I purchased a brand new set (washer & dryer) in August 2013. Since then, the washer agitator has broken twice and the dryer door had to be serviced twice as it was failing to close properly. Then last week the dryer emitted a burning smell and completely stopped working. Haier is complete junk, their only possibly use would be as an artificial reef. I will never buy another Haier product & wish I had done some research before purchasing them. Learned a valuable lesson.

I will never buy another Haier washer again. I replaced the main board last year with a cost of 545.00 only to have the same main board break again. The cost would have been another 354.00. It would have cost more than the original price of the washer!! Haier wouldn't give me any satisfaction, compensation, or $$.

Purchased small apartment size stackable washer and dryer. Washer is not bad but the dryer has been nothing but a headache. The dryer never fully heats to dry a load in under an hour! Now it is making the most horrible noise (actually drowns out all sounds in my apt.) in addition to not heating properly. When you try to get customer service you end up talking to someone who does not have full command of the English language. DO NOT PURCHASE.

Most unhappy with Encore washer bought @ Conn's Denton,Tx. Became inoperable. Repairman cost? $80 to determine cause. 2nd trip repair- part & 2nd? $80 (astronomical/disastrous to me/very limited $). Short time - is doing same. Feeling betrayed - no $ to repair again. Used 1- 2 loads week, if that. No recommendation possible. So sad.

HW70-1279 - I had bought this new machine on 8th February 2014 from FAIRDEAL ELECTRONICS 26A, K Block, Raja Puri, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi-59 on the advice of Mr. ** in exchange of my IFB washer in which main motor was burnt. I had to pay 4800/- for the motor otherwise everything was well repaired will mostly new parts. I took decision to exchange my IFB with this Haier machine and since then I am not at peace. It was shaking at the time of demo but MR. ** who came for installation told me it is normal. After few days it started making kit-kit noise. I complained but they told to me it is not a problem it is normal. Slowly it increased and again they came and started figuring out but were not able to. Then I told its base plate is loose probably pl tight it and after they did it brace less noisy but noise was still coming.

After some time it started shaking and jumping like frog and when I called service person they came and they saw and admitted but said, "I had fixed its belt now and now it will not shake." But it were shaking same way. One day it made a different sound and then I saw it was broken from inside completely. Rubber gasket were torn out. I was shocked. I made video and taken many pics. Now after complaining they came and said that they will repair it. They hardly bother what I am facing. I had bought machine for washing my clothes not for getting their machine serviced at my home.

Now whenever I try to call Mr. **, he gives his phone to others and others say he is not there. No one is bothers and thinking of serving to their customer. We all have decided not to buy Haier product from now on. But now our aim is to get out the mess created by Haier. Earlier I were thinking of replacement but now seeing their behavior of Mr. ** and service center I want refund so that I can buy other brand washer for my comfort.

I bought the first one in March of 2011. In June 2012, it stopped draining. After much argument, I was able to get a replacement under my warranty. I got the replacement June 28, 2012. On August 15, 2014, it stopped draining. I am so mad because Haier does not care about their customers. I think they sell sub-standard products and something should be done! I am in the process of discussing this with the store where I purchased the washer. I doubt they will do anything either. I will NEVER buy another Haier product!

We purchased Haier fully automatic washing machine, HWM60918NZP, after reviewing specification on Haier India official website from a dealer in Opera House, Mumbai. On Haier official website, it was mentioned that this product has 8 programs but demo person could not show this and tried to convinced us that 5 step wash includes 8 programs. We again checked website and then called for re-demo (complaint no **). Their technician Mr ** confirmed that this product does not have feature of 8 programs and it was in 7 kg machine. He mentioned that website was wrongly updated.

Being MNC and reputable company it is a gross error. I selected the machine after good search as I was impressed with the specification on the website, which weren't there in competitor product. I want that Haier should replace the machine which has the necessary features with no added cost as it was inadvertently (give them a chance) mistake of Haier.

I have purchased 2 washers in the past 18 month period. The first one the lid came apart and was malfunctioning in the rinse cycle. The second washer did the same thing. They sent a service man out to fix the lid as this was only the problem after purchasing it 4 months later. The service man didn't service it at all and told me I needed to give him my receipt in order to repair lid. Haier told me that all I needed to do was show him the receipt. I was not going to give him my ONLY original receipt. Also, he didn't have any replacement parts with him. I dealt with the lid until I recently had another problem when the washer was malfunctioning in the quick rinse cycle. (Same as the first washer)...

I contacted Haier and they told me that the service man put down that I misused my washer and overloaded it!! I was furious because that wasn't the case at all!! Then I went through 5 service calls and the first one they couldn't do it and that they rejected my area. The 2nd work # was given and that was the same place as the first 3. I called them back again and they gave me another work order 3 and that was decline because the company refuse to do work for them on the account they never mail them the correct parts and he has to fork up all the money first and they take their time to refund the money back. He told me it's a nightmare dealing with them!!

The 4th work order Haier gave me was to bring my washer 3 hours away to service!! Now I am really angry!!! Why couldn't they just give me another washer machine!! They told me that the one year warranty only covered parts and service. I am still waiting on the 5th work order 3 and call back from Haier. I will NEVER purchase anything from this company again.

So, in May, 2013, we purchased a brand new Haier set. We have three kids and three adults and just plain wore out our older front loads. We bought the top load set at Future Shop. Brought it home and to be perfectly honest, the machine was fantastic. We used it everyday for large loads but we noticed that the paint on the dryer drum was peeling off. On Jan 14, 2014, my wife called to complain about the dryer; although it still worked, it was leaving paint flakes on our clothes. They said they would have a service person come out and decipher it and fix it for us. Yay. So the next day we had a utility load to do, a couple of towels, a couple of rags and a mop head. My wife put them in and selected a lower load level.

An hour later, she went down to swap the load and the washer was still full and making grinding noises. I went down and took a look to see if the agitator had become loose or something silly had happened. Nope, in actuality, the washer DRUM had dropped about 2 to 2.5 inches and the whole thing was jammed. So I called Haier. I mean, it shouldn't have broke but meh, poop happens. Again, we got the same responses you all got, "get back to you in 3 to 5 days" so we waited. We called Future Shop who attempted to help us by calling Haier themselves and they got the same responses. Finally they told my wife, the diplomatic one, that they couldn't find a service provider in our area. We live in the city of Moncton NB. It's not a small town or suburb, we're right downtown.

We called Future Shop back and they called their service providers who informed them that Haier is known for slow to no pay. No one wanted to wait forever to get their money, understandably so but that is hardly our issue, we paid in cash for the machines. Future Shop informed us that they would be contacting them again to see what they could do for us as with 3 kids, one of which is potty training, our laundry is piling up. Finally, on Friday past, Haier was still procrastinating so Future Shop said, "I have a set here, I'll load them in the truck and send them over as replacements provided that Haier approves." Yeah, they have yet to approve.

Today's resolution, WE have to load the machines in our vehicle and take them back to Future Shop and get new Moffat machines from them while paying the difference in pricing. Future Shop has stood by their customer 1000%, they have bent over backwards to accommodate us and have a customer for life. Haier will NEVER be in my home again. I may just urinate in the machines before they ship them back to Haier. (after they are loaded of course. :)) DO NOT BUY THESE MACHINES UNLESS YOU PLAN ON FIGHTING WITH THEM FOR YOUR WARRANTY WORK. Good luck all. I hope you bought from a reputable retailer and purchased the extra warranty.

The dryer coating came off inside the drum. After 3 or 4 weeks they replaced the drum. It caught clothes between the dryer and frame. New service man worked on it and said the first man did not do it right. Then in a few loads it did it again and shredded clothes. Only service company will not come back for a week. When I call service company to get here sooner, I get voice mail. Seller, HH Gregg, will do nothing as they have only 30 day warranty. So we are under the Haier 1 year warranty.

I have only owned my machine for 6 months, and have had to call customer service 3 times to have it repaired. The customer service is the worst group of people I have ever met, and I fought the Nazis in WWII. For some reason, this ** product they put together is my fault for breaking, and have even been instructed to try and fix it myself. Instead of using quality product, they have opted for some kind of voodoo witchcraft to hold everything together. If they had decided to make the machine out of Sticky Tack and duct tape, it would have been an improvement. If this product line is your only option for washing clothes, I suggest you find a wash board and a local river, as the experience will be less painful.

A week before Christmas 2012 I purchased a Haier washer in Findlay, Ohio, replacing one that I had had for over 15 years. I am on a limited income so I went with the cheapest the store had. 2 months later it broke down... Called the company. They gave me a case number and contacted a repairman... Twice I was stood up by this repairman with no phone call to tell me he wasn't coming. The 3rd time he showed up he was rude but told me I needed a new part and he would get it ordered - it would take 10 days. Okay!! 2 weeks later, I call Haier and they tell me that the order was cancelled. The repairman didn't have time to fix my washer and canceled the whole thing.

After reopening the case they finally told me I would be getting a new washer and it would be an upgrade... Fine, great... It will be there by end of the week. 3 weeks later and so many phone calls I lost count because someone forgot to call and ask something, or they lost a paper, I finally got my washer. 6 MONTHS later, that machine quit working. It wouldn't spin out the water. So I open another claim. They set me up with a different repairman and schedule the appt. for 2 weeks away... Hmmm, I call the repairman. He was there the next day, ordered part and had it fixed within 10 days.

If I would have waited on Haier, he wouldn't have even been there yet. So you would think that it was all over. You would be wrong because 2 months later it broke again with the same problem as it was 2 months earlier. They are still giving me the runaround and informed me that after December, my warranty will be up when I purchased the original unit, not March when I received the new unit... PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HAIER!!!

On December 12, 2012, we purchased a new Haier Top Load Washer Model # RWT350AW from HH Gregg in Sanford, Florida. I was happy with our purchase until the unit started tangling and damaging our clothing in the wash cycle. This problem began occurring only 6 months after my purchase. Being in the service industry I understand that there are guidelines that need to be followed in order to have repair performed under a manufacturer's warranty. On June 19th, I called Haier's Warranty Services by phone. They stated that they were very sorry about my issue and would have a repair facility contact me and have the unit repaired.

As I waited to hear back for scheduling of this repair, and waited, and waited. This repair company was Rambs in Central Florida. Finally after many more calls to Haier, they came out with a new control board and installed it. Needless to say, this did not correct the problem. They advised me that they would come back and take my washer back to their shop and perform the repairs needed. This was not expectable.

After countless calls and emails to get a response from Rambs in regards to this problem, the only answer I would get was that they were waiting to hear back from Haier's Engineering Department. Of course nothing ever became of this. On September 2nd, I placed yet another call (#14) to Haier to request that another repair facility come out and look to see what was needed to repair my washer. This facility's name is All American also located in Central Florida. This company contacted me right away and set an appointment for the same week. The service man showed up on time and looked at what the washer was doing. To my amazement he stated that it was a normal characteristic for this washer to tangle clothes during the wash cycle and that he has seen it many times. What? It did not do this before. But he handed me their business card and left without making any attempt to repair my unit.

In total I have made 15 calls including today, September 5th, to Haier's Warranty Services and have gotten nowhere. They have escalated my calls every time. Now what? Class Action Suit? Small Claims Court? Does anyone have any recommendations?

My husband and I purchased a Haier washer and dryer in 3/2013. The set was delivered by HHGregg and installed by them. After 3 months of use, the dryer stopped heating! I contacted Haier America because the dryer is under warranty and they gave me a repair company name. I contacted the repair company (Ramb). They came out to fix the dryer. I was not home so my adult son was present. The repair guy turned the dryer on and they smelt rubber burning. After this issue, the prongs on the cord were scorched. He immediately unplugged the cord and tripped the breaker. The repair guy said that I needed to call an electrician.

I called the electrician to find out that it was going to cost me $89 for diagnostic testing! I called Haier again to find out if they would reimburse us for the electrician if there was not a problem with the outlet for the dryer since that is what the repair man said was the issue. Called Haier again because I had not heard about the reimbursement and they STILL did not have an answer and nor did they call me back like they said they were going to! Haier said that they were going to "escalate this issue" once again! After having the electrician come out and do the testing, he said that there is nothing wrong with the outlet or the cord and advised me to call the repair company again.

I did call repair company this morning, 8/21/2013, and the woman asked me if I had the electrician come out and what he said. I informed them that he said the outlet was fine and I needed to call them. She got back on the phone and asked if the electrician changed the plug and I said, "No, because according to Haier that would void our warranty." She got back on the phone and said that the cord was not covered under warranty and that I needed to contact the place that installed the dryer. I hung up with her and called HHGregg. The man that I spoke with was very nice and tried to help. He called Haier while I spent 30 minutes on hold waiting for him to come back.

When he got back on the phone he said that Haier did NOT have another repair company that they could refer me to and that they were sending an email to the "field supervisor" and that I needed to give them at least 72 business hours to get back to me. I informed the HHGregg man that Haier would not get back to me since I have been dealing with them "getting back to me" for the last 3 weeks! So, needless to say, we have this charge on our HHGregg card. We don't feel comfortable using a dryer that caused the prongs on a cord to scorch, cost of electrician, and no satisfaction with warranty company!

The next morning we ran a medium load, it seemed to take too long and the smell came back stronger. On the next load the water filled up, made a humming sound and would not go into the wash cycle and the smell was electrical. We waited about 10 minutes to see if it would go into the next cycle but it didn't. We unplugged it and called the 800 number. We were told they were sorry for our problem and there were no repair techs in our area but they would escalated our issue since it appeared there could be an electrical issue and to please unplug the machine. Someone would call us within 3 days! This machine didn't last 24 hours and who knows how long it will be to get it fixed after reading all the reviews! My washer dryer combo fell apart, completely, after owning it for 3 weeks. I called them and they tried to tell me they couldn't warranty it because I installed it myself. Then I called back and asked where on the user manual does it say that? Then they sent out a repairman. The repairman said he had no idea what was wrong but it seemed like a loose bolt from the factory started it. For the next two months I went back and forth with customer service. First waiting for engineering... They finally approved the warranty after a month. Then with validations, we went back and forth on that one for another month. Then they told me they sent a new one out. Then they didn't. Then they decided that engineering really didn't okay the warranty because it was installed incorrectly. I wrote to the BBB who have given it an F by the way, and they told them the warranty has been refused because of how it was installed.

How hard is it to install a washing machine? So I am taking them to small claims court. They are the worst corporation in America and shouldn't be allowed to do business here.

Now just a few mo. after the last SC I'm getting the E12 error. I called Haier and a rep said that it's not only a "Drain" error but some kind of electrical problem also! I want them to pick up this machine and either refund or give me a non-defective unit. Also the place I bought from "Living Direct" refuses any responsibility. I do believe if I had bought this unit from a reputable dealer, like Amazon (who does carry the unit now but didn't when I bought it) they would have replaced or refunded my money b/c this item itself is either defective or all the HW100 washer/dryer combo's need to be recalled.

Now I have to schlep my laundry up to the laundromat. Not happy at all :(

I was pretty happy with my purchase of a Haier washer and dryer, until 5 months after purchasing them. My dryer started squealing loudly any time it was turned on. The longer the unit was on, the quieter it got though, so we decided we would live with it. Then a thermal fuse blew. This is because the unit got too hot. We have proper venting. I consistently clear the lint filter and even vacuum in the space where the lint filter goes. I thought that this was odd, but we decided we would fix it ourselves. We completely tore the dryer apart. I vacuumed the entire inside of the dryer and cleaned the belt. We installed a new thermal fuse and we thought the problem was fixed.

Fast forward to 4 months later, and the thermal fuse blew yet again. We ordered the part, waited for it to arrive, installed it, checked the dryer for lint (there was nowhere near the amount in the dryer there was the last time the fuse blew), but I vacuumed it completely anyway, loaded the dryer with clothes, turned it on and in less than 10 minutes, the fuse blew again. Of course, we are outside of our warranty, but I will never buy another Haier product again. Haier, in my opinion, equals junk and I will not waste my hard-earned money on any of their products again. If I could give this dryer a "no star" rating, I would. Buyer beware. Please, spend your money on something better quality with a company that stands behind their products.

I purchased my Haier HWM1070KFL a little over 2 years ago. Just after the warranty ran out, I have had nothing but trouble ever since. I am still waiting for the technicians from F&P to resolve this. They don't seem to know much about the vagaries of this machine. It even comes up (sometimes) with an error that doesn't exist either in the manual nor is it logged at Haier - 0 E5 is what I sometimes get and it may or may not have something to do with Err 5 (a listed error number). Also, I now have to add water myself as it doesn't put enough in, not enough to even wet the clothes properly, let alone wash them properly.

Also, it doesn't seem to heat up the water prior to washing although the serviceman said it heats up whilst washing. Give me a break. Why would it heat AS it washes? I am totally over this and want to go to Consumer Affairs for shoddy workmanship. Out of warranty or not, you pay for a working machine and not for fixing up a badly-made machine. One expects wear and tear (though I only use it once a week and not even for long washing times). One does not expect bad merchandise. What happened to quality of sales of goods, i.e., it should work for at least a reasonable time such as 6 to 10 years?

Okay, so my great little Haier MLP23E 1.46 cubic feet washer has a crappy control board, and broke after only seven weeks. I got it online at Walmart. After using my experience as a service dispatcher and customer troubleshooter for an appliance company, I called the parts lady and she pulled up the schematics for the control board. The common problem is the water level sensor that controls large and medium water levels for this machine. It malfunctions and floods your floor. This is what happened in my case. Also, the unit would not switch to spin mode. The schematics show that the only place the water level sensor exists is on the "sequencer board". This is a $40 part.

The interesting thing is that Sears would come in a matter of days to fix it, but could not do it under warranty because I didn't buy it from them. Haier says that Sears is not an 'authorized' repair service and cannot fix it under their warranty. Haier then started their famous waiting game of 'finding an authorized repair service' for probably ever. So, do I mess around for months to save the money on a repair? Do I spend an amount almost equal to the purchase price to get it fixed in a timely manner? Or do I check with Sears to make sure they will warranty and service another one when it (inevitably) breaks? Sears has never been trustworthy for me either... Perhaps I will find a seller that services also, like Sears does.

The bottom line is this: HAIER WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. If I want this machine, I have to prepare for malfunctions (sequencer board, WD6290-03 - $39.27 at Encompass.com) and find my own quality repair people.

I bought the washer/dryer combo on September 28th, 2012, and it broke down on November 20th, 2012 well within the warranty period of one year. I called and was told they would find someone to work on it. I called every week for 4 months and was told it was in review, and they would let me know. I had to use my dad’s washer and dryer an hour away and called the last time in April. I was told there was no one in my area to work on the washer/dryer combo, and they could do nothing. I had to go and buy a new washer/dryer and bought a GE, a more common name so it could be worked on. I would not buy anything from them. You can only use a licensed person from their company to honor the warranty, and they only have people in New York and nowhere else in the United States. It is not worth the hassle and the expense to buy their products.

On 3/6/13, I called Haier and spoke with Jeff, a supervisor. He called online reviews smear campaigns and refused to service the defective machine. He gave me number for repair and then told me this unit was not meant to be portable! He said Living Direct should have not sold it to be portable! I asked him if that was the cause of the problem and he said he would not go so far as to say that but was going to report to LD and I told him I wouldn't have purchased the unit except for portability! On 3/5/2013, (Hello) it's not even been a year and the machine has broken down again! $800. Piece of junk! I'm so flippin' pissed I want you to come out and remove this junk from my house, also refund at least half my money. I did one load of clothes today and it worked fine. Then I did a crochet blanket.

I left my house briefly 15 minutes during the drying cycle and it was off when I returned. The light was off on the plug outlet. I thought the shaking from the machine pushed the button in. So I pushed it in restarted dry cycle. It was still wet, dripping wet! I did it again. Nothing. This is a piece of crap. And I told you because you sent out some amateur to fix it last time. What happens when it breaks again? I want someone to call me stat in the morning **. What are you going to do about this? You either fix free of charge or come pick it up and give me a new unit as this is a defective unit less than 2 years old. If not, I will contact a consumer lawyer and sue you for damages.

As you can tell, I'm really mad right now. My paperwork is attached at the bottom. You should have all the info except last time your techs did not enter the proper info! Here is the letter I sent to Haier customer service: I'm writing to you to detail the horrible time I had trying to get my HWD1000combo washer and dryer repaired. It was ordered on Jul 4/11 and it was shipped on 7/5/11. There was a mistake in ordering as they sent the unit without the portability parts that I paid for. The manager who I talked with sent the wrong parts out, so I had to wait more time until the right parts came to use my unit. So I wasn't able to use it after it got here on the 7/12/11.

On 6/27/12, the machine started making a grinding crunching noise during the dry cycle at 1:55. Let me state for the record when dealing with your employees at Haier, they have always been professional and courteous even when I was freaking out! When I told them my problem and how the unit would not turn off until I unplugged it, a customer service rep said they would get someone out here ASAP! She said under no circumstances to use the unit. They made an appointment with Appliance Repair Heroes ** for Jul 6 Fri noon-5pm. So the ARH called me and told me they can't make it on the 6th but will come on 7/9! So the guy came out, he was professional, checked the machine and said it needed part(s) and it will take 10 days to two weeks to come in. He did not leave any paperwork with me at all, so I don't know what part(s) he ordered or didn't order. It would be nice to know what he found wrong versus the A1 person?

So I waited. On or about 7/27, I called you guys and asked what was going on. The repairman had not uploaded any notes to my file. Your customer service rep tried calling and they are closed on Fridays. She said they would call on Mon. I heard nothing. I tried to call them the next week and no one answered. A few days later, I am put on hold for 7 minutes before I hang up. I called Haier again. The rep made a new appointment for Sat 8-12 for AI Discount Electronic. My boyfriend who recently moved was visiting me at the time. A ramshackle small pickup truck with a DIY (I'm not kidding here! Homemade camper shell with graffiti and Chinese writing all over it) pulled up. The guy is Chinese and can barely speak English. He decided to run the whole wash cycle even though I told him it was during the dryer cycle at 1:55.

He asked if my boyfriend is my husband. Maybe he was just trying to make conversation but we both found it rude and frankly none of his business! He used the restroom two times. His voltage tester is held together with duct tape! I have never in my life seen an appliance repair person such as this! So he told me the fan needed to be replaced. Okay, fine. He will be back when it comes in and he will call. He did not ask me if he could return later that day, but later that evening as I was about to prepare dinner, he called, wanted to come now and take another look. It's 5:30 at night! He wanted to see something that was hot and now is cold. He was totally unprofessional in all ways.

Okay, today, he called me at 11am and wants to come now! I asked him to come in an hour (noon). I have a dog and have to take her outside for her walk (I don't know if he is going to run the whole cycle again?) and restrain her, for when strangers come, she is not a little dog she is a 84lb German Shepherd. He came at 12:30. I have a stepstool because I am short. It has my dogs coat on there and some other stuff. He pushed everything on the floor and sat down! He did not ask if he could move the stuff but just pushed it on the floor! Okay, I just want this fixed, but again the voltage tester came out and was covered in silver duct tape. This does not inspire confidence in me at all but I've waited so long since June 27th to get my washer/dryer fixed.

I've lost ten bucks to the laundromat that ripped me off. I just want it fixed and him gone. He replaced one part and had me sign a paper. I asked about a guarantee and he said 90 days. I just washed my clothes on Saturday so I don't have any clothes to test it out today. So I don't even know if it is fixed. He told me the first time he came that all other components are fine but I see the tester with silver duct tape. Hey, fine to use crappy equipment at your own home on your own stuff but not professional! He has a little metal suitcase which he carries his stuff with. It seems neat enough. He tied something up with a ribbon? Very tacky! I've never seen an appliance repairman like this. He's unprofessional and does not inspire confidence! Ask your techs over there, they will be laughing out loud!

At 3:49, he called me up and yelled that I had to pay him! He said my machine was not under warranty and I owe him for labor and parts! He seemed threatening! I told him it was too under warranty. Didn't he check the paperwork? And I asked him, "Do you know who you are talking with?" Because he did not address me by my name, Ms. ** and while at my house, he got another service call. This man is rude, unprofessional and I was afraid he will be coming back to my house to get his money which I don't have because I'm on disability! I'm still afraid.

I immediately called 1-877-337-3639 and talked with a very nice woman, who I had to apologize to because I was so freaked out! She said she would contact him immediately tomorrow and doubt that he would be used again for any Haier repairs. So I'm hoping that is the end. But what if my machine breaks again? Do you guys not screen or ask for references on these people? I am trusting you to send a repair person who is professional, courteous and has the right tools to repair the Haier products, not driving up in a Sanford and Son vehicle complete with Graffiti! We were horrified when we saw that drive up! Is this some kind of joke?

I had a Kenmore washer that lasted for years, I mean 20 years! I just had to have the agitator replaced all that time. This HWD1000 machine went out after almost one year. If it breaks again, I cannot afford to pay for repair and will have an $800 piece of junk in my house. When I moved, I had a washer that I bought in 2011 from Whirlpool that I had to give away to Goodwill when I moved in July '11. I am not very happy right now and in another year or less when the fan or what not goes out, I will be very, very unhappy. I am stating this for the record to document poor performance on your machines and your repair personnel you send out. One of the women I spoke to said that if the machine couldn't be repaired, you would replace it.

The Sanford & Son truck appliance repair guy with duct tape on his voltmeter said it's all good. But did he just want the money? If you had to replace my unit, wouldn't he get paid as much? See, I have no way of knowing if this unit is really any good? It could last for 10 years or 10 days. Do you see my point? I don't even know what the other guy said because he did not upload his notes to my repair file properly. It should be a rule that if they don't document everything they will not get paid! If you were me, would you be worried? I think so. So, I am documenting this incident and will paste the copy of my shipping and order confirmation from last year. I would appreciate if this can go to a person in charge.

Both of these companies should not be used to repair your products! They both proved to be unreliable and unprofessional. The woman I spoke to tonight said she would phone me tomorrow, so I will be waiting. She is very nice and I do apologize to her. Here is my phone if someone else would care to talk with me, **.

We purchased a Haier washer/dryer combo from Lowe's in April 2012. In October 2012, the machine stopped drying. We have a one-year manufacturer's warranty. We called the manufacturer to report the problem (error 13) and they told us to call their service technicians to set up an appointment for repair. The service technician they referred us to was located 118 miles away and their representative told us, "Hell, no. We're not driving all the way up there to fix **." We then called the manufacturer to locate a service technician closer to our area and they informed us they were having trouble finding one and that they would call us in 3-5 days.

Nine days later (due to the holidays), we called the manufacturer back to learn why we had not heard from them. They told us they were still having trouble locating a service technician in our area and that they would call us back the next day. We did not receive a call back. So, once again, we called the manufacturer and they told us they would call us when they found a service technician. This has been going on for nearly three weeks now. I am highly dissatisfied with their product and their customer service and I most definitely will never purchase another product of theirs ever again.

I bought a Haier side-by-side washer/dryer about 6 months ago. Both units were working fine for the first 5 months, and then the dryer stopped working. I called the retailer where I bought the dryer, and they sent someone out (under warranty) to fix it. The dryer again stopped working on the very first cycle after the repair. I called the retailer again, and this time, it took 2 weeks for the parts. Yesterday, the repair guy came out to change out 3 parts, and again on the first dry cycle, the unit stopped working. I placed a call last week to Haier corporate offices, and they sent someone out this past Monday to see what parts it needs, and they are coming out tomorrow to install the parts (yes, at one time I had 2 different service appointments, one from Haier and one from the retailer where I bought the machine).

Haier told me to tell the repair guy tomorrow what parts were installed yesterday, and if he has the same parts to install, tell him to update the computer so that Haier could forward this to "higher management" for a swap out. It's so bad. This unit is 5-6 months old, and I'm having so many problems with it. I've had washers and dryers 15 years old that never had problems. This is not a good brand to buy.

I purchased a compact Haier washing machine around May 22, 2012. My unit began to malfunction on 8/15/12 and I subsequently placed a call to Haier America 8/19/12 to have my unit serviced as it is still under the full manufacturer's warranty. During my initial call, I was informed that there are no service providers in my area and that someone from Haier would call me back within 72 hours. By 8/23/12, I had received no call back, so I contacted Haier again. During this call, I was informed that service was scheduled for that same day, though I had never been informed nor had I agreed to have anyone service my machine that day. Haier informed me that the service provider should have contacted me already that day, but provided me their contact information since they had not called me by 5:00pm.

I contacted the service provider directly only to find that the contact information was incorrect. The phone number belonged to another company. I called Haier back and informed that the contact number for this service provider is invalid. At this point, after several phone calls and several unpleasant communications with ignorant and incompetent customer service representative, my case was escalated and sent to the tracking team in order to try to locate a service provider in my area. I've called back several times since 8/23/12 and they still have not located a provider to fix my machine. I've made several attempts to determine a deadline for locating a provider before Haier makes an exchange with me for a new unit, and none of the representatives or the manager I spoke with seems to have an idea of how long this process will take. I am extremely dissatisfied with the product and the customer service I have received to this point. Haier manufactures major appliances and I would think that due to the nature of the products they market, they would handle matters like this in a more expeditious manner.

Service tells me that someone will get back to me and no one ever does. As of 7/10, I was told it was approved for me to receive a new machine, but they had to call the tech to make sure the part was not ordered, and the tech would contact me. He never called me. So the next day, I called him and he told me he can’t get the part. Haier has never contacted me directly, I have always called them. It takes the repairmen weeks before they come out when they are called and weeks before the parts come in when they order replacements. I am very displeased with this company's products. I asked for a new replacement, but was refused because as long as the parts can be replaced, I wasn't eligible to receive a new washer. I am still having major problems with it. It is not working.

When I contacted the seller Livingdirect.com, they told me that I had to contact Haier. When I called them, they told me to call Livingdirect.com, and to get my money back--which they said they would not do under any circumstances. Note to self, never order anything from them or their sister company again because they have a 30-day return policy that has ten exceptions.

So, Haier scheduled a repair with a company that was closed on the day they scheduled the repair. I had to contact them myself; they said oops they didn't see the dispatch from Haier. At least they came on a Saturday just to tell me that they needed a part, and Haier is horrible about getting them parts, great! He said he would order it on Monday. I have yet to hear anything a week later. So, I have been hand-washing only to realize that the dryer stinks! After two hours of drying, everything is damp. It was still not dry after twenty-four hours; so, another two hours. I am wasting time, energy and my money. I hate this machine! After reading the manual, it recommended me to call a service rep. I tried that but was unsuccessful with reaching anyone. After leaving the washer untouched for several months, I attempted to use it again. This time it completed the cycle without stopping but was now making loud screeching noises as it turned & reversed. Three months later (now), it has completely stopped working. It was not exactly cheap considering it is such a small front loader & only able to wash a small load (no blankets, mats or any double size loads could even fit). In fact, the only reason I purchased it was because it was small enough to fit through the small garage doorway in the basement.

We have been facing a lot of problems after purchasing washing machine from Haier. Now after giving so many complaints, we are left with no other option, just to file a complaint to replace the washing machine. We remember our last four complaint numbers which we have filed against them against noise and drainage problem and against dismantle and against reinstallation which had been entertained after so many phone calls made by us.

Another one is on 18 Dec 09 against drainage which has not been entertained so far by them. After sales is so pathetic, that we have to call them again and again; then they attended the call. The last time also, they take the machine to their service center and repaired it after so many calls. We were harassed like anything by Haier every time we called for the service.

Now,the latest complaint is on 06-04-2010. To date, nobody turned up and when we called customer care on 10-04-2010, the executive gave me the assurance that the engineer will come by evening or on Sunday but will surely receive call by engineer in 1 hr but I haven't received any call and nobody turned up as well. Then, I was so tired of all this that I called the customer care on Monday(12-04-2010) and asked for the replacement and I told them that I am going to file a consumer complaint against Haier as these people assured me last time that if I face any problem next time, we will replace the machine.

After that I received the call from service manager (Deepak **) that, "ma'am, please give us last chance" and I denied it as he was giving me excuses that "our engineer was ill" as if in Haier only one engineer works. Our systems were not working. Even they don't have courtesy to arrange a call for customer that we have some problem so engineer will come next week. I have spoken to my dealer better, Janak ** as well spoke to Haier people but there is no resolution as of now . We request to replace this washing machine.

We bought our washer/dryer combo unit about 3 years ago. Last December, a hose was leaking and then finally busted. I looked up the schematics and even called Haier about the part. It seems the hose doesn't exist on the schematics? I know it's there and I took it off, but cannot get it replaced as Haier has no idea what the part is. They tell me that where I toed the hose from is supposed to be a pipe. We never had it worked on before now, so I know for a fact, this is the original hose that came on the unit.

So we "rigged" the hose to make it work again since we couldn't order a hose that didn't exist. Now, the dryer won't work. The washer will agitate to wash a load, but will not spin fast enough to get the water out of the clothes nor run the dryer. The dryer doesn't even try to turn on. My husband has lung cancer and I cannot afford to buy another one right now.

After searching the internet, it seems to me a lot of people are having the same problem with this unit not spinning to drain the clothes or dry. After spending so much on this unit, I cannot afford to buy another one. I expected this one to work for at least 5 years for the price of it. I own a washer/dryer, yet I have to spend $20 a week at the laundromat to have clean clothes. My husband has stage IV lung cancer, so I also have to get a sitter to stay with him once a week to go to the laundromat. I also have some floor damage from the water leaking from the hose onto the floor under the unit and we couldn't see that it was wet under it. I expected a rubber hose for hot water to last more than 2 years.

I purchased a Haier America washer/dryer combo last June. I used it once and after one wash cycle the unit broke. I called Haier and told them that the cycle selector knob was stuck and that the unit was not drying clothes properly. I also told them that a bunch of water was left in the drum even though the machine had gone through a dry cycle. A repairman was called and when he came out he replaced the timer. He left and the machine did not work when I tried it again.

After about a month Haier sent another repair man who claimed he had never seen this type of machine before and he ordered a new timer and a new motor. He installed these after they arrived and the machine still did not work. Finally Haier called me after two months had gone by saying they would send another repair man out. The new repair man came out and deemed the unit un-repairable. He said that the unit had been flooded and that the electrical system was rusted out. The unit is in my basement so now Haier is claiming that my basement flooded. My basement has never flooded but I am not surprised that the electrical system is rusted. Water was sitting in the machine for five months because nobody they sent out to repair the unit knew what they were doing.

I have tried to call Haier many times to find out what their final decision is. The machine is under warranty for a year and so it should be replaced. I have had so many people telling me the problem would be looked into and I would get a call back but never have.

It has been eight months now of talking to customer service people with no answers as of yet. I am assuming that Haier will not be replacing the machine that is under warranty and that they will continue to make excuses. I will contact my lawyer, the Better Business Bureau, and I will post my nightmare situation all over the internet. I do not recommend that anyone buy Haier products. They do not uphold their warranty and I have since read other reports of similar problems with flawed products.

I am out $850.00 by a company that won't uphold their warranty.
