    The hearing aid seems to work okay and has made a slight improvement on my life. It has the standard features and some Bluetooth streaming, which I wanted.     I went to Miracle Ear and did the hearing test, then I found out it was gonna be $7,000 for the hearing aids. I took a picture of the test, then I purchased an Audicus on the phone with the most wonderful woman named Paige. Their price was much better than Miracle Ear's, and Paige was perfect. Everything she did was made sense, and there was no pressure at all. I sent her the test I got and I received my Audicus hearing aids relatively quickly. I'm reasonably happy. They work fine, and they hold a charge for the day, but I don't wear them every day. Also, I have charging stations in both my houses.

    Audicus told me they had special engineering that they utilize in their technology that was unique. I took what they sent me but I wasn't pleased with the quality. The way that they fit in my ears seemed to be an issue with me. It's got this little plastic deal that you stick off in there and it didn't fit my ear canal properly. Also, I didn't get to hear like I was expecting to. It didn't do what I was wanting to get done. I sent the hearing aids in for Audicus to replace them and they had a hearing specialist talk to me. We did a video Zoom call so they could see how it was going in my ear. I told them that it was not working for me.

    I used Audicus a few years ago. I had my ears test on Audicus, and I got their hearing aids. So, when I decided it was time to get new hearing aids, I went to Audicus. To be able to take the hearing test on the site seemed a very cool thing. When I play my grand piano, I have to take my hearing aids off because there's reverb going on in the hearing aids that's unpleasant. There's supposed to be settings for music, and I haven't figured out what that is. I just haven't sat down and read the book, so I need to do that. But I've not had any problems with the hearing aids. I can hear what people are saying. I still have trouble hearing what my seven-year-old is saying sometimes, but I hear her much better than I used to. I also noticed that I can hear better in church, but maybe they changed their system.

    I have the Omni hearing aids, and so far, they have been working very well. They were an upgrade from the Clara that I had before. The Omni has the Bluetooth, and I can use the phone better now and all the Bluetooth amenities that go along with it as far as streaming things. So, I've been very pleased with the Omni.     My Audicus hearing aids fit well and they're very light. They have the outer part and another one that goes on the inner canal. The outer part sits on top of and behind the ear. It's extraordinarily light to the extent that one of them blew off. I charge them once a day. They've got a nice little clam shell carrying case box, and you take the hearing aid off at night, and you insert it into a charging base and it charges. By morning, it's all set to go. As far as the customer service, I've talked to one person at Audicus, and she was very knowledgeable and was able to answer my questions or connect me to the right person.

    I had a set of Beltones and one of them went bad, and I priced those and it scared me to death. So, I started shopping around and I ran onto Audicus hearing aids and they were rechargeable and had a lot of good things about them. So I thought, "Well, we'll give it a try." I like them really well so far. I like the recharging and I like most everything about them. I need to get some more tips that goes in my ears. I need to order those from the factory. Also, you can't get the recharging box that came in open. You gotta have three hands. It's terrible. I got tape on part of it and I try to open the lid while you push the button.

    Audicus has a technician work with you and make the hearing aids fit and everything right down the line. They give you a hearing test and it's an hour ordeal. The tech comes and make sure it fits, "Is this okay?" and then he could turn them down in his computer. I didn't have that but I sent the hearing test I had. I just had it at Beltone just before I quit. So, I sent him a copy of that. These hearing aids are not as comfortable as the Beltones, but quality-wise, they're as good. I like my Audicus hearing aids because of the price. You can buy three of these for one Beltone. The rechargeability is nice.

    I got in contact with Audicus as well as another one. Audicus offered me a free trial period to try them out. I found them receptive. I'm happy with them. I went to a local audiologist and they performed the hearing test, and I sent the results to Audicus. I've had email contact with the Audicus' specialist and it seemed pleasant and responsive. Audicus took the test that I had done locally and calibrated the hearing aid to that test.

    I haven't been a user of this type of hearing aid before. I find them difficult to get in my ear. I have to struggle to get them placed into the ear canal. But once I get it in and placed, I like the app, the opportunity to adjust them to my own hearing level. Also, they are rechargeable. I wear them six hours a day and I never had to recharge them in-between. So, I know they last at least that long.

    I came across various brands of hearing aids and Audicus offered the best deal. They offered $100 a month and at the end of the 18 months, the hearing aids are mine or I can upgrade them and just continue on with the same program. I thought this was an interesting approach. The hearing aids fit very comfortably and can be adjusted. I had them adjusted once and they work fine. The feature that I was interested in was the fact that it has something to deal with the tinnitus that I suffer from and that was very excellent. Also, I'm able to selectively hear what's necessary. It cuts out all secondary noises, which is very important. I'm very satisfied.

    I was offered $200 trade-in credit for my old Audicus hearing aid 'Oro.' He suggested it is too old to spend money on repair which can cost $100-200. I was reluctant to invest in a new one, but decided I'd rather get $200 credit toward the new purchase. The new one I was purchasing was $1000. Audicus gave $100 off coupon. The salesperson told me my final price would be $700. When I sent out my old one, I got $100 credit. I wish I had recording of the phone conversation, but I don't. Either he made a mistake when he said $200 for trade-in, or he was mis-informed, I feel I probably not have purchased a new one if I had known that I'll only get $100 credit. I would have had repaired as I initially planned. That's why I called Audicus. To get my old one repair. It was rarely used, it just broke when battery leaked. Other than that, it was fine. I'd like to get my old one repaired (before your technician dump it away) and I'll return my new one.

    Audicus is a good company. I'm having some difficulty with hearing it as well as I should be able to hear from them. But I'm gonna get in touch with them too, because I've narrowed down the issue. One of my issues is an irregularly shaped canal in my right ear. I negotiate that. There's a couple of ways, I think, that that could be done. And I just wanted to get some experience with these hearing aids before I wanted someone to shoot the trouble with me on it too. I've had good follow-up with Angela. I like the hearing aids. They're not hard to wear.

    Not a big problem yet but of note: the charging station for my aids does not always charge both right and left aid equally. Most times it’s fine. But three times it has not charged them fully. One time charged at 60 percent and the other at 90 percent. So, I just think it’s weird.

    I've set max volume with the HearingRemote app. I've also maxed bass mid, treble trying to get more volume. No help. Tried the following: (Bass, mid, treb) 5 5 5, 5 5 1, 5 5 -5, 5 1 -5, 0 5 0, 5 3 1, 5 0 0, 5 1 5, 5 2 0, 5 2 -2, 3 3 1. All of the above with rt/left sliders at max volume and focus, noise, enhance at 75% - no help. This is in a 15'W 40'L 10'H room with the speaker at one end 15 ft from me. When she speaks softly I can't make out 4 out of 5 words but people farther away from her then I can hear her OK. My best guess: If the aids were on a radio volume control that went from 1 to 10 and was set at 5 I would want to set the rt aid to 6 and the left aid to 7. Hopefully the volume can be increase. **** I tried my old Claras in the same room with the same speaker and they had about 25% greater volume.****

    I called Audicus and told the rep what I wanted. They had a product that was built by a reputable manufacturer and it was less than some of the other comparable stuff out in the market that I was able to get pricing on over the internet. So, because they had a good price on a product that worked for me, I bought it. I have a complete loss in one ear, and the other ear, a small partial loss. They were willing to sell me one hearing aid for the ear that still has hearing. I didn't have to buy a pair of them because I couldn't use a pair. They did the tuning up and then, they shipped the hearing aid to me. They explained how to use it and sent me a booklet that explained it. I read it and I used the hearing aid and it works. I got the rechargeable kind and I don't care about Bluetooth. If it happens to be in it, I have no idea how to use that. The hearing aid helps depending on the circumstances. If we're in a noisy restaurant, I don't hear as well as if I'm in a quiet room.

    I would recommend people to Audicus. Whenever I buy something, I get a discount. And when I need certain supplies, they're readily available within a couple of days of sending them out to me. So, I don't have any issues with anything with them. I've bought three different hearing aids from them over time. They're priced right and they do what I need them to do. I'm very pleased with Audicus. They've been very good to me and send out what they say they're gonna send out.

    I've been with Audicus for about five years. They were pretty quick and I was satisfied with the time they sent my hearing aids. They sent them out within a few days. They were on top of it. My hearing aids helped my work life a lot because I don't miss things in meetings. I can listen to things, I can talk on the phone, and I can listen to music and sports. The hearing aids are rechargeable, which I like as I am not a big fan of useless batteries. The charge holds up to 12 hours. I like the Bluetooth feature too.

    I had to contact customer service a couple of times. One time they told me how to fix the issue I was having. That was good. The next time I called them, they replaced them and that happened pretty quickly. By that time, I had them for a while so I upgraded and the hearing aids are better. Microtechnology gets better every day. My only complaint is I also wear glasses and my hearing aids go behind the ear and it's just a pain. The little ones that tuck only in the ear canal don't have Bluetooth.

    The Audicus hearing aids have been great. This is my second set of hearing aids from them and I'm happy with them. In fact, I could have had my insurance pay for my hearing aids, but I didn't like the ones that the hearing aid company chose and it was way more or I was gonna have to pay way more. So, I went with Audicus. I'm totally happy. I paid out of pocket. It also has a reasonably good price.

    They're also really helpful people. They're nice and knowledgeable. It was a fluke that I got my first set of hearing aids from them. But after I did, I was so happy with the hearing aids I got and I could hear finally so much better. I like that you don't have to do so much of that adjustment where you need to go in to have them adjust it. They're so simple now. You just do them on the internet or Bluetooth. At first, I wasn't sure that I'd like the Bluetooth feature because I'm not a phone person. I don't like so much having the phone on me all the time. But that's fine. I adjusted. There is also an app and it's always connected. All I have to do is push a button on my hearing aids and it answers the phone.

    I'm having trouble with the right ear hearing aid and I had to send it back. I can't seem to put a hearing aid in there and it just annoys me. But I kept the left one in and it has done okay. Then, I saw they had an upgraded model called the Spirit 2. So, I upgraded to that one. I'm happy with my hearing aid. It's small and it fits well. It's well-made and it works well. I've gone into my pool a couple of times with the first one 'cause I forgot to take it out and it still survived. Try Audicus. It's a good product and they give you enough days to try it out.

    I got a hearing aid from Audicus that's battery powered because I'm not always near where I can get to electricity.     I like that Audicus has a Bluetooth feature in their hearing aids and a lot of the other ones don't. When my phone rings, I just hit the button on the phone and I can talk through the hearing aids. When I first got them, I went to the website to learn how to put them on and charge them. It walked me through. I put the hearing aids in the charger every night and it's never died out on me. It took a few days to get used to the hearing aids, but they are alright. I can hear things better. The TV is clearer. It used to seem a lot of people were mumbling. But now, they're clearer.

    I'm happy with the price. I bought them for $1,600. Some friends of mine have paid $4,000 and my Audicus hearing aids do everything theirs do. There are a lot of over-the-counter ones out there that are from $199 to $1,100, but most of them don't have the Bluetooth feature. The only thing I don't like about my Audicus hearing aids is they're not loud enough. If I'm listening to a book on tape on my phone through the hearing aids, everything has to be quiet all around me. I couldn't mow the lawn and do that. I've even tried putting those shooting earphones that you put over your ears when I'm mowing the lawn but it still doesn't make them loud enough. I have AirPods and with my shooting headphones over them, I can mow the lawn and hear.

    I spoke with a person at the office, and everything went well. The price was reasonable. Also, when I talked to the lady that represented the company, she told me that I could get the hearing aids for 90 days, and if I didn't like it, I could send it back. I've tried several over-the-counter hearing aids, and they function poorly. They raise the volume and nothing else. I don't like them. On the other hand, the one from Audicus is doing well, so far. I put it on charge every night, but it's always charged. All in all, I like Audicus better. It works well, and it's got three stages of volume. It seems to muffle out the outside noise too. The thing that goes in my ear is a little uncomfortable though. It's a little too big, but I'm gonna try to order some smaller ones to put on it.

    Audicus offered the same kind of promises and performance as the other ones, but they had a free trial period which was the difference for me. I talked to the hearing specialist to complete the purchase. It was very easy to do and very good. They were very helpful. One of my big concerns was paying for the cost of the hearing aid outright. It's a chunk of change. And they said, "We can do an 18 months same as cash at no interest." And they made all the arrangements for me to get that medical credit card approved and put everything through. I would have preferred to know that the 18-month same as cash would require me to get a credit card, but I didn't mind getting it. I don't like to take out credit cards, but this one was useful and a half.

    Audicus was very good with follow-up. They touched base with me a lot after I got them. And I got personal phone calls and much more useful was the direct emails I got. Whenever I had questions, I sent an email and they responded within an hour. So, they were very responsive. Where I could check the status of the hearing aids using the app, connecting over Bluetooth, is very useful. I can understand what people are saying without having to ask them to repeat it. My wife yells at me much less frequently, and the people at work and I interact a lot more easily.

    Very happy with your people. Dissatisfied with the info they are given. I am an engineer and easily master devices. I asked for a simple list of all the musical tones I might experience and the meanings and was told that it is not available. I know it exists, no software engineer would go without preparing one. Instead I am asked to describe the tones. I am NOT a musician and have no way of remembering what I hear when I am in a meeting or driving in the car or eating dinner. I would think the list would be helpful to your customer service reps. Come to think of it, they must have one if they ask me to describe what I hear.

    I like my hearing aids from Audicus real well. The price was more than I intended to pay, but it's well worth it. I've had more expensive ones, but I like these better. They're the best I've had. They've also called me a couple of times to ask if there's anything they could do for me. I had the hearing aids hooked up with my cell phone where I could talk through the hearing aids. But I didn't like that feature at all. My right ear is a whole lot different than my left side. My hearing aid on the right ear is always too loud.     Sharon's hearing aids from Audicus work well. We did a hearing test with them and it took about 20 minutes. It was thorough. Sharon doesn't like to wear her hearing aids very much. She wears them only when she's in court. It's just when she really needs to hear things. She got the middle-cost behind-the-ear ones because she needed them. She needed that much volume. We ordered some from Eargo and they weren't loud enough for her.

    The hearing aids' quality is good. It's just like you're on stage and you're hearing somebody from a microphone. TV is a little better with that. So, we keep them on low. Then we can hear the same volume of TV. So, we were doing that for a while, but we haven't done that lately either. It's all right. It is what it is. We're glad to have anything that helps. As far as the people from Audicus, they followed up well and they were very nice people. They gave us a discount, too.

    I worked with a hearing specialist and I had my ENT send over my hearing results. Then, they paired them and mailed the hearing aids to me. So far, the quality has been wonderful. I'm able to hear and engage more in conversations because I'm able to understand. So, it's been good. There are some features that I like and there are some that I dislike. And when I have the time, I'll try and work through that with our contact. I love that Audicus has an app that you can drown out and connect to various things. But I don't like that it beeps every time. I may be in a normal conversation and if a call is coming in, it comes in through the hearing aid and I can't keep engaged in the conversation that I'm in because they have "beep, beep" going on in the hearing aids.

    Everything's been awesome with Audicus. I like the Omni and the rechargeable thing is wonderful. My first one was battery-operated but I've embraced the rechargeable thing because they work flawlessly and you don't have to worry about batteries. If something happens such as if I fall on the lake and these die, I've got back up with a battery-powered one. I always travel with an extra pair of glasses and an extra pair of hearing aids. The charge has been from the time I get up in the morning to the time I go to bed at night, which is usually a good 14 hours. And I have not had it die on me while I had been using them.

    The Audicus hearing aids are a little bit different because you can hear not just what's happening in front of you, but side and back, too, which is a wonderful thing that the other ones didn't have. If somebody came up behind me and I was in their way in a grocery store aisle and they said something, I wouldn't be able to hear them with the previous ones often. These are much more bidirectional. Both the Omni that I have now and the hearing aid I had before still work but I'm sending them back to be upgraded to the current hearing evaluation that I had done by an audiologist so it’d be on the same plane as the one that I've got now.

    For about a month, Audicus sent texts every week, asking if there was any problem or if I needed to talk to somebody. The follow-up was good. I have the hearing aid that fits on the back of the ear and I also got the little companion that you can put somewhere else and it transmits your hearing aid. But it doesn’t work as I hope. It's not very clear. When I go to sleep, I put the hearing aid on the charger and it's charged by next morning. I put it on about seven o'clock and I take it off about 6:30 and I haven't had any problem running out of charge. I had a hearing aid that I bought from Costco and I like Audicus better. It's more user-friendly.

    My uncle used Audicus and he really liked them. I looked at Costco and a couple other little places, but Audicus seemed to have good deals and he really liked their customer service. We looked online and then we contacted them to ask more questions. Once we got all our questions and stuff answered, we went back online to purchase. I had some issues with making the purchase. I ended up calling them and talking to the guy directly to make the purchase.

    My father lost his hearing aids though. We haven't had a chance to get them back yet. He went out of town. He has a house in Montana, but he's living in California. So, I thought he left them at his house in Montana. We went this weekend and they weren't there. We don't know where they went but when he did have them, it definitely made a difference.     Audicus made it easier for me to hear my grandchildren when they're talking. It's made it easier for me at work too because I can hear what people are saying around me. I have sudden deafness in my left ear, and a lot of times, I feel the person is mumbling and I cannot make out the words. Wearing the hearing aids helps, but it doesn't totally take that away. There are still times that I can hear, but I can't make out what's being said.

    The hearing aids I got are rechargeable and easy to put in. They're exchangeable for the size of my ear, and I can change the volume up and down. The hearing aids work very well, and they are discreet because they're small. It just has a very thin, clear tube that I help put it in with, so my hair covers it up. Even if it sticks out a little where I'm putting it in, people still don't see it. I changed the bud that goes into my ear, and that worked good as well.

    Most of the other hearing aid companies wanted to sell me a pair but I only have hearing loss in one ear. Audicus was able to provide that. Jesse, the rep, helped me get that. I emailed the specs I had from my hearing test. They were able to program it then they mailed the hearing aid to me. When it got lost, that same person, Jesse, was able to help me get a replacement.     The last few times I have requested a call, I have not been called back. I am having issues with my hearing devices and I do not know what to do. They mute regularly.     Audicus is the greatest thing in the entire world. They had a phone number to call and they set up a hearing test for me on the phone. I took the hearing test, then they gave me a number to call back and told me they could handle my hearing aids. I had them within five days. They feel perfect and there's no squealing. I can get a good four days out of the batteries and it's not difficult to change them. I've never had Bluetooth hearing aids and they're wonderful.     I got online looking for hearing aids that were affordable and what the terms are because my mother lost her hearing suddenly because she was given an antibiotic that was toxic.     My Audicus hearing aids are on the spendy side but I compared it to what a lot of other people pay and have paid in the past, and it's reasonable.     The batteries don't last very long on these Audicus hearing aids and I keep putting them in to charge. It says it's supposed to last 72 hours. If I wear it for six hours a day or five hours a day, that's at least three or four days before I should put it in the charger. But if I put it on in the morning, by the end of the day, it's already giving me the tone that the battery is going dead. They come with a cheap, little plastic holder and I have to plug it in to charge it. It doesn't have a built in battery that would charge up as well so they sent me a separate charger and now I got two pieces with an umbilical cord to have a battery that plugs into the holder, which is a big case.

    The girl that I speak with sounds very young and she said it's supposed to have this real high quality sound but I'm like, “Where are you getting this information from unless you experience it yourself?” Also, they only gave a 30-day trial. I complained that it's not enough to even get a feel for it and the rep gave me 45 days, which is coming up pretty fast, and I'm seriously thinking of sending it back. For the money that they charge, I don't think it's worth the money.

    BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND ITS FRAUDULENT ADVERTISING. My mother ordered hearing aids. She was told she can return the hearing aids within 30 days for a full refund including prepaid shipping. When it came time to return, the prepaid shipping wasn’t provided - had to ask for it. Then they said after the return is received it will take 40 days to get a refund. No where did they mention that a refund would take 40 days to process. Why does it take 40 days? Because they want to use your money to fund their business. Shady company - beware!

    I went to a store in Florida and had a test done there. And with Audicus, I did one on the phone. I had the feeling that the one that I did at a store was a little more accurate than the one done over the phone. At the store, you're more directly attached to the machine that was sending the tone and you're only about 6 feet away from the guy sending. But on the phone, who knows how much disturbance and static there could be.

    I ended up getting the behind the ears hearing aids and I don't care for the concept of them, but they work fine. I tried out two other brands before I settled on Audicus and I really like that with the pair I have, they fit behind my ears, so they're a little more visible, but if my cellphone rings, I can answer it on the hearing aids and I can carry on the conversation through the hearing aids, not the phone.

    I can also start a call from the hearing aids using the two buttons at the back there on that gadget. It's wonderful. With those little teeny ones that will fit in your ear, you can hardly see them at all and they're too small to have that feature. Other than that, my hearing aids are rechargeable and they can go a couple of days. All the aspects of the hearing aids are controlled on an app on my cellphone, so I can just turn that app on the cellphone and see how much percent of power is left. And most often, I put it in the case overnight and it automatically gets charged.

    I'm on my third-generation hearing aid with them and I'm very happy. They are among the highest-quality hearing aids that I've looked at. They're a lot better than the ones available at big box stores. The one I have has Bluetooth capability. I can also use it as a Bluetooth receiver, put it in the middle of a table and hear everybody. Although I would rather have my unassisted hearing back, it's very good and it's noticeable when I don't wear them. Without them, I struggle in social situations where there's a lot of noise.

    Audicus' reps were nice. They try to do what they could, but they're limited by what they have. They offered me, they said, their superior hearing aids. And it was discounted against its ordinary price. I had heard of them and responded to them because they were presumably a lower-cost hearing aid. But they weren't cheap. I went to their offices at the time. And that was fine. I got the hearing aid from them. Audicus' hearing aids were fine with volume, but they didn't make words any clearer. I also tried another set of hearing aids from a different company, and they work better for me now. I've written about I wanted to return the hearing aids before my 45 days ran out. But I haven't heard back about that. My 45 days are soon to run out.

    When I looked online, I saw the possibility of having adjustments made remotely, which seemed a good option for me. Especially since it's a very difficult thing to arrange shipping to and from the island. I took an Audicus phone hearing test, Audicus used that, and I went ahead and placed an order for some Spirit hearing aids figuring that the advantage of having the remote adjustment was significant for me. Also, because they have the capacity to be independently adjusted for each year. So, I went ahead and bought them. I traveled to the States. And when I arrived, they were there where I would stay, and I just picked them up, read the instructions and started using them. The instructions are clear. And I got help by phone readily when I needed it, so, that made it all smooth.

    When I was in the States and could get a good audiological test, I had one done. I forwarded the results to Audicus and asked if there was any significant benefit in adjusting to the new test results, and they said yes. I also wanted a change made in the programs that were inbuilt on the hearing aids I got, and that required it to be sent back to their office. I've sent those back a week ago, and I expect them to arrive back on Wednesday this week. I would have them in time to take them back to Fiji with me when I go.

    The hearing aids are comfortable. I had to experiment a bit with the domes and so on. But that was straightforward. And when I went to the audiologist, he looked at the domes. I took the hearing aids with me, and he said that with my particular hearing loss, which is only in the higher frequencies, he said that the open domes would be better for me, because they allow the frequencies that I can hear to go directly through the dome into the ear. I had some issues at first with them falling out. And when I put a larger dome in, that fixed the problem. Especially, with the open dome, that seems to stay in better for some reason. They seem to be secure in my ears. I don't have to worry about them so much.

    Since I've been without them this week, I've had an opportunity to feel what it is to be without them. I feel that there's a limit in my sensory awareness of my environment without them. What I hear is dulled down because the high frequencies are missing to a significant degree and I can't pick up nuances of conversation as readily, which is the kind of thing where you just go, "Oh, well."

    I love the Bluetooth. Having that built in, I can just quietly listen to something without having to fiddle with ear buds. I've used earbuds a lot with listening to music. And these are good quality. The sound from them is at least equal to and probably better than the ear buds I used. And I don't have to take them in and out, I use my phone and I get the phone calls or I can do the music. I've had good experience with it and I've been pleased with the results. I would recommend people trying that. Audicus' customer service is good and personable. And the people who respond to requests for help are available and forthcoming with information and so on. They seem to know the instruments well.

    So far, Audicus has been very good to me. My hearing aids are little. They fit behind my ear. They work their way in to being fit nicely. They had said in the instructions that you could trim the little stem that curls up in your ear to make them fit better. I didn't bother to do that, and they form themselves now to my ear. Now, they just pop right in there. I like my hearing aids. My mother has an old type of hearing aid that fits all inside of her ear. It covers up all inside of the ear there, and they're hard to get in and out. I don't have any problem with mine at all.

    My hearing aids are hooked up to my phone, and I just have to hit the button for the phone to answer, then I can start talking. I like them because I run a lot of heavy equipment, and they don't increase the volume of noise like that. It stays the same. Being small like they are, I can put my forestry helmet on with the earmuffs and all. These hearing aids made things a lot easier for me. When I'm talking to somebody now, I'm not making mistakes about what they say. I also like that it's easy to change the settings on them, depending on the environment that I'm in at the time. When I'm running a piece of equipment, I haven't had to turn them down because it doesn't amplify it.

    When I started shopping for hearing aids I was careful to buy something that was a true hearing aid and not just an amplifier. I chose Audicus because they required an online hearing test. I have now spent several thousand dollars and continue to pay them 198 every month. When I got to the point of qualifying for a new pair of aids, I lost one of them. Audicus charged me $199 for the lost aid before they would send my my free updated pair even though they told me that they do not recycle and re-issue returned aids. My wife says that they help.     I like my Audicus hearing aids 'cause I can use my phone with them. That's convenient. The hearing aids work fairly well. They seem well made. The only complaint I have is the background noises are loud. My brain's gotta get used to hearing again but it seems sometimes the background noise will drown out what I'm trying to listen to. I found that driving in the car, I have to take them out 'cause the truck noise drowns everything out. Listening to music, even in a quiet place, it doesn't sound right. It's distorted.     I went online, did research on hearing aids, and asked my doctor. He looked at the different ones that I showed him, and he pointed to the top two on my list. He said, “They're solid. That's a good way to go.” I paid 1,800 for a pair of Audicus hearing aids and the product's been great. My mother doesn't want to wear them though. She's old school, and hearing aids in that generation was a sign of weakness. Other than that, she notices a great difference with them on. The one problem is the left one has so much feedback, and it's hard for her.     I received the Spirit hearing aids on 26th. After opening the aids, charging them, installing the hearing app, found that the right hearing aid did not work. I immediately called for assistance and found that no one was available until Tuesday, the 30th to offer help. On Tuesday, an agent offered to replace the aids and due to my inconvenience offered an upgrade to the charging Spirit aids. I received the aids on Monday June 5th. The aids do not allow me to understand my wife's voice and I am scheduled with an Audicus audiologist later today. If the audiologist cannot improve the Spirit performance, I will be returning them.

    I recommend Audicus. I started with the first hearing aids company to contact me, and that happened to be a local, has-an-office, has-an-audiologist company with $5,400 hearing aids. They were perfectly good, but I didn't know how much it was when I went in and who on earth would spend $5,400 to get hearing aids? Audicus was the next thing I tried, and I announced to both parties, “I'm trying these out. I will try multiples." Audicus has a trial period, so I was happy to take advantage of it and their people are fabulous. Also, I knew there were cheaper options, but I decided, for once, I would not be the cheapest person on the planet, and I got them. They're comfortable, and I can hear better. The hearing aids help with understandability. I can hear someone talking but I don't know what they're saying to me.

    When I read all the information in the book though, which normally, I don't read everything, I happened to notice that I should not leave the hearing aids charging for 48 hours. I don't know what horrible thing will happen if I do that, but if I'm home by myself, I don't necessarily put them in, so I tend to leave them longer than just hook them up at night and put them in in the morning. It's annoying that I have to think about that, and if I unplug them, the next time I want them, they're not charged up anymore. If Audicus could fix that, that'd be good.

    My Audicus hearing aids are a little tinny, but they seem to be working all right. Audicus has been very good and helpful to me and I have no complaints. In fact, I lost one of my hearing aids, and they recently replaced the one I lost. They said I had insurance on my hearing aids, but I still had to pay $150. I sent the other one back and they paired both of them and programmed them and then sent them back. I only use them as a backup. I have the VA hearing aids by Phonak that I use on a daily basis. In the evening, when I charge them, I'll go ahead and break out the Audicus hearing aids. Everything seems to be working good.

    As far as customer service, it works very well. Normally, I would call and leave a voicemail, and then within an hour or so, the technician would call me back and they would go ahead and address any problem I might have. When I first got them, they were a little tinny at the time. I called and they called back and online, they adjusted the programs. I'm very happy with that. I was kind of surprised that the hearing aids really are comparable to my VA Phonak hearing aids. I had bought other ones from the MDHearing and other places before and they did not cut the mustard. They didn't go up and capture the high sounds, the tenor sounds as well as my VA and these Audicus. So, I'm happy with it. I would recommend them to anybody that needs hearing aids.

    I'm glad I purchased the hearing aids. They're working fine. Before having the hearing aids, I could hear, but sometimes I had difficulty distinguishing. The hearing aids made what I listen to much clearer and distinct. I like these because they are rechargeable. I can easily place them in the charger, and they're good to go the next morning.     Purchasing my Audicus hearing aids was extremely easy. I had to take the test twice. I like the idea that they wanted to make sure that it was that much hearing loss. Since having Audicus, I can hear quite a bit better than I could before. I love that I don't get the whistling and feedback with these at all when I get close to something. I can also hear a lot of the mids and higher tones a lot better. I also enjoy the Bluetooth part. It gives me hands-free options. When I'm driving, it makes it a lot easier.     I'm very happy with my Audicus hearing aids. It seemed to be at the right price point. It was not ridiculously over the top relative to the standard hearing aids that would have been prescribed. It was also easy to get, once I paid the money. At first, it was whistly and robotic sounding and had all sorts of issues. But, the audiologist made some adjustments. It's very rare that I even get a whistle with the wind. It's changed my ability to hear that I don't have to ask people to repeat themselves more and that's when I have them in. Also, Audicus had a plan that if I joined it, they would replace the hearing aids. At a hospital, I pulled my mask off and the hearing aid went flying.     Audicus has good pricing for real hearing aids. I purchased mine online. I got an audiogram from a local audiologist and I provided Audicus with that. That was all I needed to do. They went ahead and followed my audiogram in setting the hearing aids up. This is my third set of hearing aids. My dog chewed up my earlier pair. Fortunately, I bought the insurance. I just took a picture of the chewed-up hearing aids and they sent me new ones. My first set of ear hearing aids was not from Audicus and I paid almost $6,000 for those things. The actual real specs were better on the Audicus hearing aids than the one I paid six grand for.

    Audicus is making quality products. I just found out here that all this stuff makes a difference. I'm trying a pair of inherited Miracle-Ear hearing aids for this lady that I have medical power of attorney for. There's a receiver in the ear but the actual metal piece that goes inside the ear is almost twice as big as the ones on the Audicus. This lady has small ear canals with a curve in them and those hearing aids are just too uncomfortable for her. That's why we're probably going with Audicus even though we're getting these Miracle-Ear ones for free. If she can't keep them in her ear, they are not gonna work.

    Audicus is pretty good and I’ve recommended them to several people. When the dog chewed up the ones that I needed to get replaced, it took them two weeks to get the hearing aids to me. When they saw the picture of those chewed-up hearing aids, they just said, “We'll get these on the way.” I even paid for the overnight shipping and they refunded the overnight shipping because they saw that they didn't have them in stock. That delay was a little frustrating. That may have just been supply chain issues that they couldn't do anything about. They couldn't get the hearing aids in for a while but then they overnighted them to me when they did get them in. Customer service has been easy to talk to and easy to get things done. Audicus is right on top of things. I’m very happy with my experience.

    Audicus was able to decipher what I needed even with the hearing aid company marking the results of my hearing test. I was impressed that they could do that. And I saw that their prices were a lot more reasonable than on what were on there. And they have a good quality product. The ones I bought before, I like the remote because I could adjust it. But the ones I have now, I could do it through my phone. That's a good feature. I just keep my phone on me. And they have a Bluetooth option, but I already have a Bluetooth headset.     Audicus had the most reasonable price and flexible payment plan. The hearing aids are a bigger change than what I've seen growing up with my grandfather. My grandfather's hearing aids were huge, bulky and just there. Now, you have to look at my ear to know that I have a hearing aid in and I like that. Sometimes I have the hearings connected and I use them as Bluetooth and I could talk on the phone through it and listen to music.

    I work from home for a College, and I had it connected as my headset for work but that didn't go that well. It would work for a bit and while I'm on a call, sometimes I wouldn't hear anything.     I went online, then I received a call from one of the associates of Audicus and she walked me through my purchase. After I received the hearing aids, I got a phone call from a young fellow there asking me if I got them, had tried them out, and if they were working. He's supposed to call me back in a week or so and check up on me. Other than that, I'm getting used to adjusting the hearing aids and I'm going to have a remote adjustment done. I'm still in the testing phase and I'm working with trying the different ear dome sizes. I've got that pretty well worked out, so I'm going to need to order a few replacement pieces.     I like the quality of Audicus, their options, and the price, as well. The two things I like best about my hearing aids are the Bluetooth component and the ability for it to adjust to different environments. Everybody has also been easy to work with. They've seemed receptive to answering any questions I have. They were very good. I had an incident where my right hearing aid was chewed up by a dog, because he somehow got into my case, and they replaced it within four days.     Audicus had a special going. It was $500 off. However, the website was hard to navigate for me. But once I was getting serious about purchasing, I had a person I could talk to, I could email. The hearing aid has Bluetooth features that did not work. Audicus offered to let me send them back in to be fixed. But I wanted to get through my trial period first to see if I liked them, which I did not. I sent them back. They have a little piece of plastic that is supposed to help hold them in your ear. That was more annoying than anything else. Because it kept popping out, making it look like you had something sticking out of your ear. I heard sounds better, but I did not hear words better, which is why I returned them. I haven't heard back from Audicus about my refund. I'm not thrilled with them.

    I ask you to be very wary of signing up for the monthly contract. In my case the hearing aids were approx $1800 outright but I took the monthly plan at $138 per for 18 months or $2,480. The plan covers a quarterly supply of replacement ear pieces, drying stuff, wipes as well as the ability to return the devices should something happen. They would replace them if required….My issue is the $300 they want to close-out the contract once the 18 months are up…. They DON'T mention that unless you really read the fine print…. I’ve already paid $2,480 for $1800 devices…Now they want $300 more…Total ** and I will NOT recommend Audicus to anyone….Why does everything always have to have something that makes an otherwise decent product SUCK!?

    My Audicus is amplified. But you pick up other noises sometimes that you don't want. I'm in the living room, watching TV, for example, and I hear my wife cooking and washing dishes in the kitchen louder than I do the TV. I know there are different settings on this, but I don't know how to do that. I’ve read about it in that little pamphlet, but I don't know how to go from program to program. I just know how to turn it off and I know how to charge it.

    I thought buying the battery packs for $59 was a scam. They give you a little piece of plastic that goes on the back of the charger. That was phony. It made me feel that I got scammed for $3,000. But I hear better. I am happy. The biggest thing I'm happy about is I'm not talking loud because I've embarrassed myself on more than one occasion talking very loud and I didn't realize I was talking loud. But having the hearing aids on has eliminated that.

    I'm not completely satisfied but I'm not totally disappointed. They are there when you call them. That is good. But the girl that I had called about getting the battery charger knew what was going on. She said it's a new product but it's not. She sent me a video the next day and it just clips on the bottom. She could have just said that. But, she didn't know about it. But she's a good person.

    I also found out that I could get it for $100 cheaper. I was confused that there was a $200 difference in price between the battery and the chargeable. I didn't know that. Because I had seen them advertised for two different prices. But they never explained that to me. But I got that back when I complained. The delivery was also very quick. I had to charge them and I tried them and in the beginning, I could hear better.

    I purchased the Omnis in early 2023 which are a huge upgrade from the Claras I purchased in late 2018. Comfort, sound quality and ease of use are all huge improvements. Comfort is #1 as the Medium Open Domes are about 1/3 the size of the older model. My ear wax produced is much less as a result and my ears are no longer itchy or flaky. Sound Quality is off the charts better - rivaling my $400 Bang & Olufsen over the ear earphones.

    I didn’t listen to music with the Claras as the sound was tinny and thin. With the Omnis built in Bluetooth, I listen to everything including music, audiobooks, podcasts and TV all in excellent listening quality. Conversations are also much better with the Omnis. Ease of use is so much better as well: using the Omnis and cleaning them is simple and quick and changing domes, ear guards is much less often for me. The Bluetooth connectivity is seamless, automatically turning on with phone calls, and listening to audio with your phone. With the Claras I had a remote I had to clip to my collar and it is no longer required with Omnis as the technology is built directly into the hearing aid.

    The Omnis are fully rechargeable and the charging case is excellent. I use Bluetooth throughout the day and have never come close to running out of power. All in all, I am so pleased with my new hearing aides, I can’t wait to put them on in the morning and I hate to take them off at night. The improvements in hearing technology are remarkable in only 4+ years. Wish I had upgraded earlier!

    Audicus cut right to the chase, gave me the price, and gave me better options for financing than the other companies I looked into. Everything about my experience with them was better than the ones that I had beginning with another company that I just dropped because it got too sketchy. The most impressive part was, there was one person who texted me on a Friday afternoon and asked if it was okay if he called me up. I told him I was a bit busy at the time and asked if he could call me on Monday. Then on Monday morning, he texted me again and asked if it was a better time. So the rep at Audicus was very courteous and very thoughtful about your own time.

    Aside from that, everybody else would tell me that if I needed any adjustments, all I have to do is drive down to one of their specialists.     My family was telling me that my hearing was getting poor, so I went online and I found a couple Eargo and Audicus and a couple others, and I just picked Audicus. I took the hearing test a couple of times to try to get a baseline of where my hearing was. Tyler was the salesperson and John is the technician, and I've been really pleased with them. They're great guys. I'm still kinda working into the hearing aids, trying to get them adjusted correctly. According to John, I have a mild to moderate hearing loss since sometimes, they're hard to adjust until you start noticing a difference. I still have a few days before my 45 days is up, so I'm hanging in there to see if I can get them adjusted.

    As far as the hearing aids and the support, I'm really pleased. I use the different features. I don't notice a whole lot of difference between the different features. I'm just picking up a little bit of an echo. It sounds like my voice is echoing just a slight bit. I am not used to them enough. John's been very patient.     I had tests done before and I was hard of hearing but since using Audicus, I can hear a lot better. I noticed right off the bat that there was a big improvement so I’m quite happy with them. I got rechargeable hearing aids and I wear them about 12 hours. By the end of the day, I'm down to 60%. So, I'd probably go another day before I have to charge them. They last quite a while. I was quite impressed with them. The cost was good. They were the higher end of the hearing aids that I was looking at, but by far, they're the best quality and I'm very happy. Other than just fantastic, I would recommend Audicus to anybody. One of our biggest worries was support, and they've been excellent. If I need something, I call and they're right there and take care of it. I had issues with the length of my wire when I got the hearing aids and I called them and they sent me a new one with a longer wire and I haven't had any problems since.

    I started off with Lively but they were non-responsive. I went down the list, tried Audicus and they were very responsive and followed up. I was able to do the online test without any difficulty. However, I still have difficulty hearing when there's a TV blaring and someone is trying to have a conversation or when there's a lot of background noise. I'd like them to be a little better in terms of improving my hearing, but other than that, it's fine.

    When I first got the hearing aids, my rep Jacob contacted me every week or so. I can get ahold of him if I have questions. I'm still trying to adjust to the product. When I first turn them on, they're loud. I can hear every little sound in the room. I have to go into them every day and take the volume down. I use the app and modify the sound levels. There are various levels. There is automatic, conversation and noise background. The one I use most is automatic. If I compare this hearing aid to the Boses, they're by far superior. I'm quite pleased with them. To be able to hear again is awesome.

    My order experience was great, but the Omni hearing aids came without the listening environments I requested. Instead, the Omni set I received were program to a previous set of hearing aids.     I went back and forth with Audicus a little bit before I tried the hearing aids. It might be cost-effective and so far, I'm happy. They’re far better than the ones that I replaced. These have features that I didn't have to pay for. They automatically connect to my phone via Bluetooth, which is nice. And I don't have to pay for buds and cleaning supplies. They send them to me automatically quarterly, which is a big plus. The hearing aids are rechargeable too, which is another cost saving feature. I’ve had them on for as much as 16 hours without a problem. The customer service is absolutely fantastic. Raye, an Audicus specialist, reaches out periodically to make sure things are going okay. At one point, I had an issue trying to connect the hearing aids to my phone. I called them, and within maybe four minutes, the problem was resolved because they can do remote adjustments.

Now it's $400 to repair them. Take my advice to never buy hearing aids from an online store because it takes weeks to get anything done.     It is next to impossible to contact Audicus by phone, voicemails are ignored, for the most part. Recently I my aids were not working, I called Audicus and was told to send them in for reprogramming. Your new address was not forthcoming, and no SO number was received.     My hearing aids were losing power after 12-4 hours. I hadn’t experienced that before. I would hear the low battery warning and then off. Jake and I tried to remedy this over phone. To no avail. It happened again. I knew I had to send them in but didn’t want to lose them for a few days. But I did send them in. After 2 weeks they were returned only to have it happen again. The new charger wasn’t of any help. In speaking with Jake to complain because I was without them for too long he mentioned Bluetooth causing a problem for some.     Audicus repaired my left aid. Now, my right aid does not work. I have cleaned it thoroughly, replacing the filter and affixing a new dome. It still doesn't work. Almost a week ago, I reported this to Audicus. I need an order number to send the aid to Audicus for repair. Days have passed without my being advised of the order number. That means days when I can't use my aid. Of course, at the same time, I am continuing to pay for my membership without the benefit of the use of one aid. This is very disruptive and has forced me to look for replacements for my Audicus aids. The company apparently is so successful that it doesn't care. The promises made to me to induce me to get my Audicus hearing aids turned out to be false.

    The hearing aid is not working out for me. I wanted to hear human voice in my left ear. I did not hear. All other sounds were magnified. Could not use a normal landline phone. The CSA suggested to hold the phone over the hearing aid. No. Not practical. My personal CSA called sometimes to find out how I was doing. That was nice. To much whistling noise. Still trying out different domes. Also, I could hear my breathing. I did not know that it was that loud.

    I have had Miracle-Ear and I wasn't happy with them. They irritated my ears, so I wasn't wearing them all the time. I tried the new Miracle-Ear on a trial basis and they were so expensive. I didn't feel it was worth $7,000 for me to get those hearing aids. Audicus was half that price. But Audicus is the same caliber of hearing aid as the Miracle-Ear that I have been wearing and the new ones they have that have circuit inside of them instead of replaceable batteries. I returned the Miracle-Ear one and I was looking for something less expensive and this seemed to be it. The complication is that I have to do all my own cleaning. I'm getting a little bit worried that I'm not going to be able to do that. I have to look up the instructions and how to do that.

    However, the Audicus hearing aids are very irritating to my ear and they make me really edgy. I'm always fooling around with them because they're starting to slide out. When they slide out, the hearing is diminished. The sound quality is better, but I can't seem to tolerate them in my ears. They sent me some additional caps for the hearing aid receiver. I've tried a couple of them and I still keep having trouble with them sliding out of my ear after a while. I was going to try another one before I make my final decision.

    The monthly rate is very expensive for the device I'm using. Adds up annually to over $2300 per year. There's no way these hearing aids cost that much!! And quality of the device isn't anything special. Connecting with Bluetooth is terrible. Sound quality is mediocre at best and connecting to devices can be troublesome.

    Hearing aids pick up a ton of wind noise and when using with Bluetooth, I can only explain the terrible sound quality as the music playing via Bluetooth continually clips, causing the music to come and go... really annoying so I never use the Bluetooth feature. Once I get home from overseas, I will be trying different devices hoping that sound quality and Bluetooth functions will be much improved with competitive devices.

    I'm liking Audicus very much. They are very helpful and I've been coming back. This is my third set of hearing aids from Audicus. The first device I had was the Diaz then I moved up to the Wave. I've recently moved up to the Omni. I had them a couple of years each time. I wanted to keep up with the technology as best I can while I can afford that easily. I love the Omni. It's incredible. It's more three-dimensional in sound and they bring a new dimension to hearing aids completely. This one allows you to use a remote on your phone so you have control over your hearing aid's volume and a number of the features right on your phone.

    They can also do updates directly through your phone to your hearing aid so you don't have to send them back in anymore. I've done one of those already. They initially sent me settings. But I had a little bit of some feedback every once in a while. We talked about it with the consultant and within 48 hours, they had arranged for that update to hit. It shows an alert on your phone. You hit a button, it opens up the app, puts it on your hearing aids, and it's all done. The convenience is great there. It also allows you to change programs if you want rather than fiddling with buttons on the hearing aids. They work, but it's a lot of extra work. These are also rechargeable. It's the first set of those that I've ever had and they have their own little outfits that you put them in every night and they charge up conveniently. Then, you just pull them out in the morning and they automatically turn on.

    Over the years, I've had three different consultants. Every one of them is so well-trained. They listen. It's so hard to find companies that listen to their customers and make suggestions based on what they think which meets what the customer said. They ask a lot of questions to make sure they're getting it right. They'll always give you the time to think. I refer my friends to Audicus all the time.

    I previously had a set of Wave hearing aids from Audicus. I liked them very much but I was interested in getting a pair that could be adjusted remotely so I would not have to send them back for adjustments. When I saw the specifications for the Omni, I was very interested in them. When I learned in an email that the first 50 existing Audicus customers to order the Omni would get a $1000 discount, I immediately ordered them. They worked well from the beginning but after a few weeks, I recognize the need for some small adjustments to prevent a minor problem with feedback in one of the hearing aids and the other needing a minor high frequency boost. The adjustments were made remotely and both hearing aids now perform as well as I hoped.     When my Bluetooth streamer quit on my last pair of hearing aids, I started shopping for replacements. I came across Audicus and thought I'd give them a try with the month to month leasing. The quality of the hearing aid is good and it was programmed to my specific needs. The only drawback I've had is the Bluetooth doesn't work very well. Even when my phone is within a foot or two, the connection is very staticky and unusable. It also drains the batteries much quicker than my old hearing aids. If that can be upgraded/corrected, these can get a 5 star rating for sure.

    Very happy with my recent purchase of a Clara hearing aid. I also have an earlier Oro unit from Audicus, but my hearing has worsened (age 79) in the last three years, so I needed an upgrade. I got it within a week of ordering it and they’ve checked back with me several times to make sure it was working okay. When I told them I had a question about something, they got back in touch with me very quickly to help me out with it. So the customer service has been very good. The hearing aid seemed to be working very well. I’m hearing things I haven’t heard, even with my previous hearing aids and I’ve been wearing hearing aids for over 30 years now.

    The hearing aid itself works very well. It's rechargeable, so the battery lasts a very long time. So far, I've had it last up to about 15 hours in a day. It's very sensitive. I hear all kinds of things. The nice thing is that it's got an app on the phone, so I can make adjustments to the hearing aid on my phone. If I have a real problem with the hearing aid, I can contact Audicus, and they can adjust it remotely if I need their help to do that. I'm very happy with it.

    Audicus has been great. The rep explained everything to me and how everything was gonna go. I bought the set that you can charge at night and I love them because that way, I don't have to buy batteries or worry about putting batteries in. I just pick them up, put them on and in my ear. Then the rest of the day is fine. It’s sitting behind the ear and they fit good with my glasses. The last one I had felt was so big that when I put my glasses on, it made my ears stick out. But this feels comfortable. I don't even know I'm wearing them most of the time.

    I can hear better now and I'm able to listen to music. But people say that whenever I talk to them on the phone through my hearing aids, they can't quite hear me. That's when I'm using the Bluetooth feature, which isn’t a big deal to me because I can switch over to the speaker and they could hear me fine then. So, my biggest thing is, I could hear what people are saying. That's what I got it for. There's a girl up there who is a representative for Audicus and she calls about once a week or once every two weeks to check on the Bluetooth. The quality of the hearing aids is sometimes too good because I get what my wife is saying, that sometimes I had to cut it down.

    Working with them has been frustrating. When I talked to the specialist about the fact that it wasn't helping my tinnitus, and they weren't comfortable, she tried to have me shift the hearing aid minutely in various positions, and take a picture of my ear to send to her. After about three tries, I had enough. I figured if the hearing aid was so fussy about its position, I didn't want them. But they have very good salespeople.

    I wore my Audicus hearing aids for about two weeks. I had worn hearing aids before so I knew what to expect, and these Audicus ones just didn't work for me. They were really light, comfortable, and I didn't even know I was wearing them. They were supposed to help when you're in a crowd. But when we would go out to eat, I was still asking my wife to repeat herself. I could hear the high-pitched noise but I still had trouble hearing people because even though I turn the volume all the way up, they still sounded low volume. I could hear the birds and I could hear the low pitch noises. But they really didn't benefit me.

    Customer service told me to wear the hearing aids a little bit longer to get used to them. But I sent them back. The only thing that I'm dissatisfied with is I haven't received my money and they've had enough time to return it. I need that money to get another pair of hearing aids someplace else. It cost me money because it's on my credit card so I'm paying interest on that. And it cost me $42 to mail those hearing aids back and I thought they were gonna reimburse me for that. They just told me what I needed to put on the shipping label and gave me a number. I insured the hearing aids when I sent them in case something happened to them.

    When I initially ordered the hearing aids, I ordered them with the battery. I then discovered it would save me money to get the rechargeable ones so I called Audicus and changed the order. They made that refund within just a few hours then they charged the credit card again. I don't why there is a difference now that it would take this long to refund the hearing aids. The hearing aids are good and there was nothing wrong with them when I shipped them back. That aside, the people I’ve dealt with were great. But I was really hoping the hearing aids would work for me. Now, I'm hearing just as well as I did with my Audicus, except I don't hear the high pitch noises. If I go out, I don't hear all the birds and the frogs.

    I called Audicus and it was a pleasant experience because they picked up after one ring. The party at the end of the phone was a listener and informative so, they immediately created good vibes. I originally went through a procedure where my insurance company said who the audiologist I had to use if I want to access their subsidies. The guy spent about 10 minutes with me and told me to write them a check for 3,500 bucks. I asked if that was in addition to the insurance company paying $3,000 and he said yes. I asked if the hearing aids costs $6,500 and he didn't like that, because I was doing the math.

    I started getting into the hearing aid business and calling around, and it's not unusual to have complicity. Apparently, what happens is that this particular audiology company paid Blue Cross maybe a million bucks to be the exclusive provider. Then, Blue Cross comes up with the $3,000 for the hearing aids and then, they soak a person for the other 3,500 bucks. Audicus is entirely different. It’s an interesting situation because apparently, the founder or the guy who put it together ran into the same situation I did. He went in and he thought it was a bunch of crap so, he created this system on the internet.

    Audicus has an audiologist and they do everything by telephone and the price for quality hearing aids was 2,400 bucks. I like their style of doing business. These hearing aids worked though there are some adjustments that can be done. They do the adjustments through the internet and through the iPhone app. So they're tech savvy and have good follow up. I was very impressed with the marketing guy because he wasn't a salesman. He listened and tried to understand what the situation was plus he seemed to know something about what was going on with regard to hearing loss.

    I was having trouble hearing women who had higher pitch voices and also children. So, I had difficulty hearing my grandkids, because they have a higher pitched voice. I don't have any problem with a man as well as driving along and hearing stuff in the road. So these things have to be tailored to the person's individual hearing profile that is determined by hearing tests. And you can see the lines for normal hearing, my hearing, and where I’m deficient. So Audicus is good about educating people.

    The representative walked me through some things that I could experience and how to get the testing done.     My brother purchased hearing aids from Audicus and he advised me to do the same thing, which I did. I knew what I wanted compared to what he had. So, finding the style was very easy. I couldn't hear even a keypad on a door and since I’ve had the hearing aids, I can hear all of them. You can hear the birds and all that stuff that’s missing. We’ve got a driveway alarm that goes off if somebody comes up the driveway and I could never hear that or rarely hear that. Now, I can hear it plain as day. I went with the Spirit because I wanted to be able to have the smartphone capability. I do not have Bluetooth but it’s there if I decide to have it. I like the idea of being able to go on my phone instead of reaching up there and trying to adjust them up and down. I’d buy the same hearing aid over again right now.

    I have worn hearing aids for twenty-plus years. I damaged my hearing from being a musician and working in the music industry for two decades. I have done the in-person audiologist thing. Out of four "professionals" only one audiologist was helpful. Most were young women, recently graduated from college who were part of the corporate machine to crank out the patients. When you can't hear well, you realize how much you are missing out of conversations, and the ability to interact. At one point I had insurance that would cover $1200 every three years. Sounds great except that the aids would be close to $5k, and you realize it was no benefit at all.

    When I found Audicus, I was at first skeptical about their methods and products. But the more I read, the more convinced that they were in fact trying to help, trying to provide hearing for those of us who needed help. So, I took the plunge two years ago with their subscription program. The Wave aid was very nice and helped me hear again, as at that point I was using the Costco aid. In March I moved up to the Spirit which is rechargeable, remotely programmable, and has an EQ on the phone app. After a month of constant use, I can say these are superior aids, that have all of the features I wanted/needed.
