We had our closets (master and pantry) remodeled and went with Home Depot interiors. A design consultant came (named Scott and was very professional and great). Then, the first attempt ended up with the installers not bringing the necessary materials to finish even one closet. Before this, I was asked to empty the two closets so my bedroom and kitchen are basically unusable due to the items scattered everywhere. Six weeks later, a reschedule was initiated and cancelled, then another, then another.

The fourth reschedule ended with me in absolute disbelief about how this was being managed and the supervisor whom I spoke to through the consultant company (K&P Remodeling-Dave **) was absolutely RUDE. Did not allow me to explain anything and just kept talking over me, interrupting me when I was trying to explain what happened the first few times and proceeding to tell me how even though my appointment for that FOURTH time was cancelled maybe I should utilize the time to head into work late because it was only 10 am and this way my day would not be affected (NOT their prerogative to lecture me when they can't get one scheduling appointment to hold).

I was trying to ask them how they were going to ensure that I trust them to come and finish the job and I got so much backlash from this supervisor who absolutely refused to listen to anything I had to say! I have paid for a service (for which they took the payment pretty much immediately) and now I expect that service to be rendered in full. As a consumer, I do not think this should be a SUCH a problem. I also do NOT expect to be verbally and emotionally abused by the supervisor of the company in the way he handled the entire situation (the call left me in tears in the way he spoke to me). Entirely scarring experience and I feel that Home Depot tends to set higher standards in our heads but do NOT be fooled. It is probably better to go with a local contractor or trusted handyman. I do NOT recommend their services! The one star I have given is for Scott, our consultant and I thank him for his professionalism.

I purchased 28 Shadamatic roller blinds for a cost of $8000. The blinds were installed minus one which was not received. It took three months to get. All the blinds except the three blackout blinds looked good and were installed properly. The three in the bedroom did not look good at all. They looked like a tarp hanging there. I tried calling the decorator. She told me to talk to the installer. The installer said to try customer service. Customer service said I had to talk to the installer. What a nightmare. I finally got a call back from Michelle. She said she would look into it and call me back in a couple of days. It is now a week later and I have heard nothing. We are very frustrated with Home Depot and will no longer buy any services there after being loyal customers for many years.

We recently purchased all of our appliances for our new home from The Home Depot in Vernon, BC. We experienced excellent customer service from the appliance sales professional at that location, however when we needed to exchange our Samsung refrigerator for a different Samsung model, the subsequent delivery on September 19, 2018 resulted in an experience that left me feeling threatened and unsafe in my own home. Two men arrived at our front door that day and I could see that they had already unloaded the refrigerator onto our driveway. The older delivery man came to our front door and insisted that they would be moving the refrigerator in that door.

I explained that I would open our garage door and that the door to the kitchen was in a straight line directly through the laundry room. The delivery man raised his voice to yell at me and told me that "they wouldn't be touching our front door - not to worry about it" and that they were coming in the way he was telling me. I explained that we didn't move furniture into our home that way and offered to show him where our kitchen was located in relation to the garage. At that point he pushed past me through our front door and both delivery men walked through our home (in their boots spreading mud and sand from the driveway onto the hardwood floors), to the kitchen. The older man turned and told me that they'd be taking the refrigerator in through the front door.

I followed him to the door and told him that I was the customer and I was telling him that I wanted it taken in through the garage. He continued to yell at me and tell me that they wouldn't touch our door, and if I didn't let him take it in that door they'd take the refrigerator back with them. At that point I closed the front door and locked it and called my son who was working in the area to ask him if he'd come help me. I walked to the laundry room while I was on the phone with our son and opened the garage door. The younger delivery man was on the phone with his dispatch at that point so I asked him if I could speak to the dispatcher.

I explained to the woman on the phone that it was a more direct path through the garage into the kitchen and that there were less stairs. She asked me to give the phone back to the driver and I assume she told them to deliver the refrigerator in through the garage as they began to move it in towards me. The older man was still yelling at me and telling me that they should be delivering the appliance in through whatever way they chose. My son drove up at that point, hopped out of his truck and walked into the garage and asked them "what seems to be the problem here?" The older delivery man's voice and tone immediately changed and he told my son that there wasn't any problem and that they just wanted to move the fridge in through the front door.

My son told him that they wouldn't be doing that and used the same rationale as I had. He also told them that if they didn't want to move it in, they could just leave it in the garage and he'd do it. The delivery men said no, they'd do it, and proceeded. Within a couple of minutes they had the refrigerator in the kitchen. When they were back in the garage I asked them for their names and neither one of them would answer me. Unfortunately they weren't wearing name tags, and their truck was white and completely unmarked.

As soon as they left I called The Home Depot and reported my experience. The person who took my call said that she'd have her manager (who was currently on lunch) call me back before the end of her shift that day at 6 pm. I didn't receive a callback, so on the following day I called the Vernon store and spoke with the Assistant Manager on duty. He assured me that he'd follow up and get back to me, however he never did. I was in Vernon the following week so I stopped in at the store. The assistant manager I had spoke to on the phone was out at the time, but the manager on duty told me that they'd pass the message along and have him call me. Again, there was no follow up.

On Tuesday, October 2nd I called The Home Depot again and this time spoke to someone very helpful who logged a complaint number (which apparently hadn't been done any of the other 3 times I had contacted The Home Depot). After listening to the details of my experience and logging the complaint he transferred me through to the Project Support Center. The woman I spoke to assured me that she would be immediately processing the refund for the 2nd refrigerator we had to purchase.

When I reiterated my experience with the driver on September 19th and expressed that my primary concern was that something needed to be done to ensure that he wouldn't be doing this to someone else, she began to tell me that I was giving him too much power by remaining so upset about the experience and that I should just try to get over it as unfortunately a lot of people just don't know anything about how to properly communicate with people. At the end of the call I realized that she hadn't told me what (if any) follow up would occur with regards to the delivery person. I kept checking our credit card for the next week. As of today (October, 9th, 2018), the refund still hadn't been processed so I called The Home Depot again.

Today I was told that there weren't many details on the complaint file. I was transferred through to two different people, and on the phone with them for over 1.5 hours while the project support representative attempted to figure out a way to get the refund processed. After telling me that I'd have to go into the store in Vernon to have that done, and me explaining that I lived in another town 40 minutes away, she finally put me through to someone at the Vernon store who processed the refund over the phone. When I asked what would be happening with my concern regarding my delivery experience, the representative from the Project Support Center told me that it was a separate issue and I'd have to call in again to follow it up with someone else.

At this point I no longer know what to do as it'll be three weeks tomorrow since I originally reported this to The Home Depot and no one seems to care that I was threatened, afraid for my own safety in my own home, and verbally abused by the delivery service The Home Depot uses to deliver products to their customers. I've never written a complaint, let alone submitted one online for public viewing, however I don't know what to do to ensure that this doesn't happen to anyone else. All I can say is please be extra cautious if you're having something delivered by The Home Depot (or any company for that matter), and please - at the very least DO NOT be at home alone.

Purchased the gutter installation from Home Depot home services in 2010. It came with a 20 year warranty against the finish chipping, flaking and blistering. Well the finish on 95% of the gutters are doing all of the above. The gutters are supposed to be a dark almost chocolate brown and they are losing their finish to show the original aluminum metal underneath. I've been calling and emailing for over a month to have someone come out and evaluate what will need to be done to make them right and do it.

I have received 2 phone calls from the warranty department saying they would be in touch with me to have that evaluation done. I have not received any correspondence from anyone other than those 2 calls. This has been over the course of a month. Do not bother with Home Depot home services, because they will not contact you to actually honor their warranty. I am done with the Home Depot.

I purchased a washer/dryer set thru the website. Since I was getting ready to move, I specified the delivery address to be my new house, while my billing address was my existing house since I hadn't moved yet when I made the purchase. Delivery date was the day after I moved. Home Depot subcontracts to a delivery company for these deliveries. On the day of the delivery, I get a call from this company stating that they attempted the delivery but no one was there. I answered that I'd been home all day so I didn't understand how that was possible. It turns out that Home Depot gave them the billing address as the delivery address. I asked the delivery company if they could just deliver to my new house (it's only about 1 mile distance between 2 addresses), and they said "No, Home Depot has to provide us with the new address".

I called my local HD store, and asked them to update the deliver address, and they responded that they couldn't...the whole order would have to be canceled and reordered. The new delivery couldn't happen for another 7-10 days. I decided to visit my local HD store (Bridgeville, PA) and asked to speak with a manager, since this was HD's mistake that results in my not having a washer for possibly 1.5 weeks. I explain the situation to Asst Store Manager Andy, asking if anything can be done. The only response I get is an extremely smug "That's unfortunate", and a refusal to do anything. I will never buy anything from HD ever again.

Vets are shocked. Wake up, HD! Talked to local manager; he simply repeated the corporate policy with reference to military discounts. Eventually, the news media will pick up on this discrepancy.

Anyway I happen to check this afternoon to see the status and it says delivered. I went outside to find it, nothing there. I call their customer service and tell them the situation. They tell me I have to dispute it with my bank and FedEx. This is not the consumer’s responsibility. I set up Direct to Consumer and Vendor Fulfillment as my career and we, the supplier, have total liability until the product is in the consumer’s hands. As a customer service rep you do not just blow off a customer like they did to me. “The order was fulfilled and delivered. You have to investigate.” -customer service rep.

Their product clearly failed. After following all of the proper routes of communication, Home Depot refused to stand by the product that sell in their store. I also received contradicting stories from the managers. If you want a store that stands by their product, Home Depot is not the place.

We have been remodeling our kitchen and have spent well over $20,000 at Home Depot doing so. One of the last steps was appliances and plumbing. I purchased a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher model #WDT750SAHZ from Home Depot in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Once delivered, it sat in its spot in the kitchen for 2-3 weeks without being hooked up to water or electricity. I paid Home Depot’s kitchen contractors to hook it up once they installed my plumbing. After installation and the contractor was gone, I noticed the dishwasher would not wash the dishes! It did NOT work! I had the contractor come back out (which took a week) to make sure it was hooked up correctly. It was.

I then called Home Depot and they told me it had been over 48 hours since delivery and therefore it was out of their hands. Nothing they would do about. I told them I do not want this dishwasher and I want it replaced. They sold me a completely broke, brand new dishwasher, and I paid their contractor to hook up, and there was nothing they would do for me. The manager at the Auburn Hills store was completely rude and treated me very poorly. After all the money I have spent at Home Depot and for Home Depot to say “It’s out of our hands”, is ridiculous. I then called Whirlpool and yes it was under warranty. After another week of waiting, Whirlpool came out and told me the Washing motor was not working and needed replacement. On a brand new dishwasher. Which they sold to Home Depot, completely broke. I now am waiting another week for them to come back and replace the motor on my brand new dishwasher.

I told Whirlpool also that I do not want it fixed, it needs to be replaced! It’s never even been used and it’s broke! What happens in a year when it’s out of warranty and it breaks again? The Whirlpool lady told me I could purchase an extended warranty for a fee. Are you serious?! I have also called Home Depot Corporate office to file a complaint and the women I spoke to (Angela) was also very rude. After explained what happened she sat silently for a moment, then read the online statement that ‘since it was passed the 48 hours, Home Depot will not do anything.’ Never did she say with meaning, ‘I’m sorry, I can’t believe that.’ Nothing. Just the online statement and where I could find it. This just makes me sick.

I will never buy from Home Depot or Whirlpool again. Not only do they not back their products they treat their customers extremely poor. After all the money I have put into your companies. I discourage anyone from shopping for appliances at Home Depot or purchasing any Whirlpool products! I hope no one ever has to go through the stress these companies have made for my family and I.

He left a message to call him back. My girlfriend called, he said he couldn’t talk right then and he’ll call her back. No call. The next day, no call. The next day we called Home Depot in Volo Illinois and talked to a manager, Kevin. He was very apologetic and assured us he would take care of it. Nothing! They look shiny and good for their purpose when, in fact, they are made of cheap plastic that does not stand up to use. And don't let the brand names fool you. I had a shower head clog up and, when I disassembled it, I found that the inside had just flaked off pieces of plastic clogging the ports. I ordered a power flush toilet for my handicapped son. After a long wait it arrives at the store. I go pick it up and when we open the box, the tank is cracked. I use online chat, email, and phone and they all tell me, "I would LIKE to help, but I can't." Bottom line is I have to buy another $350 toilet to get the broken part replaced. So I do it which will cause another trip to Home Depot to pick it up because they won't waive the shipping charges. Then I get an email from UPS telling me that they are picking up the broken toilet (which I never requested) from a house I lived in three years ago. I tried to get that cancelled, but UPS said, it was a Home Depot problem, not theirs. So today the new toilet is supposedly at the store (trip 3) and I will make them open the box to make sure this one is intact before I leave the store. Then I still have to rebox the broken one and lug the whole unit back to the store to return it.

Home Depot Shoreline WA did not honor their policy to price match Lowe’s home improvement. It may seem silly to some, but if a company offers price matching they need to list product exclusions. Nowhere in the fine print did it say they do not match pricing plant/ flowers in garden area. Lowe’s had mums 3 for $12, as did Fred Meyer and other stores. It is difficult fit my disabled military husband to shop fit heavy items. We had our nephew helping us with multiple items from Home Depot that day. When the manager came over to cash register to complete the override for the plants, he was rude.

The manager said no price match. Got garden items and began to walk away. I had the ad for both stores, and I asked where it said no price matching on plants. No response as I was talking to his back as he walked away. My husband who served this country deserves to be treated with respect. Irregardless, I should as a customer should be treated with respect and my questions answered. We send thousands of dollars per year at Home Depot. Looks like we will shop elsewhere. Corporate gave me a discount for the trouble and time getting workers to be present to receive the appliances, so that is something, but I had to insist on full refund from the store when I canceled the order. They did refund though, to give them just recognition.

The transport service by JB HUNT trucking needs to be change!!! They have no vested interest and refused twice to change door swings on the refrigerators I bought. The second one I made sure to have it on their paperwork and it was, but they were actually HOSTILE to the young man I had working to receive it for me. They were rude and belligerent.

It was only because I had an older more mature worker there that they did not just leave it like the other one some months before. The store checked to be sure HUNT had the change written on the paperwork and it WAS on it. The HD department called to have them return that day and make the change. JB HUNT initially said yes then after 2 weeks of 7 scheduled deliveries and damaged goods, I was too angry to wait any longer and went somewhere else for a refrigerator.

Far as I am concerned, someone should change company name to Home Despot.

I bought gutters from Home Depot on the interest free credit agreement. It's not interest free. They charge $2 per month as a minimum interest charge on my account. In a year they get $24 for every so called interest free account. Could be millions of dollars from people who think they are not being charged interest. Some people don't notice so they get away with this scheme and lie to their customers. They just lost doing 2 bathrooms in my house. It's just plain greed.

The handle completely fell off of the refrigerator bottom freezer, and they won't cover it. They don't consider it as "functional" -- they called it cosmetic. Can't really slide open the freezer. Recently widowed woman. Went to the store to buy some piping and a lawnmower. Had questions about lawn mower, young girl had no clue on anything I asked but she was fast at googling things. Without still finding the answers, left that department to get a piece of piping to set a clothes tree into in my yard. Questions I wanted to ask, no one around but young girls or older retiree age woman. Stopped one and asked if they sold or even had metal or aluminum piping, she directed me to PVC piping then left before could ask anything. So gave up on that project, until I can get more info, went back to mowers, specifically asked if there was someone different I could talk to. They sent the same young girl, with her handy dandy handheld machine, who still couldn't answer my questions. I had decided to get a mower anyways and just figure it out myself, so I asked for help to get it loaded in my truck.

I SPECIFICALLY SAID, "If you send that little girl again forget it", and what did they do? But send her again. I walked out and will not go back. Lowe's is much better, they always find someone who has knowledge about what you need. Home Depot doesn't care. Their employees lack even the basic knowledge to help someone. I knew more than this young girl did.

I am involved with a foundation job on my log cabin in Coker Creek, Tennessee, and ordered 60 railroad ties on a Monday from Home Depot in Lenoir City, about 32 miles away. I gave the nice pro desk saleslady complete directions to the cabin for delivery, and paid extra to have it delivered between 10 am and 2 pm. In my directions I included the fact that the driver needs to "cross a very shallow stream" on the way, with a maximum depth of 8 inches. I also sent along the number of the cabin landline in case there were any problems.

Thursday comes, and no delivery. Since there is no cell service here and I can't call long distance on my landline, I call my wife in Atlanta who starts making inquiries. "[The saleslady] is not working today" was the answer to the initial inquiry. Many hours and calls later, my wife finally gets someone to call me from the Lenoir City store. The not-so-nice substitute sales lady said the delivery order went through the Cleveland, TN store, but that they refused to deliver because it involved "crossing a stream."

"You mean to say I can drive my Camaro convertible across this patch of water, but you can't get a big truck (which can carry 60 RR ties) with over 12" of clearance across a stream with a maximum depth of 8 inches???" I asked, oh so politely, then added "a CAT would hardly get wet cross this thing!" I was furious and asked them to cancel my order and refund my money. This delay cost me hundreds of dollars in labor and other expenses, not to mention the fact that I missed days of work to be here! Even if they only told me up front so I could make other plans, that would work. I might not be happy, but at least I wouldn't be caught with my pants down in the middle of nowhere and FURIOUS!

I finally located another source of RR ties, but have no way of getting them to the cabin. I guess I'll tackle that problem tomorrow... Thanks Home Depot. You can stick this order where the sun don't shine! Next time - when I order from Lowe's or some other home improvement store - I will tell them they only need to cross a "small puddle"... which is actually what it is! Maybe their drivers aren't wicked witches who think they'll melt if they get their tires wet...

The contractor that took measurements promised you would not see the seams where the cuts were made. They are so visible it's horrible. The installers halfway through called me to have a look because the seams were going to be visible... apparently with Berber this happens. I immediately called Home Depot and still waiting for a resolution. In the meantime the responsibility to getting this rectified is on the consumer’s shoulders. This is wrong and totally unfair. We bought a brand new Whirlpool refrigerator from the Home Depot store on Scripps Poway Parkway on 9/3/2018. They delivered the refrigerator on 9/8/2018. We plugged in the refrigerator on 9/10/18 and found out a few days later that it did not get cold at all even though the lights and the fan seemed to be running. On 9/15/2018 we called the store and talked to the appliances department to see if we could take it back to the store and get a replacement. They would not take it back at all even though we haven't been able to use it. After multiple phone calls, on Monday, Fran from the store called and said that Whirlpool would send out a brand new replacement. We were fine with that solution. But then Fran called back and said that they decided to send out a technician to Tuesday 9/19/18 instead to see if the problem was simply a minor issue.

The technician came on 9/19/18 to diagnose. He basically said that the refrigerator is defective and the refrigeration unit did not work. He suggested that we should not keep a brand new refrigerator that did not work from the get-go. We called Home Depot and asked for refund from them since we bought the refrigerator from. The store assistant manager said that they would not take the refrigerator back and that we would have to deal with Whirlpool. We told them that we did not buy the refrigerator from Whirlpool and that we bought the refrigerator Home Depot and that they should deal with Whirlpool and refund us our money so we can go buy another refrigerator from elsewhere. The assistant store manager said that he would get back with us. Now we are in the waiting mode.

We are very disappointed in the way Home Depot treated us and the way they handled our problem. In our opinion, they should take responsibility for taking the refrigerator back and deal with Whirlpool. We hope they will refund us. We will contact their corporate office to see if they can resolve this issue and refund us as we requested. Over the years, we have spent thousands and thousands of dollars buying from Home Depot to build our house, landscape, business, etc. This event has made us realize that Home Depot is not the store to buy appliances and we will not go back to the store for anything else. We will go to Lowe's instead.

This has been a horrible experience. I decided to order everything for my kitchen and bath remodel from Home Depot. That was my first mistake. The cabinet order was botched - they delivered with 8 cabinets missing. They also did not communicate at all that the order would be a week later than they originally told me. I also tried to order a sink/pedestal combo online because it was not carried in the store. They delivered it broken 3 times. Twice it was delivered to my property and once to the store and it was broken every single time.

This is a rental property. The entire remodel is done and I still do not have a sink/pedestal so I can't rent out the unit. After a heated discussion with Kayla in corporate (employee id **) who refused to give any sort of compensation or even a gift card for the tremendous hassle I finally said to cancel it and we would get the sink/pedestal elsewhere.

For this specific store: hopefully you do not have an issue as wait time to speak with a manager averaged about 30-40 minutes standing in the store. They are also incompetent and dismissive. I asked one associate (a younger guy) where the cabinet handles/knobs were. He looked at me like I was crazy and said "we don't carry those." After wandering around the store I finally found them because of course they carry them. What a rude and dismissive answer.

The cabinet guy Chris was no help at all when our order was delayed and cabinets were missing. His solution was to have us call the cabinet manufacturer and/or trucking company that was supposed to make the delivery. I told him specifically that I wanted delivery to the unit since this is a second-floor apartment and of course they just dropped off pallets in front of the house. I had to hire movers to get them into the apartment. What a bad experience. I would definitely recommend NOT using this store or Home Depot. I don't know what a better alternative is but their customer service was terrible. Very disappointed at the way I was treated.

I asked Scott who was standing in the adjacent department if he could help me. His response "Oh I guess I can." I told him what I was interested in for a clothes washer. His information was sparse at best. Fortunately, I had a good idea of the machine I wanted. Scott wrote the ticket up. Everything looked good until I noticed he had charged me for a set of water hoses that I had not asked for. The problem started at this point.

I had paid with a debit card (cash). Scott and other people in the appliance department and at the customer service counter could not figure out how to adjust my ticket. Their solution was to cancel the sale and issue another sale. That would mean I would have to use my debit card again and hope they could issue me a credit on the first purchase the next business day. I declined, their next solution was for me to wait for the delivery in 11 days and return the extra water hoses for a refund. Good grief! I have worked in retail management for 40+ years. We made mistakes, but, we never let a customer leave our store without a resolution to their purchase problem. Especially, if we caused the problem.

My husband and I will never order any appliance from The Home Depot ever again. On 8/12, we purchased a dryer and set up delivery for that following Saturday, 8/18. We got notification that it would be delivered between 11-1 PM and that we would receive a call 30 minutes in advance. 12:45 rolled around and we didn't hear anything, so I called them. It took all day and ME calling them 4 times to find out that the manufacturer never shipped the dryer and the warehouse never received it. Since it was a Saturday, the warehouse couldn't get in contact with the manufacturer to sort out the delay; I was told somebody would call me back within 3-5 days.

That following Friday came, and I never heard anything so I called again. Turned out that dryer was on back order, and they rescheduled the delivery for today (9/12), without speaking to me first. So, I took the day off work and received notification yesterday that my dryer would be delivered between 10-2. Well, 1:50 rolled around and again, no call. I called The Home Depot and AGAIN, they don't have my dryer out for delivery. The gentleman who took my call got in contact with the warehouse and was told they received it at 7:30 AM, but I wouldn't be getting it today.

After telling them I could not take any more time off work and wasn't going to wait 3 more weeks for a dryer I should have had a month ago, they "graciously" rearranged their schedule to deliver it to me on 9/22. I know it's the manufactures' fault for the delay in shipment, but their customer service and communication sucks. The warehouse should have known well in advance that they didn't receive my dryer, and should have informed me ahead of time that I would not be receiving it.

IF YOU ARE THINKING OF USING INSTALLATION SERVICES FROM HOME DEPOT - DON'T DO IT!!! I recently purchased a new clothes dryer from Home Depot. Two installers delivered it but when they plugged it in, there was a loud pop sound. The installers said nothing, moved the dryer away from the wall, and then reset the 30AMP circuit breaker. They started the dryer and while it was running moved it back against the wall and there was another pop sound. They did this a third time but the pop sound was much louder. So one installer attempted to reset the circuit breaker with a hammer, at which point I told them to stop everything. I checked the circuit with a voltmeter and it was dead.

One installer speaking in Spanish only was pointing down to the gas shut-off valve and flexible exhaust vent in the room. I asked what the problem was and they said nothing. They wanted to leave the dryer with me as is, told me to call an electrician, and then wanted to go but I insisted that they take the dryer back. The next morning I had an electrician come in check out the outlet and electrical panel. He replaced the damaged circuit breaker and then pointed out there was hole burned into the flexible exhaust duct and also soot and melted aluminum deposited on the gas shut-off valve. Apparently electrical short circuits were occurring from the dryer power cable or the dryer itself, to the gas shut-off valve. The electrical shorts had melted a hole in the exhaust duct.

The installers were going to leave me with an exposed electrical short in the dryer and possibly a damaged gas line in my laundry room. This was a potential fire hazard or worse yet, there could have been a possible explosion if the gas valve had also been damaged and leaked. Never again will I use Home Depot services. This is the fourth installation job from Home Depot that was a disaster. The previous ones involved carpet installation, flooring installation, and a toilet installation.

There is no advantage to using a large corporate entity for door/window installation. The final work was nothing close to what was described at time of purchase: e.g. demolition was covered up with cheap aluminum - which I am finishing myself. No customization or changes allowed. Damage to area while being installed needed repair - i.e. more work than doing the job yourself. Some of the work - trim - need to be removed and put back on correctly or replaced altogether. Spent over 20 hrs - everything documented - on the phone with their management & customer service to push the stalled project back on track, over a period of 2 weeks and daily calls to get them to do something... anything. Holds on it for 1 order! Well, last night, I got an alert from my bank, stating that another hold to my debit card as well. So they are holding over 80+ dollars on my debit card and I only have 1 (the same item ordered there) for 43 dollars!!! Because of this I am without about $200 that is mine, and he has lost work over it. I have been strung along long enough, and everyone has a different answer.

The item was last tracked to Richmond, B.C. which is only a few hours from where it needs to be delivered. Why I must wait for days while it sits in a warehouse somewhere is beyond me. After half an hour later before the manager showed up, his name is Jeff, he is the manager in the West Lebanon, NH store. The manager tried to tell me I've rented 3 items in the receipt (which I've only rented a jack hammer/one item only).

I've asked the manager to explain why they've charged me 3 items vs one, the manager told me he didn't work in the rental department so he didn't know what went on. The manager told me he was too busy to help me. He had to go and see other customer somewhere else in the store and asked me to wait for Gary waited on the others customers in line (after me) first, then call the manager back in. The manager was very rude and did not event care about the customer, what he said that was what it supposed to, even they've totally wrong about it. He didn't care. This was a horrible experience at Home Depot. I hope someone higher up take this to confederation and speak to Jeff.

BUYER BEWARE - I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher from Home Depot on-line including installation and haul away of the old dishwasher. The delivery men arrived at 5 PM and the installer said he wouldn't install the machine because my house wasn't to code (not true). Two days later I had the dishwasher installed by an independent installer and he started the machine but it kept filling up with water and then drain but would not pump water to the spray arms to clean the dishes. I went to my local Home Depot to get a replacement and was told that I only have 48 hours after I purchase any appliance to return it and I'm over the 48 hour limit.

They said that I had to call Whirlpool and have it fixed under warranty. The Whirlpool repairman was here and he said the machine needs a new pump motor and control panel. He is going to order the parts and when they arrive he will be back to fix the machine. Now isn't this great. I have a refurbished dishwasher for the price of a new one. To my surprise they told me it was out of stock, the lady at the desk who btw had a very bad attitude told I could look for a different size. Well the aisle was closed and when I went around there was a blackout in the store. At that point I was like, this has to be a prank. Port Orange #6335 551 Dunlawton Blvd Port Orange, FL 32127. I have been a frequent customer of the Home Depot store in Port Orange FL. ever since it opened about 20 years ago, mainly because it is only a quarter mile from my house. However, in recent months, I have noticed a big decline in its customer service, so the Lowe's store has become my default store, even though it is a mile farther away. Here are some of the problems I have encountered:

Just today, I went to the Home Depot website to check on availability of J-B WaterWeld. The website reported 19 tubes available at the Port Orange store. I went to the store and found the J-B WaterWeld hook empty. I tried to find a floor clerk but none were in the vicinity. I went to the online pickup counter and showed a clerk a printout of the online information. He said he couldn't help me because the printout didn't have an SKU number. He told me to go back to the aisle and find a clerk to look on a high shelf for tubes that might not be unpacked. No phrase like "Sorry for the inconvenience." Went back to the aisle, still no one around, and a ladder further down the aisle seemed to locked in place, too heavy for me to drag. So I called a friend with a laptop and had him log onto the Lowe's website. He gave the aisle and bin number, and I was able to find it at Lowe's in just a few minutes.

A few weeks ago, I needed a small metal screw for a computer repair. A Home Depot clerk tried to find it and then told me it was too small for HD to stock -- she referred me to a specialty hardware store about 3 miles away. Instead of going there, I went down the street to Lowe's and a clerk there helped me find what I needed within 5 minutes.

About a month ago, I did an online order for small containers of paint, and the HD website told me the order was ready. Next morning, I took the online paperwork to the HD store. One online pickup counter said they didn't have it, and to go the other pickup counter at the other end of the store. I went to that counter, and waited while the clerk helped 3 or 4 customers in front of me. When it was my turn, they took the paperwork, checked the shelves and lockers near their counter, and could find nothing. Then they handed my paper to a passing clerk and told him to get it off the floor. I kid you not -- I waited at least 20 minutes before the clerk returned with the paint. So much for "online convenience."

I have had this same problem several other times in recent months -- the website claiming the order is ready, but it is not. Sometimes the clerks blame the computer and tell me I can get the items at HD stores in New Smyrna Beach or Daytona Beach, each 10 miles away. It is not worth further aggravation and the waste of my time and gasoline. I plan to give up my HD credit card, and get a card from Lowe's.

Yesterday I called Home Depot credit card service to pay $74.61 on my account. This is the first time I ever paid by phone; with them. A girl named Olivia picks up the phone (Although she's had the same voice as Gabriella; I'll explain later) and takes my basic information and then insist on adding me to an automatic bill payment program; where they take out the money on a monthly basis and she goes on to tell me that I can change it anytime I want. (Well how about now!) I didn't want that service, nor did I request it!

Then she goes on to tell me that she can also see my Best Buy account and if I would like to pay that, as well. I was creeped out by this. Even if they were both affiliated, I think that if I wanted to pay my Best Buy account bill, I would have told her that as soon as she picked up phone. It freaked me out that she knew that I had a Best Buy account and she went on to ask me if I wanted to pay $234.97 for both account. I think that if I wanted to pay that amount, I would have told her that at the beginning of the conversation! I was getting frustrated!

I told her I did not want to be put in any program and that I was freaked out about her knowing that I had a Best Buy account and that she was talking to me about that, when I only called about my H.D. account. She finally took the payment and did not give me a confirmation number; I had to ask her for it. She also failed to tell me that I would be receiving a confirmation via my email. I was so heated with this kind of service that when I called back and a girl named "Gabriella" picked up that sounded exactly like Olivia; the girl that I was dealing with from the beginning.

I asked to speak to a manager and I was not transferred to one; I was transferred to someone else with a weird title. I was very disappointed with customer service via phone and I will never use that service again. EXTREMELY creepy! As soon as I pay off my Home Depot card I will be closing that account. I don't like doing business with SHADY people nor do I appreciate that kind of service. It shouldn't take anyone an hour to pay a simple bill; I can do without the 20 questions! VERY DISAPPOINTED!

On June 26 2018, I purchased a range and microwave from Home Depot. I was told appliances would be delivered in a little over 4 weeks. I told the salesperson that this would be fine although it was imperative that delivery be on a Friday as it is my only day off from work. PROBLEM #1: The delivery date was set for Thursday, July 26. As soon as I realized that delivery was scheduled for a Thursday instead of a Friday as I requested, I changed the delivery date to July 27. I was told that the appliances would be delivered between 11 am and 3 pm.

PROBLEM #2: On Friday, July 27, shortly before 3 pm, I received a call from the delivery company, (GE Delivery) that they would arrive in 15-30 minutes. Fifteen minutes later the delivery person called back to ask if I had heard from Home Depot regarding the delivery. I said no and was told that the appliance never made it on the truck as it was lost in the warehouse.

PROBLEM #3: HOME DEPOT NEVER CONTACTED ME. In fact, no one other than the delivery man called me. My next call was to Home Depot Customer Service, who transferred me to the delivery company. They were less than helpful and explained it would take at least 4 days to find the lost appliance. It was implied that this is a common occurrence at the warehouse, which does explain their lack of concern. The Home Depot customer service person suggested that I contact the store where I bought the appliances, which I did. The appliance manager called me back to say the range was lost in the warehouse and Home Depot or GE Delivery would be contacting me. There was no offer to monitor this. He just provided information that I already knew. Again, I HEARD NOTHING from either Home Depot or the GE Delivery.

PROBLEM #4: On Monday, I called HOME DEPOT Customer Service again and spoke with a young lady who did not transfer me to the delivery company. She was understanding and showed a willingness to help me out. I was told that I would be receiving a $75 gift card for my inconvenience. I was also told that there would be compensation from the delivery company as well. Neither of these things ever materialized. The only compensation I asked for was that, when the delivery was made, that it be early as I had to rearrange other commitments.

PROBLEM #5: On Thursday, August 2, I received an automated message at 6:00 pm that the delivery would be on Friday, August 3 between 11 am and 3 pm, so my request for early delivery or a smaller window was ignored. I think it is important to note that this is the third time I have had problems with purchases at Home Depot so I had my reservations about buying the appliances there. I have recently replaced all of my other appliances from Lowes and had no problems whatsoever. However, Home Depot’s price was significantly lower. In light of the inconvenience (and aggravation), I can say with 100% assurance, I will not make this mistake again. In fact, it is highly unlikely I will shop there again. The other thing to note is that Home Depot had use of my money for 5 weeks, which, although a common occurrence, is unacceptable in my opinion.

Over the past 3 years, I've experienced several problems with Home Depot online orders. They send me incorrect delivery information, and I have to spend days trying to figure out what happened to my orders. This spring, my order was stolen before they'd even delivered it and they said I had to return an order I never received, because delivery people stole the items. Then they recharge me to reorder the product, and I have to wait to receive a credit for the stolen items. Then they hold my money from the original order (hundreds of dollars), and wouldn't credit me back for weeks. Then I had to call over and over, because someone failed to process my refund over the course of weeks.

In addition, I order a door and it's damaged, and I have to go to the store and look at it to decide if the damage is worth me keeping it. Of course, the door is seriously damaged, and I had to return it. So, I'm stuck having to find what I need somewhere else, because I can't afford to waste more time on Home Depot's mistakes. Another time, I ordered Martha Stewart's patio furniture, and it was nice. I reordered 4 more of the same, and turns out materials have been changed, but the product looks the same. Within one year, the furniture all falls apart and I have to trash all of it. This is very poor business. Never experience this anywhere else.

They agreed to pay it by reimbursing our bank account. This was arranged on August 2nd and was supposed to be immediate.

We called the next day and informed Home Depot that our bank was not in receipt of the funds. The 'Acting Manager' told us that the money had been sent the day before and the bank should have the funds now. The bank had not received the funds. We called back and were told again that they had transferred the funds and it was intimated that the bank was, therefore, to blame. We called the bank again and they gave us a number to call Visa. Visa said that such transactions were between the refunding company and your bank, but that sometimes companies held on to the payment for a longer time in the name of some company "procedure".

My wife (who was part of all these calls as a witness and participant) called Home Depot Corporate who told us that the 'process' would take seven to ten days!! I called the third time to talk to the manager (Kurt **). He sounded apologetic but confirmed that I would not be seeing my $1,000 for another week or two. DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM HOME DEPOT. They are, as I have found by this experience, totally unreliable, will tell you what it takes to get your order and be very pleasant, but you may never see the items they ordered and may go through hell to get a refund and, at this point, I do not even trust that I will get a refund at all. Don't worry we can afford to lose over $1,000 - NOT!

Telling this experience to my son-in-law he immediately responded that he had the same problem with Home Depot not filling their promises just a week or two before. He also had to cancel his order after going through serious inconvenience. He says he never had any such difficulty when he then went to another company, just with Home Depot. Searching the internet I found that there were thousands of complaints about Home Depot, some of them sounding very familiar after our nightmare of an experience.

I would never trust Home Depot again. Their return policy with regard to a debit card payment is outrageous and their word regarding deliveries is not reliable. They will, if they treat you as they treated us, not apologize for their tardiness, will not offer to cancel but you will have to ask for it. They kept me waiting for two items because one of them was 'on back order'. Even if they actually pay me back in the 7 to 10 (likely 'business') days they say it will take, my money will have been sitting in their bank account for a full month. Do not trust this company. never trust this company. You have been warned.

Reported to Home Depot on Saturday and they got a claim number for the warranty I purchased and they said the repair person would be here the next Friday (today) to fix. I did not hear from the repair person and called but could only leave a message and that was never returned. Called Home Depot when the repairman did not show and was told repair was refused; however Home Depot did not bother to inform me of that until I called. Now I have to wait until NEXT week to get another repair person here. I am just warning people not to purchase appliances or warranties from Home Depot because they do not stand behind the customer nor the product nor the warranty. Buy elsewhere!

Purchased carpets (with installation included) for 2 staircases in our home. Initially the experience seemed great. We met with a friendly specialist in store, received a quote, and made an appointment to have our stairs measured. We were told we'd be contacted by the company who would install the carpet in 4-6 weeks when the shipment came in. When we eventually received this call, we learned it would take another 3 weeks for the 3 (seemed excessive) installation appointments. One appointment to be measured AGAIN, and 2 to install the carpet.

First measuring appointment was eventually completed, then 2nd installation (where they just measure again, nothing is actually installed). FINALLY comes time for 3rd appointment to install carpets. I wait around for 4 hour installation window. (Keep in mind each of these appointments came with a 4 hour window which amounts to A LOT of time wasted on this.) They don't show. Call them, they tell us another hour, then two. They apologize and we set up another day. They don't show up this day either, eventually saying they don't have the right team on staff to do the job. We set up a 3rd appointment. They eventually show up at 6 pm at night, 2 hours after appointment window. They say the job is too big for them to ever finish that day. They can't even start.

At this point, we have probably waited around our house for them for a total of 24 hours. We just want our money back. Home Depot laid blame on the outsourced company. They apologized but made no effort entice us to go through with the installation. It took 3 trips into the store over the course of 2 weeks, to eventually get our full refund. Would not recommend!!!

I made sure to read the Home Depot return policy and call. Try to make sure I could return these items. After I dragged my children and I up to return. And they scanned items then told me I could not return that this transaction was flagged. I've shopped at Home Depot many times. I don't use credit cards. Prefer cash. I have never had to return anything to Home Depot in my life. But was denied to return. I was not asking for my cash back only in store credit. After calling the 1-800 number on the receipt the person I spoke to told me they just didn't take returns made with cash without a receipt anymore. I think that this an awful practice for a business this large. I can't seem to get this resolved and no one is give me any answers of what steps to take with this corporation, just I'm stuck because I use cash.

I bought 4 appliances for my 85 year old mother's redone kitchen. She lives in a condo and so when we arranged delivery they would not give us a reasonable window for delivery. We were given a 6 hour window. Try booking an elevator for that time frame, not possible. All we could get that day was 12-2 and we called them and told them, after 2 don’t bother coming. So they arrive at 5.30 and we’re turned away. Tried again to get a delivery scheduled, this time we were able to get the elevator all day. We again called them and said you are not able to deliver past 5 pm condo rules. Well it was for today and it’s 5.18 and no show. I am going to cancel the order tomorrow and go to Lowe's, who offer a 2 hour window which is manageable. This was the worst experience I have ever encountered.

Try calling them and you get to speak to “India” who have little or no care factor. Told them I was going to cancel the order and was told “ok”. 0 out of 10, will never use them again. Now bear in mind my mom has no kitchen, no appliances and it’s 2 weeks now with Home Depot. Now we also have an issue because kitchen company have been waiting to complete the install and are losing patience, they will be charging us for delaying and delaying... Not cool!!!

I needed a roof, new fence and front door. I had been financially strapped for a few years and finally could get my stuff done. I got an estimate for all 3 from HD and applied for credit with them. First they approved me for more than I was asking and I had to call the credit department and tell them to lower it because I didn't want that big a loan on my credit report. Then I called to see if I can start scheduling service. I was told after given estimates and getting a loan that they could not do my roof because it was considered one with the neighbor (townhouse). I called numerous times to see if there was something we could do and explain to me why first they tell me yes and now I have this loan and they are telling me no.

Many, Many calls and always "We will get back to you" and nothing. I finally had to go to another company to do my roof and a relative had to help me take out the loan because I already had the loan with HD. Now my fence is about to fall... I have been waiting over 3 weeks and now the contractor doesn't even return my calls to tell me when he is going to start or what the hold up is. You can't reach a manager because they pass the calls to all the other people because they probably know they are gonna catch hell from someone.

It has been the most frustrating and disappointing experience in my life. I have never seen such unprofessional and inconsiderate customer service... My roof took less than a week from 1st call to loan process to installation with the new roofing company. At one time I loved HD but now they have gone to hell in a handbasket. I don't know if it's at the store level or corporate but they need to do something. I have other things that need to be done in my home but I will do what I can with this loan now that I have it and moving forward I will be visiting Lowe's...

Customer Service 1-800 number was another joke. you can't reach anyone at the corporate level either. This was supposed to be an exciting time where we can finally start making much needed improvements to our home and has been nothing but stress and aggravation. Now this week it's supposed to rain most of the week, so I will be a month into not knowing when I can get my fence. At least the guy doing the door let me know in advance that they are backed up and he won't get to it until next month. Kudos to the door guy. I am done with HD!!!

Ridiculously long for a tank but I later learned it had to be built! I would've never ordered this online had I known! I wanted to track progress but the details provided were totally useless. I started calling HD store (Tukwila, WA) where I was to PU the unit around 7/20 (since it was shipped 7/13). They had no info either. As 7/24 approached, I called every day only to be informed that it would arrive maybe on 7/25. No tank on 7/25, so it was promised 7/26. No tank on 7/26, so it was promised 7/27. No tank on 7/27. This created havoc for scheduling a plumber! I called warehouse and they told me our order was stalled in Portland, OR and MAYBE we'd get it on 7/30.

On 7/28 we went into HD Tukwila store again and talked to Asst Mgr 'Kris'. She had tracked for us earlier and was surprised we still did not have our tank. She graciously swapped a more expensive model they had in stock and cancelled our online order. She also complimented us a few install accessories for our troubles. She went over and above to help a very upset (and greasy) customer and was apologetic for our frustrating online experience. I learned that going to the store is a better option than online. If I HAVE to order online, next time I will research about delivery before I buy. Kris the Asst Mgr has made a loyal customer out of us!

When it didn't arrive, I called UPS, which said that the package had never been sent. I called Home Depot, and they agreed that the package was still at the warehouse, and there was no way to contact the warehouse, because it's all automated.

Home Depot was out of that product, so they couldn't start over. SO. The product I ordered is in a carton with a UPS label on it, somewhere on a loading dock in Georgia where it will, apparently, sit until it rots. What really gets me is that Home Depot customer service claims that there's no way to contact the warehouse, and oh well, this happens sometimes. They seem to think that a refund solves everything. And if Home Depot goes out of business, they'll blame everyone and everything except their own failure to perform.

The original resolution? Send me a check which would take 14 days! I would then have to go to the bank, deposit, and then pay PayPal. This is their idea of good customer service? I insisted that the payment go back to the original account, and this entire transaction took just over 60 minutes. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! DO NOT BUY FROM Home Depot!!! We ordered 2 refrigerators from Home Depot through their 800 number, because the website was having problems. I verified on the phone that it will be delivered Saturday the 14th. On the 13, I found out I needed to host a business dinner, so instead of just relying on the automated system, on the 13th, at around 1 pm, I called to verify that it would be there Saturday, which Home Depot confirmed and gave me the number to text in case I have further questions.

At around 2 pm, I decided to check again, just to have it in writing. At 2:59 pm, George, the Home Depot representative assured me that they had double checked and it would be delivered as promised "Yes Sophia! I just checked and I see that it's scheduled for delivery tomorrow between 9:30-1:30!???”. I asked the agent to triple check, because I needed to make sure and the answer was "It has been confirmed!??? You’re welcome! Thank you for texting The Home Depot! If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to text us anytime. Please take a moment to complete our one question survey. Have a marvelous evening! :)” Just to be absolutely sure, because it was so important, figured that if I text around 9 pm, I will be assured that the information is accurate. I was promised, in writing, that the 9:30-1:30 was confirmed.

On Saturday, at around 11 am, I text to see where they were to see how long it would be. I had already had movers move my furniture and had everything out of the old refrigerator which was not working. I was anxious, because I needed to buy more stuff and start preparing for the evening dinner. Again, I was assured they would be there by 1:30 by Michelle, another Home Depot representative. When I asked for them to please call the driver to see how close they were, one hour later, they finally told me that it would not be delivered. Their mistake oops. I obviously panicked and explained my situation asking for a manager or someone to get involved to help me get my refrigerators.

A representative, Kathy from customer resolutions, called me to assure me that Home Depot would get this resolved and the appliance manager, Robert, would call me from the Sunset store. I also have that entire conversation, where Robert basically said they could not help me unless I wanted them to bring a loaner fridge and move my furniture and food two more times so I could pay furniture movers again.

When the store manager, Esmirelda called me back 3 hours later after I text again, she said they were willing to loan me a 10 cu ft refrigerator (instead of the 2 20 something cu ft refrigerators that I ordered). They both said they would do NOTHING ELSE and the refrigerators I actually ordered would not be delivered till the 19th!!! Even though it was their mistake over and over and over again, they would do absolutely nothing!!! NOTHING TO FIX THE ISSUE!!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! DO NOT BUY FROM Home Depot!!!

My first experience with this Reno was a call saying my carpet was in. I went to the store and they couldn’t find it. I should have run for the hills then. They found it a couple of days later and kindly delivered it to my driveway. At about the same time I was talking to one of the kitchen designers to have a new kitchen installed. Glen worked to get me the best bang for my buck. When the time came to pay for it the computer decided to do something wacky. It took three hours to pay for it. Joy. To compensate me the assistant manager gave me free delivery, to my driveway, and 20% off my countertop.

It took 3 weeks to get it installed. The first time the installer found a broken piece the store rushed over a new piece. The second time it happened I had to pick it up myself and was compensated with a gift card. I had been told that it would take 2 days for the installation so I took those days off. The installer called to put it off for a few days leaving me scrambling to get additional time off. In the end the kitchen was nice but the wrong hinges were sent. Back to the store I go and they don’t have any. He never did come back to put up that door.

Fast forward a week and I try to put my fridge in and it won’t fit. The store more than happy to order a new cabinet, it will only take a month. In the meantime Glen my kitchen designer has had heart attack. The arrival of the cabinet was recent and I got a call saying I could come pick it up. I having been calling and going into the store with no results. I see no reason that I should have to pick it up. They could at least drop it off in my driveway AND HAVE THE COMMON COURTESY OF LETTING ME KNOW WHEN IT IS TO BE INSTALLED AND THE OTHER CABINET FINISHED.

I had purchased a garden hose at the West Jordan, UT location for $20 and it broke within the first week. When I returned it to the store they made the return very difficult and ultimately only offered me $5 for the return, even though the hose was still "on sale" up front for $20. A couple months prior to this I needed to buy around 50 gallons of paint and was treated unprofessionally by their paint department. I went to the Draper, UT Home Depot store and was treated with an amazing level of professionalism. The Draper, UT store is a bit farther drive for me but going forward all my home improvement needs will be going to that store. Some store managers really get the need to "treat each customer great" as is the case in Draper. However, the West Jordan store manager obviously is not working hard with his people to make sure each customer is treated great.

I called Home Depot and reported the missing recycling bin. I was told that they cannot do anything with the Ship To Home Order when OnTrac Delivery showed the item was delivered. I was advised to call my bank and dispute the charges. I told them that why would I call my bank when they had nothing to do with the order missing. I looked on their website to see where it states that if the item is missing that they are not responsible, but did not see this on their policy and procedure. Do not place an order online at Home Depot, since they do not take care of their customer in the store and especially online.

Well, it is summertime in Arizona, Hot... See there is this 87 year old lady who lives in this little 1 bedroom home. It has a 18000 btu window AC unit. But it is broken, so a bunch of my friends, and me scraped together the money to buy her a new AC unit. So, we went online to check. The Home Depot site said they had 2 in stock. So I ordered the unit to be picked up, and paid for it with the money we had all gathered up. Got a confirmation E-mail at 8:54 am Thursday July 12 2017. It said your order has been accepted.

So I went and checked my checking account since I was using my Visa Debit Card. The $542.41 had been removed from my Account. I thought Great. We can pick this AC Unit up this afternoon and get it installed. And maybe this little old lady, a Grandmother, Great Grandmother will finally be able to live in comfort Due to a little help from some people, who had chipped in everything they could. So I am waiting for a text message to go and pick up the Unit. About, 11:19am I get a Text saying the Order had been Canceled.

I go and check my E-mail, it says, “So sorry we do not have any in stock, We have issued a full refund to your card. It will be credited in 3 to 5 business days.” Since it is Thursday it will probably be next Wednesday before the money is back in the account. After the weekend, it is suppose to get up to 107 degrees. I hope this little old lady does not die of heat stroke before the money gets back in the account. So, I call and ask the Manager what is going on. He says that he is sorry, and that this happens. He will look into it.

About an hour later I get a call, it seems that they had found one. That he would hold it for me. To come to the service desk and pick it up, and pay for it. Wait a minute, pay for it with what? The Money will not be back in the bank until the middle of next week. I just do not have $542.41. So, I have a few questions. Is Home Depot selling and charging for stuff that they do not have in stock? I believe this is illegal... Does Home Depot not know what checkout means???

I always thought it was get the order together, then charge the money. And since it seems like there must have been one of these AC Units at the store the whole time. Why would they not sell it to me? So I am asking people to please pass this around. I am calling for a BoyCott of Home Depot Starting July 13 2018, and lasting until the little old lady's, has her AC fix. I just hope in God’s name this little old lady makes it, and does not die. Hey, me and my friends have did what we can. But Home Depot sure dropped the ball on this one.

So I go to return them to the store and customer service rep Sam says they can't be returned because the barcode is missing... I clearly showed her the receipt with them on it. She said she can't return them. I asked to speak to the manager on duty and Brittany shows up to the counter.

She tells me that they are now refusing to return them as it's over 90 days. Story has now changed. I bought these April 28, 2018 and the receipt clearly shows that the 90 days is up on July 27, 2018. So now I am out $130.00 for cushions that are just as comfortable as sitting on the metal bar... I will never shop this location and possibly Home Depot ever again. I get the feeling they just don't want to hurt their monthly quota... P.S. I bought the more expensive Anderson windows. 6 weeks later the online tool at Home Depot didn’t even show my windows in production which prompted me to call the customer service. It just so happened that every time I called the persons in charge were not available and they never called back. I finally received a call from Kendrick of Home Depot saying my order had fallen thru cracks and they would now get it going and they should be installed in about 4 weeks. 7 weeks later and a dozen calls to customer service the windows arrived, although built incorrectly. The installation manager, Eddie, tried to bully me several times to keep the incorrect windows, but to no avail.

I won’t waste everyone’s time with the nonsense Eddie fed me but it was almost comical. Then they assure me that they will expedite the incorrect windows in about 2 weeks. Needless to say that did not happen. I must have spent 16 hours on the phone with customer service, but no luck. I finally receive a call that my windows ordered on Feb 26th would be installed on June 29th. On that day I received a call saying they are now delayed for installation until today, July 5th. I take the day off and waited for them. I called in the morning to confirm their arrival and was assured that I’m on the schedule and they usually don’t start till 11 am.

At 2:30 I call back to be told now that they are now delayed without an installation date! Kendrick, again promised me he would call me back right away, but that never happened. I have called every number available for Home Depot, and it appears no one is available or has any information as it relates to my windows. Save yourself the headache and do not go thru what I have gone thru, with no end in sight. By far the worst experience of my life after remodeling for 30 years. This is what they did to my door and left it hanging that way for over a month. Just look at the pictures. I paid almost $1800, for this? Not to mention the 3 days I had to take off work so far. I originally ordered a door from home depot on 4/26/2018. Yes April 26th! The door is still not here! Then door came and when half way through demolishing the old frame they realized that the new door was the wrong size. Look at the pictures. Yes those are cuts on both sides of the frame and into the stucco. They were cutting my old frame with a jigsaw when they realized this! Their answer was to just throw a bunch of screws in the frame and call it good and left.

After this I received no response or updates UNTIL I CALLED THEM COMPLAINING! There are clear holes to the outside from THE FRAME of the door and the door itself is only held on by a couple screws. Numerous calls and all I get is "well we can have someone come by and put MORE screw in the frame" and the "expedited" order is taking over a month. It’s taken longer than the original door did?!?! That is not expedited. This would be OK if it were a door inside my house. But this is my front door. Literally the only thing keeping my family safe from intruders when I'm not home! I have a wife, a kid and dogs! If someone wanted to get through my door in the condition it is in I'm sure they would have no problem and I’m supposed to be ok with this?

I'm really upset how all of this was handled. No updates and seemingly no care or concern for how my house is doing. I will never come to Home Depot for work again. I am 100% certain that this would be completely unacceptable in their homes but its fine for mine to be like this I guess. I advise everyone to stay away. Get someone who actually cares to do the work for you.

In April 2017 we contracted with Home Depot (Henrietta NY store) to have a bathroom tile floor, a kitchen plank floor, and carpeting installed in our home. We were very excited as this would be have been our first extremely large purchase and renovation for us. Our issue was with the bathroom tile floor, that Home Depot contracted with American Carpet South to install. Bottom line, the tile job was done EXTREMELY rudimentary, including that they took NO precautions to contain the related construction dust and grime (from the tile floor rip-out) from spreading to all areas of our home (they didn't close vents, put up tarps, and they even TOOK out our bathroom door without covering the doorway opening).

So, not only did we have to deal with a poorly laid tile floor, poorly planned placement of the tiles, hiding gaps in tiles by hammering molding against the gaps, and our toilet and bathroom closet door not being uneven, we also had to deal with layers of dirt and grime throughout our home and in our furnace. Both Home Depot Local and American Carpet South did not want to resolve our complaints in entirety - we asked for a new tile floor to be installed, and reimbursement for cleaning out of home and furnace. Home Depot and American Carpet South even tried to place the blame with us and accusing us of lying about the extent of poor quality of work as well as the dirt and grime in our home.

After much pressing on our part, Home Depot did send American Carpet South back to our home with a new crew to replace the bathroom tile floor. The second crew took every precaution this time to contain the construction dust and grime. BUT even though they promised to resolve the dirt and grime in our home and furnace from the first tile laying, they changed their minds, with Home Depot Local going as far as to say "we've don't clean houses". Despite appeals to the both local companies, and both corporate companies - neither would help - they had many excuses why they would not resolve our complaint to our 100% satisfaction.

We escalated a formal complaint (with pictures) to both the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney General's Office. But, we only heard back from Home Depot Corporate when the Attorney General's Office told us to escalate our complaint to Consumer Frauds. So we did. Then, Home Depot Corporate couldn't work fast enough to resolve our issue by extending to us a check to cover the cost of furnace and duct cleaning (by this time, one year had passed and we couldn't let the dirt and grime just sit there, so we footed to bill for that cleaning ourselves). Both companies state they put the customer and their needs first, but both drop the ball when a serious problem arises. We feel that unless we hadn't vigorously and relentlessly pursued what was rightfully and legally ours to have resolved, both Home Depot and American Carpet South simply would have been happy to continue to remain silent and let things go.

Home Depot and American Carpet South are doing this to hundreds of customers - just like us - people who, in good faith, contract for services, but then have an issue, and have to literally beg for honest and fair customer support/resolution. In fact, up until we sent out the complaint to Consumer Frauds, we were still ignored and put off. Maybe both companies feel they can get away with behavior like that since they are so large, and the customer, in general is so small. And for the fact that many customers don't know enough to pursue a complaint through the channels that we did. There should be more checks and balances and accountability on the part of Home Dept and American Carpet South, as well as consequences for both companies if they continue to fail to do the very right thing. Perhaps even going so far as to stop the relationship between Home Depot and America Carpet South.

Yes, we did finally get reimbursement, but at such a cost. It's inexcusable that the process of resolution should be so difficult for the customer. Shame on both Home Depot and American Carpet South. We will NEVER use Home Depot again for such a project, and that's a shame since we grew up with them as a household name. We ended up going with another vendor for our carpeting. And, since the Home Depot invoice was rolled into one amount up front, our Home Depot Credit Card was charged for everything at the same time.

Be careful when requesting a refund (which we did for the carpeting that was pre-posted to our related charge card) - we had to go through the refund amount line-by-line from the related Home Depot Invoice, and found that they were going to under-refund us. That also was resolved once we brought that up to Home Depot Local and Corporate. This was supposed to be a happy and exciting event, and instead it was a nightmare. Shame on both Home Depot and American Carpet South. Thank you.

Audra ** I believe is what her name was. She then began to say these trucks they rent are for customers buying items at the store, which is weird because I have spent just over 6500.00 this current monthly bill statement, no not that particular time and day but the month of mid May to mid June 2018. She berated myself and my sister in law, would not go check the truck for damage or gas, she asked for the receipt for gas. Wouldn't make a copy for me.

I needed the receipt because this was a work rental. She brushed us aside. Took the keys basically out of my hands and then told us that a (PAYING) customer was waiting for the truck and she didn't have time to go look it over. She slid my receipt over the counter and told us she needed to "deal" with another customer. So she brushed us off. When we left the store after returning the truck it was about 15 minutes after dropping the truck off and being brushed off, the truck still had not been rented. I want you to know that there is no time limit on the trucks. I'm paying 19.99 for the first 75 minutes and 5.00 for every 15 minutes after.

I don't know why it makes sense to be rude sigh and just plain be bad at her job to a customer who spent a little over 10,000 between the 3 local stores in the last 6 months. Why? Thank you Audra ** located at the North Hampton, NH store. You have lost a customer and possibly lost my company as a pro member and customer. If Home Depot cared about their customers they should fire you tomorrow. Lowe's would gladly accept us as customers. Home Depot needs to train their associates better. Was charged 79 for delivery and asked to please have it come in the morning and they said if I wanted it at a certain time it was 60 more and left me till the last delivery of the day when I live 2 miles from the store. I made an online purchased around MAY 20, 2018. I paid for extra delivery for "room of choice". The online tracking showed it would be delivered the next week. Then during that week, it changed to the week after that (2 weeks from purchase date), we were fine with that and understood. HOWEVER... now we are over a month later, still no delivery. It was finally scheduled for today, but they said there was no notice of moving the item upstairs so it can't be delivered. As a consumer, we did not change the order. We paid for the delivery at time of purchase. The delivery company stated it does have my item on the truck, but they are taking it back to the terminal because there is not a second person. NONE OF THIS MAKES ANY SENSE TO ME!!!

A while back my husband and I ordered a kitchen suite to replace the 20 yr old appliances in our kitchen. When we got the first delivery it was only the fridge, and stove. The dishwasher was damaged and the microwave was on backorder. The fridge could not be installed because of a plumbing issue. They had to hook the hoses up too. We asked if they could hold off on sending the dishwasher until the microwave was coming so both could come together and at that time could they hook up the fridge. They said, "We could do that."

So we got the plumber to come fix the pipes for the new fridge and then we had to wait for new cabinets to be put in. The cabinets were a little late about a week later than we thought and Home Depot informed us they could not hold on to the dishwasher any longer and that they had to send it or we could not get it at all. My husband agreed to that which I would not have, but they bought the dishwasher today and no microwave.

So now we are still waiting on microwave delivery and they will not hook up fridge or dishwasher for us now and they did pay us back the hook up fee but they gave us a run around about the delivery and the hook up. I have spent over $10,000 in past 3 years at Home Depot and have come to them for most of our remodeling work. I am very disappointed in the fact that they could not wait and send the dishwasher with the microwave and hook them all up at that time. We tried to save them trips out here as well as work around those putting our cabinets in. I will not be going back to them for anything now. I am just too upset.

It was 30 days before I was able to use the generator and it didn't power my A/C on the camper. I had to wait until I got home 2 days later, since I didn't have cell service where I was camping. When I called, I was told I was past my 30 days for return. When I explained I was in the woods camping and had no cell service Home Depot just stated their policy. The manufacturer said Home Depot misrepresented the product and contacted Home Depot, who got rude with them. My only recourse was to get a store credit. They don't stock the type of generator I need, so I'm stuck with a $600 store credit. After I spend this store credit, I will never step foot into a Home Depot.

Went to Home Depot to look for non skid sheets or paint. Asked a gentleman where we would find the non slip sheets for stairs or decks. He sent us all the way across the store to lumber. Couldn't find it anywhere. Asked a young lady Desi where they were and she began to send us all the way back across the store. I asked her if she could look it up and tell us where it was since we just came from there. She was irritated to have to look it up then stated it was in aisle 16 where she thought. Not a friendly person. Went to aisle 16 which happens to be toilet seats and plumbing stuff. Not there for sure.

Asked another young lady. Wish I would have gotten her name. Very nice young lady who looked it up on aisle 20 and took us right to it. Made sure it was there. Price was quite expensive compared to Amazon so we decided to look for the non slip spray paint. Again couldn't find it so asked Danny about it who right away said they don't carry it. Wasn't interested in looking. Finally went over to look and then looked up in system and said, "We carry it but only online like I said". Another not so friendly person. Sad that employees hired to do a job can't even help and be friendly. No wonder everyone is beginning to order things online. What a joke the Greeley. CO store is.

I can’t say anything about my appliance. But the whole process of delivery left some big questions, Home Depot Free Delivery of appliances, no place does it state restrictions and I paid 79.00 plus taxes and additional 15.00 to have the old appliance hauled away. My ordered and delivered appliance wasn’t free delivery, and had the young man delivering not had my husband to help him I wouldn’t have my appliance now. The delivery person told us that Home Depot was famous for lying to customers about delivery, my son whom once worked for Home Depot warned us about Home Depot lying to customers and then acting like they made no mistake, but would try to help us fix the problem which was their problem to begin with.

The delivery person said he wasn’t suppose to haul away the old appliance, but he would because that was the right thing to do and he could tell us many stories of Home Depot charging 15.00 dollars for haul away service and you have really no way of getting that money back. Home Depot does not directly offer an email address to address problems nor an mailing address to send a letter to about your complaints. I was also told by our delivery person that he had delivered many appliances for the so called “Free Delivery”, which happen to be almost impossible to deliver to. So why was I charged 79.00 plus taxes that others didn’t pay! Our delivery wasn’t that difficult. #rabuncounty #homedepotrabuncountydelivery #homedepotlies. #homedepotclaytongalies

Called back again and now they don't even know when appliance will be delivered. I lost half month of rent because of this issue and clearly they don't have the product that are selling. After waiting over two months for our countertop to be installed, they finally came to install the counter on a Wednesday. Everything was going fine until the guys installing it said they ran into a problem with the corner seam. They were not able to connect the two pieces properly because we had a lazy susan in the corner. (Isn't that really common to have in a corner??) They said we would have to remove the dishwasher before they could continue the job. They informed me that the installation office would promptly contact me to inform me when the job would be finished. I never heard from them, so the next day (Thursday) I made the call to them. I had to leave a voicemail. Nobody returned my call.

Later the same day, after being ignored, I called my local Home Depot store. I thought maybe they would want a happy customer and get things worked out quickly, after all I had a party at my house planned for that Sunday. Sure enough after talking to somebody in the kitchen department, they were able to make contact with the installation company right away, but the problem was that they didn't want to send anybody out until the following Wednesday. I told him that would not work because I have people coming to my house Sunday... I can't wait that long. He told me he would call them again and get right back to me. It is now Friday, and nobody has contacted me. They are just going to ignore me, apparently Home Depot does not care about customer satisfaction or professionalism.

Meanwhile my kitchen has NO water and only partial countertops. They expect me to function with no water in the kitchen for a week? This was not our fault or our problem. Why don't they have professionals that can handle the job they are sent to? It's infuriating. Also, the installers damaged my stove, and my window sill. There was also one small piece that was supposed to measure exactly 24 inches wide. The piece that they have there measures 25 inches wide, so it hangs off an extra inch further than my old countertop did. It looks bad. How do they mess up such an easy measurement like that?

I'd give ZERO STARS if I could. I will NEVER purchase an appliance from Home Depot again. HORRIBLE customer service and delivery process! I purchased a dishwasher in May and 5 weeks and 3 dishwashers later, they finally delivered one that was not damaged. However, in the process of delivering the new dishwasher, the very rude delivery person put a nice size chip in my door frame and scuffed my wood floors. They also left behind my old dishwasher even though I paid to have it hauled off. When I called the delivery service to tell them I paid for the old one to be hauled off and to come back and get it, they said the earliest they could come back was in a week! So, I finally have a new dishwasher, BUT I also have the old one taking up space in my garage for at least the next week, a chipped door frame, and scratches in my wood floor.

The delivery team would benefit from customer service training and more careful handling of appliances and respect for peoples' homes. This whole thing has been a complete NIGHTMARE! In total, I've spent OVER 4 HOURS of my time on the phone with customer service agents after 2 failed deliveries due to damage and then when I notified them of the terrible delivery service I experienced once I finally received a non-damaged dishwasher. I just hope they come back next week and actually pick up my old dishwasher!

When a different technician was sent out, it was revealed that the first technician had not connected the gas or had connected it so inadequately that it had not remained connected, thus resulting in gas going into my home for a 24 hour period. The outcome could have been far worse. I reported this to Home Depot, but they turned it back over to ARS. I signed the contract with Home Depot. My point here is that you don't have control over who your contractor is when you hire Home Depot. It seems to me that Home Depot then absolves themselves of responsibility.

Pickets offered for sale. None included in my pallet of fence pickets. Also, once e-mails of certain delivery info or review info is received it is deleted from your private mailbox once you close the e-mail. If you want to keep a record, print it when opened; it will be gone later. They seem to have an open e-mail that replenishes every time you open. The pickets I received are good, and I had them installed but they are NOT as advertised. I went to the trouble of ordering online for what I thought was a superior item; I could have duplicated quality at local store.

Home Depot immediately gave me a 15% refund, no questions asked. (In my opinion this did not cover the inequality of items.) But, they have not addressed the problem of improper ads online. I have addressed my displeasure via the online customer service; received a "checking into it"... "This is what supplier states..." The supplier even states what product was sent and it is not in agreement with what was advertised. Home Depot (I recently read) is wanting to compete with Amazon for online sales. Maybe someday they will, but they have a lot of improvements to make. I gave a one star review (twice). One went out never to be heard of again; one was rejected. (This reject review was the last e-mail that was deleted from my private mailbox.)

Finally today 1 girl has told me she is refunding my money (which will take 2-3 business days) however, the glitch has still not been fixed! I find this utterly amazing, and slightly unbelievable. I have just endured three months of pure hell with Home Depot. No one should have to endure what I have gone through. In February my contractor contracted with Home Depot in Clarksville TN for the installation of carpet and linoleum flooring in my home. The carpet installation was perfect. Unfortunately the linoleum flooring was horrible in the kitchen. Once the two pieces of linoleum were seamed together in the kitchen, it was apparent that there were major color variations that were very noticeable. The installer even said that it was a horrible install and did not make us sign for the installation. We contacted Home Depot who stated that they would send someone out the next day to inspect our issue. One day of waiting for the inspection turned to two and then three, so I went to the local Home Depot who, after several discussions, agreed that there was a flaw and finally agreed to reorder the same pattern.

Weeks later, the installer arrived and reinstalled the kitchen linoleum and again stated that the pattern did not match up. I had to go to Home Depot again and talk to the store manager, Ms Brenda, the regional manager, Kelly **, and finally to the national installation manager, Penny **, who would not agree to my request to replace the linoleum throughout the house with a different pattern. This request was based my desire to have one pattern in the house, what I paid for, and the fact that the Clarksville Assistant Manager told me over the phone earlier that day that he would do so. Once in the store, he, and all of the managers over him said NO, that the house could have different patterns. After much discussion, the assistant manager blurted out "what is the problem, I told you that we would replace all". The store manager told Mr Brian to shut up, but I pointed out that that is what I wanted, so she finally agreed.

Mr Brian and I looked through all of the available linoleum patterns and agreed on a new pattern. A new date was established for several weeks later, and upon the arrival of the installer, he pointed out that the new pattern was of such poor quality that I would have to sign for the installation before he even started. I immediately pulled out a store sample pattern and the installer pointed out that the store sample was thick and resistant to wear and tear while the roll that arrived was paper thin. He stated that he had not seen that type of linoleum in over seven years. The installer and I returned to Home Depot again to point out the quality of the roll that was delivered. Mr Brian stated that the company must have pulled out and shipped a very old and outdated roll. We retrieved another roll in the store and two days later the project was finished; three months of pain and eight days of my vacation time wasted.

I spoke to Home Depot customer service who said they would consider reimbursing me for my efforts and pain, and lost a vacation time as a result of their errors, and to this date I have heard nothing from them. In my discussions with Mrs ** on multiple occasions I was essentially told to "suck it up buttercup". I have never experience such POOR customer service in all of my life. During master's program, the courses highlighted how one good outcome could result in 30+ good future opportunities while one bad experience could be echoed 300 times and hurt future business. It will be interesting to hear from Home Depot, before I start spreading my bad experience to thousands. That's just how frustrated I am with this experience.

Today, Wednesday, as I sat here waiting for delivery, GE appliance delivery called once again to confirm home delivery for tomorrow morning from 9:30-1:30. Tomorrow morning I am also scheduled to have my first radiation treatment for throat cancer... how convenient! What a pleasant experience to take into treatment with me. Home Depot doesn't care. They don't even read their reviews! I will never again fall for their fraudulent advertising!

The delivery companies they contract out to are unprofessional and incompetent to say the least. GE Appliance Delivery is no better. No-one guarantees customer satisfaction anymore especially Home Depot! They don't even provide decent customer service!! Funny, I've never had this problem with Lowe's which is where I will be making all my major appliance purchases from now on.

They say they honor all veterans with a 10% discount, well you have to dig deep into the policy to find out it is in stores only not at HomeDepot.com. The store only stock the bare minimum. The store manager got upset with me when I ask him if the "online" store was located in China because I can't figure out why I'm thanked for my service in the store but forgotten at the dot com. “Extraordinary service is essential to Home Depot”... Because - and I hate to break it to ya, but - if it’s essential to your success, you’re in BIG trouble! 5/4/18 we ordered 8 tubes adhesive. For the few weeks we’ve made repeated contacts to HD in an effort to ascertain where the shipment is since it was to be delivered May 16 (per HD site). The CSRs were consistently unable to give us any info and just kept saying we should call back. I continued to call back. On June 2 HD send a notice that the product had been shipped. Tracking indicated it would arrive no later than 8 pm Monday. No delivery. I checked HD site and it indicated the item was shipped and still says it will be delivered MAY 16. Really? Aw, come ON... Today’s date is June 5. Really. Check your calendar. I’m not kidding.

So today, on 6/5, I check and now tracking indicates a label has been created but UPS doesn’t yet have merchandise. I contacted HD thru their text system as well as via phone. The text CSR said she attempted to contact the company but couldn’t reach anyone so I should recontact HD’s CS later to try again. I indicated that wasn’t acceptable and could she continue to try contacting them and then let me know when she received the info. She terminated the connection. I guess that’s one way to resolve the customer’s problem. Click. Customer gone. Nooo problem. Why do I have to keep calling back to trigger the rep to contact the company? The reps have received numerous calls from me and can never resolve the issue. This is a vicious circle and incredibly inefficient and time consuming for all! If the rep followed up she wouldn’t be making any extra calls to the vendor, and would only have one return contact to me.

I digress. Next I PHONED CS. I spoke with ‘Mark’ who tells me it sounds like the shipment is lost or stolen. Huh? I explain the facts again. He transfers me to Margaret (or Morgan, he called her by both names). I re explain everything again. She gives me the same ‘vendors not answering’ and I should call back later. I said not acceptable, couldn’t she get the answer and return my call. No. Is there a way to expedite. She says ‘Well, I could refer it to resolution team’. Gee, there’s a thought - shouldn’t that have been done sometime between, say, May 16 and now? I ask how long that will take. 4 days. (Hmm. Not my idea of ‘expedite’, Ted.) I ask for other options. She says cancel and reorder. I say but this whole dilemma might get repeated.

By now rep is getting snotty so I ask to speak to super. Her response is ‘she can’t do anything and she’s just going to tell you the same thing’. I again ask to ‘please speak with your supervisor’. I’m already 35 minutes into the call. Ten minutes later ‘Jacinca’ answers the phone. I ask her to spell her name and then, once again, repeat the facts. She says she’ll call me back today with an answer.

She calls about 2 hrs later and says she can’t get a response but she can cancel the order and offers me a $50 store cr. to get a different adhesive. Told her I’d call her back after ‘checking with the guys’. Called her back at 800-910-6704 ext ** (I had repeated the number to her to confirm) and lo and behold - that ext is the employment app line. Called CS line AGAIN. Spoke with Suzanne who canceled the order for me, but upon checking with Sean, her super, discovers they do not have ability to issue store cr and they don’t know why that was even offered. She said to contact the store. I said, "Why would the store take my word that I was to receive a credit?" Also the store has nothing to do with HD.com!

Final kick? There is no Jacinca. My guess is Margaret/Morgan just put another CSR on the line to get rid of me. HD undoubtedly has the most time consuming, ineffective and inefficient Customer Service process I have ever encountered! Menards and Lowe’s will get my company’s business from here on out. So, Ted... about that ‘extraordinary’...

But the crew showed up with the dishwasher, but refused to install saying it was not within their scope of service. Called Home Depot, but was told that I should have read the fine print when I ordered online. I went back to the product and order pages, but failed to find the "fine print" that specifies the installation exclusions. So not only it breached the contract, but lied to me to get away. It involved 2 sets of closet doors and an unfortunate set of circumstances that resulted in their late shipment and ultimately receiving one damaged set of doors. Home Depot’s Corporate customer service was absolutely incredible in making the extra effort to see that this problem was rectified and maintained complete communications on the status of reshipment and their contact with the supplier and the shipping company. The process took an extra week, but I thought that might be helpful. It wasn't. Not only was the order wrong, they didn't even deliver all the parts. Several of the parts were incorrect (keyed doors ordered; keyless received), but most frustrating is the fact they tried to blame the too-small doors & window on my installer because he approved the dimensions. What they showed as a door size in a diagram is actually the jamb size. This was the worse door/window replacement experience of my life. Never again!

The plastic panels couldn't be shipped, so I had to pick up in-store, but it didn't seem to affect the free shipping, as I was completing the checkout, it still showed the shipping amount deducted from the invoice, so I completed the order. Once I got the online receipt, the free shipping had magically disappeared.

I tried calling the number given on the webpage only to spend 15 minutes trying to figure out how to talk to a human, which proved to be impossible. When I went into the store, I had the service desk person call for me, and she was told that because the panels were not shipped, I didn't qualify for free shipping. I showed her my printout of the order page showing the free shipping and final amount, but that made no difference. I'm done with retail stores and their crap. It's Amazon for me from now on.

So I walked into Home Depot and saw a man standing just inside the entrance next to an A/C unit, we began talking and because H.D. was offering a free at home A/C inspection and could have someone at my house today. The repair guy showed up and later the New A/C unit sales man showed up.

After it was all said and done we where very happy with what was offered, and was told that H.D. now offers a Veteran's Discount. We had a New Refrigerator on order at Lowe's... So we started thing that maybe we would cancel the Lowe's order since we paid them but it was going to take a month before receiving the unit. I grabbed copies of my DD-214 and Honorable Discharge and we went to H.D. Customer Service Counter, but upon asking about the Veteran's Discount we where told that they needed my Veteran's Administration photo I.D. card. I told her that I don't want a V.A. Card or any of their services and was told that she could offer me a discount for today only because it's Memorial Day, but they won't honor my Military documentation after today unless I get a V.A. Card!

We sense they wont honor me year round like Lowe's does. I won't buy our A/C unit and Refrigerator or anything else from H.D., What they don't know is that I work for a local Small Engine Repair shop and have customers ask me all the time where I recommend buying New Lawn equipment at? Guess where I send them? To the store that Honors Veteran's that choose not to have a V.A. card... (LOWE'S!!!)

James ** is not cooperating and is not answering our emails or our phone calls.

He is very difficult and has little experience with customer service. Argumentative and rude. Very rude person. No other blind specialist is like this. Every other company backs their product 100% and if customer is not happy, they will remove and refund. James ** and Home Depot team are not well experienced and are not customer service oriented. I would not recommend any one consider using Home Depot for window coverings or service. Stay away and be very careful. Six weeks ago, my dishwasher died. I did some research and found the one I wanted to replace it with at Home Depot. I ordered over the Major Appliance Hotline via phone. Delivery was free and I paid an extra $99 to have it installed. The soonest they could set up delivery was 5 weeks later, 5/25/18. Today I got the call from a subcontractor delivery company setting up the delivery for tomorrow, and the rep wanted to make sure I was aware of the "two-stage process." "No, what's that all about?" "Well, we only deliver it and then another company comes to install it." "Okay, same day, right?" "We don't know, you'll have to call HD to find out." "Okay, what's the name and phone number of the company and who installs it?" "At Your Service is the name but we don't give contact information until the D/W is delivered." WHAAAAT?

So if I wanted to call them to try to coordinate the install for the same day as the delivery, so I don't have to take another day off work, I'm outta luck? I waited 20 minutes on hold waiting to speak with a supervisor before I finally just hung up. So my next effort was to call the HD Appliance Hotline where I placed the original order. Another 30 minutes getting repeatedly put on hold and I finally got a supervisor. I told her that I ordered the unit, delivery was free, and I paid extra for the install but nobody told me anything about this two-stage process. I reasonably understood the deal was it would be delivered and installed by whoever is delivering it.

The supervisor explained that "certain state laws" require a licensed plumber to install the units. No explanation why nobody mentioned this policy when I ordered it. I was so annoyed. By this point I started talking about getting a refund and going to Lowe's or somewhere else. She told me that they would all have the same policy because it's state law in MD. I told her to cancel my order and I'll take my chances elsewhere. I also told her I would never again buy anything more expensive than a hammer from HD. Just now.

My husband I are new homeowners to the Temple Hills area has who visited the Home Depot location 6003 Oxon Hill Road, Oxon Hill MD 20745 on several occasion. On one occasion we're in search of screws to replace in our bar stools in our new home. Not knowing where to look we searched for some assistance to locate the needed screws. We met up with a young man, so we ask for his help…we found out through conversation that this was his section to work, but then found out that he had no idea how to help us. Turn to ask a question and he was gone.

In turn we went to customer service for more assistance; no one ever came for assistance. My husband and had to try to find screws to fit on our own which was very difficult. Customer service called for someone, but no one ever came to assists us again…frustration. Every time we visit this location there never enough help, or if you happen to find someone after walking through entire store. You end up finding either someone who has no idea of the section or they just have no idea what you’re talking or looking for, or where to find it. You are always sent you to a location that has nothing to do with what you are search of. You may even have a picture to show and still they have no idea.

Well today was a day that struck a nerve, again my husband and I visited this same location again, why!!! After the last visited I have no idea. We were in search an extended drain pipe for our outside drain for the water. I found an associate name ** and ask for the location, he in turn told to “Go straight on aisle 18 and make a left look." At the bottom of the shelves we would find the drain extension, so my husband took the directions and went in search of the product. After reaching the location, we could not find the product. Went to approach the associate and I ask could he take to find the product, he ask his coworker to help us. His coworker gave us the same direction but a little different, again I ask could he take to the product and he pointed straight ahead.

By this time I am furious!!! I ask my husband to wait there in the middle of the aisle, and I went to customer service to ask to speak to a manager and the corporate office number to contact someone regarding the unprofessional service with the store associates at this location. Then I met Mrs. ** at one of the checkouts, asking her about how to file a complaint. She in turn ask me what my needs were, I explained to her the whole matter. She took me and showed me the location of the drain extension for the outside location.

At the same time she was talking the store manager, explaining the unprofessional service at his location. Reach the location of the product with the help of Mrs. **. There I saw a young man by the name of who Mrs. ** stated that ** was the supervisor for this particular location, but he didn’t say a word. Mrs. ** was trying to explain to ** what had accrued, but act as if he wanted to hear it. I do believe that I will never shop, visit, or suggest anyone to shop at Home Depot. PS: A very, very, very unhappy customer, we look for another store for our new homeowner products.

After multiple contacts with the store and having to re-order different appliances, have an electrician install for electrical connection, my appliances were finally delivered on 12/16.

When the new crew arrived they asked about the current gas connection. I told them the issue and they stated that there was nothing wrong with my connection, the original crew had lied. Home Depot has been contacted on multiple occasions to make the situation right and their "Customer Care" division has yet to respond, not even once after 3 contacts. The store even passed me to their delivery company to handle the situation to which a very rude Nia at Spirit Delivery told me there was nothing she could do AND nothing she would do about the problem. I am about to endeavour on multiple renovations on my home and have plans for another home within a couple years. I will not ever purchase from Home Depot. Okay Facebook family and friends I'm pretty understanding when it comes to things that happen. I mean life happens... Things don't go the way you want them to all the time but I'm asking every single one of you to please share this post on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, wherever you can. I went to Home Depot last week and ordered almost $5,000 worth of fencing material to put a fence up today... They told me it would be delivered on Thursday??? Thursday they came and delivered the wrong stuff and it will have to go back... so Jackie from the Glen Burnie store promises it will be delivered on Friday between 6 a.m. and 10.

Then I get a call from Mike telling me that something snapped on their truck and they're unable to deliver this until Saturday so I say still being understanding... "Okay Mike but it needs to be there by 8 Saturday morning. Nobody's going to help on Mother's Day," and he says to me, "No problem Tracey. Sorry for the inconvenience. It will be there by 8 Saturday morning???" Wake up this morning and guess what??? No wood. So I called the Glen Burnie store and no one there has a clue where my wood is. So after speaking to five different people getting disconnected three different times Jacob now says the Lansdowne store is delivering it. So I called Lansdowne store and I'm on hold for 25 minutes. Not one person picks up??? I call back to the Glen Burnie store, talk to 5 different people, none of them seem to know where it's at. So of course I'm pretty Furious by now.

So I drive to the Lansdowne store and they tell me that somebody cancelled out my order and credited my account for the wood panels I said I need today... How is that even possible without my authorization??? So now I had to reorder all of it which by the way is sitting right in their Lansdowne store and you know what they offer me for my time and inconvenience? NOTHING...so I call the corporate office to speak to someone in customer care because isn't that who you call when you have done everything right? And guess what I get from corporate... "Sorry for your inconvenience, we will try to have it there by 1 this afternoon???"

So this is going up on Facebook and anywhere else I can put it. So there you have it people. No wood... no refund... no credit... no nothing, all I get is someone stating that he will try to have it there by 1 this afternoon. Do not and I repeat do not deal with Glen Burnie or Lansdowne Home Depot for anything. They have no way to contact other people. They have no way to get ahold of their drivers. Everything is done through a third party even though they tell you it's coming from their store. It's not. They lied. Yeah I'm ANGRY but I'm also trying to save a whole lot of other people from going through 3 days of frustration and not getting the results that I think should have been done because Home Depot does not care about its customers. #PLEASEREPOST. #STAYAWAY.

I wanted to voice my frustration with the warranty process from my own experience. My refrigerator which was purchased in November 2016 at my local Home Depot malfunctioned on April 9, 2018. I went through the process of calling and setting up service with the Pro Warranty plan that I purchased. After 5 visits from a service tech, 5 times of setting up someone to be at my house or taking off of work, 2 refrigerators of food destroyed, one repair which didn't work - I am very disappointed with the warranty process.

I am an elementary teacher so taking off to wait for repairs is not easy. The tech from Sprint Appliance, who opened the fridge and listened, then said I needed the same part that was replaced last week because it was not working. I took off the 5th time for this 5 second decision. He also thought that maybe the electrical panel was not working properly yet stated that he would have to replace the fan again before looking into that aspect. The last part order took over one week to get replaced, so I am assuming that this order would also take over a week.

Sprint called me on the 9th and explained that the part was ordered yet they were unable to give me a time frame since Home Depot is responsible for this order. In hopes to get a time frame we once again called the Protection Plan Phone number. We were shocked by the level of disrespect and cluelessness from the claim representative - Brooke. She was obviously out walking a dog while talking, she informed him that she could not email anyone - including Sprint to figure out the part time frame, she couldn't call Sprint, she couldn't check on the date of the parts arriving and the supervisor was not available after putting him on hold for 15 minutes - while walking her dog I'm sure the supervisor was not available.

At the end of the call we had no time frame, no apology, no solution and also no food loss claim information as well. I have filled out the food loss form yet it will not be filled until the fridge is repaired which it is not. I have spoken to numerous people at the warranty center, I was not assigned a claim member to directly contact, and also at Sprint Appliance in order to get the matter resolved - but it is not. I would NEVER purchase an appliance with The Home Depot! The warranty plan and customer service are disrespectful and disorganized and worthless. 32 days without a refrigerator...

Went to buy a cable the loop on each end. Only could find a cable with loop on one end. Asked several people for help about a crimper to put loop on other end after I walked up and down every aisle. Well it was about 8:00 and everyone seemed to be in restocking mode. I even asked for a manager and he said he didn’t think they had one, and never stopped restocking to actually help. I even said, "Out of this whole store you don’t have a crimper." All that was said was "Sorry." I finally said, "Forget it. I’ll go to Lowe’s."

The Home Depot in Gilroy, Ca has been approached repeatedly regarding allowing many filthy motorhomes to camp in their parking lot for months at a time. No place for waste or anything. The manager was asked to post the parking lot with "no overnight parking signs"... but has refused. All other responsible business like Walmart, Lowe's, grocery stores, etc. have done that... but not the Home Depot manager in Gilroy. It is filthy and right next to the street. Something has to be done.

Purchased TWO appliances on 04/17/2018. First one delivered and installed correctly. 2nd one, a microwave scheduled for 05/12/2018 to the tune of $1,600. Checked online the week prior to scheduled delivery/install and no order found. Sent off alarms so called phone numbers... only recorded messages. BUT, found out delivery/install had been pushed back to 06/08/2018. No notice - no email or phone call informing of change. Called three different phone numbers attempting to SPEAK with a LIVE HUMAN and only received recorded messages. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE to save a BUCK!!! They're so big and ineffective they don't realize a "kind word is always better than a bad one!" Resorted to online chat help. Advised the manufacturer is to blame (can't be THEIR FAULT?). Microwave is unavailable until AFTER 07/01/2018.

Asked if the 06/08/2017 delivery date was a temporary "put-off" and will be rescheduled until after 07/01/2018 and advised "chat" person to "come with the truth"! Of course it was all the manufacturer and a wishy-washy response. It could be they have ONE they will install on 06/08/2018 OR only a temporary date and it might be later. Other appliance stores in my area and I will no longer be a Home Depot customer! People are NOT sitting around at the back and call of Home Depot. We DO have lives with scheduled dates and especially summer vacations! Unless you're WALKING INTO THEIR STORE to purchase a stock item or one on the floor... DON'T BOTHER!

Mulitple opportunities to fix a problem they created were utter failures! First fail was #2667 missing a part at POS/rental. Second fail was # 2614 a missed opportunity to provide customer service. Third fail was # 2614 in trying to sell us a rental / ignoring if #2667 would refund. 4th fail was #2614 not resolving the problem/not caring. 5th fail was #2667 not apologizing for error. 6th fail was #2667 not resetting the clock at 11am when the full rental equipment was made available to the customer. CUSTOMER SERVICE rating is 0 out of 10 for both stores!

Details: So, my sewer pipe got backed up yesterday. I called a friend who took care of this problem for me 5 years ago to come back and help again. At around 9am, he rented a Electric Eel Model # RK-3_4IC100 from HD in Somerville MA #2667 for 4 hours and drove to my home 20 minutes north on the highway. Once he arrived, unloaded the heavy equipment and opened up the trap in the basement, he discovered that the package of attachments was missing parts, including the specific one he needed. We drove together just 2 miles to Reading HD # 2614 in hopes of finding the correct attachment.

The Reading HD Tool Rental department was less than helpful. The store assistant manager suggested we rent the full unit from them and then go back and get a credit from Somerville. The assistant manager had an opportunity to speak with the Somerville store (who we had on the phone to "reset the rental time" and work something out, but couldn't, wouldn't and/or didn't. We ended up driving to Somerville and picking up the missing parts at 11am. The Rental Department at #2667 wouldn't reset the time to the time we picked up the needed part, saying they already reset the time and couldn't' do it again. We returned to my home by 11:30 (after my re-filling my friends gas tank). We wasted 2 hours "picking up a rental" from HD. Never again.

I have been a customer for years, out of the blue I get an alert from Credit Karma that my HD account was closed. I NEVER got any warning, not by mail or email. I was actually going to use the card in a few weeks to buy 25 square of shingles for my house. I will not longer shop here. I will start a new CC account at Lowe's and buy from them.

I purchased a Glacier Bay all in one toilet to install myself. I had already removed the old toilet and was in a hurry(!!) to install the new one. I got the new toilet out of the box and had it installed in about 10 minutes. The only problem was that the toilet seat that had come with the toilet was broken. One of the two tabs that attach the seat to the toilet was broken and so you could only attach the seat with one bolt.

I called customer service and got a very nice lady on the phone from Home Depot. Once she had confirmed that I had bought the toilet there, she arranged for a replacement toilet seat to be sent. She promised to call me back by Wednesday (this was on Monday) once she got a confirmation from HD that they would send the replacement seat. She called back in like five minutes and said that she had gotten the confirmation email and the seat would be to me in 7-10 days. I got the seat on WEDNESDAY!! It was FedEx'd to me priority. I am very happy with the toilet and the service. Thank you Home Depot.

We have ordered a few things from Home Depot and each time it comes in several different orders and times but this last time we didn't get an item at all and we tried calling and they said the store would call us which they did not. So we tried calling again and were put on hold and forgotten, so I e-mail them and all they said was how sorry they are and to call them. Sheesh they were supposed to call us. It is not our error. It is theirs.
