    I googled the best security system and the first one was Frontpoint popped up. I called their customer service and their guys were so kind. They took care of me with all the equipment. My money was tight but they gave me a good deal, discounts. Then the next thing I like about them is that nobody had to come in my house and set up the equipment. That's because I never know what the people coming from outside and into my house are gonna do.

    I did the installation on my own which was so easy, like a 2-year can do it. I just had to pay and inspect the system. No wires and nothing I had to drill. Then they call and activate it remotely. The guy I talked to through the whole process was so professional. We were on the phone for an hour or so as I had many questions and he answered all of them. He also took the time to go to every single thing we would need. The process was very fast. In my job, I do a lot of customer service and the Frontpoint guys were way more polite than myself. They have a lot of patience, took the time to walk me through the stuff and always addressed me by sir.

    I had Comcast before and they suck. Comcast's signal is not that great. The only way I can get service with them is if I have the cable in the house with the internet. If the cable line's cut, that's it. That's when I tried to get my alarm off. It went up for 20 minutes and no one called me. They don't have a backup cellular network unlike Frontpoint wherein it's wireless. And only Frontpoint has got that service. That's why I changed to Frontpoint. And with them, when my brother accidentally opened the door and the alarm went off, within two or three minutes, Frontpoint called. Nobody answered and so they sent a fire truck. Frontpoint is really fast in responding to a call which is what I like.

    I have their app on my phone which is what I use to control the system. I had my wife use hers, too, on the phone, like when she comes home to arm it. When I leave, I arm it and if I open the door, I can disarm in from my phone. I love that feature because it's so much better and nowadays, everywhere I go, I always have the phone with me. And with the app, I can also take snapshots. I have the image sensor on the front of my door and sometimes, I take a picture of the door to see what's going on in the house. Then I can send that picture which is a feature I love. I had a camera outside of my house, too, because I like to have eyes outside, too as it's not peaceful anymore. Frontpoint has been awesome. The company is number one in my list for customer service. They're the best.

    Installation of the Frontpoint system was fine but we've had to change some of the equipment already in the first year so we were not happy with that. The main control panel we had to swap out, as well as a couple of sensors. What also worries me is the fact that the control panel is still all electric and if the power goes out, the whole thing is disarmed. But the fact that there's a phone app is good. Having that access to the system is fantastic.

    Installing our Frontpoint system wasn't easy so we had to hire someone to do it for us. They sent us a door sensor where it has to be put on the door frame and the door but it wouldn't stick, they kept falling off. So, they sent us the kind that has to be drilled into the door and the door frame but we didn't have the tools to be able to do that. So, we hired someone to do the drilling. Also, we couldn't get our camera to stick on the wall. So we had the same guy drill the screws into the wall for the camera. We've tried their interactive features and so far it's fine but it's standard with all security systems, so I don't think it's anything groundbreaking. Nevertheless, we feel more secure since we've had it installed. It was better than expected.

    It was easy installing the Frontpoint security device but the main motion detector on the first floor has an issue keeping it up on the wall. As for the Frontpoint team, every time I spoke with someone, they were friendly. It’s been smooth with Frontpoint. I usually use my phone to control the system and I like it, especially because I always forget to turn it on before I leave. It’s been a year now since I've had the system and I feel safer knowing I have it. I like using it when everybody is out of town, for the most part.

    I have Frontpoint for about a year now. Both of my daughters installed it for me and it worked fine. Everybody at Frontpoint was very helpful. In the beginning, we discovered that the app for the phone was very slow. They recommended that I call AT&T, my phone provider. AT&T recommended that I download the app through the app store which I did and it made all the difference. It’s good to know that the system is there and that I’ve got an early warning if anyone is breaking in. Everything is as advertised so I’m happy with that.

    When we were installing the Frontpoint security device, we had difficulty with the cameras especially syncing it up to the Wi-Fi. We had to be on multiple different calls with different technicians for them to walk us through hooking it up. The problem was remedied and our interaction with the people at Frontpoint was very good. We also like the interactive features of the device and our sense of security since having the system has been much better. Overall, it was an excellent experience.

    I did my internet research and Frontpoint had the best reviews. Installing the device was easy to do. It was pretty self-explanatory. One piece arrived broken so they had to send out a replacement which took a few days but everybody’s been friendly and helpful. They provide really good customer service and we’ve been very happy. We also use our phones to control the system such as deactivating it from work and that's a nice benefit to have. We definitely feel more secure knowing that we have an alarm system.

    It was easy to install the device of Frontpoint. I had a few calls with their staff in terms of operating the system in different scenarios. I had a few discussions with them related to how I can best secure the premises if I'm in a 'Stay' security lockdown. Then, I decided to acquire additional motion sensor for downstairs. I always use the app. Accessing the system through the phone is a must. The Frontpoint system has definitely given me peace of mind.     I had a dilemma when I was putting in my Frontpoint system as the sensors wouldn't stick on the wall but after that, everything was fine. Their team has been fine too, except for one time that my alarm went off in the middle of the night because the sensor fell off the wall. The rep seemed half asleep and irritated that I kept him on the phone. I explained how I needed to find out if somebody was at my house and if they should call the cops or not, and he told me he'll wait, but he seemed annoyed. Other than that, my overall experience was adequate and pleasant.

    I've been with Frontpoint for 12 months now. It was easy to install the security device. I already knew where they needed to be, so it was very simple. The people at Frontpoint have been really nice. I called a couple of times because the alarms fell off, and I had to make sure that the police weren't called. They've always been responsive. The only thing is that the security system itself is a little more sensitive than my previous provider, and also, anytime the alarm was tripped, the previous provider immediately contacted me which I have not experienced with Frontpoint. It takes a bit longer to get through to somebody.

    In addition, I walked in the other day after the alarm system have already been set, and I noticed that my motion sensors didn't trigger anything at all. I'm going to go back today and test them because I'm a little concerned that it's an issue and if it is, I would assume that Frontpoint would have seen that and gotten a hold of me but it hasn't happened. Realistically, the alarm systems are designed to scare people away because we know that the police aren't going to respond that quick. I wish they were more quick to respond, but overall it's okay. My experience has been average.

    The Frontpoint device is good, but it's more expensive that the others out there. It's about 45 to 50 bucks a month. At that time, I didn't know what they were doing so I thought it was the best. However, I don't see what is really that much better. If someone comes in and the door opens, the alarm goes off. Then the team would call if we take too long to turn off the alarm to make sure everything's okay. But, they're quick to respond. I also like using the app. I could set it as I'm leaving or if I'm in bed through my phone.

    My wife installed our Frontpoint system. She’s not too handy but she didn’t have any problems. Their reps were very helpful. We were given a month free to use their interactive features. We have the lowest level so we don’t have those anymore, but it worked well when we had it. We’re cost averse right now, so we didn’t continue it.     I decided to go with Frontpoint given the price-point, the reviews and what they said about the customer service. The installation was simple. I mounted the adhesive of the sensors over my doors and windows and I called Frontpoint once they were up then tey activated it and it was done. The features on the device and the system are well-designed. It's nice having a feature on my phone so that I can arm, disarm, and check who's coming in and out or when effective when any sensor is open. I recently got the remote controls for a bit more ease of use in terms of arming and disarming, but also because of the panic feature.

    Having the alarm system makes me feel much more secure. It’s good to know that I have the motion sensors as well so I know that when anything happens, it’ll go off. They’ve been triggered unintentionally by my mother-in-law or my wife and Frontpoint calls immediately every time to check in. So, I am reassured that if something were to happen, the system will work properly and that they would be on top of it. They have great and responsive customer service.

    I went on the internet and started looking at things and it showed a good rating for Frontpoint, and that's why I ended up going with them. I've had to call them about a couple of things and they've always been very helpful. The only concern I have is if something happens and the house is broken into and how quickly they would respond to getting police out here. I don't know what would happen if the alarm triggers off because I haven't had anything happen. The service is also pretty expensive because I had to buy all the equipment. I got a lot of money invested into the equipment, and I don't know whether or not other alarm companies do the same because Frontpoint is the first one I've been with.

    I used Vector Security before being with Frontpoint but I like Frontpoint better. With them, I can control my alarm from my phone and I think it's an amazing feature. It feels secure because I don't have to wonder if I set the alarm when I walk out of the house. I can simply check it on my phone. My interactions with their team have been great as well. They're always helpful.

    However, I don't like my alarm kit sitting on my table. I would much rather for it to be mounted and for someone to actually come out and do it versus me doing it myself. I do wish that Frontpoint actually did the installation since doing it myself has been difficult. It was hard to get everything put up because I still had an alarm system set up at my house. The last time I had it done, the previous company removed everything so it was easier to put the system up. It has also been a problem trying to replace the batteries of Frontpoint's device.

    I've been extremely happy with Frontpoint. I was looking for a security company and they were rated the best everywhere I looked so I used them. I've loved everybody I had to speak to there. I have moved now and I've brought the system with me but I haven't called Frontpoint yet to tell them that I've moved and set it up, but I always used the arming and disarming app with my phone and computer. They explained everything to me really well where I can go in and change the names of the devices if I want to.

    I was under the impression that I didn't have to pay for the monthly service fee of $45 a month. One day I called Frontpoint and asked if I could stop paying it for a little while because I needed to find ways to save some money, and they said I couldn't. They explained to me that I was wrong about that, but they said, "What we can do for you since you're trying to look for ways to save money is we can knock your payment down for six months from $45 to $10." That postponed my contract agreement with them for six months but I was able to pay $10 a month for six months which made me extremely happy, too. They've been wonderful and I feel a lot safer having them. Even just putting the sign in the yard and stickers on the windows and doors up made me feel a lot better.

    During the installation, we got some parts mixed up, and had to put it again. They don’t send extra glue to put on the wall. And I was running out of tape to put on the wall because they didn’t send any extra tapes. So now, the sensor keeps falling because the tape that they send is not very good. Also, one sensor went off while I was working. I was getting calls from Frontpoint saying that my sensor is on. And when I got here, nothing happened. But the app on my phone works how it’s supposed to do and it's good. Overall, my experience has been not so great but okay.

    What's good about Frontpoint is when something was wrong with the sensor, they told me exactly which one and where it was wrong, like when the battery went low. ADT told me before that sensor number 37 was low and I had no idea what that meant. Frontpoint's device was also easy to install and they were very helpful when I had trouble with part of the installation. I had a question about setting up the console and I called someone and he walked me through it. I didn't have to wait on hold which was a good thing.

    The arming and disarming app works fine too. It's nice to be able to look at the system and turn it on or off remotely. I forget to turn it on when we leave, so it's good to remember. One time the cleaning service we used set off the alarm and they had forgotten their code. The police came and we got a warning that there shouldn't be any more false alarms, but I was very glad they came because the system actually works. Overall, Frontpoint is competitive with other products out there although they have nothing particularly innovative.

    I originally got the Frontpoint system so I'd be sure the house was safe and if there's a patch of people here when I'm not here that they'd be safe. Right now it's not doing that. The alarm in the basement kept going off and there was no fire down there. They called and we told them I was all right. The machine is pretty loud and it's really hard on my ear. I couldn't make it be quiet so I just took the batteries out of it. We get charged $40 every month around the contract but right now I can't even use it because every time we do, it keeps going off. I'm on a fixed income and it's a notable expense. I'm also not thrilled that it's a contract deal. It's hard to get out of this contract but I'm stuck.

    My son is a mechanical engineer and he got frustrated with Frontpoint too so I'm not the only one. He called them back and he was trying to get it straightened out and Frontpoint said somebody from the technical department is gonna have to talk him. He's talked to people on the phone a couple of times and it's still not straightened out. He's coming home for Thanksgiving and I'll have to go without or just stay close to home until then for safety purposes. I hate to go too far because I know the system isn't working.

    Installing Frontpoint was super easy and quick. Their reps were very friendly and easy to deal with too. Using Frontpoint's interactive features is the only way we use it and having access to the system through it is excellent.     The people I bought the house from had Frontpoint and everything was installed when I got here. They told me I can keep the contract going if I just changed the account over to mine. However, the battery in the sensors keep dying. So, they keep sending me new sensors. I arm or disarm the alarm through my phone all the time. It comes in handy. My interaction with their reps has been pleasant. They’ve either walked me through the problem or fixed the issue themselves. Overall, it’s been a good experience.

    We've used our Frontpoint security system for about a year. It may not be great, but it's okay. I don't use it as often as I might, since my wife works from home, so she's here a lot. In the more distant past, we used another home security service, but not immediately before we went with Frontpoint. We had ADT's security system once before. Likewise, it wasn't great, but it was okay. Our interaction with the team at Frontpoint was set off one time when we first got the security system, and they were fine.

    It was easy enough to use our Frontpoint system, which is a minimal security system. Overall, it's adequate. I don't see anybody with any ingenuity get right around it, but it will monitor the doors. The online portion of the system or the onto your device equipment isn't particularly friendly and can be improved, but the system works. My wife can use the phone and turn the alarms on and off from the driveway with relative success. I'm not anywhere near having a satisfactory remote experience with the alarm system. I can turn it on and run back in the door quickly, and get it off before it calls the cops. But the ability to monitor and see things from a distance would be useful. I know who robbed us right before we got our security system, but that person has moved away, and our system hasn't been put to any test since then.

    We were with a home security provider before. Then we decided to replace it so I researched to find commentary on different security systems. The main things I looked for was customer support, responsiveness to incidents and also the richness of the product portfolio. And Frontpoint seemed to come out ahead in the research I had. Installation went well. A good job was done with the packaging so it was very easy to unpack the boxes. The different components were very clearly marked. They also provided some extras that a less thoughtful company might not have thought of, like the sticky stuff to make things easier to attach. We called customer support a few times either for questions or problems and they were always very helpful. Customer support experience was one of the primary criteria I used in selecting and Frontpoint really got good marks for that.

    We’ve got the iPhone app on all of our different phones and iPads. That’s my primary means of communicating with the system because the console is a very clunky interface. And there's one main problem with the app. Apple has a framework called HomeKit that allows one to integrate home devices more deeply into the iOs operating system. I work in the tech industry and have shared this feedback with Frontpoint's CEO about a year ago that they really need to support Homekit because it would be such a better experience for Apple users. Apple tends to have the more affluent consumers so there would be a high overlap between people who buy expensive security systems and people who use iPhones and iPads. It's really annoying that that hasn't been done yet.

    I even mentioned on the forum that when the contract's over, if Frontpoint hasn't adopted HomeKit and there's somebody else with comparable customer service who has, I'll switch because that's important to me. That's a dealbreaker even if we're happy with Frontpoint at the moment. Frontpoint has great customer service but their system needs HomeKit.

    Frontpoint has been my home security service provider for a year now. I built a new house, 4,630 square feet, that has a lot of molding and crown. Thus those Frontpoint sensors aren't sticking well on molding of the door or windows. In fact, Frontpoint had to send me a larger sensor for the master slider since it's so far away from my main terminal. It won't stay on the wall so finally, I just bought some two-sided Velcro which sticks better.

    We live on the river, in a pretty good neighborhood and we just use Frontpoint if we're out of town. We've never had to use it so it's just like insurance. I don't know whether I like Frontpoint or not though. There have only been a couple of times that we accidentally opened the door. We punched in the code in after the beeping noise but we never got a call from Frontpoint. I guess they don't call if we get the code in quick enough. Still, I've had wonderful interactions and very good customer service from their very professional team. They also have good equipment.

    Installing the Frontpoint security device was super simple. Once I called them, they walked me through the steps of activating. I like their interactive features, especially the reminder. It remembers that I usually set it at a certain time every day when I leave. If I ever forget or somebody calls me, it always sends me a reminder to let me know that it’s not armed so I can still arm it through my app.

    There was some miscommunication at one point about the sensors and other stuff that Frontpoint sent, but that was the second batch when I moved. They billed me double for one but they resolved it quickly when they realized they only sent me one. The only other issue I had was at one point I was locking up the interface. But they just downloaded some upgrade on the door. Other than that, it’s been fine and my family feels safe with it. It's been a good experience and it's a good quality security system.

    Frontpoint has been my security provider for a long time, long enough to run past the 3-year mark where I go month-to-month. I stayed with them because they're easier to deal with when I relocated the system to another house. When I changed house though, I had a very challenging situation because they left me with no security for several days. They were supposed to send me a free camera but what ended up happening was they sent me a whole new system startup kit. Now, here I am with two systems but no camera. It was really screwy.

    When I finally got hold of a manager, he went back through all the emails of the guy that placed the order for me and messed it up. But they fixed it and were very cordial and apologetic. I understand people make mistakes but they left me with no security for several days and I was a little upset about that, because it was in the middle of a move. A lot of people get targeted when moving into a house so I had to change my plans.

    I also had a bad camera, but Frontpoint sent me another one and I sent the other one back. I haven't hooked up the new one yet because it's kind of a pain. But I feel like the technology that I'm using is old, maybe a five or six-year old technology. There's other stuff out there that's newer. I feel like at some point I'm gonna make a decision to either keep them on or upgrade. It just seems very difficult to get a camera to work. I have to unplug it, plug it into the router, then wait for something, then go back to get this other thing, then wait. Also, a lot of times the camera lose connection and they don't work. It's not the best technology in the world. But for the most part, Frontpoint has been pretty good. If I didn't like them, they'd be out of here.

    I had a different security provider in my other house and switched to Frontpoint for the house I'm in now because they were cheaper. Their system was also easy to install. However, I have two gripes with Frontpoint. One is the fact that there is no loud alarm that goes on the outside of the house and the other thing is that, sometimes, the system can go down without me knowing about it. I don’t know if some of the sensors are working 100%. Other than that, I had a lot of interaction with their reps and they were all very positive. They have great customer service. Also, I used all of Frontpoint's interactive features and everything is great.

    Installing the sensors was pretty easy. The biggest issue I have was with the front and back door outdoor cameras. Those are not as easy as I got to do a little bit more to get them to work and had to call them to walk me through it. But they're very professional. If not the individual, I would call back and find someone else who would be able to give me a better answer.

    Being able to access and control the system anytime, anywhere's good. However our house builder put a liner on the roof that’s like a tinfoil. From what I heard people say, it interferes with cell phone reception. So when I access the system and I arm or disarm it in my home, I’m always using Wi-Fi reception, not my cellphone's. Then coming out of my house, the cellphone carrier that I use is not as great, so sometimes there would be a delay when I'm trying to arm the system. But other than that, it’s easy and simple to use. I can control the temperature in the house as I set it up with one of those thermostats that can remotely access the cellphone app and that’s convenient.

    I have one of those smart locks where I put in a code and open the door instead of using a key. And so that’s tied in to the system where I put in the code and where it will disarm the system once the code for the door is put in and the alarm would disarm. Sometimes with some of the individuals who have access to the door, the system wouldn’t recognize that they came in and then it would alarm. And I wonder sometimes if Frontpoint get the alarm, are they always supposed to call and say, “Hey. Is everything all right?” Or is that just based on how long the alarm goes off? That’s the only thing I would have to get clarified because sometimes they would call and sometimes they wouldn’t.

    Everything went well during the installation. I ordered the wrong door part so I ended up having to return those and it was pretty easy. They sent me a new one with no extra cost. I use the interactive feature daily and it's great. The only downfall is I'm in Canada and the pricing is in American dollars so it changes from month to month. It would have been a little better if it's a Canadian price. Nevertheless, everything has been pretty straightforward and they're helpful so I'd recommend them for sure.

    Frontpoint is a great company to deal with. They're top notch and the best customer service I've ever dealt with. I had a house break in and at that point, I decided to get a home security system. When I was doing my research Frontpoint jumped out at me as being a leader. They sell cameras to go with that system but I went ahead and bought the cameras and installed those myself. I have not armed Frontpoint for glass break or door entry, but have cameras around that I monitor. The sensors are unobtrusive.

    I bought a sensor and as I was about to arm the system my screen froze. I spoke with Damian, and he did a system update, and it went quick and flawlessly. Damian determined that one of the motion sensors or image sensors failed. I might have one on my doorsteps soon. I've never had any better customer service in my life. Their people know their product, they're succinct, and professional. I can reach a person and I don't have to go through a thousand phone prompts. I feel safer in having the system. I feel good with my ten cameras getting images, but I also feared getting a false alarm, walking in and forgetting to disarm it. I've been hassled to even go through the motions. Everyone in Frontpoint has been a great player.

    With me being alone, I wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to have to worry about somebody breaking in on me and not knowing it, and I feel a lot better with Frontpoint. I'm not having any problems. I like Frontpoint better than my previous security provider. The installation was pretty quick. I don't have to wire it by my door or anything. I just plug it in. However, I had to talk to the supervisor one time because of a negative experience, but he fixed it. They charged me for something that they shouldn't have charged me for, and in return, he gave me a refund plus two months free monitoring. He was very nice.

    My alarm went off one time and I wasn't home. I didn't understand why it went off. I talked to one of their reps and I said, "Are you telling me somebody's in my house?" The rep said, "Well, I can't tell you if somebody is in your house. I'm just telling you that it went off." But when I'm home I have set it off myself a couple of times because I forget the motion sensors on and I walk in my kitchen and it goes off. I try to pay more attention to that. But so far, it's not been a real urgency. It’s been me most of the time.

    I used Mautz Security, a local one, for my home security before. Their system will just check if one of your doors was open or not. When we moved, we switched to Frontpoint. They have all the features that you can take advantage of like the browser and they have a better coverage. They shipped the device which I installed easily. I called them to enable it and they responded quickly. I love their system because I can control the system remotely. I had the basic version where I have a couple of sensors but it only allows me to control the door, so I upgraded the system and ordered a module so I can also control the light. I am looking forward to updating it to the next level where I can control the locks and thermostat or more of automating the house.     Frontpoint has the best reviews when I did a research online so I went with them. I had an issue with its installation at first because I wasn’t sure whether it would fit on my door. I was a little apprehensive about doing it on my own. When I called, their reps walked me through it and I didn’t feel rushed at all. They were really good. So far, they’ve been positive and friendly, and I’ve never had to wait to speak to anybody for customer service, which is nice.     Installing the device was pretty self explanatory. We had a few issues here and there, but they walked us through step by step and helped us out with that. The one that took the longest was the motion detector, just trying to get it situated in the right spot. In the beginning we had some issues with the motion detector going off. I’m not certain if the police ever came out to the property, which would be the only question I have about the security system. We've also recently had issues with the arming and disarming app the last few days and we’re trying to resolve that. We’re unable to arm and disarm from the app from our cell phones, so they’re sending us another pad. Overall having Frontpoint gives us greater peace of mind and their customer service is great. For places that are very rural there can be some issues with it, but other than that it’s great.

I have one bad sensor and two defective panels until I got one that actually worked. It was frustrating in the beginning because the equipment was bad, but that’s not their fault.     Frontpoint could be a little bit more clearly marked as far as the alarm, but they would go a long way to help people in setting the system up correctly the first time without pulling the tape off, and back on. One has to really look at the thing to see what side needs to go up because it's a little confusing. It took me a little bit during installation but everything always has flaws the first time around. All of my interactions with their staff has been wonderful. They were very friendly, courteous, helpful, and they were able to answer all my questions. When the alarm goes off unexpectedly, they're on top of it. I use the app where I can access our system from our phone every time we leave. If we forget it and we're two miles down the road, the app let's go ahead and take care of that. We are a lot more comfortable. It also lets us know when the kids are trying to slip out the backdoor. Everything seems to be working as it should be. Frontpoint is very reliable.

    I installed the devices myself, and didn't have any issues. I've used the app only once initially, just to try it. But I rarely use it and instead, just turn the alarm on and off on the system itself. I like being with Frontpoint. Once I left the garage keys at my friend's place. I came home and wanted to open the door, but it was locked from inside. Frontpoint was helpful in disarming the alarm from their end for half an hour or so, and that was enough time for me to open the door and cut the chain from inside.

    I've used Frontpoint for almost a year now. I'm on a contract with them for two years. After that, I may try to look for other alternatives or if there is anything cheaper because I haven't even looked at any competitor prices. I just straight away went online and looked for the reviews and everyone said this was one of the good ones and I took it.

    The installation process was fine, but we've had some issues with some of the sensors since then, and their resolution to that was less than satisfactory. I had a sensor that failed and was constantly raising a false alarm which I was then being charged for by Frontpoint because of the responder service that they had to send out. They offered to replace the sensor which we did, but that did not resolve the issue, and I continue to have the issue today. The team is courteous and friendly, but they were never able to fully diagnose the issue that I've had.

    In terms of the price that they're offering, one thing that Frontpoint doesn't make very clear is that depending on where I live, they may not be able to offer monitoring service. So, they have to have somebody come out and anytime somebody has to come out, it's an additional fee whereas in most security services that fee is built into the price. I wasn't too happy with Frontpoint's service, they are over-promised and under-delivered, and I don't use the service because it's not working for us.

    Frontpoint's customer service department is more flexible, educated, and professional than the other provider I used to be with. They're very good people. If I have any problem, I call them and they solve it right away. If there's any little complaint, they will not argue with you. They follow it right away. The only poor side of Frontpoint is the consumer self-installation. It's easy but it's a lot hassling because some part of electronic is getting damaged during the shipping so they resend you back. I had to go through a lot by opening each item and they're really small and I have to give them the serial to activate it. There were a lot of things to go on and on. But they did very well. When I called the billing department the lady was very extremely nice. She even gave me four months free monthly charge.

    The equipment is easy to use too. I use my iPhone to arm or disarm my system. That's the beauty of their interactive features and it's very easy to use on the internet. This past Sunday for the first time, we had false alarm at two o'clock in the morning. It was the window right next to where I was sleeping. Right away they called to check us. I was supposed to call their technical support because one of the image sensors is not working. I think that's what she told me when the alarm went off. I wish they would have the site installation. They'd beat everybody with this strategy because they have excellent technical support and customer service.

    In September 2016 my 3-yr contract was completed. I called to tell them I didn't want to continue and to please cancel my account. Then in October I was billed again for $42.99. So now I have to spend more of my time and aggravation calling them to correct their screw-up. This is ridiculous. I hate companies that make it so difficult to leave. What a royal pain!

    Frontpoint was the worst company I’ve ever dealt with in my life. It’s a really crappy deal. When we started the ball rolling, they gave us a price but before you know it, they’re already trying to lower the pricing to get us down to be competitive. They should give us a solid price at the get-go instead of trying to beat somebody up only to find out later that they can do it for a cheaper price which they did. They kept dropping until they could get down to the price where the competitors were. I wish that I just went somewhere else.

    I have a contract with them so I can’t get out of it. I could’ve pushed the issue a little bit because I had some legality with them. But they sent me this kit that we have to install ourselves while the competitors come out and install the kit with a person that has some workmanship. Although I can do anything that anybody else can do, I thought it was no big deal. I found out that they sent the wrong stuff because my doors won’t close and they never checked to find out about what kind of door I had. They just sent some random kit that they thought would fit. So, I called them and I told them that I had problems. They didn’t call back until all of a sudden, they’re wanting my payment. I told them that I’m not giving them payment until they figured out what I needed to get my alarm set up.

    So, after six months, they said they were going to turn me in to a collection agency when in fact their system don't work! I got tired of calling but somebody finally called to fix my problem. They sent me all these stuff that was supposed to repair my problems, which didn’t. A year later, I’m still dealing with the same crap. I just got it resolved about two months ago. And, even now, I’m a little frustrated because I don’t have the stuff that I really should’ve had for the windows. So basically, they’re just some people on the end of a sales call that don’t really know crap about their product. It’s frustrating but it’s in my house. It works but I'm not happy with it.

    I live in a nice community and never really had any bad experience. I've never had a security system but in today's day and age, things are changing and that's the reason I put Frontpoint in. Installing the security device was quick and easy. I needed something extra and they sent it right out to me. We did have the alarm go off once last winter when a contractor came into my house and I forgot to shut it off, but everything was taken care of. They handled it well.     Frontpoint was number one on the iPad, so I looked into it and got it. I'm very satisfied with its installation. I just plugged it in. My sons were here too and they put the little doodads up on the doors and windows. Once in a while, I get up in the morning and set it off but I immediately shut it off. When I first got it, the pad got stuck. They called me and they shut it off for me and sent me a new one. I haven't had any problems since. I'm a widow and I live in the country alone so when I go away, I put it on and when I come in, I shut it off. When I go to bed, I put it on and I feel comfortable. I've been very satisfied and happy with it. I did have a German Shepherd dog which stays by my side all the time but it's an extra help and makes me feel comfortable.

    We bought a house about a year ago and we got Frontpoint within the first month of owning the house. We’re on a community LISTSERV and people were discussing using different home security systems. People seem to have a good experience with them, so we ended up calling them. We got a package with instructions and I had a scheduled call with an operator who walked us through setting it up. It’s easy to do. The sensors all work but we had one that ended up being replaced, which they did quickly.

    We arm and disarm the system on our app. In fact, today we have a family member who's leaving. She'll let us know when she leaves, locks the door, and then, one of us will turn it on. It’s great. We leave the house at different times so it’s nice for either one of us to control it and sometimes we don’t want to feel stressed about having to put in the code and then make it out the door in a certain period of time. So, we use the electronic service more often and then only at night do we really set it from the main monitor.

    Every single time the fire alarm goes off, they’ve called within minutes. And once when my phone was dead and we didn’t answer the other phone, they sent the fire department within 10 minutes of the alarm going off. They're really responsive and always polite. We have friends who just got a place and I recommended Frontpoint to them.

    I did some research and Frontpoint came as number one. I like their mobile feature which I didn't have before. The app is really nice and I don’t have any issues with it so far. Everything is pretty straightforward and works as designed. The team is also really helpful. They are very, very friendly people. However, my previous home security provider was available anytime 24/7 but Frontpoint isn't. They only have emergency that is available. If I ask for support, they only work Monday through Friday, 9:00 to 5:00, and that’s a little bad to me. For a security system, I’m expecting they have support 24/7. And though the installation was quite easy, their adhesive on back of the fire alarm is really bad. It has fallen off a few days back and it’s tampered the system so I need to call them for a replacement. They can improve those two areas. Nevertheless, I recommend Frontpoint to my friends.

    I was traveling for work so I needed to get a home security service. I used ConsumerAffairs and a couple of other sites to get a feel of how people felt about Frontpoint. The system was a breeze to set up, no issues or difficulties doing it. The people at Frontpoint are fantastic to work with. I called them a couple of times, mostly with questions. I called them during the initial set up and everyone was very pleasant, easy to work with, always in a good mood, always helpful.

    One of the primary reasons I went with Frontpoint was the ability to access and control it anytime and anywhere. I use the app to arm and disarm my system more than I do it from the console. If they didn’t have it, I’d probably end up switching to a company that did. My family, in general, felt more secure having the system. I wanted to expand my system, but their pricing tends to make me think twice about it so I haven’t added as much as I would normally. Add-on services and devices are a little cost-prohibitive at times. If you do tell them that, sometimes they’ll come up with discounts for you. That's the only complaint about the system, other than that, I love everything about it. Overall, it was a reliable and pleasant experience.

    We had ADT for close to 17 years. It was okay, but it was becoming obsolete because it was not wireless. When we needed to upgrade and we were having problems, they were so extremely busy that they cut us off for a week. That was the deal breaker so we decided to change to Frontpoint. My husband did the installation and it was relatively easy and did not take him too long.

    I like being able to access the system from my phone. If I have to have the neighbor come over, I can easily disarm the system and it’s more convenient that way. Recently there’s been a few times where the app has been difficult from my phone and I’m not sure why. I’ll have to try to rearm and a lot of times it won’t go quickly, but that was the only problem. There's been a couple of times where the alarm has gone off and their team has been quick to call.

    With my previous service provider, it was a lot more cumbersome to put in the code because I had to push a whole bunch of buttons whenever I left. When I come back, it's the same way. But with Frontpoint, everything was a lot more technologically advanced and a lot easier using it. I don't have all these wires running on the walls. It just has the blocks plugged in like the telephones. When I leave, I only have to push one button to arm and it’s very easy to disarm it when I come back. I had a couple of problems during the installation though. The little things wouldn't stick when I put them up on the doors. Sometimes one would pop off when I open the door because it's pointing in toward the door. And once, a little magnet piece popped off and went through the deck. So I called. They were very nice and they just sent another one out here. But overall, Frontpoint is so much simpler and it's all more automatic.

    Prior to using Frontpoint I used Alert Alarm and it wasn't as good. Frontpoint walked me through the installation on the phone with the help desk, it was quick and we had no problems. There is a greater sense of security. They were supposed to send me a different kind of door alarm but I didn't receive it. I got to call the customer service line and get the part. But other than that, it's been good.

    Our Frontpoint experience so far has been very good. We have all kinds of different services here on the block, but we decided to go with Frontpoint because their features are better and the pricing was fair. The installation was very quick. If you follow the instructions, no problem at all. The only tricky thing has been the motion alarm because it’s so sensitive that I have to be careful about our cats. We have four cats and we’re concerned that they’re going to set off the motion alarm downstairs so we’re playing with that, but I’m very happy with the service right now. We’re growing into it rather than the other way around. This is our first system so we’re kinda lucky to hear those beeps when the cats come in.

    Having Frontpoint has cut down on the number of people that hang around the house that shouldn’t be, which I really like. We have a lot of teenagers on the block and they have nowhere to go to play and therefore they select people’s yards. I turn on the back porch light and if one of them tries to break the glass or come through a window, I’ll know it. I've also called Frontpoint once and they were very helpful. Everybody seems to have a pretty good attitude which I like. I get somebody on the end of the line that actually knows what they’re doing. We were a little surprised to find out that we were live already because we never called in and said we were live, but we’re working around that. But overall my first attempt with a security system has been successful and I’ve found the right company in Frontpoint.

    We are generally happy with Frontpoint. We've used their security system for over a year now, and it's a good system. The only part we don't like is that it's a little bit on the expensive side. We installed our security device ourselves, and it was pretty straightforward and easy to do. The only problem we had in the installation was that we tried several devices, and the device on one of the doors with a camera doesn't work, so that door was unprotected, but we put a camera sensor on there, which solved the problem. We've tried arming and disarming our system from our app or computer, and we do that all the time. We definitely feel safer, especially after last month when several houses in a row on our street were burglarized and the houses with security systems were skipped. Thanks to Frontpoint for their promptness in calling us and making sure that everything is okay when the alarm goes off. That is a good feature.

    We've been pleased with Frontpoint. We have them for a year now. It was a quick installation but my preference would be not to have to install anything myself. We had to make a couple of calls before everything was working properly. They were patient in making sure that all of the sensors were set appropriately. We had to get a replacement sensor because the adhesive wasn't working properly but that was not a problem.

    Then one time, one of the sensors triggered an error because it wasn't aligned properly. They were courteous and patient in talking us through and testing to make sure that it was working. It was a good experience talking with them. They were knowledgeable and always able to answer all my questions. Frontpoint has been a cost-effective, straightforward means of securing our home.     It’s been a peace of mind for me to have Frontpoint as my security system. We installed it in December of last year and I just had to make a call to the tech support to activate all the sensors. I also had a couple of other calls with Frontpoint and everyone has been nice. The system is easy to use and any layman can use it. It's simple and my wife and I love it.

    I'm a techie guy so I use all the online features and everything Frontpoint has. What has resonated well is the integration, especially sensor integrations with other home hubs. There's only one thing that I had been requesting: I'm using their app now and I cannot do any scheduled remote log in/log off so I cannot arm it automatically at this time. I have to get up or pick up the phone to arm it. If they can actually integrate the Frontpoint system into one of those universal hubs, then that will be amazing. That I can activate it from anywhere in the world is an added advantage for me.

I accidentally set the alarm off once, but because I walked out, I didn't hear the blaring that was inside.     We've been using Frontpoint for a little over a year now. The only issue I had was with setting up the camera. I had trouble getting it to connect to my Wi-Fi. So, I ended up having to call customer service and they helped me with that. They were great and wonderful. Also, I mainly use the mobile alarm app for activating and deactivating my device. This system definitely gives me a sense of security knowing that I have it. I don't always use it but it makes me feel secure knowing that it is there for the times that I do use it.

    I've had several home security providers over the past 10 years. What I like about Frontpoint was the easy setup. You can just stick the sensors everywhere. When one of the sensors was not working, I called and they simply asked me the model number and I got the sensor in a couple of days. It was very easy. I installed the application and we use it to arm and disarm the system. I am not a techy kind of guy but it's very easy to use. My wife and the kids feel better with a security system when I travel or I am out of town. I would be very glad to recommend Frontpoint.

    I had a lot of trouble getting Frontpoint's security device to be where they needed to be on the door because my doors are not flat and so its stick-on security device didn’t meet like they should. I have a habit of forgetting that the system is still on when I come home and I'm sitting in my car for a little bit before I walk in the door and the alarm goes off. I have to reach for my cell phone to disable it and before I can do that, they called me and I can't disable it because they're on the phone with me so that annoys me. But other than that, I feel better having Frontpoint installed in the house.

    I was doing some internet browsing on home security systems, found different options, and Frontpoint somehow looked the best for me, so I went with them. Whoever called me at Frontpoint or whomever I needed to call there was fine, and I have no complaint at all. Everything went smoothly when we installed our security device. It works pretty well. It's a psychological thing, but we do feel more secure since installing it. We did not have any trouble so far with somebody trying to get in, but we keep it just in case someone does. We arm our security system from our cellphones when we are out of the house and we disarm it when we are back, and we do this daily and it absolutely works fine.

    I used ADT in the past. Frontpoint was recommended to me and it's been exactly one year now that I've been using them. The billing process is much easier with Frontpoint compared to ADT where I had a lot of billing issues. I also like the fact that Frontpoint is mobile and I can take my unit when I move. They are really responsive too. If my alarm goes off, even if by accident, they'd call me and ask if I'm okay. Everybody I've called is really nice which I didn't experience with ADT. Even if I have a complaint, Frontpoint's customer service is standard across. I've never run into anybody who's mean or made me feel like I was a burden, and that’s really important to me. If I have good customer service, the price doesn’t bother me.

    I also use the Frontpoint phone app all the time. I travel a lot for my job and when I’m out of town, I could disarm my house alarm wherever I am like when my friend comes to check on my house. If I'm on a plane and I forget to turn on my alarm, which happens to me a lot, I can look on my phone and see if it is armed or not. I don't like and don't use the key fob as much, though. With Frontpoint, the alarm goes off if anybody walks into the area. I do wish, however, I had window sensors and things of that nature because I would feel a little bit more secure. My system didn't come with that.

    I did online research, and Frontpoint was the only service I found that doesn't require local landline. I called for advanced feature keycode to unlock a device, and getting the code was very easy. It took me a couple of minutes to get someone on the phone, and I got the code immediately.     I've been using Frontpoint for a year now. Someone calls me if the alarm went off and the interactions have all been good. We arm or disarm from our phone all the time which is nice. The only issue is that the alarm is not loud enough. If we’re upstairs, we cannot even hear them go off which we're supposed to. It’s annoying that we can’t hear it.

    We've been using Frontpoint for about a year and it was pretty easy installing and I just have had problems with activating it. It went off without actually needing to go off because I armed it through my phone. They told me that I was messing it up and that it was a user error.     I had ADT before switching to Frontpoint. Their services are the same but with ADT, the equipment was leased and I never owned anything. Frontpoint's security device is easy to install but I had them send me new adhesive pads because with time, the window sensors would fall off. Also, their team was very helpful when I've had to reset the monitoring thing. I use their mobile app all the time and it's a great feature. With Frontpoint installed, I worry less and it helps me sleep better at night.

    I've been with Frontpoint for a year now. I was looking for a security system, researched on the internet, and settled with them. They seemed to be the most responsive and more of what I wanted. I wouldn’t have been able to do installation alone, but the guy on the phone was more than helpful. He had about two hours almost on the phone with me.

    I disarm and arm from my app on my phone all the time and set up some of my settings on the computer.     I've had simple issues of malfunctioning sensors and the Frontpoint reps have talked me through them every time and they've sent me new ones right away. So, I've been fairly happy with that. However, I would like to be able to customize a different mode because one of the sensors is in the basement. Sometimes my mother-in-law's there and when she's not there, I would like to turn that motion sensor on at night. But I don't want to turn on the other motion sensor on my ground floor because my kids will set it off. They've given me a couple of surf-fixes but it ought to be easy to do through the app to choose which ones you want on and off. I have told them several times about that but it has not happened yet. Other than that, my experience with them so far has been totally fine.

    I am happy with Frontpoint. Installing their device was incredibly easy. I couldn't believe how easy it was. We have a previous security system, we had it for 15 years. Their devices were bulkier, has more obvious wires. I assumed it worked, because we just never got broke into. Frontpoint is all wireless. But there has been something wrong with the motion detector and it kept alarming. Every time the heat would come on, no matter where we put that thing, it would alarm. We had to take it out and to put different stuff in. I'm still bummed about that.

    Frontpoint is my first home security provider and I've been using them for over a year. The installation was easy but I had some trouble with the wireless signal in my house. They upgraded two or three of my sensors to the long-range sensors and it was a lot better after that. I use the phone app and web app at certain times and both have worked good. I like everything and have no complaints. At night we have a little more peace of mind knowing we have sensors all over the doors. Their customer service has been really good whenever I called and they deserve some credit for that.

    I have chronic problems with my Frontpoint security device. I live in a 1940 house with lath and plaster walls and I was assured before I bought all the equipment that there would be no problems, their equipment is very versatile, and everything would work. So I ordered the window and door sensors. They work okay on the windows, but none of them would work on the doors. I had to ship them back and they told me I had to get motion detectors. I had a cat at that time and they also said owning a pet would be no problem, but the cat kept setting off all the motion detectors. Frontpoint kept telling me, “Well, can you keep your cat from entering a room?” It didn’t matter where I put them, the cat would trigger them.

    Also, the windows and door sensors would frequently not be connected to the main panel. Then they told me, “Oh, you need long range devices because you have lath and plaster walls.” I had to take them all down, which even though they said that their sticky devices would not mar windows or walls, it did. It tore the plaster off the wall. So then I did have some holes on my wall. I had tried to plaster those, and paint over them, and put up long range sensors, which worked for a while but then those started failing.

    They told me that I had to move my control panel to the dead center of my house because that way everything could point back to the panel with less trouble, which would essentially mean putting it on the top of the stairwell to my basement. But that’s not convenient for me because their default timer only gives you 30 seconds to get to it when you enter a building. So they kept telling me, “Oh, you must have to turn it off with the app outside your house before you come in.” So essentially, I had six false alarms in the first four months of moving it.

    I live in Seattle, Washington, the law is that the Police are not notified. A third party agency that is a security company is notified and they come out and secure the perimeter. The company that they work with is based about an hour and a half north of me. So sometimes I would literally come home from work because I was getting this notification there was an alarm, and I would beat the security agent to my house. So I would have to be the one to secure the perimeter and make sure there was no intruder.

    I called Frontpoint and said, “I need you to find me a company that’s closer.” Well, they never had anyone that was closer. There was only one option for a security company. They said that they would talk with them and try to get them to be more responsive. I have stopped using the alarm entirely because I recently had a baby and I'm home all day. It's a complicated system. I don’t think a nanny or a babysitter can even figure it out because it has been giving my husband and me chronic trouble. I don’t really know if I'll keep it.

    I've been using Frontpoint as my home security provider for about a year now. I use their interactive features all the time and it is nice. Also my interactions with Frontpoint's customer service have been good. The only problem is that the garage sensors are not good enough and they tend to go off for no reason. I've been trying to pull them on but they remain a big problem. So, I had a few false alarm the first few months with the police going there for no reason. Sp now, I have uninstalled them because they don't work.

It's easy to use, and I like the fact that I could be away and still see the place. However I got the keychain remote and it doesn't work well. That's only my pet peeve of the because I know that my friends who have ADT could be outside of the house and use the keychain to disarm the machine. But with mine, I have to be right next to the machine in order to disarm it with the keychain.

    Installing my Frontpoint device was easy. The online help was good. I got it because it was a requirement for insurance. I didn't have a reliable internet connection but I had to have one that was cell based because I also didn't have a hard line phone in the building. Frontpoint is a much less expensive solution that one can get if they already have internet connectivity. I typically turn the system on and off with my phone instead of the main pad and that was a requirement for me. I got the system at a remote site and I need to be able to remotely arm or disarm it if I have a delivery being made there.

    I've used the system for about a year. I set the alarm off a few times by accident and the team at Frontpoint was good and helpful. There was one time when something wasn't working with the system and they were able to help me easily. My concern would be the points of entry. All the doors are covered, but there's always the chance that somebody could get in through a window, so I don't see how the system helps in that regard. People want to protect their homes, but I live alone so I was more interested in being protected when I'm here alone, but I don't necessarily set the alarm when I'm home because it's too easy to go out a door and set it off. So, the system is a little different than what I expected, but I like it anyway.

    I searched the web for the security system with the highest customer ratings and reliability, and Frontpoint came up as one of the top-rated. Installation was very simple. The packaging came with very easy-to-use instructions, and the customer service 800-number was very accessible. However, our garage door does not line up with the doorjamb so they didn't activate that part for me. They put it on hold, but they went ahead and activated my whole system so at least all the other perimeters were safe for me. They sent out another adhesive that was a little bit higher so that it would line up with that magnet, so that when we shut the door, the sensor would line up and it ended up working.

    I also have a camera that I wanted to activate and use but we’ve never even taken it out of the box. It came with our initial package. When I ordered the product, it was pretty well described as far as where we're going to want to put it. I asked if it was wireless and was told that it was. But, there's a breakdown in communication as far as the transmission is wireless but the actual device has to be plugged in and powered. The problem is we don't have anywhere that we can plug it in and use it, because the only place where we would gain visibility has no outlet and we can't run a cord for it. We can't drill a hole on the wall and gain power for it. So now I'm stuck with a device that I haven't been able to use for over a year but it's part of my billing. However, that's the only thing I'm not happy with.

    Now, we're in a dispute with LAPD because they are charging me for a false alarm situation, which shouldn't have happened. That's the only thing that's frustrating.     Installation was very easy, but I had a couple of issues with some door sensors, and it was getting it aligned properly. So once I figured that out, the system was fine. I had one problem with the main unit, and resolving it was easy to do over the phone. Everything's been great. A couple of times, I've had to call, and every time, my question got answered and solved pretty quickly. Plus, I've used the app quite a bit; my wife does as well because I use the Geo-location, so I'm away and forget to do the arming the device, then I get notified with a text and then I know to arm the device remotely. So, that interactive feature was really useful. Frontpoint is a good way to go. I've been really happy, and I definitely like them much better than my previous provider.

    Considering that I installed it myself, it seemed like it would've been a little bit cheaper for the equipment. They always tell you'd get the discount. And basically, you get the full system at $99. Then you get the three-year contract from Frontpoint, and then the monthly monitoring might be $5 less. So it still didn't make it quite easier. But overall, it gives me peace of mind, and I'm satisfied with them.

    Frontpoint looked a little fresher than some of the other security providers and they had really good reviews. Installing the device was just like they said it would be. It was easy and whenever we had to call or do anything, their customer service is really good. We had to change some of our sensors a couple of times. We needed a long range sensor and what we had was just a short-range sensor. We called Frontpoint and they sent a shipping label. We just swapped it out and it didn’t cost anything. They were everything I expected them to be.

    We also use their interactive feature all the time. We have the app (which we find handy), and every time we leave, we arm the system through our phone. Part of our building that we have is a recording studio. We also live there and we can’t hear if somebody’s there. Anybody can come in without us knowing. Frontpoint is our only notification that people are there. It helps us sleep at night a little bit more. We also have our smoke detectors through them. It is good to have that feeling that we would know if something were to happen.

    I previously had ADT. But I don't have a landline, and they told me that I'd be fine without it, and as it turned out, I wasn't. After six months with them, they told me that I needed to buy something for my system, and that I was actually not secured for the past six months. So I cancelled that, went with Frontpoint, and they've been great. They got what I needed when ADT didn’t and so I was very happy. Installing the system was easy, but I had an issue with one of the contact fields. So, I talked to a service representative, and he was courteous and got it taken care of. We have the app feature to arm and disarm the system, but I've been wanting to take that off because we just arm and disarm it from the control panel. I don't see the need for that feature, and I don't want to pay a little bit more for the app feature. Other than that, I like Frontpoint and would recommend them.
