About Audicus
Audicus has four hearing aid models in a variety of price ranges. It sells directly to consumers rather than through clinics, which can often lower costs for buyers. Audicus also offers a monthly membership program to help offset the initial cost of buying a hearing aid, allowing you to rent your hearing aids at a low monthly price instead of buying them outright.
- Relatively affordable
- 100-day money-back trial
- Membership option
- Audiology-grade devices
- Profound hearing loss models available only in stores
- Must send away for repairs

I have the hearing aids that charge. It has been a few months since I've had them. I called Audicus because I'm having trouble with my hearing aids. The box has been going in and out. I'm waiting for somebody to call me back so I can let them know that I need a new box for my hearing aids. Other than that, they have been excellent.
Hi Juan! Thank you for sharing and that besides the charging issue with the box, everything has been excellent! I see you've been in touch with your Audicus specialist a few times since this review so I hope you were able to either troubleshoot the charging issue or replace the charging box. You can always text or email us as well if you have a quick question!

When I purchased my Audicus hearing aids, I went through the website, then I got in touch with the representatives. The website was very good and so far, the hearing aids have been terrific. I had hearing aids before, and so I'm quite used to them. I had Sydney hearing aids that were outstanding and I had those for about eight years. But then my hearing had deteriorated a little more, so I needed something more powerful. That was when I started shopping around and one of my friends told me about Audicus, which is much more economical than getting a hearing aid from a brick-and-mortar hearing aid center where you go in. Then I decided to use Audicus and I've had a good experience. I also referred someone else to them and they sent me a check.
Hi Bob, I'm so happy you've had such a terrific experience with Audicus! It is always so nice to hear from someone who is quite experienced with hearing aids and has been very happy about making the switch to Audicus. Love that you heard about us from a friend and then also recommended Audicus to a friend. Thanks for taking the time to share and please let us know if you ever need help with anything, 😊

The rep was very knowledgeable, friendly and attentive when I purchased my hearing aid, and it was a very pleasant experience. This is my first one. The little piece goes down in my ear and the bigger piece is over my ear. The purchase process was very easy and the price was right. People should give it a try.

The Beam’s wire doesn’t fit my ear and the domes make my inner ears itch. I asked for a longer wire and I was told that a longer wire was not available for this model however I found that there is a #5 and Audicus told me that a number 5 is not available.. Overall not a bad experience.

I've been happy with my Audicus hearing aids. They worked with me initially to get them set up right for me. I charge them every night. I use Bluetooth, and I listen to a lot of podcasts throughout the day with my hearing aids. They're very good. I forget that I have them on. The fit hasn't been an issue at all.
Hi Ray, thank you for taking the time to share. I heard about Audicus through a friend of mine and reached out to them online. It didn’t take very long to receive my hearing aids. This is my first time wearing them, so it takes getting used to because I’ve gone so many years without them. The Bluetooth is neat. You can answer your phone with it and pair it up to your stereo, but they’re not like my Bose when you listen to music. Once you put them on, you almost forget you have them on, which is good. But if you get in the shower or jump in the pool, you better remember you have them on, though they’re water-resistant. The batteries are rechargeable and last almost 20 hours. Compared to other hearing aids I’ve seen, the price is very good. I haven’t used the app that long, so I’m still getting used to it. The customer service reps also call and check on you.

I walked into Costco and talked to the guy from Audicus. I bought the hearing aids online. I called the lady, and she called me back. I ordered the hearing aids and got them. Audicus said if I had any problem, they would tell me how to do it myself. I'm 70 years old. I can’t do all that stuff. There’s no store to take the hearing aids to and have them looked at. I contacted Audicus by phone but I found out they only do it online. I should be able to go somewhere to take them where they work on them, clean them, and get them to work right. The hearing aids work but the right one doesn't seem to work now. I gotta get another one.

I was extremely pleased. The gentleman I worked with during the sales process and right after the purchase was extremely knowledgeable, personable, professional, and easy to work with. He even gave me a number that I could call him back. I called him once to get a pointer on how to get the hearing aid paired with my phone. It was very pleasant.
At my age, I'm not a true outdoorsman anymore. It's very hot and humid in the summertime where I live. This is something I never thought about before I purchased the hearing aids, but with them not being waterproof, I'm a bit concerned about the hot days we would have and getting sweaty hair. Other than that, everything has been great. I like the fit. I've used the rubber pods. I used the one straight out of the package. I've contemplated trying one size larger, but I've been very pleased for the most part. All I got to do is have the hearing aids turn on when they come out of the charger, and be sure and have my app on the phone turned on, and I'm good to go. It's easy. My wife is much happier. I don't get nearly as much feedback as I got before I had them.

I tried a half dozen different hearing aids, and these ones from Audicus are the ones I'm most happy with. I got the rechargeable hearing aids. They're the best ones I've had so far. I like how it transfers the stuff into my other ear and it sounds like I'm hearing in both ears. They were expensive, but not as expensive as some of the other ones I've had. So, they're probably middle of the road. Some have been up to $3,000.
Thank you Arnold! It's so great to hear your Audicus hearing aids have been your favorite, especially after trying so many different options. I filled out something online, thinking about hearing aids and a lady called me and talked me into it. She told me I could return the hearing aids if I didn’t like them. I tried that four times but nobody would take them back. I talked to another lady, and she said she would call me back but I never heard from her again. I sent the hearing aids to Audicus, and when I had them back, they still acted up. Then, the rep told me I was out of my warranty. But then they had the hearing aids for three weeks. They told me to send it back so they can replace it with another set that’s supposedly dialed in, because they're having trouble from the manufacturer. I sent them in last week, and I'm still waiting. Price-wise, I’ve seen people get the same kind for a whole lot cheaper. I bought these because Audicus said they take them back, but it hasn’t been like that the whole time.

I've had hearing aids for 10 years and when I first got them going off of my health insurance, they were affordable. Now, to replace my five-year-old hearing aids, it’s around $7,000 which is way more than I paid in the past. Audicus costs around 1,500 and I found that affordable. Also, their quality is comparable with what I tested with the $7,000 units. I like the Bluetooth feature, too. There was a point where they were going to download an upgrade and found out that my original hearing aids were not compatible with that upgrade. So, I got a second set of hearing aids from Audicus because of that. I had a person that I talked to for that and he was very helpful.
Thank you for sharing this Thomas and deciding to try out Audicus after 10 years of wearing hearing aids!

I was having trouble hearing in crowded areas and I went with Audicus because the way they spoke to me on the phone made it comfortable to do business with them. I got the Omni 2s, and it takes a little while to get used to, but they are comfortable. There was a couple of little glitches at the beginning but they worked through it with me and got all the bugs worked out of it. So everything, at that point, makes it all good. My hearing aids are the rechargeable type. They're behind the ear and the wire goes into the canal. I like everything about the way that they project the sound. It does everything that it needs to do for me. I like to be able to talk on it. I like that I can talk on them in my cell phone. I tap on my ear and pick up the phone.

I had a prior experience with Audicus and I needed an upgrade. I appreciated the much more modest price because I'm susceptible to damaging or losing the device. Lo and behold, I did lose one within the first couple of months. So, I had to replace that. Price-wise, they're not the most expensive out there. Working with Audicus has been good. They're very attentive, they communicate well with email and they're very good on the phone. I had to call them several times in the buying process. I got an over-the-ear type hearing aid that loops over the top of the ear. It has what I call an extra little pigtail on the part that inserts into the ear. That's a little cumbersome when you're installing them. It doesn't install quite as easily, but I think it makes it a little more secure in terms of locking it in. Oftentimes, I take the hearing aids off when I listen to music and I'll set them down someplace and I'll forget about them, and then I may forget to put them in the charger, although that hasn't really been a problem. They generally last a lot longer on the battery than between my charging cycles. I generally do it every night.
I highly recommend Audicus because they're good and they got a good price. They get the job done. If somebody is real particular about wanting 100% accuracy, they deliver them with a good ballpark sound in that you send them your hearing exam and they tailor it pretty much to that. It isn't perfect. For somebody who's fussy about that, they're probably better off going to one where a local audiologist can make the fine tuning for them. In general, when I listen to music, which is my critical listening where I do get fussy, I just take them out and turn the volume up. The level of the components that I use are very expensive and they're very high quality, and I'm able to detect that simply by turning the volume up.
I rarely discharge them completely. So, in essence, I'm only topping them off at night. They're always good to go in the morning. It doesn't take more than an hour or two to get a good, decent charge. For somebody that wears them all day from dawn till bedtime, they're easily gonna recharge overnight. I can easily go several days with the amount of time that I use them. If I'm on Zoom classes on the Internet or even just surfing the Internet, I typically wear headphones that give me a higher quality sound than the computer speakers. So, I don't bother with the hearing aids all that much during the day.

Bernadine has the Audicus Omni 2 hearing aids and they’re awesome. They work much better when she has them on, but she's not very good at wearing them. Her hearing is bad but it’s vanity that makes her not put them in. When they're functionally in, they're great and she can hear us very plainly from wherever. There's a microphone component that's behind the ear, and then there's a plastic nib that goes inside the ear canal. And I got the one with the chargeable case. The design is good, and I'm very pleased with Audicus. They have support and they went through the system. Their price point is right in with the mid to high ones, but their quality and what they give you is better. Anybody who's looking for hearing aids should have them under consideration. They're more expensive than people think, but it's a small, sophisticated piece of equipment.

My experience with Audicus has been mixed. Based on their initial recommendation, I started out with Beam models. They were disappointing. They didn't seem to help my speech discrimination in noisy environments, and the Android app was inconsistent in its ability to configure them. I requested they be replaced with Omni 2 models, which was a seamless transition, albeit I was charged the same for the Omnis as I had paid for the Beams. The Omnis are better than the Beams, although not perfect, They still seem to amplify background noise almost as much as speech but still improve speech comprehension slightly. The "Hearing Remote" app for my Android phone is flaky at best and useless at worse. Despite my phone's compliance with recommended specs - Android and Bluetooth version being compatible, the app rarely connects.
I've tried numerous times, using different sequences for my phone's Bluetooth setting and the app's connection instructions, including the Troubleshooting sequence in the manual. The app sometimes connects to one or the other hearing aid and rarely to both but loses connection during a day. The printed manual is also inconsistent, specifying that only the right hearing aid needs to be connected, but the app doesn't run unless both are connected and paired via the app. My phone is clearly communicating with the aids, as I can stream audio and route phone calls through them. At least the Omnis can be adjusted with their rocker buttons, so they're not totally dependent on the app for adjustments, It would be much more satisfactory if the app worked. In summary, the Omni 2s do improve my hearing, but the uselessness of the app prevents me from being fully satisfied.

I could hear people, but I couldn't understand them. It was like they were mumbling and I couldn't figure out what they were saying. I was thinking of going to Costco to get hearing aids because I have a Costco membership but my cousin was telling me about Audicus. I went with Audicus and I did it all through the website. I had a very easy experience considering I'm 77 years old. But when I went on the website to find out how to clean the hearing aids, I wish that whenever they're describing something, they could make it real big on the screen and show where the tool goes.
Other than that, I love my Audicus hearing aids and I've recommended them to a couple of people. Now that I have them, I'm not having to ask people to repeat themselves 10 times. I also like that one can't really see them and that I can answer the phone with my hearing aids instead of having to put the phone to my ear or on speaker. I listen to audiobooks as well and I can do it with these hearing aids. The price was fair and the quality has been very good too.

I also read a lot of reviews and it was good on them. I took the hearing test online and I thought it was gonna be adjusted from that hearing test where I could enjoy them. But so far, it hasn't been that way. The background noise is so bad. It's a high pitch and I can't get it adjusted. I'm not real savvy when it comes to that so I don't wear the hearing aids very often. I've got them paid for, but I'm not real satisfied with them. It could be partly my fault because I hadn't followed up on them, but they're not what I expected them to be. Though I like the size of the hearing aids, I wouldn't advise others to get them.

The batteries were dying on the hearing aids that I was using and replacing the battery was almost as much as getting new hearing aids because it was a different kind of battery. I was looking at other places, and even with a Medicare discount, the behind-the-ear hearing aids at the hearing center that I was going to were more than I could afford. I had to look at other options, and when I was looking around, I saw Audicus' ads. I read reviews on them and most of them were positive. Also, they're within my price range and customer service has been more than helpful with all the issues that I've had.
The ones that I have now are behind-the-ear with the little piece that goes in the ear. The other ones were easier to adjust in different settings. With the new ones, the adjustments don't hold. You have to redo it every time using the app. But once I get them adjusted to where they need to be, the sound and the clarity are much better. They're more comfortable as well and I like that people don't ask me, “What is that thing in your ear?” I wear the hearing aids until I go to bed then put them on the charger overnight.

I have a coworker that was already using hearing aids from Audicus. So, I looked at prices and everything. I went with the price of the plans and the recommendation from somebody that's had numerous amounts of hearing aids in the past. She was pretty much satisfied with Audicus more so than any brand that she had in the past.
My hearing itself is not horrible. It's the ringing that's my biggest problem. It was so loud that it overshadowed any hearing that I would not be able to hear anything. With the hearing aids from Audicus, it made it a little bit easier to hear things over the ringing in my ear. I passed on my hearing test to them, and through it, a recommendation was made.
I'm very satisfied with the functionality of the hearing aids that I got. I've had no issues with it, and so I'm satisfied with everything. My hearing aids are very comfortable to me. I already was wearing hearing aids and was getting them through the audiologist. They were getting more and more expensive. When I started with them years ago, they were $4,000 a pair and this last cycle was gonna be $7,000 so I went out and researched. Audicus had a good price and they did what I wanted. I have tinnitus and I wanted a hearing aid that made white noise so you can't hear the ringing. My old hearing aids had that and Audicus has that feature as well. A lot of the other hearing aids don't.
I went to my annual hearing test and my audiologist was quite chagrined that I wasn't wearing her hearing aids. But I had the test and I scored the same as last year with the hearing aids in, which told me that these are as good as what I was paying $7,000 for. The Audicus hearing aids were $1,600 which were was substantially less.
Audicus has good customer service as well. I did a hearing test online. They did all the things that I was doing in the audiologist's office. I have to do some of the things that they were doing myself. It was worth $5,000 for them to change their little little rubber things. I can do that. When I went to the audiologist, she wanted to charge me $2,990 to continue to have the support they've been giving me. It's like $3,000. I told her no thanks and that I'm an Audicus user now.
The only issue I would have with them is that they use Bluetooth. My phone in my car has Bluetooth and my phone and my hearing aids have Bluetooth. Sometimes they fight with each other. My hands-free in my car sometimes doesn't work. But I can live with it. But other than that, they're good instruments and I'm gonna have to buy some little rubber ear things eventually to replace them. But 10 bucks or something is not a big deal. Audicus also has a guy that I can text or email to ask questions anytime seven days a week. If something comes up and I shoot him a text on a Saturday afternoon, he responds. I couldn't get that from my audiologist. They're not open on the weekends.

I saw Audicus and found working with them was pretty easy and efficient. I've been happy with Audicus. In fact, I've gone back and made some changes as my hearing has changed, and they've adapted. They saved me money over what I thought I was going to pay until over what they were able to work out for me.
I like my Audicus hearing aids and I have recommended them to friends. They work fine. The ear piece fits into the ear and comes in a variety of sizes. You can pick what works best. Many times, I totally forget I'm wearing them. I've gotten in the shower and forgotten I had them on. That's how comfortable they are. I've had no problems with them from the day I got them. "
