    I feel very secure now that I have Frontpoint security system in my home. We've been using it for a year and it was easy to install. They have their own mobile app and we like accessing our security system through it. We had one interaction with the Frontpoint team when we couldn't shut the system off because we couldn't remember the word password. They were concerned that we were being robbed but it was our own fault because we screwed up.

    It was easy installing Frontpoint but there was a bunch of problems in the beginning. They sent me a broken battery and when I got the battery in, they figured out that it wasn't my battery and was my home module system. They reimbursed me for the first month of payment since there was no service being used. The representatives were always friendly and cool. Being able to access and control the system remotely is more convenient and it makes me feel more safe. I could be at school and check my house real quick. It’s a little more peace of mind. We feel better because of the fact that I have a sensor on every window. They were all free because of the whole mess up with the module. They pulled through and that's why I'm still a customer paying the monthly payments.

One time, we had a sensor that seemed to be malfunctioning so I spoke with somebody who helped me reset the sensor and that went pretty well. As far as the motion sensors and the door alarms are concerned, I think Frontpoint works just as well as any other company, and having the app is what we really needed.

    I was researching on the internet for security systems and started reading some of the reviews and information about Frontpoint. It sounded like a pretty good system, so I thought I'd give it a shot. We got the system in around July 2014. Installation was very simple. The only criticism I would have is that they have these little sensors to detect opening and closing of doors - one on the door and one on the frame around it - however, not every door sill are flat. So I had to use a saw and Dremel tool to cut openings for some of them, to make them fit. It wasn't a real difficult thing to do but it definitely mars the appearance of the door frame.

    We sold our home in January and moved. We took the Frontpoint system but I need to cancel with them since there was already a system in the house we're renting. I haven't used it for a year but I'm still making every month on it due to the set contract they have - this is one of Frontpoint's drawbacks in my opinion. I know of other systems similar to it that do not require this set contract. Hence, I'd never do Frontpoint again.

    I like Frontpoint but I think it's too expensive. There's a lot of new, and upcoming brands offering the same services for less. I would like to see if it'd be a little bit less, maybe $25 instead of $47 which is what I think that I'm paying right now would be a good target. But I'm really satisfied with the services so far. I keep having a problem with one of my sensors that's always malfunctioning but I think I just need to replace it.

    I've had another provider before Frontpoint and comparing the two, one was like trash and the other was like gold--there's a big difference. I love Frontpoint and I feel that I have a better chance of being taken care of or surviving if I was in a real emergency. I disarm it with my phone and set it up so I could see when someone’s going in and out of my house. I have each of the doors named so I have control over what time somebody comes in and when they go out. Moreover, the people at Frontpoint's team are great.

    Our neighbor from across the street had a break-in, so we wanted some security for ourselves and called Frontpoint. We needed something that we could install ourselves. They were good and in our budget. It was easy installing the system. Frontpoint is our first security provider and we've had them close to a year now. It works and we're happy with it. Every time we check it, we can see if it's armed or not. I am hoping that there won't be an incident to test it.

    However, I am very concerned that they go with the whole no-window thing. One of their guys said to put the alarm in the hallway and in the kitchen, but 99% of our valuables are in our bedroom. If somebody goes in through the window, they can empty our bedroom, be out of there with $40,000 worth of jewelry and we'd never know because the alarm would never go off. So one downfall of the whole system is we don't have the window sensors, which I think is important. Another thing is I didn't know there was an app available on the smartphone for arming and disarming the system. I am glad that there is one, though, because on one trip, I forgot to arm it before we got on the plane. We had to arm it when we were in New Jersey. We got online to do it. But other than that that, I'm very happy.

    We came from the ADT world where if the alarm went off, about a minute or so later we’d hear from them. If the Frontpoint alarm goes off and I’m talking accidentally, my cellphone is ringing and the landline would be ringing within 20 seconds. On top of that, I’m getting push notifications on my phone that the alarm is going off so I like that aspect of it. Outside of that, again they call and great customer service. Short of that, my only experience was with the installation. They were very helpful, they did everything they said they were going to do, and very easy to install. A good experience so far all around.

    It was easy installing Frontpoint’s device. I’ve been using them for a couple of years already, and I’ve also tried their interactive features. However, I had a problem with the system. The alarm went off in the middle of the night, which made us think that we had an intruder or something going on, but it was only because the magnet was rusty from humidity, probably from the bathroom. I didn’t know that that was what happened, but Frontpoint was able to fix that. Apart from that, I’m happy with the overall experience.

    I haven’t had any issues with Frontpoint and there are no strings that need to get resolved. But I’m having trouble with the alarm. It has an error message, something like “keychain open”… I’m not sure what it is. Also, I still haven’t figured out how to put my window sensors on. I need to call them for that. And I think the battery’s running out too, so I need to replace that. But other than that, their customer service has been really good. They’re polite and able to answer my questions. They probably just need to get the system up, but I’m fine. I’m happy with the experience.

    Frontpoint’s customer service has always been to the point. They answer the phone fast and I’ve always had my issue resolved really quickly. I never had any delays, missed advice, or anything like that. Installing their device was pretty easy to do as well. I did a non-standard thing where instead of installing it near an outlet, I used the existing wire of my current alarm system that was through the wall for the power, so that I could keep the power where it was on the existing alarm system, but put the head unit where the older one was.

    However, when I got my system, I got one of the cameras that they supply that’s like a fully articulating wireless camera, and I don’t know if it’s necessarily Frontpoint’s fault, but the camera device that they sell is rather expensive. Plus, the applications for mobile phones at the time hadn’t been updated so it didn’t work with the latest iOS which I had. Also, the web viewer used a really old Java applet, so the client software that’s used to view the cameras is across the board, not up-to-date at all. So, I had to give that camera back to them because it was useless for me. But other than that, everything has been fine with Frontpoint.

    When I set up my initial installation, I called and had a conversation with Frontpoint's rep. I told them about all the windows and entrances to my house, and he recommended what I should put a sensor on and what I shouldn't. To finish the sensors in my home would have cost me $500, so they just went as cheap as possible setting me up. Then my home was broken into. I called to tell him that my home was broken into in a window that I was told I didn't need a sensor on, and they didn't care. All they could say was, "You can get more sensors for $32 a piece." And the only thing they could offer me was a hundred-dollar credit. I had to do a lot of manual stuff to make the house feel more secure since my security system isn't very good and it costs $500 to cancel my account.

    The Frontpoint security device is pretty simple and easy to install. For some reason the two-sided tapes wore out and the sensor would fall, which tripped my alarm system to go off. I had to call them then, but they were very helpful. They sent me new two-sided tapes to put on there. I usually set the alarm from my phone, and it works good. The app sometimes would freeze and it might take me two to three times to actually set it. I feel confident that I have the system at the house because I don't have to worry about my house as much. But I wish they offered more sensors as far as the different windows when I first sign up. I got three doors and the glass-breaking one. I can't remember if they offered anything for windows, but I think I should get at least three doors and three windows for how much I have to pay for it.

    I've had Frontpoint as my home security provider for a year-and-a-half. Setting Frontpoint up wasn’t hard. I had set up security systems before so it was just learning theirs and getting familiar with the cellphone part of it. I have the app set up on my phone and the same app controls the set up in our church where I’m a minister so that’s a convenience, too.

    Before, I had ADT that I'd never use again. They differ in customer service - the honesty. For Frontpoint, I get what they promised from the setup to everything. It was a little different because I bought the material and they helped me set it up versus ADT coming in and doing it. But still, the customer service is night and day. Everyone from Frontpoint that I’ve talked to has been wonderful, very customer-centric. I worked 20 years in customer service and I couldn’t be more pleased with how I’m treated and the service that I get anytime I call. It’s top of the line. I guess that’s why they got their rating the way it is.

    Having a security system is something. We moved to a new neighborhood. We didn’t know our neighbors at the time. The primary reason that I got it is for the fire and for the insurance. It helps with my insurance rate and it offers a sense of security. And then I’ve set up wireless cameras so I can monitor my house. And if I needed to, I could even trigger my alarm from my phone. So it’s very convenient. I have recommended Frontpoint.

    Installing the Frontpoint device was very easy to do, although when I went over what equipment I would need to properly monitor the home, I believe that the equipment that we had discussed was very minimal. I had to go back and say, "Listen, there are too many breaches in the house that could happen that won't set off the alarm." I was able to get three more motion sensors that they sent me at the same discount when I originally signed up and that was nice of them because once you buy your equipment and then you need more equipment, you don't get the same deal; you have to pay the regular standard price versus the entry-level price. With my current alarm setup that I have, I feel that if someone breached our home, it suffices enough to be properly covered.

    I saw a deal on Angie's List, did my research on Frontpoint and saw that they were a highly rated company. I tried other providers before but said they can't do it because I haven't had a pre-existing alarm system. But with Frontpoint, everything looked good. Every time I've called them, they've always been nice. They were totally understanding when I had identity theft and my credit cards got all jacked. It took me two months to reset everything because they took everything. They were cool with letting me not make a payment for almost three months until I got all my identity theft stuff straightened out.

    Setting up the system, I just read the manual, which was self-explanatory. But at the same time I also talked to their customer service rep for some tests and everything's legit. Even their cellphone app works awesome. It's sweet because it's like giving somebody the key but you don't. I unlock it before they get home and once they're inside the house, I reset it to sleep mode. Since having the system for over a year, it helped a little bit. I've been broken into before so just to have an alarm system that actually works makes me feel a lot safer.

    Frontpoint is very user-friendly. I dealt with customer service several times, every time I've had trouble and I needed technical support, and it's been great. They'll make sure that they test it with you. They'll check all of your things on a systemic level and they're really helpful. However, when I moved from my first house to my second house, I had a lot of trouble with updating my address. So when my alarm would go off, they would tell me they're sending police to my old address and that happened three times even though I tried to update my address several times.

    I tried to update my secondary contact phone number several times and that took a while so my friend was getting called in the middle of the night if my alarm was accidentally set off. Every time I talked to them, they were nice but there's so many mistakes. This is not safe and this isn't good service. I really like the people and I just hope that they can improve some things.

    I called Frontpoint to do the activation of their system and their team gave me a couple of tips. Everybody was very nice and easy to work with. I use the arming and disarming feature in my smartphone all the time. I'm in IT and it's actually one of the better apps that I have on my iPhone. It's stable and it always works, so it's absolutely a great feature. It was one of the selling points for a new system. I feel a lot more secure.     Negatives - My install didn't go well. Took a lot of time (over several days) to install. Had to drill holes for some door sensors. Bad battery in the console - it was replaced.     Having Frontpoint is really good especially with the app and the flexibility of what I can do with the monitor. But my Frontpoint unit's battery runs out pretty quickly so it's plugged to a GSI surge protector and one day it shut down so it was on the backup battery but only lasted for maybe an hour then it just stopped. I don't know if it happens again if that backup battery will charge up by itself or that it won't be used up again. Also, the mounting of the tape in the back was difficult to mount on the wall. So that was dissatisfying but other than that, everything else was perfect and my experience with them is pretty good.

    We used to have Vivint before Frontpoint, as our home security provider. If I compare the two services, it’s like night and day. I had a lot of problems with Vivint. Installing Frontpoint was not bad; however, I had to call two different times. One time, it was because I was having a problem setting it up so I can turn it on and off remotely from my app. It took a little while to get that corrected, but somebody was able to ultimately get that working. Another time was when they forgot to add the smoke detectors during the initial installation. I had to call back to get those added on. And then, my cat withdrew the cord that connects the keypad to the power, so they sent a replacement for it. Now that we use the system more, we feel more secure because it’s also more convenient.

    Our home's previous owners already had Frontpoint so they had sensors already in place. I just needed to add a couple that I wanted and hook up the box so it was pretty easy to install. I've had to talk to customer service a few times regarding adding new sensors and they walked me through setting it up and did a good job with that. I've had a smoke alarm that malfunctioned twice so I had to have that replaced a couple of times. The interactive features all works really well and I love it. Aside from that smoke alarm issue that somehow failed twice (two different ones), everything else has been good. Overall, it's been a good system and I've been happy with the service.

    I’ve been using Frontpoint for a little over a year now, and I’ve had no problems with it at all. I’m actually working in prison and I work at night, so it’s more for my wife and her security. The system, itself, was a self-install kit. It took a little bit of know-how to install it. It took a bit of time to get everything mounted and get some of the sensors working. I wish they had included something to be able to get the two sensors lined up directly, but beyond that, it was pretty easy to install. After that, I haven’t had any problems with the system. It’s completely wireless so I’m able to set it. Their customer support was readily available when I needed to get the system activated. I didn’t have to wait forever like you do in a lot of places to get an actual person on the phone.

    Their interactive features is also nice. The only thing I wish it had was a constant two-way communication, because a lot of times on my smartphone, it says that the system is armed even when it’s not. I have to go in and use my phone to disarm and then re-arm it again. And the other thing I would add would be additional features to the system itself. For instance it seems like the keypad, being a nice, big system, could be more robust with a little more features on it. But in general, the system is easy to operate.

    Installing Frontpoint was really easy. The only problem that I had is that the industrial strength command strips don't stick to one part of my house, so our alarm has gone off a couple times in the middle of the night because it's fallen off the ceiling. But the Frontpoint team has been positive and helpful every time I've called in. They've sent a replacement immediately after the glass break fell off the ceiling.

    Also, being able to control the alarm using the smartphone is a great feature. I live with two roommates and we're on different schedules. It's been helpful to be able to see if the alarm's on before I go in. I grew up with an alarm so it's nice to have it there in case I'm home alone. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint to a friend, but the issue with the Glass Break has been frustrating. Otherwise, it's been a painless process with great customer service.

    We've had Frontpoint for about a year now and we like them. We used ADT before and we had the motion sensors on two doors. Now, we have a better service with Frontpoint because we got the motion sensors on all exterior doors which make us feel more secure. We're also able to use our cell phones to access the system remotely, anytime. In case we're out somewhere and we need to allow someone to get into our house, we could disarm it, but we’ve never had to do that. We had some trouble initially during installation because we didn't have cell phone reception in our house, so we had to get a booster and their team was really helpful in getting that set up. There were a few times when my husband and I set off the alarm. One night while we were asleep, something malfunctioned and the alarm went off but they've called and have been helpful.     I first heard about Frontpoint from a co-worker. I got their system thereafter and have had it for almost a year now. Installation of the system was pretty painless. There was one issue with one transmitter and one sensor, but Frontpoint reps were able to take care of those. My interactions with their team have been brief but pleasant. I use the Frontpoint app all the time, it's the only way I arm and disarm the system. It's pretty cool, but there's a lag between the wireless network and the transmission from the box to the system. It usually takes probably 20 to 30 seconds when I turn the lights on and off remotely. It's really quick at other times though. When I installed it, I had to call their team and have the file hooked up, and they have always been great. A couple of times the maid has set it off, so I've also talked to the representative every time that happens, but everything has all been good. I definitely like being able to access our device on my phone because, occasionally, I go to work and I'd go "Did I turn it on or not?" So, being able to check it is much better this way.     The equipment was easy to install but I would recommend sensors to be mounted to a wall be equipped with screw holes so they can be mounted into a stud. Two sensors fell from the wall and had to be replaced using adhesive tape even though the surface was properly cleaned. Customer service was very good when contact had to be made.

    From 6:00 in the morning, my husband and I were trying to use my cell phone to put the alarm at home and nothing worked. When we called Frontpoint, we waited for 45 minutes on hold. Finally, someone got the phone and said that nothing was wrong with them and that maybe it was my cell phone. However, it was clearly a problem with Frontpoint and not my cell phone as I also tried from home, from a computer, and even from my husband's cell phone and nothing worked until 11:00 in the morning.

    I was happy with both Frontpoint and ADT, which I used before, and I never had a problem with both. But, I was thinking in calling to talk to someone because the person who talked with me was super not nice, and no one can give me a solution. If I am paying some service to get my house secured and they cannot give me a solution when I need it, then it's not working. What would have happened if someone got in my home in that period with no service? Overall, I'm happy with Frontpoint, but today is not a good day for me.

    We’ve been using Frontpoint for two years now. Prior to that, we used ADT for 11 years, and there is no comparison. Frontpoint is unbelievably awesome. They are so responsive. I always get through a person, and there’s never been a single time when they couldn’t walk me through something in one phone call. I chose the do-it-yourself model as much as I could, and even designed my own system. They gave me the freedom to do that. So I made more calls than probably their typical client, and there wasn’t a single time they couldn’t resolve the issue. Then they call to follow up and make sure that I was okay and satisfied. I like how they do a recap. Also, there was never any after call sales push for anything. It’s just been great. Everything came in a box where everything’s laid out. And then the design that I discussed, as well as instructions where to place things and warnings that covered different scenarios, were there, so it’s really easy and simple.

    I also use their interactive features a lot exclusively via cellphone and computer. And when I have guests over, I assign them a temporary passcode for the timed duration that they’re around. The system allows me to do that. Moreover, when I wanted to name all of my sensors, I called customer service and they opened up the portal so that I could, and they did all the names for me. I have over 30 sensors and now I know the name of each one, which is beyond the scope of the generic. Now when I look at my device, I know exactly what’s happening in different locations of my home. I travel 22 days a month, and the reason I bought Frontpoint was for mobility and peace of mind, knowing what’s going on when I’m not there. I’ve recommended them to some friends, and I’ve even gotten promotional things so I know my friends have signed up. Frontpoint has exceeded all expectations.

    I’ve had Frontpoint for two years, and it’s been great. I installed the system myself, and I had it all done in a few hours. Everything was sent to me in a box. I put it all together and now it works without incident. We used ADT before that, and although I didn’t really have much problems with ADT, I like Frontpoint because I can configure it myself, and it works on my phone. And that’s perfect as that’s why I got it. I did have an issue with it about three weeks ago where they had to reset something because it wasn’t registering, but I just called the help center and they fixed it in about five minutes.     I had no regrets and our experience using Frontpoint as our home security provider around a year now seems to be great so far.     My husband goes to work early in the morning and leave the alarm on because I'm asleep. So when I wake up I'll be puttering around the house and I haven't turned it off and I see something outside and I'll be "Oh, I'll take the garbage out" or "I'll sit there and I'll do that" and I go out and you can't hear the alarm outside. And so the alarm will go off and the police will come. It happened more than once. It was pretty bad. They'll come for two times and then the third time, you're out. They start charging you because you're wasting their time. It's $50 the first time, $100 the second time. There's this one time I ran out and then I came in as the alarm was going and so I hurried and called Frontpoint and the girl was so nice. She said, "I will quickly call police dispatch and see if we can stop them," and she did! I was like, "Thank you! You saved me a hundred dollars!"

    Overall, Frontpoint's been so great. We've given them our phone numbers as well as our neighbor's number to call to call should the alarm go off. I'm so lucky that I can count on them because the one time that I called to say, "Oh sorry. False alarm." They wanted to know my password then they asked me, "Is everything all right there?" The only thing that I haven't liked, which we could remedy if we wanted to spend the money, is if someone were breaking into the home, they would hear it and would frighten them off, but we can't hear it outside. However having this system makes me feel safe and if my husband has to be out of town, I can stay here alone and not be totally overwhelmed with fear.

    I knew I needed to get some kind of security system because I got some neighbors two doors down that are kind of wild and have had words with them because they had some bad dogs charging my dog. Unfortunately, I heard bad things about ADT such as billing problems so I checked into Frontpoint. The price was right and it's not a long-term commitment. Also, if I wanted it monitored for three years, then I'd own the equipment.

    To date, I've had Frontpoint for about a year and a half and it was very simple installing it. Their customer service was good in walking me through the process. There was no rushing, instead, they said, "We got plenty of time, we'll wait." Their team's great. I also like the wireless part of the device. It's not connected outside or to a phone line.

    I use Frontpoint's window and door monitors. I don't use the motion sensor since I have a new dog and I'm afraid he'll set it off. It'll be more getting called and police showing up. I haven't tried their interactive features too. I figured that was a feature that would cost more and I didn't want to add that to my $42 bucks a month. I sleep good at night. Overall, everything seems to be going good. It's very simple, quick and the thing is dependable.

    Installing the security device from Frontpoint was very easy and it saved me a lot of time. I didn't need a professional and everything looks high-tech and digital, unlike the one that I installed before, which is old. Frontpoint is better compare to my previous provider. Their team responds quickly, whether it is a false alarm or a real one, so I'm happy about that. They get in touch with me and if we will order the police or fire department. I mostly use my key chain remote control and check the service on the computer.     Frontpoint has an excellent customer support. It's very easy to contact customer support and get good information. Technical support is a lot better with Frontpoint than my previous security provider. They mail me what I need. The Frontpoint team were always very friendly, and do whatever they could do to make sure I understand what I needed to do and if I had any other questions to resolve at the time. The installation is very simple. To change out of the equipment is very simple, I order what I need and then I have it in the mail. We have the active video monitoring, check on our security system, and use the remote, the arming, disarming system as well. It's important to us as we're aware and when we are travelling, we have the ability to check on our house and the system. Since we have Frontpoint, we have a good sense of security.     Frontpoint is probably everything I wanted that ADT couldn't give. Installing the device was a piece of cake. Anybody could do it and communicating with them was easy. They were very friendly over the phone. I use my smartphone all the time to check the system. I can see which sensors are activated, which are not and I can arm it when I'm at work. Sometimes, if we forget to arm it when we're leaving, I can just check on my phone and do it. Or if someone disarms it, like my wife, I'll get a little notification. I feel good about accessing and controlling the system anytime from anywhere. I absolutely love it. Everything seems to be working fine and I haven't had any complaints. There were outages a few times because there was only so much battery that the system can be used as a backup. But that's not a Frontpoint security problem.

    Since Frontpoint was installed, everything is fine and the device is easy to use. There's one incident where the sensor fell down because the back screws were not strong enough. I was outside then and I panic because the line is off. So, I had to drive back home for two hours. However, the team was friendly, and I feel much better since having the security device.

    The installation of the Frontpoint security device was a breeze. When I ordered, they sent all the components for the house and it went in very easily. The only problem I had with it is we live in a rural area where cell phone reception is not super strong, and I had to put the system where we could get a good enough signal. I've contacted them at least a couple of times on the connectivity to my cell phone and the issue was resolved quickly. I use the arming and disarming feature a lot because it's a great idea. It works for me because I always forget to set it when I leave the house. My wife and I are both retired, so we're at the house a lot. I feel pretty good about things being secure. Their rates need to be more competitive, but so far I'm totally happy with the setup and the system.
