We created request for dishwasher repair on 8/3 with service request#**. It took them 10 days to confirm that it cannot be repaired and has to be replaced. We confirmed on August 14th that we would choose for the option to replace the appliance replaced as opposed to getting cash. It took them another 10 days to place the order for replacement which they only did after multiple follow-ups.
Finally on August 23rd they provided us with vendor name - DARYL Flood Logistics who would ship the appliance. However we called the vendor, they confirmed that they do not have service to any appliance to our location. We called back to One Guard immediately to inform that the shipping company doesn't ship to our location, they ignored and asked us to wait till the ETA mentioned in the email which was 9/18/2021. When we called on 9/18/2021, they asked us to call back on 9/20/2021. When we reached out on 9/20/2021, they said the shipping company doesn't deliver to our location. We have been calling everyday now requesting supervisor to call us back, but there has been no response past 3 days. This company is the most unprofessional service we have ever seen who is not responsible and deliver poor quality service.
I am pregnant and informed them that not having dishwasher has been so inconvenient, but they completely ignored my situation and now it has been almost 2 months we have no dishwasher. We requested to change back to cash back option so we can install the dishwasher ourselves today. But upon this request, One guard informs us saying we will be charged for restocking the order we had placed almost 1 month back whereas we have no tracking number or status where this dishwasher is coming from since a month now. We have been disgusted with the customer service who do not even try to resolve the issue and just give random stories everyday with different reason that the dishwasher is on its way. We now are stuck and feel left with no option in this scenario. I will be having a baby soon and badly needed a dishwasher to get started.

The inspector of the house said that the pressure in my lines might be too high, so I had a plumber come out and check. I then had a problem with the dishwasher, and someone came to deal with that. I had another one just recently wherein my heating system had a problem with the thermostat, and I had somebody come for that as well. I've used OneGuard three times, and each time, they've sent a very competent company out to do the work. The ease of scheduling an appointment has been the best though. I've used another home warranty company in the past, and it was very difficult to schedule. I've never needed to talk to a live person with OneGuard, but with the other company, I could never get ahold of someone that could resolve an issue for me. I'm really pleased with how easy it is to use OneGuard. It's been great.

One of the best things about OneGuard is the customer service and I've got a very good rep, Deb. She's wonderful and we've become friends throughout the years. She is really involved. She knows the things backwards and forwards and I know if there are any issues, she'll get right in the middle and take care of it. Also, so far, the contractors that OneGuard has dealt with have been real good so I recommend them over all the other home warranties. I also like paying the $69 upfront and not having to deal with the contractor for payment. They are limited on how far they go out, though, and I kind of wish for everybody else's sake that they went a little further. However, I'm glad in a way that they don't. They keep it small and our service seems to stay better if they're not that huge.

It has been three weeks since we initially contacted OneGuard on our policy to report a failure with the air conditioning the day after closing. We are in San Antonio where the heat index has been consistently 100 or above. We are dangerously hot and are planning legal action against the company. We have logged 21 phone calls and received 5 or 6 in return; sent 13 emails to our rep Katlyn ** with only 4 return emails; 3 emails to Inspections Group with no responses; and 3 times accessed the portal on the website asking for help. We have asked for a supervisor 3 times, to no avail. The listing agent whose client purchased the warranty has been involved and she can get no response either. When contacted, no one has been helpful.
Responses are a mishmash of "give us 48 hours and we will have a supervisor contact you"--we have requested this 3 times with no callback, or "the fault is with the service provider, he has not responded to our requests" (maybe you should use a reputable service provider rather than a man in a truck with stick on letters) and other excuses. No one has helped us and no one seems the least bit interested in trying. There are tons of negative reviews on this company on various sites including the Better Business Bureau of Phoenix: 254 complaints closed in the last 3 years, and 144 in the past 12 months. What you should pay attention to is the claims that have not been resolved. What we are facing is standard operating procedure. Ignore, evade and lie. We're frankly surprised that the AG of Arizona or Texas isn't interested in the repetitive fraud against consumers. The name on the warranty is Cindy **.
Submitting a claim is quick. It depends on how fast the contractor actually schedules but the automated system works pretty well. Over the years, I've gotten several different contractors for the same type of issues. Some are better than others. I would like to have steadier contractors and OneGuard should not keep switching them. Other than that, I'm satisfied and I've recommended OneGuard to other people. But the terms and conditions of the new policies are different from the ones I have. The newer contracts are not as good.

Submitting a claim over the phone has been easy but online has been a pain. I sold my old house and got a new one and the new property didn't really show up online at first. Also, OneGuard just assigns somebody but from there, they don't check on timeliness. The last three times that I've had to call in somebody, I had to call OneGuard back and say that time is not gonna work and that I can't wait three days for something to get taken care of. As soon as I do that, the rep says, “Okay, I found something that’s going to be there quicker.” If OneGuard just did that from the get go, it would have been a lot better of an experience. It was unnecessary hassle. Other than that, the interactions with the people themselves have been great.

OneGuard referred me to a company that took 10 days to NOT fix my leaking pipe. I asked for authorization to use someone else before I had worse damage and incurred more expenses. The restoration company said they had to pull their drying equipment if I didn't get it fixed. My home insurance said they wouldn't cover the secondary damage if I let it get worse. OneGuard never even replied which left me with no choice but to use someone else. The other plumber came in less than 24 hrs and fixed in the issue in only 2 hours. OneGuard will not pay the bill because I used a different contractor - a contractor that was far more competent than their contractor. It is only $750, pennies for them, a lot of money for me. All because you cannot get a hold of someone to help you in an emergency situation.

I usually phone in OneGuard for my claims and it has been pretty straightforward. Their reps have been really good and I never had a problem with the techs who came out. Someone told me that they've used different warranty companies that they've had problems with where they would say that this and that were not covered or they were out of luck. But I've never experienced that, so I would say that for all the years that I've been with OneGuard, I've never been disappointed.

One Guard would not fix my A/C when it had been under warranty for 7 years while it was 100 degrees outside. Left me with no help, no return call, wouldn't send a repairman out over the weekend. Once someone finally came out three days later, they determined my A/C unit needed a new compressor. I called One Guard to ask what the process was to repair this, they had to check and call me back. Never returned my calls, I explained it is 100 degrees in Texas as it was summer time, and I needed an answer immediately. Never returned my call, I had to call back several times & finally the customer service department said they would not cover this due to A/C was dirty. I don't recommend this company, also had other problems with things they would not cover that was stated in the Contract that they do cover.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! This company will do ANYTHING they can to avoid having to cover anything. The purchase of our home came with a two year contract with OneGuard... And quite honestly we would have been better off without them. Our refrigerator stopped worked... We called OneGuard, paid the service fee, and were then asked for our home inspection as a push back for fixing our system... It took THREE MONTHS to get a new refrigerator and having to call in several times.
Next our air conditioner started having issues... We called them out, the technician 'fixed it' ... and 5 days later it stopped working again. I called them back out and they claimed this was a new issue, and therefore needed to pay another service fee... Here we are, 2 weeks later, and the system has stopped working entirely. They charged ANOTHER service fee, took our system apart and disconnected it from the home and said it needed to be replaced but we would have to wait through the weekend, it is now Monday and they are refusing to fix anything saying it is 'too hard to access', but their technician didn't have trouble taking our system apart.
Oh and don't bother paying extra for help to cover your pool... WHAT A JOKE! We have a pool guy who comes every month, and my husband maintains it in between... We had some monsoons, shortly after the pool started leaking DE into the pool... We paid the service fee, they sent out some terribly rude technicians, and then claimed they will not cover anything on the pool due to "improper maintenance care". They never did an inspection on the system when I bought the home, but again will do anything they can to fight having to actually fix anything.
I've now spend countless hours on hold with OneGuard and still have no AC and a broken pool. This month alone they charged me close to $500 in service fees and informed us today that they will not be covering anything. They claim the AC is 'too hard to access' and that the pool was 'not maintained properly'... Even though we have a pool guy who comes bi-weekly. Again if you're looking for a home warranty - BE WARNED.

I've been with OneGuard since they came into existence here in the valley. I used to belong to ServiceOne and they took over OneGuard. I've had really good experience with OneGuard. I only had one bad experience recently with one vendor, but they're still working on it. It’s a bit slow, but aside from that, I have good experience. One thing OneGuard could improve on is making sure that their resolution department does call people back because twice, I didn't get a call back. I finally got someone the other day. If there is a problem, we need a phone number or a person that we could call and get through to in these tough time. But they've always been giving great service other than that. I love that they always respond quickly and that the vendors have all been reliable. So, I've been very happy with them.

I pick up my phone or go on a web browser and enter a ticket. It's drop-dead simple to enter a service request online. I have a recall pending right now. A sprinkler repair guy, what he fixed isn't fixed. So, I just had to have them come back out. But I'm sure it's just something he overlooked. So far, so good. My air conditioner is working great. That's the last thing that I had done. The tech fixed it. I was shocked I got same day service. And the guy took 20 minutes to fix it. I got lucky and dodged a bullet. We wouldn't be alive without air conditioning, because we're in Texas and it's freaking hot. You have to do your own research because there are other warranty companies out there, but I've used OneGuard and had success.

I've had a couple of claims with OneGuard and it was awesome. The experience has been good overall. Every time the contractors have been out to the house, they have been professional and outstanding. We had a claim to OneGuard for an appliance and our garage door. The claims process was very easy. Considering I pay 800 for the entire policy, and the oven was $700 and the garage door was like 300, they already saved me money.

We took a one-year warranty from One Guard. Our HVAC unit went out on the 3rd month, so we called for One Guard to file a claim and get service. The company (Speedy Electric & A/C) they sent out said that the compressor went out and needs to be replaced and OneGuard will cover it. They said the filter caused the damage. While the filter was not that dirty since it's replaced 3 months back. The airflow was fine. The air filter for the upstairs unit was dirtier than the one that broke. This home warranty is a waste of money and this company is nothing more than a scam. Their contractor will say something to you and report a different thing to Oneguard company. I've used many home warranty companies, but this is the worst. Don't waste your money and time on them

Everything's good with OneGuard. My latest claim was for a hot water heater. That was probably two years ago and the experience was good as far as the tech's work was concerned. He did call one of his buddies who was in the water damage mitigation business and had him come up. Maybe he was getting a kickback from the water damage mitigation company because they came up fairly quickly and quoted a really high price to repair water damage surrounding where the water heater was. I was immediately suspicious. So, I called somebody else, and they came in with a much lower quote.

I have a claim for my air conditioning unit and OneGuard has been very helpful. When I first put the claim in, it took almost a week out before the first company could come out. I called and OneGuard was able to find me another company that could come sooner. And I’ve been going back and forth with that company, coming up with different things and what could be the issue with the AC. It turned out to be their problem at the beginning. But OneGuard has been working with me diligently as far as getting it resolved and I’m waiting now for the additional company to come out today to get it really resolved.

We had an issue with our refrigerator holding temperature in the refrigerator side. I submitted a request online and I got an instant notification via email saying who the contractor would be that would be coming out. Then, I got a call in under four hours from the vendor that OneGuard had chosen and we set up the service. The techs came out the next day and they replaced an item. We were also having issues with the icemaker, so they took a look at that. They had to come back out with parts a second time around and they replaced the icemaker components. But they were back out today again because the fix did not work.
We had a separate claim for an air conditioner system that was not operating and it would be nice if prior to them charging the service fee, they could let us know if, based on the diagnosis of what's happening, it really requires the home warranty intervening or just having a contractor come out. In our case, the techs came out and work wasn't covered. But it was pretty cut and dried based upon the symptoms of what was happening, that it was tied to something that was not going to be covered in the first place.

We have been with OneGuard for 8 years. Up until today, their coverage has been good. This week my 55 gallon Sears water heater started leaking. Everything that is readable in the contract simply says that water heaters are covered. There is no indication of a co-pay or fine print. OG had previously replaced our clothes washer at no additional charge. That is what I expected for the water heater. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when they told me it would be $960! You can buy a comparable Rheem at Home Depot for $780 plus installation. Bottom line: Water Heaters are not covered by One Guard. It is now time to renew our contract. This $1,212.00 renewal will not be happening.

I had one claim for plumbing and one for my garage door. The techs came on time within a few days and everything was fixed. All in all, I like OneGuard and I have no problem with them. They're very courteous when I talk to them and they get everything done.

For the most part, the techs that OneGuard got the job done and were professional. In a number of occasions, we've had to pay in addition to the $75 fee that they charge you every time we call the warranty service, which then makes you want to get a little bit smarter on when you should call them and when you shouldn't. Our experience with the locksmith was especially interesting. He got the job done, but it was very difficult to get a concrete timeframe when he would come to the house. He said he'd be here on a certain day and that he'd call when he was on his way, but he didn't give us at least a four-hour window, so we didn't have to be here all day waiting, because we had to be here when that was done.

We had a claim for the AC unit and the techs took a few days to come out. But for the next claim that we had for a running faucet, I called OneGuard back to see if they could get somebody out sooner because the first person we talked to told us someone would be out in four or five days. And the lady was wonderful. She called around while I was on hold and got somebody out there within the next hour. Aside from that, most of our stuff were repaired on the same day that the tech came out.

With OneGuard, you don't have to really search for someone for the problem. You can just call one person and they get in contact with the right people. If you're a new homeowner, it's convenient. When you have a claim with them, you can call or you can go online, but I find calling better. And as for the technicians, everybody has been professional, helpful, and happy to help educate, which is an important part of the service industry.

I’ve called somebody to submit a claim and they took the information and they told me that they were going to send somebody out. It was very pleasant. They were good to work with. The techs that came out were very knowledgeable and easy to work with too. Very pleasant people. It worked well for us. Would recommend OneGuard.

OneGuard is very easy to work with. Their contractors are either excellent or absolutely horrible. There's no in-between. But if I ran into a problem, I’d contact OneGuard and let them know. They've always sent a different contractor out. They've been very good about that. They just need to vet their companies that they work with better because some of them are real trash. The lowest bid is a factor, but it isn't always the best bet.

In May 2021, I requests a service call for a water leaking from the base of the commode. I knew all they needed to do was replaced the wax seal therefore IGD Plumbing was sent. Since I am a Senior Citizen and a woman, Tyler the repairman from IGD thought he could throw plumbing terminology at me to sound knowledgeable. He sound like an apprentice, not bonded or licensed that led me to record the conversation and take pictures. In addition, I notified OneGuard right after the visit of my uneasiness with him. I don’t know if it was notated because they notate what protects the company.
However, a week later the commode started leaking from the same area. Unfortunately, I got Tyler again from IGD and his inability to diagnose or resolve the issue says “Oh, the screw from the flange is loose” then proceeded to tighten them. One of the screw he tighten high broke the flange again. I contacted OneGuard for recall service. The flange was worn but not broken prior to the initial call. IGD caused more damage than repairs. I’d clean up the walk before he got there and water leak only when flushed. He did not see any water and I told him it happens when it flushed. He said, "I do not see any water" and One Guard will not authorized if he did not see any water so next time take pictures. Tyler says I can ogg the line if I wanted but does it require that. So he ogged the line but Yesenia ** says they did not charge One Guard which was odd.
My question is why would he say he ogged the line and not want to be paid for it. The reason is he lied to me about it so dishonest and these are the companies OneGuard sending into their customers' homes. I had pictures and my trust in his ability to resolve the issue or report to One Guard the truth…conversation was recorded again. I called OneGuard again and of course IGD was sent again to replace the flange but he wanted to repair the flange…how do you repair a flange? By that time I was done with incompetence action of IGD and specifically Tyler. I was very firm with my expectations for repair, he says, "You do not want the flange repaired so I need to come back." I said, "You were authorized to replace the flange not repair it" and he said, "I do not have a flange on my truck."
In between waiting for repairs, I asked OneGuard for a second opinion that knew what they doing. They sent Precision Plumbing. Company agreed the flange was the issue but OneGuard was looking other reasons not to honor the repairs. How is it the Plumbing Company do have what’s needed for repairs especially when you know what is required? I mention the second opinion and Tyler said why didn’t Precision make the repairs. To cover himself, he told OneGuard they would not return because I was rude. What?!
I have found that OneGuard uses different tactics to circumvent the licensing guidelines to contract with companies unlicensed and inexperienced repairmen. Therefore, the customers is out of pocket for repairs they should honor. Yesenia ** is the customer relation contact in which she attempted to gaslight me into accepting $650.00 for repairs to avoid any additional cost to OneGuard. They’ve done this to a lot of Senior Citizens and other customers for their bottom line.
In my research of this company, they were investigated under the name Landmark Home Warranty so One Guard Home Warranty created to continue to scam customers and use the loop holes to continue their business. The BBB complaints are all the same complaint and reviews so they are notorious for collecting premiums and not honoring repairs with disreputable vendors. This is a disreputable, conniving and crooked company!! If anyone decide to have OneGuard Home Warranty, do your research on them. As of July 26, 2021, my plumbing issue hasn’t been resolved and One Guard used 3 different reasons why it’s not covered.

Absolutely worthless home warranty company! Please don't waste your money. We've had our HVAC routinely maintenanced in our 40 year old home since we've owned it for 4 years -- & still constantly had issues and repairs every few months. Every company that came out told us it needed to be replaced but OneGuard refused to replace the 17 year old unit. We recently had a leaky coil that no company would touch because they were afraid of breaking the unit when they go to change it out. It got so bad that it began leaking underneath our floors. Again, they refused to do anything and said it was our fault for not taking better care of the unit despite it being rusty when we originally purchased the home.
Now we are going to have to pay 10k-20k out of pocket for a new unit and repairs. Keep the monthly fee and put it aside to pay for your repairs yourself -- they are also horrible to coordinate with as you have to use their contractors. It took them days to get back to us and get someone out to us despite having an active leak in our home.
