    It wasn't OneGuard when I started with them almost 17 years ago. It was ServiceOne. Every single person, except one time, was ultra courteous, polite, and conversational. They were very aware of keeping things clean when they were done with whatever they were doing. Washer, dryer, garbage disposal, refrigerator, oven, or replacing parts. They have always done a good job, except one time. It was strange because it was almost like the poor man didn't know what he was doing. I basically had to help him put the kitchen faucet on the sink. That was eight years ago. I’ve had other home warranty companies send me stuff, and I would never change. I’ve always been very pleased with OneGuard. The only thing I noticed over the years is that it takes longer waiting for someone to get on the phone. They want you to do it online. I’m almost 77 years old and I hate using the computer. I'd rather talk to someone and that's what I've always done.

    A week ago, the top shelf of the dishwasher fell. OneGuard sent a service repair person out from an appliance repair company. We had to wait a week to get the part and then he fixed the dishwasher. He was nice and cleaned up everything. However, the top drawer slides out by itself and some installation on the side is showing. We're going to be calling the technician today or tomorrow because it's not right. We've been with OneGuard since 2008 so we know who they delegate as the repair person. We’re real pleased with OneGuard. With the dishwasher, though, we had not had that person before and we're not real pleased with him.

    I've had OneGuard since March of 2017. Sometimes it's fairly easy, and sometimes it's very hard to get them to answer the phone. I stood in my attic a few weeks ago for almost 40 minutes waiting for them to answer the phone for the air conditioning repair guy. Then a few times I have been disappointed that I had to pay a lot more than they did for repairs.

    One of the service calls I had, I asked the pool repair person to wait till I got through to OneGuard so that we could make arrangements for him to go ahead and fix my thermostat in my pool heater. He just left without saying anything or doing anything I asked. So I have forbidden them to ever come back. And then I had another case where one of the air conditioning people failed to call me twice. I couldn’t reach them, and they didn’t call me. I got a different one. Today, I called OneGuard about the swimming pool, and it was easy. But the lady read me something off of the report which was not correct. She said I had rodent damage to the basket. It was the pool heater wiring that had rodent damage.

    I like OneGuard's response time and choice in vendors. There have only been a couple of vendors that I didn't care for. It's important to get a home warranty. It pays for itself annually for me.     I called my real estate agent, other agents and other people, and OneGuard was highly recommended. They were great. They reached out to me right away when I called them to tell them I was getting a new home and if they could assist me. They were very kind and it worked very well. They do wonderful. However, I might have to call them again. I’m not sure that the washing machine is working the way it's supposed to be. It only fills up to two or three inches. I’ll have to wait and work on that though. It’s a digital type of washing machine. As far as when the guy came out to work on my locks, he changed my locks and gave me my keys in 10 minutes. I was impressed. I called, they made up a ticket right away, and I had somebody out there within a day or two.

    OneGuard was recommended to me by my Realtor when we purchased the home. We requested a couple of services recently. We did them at the same time. There was an electrical repair and then a stovetop vent repair. For the electrical, there was an outlet that kept getting reset when we would have a storm. So the technicians came and changed the outlet box. It was great. They were very efficient and easy to talk to. For the stovetop vent fan, it hasn't been repaired. He had to order a part. So, we're still waiting for the part to come in and them to come back. Our claim experience with OneGuard has been fine. There was one day the website was down and I wasn't able to access anything. But other than that, once I can get on it, it's easy to use.

    When we bought our house, the previous seller went half and half with us on a home warranty. They chose OneGuard and we've been thoroughly pleased with how they've helped us out. Our most recent claim was for our air conditioner which had a housing that was misplaced such that the fan blades were hitting it. It sounded like it was falling apart. OneGuard sent someone out the next day and got it taken care of pretty quickly. The tech was a nice guy and he fixed our problem. I asked him what was wrong and he gave me a straight answer.

    Last year, we also submitted a claim to them for our garage door that wasn't working. They ended up replacing it for us. Two years ago, OneGuard gave us $1,000 towards a new air conditioning unit after the compressor went out on the unit we had. So far, the service has been easy to use and the contractors we have gotten have all been great.

    I put in a claim with OneGuard on September 25th to fix a shower valve, so the temperature would be controlled. And it's still not completed almost a month later. It took five plumber visits to the house already. During that time, they tried to use a wrench to undo the valve, and that they said it was too tight, couldn't do it. Then they came back and put some chemicals on it to see if it was just corrosion. That didn't work. Then they came back out and tried to wrench it again, it didn’t work. Then they asked the home warranty company to pay to replace the whole valve, which means if they have to cut the copper tubing and just put in a new valve. Then that's taken a couple of weeks. That's where I'm at still. Still, nothing's happened.

    I called and I waited on the line on hold for an hour and 10 minutes, and then I finally got someone who put me on hold for another 20 minutes to tell me that they're gonna call the plumbing company back. So then, they called the plumbing company. I talked to the plumber again. Then I had to call back again ‘cause no one set up an appointment to do anything, and they didn't approve the bill of repairing it yet. Then they have agreed to pay the bill.

    I have had a prior claim. It was a refrigerator, something that took about two and a half weeks to repair. It was just a simple electrical board from a SubZero refrigerator. For whatever reason, they didn't wanna pay for the bigger items first. So, they tried at least these little fixes that didn't work. Then eventually, they realized they needed to replace the item that they knew needed to be replaced. This is my fourth different home warranty company and they're all very similar to this process. If you can tolerate getting four to six weeks to repair an item, then they're worth it. But if not, they're not really worth it.

    We’ve carried warranty on our vehicles, and we saw the advantage of that. So, we decided to do the same thing with our home. We went with OneGuard and our experience has been good up until a couple of months ago. Our clothes washer went out, and it took three months to get the part. Then when the technician troubleshoot the washer, that part was the wrong part. It did not need that part. So then, the next technician ordered the part, and they got it back in two weeks.

    Then about the same time, I had a leak under our bathroom sink, and I called OneGuard to ask them if I had coverage for that, and they said I did and that that was considered the plumbing. They sent down a guy. So, the tech came out and he said that it did not cover it because the leak was in a water line so that becomes part of the faucet, and the warranty doesn't cover the faucet. I wish they would’ve told me that from the start. I wouldn’t have them send out a technician and pay that money out. My experience was good at the beginning when we first picked up OneGuard. But then, they would not respond to my request or my emails. I would have to send a third request for them to respond, and it would take them two weeks before they respond.

    When I bought my house, my Realtor set us up with OneGuard. They got very high recommendation and I thought I'd give them a try from that. I've filed claims to them multiple times. In getting the claims done, I've gotten great customer service with OneGuard. However, most of the times, I give OneGuard a call and find out that the issue I'm having is not covered under warranty. When I call in, the representatives answer the phone. I can speak to a human being, which is really nice. The hold times aren't too bad. I don't think I've ever sat on the phone for more than 15 minutes waiting for someone. It's even been less than five minutes to get to a representative.

    With the choice of vendors, I've had a really bad experience with the last two that they sent out. I had a leak happening in the upstairs of my house. They sent out a plumber who correctly identified the issue, but did not follow through with it. The issue was a clogged drain from the AC. We did a partial test. But since we didn't test out fully, we didn't catch the clogged part. He ended up cutting a couple holes in my downstairs ceiling and then left me with a couple holes in there. I know plumbers don't typically do that. But had he gone through on his initial feeling and tested out the pipes correctly, the issue would have been resolved. I wouldn't have had the holes in the ceiling. I wouldn't have made a call to the HVAC contractor for OneGuard, who then came out and gave the initial suspicion as a clogged drain pipe.

    However, after taking a closer look, he misdiagnosed it and said that it was the drain pan, which is also not covered by the warranty and he quoted me around $700 to get that replaced. I took a look later on and saw where it was overflowing. I spent some time, cut out the plumbing of that drain pipe, took it outside, cleaned it out, and reassembled it with a new piping from Home Depot, which cost me about eight bucks. I have not seen the AC leaking again. This isn't representative of OneGuard. When I called the second time to get them to dispatch HVAC people, they did let me know that the condensation pan was not covered by the warranty. I ended up reaching out to the contractor instead of going through OneGuard.

    One time, during the first year of the ownership, my water heater gave out. That was the one time that I gave them a call. They sent out the same plumbing company, Approved Plumbing. They did get that water heater replaced for the service charge of $70. So, that was a really good experience with them. However, the three subsequent calls for issues with HVAC were not covered under warranty.

    I've made multiple claims with OneGuard. The most recent one was my dishwasher. It wasn't heating. The water wasn't washing the dishes. The soap dispenser wasn't working too. This was back in the middle of August. The guys came out, they looked at it and they said, “All right. We're gonna order all the parts we need to.” Three weeks later, they came out and they had all the parts, but they only replaced the blades that spray the water. They said they weren't gonna replace the soap dispenser because there wasn’t a part. I said it's fine.

    I had to make another claim again to have them back out here to replace the soap dispenser. They came out and looked, and they're supposed to be here today. They rescheduled three times because they haven't had the parts or the parts been broken. It's been almost two months now. But OneGuard handled everything well. With the other claims I've had with OneGuard, they've all been perfect. I've had a dryer replaced and a couple of things replaced, that went well. Everything else has been smooth. OneGuard has been perfect. I've recommended them to quite a few people.

    We have renewed our home warranty with OneGuard. We've been here in various parts of Dallas-Fort Worth for eight years and we've renewed our home warranty every year. I pay for a year at a time, and when it comes up this next year to renew, I definitely will do it again with OneGuard. Submitting a claim with OneGuard is absolutely painless. I always call my claims in on the telephone and it is wonderful. Their customer service is grand. In all the claims that we've had, and we've had a few because we've been in three houses, I had a bad experience with one service company. I called OneGuard. I told them that I was not pleased, that the problem wasn't taken care of and I didn't want that company back again. They refunded my service call fee and sent another company out to fix the problem.

    OneGuard was recommended by our realtor. As far as submitting and going through the phone call, initially, one of the first ones I tried calling, it took a while for the rep to answer. I know they're really busy. But sometimes I would be on hold for 15 minutes before I would get an answer. But once they answered, they would quickly determine the path forward.

    I put in the claim just yesterday morning. The contractors, Cowtown, called me an hour after I put in the claim. Then they came out this morning around 9:30. So, it was a really quick response as far as getting someone out here. As far as the repair, they determined that the equipment that is covered was damaged. Now, they are working through OneGuard to determine the path forward and how to go forward.

    I haven't received a call yet from Cowtown. They were just here a couple of hours ago. But they said they would have to reach back to OneGuard to make sure everything's covered and to buy the new piece of equipment that needs to be replaced, and to reschedule to come back out. They were really good. He was an experienced technician for 22 years and he was very polite. He was also able to quickly determine the issue and let me know. He answered other questions as well. So, that was very nice. I feel very fortunate that we did get OneGuard. However, at the beginning when we first moved, there were additional items that we ended up paying out-of-pocket we didn't realize that OneGuard had coverage until after I reread all the things. But it's been really helpful, even though I missed a few things.

    Submitting a claim to OneGuard is easy. You just go online and plug it in. I do wish they would let you be a little more specific with the claim when you put it in there. Sometimes, there's not quite enough options to choose from as far as what's going on. But the website is really easy to use. They give us a time frame on when to expect the contractors. It doesn't say when they're coming out, but it does give you a four-hour business window that they'll call you. They rarely ever do. I always have to call them, but that's not OneGuard's fault. That's the contractor's fault. Still, the contractors have all been very good.

    Our air conditioner has gone out three times since we purchased a home warranty from OneGuard. The first time they told us there was nothing wrong with it. The second time they reworked the wiring. We are now sitting in a hot home, in Texas, once again. Each time this has happened it has taken several days for them to respond to us. Emails go unanswered. The weekend is used as an excuse for the lack of a response. We have spent multiple hours on hold only to never have the call answered. Text messages have been ignored. This company places zero value on the customer experience. I strongly recommend that consumers avoid them at all cost.

    Submitting claims is an easy process of me giving OneGuard a call and telling them what's wrong and what I need. The reps have all given me proper information or sent me where I needed to be. They were all perfect. Depending on who it is, I get a phone call within four hours depending on the time I put it in, or first thing next morning when the company opens up. And then from there, it's on to the company on when they send the actual contractor out. We've only had good experiences so far. If anything were to come up, OneGuard handles it quickly.

    What a waste of time and money. I used their clean and check air conditioning service. Tech didn’t clean or check. Finally found out I have an air conditioner part needs replaced after tech did a lousy job. I called for one other claim. They denied it, customer service lied and was rude and denied it for a reason that that is a lie. Just suggested I call the guy who came out. Don’t waste your money with these jokers. You're far better off to just save the money for repairs and call Angie's. list.

    I've had them since they were a different name and they switched over. They’re working and the quality is good. The last contractor that I had was the garage people and they were excellent. For the most part, I have no problems with the contractors. There's a few that I've had that I didn't care for at all and I expressed my opinion on that and requested not to send them to me. It's pretty easy to submit the claim. I call them and I've had an excellent experience with them. All in all, we're good all the way through.

    My husband tried to do a claim on the app, but then nobody contacted us, so I ended up having to call in the next day to get a work order put in because apparently, it wasn't done the night before when he submitted online. After being on the phone for almost an hour, they said that they couldn't get anybody out until Monday, and that was on Friday. It wasn't a great experience. We ended up having to have no hot water for the whole weekend.

    I'm pretty dissatisfied that we had to wait until Monday, and also with the wait time on the phone. We eventually got it resolved. The contractor that came out looked at our water heater, and he was able to fix the leak. We haven’t had any issues since then. The flat fee for the issue is nice, and it definitely saves money in the long run if you have to have a water heater replaced. Overall, we've had a couple issues with OneGuard but we've been able to resolve them pretty quickly, which has been really nice.

    When I go online, sometimes I'm not sure if the request went through or not. So sometimes, I would call. When I called I was on wait for a long time, so I hung up and just hoped that my request went through. If they could just send a confirmation to my email. Usually, I get one the next day. But when you're doing the request, then you're not sure. Because they're supposed to have the guy call you within four hours after the request. Then you're not sure until you hear from the service people about the request. Other than that, I've had good results. OneGuard is fast to get your service to you and the service people are good.

    We have a swimming pool and we had one experience where early on, a pump went out. When I called, a young lady told me that it wasn't covered. We fixed it, and then I found out later that it was covered. Now, I submitted the receipt of the pool person that came out and changed the pump to try to get reimbursed, but I haven't heard anything since. If I got reimbursed for my pump, which they should've covered to start with, I'd be very satisfied. I wouldn't recommend one of the plumbing people as well. We had them three times, and they came out, did a two-minute job, and took off. They didn't explain anything. The guy didn't even wanna be there. These two instances were the worst, but the rest of the time, most of the people that showed up did a good job.

    I got OneGuard for my Phoenix AZ house during Aug 2016- provided by the seller (Opendoor). Overall satisfied with the service. There were two occasions where the work done was not good - so they sent somebody to fix it within those 30 days. Quality of contractors is good - they are above average. Overall they had approved almost 85% - 90% of my claims. Other services which are add ons are good. Where oneguard really need to improve is as follows:

    1. Online system has got problems - no credit card payment possible.
    2. Online system has got problems in terms of password issue - you have to live with their reset password only - thus I don't want to store any payment method due to security issues.
    3. Cancellation fees is much higher.

    4. Waiting on the phone call is longer.

    Essentially they should revamp their IT and customer service department otherwise they are all good.

    We've been loyal customers with OneGuard for years. I would almost venture to say maybe 10 years. I go back with them when they were just based in Phoenix. There was a real estate agent that turned us on to them when we bought a condo in North Phoenix a while back. We're not in that condo anymore, but every time we get a new house, we renew with them immediately. We're now out in Gilbert and this is our fourth house with them.

    Submitting claims is easy, but when I'm using my iPad tablet, their online system is not user-friendly to submit a claim, so I usually end up calling them. As a home warranty company though, they've always been very responsive and they're really good about letting me request somebody as well. When I make an appointment for our semiannual AC check with them, I always request the same company and they keep that information on my file. Over the years, I've gotten used to things enough times that there are certain contractors that I ask for. I've also had them red-mark a couple of companies. I don't want them out here again.

    They should keep up the good work. They've merged with another company, so we've been a little nervous that the service is gonna start slipping, but OneGuard has been professional, efficient, and timely. The relationship is easy, even when it comes up for annual renewal. Even if it's a light year, it's insurance. We’d still use them for various things, including maintenance stuff. They've been expanding their services beyond just warranty work, which I really commend them on, because we have utilized some of those additional services. I used one a couple months before. We all got locked up in our house, but there were some extra services that I learned of. I thought I could use that and I did.

The reps are very helpful and professional, but sometimes, it's very difficult to get them on the phone. There are long wait times. It's easier to do it online and it's a lot quicker as well.     OneGuard's customer service is just abysmal. I've now been on hold for over 4 hours total to get a simple a/c repair. They refuse to answer the phone. Here are two screen shots of when I've given up. Fortunately all this wasted time allows me to post these reviews so others don't pay for a policy with them. If you value your time at all, go elsewhere. One over 1hr 15min yesterday and currently one over 1hr 45mins with no answer. It is like this EVERY SINGLE PHONE CALL now. The only reason to have these policies on my rentals is to simplify my life for small repairs. They now make it so difficult that you're better off calling the vendors directly and cancelling the policies.

    Further, their vendors cut corners and don't take the time to properly repair the issues. This current a/c repair person says the compressor needs to be replaced. That would be fine except that OneGuard had me pay $1,520 four months ago to replace that same compressor. Yet I can't get anyone on the phone to resolve the issue. Meanwhile my tenant is working from home in 100 degree heat with no a/c nor any repair in sight. It's truly unreal.

    DO NOT CONTRACT WITH ONE GUARD. These people are scammers. NO STARS NEEDS TO BE AN OPTION! They are shady operators, who hire sub-par contractors, and then refuse to honor the contract that they have written. I have been suffering from last 6 month. In January they said my Heat pump compressor is bad and I have to pay $500 to replace compressor. I paid $69 for visit and every month I pay monthly charge of $55. I paid $500 and Technician who was replacing compressor said the replace compressor will not work properly because it is not compatible.

    After almost one month and 5 days the system was not cooling, and I was told that I have to Pay $69 which I paid. Technician mentioned that last tech put more refrigerant and that’s why system was tripping. I have balanced the refrigerant and now it will work fine. Again, after two-month systems stopped cooling and I had to pay $69. This time different tech visited and said the system need more refrigerant and I have put some refrigerant and it will work. In three days, AC started tripping again and I placed recall. The Tech never visited and reported that visit was made, and they closed the call. It was over 110 in the house, so we had to move to my son home. We have now purchased new AC by spending $7500.00.

    From Last 15 days I have called 5 times and talked to different people to cancel my contract and stop taking monthly fees. They are saying that we have not received report from their contractor, and we can’t cancel the contract. Do not make the same mistake I made and pay OneGuard's fees every month and when you need help, they will not do anything. Don't buy a policy from One Guard, and don't ever let technicians from Horizon come out to your house, either.

    I’m a first time homeowner, busy military officer, and a single mother so it was important to me to find a home warranty provider that I could trust. I read reviews and chose One Guard. In mid-April, my hot water heater began leaking so I secured the water and called One Guard. They had a company out the next day. Now 3.5 months later, I am on hold for over an hour for the twentieth time trying to get it resolved why I have not had anything fixed yet. I’m promised every time that a manager will call me but they never do.

    This last time, customer service got off the phone so they could handle other calls and claimed management was “busy”. I’ve paid this company over $700 for their services and it is complete fraudulent. All they do is keep you on hold for 40 minutes, have a customer rep tell you they are working on it and that they will contact you but they never do. This company is just a scam and hopes that you will just give up if you have a legitimate claim. Take my advice and do not believe any of the reviews. I could have saved so much time and money by not having a warranty with them and using that $700 to fix the water heater myself!

They were sending out independent contractors and for the most part, it went well. That was why we stayed with them.     Things are a little slower than normal given the whole pandemic. A plumbing company ended up coming out here six times and still never fixed it and there were long intervals in between their visits. That was frustrating. I always had to call either OneGuard or this plumbing company to find out what the status of things was. So more communication and follow-up would have helped out considerably. Other than that, most of our experience has been good. I use their app to submit a claim and it is pretty easy to do.

    Sometimes, with certain things that OneGuard have replaced, you would think you would get your garage door warranty. But if it's a big item, they don't cover that. It was something on the garage door that was never covered. But maybe they realized that they can't cover everything. Other than that, I usually call OneGuard to submit claims and they're responsive. The contractors respond very quickly and are very helpful. We're happy.

    I was looking for a home warranty place and looked into three companies. OneGuard had extra services that I was interested in. Submitting a claim was very simple. They give you a time window and they contractors are usually pretty good. The company that came called before they came, which was great. I like that you pay the claim when you make it. So there's no money is transferring when the person comes. The only thing I didn't like was that the people that come and do any repairs don't have you sign a paper on what exactly they did. They just say they are done.

    My AC unit was running constantly and then eventually went out. The first company Oneguard sent was horrible... never showing up for appointments, lying about the unit, etc...     Beware!!!! The company customer call center has an average wait time of 45min to an hour. Secondly I opened a work order to get a cooktop vent fixed as every time I turn on the vent it sparks. The company refused to service since the appliance company considered not a normal wear and tear because they found Greece underneath the cooktop switchboard or knob and OneGuard decided not honor this work order. I am not sure why I wasted my money on this company for last 4 years and when the time came to get a major issue resolved I got denied. I have decided never to use any warranty company since they all seems to be easily get away when it comes to get a major repair done. They are completely fraud!!!!

    The only problem with OneGuard is that sometimes you call them and you're on hold for a long period of time. It was a long time and I got frustrated. The initial request goes to a call center and then you get in touch with a local person. But the contractors have all been good. They were excellent. Overall, OneGuard is reputable. You just hang on until they answer.

    I have subscribed to a OneGuard home warranty for many years and have been completely satisfied. I love the peace of mind that whenever something in the house goes wrong, as things inevitably do, there is always a warm and helpful voice on the telephone to address my problem and refer me promptly to a reliable contractor. I have never had a poor experience when I call. This year in particular I was pleased when Ralph called me to remind me to renew my policy. They have sent me a variety of contractors over the years, and again I have always been very satisfied with them. The contractor’s office have have always called me promptly and set up an appointment without any delay, and their technicians have always been polite, well informed about the problem and efficient in solving it.     I've been with OneGuard for two years and every year, I was only having problems with my AC. I told them that the people who were sent to me did not evaluate properly. I got at least three or four technicians from different sources come and none of them pinpointed. OneGuard told me that they would not replace a new unit and they were not fixing the problem. I got tired of keeping on calling them and telling them that this was not fixed. I just went ahead and I got a new AC put on. But then when I had a plumbing issue, they replaced my disposable.

    OneGuard was very slow in providing service. They don't care whether it is an emergency or not. Every time they send somebody, I feel that somebody is below average then he doesn't come and fix the problem right away. If I went privately and got somebody, that somebody would give me an assessment right away because they want the business and so they'll give a solution right away. If I'm not happy, I can go to somebody else. Whereas with OneGuard, I did not have the option to go to somebody else if I was dissatisfied with the person they actually sent. If I got any work done on my own, then OneGuard wouldn't take responsibility anymore for that.

    I'm seriously thinking of discontinuing but then they already charged my installment for this month so I will discontinue the coming month. Now, my dishwasher has gone bad and I called them yesterday. The lady called me and said that she might not be able to send anybody until Wednesday. But then last evening, she called and said that somebody could come this afternoon to look at the dishwasher. If it is spoiled then I hope they will replace it.

    One Guard quickly arranged an air conditioner repair for us when ours stopped working Thursday afternoon, 6/11/20. My confirmation number is 1929121. The company contact was Pro Solutions Air Conditioning. They did reach out on Friday morning to schedule service. The guy told me they could be here on Monday, 6/15/20. I told him I couldn't wait that long, I have two dogs to think about as well as my wife. Plus, today will be 110 degrees, and the rest of the weekend too. So he said he could come tomorrow if I paid him $89.00. I told him to forget it.

    I called back to One Guard and got your customer service rep, "LILA." She was a breath of fresh air. She was very sympathetic toward my problem and volunteered to try and contact another service that could help. She came back on the line and had lined up Universal Air Conditioning (very competent and would use anytime). Long story short-they were here in a half hour and fixed the problem. I just want to say that LILA is a credit to your organization. She is not averse to going the extra mile for your customers. I want to let management know how well she performed in this emergency.     Have a AC cooling issue. Oneguard sent a company called Speedy Electric & AC, they came here, didn't check anything but want to sell us a 300$ coil cleaning service. They didn't check refrigerant, didn't check pressure. They asked us to do their 300$ cleaning service before they can do any further diagnose. I called another contractor, they came here and told us that the refrigerant level is really low. So he help recharge like a few pounds of Freon and AC started to cooling again! But he said there might be some leak that need to repaired.

    I called Speedy, they said they need to clean coil first??!! My AC is cooling and up to standard now, so it's not about clean the coil right? They still need to clean the coil before diagnose any further?? And they even threatened me this time, they said "ok, we can come back, but we will take pictures of your coil and send it to oneguard and let them deny your ac service"??!! Check on their phone recording see if it was what they said? So Oneguard is working with this kind of company to bully their customer??

    I called Oneguard to see if they can send another company, but they said ok, but it'll be a different service request and pay another service fee. What? I called back within 30 days! They said, yes! But since you called your own contractor, according to their polic, they need to charge another service fee. I called my own contractor and paid the refrigerant by myself. Just want to solve the problem faster, later when I was informed there could be a more serious leaking problem I called back to let them fix it.

    Now you said because I helped a little bit, my current service request is voided and I need to pay again??!! I asked them to show me the policy, they just sent me a whole service contract, I read through all of them. I don't see anywhere saying that I can't use my own contractor at my own cost, otherwise it will void your service request... What a scam!!??

    I want to see where in the policy state that using my own contractor to save me trouble and save you money will void my service request! If not, why your agent made up such a policy to scam your customer?! I need a different contractor to get my ac refrigerant leaking fixed!! without paying 300$ coil clean scam fee... If coil has to be cleaned before repair, please show me the exactly part in your service policy!! and the guidance or statement from my AC manufacture of the year and model of my AC. Show me their recommended coil cleaning frequency, cleaning method and standard.

    We've had OneGuard since we first moved here in 2016 and their service has been good and it's been prompt. They've also been good about getting us service people and we've been happy with most of them, except the ones for the garage door repair. It was hard for us to decide who to call because of not knowing anybody in the valley. We felt comfortable having them use their experience to send people and they've been good. We usually submit our claims on the phone because I'm not a real tech-savvy person. Sometimes, we've had to wait on hold for a few minutes. If you need air conditioning, for the seasonal checkup, there's always a lot of people wanting to do that at the same time. But that's been the only problem.

    When we turned on our air conditioner, it wasn’t working even though we’ve had it serviced twice a year. It was gonna be 100 that day. So thank goodness we had just bought OneGuard home warranty recently. We didn’t buy a warranty years ago because we’ve replaced everything in our home on our own but my sister-in-law told us that OneGuard Home Warranties is fabulous. She told us that every time they needed something, they were there and they replaced it. So we went with them and we will never ever be without a warranty again because when we called them, they came out immediately the next day. It was on a weekend and they sent somebody out on Monday and we had the part in and installed by Thursday. They were amazing.

    The only thing that was lacking would be when the serviceman came, he didn’t have a card with him. He just came to the screen door and my husband said that he must be with the repair company. He said, “Yes, I am.” He didn’t have a shirt or a card that identified him. But we really liked the man. My husband said he was a friendly man. He knew exactly what he was doing. The motor had gone out in our AC and they replaced it. He was done in about an hour and he was gone. It was a wonderful transaction.

    I talked to Joanne in regard to buying the policy and she was fabulous. She was so clear with what they would cover, what they would do, and how much the premium would be for what we decided we wanted to cover. We would tell the whole world if we could. We’ll never go without a home warranty and OneGuard’s the best. We’re so grateful that we have got them on our radar and they were very easy to work with.

    I used to believe this was a decent home warranty company, but it is apparent it is like many other shady warranty companies. I have referred many clients here, but after my own experience, I will never refer another person for the rest of my life. Highly disorganized, rude people, and lack service providers. Waiting 1 week for an HVAC tech in 100+ weather is not ok. Providing no alternatives in such high temps is not ok. Refusing to refund my money is unacceptable. Now I see you are owned by American Home Shield- the absolute worst warranty company in the business... This answers all my questions.

    I purchased a home last year and it was recommended to me to purchase a home warranty. That was a very good idea, as we struggled with an older air conditioner system most of last summer.     We were in our old house for 20 years and we never had a home warranty. It was five years ago when we bought our current house and our Realtor recommended OneGuard. It made a lot of sense. Submitting a claim is always excellent. I do it on the phone and they're always quick and responsive. Contractors respond usually right after OneGuard contacts us. However, we had our hot water heater go out and we found out that the new one couldn't be put in because our old house wasn't installed according to code. We had to spend out of pocket in addition to getting the hot water heater replaced. But that's just the way it is so I guess that's not a fair complaint. It was just bad timing.

    I've been with OneGuard for years. They have me down as a realtor and the time my wife and I were selling real estate, we would promote OneGuard because we thought it was the best programs and the best people to deal with. I heard about them from a salesperson. He used to come around and give meetings years ago. I go on the internet, file a claim and they send somebody out. I'm very happy with the people they send.     The majority of contractors have been really good. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the carpet cleaning guy but I never said anything because he was actually very presentable. He was professional, very nice and courteous. I wanted him to keep his business. I just wasn't satisfied with how the carpets were left at the end. Plus everything was an extra fee. I understood there was a certain limit but the cost went from $65 to $500, just to do anything additional that I needed. The cost was obviously way more. If I went somewhere else, I would pay that for the whole house. So that was the one thing that made me upset a little bit. But still, I paid not the whole thing but for a little bit more. The guy also steamed our floors and those were great. We recently got compliments on them. It was just the carpets I wasn't too happy about.

    Other than that company, everybody else came to do what we contracted them for and they've been really good. Everybody was professional and really quick in responding, except for this microwave situation. I'm not sure if it's because of COVID but right now, everything is a mess. I got the call to schedule the appointment right away and the contractor came out on the day and time that they said. Then the technician did his thing right away. That part was smooth. Right now, I'm waiting on OneGuard so that's the one thing that's being delayed. Otherwise, my experience with OneGuard has been good so far.

    My OneGuard policy was purchased for me when I bought the place. I closed in January. So far, my experience with them has been terrible. They had an offer for a pre-season air conditioning check-up for $69, which I paid. An air conditioning man came out. He sat here forever and recommended $1,200 worth of repairs and wanted an additional $69 for another visit. At the time, I just agreed to it. OneGuard called me and got my credit card number for the additional $69.

    But as I thought about it, I didn't wanna start repairing this air conditioner with the summer coming on. I asked for a price for just a new air conditioner. That was done and I was left a written estimate. OneGuard was gonna pay for some of the repairs and I had already paid for the repair visit. But I was also gonna be charged some money for the repair. At that point, the tech left me a quote for a new system and it was 7,000 something dollars. He told me that I could get the $450 off from OneGuard.

    I started talking to my neighbors and they all have similar systems and houses to mine. They told me that estimate was really high so I called some other companies and I got a referral. I checked the references and they gave me a name-brand. It was for a lot less at $5,600. In the meantime, I paid in advance for the repair visit and I called OneGuard twice. I said, “I was told I would get credit for buying a new system so that you all didn’t have to pay any repair.” The girl said she would look into it and said they could probably only give me $300 for the new system.

    She said she would refund me the $69 and give me a credit for the new system. She would mail me a check but she would call me back that day and let me know. But she never called. I waited a week. I called back and I asked for her. The lady who answered said that they would give the girl a note to call me. That was on a Friday and I still haven’t heard anything. I’m very disappointed. Maybe I’ll have to call them again and I’ll have to tell them my whole story. I’ll have to ask them for a refund again and tell them to start over again because the person won’t call me back. It’s on my list today to try to contact them one more time and try to find someone in a supervisory position that I could email and maybe get a response from. I’m very unimpressed with OneGuard.

    Also, when I first moved here, I had a couple of things like a lot of electrical outlets that didn’t work. I tried to chat, telephone call, and web email this company. The OneGuard website would crash before the email ever went through. This was when I moved out here in February. This was not because of the coronavirus. Their chat was not working and it disconnected me. They never answered the phone too.

    It’s the middle of April now and I’m still messing with this company. I could have made two phone calls and had all this taken care of in February when I moved here. They were very difficult to get ahold of. What they would do is they would answer the phone with a recording then after a while, the music would end and it would say to press 0 to continue. But any time you press any number, it just disconnects you. You are never able to transfer. I did get a response when I finally called for an electrician. For the last two or three weeks, they’ve been answering their phone. But I would give this company an F so far. The seller of this house paid $800 for a yearly home warranty and it’s a rip-off as. What’s the use of a warranty if I still have to pay every time something has to be looked at? Every time anyone comes, it was $69.

    Everything has been going good with OneGuard, so far. The last claim I had a couple of weeks ago was for an electrical plug and everything went fine. I didn’t know what was going on with the plug itself and the technician told me that I had too much plugged into it. So he just reset it and it was working, but I needed another plug out there in the garage to run some other things. So the technician ended up putting me another plug out there with a higher voltage. He told me that the extra plug wouldn’t be covered, so I had to pay him out-of-pocket plus the deductible that I paid for the service.

    I had a couple of other claims as well. I had my heat and air and the guys had to come out several times because it wasn’t working right. Every time they came out, they thought they fixed the problem and what it was the thermostat all along. But everything is working good with that. I've been pretty pleased with OneGuard versus the other warranties that I've tried. I will renew with them.

    When we bought our house, we did some research on the different home warranty companies and we liked OneGuard the best. We used them maybe four or five times over the last couple of years and it had always been great. We’ve been very happy so far. One claim we had was for our hot water heater.     I live in an older house and I figured there would be some repair that needed to be done so I had a warranty the first year after I bought the house from the previous owner, but from a different company. I liked the concept that there is someone I can contact that buffers some of the cost of repairs, but I didn’t like the company I had. I had them for a couple of months, and then I was like, “Yeah, it’s over.” And then, it was either a neighbor told me about OneGuard or I looked it up online and it had good reviews.

    I try to use OneGuard's app but I usually have problems with it. And every time I did, I called and they would say, “Yeah, it’s down right now.” So, it’s disappointing because the app is very convenient and I can upload photos. Otherwise, I just have to call in. I’m usually with the contractors actively while they’re here. I help explain what’s going on and show where stuff is. I’ve had good experiences.

    I could usually find higher quality work if I source it myself, but it would have been more expensive. It’s more of a budget play than it is a quality play with most of the contractors that I get through a home warranty. I’m very happy with the home warranty company and the payouts, but for big repairs, I usually end up taking the payout and going through a contractor myself. But other than that, OneGuard has done a great job. They do everything they can. Given the business model, it’s right for them to try to find low-cost contractors because they can’t just pay out for nothing. I’m very happy I have them. I’ve had them for two years now and given my experience, I’ll continue with them moving forward.

    OneGuard hasn't done all the things that I've expected, but my experience with them when I would submit a claim had been very good. I would do it on the phone and they'd arrange when the contractors would come out. Then OneGuard would give me the tech's number and the people would call me or I'd call them. I had a really good experience the last time and that was with my garage door opener. I had to buy a new garage door opener, but they gave me a good price on it. But the quality of the work done on the irrigation was not exactly what I anticipated and OneGuard would only cover so much, so I don’t really know if they totally fixed it, but we'll find out down the road here.

    My overall experience with OneGuard has been good. My recent claim was for our garage door and it was fine. The turnaround time is always a little bit longer than we’d like. It’s slightly a little bit inconvenient. We had to wait three days for the service tech to come out. And then once they came out, we still had to wait another five days for the parts to be ordered and arrive. There’s room for improvement there, but the professionalism and ability of the technician were good.     Scheduled request for repair to “kitchen refrigerator with ice maker” on 2/24. They fixed it on 3/4 (why did it take 9 days to fix a refrigerator in the first place, that is entirely too much time for something that you need daily). I asked why the ice maker and water dispenser wasn’t working anymore, as it was working just fine previously, and the gentleman stated “give it about 48 hrs to kick back on”. I gave it 5 days and it still didn’t work.

    So I called to tell them and they said I have to pay another $69 service fee for them to come take a look at my refrigerator again. I said why when I asked them to fix my fridge and he left it broken and he said because I didn’t specify the ice maker. I said, "Why would I specify that when it worked JUST FINE before they came to look at my fridge". He said “it seems we are at a bypass. Do you want to schedule another service for $69 or not?” This is extremely irritating because you are basically saying if you want this component of your fridge fixed that was working just fine before we looked at it, you have to pay us again, rather than taking responsibility for problems they caused or failed to address....

    OneGuard is locally-owned and operated. Because of their operations being local, they understand that when we have a 115-degree heat, somebody can’t get an air conditioner fixed four days out. They have to get it done now. Submitting a claim is easy. As soon as I do the request, I get an email saying that I’ll be contacted within four business hours. But because I have the email and the contact information, I just contact them myself so I can go to the front of the line. I don’t wanna wait four hours. There’s never been an issue. I call, and then the contractors take over from there and tell me when they’re coming out. The contractors have been fine. I haven’t had any issues with any of them. They come out and they’ve all done a good job. I’ve had OneGuard for my property since 2009 and my experience has been exceptional.

    The first year when we purchased the house, we paid for the service, and then after that, we've been paying for it ever since. We didn’t use them the first year, and then we had to use them because the hot water went out. That’s when we finally called upon them, which was about a year ago. I could either submit claims online or call and it was easy doing both. The board in our garage door went out. So, they helped us with that. Also, our hot water heater went out. Those are two only things that we've called them for. But we don’t wanna get rid of the warranty because you never know.

    We've called them twice already for the garage. Also, I need to call to find out if our plan covers our leaking soft water unit. So, I wanna get them out. And then, we also have for our irrigation, too, in the back. We'll probably call them for a couple more things, but it's just always good to have them there to know that we don’t have to put a claim against the house. We can always just use OneGuard. The contractors have been good. I've had a good experience, so far.

    I've been with OneGuard for at least nine years now, and the biggest thing for me is that their response time is reliable. They're very quick to respond. And the majority of their contractors have been very good. I've only had one incident where I've requested for a different contractor. I utilize OneGuard for rental property outside the state that I live in, so I really rely upon them to take things and come take the ball. And the service calling in is very good. They're also pretty transparent about what's covered and what's not. We only get into the weeds sometimes, but that's cleared up pretty quickly.

    I purchased a condo and the sellers of that condo offered a home warranty for a year. They offered OneGuard and bought it for me. They seemed fine so I renewed it the next year. I've used them twice now in the second year although I didn't use it in my first year. I called them and then, they took down my problem. They found the person for whatever issue it was and sent down the repairman who then called me. I had a little issue with the refrigerator ice maker, then I had an issue with the stove burner. Both were not working and the repairmen were terrific. They were very good. The experience was very smooth but the window for opportunity as to when they were gonna be there was big such as a four-hour window. I understand that because they got the same guy repairing six homes. Still, that’s a big ask.

    For the most part, submitting claims with OneGuard has been extremely favorable. Over all these years, there's been a glitch here or there, but it's been resolved. Sometimes it's been difficult having to wait a long time to get an agent. But overall, it's been a good experience. I've been a customer since about '09. It's been a good marriage.

    I've been using the same companies for the most part. Out of all the times I've used them a lot, 15% of the time could be better. The biggest issue is if there are parts needed for something like a washer for the sink. A lot of times, it took them three weeks to get the parts, which I find a little bit unbelievable. We're not in a third world country. I don't know if it's a problem of getting the parts or they're just overscheduled and they just say they don't have them, but I can't believe that it would take some times three weeks to get the part. It seems like they have to make multiple trips out here to repair just to fix a washer or something that's not a major plumbing.

    Some times, I tried to tell them what what was wrong, and what has been the biggest problem is the communication between the intake person and relating that message to their service people. I've heard the service people say, "Well, I wish I would've known that. I could've gotten the part before I came out." The intake people that are taking the information should be more knowledgeable or get it to somebody. It would save them an extra trip and an extra time of having to block off hours.

    I have been with One Guard since 2015. Initially, I was very happy with this company since being referred by my sister. Now, I am finding out that my account is suspended. I could see if this was the first time, but no its the SECOND time. After being a loyal customer for so many years, I now am being told that my account has to be reviewed (in order to make a service request). Apparently I have monthly invoices that have not been paid. Not to mention, I have my account setup on direct pay (with premiums available). I have been paying $60 plus a month for years!!!! I am totally dissatisfied. Totally!!!! I guess it's time to look for another home warranty company.... Thank you to the lady who set up my account in 2015, she was very nice and provided good customer service. But as we know, things change!

    My property manager found OneGuard, and she said that they also do the carpet cleaning after a tenant moves out. I have a tenant in a rental to mind, and so I was like, “Well, that’s a great deal so that I could do a make ready if they move out, and I can get another tenant in as quickly as possible.” I really like the online feature to be able to put in a request. It’s amazing. I feel less confident in their contractors though.

    The latest contractor was trying to sell me on a whole new system just because it’s a little dirty. I’m not really happy with the contractors. And then with the refrigerator, the contractor was trying to get me a new fridge, but it was like, “Why aren’t you just testing and fixing this one?” I’m an automotive technician. Appliances aren’t that far away from cars, so I can see a lot more of that side than the typical consumer. OneGuard switched the refrigerator appliance repair guy, and the second one was better. He took out the system and took his own meter. But then he didn’t test the thermistor correctly because he was testing it at room temperature instead of cooling it down and seeing if it can even detect colder temperatures. So, I had problems even with the second one. But then they ended up giving me a new fridge because neither of the two contractors could figure it out.

    We have used OneGuard for years and have always been very pleased with the service. However, recently that changed. We have a built-in microwave covered under our policy. It stopped working right after Thanksgiving. After six weeks and two different repair companies attempts to repair the unit, OneGuard agreed to replace the unit. Oneguard’s contract requires them to replace the unit with one that is “comparable in features, capacity, and efficiency.”

    OneGuard offered us a countertop microwave that uses a regular electrical plug to replace our built-in unit that takes a 240 outlet (we could not even plug in the unit they offered). They did note that the countertop unit offered a trim kit. However, the trim kit it was to convert the countertop to a built-in for a 27-inch opening. We have a 24-inch cutout and no room to expand. Second, we went to the website for both companies (our is a Miele the one they offered is a GE) compared the features. We sent OneGuard a detailed list of over twenty features that our unit has that the countertop unit did not. To date, they have refused to change their position or respond to our list.

I needed a plumber for a leaking faucet about two weeks ago and after I put in the request online, I got an email to acknowledge the request. The plumbing company rang me the next morning to schedule a time and they came the next morning. They figured they needed a new valve inside the faucet and they came back the next day with the replacement faucet and fixed it.

    The claim process is very efficient because you could either ring OneGuard or you could do it online. The problem I used to have with the previous warranty company was if you called them, you would wait a long time and then, you couldn’t do it online. There was one instance with OneGuard where they said that a vendor would call me, and then after a couple of days, I hadn’t got a call. What was good about it was that I called OneGuard and that person took responsibility for it and personally contacted the vendor to get them to contact me. So, that was cool. The company was able to get on it.

    I thought having the warranty would be a good way to go instead of paying everything out-of-pocket. It’s kind of an insurance policy. It’s very simple and easy to submit a claim. I do it online. They use quality contractors, and when I find a contractor that’s in their network, I can request them. It works very well. I’ve only had one bad experience and it was probably more of a personality thing. All I did was tell OneGuard I didn't wanna use that contractor anymore, and it was fine.     When we purchased our new home in 2004. Our real estate agent presented us with the home warranty as a gift for the first year. Every year after we have renewed the policy & now that the house is 16 years old & living in Arizona there is no way I would be without it.     OneGuard has been my warranty on two different homes I’ve owned and two different time periods. I was on active duty and when I had my first home here, I used them and then, when I came back and purchased again, I went right back and used them. When I need something done, I can either do it online or I can do a follow-up call. The only negative I have with OneGuard is sometimes, you sit on the phone while waiting to talk to somebody. And that’s a negative I have with every company, because everybody’s trying to innovate. I have multiple queues I have to listen to, press one for this, press two for that. But outside of that, when I call and need something, they have somebody here. And if I need to talk to somebody when I do get them on the phone, I can explain what my needs are and they schedule it appropriately. So, I’ve had no issues with OneGuard at all.

    The contractors have been very helpful. The one thing I like about it when they come out is you can engage in conversation and you can ask them what’s going on. They explain what’s and what's not available. And the best part about it is they don’t try to sell me something. If I need something, I will ask. I do not like sales pitches and so far, the contractors they’ve sent out have been very unobtrusive, but also engaging when I’ve had questions. I’m pretty good with that.

    I was totally thrilled with OneGuard last year. When I renewed, I thought I was renewing the same policy and added a couple of additional things, and then I called to have some work done on the dishwasher and it wasn’t covered and it was previously covered. That kind of bothers me that that happened. They should give clearer details on whether or not things are not exactly the same because I thought I was getting exactly the same with a little bit of additional that I am paying more than I paid the first year. Other than that, I’m thrilled with them. I am thinking that I am going to renew, but I will probably have to talk to somebody about that one issue because I don’t want something like that happening again.

    Every contractor was excellent except for the very first one that came out to work on the air conditioners. It was kinda like we’re not even sure that he even serviced all of them. Whoever was in charge of the group that came out and gave us the whole spiel could not even get a hold of that guy once he left. So they credited us back and whatever that guy did, he kinda disappeared after he was at our house. We’ve had a plumber and appliance repair and a different air conditioner guy out and all of them were excellent.

    I had a water heater replaced and I was very pleased with OneGuard. I didn’t get any pushback. I called them up, said my water heater is leaking. They sent a tech out and he assessed it. I even drained the water heater, which I was not supposed to do, so he could actually see the leak, and he still replaced it. So, I was happy with that. Submitting the claim was fairly easy. I just called them up and they got right on it. I believe it happened on a weekend so I had to wait till Monday. Other than that, it was good.

    Update: My confidence in One Guard is renewed! After posting the previous review, One Guard contacted me immediately. Yesenia ** is the representative that contacted me. She was knowledgeable, courteous and resolved this issue to my satisfaction. She also took the time to better explain the limitations of my coverage and had even called a local pool pump company to get technical information related to my issue. Yesenia approved a refund issued to me in the amount of the cost to have a refurbished pump installed. I have been a One-Guard customer for 11 years and this was the first time I had a problem. I truly appreciate the effort that was made to find a fair solution and to better educate me about my coverage. Thank you One-Guard!

    My pool is approximately 10 years old and has the original pump. Not surprisingly, the pump recently quit working. I called One Guard and verified that I did have coverage for the pump due to "normal wear and tear". I thought, no problem, the pump is old and has reached the end of its life. Much to my surprise, after a technician came out, it was deemed that the pump had shorted out due to a recent rain and therefore was not covered. I called One Guard to ask how outdoor equipment that is routinely expected to get rained on could be excluded for such. They advised me that the policy states the equipment is excluded from coverage due to "incidental circumstances" and rain/water damage to the pump is considered this.

    The representative also told me that it is common knowledge that the pool equipment should not be run during rain and that it should state this in my pool manual. I have reviewed my manual and it does NOT state this. The pool supply company that I deal with laughed at this when I asked them about it. They said they have never heard any pool builder or equipment manufacturer say the equipment should not be run during rain. One Guard is being completely unethical and dishonest and I'm left with a $400-$500 repair bill. Beware of this company! I wonder now how many other exterior items on my home would be excluded from coverage due to rain.

    Refrigerator repair company called today and it's been approved, parts will be in Monday. As happy as that makes me, I was told yesterday my claim was denied and I bought a refrigerator. Rating went from 1 to a 3 but that does not indicate a satisfied customer.

    They take your premiums and $60 claim payment fast, but that doesn't mean you will get anything repaired. Toilet tank parts couldn't be replaced as needed due to tablets in the tank and fridge repair or replacement will not be honored after closing unless there was an "inspection showing good condition", which makes no sense as the inspection only reports problems! All that was $240 including fridge premium and I still had to hire a plumber for $700 and buy a fridge. If I repair the fridge and provide them proof, then they'll cover it. THAT'S not what sales says when they're signing you up.

    I won't forget how they used "it's in the contract you signed" bit, when I never received a copy til after it was bought! I don't know what other warranty companies are like but this has been a bad experience. It will be 10 days without a fridge and days ago parts were supposed to be ordered. When I checked status, the repairman reported pre-existing problem but nobody called about it. It's just my luck I followed up when I did.

    Submitting a claim with OneGuard is super simple. I just go on their website and request service. And for the most part, I haven't had any problems with their contractors except for the one I had for the pool pump. I didn't feel comfortable with them, and I had a feeling the guy was scamming me. He told me it wasn't covered and quickly gave me a huge $800 ticket. It took me almost two weeks to get through OneGuard's people and rectify that. I complained and got upper management involved, then they sent a different company out that is totally reputable. It turned out, everything was covered, and they were just beautiful. I was super happy with it and everything is working great now. OneGuard is a lot of money a month, but when you need them, they are there. And so far, it has all worked out in my favor. They have done a good job with me.

    As a Realtor, I've been not terribly happy with OneGuard lately with a couple issues I've had with my clients. My most recent call myself for my personal home was fine. I got the warranty mostly because of the age of the home and for the price. As I tell my clients, when a home gets to be about over 10 years old, it's worthwhile to have a warranty, but know that it's going to suck a lot of the times. It's not going to be as awesome as it sounds. And once you go into that with that expectation, you'll be just fine. It's easy to submit a claim with OneGuard. Typically, I do it online and the website is fine. The quality of work performed by the contractors varies. On the last experience I had, the company was very good. I liked the people. Sometimes, I find them to be a little lackluster. Overall, my experience has been adequate.

    We had a home warranty previously for about 10 years and the company was good, but OneGuard is a little better with the quality of what they cover and to the extent that they cover it, price, and reputation. So far, we've had no issues with submitting a claim. We do it with an agent and the individuals that we've talked with for claims and/or for setting up appointments tell us who's coming, when they're coming out, and the timeframe that the company will call us prior and we have not missed a beat yet. They do what they say and they say what they do, which I like.

    The guys that have come called ahead about 15 minutes, so we were prepared. They rang the doorbell and they identified themselves. Those that had ID badges showed them to us immediately. A couple of them didn't have an ID badge, but they had the uniform on and the company truck and they told us what they were coming to do. They came in, they put little footy booties on, and they went to where the job needed to be done. So far, we have not had a bad experience. We had one hiccup with a part that was defective and we called OneGuard. We told them what happened and they sent somebody out from the same company. They were out within 48 hours and repaired it. There were no hassles. Our experience with OneGuard has been outstanding.

    Be careful! Ac went out, took them a day to get someone out to then say they have to order the parts. If “we” wants the parts sent quick we have to pay the additional fees, otherwise One Guard would expect us to wait 3-5 days with no air to wait for parts. And nope they don’t pay for hotel because per weather it’s not greater than 105. Amazed at how poor and horrible their customer service and coverage is.

He worked for days taking full ownership of my issue and was accessible both by phone and email.     We have been a long term customer of OneGuard. Our pool filter started leaking and we contacted OneGuard to send someone out to take a look at it. The company came out and lubricated the O-ring thinking that would stop the leak. It did not. So I did a recall to have the contractor come back out. They sent a different tech out from the same company and this tech said the filter needed to be replaced. OneGuard sent the authorization to replace the filter and I authorized payment of the sand. On the day they were to replace the filter, the contractor showed up and instead decided to replace the lid of the filter and not replace it. One week later, the filter was still leaking. I called OneGuard again and they sent out a completely different company this time.

    The tech from the new company told OneGuard that we did not properly maintain our filter and that is what caused pressure to build in the filter. OneGuard then denied our claim. We have a weekly pool service, our filters are serviced monthly and backwashed. We replaced the sand in the filter one year ago and sand in these filters last 3-4 years before they need to be changed so the sand was not the issue. We have now paid multiple service fees and wasted a lot of time allowing multiple contractors into our home and OneGuard refuses to honor our contract and replace the filter. Anyone looking for a warranty company should beware of OneGuard Home Warranty.

    The worst part of this whole ordeal was how poorly we were treated when we spoke to OneGuard about this issue. The representative was rude and condescending. They informed us they were fine with us cancelling our policy if we were not happy. Anyone looking for a warranty company for their home should stay far away from OneGuard.

    Please note the OneGuard contract is intended to cover the costs to repair or replace covered items when they breakdown due to normal wear-and-tear conditions, and the contract holder is responsible for routine maintenance and cleaning of covered items. The OneGuard contractors that assessed the system, confirmed the leaks in the pool filter were the result of maintenance related issues which were due to high internal pressure within the system at 37 PSI, the PSI should be at 22 or below.

    Additionally, OneGuard did not authorize the replacement of the equipment for this service request in September. Please be assured we have spoken with both contractors that assessed the system to confirm their diagnoses.     Do not use OneGuard Home Warranties. This company will give you the runaround for months before finally admitting that they don't cover much of anything. My AC went out and they sent out their contractor to take a look at it. They told me I'm on my own and I'll need to have the whole unit replaced before they will cover it. Makes absolutely no sense. Their customer service representatives are extremely rude as well. They just repeat themselves over and over again and when you try and respond they cut you off and talk over you the whole time. Definitely find a different home warranty company.

    I had one of OneGuard's technicians come out and look at my oven that is heating up my home from heat coming out the vents when it’s on with door closed. He said there was an unusual amount of heat pouring out. OneGuard says they won’t do anything and says it’s not a malfunction! It certainly is! My house heats up terribly when my oven is on - that is NOT normal. I have wasted my money on monthly payments to OneGuard and wasted $70 bucks for a service call. Don’t use this company!!! They will probably screen this review out. Buyer beware!!

    This is the first issue I have had with One Guard. This issue was so severe that I will not be renewing my contract in a few months. If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Truly disappointed. The Plumbing company by the name of Stellar Plumbing Services, not only did not diagnose the problem, they didn’t set enough time or bring equipment with them to work on the job. The representative that called me from Stellar asked me the same questions over the phone the previous day that he did when he came to my home and after asking me the questions again, he went to his car called One Guard and made a request. He did not diagnose anything. I contacted One Guard to inform them of this and they said the company was contracted with them for a long time, so basically I was lying.

    If I wanted a second opinion (actually a first because it was never diagnosed) then I would have to pay an additional fee. Since this issue needed to be fixed immediately I had to hire a plumber myself and get them to come and diagnose the issue. It was totally different than what Stellar had said. Needless to say when I voiced my concerns to One Guard they became argumentative and then they also became an authority on plumbing. Not my idea of customer service nor where I will be spending my money going forward.

    When I went to an open house, there was a cardboard thing about OneGuard that stated what they covered. It was put on before anyone put any offers. I bought the house and the warranty came as a sales feature. Whenever I make a claim with them, I talk to their representative and everything is great. Most of their contractors have been good too although I had a really bad experience with one of the providers last summer regarding my microwave. Other than that, I had positives experiences.

    There are several things wrong with the house. When I had a water heater issue, I got it replaced and that was an awesome experience. OneGuard couldn't replace the gallon that I had - I guess it was a weird amount - so I either had to pay more to get something that was of a bigger capacity than I had or they would have to give me something smaller along with a credit. I ended up going smaller and they actually gave me money back. But I had to pay some of that money back to the people who worked on it because it cost another $130 to fit it to this other size. I still got compensated for the fact that it was not what I had before though and it went well.

    I also had issues with the sprinklers and that went well too. I love the contractor Sprinkler Doctors and I would definitely use them again. I also recently got a plumber out for plumbing issue. I cannot say enough about that guy. I asked for his card because I'm moving. But he didn't even need more business. He said he appreciated the thought but he could get enough business from OneGuard. He was happy doing all his business through them.

    Although I had one horrible experience with OneGuard about the microwave thing, it is not enough to have me hate them. Overall, I had such a good experience with their customer service rep. They had friendly and professional staff. They were easy to work with and there was a smooth process in resolving issues. I actually chose to buy their coverage when I listed my house and offered that as a selling feature. I'm also buying OneGuard for my new house.

    A girl friend of mine recommended me to OneGuard. Since she had a great experience with them and told me it’s only $69 for every service, I thought I'd give them a shot. When I initially did it, I was very impressed with one exception. My very first service was to get my keys rekeyed and the guy was very helpful. He did a little bit extra than he needed and I was very appreciative. Towards the end, I asked if he could re-program my garage. He said it was not a problem. He got the cover off my garage control panel. He tried to put it back, and he was having a hard time. He’s a little bit shorter. I told him to not worry about it and to just give me the cover. He said, “No, no, no, I got it, I got it.” And what did he do? He smashed it into pieces. I understand it’s a plastic cover, but I’m one of those that if I ask you to fix something, please put it back the way it came. That was my first service, and it all went downhill after that.

    For the second claim, I had a problem with my plumbing. I am a first-time homeowner so I don’t quite understand what all the legalities are. My seller paid for my home warranty and I’ve never received any paperwork from OneGuard about what it covers and what it doesn’t cover. I called them and told them what was happening. The rep said, “We’ll take care of it this first round, but the next time, you need to call your homeowner insurance.” I said, “What? I thought the whole point of having a homeowner’s warranty is I thought you’re gonna fix all this stuff?”

    When the plumber got here, he said he needed to see my home inspection. I said, “Excuse me? Who are you to look in my home inspection? One, you’re a contractor, and two, who are you to ask for it?” He said the warranty asked for it. I told him he needed to tell the home warranty to call me ‘cause I don’t know him. He said he couldn't do the repair without my home inspection so I had no choice. Either he left and not repair what I had, or I had to show a mere stranger that I don’t even know the home inspection.

    He looked at my home inspection and said I was gonna have to pay this out of pocket because it was in my home inspection. I didn't know it. OneGuard never asked for my home inspection. If I knew about it, I would never have called them and I would’ve gotten my own contractor. I asked how much it was gonna cost and he said $459. He also said he was gonna cut a hole through my sheetrock, but I was gonna have to repair it. I said, “What? You’re gonna charge me $500, put a hole in my wall, put a new faucet in, but you’re not gonna fix?” He said it was not part of their job. Out of desperation, I didn’t know what to do. I went and accepted it because I could not go without water. Finally, he was done and he told me he needed my credit card. After he repaired the faucet, he broke my panel and told me the previous repair this was done on was a shoddy repair. He put duct tape on it and left after I paid him $459.

    I called OneGuard and complained ‘cause this is their contractor that they sent out. I said there’s gotta be a liability on this. They said it was not their liability and that they don’t get involved between me and the contractor since I paid out of pocket. They said I needed to deal with the plumbing company so I called Scott Plumbing and told them what happened. They said, “We’ll give you $100, you deal with it. Or we’ll just fix the plastic part holding the faucet, but we gotta put more holes in your sheetrock.” I said it was their plumber who broke it. He said it looked like it was a shoddy repair. I told him if it was a shoddy repair, then their plumber should’ve broken my heater side. But he didn’t break my heater side. He broke my cold side and put duct tape on it.

    I didn't wanna ask them to paint the wall. I was asking them to put a new plastic in and put my sheetrock back, and I would take care of the rest. He said I was asking too much and I was being ridiculous. He just kept on arguing. He said he was just gonna send me a $100 check and that was all he was gonna offer, and he hung up on me.

    After that, I ended up talking to OneGuard's head person. She yelled at me. I told her I’m a first-time homeowner and I didn’t know any of this. I told her I didn’t know they were not gonna cover what’s on the home inspection and they never asked from me even when I signed on. Before I ever started their service, they could’ve said they needed a copy of my home inspection. Plus they didn’t even give me information. She said it was my responsibility to call and get all that information. She was arguing and saying it was my fault. I went through a mental breakdown after that and started crying.

    If it was my contractor, I would have no complaint. But these people represent OneGuard. Why would I even wanna go with OneGuard if they're bringing all these unprofessional contractors that they have contract with? Also, the customer service promised one thing then the authorized people were saying, “Nope, we won’t take care of it.” Now, I’m forced to pay the full price to this contractor which OneGuard brought. They are sending contractors and they are not even taking responsibility for what the contractors break. I’m scared to use OneGuard again. I’m not impressed with OneGuard so I will not be renewing again next year. And when it comes to a claim, I’ve been on the phone for over an hour on hold. It’s ridiculous.

The service request for the plumbing system, specifically the washer valve and valve box, was not covered by OneGuard due to pre-existing conditions, and breakdown that was in effect prior to the start of the home service plan. Please note in accordance with the terms of the service agreement, OneGuard requires that covered items are in good, safe working condition upon the start date of the contract. The documentation you provided, indicated the washer valve and valve box were in a state of disrepair prior to the close of escrow.

    We have spoken with the service contractor to verify the diagnosis, they confirmed you were aware the items were not covered by OneGuard due to pre-existing conditions, and they presented two options: replace the leaking valve assembly and damaged valve box altogether which was recommended, or only replace the leaking valve. You chose to only replace the leaking valve. In order to access the valve, the technician was required to remove the valve box, and the condition of the box became worse. Therefore, he offered pricing again outside of the warranty to replace the box. You declined the offer and he pieced the box together as best as possible, and placed it back into its original position. The contractor also advised OneGuard that they offered to return to the home on your behalf to replace the valve box at a discounted price. You declined the offer, and the contractor offered a partial refund for the work that was completed as a goodwill gesture, which you accepted.

    We have also reviewed the re-key service request that was completed on August 3, 2019, and have no record of negative service interactions with the contractor, only the five star rating and positive comments you provided for the contractor upon completion of the service that was performed.

    When we're submitting a claim, it's very easy. Our things usually break on the weekend, so we don’t get to call them. So we go online. My husband prefers to call, but either method is easy. We've been pretty happy with the work provided by the contractors, except for the refrigerator guy. The refrigerator guy was stupid. Our icemaker would not shut off, so we’d have either running water or running ice falling out of the refrigerator. The refrigerator guy came and he tried to fix it. He came out four times, and he threw his hands up. The next guy came out, replaced the icemaker and we're fine.

    For the most part, our experience with OneGuard has been good. But my last experience with them was not good. Our AC downstairs went out in Houston, and the guy came out. He went to the truck, and submitted whatever it was he was supposed to submit to OneGuard. Fortunately, we have two AC units in the house. So, we just went upstairs and slept. The next day, he didn’t call, and the next two days, nothing. It went on for a week and I called and the gentleman that answered the phone call tried to bamboozle me. He tried to tell me that they tried to call us, and OneGuard was supposed to call us because we had an additional cost and we had to approve that. He said that his associate called us at 9:30 that morning. But the tech didn’t even come out until after 10:00. So, it didn’t fit together and he got rude with me and we had to pay $1,600. That wasn’t a happy thing.

    Our warranty is over at the end of this month and I'm thinking of changing companies because of that. I tried to explain to the kid that we were upset, and it's hot. It made our upstairs unit work harder, so we needed somebody out here, and he got a little sniffy with me. I told him I was a real estate agent, and he said, “Well, what’s that got to do with anything?” I told him that it's a matter of whether or not I recommend OneGuard to my customers. And he got nice after that.

    I purchased a new home and they offered me different companies and said to choose what I was looking for. I thought OneGuard was the right one for me. Submitting claims is excellent. I like the service that was provided to me because they were really fast and they act on the concern that I had. I submitted a claim for the AC that was shaking and wasn't cooling.     I'm a single woman and I don't have a man around the house to help me in case something breaks or needs replacement. I decided to get a warranty because of issues that might go wrong with the house and I was told that OneGuard was good, so I went with that. When I made a claim, I went online and the website was very user-friendly. The contractor showed up, took care of business and left. They came in pretty quickly at the time they said they would, so that was nice. The garage door was not opening and since then, it’s working. I'm satisfied and it was good, being the first experience that I have with a home warranty. It was painless.     I was a Realtor for 10 years as well as being a personal homeowner and I have dealt with so many home warranty companies. I thought other companies were good in the past, but One Guard takes it steps further and is absolutely EXCELLENT.     I had a warranty with another company and it was a sad experience. My neighbor told me that he has a home warranty with OneGuard and that it's a good company so, I decided to go to them. Submitting a claim was very easy. I just called customer service and they helped me do my service. They responded right away and told me to just wait for the contractor to show up. The contractor came on Monday and I got a call ahead of time that he was coming. He came to my house and he was extremely great. He was very polite, nice and knew what needed to be done. He was awesome and the best of the best. I had experiences with other home warranties and OneGuard is the best, too.

    We had a toilet with a bidet that had an issue with the fill valve. I had paid a plumber to install the bidet on the toilet. OneGuard sent out a plumber who replaced the fill valve and removed the bidet in the process and refused to reinstall it. Plumber said he'd have to charge me $375 to reinstall the bidet. SO THEY CAME, UNDID SOMEBODY ELSE'S WORK AND WANTED TO CHARGE ME TO BRING IT BACK TO THE ORIGINAL CONDITION. Now I have to get another plumber to come out to fix the problem they created. Of course OneGuard says I have to sort it out with the plumber and the plumber claims I have to sort it out with the Warranty company. By the way this was my only claim with them on a $700 policy.

    Updated on 08/02/2019: I read your response and it’s so far away from not being the truth. My equipment was not filthy. The filters are changed as they are suppose to be. OneGuard is running a scam and paying their contractors not even half of the $69.00 that we pay OneGuard. My contract with you is up in October and guess what? I will not be renewing it. Everyone do the math. I used my warranty three times in almost 5 years. One on my ice maker, one on my dryer and once on the A/C with her it didn’t cover. At almost $900.00 a year x 5 = $4,500. I could had bought a hell of an electric dryer and a new refrigerator and still had money in my bank. SCAMMERS!

    Original Review: Beware. Our A/C went out. Called OneGuard for service. They set up Superior HVAC to come out. The guy was here two hours and told us that our Evan coil had a leak, that was all that was wrong. He submitted it to OneGuard and OneGuard took it upon themselves to say they wouldn’t cover it because it was not normal use, they want almost $2500 to repair it. Ridiculous!!! I’ve had them for four years and have used them two times in the past. It’s not worth the almost $900 a year to keep it. Beware. Run. Don’t use OneGuard. They are SNAKES!

    The first year, OneGuard came free with my house when I bought it. Then I decided to just keep it ‘cause you never know if something happens. OneGuard was more convenient 'cause I’m one of those who doesn't like to shop around once I got something. People tell me about other ones where they think it’s cheaper but if it's not broke, don’t fix it.

    Filing a claim with OneGuard has been great so far. The two claims reps I've dealt with have been good. They worked with me. I don’t have a debit card so I gave them my routing number and they were able to take the $69 payment out of my bank account. OneGuard tries to get somebody out as quick as possible. This last time with the AC, one of the companies that they contract out said they wouldn’t be here Monday so I called OneGuard back and they got somebody out there the next day which was Saturday. They really helped me out and the contractor was real good. He put a universal fan on my AC just so I could have AC for that day and the next day, he came back and put the one that needed to be on it. I thought that was real nice of him. The AC’s working great. Being here without AC in San Antonio, Texas is a no-no during the summer. The repair helped out a lot. Our first claim was a plumbing leak and the guy was real good too.

    I requested repair of my A/C unit as it was just blowing warm air. OneGuard sent me a nightmare repair company. They never gave me a a diagnosis or estimate. I never approved the work being done. They sent another subcontractor to replace my evaporator coil and finished at 6pm. I did not receive any information from OneGuard. At 7pm the A/C guy texts me saying he's on his way with the police if I don't pay him. I told him I had not even received an estimate or the final invoice. I told him I had not heard from OneGuard, so I didn't know what they would cover or not, so I would call him the next day after talking with OneGuard.

    He showed up at my house with the police and demanded payment. I refused for the prior reasons. The A/C, by the way, was still not working and blowing hot air. It's been a month now I've been harassed by the A/C company. I've had to pay another company to come replace what they did because they installed the wrong size evaporator coil. OneGuard has assumed no responsibility in this because they said the evaporator coil was not maintained. That is ridiculous. There is no way to maintain an evaporator coil except to change the air filters as I did methodically.

    I called OneGuard and asked them why they didn't let me know they weren't covering the repair. I asked them to send me an email stating it and they would not. I heard from them a month later. TERRIBLE. And I believe unethical on both fronts: First, not covering. Second, not taking responsibility for the nightmare of an A/C company they sent me. I trusted them and they did nothing to correct this situation after they caused it.

    I was with Allied Home Warranty and when Allied turned it over to OneGuard, I just stayed because I liked Allied. Everyone in customer service with OneGuard has been excellent. They go above and beyond giving information and giving the assistance that I need. As far as the contractors, everyone that I have experience with under OneGuard has been excellent too. I have no complaints against any of them. They come out and do what they are supposed to do. They are very friendly and experienced technicians. There are two technicians that I, since, always get, Pam and Joanne. I love those ladies.

    I had another home warranty which was First American Home Warranty. It started out being real good and just like with anything else, once you have been with this company for so long, they start slacking. On the other hand, everything has been consistent with OneGuard which is what I like. When I call in with problems, I don’t get push back. I will recommend OneGuard to anybody and everybody.

    We wanted to have a warranty because we were purchasing a new home. The Realtor that we had gave us a list of about five warranty companies that were rated well as far as he was concerned. They told us that there were quite a few things that were wrong and they weren't gonna be covered under the warranty. We kept having the issue and they wanted to do about $3,000 worth of stuff. After we did a little research, we did not felt that was correct. We opted to not even go through the warranty. I wasn’t familiar with home warranties and I wanted to get a second opinion. It turned out that the first contractor was not correct. The guy that gave us the second opinion fixed things for just the minimal amount, which was $50-something or so.

    But we had another issue that came up. It was the air conditioning unit and I went through the warranty with it. I told the rep that I did not want to use that same company they gave me earlier and even told her that they might wanna take that company off their preferred providers because they certainly didn’t know what they were doing. She sent another person out and he was very good. My experience has been very positive and productive.

    I noticed that our air conditioning did not seem to be cooling enough on very hot days. I called the service company who had recently cleaned our system. They came out on a Thursday morning and told me that there was a burn mark on the circuit board on our air handler. Give that the part was expensive, I told them that I needed to contact the warranty company. Even though I was able to tell OneGuard exactly what was wrong with the unit, complete with photos and a part number, they stated that their own contractor would have to diagnose problem. But the earliest that anyone could come out would be Friday afternoon to diagnose the issue—which means that the repair would have to happen the following week. I simply could not be without air conditioning for that length of time given the medical needs of our family.

    I went ahead with our service company for the repair which they completed the same day. I asked OneGuard to reimburse the cost of the part given the circumstances. They claim that our service company stated that a power surge from a storm nearly two weeks prior had caused the failure. Our service company stated that they never said this and that they could not attribute the failure to anything specific. I know that I had working air conditioning and told OneGuard that I had even had a party with working air conditioning between the storm and the AC failing. OneGuard claims that our service company stated the board was burned during a power surge. Our service company clearly stated that they could not tell why the board went bad. I do NOT recommend OneGuard or their affiliate company American Home Shield.

    Avondale, AZ 85392. I have been using this service for years and it is only for the central air unit. Every time I call in a service they come out, fix it, it goes out then come back, fix it, it goes out. This is a repeat issue and it is starting to seem like a scam. After 30 days if the unit goes out I have to pay a service charge over again. Just my luck it has been 44 days and my unit has gone out so I had to pay again just like in the past. I was told I could not request a history of the previous work orders even though I am the one that called them in and pay for them over the years that the homeowner has to call in and do that no problem. I am doing a BBB complaint. Warranty should be more than 30 days especially looking at the history of this address that is a problem not happy and I will voice my complaint.

    Contacted OneGuard about our A/C making a high pitch whining like it was about to go out on Wednesday morning (7/10). Received an email that their technician would reach out to me within 4 hours to set up an appointment. The company they used, “On The Horizon HVAC inc” did not call me until 7:34pm (well past the “4 hours” advertised). We set up an appointment for Friday 7/12 between 1 & 5pm, which I had to adjust my work schedule to accommodate. The tech arrived at 1pm, and tells me that the reason for the noise was due to a dirty air filter, something that was changed prior to my family moving into this house on 6/14.

    The tech reports back that the noise was due to “bad maintenance” and then quoted me a new fan motor for $355, saying OneGuard won’t cover because it was still running and just making noise due to “bad maintenance”. Not 4 hours later the entire unit goes out. This is Texas in mid-July with no A/C and three kids under the age of 10 so we have a problem. I called OneGuard back at 10:30pm and spoke to a young man who advised he would request a recall to have Horizon come back today (Saturday 7/13) and would have his authorization team re-review the issue for coverage as they were told the issue “was due to bad maintenance.”

    I received a call from Justin with OneGuard about 8:30am on Saturday (today) to ask what the issue was. After relaying the timeline of events, he said it wasn’t covered, however if we had a “home inspection done prior to move in it could be covered under the No Fault clause/coverage,” and asked me to email a copy of our inspection report. He also said he would follow up with Horizon to have them come back out. I didn’t hear from anyone for 2 hours so I called OneGuard back, who confirmed they sent the request to Horizon and said I could reach out directly. I contacted Horizon and asked about a status of my request and was told by the young lady who answered the phone that she would talk to a manager and call me back. I never received that call and at 12:12 called back to sit on hold for 6 minutes before being hung up on. I called again at 12:18 to be hung up on a 2nd time.

    The third time I called I got the “manager” who said they cannot get anyone out until Monday now. I will admit to yelling as at this point I’m very upset with the runaround. She placed me on hold to call OneGuard and came back telling me she talked to “Ernesto” and that she can’t get anyone to come out today but if a cancellation shows up she could fit me in. Ernesto with OneGuard then called me to tell me the same thing, which I said was unacceptable since this should have been handled originally yesterday. He kept repeating that “all technicians in my area were booked until Monday” but when asked which other Vendors had he reached out to, just repeated that all technicians are booked. I asked him for the names of the other Vendors other than Horizon that he reached out to and he would not give me any information.

    When asked about getting my own vendor for reimbursement was told they will not do that, but I’m welcome to have another vendor cover and to give them a call back to cancel the service request, which as I said I will not be doing, even if I did call another Vendor. I asked to speak to his Supervisor and was told he is the only supervisor on the weekend I could talk to. As a new home owner for less than a month, this has been horrible customer service and I have already relayed to my realtor that we they should not be recommending OneGuard as a warranty company after all of this mess.

    DO NOT CHOOSE THIS WARRANTY!!!! Going on three weeks with a broken AC in the dead of summer and they don’t seem to care. Every time I call the story changes, now they want to charge me $400 to fix something else!? Had to result in staying in hotels and spending $800 for window units because it is unbelievably unbearable inside the house. The customer service here needs to be fired ... they say they’ll call for an update and no one calls. Choose a different warranty... What’s the point in having a warranty if they don’t take care of you and also if you have to pay $400 because they can’t find a part?!

    We had a problem with our air conditioning on a Friday afternoon and it was 115 here. My wife talked to a lady at OneGuard who told us she couldn't get anybody out until Monday. But the company that they had suggested texted us and said they would have somebody out between 10:00 and 12:00 on Saturday. There was a little bit of discrepancy there but when the contractor came out, the service was excellent. He was very informative about what he had done and what he had found. He tried to explain it to us best he could so we would understand it. He did a hell of a job and the AC had been running well since.

    I made a request to fix the ice maker in my fridge - it didn't make ice. They sent a technician to fix it. It still didn't work. They sent out the tech again to fix it. It still didn't make ice. They told me I had to shut off the fridge for a day. If it didn't still didn't work, that was the extent of what they were willing to do. When I suggested that the contract required them to fix my fridge ice maker so that it made ice, they became rude. I cancelled the service.
