About Audicus

Audicus has four hearing aid models in a variety of price ranges. It sells directly to consumers rather than through clinics, which can often lower costs for buyers. Audicus also offers a monthly membership program to help offset the initial cost of buying a hearing aid, allowing you to rent your hearing aids at a low monthly price instead of buying them outright.

I went to a local place and they wanted a very high amount of money for hearing aids. They were a bait and switch type of thing. They were running a special, but I wasn't in the parameters. I took my results with me, and I went to our Sam's Club, because they do a free hearing test, and I would compare it to see how honest it was. They were not available. I left a message. Because Audicus is associated with Sam’s, they called and asked me if I wanted to talk to them about it or did I want to wait and go to Sam’s and do it through them.

The person I talked to was so nice and they did the test over over the internet, and I compared it, so I knew it looked fine. They told me that Forbes recommended them, I read that, and they had a fair price, so I went with them. My experience was great. I worked with a lady, and she said she was there in Arizona. She was as accommodating as she could possibly be, very easy to deal with and was very knowledgeable. She got me an answer for any question I had.

The hearing aids take a long time to charge. Per the instructions, you're not supposed to leave them in the case plugged in for a long time. I'm not always ready with them. I could take a shower, get ready, and they're still not charged, so I leave them home again. I probably should time it a bit better, but we take at least a couple of hours to charge them. I'm not going to have them in when I'm working around the house. But if all of a sudden I decide to go do something, and I plug them in, they may not be ready when I am. Also, I'm constantly worried that the hearing aids will fall out of my ear. I don’t want to lose one. I have long hair, so it's hung up in my hair. They're a bit to get used to. They tickle or itch. Other than that, they're fine. They're good quality.

I can hear very well with the haering aids on. I put them on and everything's a bit louder, so I know they work fine. I always hear people say background noise drives them nuts with hearing aids, but mine are good. I probably should wear them more, but my hearing is not that bad. One time, Audicus adjusted them for me over the phone. I don't have problems with the background noise. I can go on my phone and adjust them, but I put them in and I feel they're okay.

Hi Sue, thank you so much for taking the time to share all about your experience so far. I'm so happy to hear we were able to help you get all set up virtually so you didn't have to wait and that you had the pleasure of chatting with Kelly! 😊 It's also great to know you haven't experienced background noise and you can hear very well with your Audicus hearing aids in. As for charging taking a long time, it sounds like you are doing a great job taking care of them and being cautious to not leave them in the charger for a long period of time. Many people will wear their hearing aids all day long and then pop them in to charge at night. Even if you don't wear the hearing aids all the time, maybe you can try out charging them at night every other night? Feel free to reach out to us anytime if you ever have questions or need any other adjustments made for you over the phone! ☺️

I walked into Costco and talked to the guy from Audicus. I bought the hearing aids online. I called the lady, and she called me back. I ordered the hearing aids and got them. Audicus said if I had any problem, they would tell me how to do it myself. I'm 70 years old. I can’t do all that stuff. There’s no store to take the hearing aids to and have them looked at. I contacted Audicus by phone but I found out they only do it online. I should be able to go somewhere to take them where they work on them, clean them, and get them to work right. The hearing aids work but the right one doesn't seem to work now. I gotta get another one.

I was extremely pleased. The gentleman I worked with during the sales process and right after the purchase was extremely knowledgeable, personable, professional, and easy to work with. He even gave me a number that I could call him back. I called him once to get a pointer on how to get the hearing aid paired with my phone. It was very pleasant.

At my age, I'm not a true outdoorsman anymore. It's very hot and humid in the summertime where I live. This is something I never thought about before I purchased the hearing aids, but with them not being waterproof, I'm a bit concerned about the hot days we would have and getting sweaty hair. Other than that, everything has been great. I like the fit. I've used the rubber pods. I used the one straight out of the package. I've contemplated trying one size larger, but I've been very pleased for the most part. All I got to do is have the hearing aids turn on when they come out of the charger, and be sure and have my app on the phone turned on, and I'm good to go. It's easy. My wife is much happier. I don't get nearly as much feedback as I got before I had them.

I tried a half dozen different hearing aids, and these ones from Audicus are the ones I'm most happy with. I got the rechargeable hearing aids. They're the best ones I've had so far. I like how it transfers the stuff into my other ear and it sounds like I'm hearing in both ears. They were expensive, but not as expensive as some of the other ones I've had. So, they're probably middle of the road. Some have been up to $3,000.

I filled out something online, thinking about hearing aids and a lady called me and talked me into it. She told me I could return the hearing aids if I didn’t like them. I tried that four times but nobody would take them back. I talked to another lady, and she said she would call me back but I never heard from her again. I sent the hearing aids to Audicus, and when I had them back, they still acted up. Then, the rep told me I was out of my warranty. But then they had the hearing aids for three weeks. They told me to send it back so they can replace it with another set that’s supposedly dialed in, because they're having trouble from the manufacturer. I sent them in last week, and I'm still waiting. Price-wise, I’ve seen people get the same kind for a whole lot cheaper. I bought these because Audicus said they take them back, but it hasn’t been like that the whole time.

I told one of my doctors that I needed hearing aids, then I heard that Costco had hearing aids. When I called them and set up an appointment, I got a call about two days later from Audicus saying that they could do it over the internet. So, I sent them my information and the audio test that I had, then they set up the hearing aids and sent them out to me. After I got them, I got on the phone and set up the app. Everything worked out great and so far, I like the app that lets you click the hearing aids to different settings for conversations.

The quality of the hearing aids has been very good, but I've had a little bit of trouble with the television hearing on it and I've been meaning to call them about it. Other than that, Audicus has been responsive to my request when I called. I talked to David a couple of times and he's been very helpful. I've had hearing aids for 10 years and when I first got them going off of my health insurance, they were affordable. Now, to replace my five-year-old hearing aids, it’s around $7,000 which is way more than I paid in the past. Audicus costs around 1,500 and I found that affordable. Also, their quality is comparable with what I tested with the $7,000 units. I like the Bluetooth feature, too. There was a point where they were going to download an upgrade and found out that my original hearing aids were not compatible with that upgrade. So, I got a second set of hearing aids from Audicus because of that. I had a person that I talked to for that and he was very helpful.

I was having trouble hearing in crowded areas and I went with Audicus because the way they spoke to me on the phone made it comfortable to do business with them. I got the Omni 2s, and it takes a little while to get used to, but they are comfortable. There was a couple of little glitches at the beginning but they worked through it with me and got all the bugs worked out of it. So everything, at that point, makes it all good. My hearing aids are the rechargeable type. They're behind the ear and the wire goes into the canal. I like everything about the way that they project the sound. It does everything that it needs to do for me. I like to be able to talk on it. I like that I can talk on them in my cell phone. I tap on my ear and pick up the phone.

I had a prior experience with Audicus and I needed an upgrade. I appreciated the much more modest price because I'm susceptible to damaging or losing the device. Lo and behold, I did lose one within the first couple of months. So, I had to replace that. Price-wise, they're not the most expensive out there. Working with Audicus has been good. They're very attentive, they communicate well with email and they're very good on the phone. I had to call them several times in the buying process. I got an over-the-ear type hearing aid that loops over the top of the ear. It has what I call an extra little pigtail on the part that inserts into the ear. That's a little cumbersome when you're installing them. It doesn't install quite as easily, but I think it makes it a little more secure in terms of locking it in. Oftentimes, I take the hearing aids off when I listen to music and I'll set them down someplace and I'll forget about them, and then I may forget to put them in the charger, although that hasn't really been a problem. They generally last a lot longer on the battery than between my charging cycles. I generally do it every night.

I highly recommend Audicus because they're good and they got a good price. They get the job done. If somebody is real particular about wanting 100% accuracy, they deliver them with a good ballpark sound in that you send them your hearing exam and they tailor it pretty much to that. It isn't perfect. For somebody who's fussy about that, they're probably better off going to one where a local audiologist can make the fine tuning for them. In general, when I listen to music, which is my critical listening where I do get fussy, I just take them out and turn the volume up. The level of the components that I use are very expensive and they're very high quality, and I'm able to detect that simply by turning the volume up.

I rarely discharge them completely. So, in essence, I'm only topping them off at night. They're always good to go in the morning. It doesn't take more than an hour or two to get a good, decent charge. For somebody that wears them all day from dawn till bedtime, they're easily gonna recharge overnight. I can easily go several days with the amount of time that I use them. If I'm on Zoom classes on the Internet or even just surfing the Internet, I typically wear headphones that give me a higher quality sound than the computer speakers. So, I don't bother with the hearing aids all that much during the day.

Bernadine has the Audicus Omni 2 hearing aids and they’re awesome. They work much better when she has them on, but she's not very good at wearing them. Her hearing is bad but it’s vanity that makes her not put them in. When they're functionally in, they're great and she can hear us very plainly from wherever. There's a microphone component that's behind the ear, and then there's a plastic nib that goes inside the ear canal. And I got the one with the chargeable case. The design is good, and I'm very pleased with Audicus. They have support and they went through the system. Their price point is right in with the mid to high ones, but their quality and what they give you is better. Anybody who's looking for hearing aids should have them under consideration. They're more expensive than people think, but it's a small, sophisticated piece of equipment.

My experience with Audicus has been mixed. Based on their initial recommendation, I started out with Beam models. They were disappointing. They didn't seem to help my speech discrimination in noisy environments, and the Android app was inconsistent in its ability to configure them. I requested they be replaced with Omni 2 models, which was a seamless transition, albeit I was charged the same for the Omnis as I had paid for the Beams. The Omnis are better than the Beams, although not perfect, They still seem to amplify background noise almost as much as speech but still improve speech comprehension slightly. The "Hearing Remote" app for my Android phone is flaky at best and useless at worse. Despite my phone's compliance with recommended specs - Android and Bluetooth version being compatible, the app rarely connects.

I've tried numerous times, using different sequences for my phone's Bluetooth setting and the app's connection instructions, including the Troubleshooting sequence in the manual. The app sometimes connects to one or the other hearing aid and rarely to both but loses connection during a day. The printed manual is also inconsistent, specifying that only the right hearing aid needs to be connected, but the app doesn't run unless both are connected and paired via the app. My phone is clearly communicating with the aids, as I can stream audio and route phone calls through them. At least the Omnis can be adjusted with their rocker buttons, so they're not totally dependent on the app for adjustments, It would be much more satisfactory if the app worked. In summary, the Omni 2s do improve my hearing, but the uselessness of the app prevents me from being fully satisfied.

I could hear people, but I couldn't understand them. It was like they were mumbling and I couldn't figure out what they were saying. I was thinking of going to Costco to get hearing aids because I have a Costco membership but my cousin was telling me about Audicus. I went with Audicus and I did it all through the website. I had a very easy experience considering I'm 77 years old. But when I went on the website to find out how to clean the hearing aids, I wish that whenever they're describing something, they could make it real big on the screen and show where the tool goes.

Other than that, I love my Audicus hearing aids and I've recommended them to a couple of people. Now that I have them, I'm not having to ask people to repeat themselves 10 times. I also like that one can't really see them and that I can answer the phone with my hearing aids instead of having to put the phone to my ear or on speaker. I listen to audiobooks as well and I can do it with these hearing aids. The price was fair and the quality has been very good too.

I also read a lot of reviews and it was good on them. I took the hearing test online and I thought it was gonna be adjusted from that hearing test where I could enjoy them. But so far, it hasn't been that way. The background noise is so bad. It's a high pitch and I can't get it adjusted. I'm not real savvy when it comes to that so I don't wear the hearing aids very often. I've got them paid for, but I'm not real satisfied with them. The batteries were dying on the hearing aids that I was using and replacing the battery was almost as much as getting new hearing aids because it was a different kind of battery. I was looking at other places, and even with a Medicare discount, the behind-the-ear hearing aids at the hearing center that I was going to were more than I could afford. I had to look at other options, and when I was looking around, I saw Audicus' ads. I read reviews on them and most of them were positive. Also, they're within my price range and customer service has been more than helpful with all the issues that I've had.

The ones that I have now are behind-the-ear with the little piece that goes in the ear. The other ones were easier to adjust in different settings. With the new ones, the adjustments don't hold. You have to redo it every time using the app. But once I get them adjusted to where they need to be, the sound and the clarity are much better. They're more comfortable as well and I like that people don't ask me, “What is that thing in your ear?” I wear the hearing aids until I go to bed then put them on the charger overnight.

I went with the price of the plans and the recommendation from somebody that's had numerous amounts of hearing aids in the past. She was pretty much satisfied with Audicus more so than any brand that she had in the past.

My hearing itself is not horrible. It's the ringing that's my biggest problem. It was so loud that it overshadowed any hearing that I would not be able to hear anything. With the hearing aids from Audicus, it made it a little bit easier to hear things over the ringing in my ear. I passed on my hearing test to them, and through it, a recommendation was made.

I'm very satisfied with the functionality of the hearing aids that I got. I've had no issues with it, and so I'm satisfied with everything. My hearing aids are very comfortable to me. I have hearing loss mainly on one side. I got an Audicus hearing aid because of the price but so far, if I put it in my good ear, the sound is so loud that I can't bear it. And if I put it in the bad ear, then I don't see any improvement. I'm not sure that I'm turning it on correctly, so I rarely use it. I'm also disappointed that there's absolutely no backup service from the company.

I already was wearing hearing aids and was getting them through the audiologist. They were getting more and more expensive. When I started with them years ago, they were $4,000 a pair and this last cycle was gonna be $7,000 so I went out and researched. Audicus had a good price and they did what I wanted. I have tinnitus and I wanted a hearing aid that made white noise so you can't hear the ringing. My old hearing aids had that and Audicus has that feature as well. A lot of the other hearing aids don't.

I went to my annual hearing test and my audiologist was quite chagrined that I wasn't wearing her hearing aids. But I had the test and I scored the same as last year with the hearing aids in, which told me that these are as good as what I was paying $7,000 for. The Audicus hearing aids were $1,600 which were was substantially less.

Audicus has good customer service as well. I did a hearing test online. They did all the things that I was doing in the audiologist's office. I have to do some of the things that they were doing myself. It was worth $5,000 for them to change their little little rubber things. I can do that. When I went to the audiologist, she wanted to charge me $2,990 to continue to have the support they've been giving me. It's like $3,000. I told her no thanks and that I'm an Audicus user now.

The only issue I would have with them is that they use Bluetooth. My phone in my car has Bluetooth and my phone and my hearing aids have Bluetooth. Sometimes they fight with each other. My hands-free in my car sometimes doesn't work. But I can live with it. But other than that, they're good instruments and I'm gonna have to buy some little rubber ear things eventually to replace them. But 10 bucks or something is not a big deal. Audicus also has a guy that I can text or email to ask questions anytime seven days a week. If something comes up and I shoot him a text on a Saturday afternoon, he responds. I couldn't get that from my audiologist. They're not open on the weekends.

The audiologist I went to had someone in-house that was offering hearing aids and it seemed extraordinarily expensive. I went online to see if I could find something that was more reasonable. I saw Audicus and found working with them was pretty easy and efficient. I've been happy with Audicus. In fact, I've gone back and made some changes as my hearing has changed, and they've adapted. They saved me money over what I thought I was going to pay until over what they were able to work out for me.

I like my Audicus hearing aids and I have recommended them to friends. They work fine. The ear piece fits into the ear and comes in a variety of sizes. You can pick what works best. Many times, I totally forget I'm wearing them. I've gotten in the shower and forgotten I had them on. That's how comfortable they are. I've had no problems with them from the day I got them. "

I haven't used them that much, but they do work very well. It has a Bluetooth that can last for eight hours before I need to recharge. I use the app for volume control. Once I get used to wearing them, everything will be beautiful. They're good quality for the price.

A minute after I logged into the Audicus website, someone called me. It was a rush and I didn't even get a chance to look at the website. They called me on my phone because I put my phone number in. They said I would get a 10% discount or some type of promotion. They said the deal was right then and it was gonna end if I didn’t buy the hearing aids. I was talked into it and I bought them right there on my credit card. I paid $1,800 for them. They're not super expensive, but they're not cheap either.

Now, I have to program them. My experience of getting that done is not good. I did the thing at home several times but it never really worked. When I programmed it doing the online thing, it never seemed to do anything. I was told I have severe hearing loss. I used the hearing aids for a little bit and I didn't even notice a difference in my hearing.

Audicus only has one office in New York. They said they do the programming remotely, but they don't really because they didn't do it for me. When I spoke with customer service, I was told I gotta go to another hearing aid company store to get a hearing test and then send Audicus the file in certain format. They said they'll reprogram my hearing aids based on that file. That was a couple of months ago and I haven't done anything since then because I gotta find a place.

I would probably go to a place that is local than the mail order place because I can't get service. I'm in Massachusetts and Audicus is in New York. They don't have any offices and stores to do the hearing test. They can program their devices over the air but they need a good test. They don't offer a way to do a good test so how do I get it programmed? That's the problem I have. There’s a place right in my own town that sells hearing aids. I probably should have gone there first. They could have set me up with very similar hearing aids and it might have been a different brand. But they're right there in my town for support.

Audicus didn’t really support me. They said, “Oh, we got an audio here.” But how could they do my hearing test? I tried doing it over the phone with their online hearing test and it wasn’t good enough. Audicus customizes the hearing aids over the air somehow, which is a good feature. The bad feature is getting that file professionally. They don't have a better way to do a hearing test somehow. If I do it over the phone, there could be interference. The equipment could say it's not giving me the right sound to know that I'm hearing it.

My experience with Audicus is not that great. I paid $1,800 for hearing aids that are just sitting on my shelf. Their customer service let me down. It's not like they were mean or they were not nice, they just couldn’t help me. Now, I have to go to another place that sells a different hearing aid and say, “I want you to do the hearing test. But I don't wanna buy your hearing aid. I just want you to give me the file. 'Cause I bought another hearing aid.” It is awkward that Audicus put me in this situation. That's why I regret buying their hearing aids.

I've been wearing hearing aids for 30 years and I needed new ones. I found Audicus on the web and it sounded like a product that I could use, so I took a chance. The website was a bit confusing for me. I'm not really good with computers, but I'm glad I talked to somebody. He explained some things to me about the hearing aids and about going forward.

With Audicus, I don't have to bother with batteries because these are electric. I have to plug them in each night. That is good. But it's also bad. The hearing aids were in their charger overnight and I must have tripped on the cord and it came unplugged, so they weren't charged in the morning. That was a little scary because I depend on them. I'm very hard of hearing. But I was able to work around the kitchen in the house and plug them in for a while. They caught up a little bit. That night, I was able to do the rest of it.

Audicus was very good with customer service at first. Now I haven't heard from them in quite a long time. I don't understand a lot of the different features, so I don't know how to use them. There's no way to know you're in a certain program. You beep through it and it doesn't do anything for me. I just go along with it as it is. Hopefully, I'm getting what I need. All in all, I’m satisfied. I have these perfectly adequate hearing aids that I got at what I consider a pretty good price compared to what I was being quoted by my audiologist. I’m using them regularly and they work.

I don't like the Audicus hearing aids. I hate them, but I have to have them. It's not that they're bad. It's just me. I can't remember to put them in. But everybody said I have to get used to it. It's only been so many months. But their customer service is outstanding.

I have small ear canals and the hearing aids actually corrected the problem. It's just that I don't wear them all the time because my ears aren't used to having something inside them. Also, if I wear them all day and I take them out, my hearing is diminished. It comes back, but it's like I've heard a loud noise. So I have to get used to that. There was a problem with them not recharging, so they sent me another pair. There was no argument.

I don't have a problem with the Bluetooth. The app works great and as described. When I got the new pair because the other ones weren't doing what they were supposed to, I went back and they had to show me how to repair them with my phone.

I had a problem when I got updates in my phone and couldn't figure out how to stop them. Their customer service was very good helping me get rid of it and turn it off. Another downside is there's a lot of control. If I have my family over and some of them are just too loud, I could turn them down, but then I can't hear the people that aren't too loud. Other people who bought more expensive hearing aids also have the same problems.

I'm not complaining about them. The service is outstanding. I'm happy with Audicus. There's nothing negative I could say about it. It's just mostly me getting used to them.

I looked on Google and Audicus was #2. I tried number one, but they never answered the phone, so I went to Audicus. I mostly did everything through an individual. I like talking to someone and I'm not a fan of doing something online. I interacted with a specialist and she was wonderful. She made me feel confident and made me know that if I was not happy with the hearing aids, I could get a full refund. Talking to the people and the specialists, they were really good. I was impressed with it.

The hearing aids are perfect and they definitely come in handy. I like the fact that they have Bluetooth. I also like the fact that I can call them and send a picture of what I want in a different program, like a church mode, individual, and let them remotely put it all into the hearing aid. I love that part because each time you put the hearing aids in the charger and turn it, it automatically turns off and goes back to reset. What you were listening to and felt comfortable with, now you have to program again.

You can call Audicus any time. I called before Thanksgiving to ask a question and nobody was there. They apologized for missing the call. It was okay and it was my fault. I had wax build-up in my ear and realized how to get the wax build-up in the hearing aid. I visit the website all the time. They give you different things like videos on how to clean the hearing aids.

I love Audicus and I've recommended it to people I see playing pickleball that are my age. I have told friends to give it a try as they have nothing to lose. Audicus is a whole lot cheaper. I checked out Costco on their hearing aids and they wanted $6,000. The other ones are between 5,000 and 6,000. The price of the Audicus is great because it's only $72 a month. I'm a senior citizen on a limited budget, so I’m okay with no interest for two years. I like the fact too that I got that thing where if something happens to the hearing aids or they get lost or stolen, Audicus will give me one time a brand-new one and not a reconditioned one.

I was looking at the online options, and Audicus looked like they have good quality. The reviews were all positive as well. They're not rated as the top ones, but they were only rated down because people didn't like only remote options. But that's what I was looking for so I didn't hold that against Audicus at all. I did the online hearing test then I sent them my contacts from my previous hearing tests. The assistance was right on the money.

Once I got the app downloaded, everything came right in through the app. I went pretty quickly from the website to phone assistance to the app and finished it up from there. I had it mostly set up before I got the instructions to set it up. The Bluetooth feature is probably the best part of it. I was using Widex hearing aids, and the app's similar. The familiarity helped me there some, too.

I've been happy since my Audicus hearing aids cost a third of what my insurance paid for my first set of hearing aids. Also the convenience of the remote assistance has been a nice part about it. I don't have to drive anywhere. I've already saved on four audiologist visits.

I've been really impressed with the ability to get adjustments as I need them. I've had three different adjustments, one for volume, one for clarity and one for noise reduction. The rep, Liam, suggested the noise reduction along with the clarity increase. She said it's pretty common, and it was a great suggestion. The support's been really good and I've already recommended Audicus to people.
