Poor ** customer service like I rather deal with an annoying police officer than your customer service. Your delivery service is horrendous like a stock market crash and it takes forever for a scheduled delivery because your service makes me wait like America is waiting for that infamous wall to be delivered. Your overall service is pathetic. I'm not dealing with your company anymore. I'm going to your competition now.

Free 2 day shipping was actually 7 days. I ordered a Tower Fan online with the free 2 day shipping. I ordered it on a Monday morning and am now scheduled to receive it on the next Monday. If you need something in a timely manner, find a store that has what you want and pick it up yourself. The free 2 day shipping is a joke.

We went to Jamestown NY Home Depot and had them cut us 4 pieces of carpet for our basement and stairs. 3 out of 4 pieces were cut wrong, too short. We had to hire an installer because we didn't buy the most expensive carpet to earn free installation. He had to cut and piece our carpet together. It looks great but it took him many hours to do the job. I asked the Depot to reimburse us a little bit for the extra time for installing. They said no so I asked about reimbursement of the carpet. That was also a no. So because they have inadequate employees, we had to pay the price. Their customer service sucks.

Home Depot is by far the absolute WORST company when it comes to customer service that I have ever had to deal with in my life! Went there asking for paint advice from the paint department, purchased everything they told me I need in order to successfully paint the wood baseboards white. I showed them pictures of what I was painting and asked a million questions about prep, etc. before leaving, because I am doing this on my own and trying to save money. We just moved to the area, my husband is deployed and I have 3 little ones.
I put the kids to bed, stayed up all night painting and about 24 hours later, I noticed the paint was bubbling and separating from the wall. You can now peel it off in sheets in some sections. I went to the store and showed them pictures and the manager had me file a claim with their insurance company. I have had painters come out and look at it, and they are quoting me about $2000, because the paint has to be all sanded off, primed and then repainted. I do not have this kind of money. I have been given the complete runaround from the insurance company, first they filed my claim under the wrong department so it took 2 days for it to be reassigned to the correct department.
The adjuster I have been working with has been great, except she got my statement and then had to get the store associate's statement. The associate of course said she never remembers talking to me and so now the adjuster had to pull camera footage, and take a screenshot to send it to the store manager so he can show the associate and hope she remembers me by looking at the photo. The adjuster is off on Fridays though so I have to wait until she returns Monday to continue the investigation because they can't let anyone step in while she is off to keep the investigation going, not even a supervisor.
Meanwhile, I have been displaced out of my home, because these piece keeps peeling and falling off the trim and baseboards and my 10 months old keeps picking at it and eating it. The insurance company and Home Depot is very much so aware of this, but isn't expediting or getting anyone else involved to help speed up this process and help me! I'm staying with neighbors we barely know, because the only other space we could go where the paint isn't peeling is our unfinished basement, that has no carpet or heat. I tried staying down there for a day or so, but couldn't do it anymore.
I am disgusted and appalled at the way they have treated this situation. I am not one to complain at all, but I will ask for someone to be held accountable when they have done something wrong. I have been told by the customer care team at their corporate office that 'the paint associates aren't trained paint experts so nothing is guaranteed'. I'm sorry, but I don't know about you, but when I go into a store and ask a question about basic knowledge on a product or something that has to do with the department they work in, I would expect what they are telling their customers is accurate and if you don't know, don't make a guess because your 'guess' has put my family out of my home and with a $2000 paint estimate that I believe I should not have to pay! Pictures don't even do it justice!

I ordered a 4 x 12 raised garden bed. Only a quarter of it came. They tell me the vendor won't send out the rest so we have to do a return. The carrier that's supposed to call me to come pick it up has never called me yet and Home Depot keeps telling me that they're going to call me still have not gotten anywhere. I still am waiting to get my money back. I'm not happy. Very disgusted. Will never shop at Home Depot ever again.

We decided to remodel our cabinets and replace our countertops with granite after an in-home meeting with a Home Depot Home Services sales rep. Unfortunately, we did not read any reviews since we trusted Home Depot because we have been shopping there for years and things are legit in the store and they care about customer service (we thought).
First, after all of the decisions are made during the sales process, the final form where everything is noted uses confusing codes that you can't understand so we made the mistake of trusting the salesman while verbally confirming that the hardware included soft-close roll-out cabinet shelves that we had just discussed verbally a few minutes before. He did not note them in the form and we did not get them, even after we discussed with the salesman's manager because we signed the form without them included.
Next, the project coordination was a huge unprofessional mess. Our installation was scheduled and it wasn't until 3 days before the installation was set to start that we were allowed to go pick our granite slab. Turns out we went to pick it and they did not have the style that we were sold. We were told it would be in a container arriving a week later. It wasn't and our old countertops were already torn out. They tried to tell us they would allow us to take an upgraded manufactured "stone" for the same price but that was not what we wanted; we wanted what we bought.
During the two issues above the salesman was shockingly rude to us and no one at the corporate number we were given returned our multiple calls, they just kept telling us someone would get back to us. They never did. In the end, the granite distributor (independent from Home Depot and with and with no direct communication from Home Depot) worked with their out-of-state locations to get the style we wanted shipped but this took a long time.
Also, the wrong number of handles for the drawers and cabinets were ordered so even after everything else was finally finished, we still had drawers and cabinets we couldn't use because we couldn't open them. Luckily, because the contractors were all decent humans, everything ended up getting sorted out except the soft-close shelves that the salesman was dishonest about. We were without a kitchen for over a month despite being told by the salesman it wouldn't be more than 2 weeks.
After the job was finished, some corporate person called us to make sure we were happy and to tell us they would send a survey. We told them about the issues we had and they told us someone would get back to us. They never did and the survey never came either. Clearly no one cares. I definitely would recommend that anyone considering any kind of work in their STEER CLEAR of Home Depot.

Ordered cabinets for two bathrooms and kitchen in November 2018. Cabinets arrived December. Demolished our kitchen and one bathroom for install. Took weeks before they installed cabinets on late January. Many defective cabinet doors. Counters arrived TWO WEEKS AGO. They forgot to attach the kitchen sink. Just set it inside the counter. Brought wrong counter for one bathroom. Third bathroom hasn't even started. They never returned to take wrong counter out or fix kitchen sink or defective cabinets. I PAID $18,000.00 AND AM MAKING PAYMENTS. I refuse to make another payment. Cannot get a call back. Have sent emails have left messages.
Cannot use our kitchen or bathroom. It's a complete nightmare. Hiring an attorney this week as we have NO CHOICE. It's the Home Depot on Narcoossee Road in Orlando, FL. THE sales Rep is awesome. We feel so sorry for her because she does her job WELL. But once you order everything it's like hitting a dead end. HD takes your money and doesn't finish anything!!!! It's essentially STEALING.

I tried to order a 60 inch kitchen sink base cabinet online. Made by Hampton Bay. I've ordered $2000 worth of these style cabinets in various sizes over the course of a year during a DIY kitchen remodel. This cabinet was not available in Hickory at my store or any Home Depot store. I checked the neighboring states as well. However, since it was available in other finishes, I tried to have it special ordered at my store. They wouldn't do it. Not unless I was willing to order 10 of them. And then maybe. It didn't matter that it's an inventory stock item. It's not available for pick up or delivery. Period. So I can't get the kitchen cabinet that can hold my 3 part sink that matches the rest of the new cabinets. Disconcerting to say the least. I'm going to try the vendor on Monday. I was on hold over an hour without talking to anyone in HD Installation Services. They closed while I was holding.

I have not gotten a response from any of my recent calls, comments and or complaints. Home Depot doesn't care at all. Treated very poorly by a rep named Gary in consumer relations. Asked for his supervisor at least 6 times, refused to transfer me. Delivery services are as ignorant as Gary mentioned previously. Being a contractor, I have deadlines and tight schedules. Home Depot delivery services couldn't get 1 star. The store general manager is powerless with the delivery company. FYI, this has been going on many years with flatbed service to the box trucks. I've had enough. I will be shopping elsewhere. Another FYI, the store and its employees are great to work with. Fire the delivery company and go with in-store control of delivery with local companies. Give the local businesses a chance and give the general manager control of his store.

My name is Fedri ** from Matthews North Carolina. I ordered an electric log splitter online. A week later, Home Depot called me to pick up the merchandise at the local store at Ballantyne Common, Charlotte. Found that the item I bought was used and the package was like an angry dog chewed it. Refused to get an used merchandise and the customer service at the store ordered a new one. 10 days later I received an email to pick up the new log splitter. Get there and found out that my “new” log splitter was the same one I refused to get the first time. I was shocked they tried to cheat me. I demanded to speak with the manager and Dona, the customer service person, said that she was one of them. She didn’t make any effort to fix the problem. Instead of wasting my time I demanded my money back. I’m never buying even a screw from Home Depot again.

I have to say I don’t make many returns at Home Depot but I could not believe the horrible customer service I got from the ladies working at the Myrtle Beach SC return department. Did I get the item returned? Yes, but now I will be debating shopping at Home Depot. I’ll let anyone that don’t already know, you can shop around Home Depot and find something you want to buy and use your phone and scan the barcode to check prices on eBay and Amazon. Most of the time the price is cheaper and with free shipping, I try to keep local businesses in business but with ladies like today working the return dept. I question if I will continue supporting a company that doesn’t continue to train their employees. Their policies and that customer service is one the of biggest things that will keep customers coming back to shop.

I have been shopping at Home Depot on Long Island since the 1980s, spending thousands and thousands of dollars. For the most part, I have been satisfied with their selection and prices. Unfortunately my recent experience has turned me off on Home Depot, big-time. Last Memorial Day weekend I purchased 11 gallons of Behr Premium Ultra paint in order to get the holiday weekend rebates. A few weeks later I received a $90 rebate debit card with "Home Depot" printed on it. As it looked like a gift card, I did not see the tiny print "valid through 12/18". I only spent about $20 up until that date. I went to use it again recently and found out it was invalid.
I have spent days trying to get in touch with the correct people. For awhile, their customer_cares email did not work. I have made calls to their numbers only to get transferred to an answering machine that was full, or speak to a person I could not hear because of static. I have complained on social media, only to have their response deleted before I could read the phone number they gave. I finally got help on Twitter and got the same dead-end phone call results. I finally got a person that could help, but of course they said the rebate was now invalid and there is nothing they could do. Where did the balance go??? Did the company farmed out too so the rebate cards steal the balance?
After some complaining, they finally said they could give back some of the money. Whatever happened to sending checks for the rebate??? Or a real gift card from Home Depot? If you have to resort to games like this, don't have a rebate to begin with. This complaint is not so much about the $90. It's about how their customer service seems to be going down the tubes. It's about bad public relations. If you are a popular, powerful corporation you are supposed to have a professional system in place. Makes me think maybe there is trouble brewing at HD.

Home Depot scams you by luring you into false credit card promotion to get $25 off first purchase under $999 & $100 off if purchase is over $1000. When signing up, you also get a $5 off voucher sent in your email but if you use that you won't get your initial promotion of $25 for signing up the credit card. It is very bad business to dupe people by getting you to sign up for their credit card & at the same time get a coupon voucher sent to your email but it doesn't tell you that using this $5 voucher for signing up to their website that you apply it to your first purchase you will lose the other promotion for opening a credit card.
If I were told this when I called to open this account even though I asked all the right questions I was only told it would be credit to me on my first bill which it wasn't. I was lied to so if anyone like me who only opened a credit card with Home Depot beware of false advertising and being lied to on the phone before I opened this account and get cheated out of the first purchase promotion! Soon as I pay this card off, I will not be using it again or be a customer at Home Depot. Lowe’s has better deals so will be going there for now on!

I order 2 bags of rock online for delivery. Within a minute of receiving the acknowledgment email, I noticed that the delivery address on the order was wrong - a different city than I live in! I went to the website to cancel. I followed instructions online that said go to my "orders" and hit the "cancel" button. I went and found no such thing. Logged out again and again, looking for that button and it is just not there. Then I called the phone number that is provided as an alternative. I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone and there was no prompt for cancellations.
At the same time, I sent emails to customer service at Home Depot telling them the problem and asking for cancellation. No response. Then I texted the number given as a third alternative. I got someone who told me that I would have to send her another text at 6 a.m. the next morning because the store that would be delivering was closed. Sigh. I set my alarm and the next morning I sent the text. I received a text that they couldn't help and I would have to call the store in the city where I don't live. I called the store and someone there told me that he would cancel the order and not charge my credit card. I never received an email acknowledgment of the cancellation so I texted the person again. They told me I would have to talk to the store. I said that I did, but got no acknowledgment and asked them to follow up. I got a text in a few moments telling me the order had been cancelled.
Later that morning I got a responding email from customer service (in answer to the email I had sent them the day before, acknowledging cancellation. I never, though, received a cancellation email from the store. Today, two weeks later, I notice that my credit card has been charged. I sent everything to the credit card company and they reimbursed me and will investigate, but it's still annoying as hell. At first, I was just going to cancel the order I placed and then immediately reorder making sure they had the correct delivery and billing address. NO MORE. I WILL NEVER ORDER ANYTHING FROM Home Depot AGAIN!!

So I went to purchase an over the range microwave oven. They had a great deal on a Samsung. It was marked $242 ($200 off regular price). I told them I would like to purchase it. They said "we do not get them in stock, any of them ever. You have to purchase it with shipping. Shipping is $75." I told them I don't mind waiting for it to get to the store. They said they do not get them to the store, they only ship to your house and it's $75 to ship. This made no sense to me. I could understand if they ran out of stock or I had to travel to another store, or I had to wait a week to get it delivered to the store at no cost to me except the advertised price.
I even told them I would take the floor model. They said, no they are not allowed to sell the floor model. I asked to speak the manager in the Cornelius NC. She said that's the way it is, kind of an attitude, no real explanation or understanding of how this makes no sense. In a nutshell. They advertise a price that's not possible to sell for. If there is no way you can buy the product for the price shown it should not be advertised in the store. Makes perfect sense to me. Please enlighten me if you see another way of looking at this? The installers that were hired to put in our windows were completely unprofessional and did a lot of damage to the inside and outside of our home. They arrived 5 hours late and left my home in a total mess at 9:00 pm so some of the damage wasn’t noticeable until daylight the next day. Our nightmare started on October 4th 2018 and we are still fighting with them to get this resolved. Still haven’t had a final inspection. Totally disgusted with their services and the quality of work.
Our home was completed covered with concrete dust because they did not cover the work areas. The concrete dust was so bad I had to leave my home with my animals and go outside. I also wound up with respiratory infection which required a doctor visit and medication. They left pieces of concrete and metal in my carpet and outside in my plant beds and yard. Hand prints and shoe marks on the walls and a lot of damage to my window sills and stucco and even the window in the living room. My window sill now does not match the rest of my home as they couldn’t get the right marble. Took them 3 times to install it in one piece.
Will NEVER use Home Depot again. I have wrote to the CEO 4 times and gone to the store manager and customer service as well. Still haven’t had the issue resolved or the refund we were promised for having to have a professional cleaning company come to clean all the concrete dust that literally covered everything in my home. Due to a lack of in-store choices on a replacement sink for our powder room, we had to order one online. The one my husband chose with a very nice design to it was not inexpensive and there was NO indication that this sink would not fit into a "normal home powder room". Even in reading the specs, there was nothing that led us to believe that this sink sat so close to the wall that the current plumbing would not fit into it correctly. The main pipe coming into it would have to be cut down to fit properly and the drain stopper both rubbed on the inside and dug into the wall behind it.
After paying for the plumber to start installing this, we decided there were too many issues with it and had to have him come back to un-install this one and install the replacement we found. I contacted Home Depot to let them know of the issues and suggesting that the proper thing for them to do would be to send out an installer, for this 2nd one, at no cost to us. They refused. Then I suggested they pay the very low cost of our plumber for the re-install, and they still refused. The person that I was in contact with seemed to NOT care in the least about their customer relations or trying to make the situation right, even though this was caused by their website not having a full, proper description of the item.
On other sites, they clearly state the sinks are "small', or "tiny" or "full size", etc. Home Depot had no such words in the description and since the cost of this was more than many others, we had no reason to believe it may not fit in our small powder room. The least Home Depot should have done to make this right was somehow cover the re-install. We had to pay twice for their inaccurate website information.

I live in a remote part of Colorado, so I was happy to see the Home Depot home delivery service. Initial delivery estimates were between 8 and 12 days, which was acceptable for my project. After twelve days they revised it to 15 days, and after 15 days they revised it to 19 days. Online tracking now shows that a delivery date cannot be estimated. I have not received any communication from either Home Depot, Estes Express trucking, or the final carrier RAC Transport. Ordered fridge a month ago. They initially showed up and would not come in the driveway. Drove away and had the scheduler call to say they took pictures (unauthorized) of our driveway/home and could not make it down - despite us receiving a UPS and a USPS delivery around the same time. Scheduled for following Friday and same thing happened again...and again with unauthorized pictures. We had been told when scheduling this that they would be able to bring down on a carrier if they wouldn't drive. The driver refused. When Home Depot was contacted they stated they can only deliver on Wednesday or Friday. They could not schedule a time despite us pointing out how many days we've already taken off already.
When asked what would happen when the driver showed up next week with the same driveway what would be the plan? I was told they would have the order reordered as the delivery would need to be returned to their warehouse. We were also told that we could pick it up ourselves from an hour and half away but couldn't drive up the driveway and have put in our truck (which is what they let us do for the washer and dryer). Also, because we put on the Home Depot Credit Card which was due already and of course paid we were told it could take 60 days for a credit to be given to the account (and not just returned to us). Horrible horrible experience. Will not be shopping there again.

Their return policy is the worst in the industry. They seem to know items might be defective but still sell them to the customer. I recently received a washer and dryer. Both didn't work right and both are damaged, they have big scratches on the sides and dents. The washer does not wash clothes. The clothes on top never get washed, they get wet but don't get washed. This new impeller design for top load washers is garbage. The salesperson told me they work just as good. I was going to buy the washer with the agitator and the sales guy said these washers with the impeller design work better. So I took his word and bought the impeller washer.
The impeller design on Maytag's products is junk. I tried to return the washer and dryer. They want to try to fix the washer first before I can return them. I have had them for less than 24 hours. Neither one of the machines work right. And both machines are damaged. I encourage people not to buy any appliances form the Home Depot. They have bad policies. Their policies are there to help Home Depot and rip off the customer. I would give them 0 stars but it's not a option.

I went to purchase a hot water tank on Saturday Feb 9th 2019. On most of the boxes it states, that if you call for installation before 12:00pm, you can receive installation. My basement had just flooded and I required service as soon as possible. The sales representative was quite nice and had a fair amount of knowledge on various models. I chose one of the more expensive models and then spoke about the installation. I was told it would cost $215 plus there would be various other costs so expect it to be around $300+/-.
I paid the $40 inspection fee and then had to wait for the installers to come by. At 3:30 I received a call that nobody was coming as they only assist with emergencies on the weekend. I stated that I wasn't told this and I believed my situation was important. She stated she would call again and let me know. I even said if it had to be Sunday, I could live with that. 7:00pm came and went and no call. Sunday came and left and no call.
On Monday I walked into the store and spoke with the store manager. I took her to the boxes and showed the sign on them and asked what that meant sarcastically. She stated that a installation could happen as she knew one that took place which happened the same day. When asking for some sort of compensation, she stated I had to buy the product first and wait for the inspector to send in the measurement report. Once that is completed, someone from Home Depot would call me with the quote and wait for my answer. If I replied yes and paid for it then, they would then call the installation company to perform the work.
At 1:30pm on Monday, I called Home Depot as I hadn't heard from them. I was then given to their installation department who shared their breakdown of costs. The total for installation was around $1450 and about $1050 for the hot water tank for a total around $2500. Needless to say that caught my attention so I then asked for the store manager. When I told her the total costs, it didn't phase her at all. When I asked for some sort of compensation she offered me 50% off the original installation price of $215.
When I mentioned how I didn't receive a few phone calls and that the sign on the boxes stated same day installation, and that my basement was flooded, the phone went blank. I asked if she was still there and she responded saying I'd get 50% of the original $215 quote. I stated that was 4% of the total price and my time and effort is more than that. The phone went dead again. I asked for a discount on the water tank but she stated that couldn't be done. I asked for a employee discount or even a seniors discount but they don't have these supposedly. Yes I did hear an apology for five different infractions but no sincerity were behind them. Signs mean absolutely nothing and promises can't hold water so what's the point in believing anything that Home Depot states.
I am in the midst of a huge renovation which is being completed over 3 years where approximately $300,000 will be spent. On November 9th I purchased a refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave from The Home Depot. They were to be delivered and installed. When the movers arrived they told me they couldn’t hook up the electric stove because the warehouse ran out of plug/adapters needed. They also couldn’t install the microwave because: a) my existing Kenmore microwave was “different from any they’d ever seen” and couldn’t be removed without special tools, and b) the microwave I purchased was too wide and tall to fit in the space anyway
However: My 25 year old son was able to remove the microwave on his first try using nothing but a screwdriver. The microwave I initially purchased was not too big. I went back to the store and repurchased the exact same one and had my son install it. In my opinion, the movers didn’t want to “waste time” installing the microwave so made excuses for not being able to do so. They didn’t bring the adapter for the stove because they didn’t want to take the time to install the foot plate that ensures the stove doesn’t tip over. It was all about getting in and out quickly.

I purchased a washer/dryer from HD on 1/20/19. That very instant, they knew the delivery date was 2/9/19. Despite this, they tell me to wait until the day before to receive the 4 hour delivery window. I call to tell them that on that date, I can only accommodate a morning delivery. Everyone at HD or the delivery company says "we'll make a note, but no guarantees". HD says, no guarantee. The delivery company (Temco) says "we'll look at the note but it is only honored if it works for us". I have spoken with managers at Temco, and supervisors and "resolution center" at HD to no avail. In fact, the resolution center put me on hold (to transfer the call to another supervisor), for an hour, at the point I hung up.
The bottom line is this, HD doesn't care about their customers beyond the initial cash. This is not something HD wants to hear, but it is the bitter truth. If HD cared, they would NOT have entered into an agreement with a company like Temco, without a provision that allows HD to dictate some terms on the deliveries. It's just that simple. There are a host of places you can buy big appliances and I would suggest that you do just that. Best Buy, Fry's or any other manufacturer who do things like next day delivery or other things that clearly indicate they are there to serve the customer. I wish I had.

There is no one who could question the company that how are they managing using people money such way. Spent over $3,000 to buy flooring and baseboard from the East Wichita store. During the process I was told by two different employees at three different times that I also had to remove the casing from around the doors. This seems strange to me hence the reason I asked more than one person and more than one time. In fact the casing did not need to be removed and you can't properly install the baseboards unless the casing is up first. When we asked about adding installation of the casing to the order were told that could not be done and we'd have to hire someone on our own. It was suggested we talk to the installer to see if they could/would do it. Keep in mind that but for the Home Depot employees telling us the casing had to be removed we would not have spent time removing it and money buying new casing.
We contacted the installer - Cooper Installation - who said they didn't think there would be an issue but needed to talk to the people doing the actual installation first. We then get a call from Home Depot about wanting to add additional services to the contract (which we'd tried to do weeks ago and were told we could not). The cost to add this was going to be $891! That is only slightly less than what we were paying to install flooring and baseboards in three rooms, a walk in closet, and a hallway! We explained this was not acceptable and contacted Home Depot corporate to see what could be done since this was an issue caused only because of what we were told by Home Depot employees.
Ultimately we were told we could hire someone ourselves and submit the bill to Home Depot and they would then see if they could do anything to help with the costs. This went back and forth with us explaining over and over that this didn't work since we needed to have the casings done as soon as the floor was done and before the baseboard was installed. We were then offered a $200 credit (meaning we could pay $681 to fix the issue caused by Home Depot)!!!
When the actual installer (sub-contractor for the place Home Depot hired) came to start the project they were surprised at the casing being off and explained what we already knew, that this would be an issue with getting the baseboard and casings installed properly so they looked right and fit correctly. The on-site installer gave us a quote of $300 to do the casings ($591 less that the Home Depot quote). However, since they were contracted through Home Depot they could not do the work without approval.
I tried to call the customer service number but the people I need to talk to don't work on the weekend. I was told to contact the local story and see what could be done. I called and ultimately went to the Home Depot on Woodlawn in Wichita, KS to see if this could be resolved so I could get the project done today. I was repeatedly interrupted and talked over when I tried to explain to yet another person at Home Depot what the issue was and what needed to be done to fix this. I asked that the installer be called and given the okay to do the casing installation and I'd pay the $300 out of my pocket to get it done so the rest of the work could be done. Instead all I was told over and over was that I could have a $200 credit against the $891 installation.
I ended up cancelling the baseboard installation entirely and walked out with a refund. Now I have to not only hire someone to do the casings but I'll have to hire them to also do the baseboards and my house will remain incomplete longer. A simple phone call today would have fixed this and cost Home Depot nothing. Instead you had to refund me money and have lost a customer. I urge everyone to make their home improvement purchases any place but at Home Depot.

We recently purchased a new washer and dryer from Home Depot. We were busy with work and after delivery and installation the technician ran the washer through a cycle with no clothes in the washer. He said it seemed to be running just fine. We were busy with work and it did not seem that there were any problems, so went about our day. About a week later, when we had some spare time, my husband decided to do a load of wash. The washer would not drain and spin at that time. Not sure if he ran the washer correctly and on the right settings, he requested that I do a load of laundry to see if this was just a one-time event. It was several days before I was home long enough to run the load and see how it was performing. Again, the washer would not drain and spin.
We contacted the Maytag repair company and they came out and told us this was a defective washing machine and that we should contact Home Depot to get a new washer. They could order some parts for it but it would take about 10 business days. Since the washing machine was brand new, we assumed that we would be able to exchange it for one that worked.
Upon contacting Home Depot, they told us that we would have to pay a 15% restocking fee (are they really going to restock a broken washing machine??) AND pay for another delivery and set up. Home Depot also told us that they have a 48 hour return policy on a new washer and dryer. We were unable to run the machine in the first 48 hours of having it and not only that, the brand new person in the department who sold the washer and dryer to us never mentioned any such limitation. Why would Home Depot have to restock a broken washing machine? Why were we not told that we needed to run the washing machine within 48 hours of installation or deliver? Why would Home Depot want to provide such poor service?

He also called me a ** four times (when I made a point that a woman can handle themselves in Home Depot and that I thought he was out of line). Multiple employees saw this exchange and stood idly by. Falsely accused of theft - On Friday January 18th, 2019 I went to my local Home Depot store located at 15655 Roy Rogers Dr in Victorville, California. I went to the toilet seat section to make a purchase. I was then approached by two men, one whom appeared to be ** and Mexican (Store Manager) and another ** associate. They then said to me, “One of my associates pointed you out saying that you had a whole bunch of cleaning supplies and denied showing the receipt of your purchase.” They then asked me to leave and told me that I can no longer shop there. I then proceeded to tell them that this was my first time in the store today. The manager then stated that he will check the cameras.
I have numerous issues with this situation and the way it was handled. The first being, the associate should have notified the manager when said issue happened with whomever it happened with and the cameras should have been reviewed at that time, prior to making FALSE accusations. Second, Being a ** man in America, the intimidation and humiliation I experienced for something that I did not do does not sit well with me. I need to be contacted by The CEO in order to resolve this issue, this should have never happened and I refuse to let it happen again to an innocent person, whether they are **, purple, or yellow.

Do not use Home Depot for anything! I contracted with the company to renovate my kitchen. They said it would take 3.5 weeks. That was two years ago. The contracted backsplash has not been done, though paid for by me and they have refused to do same. They lied to BBB. The project manager at the Chicago Lincoln Park store tries to use a 'sexy' voice and lies, does not schedule per promise. Countertop did poor work and does not do backsplash any more in spite of their arrangement with Home Depot. Horrible cheating, corrupt company. Will not complete contract or refund money paid. I recently received a call from a woman who insinuated that she was with Home Depot and she was calling about my recent dishwasher purchase. She then asked me if I had ever had my water tested. That's when I knew she was not with HD and was only trying to sell me an expensive household water filter system. I also recently had a bad experience with another water filter system sales person who showed up at my house, unannounced, at 7pm. He claimed that I had made an appointment with him to have my water tested and that he was with HD. I did NOT have an appointment with him and he was not with HD. He tried to sell me his water filter system and was rude and insulting when I told him I was not interested, he just could not understand why any intelligent person would not want a water filter system.
I asked him how he got my address and he said it was from a survey about water quality I participated in when I was in HD. I recall that survey and the only personal info I provided was my name and email. He had to go to some effort to find my address, or he got the info from HD. The woman who called about my dishwasher purchase told me she got my info from HD. So, HD is sharing its customers purchases and personal info with outside companies who then try to sell you their products/services, all without the customer's permission.

I bought a Home Depot $100 gift card at Fred Meyer in Auburn WA. When I went to use it at Home Depot the cashier told me there was no money on the card. I had the receipts and original packaging from Fred Meyer. Even with receipts Fred Meyer was not very helpful. Over a half hour on hold before talking to anyone. They are understaffed. I scanned all receipts and was promised a call back within 24 hours. A week later I called back. Another 45 minutes on hold. They looked up the claim number and I was informed the card was used in the Covington WA Home Depot. The card was still in the original packaging and in my safe on the date it was used. Home Depot told me they would get back to me but never did. I went back to the store and one manager told me to file a police report. Another manager was a bit more helpful but hasn’t come up with a solution. I’m out $100. Beware of gift cards. Somehow others can use them even when locked in a safe.

They indicated they did not. How does a Fortune 500 company not ensure that their delivery service has more than one truck. I called them to ask if a neighbor and I could come pick up the washer with his pick up. They put me on hold forever! Then told me they only allow pick-ups Monday - Friday. NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM HOME DEPOT!!! Purchased 11-28-18. Delivered 12-26-18, damaged my walls, broke my big mirror, and my mirror clock from slamming the stuff up against the wall. Refrigerator was damaged so they rescheduled for 12-29-18. 12-29-18 they never came, so I call. They said, "Oh no. You're scheduled for 1-05. 1-05 at 5 pm I call and say it has not come yet. They tell me, "Oh your appt is 5:45-8:45. 9 pm guy calls and says he will be here a little over an hour. I said, "Are you serious??? It's gonna be 10:30 pm when you get here." He say, "** you. Now you're not getting it. Call and reschedule." I then go to Home Depot 930 pm and of course they do nothing.
Now this morning I call and they say I'm scheduled for Wednesday 1-9 between 5:45-8:45 pm again, I said, "Why so late, I can't keep people at my house till 10 pm helping with this", they said. "Then Sat..." Mind you I've had no refrigerator since 12-26 and purchased my stuff 11-28. I said, "No. Just send it." So I get it and guess what? It's scratched and dented, I then go to Home Depot store and they said the best they can do is send a new one out on 1-14-18. So 11-28-18 purchase date, and 1-10-19 still don't have my refrigerator.

Been a long time Home Depot customer and used to prefer them over that other major competitor, but times are changing. Went to our local Home Depot here in Sevierville, TN for several days in a row to buy kitchen cabinets and other supplies. I guess if we hadn't been exposed to them so frequently, then maybe the experience would have been better. In general, this store has almost nobody with the ability to help you. Oh, they will ask if they can help you, but if you say yes you might as well have kicked them in the teeth. You can see this almost ghost like expression come over their faces and the look similar to a deer trapped in the tiger cage.
I've actually seen a few turn and almost run away from us when we had a question. Forget personal knowledge of the products, product location or anything similar. Without their trusty cell phone, you might as well ask the guy living under the local overpass where their Loctite thread sealer is at. But here is the kicker. On our last and mean last visit there, we were attempting to check out with a $70 Dremel tool set that would not scan. While the "associate" was peeling off stickers and trying to find the correct bar code, another customer's dog had its nose squarely up my butt. Now mind you, we are dog lovers, but that is ridiculous. Since when did it become acceptable to bring your dogs into every store?
Don't hit me with the "service dog" crap because a real trained service dog will not do that. And yes I did take a shower that morning! Fact is, Home Depot not only cannot provide good service anymore, their extremely social justice policies infringe on everyone else. The ability to shop without worrying about a dog, cat, tiger, chicken or whatever bothering you in the store and potentially biting, jumping on you, spreading fleas, ticks or dirtying your clothes has now been infringed. Sorry, but honest to goodness certified service dogs should happily be accepted, but the general dog population or "emotional" support dogs need to be kept at home.
Unfortunately, this trend has spread to entertainment venues, restaurants and grocery stores because the limp wristed Board of Directors for these companies are more interested in satisfying the minority idiots than worrying about the health and welfare of their majority customers or even the protection of their shareholders from lawsuits. Can't believe I've had to write this, but here you go. As for us, we'll be buying our stuff online, not from Home Deport online, or patronizing our local mom and pop hardware stores. You can enjoy your day in the Home Deport dog park and good luck finding what you need there.

Crappy change in their vets discount policy. In the past if you showed a drivers license with the vets "V" on it or the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA card), then you could get the 10% discount. Now you must show a VA card that shows you have a service connected injury, are retired military or on active duty. So if you were in for one month and went insane and got a medical discharge and VA card, you can get the discount. But if you served your country for 8 years and got an Honorable Discharge, you get no discount. I can't say anything about the Frigidaire range itself because, even though it was purchased and fully paid for at Home Depot on November 23, 2018 and delivery was estimated for December 7, it is now January 5, 2019 and it still has not been delivered. First delivery failure: the evening before delivery day, December 5, we had a robo-call telling us the range would be delivered between 12:45 and 4:45 and the drivers would give us a call about a half hour before arrival. This didn't happen. Around 2 PM the drivers called from the end of our driveway, saying they couldn't get up to the house because the driveway had to be plowed and sanded.
In fact, it had been plowed and sanded the day before and a half inch of fluffy new snow had fallen on it early that morning. The drivers insisted they couldn't get up because they were driving a box truck, but if we had a pickup truck they would put the range in that and we could drive it up to the house. We don't have a pickup, so they advised us to call Home Depot to reschedule. They asked how far down the road they'd be able turn around to head back to their next delivery. When I walked down the driveway a short time later, I saw the drivers had not even attempted to come up the driveway. Their tire tracks were perpendicular to the driveway. This is rural Vermont. We're not used to this kind of failure by business people.
Second delivery failure: the evening before delivery day, December 15, we had a robo-call telling us the delivery would be between 8:45 and 12:45 the following day, and the drivers would give us a call about a half hour before they arrived. This didn't happen. Instead at about 10:15 the delivery truck came up the driveway, and one of the delivery men came into the house. I greeted him and mentioned the delivery failure ten days before. He commented that even though the driveway was bare he'd really had "to gun it" to get up to the house because the tires on the truck were bald. He asked whether our gas range, which they were to take away, had been disconnected. I said the salesman at Home Depot said that the delivery people would "take care of everything."
The delivery man said that in Vermont only a licensed gas technician can disconnect a gas range, and he couldn't touch it. He offered to leave the new electric range in our living room so that we could move it into place once the gas range had been disconnected and we had moved it out of the way. Once that happened, we could call Home Depot and they would schedule an appointment for the gas range to be removed, presumably from our living room. I said this was unacceptable and outside Home Depot's promises about delivery.
The delivery guy said this was not the first time this had ever happened and opined that all they care about at Home Depot is making the sale. He told me he was not working for Home Depot but for a delivery company that in turn was working for GE Appliance Delivery. He said we should call Home Depot to reschedule a new delivery appointment and get the gas company to disconnect the old range before the new date and time for delivery. We did that.
Third delivery failure: the new delivery date was to be some time on January 4. We called our gas company and made an appointment to have them disconnect our gas range as early as possible on January 4. Two days before, January 4 the gas company called to say their technician would be at our home between 8:30 and 10 AM on the 4th, and they would do all they could to see that he was here as early as possible.
The next evening, the evening before delivery, we had a robo-call from Home Depot telling us delivery would be on the 4th between 12:45 and 4:45, and the drivers would call about a half hour before they arrived. It snowed a little overnight between the 2nd and the 3rd, so when our driveway was plowed the afternoon of the 3rd, I asked our plow guy to put down an especially heavy load of sand so the delivery truck would have no trouble getting up even if its tires were bald. He did that and when he was done, the driveway looked like a race track in Kentucky on a sunny day in June.
The gas technician showed up at 8:30 sharp the morning of January 4 and disconnected our gas range. The day was bright and relatively warm. The driveway was sanded, the stairs were clear of ice and snow and the old gas range was disconnected and ready to be carried out of the house. 4:45 came and went. No call from the drivers and no sign of the delivery truck. At five, we called Home Depot. After being on hold forever, the agent at Home Depot came back and said the drivers had run into a problem at the delivery before us and were finishing up and would call when they were on their way. That was 5:30.
By 6:45 we had heard nothing from the drivers and nothing from Home Depot. So we called Home Depot again. This time after an interminable wait on hold, the Home Depot agent came back to say that our appliance had been lost in the warehouse. Lost in the warehouse? Just an hour and a half earlier the story had been that the delivery guys had been hung up with a problem at the delivery before ours and would soon be calling us to say they were on their way. Both stories couldn't be true. I asked to be connected to the agent's supervisor. This was done. The supervisor was sorry about everything or said she was. She seemed as bothered as I was that delivery had been promised the night before when it should have been clear by then that the appliance could not be found in the warehouse. She offered to call the warehouse.
After another long wait on hold she came back to say the worker in the warehouse confirmed that the range could not be found. The warehouse person also said it would take them at least 48 hours to find a replacement appliance and the earliest possible delivery date would be January 11. No stove to cook our meals on for a week? I said this was unacceptable. The agent I was speaking to gave me what she said was the supervisor's phone number in the warehouse. I called and it turned out that this was not the warehouse but a corporate problem resolution agent for GE Appliance delivery.
After a succession of long waits on the phone this agent came back to say she had confirmed everything I'd said, but that there was nothing she could do. But since Frigidaire is really an Electrolux brand I should call Electrolux because they and not Home Depot own the lost range and they could do things GE Appliance delivery could not do, and I should call them in the morning. I did. It's Saturday. The machine at the Electrolux number I was given said they don't do business on the weekend and I should call back Monday.
I called the GE Appliance delivery number again and after speaking to a first level person, I got a supervisor who kept me on hold while he tried to call the warehouse. He came back to say that the warehouse phone referred him to the regional manager's phone and the regional manager's phone referred him to the warehouse so he wrote an email to both asking them to investigate and figure out what to do to get us a range to cook on. He said they'd call me back. That was about nine this morning. Now it's almost noon. Guess what? I haven't heard a word more, not from any of these jokers.
Resolution: if this isn't settled with a new electric range in my kitchen by Monday evening, I will ask my credit card company to credit my payment back to my account. I will call the gas company and have them re-connect my old gas range. I will then sue Home Depot in small claims court for every penny I have spent on installation of the outlet I had installed for the electric range, disconnection and reconnection of my gas range, all the meals we will have eaten outside our home, the extra heavy load of sand I had laid down on my driveway and anything else I spend money and time on to get through this domestic crisis manufactured by Home Depot. And oh yes, I will never set foot in a Home Depot store again or purchase anything from them online. And I will advise everyone I know to avoid them like the plague they are.

I chose Home Depot to install and to purchase carpet as guaranteed free furniture moving, free old carpet removal and to haul off. Free carpet installation. I had to pay for carpet upfront with only a few select choices if one needed installed in their quick installation special. They were to install in one day. It took 2 days and was about one week past the original latest install date. One installer was definitely intoxicated. They pushed the carpet out an upstairs window damaging the storm window. They pushed a empty bookcase instead of lifting it breaking it beyond repair and hid it in an alcove, I discovered after they left.
Home Depot said moving furniture included, after contract signed stated moving did not include specialty beds, pool tables or pianos. The night before installation was supposed to take place I received a call from someone associated with scheduling installers to tell me they would only move 6 pieces of furniture total and I needed to remove any drawers which there were a lot since these were bedrooms. I am 65 years old, and am not supposed to lift, this information was an extreme hardship for me.
I felt Home Depot misrepresented what they would do to entice me to buy. They did send someone to who attempted to repair the previous carpet installation, those installers were appalled by the job that had been done. Home Depot had offered to pay for replacement of bookcase pay for new paint for walls, nothing was ever forthcoming. So much for my feeling they would back up their service, Going with Home Depot does not mean good service, just lip service.

On Nov. 23, 2018 (Black Friday) I bought a range, refrigerator, over the range microwave and dishwasher (all GE which I will never purchase again either). Initial delivery date was Dec. 14th, 2018. The evening before I received a text that delivery has been postponed to Jan. 2nd, which totally ruined the holiday celebration at my home since everything had to be cancelled as I had no appliances in the house.
On Dec. 28 I called to make sure delivery was on the 2nd and found out that it has been postponed to Jan. 7th. I called HD and had to cancel the range (which was in backorder) so I can have all other 3 items delivered. Then they made a new order for the range and told me it was getting delivered on Jan. 7th. Today (1/4/19) I received a notification that was postponed, once again, to Jan. 22nd when I was guaranteed that the range in the new order was going to be delivered on Jan. 7th. I called again and representative could not care less, he was more concerned in hanging up the call than making any effort to try and help me.
Today's customer service experience was really poor. They did not even make an effort to try and make it right or compensate somehow for the 2 months wait on an item that is quite pricey and essential (range) in the household. Between initial order and last item delivery it will be 2 months therefore I advise that if you are getting new appliances, just go to Best Buy, they have price match and at least you don't have to wait 2 months to have something that, as expensive and essential at it is, should have been delivered on time. I should have followed my own advice.

1/2/2019. Buy kitchen appliances ANYwhere else. BUT. HERE! I updated my kitchen last year-December 2017. (Williams Construction Company, NOT Home Depot!) I have an enclosed space (1960's house) for my fridge. I took the specs to the kitchen designer. She shows me one that will work. Delivery came as scheduled, it didn't fit. I left the old 20+ year almond-colored fridge in place. Decided to try again this year. Worked with Ellen in Appliance dept. and found a fridge with the right specs. It gets delivered, put in place by Barlow's, Home Depot's 3rd party delivery service. I sign the paperwork, they give me the warranty info, etc.
I open the fridge, and it doesn't look right. I look at the product warranty number, it doesn't match the product info I received from Home Depot with the product I ordered. Barlow's insisted it was the same model because the serial number is correct! NO, it's not! I'm looking at the MODEL #, and can the model #'s don't match, Number recognition and matching or non-matching numbers is kindergarten level skills. Manager Karl got involved. Found out the warehouse didn't have what I ordered so switched to a 'comparable product'. Didn't tell me ahead of time. As the customer, I reserve the right TO MAKE MY OWN DECISIONS!
I went to the store to purchase another product-11/29/18. Barlow's was scheduled to come and pick up the incorrect fridge on 12/9. When they called, I inquired if they were also going to deliver my new fridge purchased on 11/29. No, they don't have that. Fine, don't come and pickup this fridge because then I WON'T HAVE A FRIDGE! (These people are seriously inept!) Fridge #3 delivered on 12/31/18. Barlow's driver comes in to the house and looks at the space. Driver says "what do we do with that one?" I said you're taking it back. He said, "No, I don't have paperwork."
I don't have a garage, I have a carport, with one old fridge waiting to be sold. (Which still works by the way!) I don't need a 2nd fridge sitting in my carport-HOA would send a nastygram. If I had a garage, it might be different! Barlow driver calls his office, I call Home Depot. Manager Larry says Home Depot shows a number for pickup. Barlow's doesn't. Driver recommended rejecting the delivery then calling Home Depot to get the paperwork, due to the holiday, driver says this is the best thing to do. Had me sign that I was rejecting delivery and away they went. Manager Larry says I'm on the schedule for Friday delivery. Great. I can shuffle my food in and out of the fridge for a 3rd time, take time off work and wait to see what happens.
In the meantime, Home Depot is billing/charging late fees for fridge #2, for which I have paperwork that says it's refunded and applied to purchase of fridge #3. Difference given to my dad (his credit card) in cash from Customer Service register. When I lived in OH, I replaced 2 exterior doors, 2 interior, paint for all 2200 sq. feet of interior, all kitchen appliances and gave guest bath a minor facelift-hundreds of $$ spent; never a problem with Orange Township #3836. I wonder if they would deliver?! GO. ANYWHERE. ELSE!

I completed my checkout and was ready to leave the store once my wife was finished. Well, upon looking back to see where my wife was I noticed one of your employees was holding her up while the employee was cutting open and inspecting one of her items in her cart.
When this employee named Diane was questioned as to why she was going thru my wife’s items she replied she was told to open anything that was taped up and was not stapled or glued. Well, this employee Diane should have been properly educated on how your seasonal items are sealed, not all of them use glue or staples but most of them use standard clear shipping tape!!! Diane ended up with a very bad attitude and frankly had no right to make false assumptions that my wife was stealing!!! Diane was extremely rude, purposely held my wife up when we questioned her about her actions, got short with me as well and frankly should be fired!! She is classic example of poorly trained Home Depot employees who need a lesson or two in proper customer service.
Here is the kicker, we just spent 30 K at Home Depot in Foley, AL this year alone, probably enough to pay this employees salary! Since this employee Diane decided to basically accuse my wife of opening a package, putting something else in it, then taping it back Lowe's will get our 30 K next year!!! I may still consider further action over this situation created by this employee of the Foley, Alabama Home Depot, mind you in front of other customers.
I bet a good attorney might have a case of slander or defamation of character here! She had no right to make assumptions. If she had proper training, she would know how the seasonal packages come in the first place. Based on this experience it is safe to say the Foley, Alabama Home Depot has numerous management issues as well as one very rude employee!! Funny thing there is a Lowe's right next to Home Depot. Thank you Lowe's, I am sorry I ever went to Home Depot in Foley, Alabama in the first place!

We ordered a dishwasher online via Home Depot over a month ago. When we ordered it we were given a delivery date that was 2 weeks from our purchase date. We were given a 4-5 hour delivery window that we stayed home for. Were told we would be given a call 30 mins before delivery. Delivery window passed and no call. We called Home Depot and they told us our dishwasher wasn't even delivered to the warehouse yet so couldn't possibly be on the delivery truck. Major miscommunication on their part. We were given a 2nd delivery date with no delivery again. The delivery company called and told us our dishwasher wasn't even manufactured yet! We called Home Depot AGAIN. The 1st customer service representative said they couldn't help us because we ordered our product online.
We called online customer service and the first person blamed the situation on the manufacturer and said they couldn't help us. Never once said sorry or offered any kind of solution. The 2nd customer service representative had an attitude with us and passed us onto yet another person. We still haven't found a resolution and still do not have our dishwasher. Home Depot is still holding our money as well. We used gift cards to purchase this item and don't even want to give our money to Home Depot going forward. Please do not buy any Home Depot gift cards if you like the person you are giving it to. Also, DO NOT order anything online. Honestly, don't shop at Home Depot in general. Their customer service is some of the worst we have experienced. It's Amazon and Lowe's for us moving forward!

This is the first online review I have ever made and wish I had read the other reviews on this site before purchasing an appliance from Home Depot. I will NEVER shop there again. They scheduled a delivery, notified both my daughter and me of the delivery date/time (in fact still have it as today in their system when I call their automated system)... I’d still be waiting at my daughter’s house for a delivery if I hadn’t called to request they call me (rather than my daughter who is out of town) with the 30 min notice they told us they would give us.
After several calls, several different levels of supervisors- Jonathan ** and Ann **- , multiple times that they lost connection, 1.5 hours, the story seems to be that it was the “Home Depot Home Delivery Team” that sent the multiple texts/calls saying that the appliance would be delivered between 10:30-2:30. It wasn’t until I called that they contacted the “3rd party delivery agency” who told them the item had not been loaded on the truck and was still back at their warehouse.
Despite the fact that I had driven an hour based on their texts to be there in time for the delivery (which by that time they should have known was not on the truck) they refused to take any steps to call the “3rd party delivery agency” to pick up the appliance and deliver it today (so that I did not have to drive an additional 2 hrs, with no guarantee that they’d have the product on the next truck). I spoke to at least 6 people, including 3 supervisors... one was ruder than the next. Ann finally agreed she’d call the delivery, put me on hold at which point I was disconnected.
The next person I spoke to at the deliver number, a Tom (who said he had no employee ID number), took over 5 minutes to read what was happening, said nothing could be done, refused to connect me to a supervisor and hung up the phone. I called the general customer service line, and while both Kelly and Chris were courteous, they thought I should talk to the “customer care” line and the first of the two transferred me without knowing that the “customer care” line is only open M-F 9-5 and the second was going to until I let him know they were closed. I asked him to cancel the order and credit my AMEX Account, which he said would take 7-10 days (sure didn’t take them that long to charge me). I would give the whole company, especially the CEO, Home delivery and customer service departments a BIG FAT ZERO, if that had been an available rating.

Seriously, they did not mention that some parts were wrong, or too short or whatever. The installation crew just left without saying a word. I paid for all parts, and I did not receive all the parts. Made a purchase using the Home Depot card on an "Interest Free Promotion", no interest charges if paid before expiration date. One month prior to deadline made a minimum payment to revolving balance then made separate payment in full to pay off the interest free balance and called them to verify the extra payment was applied correctly. Two months later find out they said promo balance wasn't paid on time and was charged about $400 interest then plus another $400 error that was added to the bill which no one can explain.
So they credit the $400 interest back onto another promo balance so they can continue charging interest on the revolving balance, and they still show $400 extra (error on their end) on the revolving that no one can explain or seem to correct. After 4 calls from the wife, who is on the account, they say they all of a sudden, they can't correct the account until they verify with the original cardholder, yours truly. While I can't hold Home Depot accountable for the product quality itself, their lack of customer service was truly Astounding! Do NOT EVER purchase anything of any importance through homedepot.com because getting answers on it will be a runaround and when you try to reach out about the problems, you will be disconnected and hung up on simply because no one wants to deal with the horrible service that you had. This is NOT customer service. Could not get answers from anyone when my products were damaged and not getting delivered, had to wait for refund and then reorder and deal with getting the same price I originally ordered, they split up my order in small orders and messed up the financing.
The store accepted damaged product, everything about it was a hassle and on top of it the quality was poor and when I called to express my concerns, I was literally hung up on and had their employees also disconnect my chats simply because no one wanted to deal with it or do anything to rectify the situation. We purchased a dryer last week and the delivery service was terrible! (Feel free to skip the details and read the punch line at the end.). The day before arrival, an automated service left a message saying that the appliance would arrive between 12 am and 12 am. (Now that's a long time window!) We were also told that the delivery person would call us approximately 30 minutes before arrival at our house. I called Home Depot to inquire about the long delivery window. It was difficult to reach a human being when office hours were closed after 5 pm. After being told that the delivery window was 12 pm-4 pm, I took time off work to be at home. When the time window passed with no phone call, I called dispatch again and was told that the window was shifted to 2 pm-6 pm without notifying me.
Closer to 6 pm, I received a phone call from dispatch saying that the person already came and went, because nobody answered the door. This is of course impossible, because I was sitting near the door the whole time! They offered me an alternative delivery time -- several days after Christmas(!). I declined and told them to stuff it. The punch line is, I called Home Depot and cancelled the whole thing, They processed the return, and I bought an appliance elsewhere for a similar price, for delivery the following day. Needless to say, I will never order an appliance from Home Depot again. Most people's time is too valuable for such nonsense.

We tried to use the manufacturer's warranty, but they refused to support their product either. They repeatedly failed to show up for appointments to repair it, and did not bother to call. So super impressed (sarcasm???) of the way Home Depot does business. So here’s what happened... Our stove went out 2 days before Thanksgiving so on Wednesday November 21 we went to Home Depot to buy some new appliances. Not just the stove but the whole package which even with “Black Friday“ deals is still expensive. Ok so we’ve got our stuff picked out and purchased (which by the way took over an hour??? Mind you we had already had everything picked out before we got there) so everything is purchased and set for delivery which was set for December 20... a whole month! Ridiculous in the first place but fine whatever. It is what it is.
So we are getting ready to leave and I asked the sales lady to check to make sure she ordered the correct color... Guess what. She didn’t so we have to cancel and get a refund on the first order which you would think would be quick but of course it’s not so that’s done. Now we have to go through the whole order process again. But good news. It’s going to be delivered earlier December 13 yay!! Well fast forward to December 12 at 6 pm we get a automated phone call saying our stuff wouldn’t be delivered tomorrow but January 10th because our stuff is on our back order. So we called Home Depot asking what is going on and why are we just getting a phone call the day before it’s supposed to be delivered. The lady on the phone says it’s common but everything will be delivered on January 10th.
By this point we are very upset at what is going on. 10 minutes later we receive a phone from Home Depot trying to explain more what’s going on. Come to find out our stove is in, but we can’t get that which is what we really need, the fridge and dishwasher will be in on January 16th and the microwave will be in on February 12th!!! What?? None of those dates are January 10th??? So why were we told we would be getting everything on January 10th??? So we have to wait 3 months for appliances that were supposed to be here in 3 weeks which by the way were in stock when we ordered them. I’m not sure if this is normal business practices or what but I can tell you we have spent a lot of money at Home Depot and they just lost a loyal customer. #homedepot #notimpressed #pissedoff #stillnostove.

I went on Home Depot's website to get the pricing for renting a 14" concrete saw. The picture for the tool w/ the pricing showed the blade attached to the tool. The pricing for 4 hrs was $55 so I go to the store to rent it. I get to the store to pick up the saw & I'm asked if I want to rent or buy the blade? I was confused. I asked what the sales rep meant. Again, I was asked if I wanted to rent or buy the blade. So I asked was the blade not attached to the machine and was told no. And that I would either have to rent the blade for $49 or buy one for over $100+. I about lost my mind. I told the rep that the picture showed the blade attached & made no mention about having to rent the blade separately. To rent the entire machine was $55, but the blade was $49, what a scam. No point in renting the machine w/o the blade.
Then I asked when the 4 hr rental time would start & the rep told me as soon as my card got processed. I told him that I lived 34 mins away so by the time I got the machine out of the store, in my truck, drove home and just drove back to the store that was over an hour lost not using the equipment. He didn't care. So while the website said $55 for 4 hrs rental the actual cost was $122 for just over 2 hrs of the machine being in my possession and about 30 mins of use. What a scam of not renting the entire machine and all of its parts as one. I won't even go into the vinyl siding install that Home Depot did on my home. Try Lowe's! Early in the spring of last year, I purchased California Shutters from Home Depot. I was pleased with the product Maxxmar Vinyl Shutters. This past fall I decided to finish off the first floor foyer with the same Shutters. I should preface by saying, trying to get ahold of a representative was unusually hard. I should have stopped there! But, I managed to get an appointment with Trish **. A very pleasant and knowledgeable woman. She outlined several viable options. I opted for a high end product and was pleased with both the product and installation done by Kerry. I did not hesitate to trust these people with the small job of finishing up by matching Shutters for my foyer.
The second installation was small and I left the salesperson and installer to it. Once the installer had left, I realized the second Shutter installation frames did not match the first. I called the 877 number who referred me to the salesperson. I called the salesperson who referred me to the installer. I called the installer who did not answer his phone. I emailed the salesperson who referred me to the PC support people. I waited a week and called the PC support where Marcie said she would get back to me that afternoon. Several days later, after not hearing a word from anyone, I called head office and talked with Yahadi who gave me a ticket number and said someone would be in touch within 48 hours and if not the complaint would be escalated.
After 48 hours, I recalled head office and spoke with Zara who had a file but no clue as to what the issue was and then referred me back to Marcie. That was unproductive. Marcie gave me Luigi number to call. He did not answer his phone. I called head office back where the complaint was finally escalated and I spoke to Dean who informed me this was an issue that needed to be handled by the salesperson and installer but he would see what he could do and call me back Monday morning.
If it sounds like one sad circle of passing the buck you would be correct. Let's see if Dean calls back and if he has any suggestions for resolution. It is now day 31 since installation. I have been renovating for over two years and have spent over $50,000.00 dollars at Home Depot. If that does not matter to Home Depot customer service, I doubt smaller purchases even register. It has been over a month. They were quick to take my money and very slow to establish the smallest amount of customer service...a phone call! I remain cautiously optimistic. Will report back... You may want to try Home Hardware...customer service matters there!!!

Ended up contacting a store manager in person to request assistance (kudos to Jen). Was offered a discount on a vacuum purchased in store, with free delivery. Questions that will forever remain unanswered - Home Depot did not have a record of my payment, I did. Who had my funds during this time? Money returned to account with a note "charges reversed". When a deal is too good to be true, pay MORE and not shop online at Home Depot. My experience in brief, one word - HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. 4 Hour window for delivery came and went without a call, not until we called customer service, taking over 45 minutes to conquer the robotics, did we learn driver was "delayed" and didn't know when he would arrive to deliver our range. NOW MIND YOU, our old range was disconnected in the morning by a HOME DEPOT contractor and sitting in the middle of our kitchen waiting for HOME DEPOT to pick up when they delivered our new range...
So after waiting 4 1/2 hours, and almost an hour to reach a person, finally being transferred to a "resolution specialist" - was told the only resolution was to wait until December 7th for the next delivered, today is NOV 27. In short, not that HD cares, they SUCK and have seen my last dollar. And if anyone at HOME DEPOT reads this review, I'm from New England, a New England Patriots fan, and even more satisfied today that Arthur Blank's football team chocked in the super bowl to the Patriots, and love seeing the look on his and his wife's face on the sidelines, your team SUCKS just like your company.

Was told someone would come between 8am and 5pm, measurer showed up at 5:30 and was there for 2 hours. I set it up for my home and my mother in law suite attached, which consists of 5 bedrooms, 2 living areas and 2 sets of stairs. Measurer took it upon himself to separate them into 2 orders, which has confused everyone since.
Then I get the quote, which has install fees on it. when I ask why, they said because of the carpet picked, it doesn't qualify. go into the store, yet again to find a way to resolve this, am told to pick out another style carpet and Home Depot will eat the difference in cost, so I picked the cheapest carpet with sales person and am told the next day that they can't eat the cost but can meet me in the middle on the cost and can only give a $250 credit. Salesperson tells me that it will be installed within 7 days, he set it for rapid install. That means I been dealing with this nightmare for going on 4 months. Unbelievable!!! I was told their COS was handling this and under his watch the replacement order was cancelled. When you try to call to talk to the manager another customer specialist intervened and assured me that it was being handled!!! I’m at my wits end with this company.
WHATEVER YOU DO DON’T ORDER CABINETS FROM THIS LOCATION. SAVE YOURSELF THE MAJOR HEADACHE OF DEALING WITH THESE PEOPLE! Being lied to over and over again. It's been over 2 months without a kitchen. Waiting on this cabinet to be replaced for them to pick up the wrong one delivered so I can install countertops!!! My contractor has long moved on too!!! SMH!!! The COS stated that the replacement cabinet “should” be here by December 18, 2018. This is a true story.
Original Review: My horror story! After ordering a set of 7 Hampton Bay cabinets in white approximately the 1st week in October. All were delivered after 3 weeks of waiting to come in and a week of complaining because the cabinets sat in the back of the store for some unknown reason. My contractor finally started to install the cabinets. Were unwrapped from cardboard and 5 of the 7 installed when he realized the 30x34 5x24 W10 Hampton Pot cabinet #1002352717 was the wrong style.
Here it is almost December and I’m still waiting on the replacement cabinet!!! For some reason my replacement cabinet order was cancelled! Do not order anything from Home Depot Store #2554 Oxon Hill MD. I haven’t had a kitchen for 2 months!!! Incompetence, laziness or just doesn’t care about customer satisfaction. At this point I am ready to rip out installed cabinets, return to HD and start over. After taking them to court to recoup installation cost!

I ordered 2 Samsung laundry pedestals and a Whirlpool microwave on sale through the online sales from the Chesapeake VA Home Depot on 11/9/2018 and paid with PayPal in the amount of $592. I received an online receipt for the order from HD and also from PayPal. On 11/12/2018 I received an email from Home Depot that they canceled the order due to PayPal declining to pay the billed amount. Home Depot enclosed a copy of the invoice they presented PayPal which showed $259 per pedestal instead of the $128 sale price and $449 for the microwave instead of the sale price of $298.
I contacted online sales and re-ordered the same items, again for $592 and this time paid with Visa. HD told me they could no longer make my promised delivery date of 11/14/2018 when my plumber was scheduled. However, the pedestals (which were supposed to be delivered by truck with the microwave) were delivered late 11/14 by UPS and installed 11/16. Late 11/16, I noticed 2 huge boxes in my driveway which were a 2nd set of pedestals. Home Depot doubled my order and has collected $592 from both PayPal and Visa for a total of $1184. I called several times late 11/16 and each time online sales or the Chesapeake store refused to accept the emails that detailed the transactions and refused to rectify the situation.
I am elderly and in poor health and cannot afford to lose $592 - and I still don't have the microwave. This is my fault in that I had a terrible experience with this same store's online sales last August. I ordered a dishwasher and a refrigerator to be delivered and paid to have an old refrigerator removed. I was assured the delivery men would remove doors from the refrigerator if necessary to get inside and install. Instead the drivers informed me they had a 10-minute window and would not remove my old refrigerator. They broke my solid wood kitchen door when they took it off its hinges. I paid $259 for a replacement door, $60 for a new lock and door handle, $150 for labor, and $40 for someone to haul off the old refrigerator. I should have gone to Lowe's but they did not have the laundry pedestals in stock. Home Depot makes it virtually impossible to resolve any issue with online sales.

A professional will be available within 48 hours of your product arrival to complete the installation.”
Received faucet on November 9, 2018. Received telephone message from installer on November 9, 2018. Returned call that day, was told the first appointment available was November 16, between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Told scheduler I was not happy with the date and time and quoted the 2 day time frame on the HD website. Scheduler replied, “That is only for water heater installations, (which is their primary business). I called installer again on November 15th to ask if they could narrow down the 5 hour window on the 16th, and was told by this new scheduler that I had no appointment scheduled for the 16th at all! Now the soonest available time for my faucet install was November 26th!! I did not make this appointment. I contacted the Home Depot Installation Department, On-Line Orders Department and Customer Service Department several times for assistance. After 2 days, no one was neither willing nor able to help me with this outrageous treatment from their contracted installer. The Home Depot did not seem to care that their own web-site explicitly detailed 2 day installation after receiving merchandise, (faucet), nor did they seem to be in a position to make THEIR contracted installers treat customers courteously and professionally.
I ultimately canceled my order for installation through Home Depot and contacted a local plumber in my community with a 5 star rating to install my faucet on November 19th. My local Home Depot store is pretty great, but I recently had a bad experience ordering a product online. The product was a ClosetMaid Top Shelf, which is a laminate board for closet systems. Before ordering, I knew that laminate boards chip easily, but I'd purchased the last boards from my local store and still needed more, so I ordered them from HomeDepot.com.
Despite my concern about the boards chipping during the shipping process, they arrived in even worse shape than I had feared. That's because they arrived without any packaging support and were merely wrapped together using plastic wrap. The plastic wrap had worn through and was torn from every edge, so that it was barely hanging on in the middle. The delivery guy apologized, without me even saying anything, but multiple reviewers on HomeDepot.com have had the same experience, so I'm certain the problem is with how Home Depot packages the items.
I mentioned this in my review of the product on HomeDepot.com, but my review was rejected, supposedly for not following their guidelines. So, I wrote another review, making sure that I followed their guidelines to a tee, but it was also rejected, as well as a 3rd review, so that's why I'm here. These are nice boards, but Home Depot not only packages them poorly, but it's also apparent that the problem persists because Home Depot refuses to acknowledge the problem.

Home Depot then referred case to their claims manager Sedgwick who has had all the documents since the end of October 2018 and they have been unresponsive (not answering emails or telephone calls). This behavior is very unprofessional and will be reported to the State Attorney General office. My fiancee and I decided to use Home Depot to purchase nearly $10k worth of products for a home we are renovating and moving into. The last items we invested in were kitchen cabinets, counters and appliances. At first, everything seemed great. We really liked the man who helped us design and everything appeared to be going well... Then we find out he was incorrect about the price he quoted us and it would cost $2000 more! What? How does that happen? It also turned out we were getting THE WRONG CABINETS, not what we ordered. So, we had to have that cancelled.
This began weeks of miscommunication and incompetent service. This lovely man seemed to make huge mistakes at every turn. Also, we would be told one thing one day, only to find out the next day something completely different. We currently have NO KITCHEN. We were initially told it would have the cabinets in 2 weeks. Suddenly, we are told, no, it's two weeks until they are shipped and could be up to another two weeks to have it delivered. What!?
After more mistakes, never being able to get through to anyone, having one person tell us one thing and someone else tell us another, we finally thought we were in the clear and were told our cabinets would be delivered by Dec. 2. Okay, only a couple weeks later than we'd thought. The very next day we are told, no, they will ship on Dec. 2 and it could be 5-7 weeks before they are delivered! And, btw, these are still not the actual cabinets we had initially ordered. We decided to go ahead with these because we were told they would come sooner than the other cabinets would, which had initially been weeks before. Suddenly, we are both not getting the cabinets we wanted, but it will be potentially MONTHS LONGER than we'd ever been told.
We will now be moving into a house with NO KITCHEN over the holidays. BTW, we have to wait for the cabinets to be installed before we can even ORDER the countertops, which will take at least ANOTHER TWO WEEKS. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the countertops took two months. I will NEVER shop at Home Depot again and will likely be pursuing legal action. These people lie straight to your face and take your money while they do it.

The refrigerator builds up ice inside the door which pushes the door slightly open, not enough for the alarm to go off. And fruit flies are also getting in the freezer. The washer leaks water when you open it because the gasket has a hump in it. Suppose to be flat. The water is suppose to drain back into the washer, not out. This place lies to you and screwed with your life. I had a defective toilet, been using it for about 9 months. I didn’t really know how to proceed with it since I never had a broken toilet before. So I went to the store and asked if I can get an exchange or refund. They told me they could only do store credit. I said fine, so I bought a new toilet, and asked them if it’s ok to bring back the old one after I get the new one installed, they said sure. They made it clear I will only get store credit. I said again, that’s fine.
After paying my plumber and get the new one out in, I took back the old one nicely packed. Then they say, "Oh no, we can’t take it back." I said I was promised they will give store credit that’s why I bought a new one and dragged this heavy stuff from home to here. Still, didn’t care. Now the manufacturer will exchange my old toilet. But what am I supposed to do with two new toilets? I only bought the new one because I was promised to get a store credit. They denied that what I was promised, and told me the last person was wrong. Well how is it my problem? Your own store employee was wrong especially she talked to a supervisor as well that day. This is totally messed up, misleading, and not good business practice. In a sense, I felt this is a new version of switch and bait. This needs to be fixed.

We used Home Depot's subcontractor, High Definition Bath Solutions located in Anaheim, CA. We are located in Northern California. The crew who did the install on our bathroom made many mistakes that I caught since the project manager is never on site, in fact they manage projects remotely, 400 miles away. It took a lot of grief and complaining to get anything fixed and the 2 week tiny bathroom remodel project, still isn't resolved 3 months later! WE HAD A NON-FUNCTIONING BATHROOM 2 MONTHS!!! The customer service at this company is the worst I’ve ever experienced, the way the project manager spoke to me was so disrespectful. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. It was a horrible experience that haunts me every time I look at my crooked tile job. Poor craftsmanship, lazy customer service, and no supervision on the project site.

Never again. Beyond the customer service and quality of brand, Home Depot has become the McDonald’s of chain stores for home services. It took over 2 weeks for a Dishwasher to be scheduled only to be told I may have to wait another month before seeing it. Add calling an associate to request a refund I was told she was too busy to call the manufacturer and have it cancelled. Called the manager and he couldn't give me a turnaround time for when he will call to have it completed. I use to always vouch for Home Depot as the traditional home services store and I will never go back again. Lowe’s will have my service going forward. The reviews are already poor on Home Depot so, this shouldn't be new information going out into the world.

Our hot water tank installation was a nightmare! The first hot water tank didn't work and the installer was very rude and damaged our from stairs taking the tanks in and out of the house. Then some the solder joints leaked and I woke up the next morning to a flooded basement. This was a year ago March and I have not had any reimbursement for the distress and damage my daughter and I have had to deal with. We couldn't lift the soaking wet boxes of clothing and fabric, and everything in our storage room including part of a unique record collection was ruined. Twice the plumbing company that they set up to fix the problem went out of business before they came to do the work. We had to wait several months before someone finally came and fixed the shoddy installation.
I contacted the store, customer service, and installations several times, and when I finally got in touch with someone that could do anything about getting this resolved they deflected back by saying that this happened long time ago as if it was my fault for not getting in touch sooner. If you are going to get Home Depot to install anything I would ask what company is doing the installation and get several references from that company before you let any Home Depot installations take place in your home.

I had my Pergo flooring ordered in Home Depot at Downers Grove, IL. The female in charge of installation named Terri and her boss named Nitch. All my floor installation, the contractor didn’t use any silicone or foam rod to seal the perimeter which they suppose to do so. When they installed my stairs they cut through the drywall and messed up my newly painted wall leaving me a few long huge gaps along the stairs. And they told me that the cuts were there covered by stringers. I told them that there were no stringers ever. And they asked me if I do understand the English word “stringer”. The contractor and manager Terri did nothing but denying laughing at me.
This is racial discrimination. They not only messed up the $1300 stairs but also disrespect themselves. I don’t see any reason I will continue to shop at Home Depot anymore. They are nothing but a bunch of **. The I got the email, telling that the cuts were covered by the carpet and I couldn’t see. But I am the one who pulled all the carpet out and paint the wall. No one is helpful in resolving the issue at the store, and have spent several hours making calls to their customer care line. Even they can't get things right!!... They reordered the one cabinet, and after clearly giving them my correct address, about an hour into the call, I spoke with a phone manager who told me the cabinet was being sent to Arizona...I live in Michigan. How nuts!
Their online order site is really screwed up too. The kitchen guy couldn't navigate it during the order, so it took him over an hour. I have kept on through the Decatur Home Depot which is a nightmare and I called a lady at Indoor Comfort and she said the man is on vacation which was another man's name she said he would be back Oct. 15 and then I called to ask the time he was to come out and it was not the man they said.
Then I talked with the Service Manager and he came today and he did several things but he said he was going to have to get the installation team come to check that far back flex for the kitchen where barely any air coming out and he swore he could fix it. It has been a run around through Home Depot which they sell you on that. Home Depot backs it 3 years and now this so called manager says by law there is just so much they can do.
So I call Atlanta and get a case number and let's see if that will work. If not the FTC is going to get a call from me and file a complaint. I'm sick of this mess plus while he was here today he got another call of an installation having trouble on an older home. So watch what you do. I have warranty papers and certificates and everything but is it worth the paper it is written on. Brand new unit and all the guts of the unit to distribute is new. That kitchen vent worked before. There was only one elderly gentleman working at the “Service Counter.” He could not even see his computer screen. He was trying to help another couple for about 20 mins. I do not mind waiting, but this is excessive for an online PICKUP.
I could have gone in the store 3 times, purchased the item, and checked out. Instead, I had to resort to speaking to a floor supervisor who was not polite or helpful. He and another man made a call and said that the service counter "is apparently not moving fast enough for me.”. I asked the man if he could walk next door and retrieve my drill for me. He said he couldn’t and proceeded to take a customer that walked up. He even had them step around me instead of being helpful.
I wait at the Service Center for another 5 minutes, and Tonya appears to help me. Oh boy is she excited about it! I explained my situation again and she was unhelpful. Then, a Lift Operator named Ashley who was the MOD came over to me and gave me no good reason. She said it was a common complaint across the company. They suggested that I get a plumber to do it and refunded the installation charge. This is an incredibly simple job. It requires two pilot holes drilled into the cabinet sides and 2 screws. The installers seemed happy that they did not have to do the work. Home Depot needs to get a new installation company. This is ridiculous. Shortly thereafter we noticed no improvement. Large pooling, sitting water. After several complaints we were told they would re-do the work but would have to wait until the following Spring because of the onset of winter. Since March 2018 we have been trying to get this done --- a lot of passing the buck. We have spoke to numerous people - poor feedback and referrals to different people. Someone called and said that "pooling" is normal? We were incredulous but if they knew this then they certainly should've said so and not taken our money! Ordered Bruce hardwood floors from Home Depot and it was a nightmare from the beginning. The installers cancelled the appointment the night before after I had submitted time off from work. Installers arrived the following Saturday and neither one of the two installers spoke English. Every time I had a question or concern I was given one of their mobile phones to communicate to their manager. Workmanship was poor and they had to come back a few weeks later to tear up and reinstall some boards. On top of that the flooring is an inferior product and they had to come back a third time to remove boards which had jagged holes in it, splintered wood and a rough finish.
I continued to call my local Home Depot in Marlboro, NJ and the manager would not take my calls. The install department was more accommodating and I requested that an independent inspector come out to evaluate the floors. It was determined that the holes, divots, roughness was characteristics of the floor and there was nothing I could do. My granddaughter got two splinters in her feet from the wood and if you wear socks on the floors it grabs your socks. We now have to wear shoes in our bedroom in order to avoid the above. The wood samples we received from Home Depot were not indicative of the wood we got; we would have never ordered it. Customer Service is awful and spent $6000 on floors we absolutely hate. Will probably have to spend more money to engage an attorney to pursue on our behalf.

Tried calling both the Stanford Ranch and Roseville CA stores to find the status of my order and was hung up on at least three times at each store. I asked to speak to a management team member at each store (11:00 AM) and each store replied their manager was at lunch and no other manager was on duty. After reading some of the reviews they almost appear to be vindictive. I never really write reviews, however after reading some of these, I feel it is necessary to relate my experiences. On 14 October I went looking for a 4 door french Samsung fridge. I checked out everyone all day long and when checking out Home Depot I was advised that not only was their price the lowest, they would guarantee lowest price plus 10% cheaper. I found the fridge I wanted at Lowe's for 3698 but it was damaged back and front and although listed at 3600 I was able to talk them down to 3000 delivered, however that was a damaged unit. Then Rona had a buy 2 of same brand and save the taxes which is basically a 12% discount.
I then went back with their offer to the very nice lady at Home Depot, she confirmed my paperwork and applied the discount to the fridge plus the additional 10% and free shipping. It was a very smooth transaction, no arguing or fine print just matching the lowest price I found plus an additional 10% off. I was given a choice of delivery dates which were confirmed 3 times by text/phone call and even received a phone call from them confirming my measurements for the larger than normal fridge would fit.
On the confirmed delivery date I received a call 15 minutes ahead of truck arrival and they arrived with my fridge boxed 15 minutes later as promised. The fridge was boxed upon arrival and was unboxed in my presence, the truck remained on the street so not to mark up my custom tinted driveway and they carefully carried the fridge of 175 kg (380 pounds) by straps into my house.
Never have I had a better purchase and delivery service then what I received from Home Depot. The fridge I purchased was $4242.41 delivered along with a cheap dishwasher for my guest suite. All in all I saved $945 compared to other brand stores including Costco I might mention. Both my wife and I were so impressed with the sale and exceptional service that we went looking for a new wall oven and found one at Leon's on sale for $99 cheaper than Home Depot. Needless to say back to Home Depot, with different sales associate and a savings of $445 with oven to be delivered on this coming Friday.
Like I said previously I do not write reviews, however after over 32 years in Law Enforcement I see how people twist and turn things around to benefit their side, including threats of listing a poor review. I was not asked to write this review, however after reading some of these reviews they really appear to be self-serving, if you read between the lines. So be a proper investigator, judge for yourself and see what Home Depot offers in regards to their price match policy and service. I saved on all three items or both orders the sum of $1,390 and if you consider that I would have paid 12% on top of that for tax it comes to over $1,550. This is now my first review and probably my last, I only wrote it because of all the negative reviews which you do not have to be an experienced trained investigator to see the real reason they are posted.

More conversations and I was assured the order would come the next day, Wednesday and still nothing. I went online to track the order and it had been moved to Thursday so I waited, again the order did not arrive and the online order had been moved again to Friday.
Not one call to me about bumping the order. Sorry does not work when you've paid upfront and receive no service. No explanation was given, unable to track who was changing the orders and all I got was sorry. I refuse to use a company that is unable to communicate with its customers. Trying to reach a resolution team member or customer care member is impossible and I've been left on hold for what seems an eternity. I recommend ordering from a store that cares about its patrons. Do not order anything from Home Depot.

I was given recommendations by Home Depot through Pro Referral to paint a home I had just bought. The home is 3 stories with hardwood on the first and second levels. The painter I chose, through the Home Depot referral service, ruined my hardwood floors with paint and severe scratches. I called the Home Depot customer service line to complain and the service agent said to me "it is not Home Depot's fault, you didn't have use them!" I was very disappointed with the response.

Maritime West Construction was hired through Home Depot to do our front porch renovation. It was to be completed in June 2018. It is October 2018 and still completely a mess of unfinished work. Pictures are available if needed. We were having this done for a special event at our home which they were aware of. We were told the job would take 2-3 days. Rob (head contractor of Maritime West) did not come to our home until HD sent our case to the Escalation management boss in Toronto. This manager was argumentive and almost calling us responsible indirectly. Eventually he listened and contacted Rob from Maritime West Consrtuction.
Rob then came to our home and agreed that the job his crew did was terrible and even out of code. He then went forward to say that we would need to spend approx. 2000$ more for the job to be completed properly. Important point here to know is that the contract was for $8700 and all details were in this and obviously not completed... AND we did not sign contract for completion. We made it clear that we would not be investing more money. Since then Toronto manager and Rob have not contacted us. So we went back to Home Depot in Calgary and manager tried to help but said that Richard in Toronto must help us. He has been avoiding my husband's call by being unavailable or on another call.
At this point Rob has been paid for the job through Home Depot and HD is not helping us. Rob had said when he came to our home that he had bigger jobs that needed to be completed before our porch would be touched after we signed new contract for more money. Very sad that we even have to write this as we have been so patient and having integrity through all of this.
