I had ADT before but it turned out to be not what I thought it was. I got rid of it real quick and switched to Frontpoint. It didn't take too long to install Frontpoint's system. It was easy. I know that the system is there but I wouldn't say we're safer because no alarms will save us from someone breaking in but as far as sense of security, I hope the alarm would go off if something does happen.
Glad to hear that you were able to get you system all setup! Thanks for your feedback and please let us know if you ever need anything going forward.

The reps at Frontpoint are very kind and understanding when asked for help with the system's technology. Installing our Frontpoint security device was very easy. The kit came ready-to-go, so there wasn't really a whole lot for me to do other than to just stick the sensors on. I use the phone app every day to arm and disarm the system. In fact, I hardly use the touch panel because it's a lot easier to do it through the phone. It's the best. I would recommend it to anyone.
Thanks so much for the great recommendation and please let us know if you ever need us in the future!

Installing the Frontpoint security device has been simple yet frustrating. Their reps told me to read the box, do this and do that. I'm not technically challenged so I did it at first. But the cameras were a pain in the neck. I don't rely on them too much because they're very erratic. Sometimes they work and recognize the system, but sometimes they don't. It's either a connection problem or a hardware issue because it's a plug and play device - just hook it up and it finds a signal. I'll look up and they're not on so I go on to a device to view one of the cameras and it doesn't show anything. And then a day later, it's on again without doing anything to it. I just gave up on it. But my wife's more worried about it than I am. She likes it since she uses it and feels safe when I'm gone. But overall, there's satisfaction knowing that if the door opens, we'll know, and if somebody breaks in, there's the alarm. With that, I'd recommend it.
Thank you for your feedback Micheal! We're glad to hear that you're feeling safer with your system as that is what our main goal is! We also would like the opportunity to assist you with your cameras so we will have a Support Specialist reach out to you to assist!

The installation of the Frontpoint device took about 45 minutes and it was pretty basic. I just peeled and taped it where I needed it to be put. Their team was really nice and helpful. They didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need, which I really liked. I called and told them I wanted to update my panel and I had no problem. Anytime a door or a window is open, I'll get a notification. It's nice to be able to arm it when I'm not home and turn the lights on and off. It lets me know who's home, who's not home and if someone's in my house that shouldn't be. I feel more secure now that I have a security system. They're a good company with a user-friendly product.
Glad to hear that you were able to get your system all setup and that you are feeling more secure!

I like Frontpoint a lot. I had the Vito before. They came by once before and their prices were so expensive. Frontpoint offers a lot better price for what you get. Their reps are pretty good too - friendly, professional and quick. They ask questions about my experience and my qualifications as far as being mechanical. That way they could help me because they have different options. I can get different equipment that is more intensified with the installation but I could also stick with the real easy stuff. If you're half way mechanically inclined, you can install the system yourself so it's really easy. I went with the door sensor that you do not see which was set inside the door, so it's a little bit more pleasing to me aesthetically. I've got the capability of installing that but some other people might need to go with the outside if they need a simple installation.
I have used other security systems at other people's houses and I have not had my own before. Compared to those systems, Frontpoint's system is user-friendly and easy to program. I also like that it was a cellular system and it uses its own battery instead of direct power so the price was fire. I didn't get the package that I really wanted because it was a little bit more than what I wanted to spend, so I downgraded a little bit but I'm getting pretty good service from the package I got. With the smart home functions, I can control my air conditioning while I'm not at the house or turn it on an hour before I come home. I don't have to leave it on all the time or if I leave for the weekend and I forget to turn it off, I can turn it off. Sometimes I leave and forget if I had set the alarm or not. If somebody is coming over to my house, I can disable the alarm using the smartphone for them. I wish I also had cameras outside the front yard.
Having Frontpoint makes me feel a lot more secure knowing that if somebody brakes into my house, that the alarm will go off and I'm going to be called. The situation could be addressed right away and not just come home to find the house vandalized. When I got a bunch of different things in the house, I know it doesn't take very long to take things out of the house because I used to work with the Police Department, so time is an issue. But if signals break into a house and there's no alarm, they can take their time and clear it out. They can be meticulous and go through everything. When there's an alarm, they will either get scared, run right away, or are they will just grab whatever they can see instantly within feet and then run.
On the other hand, I wish the buttons were a little faster. If I had to sit, hit a key and then wait before hitting the next key, it would drag me a little nuts. I can't key in my number really quickly and I have to push it in a little slower otherwise, it doesn't register your touch on the screen. I have to take my time.
Vincent, we'd like to thank you for being a part of the Frontpoint family and forallowing us to protect your home and family. With Frontpoint, we don't have false alarms and any concerns. Also, we've had very satisfactory responses with any questions we've had or alterations we've had to do. We recently added another sensor and we had no problems. I called and told them what I was interested in, and in five minutes we identified what was needed. I got the price, bought it online, took 15 minutes to install and it's working fine. Being wireless is one of the deciding factors for us switching from ADT. Also, accessing the system through our phone gives us more peace of mind. It's a good value. We recommended it to a friend and I went to him and helped him install the device. It's installation by the book for dummies and it worked out well. He's very pleased. I will continue recommending them.
It's so great to hear that you have had such a smooth experience with us! Thanks for the wonderful recommendation and please let us know if you ever need anything in the future.

I live by myself and so security was among my number one concerns when I moved into my house. Being by myself was a little bit scary, so I wanted a security system that was going to be reliable for me. I googled for the most reliable and best security system, and chose Frontpoint over ADT because of that. I've used Frontpoint for a year. I called to set up and the rep was super-nice and explained everything. I got emails just like he said. It was super-easy. Right away, I got the package to set up everything. I only had one issue and I called, got right through, and they helped me with the problem that I had, so I was very happy with that. Nothing bad sticks out with installing the security device, so that was a good experience. It was really self-explanatory doing it. It was nice that it wasn't like rocket science.
I tried disarming the security system from my phone and arming it when I had driven out of the driveway. I forgot to arm it and set it from my phone. I have also disarmed once from my computer. This interactive feature is very simple and easy, and user-friendly. I like it. Obviously, I can't do the Motion One anymore, even though I signed up for that, because now I have a big dog. He'll pretty much set off the alarm and that would be bad. The Frontpoint security system has been wonderful. I feel good knowing that I can arm it before I go to bed or before I go to work, and know that the animals inside will be safe and my belongings inside will be fine.
Frontpoint's main priority has always been to provide our customers with a greater sense of security so to hear that you are feeling safer lets us know that we are doing our job. We appreciate you sharing your experience and ask that you reach out to us if you ever need anything!

Front Point contacted me and refunded me a credit of $299.00 which is the amount to cover the balance they had placed with a collections company.
I would have been more impressed with a refund closer to the $1,500 they charged me over the years for equipment and services I never activated.
However, I feel it is necessary to add to my review that Front Point did refund me a small portion of that amount to an attempt to rectify this situation.
I wish the first 2 FrontPoint representatives I spoke to about this matter just days before I wrote my negative review, had been this accommodating. Front Point could have avoided a negative review altogether. Unfortunately, it took a published negative review online for Front Point to attempt to reconcile.
Original Review: Sept. 14, 2016
Frontpoint charged me $49.99 a month during a course of 3 years equaling over $1,500 for a monitoring service I never used. In 2013 I purchased monitoring technology for approx $2,000 from Frontpoint. Due to working 2 jobs to care for a very ill mother I never activated the technology here at my home. To this day, it's still in the box. I just received a collections notice from Frontpoint stating them I owe them $149.00. I looked back on my bank statements and $49.99 had been taken out of my bank account since 2013 for a monitoring service I have never set up, or used. I have many auto-pay withdraws in my bank account which made life so much easier between my mother's affairs (who just passed away recently) and my own. I am finally now, after her passing, able to have time to look over all of my accounts more in detail.
I called and spoke to a supervisor at Frontpoint today who explained to me there was a one year contract I had agreed to beginning in 2013 which entitled Frontpoint to charge me the monthly $49.99 even though I had not activated their monitoring service or even hooked up the cameras, and the $2,000 worth of technology I purchased from them. He continued explaining to me the following year of 2014 that I had spoken to Frontpoint and they agreed to credit me $149.00 towards activation when I choose to do so.
Well, I never did activate the monitoring services however the course of the last 3 years Frontpoint (knowing I still had not connected the monitoring service) continued to withdraw $49.99 from my bank account and continued to do until recently equaling over $1,500.00 of my hard-earned money: 2013 Nov. and Dec. at $49.00/mth - $99.00, 2014 Jan. through Dec. at $49.99/mth - $599.88, 2015 Jan and Feb. $49.99/mth - $99.00, 2016 Mar. through May at $49.99/mth - $749.85 = $1,547.73 TOTAL.
In conclusion, Frontpoint justifies charging me for almost 3 years for a monitoring service that seems to cost me $49.99 a month for doing what exactly? My equipment was never hooked up to it. They are also not willing to credit me the $149.00 they promised back in 2014 because they stated my account is in collections (affecting my credit score presently!).
Frontpoint is also not willing to refund a dime of the over $1,500.00 of monitoring services I never used, or even offer me the option at this juncture a refund by accepting a return of any of the $2,000 in equipment that was never opened. I can see by the positive ratings online that Frontpoint offers excellent monitoring services. I wouldn't know because I never used the monitoring services for the almost 3 years I was charged for these same exact services. Sound like fair business to anyone out there?
Kim, thank you for bringing your concerns to our attention. Rest assured, we have one of our Support Supervisors looking into your situation and we will reach out to you shortly to discuss everything in detail. Thanks again and we look forward to speaking with you soon!

My home was broken into and that’s what prompted me to get a security system and I went with Frontpoint. I’m a research-oriented person and ADT was rated number one at the time. But when I did my research, I found that Frontpoint was going to give me more for less money and they were more toward what I wanted in a home security system. Installing it wasn't the easiest. I did it yourself and it was a little tricky. I wasn’t successful on the first go round with putting the devices on my doors and I was little frustrated with that. When I called them, though, they walked me through it. I wish I would’ve called in to do it in the first place, as opposed to watching a few YouTube videos. I looked at their install video but it didn’t look like the same things that I got in my box. But the gentleman from Frontpoint talked me through it on the phone and it went really well. They were super helpful.
Frontpoint has exceptional customer service. Everybody that I ever spoke with was super friendly and really enthusiastic. I have not once had a negative customer service experience with the company. In today’s customer service market, that is really a huge plus. They were there 24/7 whenever I called for any kind of tech support or help. At one point when I decided to upgrade my system and get a couple of cameras, one of the cameras didn’t work. The reps were very apologetic and they sent a new one to me immediately. I shipped the old one back at their cost. As far as that kind of stuff goes, they’re an amazing company to work with and I would recommend them to anybody. It’s been a little more than a year now that I've had their system.
I have their app on my phone too. I have a teenage son at home. When I’m at work in the afternoon, I open up my app and I check on him. I also get a daily reminder sent to me at home or when I’m out, to make sure that I have armed my system by a certain time every day. I’m really interactive with the system. I appreciate the control and access to the system. It’s fantastic and it gives me even more security. At any time that a person has a situation like a break-in, it takes time to recover and feel safe. But almost immediately after installing the system, I had the assurance that if anyone did break in, there would be more evidence to give to the police.
Now, there’s certainly a totally different feeling. The police would be notified if anything happens when I leave the house. The possibility of someone breaking into my house and taking all my stuff right now is not on my mind anymore. Frontpoint is economical and they are trustworthy. They are the best bargain for the best security on the market today. I am really surprised that they are not the number one rated security company. At some point, they will be.
Wow, we appreciate you sharing your feedback and are glad that you are a part of the Frontpoint family! We love hearing that we are able to provide the peace mind that we strive to give and that the interactive features are making you feel more in control when you're not at home. Also, to know that our Support Team was there for during your installation lets us know we are moving in the right direction! Thank you again, and let us know if you need anything!

We moved to our house where there was ADT already installed but it wasn't active. I had done a bit of research on the internet, read various reviews and found that Frontpoint has one of the best equipment and they're great. We've been using them for nearly one year. I contacted them twice for various reasons and they were very helpful. They answered all my questions and helped me to install additional sensors. Everyone in the family is using the Frontpoint on the phone and from day one we felt really secure. Even when we travel out we can check the halls, see the status and know what's happening. Also when I'm at work I know if the kids come home on time. So we started going out more and feeling more comfortable. Overall we are very happy with the experience

I inquired online and Frontpoint has the best reviews. The installation was different because everyone else that I know have had someone come in and do it for them. Even though it wasn't too difficult to do, it wasn't as easy as I thought it was gonna be. The sensors weren't working initially, but their team walked me through it and they were really good. It's my first security system and prior to that, I lived in an apartment. I tried to live upstairs 'cause that helped me with my sense of security, but when I lived downstairs, I always had that fear. My neighborhood is pretty good, but I still would have felt some sense of a security issue. Having Frontpoint gives me peace of mind. Anyone that doesn't have a security system should have one.

I've been using Frontpoint for a year now. Their reps have been great so far and installation was easy. I use their interactive feature often and it's convenient. I've never really had an issue that required to have a security system but I got it because of the area that I'm in to prevent from having that issue ever occur. However, when the alarm goes off, they don't ever call even if it rings 30 seconds. I find that they don't follow through with that process and if someone actually did break into the house, we don't know what they'd do. I understand that it can be tedious to call every time it goes off for 30 seconds but they should, at least, call in or send an email that says they have noticed our alarm went off and that it was disarmed at 30 seconds, and ask us if everything's okay. At least I know that they are still monitoring and it's not a computer that is watching me.
We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts with us!

We've been using a Frontpoint for over a year now. My husband was the one that found Frontpoint. He liked that fact that it was mobile. We could take it when we move and it wasn’t permanent. And we’ve moved twice since we’ve had it and it’s been very easy. Every time we had an issue or like when ordering new sensors for the doors talking with their representatives was fine. We had to do that once or twice. Also, we really like the system a lot. I can’t think of anything that we don’t like about it. We’ve also used the temporary password when we have guests.

I went to Las Vegas, and my wife didn't feel comfortable with me gone, so we got Frontpoint. Our security device came in the mail, and we installed it. We made a few phone calls to Frontpoint, which is typical for somebody who has never had a system like that. In the beginning, we were shocked that we can install our Frontpoint device ourselves. The people at Frontpoint were always friendly. They've been great. When our door frames got mashed up, they sent us some extra tape and other stuff, which was good.
When we moved over to the new house, they didn't even transfer our security device. We unplugged the system and we thought that with unplugging a system and moving it to another house, they should have called us. It was strange for them not to notify us when there was a change in the system. It seems like a very simple way for a burglar to avoid a home alarm going off is just by unplugging it. If there's an alteration to a home security system, it is like something maybe going on, so I would recommend that they make a phone call with any alterations to the system. Ever since then, we haven't even turned it on. We pay the monthly fee because it's under contract, but we lost confidence in the system. I didn't want the home security system in the first place. It did the job while I was in Vegas, but now it's just a box that sits in our home.
Brian thank you for your feedback as this definitely helps us grow as a company. Peace of mind is what we aim to give all of our customers and we would like to make sure you are getting just that. Because we believe in our system and the safety it can provide, we would like to have one of our Support Supervisor reach out to you so that we can discuss your concerns in detail. I've used Frontpoint for a year and it's been great with them. My parents installed it for me and it was easy to install. The security device was plugged in and the sensors were put around the house. The system has been really easy to use, especially on my phone. It's great that I can arm and disarm the system through my phone. I was at the beach last week and my mom called to say, "I'm going to go feed the dog and the rabbit. Can you turn off your alarm?" and I did easily. One time, I accidentally set my alarm off and the reps called, and I gave them the password information.
I feel better now knowing that I can see when people go in and out of the house. If I forget to turn on the system at night, I don't have to go all the way downstairs as I can turn it on through my phone. I hear the sensors go off and I can look at my phone and see if no one's been in the house and know that the doors and windows have not been opened. I'd definitely recommend Frontpoint.

Frontpoint is more on top of ADT. When I call them, they're accommodating on figuring out over the phone if there's a problem or not while with ADT, they'll send someone out. Frontpoint is a bit more customer-service friendly. Installation was simple and easy. I was done in about 15 minutes. Some of the sensors were falling off at the doors and windows because they use a sticky tape to attach them. I called in and the solution was to send me out some new sticky tape and it works.
I use the applications to arm and disarm the device, and I look at the recording when doors and windows were opened and closed. I check the house from my phone remotely. It's one of the reasons I selected Frontpoint. That and those mobile features hurt other competitors. I just recently installed the doorbell solution and I'm fine with it. I feel like my house is more secure. For the price that I pay for the monitoring service, it's competitive if not better than some of the other solutions. I've been happy with it and I have no complaints. I've recommended Frontpoint to people. It's an easy solution to install and a good value for the customer, overall.
"No complaints" is what we like to hear!

There was a Vivint rep in the area that was just being a little overly persistent with a lot of the neighbors. And, personally, that just puts me off. So, I got online and googled “home security systems” and started reading about the different companies and their reviews. Frontpoint had the best reviews over ADT, Vivint and some of our local ones. I called Frontpoint to set it up and they were great on the phone. Installing the device was easy. We use the app because it's so much easier. My husband works on shifts, so if he has the air down because he’s sleeping coming off nights and I come home and I don’t want the house to be freezing, then I can use my app to change the thermostat before I get there. And if we’re out of town, we can turn the lights on or off, or unlock the door if somebody’s coming.

In fact, it is something that I can see myself recommending other people to get. It is a good product. The people at Frontpoint are very helpful, understanding, very clear and let me know how the product works. I had a very good interaction with them.
We were with another company, but we were trying to get something that we are able to program when we're away, so we switched to Frontpoint. The way it's set up is easier, we get feedback on our phones, and we can do a lot more on our phones with it, so it's a better product than what we had before. And also, the system is not wired toward a house where people can access or cut the wires from outside. That's very good. I love that I can access and control the system at anytime and anywhere. It gives me information right away. If any of the doors opened, it goes off right away versus counting down to 30 seconds. So that way, whenever I set it at night and one of the doors open, I know exactly which one it is.

I've been using Frontpoint for a year now. Installation was straightforward and easy. I was able to do it in 15 minutes. I called them one time because I wanted a temperature sensor and a smoke detector but that was supposed to be part of the package and I never did get it originally, so they sent us one. Their reps were extremely friendly, very professional and quick. It's a very professional company to deal with. I'm also considering their video, but I haven’t decided yet which way to go because I have it in my other home in Florida and I'm away for months. Nonetheless, I activate and deactivate the system and monitor it when I'm in Florida by my smartphone. I could see when I had electrical failure for a couple of hours one time that was recorded. It's a great system.
Since its installation, I got a big reduction in my homeowner’s insurance. It was almost enough to pay the monthly monitoring fee. State Farm wanted an affidavit, they got it and gave me a big reduction. I like that I can set the alarm and the whole house is protected. However, I'd like to see a little lower monitoring price. I pay $45 a month, but they give me a good service, so I guess I get what I pay for. And along with the monitoring, they're right on the ball. Overall, they're extremely helpful.

This is a brand new home for us and needed a cellular service for it. Prior to buying the Frontpoint system, I called and asked about the system and they were very courteous and very helpful all the way along the line. Installing the device is tremendously easy. I called them to activate the service and they were knowledgeable and friendly. They went through each unit and sensing them at a time to make sure it was working. We have had a couple of false alarms so I switched from one type of door sensing unit to another and it's worked great since then. Controlling the system through the app is a very good feature, and it's comforting to know that the system works well. It's been 14 months since we've had it and I'm very secure with the community system.
It's so great to hear that everything is working well and that you are enjoying that smartphone app!

I moved into the house, and Frontpoint is the one I went with. I did some research on the internet, and from what everybody had been saying, the reliability and the ease of use was much better than the others. The installation seemed to be easily handled. What I had a problem with was one of the receivers was sticking out about an inch from the door, and the two sensor bars for the door didn't make very good contact. They sent more padding to help with this problem, and it worked for about a month. From time to time, I'll still get it, but they told me the reason why. My router for the house interferes with the wireless system, and it doesn't get a clear contact with the receiver and the door itself, so it shows a malfunction. They told me that I needed to pick up the receiver, walk it close to the door away from my router so it would find contact to that door and show no malfunction.
I access the system through my phone 90% of the time. It's much easier because sometimes the console itself will freeze, so putting in the passcode will get down to 10 seconds left, and I'm hurrying to put the last two digits in. I have had a couple of times where I forgot that to turn the system off and I had open doors. Fire alarms went off in my kitchen because I had no exhaust fan for my stove, and Frontpoint was very quick about calling me to say, "Hey, there's a fire alarm that has gone off at the house." They're very good about that. Since the installation, I know that nobody's going to be breaking in, at least through the points that I've got connected without me being notified. It is definitely a sense of security.
Glad to hear that everything is working well and that your system is providing you with that peace of mind you deserve!

I've been using Frontpoint for about a year now. I've had to call them a few times really early in the morning and nobody was available. But when I got to talk with them on the phone, they're very friendly and wholesome. I've used their phone app but there's an extra fee so I canceled it. With Frontpoint, my sense of security seems better, and I like its fire alarm part. I really liked the fact that there was a mobile that would allow me to access both my front door locks. The home automation and being able to access the alarm remotely was important. Frontpoint's technology was a little bit more reliable than some of the other companies that presented to me. Their monthly service fee was very competitive as well. The installation was easy, except the mechanics of drilling holes and some of the doors that I had didn't allow for the door frame monitors. I had to drill into the door frame itself, but that was relatively problem-free. Their customer service is very helpful. Early on when I was trying to make the decision, they were willing to work with tailoring certain offers to me to get the monthly cost down. The upfront cost of the equipment itself was pretty much on par with everyone else that I talked to.
The only hiccup was after installation, I was told that I could order a second base unit that ended up not being compatible with the equipment that I had. My children don't have cellphones yet, so what I wanted was another base unit for them to turn on and off the alarm from upstairs because I frequently set the motion detectors on at night and they can't come downstairs until those are off. That's a little bit of a limitation in the technology.
Another drawback would be that Frontpoint doesn't wanna have to install it themselves. I had a contractor come and do it for me. Even if Frontpoint doesn't do it themselves, if they had a local service representative that they could put their clients in contact with for the installation, that would motivate people to use them. Overall it's been really great. I feel really secure with the motion detectors involved and the ease of use. If I felt like the utility of the mobile application was deteriorating, I would switch.
Joy, we really appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback and for providing us with some great suggestions! We will definitely pass along your ideas to the proper people.

When I got the Frontpoint system, it came with directions on how to install it but I had to call in and ask the Frontpoint team to help me because I couldn't figure it out where everything needed to go. They were very polite and helpful and the whole installation process went fine. As for the system, I use the app on my phone and it's very convenient, but the overall system doesn't work well as they said it does. There was one time the alarm went off by the motion sensor so I rushed home. It turned out that one of my cats had triggered it, in which Frontpoint told me that my cats were too small to trigger it. So that was very upsetting. That's why I sent the motion sensor back and they sent me the glass breaking sensors. I had a little bit of trouble with that too because each person I talked to told me a different spot on which wall to put those on but it went fine after.
I still set it when I would leave but I would still worry from then on that things wouldn't work properly after that incident. I'm not using the system anymore because I moved out of my apartment and stayed in with a family member, who has a security system. So, I'm paying for the Frontpoint system and not using it and I'm not happy that I have been locked into such a long contract.

I was looking for a home security system and found Frontpoint through my company. A great thing about Frontpoint's system is that it’s internet-based. Setting it up wasn’t difficult at all and the only problem I have sometimes is if my Wi-Fi goes down, then my system doesn’t work. We've had Frontpoint for a little more than a year now and whenever there have been a couple of erroneous calls where we triggered the alarm, we received their call promptly, so I'm happy with the system. I also use the interactive features and I always arm and disarm the system through my phone. I like it and it's good and more convenient.

There was convenience of setup with Frontpoint, and my interactions with their team have all been nice. My sense of security has increased since installation. The interactive features are completely dependent on wireless signal for the most part, but it's good. However, their equipment is less than excellent. They need to work on their hardware. There's a lot of improvements they can make for it to be more sleek, nicely used, and faster. The software is slow and buggy too. I've had sensors replaced because they just stopped working. I've had my panel replaced twice. It's an ancient kind of touchscreen that isn't smooth and fast like an iPad, and is more like a car touchscreen.

We had ADT before, and Frontpoint had the advantage because we could update the system on our own and it does not require a landline. We installed the sensors on our own which I did last year and was relatively easy. Each of the door and window sensors takes about 10 minutes. The smoke detector wasn’t terribly difficult, probably about the same as any other standard non-central alarm type smoke detector. However, I am slow and I tire easily so since there was no rush, it took me a couple of days to install. Then one of the sensors turned out to be bad and we had to return it, and Frontpoint shipped us a replacement very expeditiously. In terms of installation of the helpline, customer service was very helpful.
We had a couple of alarms during the past year and the people that I first spoke to on the phone didn’t have full access to my account. So when there was an alarm that went off and they said it was sensor number, I asked if they can look up for whom that was and they did not have the ability to do it. They did refer to customer service who took it from there and everything was fine. Ultimately, the information was available but the first contact person who called to make sure everything was okay didn’t have the ability to look up on their screen more information than they're allowed to.
We appreciate the great review Ken! We're happy to hear that our Support Team was able to assist you in the installation of the system and that they were also able to address any problems you had with your sensors. Thank you again and feel free to reach out to us if you need anything in the future!

I'm very dissatisfied with Frontpoint. The cameras don't work like they're supposed to and I'm wasting my money with them. If someone comes through the door, the alarm will go off but the cameras don't work continuously like I need them. They only come on for a couple of seconds. Frontpoint said that they will do up to two minutes of recording and then wait 30 seconds and then two more minutes. But I only get five seconds of recording and then I don't get anything for another hour. Their staff misrepresented because I don't have the 24-hour continuous coverage that I need. My store has been broken into three times and it's not on camera, and I've had two entries and my alarm never even went off. I called their customer service and their only suggestion was if I spend more money, they can upgrade my equipment, then it will be better. But I'm not spending any more money to do that. I'm done, but I can't get out of my two-year contract.

We started out with Puget Sound Energy then it became something else. It kept getting sold to various entities until it wasn't providing any service so we changed. We then checked a site on the web that screens a whole bunch of different things, like Consumer Reports, and since Frontpoint is their recommendation and their top choice for home security, we went with it. Installing the device was not too complicated and the only issue I had was with the placement of the actual monitor that goes in our home, so that it could receive signals from all of the wireless transmitters. But that wasn't that hard. It was just finding the right spot in the house. Other than that, everything else was straightforward and it was easy to do so it worked out pretty slick.
We've been using them for about a year and a half now and we use the app on our phones all the time to arm and disarm the system. It seems to work pretty well. My wife uses it more than I do because she's the one that's in and out of the house more during the day. She likes being able to do that and it makes it easier for her, as long as she remembers to disarm it before she opens the door.

We've had Frontpoint for about a year and we're satisfied with it. Sometimes we use it when we go out of town, but we don't use it a lot. They had a good price when I compared prices on the internet. I did the installation myself and put some of the strips backwards, but it would have been nicer if they had installed it. I didn't too much like having to do it myself. It was a little confusing and I'm retired so climbing up to put the sensors on the doors was a problem. Also, the little keypad has a wire hanging down and it doesn't look nice. My brother has ADT and it looks a lot more professional-looking because Frontpoint honestly looks cheap.
Even so, their team seemed to be helpful when I would call. I bought the little key chain where I can disarm it by pushing the key chain. I receive emails but not any type of notifications on my phone. One concern I have is we live about eight miles out of town and if someone was actually breaking in and the alarm went off, I don't know how long it would take for someone to get there. The installation of the system went fine. It was straightforward, simple and a DIY system. We've had the system for three years now and since having it, my wife has more sense of security especially that I'm not at home every night. I like the remote access better than having it at home. Frontpoint had good reviews online and I felt really secure about its history, how it's operated, and what they had to say about it. The device was really easy to install and anybody could do it. I just put it up on the doors and called them up, and then a nice guy talked me through it. I had to walk through each door, then they would set it, and then it turns on real quick. Nobody comes to the house and we don't have to wire anything. Also, they were really patient. I even drilled them with about 15 questions and they passed all of them. They made sure that I had an answer to every question I had. I was leery but I felt fully secure with them. In fact, it didn't feel like they were salesmen at all. They weren't selling it. They were just answering questions.
We've been with them for about a year now and for $40 a month, it's nice knowing that it gives anyone a limited time when that sound goes off and they're gonna get them. It doesn't do much unless we get broken into, but we feel a little bit safer with it. It's easy to push the code and they'll notify me and my wife once the alarm does go off. At first, it was intimidating when I got the package and they said that the system was self-installed. But then, when I read through everything and got on the phone with the agent, it was easy-breezy and not hard at all. They had someone available to stay on the phone with me while I installed the system, to make sure that I felt comfortable and that everything was all set up properly. So, it was a great experience.
I'm very comfortable with feeling more secure now. If someone were to enter and they weren't supposed to, I would hear the beep of the alarm. I use the interactive features all the time, such as arming or disarming the system through my computer or phone. That's exactly what I do. It's easy and really good. I like them better than ADP. Frontpoint's system is cellular so I don’t have to worry about how I'm pulling wires. I also like the fact that I have the camera inside. I like the way it arms nothing like ADPs, and that their all around service is better. Their team has always been good and helpful, and they're on top when something happens. They sent me a panic button, and if I hit that button, police will come within three minutes. That’s a good response time. Also, they're prompt in everything they do. I was told that everything was coming on a certain day and it did. As soon as I got it I called customer service and they walked me through the setup. I spoke to different gentlemen and they all were very helpful and knowledgeable. They helped me pick the number of devices that I needed and I got two motion detectors and three door monitors and it was 1, 2, 3 after that.
I like the phone app and that's one of the reasons why I use the system. That’s one of the better features about the service. If I leave my house quickly, by the time I get a half a mile away and realized that I didn’t turn it on, I can turn it on with my phone. I don’t have to go back. I'm very secure and I feel good about it. I just have one issue. I have a two-floor house and my device is downstairs. When I walk in with the key, no problem. But when I put it on and I put motions on also and I happen to walk downstairs from the bedroom, the alarm goes off. But if my wife walks down from the bedroom and I stay upstairs, I don’t notice the sound. The alarm could be louder or if it has a Bluetooth device speaker that I can put somewhere else in the house. Right now, up on the third floor if the alarm is tripped, I wouldn’t know it.

We've been using Frontpoint for a year now. Installation has been fine although I’ve had a little trouble at the beginning when I installed the system. I wasn’t quite able to understand so I called their reps and they walked me through on how to install. And then, a couple of months later, the system starts freezing and it wasn’t getting connected. I called them again and they helped me to restart it, reboot it and get it to work. And then, a couple of months later, I needed more door sensors and they were able to provide me with a special buy-one-get-one free special! So, every time that I have a concern or I need help with understanding the system more, they’re always there. The most I have to wait on hold was a minute or two to get someone to talk to me but other than that, it has been a good experience.
I have the app on my phone and I like it because if I have a friend staying over at my house, I just tell them to close the door and I will activate the system from my phone. I don’t have to give them my password. So, I do like the fact that I am able to use the app to activate and deactivate. I liked everything. I like their customer service because they always come to my aid, helping me in understanding my situation. Everything, thus far, has been fine. It’s been a great year and I know that if I need to operate or add anything else, they’ll be right there to assist me.

We moved from Arizona and I talked to people and they explained why they thought Frontpoint was number one. I was convinced enough to buy it. We moved in and it took us about six months to get it set up. Frontpoint staff worked very diligently to try to get me to activate it. They were good at reminding me and they talked to me on the phone when I went to set it up which was really easy. It was plug and play. That was a great service. Their people were all very nice, very professional and they answered my questions.
We've been with Frontpoint for about a year now but we really don't turn it on since we have kids that are constantly in and out at different hours. We also have three cats that are jumping and chasing each other all around and I'm scared they are going to set it off. I'm glad we have it, though, and if we ever want to use it, we certainly can. The only time we'd really use it is if somebody's here alone at night or we go away for the weekend. All in all, I like Frontpoint.

We've been using Frontpoint for about two years. My interactions with their reps are short and sweet and they speak English really well. It's just like talking to a regular person. It was fast and not a lot of selling me on anything. They got to the point and got it done. It was awesome. I did the installation myself, and it was fast, easy, and simple. We arm and disarm the system from our phone, but I haven't really been using it. I have a bunch of doors now where I used to only have two, and they were going to charge me $60 per door. I have 10 doors, and it seemed like too much money, so I don't really arm it that much anymore. I use it more for keeping my kids in the house.

I found consumer ratings and positive feedback on Frontpoint online so I went with them. Their equipment is easy to use and having it makes me feel safer. All of the sensors were easy to install and the customer service people have been outstanding. They were very helpful and patient. On the day that we activated the system we were on the phone for 45 minutes to an hour with the customer service and he explained every detail about using the touch screen control panel and response protocol. Also, sometimes I call the customer service and I have silly questions, but they never seemed frustrated or made me feel I shouldn’t have called.
We've had difficulty with our glass break sensors but it was more related to the design of our house and not Frontpoint's equipment. When I went through the design with the Frontpoint salesman, we talked about what type of sensor would be best for each of our rooms but when we received the sensors and started putting them, in the glass break sensors whose design we have talked about no longer fit. Our rooms are very large so the glass break sensors were out of range, and we have some nooks and crannies and the sound waves usually travel in one direction so we have areas in our house that are not protected by the glass break sensors. The customer service colleague was very hopeful and explained everything and offered us suggestions. We had to buy additional equipment to cover the rest of the rooms.
We use the phone app, and it's one of the reasons we wanted Frontpoint. We were not going to buy a security system that didn’t have any app. I now feel more secure, especially at night, since we live in an area that’s dark at night and we don’t have outdoor floodlights so our backyard is very dark and it's very easy to just hop the fence and get back there. Also, all of the stickers and the signage that they sent us to put for the yard were a big plus. They helped a lot. I would recommend them.
It's great to hear that your system is making you feel safer and that our Support Team was able to get you up and running!

One of my friends referred me to Frontpoint. Installing the device was really easy - it was just pretty much plug and play and it didn’t take very long. I talk to them every time my alarm goes off and they're friendly. The device is pretty great, but lately, there's been a couple times where I've tried to turn the alarm off and it'll freeze. I have talked to somebody about this and they said they were gonna have somebody from tech support call me. I've also tried to hook the device up to my phone before but I wasn’t really successful. I didn’t try that hard though.

I had ADT before as my home security provider. It's more expensive and it was hard-wired so I couldn't use my phone to access it. I did my research and found Frontpoint and I like it better. I can use my phone to turn my alarm on and off. The security device is easy to install because I have one in there before. So I simply took the old ones off and put the new ones on.
Their people pretty nice and were very helpful. I've set my alarm off several times and not knowing I did that, because I take the dog outside and forgot to have such alarm. They come in and they call me if I don't call them fast enough, so I appreciate that. If I get out of the house and I forget to turn the alarm on, all I have to do is go to my phone and look to see that I had turned it on. If I hadn't, I could turn it on from anywhere, so that's pretty awesome.
I have this kind of job that people are not always happy with me, so having Frontpoint's device installed, I feel a lot more secure having a system protecting my property when I'm not home and when I am home. I also like that they have a flexible program that you can add on to it or put some more things in there if you wanted to later on. Their system is easy to use and reliable.
You deserve to feel great about your system! Thanks for sharing your story and always remember that we are just a phone call away if you ever need anything going forward.

The reps have been really pleasant. They've been really good so far. Installation was pretty simple. I basically read the instructions and put things where they go, and made a phone call. I've used the app, and it's convenient and works well. If we're away for extended periods, it's nice to know that things are okay. You can check in and see if any sensors are armed. That's the kicker with the system we use. Part of the package that they sent was motion detectors. And in my experience, they didn't explain to me initially that motion detectors do not work when you're home. They're bypassed obviously because you have to walk around. So, when I'm away, it's great. But when I'm home, I would've picked different features if I could do it again. I'd get different sensors than what they suggested.
They do a good job with customer service and they really work hard to get you as a customer. But one thing that they can improve on is that they emphasize budget and will probably gonna give you a package that fits a budget and that helps you spend not too much. But what that often does is it gives you a sense of security but like in my case, I wouldn't have picked a few of the things that they suggested that I get because they just don't fit my lifestyle.
They need to ensure that cost isn't the only factor when they're trying to bring a customer in. I understand that cost is a factor for some people. But if I'm looking for security, I want it to work well and be effective. I don't wanna find out that I have holes and gaps that could've been addressed by simply adding $100 or $200 to the initial package. I would rather spend a little bit more and I'll even spend right versus to find out a month later that what I thought was in place isn't actually in place. So, budget works but meet the customer's needs first and then Frontpoint should see how they can adjust cost to fit within those needs.

My Frontpoint system isn't complete because we missed a couple of windows when we did the install. I added some extra sensors, but haven't had them added to the system. We used Vector in our old residence which was connected to our phone while Frontpoint is connected wireless. The main difference was that Vector came to the house and did the install. That's the only frustrating thing about Frontpoint. It is up to us to figure out what we should do and then order all the different pieces. They should include the cost of the system within everything else because it was really all apart and the pieces are expensive.
We also had ADT already installed in the house and we should've gone with them. It's a big house with a lot of windows and doors so it got very expensive to get it started up with Frontpoint. Aside from that, Frontpoint doesn't really stand behind the product. When something goes wrong, we have to replace it out of pocket. We have to look after it and we're responsible for repairing it. We had a couple sensors that wasn't installed correctly. We couldn't figure the problem out and we had a bad sensor, so the system doesn't work.
A lot of the other systems is easier to keep up and running. When we had Vector, they would come out if something went wrong with the battery. With Frontpoint, we'd just be talking to someone over the phone if the sensors are not working and I've never seen a person who is willing to come out to the house and do it. Then they nickel and dime us to death and charge us for every single thing, so it would also be nice if they had someone come to the house, do a survey and recommend what we really need, but they told me they don't do that.
In terms of the monitoring and the customer service, Frontpoint was excellent. We accidentally set the alarm off once. We had a power outage and then forgot that we had armed it, so it went off when we went outside and they called right away. I was impressed because they had a very quick response if there's a problem. I got the security system because I didn't want my house to burn and for my dogs, and we've had them for a little less than a year. Overall, they're a really good company. I picked them because I did read all the reviews, but they can always make some improvements.

I went online looking at what I thought may be reasonable programs that could fit my needs, and I felt that Frontpoint answered my questions well on their website. They were very good in working with me. I did the installation myself, and I had some questions. I wasn't sure how to do it, and they stuck with me, and were very patient. We had a couple of sensors that needed some tweaking, and they sent me some more material very quickly overnight. It was very efficient.
However, I have tried the interactive features, and what messes me up with it is getting home security where it will play on my phone and I have access to my camera and everything, as that's becoming pretty mainstream now, and is considered a part of the package deal. I’d like to have it where it comes on my phone, but in order for me to get it on my phone and computer, I have to pay, and it's not a small amount. With Frontpoint, I thought it was part of the package deal but it wasn't, and they kept adding to it. Although they were really nice about it and gave me a couple of months, the bottom line is it's really out of price range compared to other ones.
There's another company that’s very comparable to Frontpoint. They include everything, and have no contracts. The contract didn't really bother me that much. Of course, they get me and hold me for three years, and I paid upfront, spending $700 to get the equipment. However, it does bother me that I can’t get the things that we tweak up because everything is added cost. I don't mind paying for the equipment. It's all filtered into my home box, in my main central station there, but I don't think they're very fair with pricing.
The advertisement on the website made it appear that I get all these features as part of the monthly thing, and I thought that was great, but they kept adding more and more to it, and it's really a little steep. If they're not going to be competitive in three years, and I don't have this contract in two years, I'll be going to another system because it's cheaper, and I get the same equipment and support that I get now.
One other thing is that they only go by automatic withdrawal of money from my account. I know it's a fairly young company, so I have respect for that, but they're going to have to get themselves to a point where they can send a monthly billing because people like to have a receipt. Email is fine, but they won't do it by email, and I was concerned because I don't check my bank statement and what monies come out. I would recommend the company if they would be more competitive price-wise, and if they get their act together a little bit more in their bookkeeping. That little bit seems like a lot, but to John Q public, we'd like to see when our money is taken out of our account rather than on a bank statement. All they have to do is provide a printable receipt for if needed.
On another note, I have no negatives about the service and the quality of people they have working for them. I never set the alarm off without Frontpoint being here and fixing it really quick. They've had to call me about four or five times in the last year until last week. I put the groceries down and somebody came in my driveway. When I was out there talking to him, the alarm went off and I failed to respond quickly. I forgot to turn it off, and the police were here in seconds. They're sweet as they can be, and the times I've had to call them because I set the alarm off by accident, they have been very gracious and professional in communicating with me. I have no complaints about the service. I have more accolades than anything, and the equipment works wonderfully. Apart from improvement needed in pricing competitiveness, I'm very satisfied. Frontpoint has great service and dependability.
Paul thank you for your review! Thank you for sharing your experience as this will definitely help us grow as a company!

I've used Frontpoint for about a year and two months. It was great installing the security device. It's also been real good with the team at Frontpoint. The phone technical people are okay and fine. But it's touch and go with Frontpoint, although I thought they would do good. We had a break-in at the house and I wasn't called. I'm having a problem trying to get service. It's either they don't have people they can send out to look at the problem, or they don't want to send them out.
I've called a couple of times to try to get them to work on one of the contacts that's not working properly. I tried to explain to the guy I talked with that the contact, that little strip thing, may not be working because the door is kicked in. He claims it's not close enough. But when I moved it, it didn't work then either. Frontpoint sent me a new unit but that didn't fix the problem. I still have a contact that's not working, and I don't feel like my home is totally secure because of that. Furthermore, I'm a little upset that they blew me off. When my year is up in about nine months, I'll not get them again.

The installation of the Frontpoint device was fairly straightforward. The instructions were quite self-explanatory. I had a little trouble with some of the sensors, and I had to have some of them switched out. I've also had some consistent problems with the actual main unit. It has frozen in the past like during unlocking or disarming the system, which has always been a little concerning because I didn’t do anything. If there had been someone coming in and it had been an unauthorized person, it wouldn't have done anything. Then there are other times like it’s laggy. Their team told me that’s just part of how it works and there's sometimes a little bit of a lag.
Being able to control the Frontpoint system certainly facilitates the process, but it should be much easier to integrate it with other things. A lot of my devices are Apple-based and I thought it would be quite easy to integrate everything, but it's not. If there was something else that integrated well, I'd probably switch to that. I'm not the most happy with it but it's working for now.

Frontpoint’s my first home security system. I like it and I never had any problems with it. Their reps have always been friendly and nice. Installing it was pretty simple. Like they said, I just peeled the stickers off and put them on the window. The only problem is if there's a gap between the door frame and the door, it can say that the door’s open when it's really not. But if the door and the door frame are real tight, the sensors work perfectly. I got it because I was out of town and needed my fiancée to feel a little bit more safe. We've since moved in a pretty much nice area and were able to take it with us when we did so that was nice. They sent me the stickers for the back of the sensors for free.

I set it up at the house by myself and it was fantastic from that point on. All of the other providers were basically hard-wired systems and were a pain in the neck to deal with. But with Frontpoint, I just plug it into the wall and away it goes.
It's great that I can use my cellphone to arm it before I leave and disarm it just before I pull in. Or if I have somebody that wanted to stay in the cabin and I'm not going to be there, I can go ahead and disarm it and they can call me when they get ready to leave and I can arm it back up. It's very convenient. The only thing that I would ask for is a visual monitor but I don't think there's a way I'd get it on the property because I don't have internet to it. Besides that, everything works great. Anytime I've had to call them for any advice or technical support, everybody there has been really friendly. I would definitely recommend Frontpoint to anybody.

We've been broken into while we're asleep. It was somebody in our circle because somebody really directed at me. They busted in the backdoor. They took my purse, the title to my car, and they took a big thing of change. But they didn’t tear the house up. We have computers and a 70-inch TV and they didn’t take any of that. Bobby looked Frontpoint up and they were listed in the top four so we got them.
Their sales guy has been great and very helpful. Our screen froze up one time and then he told me how to reset it. It updated itself and then we've not had any more problems with that. Plus, the installation was great. The only drawback is that the device is not loud enough. I already feel uncomfortable in my home when someone has broken in when I’ve been here. Sometimes I work at night and wonder if Bobby is not going to be able to hear it. The thieves would be in there on him before he would know it because he can't hear it.
Also, I set the alarm off more than anything. I will forget that it's on and then I'll go out the basement, and it’ll set off. And the thing of it is my husband can't hear it in the bedroom. And when I'm downstairs and go out, I don’t hear it as well. It needs to be bells and whistles where the people next door hear it. But we have gotten two other things to put in because one of the sales guys told us that we could get these off of the computer, which we did, and now we have to put them in. So there's one thing in the bedroom and one in the basement. Overall, everybody I've talked to has been wonderful.

Their door sensors are junky and a little chintzy. Sometimes they pop off when you open and close the door. They need to be improved in terms of their adhesion to the materials, as well as the quality so that they don't come apart when the door is opened, closed or slammed. I've had that with a couple of glass break sensors and it was the adhesion of the individual products to whatever surface you put them onto has been inadequate. We also have a garage sensor that is supposed to connect to the back of the garage. It has the sticky tape and it's fallen off a bunch of times, and I've had to get my own different adhesion methods to get it to stick.
One time, there were a couple of pieces that were missing. I called their customer service and they immediately replaced them. The team members were efficient, professional, courteous, comprehensive, and complete. They responded quickly to address my concerns and essentially shipped me out a new replacement part. I thought they did a good job, but they replaced it with the same item that was not that highest quality piece.
I don't feel more secure having the Frontpoint system than I did without it. I had a false alarm with the fire department. One of my friends came over and I thought she was pressing the buttons and turned on the "Call the fire department." They came over pretty quick, so that was good. But then, on the security side, I don't feel like I'm getting any quicker reaction time from the police coming in and there have been a couple of false alarms.
I don't know how much the police really pay attention to it. It could be the interaction with Chicago police department that is not that great, or maybe the police department is too busy to respond to these things. If I get an alert, I look at my nest camera to make sure the property hasn't been broken into. And then, I would call the police or 911. I almost view the Frontpoint thing as just having an alert system, so that I can take my own steps. Their interactive feature works pretty good too from my phone or a computer terminal.
Our customer's satisfaction is one of our top priorities here at Frontpoint which is why we're going to have one of our Support Supervisors reach out to you shortly to address all of your concerns. Thank you for giving us your feedback and we look forward to speaking with you soon!

I have Frontpoint for a year now. I chose them over other because their customer service was rated high by many reviewers and because of the cost and it being wireless. It was easy installing the device and it's convenient that you could arm and disarm the system using the phone. Their team members have all been really helpful. I was told that the price included the smoke detector, and when it came it wasn't included. I called back and then he said, "No, that's not included in the price." But I know it was included. The guy put me on hold for five minutes and came back and he resolved the issue fairly quickly. I have peace of mind that my home is secure since I had their device. I've never have thought twice paying their monthly fee because of that peace of mind.

I had somebody on the phone that was available to talk me through it but I was done before he was done explaining how to do it. I never had any situations that they couldn’t fix. I’ve had them call a few times because the alarm’s gone off by mistake and they’re always right on the ball. We use their interactive features every day and it couldn't be any easier.

If I say I want to do it away, even if it’s set for away, the phone shows stay. Even though I know better and it’s set right, it’s just not correct on the app. I haven’t taken the time to call customer service about it but I know how to work it.

I was doing some research online about getting the best security out there. I read about Frontpoint and decided to go with it. Setting up the device was very simple and user-friendly. Just some tape here and there and I was done, nothing difficult. I've had some issues with one of the sensors that they sent, but they replaced it. It went through troubleshooting over the phone three times, it didn't work, and then they resent that sensor. The rep was very friendly and they guided me pretty well through the process. I've called several times, and so far I like them. We mostly use the arming and disarming app when we are lying in bed so we don't have to get up again and activate the alarm. Frontpoint's prices were competitive and they seemed to have good reviews. All of the different components of the system were straightforward to put on. I have them for a little over a year and I use the app on my phone all the time. It's useful and a good feature to have. If I'm upstairs in my house and I want to arm the system, I don't have to go downstairs and punch in the code. I can just do it on my phone and that's handy. Having a security system made me feel a little bit more secure that when I'm not home and if someone were to break into my house, the alarm would go off and it would notify me. I also sleep a little better at night. I've been pretty satisfied with the overall experience.

It's a little bit easier to get a hold of somebody from Frontpoint than with my old security service provider. The device was super easy to install which took a few minutes. The reps are friendly, accommodating and answer the phone right away. I like that I'm not getting bounced around from department to department. They're always asking at the end of the call if there's something else they can help me with, that I may not have called for that reason and they tell me about new products and services. I live in a very secure building but it's a nice peace of mind to have added level of security.
The system works great except I just got back from vacation and I wasn't able to arm it when I was away because I lost power for whatever reason and I only got an email from them. If somebody broke into my house, unplugged the unit and it didn't have any power, getting an email from them isn't going to do a whole lot. If I got a phone call, I would have known what the problem was. So I got back 10 days later and I realized that one of the outlets went bad and I lost power, but I didn't know because I didn't read the email. Otherwise, everything has been absolutely terrific. I know it's not their problem I lost power. I've been extremely happy with their service and I have no plans to change.

We did have one issue when the sticky pad didn't stick to the signings and they took care of it and resent them overnight to us. It's been a phenomenal experience. We also had the interactive feature for the first couple of months, but we backed out from that package to the lower the cost since we didn't need it. So I've made a couple of phone calls and since my system was compatible with Frontpoint's stuff and I didn't have to buy much, I used them. Compared to my old provider, they are so advanced and have everything to get everything working. What they had to offer was beyond the capabilities of my old company. Also, their salesperson seemed the friendliest, wasn't pushy or jackass like and gave me the best offer. It's definitely more expensive but it seemed like the best service.
The device was very easy to install and because my old system was compatible, all the sensors were installed and I just had to program them into the new thing. The Frontpoint reps didn't treat me like a moron. They realized I knew how to do it so they showed me how to do it with their system. It was a very good experience. The installation was easy which I like, and arming the system from our tablets and our phones is so convenient because there are times when we’re always rushing out the house and we're not sure if somebody set the alarm. I like having to do that rather than running back in the house, pressing the button and then running back out. Also, now that we’ve got the signs and the window decals up, I feel safer that maybe somebody will have second thoughts about coming in our house.
I’ve not received any bad customer service and that’s number one with me. I get bad customer service, I’m done, I’m finished. The service is great. The only thing that really annoyed me is they’ll say, “Oh, well, we didn’t get a payment this month.” But the money’s still sitting there. Have you attempted to get it before you called me? Also, with my previous security system if there was a false alarm I’d get a quick call asking me if everything's okay. But I’ve never ever got that with Frontpoint. The old one is cheaper too. I took a little bit longer than I expected in terms of the whole set up when installing the Frontpoint security device. But it was nice and nobody had to come drill holes in the wall or anything like that. I could do it myself. Also, I was able to contact them when I've had some technical difficulties. And when the alarm had gone off and I wasn't living in the house yet, it was helpful to have someone call me right away about it. Everybody seemed polite and overall, it's been a good customer service experience for me.
I personally arm and disarm the system with my cellphone and I use that all the time. I also get a text message if I haven't put my alarm on by 10:00 at night or if a window is open that has an alarm on it. I like it but hopefully I don't ever lose my phone or no one hacks into it. The other thing is when sometimes a message goes wrong and I'm not able to confirm exactly what went wrong. There was one time I had to leave where I was and go home because I thought a window had been opened. It was reading as though it wasn't armed or it was opened, however, it turned out to be nothing. Sometimes that can be challenging because if I'm not at home and no one can get home then there's a worry of wondering what's going on there. Sometimes it's a little too much information.
Moreover, I don't have it set up on every single window so technically I still feel vulnerable. But I feel better especially if I'm going to be away for an extended period of time. I feel more secure that if something happens there's a mechanism for me to find out about it. However, I found that their sensors are very sensitive to things being in the way so I've had to get several of them replaced. They sent me out longer range sensors but it took some going back and forth and figuring it out. Then a couple of them have fallen apart or we have a keychain one that fell apart. So they're not as high quality as I would hope. And for people who have bigger houses, it could be harder to get it to work unless you chat them to send you the long range sensors. That wasn't clear at the beginning and I had no idea about that but they sent them to me for free. It was a bit of a hassle but they've been pretty helpful through it all.

This is frustrating when we're out of town and there's nothing much that I can do. Working with the Frontpoint people has been all good, I've never had to wait and they're really good in technical support. I’m happy with our Frontpoint device. I had some doors that were too thick and they figured that out pretty quick. They sent me some extra pads to make the connection, we did all over again and it worked fine. I've been using them for about a year now and they're a terrific company.

I've used Frontpoint's home security service for about a year now. It was easy enough to install our own security device, but the glass breaks don't stay stuck on the walls. They don't have any way to mount them other than with a sticky tape, so they would have to redesign the whole thing. Also, the interactive part of the system makes me uncomfortable. I haven't had a lot of interactions with their team but they've been fine and friendly.

I've had a security system before, way back with ADT, and it didn't work out at all with them. Then I decided to change to some other home security provider. I've been using Frontpoint for about a year, and it's been good and uneventful with them. They've provided good service. It was a little bit tricky in the beginning when I was installing the security device but I called up and they gave me instructions so that I was able to do it. It's been working fine ever since.

We have Frontpoint in our business as well as in our home. Installation was really easy in our business but at home, we had one sensor that didn't work. We experimented trying to get it to work and when we realized there must be something wrong, we called them right away and they took care of it fast. As soon as we mailed it back to them, they sent a replacement right out to us. Other than that, it was a piece of cake installing the system and the replacement works fine now. We're also happy with the customer service. They're very friendly and took care of the problem right away. We use the app and the computer often to control the system and I like it a lot especially when we're out and unsure if the alarm is turned on or not. So we check the app and use it to set up the alarm.
The only one thing and this is just a minor thing: I wish we have both our home system and our business system under one email address. Because what happens is when I want to use the app, I have to log out of our home system and then log back in to check our business. I remember originally when we set up the home setup. I asked them if we could set up this system on the other account so that I don't have to log in twice. They told me that there was a reason why we had a different account. But that's a minor thing, not a big deal to us. We actually recommended them to my parents and they have a Frontpoint system now too.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us Mark! We are so glad to hear that it was a "peice of cake" to install your system. I had to call the customer service several times complaining about the system because it wasn't arming. Also, the sensors that they sent me were like a newer version and a lot of it didn't work. They don't even stick on so I have to tape them. I'm pretty busy so I don't have time to send the broken ones back and so they just charged me for it. But their customer service team were pretty good and were always trying to fix the problem. Their interactive features were pretty nice too.

My Frontpoint comes with the panel and logging online. Once I downloaded the software, it was very easy. However, I wish they included the video camera with the package. I could buy it separately, but I would've liked to buy something with everything. I have to keep figuring out what to get and I would call in for additional items. But they were very friendly and helped me out. They even provided me with discounts on some.
There's one thing I bought that I kind of hate and that's the window sensor. It's heavy, and they only gave me sticky stuff to put on the back to hang it up. It fell a couple of times. When we weren't home on New Year's Eve, we had to leave the party to come home because our alarm went off because that sensor fell. I wasted one of my alarms because I had to dispatch a police because I didn't know what caused the alarm. It also fell once while we were sleeping. I called, and they just gave me more sticky stuff to put on it. That's all they keep on sending me. The sensor is so big and bulky, it keeps falling. I don't like it. Now I have to build a shelf and put it on there so it will stay up without falling. But their team was very fast to respond, friendly and it's been a pleasant experience.

Frontpoint has very good customer service and they always answer their phones in a timely manner. The system works and I have no problem with the interactive features. But I made the wrong decision by choosing it for my business because I think the sensors are not designed for commercial use. It has brought nothing but headache for me. Everything worked when I first installed it but it only lasted about a month or two. Then either the sensors stop communicating or the reception is bad or something else happens. Every time I speak with them, they say they're going to send me a new sensor. However, when I put the new sensor in, it works for a while then the same thing happens over again.
The product is also a little cheap. I want to try it in my house so I could give a positive review on it but I have not had good experience with this alarm for the past year. They have a good rating on the internet but I wouldn't recommend it to a business. I'm not sure I'm going to recommend it to a home either because I have not had any success with it.

It came to a point where I had to call in like a new customer to finally get a hold of somebody, which was disappointing. Then, they sent the wrong panel out of the gate, and one of the sensors didn't work. It took some time to replace, but other than that, it was okay. One of our favorite features is controlling the system from anywhere. We do that all the time. One other thing I would say is that there's no easy way to go online and buy more equipment. I had a local security provider before but the system they had originally installed in the house was really obsolete so I redid the whole thing and got some surveillance cameras going from Frontpoint. I got lots of useful advice from people in their organization about how to set the system up. Their reps are also very helpful when they're available and I feel safe all those times when I'm using the system. However, in my most recent vacation, I had some trouble getting the network to stay on. The surveillance cameras and the whole system depended on wifi, but I worked out something with my provider which I thought was stable enough.
I then called to get my cameras online because every time they put in a new modem, I have to redo the whole process. But I was told they didn't provide the services on the weekend anymore. If that was a new protocol, it amounts to a reduction in the service that I originally had when I got the plan. I then got a call on Sunday from someone because I told them that this is for an emergency to work on the cameras. But by that time, I was already on the road. So in my whole vacation time that lasted over two weeks, I did not have a security system. I wasn't happy about that.
Another issue is we only need it when we leave to go on vacation and no one is in the house. That doesn't happen very often - twice a year the most. So I pay $50 a month for a service I'm not using except when I go on vacation. When I think about the amount of money I pay, it's extravagant for that limited coverage I'm requiring. I'm paying about $600 for the privilege of only three or three and a half weeks of coverage a year. I hope there's a plan I can go on with Frontpoint to reflect the fact that I don't use the system routinely.

I've had 100% positive service from Frontpoint. The company offered service - unlike ADT which I've used in the past. Frontpoint was all over me in selling the security device which pissed me off, but if a person needs one, it would be from them. Installing the Frontpoint system was as easy as it can be. Their app works good 99% of the time and the only complaint I have is that sometimes, it takes them a long time to tell me that I haven't armed my system. When I was checking my email, I got an email from them talking about service and I listed three things in that email that were problematic for me. Then just seven minutes later, I already got a call from Frontpoint who said they can take care of those things. Over a period of two weeks, they took care of two of them and over a period of four, they took care of the third. The Frontpoint guys are amazing and since the device was installed, I've had peace of mind.

I’ve had to set up my numerous sensors and when a couple of them weren’t working, customer service walked me through the whole thing. They were very professional, knowledgeable, and customer service-oriented. When they didn’t know what to do, they didn’t hesitate to just replace the whole thing. I love that because instead of leaving me in limbo, they took care of it regardless.
I use the interactive features religiously and I love it. I never use the keypad. Having Frontpoint gave me peace of mind. I’m able to go and take a weekend without sending someone to the house at night. I can trust the system. So far, there hasn’t been any faulty set-offs. It’s been working as designed flawlessly and effortlessly. Best thing I could’ve ever invested in.
However, my brother-in-law lives about three houses away from me so I get to see his alarm system, Monitronics, and how it works. The simplicity of the way they set it up makes me feel like I should’ve gone with it because upfront, I spent like $400 to buy all the equipment while he didn’t have to spend any money. They just fronted him the equipment. He pays $48, I pay $45. We have the same features but he’s got even more features on his side than I do. And every time I get a new sensor, I have to pay for it. So when my two years come up, I definitely won’t be renewing with Frontpoint. If I want more sensors or less, it’s all the same price with Monitronics.
Frontpoint's service is great but the price is not. Also, the billing is inconsistent. Sometimes, I get billed on the 25th of every month and sometimes I won’t even get billed. Then I’ll get billed twice in the same month the following month. It has happened about two or three times. I have automatic payment so if they don’t take it out, I’m not concerned about it.
A lot of other home security companies came around and asked me why I went with Frontpoint. I told them I checked out who the best was and Frontpoint was rated really high. The other companies told me that Frontpoint pays for themselves to be rated number one. I started reading and saw that people can pay to have high ratings and hit the Google number one search spot. I did a little bit of research and sure enough, Frontpoint came out number one on everything. I don’t know if that’s because of money or if they are really number one, but it kind of started to diminish the reputation that they have for me.

I like the idea of the ease and comfort of arming and disarming the system from my phone. Ordered equipments to start a new service and paid 200$ upfront cost with $100 rebate after 30-day trial period is complete. When I received the shipment, some equipments were missing. Got everything after I called them 2nd time. The control panel had loose wires and had to fix them myself. After setting up equipments, called them to activate. Took two hours to activate on the phone as there was a faulty glass break sensor. The tech insisted me to fix the sensor rather than offering to replace it. Finally I fixed it myself and the system was activated after being on the phone for 2 hours. The customer service supervisor offered me few equipments for free for the hassle I went through.
Now, after 30-day trial, they are not willing to refund 100$ rebate as a part of the deal they agreed to in a written email. They are saying they have given me more equipments and they just can't return 100$. Just frustrating that they are completely dishonest and playing gimmicks upfront to attract customers. Now I am in the process of cancelling their service and returning their equipments. Be careful dealing with Frontpoint and I would totally avoid them.

We just moved to this house and we got Frontpoint but in my prior house we had ADT. I like Frontpoint better because it's all wireless, you can do a lot of the set up yourself and their customer service has always been very responsive. Installing it was pretty easy. Most of the devices came up without an issue. I did have one problem with a garage door sensor and I did call for support on that and that was helpful.
Both my wife and I utilize the phone app. My only issue with the phone app is that some of the features that are easy to get to on a web interface are a little harder to get to on the app because they're a little bit more buried. For example, we've got our air conditioning and heating on schedule and it's easier to do that on the website than it is on the app. There's one thing however that I find a little frustrating about the website. I was trying to find some additional equipment and how to order that and it's not super easy from the website to figure out the process. I get kind of bounced around a lot. Ultimately, I discovered that I had to call in order to add more equipment but it's hard to find that information on the website.

We've used Frontpoint for less than a year and I like a lot being with them. I got on the website and looked for the best security service provider and Frontpoint was Number 1. About 15 or 16 years ago, we used ADT and that security system wasn't computerized than like it is now.
We had to put up the security device ourselves and that part was easy. Then we had to try to make the little sticky thing match up with the little monitors on the door. One of the monitors fell off, so I bought some more, put the monitor back up there, and it stayed. Then, one time, the glass sensor fell and I didn't know that it fell. My phone rang and I looked at the number but didn't recognize it so I hung up. I was then upstairs and heard a noise then went downstairs where the alarm system was and saw that the alarm had gone off. I had my phone on me and the Frontpoint guys called back and I told them that the sensor fell so I put it back. The rep asked if I was okay and I said yes. That's when I told myself I needed to get something upstairs so I can readily hear the alarm from there.
Whenever I've had to deal with the customer service team, they've been very fine. We've only had one mishap where my daughter couldn't remember the security password and this freaked her out because it was the first time that the alarm went off on her. They needed to have the password, and I had told my daughter to write it down and she did but the alarm was going off super-loud, so she was caught off guard and couldn't think. She told them to call me and they told her that they didn't have my number although I know that they have it. She felt like the rep was giving her an attitude. I told my daughter that I'd take care of the matter. So, I called Frontpoint and told the rep what had happened and that my daughter didn't like the way she'd been spoken to and the rep said she'd take care of it. I called and told them that they have my number because they've called me before.
I usually arm and disarm the system from my phone and I like being able to do that. But I was having a problem in that, if I armed the security system when I was leaving, then got in my car and shut the garage door, then the system would send off the alarm, and I'd have to go back home. So, I told my daughter to not turn the alarm on until after the garage door has shut, and that's what we've started doing. Also, I'll have to see if Frontpoint has a feature where we can see if somebody's at the front door. I can look out and won't open the door if I don't know the person at the door though my daughter might just open the door.
As long as I remember to turn on the security system, I have peace of mind that my home is secure. My daughter told me that people are breaking into houses if they don't have the door knob that has the bump in it. But I have the little sensor up in the front door, so if intruders break the door to get in, the alarm's going to go off, so I'm not really worried about that.

We had a wired system ADT system before and the sensors kept going bad. We didn't want it anymore. I found Frontpoint on my Facebook feed. It was easy to install. I didn't know where to put the motion detectors, but we figured it out. We have one camera and I wish there was a wireless camera, but it was limited to where we can put it because we have to plug it in. It would've been better if it was wireless and had some long lasting battery. That's the only problem. We like to move our camera around. Also, I have a question on whether there are any other fingerprint touch pad fob my wife (who doesn't have an iPhone) could use like the one I have on my iPhone which enables me to manage the in and outs, arming, disarming with my phone. But otherwise, generally, it works as advertised.
A couple of times we'd forgotten when we had the system armed. We opened the door and got the call from the team at Frontpoint. We gave our code, and it got turned off. They were responsive. I arm and disarm the system from my phone all the time. We were on a trip abroad and it was nice to be able to look at our house through the camera from wherever we were. In Yellowstone once, I was able to see our front door from the inside.

We were going to use Vivint but my husband was researching and found Frontpoint. My husband did the install and it seemed to be easy for him. The Frontpoint people are good. They call right away to check on us. They even called me when the stuff went off during a bad storm. I've had to call them because our thing wasn't working so well and they helped us update it. I also like their interactive features, it makes things easier. I disarm it right when I leave rather than having to press it and run out of the house and then disarm it (except whenever I forget to disarm it before I walk in). It's always nice to have whenever my husband's out.

We had some problems installing our device but Frontpoint knew what was up and they fixed it pretty quickly. The initial person was very helpful and so was the tech. I use their app at least to get into the house without worrying about the time delay on the alarm. It's a useful feature. I definitely feel good about the doors but the window sensors are probably not what I would go with. They’re a sound-based one and at some point, I might consider the latch sensors on the windows. It's an added cost though.

I had a previous home security provider several years back and Frontpoint is better since the equipment is nicer and the other one had a slow response time. They sent the equipment and the wireless sensors with instructions on how to install it so the installation was very easy. Once everything was up, they said to give them a call and it took them 15 minutes to complete the setup.
It's very nice that I can use the app on my phone to deactivate the system when the house is locked up and a friend needs to go over and get stuff. I’ve had a couple of issues with either a sensor not registering for one reason or another, and then another one when it was freezing up and locking up but they were able to help me resolve those issues. Having Frontpoint gives me a good sense of sense of security by being able to turn the system on at night and not have to worry about anybody coming in or if we're away on vacation.
We're glad to hear that it was easy to get your system up and running and that it provides you with a greater sense of security! Thank you for the great review and don't hesitate to reach out to us if you need anything in the future!

I prefer Frontpoint over the security system I previously had. The wireless aspect is very nice. I can take it with me and I move frequently so I like that aspect a lot. Arming and disarming the system using the phone app is a piece of cake. Installation was very easy too but it took a while to get everything dialed in. I have a remote garage that I have cars in, that I have alarms installed in, and I had difficulty because my house has metal structure inside. I had some difficulty with the size of the house and reading all of the different sensors. I asked for some help from Frontpoint in getting some extended sensors and range extender for inside the house and I finally got everything dialed in.
Since having the system installed, I've had two false alarms but those false alarms were because the garage door opener was going up all by itself without any help so it had nothing to do with Frontpoint. So that turned out fine. But one night the alarm went off in the middle of the night and they called and asked my security code and password. So I gave them both my password and security code, but they registered that as the wrong password so then they called the police on me after a while. I took exception to this. If they want my passcode, which is what I use to activate and deactivate the system, then ask for that. But they should be specific in what they're asking for.
Subsequent to that, they have changed what they asked for and I've been very happy with them. I've had to call for technical support a couple of times because there was one problem that the system had where my keypad was registering that my barn door was closed. But they were registering that it was open. I have an alarm around my house that if I leave my barn door open it'd text me, so it texted me. I was out but changed my plans and came home early. It was closed. Frontpoint fixed the problem once then it happened a second time and then the guy I got on the second time stayed with it longer. He was convinced that he'd found the problem which he did.
Their technical support team has been superb the couple of times that I needed them and were helpful in getting the bugs worked out initially which was was just the makeup of the house with the metal studs and the distance from the barn to the house. So I've been very very, happy with Frontpoint and would recommend them to anybody. The reviews that I read on the internet seem to be well founded. The company seems to rate very high and I would also at this point rate them high. I've had ADT two or three times in the past and also had a local provider Mark Electronics at my last house and they were okay but the systems were antiquated.

I needed Frontpoint because I do not have people that I could give my keys to and I’m very happy with it. What caught my eye when I was searching the internet was the feature that I'd get a text message when the doors open. That's what helps me and I've stayed with Frontpoint because of that. Also, it gives detailed and simple instructions. I found other people saying that they could do it. I called support once they shipped out the device and then they walked me through the installation. It was simple but I wanted to make sure that I correctly positioned it on the doors. I have not had any problems since then and every time I call their customer service team, they let me know about new things that are going on and I like that. I’ve enjoyed the product. It’s amazing how people still come over to the house and they don’t know about it.

I like Frontpoint's service. Installing the system was very simple and seamless. I got the kit and I put it on. But when I got the kit the first time, there was one sensor that was a little bad. It wasn’t detecting. The technical support was on point and they were very helpful in fixing those issues. I received a new one and I installed it. And since then, it's been working fine and I don’t have to worry about anything. Their team knew what they're doing. I feel secure since having Frontpoint because when I go out for a vacation, once I have a secure home, it gives peace of mind.
Their mobile app is also a convenient feature. I use it all the time. Before we come in, I can disarm the system, so we don’t have to worry about running to the keypad. I also manage the notifications and see what door is open or close every now and then. It happened once or twice where one of the sensors went off. The door was swinging open at night. I wasn’t here and my wife phoned me. I called the people and they didn’t seem to see any problem and that was the only one instance where we had some issues. It's great. I've been thinking of doing some camera installations and I'm gonna reach out to Frontpoint at some point.

Frontpoint had good reviews online, so I spoke with someone from Frontpoint and ordered their home security device. One of the other reasons I went with them was because I was able to do it myself which is great. I just described what my needs were, they suggested a certain package and I went with that package. Plus, they're always nice. If any of the doors or windows are opened, the alarm would go off, and I like that if I have a smartphone, I can turn the alarm on and off. It lets me know which doors were opened, and what time, which is great. The main reason I got the device is because I work nights sometimes and my wife is home alone. The device makes her feel safe, so that's a big plus. When my daughter gets older then I can have it armed and she could be home by herself also.

From what I had read online, Frontpoint was the best-rated company. Installation was straightforward. I just needed to call them to activate it once I was done putting all the sensors up. The customer service is great and their reps are very professional and polite. My wife and I have set off the alarm a few times and they’ve been very prompt as far as reaching out to us if there’s anything wrong with the house. I utilize their phone application quite a bit and it's really good. I enjoy using it. Once we've set it all up, it seemed that we can relax.
However, I wasn’t all too impressed now that we’ve had them for a while and I’m locked in a two-year contract. Some houses in my mom's neighborhood got a bit more value when they signed up for ADT even though price-wise, it's at par with Frontpoint. The ADT package includes two outdoor surveillance systems and offered the ability to lock and unlock doors remotely. That’s the disappointing part. I’ve tried to get Frontpoint to offer me a trial, or offer me a good price as far as upgrading to a surveillance system and adding on to it but it was not a pleasant experience. The cameras they're offering are about $150 apiece which is expensive, so I don’t plan on renewing my contract with them after it goes up.

For the first month or so, the alarm was working as expected. However, we were having incidents where the alarm would just go off while we're at work without any notice. We got more scared because each time we would call the police, the police would show up and say that it was just the apartment. So we weren't able to really use the security system but we kept trying. Then the sensors just stopped working and we would walk out of the house, turn on the alarm and then some of the times the alarm would just go off immediately. So we tried removing them and switched the two door sensors because we only have one door but we got two sensors, but it kept doing it. It somehow loses communication every once in a while. Each time we get false alarms, it gets us frustrated and we probably weren't always the most polite, but customer service was still pretty friendly with us.
We really preferred using the Frontpoint app because then we would know if myself or my wife would get home. We would be able to know who came home and when they got home. The motion sensor was easy to install and we had some glue that we stuck it with to the wall and it seemed to stay up well. We're planning on moving and we know that we're going to need different things than what we got for our apartment.

In the one year that we've had Frontpoint, we haven't had any break-ins and the one time it went off it was because of the house cleaner. We were looking for security providers that didn't require hard wiring that were different from ADT. They have good reviews online and my experience speaking with the initial representative was positive. When we got the device out, the terminal was bad so they had to resend one. So I got it a little bit late but they resolved the issue really quickly. Installing it wasn't challenging.
I use the iPhone app and it's user-friendly. There was never really a security concern because of the neighborhood we live in but it definitely adds peace of mind. We like the chiming feature that lets us know when a door opens especially because we have little ones so that on most days, it's more for keeping people in than out.

I had a big problem in my building as my apartment had been broken into more than 100 times for the two years that I've been here so I got Frontpoint. Before I got a camera, burglars were able to circumvent the burglar alarm because they had keys. It was an inside job. The burglars vandalized my panel and it kept saying that the battery was unplugged. I shook it and there was something inside that too. When the internet guy came here, I asked him to fix that and he said it was fixed, but it still kept saying "battery unplugged". Because of this, the burglars were able to find the brochure that Frontpoint gave and steal my passcode and password. They could come over and over again whenever I was not home using my user code which was really terrible. They stole a lot of personal items, even medical files.
At first, I was not aware of it and thought that I was covered. But it was a false sense of security because if somebody came here, there would have been an alarm and I should have been notified through my cell phone. But Frontpoint changed my panel with the camera. They spent several hours helping me to connect it. I feel a little bit better because whenever the camera is triggered, I get a notification on my cell phone so I check when I'm away and that is very good. I can also have a video recording of the burglars to show to the police.
But I know that the burglars can still circumvent the camera so I'm thinking of buying another alarm that has a battery backup. I recommend that Frontpoint put a battery backup on the camera so it is safer. Other than that, it's been a good experience and the people at Frontpoint were very cooperative except for the one time when a former manager here called them saying he was my husband and asked them what I ordered. When I asked for the telephone number of the person who called, their reps told me they didn't have it at the moment.

We bought the Frontpoint system and then we called them and they walked me through everything when we hooked it up ourselves and it was extremely easy. But the fact that Frontpoint had to send us three different control panels before one worked is a disappointment. We're probably at 75% satisfaction at all the times we've had to contact them because we've had to call four times. The dude we had before was great and he walked us through in upgrading whatever it is when something's updated, which is cool.
One morning when leaving for work and the control panel won't set the alarm, I talked to the Frontpoint person and he told me to just leave it that way until I get home and then call them back, which is very aloof like "What does it matter?" attitude. I would have strangled him if he was in front of me. And then their solution was to give us a free month here and there which is all well and good. But I would have rather been invited in to watch that person fired than get a free month. He's a toolbag and I'm sure he's not there anymore.
We use our phones with the system and it's great as long as it works. But when it doesn't work it puts me in a bad spot because I paid for the service to protect my work. When I have to leave my home knowing it's not working, it's a weird situation because ultimately their product is what I'm paying for to protect my home when I'm not there. Also, I really wish that when I'm coming home, every time I open a door, it could sense and disarm. I'm now going to hate this annoying lady who's telling me my doors are open. If only we could somehow make it quieter or just say ding-dong. It doesn't help at midnight when I'm rolling in from the bars and my wife says she knows what time I got home.

Thank God, since then there hasn't been much action in terms of that way. Down the road, I'm eventually going to trade out and get the better box inside. I'm very happy with Frontpoint. Plus, the price was right. I could go cheaper, but I'm going to lose the ability to set up easily. I pay for convenience - it's worth the money.
We're so happy to hear that your setup was simple and that you are enjoying your system! Thanks for sharing your story and please don't hesitate to give us a call if you ever need anything in the future.
