Frontpoint's customer service people were helpful and answered my questions. I did the installation of the system, and it was easy but it took a little longer than they said it would. I’m happy with the system and I really like that when a door opens, it tells me which one it is. I also use Frontpoint’s smartphone features sometimes and it’s nice to have it. The cost is fine and I don’t feel like I’m being overcharged. But there are certain things I can’t change such as the volume unless I call them and I don’t really find myself having time to call anyone. Other than that, Frontpoint is easy to use and their customer service is good. I would recommend them.

We were using ADT and weren’t too happy with them. We wanted to do somebody different and Frontpoint is much better. During the sales, there was no pressure and they gave me a lot of good information. The best thing is customer service. It is so far superior to ADT. Our experience with ADT was they talked to us like we were an idiot. In Frontpoint, it’s been super good. I’ve been in touch with them several times because the system was new and we didn’t know exactly what we were doing. I recently added their security camera, so I’ve had to contact them two or three times to get information on getting it set up properly. They’ve always been quick to respond. We don’t get put on hold and everybody that I’ve talked to has been very knowledgeable. They always can answer the question and it doesn’t matter who answers the phone.
The Frontpoint system was self-installed. They didn’t send out people, which was one of the things I liked. The installation was very simple. I did most of it from their online. And when I had a question, I picked up the phone and there was an instant answer. The features that are offered in our system and the smartphone features are great. I use the smartphone feature at night to set the alarm. That’s about the only time I use it other than if I get a notice that the camera has been activated. I can look at it on the phone. But I use it at night when we go upstairs. Instead of just setting the away function, I set the entire alarm from the phone. And then I disarm it in the mornings when I get up from upstairs so that I don’t go through one of the fields and set it off when I get up.
Now that I can arm the entire system, instead of just the away type function which I had to do with ADT, we feel safer at night because we’re upstairs and things could go on downstairs. And, if we need to, we’re able to move the motion detectors. We can move them around. With ADT, we would have had to call them to get them to come to change it. We feel better at night than we did before. The cost is also great. It was less than ADT for more functions and the monthly monitoring is less than ADT was. We’re extremely satisfied with Frontpoint and I highly recommend them. The system is good and reasonably priced.

Based on research, Frontpoint is the number one online security company. Their customer service was responsive and they answered my questions. I did the installation of the system and the process went well. The only thing we’ve had an issue with is the sign in the front as it keeps coming undone and it’s flimsy. I would recommend that they have a bit more quality products for the signage. Also, the signs for the windows come off all the time, so that too could be improved. I wish I would’ve added a couple of windows, but that was the next tier up and it was overboard. So, I went from either having a bit less than what we needed to having way too much. Other than that, their equipment is great, the system we have is a good package and it suits us.

I needed security at the house and based on the reviews online, I went with Frontpoint. Their sign up process was painless. We did it online and we talked through it with the person on the phone. Then I went online, looked at my account and we ended up having to add a couple of components. And they were able to add that back to the original package which was nice. A box came in the mail and I was able to hook all the system up. The installation went very well but I had a couple of technical questions. When I called tech support, they solved it in a few minutes via the contact line on my phone. Frontpoint’s reps were very positive and very supportive. They were quick to answer the phone and had answers to all my questions when needed.
The system has very good features. We were re-securing our house that flooded during hurricane Harvey and Frontpoint had all the features that we wanted and more. I just added the front doorbell and the internal camera. We have another house with ADT and the cost of Frontpoint is lower than that. Also, Frontpoint’s functionality is as good, if not, better. Now, it’s very comforting to know that the system is on and it's monitoring since we're not in the house and we have to watch it remotely. I would recommend Frontpoint to a friend.

After seeing the reviews and the online advertising of Frontpoint, I decided to go with them. The sales rep was very helpful and was super good. I like the way they were able to answer my questions and put me at ease as to what I was doing because I installed the system myself. It was easy though. I love their features. I like the ease of use through their app. Overall, I was very happy with my experience with Frontpoint.

I got Frontpoint as a preventative measure. They were better priced compared to others and I liked the fact that I can install the system all by myself. I've been with Frontpoint for three years and up until recently, my experience has been great. When I set the alarm off accidentally the response was good. But if you have to relocate security or want to cancel security for any reason or go a different company, you'll have a hard time with them. They try to lock you into this contract. Once they have you, they don't really wanna back off of it, even though you're dissatisfied with their service.
They also have some limiting features. They do have a cellular chip in their alarm that allows them to transmit even if the panel's broken. The problem with that is you can only have one panel. So if you have a big house, you only get one panel. And their price of equipment keeps going up, so when I moved to my new residence, I would've had to pay over $500 for more equipment for just having two more doors and three more windows.
Their representatives are very professional, but the way their company is set up, it's kind of slick, because someone that handles billing won't also handle customer service. So they bounce you around to two or three different people. So you have to re-explain anything you're upset about over all over again. So look into other stuff first, especially if you have a bigger house because they do give you a good deal on your initial equipment setup, but if you need to buy more, it's full price and they have no mercy on you.
Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback with us as it is the best way for us to grow as a company. Rest assured, one of our Support Supervisors will be looking into your account and will reach out to address all of your concerns in detail. Thanks again and we look forward to speaking with you soon!

I used to have very large aggressive dogs but I don't have them anymore so I needed a security system. I tried Frontpoint out with my home and I liked the app and the feature of being able to do stuff on it. So I stuck with them. Now, I have Frontpoint for all my businesses too. I did the installation myself so it was great but some stuff could be a little better. They're a little bit cheaper than what I would like and I would like a couple more options to be offered now with all the smart homes. But overall, the quality is good. We have kids so we definitely feel a lot safer having a security system. The customer service has been really good too and I've felt very comfortable talking to them.

We recently moved from New York to Philadelphia and we bought a house. And I never had a security system in New York, but Philadelphia is less safe than New York. We asked around and chose Frontpoint based on the fact that it got good reviews and our relatives here have home security systems from Frontpoint. Frontpoint is one of the best companies I've ever dealt with. They're perfect and I wish all companies could be like them. Their frontline people seem to enjoy their jobs. They were very human and there were no scripts. They were very well-informed and incredibly friendly in a genuine way.
We did the installation of the system ourselves and it was simple and generally good. If we needed anything, they were very accessible immediately. The only tiny issue is the fact that the system has to be mounted with double-sided adhesive and it is always a pain because that always is problematic. Sometimes it wears out and there's no other way around that. Other than that, the quality of the equipment so far has been very good. I picked a standard package and it's working great. The cost is very appropriate and it's very much worth it.

We purchased a new home and it's out in the county and away from things. I wanted to give my wife a little more sense of security, so decided to get a home security system. Frontpoint became my choice because I knew that their system is completely wireless. Should someone be able to get to our box and disarm it, it will still automatically send out codes. It didn't matter whether someone cuts the power or not. And I liked that. I also compared the companies in the area and the price difference was substantial.
My initial discussion with them centered around the number of rooms, and whether I wanted to secure any other buildings, like my barn and a workshop. They also talked to me about the different types of security devices, whether it be window and door, magnetic devices, window break devices or garage door. I didn’t realize there were so many. They were very expensive and their dialog with me was about what might best meet our need.
When I installed the system there was an online tutorial that you can look at. Also, if you have a question or concern, all you gotta do is dial the number and they'll get you to someone to take you basically just step by step. The lady I was speaking with, initially, talked me through what would happen, and it was very simple. In a 1,700 square foot house, you can have everything set up and go on in 30 minutes easy. So, you're not looking at a tremendous amount of time. You're not looking to having to bring in people from the outside.
And everything works really well. I've dealt with security in our school buildings and it reminds me a lot of what we had in some of the schools, the magnetic locks for the doors and windows, and also motion sensors. They're of the same quality that we have in our system. The pad is really easy to navigate. It's been really simple and hassle-free. I've interacted with my wife at home through the camera that we have set up. Their app is also great and I love it. We usually set the system and then lock it using our phone as opposed to running in and trying to turn it off at the panel. So it's been really good.
The only downside that I'm having right now is partially due to my internet provider. Our speed and bandwidth are a little lacking and we've had several instances where the motion sensors in the barn or in the workshop have gone offline. We knew going into it that it was going to be a little sketchy because of the distance and the number of walls and stuff that it had to go through. So, I wasn't surprised when we started having some issues. It was through that we wanted to go, and we just need to be able to cover those two buildings a little better. So we're looking at buying an exterior repeater. Also, I had an issue with one of the sensors and made a phone call. They took care of that and sent me out a new sensor, and it was there within a day or two. So, they were very responsive to my concern.
Our peace of mind is better knowing that the things that we have stored in either the house or the barn or the workshop are not only locked up, but also has an added measure of security in place. I’d like to eventually upgrade to several exterior cameras. But I'm really looking for something that maybe doesn't exist yet. Usually, all these videos and pictures of people who have broken into houses or businesses are really grainy. I don't know why that has to be considering we've got 4K technology and the ability to take something that's very small and enlarge it. That's one thing that I will probably do in the near future once we get the internet to where it’s covering the area like it needs to. But it's been a very positive relationship for us. Frontpoint has done exactly what they said they would do. I would recommend them.

I wanted security and safety and went with Frontpoint based on some reviews I've read. Customer service has been good but the sales was a rocky start. I had to do some credits in the beginning ‘cause it didn’t start off as good, but it’s been good over the past months. Some of the newer places have better technology but they're more expensive, so for what we have, it’s good enough as far as using the app to arm and disarm and making the controls fairly easy to use.

We live in the city and sometimes there's theft around where we live so we felt we'd get a security system. I did a quick Google search and it said that Frontpoint was one of the top ones, so I called and I liked the guy I talked to. It was a long phone call just getting it all set-up. But we had a lot to discuss and since no one came out to the house, I had to do a lot of describing of everything. But it's perfect.
At my work we have these cameras where you can actually speak through. When you have a babysitter in the house, you can actually talk to the babysitter through the camera and then you can see everything that they're doing. If your cat or dog is home alone, you can kind of check in and that's cool. I think that would be a nice addition if they don't already have that as an option.
The one thing that was kind of a little hiccup was when I ordered all the stuff, they were saying "Do you have any animals?" And I said, "Yes. We have a cat." And the rep said, "Well, is he like a really big cat?" And I said, "No. He's tiny." They were saying that the motion sensors would not be set off by the cat, but that's not true. My cat sets the motion detectors off, which is not a huge deal. He usually sleeps with us anyway, but he has to be locked in the bedroom with my husband and I so that he can't come down at night because he'll set the motion detectors off. So don't make the promise that it's not gonna get set off by a cat because it will. But overall the sales process was easy and the cost was great.

I've been online and Frontpoint seemed to have the best quality of service. I was comparing other security systems within the area and they were the company I thought I'd be able to benefit from. When I was working with their representatives, I was always satisfied. If I had a question they would be able to answer it. I never had any issues when I reached out to them. I went with the basic package since I didn't really want to invest in that much accessories to go along with it. Still, the rate is competitive and for my basic system, I pay 44 which is what everybody else is paying.
Still, setting up the system was very easy. The only con I had was with my sensors as I didn't know they had a number. They're just somewhere throughout my house and so it's a guessing game for me. Also, I didn't read the manual and I had to download it. So, I called and their rep gave me instructions on how to set the system up, making sure that the sensor was right there where it needed to be so I would I be able to hear it. However, the downloading of the manual was my pet peeve. I can't see the installation by downloading the manual, looking at it and reading it. If I had a video of someone actually installing the system to look at, I could benefit from something like that.
Still, I used ADT for years before and Frontpoint's home security system has been a lot better. With ADT, I sometimes had a lot of false alarms and with those false alarms, the police would come out. Although I'm in a different city, this company has a far better than ADT. Also, I love the smartphone features of my system. I often have to leave really fast without thinking and at times I need to make sure I arm the alarm. That's what I do on my smartphone which is something that ADT didn't have. It’s a bit better that way because I don’t have to send somebody all the way back home where I have to call and give the information to the alarm itself.

Frontpoint was recommended by a friend and we got this system for security. Customer service was all great and our interactions with them were easy. When we had to call in, everything was handled and done quickly. We installed the system ourselves so that was good. The package we got has enough features for what we need. The smartphone features are great and I usually arm and disarm on my app. The system is good overall and the cost is fair. With Frontpoint in our home, we feel more secure when traveling and at night.

The system is easy to install and the quality of the equipment is good, but the app is not working that much great. The Frontpoint reps knew what they were talking about and they helped me set up when there was a hitch. They were very straightforward for us. I like all the options and small details, like seeing when the security can be turned on or off because I travel a lot all over North America so it’s very accommodating for me. That is one of the major features why we purchased this, and if someone cuts the power off to the house, it’s enabled. Everything was excellent and it was great customer service in all aspects.

I searched online, checked the customer review with and Frontpoint was better than the other company. I called their technical support to help during installation and it was easy. We used Frontpoint when we were away. I am able to control it from my iPhone and they also gave us a key so you can turn it on. It is more expensive than the other local security providers since it is a US company and the exchange rate is high but I feel safer when the alarm is on. Some people can break in and steal your stuff in five minutes. It was pretty compromised but it’s still better than nothing.

Our neighborhood had a few break-ins and forced entries. So, we determined that it would be worth to pay monthly to have a security system to rely on. I looked up "best security systems" on Google and Frontpoint and ADT were the top two that came up. ADT seemed to be more expensive since they’re an older company and Frontpoint seemed to be better price-wise for us. So, we went with them.
I spoke to a gentleman on the phone and he was excellent. He talked me through everything I needed and what I might wanna add additionally on there, whether it was a camera for the front door or something along those lines. He even listened to any doubts I had about the cost of the equipment. He was also able to give us a discount over the phone, down to something that we are more comfortable with paying per month and how much we are paying upfront for the equipment.
Then, it took me five to 10 minutes to install the unit myself. I went on the app that they told me to do then I put the sensors on the doors and stuck the glass break sensors near the windows. It was very simple. I like the quality of the equipment but I wish that the panel was a little bit better. It is not touchscreen or fancy and it could be a little nicer. The sensors themselves are great though. It beeps when it’s supposed to. I also like the smartphone features. With it, I’m able to check if the security system is armed. It gives me that peace of mind that if I was not at home and someone opened up the door, I would get a notification on my phone immediately. I would also like to get a doorbell camera that I can monitor from my phone but that’s not a feature that we invested in. The equipment is very pricey so we haven’t done that yet.
Other than that, the cost of the system is very fair for what we pay right now. We’ve had other competitors come to our house before, seeing that we have Frontpoint, and their pricing wasn’t really as good as Frontpoint so we stayed with Frontpoint. All in all, we feel much more comfortable that we have a security system that we set at home. So if there’s anything or anyone trying to enter our home or anything along those lines, we know that a message will be sent to the proper people, whether it’s the police or the fire department, and that’s a good peace of mind.

My brother was selling Amway at that time and Frontpoint was their partnered company, so we got a really good deal on the package for our first system. Our subsequent systems were bought through Frontpoint because we were happy enough with the service. It's simple once it's setup. It's been easy enough once I get the installers on the phone to walk through everything. Also, everything’s automated from payments to alerts, to making sure alarms are cancelled. I love the new app. I have had to call Frontpoint each time just to navigate small issues. It had more to do with the doorframes and things that were not in their control.
But it would be great if their sensors look a little bit nicer or a little more inconspicuous when it comes to the motion sensors and the glass break and smoke detectors. It all just look generic and white, and they look a little cheap. But it certainly gives great peace of mind compared to having none. We've been with them going on eight years now, and I have three different systems in three different places and it’s like being able to be there without having to be there.

Dad passed away in Massachusetts so I needed to input my dad’s security system remotely from Chicago. One of my colleagues and I were talking about security systems and he was very happy with Frontpoint's equipment and service. He recommended going to their website and checking out the different features. Everything has been positive when I got in contact with the Frontpoint representatives. And then anytime I have any technical questions, I always get a live person who walks me through the issue at hand and resolves it on the spot.
The system came with a comprehensive set of instructions and there are some videos on YouTube that I could reference when I was installing the system. The installation was simple, but I had follow-up questions regarding pairing the different devices with the control pod in the module itself. Although the monthly cost is not really that cheap, it’s probably within $10 a month of the competitors AT&T or Comcast. And if there is an issue and you get an alarm, they will call you right back. Basically, check the website first to see if it suits your needs. But you also have the ability to custom build a security system to your specific needs. The bottom line is that I’m very happy with Frontpoint and I recommend it.

I had ADT a long time ago but I wasn’t very happy with their stuff. When I moved to this other house, I decided to get from Frontpoint. I asked Google what was the top-rated security system and they said Frontpoint. So far it’s been really well. Their reps are doing great and they were very professional. The installation went well and it was pretty easy. They did a pretty good job of explaining it and explaining where to put the stuff. You get two motion sensors that come with the package. However, they could offer window sensors instead of having to purchase that separate and that should have come along with the door sensors. Any entranceway, like your doors and windows, should come in the package. It’s supposed to be a security system, but somebody could bust in your windows and your motion sensor didn’t pick them up.
Then, you can’t put your sensors where it's going to detect every place in your home. Mine fell off the wall the first time. I had to stick it on there with Super Glue. There should have been a little higher grade sticker system on those motion detectors because they’re going in the corners. Also, my mom is 92 years old and if Frontpoint told her that her doors and windows were monitored, she would think that they are monitored so when the thing says, “Doors and windows,” elderly people would think that. But younger people know what’s on it. It’s not a big deal to me, but it could be to somebody else. Other than that, the system is very good, and the smartphone app is a good idea and it works very well.

I got tired of my phone being connected to my hard line and to my cable company, so I went to a different company. I got Frontpoint and I like it. There has been some issues with connectivity on recordings but other than that, their service is good in general. They also have good customer service. The people over at Frontpoint have been nice, accommodating, they explained what they were doing, and they delivered what I asked them to do. My wife installed our system and it went okay. But one thing we were not informed about was that there's a connection we have to have through the internet for a particular doorbell video. And we’d already installed it, and it works a little bit, but then it’ll stop working consistently. And so, they said we gotta buy another part for that. So we asked them why nobody told us about it.
They should be a little bit more conscious of where the Wi-Fi is in a customer's house, so that they can tell if they need to deliver a part that extends on the Wi-Fi, so that doorbell thing works more consistently. But other than that, it’s fine. Our Frontpoint system works great and does what I expected it to do. And in case we forget to set the alarm, I like being able to set it when we’re not at home. We've had a good experience so far. The price and value are fine as well. Frontpoint got some good stuff and they give you a good deal when you start out. Frontpoint was highly ranked and I liked the customization, the ability to install it yourself and the ability to add various sensors and automation as well. They also have a lot of integration with Alarm.com and it’s easy to look up what you can add on to the system. The initial sales, getting it set up and ordered were very good. Because of my timeline, we were able to delay the shipping and getting all that set up. Then, during the initial setup, I got everything the way I wanted it. I found that the installation was straightforward and easy, and the instructions were good. The only issue I had was they called my wife’s phone versus my phone even though I’m the primary. Also, there are other products out there that I wish Frontpoint would have.

I like Frontpoint. They were great. It wasn't too hard to do the installation, and they got all the features covered that I want in my system.

I needed a security system then. Frontpoint was well-regarded on online reviews and they made it super easy to sign up. Also, if I didn't like it, they had this kind of return policy that was really great. I called them and the rep was really friendly and answered all my questions. I liked talking to the guy. I had someone else do the installation for me and it was easy for him. The app is super easy, simple and straightforward.
However, when I set the alarm, particularly when I stay at home, I'd like to be able to turn off the beeping. It beeps for two minutes and every 10 to 20 seconds. Other than that, everything else is great. I moved to a new neighborhood and I feel better that I have the security system. I like that I can get notifications whenever the front or back door opens because if I have contractors coming over, I can see that they're moving in and out of my house. Also, if for any reason I didn’t set the alarm, as a fallback, I'd get some notification and see that the door was open.

Frontpoint has better pricing and it was convenient because it has no wires. The sales rep was great. I needed the break sensors and he was telling me what would be useful for my house rather than just trying to sell me a bunch of stuff. The only one that was confusing was the water bug. Usually, all of the pieces here have two pieces for the sensors to work. The water bug didn’t really explain how to set it up. Nonetheless, I'm very satisfied with their features. The motion sensors could be a little bit stronger though. Furthermore, we use their smartphone features. It’s very convenient to notify me whenever somebody is in and out of the house when I’m not at home or even when I am home.

We've always had a home security system and we feel more secure in our home if we have one. We had ADT for years but when we wanted an upgrade, the person did not show up and I was annoyed. I looked up systems and I saw Frontpoint. They seemed interesting and it turned out that a neighbor had them. So, we switched to them. At the time, we were in a different state. Then, when we moved to where we are now, we decided to try ADT again. However, we had the same experience with their technician. Compared to that, we never had a problem when we had Frontpoint. So, I looked if they do service here and they did, so we went right back to them. We added more products since we had more doors and way more windows now.
Frontpoint's customer service is much greater and they are more responsive that ADT. Since we set up the system ourselves, which I prefer, we've had issues here and there. When one of our garage doors kept beeping, we couldn't figure why and we would have to slam it to close it. It turned out that it just wasn't lined up. Frontpoint's reps were always so patient with going through everything with us, thinking of all the different solutions, and I have never gotten off the phone without having the issue fixed.
The quality of the system is also great and as long as the system is on, I feel comfortable. I've always lived up north and being in a different place, it gives me that extra sense of security because I get nervous when I’m not familiar with the area. The smartphone app is great as well. When we were up north, we parked in the driveway and entered through the front door. But here we go into the garage, so it is great to be able to arm and disarm the system. Also when we're away, we have a family member that looks in, so the whole idea of being able to assign them a code, as well as to check and see when someone enters and leaves, gives us that extra security when we're not at home.
So far, we are not able to use the camera because it's a wired system, and our doorbell because it uses a battery. But technology changes and I'm seeing some changes within Frontpoint now. Still, purchasing equipment is gonna get costly and I wasn't happy with that. Oher than that, Frontpoint's cost is fine and in line with the other services. We've had a great experience with them and as long as that continues, we'll always be a Frontpoint customer. We've also recommended them to people.

I looked up online for reviews and it seemed like Frontpoint's customer service was the best out of everyone. The person I talked to was very pleasant. He gave me everything I needed really promptly. We talked over the phone, and he sent over the agreements through e-mail. He patiently waited while I read it for 15 minutes and we did the e-sign. It was great. The installation process was good too. It was really easy. I set it up the station at the center and then I did it over my phone on the app. However, our cat kept triggering it because I put it too close to the steps. But other than that, it went well. The features that are offered have been working great especially the app. But, it needs remodeling so I will know who comes in and out. I also like the activation knowing where they are in the house as well.
Also, I want to upgrade it at this point as the new system looks cool. However, I probably wouldn’t update since the stuff that I have right now works perfectly fine unless there is some incentive to return it and get half off the new stuff. When people ask about us, we tell them we have Frontpoint and we’re perfectly fine. We haven’t had any complaints about it, so we recommend it.

I found Frontpoint online and I did some researching and read reviews. Then anything I've had with their sales was fine. The customer service has been very helpful when I need help from them. The installation was not easy nor difficult, and I had to call somebody to tell them that I didn't quite get their instructions. Still, the features are very good and I like them. But I also wish that they would try to start using a camera that moves more and could really cover my bases a lot more. The stationary camera is not very helpful and useful for what I use it for. So if I could move the camera around, that would be much more beneficial for the exorbitant price being paid for this camera that basically doesn't do anything and only covers the area shown.

When I moved into a new house I looked at several different wireless systems and Frontpoint overall had the best rating. The sales team was friendly, easy to work with and helpful. I had to spend a little bit of time getting them to change my package up a little bit, but they covered everything. The system is easy to install and use. The installation process was over several different periods. I got to hook up one part of it and then go to work and then the next day come back and work on another part. That’s a few hours altogether. The installation instructions were all very good. The only one I’ve had trouble with is the indoor camera. I haven’t been able to quite set that up. There are software issues and I just haven’t had time to call in to them and have them walk me through it. I like the mobile app and the different options. I like that I could to pull it up real quick and work on it. The system's price is right where it needs to be. I'm satisfied with it.

I purchased Frontpoint for a business upon my father's recommendation. We had AlarmForce before and Frontpoint was a better value. I also like Frontpoint's little monitor box better. It was definitely good customer service when I called and had the problem with the motion detector. I just called up and placed my order and everything went very smoothly. During installation, you just basically stick the things on there and tell the monitor where you want to be called. Frontpoint is nice where you can do the stuff with your smart phone to check on things and to arm the system. That's a feature that wasn't available with the other system. Also, if there's a problem, the system sends me a notification.

Like everybody else, I'm worried about what’s going on in the world. Every other security system looks the same. But Frontpoint had the best customer service reviews. When I first got it, I couldn’t get it to hook up right. So I called them and they helped me get the first one hooked up. Then they stayed on the phone with me and took me right through every step of it until I was completely hooked. So far, I'm happy with it and I haven’t seen any problems. Its features are everything I wanted right off, though we have the option to upgrade down the road.
I have forgotten to turn the system off a couple of times, but the team at Frontpoint have always been pleasant when they call. I also love the smartphone features. We use it to turn on and off the system when we're leaving and coming back. Though we live in a very good neighborhood and have never had trouble in this area, Frontpoint gives me peace of mind. I go to sleep at night and I don’t have to worry. Frontpoint is excellent and I've been telling neighbors about it.

After a lot of phone calls and an email to the executive management team, I was contacted by a customer service supervisor named Kenny. This representative went above and beyond to try to resolve the matter in a way that was satisfactory to both the company and me. This issue is now resolved.
Original Review: June 14, 2018
This company is absolutely awful. We purchased a system and monitoring services from them in April 2017 (the equipment alone set us back several hundred dollars). Since that time we've had 3 sensors fail, and the control panel. Each time was an uphill battle trying to convince the customer service reps that we did not sabotage the sensors or panel in any way. Replacements for each of the sensors took up to a week to arrive, leaving our home unprotected in the meantime. When they finally agreed to replace the faulty touch panel, they were out of stock. In its place, we were sent a key panel that looks like it's from the 1950s.
While on the phone trying to get the key panel to work properly, the rep then informed me that our Arm Stay option had been configured incorrectly, and had only been arming part of our home sensors. At that point, the only thing I wanted was to end out service and part ways with FrontPoint, but their Customer Service Supervisor insisted that we'd be responsible for the nearly $800 termination fee. After repeated equipment failures, and after their negligently setting up our sensors incorrectly. I tried to have a civil conversation explaining all of this, which resulted in the supervisor offering to cancel our contract for only $575, with 30 days written notice, and requiring us to pay for the next 30 days of service. Wow, what a deal. I would NEVER recommend FrontPoint to anyone I know, and hope that someone in a better financial position that I am takes legal action against them.

We've always had a home security system. So when we moved, we decided to have one. We have been with ADT for many years and we wanted to try something different. So, we went with Frontpoint. They're cheaper than ADT but in terms of security, they're about the same. In terms of initial support, Frontpoint gave us good service. But after they made the initial sale, they wouldn't give us support and would just refer us to the after-sales support group.
After the unit arrived, I wanted to change the configuration. If you go to ADT, the salesperson will make sure the configuration is up to wherever you want it because when you go to a new house, you never know exactly what you need. But with Frontpoint, I tried to call and I couldn't get any salesperson. They shipped me a unit that didn't work but I called them and that was replaced. Then I added some new units for the garage door and that was good.
As for the installation, ADT would come in and install everything, then you pay a big fee for it. But with Frontpoint, I did the installation myself and had some problems initially because it was a new experience for me. The after-sales support from Frontpoint's maintenance crew was very good though and the instructions were okay. The features of the system that we have now is better than ADT because we can monitor alarms through our mobile phone. That's the best part about Frontpoint right now. I could get the same thing with ADT but it would be a much more expensive package. Other than that, Frontpoint could add a feature to close the garage door because right now, I have to buy a second system to close the garage door. Still, I would recommend Frontpoint.

I chose Frontpoint because of their customer service, even though it was a little more expensive than my other option. They seemed to be very knowledgeable about their parts and system. It was one of the issues that I was having with the other companies. Also, Frontpoint was very responsive. There was one issue where once my alarm went off. They have a process in order for them to call the police and because it wasn’t addressed the correct way, they reimbursed me for whatever extra fee they were going to charge me.
The system is pretty much just a plug-in-and-play. Whatever questions I had directly with the system, I called them and they were able to address them right there and then. I use the smartphone feature all the time. I’m glad I got it ‘cause I rarely use the system that is on my wall. Every time I turn on or off my system, it’s through my phone. Overall, you have the peace of mind. You should get a Frontpoint system.

The overall cost of their service in relation to their system's quality is competitive with that of other security service providers. My son talked to the salesman about the cost and he took care of the money that was exchanged. Then Luke brought the system home and I set it up.
The installation process was good and I ended up having two different reps help me with it. I started out with a gal and she helped me get everything set up, but then we lost phone connection. So I called back and then I had a guy, and he was able to pick up where the gal and I had left off, and I eventually got the system set up. We just bought a new house and I was looking for a security system for it. I went on Google and looked at top reviews. Frontpoint was one of the tops. I called each one of the top reviewed security companies and they had the best price and they offered the most for their price point. So you get the most bang for your buck. As far as just getting started, it went very smoothly. I have had zero issues. It was very easy to set up. They offer that you can have somebody come out and set it up but I think it's self-explanatory. The way that they explain it, they give you the box and everything, with all the instructions. It comes step-by-step. It was super easy to set up and get it going by yourself.
I talked to customer service one time when I was going to switch to another security company because they said, "Well, if you have that, we'll beat them by this much." So this other company was trying to come in and be competitive. Frontpoint came back and said, "If they're gonna step in and do that, I'll tell you what, we'll give you what you already have for their same price."
The system is good. It's 24-hour monitoring. It comes with the phone apps so I can arm it and disarm it from anywhere that I am. It has the video doorbell, window and door sensors. And then I'm on a gold plan so it offers support for wireless cameras, but the wireless cameras aren't included with the initial purchase. You have to purchase those outside so you have to purchase those individually. I wouldn't say Frontpoint was any groundbreaking new technology, but it was an up-to-date technology.
I bought the security system for my wife because I work night shift. It was for us to have peace of mind and we are doing much better. When the doors open or something like that, it sends alert directly to your phone as well. So even if I'm not there and she's unable to call, I know that a certain door was opened. I've recommended Frontpoint to few of my friends that have recently bought homes. You really can't go wrong. They're gonna be competitive in price. You're gonna get high quality equipment and they're not just gonna try to take advantage of you. They're gonna try to keep you there for a long time.

I live in a very nice neighborhood but I just purchased a house and I wanted to be extra secure and safe. So, I picked a home security company. In Canada, more people were going for ADT, so I had to choose between ADT and Frontpoint. Then, I was looking up on the reviews about the two companies and people were in favor of Frontpoint than ADT, so I chose to go with them.
Their stocking was very good. But things got haywire when they sent the whole unit to me. I was moving out of the apartment and going into my new house, and I was told that the package would be coming in on a specific date before I moved, but it did not come in at that time. And the package kept on moving with FedEx for so many days. I had to call Frontpoint and tell them that I was cancelling everything, then somebody apologized for the error. Apparently, it was not his fault because he did mention expedited delivery. Also, when I saw the slip, it said that the package was supposed to be in a two-day delivery timeframe by the agent. But somehow, the package kept on going around and it did not go into expedited delivery. Instead, it went into the standard delivery and that was why it got delayed. So, I could not blame him for something which he did not do specifically.
Then the manager who called me and he was trying to help me out with everything. I understand human error and that everything is possible, so I gave them a second chance. There was no reason for me to be upset with Frontpoint or with any of the advisor for this because it was an error that was probably done by the system. The security system itself is very good and I would recommend it to others. In fact, I recommended it to a friend who also bought a house and lives in a very good neighborhood. I told him to be safe and that it is still better to have the security system. And he picked up Frontpoint because of my referral.

The system works great. Once I arm it, I feel a little safer in our home. However, if I don't line the door and window up properly, the system doesn't quite read. We were with another company and we switched to Frontpoint because of the ease of the operation and the cost of it, plus their ability to work with us by phone call or online. They overnighted a board to us and we mailed back the one that was not working. That was exceptional to us. Frontpoint was very astute enough in the area of helping us and then ready to give us information.
And I enjoyed the installation of the system. We did it and it was easy. We were on the phone with them as we were installing it and they were very helpful. I’m happy with everything. I really enjoy it. I like that my wife and I both use our phones to turn the system off and on and to check it, and so we really like that. It was a do-it-yourself installation and it was amazing. I like that I own all the equipment and I can move with it. And then on the phone, they just walked me through it. Installation was so easy, it was unbelievable and they used 3MK instead of permanent holes in our wall.
Their features are perfect. It's all we wanted. And you can scale up for greater security if somebody wants. My favorite feature is they do a regular check every hour on the inactivity to all your equipment, which you don't mostly, and that's one thing that was nice. So if there's ever a problem, they know right away. The cost was one of the big motivators. It was the best. The cost to effectiveness is definitely competitive with everybody else but they had an edge on the customer service. When I call there, I always get an answer right away. There's no scale up in the pricing eventually which a lot of company do. That way, it's gonna cost me through the length of time I choose to use it.

We bought a new house and I thought it would be a good idea to get Frontpoint. Their prices seemed reasonable because I could buy the equipment and that was mine for life versus some other companies where you had to rent it from them, so it's never yours. And over the long run, it worked out to be the same even though I did have to pay a bit more upfront. Some of the other systems were fancier but I didn't see the need for that.
My interactions with their reps were very good. I did have a bit of trouble setting it up though. The arrows needed to be lined up, so that wasn't as clear in the directions. So if there's something bad, it would be the directions that were provided when the product was sent over. The directions themselves weren't that clear, so it wasn't working when I set it up. So, I had to call them and I was able to reach someone quickly. I didn't have to wait on hold for 20-30 minutes. The people were very helpful and I got that all set up correctly.
In terms of selling the product, they weren’t very pushy. They tried to understand my needs, what's good for me. I had a good experience with them overall. In my living room there's a bunch of windows. So each one would have been an extra price but they let me know about the glass shatter. If someone's gonna break in, they're gonna shatter the glass. If that happens to any of the windows, the glass shatter monitor would pick that up and send an alarm that way instead of when a window is open. That way, I was able to protect four windows with just one product instead of getting four different ones. That helps save me some money. They were looking out for me that way as well, trying to understand what my house looks like and providing different options on what's most cost-effective but at the same time, making sure everything's secured.
So far, I'm okay with the cost. They are lower compared to the competitors. I would like it if it was a little bit less though. If they could do more of a promotion in terms of getting the house set up. If they could provide more of a discount on the products upfront when you’re paying for it, I think that would be nice because I think the monthly fee is also high. And even though it works out overtime, that is something that could stop people from signing up with Frontpoint, because they have to pay so much more upfront. Even if they raise their monthly fee a bit, if they were able to lower the price upfront, they might be a bit better off. Nonetheless, I'd recommend Frontpoint. But it also depends on what you're looking for. If you're looking for the most fanciest system, I guess you'd go with Vivint. But if you're just looking for the basic security system, Frontpoint is much better than Vivint in terms of pricing.

When I put “Highest rated” on the internet, Frontpoint came up. But after researching it more, I found that there really aren’t that many people out there that have it. There are some but it certainly not the most used at all. I realized afterward that what I was looking at on the internet was more like a sponsored ad. Nonetheless, Frontpoint's customer service people are super nice and patient. They are always willing to help. However, when you call them with a question or problem, they repeat what your question is to make sure they have the question right and it's a bit annoying.
Setting up the system was difficult in the beginning but it really wasn’t that hard looking back. But when I was doing it by myself and I was just following the instruction, it took way longer than it needed to. I don’t have motion sensors because I have cats. But I have the smartphone app and it's easy to use. The system is good, overall. It seems to work. One time it worked. I was away and my girl wasn’t paying attention to everything I told her. So the police ended up coming and I don’t want it to happen. I set up the alarm 70 percent at the time but sometimes I’m in a hurry and I forget. But it’s certainly better than not having it at all. And I feel better at night. Sometimes, I would open the door and the alarm would be off which would have called the police. I have 20 to 30 seconds to turn off that terrible shrieking noise. I have a neighbor who got Frontpoint too because I have it. So, there’s now two out of six on this street that has Frontpoint.

We've had another security system, but we were looking at something that would be a bit more reasonable in cost for us. My sister-in-law had Frontpoint and she was very satisfied, so we decided to look at them. The sales rep was very knowledgeable and he was able to explain stuff, so signing up with Frontpoint was a very easy decision to make. The installation was a little difficult as far as putting the pieces in place, but that had more to do with the type of moldings on my door. But they gave enough cogs and some thicker panels, so I could make adjustments and I was able to make everything meet. The installation instructions that were included were pretty good and made it easy to be able to decide what I need to do and how to do it.
We’re content with the features offered in our system. One of the things that we get a laugh out of is the readout that gives us the local weather for the next 24 hours. Sometimes it’s just knowing what’s the weather gonna be like and taking a quick look if I have to worry about umbrellas. That feature is a very small thing but it’s very helpful. I have used the smartphone features and they worked fine. They're handy to have and they make the system convenient to use. Getting to the house, I can disarm and go in before I get out of the car.
I’m very happy with the quality of the equipment. It's fine compared to the other system that we had. I’ve got a cat who likes to open doors, so it gives me a heads up if she’s opened a door. Or even when I have my nieces and nephews over, instead of heading out, I can hear the door. And then if someone’s headed out that way, I can keep track of the kids. Frontpoint is easy to use and everything works fine, and I’ve recommended them.

Furthermore, their reps were very knowledgeable. However, there were a few things over the course of my interactions with them that could be a little better. Cross communication was a little unclear on really small stuff like the screen that we have as well as the board and the face thing which are out of date. It's a very 1970's looking box and this wasn't communicated to me properly. We only had a certain time to upgrade to a touchscreen model or else we would have to pay a ridiculous amount of money for it which ended up happening.
Now, I have this big ugly thing in my new house. It's horrible. Since even my air conditioner's front is touchscreen, the thing from Frontpoint is really out of place. Also, the glue that the equipment comes with to put it on the walls has fallen off a couple of times and we've replaced it on our own, going to Home Depot and purchasing something that works a little better. Still, the installation was painless and I had no problems with that. The cost is also pretty fair and I got a good deal at the beginning so we didn't pay that much for all the equipment. Overall, we're happy and we're keeping our Frontpoint system.

I need the security and my family chose Frontpoint as my home security system. My family installed it but it took time because they had to install every window and every door. I have the glass break sensors and motion detectors in my system and I like the features so far. The one that they chose is very easy to operate. Also, I’m very pleased with Frontpoint's customer service. There was one day I had the system on that I forgot to turn it off and I opened the door and everything started ringing. But I turned it off right away and they called me to make sure that everything was okay. I told them it was my fault. Frontpoint has a monthly fee to pay and it’s worth the money. I'm a senior citizen and on a fixed income so every little bit counts, but it is something that I have to have. I would recommend Frontpoint to other people.

We had a home security system before and I was trying to look for a different company. Frontpoint was one of those that were easier to deal with for self-installation so that I didn’t have to wait for a technician to come home. The ordering process was simple and easy. I knew what I wanted and they sent it to me. Then I set the system up, and it was activated. It was a step-by-step process that I looked at the app and it walked me through. The instructions were self-explanatory and pretty much cut-and-dry.
I got the basic motion sensors and the ones in windows and doors. I could do anything I wanted with the system and kind of make it suit my purposes. I'm very impressed with the quality, the durability, the easiness on how to set it up, and the wireless feature. All the features that it comes with, it makes it really easy. The Frontpoint system is very efficient for the price that we pay. However, the app could be upgraded a bit more because at one time, I could set it and not set it on my app, and then all of a sudden that kind of went away and I’m not sure why. Nevertheless, Frontpoint is a good product and I would recommend them.

We are located in an area where we got some burglaries and my brother decided to get a home security system. Then the Frontpoint package that we got is a little bit expensive but compared to other companies, the price is right there. Also, the equipment is much better. The system was was self-explanatory, so we didn’t have a hard time to install it.
The camera and locks work fine, except for the control panel. We cannot update the software due to some issue with the panel that we can’t connect to the internet. The person we talked to about it wasn’t successful in resolving the issue and he said he would call back again to fix it. But that was the only time we didn’t like the way it was handled and our experience with customer service was fine before this. Also luckily, the system is going through several things so it still does what it's supposed to do. Overall, the features of the Frontpoint system are good. Everything is going through the phone and it's easy to monitor the house through it and it’s hassle-free. We also did some extra locks that we can control remotely and cameras. We got everything that we need.

We're first-time homeowners and we travel a bit. Our home is a lot bigger than our previous apartment and we have a lot of opportunities for theft, so we decided to take the extra step of purchasing a security system. Frontpoint was not "sale-sy" at all and the reps were very consultative. We're more on the paranoid side of life, so we were looking at spending X amount of dollars on all these things in gadgets and our rep said that it was not necessary. They didn’t try and upsell us. They down-sold us to save us some money and gave us the option to add things if we needed them down the road. We were happy that we didn’t get up-sold.
Installing the system was straight to the point. The instructions on the box made sense and we knew exactly where we were gonna put them based on our conversation with the sales rep. We've accidentally tripped the sensors multiple times here in our home so it's doing better than expected. We feel good about the features and they work really well. We have no hesitation leaving for a long weekend or two weeks’ vacation. We trust the system and we're happy.

Frontpoint's rating on the internet was high. Their customer service was good and their sales rep was knowledgeable. It was easy to get a hold of them and when I installed the system, I was on the phone with someone from their company who could help me. There were a couple of reps because we had a side door and initially, it took some time. I had another person help me after, but both of them were good. However, I wish they had some cameras too with it. I was talking about it and they said they'll charge extra for the camera, but the system itself is adequate and nice. I feel very secured with the system.

I decided to get a home security system after my apartment got broken into. I opted for Frontpoint seeing that they had really good customer service rating on a website I was on and since it wasn’t expensive to start up with the program. They were having a deal too and then I just liked the package. The equipment wasn’t expensive and like other places, I have to install it so that's low-cost to start. And then their monthly is not the lowest but it's average. Doing the installation, it wasn’t good for me at the beginning. It took me a little minute just because the app wasn’t working for me so I actually had to call. All their reps have been informative and helpful. Since having the Frontpoint system installed, I have definitely felt more secure. It gets the job done and the pieces are cool. It's very good value. We were going to renovate our house and I needed the alarm system installed. Signing up with Frontpoint was really great. I had ADT at my other house and they were fine, but then when I called to get quotes and information, they really harassed me. They would not let me off the hook and really tried to get me to buy. On the other hand, Frontpoint's guys were really easy to work with and they didn't bother me. The sales guy was really nice and not pushy. They waited until I made the decision.
I installed the system myself really easily. We even bought the fobs as well and I thought those were great. However, my boyfriend was complaining about the cost of the system as he thought that he was high. Still, I told him that we're paying more for the service and we got the equipment for a good price. I've been paying for the service every month but then we had to take the whole system down 'cause there was nothing. I don’t even have a roof on the house yet and I want to put Frontpoint's system on hold because we're paying for something we aren't using.

At first, I was going to choose ADT because it’s very popular, but I decided to do a little bit more shopping and then I saw Frontpoint. And I’m very satisfied with them. I also saw the reviews that they had and they’re the best as far as customer service and that’s very important to me. I enjoyed the conversation with their rep. It was great. And he was amazing and very patient. He listened, explained everything to me, and handled my situation very well.
My partner and I worked on the installation, and it took us about 30 minutes to put everything together. There were very easy instructions about installation when I received a kit. The system's features work very well and I have enjoyed them. The quality of the equipment is great. I have my app where I can either lock or unlock my system. It’s very straightforward and there’s nothing complicated about using it. And when my security system is on, I feel a sense of ease or peace and I feel much safer than I was before. I would recommend Frontpoint to anybody. It is affordable, easy to install, and it runs on a cell tower, which makes it easier to use. They can take an app and use it through their phone. Also, the people that work there are very attentive.

He held my hands through the whole thing and that was wonderful. The system's features are pretty easy to use and I've been pleased. The equipment seems to work and the cost seems reasonable. Frontpoint was quicker to respond and the agent was right on the top of things. He provided a lot more quicker information and was constantly emailing me to see if I made a decision. The difference in price was $5 plus but what was serious to me was that I could rely on Frontpoint if I needed something.
We got the home security system just to solve our trouble in case somebody would come in and steal everything inside, so that they wouldn't disappear. My son came over and installed the system. I had a home security system in Denver and when we moved to Georgia, it seemed like a natural thing to get once again. I live in a gated community, but it's better to have it because we go away for weeks at the time. I read online reviews and there were a couple of things about Frontpoint that appealed to--one was great service and the other one was using the cellular system so that cutting the internet or telephone wire would not disable the system. The interaction I had with sales rep was a typical high-pressure stuff where I called them up and was told, "If you do the deal right now, then we'll do this and that for you. But if you don't do the deal right now, then it's gonna cost you more later." At that point, however, I had already done my homework so it felt like Frontpoint was the right decision. I was happy to take all the right-now deal, but it left a bad taste in my mouth.
The installation experience was some very good and some very bad. Also, the quality of the service I received from Frontpoint has been very uneven. Some people were very good, helpful, smart, and capable, and gave me the right answers very quickly. On the other hand, there were people who went through this ponderous process at the end of the call where they would repeat everything I've said as if to rephrase in some way that somehow it would be more helpful. I don't need someone echoing the words back at me in a slow, insulting manner. I'm a technophile, and I understand the technology and am very comfortable with it. Those were the people who typically were the least capable of giving a good answer. And that needed some work.
My first call for support was with a woman and it went so badly. She was so unhelpful, uninterested, and uncaring about the situation that I decided at that point to dump Frontpoint because I was still within the 60 days to send it all back. But after I calmed down, I decided it would make more sense for me to continue with them based on the reviews, on the technology, and on the fact that I had already gotten somewhere along the installation process. Also, the alternatives weren't as palatable as I would have liked. So, I tried calling again and got someone who was much more helpful. Since then, my experiences with service have been anywhere from okay to good.
I sometimes got answers that were surprisingly stupid, though. As an example, when I logged in online and it said, "Your system is not connected to the internet," I didn't think it was supposed to be. I contacted support to know why I was getting that message. And, in a very dismissive way, the answer was, "Oh, it's not supposed to be connected to the internet. That's the great thing about it." I just reported that their software gave me a warning that the system wasn't connected to the internet. Instead of being dismissive of me and telling me how stupid I am, they should've just acknowledged the problem and said that the software shouldn't say that.
In fact, one reason why I contacted Frontpoint about that was because a woman in support told me that the way the system gets its update is by connecting via Wi-Fi. And yet, some said there is no Wi-Fi connection at all. It was confusing. I went online and tried to learn what I could find, and sure enough, there is no Wi-Fi connection to the system. This also means that the system can't be connected to the smart devices in my house and this is a big hole in the technology.
And then, part of my kit included two bad sensors. I sent them back but Frontpoint didn't realize I sent two back in one box for some reason. When I talked to the person about the fact that they didn't have a record of receiving both units, I asked if they were gonna make me pay for a faulty sensor. The answer was yes. Again, there was no concern or sympathy whatsoever. I would have understood that they have a process if they said, "I'm really sorry about that but I don't have any choice. If we don't have a record of you sending it back, we have to charge you for it." But eventually, someone there figured it out and credited me back with what I've been charged.
Additionally, one of the things that I'm surprised about is that Frontpoint's way of handling alarms is inadequate. With my system in Denver, I had a code which I could give when I'd cancel the alarm so if I was not able to give the correct code, they would know that I am in trouble and they could call the police. Frontpoint has no option for that. So, if someone forces me at gunpoint to clear the system, the system will be useless. It's one in a million shot, but Frontpoint doesn't have any thought about that.
It's also weird that the system immediately generates an alarm when I trigger a sensor if I forget to disarm it when I've been away. There's no delay period, beeping, or anything like that. Then I get a message or notification on my phone and I go and clear the system. I am almost shocked that Frontpoint could clearly put a lot of thought into a lot of aspects of the system, but when it comes to actual security and thinking through the possibilities, Frontpoint does not care enough. They're happy to take the money and to run everything. I also couldn't understand why Frontpoint wouldn't want to rely on the internet connection in order to report alarms. In a race of pigs, Frontpoint might be the best. If you care about something simple and do-it-yourself, Frontpoint is a good choice. But, if you really care about security, find a company that has proper security protocols.

The system is wireless and I customized my package a little bit, but it could be better. I wish the sensors were smaller but they're fine. I have a remote system which I can turn on and off remotely, and it could be something that they offer in their cheaper plan, but I have to pay more. If I have all the features on the lower price plan it would be more appropriate. Unfortunately, I’m locked into a two-year deal otherwise I would go with another company with more features on a lower plan. Other than that, the quality of the equipment is good. So if you're looking into a security system, look into other option as well then decide.

There was no upselling like with ADT or Monitronics, which I had before. Their representative answered all my questions and concerns and gave me a break for a rental property and my home.
The buying process was very simplified and the Frontpoint equipment was not cumbersome. It was shipped to my home and the setup was in less than an hour. They provided really good customer support as well to guide me through. You could do a self-install but if you run into problems, just call the helpline and they'd walk you through. The people on the phone are very skillful and efficient. For my needs, the system is perfect and a good fit. I’m away from my home a lot, so it’s something I could rely on. The features that were offered with the system were good. And the quality of the equipment seems fine, although sometimes it’s kinda hard to put those little things on to place it. And the distance was a problem. I had to put the monitor in the kitchen. I was gonna have it in my office to be handy. But my office is on one side of the house. I couldn't figure out why I could not get this one to work and it turned out it was too far away. So, the range could be better.
Frontpoint got a tremendous customer service and sales teams, and everything has been excellent. However, I don’t like their policy wherein if you sell the house, then you’re stuck with the contract. I'm protecting a house that I had up for sale and I’m still wondering if the buyer's gonna take it over. If he takes it over, then there will be no problem. If he doesn’t, then I’m stuck with the three-year contract. I feel like Frontpoint should let you out if the house is sold. They could let people do spaces of times when they wanted to put the system on a house that’s up for sale. They could do it on a six-month time, and then they could renew. The home warranty lets you put it on six months at a time and you’re not locked in and have to pay a bunch of money or be stuck with a unit you can’t use anymore. Everything was perfect except for that.

I planned to get the inside sensor, but they always send me the door sensor and the window sensor, which I didn't need much. Then they sent me five window sensors. I said that I needed the motion sensor, but they haven't sent it yet. I have a contract with them for three years, so I can’t go anywhere.
The installation was hard. I asked the lady where to put the sensor. She explained to me to put it four feet from the bottom and it should be in the middle of something. I have a convenience store, so each and every product will be in the middle of something. I put the sensor near to the door. If I put in the sensors the wrong way, then if somebody comes and robs the whole store, I wouldn't know. So if Frontpoint came and installed the system, that would have been the best thing. Plus, they are at the same price as ADT or another local company that will come and put their system up. I don’t know how the security system and sensors work. Nonetheless, the system's features are okay and the equipment's quality is good.

The features offered in my system are relatively basic. I wasn't looking for anything too crazy or high-end, but there's some technology that Frontpoint doesn't have that other systems do. But it's all online-based and their phone support is top-notch. I activate and disarm my system all the time using the smartphone features. When I'm away or traveling, the system gives me a general peace of mind. Having the app on my phone certainly helps me tether to it a lot quicker. The fact that you can install the equipment yourself is good and so far, everything seems to be working outstandingly. I was impressed and I like the features so much that I talked with my wife about getting the system for our own home.
We used a different security system in the store before Frontpoint and a nice little touch that our old system didn't have is the wireless communication. With Frontpoint, you can program different notifications into the system and have it beep your phone if you’ve left doors open or if you forgot to arm it. I also like the quickness of the system versus most of other typical alarms that notify the authorities, then the authorities come and walk around, photograph the windows, and call you about what's going on. Frontpoint's system instantly tells me what is going on and I don’t have to wait for the police to show up if something was to happen. I could be en route as it’s happening and make a decision myself.
Frontpoint has some very good products that allow customers to pinpoint some of the security concerns that a lot of homes or businesses would have. I like the idea that the system has the roll-up door, window, noise, and glass shattering sensors. Once, I called Frontpoint because I thought that the alarm was malfunctioning. It turned out that the battery of the old alarm system sitting next to it was going out. They were a great help and resolved that quickly. Customer service was great and accommodated me by not charging for the first month when the equipment wasn’t set up. They were helpful too if I had any questions when they called.
The installation was a stick-and-go process and the instructions were very simple. The features included in our system are great and I like the touch screen monitor which is very easy to use. We'll probably use the smartphone app when we’re on vacation or we’re gone for a long period of time where no one is there to check the house. But if we were gone for a day, like for a movie at night, I’m not looking if anyone's staking out my house because I have cameras already in my house too. If I need to check on something, I would just check the cameras. The Frontpoint system was exactly what I needed. However, I would have liked our monthly payment to be a little bit lower. ADT is charging $27 compared to the $44 we paid. I bought the Frontpoint system itself for $99. It's a great cost but I’m not really complaining. Overall, I highly recommend it.

But then, we don't have a fancy touch screen like we used to and that's a turn-off. Still, that doesn’t matter because we really just use the phone. That’s a positive thing because we tend to use the system more that way.
However, I still prefer the other system that we had because it allowed us to hear which door was being opened. And as soon as the alarm was put on, if someone was to open a door, it will blast off. On the other hand, with the Frontpoint system, it's just like a normal ring if someone is opening the door and the alarm is off. My husband did the installation and it could be the setup that he has not changed yet. We did a research online and the reviews that I saw from other customers about Frontpoint were glowing and positive. They had a lot of features that we particularly wanted. And they had advertised an easy installation process, and it was.
Their reps have been great. I talked to somebody in the initial process of purchasing a particular package with all the features and they were super helpful in getting us through the process. I had changed my mind by the end of our conversation about what I was going to get and it was easy to make the changes we needed to make to upgrade to a different package. I called tech support for the initial installation because I was having some trouble with some of my sensors and they were super helpful. They helped me see what I was missing and getting them set up in the right space.
I did customize the system and everything that we've used so far has been really great and we are really pleased. The monthly payment is about what I was hoping to pay and then they had a super low installation cost so it was a great deal altogether, cost-wise. And it still is. I would encourage others to consider getting Frontpoint. It probably has everything they need. They could also make choices and options to customize to whatever they need or they could leave off whatever they don’t need. Also, the cost is super reasonable compared to other security companies. And they’ve got some benefits that other places don’t seem to have from everything I’ve read.

I had ADT before and every couple of months, my alarm would go off two or three times within a week. I have a 14 and a 16-year-old cat and ADT would always say that it was them. My cats are old and they’re not fit and peppy every couple of months. I wasn’t feeling safe in my home anymore because I don’t know if I was having a false alarm or not. I did some research online and saw Frontpoint, and I decided to switch. Their sales rep was really friendly and very helpful. I told him what my needs were and he tried to work it out to where it was most cost-effective for me while also getting what I needed.
Some parts of the installation were a little frustrating, like getting the system onto the wall. I felt like we were missing something in the instructions, and we had to call and have a guy walk us through. He was great, funny and very patient with me and my godsister. I have a camera in my front porch and in my back porch. The motion trigger works really well on my back porch. Although I don’t have it set up on the front porch because it’d just get cars, I feel a lot more secure in my home. It went off once and it was fine. The smart features are good as well. Although ADT’s stuff was a little bit better aesthetically, I’m very happy with Frontpoint. It’s very functional and I like it.

When I did a research, Frontpoint was economically priced and easy install. I use it in three of my businesses for security. Their sales team was willing and able to work with me on the start date for the first location and then I was a pretty easy repeat customer for location numbers two and three. Its physical installation was easy to do since it's all wireless-based and the instruction included in the system is a no-brainer. It's also been painless since their rep also talked me through on the phone on how to set everything else up from a software standpoint.
The equipment's quality has been fine, but its batteries don’t quite last as long as I was hoping. We got ran out of it sometimes but Frontpoint was quick to replace them without any charges so it's not a financial nuisance. However, it was more of a logistical nuisance to request for new ones and then install the new devices when they send them. I also like its smartphone feature's capability, but it's not used extensively since I'm the only one that uses a smartphone out of all my users in my businesses. The $50 a month I'm paying for the monitoring service is very reasonably priced for the customer service and support I received. It says on the software that I'm limited to nine users and I wish to have more users. But Frontpoint's system does its purpose well and I'd recommend it.

Some petty crime started popping up when we moved in and although we don’t necessarily live in an unsafe neighborhood, we got a system for security. We had ADT about five years ago and Frontpoint has been significantly better. We really appreciate the fact that we were able to make the decision of which security system to use ourselves, instead of having a representative come into our home like our experience with ADT.
We had already decided to get a security system but the concept of “let me scare you into spending more money” was such a turn-off. We’re not scared people and we made a very practical decision. We said that we were not worried about this or that, but they were very pushy. It was a really frustrating experience on the whole with ADT. In addition to that, the previous owners of our current house had ADT and we’ve had people knocking on our door wanting to get us signed up for the system till 8:00 at night. And we have two young kids. It was awful. In comparison, the interactions with Frontpoint's reps were a lot better. My husband went through the services of getting the security system set up, and it was very simple and matter-of-fact. We told them we wanted a security system and they told us what they had. The cost was very reasonable too.
My husband did the installation and it was very simple. The equipment is great. It’s user-friendly and the response time is quick. I also appreciate all the different options. We have a different setting for when we’re here for when we’re gone. We’ve recommended Frontpoint and when people have asked about it, we’ve said nothing but great things.

We had a vehicle stolen from in front of our house so we decided to get a home security system. The choice came down between Frontpoint and Vivint but whenever I called Vivint, they would try to give me all this equipment. On the other hand, Frontpoint was very honest with me. They told me that I could get cams with them but that I could also get more cameras and hook them up to the system. They said that it is very universal and that I can take the equipment wherever I go even if I move houses. And we were trying to renovate properties and move so it added up. We wanted to stick with it wherever we go so it's good that we can take the equipment with us. Frontpoint also has the best customer service reviews.
The sales rep we worked with was very knowledgeable. I purchased an indoor camera and a doorbell camera but we didn’t have internet at the time to install it. They will probably install those in the next two weeks. That aside, installing the system was pretty easy. We got the equipment out and the instructions were good. But our phone wouldn’t connect to the system when we were trying to get it to sync. We realized that we were putting the equipment upside down on the doors. But when I couldn’t figure things out, I called Frontpoint and they were able to walk us through all of it. We even got it done within 20 minutes. The reps were also helpful and very friendly. They asked how our day was and we tried to create some type of conversation while they were waiting for stuff.
When I first got the equipment, I thought it was cheaply made but everything has worked fantastic, even the sensors that we have. If anything goes off on our system, Frontpoint is very quick to respond and I really appreciate that. Now, I always feel secure and we feel confident when we leave. When we come home and we didn’t receive a call, we know that everything is probably fine. Frontpoint is one of the cheaper companies that has good customer service and that’s the better trade-off for most.

They helped me for half an hour and it only took that long then the system was good to go. I like everything I have. It's good and the smartphone app is also very easy to use. I had moved into a neighborhood that I felt was unsafe but now I feel very secure. I would recommend Frontpoint.

The owner of the house before me had an ADT system that was not set up. Then, I live there with my kids and I figured I’m off of a busy road that I should have something to keep track of something. I did a lot of online research and Frontpoint kept showing up on a lot of blogs. It seemed to have good reviews and not that fuzzy. Then someone from Frontpoint got back to me right away and their price was in line with what I was looking at. It was also a little more modern than some of the other companies. And the representatives knew what they were doing and I can always get a hold of someone. Plus, they never tried to upsell me on anything. They just referred me to the portal to check out things. And I could start with what I felt comfortable and really felt out of the nuances of the traffic flow in my house and where I wanted to beef things up.
My boyfriend installed everything and it went well. I like Frontpoint’s equipment and I feel it is adequate. I started with the real basics and then I’ve been adding, as I’m figuring out what’s working for my house, like some indoor motion sensors. And then I got the Schlage automated locks too. I have been piecemeal adding things at my own pace, which I liked. The quality of my equipment’s feature is great. I especially like the Schlage locks as they are affiliated with a good brand. Also, the cost is fair with the system’s quality. Less would always be better but I’m still fine with it. Frontpoint is easy to set. I can set everything from my phone, and that the motion sensors let me know when my kids wake up. I also know where everyone is in the house. I also love the automated locks where I can lock everything on my phone.

When we needed a home security system I Googled good alarm systems and I liked Frontpoint's price and reviews. Everything has been really good except when I got the camera and I was trying to install that. The first person I talked to for an hour was saying stuff didn't make sense, but I tried it and it never worked. Then I called back a day later when I had some more time and it took five minutes to get it resolved. If the first person had known what she was doing I wouldn’t have wasted an hour or so. Other than that, everything else has been great. The features do what they're supposed to do and they're kind of generic. Also, I like the smartphone app quite a bit and I'm happy with the cost and reliability. We have peace of mind and I would definitely recommend Frontpoint.

The instructions were very understandable and good. However, it took a bit of time to install the camera and I had to call Frontpoint. They helped me over the phone and we were able to make the camera work.
Also, the quality and the features of my system are good. I'm able to control a lot of things over my cellphone. And the system is not cheap but it's the right value for the equipment. All in all, having the Frontpoint system makes me feel safe. I can leave my house and I would know if the door was open or somebody walked in it. I've had Frontpoint for two years, and I generally had no issue with their service or product. I moved in December 2017, and decided not to move the service with me, and informed the customer service rep I talked to, and made it clear I did not want to move the service. They said that I still had a couple months left on my contract. And once that was done, I would be canceled (or pay a termination fee which was basically the same as waiting out the contract). I was unhappy but ok with this situation, since that was a signed contract. Importantly, I was told it was taken care of, and it would be canceled when my contract was over. At that point, I moved and my old email was shut off.
Apparently, there was still one step where I had to email my consent to them to cancel the contract (even though I was talking to them on the phone)... Problem was that my email was no longer active since I MOVED to another state, so I never got those emails. I didn't log into Frontpoint website, since as far as I knew, the service was going to be canceled, and I had no reason to do anything there.
They are now claiming that since I didn't respond to an email that I didn't know I had to deal with, AND had no way of getting since my email was canceled, that I had to pay for 2-3 months after my account went off contract. They also claim they tried calling me, but apparently, they were ok with keeping on charging me even though I canceled the service over the phone, and there is easy evidence that the system hasn't been used since December 15th. They didn't try mailing me (I should have gotten a letter in the mail with forwarding service).
The customer service rep was UNWILLING and UNABLE to give me any concession on this, and refused TWICE for me to speak to a manager or anyone who can help me. I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU STAY AWAY FROM THIS company. I'll admit that I should have been watching for this charge on my bank statements for the last 3 months, so I am partly responsible for the extra months. I was not asking for a full refund for those 100% unused months, but just a concession.
Steven, we appreciate you taking the time to bring your concerns to our attention! We apologize for any inconveniences you may have experienced regarding the cancellation of your account. Rest assured, one of our Account Supervisors is looking into your account and will be reaching out to address your concerns in detail and make sure you are taken care of. I was a first time home buyer and I wanted to do it right. Having a home security system is a thing people do these days, so I chose to get one as well. I went with Frontpoint because I liked the flexibility of their iPhone app and I could build my own set, piece by piece. My interaction with their sales representatives was pretty nonchalant and was very informational but it felt like I knew a lot more leaving the conversation. I customized my service package and it started when I was asked about the size of my home and how many doors I have. Then I built my system for my need needs. I have a dog at home so I couldn't do a motion sensor and I had to get the right number of glass breaker sensors depending on my windows.
It was easy to set up the system and connect into the app. But the placement of a couple of angled sensors ended up interfering with the door. So, one of them came loose and I had to remove it. Also, the instructions weren't perfect by any means. In fact, there was one step where I had to troubleshoot what wasn't going right and that was a spot where I had to search around the instructions for what to do. The system with the keypad is also bothersome sometimes and it would be nice if it was wireless, though I don't know how that might be possible without doing some major electrical work.
Other than that, the app is very easy to use and the best feature is the log, where you can look at what times certain doors are open. But there were a couple of spots on the smartphone features that don't seem user-friendly, and things could be made easier by learning how to do certain things, like arming, from the actual system itself and not from the app. At the moment, the only way I know how to silent arm it is through my app but I'm sure there's a way to do it from the system as well. So, Frontpoint should talk their clients through on how to use the different features of the system other than just set it and hear a beep for three minutes. But since having the system installed, I feel a bit safe. And if friends would ask me about Frontpoint, I'd tell them it's a good set up so long as they are willing to set the system up themselves and take advantage of the things that the app can do.

I purchased a house for the first time so we wanted a security system on the house. Based on the reviews online, we decided to get Frontpoint. Their reps helped me narrow down exactly what I needed for my house just based on me describing it. I’ve had to call once or twice for a better spot and they were able to fix it right away. There was also a time when I needed to have my main monitor pushed out and I had to get the carbon monoxide sensor synced up. I just called in and whoever they linked me to for that got it done in a minute or two.
I chose the features that I needed and everything’s working great. The only thing feature-wise that I couldn't really find, but maybe there’s something out there, is the way to customize what you can arm with different settings. I wanted to leave one door out of the lock-in if we're taking our dog in and out and arm everything else. That was something I was looking at but it's not really a huge deal. I’ve had Frontpoint for less than a year now and it’s been good, so far. They have good sales service and customer support, as well as easy installation. It’s a good system, very responsive and I would definitely recommend it to others.

I was leaving town a lot for business and I wanted my family to be safe. I did a lot of research and I appreciated the simplicity of the Frontpoint system, the self-install, the low-cost and the no-contract monitoring. I filled out the thing online that I was interested and I quickly got a call from the sales manager. He informed me of all the products that they had available, what the systems entailed and what all the details were. Based on the need that I had at the house, he offered me a price and a system setup. Then I talked it over with my family. When I called Frontpoint back and requested an additional sensor for something else, the sales manager added that with no additional cost without a problem. So it was a really good and informative no-pressure sales pitch.
The installation was very simple. My son and I set the whole thing up, including several sensors in and around the house, in under an hour. The system was up and running very quickly. I had some technical issues programming some sensors afterwards and I got contacted right away by the technical people. They walked me through the setup and made it very simple. So all the interactions I've had with the sales and the technical staffs have all been very professional and easy.
The system is good. It's a little bit basic in some aspects like the keypad but I could get an upgraded one with the touch screen if I wanted. But it's trying to keep up to speed with current technology and it does exactly what it's supposed to do. The app works out very well too, and I get notifications when I'm supposed to. I now feel a lot better when I'm away from home. I leave my family knowing that they're safe. I got younger kids and sometimes they're at home as well so it's nice knowing and having that security. I'm glad I went with the company and I hope to continue the relationship. It has been an easy and exceptional service.

I needed a home security system as a preventive measure. I looked at several companies online and then talked to a Frontpoint salesperson on the phone and felt good about their price and technology, so we tried the offer. He did a great job selling me on the product but I don't know if he made a mistake or just bald-faced lied to me. He said he had to have a credit card on file and I was very clear about getting the initial purchase of the equipment charged to my card but not the monthly payment. He said that it wouldn’t be but that’s exactly what happened. Every month it was charged to my credit card, so it has been a little aggravating. And we don't live in that rental property anymore.
There is a function at the base that makes noise if something's been tripped. I don’t know how to operate it perfectly but it does some loud beeps when we arm it. We got a newborn and wanted to arm the system but we would also definitely wake the baby up. The only way we knew how to arm it, was either loud or louder. It would be nice if there was an option for totally silent arming. Nonetheless, the features offered in the system are good and they do everything as advertised.

I got around to installing the system but I had several problems with the outdoor cameras. We resolved most of those problems and then we realized that the problems weren’t specifically with the cameras, but with my building. They did not work with my building. I had to return the cameras.
I tried to order another doorbell camera, but that didn’t work out either. Frontpoint told me that those cameras were out and they would contact me when they were in again. When I was told about it, I explained to Frontpoint how I would want to use it and one of the needs was a security camera mounted on a tree outside the house. We discussed how far it was from the house and from the computer that would control it.
When I tried to mount this and work, it’s apparently out of the range of the modem and it just didn’t have the distance that I expected. I even bought a new modem to try to increase the power. I also have not been able to use the outdoor camera which was a bit of a disappointment. I told Frontpoint about it. This is at a retreat house and I’m not there all the time. So when I go back over there for a week at a time, I usually check in with Frontpoint and we work with trying to change the location and trying to handle this problem. As long as it’s close to the modem, it works fine except for the distance. I actually bought a more powerful modem. An extender might also have been a good idea but I did not buy one. We have several windows on our ground floor and behind the house. Those would be easy access points should someone decide they'd wanna get in. I actually have them on the phone quite a bit when I was setting up my system and they provided great customer service. All the reviews said exactly what happened. It was such a piece of cake to set up. The customer service representatives were really friendly. They answered my questions as if in a way to not make me feel stupid but also really clearly. There was clear communication.
The features are great and the system is really easy to use. I use the key fob the most. I have two crazy dogs and using the fob is really great because I just turn the system off, then they just jump all over me. If I don’t turn it off first, they might jump all over me, then it turns off. Also, I have a gazillion windows in my home and the system came with two window break sensors and I may get another one. One time though, I had a sensor fall off from one of the doors as it wasn’t sticky enough. But Frontpoint is a great product. I definitely could sleep better at night. But they didn't say how the sensor would go on the door and to match the two arrows. I had to call customer service and they walked me through it. Then, it was a smooth install.
But for three weeks, I kept getting phone calls every week that our home was not being monitored. I was a little concerned because I was paying for it and I wanted our home to be monitored. I had to redo a sensor every time they told me to and they would tell me it’s being monitored and that we're good. But the next day, I would get the same phone call. It could have been a faulty sensor though. The phone calls have stopped so I assume it’s been taken care of. Frontpoint had also given me an indoor camera which I felt was unnecessary. I needed the outdoor and I tried to have it changed but they said I couldn’t change it. We were looking for more security so we customized our package and the system is great. The installation was kind of easy too. But although they said the system works with Alexa, I have not figured out how to synchronize both of them until now. And I’ve been so busy that I did not want to take the time and give them a call. Because I had called and they said to watch a video on YouTube. But that video just showed they both work together. It doesn’t show how to sync them together. The package I got was customized and I chose it mostly because I really wanted the sensors on the doors and I didn’t really care as much about the motion sensors. Plus, I didn’t need a bunch of cameras. I stayed with one main entry camera. I might order another camera in my next place.
I installed the system and it was easy to do it. Although, I had a couple of issues. I’m technologically less experienced. I like the good features offered in my system. The system is of very good quality. I also use the Frontpoint smartphone app. I like it a lot and sometimes the live feed is a little lagged but for the most part, it's pretty spot on and quality is very good and easy to manage. Frontpoint’s system is the best but the monthly fee is a bit higher than some of the other places which are $15 a month compared to the $30 that I pay Frontpoint. But equipment-wise, it is relatively on the lower price scale which is good. It is a solid security system for a good price.

There were a lot of burglaries at a point in time in our area so we decided to purchase a home security system. I did an extensive research online and Frontpoint came out on top in terms of general consumer satisfaction in just the product that they deliver. I've been in touch with them via email and phone call. I was assigned a single rep, so I had a consistent touch point. They gave me a good discount in price and I got everything I ordered. The installation of the system was sort of a DIY and I found no problems with it. It was easy to set up and we're up and running. It was very simple and it could have been very complex, but the product they have and the interface they have online and via their app is very simple. I'm overly impressed with its features. It's peace of mind knowing that when we're home or away that our home is secure.

We had some issues in our neighborhoods with some break-ins, so I figured it was time that I get a home security system. I went with Frontpoint and have had a good experience with their people so far. They walked me through all the purchasing and hook-up process. If I’ve had any questions, they’ve always been available to answer those. And then, it was a very easy installation and the system itself is easy to use and doesn’t have a bunch of frills that get in the way. It’s simple. I like it. I use its smartphone features and I turn the system on and off and I like that because if I leave the house, I can double check and make sure that the system’s on or off. My sense of security has gone up since having Frontpoint. If the alarm is on and I hear a noise, I don’t worry, “Ahh! There's someone in the house!” ‘cause the alarm didn’t go off. Frontpoint is doing a good job.

The Frontpoint rep was pleasant and knowledgeable about everything, and he was able to help me out with some things. I was not clear on a couple of points and he made it pretty obvious. I bought one system for my son and one for my daughter so I have two accounts. I installed both and one took about an hour. It was a lot easier to install. We had a problem though because they had my email address for my daughter’s house and when an alarm would go off down there, I’d get the email. But after I called them and explained, they switched it over to her email and I don’t get the emails anymore. My daughter also thinks the system is easier to use than the one that her grandmother had. The features are towards the top of the line and I like the glass breakage feature. If the system hears the sound of glass breaking, it will go off.

We got a home security system from Frontpoint partly on online references that rated them highly. In addition, their sales and customer service team have been good. I was impressed with their follow-ups. I did the installation and it was easy. But there's a downside. One of the reasons for picking it was because it has the cellphone dial-in in case your network is down, which makes them more secure. They were one of the few that offered that five months ago. Now, everybody does. But Frontpoint's hardware is still kind of klutzy in which my wife commented on. It's Beige, 1970s-looking lumps of technology stuck through the wall. She didn’t like it for that reason. But that’s the way it works. Other than that, the smartphone feature works great. But we don’t use it very much because for it to work you both have to be away from home at the same time and you need to coordinate that a little bit.

We're a big family so there's always somebody home. But when we were gonna go on vacation, we thought it was a good time to get a home security system since we weren't gonna be home. My husband picked Frontpoint because they had a better price and he could install the equipment himself rather than pay somebody else a monthly fee where we’d have to stay in a contract. He was able to customize the package we got and had some input on what he wanted. And when he installed the system, he did it pretty quickly. It was not difficult for him at all. Their customer service has been good as well. My husband was able to get a hold of people to ask questions and get feedback on how to fix things because sometimes the memory would get full and you have to learn how to deal with the extra footage. At another time, one of the cameras in the house wasn’t working regularly and he had to get help troubleshooting that.
Other than that, I like our security equipment and it's worth the cost. It's also pretty impressive, the camera footage is very clear, the alerts are really nice, and I like being able to lock the door easily. I get an alert on the phone when someone comes in the house, too. I don't use the smartphone feature as much as my husband does, but with it, we can lock the door and open it from the phone. So, it is very helpful because if somebody comes and cleans our house, we can open the door for them or shut the door if the kids forget to lock it, which used to happen sometimes when they left for school. So far, everything has worked really well. We live in a very safe neighborhood, but if we are expecting a package, it's nice that when someone puts something on the porch, we get an alert. Then, if the kids didn’t notice, we could tell them to go pick up the package at the door.

We purchased a home security system because it's a secondary home and Frontpoint was cheaper so we went with them. Their reps were helpful with the installation of the system. But I was misled in the beginning to think that I got the app permanently for the price they gave it to me. And then I was surprised a few months later when that was not the case with the app access. So they gave me a few more months of the app access to cover for that. Also, they gave me some options like they would give me my money back. I felt a little bit manipulated but it was pretty good. The features of the system are working fine for me and I like it.

I always had security for my house because my kids come after school and they stay at home by themselves. I had Monitoring Center for many years which was a wired system and a wall model, and their service was very good. I got in touch with Frontpoint and I was getting pushed into a bit of the sales pitch of making a commitment on the phone. The rep assumed that I know everything about it and offered the package immediately. I told him to give me time to think about it and he said that it was okay with him that he'd wait on the line. I got the security system anyway because I read some reviews online and I felt it was okay to try, but I came to know later that they have options of one-year, two-year, and three-year contracts, but he got me into a three-year contract without even telling me that I have other options. I could have made a better decision had I known there were other options.
In terms of installation of the system, it was very easy. I bought extra sensors for the door and windows, but the panel has a limitation of only seven pieces, whereas I had 10. So, I had to call them because it wouldn’t recognize additional pieces and I could not do it on my phone or on my panel. They then did something on their backend system. The features are good and most of the time, I use only my smartphone for all operations. In addition, whenever I call, I have always somebody immediately pick the phone and explain to me very patiently.
While I was in the trial period, I called back Frontpoint and somebody explained to me that there are three plans and each one comes with a different cost, then I had a better understanding. I was able to get a better price and they even reduced my billing by $5 for the inconvenience. Cost-wise, theirs is a little high because it is a competitive market and competitors like SimpliSafe and ADT are coming up with so many promotions and they offer so much of equipment and sensors, a lot of things free for almost the same monthly fees. SimpliSafe has no monthly fee or no contract, but I committed to three years, so I’ll not worry about it.

During the installation, we had some interesting door situation but I called and got some help in figuring out how to put the system on and in troubleshooting. After that, it was fine and we haven't had any problems since. There are more features than we need and we don't use them all like the glass break sensor. I've never gotten to stick it on to a wall. Also, Frontpoint came out on top in most of the reviews on the internet, for what I wanted. So, I went with Frontpoint and installed the equipment myself with their help. The system works great and everything has been perfect. I had excellent interactions with the reps. They were easy to get a hold of and most of them knew everything that I needed to do.
I also have the business security system of Frontpoint and I only had it set up doing one room, but it was good too and it worked the way it was supposed to. The installation of the system went well and the technician helped me set up really good.
However, when we had SimpliSafe, it notifies us right away everytime the system was armed or disarmed. I wish that Frontpoint can do that too. I purchased a home security system with Frontpoint, and I did the installation myself. It was a little difficult because I had a problem with the adhesive that goes with the sensor. But with the problems I had installing, the programming people helped. Once I installed it, I had to call in to program it. Frontpoint's representatives are very well-knowledged. They know what they’re saying and what they’re doing. There isn’t a time where I needed them where they didn’t know how to resolve the issue.
The only problems I have with Frontpoint is when an alarm goes off, it doesn’t give me exactly which one it is. So then I have to hunt through the house to figure out which one it is. And if I’m not at home, I don’t know which one is actually down. Other than that, the features that were offered with my system were good. Frontpoint is a little expensive, but a lot of places are. It's been a long time since I started with Frontpoint, but I'm still in the process of getting the system set up in my part-time house. First of all, my house is in a somewhat rural area. I told the salesperson before I signed up for it that that was the case and the cell phone service might not be that good. He told me that they would take that into account and give me some sort of a cell phone booster. He was very professional and knowledgeable, but that turned out not to be right and I ended up having to get a different kind of base system. So, that was all kinda hassle.
Then, the installation was more difficult than what Frontpoint made it sound like it was gonna be. They make it sound like you're gonna be able to open up the box and pop it on and just watch the instruction on the app. And that's not accurate. Although when I've called them and asked for help on the installation, they've been extremely helpful and they could walk me through it. The cost seems fair too. But, the other thing about my experience is that to get the system all set up and make it work, you have to be in your house longer. I've explained to them that my house is a part-time house, so I'm not really there long enough to do it.

We had the house built with a security system but the guy that used to monitor it sold the company to an outfit up in Louisville, Colorado. The system was 13 years old and I thought it was time for them to look at it and see if I needed any upgrades. I was told I needed to do this and that even though the person has never even seen the system. How would he know? He told me that if I had a wired system, that was what I needed to have an upgraded system and it was worth $2,000. I asked him what was wrong with a wired system and then finally decided that I was not gonna put up with that.
I called the owner of the company and told him that I owned the system and I was leaving them. He said that I had to give him 30 days' notice and I said, “Okay. You got 30 days.” But then he said I had to have it in writing. He was as big a jerk as the guy that I talked to on the phone. I told him that his attitude was what killed it. They pissed me off so I went out and looked online. Some of the others were talking about big-buck items right away and it just turned me off. On the other hand, Frontpoint sounded pretty good and although it is a wireless system, they had come down on the price.
I put the sensors up, which just stick on the wall. That’s not brain surgery there. The installation was all right but we couldn’t get it into the computer on our own. I let them do it. The other system had a battery back-up and had all the doors wired. This just has eight sensors on it and carbon monoxide. It is an all right system. It doesn’t have near as many sensors, but it’s supposedly gonna work. The other system didn’t have any motion sensors because we have dogs. We had one that the dogs kept tripping.
I put one in our office in San Diego and it was hard-wired but computerized. When the trash truck comes by, it would rattle the windows of the two-story office building. But that computer learned that on a certain time and a certain noise, it’s the trash truck and it doesn't set off the alarm. This system won't do that so I wonder if I have this up-to-date. But if it will go off when somebody breaks a window, that’s what it’s supposed to do.
I thought the equipment was a little cheap. Everything’s plastic but nowadays everything seems to be plastic. They threw in a camera in that feeds off of my WiFi but it wouldn't stay hooked up to it. But that has been rectified and now, I can look in my phone and see the front room of the house. However, they could’ve kept the camera and knocked the price down. I just use the smartphone feature for the camera. You can set and disarm the system. You can also see if the alarm went off and why, because either they or the system calls my cell phone when it trips and as soon as you disarm it again, it automatically calls the house. But it takes a lot to impress me and it doesn't have all the features.
The pet sitters tripped the previous alarm and they'd panic. I would tell them to put their coat on the alarm and to call the number on the panel, which was the first number in the autodial in the phone. But this one has a verbal actual password. The other one was just numbers, 1-2-3-4 type. You can have 30 security codes in it so anybody that comes in the house can have their own specific code and you know who unlocked the door and came in.
The monitoring’s a little bit more but sometimes when you get pissed off, you gotta pay that. I was also a little leery that maybe being wireless, it would go to some place and then it would have to go to another place and then they get the monitor. But I was told that's only when I call in. Apparently, when the alarm calls in, it goes right to their monitoring people on the East Coast. These guys seem to be fairly knowledgeable when you talk to support. They're not in Indonesia and they try to do what they can to rectify the problem. It’s not a perfect system, but it’s pretty decent for the price. I haven't had it not work and it has worked a couple of times.

To this date, we don't even have all of the system installed because we've got to wait until we can get an installer since Frontpoint doesn’t provide installation services. We have to do self-install and it was challenging. I'm not able to do wiring of doorbells and putting all that kind of stuff in. So, we don't have the doorbell installed nor the camera that would allow us to see if anybody rings the doorbell. We purchased equipment that we haven't yet been able to utilize, so that has been a bit of a bummer and very disappointing.
Also, the features of the system are generic to any other system with the exception of the doorbell, which was a specialty feature that we had liked about it. In addition, the interaction we've had with customer service was just to walk us through and if we couldn't figure it out, we'd call them. But it's pretty much you're on your own. They'd do whatever they could do and try to see what's not working, and then you let them know you still haven’t got that in. I needed security for my home and I selected Frontpoint as my home security system as it was cheaper. The installation of the equipment was fairly easy, except for the glass break sensors which are still not working. I followed the installation steps properly and put the sensor in the proper place. However, I think the 3M tape which was given to me was not proper, and after that, the sensor fell after some time. After it fell down, it is always in alarm mode. I tried to fix it but couldn’t and I have also called up the customer care. They could not fix it too. So, the only option I had is to replace the equipment and I didn’t have enough time to ask for a replacement. Still, my system’s features are good. It’s important for me for someone to keep an eye at my home and I need an automated system which can call 911 or contact the authorities in case of a break-in if I’m not available. That’s the most important part this system provides me and I’m happy with it.
However, I’d like it more if I’d be able to split the system into different systems based on a part of the house. Like when I’m going to sleep upstairs, I would like to set my downstairs system to have motion activated. And then a part of the system that is non-motion activated. Then when I come down, I can change it on the fly. It’s like a dynamic kind of a system that I’ll be more interested in. But I know that’s a stretch goal and it may not be available right now. Since I had the Frontpoint system, I've been sleeping easily. I purchased a pretty big house and it’s new, and half of the time I had a thought process on what happens if someone breaks in when we are at the office as me and my wife both work. This security system has given us peace of mind.

We purchased a new home and Frontpoint has been far more superior than my previous provider in terms of the technology, the pricing, as well as the customer service. With the sales side, I had spoken with a young lady and she provided me very realistic information. I come from a call center background and I've made a profession out of call centers, so I do performance coaching. This coming from the industry having her not be "salesy" or pushy, just answering my questions earnestly made me appreciate more the fact that she was more focused on my needs versus selling me something. Also when I had received the courtesy call, it was during regular work hours and I was wondering if they're going to actually listen to when I say that the best time to catch me is between 6:30 and 7. And they actually listened which was good.
Then I had an additional interaction with the setup of the system. I had to call a couple of times because I'm not exactly the most tech savvy at times. I spoke with three individuals during that process. But everyone was extremely patient, very informative, and made sure that everything was working before even letting me go on to the next step or to the next process.
My very last interaction was when my SkyBell front camera stopped working. It just wouldn't connect to the WiFi no matter what we did and we tried all of our regular troubleshooting through the app. We finally called and the young lady that I spoke with was fantastic. I had T-Mobile for a bad service and I dropped the call on her, and I was like, "My bad." Frontpoint's rep called me right back and made sure that I was walked through all of the steps and once she realized we've done everything possible, she gave me the option of having it replaced. She sent me immediately the shipping label, providing me with instructions and exactly what I needed to do.
I received the bell within the timeframe that was expressed. I also received the label right away so I was able to send it back and then we have our functioning system. I didn't have to think about making payments and it's just automatic. And the system is not extremely expensive whereas the prior provider, I almost wrung my husband's neck when I found out that the only thing it was actually protecting was our front door. And meanwhile, we have 5 sliding glass doors. It makes absolutely no sense to me why anyone would protect one out of six doors, of which five are made out of glass.
The installation went great. It really is just impatience on my part and it's funny because when I write and teach classes, I advise the same thing, "Read instructions first. Read everything thoroughly before doing anything." And I didn't follow my own advice at that point. The multiple times in which I bumped into something, it was more user error than it was anything that was not well explained or put together. The way I saw it, that was more Waleska than it was Frontpoint.
The equipment is of very good quality. Frontpoint provided me with my own options and technology for pretty much half the cost of what I would have gone with anyone else. My husband and I were talking about adding some cameras in addition to what we have. It's like, "Okay, so if I decide to go with something that as long as I have that Bluetooth and WiFi capability, we are golden with Frontpoint." It's versatile. It doesn't force me to be with one particular brand or one particular item. I feel more relaxed having the system. I'm a happy customer and I'll give others the information on how to start up with Frontpoint.

I’ve always had a home security system but we were a little frustrated with the customer support of the previous company we had. From the time we started looking for another system, Frontpoint's salesperson was great. Their customer service board has been outstanding when we got the system installed and if we had any questions. Frontpoint is simpler to use and less expensive. Also, the cost is very reasonable and I’m not paying what we were paying before.

I had bad neighbors so I got a home security system. I used a different one 20 years ago but I was more satisfied then than I am with Frontpoint now. I do pretty well technically with a lot of different programming systems and understand a lot of these stuff. But every time I have to deal with Frontpoint tech support, they treat me like I’m an idiot or that I’m trying to weasel a new sensor out of them even though I only have the system for six months. And I have poor phone call quality and volume so I couldn’t hear half the people that I speak to at Frontpoint.
My only good experience with them was with the guy who sold me the system. Other than that, I’m extremely unhappy and as soon as my contract’s up, I would leave the company and not go with them again. I’ve been seriously disappointed. If only somebody came to my house and installed it like with the previous one I've used, then Frontpoint could blame themselves instead of blaming me. I would give Frontpoint 0 stars. In fact, I just dis-recommended them the other day to my boss.
Kelly, thank you for sharing this feedback with us. We are surprised to read the details of your review, as they are far from the Frontpoint experience and quality of service we aim to provide our customers. Rest assured, one of our Support Supervisors is looking into your account now and will be reaching out to address your concerns in detail and make sure you are taken care of. Thanks again and we look forward to speaking with you soon!

My neighborhood isn’t safe so we got a home security system. The cost isn't bad. My husband installed our Frontpoint system and the door sensor doesn't work. It’s the only thing that there’s no connection to it.
