After being notified by my HOA that there were termites in our neighborhood, I discovered damage at my back door. I started looking online and discovered the HomeAdvisor referral system. They promptly provided options. Each company contacted me directly. I was able to get immediate appointments; and once I selected the service I preferred, the treatments were provided quickly and with great respect. The only minor negative is that I received an email titled "Have you found your pro yet?" but no link within that email that allowed me to say "Yes!" I was able to log onto the site and finalize that information but it would have been easier if there had been an immediate CTA.

Robbie was very professional. He worked quietly and quickly, and took about an hour for installation of 2 ceiling fans. I will definitely call him again for future electrical needs. He also advised us about some other services we should consider because we purchased a brand new home, such as surge protection for the house.

Eagles Nest did a great job trimming trees, removing tress and trimming shrubs. They were quick to respond to call and give estimate. They cleaned up the area well. Work was done within a week of the estimate. Highly recommend. Great communication, work and price.

An excellent service for finding reputable home repair services in your area. I would suggest that they improve their ability to reach out to the scheduled service provider when something goes wrong (Like a no-show). They did not have sufficient contact information for the first person I had scheduled to come out for an estimate and I ended up having to start the process all over again. Other than that, every other service I connected with through HomeAdvisor has been great!

My upstairs bath/shower combo was draining very slowly. During a normal length shower the tub would back fill with almost 6 inches of water. I hired an electrician thru this site who gave me bad service, advice and diagnosis. I called HomeAdvisor and complained, but never heard back from them. It was only several weeks later that someone called from HomeAdvisor and left message. I called the number back and still waiting for them to call me back. I needed the gutters on the side of my home replaced. Abraham did a great job and the price was good. I am very satisfied and will recommend to friends and family. He was on time and got right to work. The quality of work was exceptional.

Foundation repair. Only recommended 2 contractors out of at least 20 options. Did not feel they had much of a sample or a good history of work performed. I had already used one of their suggested contractors and found them unsatisfactory.

HomeAdvisor referred a Dave Mathews CL for a remodel of a basement. This "contractor/plumber" had no business, contractor or plumbing licensing. We hired him on good faith because HomeAdvisor said they did all background checks and confirmed all state licensing. This person has multiple judgments against him and HomeAdvisor still backed him. He came in and did nothing to code, had no idea what he was doing, told his unlicensed electrician to put a lien on our house if he wanted paid. We are now looking at $15,000 to get our basement to code. He did no fire-blocking and the basement was wired wrong. We've been told by the city inspectors that our basement is now a fire danger.

Provided me with excellent service and recommendations. Very pleased!! Was able to book two services for my restaurant which led to a huge savings in repairs as compared to other services not offered by HomeAdvisor. I will now use HomeAdvisor for any business, as well as residential services.

Established remote iPhone connection for monitoring when not at home. Cleaned up all areas. In addition, wall mounted 3 HD SONY TVs. Some vendors have been excellent and others have been horrible: Len The Plumber was the best vendor I've used from HomeAdvisor, and AJ Construction, which charged me $745.00 to mount and connect a TV on the wall, was THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE I have ever had, hiring anybody for anything in my entire 81 years.

When comparing the actual done by the contractor to the reviews on HomeAdvisor, I can say the that those reviews were very accurate. This eliminated much of the worry in selecting and hire someone.

Provides us with professional and reliable builders. You provided me with 5 builders names (5 different jobs). One builder sent an employee to quote to remove 3 trees and grind the stumps. When the builder got here to cut the trees, he doubled his price from a prior quote from his employee. I had 2 other quotes that were close to his employee's quote. So hired a different builder.

Technician did a troubleshoot of three of the seven sprinkler head controllers to determine why sprinklers were still spraying water even though the Rain Bird System had been turned off for all zones. The Technician quickly determined the cause, and stated that there was a problem with, 1, possible 2 of the 7 in-ground sprinkler controls. Upon completion of the repair, the Technician turned the Rain Bird system on and everything worked well.

Texted Joseph for help with granite stains. Pleasantly surprised that he called himself the next day. Offered some advise over the phone and wrote me a quick estimate for insurance per my request. Had that night. He was amazing. Unfortunately the granite countertop was beyond repair, but he then offered to come by to try using a product that may help at no cost. He came by within 1 day and tried a product that was able to at least dull the stains. Also left me some to continue to use at no charge. Would highly recommend him. Very experienced and knowledgeable in his trade. Honest and reliable.

Several plumbers was not able to locate the clog. Smart Choice was able to locate and partially unblock clog/sewer line w/in an hour. The sewer line belongs to the HOA. I at least had an indoor toilet again!!! Jerry explained everything to me. He also told me what needs done to prevent reoccurrence.

The only thing I don't call is the numerous phone calls that I get after I look for professionals. Home Advisor gave me a good overall repair tech. I had some issues with the price going above quote prior to inspecting appliance (Viking refrigerator) and was asked to pay over half upfront on initial intake which was bothersome since I did not know the company. This was not the fault of HA.

R.O. Construction was prompt and professional in the repair of my Asphalt Shingle roof. Rain water was leaking into the interior wall from areas where the roof meets the chimney (a common problem). They blew leaves, they raked leaves, they trimmed up trees, they hauled off debris that I had on the side of my home from previous yardwork done by my husband. I have almost an acre of rocks with tons of trees and a massive water fountain that runs the length of my backyard with a walking bridge over it. The two man crew was able to make everything look clean and leaf free, for my best friend's wedding that was held in my backyard.

Jeff Birdsall Builders, did a very professional job. His excellent work, showing great craftsmanship abilities was greatly appreciated. We are already planning more contractual, construction work in the fall. He built a beautiful deck over a carport and added a spiral staircase. It is breathtakingly outstanding, overlooking our inground pool and gardens. We will be enjoying it for many years to come. We are now in the process of decorating it and will submit pictures when completed. J.W. Birdsall Builders will be our new contractor for all our future endeavors.

This is the fourth time I have used HomeAdvisor for various projects. Two were home construction repair and maintenance. One was for welding a broken part on my mower deck. I have been happy with the results and costs on all of these projects.
