I originally purchased a basic windows & doors system to protect a house I purchased while I was waiting to move in. Customer service during the initial account setup and purchase was informative, knowledgeable about their product and didn't give a hard sell to buy more than what I needed. The sensors were timely shipped and setting up with their telephone support was simple. I was so pleased that after I started moving in, I upgraded my plan and bought water, CO2, and fires sensors and Z-Wave door locks (locks from a third-party but they integrate w/ FrontPoint's system). I had the unfortunate opportunity to test the effectiveness of the system soon after moving in when a severe thunderstorm brought heavy rain and knocked out power while I was away from the house. I didn't have back up batteries on the sump pump but the water sensor helped me get a generator set up and mitigate the flooding. Also, the CO2 sensor warned that CO2 from the generator was getting into the house. I'm satisfied that the products work and I like not only the security they provide but the ability to monitor access to the house and whether I forgot to close windows or lock doors. It is about much more than preventing crime.

I am quite satisfied with FrontPoint's ease of installation and use in my household. My daughter and I are able to access the system using our smartphones which makes it very convenient. The text alerts give me peace of mind, especially when I am alerted each time my daughter leaves or comes home. I would definitely recommend FrontPoint Security.

After a small break-in at our home, I started researching the best security companies. FrontPoint was at the top of all my searches. After talking with one of FrontPoint's great customer reps, I ordered our system and received it in just a few days. Installation was a breeze . . . Even my husband was amazed it was so easy! There are many things we love about our FrontPoint Security system, especially the fact that we can take it with us when we move. We also like the digital/cell capability which prevents thieves from cutting our telephone lines. It's very handy to be able to get notified on our cells, landline, and computer if a problem is detected. Being able to turn the system on or off remotely is a big plus as well. It's great to be able to add components to the system without incurring any extra costs. You can't go wrong with FrontPoint from ease of installation to their great customer service . . . We're really glad we did!

I researched security systems and wireless security systems after an individual attempted to kick in our front door while I was home. After much research I found that FrontPoint Security was the system I wanted to install. I loved that there was no big 'sales pitch' and no 'hard pressure sales.' They don't need either. The product, the sales, the options and the service sell themselves.
The system was super easy to install and was guided by the great US-stationed technical support individuals. They have backed the product and with the phone app and the Key Fob devices, it is simple and easy to Arm and Disarm as well as keep track of History of events. I love the wireless installation and the cellular transmission. I like that there is no drilling of holes, routing of wires or 'sales people' sitting in the living room attempting to sell me something I don't need/want.
This company is the best I have ever seen or talked with and they did their research about what was needed/wanted and how to provide the BEST customer service and support using the BEST equipment BEFORE they started the company.

I would encourage anyone and everyone to sign up with FrontPoint. The security systems thus far have been awesome. I have had the system for about 6 months and so far I am very pleased. One of my neighbors 2 homes down from me just had a break in last Wednesday, so I went down and spoke with them in regards to FrontPoint, explaining to them that I had did my research prior to going with FrontPoint and that they seem to have had the best quality and pricing out there. While I speaking with them the wife looked the company up on her cell phone and started reading reviews and other information on the company. She seem to have been impressed with her findings. Most companies charge a little extra for camera monitoring and FrontPoint still beat their price. So for now, keep up the good quality in all areas, FrontPoint.

From start to finish this has been a great security system experience. The pricing is competitive, the installation was a breeze, and using the system is so simple. I also appreciate their security consultants and the fact that they aren't pushy salesmen. They listened to what I was looking for and recommended hardware that I would need. When I looked at what the recommended, it would have worked great, but I wanted to do something slightly different. That was no problem at all! They gladly made the change, no fuss.

I was looking for a wireless home security option for my home. FrontPoint provided the following: friendly/efficient service, quick delivery, easy installation, easy system upgrades, useful/convenient mobile app to monitor and control system, reasonable prices (comparable or better than those I found with traditional services, including my previous provider). I have called FrontPoint a couple of additional times to add features, etc. and have found the service consistent on all occasions.

We learned of FrontPoint through online reviews and going through the "How to Install" videos on FrontPoint's website. It looked very straightforward, and after purchasing the equipment, it was exactly as the video showed. The Security Technician walked us through the activation, was extremely patient and helpful. When we had pending alarms, FrontPoint always called us to make sure whether it was a false or real alarm. One time a false alarm was triggered by a relative and FrontPoint promptly had the police come out.
With the easy installation, the helpful FrontPoint personnel to activate and walk you through any questions, and always getting cheerful assistance with subsequent calls to FrontPoint, whether due to a false alarm or having questions on why one particular device wasn't behaving properly, the customer service was first class and re-confirmed our satisfaction that we made the right choice with FrontPoint.
We've had the service for over a year and have not had any sales pressure to add on new features or trigger a price increase for the service. The cost of the service is very reasonable, and we really enjoy the extra service of being notified when the system has been alarmed or disarmed. Another neat feature that customers might enjoy is the ability to access your account and view camera activity if you purchased a camera to monitor the premise.
Our only one complaint is the inconsistent detection of the sensor that's attached on the garage door, which detects the angle of when the door is opened or closed. It may work better on wooden garage doors, but most doors these days are made out of metal for roll-ups. It appears that this type of sensor works better in cooler temperatures than warmer on metal doors. Overall we are quite happy with FrontPoint and definitely would recommend them. Their monitoring service is a key feature to feeling safe and protected.

I found FrontPoint on Angie's List, where it gained high praise. I'm glad I chose FrontPoint. The system was super easy to install, and customer service was very friendly, NOT pushy (much appreciated) and professional. I also like that I can arm the system remotely when I'm at work; use it after my house cleaners leave the house. So far, the system did not need to get "into action" as there were no break-in attempts; therefore, I cannot report on how everything works in an emergency. And I hope it stays that way. I recommend FrontPoint to friends and neighbors and would install it myself any moment again.

We had a pleasant experience with FrontPoint right from the start. The Sales Consultant that we spoke with worked diligently to get us the best deal and exactly what we needed for our home. Shipping was fast, and the packaging was very neat and organized, which made installation a breeze. We had ordered our system before we moved into our new home. With FrontPoint's fast and easy installation, we were able to completely set everything up in under 30 minutes, head to dinner and access everything from our cell phones - all before we even moved in. A few months after we installed the system, we decided to add another sensor. Again the Sales Consultant was very helpful and our new sensor was shipped right away and only took a phone call to activate. We also love the option of multiple disarming codes. This way we know exactly who has armed and/or disarmed the system. We can also supply our dog sitter a temporary code when we are away. We are extremely satisfied with our FrontPoint Security System and would choose no other. Highly Recommended.

I was somewhat dubious at first of the monitoring service, no longer. When we triggered the alarm accidentally a couple of times we got called within 30 seconds!

Installation of the system is very easy and can be done in only a few minutes. The one complaint I have is that all sensors are designed to use two-sided tape, which can damage walls and be very difficult to remove from the wall/sensor. I would prefer to screw-install sensors, as small holes are much easier to repair. I also wish the sensors were white instead of off-white. However, the operation of the system and reliability has been superb. I did have two sensors that had issues - one was a garage door sensor that would often trigger an alarm for no reason - the explanation was due to either movement when the wind shook the door or a sensor range issue (too far away from panel).
Frontpoint quickly sent me a normal door sensor (at no cost) to try it on my garage door. It also had false-alarm problems, so again, at no cost, Frontpoint sent me a long-range door sensor, which solved my problem. Every time I've contacted their customer service, I've been very impressed and pleased - Frontpoint has some of the best service of any company I've ever contacted. The equipment and plans are price competitive. I highly recommend Frontpoint to anyone. Remote access via a cell phone is a great feature. However, my phone often loses communication with the system (I don't get notifications); however, this is not technically a FrontPoint issue, as the app and web services are based on alarm.com.

When we started shopping, all the big names in security, everything seemed to be the same everywhere you looked. Then we literally stumbled upon FrontPoint (sign in a friend's yard). The pricing and ease of installation is what sold us. By no means do I consider myself a handyman, but I installed the whole system in less than 10 minutes! Now, we have 24-hour monitoring and we can even monitor on our smartphones. FrontPoint is the best!

From the first time I contacted FrontPoint to inquire about their services, I have been extremely happy with their product and customer services. I was a little apprehensive when they told me they would not be sending out an installer and would mail me the device. After I received the device and called customer service, they walked me through the setup process and my device was configured and working in less than 20 minutes. I also love the web interface and the customizable alerts that can be setup very quickly. Overall a great product and customer service!

I have been using FPS for about 5 months, and I have been very happy with the system, and the company. They were extremely helpful with the setup, and answered all questions I had. Their monitoring response is also amazing - to test them out, I tripped the alarm a few times, at different days/times of week and I always got a call back very quickly. The system also has remote monitoring and text alerts that I set up. So I have a very good idea of what is going on in my house.

I did a lot of research before I chose a home security company and system for my home after it was burglarized. Asked friends, searched Better Business Bureau to learn FrontPoint had only a few complaints compared to thousands that ADT had. From my first call to setup and activate my new system to calls made for assistance, FrontPoint was awesome! And their monitoring is the best in the country. I recommend FrointPoint every time I hear someone is looking for new home security. Keep up the great work!

I chose Frontpoint over your competitors because the gentleman I spoke with on our first call was so knowledgeable, and that allowed me to trust you with the security of my home and family. Whenever we've had an issue (a few with garage sensors and the mobile app) I've gotten a response and generally it's been what I've expected. I hope that Frontpoint continues to improve and grow the mobile capabilities while I'm under contract, and I will likely renew once it's time.

I have had more than 5 false alarms where my alarm has gone off and had to pay fines with my local PD department as a result. Weekly, I have a malfunction in the system while I am away on a business trip.

As a 65-year old Reference Librarian, I research all products and services before I make a purchase. I spent six months researching various security companies and home alarm systems before I selected FrontPoint. I liked the wireless monitoring system, the fact my husband and I decided what options we needed in our home and not a salesman, and the outstanding reviews I found online about FrontPoint. We easily installed and activated our system. After a few weeks, we decided to add a glass break monitor, and it was simple to add to our system. Setup was very easy and customer service was great. FrontPoint offers the same features as competitors that charge higher prices. Apps and interactive monitoring are great. System is very easy to use for the whole family. Receiving text messages every time someone disables the alarm or if the alarm goes off is great. I have recommended FrontPoint to my neighbors as we have had quite a few burglaries in the last couple of years.

I searched and searched for the best security system when I moved to Houston over a year ago. Moving from a small Oklahoma suburb to the metropolis that is Houston was overwhelming to say the least. Being in law enforcement for 13 years, I have seen the inefficiencies of other inferior competitors to FrontPoint. Although I purchase my alarm system through Angie's List FrontPoint was able to customize it for me. The sale rep was knowledgeable and helpful. I have tried several home monitoring systems. FrontPoint Security is the most user-friendly of all. I am gone quite a bit but I feel secure with FrontPoint monitoring my home. I have several people who come in while I am gone and utilize the internet capabilities extensively, never fearing that someone will enter inappropriately while I am gone. The one issue that arose of the years was easily fixed with one phone call. I think that the quality of service obtained is a great value for the cost involved.

My initial call went very well. I had many questions and the sales associate was very patient with me. I felt confident that I could do the setup myself. When I received the product, I was a little less confidence. I contacted the helpdesk and the associate was very patient with me and helped walk me through the setup. Way better than the other guys!! They call right away if the alarm is going off, and it's wireless! Don't have to worry about paying for a phone or someone cutting the phone line. And it's easy to set up, just do it yourself. No one else has to come to your home. Would definitely recommend!

The representatives were very pleasant, polite and seem to really believe in their products. This was one of the few things I have ever purchased over the phone and didn't feel one ounce of pressure to make a decision. I was given as much time as I wanted to make a decision. When it came time to set up my system, the representative was a saint. There were so many distractions on my end it was embarrassing but he hung in there and helped me through it with a smile on his face (at least that what he sounded like) :)

We wanted a wireless security system for more security. We didn't feel secure with lines outside that could be cut. We decided on Front Point because of the rating they had and we were not disappointed. Customer service is great! So easy to install! I was a former ADT customer and FrontPoint is so much more easier to administer. The system is not obtrusive since it is wireless and was very easy to install. It gives my family safety without making us feel locked into our home.

I've had the FrontPoint system for a year or so now and it's been a largely excellent experience. I did have some challenges with setup, having to return a couple sensors. I was also not happy that I could not get the volume discounts when I discovered after receiving my order that I actually needed a couple extra sensors. It seems like that initial pricing process could use some clean up. That said, everything installed quite easily and we love the functionality. The smartphone app works easily and intuitively and we love that we can build on our system with door locks, A/C controls and other sensors down the road. So overall, we've been quite pleased with the system after a couple relatively small hiccups up front.

So far I am satisfied with FrontPoint and would recommend the company highly. The phone specialist who set up my account and sold me the system was fair and honest and did not engage in a "hard sell." Doing my own comparison shopping I discovered indeed Frontpoint offered the most up to date technology at a fair price. The installation was indeed easy. I feel my home is secure with a Frontpoint system. That said my only concern is that there are no back up batteries offered in case of a long term power outage. Last year hurricane Sandy wiped out power for 3-5 days on average. The Frontpoint battery only lasts 24 hours and can only be recharged through an outlet. That is my one frustration because I would like my home to still have the ability to communicate with local authorities even in a weather emergency.

So far so good. Our system is relatively simple, with monitoring for just a few doors & windows, yet I am convinced that ease of operation and personal satisfaction would be just as high with a more complex system. We've had no issues at all, everything works as advertized. Installation/set up was a breeze, and the system with all its features is very easy to use.

The system is fantastic! It is easy to setup, a breeze to use, and reasonably priced! It works by means of modern technology so even if my house loses power or someone breaks in and smashes the system, the alert has already been sent! The system is also very customizable and FrontPoint does not charge extra fees for the number of sensors used. I have the option of adding window sensors, cameras, and even light controls! It also has a very useful iPhone app that lets me arm the system while I am away and can also utilize a geofence to remind me about arming the system in case I leave the house and forget!
I have recommended the service to other family members and inform others about the FrontPoint experience when it comes up in conversation. I plan to remain a FrontPoint customer into the foreseeable future and hope to help spread the word of your amazing business. I like the App for my iPhone. I can check on my home and tell if doors are being opened and shut. My wife and I recently went on vacation and we were able to see if the house sitter was being truthful when coming and going at our home. I have had an entirely positive experience with FrontPoint as my security system provider/consultant. Their security consultants and customer service reps are very professional and knowledgeable. Based on clear and direct instructions included in my security kit, I was able to install my entire home security system in approximately 15-20 minutes. Finally, I almost exclusively rely on FrontPoint's smartphone app to control my security system. The app is very straightforward and easy to use. Overall, I am more than pleased with my experience to date with FrontPoint.

Our house was just robbed into and our current security provider at the time said it would be several days before they would fix the system that couldn't deter a burglar. That being said we called FrontPoint. The person we spoke with was great and caring. He explained how the criminal got past our current system and how to fix it so it wouldn't happen again. He overnight the new system and we were up and running the next day giving peace of mind and making our children feel safe again.

I am satisfied with FrontPoint Security. The only problem that I have is the fact that there is no panic system with the alarm. In other words my previous alarm system had it where if someone broke into your home and made you put your alarm code in there was an alternate code that would turn the alarm off but also alert the police. FrontPoint Security does not have that option. I would feel better if they did. Also the motion sensor and the glass break should be included with the program and not have to be added separately.

I have been a customer of FrontPoint since May of 2012. During that time, I have had a sense of complete security from having my system in place. I am an older, retired person and most of my neighbors work during the day. However, I feel that I am never alone. I have had two instances where I unknowingly set off the alarm and FrontPoint was unable to reach me by telephone. Our local police were at my door within a few minutes. FrontPoint called me to see if the police had responded and the representative was knowledgeable and courteous. FrontPoint Security is the best budget outlay I could ever have. In fact, for my peace of mind, it is priceless.

FrontPoint is a great service. One area that might be clarified is after-hours emergency response. The person who I contacted after 10 pm on a Sunday stated that he could not set up the system such that it automatically would notify the police in case of an alarm. We had seen suspicious activity in our back yard and wanted the police to be notified immediately if the alarm was triggered. Overall the FrontPoint system is good. I didn't like that I had to set everything up on my own. Also, the tape on the motion detectors isn't great. I have had to replace the tape two or three times and I haven't had the system for an entire year yet. At one point when I wasn't home one of my motion detectors fell off the wall and set the alarm off. I was very freaked out because I was away and thought someone was trying to break in. I also do not like that if I want to hang the control panel on the way, I have to hire and pay an electrician to come out to wire and hang it. This is extra money.
I called FrontPoint to see if they could send a technician to help me but I was told they don't provide that service. I hate the control panel sitting on my counter taking up space. I do love the ability to access everything with the system online and through the mobile app. This is very convenient and helpful. I also appreciate the ability to make multiple access codes and to track the activity of each code online.

Front Point is the best choice when it comes to home monitoring. Their customer service is fantastic, response time prompt and hardware is a breeze to set up. I only have one complaint but it's not directed at the company. There's no Alarm.com app for BlackBerry 10 so to monitor from my phone is fairly difficult! Other than that, I would definitely recommend!

The system is very easy to use, and it was as painless to set up as they advertised. The wireless devices work great. I really like the idea of not having to drill holes everywhere. It took a couple of tries to get the service level set correctly, but customer service was excellent.

I have a cabin (second home) in the middle of nowhere and FrontPoint gives me the peace of mind to leave it unattended. The customer service and ease of set-up made it perfect for this application, but I see the value in many, many security needs and I would highly recommend it.

FrontPoint has been very proactive and immediate with their response to any household alarm. We are contacted immediately by their response team and questioned about the alarm and possible dispatch of first responders. Our various alarms over the past two years have all been inadvertent, but nonetheless, FrontPoint responders were immediate and professional, even requesting if we wanted them to reset the alarm (in our absence). We have a FrontPoint system at the AroundWire.com office. The installation was seamless, the support staff was very helpful (with walkthroughs, explanations, and responses), and....when our landlord forgot the alarm code and walked into our office, we got to REALLY test the system out - the police came, text messages and e-mails were delivered - everything was as promised. Great system and service.

We chose to buy the FrontPoint Security system after reading reviews and checking with the BBB. The equipment arrived and was installed in Dec. by my husband who was an electrician for almost 40 years. For the 3 months that we were gone and our neighbor was checking on the house weekly, the system seemed to work properly. Once we returned home and resumed daily living in the house in late March, the sensors started malfunctioning. We called and would go through the drill of running up and down the stairs, opening and closing doors while on the phone with the rep. The sensors would randomly not work, sometimes it was 3, sometimes 2, and sometimes 4, so we were told we had to move the control panel.
Once moved, it didn't make any difference. A large sensor was sent to replace sensor 2, but 3 and 4 were still not dependable. We pretty much gave up calling because it was so time-consuming and frustrating. We were not able to use the security system for 5 months, from late March until late August, unless we bypassed one of the doors, which basically left the house at risk anyway so we just gave up turning it on. Then about a week ago, the rep finally agreed to send large sensors for the other two doors. Once installed, the system now is usable.
The tech people we talked to were polite and professional, but I don't understand why it took 5 months to arrive at a solution that seemed pretty simple. Other people who have competitors' systems have not experienced these issues with the wireless alarm systems. Because of all the malfunctions, I also don't feel very secure with the reliability of the system. I think the company should credit us for the 5 months of not being able to use the security system.

Having just moved into a home in Washington DC, we wanted to expand on the security system that was existing since it only had sensors on the two doors. After bringing in ADT, the existing supplier of security, and getting a quote for $3000 to hard wire a system with 21 windows, two doors, keypad and camera, I googled wireless security systems and read Frontpoint's Angie's List reviews and couldn't find any reason not to. At least is have a second quote to help make my decision. After a half hour on the phone with the FRONTPOINT rep, we ordered everything ADT was going to give us except the camera, which we felt we didn't need after all. Total cost--$795.00!!! A no-brainer.
Once the equipment arrived, I installed the sensors on the 21 windows, two doors, one carbon dioxide detector, one flood sensor, and two lamp sensors in about 45 min. And along with the app on my iPhone, there was no need for another keypad. Activation and start up took another 30 min on the phone as they checked that each sensor worked and we were done. The lights come on based on the sunset time and off when we want them to automatically turn off, and the system has 30-45 sec false alarm protection so if we set off the alarm by accident (it has happened three times due to forgetting it was on), if the alarm is cancelled at the panel before 30 sec, no alarm is sent to FRONTPOINT. But also impossible deactivate during a power failure since it is wireless with battery back up.
Overall, this system tells me when someone opens up a door (if I want text notification), a window, a cabinet (if I put a sensor on a liquor cabinet, for example). Wouldn't live without it. A great system for a great price and a huge savings over a wired ADT system.

The people I worked with to set up my system were fantastic! I thought I needed an entirely different system than what I actually ordered - after talking to the representative, he took over an hour to see what my concerns were, explain to me the different options and how they helped address my concerns, as well as provided some additional safety tips I could use - like placing a dowel rod in each of the downstairs window tracks.

My husband and I decided to invest in a security system after hearing of an increase of crime in our area. We ordered a package and we were able to install the system ourselves. When we had questions we were able to call FrontPoint; the representatives were always professional, pleasant and helpful. Now when we leave the house we know that we'll be alerted to any alarm via my mobile phone. We can control lights from our phone as well. All of my experiences with FrontPoint have been positive. I did a lot of research before making my final decision on selecting a home security vendor and I'm very happy with my choice. Frontpoint security was very easy to work with. They have a great customer service team and a great product. The monthly service fee is very reasonable and the cost for equipment is extremely lower than most other companies. Set up and installation was very quick and easy. With me and my family living out in the woods at least 15 minutes from the nearest city, I needed an extra layer of protection for my family and my home. We feel much safer now while sleeping at night and when we are away from the house knowing that our home is constantly being monitored. We have had FrontPoint for about a year, now. The ordering process and installation was very easy. When ordering, the sales associate did not push any products and actually recommended ways to save money. The iPhone app is great and easy to use. Not only can we arm and disarm from it, but we have a record of all activities and get texts when the garage door opens or the system is armed/unarmed. It even notifies us if we leave and forget to set the alarm.
We have only had the alarm go off one time, but I was impressed with the response. First, I got a text message alerting me that it was about to go off. Almost immediately, I got the call from FrontPoint. She stayed on the line with me as I turned the car around to check it out. It was my error, but she was very accommodating. I would highly recommend this company.

The customer service is great. Whenever I have a question, they are very friendly and helpful. I like the app and being able to manage the account remotely. The only reason it is not 5 stars is because on several occasions I have issues with the system, that I have to bypass certain sensors, and I have not had that issue resolved.

I was in the market for something which was easy to install myself and easy to use once finished. I received both by using FrontPoint. I did have to call about installing the glass break sensor. However after speaking to a representative without waiting, the issue was fixed within minutes. Another great feature is the alarm.com app. I can access my homes security through my iPhone at any time.

I was very happy with the customer service and anytime I had a question, I was able to get a human relatively quick. I feel that the sensors are kinda cheap. I ordered some more tape because the one that came with the sensor didn't stuck properly. I never got the tape.

I have had great service and fairly reliable connectivity with my station. There have been a few times where we thought we armed our house (confirmed through our iPhones) only to find out that our house was in fact not armed, that was a little disconcerting. That has only happened about 2 this year. There were also issues with communications from our iPhones to our station (disarming) and it has taken us several times to disarm before we could even walk into our house. That happens about 1 a month.

It was very easy to set up. We really like that you can program the alarm to tell you what door opens. The online options allow you to receive texts (or emails) when user defined actions take place such as opening back door to pool, leaving garage door open more than 15 minutes, or even leaving a certain range around your home without setting the alarm.

I've been fairly unhappy since I joined as a member, but too busy to do anything about it. I will likely switch over this holiday season to ADP. Since I first bought my home, your service has been lacking - especially customer service. I have felt like a monthly check more than a person trying to protect my family and home. Any mistake or problem is inherently my fault, even when I am just trying to get solutions. I quite literally hate that I give you $50 a month but hopefully that will change soon.

After researching several security companies, I settled on Front Point based on reputation and cost. Staff was very helpful in advising me on what we needed, without trying to sell us more than we needed, which several other companies tried to do. Installation was very easy and they walked me through setting up the alarm panel which went quickly. I haven't had any alarms yet so I can't comment on the alarm response aspects.

I have had the system for about a year now and have no complaints with it. It is easy to use and set up as a homeowner. I customized the package for what I needed and did the install in a couple of hours.

Even though I was a newcomer to the security system world, the reps were very helpful and explained everything in really plain understandable language. When I needed help in resetting our system because it was set up to not give me enough time to deactivate it when entering the house, my call was quickly answered and they walked me through it quite well. I have received an e-mail that I believe was not from them requesting new billing information and credit card info.

After several incidents of communications failures through Alarm.com and multiple phone calls to FrontPoint Customer Service, some issues continue sporadically. When setting the alarm over Alarm.com, the system may report a communication error, and yet actually arm the system. I've experienced very prompt checking by FrontPoint of the rare false alarm. Overall I'm very happy with the system. The only drawback I've experienced is with the remote setting of the alarm which can be problematic, but resolved with a little delay.

The Frontpoint representative who did my initial consultation was very knowledgeable. He helped me configure the system and select the components I needed. When the system arrived, the instructions were very easy to follow and I was able to install everything myself. Because the system is wireless, it is easy to place the components and if we move, we can take the system with us. I can also receive text messages and emails in addition to a phone call when there is a problem at the house. I had a piece of faulty equipment just recently and the FrontPoint representatives worked with me and replaced the equipment with no hassles and no additional charges. The FrontPoint system gives me peace of mind.

I really wanted to go with a company that had a longer warranty on the hardware and low to zero upfront costs, but the technical strength of the consultant and the no pressure sales steered me towards FrontPoint.

We shopped extensively for an economical home security system and tried FrontPoint after reading so many positive reviews about the system. We were not disappointed. It is easy to self-install, and the customer service has been top notch. We saved at least a thousand dollars by self-installing, and the wireless design makes it an attractive, modern system. We would recommend FrontPoint to anyone.

So far, we have been pretty happy with the Front Point system. I thought the initial set up was a breeze and we got WAY more equipment than most other companies were offering for much less of an upfront fee. I do wish the monthly monitoring fee was a little less. We also liked the fact that the system worked without a phone line since we don't have one, but we have had issues with the cell towers in our area that caused our system to not transmit an alarm signal until 1 to 2 hours after it went off. Not super reassuring in a real emergency!
Customer service had us move the control panel to several different spots in our house until we finally found the area with the best signal. Signal transmission has worked since then (as far as we know!). I don't think this was really an issue with Front Point specifically, just cell technology in general. So overall, I would say we are pretty happy with our purchase and monitoring services.

I turned to Frontpoint after researching reviews on affordable home security solutions. It was so easy to pick the hardware and setup the service. Hello, I've been happy with FrontPoint. I think the functionality they offer is superior to other vendors I evaluated and the do it yourself setup was easy, relatively quick, and saved money. I find the service itself reliable and responsive although I've had a few issues with the reliability of hardware (a few sensors failed on me); FrontPoint was always quick to replace them though.
Also, the salesperson who sold me the system was overzealous. I was interested in a piece of hardware called the Image Sensor (it is a motion detector that takes pictures) which FrontPoint didn't officially support. The salesperson said he worked with tech support and that if I bought an image sensor from a third party it would work with my FrontPoint system. I ended up doing so and alas it didn't work. FrontPoint was sorry about this when I called up and they refunded me the amount I paid for the Image Sensor (even though I didn't buy it from them).

We have been very happy with FrontPoint. The only shortcoming was we had some problems with a couple of sensors that failed. But FrontPoint replaced these right away and handled the issue great.

After shopping around for monitored alarm services, I chose FrontPoint because I wanted cellular signal monitoring, equipment that was mine to keep, and a low monthly cost. My experience with the sales personnel was excellent. Setup was fairly simple. However, the range of wireless signal between the control panel and sensors is not great. I have a detached garage, and with the control panel in the office where I wanted it to be, sometimes the garage door sensor signal would be lost. This generated a "keychain open" alarm on the control panel, and there is no detailed documentation to explain what that means. It would come and go, until I moved the control panel into another room closer to the back of the house. The rated range of the sensors is, I believe, 100 yards from the panel.
It's not a big deal to have the control panel in a different place. And I like that I can expand the system with additional sensors if I decide later that I need to protect another window, for example. I like that I can have a remote keypad near the door for convenience, while keeping the control panel in a less obvious place so an intruder won't have time to find it and smash it before the alarm signal is transmitted. (I just wish the remote keypad had a "silent exit" button, like on the control panel.) There are extra features like access from your smartphone, available for a price. I went with the basic, no-frills monitoring. It's a good value.

I do like the Frontpoint experience overall. The main issue I have is that the monitors never seem to stick to any surface for long. Amusing as the point of failure is rarely the wall resulting gobs of superstuck tape. This has resulted in a number is failures being reported. Would be nice to have a better user interface easier so that anyone can set up the system. It isn't difficult but can cause grief.

I have been a customer with FrontPoint Security since March of 2012. Everyone from their Sales Team to the Monitoring Team that calls when an alarm goes off have been great and helpful. I have the interactive system with the SmartPhone app and it is easy to arm and disarm the system from the phone. The history information present in the app is easy to read and understand.

We were burglarized last Christmas which prompted us to get a security system. After much research, we found that FrontPoint had the best equipment and a very reasonable price! FrontPoint saved the day when we had an attempt months after the first one. Through the App, it told us were the attempted entry was, at the exact time, and other useful information. Luckily Frontpoint prevented any violation.

The service is very expensive compared to other services, but we pay the difference because we like the iPhone app availability. I've had trouble with a number of my sensors and had to call customer service several times. Also, we have accidentally set off out home alarm several times and not received a call to see if everything is ok. I understand that we usually get to the alarm relatively quickly after it goes off, but we would feel like someone has a close watch on us if we got a call each time no matter what. Overall the service has been acceptable.

We are "bicoastal" family. We have two homes and spend about 6 months a year at each. We have multiple family members near each home who enjoy using those homes for "getaways" when we are not around. We also have friends immediately next door to each home who keep their eyes on it for us. But even so, we want our investment well protected. With Front Point Security installed we now have one home fully set up with perimeter and internal coverage. We have assigned each family member a code which we change periodically so that they need to call for it each time.
If they make a snap decision to visit, it only takes me a couple minutes to set the code with our iPhones and if they leave something unset; the system is so simple, either my wife or I can set the system over the phone. We feel very comfortable with FrontPoint in place and plan to install the same system in our second home this year (The house was already set up with a wired security system from another company, but being able to monitor and set the FrontPoint system from afar was a big plus for us. The installation was insanely simple and the staff patient and informative).

Our favorite part is the app we have on our phones that allows us to see whether the system is armed while we are away. When I bought my new home in March of 2012, I researched home security companies for weeks. I read what seemed like a million reviews from all different sources about several different companies and their pricing/service. I decided on FrontPoint and it's no surprise how they came out the winner. Their service was amazing from the first phone call in which was solely for me to rapid fire 500 questions. Any staff I spoke with was incredible at giving me all the details I needed. As each asked about my home and what I'm looking for, almost all had the same opinions about what I would need, what they'd recommend, and especially refreshing to hear many tell me what would be totally unnecessary for me, even when I was asking about it!!
The system was a breeze to set up over the phone and has worked flawlessly ever since. The mobile app is also great. I've recommended them to several people and will continue to do so. Their equipment might not be the most sophisticated, but it's cellular, battery backed, and works like a charm! I love my system, the company, and their service.

I've been a long time customer of ADT when I updated to the FrontPoint Security Service, I was looking at the latest ADT upgrade. It required me to update all my equipment and buy additional hardware out of pocket and increase my monthly payment. FrontPoint gave a better solution that gave me the latest features and utilize my equipment. Plus the service provided was better and set up easier. Their support and clear instructions gave me a better understanding of my equipment and provided better security for my home.

I love the app to control the system. I love how easy it was to install and activate. Only thing that keeps me from giving a five is that the camera needs to use my WiFi. I don't understand why it can't use the signal that the system has. When I am away from home, I like to turn off as many items as possible. If I want my camera to work, I have to keep my WiFi on.

I spent lots of time researching before we decided on FrontPoint. I imagined every possible emergency scenario we might ever encounter (I used to work in an emergency preparedness profession). The app is great! I love that I can review the history of my system: when armed, disarmed, by whom (when you have multiple users set), etc. I like that I can arm or disarm my system from the app, so if I forget to set it before I leave the house I can do it from my phone wherever I'm at.

From the first moment we called FrontPoint to purchasing and implementing our system, the process was painless. The FrontPoint team was friendly, extremely helpful with all our questions. We have had our system just over seven months now and our level of security has increased dramatically from our last security company. I have been extremely fortunate to not have had any unauthorized or attempted entry into my home, but feel very secure in the knowledge that FrontPoint is there! I have had two instances where I set my alarm and left my home for the day. In less than 45 seconds, I was contacted by FrontPoint asking if all was well because they had received an alarm from my home. The representative was thorough in asking all appropriate questions making sure I was the correct contact and very professional.
My most recent experience was even more reassuring. Again, alarm was set and I received a call first asking if I was all right and did I need assistance, police, etc. After giving appropriate info and verifying I was okay, I re-entered my home while the representative stayed on the line should I need assistance. All was well at my home. I will recommend Front Point to any family wanting a security system with such good service.
After having ADT Security for over 15 years, FrontPoint is a refreshing example of what customers should expect and receive for their money. Have been with Frontpoint Security for about 4 months now. I have been overall satisfied with the level of service I have received. For the most part, they have always been willing to resolve issues in a quick and efficient manner. Some improvements that would change my ranking with the company are: (1) Design main control box to go anywhere in the house. The fact that I cannot put it near a kitchen appliance due to interference with signal did not work well with my floor plan; (2) Pricing should be a little bit more competitive; and (3) The motion detectors are not as pet friendly as indicated by the company. Even if the pet is under 40 pounds, I have had my motion detector set off more than once by my pet that has created false panics when away from my home. Motion detectors need a better design for detecting human intruders and not small pets.

Frontpoint has always had a timely response any time the alarm was set off. It is easy to get a hold of a real person when they are called. The price is much better than other companies and setup was easy. It fulfills all of the requirements of a home/business security company and goes above that in customer care.

Everything has been great except that the alarm misfired once for no reason. That worries me a little.

We decided on FrontPoint due to the do-it-yourself setup. The configuration and setup of our system was quick and easy. There was no need to run wires or use tools to install the sensors. The sensors attach with simple double sided 3M mounting strips. The system is easy to use and easy to expand as needed. During our first year of service we were away at a wedding and received text notifications and a phone call from FrontPoint indicating the alarm was going off. I confirmed with Front Point that the fire department had been contacted due to a burst water main.
Without FrontPoint our basement would have been a total loss; instead, we only had to replace some carpet and areas of drywall. We recently expanded our system by adding additional sensors which was extremely easy. I made a quick call to FrontPoint when the sensors arrived and they stepped me through the installation process and 10 minutes later I had expanded the system and added 5 additional sensors. FrontPoint is great and the price is very good especially for all the features and capabilities you get over the competitors.

I read a review about FrontPoint Security shortly after we had our house burglarized. I had no experience with alarm systems but after speaking with them I felt confident in the items we purchased and my ability to self install. My phone contact with FP staff was always met with professionalism & competence. The alarm system is just what I expected and I've never had any problems with the equipment. I especially enjoy using the smart phone app. There are times my daughter has left the house and forgot to set the alarm... I am able to set the alarm remotely. Great product and exceptional customer service.

When we received the system it was easy to setup. We had a couple of issues with the sensors not fitting in the door jam properly but we were able to make it work without much problem. Customer support has been helpful along the way. We had one false alarm recently and the monitoring center called all of our numbers in an expeditious manner and dispatched help appropriately.

I bought a new house last winter and have since added some new windows and doors. Did I need to have my security company come out and rewire my system for me? No! I did it for myself with ease and with automatic confirmation that it works. I also love that I can track my system easily from across the country, and that I can get automatic overrides when I want to set it but don't want to close all windows. Thanks Frontpoint!

Especially early on customer support was right there all the way through the install. Any problems on my side were quickly explained and fixed. Front Point continues to support us only the way a good company would.
