Intermittent leak-Amana NO help! Purchased dishwasher model #ADB1400AMS from Home Depot online and had them install. 2 months later noticed cupping of the oak flooring along side of the unit and then water pooling underneath. HD referred us to manufacturer. After 3 service calls, they could not find the issue and basically said 'you're on your own'. They refused to replace the machine...said 'read your warranty'... To be clear, we also had a plumber check the plumbing and HD came back out to check the install before referring us to the manufacturer. We are left at this point having to file a HO insurance claim for the floor (discounted premium for -0- claims in 34 years will now be gone) and trying to decide on options on how to proceed. I guess you get what you pay for.

I purchased a basic clothes dryer, model NED4655EW1. It does not dry clothes completely in one cycle, no matter the setting. It also makes a mess when emptying the lint trap. They said I could get it repaired, but I don't like the model and they will not let me return it. It's bad company policy to not give a refund when a customer isn't satisfied. I will never purchase another Amana product.

We purchased an Amana refrigerator with ice back May 12th. In June it started freezing up and I dealt with just defrosting it. Then in July it was completely froze up again and the motor couldn't spin. I then had to disengage the ice machine because I feared it would burn up. Since then I have been trying to deal with customer service. They tell me they have to wait and try and get a service person out to look at it. Then they ask me to find a service person to come look at it. (I live very remote and there are none). Then they want me to drive it back 80 miles to where I got it. (Which means I have to empty it, haul it to a pickup and return. I told them no. Then they told me I have to wait another 10 days to see if they can escalate it. I waited for their call and it never came.

Amana is one of the worst washing machines ever. It’s poor manufacturing and it's defective final spin cycle. It spins out of control it until it stops, a red light comes on and it does not rinse. It will not work past the one year warranty. After the one year warranty the manufacturing company will send out a repair man but - You will have to pay out of pocket. It will not last past the two years we have had multiple problems with this one machine. It was just a waste of money for one year worth of laundry.

Top load washing machine. NTW4519JW2. This machine is extremely difficult to get an evenly balanced load. It violently jumps across the floor when spinning. Have used many brands of washers for many years and never had the problems that this machine has as far as balance. Now the machine will not shut off when cycle is complete. Probably something broke from the machine slamming into the wall and dryer. Do not buy!

I purchased the Amanda top-load washing machine, and it broke exactly one year and one day after purchase—just outside the warranty. I used it lightly, about 8 loads a month, so this shouldn't have happened. To make matters worse, dealing with customer service was a nightmare. They were rude and completely unhelpful. It's going to take weeks just to get a repair person to come out. Before you buy the machine check how far the warranty repair shop is from your house or even if there's one in your area. For me, they have to drive over 50 miles to get to my house because there's nothing closer. The machine won’t turn off and I was told it could be a fire hazard! Absolutely unacceptable. Stay away from this product.

The worst washer I've ever owned. It won't fill with water correctly, washing towels is a nightmare, and this was from day 1. This was a major purchase for me and I'm so disappointed.. I can't afford another new one so I'm stuck with this lemon. It made me give it 1 star but 0 stars is my real answer.

I have bought a Amana Stove and washing machine BOTH of which quit working after 2 years. The brand is not what I thought it would be to be made by Whirlpool. Extremely disappointed. Will not ever purchase this brand again.

I had a Amana Dish Washer, I got it in July-2023 and never works properly. Still today I am on call for about an hour to hold live agent to talk and get an update about my service request but all agent transfer to another agent. No one want to answer or give an update. Never buy any Amana products.

I will just say, if you want to Boil Pasta...good luck. I used my Kettle to boil water and Then put it in the Pot on the stove ,and the BOIL DIES!! And so will your Pasta... among other things, that need a Consistent Boiling of Water. Boiling water CONSISTENTLY IS NOT what this Stove does. Forget about Roasting a Turkey or Anything...the Oven DOES NOT HOLD a Temperature. Just don't do it. Buyer Beware!!!! Please don't put your money into this Mistakenly made piece of garbage! BOOOO!!!!!

I have been in the house I live in for less than a year. This Amana stove was one of the new appliances here. It flickers a lot. I called the Amana customer service that stated I had to pay $150 for someone to come out and check it. I lifted the range to clean under it. The entire metal piece broke apart. This is a horrible product. If this product causes a fire just know I wrote the review on here first.

The washer stopped draining and according to the company the filter is inside the drain pump so this ensures that you have to call their technicians and pay hundreds of dollars for them to come out to fix the problem instead of fixing it yourself. Do not buy this hunk of junk. Pay more for a machine with a separate filter.

This will be the last Amana appliances I will ever own. Service out here 3 times. Last time replaced some circuit or sensor board, still didn't help. Techs say, "It's balancing out the load," I said, "No, it's not." I have shut off and opened washer up. It's not unbalanced. I'm done with it.

We had a washer a year and 1 month and of course it’s not covered from the warranty but then hoping this would last 5 years. The washer stop working and we don’t have any ideas on how it got it. We called customer service for support or technical assistance but the person told us they don’t have a technical support and it goes to a third party which means you paying all the services. I can’t imagine the products never last even few years and the company can’t do anything to help. They says buy a new one. DO NOT BUY AMANA PRODUCTS.

We bought our machine from Home Hardware in March of 2022. For the first 18-20 mos. we were happy but now, after about 1/2 hr. the machine stops at the wash cycle. We have no idea if it went through the wash AND rinse cycle then backwards or what. We don't do heavy loads or a lot of laundry. It is even worse on the sheet cycle, shaking the machine. We now hate this machine and would never recommend it to anyone. We tried the online tips from others re stopping, restarting, turning dials this way and that. Now we have to put it on drain and spin to finally get all the water out of the clothes. We live in the country with limited water so this is really disturbing. Appliances shouldn't die in 1 1/2 years!

I bought my Amana range in June of 2023. Ran the self clean feature in January 2024.. The door latch wouldn’t release and got error code F5E1. Took off the back panel and could see scorch marks on the inside as well as on the fibreglass. Stove top didn’t work either, range was out of warranty.

Bought Amana washer and dryer in 2019. Washer has broken down over 5 times. Agitators keeps breaking. They finally put new one in this week. Dryer makes loud noise. They came to repair same time washer broke. I’ve never had such a crappy set of appliances. Save your money and buy something different. I could not afford anything else being a single mom. My washer and dryer have broken down over 5 times.

I have a front load Amana washer. I have had countless visits from repair personnel to try to address the leaks on my washer. Yet it continues to leak out the door and soap dispenser. Terrible machine. Do not buy from Amana.

I am extremely frustrated and disappointed with the quality of Amana H ac products and their customer service. (Cassie **). The fact that I had to replace a major component (evaporator coil system) of the system after just 5 1/2 years is totally unacceptable. The evaporator coil system was rusty and leaking freon, which is a clear indication of poor manufacturing and the use of low-quality materials. I explained to customer service rep. that the process of rusting takes time to occur and, this does not happen overnight by saying this the evaporator coil was defective way before the warranty expired.

Not a happy camper. Machine has yet to be automatic. I have to pay more attention to it than to my mother's wringer washer! Takes so long to fill I could do it faster by using buckets! Then, the water drains out, taking my detergent with it, without a discernible agitation. The clothes just lie there drenched, but not yet cleaned. So I have to change the setting from "regular" to "drain and spin." Then I have to go back and choose setting "rinse and spin." But it doesn't spin, so I have to choose "drain and spin" again. When we first got this machine I thought I was merely not choosing the right cycle or something. It took me forever to realize that the "manual" I received with the machine was missing a LOT of explanations about operating the washer. So I went to Google trying to find out what I was doing wrong.

We own a new top of the line Amana/Goodman/Franklin AC unit that has stopped working completely. We are into day 11 without AC in 95 degree central Florida, with a hurricane coming, and their warranty service response has been appalling for 11 days. I never imagined we’d need service so soon after purchasing it, and buying their best AC unit at that. What good is a warranty if the company isn’t responsive?

Doesn't fill with water, just sprays. Autofill doesn't even get them wet. Over an hour for one small load. The "deep water wash" setting is needed for liquid fabric softener, but sometimes it fills to rinse up to 3 times so I go through a ton of fabric softener. Cannot just rinse--fills and spins 3 times on just the rinse cycle. Eats jeans so I cannot get them out. Never seen such a piece of trash. Will NEVER buy anything connected to Amana again.

We recently moved into an apartment (unfortunately). Normally I personally only use Whirlpool appliances however we were only able to find an apartment in the area we live in. All of our appliances are in storage. I am ready to bring them out though. We have an Amana stove and dishwasher. I don't use the dishwasher so I'm not worried but the stove is horrible. The first night I was boiling water and the pan LITERALLY slid right off the burner! Thankfully I was able to catch it with minimal spill and it was barely boiling but my 3 year old grandson was in the kitchen. Our kitchen is barely able to hold one person so he would have been burned. I would have gone to jail. It happened again with hot oil. I hate this stove. Everything slides off these burners. Horribly made. Whoever invented these appliances...they are truly ignorant.

I purchased an Amana upright freezer 3 years ago from ABT appliances. Recently, the freezer failed and I lost over $150 worth of food which was in the freezer. I called technical support at ABT, and their senior technical advisor discovered based upon the information I gave, that the seal around the freezer door was incorrectly installed because the seal at the bottom of the door was bowed up. The seal should be straight across. The fact that the seal was bowed, created a breach in the seal causing the seal to eventually fail. I provided photographs to document the defective seal to ABT. ABT, in turn, contacted Amana to see if they would cover the repair due to a manufacturer defect.

Purchased a new fridge in May. Had unrepairable interns water leak. They sent a replacement unit. The delivery men literally dropped off fridge. Didn’t hook up, level unit. NOTHING. My wife received the delivery. When I get home, doors one inch out of alignment, unit wasn’t leveled rocking side to side and when I went to open doors the handles fell off. I called and explained I have $400 worth of groceries in coolers waiting to put back in fridge but doors are so out of line they don’t seal. I was told, "Sorry we will send someone out next week to see what needs to be done." Needless to say I’ve lost a lot of my groceries. It will be a cold day before I pay for this unit. I want either a refund for the amount of my groceries or them replaced.

Amana top-load washer lasted 50-60 loads. Repairman ($170) says cost to repair $700. Amana says this is NOT their problem. Will not buy again as this company does not stand behind their products to either repair or replace. I am undecided on what brand to purchase as many are under the same company. What happened to QUALITY? "Customer Service Done Just Right." I DON'T THINK SO. Such a shame.

I purchased my mom an Amana stove model #ACR4303MFS5 14months ago from Lowe's. Literally right after the 1 year warranty expired the stove started having problems with control board. My mom called a repair man and they came to check out the stove and said it was just a glitch and afterwards started working for 3 weeks then went out again. Here it is the 14 month and she tried to do what they told her to do fix the glitch and it's not working. Called amana and they said there was nothing they could do but give her 15% off a new stove since the control board is already been d/c.

I have an Amana washing machine. Whirlpool which makes Amana will not provide service manuals for their appliances. You must call a service technician for any issues. Once it is out of warranty, the expense will be out of pocket.

Do not buy appliances or parts from Amana. First their appliances break and then they mess you around on parts. They are scam artists. I recently bought and returned an uninstalled heating element and they are now trying to keep both my part and $180. According to their google reviews I am not the only person who has been ripped off on parts. BEWARE.
