Red Set of Cookware - My husband purchased my set of pans Black Friday 2011 (I had begged for them). I love Paula Deen's show and magazine and assumed that the pans would be of good quality since her name is on them. Was I wrong. :(. I have many of the same issues as everyone else - inside peeling, color fading and lids don’t fit anymore. Walmart would not take them back, so I am thinking I will just mail them directly to Paula Deen and hope that she will replace them with a quality set. Paula, you might want to consider a recall on these pans as to not further damage your reputation.

I purchased a set of the light blue cookware. One by one, four of them have gotten pin holes on the bottom of them while cooking. I finally threw the rest of them away before I ended up with a fire because of the crappy craftsmanship of these pots. I have had pots from the Dollar Store that held up better. Never again will I buy anything Paula Deen puts out.

I have a Paula Deen cookware set I purchased from Walmart last year on Black Friday. All of the pots and pans are peeling inside. I am very disappointed in this set. I thought I was getting a good set of pots and pans only to find they are junk. These are worse than my old pots and pans that were cheap but seemed to last longer. I think the company should refund the customers who have this problem. I think Walmart should honor the customer since they sell this product.

I bought a big red lidded, non-stick skillet (paid twice what I normally do for the Paula Deen thinking it would last longer). Turns out the bottom warped right away so all the liquid, etc., rolls out to the edge of the pan and the tiniest nick from maybe a taster's fork or something didn't just stay a little scratch or nick in the coating like my other pans; it started bubbling and peeling away like paint. I tried making a stir fry the other day and it looked like I'd peppered all the food already so I threw it all out. I've never left it on high heat and I only use non-stick cooking utensils.

I called the company and they said to mail it in and they would determine if it was my fault or not for a warranty replacement. The dang thing is heavy and after these reviews, why would I waste a bunch more money on postage when they'll just say I nicked the pan and started it etc? It's going in the trash. At least I only bought one. Sorry for the rest of you. Oh and I only hand washed the thing. Whatever.

Paula Deen pans are no good. I'm not happy I spent all that money. The red on the outside of pans are coming off and the inside is peeling. I looked at some of the other reviews and it looks like there are a lot of people saying the same thing. Back in August, I called and kept getting a runaround. I was told I would get a call back and never got it. I called about three more times and still yet to hear from commingled so all you can do is keep calling and hope that they will call back.

My Paula Deen pans' handles are peeling and I just pulled a piece of paint out of my sauce. I think they are guaranteed but I can't find anyone to help me with that. I have always been careful in hand washing them, and the outside of the pans are brown from cooking. I have tried everything to clean them without any luck. I was so excited to own these pans, and now I'm very disappointed. They aren't cheap either, so now I know why I have been seeing them on the rack at Ross.

Paula Deen, you suck! Your cookware sucks! I can't believe you put your name on these products. I guess with your just coming out about diabetes, it still does not change who you are as a person. But with all the marketing out there, I apparently guess. Of course it's obvious you don't care about a product that you put your name on! You suck! But rake your millions and prey on little people like myself, my family and everyone else. Oh by the way, we even ate at your restaurant. Guess what? It sucked. I cook better food in my own house, but you sure look sharp on TV. I guess it's all about your image. I've had the same thing happen to your products as everyone else has had. Your products suck!

I purchased the red Paula Deen stockpot about two weeks ago from my local Wal-Mart. The second time I decided to cook in it today, I made chicken and dumplings. While cooking, I started to hear a popping sound coming from the pan. I immediately took it off the stove and started to move the chicken and dumplings to a large bowl. At the bottom of the pan, the porcelain had started cracking. Over the next ten minutes, the bottom of the pan continued to pop and the entire inside bottom of the pan shattered. My entire dinner was ruined because it had a burnt taste as well as little pieces of porcelain in the food. I called my local Wal-Mart and explained what had happened and I didn't have my receipt. The manager was nice enough to let me bring it back and exchange it. I am unsure after reading everything on here that I even want to try and use it again.

A year and a half ago, my boyfriend bought me the 15-piece Paula Deen cookware set (in red) for Christmas. I knew for our budget it was more than we could afford. He had said that Christmas and birthdays, this is the time you spend what you don't have for the ones you love. I was so thankful and told everyone how I was going to be in the kitchen cooking with Paula. After that, he had bought me a stockpot, a roaster pan and a griddle all for special occasions. I was feeling pretty spoiled, but that all lasted for about eight months.

I handwash all my pots and pans. I'm a clean freak so as soon as I'm done with something, I wash it and take care of my mess before I sit down to eat. First, my 15-piece cookware has the teflon peeling away around the rim and at the bottom of every pan. I use plastic BPA free utensils. That worries me. We all know how dangerous that can be, right? My pans are only a year and a half old. Secondly, my griddle sits uneven, on a slant one corner up in the air. So much for cooking more than two grilled cheese sandwiches at a time. Did my medium heat warp the pan?

Thirdly, I still use my roaster pan with no worries although it has chipped in the corner. I don't think my family is going to get sick from that! Lastly, the stockpot I use to cook a lot of potluck dinners as we have a big family and lots of friends. I cared for it just like the instructions had said, but still everything sticks and burns. After losing about 8 potluck meals, I only boil water in it. It's so sad that someone like Paula Deen would put out a product of such poor quality and still have it on store shelves. Is there a guarantee to back up these products or are only the stores responsible for these products (30-90 days)?

Now I am not a cook but these were beautiful and my kids did not have much money but on Christmas morning, they had pooled together and got me the cookware and utensils. I was ecstatic ... I cared for these and treated them well, but it wasn't long and the lids didn't fit right and I washed them all so carefully and they discolored and lost their shine. I thought I would get on your site to see how to clean them properly. I must have been doing something terribly wrong to lose the beautiful shine so fast. My mouth dropped at all the horrible reviews and all the reviews were the same as mine. My kids paid a lot of money for these beautiful pans I planned on keeping till I die, but I know my kids are wondering what I am doing wrong to have my pans look so awful so fast. Wait till I show them the review. What is your company going to do at your expense to make your customers happy Paula Deen owners again?

I decided to give the pots one more try this year. I stood by my stove for nearly three hours stirring my vegetables only to have them stick and burn when I answered my doorbell. The one pot burned so badly that the enamel cracked and broke off leaving a spot about the size of a quarter without any enamel on the pot. I am thoroughly disgusted with these pots. I will never purchase another Paula Deen product again and would like to know how I can notify the company of my complaint and seek repayment.

I purchased a Paula Deen 12-quart stockpot porcelain enamel, speckled exterior just over a year ago - sometime in 2011. It has eaten itself through the enamel in various parts on the pot. It has large raw, black spots all over these areas now as though a defect ate its way through the pot and will eat its way through the entire pot eventually. I think it is extremely wrong to make such poor quality cookware and take consumers' money, and not have a warranty on the cookware. I purchased it at Walmart, which will only honor a 90-day return or exchange policy. I do not think it is morally right to manufacture something, get money and not honor a warranty or a defect. I hope the manufacturer will get a big lawsuit from people who have experienced the same thing I have.

I returned it to Meyer Corporation’s warranty department with a letter of explanation. The pan was returned telling me it was my fault and that prolonged high heat was the cause. I never used high heat with this product because I have a glass top range. This was just a way to not honor the lifetime warranty. After reading other reviews where other people have had the same problem, I have removed this junk from my cupboard because I can't afford to ruin my cook-top like other people have by using it. Paula Deen signature porcelain nonstick 12-piece cookware (red) - I returned from my 6th middle east deployment the day before Mother's Day. After not seeing my five children for over a year while I defended my country, I was given a wonderful gift of PD 12-piece porcelain, nonstick cookware. Eager to cook and get back into the swing of things, I set about planning meals and cooking. I am originally from Alabama and I've been in the United States Navy for over 18 years. I've met people from all over, but am always delighted to get in touch with any southern roots. Needless to say, I was very disappointed to discover in the middle of making dinner that the handle on one of the pots started to come loose! Thankfully, we were able to complete dinner and I was able to tighten the screw, thinking it was no big deal.

A few weeks later, it happened again. I went to Walmart with my purchase receipt (that my family had purchased a while before I returned) and Walmart apologized, but directed me to contact PD directly. I read the reviews about the the product and customer service, they were awful. I couldn't believe the bright smiling PD has such rude, awful reviews. So, I decided to just replace the pot myself to avoid the headache, but that pot is not available alone. I'd have to purchase an entire new set! I called the customer service and they did not disappoint, they were rude and requested I shell out additional money to send the pot in and I may or may not get it replaced (with a 6-8 week turnaround time), and I was very confused especially since there are several sites and reviews about this very issue.

At least make the product available to purchase without having to buy an entire set and subject customers to rude staff. I've never put the pot in the dishwasher, mostly to preserve the color and it's just this one pot. What ticks me off the most is they are aware of this issue, so just send me another pot or at the very least, a prepaid shipping label. This does not strike confidence for future purchases or adding to a set. I was very disappointed and will not be recommending this product to anyone. Nice to know while many of us are sacrificing and defending this great country, PD staff was being trained on how to be rude to people. I sent several emails to paula-deen@mailca.custhelp.com, but the people at Walmart are aware of the issue with the PD cookware and know the issue with PD customer service. I feel like I have a 10-piece set and paid for a 12-piece. I will never use PD ever again.

The packing is good and tight, the product inside loosely. I never had a chance to try it. It never came out of the packaging in one piece. I paid $49 at Walmart for this product, a lot of money for something that could not even be opened, much more than used. Never again will a Paula Deen product be in my house. I can’t imagine what I would have done if I was cooking a prime rib and this did this to me there, instead of inside of the packaging. This is heart breaking because I love Paula Deen and was planning on buying all of her pots and pans. No more am I thinking about this.

I cannot return it since I no longer have the receipt since I bought it over a month ago. I have never had a pan warp, especially not so quickly. I agree with the other person's complaint, Paula Deen should do a recall on her cookware so that we can get compensation. I am on a tight budget and buying another pan set is out of the question for a while. So I am stuck using warped pans for the next several months and these were not even the least expensive pans. From day 1, every utensil I used scratched the bottom even the ones that came with it. The lids build steam and water in the top while cooking. And when you take it off and tilt it sideways, it stays in the rim. So when you put the lid back on, water goes everywhere. Today, while using the skillet and lid, the lid shattered into millions of pieces and made a huge pop. The burner wasn't even on high. What a disappointment. Paula Dean was always my hero and couldn’t stand Anthony Bourdain. But apparently, I should have a reality check, because the hard earned money we spent was wasted and we cannot afford another set of new cookware at the moment. So, we are going to second hand stores to try and find something to cook with.

These pots and pans are peeling off in big flakes of the teflon coating. Being this was a large purchase for us buying this 10 pc set, we only used silicone utensils and hand washed them. This put us in a very hard bind. I am ashamed that Paula Dean would put her name on such a worthless product and to take advantage of people. Shame on you! I purchased the whole set of Paula Deen cookware and set of knives in the wooden block. My pots and pans are sticking and dented to the point the lids won’t go on. And my knives are rotting and rusted. I would love to see my product replaced, maybe not with the same thing since the product obviously was not worth my money. We have spent close to $500.00 in PD cookware. We are sorry to say I am not pleased at all of course. If she would be willing to rectify this problem, I would be very grateful and would continue to purchase her products. I only want the company to make this right, nothing more or less. Thank you.

Well, my husband bought me the Paula Deen pots and pans for our anniversary and knows they are starting to lose the non-stick coating. I have noticed they have lots of bends in the metal. My husband bought me them in March 2011. Now it is November 2011 and they are just falling apart. I do not understand why it is doing this. I enjoyed them when they were working great, but now everything is sticking to them. I know I can’t even use them because of the non-stick coming off of the pans.

When I first got my cookware set that I paid $110.00 for, I loved it. But when I used the covered Dutch oven pot - I made stew in, the glass top shattered while cooking. And I lost my whole pot of stew, potatoes, carrots, green bean, onions, and spices. I had to start from scratch and make something else in another pot. Now that this happened, I'm afraid to use the glass tops. Also, along the inside rim’s finish, it is all coming off. I always wash in mild dish liquid and don't use a dishwasher. I take very good care of my things and loved my set.

I also purchased an extra large deep frying pan with glass top, which costs an additional $40.00. What can you do for me to reassure me to buy Paula Deen cookware and recommend this product to family and friends? I live on a fixed income and expected this cookware set and extra pan to last me for several years. I purchased this set and extra pan at Walmart in Queensbury.

It is not the quality I had high expectations for with Paula Deen cookware. I would hope that my skillet would be warrantied and replaced. I do not have the receipt. I purchased it at a local Walmart. The skillet is the perfect size and all, but the defect is my complaint.

My wife purchased two Paula Deen Frying pans (red color) 9" and 11-1/2" from Dillard’s, Target, Walmart or Bed, Bath and Beyond for my birthday we do not have a receipt. This was several months ago in December, 2010. After using the pans twice, the red color keeps coming off. I have rubbed and rubbed to try to get the color to quit coming off, but it keeps coming off. I feel that this is a health problem and that there may be others with this same problem. We would like to return these for pans that do not have the paint come off and was told to send the pans at my expense to the Meyer Corp and if they find that I did not cause and defect, they will replace the pans. I cannot believe this is a Paula Deen product with this quality. See picture attached. If the Meyer Company is making these pans for Paula Deen, the ones we got are very poor quality.

I threw my receipts so Target can't do anything about it. I was planning on buying the whole set. But with the problems I've been having with theses skillets, I'm not sure. All I want is my skillets to be replaced, so I can try to use them. And if I'm satisfied, I will purchase the whole set. Maybe it was a manufacture error on their part, the way they made them. It could be one bad apple out of the whole bunch. You can call me at **. I love Paula Deen products. And I'm a sick lady, survivor with cancer. I can't afford to just go, buy another set of skillets.

I purchased an 11-piece Paula Deen Signature non-stick inside outside pots and pans set from Target a few months ago. The non-stick coating came off very easily when we used the plastic serving spoon that came with the set or a wooden spoon. This is my first new set in years and the non- stick coating is horrible. It comes off easily. The lids heat up quickly and I fear they will shatter. The knobs that you pick up the lid with get very hot to the touch at a low simmer.

This is the worst mistake I made purchasing this set. I contacted Meyer Co. which is listed as the manufacturer. They responded to my complaint by email and basically they were sorry I was unhappy and said if I wanted to return them, I needed to deal with Target and not them. Target does not have a great return policy. I thought if it had Paula Deen's name to a product, this would be of great quality and value. The pots and pans are neither .

I purchased the Paula Deen ten-piece cook set (copper bottom with non-stick fry pans) last year at Target for a little over $100. The non-stick surface of the 2 pans is coming off, and from the beginning, food stuck to it like crazy and basically impossible to cook anything in.

I have only used wooden utensils in these pans and never ran them through the dishwasher. I always use the utmost care when washing them by soft cloth or sponge and non-abrasive soap. I always store them with soft cloths in-between the pans to protect the surfaces. But no matter how careful I have been with these, the non-stick surface is cracking and coming off, which is completely unsafe to eat food prepared from that. Also, the oil sticks so bad to the surface and does not come off in washing. I have had other non-stick pans before that were cheap but lasted longer than these.

When I tried to call customer service, I could not get through to a live person. It kept me on hold forever and the pre-recorded messages didn't explain how to spell the name of the company for the website and it is not listed on any of the documents that came with the set. The message said to send the products back at my expense so their team can evaluate and consider replacement. I don't want a replacement. I either want my money back or a replacement that does not have the non-stick material. Target has a terrible return policy and I am kicking myself for even purchasing it there. Costco would have returned it without question, so this is a grievance against Target too, I suppose.

When the green beans were hot, I went to remove the pan from the stove and the copper bottom disintegrated into molten metal and flew all over the stove, kitchen counter, floor and floor mat. I also was struck by a piece of the metal and suffered a burn on my right hand when lifting the pan.

I was given a Paula Deen 2 quart copper bottom saucepan for Christmas last winter (2009). On the evening of Wednesday, December 8, 2010 the pot's copper bottom melted into a substance like molten lava. It melted and cracked my five-burner glass stove top, damaged my counter top adjacent to the burner, and ruined my rug. When I removed the pan, the bottom dripped melted blobs of the copper bottom onto my counter top and rug very close to my foot. No matter where I moved the pan, it would have damaged another area of the stove/counter top.

I had no idea the bottom had melted until I lifted it off the stove. Thankfully, my 6-year old twins were in another room and not next to me when this happened. However, they did run into the room mere moments later and I had to quickly keep them away from the floor and counter while I figured out how to clean up cooling melting metal.I have taken pictures of all the damage. I have never had this happen to a pot in all my cooking years. I am disheartened and shocked by the damage in my kitchen. With the holidays approaching, I can not use my stove top as it is severely damaged. If this happens to others, the damage could be worse or someone could be injured. I am struggling with how to handle this as the damage is substantial and I know it could be worse for others using this pan or other copper bottoms cookware.

I must also mention I have never made a complaint before about a product. I either return it (if just purchased) or take responsibility for it breaking or being damaged. This was too dangerous of a situation, plus the damage that was done, to not attempt to take action. I believe this happened due to the unsafe design and construction of the Paula Deen copper bottom cookware, including the 2 qt saucepan.

The two-year old glass stove top, an area of the counter top, a rug, and the pan itself were all damaged or destroyed. I opened all the windows and doors (at 30F degrees in winter) and turned fans on for two hours until the smoke and smell diminished. My two children and myself were in this smoke during this time trying to air the house out. My husband and I have estimated the damage at $5,000 for replacement of all that was damaged or lost in the incident.

We purchased a Paula Deen Pan and Lid from our local Wal-Mart store back around March 2010, as my wife is enamored with this lady. Today July 28, 2010, I was making chicken breast with this skillet and lid when I heard a pop and turned to see the glass lid had burst. My daughter was crying as a piece of shrapnel flew across the kitchen and cut her finger. We were the only 2 in the kitchen at the time and she was beside me as I was filling her cup with milk. So I know she didn't fondle the item.

The shards fell into the pan and ruined the chicken breast and left shrapnel around the kitchen. It must be made of tempered glass because the majority of it was still intact, but the handle was popped off the lid, as well as roughly an inch wide circle of glass was missing. I pulled two pieces out of the skillet and swept and vacuumed the linoleum in the kitchen, retrieving 5 or 6 more shards from the floor, with one of them being stained with my 4-year-old's blood. Fortunately, I took photos of the lid and my daughter's finger for proof.

In January 2010, I purchased a set of the blue 10-piece Paula Deen Cookware. After 3-4, I noticed that my small frying pan was bent on one side. I will tell you that I am the only person in the home that uses this cookware. It has been well-protected due to the fact that it was over $100.00 for the set. I also noticed that the large frying pan is pitted and food is sticking to the pan which is non-stick. I have never dropped, abused, or used anything other than the Paula Deen or a wooden spoon to cook to protect the pans.

I contacted Paula Deen and was told to contact the manufacturer. I was told to contact Paula Deen, and again, I was told to contact the manufacturer. I advised the agent that I was tired of being jerked around and told her I was not going to contact anyone else and that this cookware was new and I wanted something done or that I will tell friends, family, etc. that Ms. Deen did not stand behind her product.

I was then advised to sent the pans at my cost back to the manufacturer. I sent a reply to the agent and told her that I will not do this at my cost. She then wrote me and told me that I could just send in the receipt to her. I wrote her back and told her that I liked my idea better. I advised her that people save money to buy products like this and then basically find that when something goes wrong, they have their money and they are done with you.

As a matter of fact, I probably have the receipt, but finding it is another issue. I also advised the agent that they needed to get their customer service in order, and I also informed her that if I could be on TV fanning hundred dollar bills like Ms. Deen does in a commercial, I would feel very bad about how I ignore consumers. In addition, I reminded the agent who is responsible for the hundred dollar bills Ms. Deen is fanning.

I immediately dropped the hot melting pot in the sink. Even though I was in excruciating pain, I had to put the fire out. I proceeded to take the portion of the rug that wasn't on fire and covered the portion that was on fire to put out the fire. During this process I was still in a lot of pain.

Once I accomplished putting out the fire from the burning rug, I hopped to my sofa screaming, crying and holding my feet in unbearable pain. After sitting on the sofa for about 3 minutes as my foot was still hurting badly, I hopped back to the kitchen to get some ice to cool the burning pain on the bottom of my foot. My foot was in pain all night. I kept hopping back to the kitchen to get more ice.

The next day, I saw that my foot was not getting any better so I went to the emergency room for care. There was damage to the kitchen floor and rug. The pot which cost $30.00 and the physical and mental damage to me. Medical expenses was incurred also.
