In June of 2007, I purchased an Emerilware griddle. I used the griddle once in July, where the items I grilled stuck to the pan even though I used oil. It took me so many days to clean the griddle that I put it away for a while. The second time I used the grill it was December of 2007, and again, the food got stuck to the grill even though we oiled the griddle. I finally contacted the All-Clad Metalcrafter company in January to return this item. I was dissatisfied with the product and wanted my money back. After a week the company wrote me back instructing me to pay for the item to be shipped to them, where they'd evaluate it, and then give me a replacement. I only paid $43.34 for the item, it'd probably cost me more than that to mail it to them since it is cast iron, not to mention I am so dissatisfied that I do not want a replacement, I would like my money back. I called the company again after receiving this email and they told me if I wanted my money back I should talk to Macy's. I do not believe Macy's is responsible for the faulty griddle. I believe the company should stand behind their product and return me the $43.34.

Puchased the stainless steel cookware set in 2007 at JC Penney store in IL which included 4 pots and 3 pans with lids. I have tried everything from low heat to oils and butter and everything sticks. Do I have to season these pans? They look great on the rack in the kitchen but are terrible on the stove. I really would like a replacement or refund.

I purchased a new 10 piece set of emerilware pots and pans. The first time a used the cookware, the lid exploded. Clumps of glass shattered through my kitchen. I shook glass from the jacket I was wearing. I have small cuts and small pieces of glass in my fingers from the clean up. I had to walk through glass to get a broom, which damaged my floor cover. I had to throw all open food away.

I could not get all the glass from the table cloth, I threw it away. My table has dings and sctatches from the glass. Three days later after sweeping and vaccuming I'm still finding glass. I spoke to the All Clad office, which referred me to consumer services for emerilware. The response we will send you a free lid, it's on back order. and a survey.

Plain and simple...food STICKS to every pan that I use in the set that I bought. $$$$$$. My girlfriend suggested I bring them to goodwill, I said no, I wouldn't wish these pans on anyone. Buyer beware. My pans went into the garbage. I never even had a chance to use the covers because I am fighting too much to keep the food from sticking. I wouldn't even hang these pans as a display because looking at them frustrates me because of how much money I spent on them. My opinion 'JUNK'!!

    Stressed over ruined meals.

I bought Emeril pans about 3 yrs ago. My husband and I figured we would splurge and buy a GOOD set of pans that would last a life time, but the bottom fell off the 6 qt. pan. Thank the good Lord that no one was carrying it when this happened. I have a pot rack in my kitchen. All of a sudden I heard a loud crash. I looked and there was the bottom of the pan from the copper down, lying of the floor. My mind went racing, thinking what could have happened if someone was carrying it to the sink. The burn to the legs and floor, not to mention the shock and then dropping the pan and it's contents. Emeril needs to do something about HIS product. His name is on there and he should be making sure this doesn't happen again. In the mean time. I want a reimbursement for this pan... it wasn't cheap as far as the cost anyway. And now I am afraid to use the rest of the pans in fear that this may happen to all of them and I won't be so fortunate this time.

similar experience to that of Dana of Cape May Ct House NJ--2004...handles DO get too hot to touch. Also, when one of the saucepans boiled dry, about a tablespoon of the molten metal core oozed out. How do I know it will be safe to use? Yes. The cookware cooks evenly after it heats up but I never had these problems with our 25-year old set of copper-bottom Revereware.

The hot handles were noticed right away but we figured we would just work around it. Now I see someone else does not care for that either! Plus the core melted and what can we do now?

Regarding Emeril Cookware. I purchased a set about 3 years ago and I have just noticed that the bottom copper ring is pulling away from the pans. The pans are stainless, with a copper ring and stainless bottom. I can feel an actual separation of the copper ring from the rest of the pans.

I would think that this is a flaw in the product. I purchased the set at a Department Store so I know that I cannot bring the set back there.

Pans have developed pockets in the bottom of the pans on the inside. They often contain water. I received these pans on December 25, 2006. I am a bachelor and have only used them for 5 months.

The cost was $200 and I have nothing else to cook with right now. I can't afford new pans.

I bought the Emeril Professional electric hand mixer 6 months ago and loved it. I have only used it occasionally for mashed potatoes or cookies. The other night I was making cookies and the mixer went into high gear and was unresponsive to any of the settings, including ON or OFF. Now the only way I can use it is to plug it in as it will only go the highest setting and then unplug it to stop it.

I owned a $12. sunbeam mixer for 20 years and never had a problem. This was 4 times the price and lasted 6 months. Shame on you, Emeril.

My wife and I purchased Emeril Cookware as a wedding gift for ourselves and it has performed miserably. Everything, yes everything, including the non stick cooking oil you use sticks to it. Such a major disappointment. Here we thought since Emerils name was on it it would be top notch. Its garbage! Looks like garbage and performs like garbage even though its only a couple months old.

While using it on the stove, the pot heated up and the outer lining fell to the floor as if it melted and burned the floor beyond repair. It started the rug on fire and the floor in the kitchen must be replaced. It resulted in molten metal everywhere in the kitchen causing burns to our feet as we were attempting to put out the fire.

This cookware is faulty and we would like to see some reimbursement for the faultiness of this product. There was an expected degree of quality with this product and obviously it is not there.

I purchased the Emeril 10 pc cookware and NEVER will I do this again. Each time we cook anything but water the bottom of the pans (after cleaning) look like they have never been cleaned. Also, the lids get so hot that you need a pot holder to take the lid off. For the money that we spent on these pots and pans you would think that this would not happen. I thought these would of been a top-notch set of pots and pans, boy was I wrong. Anyone that asks me about these pots and pans I will convince them NOT to purchase.

When ever you cook anything but water it seriously stains the bottom of the pan/pot, (looks like it is not clean) some have a purple swirl on the bottom.

I order Emerils stainless steel cookware through my JC Penney Catalog about 2 years ago. I went through many exchanges because some of the cookware came defective but finally received a full set. I even order the additional pot through the emerilware web site.

My experience in dealing with the company is disappointing. I noticed that they had changed the lid from stainless steel to glass. I wrote them and never received an answer. Now remember they guarantee their stainless steel cookware for life. So I should be able to get a replacement parts.

As for cleaning their cookware it is the hardest thing I have ever done for stainless steel pots and pans. I would always have to use the stainless steel cleaner to remove the residue off the pots and pans. Frankly, I wish I made better investment with another cookware.

Every time I cook with this cookware, my food sticks to the pans, and skillets. I know it isn't my cooking style with over 20 years experience cooking everyday meals, i just hope that in the future if a star puts their name on something they use it first and quit trying to rip the people off.

The non stick Emerilware that was purchased for me 5 years ago for a wedding present is really not non-scratch like it advertises. Mine is completely scratched and they won't help me because I don't have a receipt.

I am writing to give a complaint about Emeril cookware. I have a major problem with everything sticking in the pans no matter how much butter or pam spray I use. Also, cleaning the pots and pans are very difficult.

Since they are stainless steel you have to be very cautious as to what you use to clean them. I have to use a scouring pad (which they are now scratched). The lids and handles get hot where you have to use a pot holder. You think since these are not cheap pots & pans you wouldn't have these issues. I am very disappointed.

I just spoke to Kim at the Canonsburg Pa. Al-Clad office (1-800-980-8474), I am having problems getting burnt all the time from the Emeril Pots and Pans I purchased a year ago for about 600.00. It seems the handle and lids heat up and you must use a pot holder to grab them.

I have had a lot of cookware and never had a problem like this before. For the amount of money it cost to purchase this product. You would think I would receive top quality.

When speaking to Kim, I am very disappointed there is no solution for this. I purchased the Black Teflon coated set with silver handle and all silver lids.

    Response from the company:

    Thank you for choosing Emerilware.

Heat is transferred to the lid (and subsequently to the lid handle) not only through the metals of the vessel, but via the steam driven off of food being cooked, or liquid being boiled as well. This is certainly time and temperature proportional. The longer a vessel is being heated on the stove, the more likely the handle will reach a temperature nearly equivalent to the vessel. Also, the higher the temperature, the sooner that the lid handle will reach a higher temperature.

Our design engineers chose not to add an insulating material between the handle and the lid itself for several reasons. Any material that would provide sufficient insulation would also be subject to shrinking, cracking, deterioration that would eventually lead to food collecting, loosening of handles, etc.
