How to get Mobility123

To get a stair lift from Mobility123, start by getting a customized quote. During the quote process, the team will ask about your accessibility needs, what your home looks like and your estimated budget. In most cases, the company will also complete an in-home evaluation to tailor a solution for you.

In addition to product and cost, the company will also help you navigate things like installation specifics, potential health insurance coverage and any financing options you may be eligible for.

Mobility123 services

Mobility123 offers stair lift installation, customer service and repairs. Its in-house construction team includes three full-time, state-licensed elevator mechanics.

Mobility123 also offers stair lift maintenance plans that help ensure your lift works how it should. These plans include regular cleaning and lubrication, adjustments and testing. These maintenance plans may be particularly useful for older relatives or those aging in place.

Mobility123 pricing

Because each stair lift installation is unique, Mobility123 doesn’t offer any information about the cost of purchasing and installing a lift. This is pretty standard in the industry, especially for companies that sell products from a handful of manufacturers. That said, you can get a free, no-obligation quote from the company.

In some cases, you may be eligible for discounts, financing or insurance rebates. A sales representative will discuss your options during the quote process.

Maintenance plans

Mobility123 sells three different maintenance and service plans:

  • Basic: At $200 per year, this plan includes one annual maintenance service visit by a Mobility123 technician.
  • Standard: For $350 per year, the Standard plan includes two annual maintenance service visits.
  • Access: For a one-time fee of $1,250, you receive coverage on all parts and labor for the lifetime of your system. This plan charges just $49 for service and repair visits but does not include any annual maintenance.

How does Mobility123 compare?

Mobility123’s model selection is somewhat limited compared with competitors, but its manufacturers offer pretty standard warranties, with five-year coverage up to lifetime protection.

The guy who came here to talk to me about the chairlift was pretty impressive. He was knowledgeable. He gave me various options and showed me the literature. Based on that literature, we decided on this particular chairlift and I'm glad that it worked exactly as he had expressed. So, everything worked fine. Once the chairlift was here, in a couple of weeks, they called up and finished the job in one day. Nothing went wrong. Everything looks fine. The people who came to install it were very experienced, and they did a fine job. The chairlift is working fine. Mobility123 also followed up and checked about it and how it is working. I gave them a positive reply that everything is fine.

I called Mobility123, they came in a very short amount of time, put the Bruno stairlift in, and I appreciated it. The installer was a young person and he was very nice. He cut his finger a bit when installing the stairlift and I was a bit concerned that we should go to the emergency room. But he said he would be fine. We dressed it a bit, and he continued on with the job and finished it within a couple of hours. We're very happy with them. The stairlift saves me from climbing the stairs. I would be up and down the stairs a lot every day and my knee was hurting me. But since I have this stairlift, it is very helpful to me and I continue to use it. I'm thankful for it.

Carol, thank you for this. Sounds like you took good care of our installer when he nicked his finger, which says a lot about you. He's doing fine and was set on finishing the job that same day so you weren't left waiting.

Really glad the Stairlift is taking the strain off your knee.

Trips up and down the stairs add up fast when you're already hurting, and that's exactly what these are built to fix.

Mobility123 was professional, knowledgeable, and pleasant. Natalie, the salesperson, was organized because she took all the dimensions and took care of everything. The guys that installed the lift were very professional. They got the job done sooner than expected. They were neat when they installed it and programmed it perfectly for my mother. They adjusted it to her, like her getting on the chair, her exiting it. They installed a custom chair rail that went all the way up to the second floor in one piece. It’s a nice piece of work. We were happy with them. Pleasant people to have around. Wonderful communicators. It was a great experience.

On the sales portion of it, I spoke to Jennifer initially, and Natalie is the one who came to the house. Natalie was also the one who took all the measurements that they created the schematics. She did all that preliminary on-site work. I spoke to Jennifer on the phone. She gave me the rundown. Told me about their two locations - one near us, and another space down the shore. They moved along well, sent me follow-up emails and phone calls, and came out as soon as we were willing to schedule a date to talk about it the options for chairlifts, because that's what we were looking for. Went over all that stuff with us, and educated us on what they could do and what we could get. We were happy with all that upfront stuff.

We had to wait for the whole device to be manufactured. It came in a couple of weeks earlier than we expected, which was a nice surprise. Two gentlemen came to install it, and programmed it. It was not an easy job there, and they cleaned up after themselves, and were pleasant. The measurements were perfect, so there were no problems there. Minimal amount of disruption or damage. They did lots of test drives, making sure it was customed to my mother. They were very good and professional. The lift made a big difference for my mother.

Colleen, thank you for such a detailed write-up.

A custom curved rail that runs all the way to the second floor in a single continuous piece is one of the harder stairlift installs to get right. The rail has to follow every contour of the staircase exactly, which is why the measurement and schematic phase takes the time it does. Glad to hear our sales process and on-site measurements set the install crew up for success, because once the manufacturing is done, there's no fixing a bad measurement. That's the part that determines whether the whole job goes smoothly or turns into a return trip.

Coming in two weeks earlier than expected is something we love but never promise. Manufacturing lead times on curved stairlifts can swing in either direction depending on the factory queue, so we always quote on the longer side and treat early deliveries as a bonus. Glad it worked in your favor.

The part that matters most though is the test drives and custom programming for your mother. Every stairlift can technically be installed and walked away from, but the difference between a chair that gets used every day and one that sits unused often comes down to whether the install crew took the time to dial it in for the specific person using it. Sounds like that happened here.

Thank you again for trusting us with the install, and please reach out any time questions come up about the stairlift down the road.

I was going to get Bruno originally, which is one of the very big companies, and they referred me to Mobility, which does their local installation. Mobility does the local installation for a couple of companies, and they were approved by Bruno to do it. But our stairway wasn’t so wide, and the Bruno seats are much bigger, so we switched to another company. The one we switched to works better than the one we initially looked at with Bruno. The stairlift fits better and is smaller.

Zach, the one I spoke with, arranges everything. He’s the go-to, and he sets up the guys to come. The first person who came gave us a general idea of what was going to go on and different kinds of things and suggestions. Then the crew came back to measure and they were very helpful. In the end, two guys from the same group came back to install it, the ones we had already met, and they were really wonderful and explained everything from beginning to end. The installation went very well and everybody was very good. I was very pleased with every person I was in touch with. All the questions I had, the reps were always there to answer and accommodate us.

Price-wise, it’s very expensive. I did not want to spend this money, but we had stairs that turned two times. It only turned once going up, but I did not want my husband getting off at the top of the stairs. I wanted it to turn to the side where the railing was so when he gets off, he’s away from the top of the steps. And that required another curve. My husband likes the stairlift so far. I’ve never had one before, and it’s working well.

      Thanks for your vote!
      Mobility123
      Response from Mobility123

Lanee, thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review. You actually captured one of the things that sets our process apart, which is that we carry several stairlift brands (Bruno, Access BDD, etc.) rather than only one. Many installers are tied to a single brand, so when a customer's stairway doesn't fit that brand's seat profile, the answer is usually "we can't help you." Being able to switch you to a different brand that fit your narrower staircase, while keeping the same install team you already met, is exactly how this is supposed to work.

The second curve decision was a smart one and worth calling out. Most people in your position would have stopped at the single turn the staircase actually requires, because adding a curve costs real money. The fact that you specifically wanted the chair to land on the railing side, away from the top of the steps, is the kind of forward thinking that prevents falls years down the road. That's the part of a stairlift install that doesn't show up in a brochure but really matters once you start using it every day.

Glad the consultation, measurement, and install crew were consistent throughout. That continuity is something we work hard to maintain because every stairlift install has small details only the original crew remembers, and rotating people in and out tends to lose those details.

Thank you again for trusting us with your husband's safety, and please give us a call any time questions come up about the stairlift.

The stairlift from Mobility123 is wonderful. It goes up and down. It happens in two parts, though, because we have four steps. Mobility123 was recommended to us and when they came out to do their presentation, it was smooth. We’re old people and we had no issues at all. As far as the install, the gentleman came early morning, and we knew when he was coming. He worked through three hours, and he completed the job. He cleaned up, too. The people from Mobility123 were very professional. They allowed us to sit in the stairlift and try it out. They explained what needed to be done to get it to move up and down, and the safety issues that we should be aware of. It's a good fit for us. We're very satisfied.

Ms. Allen, thank you for the thoughtful review. A split stairlift setup for a landing like yours takes a little extra planning, so we're glad the whole process from presentation through install felt smooth and easy to follow. Our installer takes pride in leaving the job site clean and making sure customers are fully comfortable operating the lift before he leaves. Enjoy the new stairlift, and give us a call anytime you need us.

My husband uses the Mobility123 stairlift. My daughter told me about a friend of hers who had gotten one for her mother from Mobility123, and they were so happy with it. We went with them as well and their customer service was excellent. The fellow who installed it answered our questions and gave advice. He was so good. We are so glad to have it. My husband, after five months, was able to go back upstairs and sleep in bed.

Mobility123 recently installed a stairlift in our home. We could not have asked for better service. Technician Merlin ** initially came to measure our stairs and to describe the stairlift that best suited our needs. He explained the stairlift in remarkable detail. He spent all the time we wanted to answer our questions. We were impressed. Owner Adam ** clearly answered our questions about pricing. We didn’t hesitate. Merlin installed the stairlift a few days later and made sure we completely understood how to operate it. The stairlift works as expected. That’s great service! Thanks, guys!

We've gone ahead and ordered an elevator from Mobility123, so we're into them for a lot of money.

      Response from Mobility123

Sharon, thank you for taking the time to write this. Customers in the middle of an elevator project usually have plenty on their plate, so sitting down to leave feedback on the stairlift experience means a lot.

The "a lot of money" line is fair, and it's honestly the reason we put as much weight on service as we do on the install itself. A stairlift is a meaningful investment, and a home elevator (homelift) is a much bigger one, so the only way any of this works is if the service after the install lines up with the conversation at the start. Glad to hear the small service repair on the stairlift was handled well. That's the part nobody sees in the brochure, but it's the part that really tells you whether you picked the right company.

Really looking forward to getting your elevator in. We'll work hard to earn the second half of that investment the same way we earned the first.

Janet, thanks for the review. Everyone will all appreciate the shoutout, and it's nice when one review captures the whole journey from scheduling through install and into service.

The stop button getting bumped happens more often than you'd think on a stairlift, especially in the first few weeks while you're still getting used to the layout of the controls and the way the chair sits in the stairwell. We'd much rather come out and reset it for you than have you wrestling with it on your own, so glad our technician could swing back and get the stairlift moving again quickly.

Hope it keeps being the convenience you were looking for.

Paul, thank you for the kind review. Our technicians take every stairlift install seriously, and it means a lot when a customer notices the care that went into it. Taking the time on day one to walk through every feature and answer questions really does pay off, because the more comfortable you are with how the stairlift works, the more naturally it fits into your daily routine.

The part about not worrying about falling is the piece that matters most to us. Stairs are one of the most common places for serious falls at home, and removing that risk is the whole reason this product exists.

Glad our crew could give you that peace of mind, and give us a shout if any questions come up about the stairlift down the road.
