HomeAdvisor.com was recommended by a friend when I called her to see who she used for kitchen appliance repairs. I was surprised when the recommended appliance repair companies all called me at almost the same time when I requested the names of recommended appliance repair companies that served my area via their website. I ended up using the company that I spoke with first. All 3 companies seemed to want my business and made me feel like I would be a valued customer. I was also reassured by the positive comments on the companies. I would not hesitate to use the HomeAdvisor.com site in the future.

Recently I needed to engage the services of both a landscaper and plumbing... although I hadn't used HomeAdvisor a long time. I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and professional contractor I got through HomeAdvisor... now we know why Angie's List wet "free".

This is a great way to search for contractors and have adequate feedback from others to make a decision. I would recommend to anyone who is looking for work to be done by contractors.

I would grade the three contractors I've hired through HomeAdvisor as a B, a B+ and an A+, but the A+ job was the most important and expensive, so I am quite satisfied with the overall service.

HomeAdvisor did a wonderful service to me by providing me the right company to do this plumbing problem job for us! The service was prompt to come to my home and did the job less than one hour! The leak came from a pipe that had split underneath the house. This pipe was positioned to go through the outside wall to where a faucet was attached so we could have access to hook up a hose. The plumber that we had come out last year did not fix the problem! I know this service has, thank you Chris for all your work!

Like the way HomeAdvisor gives the option of whether you want to be contacted or not. I like the fact that I can get a free estimate without being charged till I hire. The ratings give me the opportunity to pick up the right person after reading all the reviews.

Very professional company, both times I used have been very satisfied. Some contractors call the same day that I called. Always 4 1/2 + star rating. I have been very happy with HomeAdvisor's service.

We searched HomeAdvisor for a company to paint the nonbrick part of our house. We got several suggestions and an appointment set up by HomeAdvisor with Day Painters. They were the ones we chose as their quote was less than quotes outside of HomeAdvisor.

This was my first experience with using HomeAdvisor, but it won't be my last. I felt comfortable choosing a company from the list given me, knowing you had looked into them and they were reliable and safe to use.

HomeAdvisor gave 3 Pros that we could contact for quotes on paving a driveway, 4 parking spaces, and a garage floor. We also got quotes from other paving companies. The company that we hired was one of the pros from HomeAdvisor. They were the most informative in advice and how the work was performed. HomeAdvisor has proven to be an invaluable resource to me. I get to select from several options and that is a real plus to me. This time I needed a couple of LARGE trees removed. Providers were prompt & very competitive with quotes. The reviews were very helpful. I got the job done quickly & professionally at an excellent price! In the picture, the large tree's stump is over 3 feet in diameter. The smaller one is almost 12 inches. Both had died (Large from age, small from a limb falling on it from the larger tree). No need for grinding. A tree farm will come out, punch the new hole and carry the stump away so that they can plant a new, large-Caliper Tree in its place.

Hiring Tree Hugger to trim my four trees was a great experience. They are the best out there.

I had used HomeAdvisor in the past and after a worthless experience vowed never to use them in the future. While searching for a handyman to reset some tiles, I came across a handyman that was only reachable via HomeAdvisor. I clicked and was immediately connected with the gentleman I was searching for! Work was professionally done and on time. The old toilet was removed and trashed and the new toilet was installed. The new toilet works as expected. The new toilet was purchased by me and on site when the plumber arrived. Parts not included with the new toilet were furnished and installed by the plumber.

I needed to find a company to install a sprinkler system for us. HomeAdvisor gave me multiple options and we chose one that exceeded our expectations.

Quick and easy to find a contractor or more than one to come and get the job quoted and then done.

Most contractors make initial contact. Some don't. You ask for an estimate and if you are lucky at least one gives you a price. I've had this experience more than once now with HomeAdvisor. Maybe my job was too small, but contractors should have the courtesy of calling you back and saying so.

In the heat of OK summer I did get a provider who could come quickly and get the diagnosis and worked quickly to get me working again.

I have a chain link fence and the gate base pipe rusted out and the gate was hanging off center and would not open or close. Bill ** removed the base pipe and replaced it, then he cut and trimmed the fence material on the base so the gate would open and close without getting hung up in the grass. It works better now that it ever did before.

Water was extracted from behind the tile. Repaired, cleaned, grouted and everything sealed.

The initial contact from the owner came within about 5 minutes of submitting a service request. The technician replaced the capacitor, thermostat, and cleaned out the unit in just over 2 hours. Couldn't have asked for better customer service from either and the rates were reasonable especially for this kind of situation (no AC with 80-90 degree weather everyday and I have 2 pets).

When Does an Appointment Made not Equal an Appointment Made? Here's what HA sent me by email: "Stripe or Mark Parking Lot. Thursday, July 7, 2016 @ 11:00 AM (PDT). Your appointment is scheduled with this pro:" But when no one showed up at that time, I called the pro. They had no appointment in their books. Turns out, after research, the "Your appointment is scheduled with this pro:" is not an appointment made with the pro. It's an appointment made with HomeAdvisor. Their "appointment... with this pro" is totally misleading. And future users should be aware of that which is why I'm writing this review. And I hope someone at HA revises their automatic responses to make it clear that the "appointment" is with HA, not with the pro. Which means, that meaningful appointment, with the pro, must still be made.

Wood floor refinishing - Very professional, time worked to complete job was exactly what was committed to. Left the house very clean when job was completed. Would use again.

Electrical repair - HomeAdvisor presents several good options for me to choose. There is information and reviews presented for my review. We have used this service 3 times now and are most pleased with the companies we have chosen. I have told all my neighbors to use this service.

Samsung Refrigerator Ice maker repair - Company sent was prompt, efficient, polite, knowledgeable. I had no problem with the company except the replacement part did not work. A new part had to be ordered. The replacement part did not come straight out of the box but in a parts box in the back of his van. This part should have been checked before installation.

The process was excellent as the "process flow" made the experience a piece of cake. We have been members since 2001 and did not use it for a while but are back.

Water heater inspection - My appointment was made quickly even though he was busy. I think honesty is one of the most important things and the company was both honest and efficient. Since I have a gas water heater, I feel a lot better knowing it has been inspected. I am confident with the information he gave me.

I've used HomeAdvisor in the past for lawn services and found a dependable provider. When my garage door started to malfunction, I contacted my original installer who put me off and said he would have someone call me. After four weeks and a follow-up call, I decided to try HomeAdvisor again. The service worked like a charm. My garage door was repaired the next day by a service professional and now operates like it is brand new.

Kitchen plumbing leak and repair - I was pleased to learn about HomeAdvisor and wouldn't hesitate to call on them for repairs (not that I want anything else to go wrong!). Wayne was knowledgeable and a "get in and get out" type of guy. He did his job well.

They helped me find an A/C repairman for a same day repair. Picked up my call and the first listed was not taking calls so they went to the second. I don't usually take chances like this but it worked out. I was trusting the reputation they are trying to build. It probably cost less than some of the others I called but were not available. The repairman seemed professional, answered my questions and got me up and running the same day though he needed to buy the part and return to complete the job.

HomeAdvisor seemingly refers good companies. Service has been good. Value is good.

I ran a maintenance dept for several years and feel this is a very helpful tool for people that don't know how to find people to do the work that they need to get done around the house. You can also read what other people thought about the work they had done and if they were satisfied or not.

After posting my request for a qualified pro for my specific need, I was given 2 choices, and one of them got in contact with us immediately. Within days, my problem has been solved. I was encouraged that HomeAdvisor had already checked out the businesses, so I could feel comfortable having them do my repairs.

Very professional and did a excellent job dry cleaning. This is the first time we tried the dry cleaning and very happy with the results.

HomeAdvisor is a great resource but as with any resource do your homework, read reviews and pray that the business will keep their word. The reviews mean a lot to businesses so please do review!!

We have used HomeAdvisor two times now. Both times the contractors have been reliable, very helpful with suggestions, great cost for the work that was done. They were honest and a pleasure to work with.

Integrity Mechanical was one of their suggested contractors. I was very pleased with their work and their quick response even on the Friday before a holiday weekend.

Needed sink reinstalled after having new kitchen counters put in. Ended up being more complicated, as new sink from counter company was deeper than old one so it interfered with existing pipes. Also ended up with new garbage disposal as it was old and rusted and was damaged when removed to install counter. Bob was very good about keeping me up-to-date as issues popped up, and gave me estimates before continuing. Went out and got new disposal for me and everything was still completed in same day.

Service provider contacted me within 10 minutes to arrange an estimate. We met the next day, and I was impressed with the professionalism and enthusiasm and I hired him immediately. Plumber showed up the next business day with his assistant (the others did not appear to have assistants) and got the work done the same day, even with the additional project I had for them to do. The work was done within the time predicted and there were no additional expenses associated. I would hire this service again.

I have used HomeAdvisor a couple of times before. It is helpful to be able to have access to local companies that also show their customer reviews available before someone is hired.

Providers are eager and willing to help right away.

Requested a pro to repair my garage door opener. HomeAdvisor redirected me to set the appointment. I received a confirmation, but no one called or showed up. I called company and they had not received any info on an appointment.
