I am completely happy with Choice Home Warranty! The response on more than one occasion was quick and easy! I've made two claims and both times the technicians were on time and very polite!

Fast service. No extra charge!

I'm pleased with how fast this matter was resolved in replacing my broken microwave... It wasn't worth the cost of repairs so Choice Home Warranty gave me the cost of the repairs towards my purchasing a new one... Thanks.

Currently just bought First American Home warranty. Not happy. Takes up to 30 mins to get through for both me and the service company. Finally got a direct number but only good week days. After getting approval takes 72 hrs for A/C company to send tech. Part of problem A/C company one hour away. Looked into Choice Home warranty. Depending on review website good to bad--Yelp one star, Home Warranty Review.com 4 star, My3Cents.com 1 star. Called Choice and started to ask questions like replacement, vs buy out. All of a sudden salesman was too busy to answer question. Forget it. According to Home Warranty.com Home Service has the highest rating.

They contacted me within 24 hours. I was impressed as the old warranty company we had stressed they did this but never did. Someone was working on our issues within a day or 2. We are very pleased with Choice.

The repairman arrived and began immediately to fix the fan. He was able to get it to run but it did not continue running. He called Choice Home Warranty and got permission to get a new fan and he installed it. It is running beautifully now.

Good and reliable service.

Had a leak under kitchen sink. Kintex came out a few hours after contacting, recognized the problem and fixed it within 30 minutes.

Service person was fast to respond, and had my air up and running in an hour or so, very happy with the service. Thank you.

The whole repair experience with Choice Warranty was excellent. Within an hour of placing the claim with Choice, I received a call from ** the repairman. He was cordial and professional. We agreed on a Monday 8:00 AM appointment. He arrived at 7:55 AM and was a pleasure to work with. He got our unit working again in less than 45 minutes and made a few recommendations on how to improve our HVAC performance. ** was very courteous and pleasant to talk with. I highly recommend the service.

My pool pump was making a crazy noise. I call Choice Home Warranty. Within 12 hours they had a very capable tech come to inspect my pump. Unfortunately I need a whole new one and my coverage was limited. But it was well worth it. I would recommend Choice Home. Very professional and fast.

When to my air conditioner stopped working, I called for service. They told me it had a leak that in order to run a test on the I had to paid to have done. They don't cover the leak test. Which is the only way to tell what is wrong with it, so I paid. Then, they tell me they don't cover the problem since it had a leak. Do yourself a favor and don't even think about getting a contract with them. Choice Home Warranty go out of their way not to pay.

My dishwasher was malfunctioning. Choice Home Warranty's decision was that it would be too expensive to repair, so I was given an allowance toward a replacement dishwasher. The comparable stainless steel replacement exceeded the allowance, in addition to the cost of the service call.

I have a property covered by a CHW policy and have been trying to get AC servicing completed. The first technician they assigned never showed up to perform an assessment. The second came for the assessment and never followed up after. It's now been more than a week with hot humid weather, and I have no solution in sight. I'm disappointed in the quality of technicians they work with. It's not a great option, but I'm considering finding someone on my own and going through a lengthy reimbursement process. I've spent hours of my time on this, and I anticipate spending hours more. This is not the way to do business, and I will not use these folks for my other properties.

Garage door opener - Online repair request. Contractor called quickly. Explained problem. They called CHW who authorized a replacement opener. Excellent service by all.

I am so IMPRESSED with the quick response from Choice Home Warranty. I had no problems and have am so happy we made the home warranty purchase.

Our service requests are always responded to in an efficient and timely manner. The service companies are pleasant and seem to correct the issue within a very short amount of time. After 3 years, we are very pleased with this company.

There was a slight delay in finding service person as initial company had limitations in their service. The subsequent service man did a great job.

Contacted Choice Home Warranty to put in a claim. They were real quick about turn around time with a service company. We set up an appointment and had our washer repaired.

If you're considering buying a home warranty, I highly recommend you DO NOT BUY from CHW. This company goes out of its way to NOT PAY a claim. In good faith, I purchased coverage for my home, which includes all systems (HVAC, etc.) and appliances. If you read the policy documents closely, you'll see that CHW has figured out what fails most and excludes it from coverage. My first attempted claim was for a microwave that had the door stuck closed (with a dish of food in it). Turns out that the handle mechanism broke. Guess what!! The door handle or anything to do with the door isn't covered.

Dryer and Refrigerator - Excellent service through the entire process. Courteous and helpful experience when calling about my problem. The service company promptly called to schedule an appointment and once they arrived at my house, the entire project only took a little over an hour for both appliances - very impressive. The repairman was very courteous. Extremely pleased and impressed with Choice Home Warranty so far!!!

I called Choice warranty about toilet stoppage, sink stoppage & a leak from my bathroom leaking into my kitchen ceiling. They sent a plumber. I am in Delaware but they send plumber that is 3 hours away in New York. By the time he gets to me at 11 he really does not want to be bother with leak that is happening in my kitchen. He fixes the toilet stoppage & the sink stoppage but now I have paid my $60 service fee & still do not have my leak fixed. He cut out the ceiling but said it is not cover - all pipe should be cover. I did not care if he could not repair dry wall just need leak to stop. Normally when cutting out drywall they do even cut. He just tore it out so cannot reuse. He was not too pleasant. This is what you get when they don't get someone local to do the work. Very dissatisfied. I called Saturday after off from work - on hold 30 minutes then tried back. Got recording they are closed.

Everything was extremely punctual. The garage door was fixed in about 30 min. Highly recommended.

Choice Home Warranty was extremely helpful over the phone helping set up my online account and entering my claim. The company sent out to do the repairs was extremely professional, on time and exceptionally friendly. I would recommend this warranty company and the company sent out!!!

No power to part of home - Has been fixed.

MY AC WENT OFF IN THE HOT TX WEATHER. Notified customer service and within 2 hrs, I received a call from Air Cool - ** who assured me that he could make it same day but late. I didn't have a problem with that because that worked out perfect for me. My AC was up and running within 15 minutes of his arrival and as he gave me his receipt, he said "Do not hesitate to call my number if you have further problems with your AC." Very Reassuring!!!! Love CHW. Outstanding!! My years with First American were nightmare years.

I have been a Choice customer for several months. Every time I've called always gotten great service. The representatives were always very courteous.

To all future/prospective customer, I want you to read this review before you decide to get home warranty through this company. I am an actual customer and I have made the biggest mistake ever and totally regret about this company. They will not pay for your claim. They will find a way not to pay the claim. They will make a lot of excuses not to pay the claim. I am telling the truth and nothing but the truth. Please buy somewhere else if you don't want any regret at the end. I have learned that people who make a good reviews are either working with them or related to them to get customers. People who made bad reviews are the actual customers like me based on our experience. Don't get hook for their false statement that everything is covered...ya, right! Again, I am an actual customer and I am telling the truth based on my experience. I am trying to save you money and stress.

Having Choice Warranty has taken a major burden off my shoulders. As a widow on a fixed budget, I know I can call to have my home appliances repaired quickly and affordably. Thank you Choice!

Tech showed up on the same day I filed the dishwasher claim with Choice Home Warranty, and they followed up via email and by phone about claim result. Great customer service that gives a peace of mind that the appliances are covered with a company that doesn't leave the customers behind.

Very pleased with the method of filing a claim, timing of response after filing the claim, contacting the contractor, scheduling of the appointment, arrival time and repair knowledge of the technician.

Choice Home Warranty was quick to find someone to service our leak. Although not everything was covered, the service fee is much more reasonable than many other warranty companies as well as the yearly charge for the warranty itself. Living in a home built in 1900 it is necessary to have a warranty and I am glad it is affordable.

My A/C quit working. I called Choice. They promptly assigned a local company Air Tech to come out. Air Tech came out. Bill was the technician that came out. Very professional and knowledgeable. Got my unit up and running fast. It was a welcome relief on such a hot day.

I thought it would take days to come out, but it didn't. I was at work on my break when I called the technician. The technician said he had already been to my house and finished the job, my mother was home at the time. I couldn't believe it. It was done so quickly and professionally done. They acted fast. I got a call the same day I submitted the claim. The service guy got home the following day. As it was more expensive to repair the range than to get a new one they suggested sending me a check for the cost of the service and replacement parts. So happy it was solved in two days!

The technician called first as he said he would. Worked diligently to try to fix the problem. Tried very hard, but the part was rusted and thus the fan as well as the compressor would not work. ** was polite and very efficient in his work. He kept me informed of the progress of the work.

Choice provided an excellent contractor to service my broken A/C unit. The contractor arrived, identified the problem and fixed the issue all in the same service call. Everything was covered under the warranty plan, and there were no unexpected charges.

The contractor came to my house the very same day I called re: a backed up drain. The Choice Home staff member was friendly and very helpful. Overall an excellent experience!!

The Service Technician, ** from PC Electrical Services arrived on time. He was very professional and I was very pleased with his work. He replaced the fan in a timely manner. I would recommend CHW to any of my friends.

I have had policies on 2 houses for 3 years. They cover nothing. Gas leak - supposed to be covered - not covered. A/C unit not covered because of electrical short - what is there to break on an A/C if it isn't electrical. Gas oven needs to be replaced - parts not available. They will not replace it. Offered me $250.00 go buy an oven for $250.00. Won't replace it. Please do not be taken in by this company.

Great Service from A to Z appliances. My questions were answered and the service provided was excellent!

I have had a warranty plan with Choice Home Warranty for two years and never filed a claim. Choice never had a problem cashing my check but when I needed them to fix my A/C, they denied me. The vendor they sent to my house the first time supposedly fixed it but 2 weeks later it was not cooling again. This time the problem was an evaporator coil that Choice said was not covered. When I complained, I was put on hold for almost two hours. I give up. Obviously their game is to pay small claims but when it gets expensive they will deny you and wear you down with long waits on the phone until you give up. Don't use this company.

Technician arrived on time and did not take him long to find out what the problem was. I would recommend Choice Home Warranty to my friends.

The claim was handled promptly and the service tech was working late (7 pm @ my house). The replacement determination was given within 3 days.

** was very professional and arrived when he said he would. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my dryer and came back on a Saturday to install the part. I would definitely recommend Choice Home Warranty based on this experience.

My air conditioner broke down and I called Choice that day, and the next day it was fixed. We just had to pay the standard service fee and everything works great now.

My outside AC condenser started leaking Freon. After sending a tech, Choice Home Warranty refused to pay the claim. They said, in their opinion, this 7 year old condenser failed prematurely and this was due to improper maintenance on my part. Really? How do they know this and how do I prove otherwise? This is just loophole for the company not to pay claim. I used to be with American Home Shield and they paid several claims without pulling this stunt!

Heaney Plumbing contacted us promptly. They worked around our schedules. They kept us updated while they awaited confirmation for approval for a new garbage disposal and parts for the toilet. After approval the plumber returned to complete the job. They were courteous and left the job site neat and clean!

The people I have talked to about our claim were very helpful, and professional. If I can offer one suggestion for better service, it would be more Customer Friendly if checks were mailed more quickly. Waiting for 30 days is not acceptable in all situations. With today's technology you could offer better service.

I've had Choice Home Warranty for 6 months and have not had a claim until yesterday when our refrigerator went out over the weekend. They sent out a contractor and he seemed sure that it would be either paid for or my refrigerator replaced due to the Evaporator breaking. The claim was denied because the Evaporator which is a covered part, broke, which caused a secondary issue of leaking. When I called, the gal on the phone rudely told me that NO leaks are covered. I told her what I was advised and that it was the Evaporator that broke as the primary issue which caused the secondary issue of the leaking. Her response was, "There is not primary or secondary issues here". I even offered to pay for leak issue if they would pay for the primary issue of the Evaporator breaking.

Every experience I have had with repairs have been excellent. The companies recommended by CHW have all been courteous, professional, on time and, most importantly have been able to handle my repairs efficiently. Customer service representatives with CHW have all been very friendly and helpful. I will definitely renew my home warranty with CHW!

Tech came out and diagnosed the problem. Friendly and courteous.

Had plumbing problems so called CHW and they scheduled a plumber to come out. It still did not take care of the problem so CHW sent the plumber out again. It seemed to fix it but only for a couple of days so they sent out a different plumber and it was our septic tank and the line going into the septic tank. CHW took care of it and all is good again.

The service was excellent. It was my first time. The dispatcher were very nice and informative also. Much better than American home shield. I am not angry. I couldn't get that to go away. I am very satisfied.

I had a non-functioning thermostat with a non-functioning ceiling light overhead. I contacted CHW and they assigned an electrician. Over the phone he concluded that they were separate issues, so I explained it to CHW and they assigned an AC repair service as well. Both techs came out as scheduled (quickly) and promptly repaired both problems. It was a fast, professional and pleasant experience. I will recommend CHW.

I am very pleased with the service I received from Choice Home Warranty. My unit not cooling, called them and they returned my call speedily. The people who performed the service replied immediately and came out the next day. I needed a part, came back the next day and finished the job.

Hot water heater - The two young gentlemen that came out were very professional at what they were doing. They answered all questions.

I had Choice send 2 techs to my house 2 different times... 1st one couldn't diagnose anything. 2nd one said bad fan motor. Replaced fan at 8:30 at night!!! Also guy was driven to my house in a Nissan Sentra - not even driving himself - also neither tech had uniform or introduced themselves as AC techs. Could not get AC working. Said bad board. He did not even call in new repair the next day & was MIA even for Choice. I run a business out of my home & was dead in the water for 6 days.

The technician came the next day I submit the claim and fix the problem right away. It only costs me $45.

I had an excellent experience with Choice. They explained the process well, and called when they said they would. They did have trouble getting a plumber for me, but made the process simple for me to call my own. Very courteous. Problem solved, and I am assured that I will be taken care of if we have another problem.

Everything was excellent. They call say be at this time was, came, survey problem and fix it. Thanksgivings.

Moved into newly purchased home and within two weeks, we had 2 issues that didn't come up during home inspection or appraisal. Our oven would quit working once on and show error codes and the 2nd issue was a leak from our main room bathtub. We contacted Choice and immediately they put us in contact with the contractors who would ultimately visit our house to assess the situation. The oven needed a part and Choice followed up after they approved the repair and the contractor returned within a week to fix. No issues since.

The tech did a good job. No complaints.

With my two claims for the Frigidaire they could not fix it. No parts but has given me a check in a month. Hope so. For my pool they are fixing it and I thank them. Very nice talk to. No problem.

I've had this warranty for over a year. The very first time I made a claim about my garbage disposal they tried to come up with every bogus excuse to not pay for the claim. I recently made a claim about my AC. They tried to tell me both units had the same problem and weren't covered. Then they said it was old and couldn't be covered. They are a slimy grimy company that will take your premium every month and leave you hanging when you make a claim so buyer beware.

We've called twice on issues with our pool. Both times the pool service company called us the same day and was there the next. The follow up from Choice was excellent.

This is our first claim and the people at Choice have been fantastic to talk to. Sadly, we have to wait a week for Sears to come out, but I'm not sure I can hold Choice accountable for that. My wife raved about how Choice was a joy to talk to.

I placed a service call for a plumbing problem I was having. They responded within 24 hrs - treated my situation as an emergency and followed up to see if the problem was resolved.

Leak was detected in wall between laundry room and bedroom closet. First analysis was that it was related to the soft water system and CHW advised it would not be covered. Once, plumber cut into wall and realized issue was not related to soft water system, CHW approved repair with no issue.

It took a week to get the appliance repair company in but once he figured out it was an electrician job, it was fixed within a day. Choice Warranty was fast to assign the proper company and great at responding to my problem. Thanks and keep up the customer satisfaction attitude.

Our oven quit and the repairman came out within 48 hours. Since the cost to repair exceeded the value of the oven we were offered a cash settlement. The only fly in the ointment was that we got a recorded message to call Choice Home Warranty about our claim.

The A/C company came the same day to repair the problem. Quick and friendly service! This is the quickest response we even had - love Choice Home. We have used other Home warranty companies - but this is the best sooo far!

I had some problems with some light switches in my home that were not working. ** of Power One Electrics was sent over. He was very professional and friendly. ** replaced the switches and got two out of the three overhead lights working. There was a wiring problem inside the wall with the third switch which isn't covered by Choice. I have hired ** to come back another day to fix that. I definitely would recommend Power One and Choice.

My AC unit was not cooling down to the thermostat temp. Choice assigned a technician and the tech contacted me and actually made it out to my house same day to fix. I have been with Choice home warranty for several years and have never had a bad experience, they are always prompt and even if the tech company doesn't do their part Choice will assign a different tech. I would recommend Choice to anyone who wants a good policy and a good company you can depend on.

After calling the claims representative and relaying my problem with my garage door opener not working, it seemed in a matter of minutes the repair person called me. I was very pleased with the courteous and prompt attention I was given by Choice and by the repair service.

They came as scheduled - did the repair and the washer works fine. I used to have AHS Home Warranty and after years of frustration, I decided to change our home warranty. This time, I did my research and found Choice Home Warranty to be the "highest" rated of all home warranty companies. I, immediately, called and changed companies. My home warranty dropped from $57.33 a month, and $75 per house call for any home warranty issue, to $38 a month, and $45 per house call with Choice.

We had a need to have plumbing services and we called Choice Warranty. They were prompt in sending very professional people to our home and fixed the problem to our satisfaction.

Last winter my heat pump failed and it was on a Friday afternoon. It was difficult to get a technician but one call to Choice and I had a tech in a couple of hours. The problem was diagnosed by the company they sent out and I was back with heat before my home became too cold to occupy. I have already renewed my contract with Choice and am happy with their service. There was no continued hassle with the contractor to attempt to deny the claim as many people say they have experienced and I especially appreciate that aspect of their professionalism.

They was very respectful and keep me inform about when they will arrive and I really like that. I did not has to play the guessing game.

The technician ordered the part, for the dish washer. It was on back order. He called to inform me that he would complete the job as soon as received. The part came and he kept his word. He was very cordial and polite.

Claim was called in, and in less than 30 min., I received a call from plumber contractor giving an estimated time of their arrival. Fifteen minutes before the designated appointment they called to tell me they were on the way. In fact, they arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled. We had a problem with the dishwasher, I called in to file a claim, they were very professional & quick. Within a short time the paperwork was done, within an hour or so a repair company called & within an hour they was here, diagnosed the problem. He communicated with CHW & went on his way. Within a short time I was called & told me they was going to replace the unit & the amount that they would settle for. I was pleased with the service & I felt that they was fair.

I had to place a ticket for repair to my dryer. The customer service from the gentleman that helped me do this for the first time was absolutely wonderful! He was very knowledgeable and courteous. CHW was really quick regarding the claim. Also, CHW service technician was quickly assigned to get the work done.

My dryer quit working. A service repairman was prompt in arriving at my home. He said it would take 4-5 days for the part to come in. He returned to replace the part. When the dryer was turned on, he found another problem. He was able to replace that part as well. Thank you so much for taking care of this problem. I had been without a dryer for a whole month.

Repairs on deep freeze (stand alone freezer) - Calls were answered promptly and service was great.

I have been very happy with Choice Home Warranty's customer service. They are efficient and helpful. The only issue I had is with the service contractors. They were slow to respond and slow to schedule repairs. The repairs are complete now.

I called around 10 am and the service man was at my home by 4. He determined the thermostat failed and replaced it.

Got air conditioning not working and blow hot air at middle of hot day. Small kids at the house. Very much worried. Filed claim and got it fixed within 3 hours. Proud to be a member of Choice. Recommended 3 people so far.

I formerly a customer of American Home Shield. Switched to Choice Home Warranty in Feb. 2015. This was my first claim. CHW handled my claim and selected a repair company quickly and efficiently on a Sunday. The repair company got on my problem quickly, diagnosed the issue quickly and accurately, and made the repair by Tues. Very happy with the results and at a lower cost to me than AHS. Glad I made the switch to Choice.

Sheerkahn Services for Plumbing are Excellent! They gave me a very fair price while other inflated the price of repairs. I had this firm come to fix a pump that was not covered by CHW plus plumbing which was covered under CHW. Both jobs were completed on time and with a reasonable means of cost. The serviceman was friendly and helpful. He also cleaned the work area upon completion. I would definitely hire them again! Thanks Sheerkahn!

We recently had an issue with our dishwasher leaking. I contacted Choice Home Warranty and notified them. I explained the issue and they said I would be contacted soon by the service person. I received a call shortly after from the service person who set up a time to come check out the dishwasher. He showed up on time and shortly had the dishwasher working. I was very pleased with the response and service.

I had been with another home warranty company and with the service we have received from Choice and for the price, I am pleased with our decision to switch!! And I am recommending to everyone we know!!

My central air would cut off. The fan on the compressor would stop. The air would still blow inside but it became warm. Service from the contractor, Executive HVAC, was the same evening. Service man had to order parts. Could have it fixed in 3 days.

I purchased a 3 year home warranty in October 2014. No issues until this spring. Turned on the air conditioner. Worked fine for a couple days then quit. I called and they sent somebody out quickly. The technician said even though it was very normal wear and tear, the A coil WAS NOT covered because of rust. I had to pay $85.00 to have this guy remove a few screws and say it's because of RUST and Choice Home Warranty DOES NOT cover it. I requested a refund and canceled my contract. I believe this company is a SHAM and WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone.

I called to request service on my furnace, as when I turned up the thermostat, it was not coming on. A repairmen was out to check the furnace and to order new parts. Within a week, he returned with the parts and replaced them on my furnace. I am very pleased with the services provided by Choice Home Warranty.

Choice Home Warranty was fast to process my claim and have a repairman out to the house in less than 24 hours!

Turn on/off valve for Master Bath toilet was leaking. Repairman replaced parts and fixed the leak.

Had what appeared to be a water heater leak. Received service company notice mid-day Sunday. The service company understood that it was an emergency and had it fixed in a couple of hours. Excellent service man and response from your firm. Thanks.

Very pleased with the service and the new garage door motor and remote controls. The technician was very thorough with his work and explanation of operation. I would recommend RJ Garage Door Service.

You sent out a c/s person and he was great - very good and said it couldn't be repaired so Choice is going to send me a check to replace the unit - thanks!

Technician came out and looked at the fan in bedroom, told me it was the motor and I was told that it would be replaced. They called today 4/5/15 and the technician will come out between 5-6pm to replace the fan.

Customer service was polite and friendly. I was told who to call and the appointment was made. The service person was able to fix my dryer but not my washer. That was on Friday and on Monday Choice Home Warranty called to let me know they were sending a check within 30 days to replace the washer. Only complaint would be that after receiving an e-mail to confirm, I made an appointment and calling the number, the person apparently never recorded that info and I received another e-mail and had to call again to straighten that out.
