    We've had Frontpoint for our restaurant business since December. They've been great. If there's an alarm they always call, but they don't keep calling because I'm sure someone realizes it's my knucklehead employees that set off the alarm and don't shut it off right away. Sometimes they forget to arm it so I arm it at 2 AM from my phone and it's great that I can do that. Also, I use the device to see what's going on in our restaurant. I turn the cameras on and my employees know I'm watching, so they keep their funny business at a minimum.

    We had a rush of burglaries in our neighborhood that's why I put Frontpoint in. I installed the device very easily. A couple of times when my kid came home and didn't shut the alarm off, the Frontpoint team called. Then over a year ago during the time people were breaking into houses on our road, our front door was opened while I was in a football game and they again called. I left the game and the police responded but nobody was in the house. The Frontpoint app works great. When I leave, I'd stillI know my last kid is leaving at a certain time and that the alarm got set. Having the Frontpoint system gives me peace of mind.

    Jessica and I have had Frontpoint since we moved in last October. Installation was very easy. The only problem was we were having a little bit of signaling error issues on the one back door. We kept having that problem where the back door wouldn't completely shut, and wasn't reading as it was shutting. After Frontpoint trying to send one signal out, they fixed the back door. They said the signal was a little receded, so they decided to send the bigger device outside, that fixed the problem, and we've never had any issues since. The team was very nice, and easy-going. Plus, I can be on the way to go out, set the system on my PIN, go to my smartphone and turn it on there, so the app is a nice feature to have. We love Frontpoint, they're there all the time.

    What prompted us to get a security system was a gentleman in our neighborhood who was followed and shot in his home. We thought we were happier and felt more secure when we had an alarm system before at our previous location so we decided to go back to having one. We shopped around a bit and thought that Frontpoint had the flexibility and the features that we wanted, plus it's cheaper than ADT, which we had used before. I like the fact that Frontpoint has the app to arm and disarm the security system. It is a big bonus. We had to make use of it when we were traveling and had to allow somebody into the house, who didn't know how to use an alarm system. The app worked great.

    I had Brinks and ADT back and forth, and Frontpoint is as good. I like the fact that they don't have thousands of miles of wire going through my house. The only problem with it is that I have a neighbor who takes care of my animals. She's older and cannot get the hang of the system. I also hadn't even used the system in the months that I was a bit at home. She says the system warned up a couple of times. So I told her to not use it. Other than that, installation of my Frontpoint system was really easy. Once the system got put in, I called up, a team member walked me through the whole thing, and it's great. In addition, the interactive features work better than I expected. Frontpoint is a nice unit and always acts like it's doing something.

    Frontpoint's installation and ordering were easy and all questions were answered. However, trying to contact them to order potentially additional pieces to our home security system was very difficult, I really don't know where to go. I tried multiple times to get in touch with somebody and I've been told that they need to patch me through to someone else then the call ends up being disconnected. We still have the original starting pieces that we ordered but we wanted some additionals. The customer service as far as adding on or changing has not been what we expected. But everything else as far as service of the actual equipment has been good. I also like their app a lot.

    Originally went to Alarm.com and couldn't find a system with them. I found Frontpoint and they had all the things I was looking for my office, so I went ahead with it. I have a computer company, so installing it was pretty simple. But we've had a lot of problems with the equipment. They had to send a new control panel twice. And then they updated their firmware and I had another problem, so we had to re-update. It's been a nightmare. The app is very handy especially when one of my people take off and forget to set the alarm, and I can set it at home. I feel more secure having Frontpoint installed because this particular neighborhood had never hired staff on security. We have ADT at home and one of these days I'm going to call Frontpoint to find out what kind of a price difference they can make me for that.

    Installation was straightforward. What was really good was Frontpoint's customer service when I called them to register the system. They walked me through it and were helpful. It depends on the size of the system, but in my case it took about 45 minutes for them to walk me through, step by step, on what I needed to do and how to set up each device for the doors and screen, and the panel. I had to run up and down the stairs all the time to try to set things up and they were patient with me. They weren't rushed. It was a good experience. I use the application on my phone. I can see photographs that the system is taking inside the house, so it's easy for me to check up on things and I know what's going on. The house is under construction, so it's been useful to know who's in the house and who isn't. It’s very good.

    I installed the Frontpoint device myself and had a wonderful interaction with the Frontpoint guys. They were knowledgeable, kind, professional, punctual and readily available. I mainly use the Frontpoint app which has been good. I also have a monitors and sometimes I receive errors that pop out but I can fix those. I'm thinking of adding more devices, like a camera, and sensors in the windows but would do it later down the road. I wish they added more features in the package because people can find peace through a security system.

    A coworker told me about Frontpoint and I've been using them for about a year and a half now. I've called customer service a couple of times and they were cordial and helped me set up. Installing the device was fairly self-explanatory. Also, the interactive features are very helpful and convenient. But I do have concerns about cost and the three-year contract. It's a concern when they have competitors who don't have contracts and who charge a third of the cost monthly.

    I was out of state working when I purchased the house, so my mom and her friends were there to set everything up. There have been a few times when I've had an alarm get tripped by something and within two minutes I get a phone call immediately asking questions. So they're punctual. I have the app on my iPhone. It works out, and it's so handy. I like that it's so interactive as far as being a real time notification.     I've had ADT before, but having smartphones with apps is a little bit of an advantage with Frontpoint. I prefer using that and would never go back to any other way. Installing the device was easy and the team was helpful. However, there was an issue with the motion sensors and they don't seem to know how to tell me over the phone where to put it so that it won't go off. It was a little difficult over the phone, so I gave up and I'm not sure if they could come out and help. Other than that, having the system definitely gives me more peace of mind.

    The Frontpoint base unit has a feature where it could be used as a picture display. It’s supposed to be a disguising feature for the head unit and it doesn’t work. Customer service told me about this certain size that’s supposed to be on the SD little card. I went on my Mac and modified it to below their standards and it still didn’t work. Price-wise, I also wish it was cheaper per month. But being able to control the system was a nice feature, especially when they did the update and changed it around a little bit.

When we went after I put everything up and they had to make sure they were all operational, a lady was very helpful and the experience went pretty easy. I haven't had to worry about the alarms.     We got Frontpoint with our house. It's a simple system and easy to install. When a false alarm happened, their people were responsive. I turned the alarm off and they called and checked with me to make sure that it was me that cut it off. The only way I arm the system is through my phone which is convenient. The only thing I didn't like is they didn't give me a lot of contact for windows. But other than that, it's a good system.

    Installing Frontpoint's system was easy and the only difficulty was finding the best place to put all the little cameras. One day I forgot to turn the code off when I locked the door and I can't remember my password. I got a phone call and the lady on the phone said, "Well, if I try one and that's not it that would be too late." I said, "We'll try it. I think it's this, but I'm not sure whether it was that." And then, the police arrived five minutes later and everything was okay.

    We live in a little rural farm town in the middle of nowhere. There's very little crime. However, we remodelled our house to have the business in, so stuff could go on in that portion and we would just not really know especially when we go to bed for the night since it's too far away. So we wanted some sort of system for our small home business. We couldn't decide which one is better, but my daughter, who lives down in Texas, had Frontpoint and she referred us. They gave my daughter a free month for that, which is nice. The installation was quick and easy. When I first signed up I wish there wasnt a contract, but it didn't keep me from getting at the other contender even though they didn't have a contract because of my daughter's endorsement.

    We had a local security contractor who has an older hardwired system. Our home is an older Victorian home so to run wires from where the phone line enters would be really expensive and hard to do. So the wireless system is really problem-free since the phone goes out occasionally. We have a motion sensor and my husband tripped on it once, so we knew that it works because the chances of it ever really being disturbed by a burglar is just so small here.

    Later on, we had an issue with the little sensor when the door moved. Their customer service was excellent. They talked us through and got it working again. Then the alarm was going off randomly on its own because the door we had applied it to were not close enough and it shifted a little bit and they helped us figure that out. It's been trouble-free since then. They were very friendly, professional and they were knowledgeable about what it was I was asking.

    I could easily get up and walk the 10 feet over to the console, but it does this rocket launch beeping. It counts down and gets faster for over 30 seconds. Then when using the app, it just beeps one time. Also, when I have gone up to retire for the night on our sleeping rooms upstairs and forgotten to put it on, I can just grab my phone and turn it on without having to go back down. We usually have someone at home when we leave the house, but for instance everybody happens to be gone for the entire day, we can turn it on from wherever we are and not worry about it. Then if I was leaving my teens at home and they went to bed for the night, I know that the police would come right away if there was a problem and they would be safe too.

    The device was easy and very straightforward to install. We had very little interaction from the Frontpoint team and that was when we needed help with the setup, and they were very helpful. Everything seemed to be perfect. We know doors are locked and things are set right. The app is great and simple to use. We've had two instances of false alarms. The first time was back in December when the image sensor apparently fell down by itself. Frontpoint called us when we were overseas and sent the police. Everything was okay.

    The second false alarm was last month and we were also outside the country. Frontpoint tried to reach us at 4 o'clock in the morning when we had an alarm from the garage door, however, they couldn't reach us. Nothing else happened after that and I expected them to follow up with us or send the police. But we haven’t talked to Frontpoint and they haven’t communicated to us. When I came back home and checked, everything seemed to be okay.

    We had no real problems installing the Frontpoint device. Just a little bit of fine tuning and I called for some advice on it, but it was not difficult at all. I talked to the salesperson to begin with, and he was very helpful and knowledgeable in terms of putting the package together. I've had about four phone calls with the contact phone number since it's been installed, for various reasons. They've all been as responsive as I had hoped, so I'm happy with that. It'd be nice if it was a lot cheaper, but so far I'm happy.

    The people we bought the house from had Frontpoint installed there so we took over the system. We had hiccups along the way with a few sensors when we set the system up but other than that, it was an easy process.     We're always wired before and Frontpoint is the first one that is not wired. I liked using its interactive features. But there are times that the door wouldn't close when it was closed. So they sent me a new monitor and everything seems to be working a lot better now. Their customer service is good.     I never really wanted a home security provider. But I decided to, given where I was. I'm on a three-level townhome with only one other unit attached to me. It seemed fine. I don't need to have any type of theft protection on the second or third floors. So, it's just the bottom floor and the smoke. I did some research. There's a lot of negative reviews about getting embedded with CPI and other stuff, and I've never seen anybody used it. Then Frontpoint came up. I noticed that I can install the device myself.

    I worked with the sales rep back and forth. Then I had a cat which had a pretty tricky issue for motion detectors so we stopped using the little sensor that senses the breakage of a glass from a window. The customer service had been fine as well. The guy only called once to clarify a certain operation on the panel and I got a straightforward answer. It's been pretty hassle-free. I also use the app all the time and it's the main way I do it. That's huge and a big selling point they have. I'd be looking for somebody who did that. However, there's a certain fee when you get the little sign replaced. I find them on a huge percentage of the deterrent. But Frontpoint does what it does and there's been no real issue here or there. I've recommended it to a few others.

However, if I had to design my own, I want something that notifies me before people get in the house. I also want to have some kind of a beeping thing so that when they come through the front door, they got to double ought buckshot load. Frontpoint's system is worthless to me because with the way people are today, somebody would kick your front door then he'll be in the bedroom within ten seconds at the most and you're asleep. I've got guns in the cabinet and by the time, I can't even get the sheets off before he's in the bedroom. It doesn't protect you and you're going to be dead in the end. But it's a great system for what it does if that's all that you want.

    We had quite a bit of trouble when we were installing our device. We had to replace several units twice because they weren't functioning. But the people at Frontpoint were all willing to help with anything. Right now, I'm having a really bad experience with Frontpoint. We can't turn on the security system for our front door, which is not good. What it does is when I turn on the security, it would say that the front door is malfunctioning. We have done everything to adjust it and it still malfunctions and if you keep pressing it, it will say that the door is locked and everything is fine. It can't just revert to "everything is fine." We've had more problems than I thought we would have. But when it works it works, but I'm a little aggravated that we have to keep going back to these issues with it. So in general, we're happy with it.

    I have a problem with my Frontpoint security device. It doesn't work well. I know I paid for everything but the sensors in my back door, window, kitchen, and front door are faulty.     I have used other security providers with other homes. I bought Frontpoint because my daughter has this and she's liked it. It is interesting that we can add on things like videos, video cameras and the like. But I've been having problems with the sensors and I've had the cops out to my house three times on false alarms. One was our fault when we left the door ajar. My wife and I went for a movie so I had to turn off my phone. Frontpoint called me but I wasn't able to get their call.

    Their responsiveness to alarms is working the way it's supposed to, but I would like to see more proactive solution on the equipment problem. I talked to somebody at Frontpoint because I can't tolerate having the cops come again ‘cause the next time is 150 bucks. Frontpoint deactivated one of the three sensors and recommended that I send it in, get credit and buy individual window sensors since this is a porch with lots of windows. I haven't done that yet. So this is still unresolved at this point even though the company has acknowledged that it's probably a defective sensor. What should have happened is somebody should have said, "Let us send you one. Go ahead and set it up. When you send the other one back then we'll take care of it somehow." But that's not what happened. So, I am disappointed in that. We travel a lot during summer, which is when you need the protection when you're gone.

    I moved into my house August of last year. Some local reps on ADT sold heavily on me and they were throwing in all the bells and whistles they could to try to get me on with them. I researched and found out that Frontpoint offered more flexibility and had better ratings for providing the same monitored service even though it was going to cost me more out of pocket upfront to get onboard with them. I signed up and I installed their security device which is easy, but some plans need some revisions like one of the doors that I did not install at the time of the original install.

    I like that I can control the system through my iPhone and Apple watch. If I forget to set the alarm and at 8:30 am I’m already at work, it will send me a text notification saying my system is disarmed and then give me a chance to arm it. Also, anytime I’m dealing with their staff like phone calls for false alarms, they’re always cordial and easy to work with.

    I've had Frontpoint in my first home for 10 months. When I installed it the instruction said that I ask a person, called someone, and they walked me through over the phone. But without them I could have done it on my own. There was one time I left the house and had an alarm and they were quick to call me to make sure everything was okay. Having the app works out very well because a lot of times my wife left the house without setting the alarm and I can check it while I'm at work and just go ahead and do it versus getting home. Also, I like the key panel. Sometimes I couldn't touch the screen and it's slow to react to my touch, but that's not a big deal.

    The only hiccup I have had is there was a time the software was out of date and my lawyer said I wasn't communicating with them and it gave me an alert on the system but no one called me. I got an email a week or two later. So, I had a whole week without having any security. But once I called them they got everything updated.

    We just bought a new house in North Carolina. After researching a number of security companies, I decided to install Frontpoint equipment. Two deciding factors were: (1) my in-laws had used Frontpoint and were very pleased, (2) EVERY review I read praised their customer service. Now I know why their customer service is so good. BECAUSE THEIR EQUIPMENT IS AVERAGE AT BEST.

    Alex ** sold me the equipment. I emailed him and told him the equipment COULD NOT ARRIVE PRIOR TO 23 SEPTEMBER. We settled on the new house on 9/22 and arrived the morning of 9/23. Found my box of equipment on the front porch. Soaked. It had rained all night. After setting the equipment up (which took much longer than the advertised 30 minutes), spent a long time on the phone diagnosing a bad, defective glass break sensor. The next day, I tried to set-up two indoor cameras. The help sheet they send with the cameras makes it sound very easy. It took me over an hour on the phone with Chris to get them set up. The next day's project was to install the doorbell camera. Did so but the app told me my wifi signal wasn't strong enough and that I should install an extender. The next day, bought and installed an extender. Doorbell would not recognize the new network.

    On the phone, again, with customer service. For over an hour. Come to find out the doorbell camera is defective and won't pick the extender signal. The new glass break sensor has now arrived and must be installed. I do so but the system tells me it's in tamper mode. Again, another phone call. This time, we are able to resolve the problem. I have yet to install the exterior camera I purchased because I'm fairly certain I'll be on the phone for the better part of a day with customer service. I have 14 sensor/devices. Two of them have been defective. 15% defects. Over two hours on the phone talking about bad equipment plus about 30 minutes on the phone to activate the system. And I've been told at least a dozen times to make sure I get the bad equipment sent back within 30 days OR I'LL BE CHARGED FOR THE REPLACEMENT EQUIPMENT. I'm really not very pleased with Frontpoint.

    It's been two years since I started using Frontpoint. Every time I call, a question has always been answered very promptly and it's been great. I used ADT before but I couldn't take the system with me when I moved because it stayed with the house. I also did my research and I found out that Frontpoint was one of the top five security in Phoenix. And I checked out the other four and they all stayed with the house. With Frontpoint, I get the same service as I did with ADT for less and the system's portable. When I sold my house, I packed it up, moved, then I called them and asked for new sensors. They sent the new sensors, we put them in and reactivated the system. I love it. We replaced the sensors because in Phoenix we can't just take them off and re-put them on because the glue is too weak then because of the heat level especially on the windows.

    My son installed the system easily and we were also able to put one of the sensors on the doggy door. Believe it or not, a burglar tried to come in through it when I was home. He realized it and tried something. The alarm went off and I started kicking in the door. The cops were here so fast and they even had a helicopter here. I'm disabled so I don't move so well with my legs. But I was able to get to the glass door. I knew he was still at the other door so I opened it and my dogs charged after that. I told them the word, they knew to attack and that man cleared a nine or ten-foot block fence. Now everything has the sensor, no matter what it is, and that alarm is set whether we're home or not. I've bragged about it to my neighbors and a couple of them have bought it too. I also keep a sign in the front yard. I'm one of the few on the block that has Frontpoint while the other idiots have ADT.

    My wife was sold on the idea that the Frontpoint technology meant that a home security was wireless so no phone lines could be cut to stop the system from working by an intruder. So we got it and I installed the security device easily. I simply stuck the devices where I wanted them and then called them. And over the phone, we tested each one of them. It took about 20 minutes and it worked. Also, every time I call Frontpoint for any issues, they're nice, friendly and very knowledgeable.

    What we really liked about it is being able to activate and deactivate it with our mobile phones. We use the remote light switch feature to turn on and off the lights when we’re not home. We’ve got a thermostat that we’re going to couple with it so that we can adjust the temperature in the rooms without getting out of our chairs. I’ve seen other systems where they have a little box, a number pad next to every door, and that would annoy me if I had them all over my house. With Frontpoint, I like their interface and simply having one central control panel with the ability to control every aspect of it on my phone is a real selling point. There have been a couple of burglaries in the area. We’re happy that we have the Frontpoint sign in the front yard. We set the security system every night and we’ve accidentally set it off ourselves, so we know it’s working. If we didn’t have anything, we would feel less secure.     Frontpoint came highly rated when I was looking online for a security system. Installing the device took me minutes to complete since it was a very simple process. If you know how to read, it's pretty easy to put it together. I live in an area that is top in the hills. So, I know it works off the signal. It wasn't working very good when I first got it. I got an extender through Verizon and it seemed to work better. As far as service goes, I haven't had any issues. However, the only reason why I would not rate them a 5 is because the main piece of equipment was a little down on the cheap side. We haven't had to use them yet but hopefully, if anyone decides to break in my house, Frontpoint's customer service will be good.

    Frontpoint had some of the better reviews that were out there and it was a wireless system like everything else is now. The door systems and motion sensors were very easy to install. The video sensor that took pictures was harder to get right because the distance between the sensor and the base station didn't work as well as I had hoped.

    The main weakness that I see in the system is that it does not have a strong enough signal to go throughout the house. I had to move sensors because they couldn't reach the base station. But I'm not going to move them again because they tore out a piece of the wall when I took them off of it. They said the system will work well within 100 feet with no obstacles but you can't help that in a house where you have walls. And we have neighbors with other brands of systems that can reach much further. So my only disappointment with the system is that it doesn't have a big enough range for the transmission system. And they didn't offer any sort of a booster capability like Wi-Fi boosters for a home. But my wife feels a bit more secure with it.

    I ended up returning the system to FrontPoint after two weeks. It took several weeks to receive "no questions asked" refund. Glad I had the chance to try the system for 30 days. In this case, the system did not meet my needs.

    I am still in my 30-day free trial at 49.99 per month monitoring. Have had to make many calls to support about issues. Instructions for installing sensors easy to follow but no user manual or information on website about setting up notifications and other customizations in myFrontPoint.com. I selected "push" messages for notifications but not clear what that was. I was unable to remotely look at my security system or arm/disarm unless mobile data turned on using part of my data plan. Spent hour with support to change all of my notifications from PUSH to SMS messaging. Works great now. I receive SMS text messages for notifications I want but must use data or WiFi to remotely arm/disarm or view sensor status. (I do not ever use public WiFi).

    The constant chirp on door openings very irritating and my dog hates it. Was able to set volume to 1 so don't hear chirp anymore. I arm silently after going out and locking door using app over my own WiFi network. Disarm before unlocking door to enter so no annoying beeps and no false alarms. Rarely use control panel.

    The doorbell camera with motion detection useless. Hard to install and add to WiFi network. It is too big (3") for molding around door frame where existing doorbell was (just 1"). So I created a custom spacer/backer to put between mounting plate and door frame. Then unable to sync to my WiFi using app on Samsung Galaxy 7 edge. Multiple resets, power cycling failed to solve it. Spent an hour with support repeating same procedures with same failure. Finally tried syncing using my older Samsung 10.2 Tablet 2014 edition and succeeded.

    But camera totally inadequate for home security. No instructions except installation and syncing. Nothing on how to use it. I tested ringing doorbell myself. Only my chest was visible in video (no face) and I am just 5 feet tall. A person could trigger motion detector and crouch down close to door and you can't see person using camera and app. The doorbell camera lens is not adjustable so limited to the point of view from doorbell position. I had to be at least 7 feet away from door to see my face. Camera has 180 degree wide angle horizontal view but vertical view extremely limited.

    The doorbell camera connects to WiFi on extremely crowded 2.4Ghz WiFi band and only 802.11 b and g mode (not n or AC). The slower b/g modes has to compete with all faster nearby WiFi routers on 2.4Ghz band. (There are 40+ WiFi networks in my neighborhood on 2.4Ghz band all competing for limited bandwidth.) So my doorbell camera was unable to connect to my WiFi network in response to motion detected in reasonable amount of time and dropped off network completely. App kept giving error message that camera not found. Never received any notifications as events never got to my WiFi network.

    Doorbell camera is easily stolen by person outside by just unscrewing a set screw. And could place hand or object over lens so see nothing on video. I have sent camera back to Frontpoint as totally useless as security device. Frontpoint says no refund on $189 device. I will only get equipment purchase refund if send entire system sent back before end of 30 day trial.

    In summary, the biggest problem is lack of user manual or instructions to use app or website for settings on notifications. The result is many phone calls to support and many hours first few days learning how to actually use app or set-up notifications. Support always polite and patient but not sufficiently knowledgeable about using the system. I haven't had any alarms so cannot say anything about response time.

    Installing it was not super easy, but I called them and they helped me do that. I got Frontpoint because my husband passed away and wanted my three kids and I to be more secure. But things go wrong with it all the time. I know they can tell that it's not being armed, but constantly it's telling me that one monitor is offline then it's back online. And then the little things fell off the door casing and get lost, so now I currently need one downstairs. They've already sent me one sensor and it got lost on the front door, but now the back door has got one that fell off. Also, it's constantly telling me the back doors are offline and to fix it downstairs I got to have two people here, because then I hear the monitor makes the doors open and close and they have a different line and I haven't used it in probably six months.

    I have a family member that had Frontpoint, and I also did some online research and they were doing really high on review websites and some blogs, so I went with them.     After reading all the reviews, I guess I am one of only a handful of new customers that is frustrated with the activation and installation of this security system. Frontpoint support team has been exceptional! No complaints there and I am sure the service is exceptional if only I could get it to work properly. My wife and I are being patient despite having ordered the product and service two weeks ago, getting it shipped snail mail and now experiencing connectivity problems with panel, panel experiencing glitch and doorbell camera not syncing with my WiFi.

    I am now having to purchase 12V extension cords for my two wireless cameras. I am purchasing a router extender because the signal strength to my door camera is weak. I am willing to do this because of threats I received from family members that have prompted me to invest in this home security system for my family's safety and evidence. I will probably keep this service despite these problems.

    Frontpoint has more security features to offer and what I need than my previous service was able to provide. At first, it seemed I was only going to invest approx. $240 because of what I was told that everything would be compatible with their system. Unfortunately for me, it wasn't and have now invested over $900 (including cameras). I wish they had on-site techs to come out and install, it would have made life easier for me and my wife. It has been two weeks and still don't have a fully functioning system. With all the positive reviews I see on here; if true, I wish that were me. If this consumer review site wants validity, please contact Frontpoint and use my contact information I have provided to look up the status of my work order because I was not given a work order number.

    The installation of my Frontpoint system wasn't difficult. I did it, myself. However, the volume turns up and down by itself. I noticed that when I would set the volume on it, I won't know where it'd get very loud. So there were little issues and defects in the functionality of the volume, but other than that, I didn't notice anything. I wasn't aware though that I was locked into a three-year program. When I called and tried to decrease it, they said I wasn't allowed to do that.

    I used a different provider before and they were faster than Frontpoint in getting to responses with things. The alarm went off one time and it never registered correctly on their servers which was kind of a fluke. They freaked out about that when I explained it to them and they didn't believe me until I had them go to the log to find it. But I like the customization of Frontpoint more and their reps have been helpful. In the end it boils down to the wireless system. I'm not a fan and I'd love to have a wired version of Frontpoint but I don't know if that even exists. The biggest thing for me is that it helps my wife. I could care less if I have a German Shepherd that's trained to kill things. It doesn't bother me at all. But my wife can obviously sleep whenever I travel since we got Frontpoint.

    I found Frontpoint online, and as I compared products, it seemed that it was the one for the needs that we had. The installation was no problem. It was very easy. It took under an hour overall just to position the sensors and figure out how to initiate the system. So far, my experience has been good. The ease of use is the most remarkable bit about it. We've only had one false alarm, and they were very responsive. Their support has been good.

    We have a two-family unit. Our home is in a building that is two apartments; my mother-in-law lives in one and we live in the other. When I set the system up, I put it up to cover both units, but there's a door between the two which is open frequently. So we haven't been able to really use the system fully. We only use it when everybody is gone. And frequently my mother is home when we're not. When we're gone away, we feel more secure in leaving our home. When we go on vacation, we implement it and it has given us some peace of mind. It has given me confidence that our property is more protected than it was before.

    I had ADT before but we switched because they required that we have a landline with the system. At one point, our landline had been cut off and ADT wasn’t monitoring our home during that time. When we moved to a new house, we did a little research and a lot of our neighbors have the Frontpoint sign in front of their houses. Additionally, Frontpoint can work through your cellphone and you can install it yourself. That seemed a lot easier. During the installation, we couldn’t get the sensors to work because we have an oddly-shaped door. Their customer service line was really good. We called the number they gave us and the rep was happy to help us figure out a way to get the sensor to work. We haven’t had any problems with it and have been using the system for about a year.

    The main thing that we were looking for in a security service was something we could install ourselves and the security box that Frontpoint has is supposed to be effective even if it's smashed so that was a main factor for us as well. The device was very simple and easy to install and I set it up by myself. It only took me about 15 to 20 minutes. We have had a lot of their sensors that have fallen off or don't always trigger accurately so we had a little trouble with that over the past year. We only called a few times and their reps have always been very responsive, helpful and solved our issues right away.

    We do everything with our system from our phone and it's very convenient. We travel a lot so it's really nice. My mom will check on our plants or our trash sometimes and I can arm and disarm the system from another state or from wherever. We feel more secure since we got Frontpoint especially if we're not home. We don't always arm it during the day if we leave for short amounts of time but the overnight and the longer times away from home, it's been nice to have that ability to know that things are taken care of and secure.

    Installing Frontpoint's system was fine, however, the basic kit that I bought didn't contain enough units to cover the entire ground floor, so I had to buy more of them. The price that they charged for every additional unit was extremely high and I was stuck with that. And a couple of times, I had to deal with their reps, like when the system failed one time at two o'clock in the morning. There was nothing evidently wrong and it was never clear why the system had a fault, but it could have been somebody trying to get into the house. I was out of town that time and the police came but they didn't find anything. And when I got on and looked at it, I could never figure it out as there were no windows opened.

    I've been using Frontpoint for about a year and I use their mobile app to activate and to deactivate the system, which is a fine feature. We live in a very safe neighborhood but I turn on the system when I go out of town for a day or two. On the whole, I like Frontpoint and I'd recommend it, but I'd mention about the basic kit not containing enough units and the additional price of buying more.

Once I got everything put where I wanted it to be, I called their reps and we got everything logged in, which devices were on which windows and doors. And then after I had initially gotten everything hooked up, there was a couple of items that I really wasn’t crazy about and they were really awesome at taking the devices back that I really didn’t care for, and switched them out for the ones I did like.     Frontpoint is a different system altogether. My older system was a strictly wired environment, while Frontpoint has got other features to it and works wirelessly. So, in general, I like it better than what I had. The mobile thing is good too, if I ever pick myself up and want to move, I could take the system with me. Furthermore, the customer service has been very good thus far. We had a couple of problems with one of the display units that acted as another entrance and exit point to the garage. It was working fine initially, but then it became inoperable and wasn't communicating properly. So, we replaced it recently and it's been working perfectly.

    The system is fairly easy to install. Some of the adhesives were working, but a couple of times, I found some of the devices, especially the glass breakage, fell down and had to be replaced because it broke as it fell and hit the ground. If there was an alternative to have it screwed in some time more permanently to avoid that from happening. But the fact that it's a mobile thing is good too. If I ever wanna move, I could take the system with me.

    I've had Monitronics before, and I told them I moved and their system has hardwired so I couldn't take it with me, but they are still charging me up to this day. They are still giving me a bad time about it, so I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. And then I signed up when I moved here in July for XFINITY Homes Security, and it didn't work so I got rid of them before the time was up. So, I looked around and on internet ratings, and at that time, Frontpoint had the #1 rating. My grandson installed it. It took about 15 minutes and he had the whole house done. It was really easy and simple.

    So far, they haven't hassled me. The person I talked to was super nice. He doesn't call and bug me. And every once in a while, they see how I'm doing, and I haven't had any problems. With XFINITY, even though they installed the home security, they didn't give me a sign. I feel very safe with Frontpoint's sign out there and they let me pick my own windows which a lot of the times they tell you which ones to do. So I have three points of entry and feel real protected. Any time I do have a question, they answer it. I can email, text or call them. Overall, it's been wonderful.

    I've been very happy with Frontpoint so far. They had good reviews and I liked that I could install it myself which was as easy as advertised. The rates were very good as well. And while I was on vacation, I was able to arm and disarm the system and it's been great and convenient. However, once or twice, I've had some equipment issues which has been surprising because I've only had them for a year. The sensor doesn't seem to be working at times but maybe that's an isolated incident. I've called them and it took a little bit longer than I expected, and then it just started working again.     We've been using Frontpoint for 14 months now. I was researching online before for home security systems and found them. I spoke to several different services and determined that Frontpoint was the one I wanted to go with. However, installation was terrible. I spent over a month working with a manager to try and resolve all the issues that I experienced in getting this thing set up. It must have been more than 50 emails and telephone calls trying to work out all the problems that I was having with the system.

    After a couple of calls, I reached a manager that I was referred to. He was a true professional, knowledgeable and patient and a wonderful person to work with. Obviously, it was a little disconcerting when it takes more than a month to finally replace at least half a dozen pieces of the equipment. Ultimately, two pieces of the equipment were never going to work.

    In today's society nobody wants to accept responsibility for problems but I never experienced that with Frontpoint. They were apologetic, professional and calm. When pieces of equipment had to be replaced, there was no shipping cost to me. They reacted to the problems and generally wanted to address my issues and I was impressed by that. That's a rare thing. I've been in business myself for 31 years and they provided extraordinary customer service. There was a point that I was going to return the system and go a different route but because the way they reacted to this and the steps they took to resolve the issue, I stuck it out.

    My wife was able to use their interactive features with her phone to check and arm things and she loves it. She loves the fact that she can be sitting 150 miles away and check if the alarm is on. Any security system adds an element of security so I'm happy. So far, I've been impressed with the professionalism of their customer service. They should be very proud of the customer service they deliver. However, the one thing that ultimately may make me consider something else is the fact that they do not have a remote monitor screen. My monitor has to be downstairs right inside the garage door. I need to have a monitor in my bedroom upstairs because we cannot hear the alarm upstairs. We had an incident where the police showed up banging on the door. The alarm had been going off for 30 minutes and I had no idea it was going off.

    We solved that problem with some add-ons that they suggested but what I need to be able to do is to see which alarm is going off. And because we're old, we can't get in the garage and upstairs to disarm the system before the police are called. I've mentioned this last year when I spoke to them and I've never known a security system where we couldn't have a monitor in two different locations in a home.

    I was told that they were looking into that over a year ago. I spoke to a customer service representative recently and there's no indication that they're doing that at all. So when an alarm goes off, I may hear it but I haven't a clue where that person is in the house or how they've entered the house. That's a huge frustration and may be the reason why I'd get rid of my Frontpoint system and get some other service because it's ridiculous. This is not the industry norm and I cannot believe that they cannot or are not actively pursuing the addition of remote monitors for multiple locations in the home.

    We live in an area where we would go away for a three week vacation and not lock the door. So I got Frontpoint for my wife and she feels better and happy with it. Although during the installation, one of the things on the door kept on pulling off because the door and the door jamb were not flushed. There was about one inch gap and it was difficult to get going. It took us three tries. Also, the fire alarm went off today by accident but everything else is good. The customer service was fine, too. I like the system a lot, but it's very expensive. And at that price point, it's costing about $500 a year and I feel maybe it should cost $200 a year. So I don't know if I'll renew it.

    I've been pleased with Frontpoint and we've been using them for a year. A friend told me about them and I decided to go with them because we wanted video. We considered SimpliSafe but video surveillance capabilities weren't part of their offering. Frontpoint installation was very simple and took about 20 minutes. We had a few hiccups later in the game but they were resolved. We had one sensor that failed to communicate with the control panel. At first, they thought it had to do with interference - maybe something sitting in front of the control panel or the location of the control panel and they sent us new door sensors a couple of times. On the third time, they decided to send us a more powerful door sensor and that did the trick.

    I love being able to access and control the system anytime, anywhere because we don't live in Washington, D.C. but that's where we're at now and we are able to monitor and look at our video camera. We have people staying over the weekend and we disarmed it while they were there, disarmed them arriving and armed it when they left and it was great. This is the first time now that we've had a security system that's actually monitored by a couple and we feel good because we live in a calm, quiet area, although not remote. We had a false alarm and the police responded right away so we feel secure.

    When my husband installed Frontpoint, it was a little tricky at first. It had a couple of problems but the reps have been very helpful and knowledgeable, and resolved the problem once we called. I arm and disarm the system from the key fob, although my husband also sets it from the computer. I like the fact that the system tells us what doors are open. We have the water sensors, too, but they came a little flimsy because they can pop in and out of places. We have one in our washer area and it keeps trying to fall out of where it's supposed to be. Also, once the alarm goes off, we can't disarm it from our key fob and I can't quite figure that out. But overall I'm satisfied and I like the features of Frontpoint.

    I went looking for Frontpoint because I had a house in Ohio and we were moving out of state and we were gonna put it up for sale. I decided to go with them because they looked like the best deal. I said to Frontpoint that I didn’t want to be committed necessarily because I may sell this house. They said they'd work with me and they'd be able to take care of it. When they were selling me the deal, they were very friendly. They were good when it came to getting everything straightened around because there were some issues between my fiancé and I as far as everybody talking to different people. My fiancé installed the system without a problem. There was a realtor in the house a couple of times to show the house and I was never notified, so they evidently didn’t have any problems with it.

    I sold the house a year after and Frontpoint said I was responsible for the three-year contract. When I called to cancel it or to see if they would honor what they said, all of a sudden they were abrupt and not very nice. They didn’t care about what they said on the phone as to working with us and because it wasn’t written in the contract, there was nothing I could do about it. So I have a disabled security system that is not in the house because I sold the house. Obviously if it’s not written in concrete nobody’s gonna honor them. So I’m not happy with them. I had them for about nine months and I'm still paying for it because they can’t cancel it. It’s gonna be $900 to cancel the contract, but I’d rather spend $39 a month until it gets down to the point where I can afford to cancel the contract. I thought I did the research on the company enough but I didn’t run into this kind of an issue or I would have never contracted for the three years.

    We got Frontpoint mainly for fire protection and installing the security device was easy and well explained. It also came with real basic instructions. I had easy interactions as well with the Frontpoint team. We had one alert response and they’re quick with that. We use the phone app and it's great. I don't even use the panel on the wall. It's easier to use the phone and it's nice that I can check to see if a door is left open. It'll tell me all those things from the app. I just wish it was easier to order, like add on sensors later if I could do it online. The other odd thing is if I go to the account online, there's no bill. There's nothing to show that would verify that I've had this system installed. Fortunately, my insurance provider didn't ask for one. But when we had it installed, I thought there must be a monthly invoice or something that I can download, and there's none.

    Frontpoint has been our home security service provider since right around last year. I thought the salesperson was quite pushy but then anybody else in between has been fine until we had a faulty sensor not too long ago. The little sensor just ruined about 45 minutes of a family get-together and it will be a story that everybody talks about for the rest of my family's history. A Frontpoint representative was trying to explain that there are only three ways the sensor would be going off right then. However the damn thing was blaring right by me and I would be on fire right then if there was a fire since I was holding the sensor in my hand. Eventually the alarm was turned off but only after talking with 3 different people and 45 minutes of an ear-piercing shrill while my whole family was here, which was not cool. They should be able to shut it off within 5 minutes.

    Frontpoint called when the alarm went off. I told them that there was no fire so they pushed me over to customer service to help figure out how to turn it off. The alarm continued to go off so they continued to get signals, and while I was talking to customer service, I was getting more phone calls from dispatch. It was ridiculous why I had to go through so many hoops to convince them that there was no fire. I'm sure its for liability purposes and they want to be assured. It was really not a cool process and I'm not interested in their services, ever.

    Frontpoint was simple to install although I had some problems with the equipment because I had some out buildings that the signal wasn’t strong enough to reach the panel, so I had to call and get stronger door and window sensors. But other than that, everything else was okay. I've used Frontpoint since last November after my son told me that he had a Frontpoint system put into his shop and liked it. Their price was good and I liked the way the equipment worked.

    Every time I called their team, I got satisfaction. I’ve got the interactive features on my cell phone and I really like it because I can disarm the system as I’m coming down my driveway. I feel a lot better having the system. But I would like to have an external horn, so that when I’m gone my neighbors can hear it.     I now have less worries because of Frontpoint. They have always answered my questions and solved my problems. I usually arm and disarm the device from my cellphone and I don’t have to go home if it goes off. When we got our sensor for our basement it was working fine, but when the cat goes down to the basement, it automatically sets the sensor off. I haven't been able to use that protection for a long time. I've called Frontpoint and discussed moving it across to the other side of the room. I was concerned that it might miss certain areas because the HVAC system is there, but I just need to move it and see if it works. But other than that, once I set up the automatic upgrade, it's been fine. I will never feel 100% secure because of the basement, but I have less worries since having Frontpoint.

    I've always liked having a security system as it makes me feel much better and if we're away for a vacation, somebody would be alerted if somebody broke in. We had thought of having a system that was hard-wired because it might be easier to disable, but then the wires may get clipped. We have used ADT before, which is hard-wired, at another location but we can't move the system with us. We wanted a system that we could take with us if we wanted to move and Frontpoint is wireless, so we could do that.

    With Frontpoint, I had to do the setup on my own while ADT did all the work then during installation which was easier. But Frontpoint has the installation process well-programmed. They sent instruction, talked to me on the phone and walked me through it though we didn't understand it when we first got it. When I put in the little pieces on the doors, I had to put the big piece on the door and a small piece on the jamb. However, I couldn't put it where we normally would because the piece was too big for the space where we want to put the jamb. We had to put them on four doors up which was in a very visible spot in order to fit. So, we had to paint them to match our doors and so they would look less noticeable. Also, we had to go to the police department to set the system up with them. There was a bit more work than we thought there would be and we're seniors and not as savvy as younger people are.

    With Frontpoint's wireless system, it is active even when the alarm is not "set". So, we could be doing nothing with the door and all of a sudden it chirps. We got used to it happening once a day or every other day but at least we knew it's working. Then the control box quit working so they sent us a new one. We went through the rigmarole to set the new one up as wireless systems are complicated, but since having it, the chirping had stopped, which was nice because I was tired of it.

    We also figured out that as Frontpoint was wireless, this also had some effect on the smoke alarms, which went off for no reason. That's because there is power coming to the Frontpoint system all the time unlike with ADT where I don't even know the alarm system is there unless I set it. But the smoke alarm issue hasn't happened for at least ten months now so I feel that's fixed as well. We're doing fine with the system now and everybody in the Frontpoint team has been polite and helpful. I'd recommend Frontpoint and would tell people that it's a good system though I would also mention that they need to do the work themselves.

    I had ADT prior to Frontpoint and their services are comparable. They're essentially the same thing and perform the same service but the difference is with the level of customer service. Frontpoint is more proactive and is overall a better experience than ADT. Also, installation was incredibly easy, but since I design and manage very large security systems for air force assets, I'm probably not the typical consumer. I've set rules in the interactive features and home automation like command off and automatically come on if I disarm after a certain time so I've gotten deep into the features that are available. I've had the system for about nine months now and I have and would definitely recommend them.

    Installing the Frontpoint security device wasn’t bad at all but I wish there had been a little more support as far as clarity on how to actually get things set up. It wasn’t that hard but just a little bit of reading. We use the interactive features quite frequently, which is nice and convenient especially when I forget. Now we've had the system for about a year and we’re actually unhappy because two of our sensors don’t seem to work and it’s been an ongoing struggle. Half of the time, I don't know if the system is working. In addition, the sensors on the door have fallen off about four times and have had to be replaced in less than a year. The quality of the door sensors is really frustrating and it’s not like we slam our doors. When I shut the door, the sensor breaks and falls off the wall and then our dog tries to eat it and that’s caused a constant concern as well.

    UPDATED ON 10/10/2016: I have been a Frontpoint Security customer for approximately a year now and have had nothing but hassles and doubt when it comes to my home security system - and now I know it has been for good reason. I gave the company a "3 star" rating because I had the hardest time keeping the door sensors attached - my dogs tried to eat them 2 of the three times they fell from the door frame, once successfully. You can only imagine the vet bill on that incident.

    I also have had issues with the large motion sensors that are installed in the living room. Ever since we received and installed them, we have tested them and have not had any luck getting them to work. Between the quality issues on the door sensors and motion sensors, we pretty much gave up on our security system and joked that we hope the robbers come in through the back or front door because those were the only active working sensors. After a recent follow-up call from their customer service team, I now rate this company a "1 star" rating because "0 stars" wasn't an option.

    After my review was posted to the Consumer Affairs site, I received a call from a Frontpoint customer service representative named Nick. He was responding specifically to my comment regarding the failed motion sensors. Apparently after they are delivered and received you have to call and activate them. We were told by the customer care representative handling our initial request for new sensors that they were activated and ready to go and already added into our existing system - which was not the case. We received an email notification that our new equipment was shipped on March 16, 2016. We installed it right away and did not think to call customer service because as I mentioned, we were told everything was activated and ready to go upon installation.

    Today I learned from Nick, the customer service rep that followed up on my review, that we had to call and activate the replacement sensors. We received them in March 2016... 8 months ago. We have been paying for equipment for the past 8 months that wasn't even turned on, and nobody in the Frontpoint office thought to call and check-in or follow-up on the delivery or installation of our equipment after seeing that it was not even turned ON for 8 months. Mr. Nick told me that thy don't do that, they only call customers for activated alarms... and apparently also less than mediocre reviews. We did not even get into the discussion regarding the falling door sensors, which 1 of 3 still doesn't work.

    At that point, I was livid. I already work two jobs and am also planning and paying for a wedding. It's absurd that I have paid for a service I haven't even received over the past 8 months... and when I asked how much it would be to get out of my remaining contract - approximately $800. Absolutely absurd. Frontpoint - I urge you to take better care of your customers rather than take their money up front and allow them to fend for themselves, or at least get on the same page in regards to the instructions and information you are providing during your customer service calls. We would have been happy to call and activate our sensors had we known we were supposed to do so. Consumers - I urge you to look elsewhere for reliable home security and consistent customer service. I've had nothing but trouble with this company.

    Frontpoint's initial cost was low but the monthly service is a little bit more than I was expecting. Also with that amount, I would expect the technology and the hardware to be a little bit more. But there’s definitely more sense of security that’s why we bought their alarm system. However, there was a point where we had a bunch of false alarms and I still think one of my motion detectors is faulty. Yet, everybody at Frontpoint kept telling me that it was fine. I still think there’s a problem with the master control panel. It hasn’t went off lately and the monitor keeps restarting by itself but it stays armed. I don’t think Frontpoint's overall hardware is the greatest technology. When it was going off frequently, I felt that there was no response from Frontpoint. We haven’t used the security system much this summer, but we’re starting to activate it more frequently.

    I previously had signed up with a plan with another provider and then started to get a lot of negative feedback from their reviews, so I canceled that almost automatically. Frontpoint was able to work with me on a short notice. I knew their sales department seems to be in Virginia and that was pretty important to me because I’m not getting somewhere like that in the middle of nowhere.

    I had a few setup complications specifically that were listed in their initial setup. It was noted that if I have a steel door, the sensors may not work because they’re essentially a magnet and they’re just going off of an electromagnetic sensor and then the little steel sensors are essentially a little small bar magnet, so it magnetizes itself to the door and then it disrupts the connection. So they sent me a larger one and I was able to attach that. But as far as attaching it, the foam tape they sent took it, stuck it, and after about three weeks it fell off, hit the floor and broke. So they sent me some stronger tape and that solved the problem but I developed a fix around it, so it’s all good. It works out the way I got it fixed.

    The fellow that originally helped me with the contract constantly followed up with me and still periodically contacts me. The only thing that I would happen to see as a complaint is the endless need to contact them once we got the system, but that eventually fell off the face of the Earth once I got everything setup. Periodically, I just get an email from them and I had one call from them because one of the sensors farther back in the area went off. Luckily it was that one so I knew it was probably a false alarm. It turned out that the sticky tape gave out and fell off again. So they called me promptly and asked me if I wanted to call the police. They identified which sensor it was and I said, “No. That’s fine. We don’t need to have a false or anything like that.” So I went ahead and checked it and sure enough, there it was lying on the floor, so I fixed that problem as well.

    I don’t get any kind of transmissions for cell phones from where I work. It’s below ground and it’s lead-lined walls so unless they specifically call me on a specific number at a specific time, I’m not going to get any kind of signal. Worse is that it is useless using an app on my phone because it’s just not going anywhere. But I actually feel better that I have it considering a neighbor right next door shot and killed burglar within a space of three months after getting it installed. Technical service was good. They were able to ping all my sensors and get everything setup. Overall, they were very good.

    My insurance agent said I had to have a security system and so far with Frontpoint, nobody breaks into my office. I come in and push buttons, then I leave and push another button, though the alarm irritates my secretary sometimes when she forgets to push the button.     I've used Frontpoint for about three years, and a couple of times when I've dealt with the people at Frontpoint, they've been nice in general. I've had to talk to them about a few things, such as some issues that I've had with my monitor. It doesn't always type in the code very well, so the monitor could use some help. I also had some problems when I moved, mostly with the transfer of service and the additional cost that I had to incur. But this issue was resolved among contracts, so I'll follow it through to the end and decide what I want to do then. Overall, it's been a good experience.

    I've had ADT before and their prices were outrageous while Frontpoint's is cheaper. I only paid 30 bucks for each window and door equipment at Frontpoint. While at ADT, it went around $140 a piece for the same type of equipment. I had a hard time installing my Frontpoint device, though. I had problems setting the name. I couldn't do it myself online. So I made a phone call and they fixed it for me. They didn't hassle me with a bunch of other stuff or tried to sell me anything. They answered what I needed and kept it quick. One thing I didn't like about is if I accidentally left an outdoor shed door open and when I arm the system using my phone, it doesn't tell me that I left it open. It just arms it anyway and discontinues that one place where it's open. I don't like that. Having said all that, I still have recommended them to several people and gave them the numbers.

    My mom uses Frontpoint at her house and it's been a year since I've had Frontpoint installed as my own home security service provider. The installation was easy although I had one issue where something wasn’t reading and so they sent me something to boost the differential between the two. Then there's no muss, no fuss. Everyone is friendly and had the answers, so I've no complaints.

    I pretty much only use the app, but I arm the system at night at the keypad. I love it but I always get paranoid and wonder if something were to go off and I wasn’t home then what would I do and hopefully I’ll never have to worry about that. So far, nothing’s ever happened other than I thought I disarmed it but it never did. So I was touching around and the alarm went off and that was annoying but that was my own fault.     My realtor recommended Frontpoint. We had a couple of false alarms and so we spoke to the customer service people and they were able to help troubleshoot it. It's usually a pretty good interaction. Installing the device was pretty easy. There was an issue with the glass break sensor, but they sent us a new one within a couple of days. We usually arm and disarm the system using its interactive feature, which is easy and nice. Once, we like left a certain day and didn’t remember to arm it until an hour later from this phone and that was great. I bought the system for the times when I leave the house. It lets us know when the cleaning people are coming and going and it helps a little bit, but I was not that worried, to begin with.

    Frontpoint is the best and I have no problem. I got it when my husband passed away over a year ago. I went online and my son who had some other service told me to take their service because it’s really good. I researched and looked around and decided to give Frontpoint a try. My son installed it for me and he knew exactly what to do because of his system. I absolutely love it and in fact, I even got my grandson in Wisconsin on it. He’s happy with his service as far as I know since he told me it's really good, simple to install, and works properly, and that he really feels confident that he's secure now. Frontpoint also said I was gonna get a free month for referring him and I'm excited, but I haven’t seen it yet. When I first got the system, the fellow who told me about and gave all the details was very helpful and good. I was very happy with him. In fact, it was because of him that I ended up getting the system. He’s an asset to the company.

    Years ago in Florida we had ADT and it drove me crazy. They came into my house, wired all my windows, put the box top, and had metal and other bugs of all kind. Then any time something would go by, it would go off and I've had the police at my house. Finally my husband said that we cannot have them anymore and it's not working so we got rid of them. We never went to anything until when he passed away and I needed something because I'm really by myself and I don’t want to take any chances. Now I have Frontpoint in both my houses in Michigan and Florida and I’m very pleased with the service. I recommend it to people that talk to me about alarms and tell them I have the best.

    One time, I had left a door opened by mistake in my house in Florida and the police came at 2 o’clock in the morning and I felt like I was gonna die. The police told me not to be alarmed since it was the alarm service that went off. I said that I didn’t know that because I had my phone in the living room on the charger which is a distance from my bedroom so I never heard the alarm. They were there like jack rabbits, so fast and it was unbelievable. But I've not had any problems in Michigan.

    I’m doing good and very pleased with Frontpoint. Although, I need to check with somebody if the motion detector automatically puts on when I go away and put my security system on. I think it does because when I go to sleep at night and put the alarm on for the windows and doors, I don’t put the motion since my alarm goes off when I get up to go to the bathroom. It sounds funny but the motion detectors work well and are really good. Putting the alarm on makes me feel really secure. I'm one happy customer that's why I've already recommended them.

    I've tried different home security providers but I didn't really care for them. I'm partial to Frontpoint. Their website is really easy to manage. There is no comparison to the three companies that I have had. Before Frontpoint, I couldn't get on the web, I couldn't manage any of it, couldn't set any parameters myself. However, the alarm and the sensors are not as loud as what I had before so I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to hear it as well in the middle of the night.     We have Frontpoint for the whole building and we've used it for about 18 months. Frontpoint is liked better because we’re able to do it digitally and remotely instead of having to be there in the shop. It’s fantastic. We live about 40 minutes from the shop and it’s easy for us to remotely look things over from the comfort of our home instead of having to run down in case there was a problem. We get notifications too.

    Frontpoint is a little too sensitive to some things, though. Our front window is completely glass. When light comes in the right way, it’ll trigger the alarm and have a false reading. However, it's great that we can look at it and not worry about coming in and know that it was triggered by light. We ended up turning off some of the notifications. There was one point we all kept getting messages every couple of minutes in the middle of the night. Because my husband and I both have the app as well as our lead technician who is also the one that opens the shop every morning, we were checking on each other and asking if anyone saw something.

    I did a research online, and different people are commenting on Frontpoint's services. They have a nice review. We installed the device, activated it with them, and it was really easy and fast. We had a couple of pieces later on, and it was fast too. We didn't have any problem. I turn my phone app on and off when I go farther than two or three miles. It's great. Plus, the new interface is nicer. It's easier to tell what's going on. I have the system on almost all day long at the same position. It's comfortable thinking that I have detectors. Also, something that I really like about it is the possibility to have a different code access for different people. That way, I know who's coming and who's leaving.

    I went with Frontpoint based on their “smash and crash” protection that was described to me and that was different from other providers. The reps have all been pleasant. When I was getting the system set up, I put a call to the service department to help me figure out an issue and the rep was very nice. He helped me solve my problem. The couple of times I talked with the representatives they responded to an alarm from the security system and they were very nice. The interactive features of the system is an area for improvement, though. When I leave the house, I bypass one of the sensors. I leave the dog in so he doesn’t set off the motion detector. I can only bypass the sensors from the home panel but it would be a nice feature if I could do that from my phone.

    I've been using Frontpoint for about a year and it's nice to be able to know who is coming in and out and when they’re doing it. I live in an apartment complex and I don’t have the only key to my front door. It’s nice to be able to verify that I’m the only one coming in and out of it based off of the timeline that Frontpoint provides when doors are opened or closed, or when sensors are activated or deactivated.

    I like the convenience of Frontpoint and their app. It's in a property that we're not at a lot, so I can turn it on and off and I can monitor the alerts and everything else relatively easily. The experience with Frontpoint has been pretty good. I've also had the ADT system in another property for a little over 10 years. But I like the convenience of Frontpoint because of the technology which is now Bluetooth. And I can move the sensors anywhere I want, as opposed to everything having to be screwed in by ADT and still having to have a landline in the house in order to connect their monitoring station. So, Frontpoint is a lot more convenient.

    I got one of their window breaking monitors on a counter, one of the motion detectors by the front door, also on four other doors. Everything was installed in less than an hour. But working with Frontpoint on the phone to activate and test everything took longer than installing all the hardware. Other than when I had to set it up, the only other interaction I had was when I had trouble with accessing the site through my smartphone application because the site was down. Unfortunately, it's a third-party site and not theirs, but it was taken care of relatively easy. The website was just down for a couple of hours, and they took care of it via the phone. Then it was back up within six to eight hours. It was just a temporary outage.

    I do everything from my computer or my smartphone, and it's easy. In fact, I don't even know how to arm and disarm the Frontpoint security system from the panel in the house because I've never used it. I just do it from my phone. I was in Indiana last week and my son used the house. He said he was leaving, and asked if I could set it after he leaves. Then I did it from Indiana. It's easy. I shut off the alerts when we were there because I didn't want all of them going off. We just turn the alerts back on when we're away. Now I would like to have a more integrated system with the garage door, being able to close and secure the front door as well. I would like more extension on the types of capabilities I can do remotely.

    A company on the internet advertised Frontpoint, and they were rated number one from what I understood so I went with them. We installed it ourselves, and it was simple. We just plugged and mounted it. However, it's a bunch of crap and I hate it. I don't feel like I have a home security system. I have the glass break sensor and it never goes off when glass breaks. The only time the motion detectors detect motion is if it's right in front of it. But if a person is far, they can go right past without it ever going off. I called and told them it was a waste of time. I'm stuck under contract and they know it, so they're not going to do anything. I pay $45 a month for nothing, and I feel like I'm just being robbed. I cannot wait until my second year is up, so that I can pack up their stuff, send it back to them, and get a real security system at half the cost.

    Frontpoint is good and I like it. Installation was extremely easy and very user-friendly. I did it myself and it didn't take more than half an hour to do it. I’m not the biggest fan of the hardware, though. I don’t necessarily think that it works perfectly as it should.     Choosing Frontpoint was a combination of the ease of installation, not having to have strangers come into my house, and the fact that I could do everything on my phone. The installation was smooth and easy. I did it all by myself and it took me about 12 minutes. It has made a world of difference. We know that we can turn our system on or off wherever we are in the world. And if I need to let my neighbor into the house, I can control it from wherever I'm traveling from. If I forget or if I can't remember if I set my system, I can look at it on my phone and double-check to make sure. It gives us a great sense of security and we love it. It was better than I expected. We're very pleased with our purchase and we would recommend Frontpoint to anyone that's looking for an easy-to-install security system.

    I had ADT before but I like the Frontpoint system more. However, I wish there was a remote that was not connected to the cell phone. We live in a four-story house and the system is on the first floor. Sometimes, we'd put the alarm on downstairs and then we forget that we need the window open. To open it, we'd have to go all the way back down, so I would love it if we could bypass the system. That's the only thing that I preferred with ADT, that I could use a key fob to reset and turn the system on again. Other than that, I feel safer since I started using Frontpoint.

    I bought a new house and I didn't want to have wired installation so I switched to Frontpoint and it has been our home security service provider for a year now. It was exactly as advertised. It was very easy to install. I had no problems with the installation and tech support was very helpful and attentive. We use the application to arm and disarm and it's pretty cool to be able to access and control the system remotely. I feel comfortable since the device has been installed.

    We were robbed and somehow Frontpoint called us within the first 24 hours. Their reps were all professional, very helpful and they were able to answer all my questions. Installing the system was very easy too. I arm it via my computer, my iPad and my phone all the time. It's fine except sometimes the applications get hung up and I have to set all the other applications going on my iPhone or my iPad in order to get Frontpoint to work. Another thing is I don't like the idea of being locked into a two or three-year contract.

    The reps at Frontpoint are very kind and understanding when asked for help with the system's technology. Installing our Frontpoint security device was very easy. The kit came ready-to-go, so there wasn't really a whole lot for me to do other than to just stick the sensors on. I use the phone app every day to arm and disarm the system. In fact, I hardly use the touch panel because it's a lot easier to do it through the phone. It's the best. I would recommend it to anyone.
