We built our home with Gemcraft this past year in Ridgeley, West Virginia. We had an amazing experience from start to finish and are so so happy with our home! We worked closely with Patrick and Jim during the planning and contract period! From the start they were very quick to respond with any questions we had and Patrick was able to get us a price on our home the same day we looked at the model home. Patrick was more than happy to price out everything for us and work with us to plan our dream home. Chris and Jim were extremely responsive and answered any questions/concerns we had during the building process. We love our home and all of the customizations we were able to make. Gemcraft homes has great prices, and all of the options that are offered make each home unique. Gemcraft went above and beyond all of our expectations. We have now recommended Gemcraft to many of our friends and look forward to see their success continue in the future.

Gemcraft constructed our beautiful vacation home earlier this year. Charlie (Sales Manager) and Tom (Production Manager) were very professional and great to work with. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and dependable. Communication was always prompt. Charlie and Tom consistently kept us updated throughout the building process. They genuinely care about their clients as well as the construction quality. Much appreciation to Charlie, Tom, and Gemcraft for building our wonderful vacation home!

Working with Kevin ** has been a great experience. His continued service and help post closing has been greatly appreciated. I highly recommend working with him. The home is beautiful and we couldn't be happier.

My husband and I build a home with Gemcraft Homes, the Nottingham Model-we were really impressed with openness and attention to detail that the plan offered. From the time of entering into our contract until we were given our keys at settlement, the sales and build process was a breeze-it could have not of gone better and more smoother! Gemcraft Homes was so easy to work with and the staff which we built a family type relationship with was exceptional. We would build again. The quality of professionalism and a level of comfort was very warm and friendly. In particular...Mr. Pat ** was truly a pleasure to work with and it has been a joy getting to know him. He was very patient to detail in answering any of our questions and I would recommend him to anyone. Hope you all find this comfort in your next home building purchase.

We bought a townhome in Sussex Place and the process was smooth and easy. We had great communication with their team and are pleased with the townhome. I was surprised how much we got for our money considering we are from TN and the Northeast is much more expensive.

Melissa S was always available and ready to help my clients as they purchased their new construction home. It was a pleasure working with her. The few bumps along the way were more tolerable with Melissa as the sales rep.

They rushed me about to close on a house that was not 100 percent done. The shower door was not put on in the master bedroom. The mirrors were missing and so on. I was told they have 30 days to fix the issue after closing however it took more than 30 days for them to bring me the missing items after multiple calls on my end.

When referring clients over to Gemcraft Homes, specifically, Chuck **, and Nicole ** I’m confident my clients are in good hands to plan their dream home. Today’s extremely confusing Marketplace, Chuck, and Nicole take the time to respond to calls anytime day or night and on weekends to make sure clients are comfortable with the decision making process and intricate details of customizing a new home build.

I purchased my Town Home at Magnolia Landing, Joppa, MD as an investment. I rented it as soon as I settled and my tenants love this home. They have asked several times if I would sell it to them. I get an incredible amount of rent, so I am not in the market to sell. I only wish I had purchased a 2nd rental from Gemcraft Homes.

Professional sales staff and modern floor plans, and quality craftsmenship. Gemcraft gets an A+++ across the board. CJ is a rockstar to work with! If you're looking to build your dream house look no further than Gemcraft Homes.

Steve ** is an excellent Salesman! We are so happy we were able to purchase the Gemcraft model home at Magnolia Ridge thanks to Steve excellent sales skills. During the meet and greet Steve was very cordial and welcomed us into the model. He was very patient and spent two hours with us to thoroughly explaining every aspect of the property, neighbors and future plans for Phase II. He never pressured us but instead showed us the value in purchasing our home sold is and community.. Steve went above and beyond by making sure we were comfortable with everything in the house and after closing. Even after purchase he even went out of his way to ensure the broken shingles on our roof were fixed without us even having to ask.

We are truly grateful to have connected with Gemcraft. They built us an affordable, quality forever home. Charlie ** the community sales manager was awesome from start to finish. Tom ** the project manager was meticulous and detail oriented. We are truly grateful to have chosen Gemcraft.

I continue to recommend them to anyone who is considering the home building process and could not be happier with the service they proved as the sales team that represented Gemcraft Homes through our buying and building process.

Do your homework and read up on all of the reviews from this builder and don't buy a home from this company. They misrepresent their properties and will not refund your deposit even if they are at fault. Save your money and go work with a quality builder and you do your due diligence etc... If you are working with a realtor have them research the builder as well.

Not good is an understatement. I highly recommend thinking twice before buying a Gemcraft home. We bought a home with Gemcraft in April 2022. My advice is to stay away from them. They messed up multiple upgrades in my home, for example, every door in my house had to be ripped out, frame included, because they put the wrong doors in, even though we told them prior to them installing the doors that they were wrong. We had lived in the house for 3 months before they did this, so we had to deal with all our interior doors being in the garage that entire time and then the mess when they ripped them all out to replace them. We did not even have a mantle on our fireplace when we moved in. No one quite seemed to know where it went.

We were so excited to be building a new home. Everything started out great, but when we got to the end it all fell apart. They did the worse finishing job in our home! You can see every seam in the drywall every hole for the sprinklers, lights and outlets are cut so large on most you can see a hole and the sprinkler covers in some rooms will not even stay in the ceiling. The painting was also terrible. You can see pieces of roller or dirt stuck in the paint. We have also had to call the electrician, HVAC, and fireplace contractors for issues within the first two months. They have no quality control and when you call with frustrations they try to make it like you are being ridiculous. This was supposed to be a happy time, that has instead turned into months of frustrations and additional costs out of our pockets to make things right.

I want to start by saying I came in with high hopes when building my home with Gemcraft. We did a walk-through of the model home and was impressed by the finished basement, the finishes and the representative that we toured with. We decided that day we would purchase and chose a floorplan and gave our deposit within 24 hours. What was to follow was a year's log wait that included permits, lender changes and increased interest rates. Much of what could not be controlled by Gemcraft, but after closing I totally place much of the responsibility of what has (and hasn’t) occurred on Gemcraft.  

Had a home built by them. Home itself is nice. What I did not like is their business practices. I have a warranty with the home. I have two three issues, roofing, gutters, and HVAC. I have been after them for months warranty is almost expired spoke to someone today and was basically told they are not going to fix anything. Now I must come out of pocket to fix issues that are clearly warranty issues in contract that they are refusing to fix. I work for a law firm, they said I have a case and will represent me pro bono. But I really do not want to go through all of that. All I want is my issues fixed.

We had Gemcraft build our home on our lot - it is beautiful and almost a dream come true. At the beginning of the process, the communication was excellent, and follow through on spot. As the home came closer to completion, communication began to dwindle, and things were not getting completed. When the final draw was made we sat down and created the punch list as we signed the final documents. This is when service and communication came to a screeching halt. I love my house, but the finished work is not what a semi-custom house should be. I have exposed vent pipes, a basement window that is not cut out, screens missing and not installed, and a stove that does not work properly.

We have thankfully not had any major issues but many minor ones. We had a small leak in the finished basement ceiling months ago and I am still waiting on someone to fix the drywall, we had two broken cabinet shelves at final walkthrough (more than a year ago). I was told new ones were being ordered (more than once), still no shelves. Water shut off was buried for me and my neighbor, they came out and fixed neighbors and not mine. Seemed confused. Responses range from none - to lies. Follow up is almost non-existent. Following up with the service department is a part-time job. We have had many things fixed, but it is very hit or miss. They do build a beautiful home though. We love our home and just wish that getting service completed was not so aggravating.

I purchased a home from GemCraft at the end of 2021. I built the house starting in January and it took almost 12 months to complete. Along the way I was that home buyer that came to the job site weekly. Along the way pointing out issues with wiring, plumbing, etc... Of course nothing ever was addressed timely or at all, just excuses. Halfway through, they decided to fire my salesperson and project manager. During my walk-through, I pointed out a full list of things missing/Broken/wrong and I was assured they would be fixed asap. Like broken windows, missing molding, paint not complete, fixtures hanging of the wall, etc... not small stuff. Of course like a good used car salesman, once you sign, they disappear and it became my job to track them down.

If you’re looking to build your dream house look no further than Gemcraft Homes. We were so incredibly lucky to find them after almost giving up on our search due to dealing with other builders who used high pressure sales tactics and made it obvious that our interests are second. We give Gemcraft an A+++ across the board. They offer many modern and open floor plans, the option to build in community, or standalone lot. Their sales team is incredible. They are knowledgeable, transparent, flexible, and friendly. We worked directly with Pat who went above and beyond to help ensure our satisfaction and our expectations were exceeded.

We love our Gemcraft Home. The design is open and well thought out. The entire process was very easy, from Sales Staff to Construction process. We were updated throughout the process and invited to the home during the pre-drywall process. Our Presettlement walkthrough was very detailed, The Construction Manager reviewed all the components of the home. Explained all details as for emergency shut-offs for water and electricity. We would Recommend Gemcraft Homes to all of our friends and family.

We moved into our new Gemcraft home last year. We have had a great experience working with Gemcraft all the way from the contract process and financing through construction. Our superintendent was excellent to work with, very professional and knowledgeable. We LOVE our house and were very proud to show it off! We referred one of our friends to Gemcraft and they decided to buy a new Gemcraft home rather than purchasing an existing home. We feel we got a great value and the base home already had most of the features we were looking for and we were able to add options to give us everything else we wanted.

Gemcraft Homes recently built a house for us and the experience was great. They completed the process as expected and handled all issues professionally and in a timely manner. They were flexible too when we asked for changes. We are happy to recommend them.

We bought our house in June 2021 from Gemcraft. We signed our contract in February for a house already in construction. We were very happy with the process we went through to chose all the interior and exterior fixtures, cabinets, flooring, siding, molding, lighting, etc. They had a great selection and made this very easy and painless. We did several upgrades and didn't feel like they were hitting us with excessive charges, great value overall. The walk through prior to settlement was easy with very few issues. Those that we identified were corrected immediately. We have been in the house about 6 months and the quality of their workmanship has shown through. We simply have not run across any issues. I would definitely buy another home from Gemcraft.

My fiancée and I had our first home built by Gemcraft and were very pleased with our experience. Our salesman, Pat **, was very helpful walking us through the process and explaining what to expect so we could be comfortable with our decisions. Given the shortages and general difficulties with building a home during the pandemic, Gemcraft did a great job making the construction process as stress-free as possible. And the service department has been responsive in addressing any minor issues we’ve identified since moving in.

We built in 2013, our experience with Della was great. She walked us through our first home building experience and 9 years later we still love our home. Even well after the years she has always stayed only a phone call away. We have sent others as well to her and she was just as responsive and helpful. Great building experience with her by our side!

The Gemcraft Homes Sales and Production Team did a fantastic job in building my family's home. Thank god for them-they made this process easy. From the very beginning, Pat ** helped us navigate this process. He found us the right floorplan within our budget and guided us through the selection process. He helped us in all aspects of the sales process including the financing. Now that the construction is complete, I am proud to call this house my home.
