    Frontpoint device was very difficult to install. We were not able to set it up. We only put it on the wall, but we couldn't attach it. The devices they gave us to put at the windows were not user-friendly. I talked to the team at Frontpoint and they were able to answer my questions. They said they were going to send some items and they did but we didn't install those again. We couldn't set up all over since it was very difficult to do so, but we're still using it.

    I've tried using their interactive features, but not through the smartphone. I tried to download the app and then do it, but we're doing it manually at home since we're always there at home. We're still using Frontpoint, but only minimally. If I had another opportunity, I would definitely go for other services because I didn't like to attach those things to the doors. The sensors they gave us would keep falling. It's not a good set-up.

    When shopping at different companies, I weigh the cost and the analysis angle, also with what services could provide service in our area because of contractual obligations or cellular service restriction. Another thing I liked about Frontpoint was that they are 100% cellular. It's wireless and easy to install. Just by talking to some of their people, I felt that their service was really attentive and thorough. They walked me through the installation and checked to make sure everything is setup correctly and that it all worked. Any time I've had a question, I call and talk to somebody really quick. They've always been good about discussing any technical questions I had or if I wanted to add any equipment or change the configuration. I feel like I'm a whole lot safer and I don't worry about anything happening again. I think one of the friends that I've recommended them to did get a system through Frontpoint because I ended up getting a FrontPoint reward.

    Installing the Frontpoint security device was very easy and I had a lot of help from customer service. We've had the system for over a year and we have all their interactive features which are very helpful. We've tripped the alarm a few times, forgetting that the motion sensors are on, and they send us a text right then. It's also very helpful to know that when we're away from home, somebody's making sure that nothing is there.

    I had Frontpoint for about a year. They've been very good. Installing it could have been better, but I was happy overall. It was relatively easy. Whenever I've had any problems, they've always been right there. It didn't seem to have long waits until I get to call somebody. It also has interactive features which enables me to control the system from my phone. I like it a lot and use it often. I feel more secure when I'm away. I know that they're going to get called if someone tries to get in. I've had the alarm go off by accident once and it's really loud, so I'm confident. I also had another false alarm where one of the alarm things fell off, the police actually showed up. I'm secure with the fact that the system works.

And so, when they're describing to you how to do something, they don't give me all the steps that I need to do. I have their app on my phone however, I've not tried it from my phone.

    The Frontpoint security was easy to install considering that dealing with technology is what I do at work most of the time. It took me half an hour and that's about it. Their representatives were friendly and polite. Except for the occasional false alarms, I needed to talk to them because I added one additional garage door sensor that I picked up elsewhere and I wasn't sure how to add it. I couldn't remember where to locate the maintenance access code.

    I always use the interactive features because I keep a close eye on what's going on at my daughter's place because she now has a roommate, another girl. I keep track, make sure the place gets locked up like it's supposed to, and the garage doors open and closed when they're supposed to. But only when something odd happens do I get involved in it and it's through the app that I get the notifications. It makes my daughter a lot more safer. There's no telling what may happen on any given day being her place a college town, but she knows that she has the option of pushing buttons here and there and getting a response when she needs it.

    Frontpoint was easy to install and their app is convenient because a lot of the people I live with forget to lock it so being able to arm and disarm it from the phone is very helpful. The only issue I have is that if I'm not in the house and I get a call from them saying the alarm is going off, there's no real way to know if it's just tripping out or if it's actually an issue. Other than that it works well so far.

    I had ADT before but one company recommended Frontpoint so we tried them out and had them for 4 years now. The installation of the security was seamless and straightforward. My husband sets the alarm all the time. I like the old school, but he uses his cellphone to do everything. We added them to our business.     I've used Frontpoint for a year or a little longer now. I came across them through an internet search. It was very easy installing the security device. There was a 30-day trial period where you get notifications through your phone but other than that I haven't tried any other interactive features. Having access to the system anywhere at anytime is convenient, though I didn't use it that much. Just for when I leave the house, we lock it down, I usually don't need to open or turn it off until I get to the house later on that day.

    I've had to call only a couple of times and the Frontpoint team has always been able to walk me through it over the phone. They've been very helpful. The ease of being able to work with them has been the highlight. My prior provider was very hard to work with. You always had to have a technician do everything for you, so you had to schedule that out even if you were completely down and without. Sometimes, it's two to three weeks before they could get somebody. It's ridiculous to have a security system that doesn't function and you're waiting weeks to get it fixed. The convenience of being able to do it over the phone is a big plus.

    I set up my Frontpoint security system maybe about a year and three months ago. I only use it when I'm in the house at night. But what I noticed is that my windows don't work and the alarm doesn't go off. One night they called because I pressed a wrong button and the alarm went off. But they were courteous.     I googled security companies to get their reviews and Frontpoint had the best customer service. They're our first security provider. We've had them for about 18 months now. Installing it was super easy. First of all, you get everything, call the FrontPoint customer service and they walk you through everything. I've used both the arming or disarming from the app or computer and receiving notifications on the smartphone. Having access and control to your system for anywhere at anytime, to be able to go in your mobile app and look and see if the door has been opened or turn the light on is excellent. It's awesome. When our kids come over and were not home, we have older kids that we can just turn off the alarm from our phone.

    It's just such a peace of mind. My husband and I can leave the house. When we go to bed, we don't have any worries if our house might be breached. We did have an issue with one of our sensors on our garage door. We have that happen twice, called customer service each time and they've been great. They really do have the best customer service.

    If you're a little bit technologically adept, it's a nice solution installing the Frontpoint security device. They have a great customer service, too. I use the system's interactive features and they're good. The video camera didn't work very well though and the system kept on sending me texts when nothing was moving so I disabled that feature.

    I have had Frontpoint for a little over a year already. I had an ADT system installed before, but it was going to cost me another thousand bucks for repair service so I cancelled it and then went with Frontpoint. One time, we called them because the stick-on closure things didn't stick out far enough for us to install them in properly, so I had to get a couple more magnets and reinstall, but nothing serious. All in all, everything's been fine and I'm happy with it. I've already recommended it to a number of people.

    Frontpoint was rated very high in customer service when I researched on the internet and there wasn't a great deal of difference in equipment. Installation didn't take but just a few minutes. The representatives have been very good. My keychain remote had gone out and they sent me another one in just a couple of days. My battery went out and they sent me another one. I call and they take care of it. I use their website all the time. If we're away from home and we don't remember if we set it, we can check and enable or disable it remotely. Since installation my wife is much more comfortable.

    I've been using Frontpoint for a year and a half and my experience is smooth. Installing it was a piece of cake. I called once to extend the amount of time I had to get my old 77-year-old body out of the garage, and to activate or deactivate the system to two minutes. That works seamlessly. And another time, I failed to operate the system correctly and got a phone call that said “There’s suspicious activity at your house,” and I went. That’s because I messed up. So I reset the system, and everything’s been smooth.

    I also let our local police know about Frontpoint. It’s a small California community, so they’d taken interest in that and they understand the system. They’ve worked with other Frontpoint people. So if something goes wrong with either fire or activity there, they have their protocol for responding. The house is unoccupied. I’m just protecting it because it’s empty. I only got there maybe once a week or something to check things out and there’s very little activity there.

It was simple to install but it easily falls off. The snap-on cover broke and I haven't had a chance to request a replacement or purchase a different cover for it.     We've had Frontpoint as our home security provider for almost a year now. We had a different home security provider before, and Frontpoint is better than that one. What stands out is the consistency. This other company that I had was always changing their rates, going up on me and just making changes at their convenience. I haven/t had any trouble with Frontpoint. Installing their system was really easy. I just read the instructions and I put everything in on my own. The only interaction I had with them was when I talked to them on the phone. At that point, I was going to have to cancel because my contract wasn't up with the other company, but they worked with me. They're really sweet and friendly and nice, and I really enjoyed it. They did a good job.

    My boys like the system a lot. When they leave home, they always set the alarm. Even if I'm inside the house, they'll set the alarm before they walk out the door. I think they are really enjoying that part of it, being able to lock me in. If I leave home, they'll find out. I have yet to understand what's that about, but they do it every time they leave home.

    Our home had been burglarized so we did some research online and reached out to Frontpoint directly. The team was amazing. The guy that sold me the service was very humble and wanted to make sure that we got a good experience. I ended up getting with one of their executive people about my experience. They actually seemed like they care. They wanted to find out what didn't go well and how to fix it. While it was frustrating at the same time, their response to it was excellent.

    There was a lot of issues surrounding the expectations of receiving the equipment. The idea of having been broken into and not feeling safe, and then it was gonna be five days until they could get it to us, based on a long weekend kind of deal. But once we got it, it was easy to put up on your own. We had a couple of issues with the sensors falling off the wall and falsely setting the alarm off. But other than that, it's been great.

    Frontpoint had an excellent initial offer in terms of rebates which was very reasonable compared to other companies we looked at. I like that their system is completely wireless and it wasn't cellular. It’s via Wi-Fi so there was an added bonus. We feel much more secure since we got the security device. We don't worry about leaving the house anymore. It worked great. All in all, it's easy, affordable and I'd recommend it to others.

    I have an alarm system. I push the button and allow people to come into the house. When the doorbell is pushed, and anybody answers, I can hear it alarm. So I know when the door's open and people are coming in. I'm still learning different things about the alarm system, how to operate it, etc. So far, I don't have any complaints. An alarm fell from the ceiling sometime ago and Frontpoint sent some new tape to put it back on there.

    It was simple installing the FrontPoint security device. It would have been great if they have told me that they have the recessed sensor at the time when I ordered the system. Nevertheless, everything's been good interacting with their staff every time I've ever had an alarm go off. We use the interactive feature of the device quite a bit and we like it. We have to use it to set our alarm when we're away because we have a garage door sensor. By the time the garage door goes up and you park a vehicle inside the garage, you don't have enough time to disarm it going inside the house. I've been very pleased with them for the amount of money I pay. Their response time, like getting a phone call, has been great.

    I've had Frontpoint for about a year and a half. We chose them since it was wireless as opposed to a wired setup where it had to be built directly to the home with the wiring. In case we move in a couple of years, that was an appealing thing. I read online that the install was pretty easy, I could do it myself, which was another big plus, which I was able to do myself pretty easily. Another reason is not having a long commitment. Those were the biggest things that made it a pretty cut and dry decision for us.The only woods we ran into were the sensors on the door was initially a little off. I called the customer service line and in 5 minutes we figured out what was wrong with the placement and fixed it. But other than that, a lot of it is just adhesive. I pull it off, stick it onto the wall. It's not very hard. It was almost about as easy as I expected.

    I've tried their interactive features from my smartphone and I like their app a lot because it's nice. I can just check it at work. "Did I turn on the alarm? What if I forgot?" I use that a fair amount. I've gone on the website too but the app is what I use more than anything else. I even have the settings configured so that if the door is opened while I'm at work, I get a push notification on my phone. The difference between knowing and not knowing what's going on in your house makes a huge difference. It's the difference between feeling fully secured and not. My family and some other folks have been looking into that and I told them that we've had a great experience with the Frontpoint system.

    We've had Frontpoint for a year and a half and it was easy to install it. I have their app too. I also feel more secure. With other alarm systems, their equipment seems kind of cheap. However, we're not the biggest fans of Frontpoint. We're ready for our contract to be up so we can switch over. I'm a paranoid person and those parts are really expensive for everything that I want, and I want more. Also, everything is through WiFi with Frontpoint. But what happens if my WiFi goes down and I still have electricity? My sensors wouldn't work so it doesn't exactly make me feel the safest. But their staff are nice and I'm okay with it.

    Frontpoint sensors are a little too sensitive for what I was looking for, and they don’t last. I talked to Darren and he helped us. He was really great and we got everything done. However, the sensors kept busting and goes off randomly. Nobody’s around, and a sensor would go off, so I don’t even know the ones that work anymore. But I couldn’t talk my husband into putting any more in because it also took a long time for them to get here to replace the sensors. Their guys are nice but they can only go so far with what they’re doing. Since the company got problems with their product, they can’t be doing the greatest. But I’ve had better experience with Frontpoint than a lot of people.

    I've had ADT before but I wasn't really happy with their customer service. So I decided to use Frontpoint which has been going for 18 months already. I liked how they used wireless technology so we didn't have to cut open drywall and make physical changes to the house. Installing them was straightforward and easy. When I think about what it does, I would say it was fairly painless. I've called them a couple of times for customer support and one time, I purchased additional sensors. Every experience I've had with them has been great. They're very friendly and helpful. Every time I've needed them for something, they've been pretty good.

    I get notifications on my phone and I like those a lot. I have downloaded the app on my previous phone but when I got a new phone, I didn't redownload the app. But I've gone online to the application and I renamed sensors so that when I get the text messages, they make sense. And I've also changed a lot of the time windows for when sensors should ignore like an open reading versus closed and that's been helpful.

    I've been using Frontpoint for a year and a half now and it’s been good. It was relatively seamless to install the device although I had three issues with bad sensors and not at great times. It seems if I’m leaving the country to travel internationally that is when I’ll have an issue. Ironically, I do travel quite a bit and it’s happened twice and there’s only so much they can do at that point which is disappointing ‘cause that’s the point at which I would want my alarm to be working the most - when I’m not gonna be there. But apart from that, I’ve been generally satisfied with Frontpoint.

    I called Frontpoint as I was receiving text messages every night at midnight. My unit was working just fine prior to calling Frontpoint, besides the text messages. Long story short, after my call with Frontpoint, my unit no longer works, and I'll be completely unprotected while I wait for them to ship a new control panel. Saying you're sorry can only go so far when I'm paying for a service that you're unable to provide, and are even responsible for it going down. As I said, Frontpoint is great, until it stops working. I've never had this type of problem with any other alarm company I've been with. Something to think about if you're looking at Frontpoint. I'm sure they have a lot of competition that won't leave you and your family unprotected.

    It's probably been a year and a half since I started using Frontpoint. It's pretty easy to install and everything was good with their team. I've done the interactive features on my phone app but we have a habit of just doing it at the module each time. It's good that I can access and control the system anytime I want at anywhere. I'm not worried. Something they could probably improve on would be to maybe hear from them every now and then. I don't think that I've ever received a call from them.     I've had the Frontpoint system for a little over a year and I like them. The instructions were clear in putting it in. It was simple. I’ve got this in a small business where I make and sell motorcycle tools. I mostly have online sales so I’m having my sizable investment of inventory guarded and protected. The office is divided into two parts: a small warehouse and a front entrance lobby. I have the motion detectors hooked up wireless to different locations so we can’t even come in either one of the doors without it triggering. I do not have the door opening sensors because of the way the door jambs are in-built. There are also five big windows where they could come through as easily as they come through the door. The motion detector covers it as well. Every time I walk in in the morning and when I come back from lunch, it's screaming so it’s working. It’s so easy, reliable, and it never failed me once. If I were to buy another tomorrow, it would be the same thing.

    My only suggestion would be for them to incorporate that with some cameras. I’ve got a camera that I bought to see who’s in the office and I can check on it with my smartphone or laptop. Frontpoint does not offer this service. I think that this would be an ultimate addition. In the event that the alarm went off, I can go check the camera so that I could tell whether I need to call the police before I get there.

Apparently, they are fixing the ability to adjust, like the method of payment online. The other issue I’ve had is the box on the control. For my security system, the volume on it is really loud all the time. I can go online and adjust the volume but it doesn’t seem to work. But other than that, for the price of the system, it’s worked pretty well.

    Frontpoint's price is a little higher compared to competitors. Based on that, I would always recommend to shop around. If Frontpoint can be more competitive, that would be helpful. There should be any thoughts as a company wide for a competitive price because I'm in the running at 2 years and after the 3rd year, I'd be out of contract. Installation wise, it's a pretty easy one. I am paying around 200 dollars for the system with the thing, I should be able to keep it and bring it wherever I go -- within US or abroad. But the best thing I like about Frontpoint is, it works pretty well with the apps. I use the alarm app all the time and it's great.

    I've had Frontpoint for about a year and it was the security system I got for a new property I purchased. The quality of service of Frontpoint started from day 1. The salesperson that introduced the service to me really sold the product to me. He was so professional, courteous, and patient - it took me around 5 phone calls. I gave these guys a lot harder time than they usually deserve. They continue saying that the installation is so easy, that anybody should be able to do it but I insisted that I wanted a professional to do it. Part of the reason is my not so favorable experience with ADT where I had issues with the initial installation where they actually provided professional services.

    I was in a city in Eureka where there is not much direct service provided, but Frontpoint managed to find people who have home security installation experience and asked these people to do it. They contracted and sent them to my house, and I was very grateful. I realize now it was very simple and I could have done it, but they certainly took it to heart that it meant something to me as a customer, and they provided it.

    As for their interactive features, the arming and disarming are the only ones I have used and we have used their online or on-the-phone feature of monitoring their different sensors and getting alerts when appropriate. I liked it. In my home, which is a different property, I used ADT but Frontpoint is head and shoulders above. I’m extremely happy with Frontpoint and I told them I can’t wait until my contract in my home with ADT is over so I can switch.

    It feels weird to write a review so quickly after receiving my kit (yesterday), but I feel I should so I can warn other Canadian customers. First off, I dealt with several reps and they were all very friendly. The equipment came quickly and set up was very easy. However... when I asked the first representative at Frontpoint if they service Canadian addresses, I really think he should have told me that yes they do AND to be aware that all prices I was quoted were in USD$. With the Canadian dollar as low as it is, this is a very real factor in considering the price. I haven't yet been billed the monthly charge, but I did see the charges for the equipment and it is much higher than what I expected. I now realize my monthly monitoring fee will be about $60 when I was told it would be $44.

    I'm now going to be shopping around to see what Canadian companies (or American companies that charge Canadian customers in their currency) have at a more constant price. I would be happy to stay with Frontpoint if I could be assured that my price would remain independent of the state of the Canadian dollar. If the company wants to do well in Canada, I suggest they look into the options for providing a fair price for their customers north of the border. At the very least, please list on the website that prices are in USD. Also, representatives should notify prospective clients of this fact. It would certainly save us a lot of time!

    We've had Frontpoint for two years now and it's a pain in the ** to install the security system. It's a self-install unit and the sensors couldn't be mounted to the windows the way they were supposed to without cutting part of the woodwork out of the window frame. I tried mounting the sensors a couple different ways and the pickups wouldn't connect. So I ended up having to modify my window frames. Outside of that, it was a piece of cake. I wish they had a little quicker response time when the alarm goes off. When the alarm goes off and if we don't get to it to shut it off in time, it’s still a couple of minutes before they call to check. But overall, I'm happy with the experience.

    With Frontpoint you have to do everything by yourself. I didn't get too far with it. I got a little frustrated. I set it up but then there were some of the sensors that were not okay or they'll fall and so I said, it's not working the way I wanted it and then I dropped it. It could work but if some professionals would install it, it would probably be better. For some people, it might be easier if Frontpoint offer that option, too. I ended up getting another alarm company because they came to my house and they installed everything and I didn't have to worry about it.

    I'm happy with Frontpoint. I've had it for about a year and we use it mainly at night. When I was installing the system, I had to call Frontpoint to make sure the door sensors were put on correctly. It wasn't difficult but my doors and door frames are not completely flat with each other. They're on a bit of an angle from each other so I wanted to make sure that the system would still work. I don't have the cameras but I have the mobile app on my phone and my iPod. It's useful. I use it to check if the sensors are armed or disarmed.

    It was very easy setting the Frontpoint system. It's wireless, which I like, so I didn't have any trouble. It was very straightforward. It's also wonderful being able to access and control the system through the app at anytime from anywhere. One time, I came home from vacation and forgot to disarm the alarm, so the alarm went off and before I had a chance to disarm it, I got a call from Frontpoint. They did what they were supposed to do. They had to get the password, which I had forgotten the first time, and the police were notified and I got a talk from the police. And then I remembered the password, so Frontpoint called back again and then I gave them the correct password and then they contacted the police department and told them it was a false alarm. It worked the way it's supposed to work.

You just hang it on your wall, and you call them, and they do everything from there. We didn't have to do anything. Plug it in and you're all set. The team members at the company are very good, very nice, very courteous and very responsive. I think being able to manage and control your system on the go is great. I love it. We feel much better that we have a security system in the house. In terms of worrying about a robbery or a fire, I always feel protected from any kind of fire or anything like that.     Frontpoint is my first home security system and I have been using them for about a year. I’ve had off and on battery problems with the system, and it's down right now. The battery and the main unit which has the keypad on are not working right. I also have a problem with my hearing and if I get very far away from the control panel, I can’t hear it. All the tone that the unit puts out is right at the edge of the limits of my hearing. For an ordinary person with good hearing, it will work fine. If I could get a better horn, that would probably take care of the problem. I got a different one from another company which Frontpoint recommended but it didn't work well either. The unit is almost useless to me. I’m paying $42 a month, but I’m not using it. I’m only waiting for the time I can disconnect.

    Frontpoint has a good salesman - he could've sold me ice cubes if he wanted to. Moreover, installation wasn't bad - I installed the device myself. I also have their remote control and I set it on my phone - it’s good and I like it. I did have a concern with them because I was having construction done in my house so I unplugged the system the whole day and not once did Frontpoint called to say, "Hey, nothing's being monitored on this house." and they didn't say much about it. Then when I asked to switch to a lower coverage rate because I don't use it often, they told me no. I have to say with it for that many years which then means that at the end of my contract, I'm going to cancel it.

    Dawn, the reason we never called you when you unplugged your system is because your panel has a 24 hour back up battery in it. Once that battery drains and goes out- then we will try to get in touch with you to tell you. This battery is there to prevent any system malfunctions during a power outage or if someone tries to disconnect your system.     I have been using Frontpoint as my home security service provider for over a year now. I don't think it's the most competitive one in the market so I don't know if I'll renew it. I think I could find other brands that are cheaper than Frontpoint. I know that other brands will let me get a phone app for $35. Here if I want another phone app, I have to add another $10 although the process of setting up the Frontpoint system was very easy. I find my interactions with their team to be very well. I'm happy with the product. Everything has been very satisfactory but I have to be mindful of my budget too.

Just make sure that when you're considering other systems, you're looking at the overall monthly service fee for a 100% cellular system and interactive features. When you find other companies offering $35 or less for interactive features, make sure they aren't leaving out that cellular monitoring. That is the only service we offer since we know it's the safest and unfortuntely most other systems only use that for an extra fee.     When we moved in our new house last June 2014, we put in Frontpoint as our home security system. Setting up was fairly easy, it didn't require any professional installation or anything like that. It was something we could do and we got telephone support when we needed it. They were very helpful and friendly, always positive interactions.

    However, the one surprise that we had to find out by looking at one of the videos is that when we applied for the service, the associate that we dealt with and told us about the sensors that stick on the door, did not tell us that they supplied the hidden ones that is put on the top of the inside of the door. We called and got those. Had we been informed about those during our initial sales call, we would have gotten that. I don't know if they didn't tell us because it was $10 more or what, but it would have been nice to know what the alternatives were. We prefer the ones that were hidden to something stuck on top of the door that's very visible.

    But I'd highly recommend Frontpoint. We were satisfied by it. It was easy to install and it provides us with what we wanted when we applied for the system, which is to feel a sense of security, and the cost is not that great. They also allow us to charge it to a credit card so we don't have to worry about making sure the bill is paid each month. That was another convenience for us.

    Setting up the system was little frustrating. But I called them and we figured it out after a few phone calls. The people that I talked to were pleasant and very helpful.

    Frontpoint is a little pricey. I wish they were a little less expensive. But they're user-friendly. They're easy to access when you need help like when I accidentally opened the door and set off the alarm. I don't have any security system to compare them with. Plus we can access and control the system anytime, anywhere, which is handy. We wouldn't have gotten the system without that feature.

    I've used the security system for a little over a year now. Before I got it, I do not feel secure at all. It helps me a bit but there's still that little mind over matter thing I got going on.

    I have used Frontpoint for a year and a half. The set up was very easy. It took only 20 minutes. Their team has been very helpful and friendly. They were not too pushy. Whenever I had to call them, response was fast. I'm a little bit dissatisfied though about their video monitoring. Compared to the rest of their products, it's not good. I wish it had flexibility to record or to set up time that I would leave it on. Nevertheless, I use their mobile app all the time. Being able to access and control your system anytime, anywhere is a very strong selling point for me. It's pretty impressive. But I don't know about the security part of it. What if somebody else can access the same data? So at this point, I don't have any basis to verify that that's hack-proof. But for most purposes, it seems to work well. I know there are companies that are a little bit cheaper but they didn't offer access through the phone. I wanted a system that ran off of a Wi-Fi even if somebody cut the phone line that's why I picked that system. I've also been really happy with their customer service.
