    I've had Frontpoint for about a year now and I like it more than ADT. ADT pissed me off and their customer service sucked. Installing Frontpoint wasn't too bad. It was the first time that I had to install myself, but it went smoothly. Their team has also been excellent. I've called them twice, and both times it was taken care of very fast. I use the arming and disarming app every day, and I like how I'm able to access and control the system anytime and anywhere. My wife wants to add cameras now since the security device makes her happy, which is also good for me.

    My experience overall with Frontpoint has been very good, but I wish I had known about SimpliSafe before I signed up with Frontpoint. My neighbor has SimpliSafe and he's got a much better deal. The cost of Frontpoint is not competitive at all compared to the other ones out there.

    Installing the security device from Frontpoint was fine. I arm and disarm it through the phone. I also use the keypad and the remote for turning the system on and off. They had this feature that I almost use all the time, where you can control to notify you when you’re out of your area and you didn’t arm the system, and that didn’t work properly. Every time I have a mishap, like I forget to disarm the door, they are extremely prompt. Whenever I had a problem with the sensors and the police was called, they gave me a credit because it was a sensor problem. They're as good as any home security provider, or better.

    We've only had the Frontpoint alarm go off every now and then, but they've been very prompt and they've been nothing but helpful. We had a fire alarm go off one time. It wasn't a true fire but they went through their chain of command and finally got a hold of us, and they were ready to act on it as quick as possible - I appreciate it. I would love to see the hardware that they use come down a little bit because we would use more of it. But other than that, the self-installation is straightforward. I like the technology that they have.

    Frontpoint is good. It was easy to install the device. However, I remembered triggering the alarm and I know that in some places, they will call the police over if one puts in the code way after the system timer's over. Not sure if it's normal for Frontpoint that none showed up.

    Sam, your system has a specific entry delay time that your alarm will sound before calling the police. If the police haven't been called to your residence then it's most likely because you have been disarming your system in time! Let us know if you have any other questions.

    Installing the Frontpoint device, I had a little bit of trouble on my doors. My door jambs were a little bit different than what we needed and I bought the ones that I drilled and put in because the molding wouldn't allow the surface mounts to work right. So I sent them back and we got the ones where I drilled and put them in, the sides and the edge, and they worked fine. The Frontpoint team settled any problems I've had. I've added a remote alarm light so I could see a light going off and we had a little trouble getting that programmed, but everybody seemed pretty knowledgeable when I called them and they walked me through the steps. I've already recommended them and the person I recommended them to loves it.

    The reps walked me through the process of setting up the cameras, which was easy. They're very helpful, patient and responsive. We use the app to arm and disarm the system all the time. However, we had some trouble with the door sensors sticking and the placement to get them to activate. We also had one that didn't work, and I found that frustrating. I have the Frontpoint security system upstairs, and I can hardly hear the sound downstairs, even on maximum setting.

    There were some problems when installing the Frontpoint system. I'd sent something back and either they shipped me a new thing or they hadn't shipped something they were supposed to include.     Frontpoint as far as I'm concerned is useless. I'm paying $42.99 a month and I don't even use it. I've had it since July of last year and we had replaced it twice with different keyboards and whenever I put my code in to disarm it, it gets stuck on certain numbers. Then they sent me the remote and it doesn't work too. They sent me these cheap things that break down. The customer service reps were helpful and courteous, but that courtesy and helpfulness doesn't solve my security problem. I want Frontpoint to give me a stupid keyboard that works, not something that's made in Taiwan or China or wherever.

    I called Frontpoint to set up a home security system for $299.99. I was interested in purchasing outside cameras as well but the price was a little high. I did some research and found a good deal for cameras as well as a home security system through Costco's website. I also liked that the other company offered a 2 year contract rather than a 3 year contract so I called Frontpoint back within the same hour that I ordered service, to cancel. I was told that it would take 6-8 days to receive a refund. 15 days later, several phone calls to Frontpoint, several different run around stories, even conversations with a supervisor, and still no refund. Luckily, my bank is working with me as I had to open up a case to dispute the charge.

    Installing my Frontpoint security device was simple as the directions were clear. It took me a total of 60 minutes. I had some false alarms which, for the most part, were whenever we had guests staying in the house that were unaware of the security system. They responded with a quick call following the alarm system going off. At one point, it took a while for us to deactivate the alarm and they had already dispatched the police officer who showed up and did a wellness check.     Since installing Frontpoint last July 2014, we felt more comfortable not being at home. The installation was pretty straightforward although we could use an extra set of those little sensors that go on the windows because sometimes we like to leave the windows cracked when we're not at home, but those sensors weren't included in the first set.

    We looked online to find out who was the best to go with as far as equipment goes and found Frontpoint. I personally like the fact that it's wireless, that if somebody comes into a part of the house that's remote, we wouldn't lose security. So far, we've been using them for a year now. We had a few questions along the way and their staff have been very professional, courteous and informative. We have four teenagers living in our house so the alarm gets set off from time to time. Frontpoint's been very prompt in calling me, letting me know that the alarm went off and if we need assistance.

    Since having them, we sleep better at night. It helps us considerably just knowing that if anybody comes into our house while we're not in the neighborhood, we'll be alerted. On the whole, Frontpoint's very user-friendly, easy and convenient. We've also recommended the company to a lot of people - friends and people we work with. Since we're moving too, we're going to take our Frontpoint system with us. We'd want to set up their interactive features in our new house by then as well.

    We've had Frontpoint for a year. I found it very easy to install as directions were easy. The Frontpoint team was also very nice. I have the app on my phone and I use it a lot. My dad's older and when we go out of town, he'll come over and look at the place but the alarm scares him. When I know he'd come in, I'll unarm it and let him come in, and then when I know he's gone, I can arm it back. I'm very thankful and I definitely feel safer with the system.

    We’ve been using Frontpoint for a year and a half. I ordered it, it showed up at the door, and I just popped everything in. Everything was adhesive and all the sensors were numbered.     I've had Frontpoint for two to three years, and before that I had ADT. The ADT guy came out and basically just installed and showed me how their system worked. But the people from Frontpoint stayed on the phone longer and walked me through everything when I was setting up initially, and they tested every window and door. I bought the system and put it in myself, and then they went through a check and made sure everything worked. I just moved into a new house about a month ago and I took the system with me and hooked it up, and everything worked. However, there was an issue with the battery showing low voltage, so I called them up and told them. And they basically sent me a brand new battery. What was interesting was in Orlando, you have to have a permit to have the alarm installed, and Frontpoint took care of all that for me and they sent it to me.

    A year and a half ago, it seemed like Frontpoint was good value and I like the ability to install my own system and move the little security checkpoints and the magnets from the door to a window. It was easy to install but the system didn't work properly and I had to replace the main box as it was defective. When they sent that box, the replacement works and I'm still using it today. They fixed the problem and it didn't cost me anything.

    Having it gives me peace of mind. Sometimes, one of us is travelling on business and the time zones are wacky. I travel to Asia on business a lot, so even though I can't get my wife on the phone, I can look at the alarm app and see that she got home and then set the alarm at the time that makes sense. I know what's going on more or less, that definitely helps and I can send her a text asking if she's okay. I use the alarm app on my phone and it's very helpful. I recommended it to people.

    For a long time I had Brinks, which got bought by ADT. Then we had a little storm and it didn't work anymore, and a technician came out and charged me $80 to run all over the house with these electronic gadgets, telling me that I needed a new motherboard in the control system. So I called them and this other guy came out here without going around with any electronic gadget. He said that I needed about $1,500 worth of repair, but I told him that he hadn't done a thing. I thought that there must be a better way to do this, so I looked around and I found Frontpoint Security. The price is a little bit less, but what I really like about it is that it works like a wireless telephone. If the old system was dependent upon you having telephone service and electricity and everything went off, we wouldn't have any telephone service. So as far as I could tell, the Frontpoint system works very well.

    Frontpoint's service is excellent and I've been very, very happy with them. The billing is okay and the customer service is very good and prompt. The mean time to pick up the phone is very good in terms of when you need help. They do go out of the way to go the extra mile. The equipment is of good quality and works well, easy to set up and easy to deal. The motion sensors could be a little more sensitive although my house has not broken into, so it's hard to tell on that piece. There are some problems with the camera equipment because it's very difficult to set it up properly and get that working in a way that makes sense. If there are issues with light, going from light to dark or with passing clouds, the equipment gives false alarms which is an issue they need to fix and I'm not the only one that's ever had that problem.

    You can figure out the mobile application that they use online and it does what it needs to do, but it's not laid out in logical fashion. The website is fine for the user but finding things and figuring it out is hard and a little circuitous. How you set up the cameras and the zones get a little bizarre. When I was dealing with the camera adjustments, it was very hard to find where I needed to do that. So I had to call in, get a hold of a tech who could help and guide me through but the person was excellent that he knew the system in and out.

    Our experience with Frontpoint has been uneventful as what one had hoped for with any alarm system experiences. We've had some instances where the little sensors had to be re-taped or reglued back into position. They start drooping or fall off. Also, I've noticed that when I walk past the motion sensors, they blink red or orange and sometimes they don't. I saw them last week, wondering whether or not they're working when they don't blink.     Frontpoint is our first home security system. For the most part, installation was easy. There were some challenges with the door sensors, making sure that they're lined up so that slight movements on another door won't make it appear that it's opening even when they're still closed. I had some issues with the garage door sensor also, keeping it fixed, and ended up just duct taping it in place. They sent a replacement door sensor but it wasn't very helpful with the garage door. We got false worries about the door being left open when it's actually closed. I've asked them to replace it but they say, "Oh, well, you should just move what's under the console." Other than that, it's been okay. I like having the Alarm.com app to be able to figure when things open and close. We've been using the lights with them. The switches were compatible with that app, too.

    We've been using Frontpoint for a year and a half. We had a robbery here and that's why we got it in response to that. This is the first security system we had. Some things are a little confusing. One time I forgot the pass code to the account and we had a false alarm set off by my in laws. They called and I said everything's fine and they asked me the pass code. I gave them the wrong one and they sent the police anyway because I gave them the wrong one. They don't say anything on the phone so that was annoying but I suppose it makes sense to do that. Other than that it's fine. We're actually moving today and it's nice to be able to just take it with us.

    But one thing that I would like better from them is buying additional components. It was very easy to select stuff when I first bought it but to add stuff later is not as straightforward. The house we're moving to isn't exactly the same to the other one. We would need a couple different sensors and it's actually not super clear on what to buy. I have to go to other sites and I have to check that things are going to be compatible. But I would still recommend Frontpoint to other people.

    Everything's been responsive and fast with Frontpoint and everybody there has been friendly. A couple of times the system went off because a contractor set it off and everything responded properly. And when I've called people, I had to change my code after about a year. Then we have a unique house where we have a lot of windows but we don't use window sensors because it's open plan. We use motion detectors and it works well for us. I'm definitely not dissatisfied with them. The only downside is that it's a little expensive per month at $43 a month.

    My experience with Frontpoint has been fine. However, we don't like the fact that the security device is not on the door. We'd like to change providers because we want the device that's mounted on the wall. We want it to be more accessible. Also we had to put it up ourselves and the thing kept falling on the door. Then they called because the paneling was hard to stay and we had to put another extra tape and glue so it could stay. Now it's working...but we want somebody to come in to make sure that it's done right. Other than that, Frontpoint service is good.

    My experience with FrontPoint is that they were reliable and their reps were friendly. It's been more than a year that I've used them as my home security provider. Before FrontPoint, I had ADT What I like with ADT is that the technician was here to set it up, so I didn't have to deal with the installation. With FrontPoint, I like the flexibility, that you get it on mail; but I don't like that I had to put some time on my own to install it because I work, so that was frustrating.     I get alarms on my phone when anything happens. I also regularly lock and unlock my doors, and set and unset my alarm from my phone. It's great that I can access the system anywhere.     Frontpoint is an all-electronic system, with no hard wiring and it's something that I can install. If something goes bad, it's a simple phone call to get a hold of them. They are very friendly and easy to work with. They walked me through the installation and they activated it, taking about 10 or 15 minutes per device. But one thing I do recommend is regarding the placement of each device since they don't have a lot to say about it. They'd give you a lot of recommendation, but they won't tell you where you need to put it.

    We've had Frontpoint for almost two years and it's a little bit better, though not much, than our previous security provider. It's easy to install. I use its interactive features all the time. They're necessary and a requirement for me. It's difficult to troubleshoot, though. For the normal person, interactions with the Frontpoint team would’ve been great. I’m more technical than most people so when it got down to the nitty-gritty, finding someone who could speak at that deep technical level wasn’t so easy. I don't think normal people, average consumers, would go to that level of detail to troubleshoot it. I also wish they had more availability during off-hours. When you have problems with security, they don’t happen during business hours. When it comes to security, it’s not something that you want to go to sleep with. You want to call and get it out of the way. That’s something they really need to take into consideration.

    I Googled the best security company and they had the best reviews. I feel like having Frontpoint - regardless of what brand it was, the stickers themselves are probably the most effective deterrent to break-ins because I never had anything happen and I'm guessing people don't wanna mess with a house that has a security system in it. Installing the system was pretty easy, you just put the sensors on the door. They are very helpful and they made sure everything went smoothly. They walk you through the process too.     We've had Frontpoint for almost two years. We had another home security provider before in another state, but this is the first time we're using Frontpoint for this house in this state. We did the installation of the Frontpoint security device and it was very simple. The Frontpoint team were always friendly. But we had a problem recently. We are from the military and our contracts are for three years. When we first started the process with Frontpoint, we were told upfront that we would be able to get out of the contract with military orders. Well, now its time to do that and they were telling us that we couldn't get out of the contract. And then it was, "Send us an email with a copy of your orders." We did that and we never heard back from them. So what we're doing now is our new house in North Carolina doesn't have an alarm system so we're taking it with us.

    The one thing that we liked about the service connection with Frontpoint is they do what is called a test phase whenever you first move in or you're going to travel. During the test phase, the alarms will still go off but these don't go directly to the police department, so that way you can get comfortable with the system. You have a practice mode. The first couple of days, you're opening doors and saying, "Oh, my gosh, I forgot," and everybody's calling. We've got to get in that habit again of turning off the alarm first. We've been in touch back and forth because of this move coming up, so I have their number on my refrigerator. So we're good to go.

    It’s been about two years since we have been using Frontpoint. We were in at least two other homes for the last 25 years and have used other home security providers before Frontpoint but this one is really nice. It was self-installed and easy to do. It’s very flexible if I ever want to move things around or add sensors. We ended up adding another sensor in the garage door. Every time I have called and asked for help, it’s been really good. I’ve only had a minor issue. The sticky tape used to install sensors came loose probably because I didn’t prepare the surface very good. It was on a sliding glass door. Other than that, it’s been 110%. We’ve had a couple of false alarms where we went out the door and set off something or out to the garage and heard it going off. Frontpoint called right away and stopped the cops from coming out. I couldn’t ask for a better service than that.

    I have been using Frontpoint for about a year and I'm satisfied with them. The main drawback is I do feel that Vivint’s control panel was more interactive and had easy display, and it also offered more features for its price. Installing Frontpoint was easy but the style of the installation is a bit visually unappealing. It's not a big deal but those little sticky sensors along the doors look strange on the trim as opposed to the other type of system.

    There were a couple of times when I had to call because I needed what type of sensors I’d be able to utilize early on. Frontpoint said that their system would tie in directly with the existing sensors that I’ve had with Vivint. It didn’t happen so I had to call back and negotiate more sensors to make my system more practical and useful. They handled that well but I am discouraged with the price. I have neighbors that talk about how they will spend $20 a month, where I’m spending $45. I feel like $30 or $35 would probably be a lot better value to me for what I actually use it for. Setting our alarm from our phone isn't anything spectacular because almost every company does that now. I wish I would’ve taken more time to study the different options before I got the three-year contract with Frontpoint.

    My husband did the installation but he seems to be fine with it but one time there was a little issue with Frontpoint. We had ordered some extra sign and stickers for the house, and they ended up sending us the wrong stuff. I wanted them to overnight. However, they did the standard shipping so it took a while to get that resolved. It was frustrating.

    Another thing that was dumb is that they used to have a red sign, which is a universal color for stop for their stickers but their sign is now green, which is a universal color for open. It doesn't makes sense for a home security system to have green. That was a really bad decision. However, we like using cellphone app to access the system. Moreover, the customer support is very helpful. I have been very impressed with them and it's been excellent on the phone.

    I have been using Frontpoint as our home security provider for one year. The security device was pretty easy to install and the service has been great. The Frontpoint team were very friendly when I purchased it, but I didn’t have any alarm or anything. Thank God I can talk to them about anything after the purchase. I use Frontpoint’s interactive features such as disarming or arming using my smartphone or computer and I think being able to access and control the system at any time is great. I use the portal Alarm.com and it’s very good. Since installing the device, our sense of security is pretty good and I’m very comfortable. I did recommend them to all my friends and I would love to hear back from Frontpoint about some sort of a promotion or offers.

    I've had such an awful experience. I'm cancelling out my account because I felt really uncomfortable using the security system based on being misled in general by the employees at Frontpoint. After my house has been robbed and then had a gun stolen, security becomes a major concern. I was concerned when I got the security system, and then I called and I had it turned off. And I spoke with someone and they had explained that if I turned it off, I wouldn't be paying for anything.

    And then I find out three months later when I wanted to restart this thing that I was being charged throughout. I spoke with a few people from Frontpoint and they were like, "Oh, you're misinformed so we'll extend your contract. We'll refund you your money." I was told I was going to be refunded at three months and I was only refunded two, so it's just another mistake done. I don't want there to be any mistakes coming from any end of this entire process, especially when it comes to my security and my things that I worked hard for.

    To this day, I still don't have any compensation from the insurance company for any of my stolen goods. Because of other issues, someone got fired when they were doing my claim, so this ordeal has just been massive. I have to refile all the receipts that I originally had sent in. It's just a huge mess. And now, I was refunded two months out of three months. I can't deal with this. I can't have this security issue on my mind anymore.

    I spoke with the supervisor from Frontpoint and he agreed to close the account and to basically take away just two of the charges after I was refunded. But I just think it's ridiculous that I had to pay any of those months when the security system wasn't in use. Granted that they were available for use, but they weren't being used by me because I felt uncomfortable. It would've been different if people had just followed through with what they said and promises were made instead of broken.

    I'm looking to get the rest of my money back, but the supervisor said that's all he can do. So I contacted another supervisor that I originally had contacted when I first became concerned and I really felt uncomfortable because I didn't find their system reliable based on the credibility of the employees. I spoke with him and I sent him an email, and then I get an email back; a petulant, defensive email from the other agent that I spoke with, which is just absurd. Frontpoint is the worst in everything. It's horrible in all degrees especially since I spent my hard-earned money on a service that I couldn't rely upon.

The customer service is great, but the one thing that sucks is once every week I always have to reset my surveillance cameras because the system is always saying there's a glitch. And then sometimes my camera does not work whatsoever and I have to contact customer service. They say they're trying to work on it or update the system. It's ridiculous that they have to update the system all the time.

    I've used Frontpoint for a year and a half and this was my first system. Installing the security device was pretty easy. I've had interactions with their team as well, they've called me and I've called them. Everything's gone smoothly, no real complaints. They thoroughly assisted me and answered all my questions. Also, I don't use the mobile app often, but it works, so that much I'm satisfied with. However, the only issue with it has been the motion sensor. It doesn't seem to work as described. I remember testing it out at the beginning and it didn't seem to have the range that we expected on the motion sensor. So I don't have a whole lot of confidence in that device based on our testing of it. But the door sensors seem to work fine and the console works as planned.

    Overall, Frontpoint is acceptable. Installing it was easy and I did it myself. It's relatively easy to use their interactive features, but some of the notifications have a bit of a delay. For instance, I set it up with the phone to let me know that I left within a certain distance and sometimes the notification that I did not arm my system is as late as two hours. Also, the equipment is proprietary and quite expensive compared to my daughter's system which is only $30 a month.

    My wife and I both choose Frontpoint based on just searching on the internet. Our choice was between Frontpoint and ADT and we went through our extensive search/research. We asked around with people who have had ADT for their feedback and we got lukewarm responses. We didn't know anyone who had Frontpoint but when we called the customer service representative to ask about the features of the system, they were extremely detailed. The one thing we were not too impressed with was the agent trying to put down ADT and hard selling on Frontpoint (understandable) but he gave us a very good deal.

    So far after 2 months, we are very happy with the DIY system. Albeit, some of the sensors come with adhesives that did not stick or the sensors were too heavy for the system. That's the reason for the 4 stars - Great but not perfect. To our surprise, one of our neighbors ended up getting Frontpoint as well without us knowing! I would recommend you try Frontpoint. They are very good.

    When I knew the Frontpoint provided wireless service, I decided to go with them and I've had them for a year and a half now. It was easy installing the system - you can set up the detectors anywhere you want, turn them on/off, and you can move them around. I can go on by phone and check if they've been activated or not. I can monitor whether the contractors showed up or not because my sensors tell me, either activated or not. So it's a good system. The only thing I might consider adding in the future is a video. On the other hand, while I was out of town, the people who were left and have had contacts with the Frontpoint people reported that there were inappropriate and unprofessional interactions. Some would ask, "What's the passcode?” instead of explaining who they were and what they're calling about. When I complained and expressed my concern about that, it stopped and since then, they've been pleasant and helpful. I've gotten over the issue and I have no complaints now.

Refuse to return my money and my credit card has been billed since August for monthly monitoring for a system I could never install!!! Poor customer service. No returned calls.     My experience with Frontpoint has been okay, although when I first had the system installed, I was getting a lot of lost communication. But it has gotten better since and I haven't had any experience of losing contact. But they need to lower their price. Because when my system goes down, I'm going to look for somebody else.

Installation was easy, although I had a couple of questions about how to put it together since we have a three story house, and I didn't know if it could reach the third floor.     i ordered the system, telling the rep. that I wanted it delivered after a certain date because I wanted to be home to receive the package. I was assured this would happen and they'd schedule delivery accordingly. While I was on vacation, I got emailed that the system had shipped and would arrive a week before I'd be home. I called. Someone told me that they'd have fed ex intercept it and hold it at a fed ex office. In the meantime, the salesman who I originally dealt with would not speak with me. Bottom line - the system was on my deck for about a week. They talk a good game, but don't listen to the customer. I sent everything back unopened. I don't want to deal with a company that lies time and time again. Imagine if I had a different problem - no one reliable would be available.

    I only had this unit for about two months now. While the beep and speaker volume are ok, the internal video camera resolution could use some improvement. I like the chimes when there is a door or window open but I wish the control panel had the voice option to let me know which door or window is opened or closed. I give it a three stars because I don't know how fast and efficient the system is in case of a break-in. Hopefully that will never happen.

    Installing the security device was pretty easy. I ordered an additional control panel which I had some issues with. While installing, the person I spoke with wasn't able to solve my problem, so it took a couple of weeks to work out. Also, one of the pieces of hardware that I ordered from Frontpoint looked like it may have been returned or handled before I got it, so I returned that. But aside from those issues, the security device was relatively smooth and the service itself works pretty well. I use my iPhone all the time to arm or disarm it, which is a big advantage. My old alarm system didn't have that, and that's one of the reasons I went with Frontpoint.
