    A contractor did the yearly checkups and there were a couple of issues that they found that were taken care of. OneGuard seems to be very flexible and their customer service is great. I've dealt with them in the past where I didn't hear from the vendor that they were going to send out. I asked them, “Could you possibly go with the other vendor that you used the last time?” They said, "No problem." They usually tell me who they send the claim to, and I go and look up to see what their score is. If they've got a super low score, I will call OneGuard and say, “They're not coming here.” If others are looking at going with a home warranty service, OneGuard would be probably one of the ones to look at.

    I have experienced the worst customer service and worst experience ever with contractors. The home warranty company uses 1 star contractors who take forever to contact you. When they do show up they don’t show up in a service van. They show up in personal cars. Half the time the contractors make excuses as to why the problem is not covered with the warranty company.

    Newest problem -AC has been out for 72 hours with 96 degree temps. No call from service tech. OneGuard solution…"Let us find you another one"... Well I found one on my own…Will you reimburse the expenses after my unit is fixed… "Well ma’am no. That’s not how it works. We want you to suffer until we can find you someone." Then I state, "Maybe I need to cancel my policy." Get sent to retention. Scott ** doesn’t even try to make a customer happy. He just cancels the contract without confirming that is in fact what you want. Had to call back and state that I did not give my authorization for a cancellation.

    We renewed OneGuard after this first year and we appreciate the coverage. One thing that I have found deficient is the actual contact with a human. There have been times when I have tried to make contact with someone and it will take me literally an hour or more to get someone on the other end of the line after multiple tries or being on hold for long minutes. Sometimes, I've been waiting 40 minutes. And the other thing is there was an increase in the base. I understand that we're in inflationary times but that was not clearly disclosed to us. All of a sudden, it jumped 69 to 75 and that was it. There was no additional explanation. So, there should be a lot more customer communication and personal availability of actual people to talk to because it's wonderful that they have a great website, but sometimes I need to talk to someone and that has not been so available to me.

    For the most part, except for a plumbing guy I got last year early on, everybody else has been very good, professional and knowledgeable. They have all been prompt. I recommend OneGuard to anybody that owns a home in this area, especially people who are new to the area and do not have a network of contacts. OneGuard is a very good resource to have for peace of mind and for enjoyment of life in the area.

    I've place two requests so far, and it took a week every time. One request was to fix my sprinkler and that was handled well. In a week's time, I heard back from the technician and got it fixed. My last claim was for my dishwasher appliance that's not working great, and it's taking longer to resolve. The tech said it has to be either repaired or replaced. I was expecting to get it replaced, but I was told it was only going to be repaired and I'm still waiting on the technician to do the service. It's been more than two weeks and I still didn't hear back from OneGuard or the technician. It's like I have to chase them down.

    Last Friday, I reached out to OneGuard to see what happened. I've reached out twice. The first time, I was told there was a delay in getting the parts for replacement then the second time, I waited for 20 minutes on the line and nobody answered. Overall, OneGuard has been pretty good, but I've had a mixed experience with my two claims. I was able to schedule appointments online and I like that experience. On the other hand, I would like to have some proactive response for these issues that I put in. I have to follow up.

    OneGuard is great. I like them. During the claims process, you just go online and put in a request, and they do the rest. The techs that they've sent are very good.     First of all, the plan is far more than 59.00 per month. I called for help with an irrigation system issue. They charged the 69.00 fee and rather than dispatching the company they have always sent before, sent me an email to tell me that I am on my own. They agreed to refund the fee they charged before telling me that they could not help me with this. I found my own contractor and 200.00 out of pocket later, no more leak. Then I needed HVAC help. Furnace will not come on. I had a great deal of difficulty getting the representative to understand furnace = HVAC is NOT the hot water heater. Paid the 69.00 fee again.

    The following week, I finally got a call from the vendor. The following week. All this time with no heat. What if I had an elderly person in the house? Tech will be here between noon and four. It is now four fifteen. No tech. No call. I called OneGuard to find out what is going on and was put on hold for exactly 21 minutes before finally the survey came on. You can imagine how that survey went. I called again only to have this representative transfer me to my own number. I left myself a message. Just try to reach a supervisor. Will never happen. It should tell you all you need to know about a company when they make it impossible to reach a manager. This is the service FAILURE you will get from OneGuard. After being with them for years and paying them thousands of dollars. Trusted leader? **.

    The first claim we had was for a problem with our swimming pool. But whoever OneGuard sent around really screwed up the test. He didn't do it properly and he got a fake reading. We complained about that, so OneGuard sent around somebody else who said, "Yes, he did the test incorrectly." Then they fixed whatever the problem was. So the first contractor was totally useless but the second one was very good. So far, OneGuard has been adequate. But we paid extra for swimming pool coverage but once or twice when we've called for something, they've told us it was not covered. All insurance companies are very good at taking money but not very good at paying it out.

    I had a water heater claim a few years back and the process was fine. The techs came out, determined that it had to be replaced then showed up the next day and replaced it. The contractors are all local. One time, our air conditioner went, and it was the condenser, which was 300 bucks. The guy who was here said it's very close. If it can't be repaired then it would be replaced. We've been with OneGuard so long and this year, just before I was gonna renew, they called me and said, "Well, we can renew it for the same coverage you have and everything for almost $100 less if I renewed it that day." I was gonna do it the next day, but I did that day and it worked out real well.

    I had a refrigerator problem and OneGuard sent out a vendor. The tech supposedly fixed the part but right away, we had to call it in because it wasn't working. We asked for another vendor who we've had come out once before and the tech was excellent. They came out and we got the refrigerator taken care of. We've been satisfied with OneGuard. One of the things I feel is fair is their service charge of $69. The only thing is sometimes things are not going to be covered and it doesn't make sense to us. But like everything else, they have certain stipulations on things that they're going to fix and that they're not going to fix.

    The claims process is going great. I just had my AC inspected for the summer, and I've had my furnace tuned up. I've had several things done, and I've had great technicians. Having a warranty helps me from having to wonder who to call for what. I can just pick up my phone and call them as opposed to having to search or ask for referrals. That’s the convenience of it. However, I would like to see OneGuard improve on some preventive measures as opposed to waiting for something to happen before they can send someone out. Also, because I pay every month and don't use it every month, I shouldn't even pay no service fee just like any of them that I'm paying every month.

    I called One Guard to have my $300 Moen Kitchen faucet looked at, it was leaking. This model had been repaired by One Guard 5 years earlier, This time The people they sent out, said they would not repair it, cause one guard wants just to replace them. Yeah they forced me to take a $80 cheaply made Home Depot Faucet, that not even same finish I had, or same style. 50% of the reviews at home depot said these fail within a year, so how is that cheaper for one guard if they are sending plumbers out once a year to replace cheap faucets when higher quality like my Moen lasts 5-10 years with simple $40 repair parts put in.

    Just another way the warranty company is sticking us with cheap inferior products, very disappointed, the plumber would not even listen, said either take this one or we are leaving and you talk to one guard, gee would have been nice if I had been made aware of this BEFORE I was charged a NON refundable service call, yeah, one guard and the service people know they have you by the Nuts, when if you tell them I want another opinion, or why am I not getting a reasonable replacement like the one I had.

    One guard has went downhill the past couple of years, so I would not recommend this warranty company even though I have had them for 15 plus years, tells you they don't give a crap about their tried and true long term customers. I have used them before and they always before checked to see what you had and got you something in the same line of what you had, NOPE service person says this is how one guard is doing small items like this, "We bring whatever we decide (cheapest) and you're forced to take it," real nice customer service one guard.

    A few months ago, I called OneGuard and I let them know that my washing machine wasn't working. They sent a repairman over to try to fix it. They came pretty quick and they were really nice and very professional people. They ordered parts but they just couldn't fix it. The repairman reported it to OneGuard and then OneGuard replaced my washing machine with a new one. Also, I've called OneGuard for other little issues that have come along and they always send someone right away and fix the issue. Overall, I've had a very good experience with them.

They just didn't have the availability so it took a little less than a week to get somebody out to my place. By having the warranty, it gives me a little bit of a buffer.     We've had OneGuard for eight years now, and it has been excellent. They take my request immediately, and I have found some of their vendors I like. They let me use those vendors again when I request them. The vendors are wonderful, and they've been conscious of COVID. I’m quite pleased. OneGuard is expensive, but I'm more interested in the service that I get, not necessarily the price.

    We're very confident with the service we get. Generally, it's the early bird set up, setting up the heat and setting up the air conditioning. We've also had them out working on the air conditioner several years ago, but right now, it's just routine checkups. They’ve helped with the refrigerator and the stove inside too. For our washer, the tech came out and told us it was a simple mistake, no problem.

    My husband and I picked Oneguard as our home warranty on our first home purchase. We picked oneguard for their unknown preexisting condition promise as well as family who has utilize oneguard for multiple years. The first two claims we made with oneguard we were very satisified with. They were able to fix our toilets from continuously running as well as fixed a leaky sink. Then we kept getting emails to do an AC Tune-Up. We decided to do the tune-up to make sure we were prepared for another hot Texas summer (even though we had zero problems with our unit the summer before). When the AC technician came out, he stated we needed to replace our coils. When oneguard contacted us, we were told the coil replacement claim would be denied since this was caused from lack of maintenance from our part.

    Once we explained we have done our maintenance and the AC technician told us this problem was probably known from the previous owners, oneguard requested our inspection. We gave them the inspection and explained we were not notified of the problem which should be covered as an unknown preexisting condition. However, oneguard continued to deny us and stated we were notified of the problem per the inspection report. We asked how we were notified as it doesn't state the coils needed replacement and they stated that the pipe degree was off by 1 degree (per oneguard recommendations and policy) and with that it was considered a known problem. We are very disappointed with oneguard.

    Unless you are going to read the entire policy and compare every inspection result with the policy, I definitely don't recommend oneguard. Their service has declined greatly and many people that I know, that has utilized oneguard in the past year, are no longer renewing due to their policy continually changing and refusing to fix pieces of equipment that they have fixed in previous years.

    They're pretty good and usually pretty quick. But sometimes it's hard to get ahold of them. I had one contractor that was not very good at all. I had a pool guy out here, and he told me he couldn't clean the pool.     We had OneGuard send out a repairman to fix our dishwasher. After replacing the heating element, we noticed a couple months later that the dishwasher was leaking. It turned out that the heating element replaced during the original repair caused the tub to melt. This created a hole in our dishwasher causing a leak, which also damaged our hardwood floor. OneGuard refused to do anything about it. They told me to take it up with the contractor who botched the repair. First of all, I did not select nor hire the contractor. OneGuard did. Despite pretending to care about it they proceeded to give me the runaround when trying to get resolution to this issue. Finally, after deciding life is too short to deal with crooks I called cancel the service. The person who I spoke with was a jerk and wound up hanging up on me. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

    At Arizona, the response on the people OneGuard sends depends on what breaks. With air conditioning service, when something breaks, especially in the summer, it's a joke because I can't get service. Everybody is out. So, it doesn't make any difference having the OneGuard plan because they are backed up. I'm not going to get any quicker service than if I have the service or not. But it's a good plan for if our refrigerator, washer or dryer goes down. I save money.

    Right now, the economy is driving the people to get hired. And how OneGuard picks the companies that come to do our service, some of them I've never heard of. So, they are not picking the top brands. OneGuard doesn't hire those companies whose trucks we see all the time and the people that we see on advertising to do our service. I'm gonna stick with OneGuard, but it depends on the appliance. Another great thing about them is they have heating and air conditioning review service that is great to have. They come out and look at it to make sure our system is working. It's a free service.

    We're dealing with our hot water heater and it's been a back and forth between the contractors. Our hot water heater is tankless and it's shutting itself off. The plumber that OneGuard sent out was saying that it's electrical and requested an electrician to come out. The electrician looked at it and said that it’s the unit. But One Guard's customer service has been good. The companies they send out are usually decent. We've been happy with them.

    I go online instead of calling somebody and waiting and explaining the situation to three different people, being kept transferred. Just for two minutes. Go online, file the claim, see what's going on, and I get an email or call from a technician. It's autopilot. I had two service calls. One for the exhaust fan in one of my bathrooms. That was taken care of. It was just an electric switch on the wall and I thought it was the fan motor. I could have done that myself. But it's peace of mind. Somebody came and took care of it.

    Three weeks ago, we had a loud noise coming from one of our heating units in the attic. I went there to replace the capacitor. It didn't work. I placed a claim with OneGuard and the technician came out. I already called the guy and he asked me what was going on. I said, “I think it's the motor.” I made a video while I was up there so I forwarded him the video from cellphone. He looked at the video and said, “Well, it looks like it's the motor.” I said, “It sounds like a motor because it was a noise like it was pulling too much and then it will get stuck and the unit will go off because of the limiters." So, he brought a motor. He was on time. He went up there and took care of it. The guy was excellent. We're happy with OneGuard. They take care of my problems. And when I call for service, things get done. We will keep them.

    Most of the time, OneGuard's service is positive. I've had a couple that wasn't so great, but I let them know about that. One thing they can improve on is just having people answer the phone more timely. Sometimes, you're on hold forever. You can do claims online, but that just gets put in a queue too and it might not get processed, especially if you do it over a weekend. So, I end up having to call anyway. Most of the technicians have been fine. I've had a couple that wasn't so great, but I always let OneGuard know about that as well. In my first seven years with them, the benefit was mainly the pool and my two AC units. I have since now replaced the two AC units. They offer other services, and I do have them do the weed kill on my rocks every year.

    Our laundry machine has been broken for a month and a half now. It took six days for them to call us back to do an online diagnostics, then another two weeks for them to come out here, do the diagnostics in person. Then the person said that they needed to order some parts. That took another two weeks for them to come back, and only to realize that their boss had ordered the wrong parts. We've settled with OneGuard and they gave us a Lowe's gift card. We've just received our new washer and dryer today, so hopefully, there won't be a problem.

    However, it took a long time for the dishwasher to be fixed. But in the end, it got fixed. But the rest of the services we've gotten, we weren't really satisfied with them. There was also our mainline. We had a problem with it. OneGuard referred someone to us, but it wasn't covered. Overall, it's been frustrating. Also, the first time they said someone would contact us, we've had to call OneGuard again because no one was calling us. Then someone called us. For all the follow-ups that have happened since then, we were given the appliance repair company’s number and then told to deal with them ourselves. The individuals that have come here were professional. The issue was mostly between OneGuard and the appliance companies.

    If anything goes wrong with the main appliances, OneGuard takes care of it. It's good to have them on my side. But one time, I had an issue with a contractor that broke a condensate pipe and did serious damage to the AC. They broke the ceiling and water was leaking on the carpet. They fixed the ceiling but they didn't fix the carpet. One Guard didn't stand by me and wouldn't put pressure on that. That was a bit disappointing.

    Normally, OneGuard is perfect, just beautiful service and everything. But the way they didn't support me 100% all the way was kind of disgusting. I ended up replacing the whole carpet in the entire upstairs. They should come back, and if they care, they still can do something about it.

    There are many different warranty companies out there. I've had decent luck with my warranty company, but it's up to people to try it out for their own use. I bought my house in 2016 and the person that sold me the house recommended OneGuard, but I had an original warranty company. I had them for a year then I switched over to OneGuard and I've been with them ever since. Originally, when I first started out with them, my claims experience was a little difficult, but now it's improved significantly. Submitting claims is insanely easy, ‘cause I can do that online.

    After I submit the case, they assign it to someone and I don't find out who that is until I receive the notification, usually from the provider. They notify me that they've been assigned to my case and let me know their availability and when they can be out, depending on the severity of the situation. The quality of the contractors is good. The last three contractors that I've had got the job done. I recently had an issue with my garbage disposal, and the guy came out, fixed the issue and I didn't get charged anything other than my base fee. I was happy with the service that I received.

    I had two different home warranties, one for my rental property and one for my primary residence. It's so easy to just call OneGuard in and get repairs done. They have done repairs on my AC unit, the microwave, and the dishwasher. The other great thing is sometimes you don't know exactly who to call but you can call OneGuard and there's a provider that they work with that can come over. When we moved to our new property, there was an issue with one of the lines that went to the washing machine on the second floor. It ended up sprouting a leak and I had a second-floor leak onto the first-floor dining area. I went through the insurance and home warranty to cover that one. Finding out the little nozzle was covered and we had somebody over here was very nice.

    On 9/13/21 I initiated a call for an A/C repair with OneGuard for a A/C line that needed repair. As indicated in the contractor’s own words: “Called out on Ceiling damage caused by missing suction line insulation”… I indicated my need in the service call prior to the contractor being called out. The contractor arrived on 9/14 without the needed insulation on the truck. I immediately called OneGuard in his presence to inform them that the contractor did not have the materials, and that it's imperative to have this rectified immediately by ordering the materials and having him come back out because it CAUSED MY CEILING TO FALL IN.

    The Contractor said he had to put in an authorization request for the insulation work with OneGuard...the authorization was never placed, instead either the contractor or OneGuard reported that the work was completed- it was not, and still has not been completed. Aside from in the moment, at the time of the visit, I have spoken to several reps regarding this nightmare service.

    On 9/30 I emailed Marilen ** about this and she told me to disregard the invoice. Then, on a separate service call from December, my Dishwasher deemed unrepairable by OneGuard, and needs to be replaced. They require I replace it with a $700 dishwasher, but will only pay for $159 of the replacement costs- indicating that I owe a $75 service fee.

    OneGuard is attempting to deduct the $75 service fee for the A/C from my replacement check for the dishwasher. Rolling one inefficiency into another. I called back last week to inform them that this fee was supposed to have been waived in September as per Marilen ** and Juan ** told me that in looking in the computer he can verify that the contractor never placed an authorization request. He said that he would escalate this to leadership and reply on Monday. Instead, today- 1 whole entire week later, Juan replies that the work on the line actually was not covered, but that the contractor indicated that work was completed.

    The A/C service call was GROSSLY mishandled, and is causing a trickle down effect in the process of a completely separate service call. I paid $700 for the service last year, and nearly $1000 to renew- at what point is OneGuard going to realize- hey, this isn't about the $75- this is an ethical issue. A dissatisfied customer. I have given OneGuard at least 7 service fees on top of my warranty purchase price in the last year alone. It's not about the $75, it's about the relationship, and unethical dismissal and disregard of my words. I have never been so dissatisfied with a service in all my life. Thanks for causing $19,000 worth of additional damage in my home- I had to replace the ceiling and the antique hardwood floors.

    OneGuard's services have been good so far. For our plumbing claim, we had a very professional and wonderful company. They did the job correctly and everything was great. We had a leak in the bathroom upstairs and the plumber showed us where the problem was and fixed it. But we had a hole in the ceiling and from my understanding, OneGuard cannot honor the cosmetics of the ceiling. So we need to fix that ourselves. Other than that, we've been with OneGuard for a while and we've never had a problem with them. I highly recommend others to use them.

    They fixed my busted pipe. We had a misdiagnosis at first and they rectified that situation, so now my plumbing is fixed. It usually takes between a week or two weeks to see a contractor.     I always have OneGuard come and check out the furnace and then in spring, I have them check out the air conditioning. For the furnace, I've had this one company that I always asked for, and they were training a new person. He checked everything out, but he forgot to turn the furnace back on. So I had to have him come back. But he didn't come back. They sent somebody else.

    I've called OneGuard numerous times. But I did have one really lousy experience last spring. I had trouble with my dishwasher. Water with soap started coming out from under the door. So I called OneGuard the very next morning and asked for someone to come out and look at it. They sent this man and from the very beginning, I wasn't really comfortable with him. He kept on saying that it was my fault because I was using the wrong detergent but I knew I wasn't. He kept on and on and on. He said that I needed to use this dishwasher cleaner. So I said okay.

    When he left, I chased all over the place trying to find this stuff. This was during COVID and it wasn't available. So I bought another detergent and used the dishwasher again and then everything was okay. But the next time I used it, the same old thing happened all over again. So I called back and this man came. He was very indignant that I'm continuing to use the wrong dishwashing detergent but I wasn't. I just got nowhere. So I finally lost patience and asked him to leave. He had a one-track mind and kept asking him to check out various parts of the dishwasher.

    I called OneGuard back and they wanted to send this fellow out again. I told them there was no way that I wanted that man in my house again. So the gal found me another company and I requested that they send me someone who has an excellent history. She had one, but she said I'd have to wait 10 days. I told her that it was fine and I would do that. So I waited the time and this other fellow came out. Within 20 minutes, he had my dishwasher repaired. There was a part that was going bad so that was why it sometimes worked and it sometimes didn't. It had nothing to do with the dishwasher detergent. He had the part in the truck and everything was fine. But I was really disgusted with this first individual. When OneGuard emailed me a report, I put down everything that happened that I wasn't happy with and that was the end of it. But I've had many, many good experiences with OneGuard.

    My experience has always been good with OneGuard. I just call up and tell them what the problem is, they submit whatever I said that I need, and I get a text back from them telling me who's going to be doing the job and that they'll be calling me. It's always smooth and very delightful. I've been with OneGuard going on two years now and it's been a lifesaver. I'm glad I have kept it up. I had to have my refrigerator fixed when I first moved in. I had to get a new microwave and a new garbage disposal through them. The bottom coil on my oven went out two days before Thanksgiving and their contractor came and had it fixed.

    I've had to have a couple of appliances completely replaced. The process, once in a while, depending on what it is and what the way things are right now, trying to get something sooner is just a little difficult, but that's not their fault. They've saved me quite a bit of money. OneGuard has progressed wonderfully. A few years back, I was not real happy. But now, it's instantaneous. I get messages right away. If I have a problem with a repairman coming in and they can't get to me for a week, but I need somebody there sooner, I just call OneGuard up and say, “They can't get here. Can you find somebody else?” And they do and they find it right away.

    I had OneGuard for a couple of years. Then I moved. I had such good service with OneGuard that I thought I would bring it here to this residence. Recently, they came to repair a garage door. It wasn't opening and closing. But it was due to the time of year when the sun was shining on the little eye at the bottom. The tech replaced that and it's worked perfectly since then. The vendors of OneGuard have been great and very professional. I would recommend OneGuard. I haven't run into anything they haven't been able to repair under the terms of the agreement.

    The price of OneGuard is reasonable. I had a recent claim for my dishwasher. The company did very well. The technician was very professional. The soap tray wouldn't open. So, they had to bring me a new soap tray. There was one company that came out for my yard to spot weeds. Then they said, “We only check out the weeds. But for X amount of dollars more, we can do the whole yard, spray it with the GroundClear to kill the weeds and seeds,” which I didn't care. I said, “When you come out here to kill the weeds, you do it all, and do one thing and not the other.”

    The same company came in and I asked them to spray outside for scorpions. They said, “We don't spray outside for scorpions. Matter of fact, we don't spray for scorpions at all. But we'll put in some scorpion traps.” I don't think that's professional. I don't mind paying, but when they start nickel and diming me for extras when they're supposed to do the full thing, it aggravates me. I'd recommend OneGuard. But some of the companies that they represent or have contract with are not really that professional.

    OneGuard is just like every other warranty company. I've had Old Republic before, and they're relatively the same. OneGuard is very helpful and submitting claims has been easy, but it depends on the service I'm looking at. Last year when I tried to use them on the air conditioning tune-up, it was very hard, but the last time I used them last week for the garage, they were very responsive. However, there was no emergency phone number that I could call to get help. Trying to reach somebody was next to impossible. When I called the other day, I was on hold a ridiculous amount of time and my garage door was an emergency, where I had to sleep with the garage door open all night. Other than that, the garage situation was handled very efficiently.

    OneGuard's claim submission process is very upfront and customer service is perfect. I've looked every single one of the techs up and they're all very well-rated with the register of contractors.     I signed up with a different company and had that warranty for about five years, and then it became OneGuard. Our costs doubled since then because we were paying $33 before and now it's nearly 60 bucks a month. Also, the amount that we have to pay for a visit when we schedule costs a lot more for the visit itself. It used to be $40 or $45 and now it's 60.

    Most of the contractors have been good. There was just one plumber that we requested him to wear a mask when he came and he said he's vaccinated and he would not wear a mask. The reason why we asked was because my kids have high risks and they have breathing issues so it's just a precaution. Then he went out to check the water pressure and he couldn't find a higher water pressure on two of those faucets outside so he went to the one that leads to the pool directly, which in itself is not a faucet. It's something modified by the previous owner to put in some pipe to water the bushes. It's a very big outlet of water that sprays and the pressure can be increased or decreased because it goes to the pool. He used that and he claimed that the water pressure coming into the home was too high and that was the reason that all these problems were happening and that the warranty would be void if that would be the case. He was rude and unethical.

    Other than that, my overall experience with all the people has been professional and they come in on time. When the cold freeze happened and then three or four months later, OneGuard was still backed up for plumbing appointments, we made an appointment for a leaky faucet, which was not connected to the thing, and we had to wait a long time for it. They need to find more vendors.

    In the past couple of years, I have not been happy with OneGuard at all. I have not switched but I was gonna check with some other services and possibly switch. Some of OneGuard’s representatives are not helpful at all. It's a hit-and-miss when I call for services. Some of them have very bad attitudes. I have asked to have a manager call me back but I never get called back. OneGuard needs some more training with their customer service people. Their attitude needs to change when people are calling.

    I pay them a monthly service every month and I should have left them by now. I have too much other things going on in my life to sit down and look at these infomercials that have their services and call and get a quote. I have been with them since I had my home, which is since 2013, and in the beginning, I didn't call too much because it's not like I have that much stuff breaking down in my home. But when I called, there were times when there was terrible customer service. We have a very unhappy customer here.

    I haven't been happy with OneGuard. I’ve had it on my house since I bought it in 2015 and I have worked with plenty of warranty services before. In the state I was in, they didn't have OneGuard. They had American Home Shield. But it was already on the house for the previous owners, so that's what they sold it with. I understand COVID has driven prices up but I've paid on time and in full. I also haven’t made very many claims at all because I take good care of my house. This last year, my pool heater didn't work and OneGuard used some bogus thing such as the ground was not level so they were not covering the heater because it made the water drip into this thing. Obviously, it was the age of it and that was not true. It was leaking from a leak beforehand. They inspected the house and it was always functioning.

    OneGuard finds reasons why not to cover. I also had a hot water heater go out and they told me the pressure coming into my house was too high so they wouldn't cover it. But they covered the valve. It's all covered on my house, so it was an excuse to not cover something. So, I paid for the warranty and for the hot water heater as well as the valve. It was disappointing. When it comes to the coverage, it’s excuses. But everyone you talk to try and get people out in a timely manner. And the people you talk to on the phone are very nice.

    I don't know if the rest of the home warranty companies aren't doing the same thing. So I can't make a judgment call on why they're choosing it. But if the house has been in the exact same thing and you’re asking for coverage, I don't get why they would choose not to cover. Because the ground doesn't sink. Then, when I talked to my pool guy, the guy said that it was not why the thing failed. It was just an excuse.

    When requesting for service, the reps answer the phone good and they don't keep me on hold for an hour. They get back to me. I have to wait for the technician to call me and confirm the appointment. So, it takes a little while but it's not a bad thing. Everybody is courteous and the people that come into the house are very nice about adhering to the COVID restrictions. Overall, the experience is okay. It's just that I don't know how badly I need the service. I needed something done to the toilets, the dishwasher and something else, and I had to pay three different companies $75 to do each job. It cost me a lot of money because some of these jobs are small and they may not even cost $75 to pay somebody to do it.

    OneGuard sent somebody to change the locks but the person didn't change the locks. He changed the cylinders and he only had to change two, and that cost me $75. I could have bought the locks for $30 and the cylinders for $30 and put them in myself. But other than that, OneGuard is okay and the $75 will be nothing compared to the price that you would have had to pay if you had to pay for a technician to come out of your pocket.

    The representatives at OneGuard were extremely helpful, kind and patient. They reflected well on the company. The times that I have done a claim, I went online, paid a fee and then, I received a call either the next day or the day after by the company that was gonna provide the service. The contractors all have great customer service but I noticed that there’s a pattern. They’re rated low online so it makes me wary.

    The company that delivered my last appliance was supposed to hook it up but they didn't plug it in. So, I hear the word “Install appliances” and I think install it and plug it in, and they didn't do that. They just delivered the washer. They connected the hoses but did not plug in the washer to the outlet. They said that it was because they couldn't reach behind. The outlet is behind the dryer but the washer is 166 pounds. So, when I got home, I had to try to move the washer again because they left the electrical cord taped on the washer. They didn't even make it accessible to me.

    Most of the negative reviews was that OneGuard doesn't fully install the appliances the way they should. So, I had to call a friend to come and help me move the washer. He moved the washer just enough, so he can get the electrical cord. All he had to do was literally move the dryer, which is much lighter, about four inches to the left and he was able to plug it in. So, the reps were just not trying. Still, OneGuard gives me peace of mind knowing that if anything were to break down, I can easily go on the website and make a claim, and have what’s wrong with it figured out in the next couple days. It's a more affordable way to get services. They have come through with a couple of things that I needed.

    I have been very displeased with OneGuard. I had a couple of situations in the last few years where I've been tempted to drop them. I had a situation where, right around Christmas, the hot water heater went out on us. They came out here and left us without anything, because they said they wouldn't replace it. We were a week or two without a hot water heater, so I had to go out and purchase my own, which was not right. In the last month, I had a motor go out on my pool. They replaced it and a week later, the motor that they replaced it with started making the same noise, going out. I sent a couple of emails, talked to three different people, and no help at all. Fortunately, I contacted the rep, Camille, and she was very helpful.

    We created request for dishwasher repair on 8/3 with service request#**. It took them 10 days to confirm that it cannot be repaired and has to be replaced. We confirmed on August 14th that we would choose for the option to replace the appliance replaced as opposed to getting cash. It took them another 10 days to place the order for replacement which they only did after multiple follow-ups.

    Finally on August 23rd they provided us with vendor name - DARYL Flood Logistics who would ship the appliance. However we called the vendor, they confirmed that they do not have service to any appliance to our location. We called back to One Guard immediately to inform that the shipping company doesn't ship to our location, they ignored and asked us to wait till the ETA mentioned in the email which was 9/18/2021. When we called on 9/18/2021, they asked us to call back on 9/20/2021. When we reached out on 9/20/2021, they said the shipping company doesn't deliver to our location. We have been calling everyday now requesting supervisor to call us back, but there has been no response past 3 days. This company is the most unprofessional service we have ever seen who is not responsible and deliver poor quality service.

    I am pregnant and informed them that not having dishwasher has been so inconvenient, but they completely ignored my situation and now it has been almost 2 months we have no dishwasher. We requested to change back to cash back option so we can install the dishwasher ourselves today. But upon this request, One guard informs us saying we will be charged for restocking the order we had placed almost 1 month back whereas we have no tracking number or status where this dishwasher is coming from since a month now. We have been disgusted with the customer service who do not even try to resolve the issue and just give random stories everyday with different reason that the dishwasher is on its way. We now are stuck and feel left with no option in this scenario. I will be having a baby soon and badly needed a dishwasher to get started.

    The inspector of the house said that the pressure in my lines might be too high, so I had a plumber come out and check. I then had a problem with the dishwasher, and someone came to deal with that. I had another one just recently wherein my heating system had a problem with the thermostat, and I had somebody come for that as well. I've used OneGuard three times, and each time, they've sent a very competent company out to do the work. The ease of scheduling an appointment has been the best though. I've used another home warranty company in the past, and it was very difficult to schedule. I've never needed to talk to a live person with OneGuard, but with the other company, I could never get ahold of someone that could resolve an issue for me. I'm really pleased with how easy it is to use OneGuard. It's been great.

    One of the best things about OneGuard is the customer service and I've got a very good rep, Deb. She's wonderful and we've become friends throughout the years. She is really involved. She knows the things backwards and forwards and I know if there are any issues, she'll get right in the middle and take care of it. Also, so far, the contractors that OneGuard has dealt with have been real good so I recommend them over all the other home warranties. I also like paying the $69 upfront and not having to deal with the contractor for payment. They are limited on how far they go out, though, and I kind of wish for everybody else's sake that they went a little further. However, I'm glad in a way that they don't. They keep it small and our service seems to stay better if they're not that huge.

    It has been three weeks since we initially contacted OneGuard on our policy to report a failure with the air conditioning the day after closing. We are in San Antonio where the heat index has been consistently 100 or above. We are dangerously hot and are planning legal action against the company. We have logged 21 phone calls and received 5 or 6 in return; sent 13 emails to our rep Katlyn ** with only 4 return emails; 3 emails to Inspections Group with no responses; and 3 times accessed the portal on the website asking for help. We have asked for a supervisor 3 times, to no avail. The listing agent whose client purchased the warranty has been involved and she can get no response either. When contacted, no one has been helpful.

    Responses are a mishmash of "give us 48 hours and we will have a supervisor contact you"--we have requested this 3 times with no callback, or "the fault is with the service provider, he has not responded to our requests" (maybe you should use a reputable service provider rather than a man in a truck with stick on letters) and other excuses. No one has helped us and no one seems the least bit interested in trying. There are tons of negative reviews on this company on various sites including the Better Business Bureau of Phoenix: 254 complaints closed in the last 3 years, and 144 in the past 12 months. What you should pay attention to is the claims that have not been resolved. What we are facing is standard operating procedure. Ignore, evade and lie. We're frankly surprised that the AG of Arizona or Texas isn't interested in the repetitive fraud against consumers. The name on the warranty is Cindy **.

    Submitting a claim is quick. It depends on how fast the contractor actually schedules but the automated system works pretty well. Over the years, I've gotten several different contractors for the same type of issues. Some are better than others. I would like to have steadier contractors and OneGuard should not keep switching them. Other than that, I'm satisfied and I've recommended OneGuard to other people. But the terms and conditions of the new policies are different from the ones I have. The newer contracts are not as good.

    Submitting a claim over the phone has been easy but online has been a pain. I sold my old house and got a new one and the new property didn't really show up online at first. Also, OneGuard just assigns somebody but from there, they don't check on timeliness. The last three times that I've had to call in somebody, I had to call OneGuard back and say that time is not gonna work and that I can't wait three days for something to get taken care of. As soon as I do that, the rep says, “Okay, I found something that’s going to be there quicker.” If OneGuard just did that from the get go, it would have been a lot better of an experience. It was unnecessary hassle. Other than that, the interactions with the people themselves have been great.

    OneGuard referred me to a company that took 10 days to NOT fix my leaking pipe. I asked for authorization to use someone else before I had worse damage and incurred more expenses. The restoration company said they had to pull their drying equipment if I didn't get it fixed. My home insurance said they wouldn't cover the secondary damage if I let it get worse. OneGuard never even replied which left me with no choice but to use someone else. The other plumber came in less than 24 hrs and fixed in the issue in only 2 hours. OneGuard will not pay the bill because I used a different contractor - a contractor that was far more competent than their contractor. It is only $750, pennies for them, a lot of money for me. All because you cannot get a hold of someone to help you in an emergency situation.

    I usually phone in OneGuard for my claims and it has been pretty straightforward. Their reps have been really good and I never had a problem with the techs who came out. Someone told me that they've used different warranty companies that they've had problems with where they would say that this and that were not covered or they were out of luck. But I've never experienced that, so I would say that for all the years that I've been with OneGuard, I've never been disappointed.

    One Guard would not fix my A/C when it had been under warranty for 7 years while it was 100 degrees outside. Left me with no help, no return call, wouldn't send a repairman out over the weekend. Once someone finally came out three days later, they determined my A/C unit needed a new compressor. I called One Guard to ask what the process was to repair this, they had to check and call me back. Never returned my calls, I explained it is 100 degrees in Texas as it was summer time, and I needed an answer immediately. Never returned my call, I had to call back several times & finally the customer service department said they would not cover this due to A/C was dirty. I don't recommend this company, also had other problems with things they would not cover that was stated in the Contract that they do cover.

    DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! This company will do ANYTHING they can to avoid having to cover anything. The purchase of our home came with a two year contract with OneGuard... And quite honestly we would have been better off without them. Our refrigerator stopped worked... We called OneGuard, paid the service fee, and were then asked for our home inspection as a push back for fixing our system... It took THREE MONTHS to get a new refrigerator and having to call in several times.

    Next our air conditioner started having issues... We called them out, the technician 'fixed it' ... and 5 days later it stopped working again. I called them back out and they claimed this was a new issue, and therefore needed to pay another service fee... Here we are, 2 weeks later, and the system has stopped working entirely. They charged ANOTHER service fee, took our system apart and disconnected it from the home and said it needed to be replaced but we would have to wait through the weekend, it is now Monday and they are refusing to fix anything saying it is 'too hard to access', but their technician didn't have trouble taking our system apart.

    Oh and don't bother paying extra for help to cover your pool... WHAT A JOKE! We have a pool guy who comes every month, and my husband maintains it in between... We had some monsoons, shortly after the pool started leaking DE into the pool... We paid the service fee, they sent out some terribly rude technicians, and then claimed they will not cover anything on the pool due to "improper maintenance care". They never did an inspection on the system when I bought the home, but again will do anything they can to fight having to actually fix anything.

    I've now spend countless hours on hold with OneGuard and still have no AC and a broken pool. This month alone they charged me close to $500 in service fees and informed us today that they will not be covering anything. They claim the AC is 'too hard to access' and that the pool was 'not maintained properly'... Even though we have a pool guy who comes bi-weekly. Again if you're looking for a home warranty - BE WARNED.

    I've been with OneGuard since they came into existence here in the valley. I used to belong to ServiceOne and they took over OneGuard. I've had really good experience with OneGuard. I only had one bad experience recently with one vendor, but they're still working on it. It’s a bit slow, but aside from that, I have good experience. One thing OneGuard could improve on is making sure that their resolution department does call people back because twice, I didn't get a call back. I finally got someone the other day. If there is a problem, we need a phone number or a person that we could call and get through to in these tough time. But they've always been giving great service other than that. I love that they always respond quickly and that the vendors have all been reliable. So, I've been very happy with them.

    I pick up my phone or go on a web browser and enter a ticket. It's drop-dead simple to enter a service request online. I have a recall pending right now. A sprinkler repair guy, what he fixed isn't fixed. So, I just had to have them come back out. But I'm sure it's just something he overlooked. So far, so good. My air conditioner is working great. That's the last thing that I had done. The tech fixed it. I was shocked I got same day service. And the guy took 20 minutes to fix it. I got lucky and dodged a bullet. We wouldn't be alive without air conditioning, because we're in Texas and it's freaking hot. You have to do your own research because there are other warranty companies out there, but I've used OneGuard and had success.

    We took a one-year warranty from One Guard. Our HVAC unit went out on the 3rd month, so we called for One Guard to file a claim and get service. The company (Speedy Electric & A/C) they sent out said that the compressor went out and needs to be replaced and OneGuard will cover it. They said the filter caused the damage. While the filter was not that dirty since it's replaced 3 months back. The airflow was fine. The air filter for the upstairs unit was dirtier than the one that broke. This home warranty is a waste of money and this company is nothing more than a scam. Their contractor will say something to you and report a different thing to Oneguard company. I've used many home warranty companies, but this is the worst. Don't waste your money and time on them

    Everything's good with OneGuard. My latest claim was for a hot water heater. That was probably two years ago and the experience was good as far as the tech's work was concerned. He did call one of his buddies who was in the water damage mitigation business and had him come up. Maybe he was getting a kickback from the water damage mitigation company because they came up fairly quickly and quoted a really high price to repair water damage surrounding where the water heater was. I was immediately suspicious. So, I called somebody else, and they came in with a much lower quote.

    I have a claim for my air conditioning unit and OneGuard has been very helpful. When I first put the claim in, it took almost a week out before the first company could come out. I called and OneGuard was able to find me another company that could come sooner. And I’ve been going back and forth with that company, coming up with different things and what could be the issue with the AC. It turned out to be their problem at the beginning. But OneGuard has been working with me diligently as far as getting it resolved and I’m waiting now for the additional company to come out today to get it really resolved.

    We had an issue with our refrigerator holding temperature in the refrigerator side. I submitted a request online and I got an instant notification via email saying who the contractor would be that would be coming out. Then, I got a call in under four hours from the vendor that OneGuard had chosen and we set up the service. The techs came out the next day and they replaced an item. We were also having issues with the icemaker, so they took a look at that. They had to come back out with parts a second time around and they replaced the icemaker components. But they were back out today again because the fix did not work.

    We had a separate claim for an air conditioner system that was not operating and it would be nice if prior to them charging the service fee, they could let us know if, based on the diagnosis of what's happening, it really requires the home warranty intervening or just having a contractor come out. In our case, the techs came out and work wasn't covered. But it was pretty cut and dried based upon the symptoms of what was happening, that it was tied to something that was not going to be covered in the first place.

    We have been with OneGuard for 8 years. Up until today, their coverage has been good. This week my 55 gallon Sears water heater started leaking. Everything that is readable in the contract simply says that water heaters are covered. There is no indication of a co-pay or fine print. OG had previously replaced our clothes washer at no additional charge. That is what I expected for the water heater. Imagine my surprise and disappointment when they told me it would be $960! You can buy a comparable Rheem at Home Depot for $780 plus installation. Bottom line: Water Heaters are not covered by One Guard. It is now time to renew our contract. This $1,212.00 renewal will not be happening.

    For the most part, the techs that OneGuard got the job done and were professional. In a number of occasions, we've had to pay in addition to the $75 fee that they charge you every time we call the warranty service, which then makes you want to get a little bit smarter on when you should call them and when you shouldn't. Our experience with the locksmith was especially interesting. He got the job done, but it was very difficult to get a concrete timeframe when he would come to the house. He said he'd be here on a certain day and that he'd call when he was on his way, but he didn't give us at least a four-hour window, so we didn't have to be here all day waiting, because we had to be here when that was done.

    We had a claim for the AC unit and the techs took a few days to come out. But for the next claim that we had for a running faucet, I called OneGuard back to see if they could get somebody out sooner because the first person we talked to told us someone would be out in four or five days. And the lady was wonderful. She called around while I was on hold and got somebody out there within the next hour. Aside from that, most of our stuff were repaired on the same day that the tech came out.

    With OneGuard, you don't have to really search for someone for the problem. You can just call one person and they get in contact with the right people. If you're a new homeowner, it's convenient. When you have a claim with them, you can call or you can go online, but I find calling better. And as for the technicians, everybody has been professional, helpful, and happy to help educate, which is an important part of the service industry.

    OneGuard is very easy to work with. Their contractors are either excellent or absolutely horrible. There's no in-between. But if I ran into a problem, I’d contact OneGuard and let them know. They've always sent a different contractor out. They've been very good about that. They just need to vet their companies that they work with better because some of them are real trash. The lowest bid is a factor, but it isn't always the best bet.

    In May 2021, I requests a service call for a water leaking from the base of the commode. I knew all they needed to do was replaced the wax seal therefore IGD Plumbing was sent. Since I am a Senior Citizen and a woman, Tyler the repairman from IGD thought he could throw plumbing terminology at me to sound knowledgeable. He sound like an apprentice, not bonded or licensed that led me to record the conversation and take pictures. In addition, I notified OneGuard right after the visit of my uneasiness with him. I don’t know if it was notated because they notate what protects the company.

    However, a week later the commode started leaking from the same area. Unfortunately, I got Tyler again from IGD and his inability to diagnose or resolve the issue says “Oh, the screw from the flange is loose” then proceeded to tighten them. One of the screw he tighten high broke the flange again. I contacted OneGuard for recall service. The flange was worn but not broken prior to the initial call. IGD caused more damage than repairs. I’d clean up the walk before he got there and water leak only when flushed. He did not see any water and I told him it happens when it flushed. He said, "I do not see any water" and One Guard will not authorized if he did not see any water so next time take pictures. Tyler says I can ogg the line if I wanted but does it require that. So he ogged the line but Yesenia ** says they did not charge One Guard which was odd.

    My question is why would he say he ogged the line and not want to be paid for it. The reason is he lied to me about it so dishonest and these are the companies OneGuard sending into their customers' homes. I had pictures and my trust in his ability to resolve the issue or report to One Guard the truth…conversation was recorded again. I called OneGuard again and of course IGD was sent again to replace the flange but he wanted to repair the flange…how do you repair a flange? By that time I was done with incompetence action of IGD and specifically Tyler. I was very firm with my expectations for repair, he says, "You do not want the flange repaired so I need to come back." I said, "You were authorized to replace the flange not repair it" and he said, "I do not have a flange on my truck."

    In between waiting for repairs, I asked OneGuard for a second opinion that knew what they doing. They sent Precision Plumbing. Company agreed the flange was the issue but OneGuard was looking other reasons not to honor the repairs. How is it the Plumbing Company do have what’s needed for repairs especially when you know what is required? I mention the second opinion and Tyler said why didn’t Precision make the repairs. To cover himself, he told OneGuard they would not return because I was rude. What?!

    I have found that OneGuard uses different tactics to circumvent the licensing guidelines to contract with companies unlicensed and inexperienced repairmen. Therefore, the customers is out of pocket for repairs they should honor. Yesenia ** is the customer relation contact in which she attempted to gaslight me into accepting $650.00 for repairs to avoid any additional cost to OneGuard. They’ve done this to a lot of Senior Citizens and other customers for their bottom line.

    In my research of this company, they were investigated under the name Landmark Home Warranty so One Guard Home Warranty created to continue to scam customers and use the loop holes to continue their business. The BBB complaints are all the same complaint and reviews so they are notorious for collecting premiums and not honoring repairs with disreputable vendors. This is a disreputable, conniving and crooked company!! If anyone decide to have OneGuard Home Warranty, do your research on them. As of July 26, 2021, my plumbing issue hasn’t been resolved and One Guard used 3 different reasons why it’s not covered.
