Harassing co. They send me fifteen to twenty emails a day, do yourself a favor and order nothing from them.. I have no interest in this stupid crap. I've blocked them, I delete them, etc. but they keep coming.

I am a customer in my 60s and tried this subscription hair-loss service for a short period. The product did not work for me, so I cancelled my subscription in October and believed it was fully terminated.
On January 27, I received a text stating a renewal order was about to be processed. I immediately logged in and cancelled again before shipment occurred. The order status at that time showed the package was still in the company’s warehouse and had not yet been picked up by USPS.
Despite cancelling before shipment, the company still charged my credit card. I contacted customer service right away and requested both a refund and that the order be pulled before shipping. They refused. Only after I complained further did they release the package for shipment — but they still denied any refund and would not accept a return, even if unopened. My concerns are about the process, not just the product:
* Cancellation did not reliably stop renewal billing* Charges were processed after cancellation attempts
* The company would not intercept an unshipped order
* No grace-period refund window was offered
* Returns were refused even for unopened product
Consumers should also be aware that the company is currently under FTC investigation regarding its auto-renewal, cancellation, and refund policies and practices.
In my experience, these subscription and renewal procedures are not consumer-friendly and place customers at a disadvantage — especially older consumers who rely on cancellation confirmations and order status information.
I have filed complaints with my card issuer, the BBB, my state consumer office, and federal regulators. I encourage others to read the renewal and cancellation terms very carefully before subscribing.

1 month and several calls and emails with Hims and I'm still waiting on my order to even be started! Very poor service, they claim is the result of switching to a new pharmacy called Strive.

Just like the other reviews state. Was charged all the money up front without being able to verify it was actually going to work. Then the no refund policy, which is vague at best. 3 months into the “testosterone treatment” and it’s not working, having even worse symptoms. The labs showed that my estrogen levels had escalated so much that it was cancelling out any T gains. When asked about it they tried to push a higher dose but that would only push more estrogen. When I confronted them about it they mentioned the treatment wasn’t right for me…. When I asked about a refund they said no refunds. So basically out $900 for worse symptoms. Do yourself a favor and just get injections and skip the headache.

I was sent the pills for hair growth and started taking them as instructed. Shortly after, I began experiencing one of the first effects they warn you about: rapid shedding. According to them, this is supposed to happen because the “bad” hair is being shed, so new, stronger hair can grow in its place. After about a month of taking the pills, I started having frequent headaches. At first, I didn’t think much of it and assumed it could be caused by stress, long hours on the computer, bad posture, or even a bad move at the gym. However, the headaches continued for several weeks, so I decided to stop taking the pills. After a couple of days, the headaches completely went away and stayed gone for about a week.
To confirm whether the pills were the cause, I started taking them again. Sure enough, the headaches came back, so I stopped the treatment permanently. Around the same time, I received a survey from Hims asking how the treatment was going, whether it was working, and if I was experiencing any side effects. I honestly reported both the shedding and the headaches, and they advised me to stop the treatment immediately. Someone then contacted me regarding my responses and asked if I would like to try the spray instead. I said I would consider it, but only if I did not have to pay again, since I had already paid a significant amount for a five-month supply of the pills.
The next message I received was from a “licensed nurse practitioner” stating that the spray had been prescribed and shipped. I replied immediately, saying that I did not approve the purchase. The next day, I saw a charge on my credit card. I contacted them again, clearly stating that I did not consent to buying another treatment and should not have been charged.
Their response was that since the product had already been shipped, there was nothing they could do. After several back-and-forth messages trying to return the spray, I kept receiving the same response over and over, with no real solution offered. At that point, it became clear that their priority is selling, not the customer. Whether the product works or not doesn’t seem to matter. Whether it causes headaches or other side effects doesn’t seem to matter either. And as for the “licensed nurse practitioner” — how am I supposed to verify that this person is real and not just a customer service or sales representative using a title? Overall, a terrible experience. Be careful — they will do or say whatever they need to do to take your money.

By design their technology does not let you change or cancel a prescription that they write without consulting with you first. They wrote the wrong prescription and then I was unable to cancel it and they charged me over $1,000 which I'm now trying to get refunded. They are hardly responsive and when they are they clearly want to keep my money and not fix it. I thought this would be a simple straightforward experience and it turned out to be horrible mismanaged scam artists.

I bought a 6 month supply of Hims for hair growth. The product did not have the results it promised. I did not want to sign up for a recurring subscription. If this was listed, it was in fine print and very deceptive. I got an email stating they were sending the product via my subscription. The item had not been shipped out and I called their customer service within 5 minutes of getting the email. I explained they product did not work and has bad side effects. I also explained that I DID NOT sign up for a subscription and it was very deceptive. The customer service person could care less. I did not click a box or state I wanted to have a recurring subscription. This company is deceptive and dishonest. I filed a chargeback with my Amex. Beware of this way they rip you off!

They will cancel your order without letting you know. Even if you plan a trip with airline & hotel to pick it up. It does not matter to them. Customer service/doctors do not care about you! They don't even read your messages to them.

Save yourself the headache—go through an actual doctor or a pharmacy that gives a damn. Hims is only good for easy selfies and upsells; the second you need real help, they show you how little they actually care. Never again.

Finally, they refunded me my money. Buyers be careful that you are not subscribed without your knowledge or by mistake because you will suffer a lot to get a refund.
Original Review: Dec. 4, 2025
They have a bad customer service. They put you under auto renewal without your knowledge, or trick you by putting hidden sentence when you press to accept their policy. They refused to return it before I receive the package. And after they telling you that they do not accept the return they will never reply to your messages again. The funny thing they are telling you how to dispose the medicine because they are sure that you do not need it, because I gave them my weight and it's clear that I do not need to lose more weight.

I would give zero stars. I could get the ED medicine from many other sites. I tried them once in the past for a one-and-done purchase because I had never used ED products before and they actually had customer support way back then. Now, last week, I decided to try it again and was shocked how predatory their business model is now. There is zero customer support. I did some searching and found that they are or were under investigation by the FTC for the exact same thing I ran into. I made an inquiry within minutes of placing an order to make an update and Hims did not answer my question until after the order was en route. That is some BS business model. I will never suggest this company to anyone who of my male friend circles. Hims is an automated pharmacy company that is no better than a sham doctor scribbling prescriptions out of the back door of their station wagon.

I purchased 12 months of care and product .25-2.5mg available. At the 7 month mark they quit advising me breaking contract and would not renew script at the agreed upon progression of medication. Without saying so for legal matters they insinuated I just self medicate stating “we sent you all the meds” indicating no further care would be provided at the 7 of 12 month mark. When I began to ask questions and express my frustration they cancelled me and terminated communications.
This company will take your 12 month payment and absolutely unquestionably rob you of your money without any regard, remorse or will to rectify a breach of contract. My bank filed fraud charges and malpractice complaints on my behalf if that expresses to you the truth about this company. If you desire to use them, know if you buy 12 months up front, at 7 months they want you to buy a product twice as expensive just to increase your dose even though you have the medication. Shady company! Shady business! Stay clear!!!!

If I could leave zero stars I would. I had no idea I was subscribed to a yearly subscription. I simply thought I was on a trial basis and so I saw a transaction of $400 on my card. I immediately reach out to Hims and inquire in cancelling and a refund. Mind you --- the product had not shipped yet. There was no notification of an upcoming charge, and their policy is 48 hours leading up to the charge you can cancel and 'refund'. How do you refund prior to a charge? It is an unethical business practice, and I want people to be aware of shady customer service.

Hims is very difucult to cancel. I canceled generic viagra after 24 pills. I hardly used them and I thought I canceled online earlier this year. But on October 19, 2025 Hims sent me an email that they charged my master charge for another 12 pill bottle. Hims messaged me with legal gobbly gook that I could not return the 12 pills that I thought I cancelled. I was able to cancel future pills onine again, but I don't trust Hims. I will cancel my MC number just to stop Hims from charging my card again.

Don't purchase anything from them... I didn't realize I was on a subscription still and called them once I saw an email come through saying "your order is on the way" with a tracking number, before the product even arrived. I called and was told no refund even though I haven't even received anything yet. In fact, the product still hasn't arrived and they refuse to give any type of a refund or even a credit towards something else in the future. I was even willing to take a partial credit towards something in the future, but the manager said no. BEWARE!!!

Don’t ever start with this company as once you determine you don’t want the product they make it hard to cancel including the last step in cancelation just restarts the order. Try to communicate with them and just get a copy of terms that say we can do what we want. End result, saw shipment sent note that day, had not shipped but did not matter. No customer service, just want to sell high price products and lock people in.

Hims has been the worst service I have used. They will make you pay for 3 months of subscription without really any checks and balances or side effects. They claim to have a "doctor" prescribe but the "doctor" will neither explain anything nor test diagnose your case in any shape or form. They will neither refund nor change your medication unless you'd pay for another three months of prescription. Customer service is responsive with canned replies like "we understand" but they do literally nothing or take any action what-so-ever.

Predatory company. Stay away! Not only do the products not work, they lock you into subscriptions and do not notify you of upcoming charges. There is no customer service to speak with when there is a problem, they use AI. MOST IMPORTANT they do not cancel or give refunds. Use another company!

Hims didn't seem like a bad company...until I wanted to cancel. Then I went through REPEATED "cancel my subscription" tabs, and although I was sure I hit them all, I guess not? My unneeded med came anyway, and of course, they have a no-return policy, open or not. It's highway robbery, and they do this on purpose. I'd give a zero-star review, but it's not possible. FYI, they're being investigated by the FTC for these same cancellation practices. I hope you get nailed, Hims...

After 6 months and $350, I did not grow a single strand of hair but had a sore, scaly, flaky scalp to show for it. It started 4 months in and their doctor suggested a leave-in hair conditioner to help with dryness but that didn't help. After sending the second set of bottles, their follow-up recommendation to me was to stop using the spray and then they could switch me to pills. That was after the non-refundable set of spray bottles. Needless to say, I stopped using the product at that point. It is 2 months later and my scalp is still dry.

After using the Hims hair spray for a month I am facing heavy itching on scalp and also flaking a bit. I consulted the customer care and they denied for any refund. We will be in total loss if the product does not suits us. They say to change treatment to Oral with tablets but they will charge again for it. This is ridiculous. They are charging for up to 6 months upfront. Why don't they sell product monthly. If we have any issue we can stop within a month. They are gaining profits and making us lose the money.

I've been waiting for my order for almost a month, even though the website promised delivery fast. To compare, Xitromeds delivered the exact same product to me in just a few days❤️, with clear tracking and perfect packaging. The difference is amazing! When I tried to discuss that, their support ignored my messages. As a result, the medicines came in a damaged package, and I'm not even sure of their quality.

Hims did not work for me. While in the middle of an online consult discussing dosing and medicine changes, the auto-renew comes in and even though the initial med and dosing isn't working you get a charge and delivery of the medication that doesn't work. Zero effort to do the right thing and refund.

I purchased the Topical 0.3% ** & 6% ** 7 months prior to this post. I mentioned I have seborrheic dermatitis and did not have any issues the first few months. Then my scalp turned into a dry, scabby, itchy, burning, mess. They also sent two bottles instead of one but that was my fault. Hopefully someone with my condition will see this and not go through this painful phase plus a loss hair.
