    I've had Frontpoint home security for about a year and a half and they are definitely a lot better with the cellular service than my previous provider. And installing the Frontpoint security system was fairly simple and very easy because you just put the contacts on and the representative walked you through exactly everything about the startup and setup, and the system has worked fantastic. And it's great to be able to access the system remotely. Although there were some dead spots where there was no cellular service, but that's not really common.

    Installing the system was very easy, although, one of the window sensors that has the double stick tape fell off and I had to put a couple of stick tapes to stick them back on the wall. Other than that, it's been fine. We like the advantage of being wireless so we can check on things. Our previous provider was just a local company and were basic where they tape everything. With Frontpoint, we use the phone app for the system all time and we have a little more peace of mind when we check online. Overall, Frontpoint provides excellent service and I've already recommended them to our neighbor.

    I've had Frontpoint for about a year and a half since I bought a house. Installing the security system was easy to do and the service person on the other end was very helpful. I have the regular alarm and I love the fact that it's portable and I can take it with me. The other ones that I've used in the past were all wired to the house. Overall, I definitely feel safer with Frontpoint security system. I've told a few people about it and I think they've signed on.

    Before using Frontpoint, we had a local database provider's system built into our home. Soon we had enough problems with that system so we shut it down and transferred to Frontpoint. It was recommended to me by a friend who had installed it himself. I'm 5 feet tall and my borders are mostly 80 inches so installing the device was a little fun - I used ladders and the process turned out fine since the directions were nice and clear. I did have a few questions at the beginning but they were answered very well by their team. I also found their website to be very helpful.

    We've been with them for two years now. When our Frontpoint system was working smoothly, it was terrific and we loved it, especially the online access, being able to see what's going on using my phone. I think mobile access is crucial now, particularly when the home owners travel - it's really essential to be able to have access remotely to the system and get reports from it. I definitely feel better about leaving the house empty when we go on vacations. Frontpoint provided me an experience that was easy, efficient, and effective. We have been having some difficulty with the system and have been meaning to call them. However as soon as I talk to a technician and figure out the glitch on our system, I think we will be a hundred percent about them. Overall, we've been happy with the system thus far.

    The phone feature and the fact that I can easily install it myself were the reasons I went with Frontpoint as my home security provider. I've been using them now for close to a year and a half.     I first got to know about Frontpoint from TheWirecutter.com, a technology review site. Installation was straightforward; mounting the device on the ceiling is a little tricky but it's mainly due to me not wanting to mount it there in the first place - nothing to do with Frontpoint. I've been with them for a year-ish and I'm quite surprised about the caliber of people that they have. It's unusual to find people that good in those sorts of roles. It's a must for me to use their mobile app since it's how I interact with the system. Them being an online-only company, it's helpful that I've been able to get stuff really quickly when I need it.

    Frontpoint is a good thing to have. Determined burglars are gonna get in no matter what but I realize that their system provides a level of security that gets rid of the lowest common denominator kind of criminals. I would like it if they had more affordable advanced features like video cameras though. Frontpoint does have these advanced features but I feel like their price point is so high that I would much rather prefer pursuing solution from another provider than them. If they're more in line with other providers in the market for those features, then I would be all about them. It's also annoying for us that the little keypad they have is so bright. It really lights up the entire living area of our house at night. It would be helpful if there's a way to turn that off.

    The first system Frontpoint gave us is not sensitive and we had lots of problem with it. It was designed for detection if I put it at a chest height but that gives me no visibility and a lot of time, one can crawl underneath it and enter the house without being detected - I tried it myself. They also didn't offer any help in setting it up. Moreover, the three-year contract period is too long and I cannot get to get out of it. The price may be low but it doesn't do the job.

    I don't think the other system which has the image and devices for the window and inside the hallway works very well for me too. The door alarm does work since it's magnetic, but overall I'm not sure the system does the job. I also didn't get much help from a Frontpoint technician for this either. They go very fast and were insistent on going. The Frontpoint guys who came said that the equipment can be put on the ceiling for better detection and visibility, but I think they're not good for my high ceiling.

    The tapes for their equipment fall off too soon. Since I live in Arizona which is a dry place, the devices don't stick to the wall, thus I have the glossy tape. One of the devices is lying on the ground however and tends to go off, so somebody from Frontpoint has to come soon to fix it. I also had a opportunity to compare Frontpoint when I saw a friend of mine's system. At one point in time, I was about to get out of my contract with Frontpoint but the switching cost is really heavy. Frontpoint is not the company to go for someone like me.Frontpoint's monitoring system was made from the same company that my old monitoring system came from - Frontpoint didn't disclose the fact either, which was misleading. I wouldn't recommend them to anybody, my old system would have done a better job.

    I heard about Frontpoint from a friend and I eventually got them as my home security provider. Installation of the device was pretty easy, with their team members being friendly and able to answer all of my questions. I feel a little bit safer and have peace of mind when I come to work now that I have Frontpoint. It seemed to have everything that I was looking for as well as ease of installation. I could install it myself without hiring someone to do it.     I've used a couple of different home security providers before like ADT and a local company but Frontpoint's customer service was really good and I could pick the components that I want and install it myself which was really simple. I've used Frontpoint for 3 years already. The customer agent stayed with me on the phone during the whole process and if there was troubleshooting that needed to be done, they were right there. By the end of the phone call, I had a system and it was communicating with central office. It reminds me if I do forget which seems to work really well. Just knowing if they come and cut the phone lines and cut the power lines, it's still gonna work. All in all, it's a good company. They have a good product and seems like they continue to add more products to the product line. This makes it easier to use and covers more exposure.

    I'm using Frontpoint for a little over a year now and it's my first security provider. It was all weird because I just installed it myself. I'm all thinking it's like cable and I was expecting somebody to come in, but it was easy. I just set it on and it works, the whole motion thing. And then calling was easy. The frontpoint team was friendly. But I think it's scary to have control using an app on my phone because what if someone deactivates it and if they figure out my password and I don't know how to fix it.

    Frontpoint is just what I needed. I have less anxiety about things. It's pretty cool, I could just leave it like that. The alarms are on anyways. My alarm went off a couple days ago and they called me. That was cool that they actually responded. I should probably trip the alarm just in case. But then I always forget and leave too early so I don't wanna wake up the neighbors. Its pretty precise about dispatching the police when the alarm goes off.

    Frontpoint is a very good company. They're very "customer-centric" and have done a good job for me. After we identified what type of products we needed for my house, they got to me in a couple of days and then walked me through how to set up the system. Ultimately, I had one challenge with one of its elements but I called them up and they sent me a new one, and got it all taken cared of so it was easy. It's very beneficial to be able to remotely manage the system. Having the ability to do that and that flexibility works out very well. But I haven't done it much. I would just set it and go if I need to. Because of the system I have a lot greater comfort level knowing that if there was an issue we would know about it as opposed to walking into a house not knowing what to expect.

    After talking to my friend who had experience with other home security providers and switched to Frontpoint, I investigated the company and decided to go with them. I talked to them and consulted about what kind of system and capabilities I needed. They were very helpful, informative, reasonable, and didn’t try to oversell me something I wasn’t ready for. Then the installation process, which was very easy. I had it up and running in 30 minutes, and their team was also patient. It took 3 rounds of calls to decide what I wanted to do but they were there, and they let me decide on my timetable.

    I was able to try their interactive features too, and I like that capability since it’s convenient to check in case I can’t remember if I armed my device or not when I leave, but more importantly, if I was away from home, traveling, I can disarm it for a brief time because somebody’s coming to my house, and if I want, I then can rearm it by giving the code out or I can set up a special code for them too as an alternative. I like the flexibility of being able to do that when I’m away, and I’ve been very pleased so far. I’d recommend them.

    I'm very satisfied with Frontpoint. But I had to pay somebody to come out here and install it because Saint Louis has additional rules about installing security systems. All I did was take off the stickers and stick them where I was told. After the installer left, I moved a couple because they were falling off, so that sucked. I could've very easily done it myself. But since having the alarm system, my sense of security has improved. I use the system through the app and it's very convenient.

    I've used Frontpoint for almost two years. I had ADT before in Maryland and since it was difficult for me to get ADT in the new home and Frontpoint was available, I chose Frontpoint. The installation wasn't as easy as I thought, but once I had a girl friend helped me and that was good. Also, their representatives are all very nice, supportive and spend a lot of time with me on the phone. They're good, answered all my questions and available when called. I've also tried arming or disarming from my computer or phone and that's quite easy.

    We've been a Frontpoint user for about a year and we're happy with it. Installation was easy and their team has been good. Whenever we have an alarm or something goes off, they call very promptly and they've been very helpful with any kind of issues we've had with alarms. With regards to camera, I have a camera system as well so I kind of use those in conjunction with one another and I really like the ability to look at my cameras and then be able to turn on if somebody forgot to turn on the alarm. I can look at the camera to see if somebody is there and if they're not, I can turn it on safely and know that I'm not going to have a false alarm, so that's kind of nice. The mobile app is awesome too. That's a great feature. I do feel more secure since installation of this Frontpoint system.

    I've had Frontpoint for six months now. I've had ADT before, but I like Frontpoint better because they're more responsive and have a lot more camera coverage and coverage inside, and I get more value for money. I was really busy so I had people who set up systems to install the device. Although they don't normally set wireless systems, they still did everything they can to set it all up, and they like the system as well. Now having the Frontpoint system installed, I've never had any false complaints.

    I used Frontpoint mostly when I'm out of town. I used to have ADT for three or four years, but I prefer Frontpoint. My son, who lives in Houston, was the one who recommended them and set up everything.     I was researching and found that Frontpoint was a good option for my house so I trusted them. I have been using them for about six months now.     I went on the internet and saw that Frontpoint was number one so I got them as my home security provider and been with them for more than a year.     We've had Frontpoint for a year now but we've always had a dog and I never felt the need to have a security system other than when we didn't have dogs. Installing their security device was easy and simple and everything was labeled and the directions were easy to follow. However, I need to talk to Frontpoint reps since we have a small dog now. I may be wrong, but they had told me that a small dog couldn't set off the alarm. I'm not able to use it much now except at night and I don't like that so I have to see if that's a possibility since I don't want him setting it off. Nevertheless, they are very easy to talk to and work things out if you have a problem. I'm very pleased with the service so far.

    William, great point! Our system is compatible with small animals that weigh under 40 lbs, so you are remembering correctly. Having a small dog should not set off those motion sensors at all, but you will just want to make sure that the dog is not jumping on couches or chairs, as that can make your dog appear taller and bigger to those motion sensors.     We have been using Frontpoint as our home security service provider for about a year and a half. But as of late, our experience with Frontpoint is not so great. We're having some technical issues and I don't have time to work them out with the technician.     I have used Frontpoint as my home security provider for 18 months. They were consistently being reviewed as one of the best home security systems. My parents had already selected them and were very happy. Installing the Frontpoint device was very easy and they were extremely helpful. The only challenging part was finding an appropriate place for one of the windows I wanted to secure, because of how that window was designed. Then a few months ago, we decided to add a couple of sensors. They were very helpful walking us through the process and making sure everything was up and running.

    We use the mobile app to access and control the system. It has been great. If we're gone, we can make sure everything is still on, especially if we've had someone come to look on the place. We can turn it off remotely and turn the system back on. We're very happy with the service and have recommended them to friends.

    Installing the Frontpoint system was pretty good though it was a little more complicated than what they made it out to be. But ultimately, they were pretty helpful and we got it going even though it took a little longer. The installation team was pleasant and helpful whenever I had to call them. Frontpoint needs to be a little more innovative in the use of video. Video cameras are getting to where you can watch, see your house through the internet. It's one thing to have the alerts and alarms but other kinds of solutions that will incorporate video will be good, too. It didn't seem well integrated. It's a lot harder to install than what some of the competitors may be.

    Frontpoint's mobile app is not worth crap and my lighting device hasn't worked super good. However, the installation guys were great to help me when I've had to call in one time. I have no complaints other than that it doesn't work the way it should.     We went with Frontpoint because our previous provider did not tell us that our alarm wasn't working when we disconnect our landline phone. We set it every day thinking that it was working. And then we found out about it a year later from a letter that they sent in the mail. Luckily, there was not a break-in or something that happened. But we paid for that every single month thinking that we were protected and we didn't know that we werent.

    Setting up the Frontpoint system was easy and the Frontpoint team has been great. We haven't had any concern. Although my husband talked to them a couple time because sometimes he forgot that the alarm goes off when the garage door is opened and they'll call us. But, it's always been good with them. We also got the mobile app set if somebody leaves the door open for longer than 5 minutes and I can tell when my youngest son has come home or when he has left. It's wonderful and I love it.     My experience with Frontpoint has been very good. I had ADT before and had a lot of issues in our house they couldn't seem to resolve. We got tired of having them constantly coming out - the system was old. The technicians that came out were very nice but when we called the higher ups to tell them that things weren't working, they didn't seem to care which was annoying. We used them for almost 25 years.

    Also, they had double billed. When we left our old house, we realized for five years we've been paying for the old house and this house. When I called, they said they couldn't give the money back. To a certain extent, the responsibility was on me but they did say they'd send back years of what we paid in and they didn't follow up. It just wasn't worth the trouble to call them back. It didn't seem like they cared whether you stayed or left. But with Frontpoint, I haven’t had any problems so far. I had them for a year now and they are better. I would recommend them.

    Setting up my Frontpoint security system was very easy. And any time we had questions, we just called them and they walked us through it. It's pretty self-sufficient, self-explanatory and everything came provided. Once we were finished, we just called them and they activated the system. It was a great experience because we did it ourselves but then were able to consult with them when we had any trouble.

    I love the interactive features on my smartphone and that's the most convenient for me. I use it all the time. I get messages when I forget to set my alarm and I get alarms when the door is left open for more than a couple of minutes, then I get a follow-up alert when it's closed. And I don't even have to call my son from work because I can check and look at my app and see if he made it home okay, then check if he has rearmed the system. It's a peace of mind and it doesn't take any time. I can be sitting in a meeting and just look at my phone and know he's there. We like it.

    We've never had any issues. And if we have a question, it's very easy to call them. We always get a live person and they'd answer it. We've had a couple of deactivated alarms. One was just a sensor going bad and they replaced it with a new sensor. Everything to this point has been really good and it's cost-effective. It's very reasonable for all of the services that they provide on a monthly basis, so were happy and I've already recommended them to a friend.

    I've been using Frontpoint for about a year now. The installation was simple and easy. You have to follow some guidelines and talk to tech support so that you don’t screw up installing the motions. Also, it’s nice that there is a satellite built into the system which I haven’t seen before. Other systems, they can connect to the internet but have to do so through your router while this one has a cellular connection so I like that. I only control the system with the interactive features and it's great that I'm able to arm and disarm through an app like what I've experienced in the past. It's a quality service and a better monitoring so I would put it in an ADT range, a class above some of the budget like NextAlarm that are $12 and $15 a month. But I wish it was a little bit less expensive. It’s fairly valued right now but to be a good value, I would want it to be in a 30-dollar range.

    I bought Frontpoint late last year for a new house I built. Installation was as simple as it could get. It takes about 15 minutes. The Frontpoint team was very responsive if I have questions or issues. I never had any problems at all. I use their app on my phone all the time. I'm sitting here in Florida, my home is in Pennsylvania. I just looked at my cameras a few minutes ago through the system.

    We have a home in Florida, and a summer home in Pennsylvania. Everybody asks me, “Who watches your house when you’re gone?” And I say, “I do.” I can turn the alarm on and off if I want somebody to go in.     I've had Frontpoint since the summer of 2013. I found it online and it was my first security provider. I was skeptical installing it at first 'cause I had to do it on my own.     We had Frontpoint since July of 2014, and it’s a fantastic company. When we installed the device, it was a little tougher than I thought it would be. We had some issues getting certain things set up, particularly the garage alarm system. There were also a couple wall units that we had some issues with that we had to call someone from Frontpoint for help, and everybody we've ever contacted were very helpful, patient and nice. I use the mobile app almost every day, and it’s really good. However, every now and then, it has trouble connecting, and I would have to log in a couple of times to do so. We also added some more security into the basement area halfway through the year and got rid of the glass break feature, which didn’t work, so we had to send it back.

    Since installing Frontpoint, I have fewer worries. Everything's fine other than the cost which was high and sometimes it's slow to respond. For the cost, it's not worth it. There are comparable companies that have the same monitor and capabilities for half the cost. I don't like the fact that it's a 2-year contract but once I get to 2 years, I'm gonna drop them and go with another competitor who's half the cost.

    Installation of the FrontPoint device was really straightforward. I didn't have any issues except when I moved it. The sensors don't really have a good adhesive. Another issue is I'd like to access my own personal account information (because it’s through a third party server). I can understand some of the security issues and concerns with that but again, it would be nice if it could be done. But other than that, the system and the online service work out well. All my interactions with their team are all positive. If I have to call for an issue, things are resolved pretty quickly. I've had a couple of false alarms and I know that I'll get a call quickly. Their response time is good. They provide all around good and reliable service.

    I had ADT before but Frontpoint is much better. Most of my equipment was transferred from ADT and the only thing I replaced were the door sensors. I interact with their customer service team frequently and they are always great and very helpful. I use their phone app which I love because I often forget to set the alarm when I leave the house.     I’ve been using FrontPoint for about a year. I paid for them to install it however I just don’t feel like the installer was the greatest. They didn’t seem to have the cleanest finishes. However their team has been good. Anytime I call with a problem or a question, they’re responsive and they get things done. When I’ve had alarms, they respond almost instantly, which is great. I have the app on my phone to arm and disarm the system. I think in today’s world, its essential that you have that, so it’s good that they have it. I think it works fine. It’s like one of those things that either it works or it doesn’t. If it doesn’t, then it would just be worthless.

    I feel like they’re doing a much better job than the previous provider was. When I have had alarms the other company take 18 hours to call you, and I’m not exaggerating. So it does give me peace of mind. I live in a pretty safe neighborhood, but it is nice just to know that if there is a problem, there is another layer of security.

    I've been using Frontpoint for a couple of years already. Installing the system was straightforward and easy, just going along with the customer service over the phone. The only difference of not doing contracts was a little bit better but a little more expensive which is one of the biggest downsides to it because it costs more per month and I have to buy the sensors, whereas just getting the sensors along with the system. I haven't signed any month-to-month contract but I already had a good experience in the past with FrontPoint, so it's all good. Also, their mobile app is so fun. It's fine that they've added the experience and it works pretty well, but most of the alarm systems out there have the same systems but it's nice being able to monitor it from my phone.

    In the beginning Frontpoint was very aggressive to make sure that we got everything, but after it's installed I never heard back from them. Last week, our garage door got opened because of the rainstorm and the security system started beeping and then we turned it off but we never received any calls. There's no followup. So I don’t know whether these people are really monitoring or not, and that's a real concern I have because we travel overseas. Also, initially I thought that somebody will come and assist us to set it up, but they just shipped it and then they called us to set it up remotely.

    As far as the set up is concerned, we managed to install. It was very easy to do it. One of the sensors wasn't working and they sent us the envelope and overnighted it so we got that one.

    Our first and previous security provider for 25 years was difficult. They didn't always seem to know what was going on in my house. At first, we really liked them. Then when we moved to our new house about 11 years ago. We stayed with them, but we really didn't feel valued by that company and they knew us anymore. Other companies took over them. They were not very nice when we hired them to do our daughter's house, and she has to stay with them for 5 years. Since that time is up, she'll be out of there, and installing FrontPoint for her place.

    With FrontPoint, my husband did the installation of the system but he wasn't as clever as they thought he was. He had to call and get instructions and see a video. Then he got it done and their technician was very good with him. He knew what he was doing and explained it all to my husband. It was amazing that he was able to do this. If he hadn't had help, we'd still be sitting here with no system. The only little glitch, I keep telling my husband, is that the security system won't work if he doesn't lock the doors. People walk in and you'll hear the siren. It would work a lot better if we didn't have to worry about you locking the doors. As long as he shuts and locks the doors, I arm the security system when I'm ready go to sleep.

    We were pleased with the way they responded to our needs and we like the system itself on my iPad and we can take it with us. When I'm on my way home, I just let the system know I'm coming back so disarm. We love them. We put the FrontPoint sign out front and anybody who ever ask, we always tell them how great it is. We're gonna be selling our house in the spring and in our next house we'll be using FrontPoint again.

    I used to have ADT but Frontpoint's service is a lot better. This is new technology and it's more geared towards the customer doing their own work. If they're technically literate, it's a lot easier to deal with. I understood what to do, the instructions and help through the service desk allowed me to get the installations done well. Their team were all good. I recently had issues with one of the sensors that was causing false alarms. They couldn't pinpoint the issue but gave me suggestions to try to remedy the situation.

    Our Frontpoint security system seems to be working pretty good. I haven't had any problems or have the alarm go off recently. The one time it did, it was tripped accidentally because I realized that a curtain was blowing into it. The vent was blowing the curtains so it went off. At the time, I was telling the customer service rep to stay on the phone with me so I can make sure. I walked downstairs and checked to make sure if that was what was going on and I'm glad she stayed on the phone with me, and I figured it out.

    Frontpoint has been my home security for a little less than a year. I couldn’t imagine an easier installation. You plug it in, everything is wireless. Just put them where you want to put them and then give them a call to activate and it's all done and ready to go. It's probably the easiest, simplest thing I've ever done. I also use the alarm.com app on my phone to arm and disarm the alarm and it's very good. I enjoy the fact that I can turn it on and off anytime, anywhere. Also, there's something called the geofence that they do. When my wife and I leave the house, we leave a certain radius around or a certain circle, and I can control how wide that circle is from my home. It automatically sends an alert and I can change the way that I get that alert: email, text or just a push notification on your phone that says, "Hey, you forgot to arm the alarm." And if one of us leaves and the other doesn’t, it doesn’t give us that alert. I can set it up how I want it.

    My experience has been very positive with Frontpoint. There has been very little issue with them. They're open all the time and you can get in contact with them very easily. If you commit to their contract, they’ll work with you on the price of some of the actual inquiries and the best part that I am very happy with is that I can just take the whole system with me, and move. I can just pick it up and leave anytime I want. I'm one of those people that understands that there is no perfect security system, but I am aware that because I have the Frontpoint system, if somebody were to attempt to break in or do something to damage my home, they are far less likely to attack my home versus somebody else’s who does not Frontpoint. I would recommend it to somebody looking for a security system.

    I've had Frontpoint since I got the business, about a year and a half now. I turn it on every night. Initially we had some alarms that went off and I thought there was a break-in. I've come to find out that wasn't the case. The Frontpoint security system has been good. I was getting ready to expand, I was told they don't do fire alarms for businesses. I am disappointed with that because that is a problem for businesses.

    That could be a critical deciding point for some businesses. Frontpoint needs to really seriously reconsider that. Generally I'm satisfied with Frontpoint and I got a lot going on in setting up my new store. I've been overwhelmed with everything for the last year and a half but as soon as I'm settled, I will then find out if there are other companies that offers fire alarms for businesses. If everybody is that way then I'll just accept it, but if not then I'm going to find out what's the cost and I'll look into it. It's too big a deal just to ignore.

    I like Frontpoint, I've had it for almost 18 months. I chose them after doing research on ConsumerAffairs and other online rating sites. I just followed the instructions for the installation and I had a guy on the phone walking through so it was fairly simple. The system has these 30-second alarms to get in the door when the motion sensors are on and that really scared the heck out of my maids. They come tearing in 90 miles an hour to try to turn it off before the alarm turns on because its pretty loud. Other than that, it's good.

    I also have their mobile app and I can sign on from the internet. I've set it up with different users that can go in and turn it off and back on so that I can track who has come into the house using what code. I'm getting an error on my mobile device though. I called and talked to one of their technicians. He worked on it but couldn't figure out exactly what it was, it just says there was some sort of malfunction at this certain time. He seemed to think it was related to some electronic glitch that really didn't affect the way the Frontpoint system works.

    I got Frontpoint last year when somebody in my neighborhood had a break in through their garage door and then get into their house and steal their house. I have a small business and I have different things in my house. I found out that they had this really cool garage door sensor. I didn't have to disable the emergency release on the garage door. I could just put a sensor up there that would instantly alert me. Then I found out that it is associated with alarm.com so I could control and monitor it on my cell phone. So I went ahead and signed up for it.

    It was fast, easy and it works well. I have no complaints about it other than the fact that its really expensive. It's actually cheaper for me to just add my own home automation system through a separate module and pay for it in cash than it is to add the service to my home alarm system which seems ridiculous to me. They are definitely overcharging on stuff. That's a little bit of a negative for me. After hunting around, it seems higher than everybody else and I don't see what it's doing anything different from anybody else. And I know everybody's got to make a profit but when someone's charging 200% more than everybody else, that's just getting greedy.

    I've been using Frontpoint for two years in June. They're the first home security provider I've ever used. The installation was slow because I had to install it myself. This is what I did not like. That's very, very poor and in my opinion, terrible. I don't think I should have to install it because I'm someone off the street that has never used it before and doesn't really know what to look for and how to look for that. I think when you're starting something new the people themselves should come out and install it for you and give you help with what to look for.

    Everybody kept saying, "It's so simple". Eventually I figured it out after conversations with their team. But as a new customer, I shouldn't have to try to figure out how to set this up. No matter how simple it is that should be included into the package. That and the price is probably something that's going to make me cancel it when my contract's over. If the price don't get cut, I'm going someplace else with a better price. I don't think I'm getting what I deserve to get for the $42 a month that I'm paying. Because of the quality that I'm receiving, it's not overwhelming.

    I'm not a techie person. I just want somebody to watch my house for me and make sure nothing else is going on. I don't have to be 90 miles away and check to see if this or that is happening. I just want to make sure that if someone tries to get in, my alarm will go off and Frontpoint's going to get the cops there. But my alarm went off several times and on certain situations nothing's happened. I didn't get a phone call saying "Are you guys okay?" So I'm not satisfied. To me, Frontpoint's just okay - nothing special.

    I researched Frontline online, read a lot of reviews and went from there. I expected the installation to be a lot more difficult than it was, but it was really easy. So far, I haven't had any issues. But I had to call Frontpoint when one of the glass break monitors would beep periodically. This happened when we were keeping a couple of puppies for some friends - the puppies would get so loud, and the monitors would beep. They were able to help me take care of that issue. I haven't accessed the system from the computer, but I use the app to help in double-checking if I set the alarm on when I leave the house.

    We're not impressed with Frontpoint because they wanted customers to sign on longer contracts, that’s ridiculous. We had a few issues with them because they didn't have a very good reception where we moved to. They said it would work and do stuff but it didn’t so we never used them. They called us when we got the system and told that we could get out of it if it wouldn’t work and now they won’t let us out of the contract so that was very irritating. We wanted to have it terminated by now but it's too long and we're not going to pay them out that much as they have a ridiculous termination fee.

    I’ve been using Frontpoint as my home security provider for one year. It was pretty easy to install however I had to call a lot at that time to understand how it’d function exactly for the alarm.     I've used Frontpoint for two years and it has been fine. It seems effective. It's very easy to use and install. The only glitch I experienced is that there is a motion sensor that you're supposed to mount. It comes with an adhesive and you're supposed to mount it on the wall facing where you think there could be an intrusion. I found that the adhesive would not stick so I had to come up with a different solution myself. That's the only criticism I have. I feel that the stickers you put on the windows are a deterrent. In general, having a system gives you peace of mind.

    I do believe that with Frontpoint style of system, if somebody really wanted to break in and do damage they could. For me, it's against a nuisance intruder. Like if there were teenage kids who were maybe drunk or acting stupid or someone not professional, when they see the stickers or the sign, they'd go someplace that looks like an easier mark. Frontpoint team were satisfactory and helpful at the time of installation. I feel they were probably as easy to use as anybody could have been. The mobile app is easy to use and I like it. I only set the alarm and disengage it through that mobile app. I find that to be extremely helpful. It has been a good company. I'm satisfied. It's been a good experience and I would recommend them for the same purpose I use them.

    I have been using Frontpoint since June of last year. I previously used ADT and when I was relocating, I found Frontpoint on Angie's List so I thought of trying another provider. The installation of the device went well, but there was a problem with the video recordings. I could see the current recordings if I logged on but I was not able to review previous recordings. I didn't bother much with it but maybe because I was viewing it over my cell phone.

    When I signed up with them over the phone, I did not get the impression that my initial contract was for three years. I remember discussing with the person who called me that the residence that I was going to be at was only a temporary residence which I was renting. I don't recall signing a three year contract. It was definitely going against what I was doing because I was supposed to be there for only a year so. I wouldn't sign a 3-year contract because it wouldn't make sense. He told me that when I was ready to move, I would only call them and they would cancel the service after a year.

    I happened to have stayed on for more than a year and when I called, I was told, "No. You have a contract with us which is for three years. If you cancel, you're going to have to pay back $799." I thought that was ridiculous. I asked where did that come from and the rep said it was the initial contract. I told her I never physically signed a contract. It was verbal because it was over the phone. She said, "Yeah, that's exactly what it was." I wasn't getting anywhere with them so I let go. I still haven't figured out what I'm going to do now because I am not ready to dish out $800 only because I'm going to end the contract. I wouldn't recommend them to a friend because they were not very clear with me about a contract. I'm dissatisfied for that very reason.

    I would prefer to have someone come to the house to install the Frontpoint system. I made a mistake by buying the equipment and in return for a so-called discount on the equipment, signed up for three years. I didn't read carefully so I thought I signed up for two years and was shocked to find out I had signed up for three. I went on the internet to look at prices and could've bought everything for a lot less. I don't like that they overcharged. All I wanted was fire and burglary. When I realized that I didn't add any more features from them I just went and bought my own cameras and set them up on my computer. That makes me feel safe because I can hear and see everything on a camera. I've added camera system internally on my own because their prices were overpriced but the service has been fine.

    We had an analog line connection with Brink's. Then when we moved to Voice Over IP, we had to pay for them to come out here and try to set it up for us. Every step of the way it was a hassle. Their customer service was good but there was always a charge tacked on to any little advice or anything that they had to do even when it was their own problem. Going to Frontpoint was good because we were able to set up the sensors according to what and how we needed it.

    When we were setting it up, what I liked was the fact that they ran through everything and then followed-up again to make sure that I understood what the agreement was and what the charges were so there were no surprises.     I didn't have any problems installing Frontpoint, it was fine. I only had a minor issue with the smoke detector, where I had it placed. It was going off all the time. The unit collected up unnecessary dust, dirt, debris and stopped working after about four or five months. I contacted Frontpoint, they sent me a new one, and I moved it to another place in the house. Customer service has been 100%. They are very easy to contact. If you need technical support and you get the emergency line, they're very quick to move you over so you get the right information.

    Installing Frontpoint device was super simple. I had to call them once just to figure out how to add some locks and it was a smooth experience. I use their interactive features all the time and I love it. I own a business and I'm running out of my house and I have seven people that are in and out all the time. It's nice getting all the help like unlock a door or turn on the alarm and turn it off for them, especially, if there's a guest coming over. I also like the Z-Wave Control System. I can have it locked to the system, for example, a lock that I can control from the control panel. Frontpoint is like security theater.     Frontpoint doesn't work great. I keep getting low battery indications from the panel which means that the battery inside of it is not working. I keep getting the information sent to me from Frontpoint that it's not working, but nobody has ever called to say that I need to replace the battery or how to replace the battery. The system is less than a year old and sometimes it would go dead for quite a while and then comes back on, and then it's dead again. That part of it is very unreliable.

They have some lapses in their technical setup for the alarm system where there's a disconnect between the information about the alarm system and what they have. It's not entirely clear to me why they don't have the same information as I have as to when an alarm is going off and what zone is going off.

    I've had Frontpoint for a while, but I haven't had it connected in a very long time. I had a camera and Wi-Fi through AT&T. What I didn't know was that the camera would be running and using data from the service plan. So once my bill got to $800, I had to shut the system down. That was my biggest issue from both sides (Frontpoint and AT&T): they didn't let me know that the camera was gonna be running like that using data, but I still pay it every month. But on the whole, Frontpoint's a good system. I had someone else come and put the system up for me, though, since if I had to do it myself, it might be a little problematic. Some people would probably be fine setting it up themselves but I think we should have an option to have a tech come out.

    There were issues with ordering when we first ordered Frontpoint. We would get one small package with only part of the order, then they'd send another part in another package rather than just sending out everything that we needed at once. And then our alarm system wasn't working and we had no idea that it wasn't working. I called to find out why I didn't get a phone call when it went off. I say, "Can you tell why it went off before?" "We don't have a record of it going off." It's gone off a couple of times and they have no record? So what's the point of having a home security if they don't know?

    The other thing also is when we ordered the service, we didn't get it. We were being billed even though we did not have the devices and they didn’t make that retroactive, so we were billed for the time where we didn't have the devices. And if you talk to one person and you call back and talk to another person, there’s no communication. When you order something, nobody is communicating to anyone. It’s to the point where if we need something, forget it--I don’t even want to go through the hassle. I have said this to them, “I’m a business owner and when we have complaints, we bring it to our meetings. We talk about it, we look for solutions, and we follow through. What are you guys doing?” There is no communication, no follow through as to how they will resolve these issues.

    I needed a little assistance with one of the sensors when I was installing my Frontpoint device. The lady I worked with was really patient and helpful, so everything went well. I have the mobile app which I use if I need to arm or disarm my system. I like it but I wish I had a better thermostat so that I could do more.     I was given some false information in the beginning about whether or not it would function in the location that it was being placed. Having already bought all the material, it caused us a lot of grief trying to refigure it out. Eventually it worked out, but it wasn’t a great experience. It's a great product if you live in a place where there are no issues with cell phone signals and wired internet.

    We were told our location was great, but it wasn’t so it was frustrating. I thought it was a slam dunk, but it ended up being a huge thorn on my side that I had to extract from 2,000 miles away. Frontpoint should be a little more careful about which locations they recommend for their product. Many of the people that I worked with were diligent, patient and knowledgeable, aside from their salesperson. Sales is their low point and they leave a bad taste in my mouth, so I’m not going back to them.

    My overall experience with Frontpoint is good. The person I was emailing followed up with me shift-to-shift, so that was a really nice touch. They understood my needs and when my unit had some faulty sensors, they got it resolved.

    Frontpoint was recommended to me by a friend. Installation of the device was self-explanatory. The customer service team has been really good. We're getting used to the home monitoring and make sure that the alarm is off when we open the door . We've had nothing but good experiences with them. I have their app on my phone and I use that quite a bit. I like it because right now I'm trying to sell my home and I have people coming in and out, and have them set up on a different code. As soon as they leave, I know when they leave and I'm able to go ahead and activate the alarm again.

    I've been using Frontpoint for a year and half. The instructions for installing it was very simple to follow. I also have the app on my phone. Now, I don't worry about my wife and daughters as much when I'm out of town on business and I'm happy with it.
