus a lot more. The original claim was for $23,000 and they ended up getting $34,000. And even with all the receipts we saved to show that we did the work which added up to about $1,200 my dad was reimbursed $400.
Servpro claimed they did the work my dad had receipts for and got paid 3x what it really cost, and they didn't even do it! Every single person from the bottom level to the franchise owners were dishonest. And yes I left a very honest review about the insurance company for this as well since they are just as much to blame for paying Servpro as Servpro was for making false claims. My dad had AAA insurance for anyone wondering. This was an absolute nightmare for my dad to go through and he was grossly taken advantage of and in the end was left with a higher premium next year and time and money wasted trying to prevent the premium from going up too high by just doing the work himself.

Awesome crew responded immediately to flooded basement. Talked me through every step; both the guys at my property and the people on the phone. Helped me to understand how the insurance claim process will likely work and recommended reputable contractors to do the work. Office personnel hammered my insurance adjuster with phone calls and emails when they were dragging their feet. Overall a great experience.

So back in April, we had discovered a water leak that slowly dropped straight to the subfloor. Probably been going on for several months. All flooring including the floor joists were wet. Made a claim with my insurance company. They sent out ServPro from the Dallas, TX. Everything seemed legit seeing as how I didn’t know all the proper procedures. They came out May 26th and started their drying process. A month later they are still attempting to dry the subfloor out. We met with the owner and he advised all of our belongings will be stored in a climate control storage facility and they would remove all subfloor and carpet areas (bedrooms).
I’ve spoken to several other people about ServPro’s work. They all asked the same question. "Why has it taken a month to dry out and it still isn’t dried out to normal moisture levels? It only takes 5 days and if it does take longer then they should’ve removed all the wet flooring a lot sooner than 3 weeks into the project. Why haven’t they supplied alternative power supply like a portable generator instead of hooking numerous amounts of equipment to the house?” I sent the owner of the Dallas branch a picture and asked if the 1 x 6 planks are a part of the subfloor. He replied that it was and I asked how come these are still reading off the charts with a moisture meter and haven’t been removed. He informed me that the planks are left and just get dried out. Mind you they’ve been wet for several months and no mention of the company coming out to spray whatever they spray to make sure no black mold is growing in our home.

Well, we definitely got mostly a joke of a Restoration/"Renovation" team, (with a side of competence thanks to the Floor Guy, maybe 2 other Trim Guys, and their separate *Cleaners) - *which we demanded to have after the collective sham of renovations and messes that were left after his team's unprofessionally prepped & uncovered, 2 month long work storm. We have SO many photos and day by day documentation of the head scratching chuckleheaded incompetence, lumpy walls, lopsided door rehangs, unfinished ceiling fan installs and other non follow throughs.
In addition, many months after their work 'was done', come to find out that the plumber they contracted, didn't even attach one of our toilets correctly and we had to get someone else in to redo the job the way it SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE! (New toilet but they didn't replace preexisting 15+yr flange set up or even set/bolt the toilet down properly, etc.) It seems as if the "ServNo" plumber just said, "they'll probably never even notice..." - it was pretty gross all around & we are also surprised that the town's Building Inspector even signed off on everything throughout - that department is our next review. :( We called ServPro's main numbers and left messages for Kevin - but alas, he has not called back to date. Very much still SMH, but have grown to expect the "ServNo crap show." Consumer beware, when choosing ServPro, in Massachusetts anyway.

Servpro attempted to shortchange us with the restoration work. After much haggling and complaining to our insurance the company 'boss' instructed their staff to perform the work they were REQUIRED to do according to the insurance adjustor specifications. Prospective consumers beware!

Do this people know that an apartment that has issues there are living plants? NO! They have no clues and they sucked up all the moisture from them plants and killed them which is unacceptable for professional service. They should know better and act accordingly!

We had a flood in our kitchen and our insurance company recommended Servpro to come out to do the work. They were completely rude, lied to us and the insurance company, overcharged us for what they did poorly, broke everything they touched, charged for stuff they didn’t do, didn’t show up when were supposed to and are money hungry.
When I called they never answered the phone or called me back. I had enough and fired them because the job was only supposed to take 2 weeks but 3 months later they still hadn’t completed the job and on top of that they stole from us. I told them to send an itemized bill of what they did and a copy of the contract I never got because the “manager quit”. It was completely outrageous. I was completely shocked and told her to send me the correct bill and she said it was. They charged me over $14,000 dollars just to tear out my floor and install the new floor that I bought myself (400 sq feet), take care of the mold in the kitchen, touch up paint and replace one of my cabinets. They did more damage than that and they were supposed to buy me a sink, dishwasher, and faucet and pay for me to have someone to put our granite countertops (600 pounds) that they put on the other side of my house.
They said that they gave me credit for all of that but it was still that total. Now they have a bill collection agency calling me saying that I owe them the money. I don’t have a useable kitchen and we are on a fixed income and we don’t make much money. Our insurance company dropped us because of them. We are stuck and can’t find a lawyer. I have proof of everything and I don’t know what to do. We don’t qualify for any kind of help

Had a partially flooded basement 48 hours before hosting Easter. Servpro was out quick to clean up. They grossly overcharged for what they did. Did not do what they were supposed to do. Left me with a mess. While they were out quick and dried everything out, they did not do what was promised.

Servpro did come out right away to pack out my belongings. The company really needs to watch over their employees, as the first crew that came out to knock down my walls and kitchen ceiling, they would ring my doorbell camera and stick their tongue out! Plus the knockdown of kitchen ceiling, someone got destruction happy and out a small hole in my roof. Thank god I went home and it poured out so I noticed it. When I told the one boss, he acted as if it was already there and said we do not fix roofs. Thank god, the carpenters hired for the job fixed it for me! The two ** carpenters were AWESOME!
I had a lot of issues with this company. My main opinion, is to keep track of what your insurance is paying for to the company. I feel they tried to take advantage of me, as I’m a single woman with no one to help me through this process. So just be careful and keep track of everything! I was very very impressed with the cleaning they did of my belongings, when I finally received them. Just OUTRAGEOUS cleaning!

It would be just 1 star but the man that came out for the assessment was fine. The air duct cleaning ppl were supposed to be there at 9:30, it was almost 10 before they arrived. They took a lunch break from 11:30-12:30, multiple smoke breaks, found cig butts on ground. When I went downstairs the guy was just sitting on the sofa. There was mud & dust all over the floor. That night 1 of our plastic vent deflectors fell & broke.

We had an absolutely horrendous treatment by Servpro. It took forever to get a hold of them to do an asbestos test in our house prior to opening the wall and checking for wetness or mold. Servpro rep bore three holes. It took no more than three minutes for him to bore the holes, collect a sample and leave us. It then took us more than a month to try to get a hold of them again to find the results of the test. Eventually, they told us it was negative and sent us a bill for $874! They never sent us an estimate before coming and boring the holes.
When we called them today and asked why they didn't send us an estimate, why it took them two months to do the asbestos testing and release the results, and why they are charging us so much, Servpro told us that they bore 14 holes and we have to pay that amount. When we looked at the holes, we saw no more than three. Then they told us on the phone that they bore six holes. When we pressed them on why they didn't send us an estimate, they said they did -- but we have never received an estimate. Otherwise, we would have shopped for other contractors. Servpro keeps changing its story and lying to us. They treat customers like dirt and charge them astronomical numbers without giving an estimate. This business must be shut down! STAY AWAY FROM SERVPRO AND TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!
