What is Beachbody?

Beachbody’s weight loss programs motivate and encourage you to follow through with your health and fitness goals through chat- and text-based support. One of Beachbody’s benefits is the emphasis on its community, which provides participants with an active support system. Another highlight is the Beachbody app. Through the app, users have easy access to workouts, meal plans and fitness tracking tools.

How does Beachbody work?

Beachbody offers a variety of products and services, but all of them share the same goal: to make weight loss easier. Participants sign up with a Beachbody coach who guides them through their weight loss journey. These coaches help them choose a program and find products that give them the results they want.

The Beachbody diet program is one of the company’s more popular services. Although there is no specific scientific study backing the program, the company based this diet on common weight loss principles. For instance, the 21 Day Fix eliminates added sugar and refined carbohydrates, which are known to contribute to weight gain.

Beachbody programs

There are several Beachbody programs. Each one has different benefits, such as workout videos and Beachbody meal plans.

  • 21 Day Fix: This weight loss program allows you to lose as many as 15 pounds in three weeks. The plan comes with workout DVDs and meal plan recipes that control your portions. The program typically costs around $70, but the price varies depending on the exact products you purchase.
  • Beachbody on Demand: Beachbody on Demand is a streaming service that gives you immediate access to the company’s meal and fitness programs along with support from a Beachbody coach. With this service, you can stream content anywhere with an internet connection. Subscribers also receive workout calendars and weight loss tracking tools. The service costs $99 a year, but there are short-term options available.
  • 2B Mindset: Beachbody’s 2B Mindset program focuses on helping you lose weight by showing you what you can eat instead of what you can't. The program comes with a 30-day meal plan, video recipes, recipe books and coaching to help you accomplish your goal. The starting cost for the 2B Mindset is $119.
  • Ultimate Portion Fix: This program expands the 21 Day Fix into 30 days and recommends Beachbody’s Shakeology products, fruits and vegetables. Like the 21 Day Fix, this program has you use containers to measure out your portions. Costs start at $74, and buyers get access to cooking videos, resources and the Beachbody community.
  • The Monthly Fix: While the Ultimate Portion Fix comes with 30 days of meal plans and support, the Monthly Fix takes things one step further. After you purchase the Ultimate Portion Fix, you can pay $19.95 a month to get 24/7 access to The Monthly Fix. This gives you FIXATE recipes, meal plans, check-ins and ongoing support from the community. Billing is automatic every month until you cancel.
  • Beachbody Ultimate Reset: Beachbody Ultimate Reset is a 21-day cleanse that eliminates bad foods and toxins from your diet. The base kit costs $199.95, which includes supplements designed to cleanse your body, a three-part nutrition plan and fitness tips.

I have been Beachbody customer since 2015, and purchase so many DVDs and digital programs. For the first time this year my subscription expired for various reasons I will not disclose, and to my disappointment I can only see 4-5 programs but the rest I am not able to. I even have DVDs with some of the programs and still not able to see them. I am able to see only couple of those, makes zero sense. When I purchased those programs digitally through Beachbody that I was told were mine to keep even if I wasn’t subscribing anymore and that they would always be accessible through my library. I am missing insanity max30 that I have on dvd, hammer and chisel as well, but I do see 21 day fix. Make it make sense. Apparently this is not true, so I purchased something and I am no longer able to use, so this means I rented it?

Practices like this are simply unacceptable, you should have warned customers that they are purchasing something to see for limited period of time, otherwise we could have just wait to see it for free. Of course conveniently I am not able to see many of my purchases back from 2015 and 2016. You have to resolve this problem with all your customers, it does not make sense for me to see few programs but not all I purchased. I paid for these programs. In one way or another I have to have access to them. There is obviously some kind of glitch or the company is heading into the wrong direction.

    Hello Silviya,

After reviewing your account, we can confirm that you've purchased multiple programs through VIP Early Access.

To clarify, VIP Early Access allowed members with an active BODi subscription to access new programs approximately six months before they were added to the BODi Member Library for general users. This option provided early access to the content and required an active subscription at the time of purchase. Once the programs were later added to the Member Library, they remained accessible as part of the library with an active paid subscription.

Our newer Digital Purchases option works differently. Digital Purchases allow you to buy and stream individual programs and add them to your personal BODi library, with or without an active subscription.

An active BODi subscription is required to access BODi programs as all programs are currently in the member library.

If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact us for assistance.

If I could give zero stars, I would! If you sign up for the annual subscription to save on the monthly cost, Bodi automatically enrolls you in auto-renewal for the following year. Because the renewal is a full year away, it’s easy to forget about it. When the reminder email eventually comes, it can easily get buried in spam or junk mail—and before you know it, you’re charged for another year and at a much higher price. In my case, I noticed the charge pending and canceled the service the same day the subscription renewed. Despite canceling immediately, they refused to issue a refund. According to their "policy", once the renewal charge processes, refunds are not provided under any circumstances—even if you cancel the very same day.

If you call to speak with a customer service representative, all they will do is remind you of their "policy" and direct you to complete an online form explaining the situation. A day or two later, you receive an automated “no-reply” email quoting their policy and informing you that no refund will be issued, while confirming that you’ll still have access to the service for the next year that you haven't even used yet.

While this may technically comply with their stated policy, it’s not a customer-friendly way to do business. Treating customers this way simply to lock in revenue reflects predatory business practices that prioritize profit over fair and reasonable treatment of customers. Because of this experience, I will not do business with Bodi again. Companies that rely on rigid policies instead of reasonable customer service aren’t companies I want to support. I strongly recommend others think carefully before doing business with a company that follow these type of exploitative practices.

      Hello Mark,

Upon reviewing your account, we can confirm that you purchased an annual BODi subscription on February 21, 2025. At the time of enrollment, you agreed to the Terms & Conditions, which include automatic annual renewals unless the subscription is cancelled in advance.

As part of this, a pre-bill notification email was sent on January 20, 2026. Since no cancellation request was received prior to the renewal date, the subscription renewed as scheduled on February 21, 2026.

Once a subscription renews, it becomes active for the new billing period and is not eligible for a refund in accordance with our subscription policy. For digital subscriptions, renewals are based on the billing cycle rather than account usage, meaning the subscription remains active for the full term regardless of use.

We can also confirm that your annual BODi subscription has now been cancelled as of February 21, 2026. You will continue to have access through February 21, 2027, and it will not renew again and no further billings will occur.

Additionally, please note that the 31-day money-back guarantee applies only to the initial purchase and does not apply to renewal charges. You can find more details in our Money-Back Guarantee FAQ here: https://faq.bodi.com/us/en/help?s=259.

Zero stars if I possible could.. Beware of Unauthorized Charges & No Customer Support. I do not recommend BODi/Beachbody. I cancelled my subscription on February 1, 2024 and have written confirmation of that cancellation. I was not charged at all in 2025, which confirms my account was properly closed. Despite this, BODi charged my card on February 5, 2026... nearly two years after my account was cancelled. When I contacted them, they attempted to classify this charge as a “renewal” and hide behind a no-refund renewal policy. That explanation is false. You cannot renew a subscription that has been cancelled for two years. This was an unauthorized charge, plain and simple.

What makes this worse: There is no customer service phone number. The only option is a chat system that provides scripted responses and no real resolution. You’re effectively trapped in a loop while your money is taken. I have screenshots proving my cancellation, yet getting help has been unnecessarily difficult and time-consuming.

If you sign up, be aware:

Cancellation does not guarantee you won’t be charged later.
Getting a human to help you is nearly impossible.
You may have to dispute charges with your bank to get your money back.

This experience has destroyed my trust in this company. There are far better fitness platforms that don’t rely on confusing billing practices and inaccessible support.

      Proceed with caution. Absolutely disgraceful.

Don’t waste your money. Customer service is lacking and available programs vary but many require paying more money to get the program plus the specific equipment needed to do each program. If you don’t have a big space too it can be hard to do the ones with minimal/no equipment needed.

Terrible customer service and shady billing practices. I had an extremely frustrating experience with Beachbody. I canceled my subscription years ago, yet somehow—two years after my original purchase—my account was reactivated without my consent and I was charged again. I contacted customer service the same day I noticed the charge, and their response was basically that there was nothing they could do. Even worse, they told me that if I paid another $99, they would then refund the $189 charge. That is completely unacceptable and makes no sense. This feels incredibly deceptive and unfair. No company should reactivate a canceled subscription years later and then refuse to fix the issue unless the customer gives them more money. This is garbage customer service and a garbage business practice. Run away from this company.

My husband purchased this as a gift to me. Long story short: I didn’t know about the auto-renewal, his account had $0 in it on the day it was to be charged for the auto-renewal. They continued to attempt to charge his account for 15 days unbeknownst to us.15 days of trying to charge! So unethical. Interesting that the renewal email is sent to promotions, but since I’ve been trying to fight for his money back charge went through in day 15, the emails come right to my inbox. Also interesting that they have a “special offer” for $99. So just give them $99 and they might give me $181 back. Why would I spend more money that we don’t have in order to maybe get some back. I literally didn’t eat dinner tonight because we are so strapped for cash with this unexpected expense. :(
