I got my hearing aids over a month ago and the sound is more natural. The Bluetooth connection options are probably the best of any hearing aid. So, I can stream off of the TV and watch a movie with the wife. I like the connectivity but the thing that got my attention was the power of the hearing aid. I'm a little bit deafer than what Oticon could handle and I had them maxed out all the time. And I've still got plenty of headroom with the Phonak. They all have the little cup that goes inside the ear canal and those are virtually the same. A weakness of all hearing aids is that they don't stay in your ears that well. It's a floppy thing. I'm an engineer and I'm working on my own design with a little bit of a sticky tape that you would replace to keep them behind the ear.
I love Yes Hearing. They’re awesome. They’ve got a great business model and I endorse them 100%. I've become distant friends with some of the people that work there. David gets 100% for everything. He's called me a couple of times to follow up. I had an issue with the left hearing aid not coming online at the same time and he worked through that with me. So, I couldn't be more pleased.

I have tinnitus, which is ringing in the ears. I Googled tinnitus audiologist and several websites came up. I liked Yes Hearing's website. My experience with them was positive the whole way. Everybody I talked to was informative, professional, and friendly. They got back to me right away through emails or telephone calls. I went with Resound Omni model. I was looking for tinnitus features and I spoke with an audiologist. I told her what I needed. The audiologist was wonderful and she said, "Based on your needs, I think you'll like these best. And we can exchange them if you don't like them or return them."
I had tinnitus hearing aids in the past. Yes Hearing didn't happen to sell the brand that I like. The hearing aids that I got were comfortable but I ultimately returned them because I like my original hearing aids better. When people with tinnitus use hearing aids, they're looking for a pleasant noise or a sound that distracts the brain from the internal sound of tinnitus. I didn't like the sounds from the hearing aids I got. They had ocean, fire, rain, crickets, white noise, pink noise, and brown noise. There were a bunch of different sounds that for many many people are relaxing. But they just agitated me.
I use a different brand that is a combination of white noise in the background and random computer-generated sounds, like wind chimes. You don't get caught up in the rhythm of anticipating the rhythm or the beats. On the whole, the hearing aids from Yes Hearing were very good and nice. I'm sure many people like that kind of sound. I'm just really sensitive to sound and I got attached to my old hearing aids for four years. If I had given them more of a chance I would have adjusted.
Thank you for the positive review. We're happy to have you as a customer!
I've been wearing hearing aids for about 20 years. I did Yes Hearing and it's been fine. There has been a little bit of difference. I have the behind-the-ear model with rechargeable batteries. The batteries hold charge longer than I'm awake which is just fine. It's probably close to 18 hours. They've never run down. There are also a couple of things I really love about these hearing aids. One is that I don't need to have my phone near me to engage in a phone call. In fact, it doesn't have to be near me at all. It just has to be within Bluetooth range because the sounds of my voice are picked up through the hearing aids, which is really terrific.
Another thing is I don't need to even take my phone to receive a phone call. When I get a phone call, I hear the ringing in the hearing aids and I just double tap my right ear and it picks up the phone call. That's a terrific feature. Another feature that I really love is there's a little module that I have plugged into my TV. It's maybe two inches by two inches by a half-inch thick. That produces the sounds of the TV directly via Bluetooth into hearing aids and they're Dolby Digital sound quality put right into my hearing aids. This enables me to watch TV much more comfortably than I was able to do before.
I do have one little issue. I went in for an MRI about a month and a half ago and I took the hearing aids off and shut them down when I put them away. I couldn't power one of them back on until I got home and I put it into the charger. I called Yes and I told them about that and they were very good about it. They said, "If it happens again, let us know. We'll immediately get another hearing aid shipped directly out to you. You won't have to wait for that one to be turned back in. And then when you get the new one, just put the old one in the box and ship it back." They said that the replacement hearing aid would come to me programmed exactly like my hearing aid is now. I'm a little skeptical. But I just haven't had any problems because the next time I turned the hearing aids back off, it came right back on without having to stick them into the charging unit.
The hearing aids that I got from Yes Hearing are what I would consider to be one of the top-of-the-line sets. It's about half the cost of what my previous ones were through my insurance. They’re rechargeable. I don't have to buy any batteries. They come with a nice case that recharges and is a battery case. It holds a charge so I can charge them midway through my day, if I so desire. The hearing aids are also Bluetooth capable, which means that I can string music and my phone calls through my hearing aids. I don't have to wear hearing aids and have some other kind of device. I usually have to wear a device around my neck so I could connect to my phone. These are just like wearing a pair of earbuds.
Yes Hearing contracted with a hearing specialist that came to my house to fit my hearing aids. I didn't have to go anywhere. The guy was about two hours away from me. So he had to drive that far just to take care of my hearing aids. He fitted the hearing aids and adjusted them a little bit higher. So being able to adjust the volume is a nice thing. Because where I work, it's noisy inside, so I turn them down. But I can still hear stuff on my phone. It's really convenient to control the volume using the app.
My hearing aids were about $4,000. Do I wish they were cheaper? Absolutely. But I'm not sure I would have got as good a quality. Also, they're water-resistant. I was in a car accident and one of my hearing aids was sitting in water because they had cut the windshield out. It rained the next day and there was water in the car. I brought the hearing aid home and let it sit and dry out. Then I put it in the charger and charged it right up. It's been working like gangbusters. No problem whatsoever.
The only problem that I had is that there's a hearing tube that plugs into the hearing aid itself that provides the hearing piece into my ear. The one on the right side, the hearing aid didn't go bad, but the tube did. I actually had spare tubes here to the house. I had ordered some just to have a pair in case that I needed them. But I don't know what caused that problem. The hearing aids were still working.
The hearing aid in the right ear connects to the phone and it transfers the information to the left ear. So the battery in the right ear wears down a little bit faster. But I get a full day's use out of them. They charge overnight, and I'm good to go the next day. So I don't really care. Overall, I'm happy with the stuff that I got from Yes Hearing. I would recommend them to somebody if they were looking for hearing aids because of the convenience of not having to leave your house. They'll have an expert come out and see you. Later, I called them up and I got a second charger from them so I could take one to work with me, without having to constantly unplug and plug, and they were able to take care of all that. Everything's been good.

My hearing loss was pretty bad and I couldn't hear anything. My nephew had had Yes Hearing and told me about them. I called and went the most expensive route with my hearing aids. It was the top-of-the-line behind the ear model. I like it but I don't like is its universal mode. It's the one the hearing aids always default to and it always makes everything too amplified. Other than that, I pick whichever sounds the best or mess with it until I get what I want. I have to do that on my phone as I don't like doing it on the little buttons on the back of the hearing aid.
These hearing aids are 100% better than what I had, which was nothing. You just have to get used to them. When I don't wear them, my family knows it and they tell me. My son gets on me a lot whenever I don't wear them. My family likes it a lot better when I wear them so I don't ask them what all the time. These hearing aids work that well. But there is still stuff that I feel like I can't hear.

The Yes hearing aids are better for hearing, but it also goes through the batteries more quickly. I have the ones in the ear. They've been fine, so far. I would recommend them. They were pretty expensive, so I'm hoping they'll last a while.
I liked the price that Yes hearing had and I ended up getting their Phonak model. The cost was fair compared to other places. The people I've communicated with on the phone have been excellent. My only issue is nobody explained cleaning, maintenance, or anything like that with the devices. I get a pop-up in the app saying I need to change a wax filter. I have these discs but they don't seem to change anything. I don't know what the periodic cleaning is and what the best way to clean them is. I never got any of that from the home visit.

Going through Yes Hearing was cheaper than if I was going through my audiologist. The one drawback to it is once you purchase the hearing aids, you have a three-year warranty on them and if I need to have them corrected, I have to pay for them to turn around and deal with it. So I've been dealing with it myself.
High-pitched sounds were muddled to me. Without my hearing aids, I can pretty well tell what people are saying as long as I'm looking at them. But after I got my Yes Hearing aids, they were just fantastic. My audiologist was selling the very same hearing aids for over 6,000, and Yes was under 4,000. Yes sends out an audiologist who sets things up, shows you how to set up the programming, and then they can do remote programming from there. There's also a way to connect remotely. When I had one little issue, they were very responsive. They came out that afternoon and resolved it. Everything has been good since.
The only challenge with any hearing aid is when you're in a high noise area with a lot of reflection. It could be where there's a lot of tinkling glassware, a lot of conversation and whatnot with an overlay of music in the background. But you can tune these hearing aids with different programs, which I've already set up. You just set the program, select the program that you pre-configured, and it does the adjustments. That seems to help mitigate some of the challenges.

My hearing was getting pretty bad. I noticed that if I were standing in a group, I couldn't tell what they were saying. I had gone to a couple of local audiologists and got the same report from both of them. I found Yes Hearing and sent them my audiology report. There are hundreds of hearing aids, four models in each brand. I asked for their recommendation and their staff recommended the Oticon for my particular hearing loss. I had PhD hearing specialist call me and we went through a bunch of things. That was all remote and that was quicker. I bought the top-of-the-line hearing aids and Yes Hearing sent out the audiologist and fitted me. I've been really happy with it. When I needed supplies, the service was really good. Now, I can stand in the crowd here and hear everybody. I can tell what they're saying. Before, I just realized I haven't got a clue about what anybody was saying. I've told several people about Yes Hearing.
