Termite Treatment - The estimate was very specific. The technician was professional and explained what he was going to do and did it. He explained the warranty program and that I would get an invoice in the mail in a year. I paid by credit card by calling the office.

HomeAdvisor's pro got the job done quickly. He came on time, figured out the problem, advised us what needed to be done, and did it promptly. I felt the cost was a little high for about a half hour of work, but overall I have no complaint.

I needed our lawn mowed asap as our mower broke. All I had to do was type my zip code into HomeAdvisor and said I needed lawn mowed. Within seconds a landscaper called me and set up an appt that week. So stress free! And they did a great job. I used to get so stressed out about calling home service people but HomeAdvisor makes it much easier. Will use them again!

A/C was last serviced in Feb 17. Wanted it checked out and investigate a potential problem with water overflow. The respondent company was very quick to come, analyze the problems, and accomplish the work. The HomeAdvisor representative was very quick to respond to my request and passed on the info in a very timely manner.

Despite a link that says "change your email address," the link takes you to the login page where there is no way to change your email address. Why don't you simply allow it in a "profile" section or in the email preferences. Taking me to a chat screen where I have to answer countless, irrelevant questions to simply ask someone how to do this is a waste of my time. BTW - I just retired as an e-commerce and digital marketing professional. You should consider hiring me as a consultant. You could use it.

They did lots of follow up to see if the vendor I used was fair and did a good job that I was pleased with. I received numerous phone calls and emails regarding the project (tree removal) and the vendor I selected.

HomeAdvisor provided an excellent selection of contractors that I contacted. Got bids from 5 qualified contractors. Selected Jersey Roofing LLC as the best of the group for my requirements. Each of the contractors they suggested were extremely knowledgeable and provided quotes very quickly.

The job was completed to my satisfaction with knowledge that carpentry and replacement of framework including painting of the wood, was done to ever protect water damage from causing future rotting... Everything was done to shore up and secure the framework and door.

Although I was very pleased with the firm I hired to do the extensive tuck pointing on my home, I was very disappointed in the responses I received from other firms. sump pump repair/replacement - Received a call from two recommended plumbing companies shortly after going on site. Very pleased with the company selected. They came out later that day, discovered the problem and completed the work the next day. They did not try to sell me something I didn't need and took care of the problem at a very reasonable cost.

Needed doors replaced quickly and the service we received was fast! They came in and gave us the quote right away and began repairs. Considering I had to do everything over the phone from several hundred miles away, they kept me informed every step of the way.

Plumbing - Finds honest professionals. Follows up with a telephone call to get your feedback. Would be helpful if they can provide hourly rate and the experience level of the contractor they recommend. If I am looking for a handyman to do variety of things, I need to know his hourly/daily labor rate and the estimate of the project cost.

Needed a large tree limb that had broken off removed right away because I am selling the house. Used Home Advisor and found a good person. He came right out, gave me an estimate, and then a couple days later came out with his team and removed the limb.

So far, I'm happy with the contractor. The work will start next week. The young man that runs the business is very personable. I hoping that my husband and I will end up being happy with the finished project and be able to recommend Home Advisor to our friends and relatives.

Tree removal - I received several companies' names who all called me to estimate the job. The company we choose was willing to wait until October when we wanted the work completed. They were very responsive to all our requests for insurance certificate and written quote. They stood by the quote from July until the work was done in October. This was a good experience and we have had experience with many contractors both interior, exterior and yard. In the future I will check with HomeAdvisor before proceeding with hiring another contractor to work on my home, or my elderly mother’s home.

HomeAdvisor's contractors have been very good, honest, and professional. I think that HomeAdvisor does check its contractors, backgrounds, history of jobs performed, etc. I have used HomeAdvisor's contractors/recommendations 5, 6 times, and all have performed good jobs at very decent prices.

We had to call for service. The A/C handler was leaking water and they has to take the unit apart and clean it all out. They also had to clean the part of the unit that is outside. They were here for an hour or more. They were both very professional and courteous.

HomeAdvisor will not post a review for a contractor unless you hire them. This most certainly eliminates many poor reviews for the contractor. In my case the contractor called after a couple of days and I gave him my address to stop and give me a quote. He never showed up. I would think this would be good information for others to know but no one will because my review will not be posted because I did not hire the contractor. I am sure with would also eliminate many reviews of dissatisfied consumers, including that they were way overpriced or not responsive so they were not hired. So be cautious with the HomeAdvisor reviews and keep their review policy in mind when using them. They seem to be skewed toward the contractors.

They came right on time. They removed a large Chinese Elm and several small trees. Ground out all the stumps and then planted Italian Cypress Trees. They did a great job removing all the old trees. They planting the new trees and then cleaned up, they really did a very good job. The crew was very professional, and brought some plywood to make sure no damage came to windows or doors. Popcorn Ceiling Removal & Plaster Ceiling Repair/Paint - The job was started when promised and completed on schedule for the contracted price by skilled craftsmen under expert supervision. They will tell you anything to get you to sign up whether it's the truth or not. They told me I could shut off leads whenever I want but they didn't tell me that the leads automatically turn back on at 1am in the morning 2 days later. Also prepare to pay for bad leads. They say they will refund them but they don't. Very greedy company. I will never use them again.

Replace Siding with Hardie Cement Boarding - I asked for siding contractors to replace siding (Specifically cement, NO Vinyl) You sent me: 1- "I do not do ANYTHING but vinyl", 1- "I only repair, NOT replace siding", 1- "I don't do cement" and 1- Excellent candidate. I would NOT consider that you even read my request based on the contractors that responded.

Both the owner and Brandon (technician) were pleasant to deal with. I am so appreciative they were able to come out and fix our stopped kitchen drain the same day! We would definitely hire them again, but hopefully not TOO soon!

I would recommend Norcal Air Duct Cleaning. They are professional and get right to work and do the job well. I give them 5 stars... He made my place smell fresh and clean with orange citrus. He was courteous and knew his job. We had a mouse infestation so he had to deal with mouse droppings in the vents. I feel that all is clean and can now start my furnace when I need to without no worries...

Septic system pump-out: Even though I posted my message on the Sunday of a holiday weekend, I received a return phone call from the prospective "pro" within minutes of my posting. And the pro couldn't have been more satisfactory: nice, professional, responsible, and with reasonable pricing. (The pro's own website had said, understandably enough, that his office was closed at the time. That's why I approached him through HomeAdvisor. AC problem was diagnosed as having a refrigerant leak. First day to allow ice to melt around Evaporator coil to check for leaks. Second day, leaks were discovered in the Evaporator coil, which was rusted badly on the end caps where the tubes loop through the fins. A new coil was located and scheduled for replacement the next day. 3rd day unit was replaced in addition to a capacitor used for starting the Condenser Compressor. Also had drain traps installed on both AC units. 5 lbs of refrigerant were also added to system after the repair was completed. The entire process went very smoothly and he made a point to call me to keep me informed as far as coil availability, when he would arrive and costs related. Would definitely recommend his services to others. Very friendly and courteous, good work ethics and professional.
