I recently got a free trial for Sirius XM with my car. After trying it a few times, I didn’t really like it (nothing bad with it, I just like other subscriptions better), so I decided to cancel it before I got any charges… It took me a while, I had to go from the app, to the website, where I had to login and verify my account with a code sent to my email, then with the radio number… Then it was hard to find where to cancel, but I did… Only to be asked why I wanted to cancel, then sent to chat to a bot asking me again why I wanted to cancel, which then sent me to a person to chat and ask me, for the third time, why I wanted to cancel (after asking me 2 or 3 questions to confirm my account, EACH TIME)…
When I thought it was over (I was already very frustrated), they send me a long text saying that my free trial was still active, and that I could cancel any time, plus a lot of other details, and then they asked me if I accepted those terms! (So, not cancelling now, after over 30 minutes trying, but having to do it all over again “any time” I want)… I had to insist several times, and I was about to just send a last message, when they finally sent me a confirmation that my account was cancelled. I don’t remember any subscription that was so hard to cancel.

I bought a new vehicle and have no interest in Sirius XM. They send me junk mail every.single.day. They won’t take my name off of the list because their system is always “down”. Then when I complained, he said, “we’ll do what we can to stop the offers from reaching you, but in three years from this date, it will start again”. What? Honestly - who still uses Sirius XM? It’s antiquated technology and fact that they still bombard you with actual paper junk mail is evidence of how outdated the company is. Seriously- who is still paying for this? Are there still Stern fans? He was relevant in the 80’s, desperate in the 90’s, repeating the same bits in the 00’s and now? Come on. Let this company just ready in peace already.

I just got a renewal notice for a service I haven't been able to access for 2 years. I asked for a refund. They wanted me to pay more to give them another try. Never once did they say they would refund the money I paid for nothing. To cancel, you have to chat with a robot and then are connected with an agent who tries over and over and over again to get you to stay with them even though you can't access the services at all. No matter how many times you say no, they keep trying. This is beyond frustrating. We should be able to be in control of what services we want and be able to cancel without all of the bs.

SiriusXM increased rate of service without sending notification of price change. When I called to cancel, I was informed they do not give refunds. I would not recommend them. You can stream music cheaper through other platforms.

Not worth the money. They always raise the monthly subscription and never have real strong, consistent content. Podcasts are not made easy to access when in the car. Honestly disappointed in the lack of customer service for the cost of the subscription.

When my subscription expired, they sent a signal that locked up my touchscreen so I could not access other radio channels and threw a service engine code up that said my shift services needed attention now. After I paid the ransom, the codes went away.

The service was fine but you’re just basically paying a commercial radio station to hear mostly the same songs. Yes, there is variety in channels but many channels will repeat the same songs over and over. The worst thing is the cancellation and customer service. You can chat with an agent and those chats should be recorded on their end. I chatted with an agent to cancel service for two vehicles in September. I have screenshots of part of the chat to prove so.
The service for one of the vehicles wasn’t cancelled so I started another chat to discuss. The agent told me they couldn’t see any record of a chat on their end. When I told them I had the screenshot, they said they couldn’t look at it for “security purposes”. So I have proof they don’t want to see that should enable them to give me a refund in service I don’t want. Then they tried to get me to keep the service my offering a different plan! What a joke - they’re doing everything they can to keep charging customers who don’t want their service and even you have proof their system is wrong, they just refuse to look at it. Proof that there was a chat is in the photo.

They cannot cancel a subscription when requested due to policy, they have to wait until the next billing period which we all know is a load of horse XXXX. SIRIUS XM is the most predatory company to deal with. My credit card was charged today without my consent, I contacted customer support to get a refund and they said they are unable to process refunds due to their policy. I'm now disputing the charge with VISA. ALSO.... a big issue is that you cannot go online and cancel a subscription, you have to contact a customer support person who will spend the next half hour trying to sell you product instead of cancelling your account.

Promise a wireless speaker to reactivate. Never received. 5 months later Contacted them several times. They tell me it's backordered and it's on the way. Could not get a straight answer to when I would receive so I cancelled service. Poor.

The service was good for a long time. Each year, however, I would need to cancel the service to avoid a huge increase. I finally had enough and wanted to cancel the service. It was so painful and time-consuming. They continued to keep me on the line, trying to make more offers until it got very painful. I had to simply continue repeating "cancel my subscription" before it finally got cancelled. Be prepared for a painful exit if you ever want to end your subscription to Sirius XM.

They are horrible, kept charging my card for 10 years, they are able to get your new cc number from the credit card company and keep charging you. For an inactive account you got it they keep charging you. I can assume they make 200 million a year from inactive accounts criminal

It should be illegal to automatically renew at any price higher than what you have originally agreed to. There is no need to quadruple the price from where it was originally. This model should close. I will never use them again.

I listen to Alt Nation the most. The DJs are great. The song selection is poor at best. I can understand playing the current hits regularly. It's the filler songs that are limited. They play the same 20 year old songs in their rotation as if they are new. Once my renewal is up, I'm cancelling.

I read the reviews here first and it appears this company has a notoriously bad reputation. I contacted them to subscribe to the 5$/month promo an and tried to pay without a credit or debit card. If you want the promo price, a credit card is required and if you want to pay another way, cheque etc., it's full price $28.99/Month. They intentionally do this so they can charge you full price once the promo contract expires. It is disappointing auto manufacturers would install equipment for a company that does business in bad faith.

I bought a car in March 2025 and it came with a SiriusXM trial and signed up for it thinking I would use it. 6 months went by and could probably count on one hand how many times I used it. Fast forward to September, it came due to pay for the service and wanted to cancel it as I didn’t want to pay for something that I never really used. It’s pretty disappointing that the only way to cancel SiriusXM is by calling or using their chat support. They really need to be looked at further as to why they don’t have a “click-to-cancel” option still after they were in court for it. I went thru the chat customer support to cancel and although I understand that it’s the customer support specialists job to retain customers, it shouldn’t take 30+ minutes to get across that you wish to cancel the service, making you frustrated more and more to cancel. Just an overall bad experience.

I've been with SiriusXM for years. I renewed in August for the year. They had an issue with their systems so my payment didn't come out during the call. It did come out a few days later at 7.92 per month. September payment comes out at 28.99 which was not what was discussed. I called them after it comes out and they said the agreement wasn't completed so they can charge that. I said why even take money out for 7.92 if the agreement wasn't completed. I love music but I'm done with the games. They are sending me things for my other vehicle for $3/month but this agent today says let me get you a better rate for over $8. That's higher than what was offered the month prior during my conversation and what I paid for in August. No thank you. They are getting worse and worse.

I hate this company so much. Bought a car and dealer abused my privacy by giving them my info. Sirius will not stop sending me mail and emailing me no matter how many times I unsubscribe. They are criminal in this regard. What jerks would pay for radio anyway... 6 months I have tried to get them to stop.

I would highly not recommend ever signing up for Sirius XM. They should literally just close their doors and shut down. You guys Rob people of money even after you close and cancel your accounts. You still proceed to charge people until they catch it. It's pretty sad that you guys are even in business and apparently I can't give no stars. That should be a thing.

The worst! I signed up for a free trial to use in my car and phone. The app never worked. The radio in my car got 4 channels so I was better off using regular radio than Sirius. I cancelled my free trial well before the trial date was to end/renew. I noticed this past week a charge from SiriusXM. I then looked back at my Visa and notice I have been charged for the last 3 months. Right away I went to check my subscription that was, to my knowledge, cancelled. The only emails I ever received from Sirius were "hey, we miss you - come back for 50% off". So, never did I think I still had an active subscription.
Spoke with someone online who simply cancelled my subscription and told me to call the call centre for a refund where I was basically laughed at by the first person and then her supervisor. The supervisor said to me, "Ma'am, if you're renting a house but don't live in it, you still gotta pay the bill." Well, here's the thing - I did cancel. But for whatever reason it didn't actually cancel. I had no knowledge it was still active as I never once received emails in regards to the bill or a reminder that payment would be withdrawn. And according to their policy I don't meet any of the rules for a full or partial refund.

I do not recommend SiriusXM. Their customer service and marketing are extremely unprofessional. They continue to call numbers that are on the Do Not Call Registry, which is already frustrating and intrusive. When I did answer, the representative hung up on me after only three minutes. That level of disrespect and lack of basic customer service is unacceptable. If this is how they treat people before they’re even customers, I can’t imagine how they treat their paying clients.

I went to cancel my subscription today, since I have literally been paying for a service that I am not using. Instead of being able to do this through the app, I am forced to go thru the website...fine. Then as I am trying to cancel said subscription I am REQUIRED to deal with a Chat-Bot/Chat-Service to cancel my account. Spent 30 minutes on this chat service to explain, I am not interested in the service anymore, and that I am not interested in paying a discounted rate for something that I am NO LONGER INTERESTED IN!!! I understand customer retention, but going minutes between answers for someone that is clearly made up their mind and wanting to cancel a subscription is ridiculous.

Management sucks! They Play games with totally different phony promotions. If you’re not aware they will triple bill you when your contract is up hoping you don’t catch it. Their so called customer service which is outsourced to some third world country is pathetic! You’re on hold forever and when you do get someone the nightmare begins. Yesterday I asked for a manager. He wanted my credit card number even though I knew the last 4 digits. I gave it to him then felt he was about to rip me off so I cancelled my credit card seconds after the call. It’s always stuff like this when you use this service. All the management which is here in USA deserve to lose their shirts. I hope they go bankrupt! I hate these people.

It's amazing that you give them all your information for your car, your debit card, your email address, your address. They know everything about you. And yet when you spend the money for XM radio, you still cannot sign into your own account on your phone. They tell you you haven't created an account. They know nothing about you. I'm sorry, but that's a major design flaw in your business. You have my debit card, you have my email address, you have the VIN number on my car, you have absolutely every information about me and yet I type in the information you say I cannot sign in because the information is not right. I'm sorry, I created the account 5 minutes ago. I am not mentally challenged, I do not forget my stuff. This is a downfall on your side.

So, after my free 3 months, they talked me into a $6 a month service. After a few months I was checking my bank statement and was being charged $24.95!! Was conversing through text messages and the person I was texting with, and he was foreign by the way he spelled, said he would give me 3 months free! NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! I Canceled my credit card, so that fixed them! A year later, they started calling me and sending me crap in the mail. These clowns don't give up!! The repeated music was annoying. Have been streaming Pandora, for free and couldn't be happier! Take that Sirius!!!

SiriusXM has been calling me twice a day since I cancelled my service, which was ridiculous considering they have been asked to remove me from their call lists twice in the past regarding this number. I actually was hung up on mid-sentence when they heard the words "no call list." What kind of business is this? I used the phrase, "No, Thank you just cancel my service 9 times in the conversation with their "customer service." The call took 20 minutes just to cancel. BUYER BEWARE.

Customer Frustration Regarding Motorcycle Compatibility. To Whom It May Concern, Let me start by saying that I have SiriusXM radio in my truck and absolutely love it. However, I am extremely frustrated and dissatisfied with the fact that unless I spend roughly $600 for an adapter for my Harley (or any motorcycle), I cannot simply add it to my existing SiriusXM account. As a paying customer who has supported the platform for some time, I feel it is unreasonable that in order to extend service to my motorcycle, I’m required to make such a costly purchase. To make matters worse, other streaming platforms are already integrated into Harley’s system without requiring this additional investment.
This comes across as a poor business practice that makes loyal customers like myself feel undervalued. SiriusXM may be a large company, but these decisions matter to the people who are actually paying for the service. Unless this changes and you agree to send me or credit me for the adaptor, I will be sharing my experience with others, as I believe customers deserve to know how their loyalty is treated. I hope SiriusXM will reconsider its approach and provide a more accessible solution for motorcycle riders who want to enjoy the same great service we already pay for in our vehicles.
