It took Servpro of Chattanooga/Cuthbertson Restoration 6 and one half months to complete our project which should have taken one month at the most according to two licensed inspectors. Very poor business.

Christian and Jesse were timely, courteous not only with me as the customer but with each other. A professional team, who showed concern for my property and time. They have earned my respect and I will definitely use their service again.

These guys only care about getting your money and getting on to the next job, had me pay half up front to "secure" a start day which got pushed back multiple times. They wouldn't answer a phone call or ever let me know what was going on, took on more "emergency" jobs on the days they were supposed to be at my house and didn't let me know, told me they'd do a duct cleaning job when they were done with the mold and insulation removal but once they got done with the insulation told me they were too busy and to look somewhere else for the duct cleaning. They had no communication at all with us for any planning, were renting equipment from Menards that had issues, didn't have their own tools to fix the issues they had.
Was told multiple times they would call me back with a plan within the hour and wouldn't hear anything for days, they said they weren't getting my phone calls or voice-mails. But they could send me the bill in the mail no problem. Wouldn't recommend using these guys to anyone. Project manager was a nightmare to deal with. I went with these guys because I was told they would be there a few days after I called for the first time but it ended up taking 3 weeks. They got the job done well, it just took them forever and was a major hassle. Good luck.

I had ServPro McKinney TX clean up after some water leaked into the house into several rooms. They estimated it would take between 3-5 days of 25 high speed fans and 2 dehumidifiers at a cost of $3000-$5000. It took exactly 3 days (72 hours) and I expected the cost to be about $3000, but the cost was almost $4000. Alexis at their office was quite stern and unbending about the cost--a bit rude. I will look elsewhere if I have water leak problems again.

ServPro was hired to repair water damage from a leaking roof. They caused more damage than needed to be repaired. They didn't even do all work that they said was going to be done. Full ceilings were not resurfaced as quoted, only a minimal area and with a different paint sheen, so it's completely obvious where they touched. Same with the walls and baseboards. Walls were damaged from removing baseboards and never fixed. Paints don't match on walls. They never did mold removal and didn't reinsulate attic space where water damage was.
Broke the dishwasher seal and improperly reinstalled it. Broke the stove's gas line causing a leak and the gas to be turned off. Was without a stove for 3 days until that was repaired by ourselves. Didn't properly remove old laminate flooring before laying the cheap vinyl they sold us on. You can now feel all the imperfections right through the new floor. Poorly pained a room that didn't even need to be touched, all to compensate the overpriced quoted work they did. Every wall that was painted was done so with a different sheen of paint so all touch ups show. Paint on trim, ceiling, cabinets, door, and new floor.
We were left for 3 weeks with no floor and open walls and all of the material and equipment scattered around the house until they were able to come back out and complete the work. All of this while we were trying to live and function in our home. They sent one guy to do the entire job, and after 1 week of demolition we were told he wouldn't return for another 3 weeks to finish because they are currently understaffed, leaving us to live and function with the mess he created and the material and tools he left behind. I would never recommend this company and their shoddy work. Completely dissatisfied.

The SERVPRO of Morton Grove/East Niles 7125 N Austin Ave Niles, IL 60714 sent by my insurance company to came to my rental property to do the work on 2/9/2022 and they cracked and chipped the ceramic tiles along the T-molding in my bathroom when either trying to remove the T-molding between the bathroom and the hardwood floor in the hallway or trying to cut out the hardwood floor in the hallway along the T-molding. The franchise owner denied his responsibility right away and was not even trying to find out what really happened when I made a complaint to SERVPRO. The photos that my tenant took before and after SERVPRO did the work show that it was SERVPRO damaged the ceramic tiles in the bathroom. The SERVPRO has done more damage at my property than helped.

Do not call or talk to this company they are the most dishonest company that I have ever dealt with. My house burnt in November of 2020. The insurance company had us get in contact with Servpro of E. Clackamas. They came right over to the house and that is when the lies began, they told us that there would be 2 people working on the house all the time. But most of the time there was only one person. It was downhill from there. We were lied to all the time. They would not give a work schedule or an estimate of how much money they had spent until they were almost done, and then they informed us that we were $30,000.00 over the insurance amount. They had doubled the cost of items and added costs into the amount that I did not understand, and I was told that was if they had to come back and redo any work.
There were items like finish carpenter which there was no finish carpenter on site. The people that Servpro had on site had never done work like this. They installed doors, windows painted the walls and ceiling which they screwed up. I do not know anything about house painting, so I was depending on them to know what paint to use which they didn't. They did not know that you only use flat sheen on sloped ceilings. So, they repainted the ceiling 2 or 3 time before they were told to only use flat sheen paint worked on sloped ceilings. They installed 7 interior doors and all of them had something wrong with them, 2 of them had to be redone. They also installed 8 windows which 5 windows was reinstalled 2 times before they were correct and 2 only had to reinstalled 1 and only 1 window was OK.
We were out of our house until August of 2021. But when we moved back in, we could only use the master bedroom, which wasn't complete, the kitchen, and dining room. The rest of the house wasn't done enough that we could move into it. We lost out on deals for furniture because they would not tell us when we could move in totally. So here it is March the 11, 2022 and it is still not done, and they want us to pay for the poor work that has been done.
If all Servpro is like E. Clackamas don't use them, you will be sorry. Insurance companies need to stop recommending Servpro to the clients. Servpro inflates their cost by double which makes the insurance having to pay for the work that is done. If we had been able to get an outside contractor, we would have been able to stay within the insurance amount. But not being able to tell then when the house would be ready to rebuild, we were unable to do that. Again, all I can say DO NOT USE SERVPRO.

The owner kept telling me that work crews were at my house working but each time he didn't tell the truth, nothing got done at all. When questioned about lack of service he quit the contract. The first day they took all my clothes, shoes and rugs. They were returned weeks after that filthy dirty. Beware of this company as they promised for a quick service but don't put out. I am now in a dirty unhealthy house with my pets looking for someone else to help me. They seem to have plenty of workers to come out to do that which profits them the most like delivery of air scrubbers and textile cleaning which happens immediately and then they leave you hanging. They also report to your insurance company about losses and minimize them so you don't get the money to replace all that you work for.

ServPro was contacted on or around 1/4, I believe, regarding an insurance claim for water damage in my basement due to sewage overflow from a neighbor's house. They were contacted to restore/repair damage in basement including floor tile, washer and dryer, bathroom vanity, walls, etc.. The project manager, Stephen **, quoted me around 10k ballpark to restore/repair items previously mentioned as well as mitigation, we spoke in person on 1/6, I believe, dates may be off.
On 1/11, we spoke again over the phone, he then quoted me around 11k in total just for mitigation, no repairs included for items mentioned above.. It appears the company is attempting to utilize 100% of insurance cap, which is 10k, for themselves and leave me with nothing for repairs.. I believe from experience, Stephen knew insurance cap would be 10k, thus quoted me that amount in person, then turned around and quoted me 11k over the phone, not including my repairs.. As stated before, it appears the company is attempting to take 10k for themselves, leave me with a damaged basement..

State Farm recommended this company when I had water damage from a leak. They told me I wouldn’t have to worry as State Farm would handle the bill. When all was said and done they paid me less than the bill and left me to handle it so I went through the bill with a fine tooth comb. Not only were all measurements off but about 10 or more sq ft, but they claimed they pulled up 36 sq feet of flooring and didn’t even pull up more than 1 sq ft. They cut all the way through sub flooring so we had to reinforce our floors, it deep gouges in the hall after pulling up tile, bent the frame in the drop ceiling, all costing us a lot of work and money. I do not recommend this company.

DO NOT CALL SERVPRO. DO NOT TRUST THESE FOLKS and franchise owners. They have left our family in worse shape than the original small area of water damage. Untrained workers, brought in by untrained supervisor, leads to disasters and far more damage than you can imagine. They have left wet insulation, damaged appliances, granite tiles in our sink and garbage disposal, completely cutting our sub floors past joist, resulting in even further damages. They conducted an Asbestos test in a piece of linoleum left under the dishwasher. The results came back Positive, The following day a new supervisor and more untrained workers came into our home disrupted the entire flooring, including the positive patch of asbestosis. They failed to seal any and all of our cabinets, pantry, window, HVAC contaminated leaving everything covered in dust and debris.
Each day that passed, I called to let them know things were not going well here and we needed to have support, when they finally sent one of their lead estimators/contractors from their restoration company to look at the damage, he agreed something should be done and this should not have happened to our home. That was the last I heard from ServPro. While waiting on estimate from our contractor for repairs, in the span of 20 days, and after receiving monies from insurance, they will threaten you with a lien on your property for non payment. 20 DAYS! The entire process is NOT worth the corporate name. They closed shop, left town and are desperate. There is so much more that has transpired, but in short this corporation should stand by their word, regardless if these folks left town. IF a McDonald's franchise is sued, they are suing McDonalds and the franchise owner. This is no different.

This company was recommended by the adjuster for Farmers Ins. They came in and tore up carpet, tore off wallpaper and threw all the objects in the bathroom into the bathtub which put lots of little holes into the tub. They replaced the carpet. Put a seam in the carpet where it shouldn’t be. Left raw edges where they capped the stairs. Originally wanted us to pick from office type carpeting. Never did the walls that they were supposed to do. Replaced ceiling in kitchen but painted before dry and didn’t prime spots with Kilz. Note their back and the tape to seal the seams is coming off. Able to see a spot the whole way around the replaced dry wall.
There is more mold above the tub. The wall boards were never replaced and rotted along with being exposed to sewage. They never did anything with the walls after they tore off wallpaper which was also in the paperwork to be done. It was a mess. Nothing got done with complaints to their company or to Farmers Ins. Farmers has very misleading commercials and so does Servpro.

If doing business with Servpro DO NOT trust them. Get everything in writing from measurements, to colors, everything they are going to do right down to the products they are going to use. Better yet just stay away from them. Our homeowners insurance is through USAA subcontracted to Foremost. An insurance claim was initiated Jan. 14, 2021. Insurance agent handling claim is Robert ** in Grand Rapids, MI. Phone number **. Claim number **. A company was hired by our insurance to clean and repair damage. This company is Servpro, 651 Expressway Ct, Gaylord, MI 49735 Phone: (989) 705-2400. Servpro, **, arrived at our home and began work to assess, dry out and pack our belongings on January 16, 2021. We moved into temporary housing on February 10, 2021. After packing and drying was done our house sat for 7 weeks with absolutely no work being done. This was just the beginning of our problems.
Insulation that was removed and placed in back of truck blew all over north side of yard and onto neighbors property. Servpro did not clean that up, my neighbor and I did. Our master bath was painted the wrong color, Servpro fixed that. I found a weak spot in new subfloor, Servpro fixed that. On June 9, 2021 I went to my home as I do daily to feed chickens and Servpro workers were there beginning cabinet installation in kitchen. I told them to stop because all the cabinets were dark grey instead of the white they were supposed to be. I also noticed that new flooring in kitchen is not wall to wall as it was previously, it is only to where about two inches will be under cabinets. I previously spoke with painter about holes still in walls that were not patched prior to painting and was told they did not patch those because cabinets should cover them.
I had ceramic tile and wood laminate floors but chose to go with all vinyl to help get the job done sooner. I also chose cabinets they supposedly have in stock to help speed up the process but as I said previously they brought in the wrong color. I believe I heard one of the workers on the phone with ** say something about spray paint. If they are planning to paint cabinets this is not acceptable. I do not want grey cabinets painted white, I want white cabinets. I asked one of the workers what ** said when he called him and he said that all ** said was oh no, that's not good. I just spoke with ** the project manager with Servpro and he insists I said gray and that he has texts showing I said gray. I have all my texts with Servpro and not once did I say the word gray. We did a design with Pointe Cabinets and Design in Gaylord MI, my husband was there along with ** and the lady who works there. I called her and even she is lying and saying I said gray. She even commented that I said I wanted gray because of my dogs, this is not true!
In a four days this process will be at the five month mark. We could have had a new manufactured home installed in that amount of time and it probably would have cost less. I mentioned this to ** who agreed and said he wished they could do that but that Michigan puts so many restrictions on insurance companies their hand are tied.

My insurance company immediately dispatched Servpro in Martinsville Virginia. They came in and immediately went to work. Explained everything to me and assured me that they would take care of everything and they did. This group of people were awesome! Professional!! Courteous!!!! They tell you it's for your safety- however they want to get you out of there as fast as they can so you don't remember what the hell you had. Then they swoop it up. They tell you they'll take jewelry over here and have it clean. The electronics go here and have it clean. This will be over here. Your documents will dry. They tell you that there's a place for everything and they're going to get it back to you like it never happened... That's exactly what happens like it never happened because they never do a damn thing.
Servpro I worked with claims that he doesn't know anything about that. What jewelry he says... What Electronics??? $30,000 worth of stereo/computer equipment- and a home theater? We didn't notice that when we were in here cleaning up... They promise they will get your things to the appropriate location and back to you within 36 hours... They lost my passport... And claimed they knew nothing about it... They took a lifetime worth of documents that they promised to attempt to dry out and get back to you and they don't have a record of it- because they don't want to deal with it! However they will not let you have it because then- if you become involved you become very aware of what they're doing.
I was promised that Servpro owned their own construction company that was going to come in and rebuild for me. They said that I'd be back in my home in 2 months. During those two months they never went back to my house. They never did anything. He's still sitting there empty... When I call them they claim it's because I haven't paid them?
They're supposed to get paid from the insurance company not me... Yet they called frantically you need to pay us you need to pay us... Like I'm some sort of low-hanging fruit like that they can take advantage of. Their attempt at gaslighting me did not work. I told him that poor planning on his part did not constitute an emergency on mine. They wanted $15,000 for a cleanup and another $25, 000 so they could buy cabinets... It's my fault that they haven't been in there to rebuild because I haven't paid my bill. This is so screwed up on so many levels I just stopped communicating.
Talk about a bunch of malignant narcissist all attempting to incite fear on the victim. They know that if you're damaged or broken enough from having lost everything that you will do exactly what they tell you to because you put your life in their hands. They made sure of that. 10 minutes after the fire was out that I had signed a document that said, "We will take care of everything... We are here for you and we will get you through this." Nothing could have been further from the truth.
There's a class action lawsuit where hundreds of thousands of people have stood in line to sue both Servpro and State Farm because they've teamed up and then they went one step further by telling you that they also have a handy dandy contracting company that's affiliated with them that doesn't exist... I read thousands and thousands of documents that people wrote about their experience with these fraudulent companies. They did get a settlement eventually, however shortly after they were fined and warned that committing another felony by teaming up together was not an option- they did so again. They actually teamed up again the three of them and are back at it. Apparently it was so lucrative that it doesn't matter how badly damaged their reputation is because people trust them when they've lost everything.
Google State Farm to see how good of an insurance company they are and your mouth will drop. By far and away they are the leading failure amongst insurance companies. I lost hundreds of thousands of dollars to this day that I'm aware of, and I'm willing to almost walk away from all of it just to get away from these people it's so toxic. If I have to live on food stamps and public housing then I'll do it because I'm never going to get anything from these people of any substance. As time goes on they become more and more abusive and neglectful...
I've called hundreds of attorneys and apparently this is a subspecialty- bad faith claims, that no one really is educated enough to take on. I'm not saying it's not lucrative, they just don't want to do it... It takes a lot of time and a lot of really powerful lawyers to pull off a successful class action lawsuit. You'd think since they're doing it again that the payout was so good the first time that the lawyers would be standing in line begging for you to come to them so that they could be a part of it... That's not the case they don't want to get involved... It's like no one cares that you exist.
The very people that you hope that are going to be on your team should a disaster strike are the people that rob you blind... It's the most insidious crap I've ever had the displeasure of experiencing. They charged $15,000 for this service- actually all they did was go in and steal my stuff and then charge me for the stealing... I got a $600 bill for the construction dumpster that they used to put all my belongings in so they could drive it away... Fabulous!!!
It seems that all the high dollar items are the ones they have no clue about. The exhaustive list of items that they say they documented are things like: six boxes of generic Jell-O... Three boxes of generic Kleenex from the dollar store. Hundreds of pages like this adding up to be nothing... They don't show you that before they charge the $15,000 though they want you to think that they've got everything handled and that it's all coming back to you nicely and neatly as soon as these other people that they've hired get their ** together. It's never their fault.
The reality is there was never a jeweler, there was never an electronics guy, there was never a document salvaging crew, there wasn't anything except a huge construction dumpster that was loaded with my entire life- that they took home to their families no doubt... It was only when I said I made a police report, and I called a lawyer, that my wedding ring all of a sudden turned up... Ironic isn't it?
Stay as far away from these malignant narcissists as possible... It wasn't losing everything in the fire that has worn me down, it is not 14 months of being immune compromised- and locked up because of a pandemic that his warn me down, it is the response to the loss- That is the loss. Turns out stuff is just stuff... People on the other hand, are monsters. The pandemic been lucrative for them. They blame everything on it must be the pandemic but the jeweler hasn't gotten back to me... If you're wondering- oh god this lady is crazy??? Just google State Farm and Servpro and read about what they have done to their victims... I don't believe in hell- but if there were a place called hell- oh there'd be a special front row seat for these people!!!

After a disastrous house fire, the insurance company arranged for Servpro to stabilize and mitigate the building, and suggested we also hire them for reconstruction, which we did. This was a huge job, removing and replacing all the drywall, plaster, floor and much of the subfloor, electrical, plumbing, mechanical. Servpro took care of everything, hiring a general contractor who in turn brought in subs as needed. I found them helpful and communicative, staying in touch throughout the process and respecting our preferences in the numerous decisions necessary.
They were also constructive in dealing with cranky building inspectors. They also handled the cleaning of furniture, books, and some of the other contents. Recovering from a house fire is a miserable experience, but could have been much worse without their help. I asked Josh if he had a recommendation for a second opinion and two days later a 2nd expert was at my house to confirm the estimated misdiagnosis and properly determine the problem.
Josh's communication has been superior. He and every member of his team have been friendly and responsive. I manage a sales team of over 100 and know how hard it is to get and keep good talent. In the future when I am asked for a contractor referral Josh ** and his team at Servpro will be my go to guys. Thank you for the intro and for making the choice to have him and his team helping us in the condo complex. Happy holidays!

My house had water damage in two areas on May 5th. It is now November 24th (over 6 months) and my house is still not fixed. The mitigation team from Servpro was great. They were done in a timely manner. The restoration team has been a nightmare to work with. No one contacted me for at least two weeks after the restoration was completed. Then had to wait another 2 weeks for the lead contractor to come out just to look. Then I'm told they are behind, and it could be a few weeks before they get started. Keep in mind, it's not insurance holding them up. I have already received the insurance break down of what they will pay and a check for that amount. I even offered to pay what I had that day to get this started (at this point I had no stove, kitchen sink, or dishwasher). They also received the same information from the insurance company, but I had to send it again on June 10th because they claimed they didn't get it.
They finally send out some flooring people and cabinet people to get estimates. Then nothing for a month. They send their #2 guy that says he doesn't know anything the first guy did, and they basically have to start over. July 10th, I have to resend all the information the insurance has already sent them. Two weeks later, the #2 guy sends out new flooring and cabinet people to make new estimates. The flooring lady sets a date for me to come pick the flooring. Then I'm told, no, that has to wait because they have not sent her a budget. The #2 guy says it's not included in the insurance estimate. I resend it. My insurance lady resent it. It was on the original file the whole time. Nothing is being fixed this whole time.
By July 31st the #1 guy is back on the case and says they are behind. Then days later, I have to contact them again to ask what is going on (3 months into this mess). End of August, I reach out again. The only thing completed was some dry wall at this point. The bathroom is completely ripped up (no tub, shower, sink, toilet...nothing). My counter is being held up with 2 by 4s, no flooring at all in the kitchen. No one contacted me again until October 2 (a Friday) to go look at flooring. I go the very next day. At this point, I have already moved out of the house because despite their slowness, I have to continue my life. I have a co-worker house sitting, because I can't rent a torn up house. I have to give him some notice before I show up to look at the floors. The flooring company is closed Sunday. As soon as I can on Monday, I send them my flooring choices.
October 24th, the flooring lady apologizes for not getting back to me with the total cost (now over 5 months into this). After it's all finally settled, I pay the difference for an upgrade in flooring to be told it'll be a few weeks before they can start. It is now 11/24 still waiting on my house to be put back together. I'm paying two mortgages because I can't rent and not sure if it'll even be fixed by the end of the year.
I call to complain to be told that it's basically my fault for not moving fast enough on the flooring, I didn't complain sooner, and that I should have cancelled with them back in August if I was unhappy. What?? I was supposed to foresee how slow they'd be in August? Why would I assume that? And that's your answer to being ridiculously slow? It's the customer's fault for not complaining loudly enough sooner? They are overpriced, no negotiation, beyond slow, and gas-lighting customers for THEIR inadequacy. Would never recommend.

After an exceptionally bad snow, we had water and ice damage in our attic space. Our insurance company suggested we get someone out to dry everything out so we called ServPro to get a quote. The supervisor was supposed to call us back to talk to us but instead showed up to our door on a Saturday. They charged us for an after-hours trip when we did not request that. We didn't even receive a copy of the contract until after everything was complete and they had invoiced us. The communication during the entire fiasco was terrible and I let them know as we went along. They schedule in windows of time and didn't disclose that after 5 pm it's at an after-hour's rate! Terrible unethical company that takes advantage of people in need of help. They bet on the insurance companies picking up the bill without questioning anything.

They had to remove trim but carpet would be saved. All my trim was disposed of without my knowledge. Also they rolled up the carpet improperly and I had to rent a carpet stretcher to fix this. I was also overcharged 1000. It took over 2 weeks to finish my job. Why I was never told. I also complained to the President. No answer. Finally filed a complaint with my Attorney General. Hopefully I will get reimbursed.

Coping Tactics; cameras and recording devices, never leave your home when they are on the property, observe inventory, get copies of all, never let them haul off your stuff. Never get harassed into donating your labor to support the claim. These as a minimum will save you a lot of grief, tears and lost sleep. The loss of treasured family items are like a violation of your deceased loved ones (they did pay for two items, but the items are gone forever, then there are other items that are gone that one doesn't know about until you need them and they are not here anymore). Mine was a smallish job, a bathtub flood in a 2 bedroom duplex. While the mitigation and tear down phases went very well, when the job was handed off to the restoration crew it all fell apart. First of all, the way they have compartmentalized their functional arms seems disjointed and led to some communication snafus. Secondly, the estimator and lead for their restoration effort was completely disinterested and incompetent. After 2 weeks of no start, I was told the hang up was tile: no longer available at Lowe's. So I picked a reasonable substitute via email that would take a week to come in.
In the meanwhile, I presumed carpet, wall board and subfloor could start. Alas, not so. The estimator could not locate any contractors and could not start for another 3 weeks out. My tenant at this point had been out of her home for nearly a month. I went to Lowe's and found the exact tile in stock and bought it. Fired Servpro and hired another company who said they could do the job within a week. Frankly, I don't think Servpro cared. I was lied to again and again until the relationship became dysfunctional. End of story.

This company not only damaged furniture (dropped a mahogany desk over a upstairs landing) had to replace flooring they put down as it all popped up, took things from our home (they refused to return them unless we signed their release paper). Dragged the project on for almost 3 years. Would leave our job to do work elsewhere as our insurance company had paid them in full at the beginning, so they would take on other new jobs, leaving ours unfinished. Stole items from kitchen cabinets. When we returned to our home all the items from our kitchen (dishes, glassware) were gone. Broke items (Waterford crystal).
Another was a mirror that was handed down in our family for generations. They took pieces of the mirror with the promise that they would find someone to repair it. It had etching on it. When we asked for the return of the pieces so we could find someone to repair the mirror, they declined the return. The same was for our brass sconces from the entryway to our home.
They removed our Mahogany desk without our permission when we were gone and refused to return it. There was nothing wrong with the desk. The desk was part of a 3 piece set and they said they planned on replacing all 3 pieces. We got a quote from where we purchased the exact set and submitted it. They never acknowledged it. We finally told them we would be happy with just the return of the desk they took and also the return of our glass mirror pieces and the brass sconces. We got an email back saying that nothing would be returned unless we signed their release paper. Isn't this a form of blackmail? I have all emails along with documentation. The job was handled very unprofessionally. When one of the managers wanted to know if the Port-a-Potty's had been picked up he emailed my wife "has anyone picked up the ** yet?" My wife tried very hard to work along with these people with praise whenever possible.
Please, please beware if you are thinking of taking the chance of hiring this company. My wife and I are senior citizens and myself am a retired Veteran of 25 yrs in the USMC. Our health is not good and this company knew it. They drag the repair of our home for almost 3 years as they had already been paid by our insurance company. This has been one of the worst experiences of a lifetime. We came to Florida to retire and enjoy the golden years but came to this disaster instead. Please email me if you wish for any documentation.

The next day it rained and it leaked like a sieve. I called Servpro. They said they would have someone come out. They never showed. After calling them five more times that week a guy from Servpro called and asked what the problem was. I told him that the tarp they put on was leaking very bad doing more damage to the inside of the house. He said he would be out within an hour. He never showed.
After getting a contractor to come out and re tarp the roof the guy from Servpro called me and said that we owed them $2,500 for them putting the tarp on. I told him there was no way I was paying that that because the tarp leaked. It cost me another $2,000 in damages to the floors and walls on the inside of the house. Never got a bill or heard from them until almost a year later they sent me a bill for $687. I don't know what's going on with this company but it will be a cold day in hell before I pay them a penny.

Items were broken like a Barrister shelf, my mother's china, keepsakes and many other items. They lied, cheated, overcharged and in general did not do what they were hired for. They charged insurance good monies for projects that were not complete.
We were told everything would come back clean and ready to be put into our home. I have photos of items that they did not touch and came back with ash all over them. Now they boxed so messy. Stuff just thrown in boxes and yes even wet stuff was thrown in boxes that I’m still going through. The plastic totes that were boxed with mine and my son's stuff neatly that water couldn’t even touch being in a plastic tote they had gone through all that stuff and threw in boxes. Nothing is neat.
Then they would put all this heavy wooden silver wear on top of fragile stuff at the bottom of box stuff that was not broken is broken. All my son's big toys that doesn’t break apart easy that was left together they took apart and parts thrown everywhere. We are still going through stuff and I’m so disappointed and heartbroken that a company you pay for to take care and treat your stuff like it was their own did not. Sentimental stuff that was packed in plastic tote is now thrown in boxes and half the stuff is broke. It’s a shame a company has people that works like this.
When they had it boxed and out in containers they tried bringing the stuff back in without even scrubbing and cleaning. There was mold still on walls and in cracks. Bringing furniture back in with mold before cleaning was wrong. We have gone round and round. Just a clear warning. Do research before hiring a company to take care of your belongings and make sure you watch every little thing they do. I could keep going on and on but I think y’all get the picture. We also didn’t get to see everything they threw away like they said we would so also a lot of sentimental stuff was probably trashed. They broke so much stuff that was not even broken before. No fewer than 5 people showed up to haul out equipment. I left the home only to return an hour or so later to find just one person extracting water.
I later found out that the local owner made the unilateral decision without consulting myself not to extract water remaining upstairs on the exposed Advantech subflooring, which later froze that day and turned into a skating rink. Then to top off this substandard experience, they charged my credit card $ 150 for "cleaning their equipment". Please make sure to check if they are a preferred contractor of your insurance company before using them! My experience with this company has been deceitful and horrendous. My upstairs bathroom flooded and leaked down to my kitchen and living room. I panic and called ServPro who seems very willingly to help. They informed me they worked with Liberty Mutual before so I trusted both parties that I was in good hand. I proceeded with ServPro after receiving authorization from my insurance. Confident that pricing was going to be settled between ServPro and Liberty Mutual since I informed them both that I would like all cost to be covered by my insurance. I was kept out of the loop with pricing from both parties until work was completed.
Little did I know that ServPro did not share their pricing fee with the insurance company. I signed a blank authorization form for them to begin the work with the understanding from their technician and company that they will be within the insurance pricing parameter. This was not the case. I am slapped with a large remaining balance blindsided. They are now threatening to file small claims and put a lien on my home. This is very unethical. Pricing should have been discussed and agreed before any work is conducted. Pricing should have been disclosed! If you have pride in your company and is doing what is right, why did you not disclose your pricing structure knowing it was different then what the insurance will pay out since you’ve worked with them before?

I have hundreds of emails going back and forth with the owner Dion and his unprofessional nasty sister that runs the office Julie. They put charges on their invoices for services never performed. I had to go through the whole invoice and send them 5 pages of services listed that they never did. A 2 week job turned into a nightmare that took them over 2 months to finish. I have never ever dealt with such an unprofessional company.
After they acknowledged discrepancies on their invoice and I had to hold their payment from the insurance company until they send a revised one those scammers put a lien on the house for nonpayment meanwhile I was asking for over 2 weeks for a revised invoice and supporting invoices that they didn't want to send over. The reason they didn't want to send it over is because they are SCAMMERS charging for services never performed and the only way they were able to do this lien (online) was because they have their company in other states. Again they are scammers. Their lien held no weight in NYC. They are a nightmare. I have emails backing up everything. I am warning people save yourself the stress from these scammers. You will regret hiring this company. The only reason they are acknowledged is because the owner Dion goes to natural disaster sites. Not because of their work here.
Please save yourself the headache and stress. Also, they will damage your personal property and make it seem like they are not liable you have to fight them to replace your damaged property. Did I almost forget they will charge for triple the machines that they had at your property. Good thing I always took pictures and the scammers had no choice but to acknowledge that they put that in as a "mistake". It wasn't a mistake. It's them trying to get over as with all the other "mistakes" for services never performed. This doesn't even sum up the nightmare I have dealt with this company. I stopped communicating with them over the phone and have everything in emails because they are liars and scammers. They don't follow state guidelines and their workers aren't licensed. Let me start by saying, don’t expect ServPro corporate to help out if you have trouble with one of their franchises. We have had major issues with ServPro of Bath and called corporate for help. They said they could do nothing. The franchise have to decide everything for themselves. Corporate also repeatedly promised someone would call to discuss the problems with us. We never received a call. First, we chose ServPro because of its reputation. We foolishly believed we could leave our home open to the people they hired with no worry that anything bad would happen. That did not happen. We left the door to our apartment open so the employees could clean out the landing area after hiring them on September 14th.
When we returned to the house on September 21st, our neighbor informed us that work on the house had started on Friday, September 20th, not Tuesday, September 17th, as we were told it would. We also discovered someone had gone through every drawer, closet and cabinet. They drank the remainder of two bottles of rum and took an unopened bottle of wine. They stole a stainless steel beer koozy and a stainless steel wine cup that held sentimental value as they were gifts.
We informed the site managers of the thefts. Within an hour, one of the employees got out of his vehicle with the beer koozy in his hand and returned it to us. We told the site managers we wanted the landing in the apartment area cleaned out before we left for our Virginia home on Sunday. They sent people in, who took up the floor and part of one wall. At that point they told us the job in that area was complete. We locked the door and left for Virginia at that point, believing no one would be allowed in that part of the house again, as we informed the people in charge of the site what had occurred.
The next Saturday, September 28th, we returned to Ocracoke to find the door had been unlocked and someone had been in the apartment again. This time a pair of speakers were missing along with some canned goods. The restroom had been used as well and, as the water had been shut off, a mess was left behind. There was also a cap with “Florida” left in the middle of the room. At that point we filed a burglary report with the Ocracoke sheriff’s department.
We then asked for a meeting with the franchise owner, which we had on October 3rd. At that meeting he told us he took full responsibility for what happened in our home. He shared with us he hired this work crew over the phone, sight unseen and sent them to our home with no ServPro employee supervising them, which is what should have happened, according to him. At the end of the meeting he stated, "obviously, we will do whatever you want.” We took a week to think this over, during which time, we did not hear from him.
On October 12th, we met with a contractor that was willing to restore our home. He informed us he would not start the rebuilding as there was more cleaning up to do. 80% of the underpinning and insulation under the house was not removed by Servpro, and was holding moisture and mold. There were five more walls to tear out, one of which has visible mold. There was another sub floor that needs to be removed that was holding moisture. Also, there were doors that were not removed, as well as two baseboard heaters and a central vac not remove, even though the baseboard heaters and doors were removed from the rest of the house. If we had been unable to return to the house for a month or two for whatever reason, and it was left in this condition, with us believing it was dry and mold free, what would its condition have been then?
At our first meeting ServPro, the franchise owner quoted us a price of between $18,000.00 and $23,000.00 to complete the work. Although we never received a written estimate, we took this as a verbal agreement. On October 13th he told us the total invoice came to $46,000.00. How did the price double? After the experience, we will never consider hiring any ServPro for any reason nor would we recommend them to anyone. From the thefts and burglary to the poorly done and unfinished job, I can say this is the worst experience with a nationally known company we have ever had.

My house caught fire on one end of the house. It burned my sun room and some siding and a few Windows. While the house was still on fire, Servpro showed up. 3 of them actually. Eventually, after the smoke cleared, literally, and include think, we spent some time and it felt like a good option, water and smoke damage was the big problem.
1) They said they'd move it out, get it cleaned, return it when I was ready up to a year. Well, they did that, and more. My house was 1400 sq ft, which is relevant. My main living room wall contained 150 or so books, some almost 100 yrs old, all returned like nothing had ever happened. Same with the art work, my curtains. Everything in the living room except for my 4 piece furniture set, and my 65" plasma tv, that happen to be between those big book shelves, and mounted 6 feet above the brick fireplace... They returned my bedding, but no bed. My clothes, but no dresser. My table with no chairs. They claimed to document everything, and simply didn't. All of which on the second floor on the opposite end of the house.
2) They recommend I work with green construction, some subsidy I don't know...but like I said, sun room was torch, few siding and walls needed rebuilding. They tells me, "We're going to wash everything best we can. Just clean its really good. Maybe twice if we have to." Went back there a month later and the house is down to the frame. The entire house. Just frame.
3) We work with a great insurance adjuster to help you through the process, and get you more money. They took me out for lunch and everything. Week later, ok, we made the deal, sign these checks, and we're good to go. Awesome news. Week later, no money. I was supposed to get some for you know, hotel, new clothes, whatever. Call the bank, all the checks cleared. Except 1. I won't say how much, but it was enough to buy a new house. The checks cleared yet are somehow missing. Now I still can't get in touch with anyone. I did not know most of these people are out for lunch at 11 on Monday, unless it's Tuesday, then it's 2. Or Friday its 1230. You get it. For some reason they're sick all the time, and on vacation. Avoid.

I had an inspector notice a leak around the toilet. I called ServPro, they were very nice and polite. I know why now. They kept telling me the damage was around the toilet, even after the tile and cement board was taken up. They placed the blower under the house and in the bathroom for three days. After that they said it was all dried. I didnt like the wood being brittle in front of the tub and a hole in front of the tub, the size of a softball. I had some people come over and help get the tub out. And guess what we found? There was a 1 x 4 board there to brace the tub and that board was soak. This was found after the claim to the insurance company was filed.
I contact servpro and I have not heard back from them. There are 2 things, either the meter wasn't working or they didn't want to take the tub out. The tub was one that was a shell, that had the roof, sides and tub all in one and was fiberglass. And it was a hassle to get out. I tend to believe that they are good at being friendly and not wanting the difficult and hassle work to do. The tub had to be cut in four sections to be removed, it was a very dusty job. Now, I'm not only out of my deductible on my home insurance, but, the extra expense of having the floor and tub replaced with my insurance. The whole time that the guys that came, kept assuring, that nothing was under tub, that it was toilet and the water ran down. This tub was 40 years old and fiberglass, it appears that it could have had a crack in it.
I would like to make a suggest, go with your gut and do not, do not, fill out their comments until ALL the work is done. I thought they were very friendly and had the equipment and experience to know better than me. WRONG!!!!! I thank God, that I did not want to leave the plywood like it was and decided to tear out the tub. Otherwise the joist would eventually have decayed and it would have been a bigger expense in the long run. I called three days ago to report this and I'm still waiting on a return call back.

We needed a small amount of mold taken care of at my mother's home after she passed. On the day they were to show up the girl at the office called saying we needed to pay $1800.00 before they even showed up. When we said that was backwards she threatened to turn the crew around!!! After some discussion she went down to $1450.00. This is without any work actually done!! We’re over a barrel because closing on the house is just a week away!! Earlier on we tried to get another quote from another company and it turned out to be Servpro again under another name!! Monopoly!! I’m going to report them to the state attorney general.

We contracted ServPro to steam clean our commercial kitchen. THIS entailed moving equipment to reach difficult areas. As the job went on the company wanted to quit halfway through and leave the uncleaned surfaces and walls dirty. It was difficult to reach. Fortunately my partner intervened and literally worked to finish the job for three hours. She did the most difficult part. The next day we discussed a revision on the bill. The initial bill was in excess of $1550 dollars for basically 6 hours of an incomplete job. All was to be cleaned and extracted. It was not.

Stay away from ServPro - they are awful. After a snow storm, lost power and sump pump failing, there was flooding in the basement and they were supposedly reputable... 2 guys showed up, unable to give us a price. And they were there for less than 2 hours during which they could not remove the water. That same week we received a bill for $1900. I wish I could make over $900 an hour. In addition they quoted areas we cleaned up which were not even touched such as the bathroom in the basement that had ZERO water in it at all.
After power was restored we asked for a quote to remove carpeting and dry out our basement which is less than 2000 sq ft - they quote a price of $10k and to leave it raw/undone as well as stating there could be mold and trying to escalate things. Of course we declined and found a much better co that cost 1/2 that amount, and they actually tested for mold of which there was zero since it was 15 degrees out at the time and only 48 hours after the storm..which is not enough time or the conditions for mold to grow anywhere.
Anyhow we told them the price was ridiculous and they said they would review and get back to us. They responded several months later that their accounts payable person was away from the office and would advise.. then nothing. Flash forward to more than a year later we just receive a letter demanding payment with NO bill and stating an even more inflated amount that "includes interest" with no base amount mentioned or invoice and threatening to damage our credit and threats of a lawsuit and legal fees - I don't know who is doing the creative accounting over there or thinks they are a legal genius, but this company should be shut down for unlawful business practices and false statements as well as price gouging during a storm, and clearly zero documentation of their hourly costs and work. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.

I had a small amount of mold in a bedroom due to water damage from a roof leak. I want to say Thank you to Mike, Melissa, and Kenney for their professionalism in getting this small job done in such a timely matter. The carpenter and painter did an excellent job as well. Very pleased.

After their "restoration" we noticed jewelry, old collectible coins, several bottles of expensive cologne and a lot of broken pictures and collection pieces. Don't trust them, they gave me bad advice and I didn't even want them, my insurance company did. They caused 3500.00 damage to my old apartment, they just tore shelves off the wall and my roommate had her Mothers Wedding ring go missing, which was also her Grandmothers and her grandmother's mother. How do we replace the unreplaceable.

I wish I had an option to select 0 stars for this company. Do not waste your time with this company, Servpro of Northwest Cincinnati. See other 1 star reviews. Their fangs came out when something went wrong. This company was very nice and friendly during their water mitigation process but completely different when there were issues with their work.
For my aunt's house water flooding mitigation, they finished their job and left the basement wood frames wet which then caused severe warping on the wooden panels throughout her entire 400 sq ft basement. Servpro blamed the company that had finished up my basement and continued their no fault stance. The company that finished my basement stated that Servpro was completely at fault as they did not dry up the wood frames properly. Now there is also mold growing in her basement. So I spent over $200 of MY OWN MONEY to get an independent assessment and it clearly pointed out that Servpro did not properly dry up the wood frames and was at fault for causing severe warping to the wood panels. Even with this independent assessment, Servpro denied their wrong doing and would not own up to replacing my wood panels.
Oh by the way, this took over 2 months as they took their time to assess and only assessed under pressure from my insurance agent. In the meantime, my aunt is waiting for resolution before she can put her house back on the market for sale. Complete disregard for their customer's well being. No way to run an operation. This has been an awful 2 months trying to help my aunt. As Servpro will not own up to their fault, I will be pursuing legal actions although it will be very costly for my aunt. Hope this post helps. Do not go with Servpro unless you enjoy pulling your hair out.
Among many examples of not admitting fault, this one is the best. You will get a good laugh out of this one. My aunt's basement has wood frames (6 to 8) in the middle of her basement that separates the living and storage areas. Servpro's top supervisor came out to assess with me there as well. He measured those wood frames for wetness and showed dryness at the base of the wood frames and wet near the water line marked with water stain. His conclusion was that there could have been additional water damage that could have caused wetness in the middle of the wood and not at the base of the wood. WOW!!! I know I am not a mitigation professional but my common sense tells me that it would be nearly impossible to have wet wood in the middle of the wood frame when it's dry at the base. I did not realize that water can float in air and damage just the middle of the wood with flood water stain and not cause wetness at the bottom.
