How does SkinnyRx work?

SkinnyRx works by connecting you with a licensed medical provider, who reviews your eligibility for GLP-1 weight loss medication. If you qualify, the provider sends your prescription to a compounding pharmacy (a pharmacy that prepares medication formulations specifically for each patient). From there, your medication ships free to your door. Here’s a step-by-step guide on the process:

  1. You’ll complete a health intake quiz. A licensed provider will review your information to determine eligibility. If approved, you may receive a prescription directly or be scheduled for a video consultation at no extra cost.
  2. Once your prescription is finalized, your medication ships overnight from FDA-regulated U.S. pharmacies. You’ll receive tracking updates by text and email.
  3. You’ll have unlimited access to the patient portal for questions, dosage adjustments or side effect concerns.
  4. At the end of each month, you’ll fill out a refill form to continue treatment. Your provider will confirm eligibility before shipping.

You can cancel future shipments at any time. To avoid charges, make sure to cancel before your next refill is prepared.

SkinnyRx weight loss medications

SkinnyRx offers compounded GLP-1 medications designed to support weight loss by regulating appetite, improving insulin sensitivity and slowing digestion.

These treatments contain the same active ingredients found in brand-name drugs like Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro and Zepbound, but they’re prepared by FDA-registered compounding pharmacies and prescribed when clinically appropriate. SkinnyRx offers these weight loss medication options:

  • Injectable semaglutide: A once-weekly subcutaneous (under the skin) injection.
  • Sublingual semaglutide: A liquid taken daily that dissolves under the tongue (sublingual).
  • Semaglutide tablets: A tablet taken by mouth and absorbed through the digestive tract.
  • Tirzepatide tablets: A dual-action GLP-1/GIP compound taken by mouth.

The only thing I have lost after 2 months on the medication is $800.00 and 4 lbs. I attempted to call skinny RX and I am not sure where the answering service is but pretty sure it is in India or China. I have yet to get a response back and it has been weeks of calling and messaging. Do yourself a favor and use a real company. This one is a SCAM!!

Discussed with SkinnyRx and included with my onboarding documentation to continue my current medication dosage (10mg) and would transfer my membership to them. Afterwards, they sent me an email stating they were going to ship me a starter dose (2mg). I called immediately and told them not to ship unless they could continue with my current treatment. They agreed and said they would not ship until we discuss it. Two days later they ship the starter dose. Waste of time, money, and progress. Incompetent and cookie cutter approach. Since they shipped, there is no recourse and I have to pay their fees.
