    They're always there to answer the call and to help me. The individual that sold me the product helped me think through where and how to set it up. And then when I called Frontpoint to replace the sticky from the back of the monitors I got them within a couple of days. I think the outstanding service is what really would keep me going with them. I sound like I’m paid, don’t I, the spokesperson? Well, they were pretty darn good. I had a wired security system before I got Frontpoint and comparing the service between the two, it's night and day. Frontpoint is really great. Installing the device myself did make me nervous as we’d never done one where we had to set it up before, but it was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be.

    I've had Frontpoint for six months and it was very easy for me to install. I have been able to use the mobile app and I like that so far. I screwed up a couple of times, but their team has been great when I called them so I was very pleased. I just worry about knuckleheads who try to steal my stuff. The system is quite expensive but now that I have it, I feel better.

    It took 6 hours to install the device. I had 45 sensors to install and I couldn't get somebody to come out and do it. I'll pay for somebody to come do it, and they were like “We don't have people who do that.” which I thought was a little odd. But still I recommended it to my neighbor. She went to do it and she had the same experience so she ended up going with ADT instead because they wouldn't do the installation. So I think they are losing business on that front.

    A co-worker introduced me to Frontpoint and I've used them as my home security provider for over two years. Installing their security device is fairly simple and the ability to access and control the system on the go makes it very convenient.     It's been 4 years now that Frontpoint has been our home security provider. We chose them primarily because of the reviews people had of them. Their system was very easy to install. I use the mobile app everyday as it is absolutely essential for me to access and control the system on the go. I actually had several false alarms and I think the technical support finally did resolve that. They lowered the sensitivity on one of the motion sensors.

    However, I've had some situations where Frontpoint called me to report that the alarm was off but they did not clearly identify themselves as Frontpoint. I didn't speak about it to them but I found that funny - they always follow-up after an event. The password issue has also burned me at least once. I confuse my actual password and the one for the web app and they ended up notifying the police. I was told you only got one shot with the password then they'll call the police. Despite these, I would still recommend Frontpoint.

    It took me about 30 minutes to install the system. There was no problem at all. I had one unit that had some problems when I got it. I called them and they offered me a replacement and I got it two days later so it was all taken care of. And a couple of times with false alarms they will actually call me. It works and since it's cellular, I don't have to worry about it cause I got my phone with me. I've already recommended it to a couple of people in the neighborhood and I know at least one bought it.

    Frontpoint is wonderful. I have zero complaints. Every time we had to move we bought new equipment and stuff. Every time that I had to speak with somebody, everybody has been incredibly helpful and been very nice. I've never come across a rude person. The only thing that comes to mind is that they want me to sign a new contract but I'm really busy and I haven't gotten through it yet. But when the guy called me, he said "You'll get $150 and new sensors for signing another contract" but then I didn't see that on the contract that he sent. And then I sent an email and never heard anything back.

    We've been fairly happy with Frontpoint but it has been a little bit disappointing that all the little add-ons for each device cost so much money. It's a shame that we can't just pay a little bit extra as opposed to like a $30 to $40 charge to have a device hooked up to a lamp. Also, I would suggest or could hope for Frontpoint's alarm system to just seamlessly integrate with Nest. But right now, we're not going to go buy a different brand now that we already have the Nest and it seems to be compatible with way more devices anyway.

    I chose Frontpoint because they beat other security providers in terms of features and the price. Device installation was really easy, instructions provided were detailed and their mobile app is handy. It provides reassurance because you know what's going on at home even when you're not home.

    It was pretty simple and I could install it myself. I thought the installation was going to take a whole day but it only took about an hour tops. I have the app on my phone and I like it especially if we're on vacation. I can kind of keep an eye on things. Every year I just kind of get new stuff with it and you can keep adding a little bit. Last year we added and installed the flood sensor and the CO2. Then maybe next year I'll go to the video and go up to the next level.

    The toughest thing with having Frontpoint is training yourself to shut the alarm off when you can't get home. This just happened to us, we were doing some construction and I shut the system off but I forgot about the fire alarm and the CO2 while they were doing drywall work and it sent the alarm off. Frontpoint might want to make a note about this that there should probably be a warning (or maybe I missed it) that the fire alarm will go off because of the dust if they are doing some renovation in a house that got the system. My construction workers couldn't get it to shut off and then the fire department came out and scared them some more. But that's just something I did overlook. I should have taken the batteries out but I didn't. But other than that, it works and I have recommended it to a lot of people.

    Setting up with Frontpoint was very easy. I had an instance where my alarm kept going off and the guy talked me through it and how to fix it so that was great. When I needed the customer support on the two things that I needed their help with - one was to get the timing set up correctly and two, when I was having random alarms - they were extremely helpful and very fast in helping me resolve those issues. I did not have to wait online to get an answer and it was the first person I spoke to who helped me. I am extremely happy.

    Installing the Frontpoint device was fairly simple. The minor problems I had were resolved by just a phone call. I like their mobile app and accessing the system on the go is a must. I want to be able to control things when I'm not at home. Their staff were very friendly and I had no problem getting anything answered. The only issue I have is sometimes I call in just for a simple question and they want me to give them my security code and it's the kind of thing that you just don't readily remember. I'm coming up to the end of my contract period. I wish their cost isn't so high because there are alternatives on the market now with lower costs for wireless home security, and I think their cost is a little bit on the high side.

    I came across Frontpoint from doing an internet search and I came to the conclusion that it was probably the best choice after reading about its capabilities and what the experience had been for others. I have used it since the late fall of 2012. Our old one was fine but I needed something that was of a different service configuration, more internet and smartphone-based. I use it all the time on my Blackberry and that is a big time thing. It allows me to arm and disarm my system remotely before I get back to the house. It's a much cleaner system and I don't have to do as much monitoring. I'll get an email to my cellphone and desktop telling me if something does happen.

    Their staff was very helpful during the initial setup. They helped me decide what configuration I needed here that would work well, what cameras I needed, what kind of alarms and motion detectors. Periodically we run into some small issues that we had to work out but they have always been very good in trying to work that through. The only issue we probably haven't quite gotten resolved is looking at the live video on desktop. Generally it's been pretty good. For people who need a fairly comprehensive setup with cameras, motion detector, door and window alarms, remote access, and video, Frontpoint has always been a very good system. I would recommend them.

    I'd recommend Frontpoint but I don't know if they're competitive with the price. They tried to convince me that they are. When I got on the contract, it's a three-year contract so I can't opt out of this contract for another year. It's more expensive and I think they're overpriced but it has more features than the provider we had previously. We are able to arm our system while we're away which we consider as one of its benefits.

    Frontpoint is superior and less expensive than our previous provider. I've used their mobile app a lot of times and it is not as easy as the website because I have to type in my long security code every time whereas on the website, I can use a different app that stores the passwords. It's a little harder but once you're logged in, it's simple. We have a cabin that's two hours away and it allows me to control the alarm for other people coming to the house. Before that, I could not do it so Frontpoint helped out a lot. There was a time I called them because one of the sensors malfunctioned and they took care of it and taught me what to do.

    I did some research on the Internet looking for a cost-effective way for me to put in a home security system on a second home that I'm usually at and Frontpoint was one of those that came up. I chose to go with them because of the reviews I read on the Internet, the helpfulness of the people I spoke to, and their package price which I felt was the best. It was pretty easy to install the device. I just mounted all the devices and called up tech support, and everything's been fine since. It was the most painless setup that anyone could imagine. It went very, very easily, just like it said it would in the papers and the tech support was great.

    It's also very useful to have the mobile app and being able to access the system on the go. I had to do it the other day to let a neighbor in to reset a router and fix the networking problem I was having. I just disarmed the system and told him it was okay then I rearmed it when they left. I certainly don't have worries now that I have Frontpoint. I had to put a system in because my insurance company insisted on it, so my hand was forced in that respect but I'm glad that I have it. It adds a level of comfort and now, I'm a happy customer.

    I decided to use it because its online review was very good and because of the ability to control it from our smartphones. They have a mobile app that I use quite often. I've recommended it to a couple of my friends because of how easy it was for a do-it-yourself installation. Regarding our interactions with them, they're always very positive and helpful. I walk away from any of those request for help with a very positive feeling. When we first got it, we were out three or four times a week together for four or five hours at a time. We would regularly use our mobile phones to arm it after we left the house and disarm it just as we're coming home. We have since got into a habit of not arming it as often when we're away but it's also because we're not as regularly quite away as a couple. One of us is usually home or coming shortly after we leave. But it's been very good and reliable.

I had a lot of incidences but have been very lucky that I haven't had to use it other than turning it on and off. I've only had one time ever that somebody was going to come, watch my house, and keep the dog and the code went off. They called and I've had to say what my code was.

    I've had Frontpoint for about two years. It's better than my old system that was pretty good. I set it when I leave and unset it when I come home so I don't have much need to access it on the go. But the few times that I have realized that I left it unset or something it's been nice to be able to set it remotely through the mobile app. Early on when one of my motion sensors wasn't functioning properly the team at Frontpoint helped me work through that. They helped me test it and figured out what the problem was. I got a new one and got it all set up and everything has been fine ever since. It's a good system and the service has been good. It's fairly priced. It's been a pleasant experience and system the does what it needs to do.

    My experience has been very good with Frontpoint and I would recommend them to anyone. It was very easy installing their security device, but I'm a do-it-yourself type of person. I have their mobile app and I like it a lot, I'm more aware of what's going on in the house. We have other people living here besides my wife and myself so we're more aware because we hear the front door, the back door and the sliding door open. What I like is I get a warning when we lose power in the middle of the night or when I'm away from the home. I get a mobile alert that the house is without power and I like that feature a lot. Frontpoint provides the service as advertised and I've enjoyed being their customer.

    There was no problem installing the Frontpoint security device. We use its mobile app all the time. One thing I do like about it is when we leave the house, if we forget to set the alarm, it reminds us a couple of times. As a matter of fact it's rather insistent that we didn't do it. The only thing that I called in about is there's not a sensor available that lets you know there's a problem on that particular line. I was told there's no such thing available. We have a freezer in the garage and one time the power went off and we didn't know it and lost everything.

    I had inquired a couple of times about some door locks that would operate within the system. But everything is so do-it yourself and this may or may not work. That's a lot of bothersome. But one thing that's very positive is we've had this since the fall of 12, going on three years, and most of the sensors have their original batteries. I find it remarkable.

    I went to this security system in the first place is I had a long term partner who died. And so all of a sudden, my house is going to be alone more than it had been. So I needed some kind of security because I travel once in a while. I've been using Frontpoint for two years. I have never had a single complaint with what Frontpoint is doing for me now. It's been easy to use and install. I've called three time and the first one was when I accidentally activated the alarm and I want to make sure they turn it off, which they did. The second time was because I was going on a trip, so I wanted them to test the system because I haven't had an alarm. It was apparently fine. And the third time, I asked about the batteries in the devices because they said, there was going to come a time when we need to replace the batteries. They said they will tell me when to do that and how to do it. Overall, I'd recommend them because whatever they promise, they deliver.

    With Frontpoint I like that the hardware actually would co-exist with some home automation stuff out there, and the do-it-yourself aspect instead of having somebody come out to the house. I also like the idea of wireless and its smash and grab technology, so you can say wireless smash and grab. I have actually recommended them to 4 or 5 other people who became customers and I've always found the customer service really good.     I've had Frontpoint as my home security service provider for 2 years now. Installing it was totally easy, did it in probably 30 minutes or less. I also use the Frontpoint mobile app all the time. Being able to access and control your system on the go is the only way I want to have it because I travel for pleasure about 20 weeks a year and I want to know what's going on, and I use the -- how you can put in up to 9 people -- if they walk in and put it on their coat and you get a text telling you who's coming in, and I have 2 or 3, and that's the wonderful thing. In day to day life, I live in a fairly isolated place down in the woods and it feels very good to me when I leave for my trips that there is something monitoring that and letting me know what's going on. I do pay a significant amount monthly so I can have the text and all things that go with it, all the perks. It's a great system.

    I've been using Frontpoint since 2012. Its big selling point is that it connects wirelessly and the installation was really easy. I feel good knowing that I know when the doors are open because I can hear a little beep so I feel safer. It's been good, although, it's a little tricky with the sensor sometimes because my doors are shaped odd. Other than that, I like it. Frontpoint sent me a packet of different tapes to try and assume to have done the trick to get the sensors a little closer together. Also, their team members were all really good. There was only one time when we got a phantom ring and they weren't really able to help. But they did their best to try to figure out what caused it.

    I was very interested in getting a security system from Frontpoint however I ended up not purchasing the house I wanted. And then when I tried to send system back, after not evening opening the system, they stated I had to pay about 1000 just to cancel it. One, I never activated or was able to test it out. 2, I called before to get system cancelled but they stated I could get an extension for account. But when I got the news about not getting house, I wanted to cancel it and get my money back. Little did I know we would be having to pay even after not even using the system for a single day. I will never again recommend my family and friends to Frontpoint after this experience.

    Some family members had other service providers and have had a lot of problems with them off and on. Wiring was a main concern and I like the idea of the wireless Wi-Fi type of system and hooked up directly to a monitoring system through a Wi-Fi or a digital system. So there are no wires to cut outside if they want to break in. There were a lot of positives in my mind that’s why I decided to use Frontpoint over the other providers.

    The installation experience of the security device was painless and went very easily. I had the entire system in an hour and a half. The people you’re dealing with on the other end of the line, when you run into a snag, helped out quite a bit as compared to the others I’ve dealt with. In fact, we had a couple of questions about changing the brightness of the light at night when we first put the system in, the team from Frontpoint were very helpful in doing everything they could at their end. I have no complaints so far. I like the fact that I can go and see which doors are open when right on their website. No doubt, I feel safer and have fewer worries.

Frontpoint told us that the system would be rendered useless unless we transferred our service to our home purchaser. Not wanting to be their salesperson, we are now looking at an early termination fee of $640. This, even though we were moving out of the state.

    After my wife got bugged we got Frontpoint as our home security provider. We saw it had good ratings and comments when we looked it up on the internet. The gentleman that came out to install the system was very, very good and polite. It's been a little over a year now that we've had it. I use the mobile app all the time, usually so I could go back and look to see if the wife turned it on before she left. Sometimes the remote doesn't work if you get a little too far away so that's why I just use it to get verification. We've never had issues with the team members!     I was doing research in terms of security systems and Frontpoint had good customer views and ratings. Installing the system was really simple. I got it in a couple of days and called them after we've been adding some stuff that my wife wants. They have good customer service too. They're very, very nice and quick to respond so we've got no issues. The mobile app has been good. Originally their geo-fence really didn't work but they fixed it in and it's been fine. I think the only thing was that I would prefer if the mobile app when I turn on geo-fence knows that somebody is home or something. But I don't think that's possible. It's been very intuitive, easy to use and fast. My wife gets a good feeling of safety since it's installed. We've tested it several times and she's happy with the response.

    I was looking for security and found Frontpoint. When I Installed it, it was alright. It was easy and their team members were very helpful and were quick to help me. Since I have Frontpoint I am happy and I have the sign in the yard. I haven't had any break-ins when I had it installed which is a good thing. One time their staff tried to help me by telling me, "Clean it like this and put it up like that." But the pieces are heavy and they have an adhesive and after a while the little mechanism just falls off. One of them is sitting on the mantle. Another one is sitting on a bookshelf instead of being taped on the wall because the adhesive doesn't do the job. The pieces are too heavy and there's two of them.

    Overall I am satisfied with Frontpoint however one of their features that enable you to turn it on when you're in the home at night when you go to bed is not working.     Our neighborhood has a block watch and we meet with our police department once a month. I missed a meeting and one of the girls who went to the meeting called me afterwards and she said one of the discussions was on home security. I had ADT at the time. It was built into my condo and she mentioned that a few people she had talked to in the neighborhood had switched to Frontpoint because it was wireless and they thought that the price was better. The service was just as good as ADT, if not better. So I looked into it and I stopped ADT and purchased what I needed from Frontpoint. My son-in-law stuck it in the walls for me. Then I got the alarm.com app and one of the things you can put on your keychain so you can stand outside your door and lock or unlock it.

    I have no complaints at all. I haven't had to call for anything but a couple of times when my cats got a little frisky and I was using the "away" button when I left. I finally had to stop using that. So now when I leave the house, I put it on "stay" only because I have these huge cats. They're Maine Coon and they jump from chair to chair. They were setting off the motion detector. I got a call from Frontpoint and they say, "Your motion sensor went off."

    The first time this happened, I was 15 minutes away at my daughter's and I came flying home. I called my neighbor upstairs in the meantime and said, "Could you go down and just make sure nobody broke in? Just look and see if the door is open." It didn't look like anybody had broken in. So when I got there, I thought maybe the alarm just tripped. But about 3 days later, I got another call and that's when I started to think, "I wonder if it's the crazy cats because when I'm gone, I'm sure they're flying around all over the house." So I stopped using the "away" button and use the "stay" one. I haven't had any problems since then. Customer service has always been delightful. The young lady who sold me the system was very, very nice and fully explained everything so I'm very happy with Frontpoint. It's easy, they're responsive, and their equipment works just fine.

    I chose Frontpoint as they were wireless and financially better, and the installation was relatively simple. I got in touch with their team when I got a couple of problems with the sensors going out. Apparently the batteries die when it's cold. The battery in the garage went dead and the alarm thing was wrong so they called me. They were professional and nice... very helpful. The alarm is at my sister's house around the corner, but they call me if they're seeing problems or the alarm goes off. But it's usually something dumb like the boys forgot to turn off when they walk in the door or something like that.

    People at Frontpoint were always pleasant and very knowledgeable. I would recommend them, and I don't recommend too many places because I'm a grumpy old woman.

    Frontpoint was relatively affordable in terms of their monthly fees and the installation was something I could do myself. It's all wireless so somebody can't come and cut a wire and disable the system. I like all of those things. Their customer service people answer their phone almost immediately every time you call them and are very helpful. They do everything that they say they're going to do. I haven't talked to them a lot because I haven't had to but whenever I have, it has been nothing but positive. I've had Frontpoint as my home security service provider for a little over a year now.     My brother is a Frontpoint customer and when I moved to this house, we were talking about alarms one day and he told me about the Frontpoint security system and recommended it. I was looking for an alarm system so I signed up with them based on his recommendation, and it has been about three years now since using them.

    Installing the device is easy and straightforward. And I have the mobile app on my phone so that when I'm away, I could monitor things a bit. I use that app pretty much almost every day. From time to time I've interacted with the Frontpoint reps. I call them because when I first got the system compared to now, it has grown a lot in terms of more sensors. When I first got it, I had a few of my windows covered and the main front and back door. But then as time went on, I did my house two stories so I had more sensors on my upstairs windows, and each time I had to deal with the Frontpoint folks.

    There was only one time when I dealt with a frontline person that really upset me due to the way he handled the call. But that was only one person out of probably 10 to 15 people I've talked with over the years. That's why this one stood out a bit because I was so surprised the way he was behaving on the phone and, in fact, I interrupted the call and hung up on him.

    The Frontpoint system is far more reliable compared to the wired security system we have in our home in England. I never get false alarms with Frontpoint and it's just much easier to operate. We travel a lot so I find the the mobile app handy as it allows me to check on what's going on at home. I had to call their team for advice on a couple of things when we were first setting it up and they were very helpful. I feel more secure having this system around. When you live in an urban area you're always a little concerned about safety so I think Frontpoint has been very helpful. I just think the monthly fee for the monitoring services is too high so it would be better if it were lower, but I guess that comes with the territory.

    I've had a good overall experience with Frontpoint. They always called back. And when you call them, it's easy to get to somebody. The only problem I have is regarding some of their knowledge on their actual hardware like door locks. I spent hours on the phone with them and they found out that they didn't give their tech people the versions of door lock that would work with our unit. Now they do. They now have a list and have the firmware version of what works with their system.

    Frontpoint has a remarkable customer service which is a big difference with our previous provider. Installing it was a lot easier than I thought. I always use the mobile app to set my alarm and that was a big seller - to be able to access and control the system on the go. It's wonderful. The team members have been pleasant when I call. I feel safer since I've had them. The only thing I don't really care about Frontpoint is how they've changed their website where they don't have the prices of the products anymore.     So far my experience with Frontpoint is good and I am satisfied with them. The only critique I have is for a specific device. Its panel is not the main one, it's separated from it and I did have issues with it like losing connection and the overall entity seems to be a little clunky. But I don't really do much with it so it's okay. There were some really silly things where you should be able to put in announcements and words, example it would say "back door" or "front door" and have it say it out when it happens. But there's some limitations on what it could do like you have to compromise and just come up with words that would seem to mean something but it's not the actual thing so you couldn't really specify what you wanted to say when something opens up. That's the only weird thing, it's just a little unfinished.

    I think Frontpoint just works with what's available. And I don't think they designed that part, the manufacturer makes it and they just provide the service which was excellent. Whenever I have issues, they quickly resolved it. I don't have any issues with Frontpoint in terms of support or technical advice or how it works. It's been very smooth. Better than other companies I have to deal with and the devices are very good except for that one panel -- it's just poorly designed.

    We decided to use Frontpoint because everything's online. It's pretty easy to do and we didn't have to have someone come in our house and have the pressure on us like we had before. ADC is a little more high pressure. So we got something on our own. We've had Frontpoint as our security device going on 3 years now. It was very simple to set up. However, I keep getting a message error on one of my windows and part of it is because we just moved into this house. It's a new house and we transferred our system here so we don't have everything hooked up yet. So it was just a matter of a few sensors that the system was used to. We haven't contacted customer service yet about that...it's just a matter of me getting the time to do that.

    Since installing the security device, I actually don't worry as much about our home's security. We were broken into at our other house and we did have Frontpoint then. However, the robbers broke into a bathroom window that wasn't monitored and since then, we made sure those windows are locked. Frontpoint did call to alert us because the robbers opened the door to leave. But earlier in the week the door had blown open so we said, "No, it's just a false alarm," and then when we got home we found out that we did get robbed. The alarm worked fine and it was more of an error on our part. We really learned from that experience. Everything's good so far, knock on wood. Once I get the system up here dialed in, it would be smooth sailing from here.

    I was looking for non-intrusive security system and Frontpoint was simple that I can do it myself without having someone come and wire it up. I am using the alarm app it is linked to and it is good as long as it doesn't fall in the wrong hands. I think it's pretty cool.     I did my own research on alarm systems online. Through reviews and other sources, I came to the conclusion that Frontpoint is the right choice for me. I like that I could self-install and that it's a wireless device. That means if I moved I could take it with me. Some of the home automation features that they have built-in were intriguing for me too. But most of all, their app control feature was a critical factor for me to decide to go with them because I really like the idea that I can control the system from my phone. It’s probably the most important thing to me, or at least the thing I enjoy the most.

    I had a couple of technical issues sure but with Frontpoint I definitely feel safer. Our first false alarm was a couple of months ago and they helped me troubleshoot it. When I did the install, I got some help with the automation lights to get it to work correctly as well. I just like knowing that my home is secure. The lighting automation enables me to setup lights to turn on at random times while we're on vacation so it looks like someone's home. The system also allows me to give guest codes to relatives so if they need to come into our house they have their own code so I can enable and disable that as needed. We've just been really happy with the service, and the app seems to have improved so that's been great. I recommend them to people all the time.

    I have been a loyal ADT customer. When we first moved into our house, we had ADT wire up our house in September of 2000. When times got tough, in 2004-2005, we cancelled our ADT use to save money. In Jan/Feb 2015, we started to see what would be involved to restart our ADT system back up. ADT was our first choice. The rep from ADT came out and sold us on upgrading our "apparently" older wired system, and we were sold, until they talked price! That's when I started to research the best home alarm systems out there. Frontpoint kept coming up as the best in most reviews. I spoke with a rep from Frontpoint and was never pressured to use them. That impressed me. Then after researching more and more, and price shopping with other systems out there, I wanted to try them out.

    Frontpoint also gave me a 2-month trial, versus a 1-month. That impressed me as well. I installed the system myself. VERY EASY. Please keep in mind, there are many variables that cause sensors to NOT WORK the way described. So distance from there main controller needs to be kept in mind. Ours worked flawlessly right out of the box! We have had Frontpoint for only 1 1/2 months mind you, but so far so good! Customer service is great! Their support people are great! And I was VERY happy on their pricing versus what ADT wanted to charge. No regrets with this company WHATSOEVER!!

    I called Frontpoint to inquire on a system and felt pressured into "a no risk trial". In going through all the details, I was advised that I would be charged $42.99 for the month of February (even though there would only be couple days left in the month). When I asked about that, the salesperson told me he would expedite the system to me at no extra charge. (No extra charge is key here!). He did not tell us that if we returned the system that they would take the $25 out of our refund!!! ("No Extra Charge" to me means the balance of what I am paying would be for the system!!!) Once I received the system, I changed my mind because I did not like the bulkiness of the keypad and didn't want it always sitting on our kitchen counter. I didn't even take anything out the the box, and returned the system the next day. When Frontpoint credited my credit card back, it was $64.99 less than what I had paid.

    I called to inquire and after waiting a day (so they could look into it), I was told they would credit me an additional $39.99, but not the $25 expedited shipping. Normally, I understand that I would pay the shipping, but in this case, I feel that Frontpoint should have made more of an effort in customer service. I did not ask for the expedited shipping - nor did I need it!!! I was not in a hurry to receive the system. I feel the original salesperson should have suggested shipping the system on March 1st, thus beginning the monthly charge at that time. I feel that in an effort to make a sale (or for whatever reason), he was trying to push to get me to sign the contract that day. I understand that Frontpoint (as well as other business do not refund shipping), but in the instance they should've made an exception because I'm not the one who asked for expedited shipping!!! We ended going with another company, which by the way, the salesperson was very helpful and there was absolutely no pressure. We are very pleased with our choice. I recommend that you take into consideration how a company treats its customers and potential customers when making your decision.

    Frontpoint got me through a difficult time. They kept me safe from some hi-tech perpetrators. A couple of times the criminals were able to get in and steal from me, but it wasn't because of Frontpoint that they got in. They got into the utility room of my apartment building and took some wiring. There's about 50 apartments in this building and they all have a circuit running to each apartment and they took some of the wires out of it and that was just my AC outlet and so my Frontpoint system wasn't working but we got it fixed.     We got Frontpoint in August of 2013. I had my brother-in-law help me with it. It's easy to fit things on the wall but I had no idea where the proper location was.     Spoke to rep who followed written spiel and determined equipment needed for my home. I had to convince him I needed a motion detector for the master bedroom which is in a separate area and able to be accessed by a window off the front porch. The package was to contain control panel, 4 door, 4 motion and 2 smoke detectors. He gave me a price of $367 for equipment. Told him I would discuss with my husband after gathering info. Within 15 min "sales mgr" called me and said price would be 99.95. So I decided to try it. When box was opened no smoke detectors. When I called I was told they were not included due to the lower price. I told them to review the recording -- nothing was said about reducing the equipment pkg. Then I offered 1 "free" smoke detector and I would need to purchase a second one. I told them I was cancelling them as I do not deal with that type of business practice.

    So then I was told they would send the 2 smoke detectors and extend the trial period 15 days. Okay with reservations. Then my brother-in-law and I started the installation. We tried the motion detector in every room in various spots and found they were not responding very well. I could walk all over the room and not get picked up. Called customer service and received advice to install the 4-5 ft from floor. We did and spent literally hours determining the best spot to pick up movement. It was really apparent they were not anywhere as responsive as the sensors in our old system which responded immediately whenever someone entered the room.

    Then we did trials with the alarm system on. I made loops around the house entering and crossing every room in front of the motion sensors.The response was erratic at best. Of the four motion sensors sometimes 1 would work sometimes 2, almost never all four and sometimes none of them responded. I am 5 feet tall. They would pick up my brother-in-law who is 6'5" if he was standing up. But he could go all around the house on his hands and knees and never get picked up. I have been burgled once and they can grab a lot of stuff and be long gone before the cops get anywhere near. So I am returning everything. Those motion sensors are crap. And their business practices questionable.

    We are gone quite often so we put Frontpoint system in. It works quite well, especially the video access for those that we need to have come in when we're not there, because they're able to get in to do work. I can set up the alarms for that on the mobile app. Our home is in the colder climate so we have things in there to protect it from frost and from freezing the pipes and for also letting us know if there's any water leaks or anything like that. It notified me a couple of times when it detected some moisture and I had someone check the house. The person who was checking my house had a little bit of snow and their hat fell near the detector and it went off. That's how good it works!

    The Frontpoint rep says (over the phone and email) they will honor a free month of service for me and anyone I referred to Frontpoint. Also I will get a $100 Amazon gift card for every customer I refer. I so referred two new customers to Frontpoint and the headache began. The initial install for the first referral customer went bad as they shipped us missing parts for the installation. The antenna was missing from the wireless camera and there was no battery in one of the glass break sensor. We expressed the urgency of getting a security system up ASAP and this happened. This caused a delay in getting our house "fully and completely" secured because we had to wait for the missing parts to arrive.

    For the Amazon gift card, you would have to make repeated calls to ask for it. And when you do, they will say they have no record of promising the gift card. So I have to forward all the emails from the Frontpoint rep with proof in writing so they can put it into their system in order to honor it. You would think all this should have been entered into the system from the start of the initiation (account setup) process. So after multiple calls and emails to follow up on my gift card, finally after a few months, I received it.

    And for the free month of service that I and my two referrals should have gotten? Till this day (5 months after), we still have NOT received the free month of service. After many calls explaining the situation and expressing my concern, Frontpoint has NOT made any effort into the what is called “Bait and switch” scheme and has not corrected the issue.

    I have mixed emotions with accessing and controlling our system on the go, because security is always the last consideration in any application, be it phone or desktop or anything else. I used to work in the security business and it's always a hard sell to get anybody to spend money on security. It's traditionally a weak point and the convenience may be offset by the potential problems. But I find their customer support to be good. The monitoring people have called us a few times, helped us through a couple of things where we had to de-install a sensor because we had our front door replaced and then put it back and I didn't get it back correctly because I was in a hurry. So they worked with my wife to diagnose the problem and get it right.     I had fine service and no issues for a year and a half. In December 2014 I needed to replace a magnet on my front door so I ordered a replacement. This was sent to the wrong address despite changing my address multiple times. I then had a false smash and crash alarm a month later, Frontpoint suggested I mount my control panel higher than the 64 inches off the ground it was mounted. They blamed my location and type of house (row house) on the issues despite not having problems for 18 months and suggested I place my control panel in a bedroom window upstairs until they could send me a new one.

    They then sent the control panel to the wrong address again so I never received it, had to call again and they sent me another one to the right house. This panel did not have good reception either so they sent me a different phone board to connect to it. This did not increase the reception so they suggested keeping it upstairs and asked me to buy a control panel touch screen or voice remote to place near the door. I refused to pay for something because their faulty equipment wouldn't work, they argued and went back and forth tried to convince me to use a key chain remote and leave it by the front door so when people entered they could disarm it that way (not the smartest suggestions since anyone could break in and disarm it with the key chain remote). They finally agreed to pay for the talking remote so I could arm and disarm my alarm with codes at my front door.

    I have had to call back three times to get the reimbursement for my alarm not being functional for over a month. I received a $75 fine from the city for the faulty alarm and Frontpoint said they would reimburse me for this fine and today was my third call to get this and they are still "reviewing the request" because the other requests had been denied and no one called me to tell me this. I also called today because without warning or a bill, or any contact from Frontpoint I was charged $238, a direct debit from my bank account, for the panel they sent me in January that I never received because they delivered it to an address I no longer live at. This reimbursement is also under review and since there is no billing system for a customer to check I have to be the one to call back in to check the status of this review and request.

    So I now have an alarm that is up a flight of stairs and at the end of a hallway away with a remote by my front door that you can never tell if it is armed or disarmed by looking at it. Also when you walk in the house the control panel is so far away you can't hear it beeping because it is so far away. So dog walkers or friends or family members often trigger the alarm without knowing it because they can't hear the beeping to prompt them to disarm or arm the alarm. This has been three full months of disappointments, waste of my time, and I really hope I get my $313 refunded/reimbursed.

    The equipment Frontpoint uses is the cheapest on the market. While the motion sensors are okay, the door/window sensors are the poorest quality you can find. After the initial setup, I would purposely unplug without first disabling it, testing their monitoring system. There were occasions I never received a call from the monitoring department at all. Many, many nights, we were were awakened by the beeping of a rogue door sensor. One night in particular, after the sensor woke us, my wife unplugged the control box - WITHOUT first disabling it - threw into the garage. We never got a phone call from the monitoring department. Oh, the system has been in a box ever since. We're yet to get that phone call.

    Wait, actually Frontpoint did call me NUMEROUS times after that, about 8 times in a 1-week period. Seems the the credit card used for billing had been declined. My card had to be changed due to the Home Depot breach. There is 36 months contract, too. I highly advise against this company if you need quality home monitoring.

    When I was interested in looking for home security systems, I went on Consumer Reports and it looked like Frontpoint was rated as number one for ease of installation and customer service. Indeed, installing my device was simple and I had everything up within 30 minutes. Customer service is great. I always get a live person on the other line immediately. And they gave me the first 30 days option where I was activating the system from my phone. But for the ease of it and to keep the cost down, I opted not to have the mobile app anymore.

    There were a couple of alarms where I had the motion detections on in the house and my dog might have triggered the motion. I got the phone calls and the police responded immediately.     With Frontpoint, you can do the installation yourself. And it was a wireless system -- you didn't hook it in to your phone system. It uses cellular service versus a wired home system. The mobile app gives us a lot of flexibility, like if we're not home, our son would be able to get into the home without contacting us. They're easy to work with too. There's a particular room that we wanted to have separate from the rest of the home and our safe so that when you set the alarm, those rooms are still protected even though the doors and windows are off the system. Their team worked with us on getting us what we needed. They helped us with problem solving. We feel more relaxed when we leave the home knowing that there is some protection from Frontpoint.

    I think one of the greatest things about Frontpoint is the expandability of it. The system is so great that it's easy to expand upon. In fact, I want to order another couple set of contacts to go on an outer shed on our property. So the ease of extending it and also the fact that it's wireless make it very, very simple for a DIY project. I have since enhanced the system and added some things to it, and spoke to a couple of different people at Frontpoint throughout that process. The only downside that I had was I was very interested in putting a remote thermostat control in the house but they sent me to a third party. They had some recommendations and they were happy to share that with me but they didn't offer the products themselves. But other than that, I have no complaints. I have bragged about this system with anybody that I speak to since bringing it in. We really like it a lot and I've already recommended it to several friends.

    The house that I bought had a preexisting alarm system but they had priced out their options for me and it didn't seem very appealing. But Frontpoint, I like.     I'm now more comfortable about being away from home thanks to Frontpoint. I work out of town -- I'm a fireman. I live about 42 miles from where I work so when I'm gone, I'm gone for 24 hours at a time. My wife wanted to get an alarm system so she was researching and looking through different ones. We didn't get a response from other companies until we came across Frontpoint. We liked their pricing so we went with them.

    I particularly like their mobile app which I use all the time. I use it to check up and see if the girls are home or not and I can tell who came in and who left. On my phone, I can look and see the history of when they open and close the doors, and when they left and set the alarm, and when they got back and turn the alarm off. I use it to turn the alarm system off on my way home so that I won't have to do it when I come in the door. If I leave for work first and then my wife and daughter leave for school later, I'll check to make sure if they have set the alarm or not. In some cases, I've used it to activate my alarm because I was going to be out of town. I've monitored it when I was on vacation just to make sure it's still set and there were no issues.

    I went on the computer and punched in "number one security" -- they were the first one to come up. That's how I found out about them. I've used Frontpoint as my home security service provider for two years. It's an excellent system; as a matter of fact, they give you something else you can add to that. I had a panel battery go bad in the sensor, called them up, and they shipped it out free of charge. Their service has been excellent. I highly recommend them.

    Overall system is good and easy to set it up. Until I tried to switch from 3 year to 1 year contract. Already paid $120+ for equipments, and I email and called. They told me that they'll get back to me. After 3 weeks later they said it was too late because my trial period is over. I explained that I tried to do this 3 weeks ago, "we'll call you back" again. A week later, he said they can change it to 1 year contract, but I'll have to pay additional $275 for equipments. After all these waiting, I can't even back out now because trial is over. They planned this all along. I know ADT isn't as good, but they never charged me anything for equipments before. I even referral front point to my neighbors, but I guess I need to warn them.

    Somebody at social services did a research about Frontpoint for me. I have used it for almost two years now. I like the mobile app and use it all the time.     I went into Google and looked up the most reliable, most wireless systems, and Frontpoint came up in the top three. When I had researched it originally, I was looking at all the positives and negatives of the system itself. I was reading the testimonials and I come to find out that Frontpoint seem to be pretty good. They had the 30-day trial so I did it for 30 days and I was quite pleased. I live on a dead-end street, and the house that I reside in is like summer homes in a way so living in a dead-end street by myself, I wanted to have the most amount of security as I could, and Frontpoint's system is pretty affordable. I got the system relatively fast and installation is easy: I simply peeled off what I needed to, and I stuck it where I needed to. The only problem that I had was with my front door; the frame is not set right and there's something wrong with the frame but I only had to call the call center to activate it.

    My parents go to my house a lot to take care of my dog because I work very far from home, so if I'm at the office late, sometimes they have to go take out my dog, and I just shut off the alarm right from work. I hardly even use the pin pad itself because I usually use the phone to activate and deactivate the system. At one point though there was a sensor that wasn't working and I had to call to order more sensors cause I wanted more security. They replaced the one sensor problem that I had right away and the additional sensors that I wanted for my windows were mailed to me immediately. And they call me right away if the alarm goes off by accident so their response is good.

    The only thing that I don't like is the automatic system. It takes a long time to get to a representative. You have to go through a whole process where every time I call the call center, I always had to put in my information and I get transferred to another agent that I have to again give all this information to. But other than that, the system's great and works really well and they have good response which makes it a really positive experience for me.

    My wife is having problems with her Frontpoint phone interface with the control panel where we live. I don't understand it because we were in Arizona and we had better performance from getting a hold of their control panel than we do in Tuttle, Oklahoma right outside of our home. We contacted them and they reset the panel a couple of times and they remove the app from our phone and we go ahead and reinstall it.

    And when she tries to disable or enable the security system from her phone she tells me that everything works and then later on she comes home and she finds the panel inactive. I'm not sure how that happened. I'm trying to figure out if there's an operator error that's going on. When you push buttons on your application, it registers on the history and when I talked to the tech from Frontpoint, I indicated that there wasn't a time when she had pushed that button when she's saying she had pushed the button.

    My wife's not happy and wanted to change it but I'm happy with Frontpoint. Everything is working--when the alarm goes off, usually accidentally, somebody's always calling to make sure we're okay and I appreciate that.

    Very satisfied on ALL sensors. BUT the camera is not great. Pricey and set up was ok with help from rep (20 mins). Not a true "motion" sensor. It detects pixel change from the 3-motion windows you set up. Still, I'm happy with the overall system.

    Frontpoint has the top reviews on the majority of the webpage that I was searching. Also I like the self-installation--for me that's what sold it. A lot of these other companies wanted to charge a hundred bucks to install a wireless system but with Frontpoint I found the installation very simple that it took only a half hour to do the whole thing. I also like the mobile app especially if I’m lying in bed and I forgot to do the alarm.

    The only thing I’d like to see added to the app would be a panic button. I would also like to see the next generation box be a little louder because I have a two-storey house and from upstairs, it’s hard to hear the alarm. My only other complaint is my alarm went off when I forgot to lock the garage door into my house. When the alarm went off, they called. Online, I put in which sensor belongs to which door or window but they were unable to give me that information. Online, when I log in, it shows the kitchen door, the south window, etc. but they were unable to tell me that.

    Apart from that, I have fewer worries now. I’m a police officer and I have a police car in the front and I feel a little bit more secure and my fiancée does as well when I’m not home. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint. I had to reorder some stickers, upgraded and got a couple more sensors and through all that, they were professional.

    We had a hard-wired system before we got Frontpoint. In the sense of remote capability and wireless, Frontpoint is obviously significantly better. In terms of coverage and how the wired sensors work, there are some benefits of my other system because the sensors were a little bit better. And cost is not cheap. It is much higher than what I paid for the wired system. But overall, Frontpoint is really nice. All the benefits outweigh the negatives.

    Installing was pretty easy. It took us a couple of hours to do it. We had some issues and they were able to help us through some of the technical issues we were having with some of the motion sensors. We use the mobile app daily, and it was a big part of our decision. Having a remote capability to where you can actually not only check things out and see what’s going on but you can actually turn it on and turn it off has been useful for us.

    We decided to use Frontpoint because of the relatively low cost and the ease of setup. It's all self-service. You call a help number just to get it activated or if you have any questions. They go through pretty vigorous testing to actually make sure it's working. I got to talk to their support team during my initial setup and when I updated my credit card information once from them. They are super communicative and good.

    I use the mobile app all the time. It's great because a lot of times I forget to set my alarm until like an hour later. But there are a couple of interactivity features that I'm still waiting on like being able to change your account information online.
