I have bought the Simmons Extra Firm mattress in July 2019 and started using it only from March 2020 after I was back to the US from a trip. In September, after using it for only 6 months I started waking up in the morning with back ache. I noticed the mattress has my body prints and 'sank' about 1/2 an inch already. I thought that if I buy an Extra Firm model, it will stay firm for a long time - that is not the case with the one I bought - Simmons mattress.

I filled a claim with customer service and called them after a week to check on the status. Well, they could not find my email so I re-sent it to them and stayed on the phone to make sure they have received it. I had all they have asked - the warranty label, photos that show the depression with measurements, and other pictures they made you take, like the frame, the base, etc. Four days after, I have received an email from them that that the depression is normal and therefor my claim is dismissed. I'm 6 feet tall and weigh only 145 pounds. Do you think an expensive mattress, extra firm mattress should start sinking after only 6 months of use? I would not recommend anyone to buy Simmons mattresses.

I purchased a queen mattress by BEAUTYREST Simmons 2 years ago. The mattress material inside literally bunched up and went to one side when I moved it to another bedroom. BEAUTYREST did replace it with another that was not the quality I purchased. When unwrapped it to place it on the frame it had collapsed more than the first mattress! I called, never getting a return call.

So I went online, emailed and they stated I had to file like the, first one. I did and they denied the claim. They said I should not put a frame under the mattress that couldn’t support. I told them I had nowhere else to put the mattress. And why didn’t they call me back right after I received the mattress? It didn’t matter even filing the claim and seeing the frame they immediately decided to deny the claim. So now I am out hundreds of dollars and have 2 mattresses that can’t be used. I have always purchased from Simmons but not anymore. When the new people bought the company it went to heck in a handbasket.

We purchased a Beautyrest Recharge foam mattress and after a couple years the foam support on one side started to pull away from the body of the mattress and I've been sinking further and further into a hole. Going through the warranty process was an extremely long process. Filling out forms and supplying pictures, waiting months for approval or denial. Once approved finally, we then had to submit pictures of the tags being removed and cut up. Then you have to pay $85 up front to secure a shipment of your replacement. So we went through the entire process, paid the money and received confirmation that a replacement would be sent out in 4 to 6 weeks. 6 weeks went by and I called to follow up. Customer service tells me that my replacement mattress had been sent already to the delivery agent and they would follow up with them about a delivery time. 2 more weeks go by and I call to follow up again, keeping in mind this hole continues to grow.

Now I am told that there is a shortage of materials and that my mattress was not sent as I was previously told. My next "projected" shipment is next week, but that is subject to change based on supplies and availability. I bet they have not stopped making new mattresses for the stores! They will not offer a voucher that I can use towards going and just getting my own mattress. I would go get a different mattress all together, but have little choice other than to ride this out now and hope that some day, a replacement will be coming. I do not recommend this company! I had a previous mattress, not Beautyrest, that lasted over 20 years and no issues. Tried this new one, and it was shot in just 2 years. I wish I had my 20 year old mattress over this one. I'm tempted to buy a different mattress anyway and just refuse the replacement if it ever shows up.

We ALWAYS buy Simmons mattresses, every 7 to 10 years we redo 2 twins mattresses, 3 queens and 1 king, even if nothing is wrong with them. We bought again, 4 years ago, 2 twins, 3 queens and 1 king. Every single queen bed had a problem, there was a major slant and 2.5 inch dent in one of the mattresses. We went to a mattress place to buy more and the lady told us about the warranty. Since December 2019 I have been sending pictures back and forth. Every time I got a different answer. First the perfectly clear pictures, were not clear, then the pictures were not of the whole mattress, when it was 100%, then the angle was wrong, then they never received pictures, then back to the pictures are not clear...

Yesterday I called again, sent to someone else, that said they never got pictures again. The email they told us to send the pictures to, that they kept saying they received, was the a good email, the email THEY sent me, but that's not the one they wanted to pictures to go to NOW. Today I was denied, the mattress is slanted or shift, 2.5 inch dip and I was denied because there is a stain. I guess a sweat stain, a stain. The mattress is completely messed up, there 100% fault, but voided because of a stain, not a huge stain, not a nasty stain, but a stain that you have to zoom in on the picture.

I will never buy Simmons again. A loyal customer, 6 mattress every 7 to 10 years, like clock work and this is how they repay you. It's time I figure it out anyway with updated mattress that are far better than old school, non flipping, coil mattresses. Hopefully a mattress store is open now, we are on on way to buy one now and it will NOT be a Simmons.

Beware of Beautyrest, You May Not Get What You Pay For. I purchased a Beautyrest mattress through a national retailer who sent my order to the factory and then scheduled the delivery when it was ready. Below are the build labels as attached at delivery.

    (Missing photo)

Also attached to the mattress by plastic fast tacks is the shipping label.

    (Missing photo)

What are these other plastic fast tacks on either side of the foot of the mattress?

    (Missing photos)

Why are these on my newly manufactured mattress which I watched the delivery crew unwrap and place on the platform in my bedroom? Neither I nor the delivery crew removed any labels. A simple reason jumps immediately to my mind. Other people have had this mattress and removed tags. I called Macy’s and was told the mattress was newly manufactured to my order.

I emailed the Beautyrest Warranty Department with attached photos and asked for an explanation for the two groupings of empty fast tacks on my new mattress. They had no explanation and insisted it was newly manufactured per my order. I wrote the CEO and Chairman of Serta Simmons Bedding LLC, parent of Beautyrest, asking for a new replacement mattress. Within days, I received an email to call the Warranty Department. The representative I spoke with did not have my letter with the photos documenting my purchase and the missing labels, just some information typed on her screen.

I explained the situation and that I wanted my mattress replaced. She also stated the mattress is made to order and she had no explanation for the two missing labels. I paid for a new mattress. Did I get what I paid for? To take it further, where has this mattress been? Is it safe to have in the house and sleep on? Will you get what you pay for when ordering a new Beautyrest mattress?

Then again, same thing happened, now they had gone out of business, dealt directly with Simmons. They replaced with Silver 900 series $85 delivery. It's been two weeks and this one is lumping up too. I believe it's the same mattress with updated fabric and new name. Now I have to go check out their mattresses, find same price of $799 or upgrade, in addition pay difference, pay delivery and taxes and loose warranty and cannot return. The same priced ones are Silver also, same top which I imagine will lump too.

Cheaper one is $699 so how would they handle that? I'm thinking about small claims, I would like my money back so I can purchase a better mattress elsewhere. We bought this "mattress" 10 months ago and I'm here to tell you, it is the WORST mattress I have ever bought. And when I say bought, this thing wasn't cheap. After about 6 months this thing had two sinkholes that provided zero back support and now gives me severe lower back pain come morning. Mattress Firm obviously don't want to have anything to do with a customer who wants to return a defective, faulty, poorly made, etc after 120 days, which coincidentally was around the time I started to feel a little achy and began to question the mattress.

From what I've read Beautyrest want to see 1.5' to 2' of sagging without an actual human lying on it to validate "sagging" which is utterly ridiculous and a policy which is an affront as a mattress company. I'm taking steps to fix this myself, but I think the game is up for these types of companies. And rightly so. Awful mattress, do yourself a favour and stay away from.

I even purchased different pillows to help with the problem but it doesn’t help. This is an expensive $900 purchase and I have no recourse since I purchased it at final sale from Crate & Barrel in Miami. Shortly after the delivery I was away for one month. Now I spend most of my nights sleeping on my sofa bed or on the couch, since I’m afraid of how I’ll feel in the morning. I will never purchase another Simmons mattress. This industry has changed dramatically in the last 10years and certainly not for the best.

Bought a Simmons king size 25 year warranty mattress from Mattress Firm in 2014. They sold us on how wonderful the warranty was and how dependable their service after sale was. 18 months later the mattress was sagging on both sides. I called Mattress Firm and the girl told me that body impressions weren't covered under warranty.

About another year later we could no longer stand sleeping on the mattress because it caused us so much pain. Visited Mattress Firm again and the sales associate told me that whomever I had spoken with on the phone was incorrect and that I should push forward with a claim, so I did. You download a template that you fold so that it stands vertical to the bed, lay a broomstick in front of the template, take a picture and email it to them. From this they determine if you have a valid claim.

I did not have a valid claim but I did learn that they consider 1 1/2 inches to be a NORMAL body impression AND THAT IT SAYS SO RIGHT ON THE LABEL THAT IS ATTACHED TO THE MATTRESS! This was never pointed out at the time of sale, so buyer beware! Also the plush cushion layer on top is not tufted to the next layer so you really can't get an accurate body impression measurement anyway! My mattress is also mushrooming out on the sides.

    My two mistakes were:
    1. Buying from Mattress Firm. I trusted their length of time in business and their word in what and how they sold. They do not stand behind what they sell and become downright rude at times during the claims process! They make you feel as if you are on trial!

    2. Trusting the name of Simmons Beautyrest! I trusted them because of their length of time in business and the warranty offered. Everything they make is overpriced times 5!

    Lessons learned:
    1. Don't trust based on length of time in business!
    2. Read the fine print. The 25 year warranty is not worth the paper that it is written on because of all of the exclusions!
    3. Paying more does not get you anything extra!

    4. Go online to Amazon or Wayfair. Buy a best rated $500 mattress and in a couple of years, get rid of it and get a new one!

It felt really good in the showroom. Well the mattress delivered had a hump in the middle. We called Beautyrest and they wanted nothing to do with us. Said we needed to go back to where we purchased it, so we did. They had me send picture of mattress and eventually replaced the mattress. Our new one had no visible hump but after we slept on it for a couple weeks we noticed 2 things. While the mattress seemed to break in better, we continued to see it extremely more firm in the center. Almost felt like you were rolling to the side of the bed. Not sure why they decided to make the edge of the bed less firm. If you sit on the edge you almost slide off. Extremely odd.

We have had the mattress for a couple months now and continue to be very dissatisfied and disappointed that Beautyrest made a mattress of this quality. Yes they have more expensive models, but having paid $1300 you would think better results. Having a firm center line makes no sense to us. We bought a Simmons Comforpedic memory foam queen mattress for over $2500. The warranty on the label on their mattress indicated that it's for 25 years. However I started having bad back pains after 6 years of mattress use. Upon checking the mattress we found it has a sag of more than 0.75 inches which is one of the requirements for filing a warranty claim. We are using the solid platform box spring as per the warranty requirement. There are no deformations or sag on the box spring. One of the warranty requirements is that the wooden frame should have 5 slats with 3 slats having center support, along with top, bottom and side supports. Our frame matches all that except it has 4 slats with all 4 having a center support.

For this particular reason they will not be honoring the warranty, and say the warranty is void. The frame is a very solid frame and has top, bottom and side supports along with 4 slats and each having a center support. I don't think the sag in the mattress has anything to do with frame not being adequate and there is absolutely no sag in the platform box spring which is very solid. We purchased the mattress in early Oct 2018. Arrived Oct 30 2018. Within 10 days we felt like we were sleeping in holes. We contacted the seller and they stated give it 30 days. On Nov 30th we called again and stated we needed a new mattress. They stated, "Your 10 yr warranty is with Simmons Beautyrest. Please contact them" and gave us a number. We called and were given paperwork and a lot of hoops to jump through. The mattress had been on a solid foundation until 12-29-2018 when we moved it to a new bed. Simmons said they are voiding our ten year warranty because the bed only has 3 slats instead of 5. Bed broke down before it was put on brand new Ashley bed. There is also lots of sagging near this area. Tried putting in for the warranty. Sleep Train (Mattress Firm) said our warranty was not valid due to improper bed frame support. We purchased the high-priced Simmons Black Natasha King mattress a year ago from the largest furniture dealer in Oklahoma City and they have suddenly discontinued sales of Simmons brand without warning. When I called to inquire about a Warranty, they gave me the incorrect number for Simmons and washed their hands of the return. About a foot and a half of the top corner of the mattress looks like it has been permanently crushed towards the floor which makes sleeping extremely uncomfortable. Also, the mattress itself still has not broken in after a year of sleeping on it.

For the price paid, we are unsatisfied. We have had alright luck in the past with lower priced Simmons bedding but not this time. Since the store will no longer honor a Simmons Warranty, after speaking with Simmons customer service, I learned that Simmons will only offer a replacement and not a full refund or even a partial refund if you go down to a coil/pillow top and away from memory foam. This is frustrating seeing as how we do not want the same terrible mattress experience that we had before. If we go down in price, the price difference is just lost.

I bought a Beautyrest Silver Linder Cay queen mattress in October. The first night it was not exactly like sleeping on a cloud. The second night I was still undecided about it. The third night I felt the lumps, it was hard and lumpy. I bought it through Evine.com, and if you call to return it anywhere within 30 days you get a full refund. After 7 days I called to return it. I consider myself lucky that I hated the mattress so soon, rather than wait past 30 days and be stuck. The Simmons warranty is an obvious scam. They should tell you before you buy that if your frame doesn't have enough slats or that you don't have legs going down the middle of your bed (who has that?), those points would void the entire warranty.

It took a few weeks for the pick up to happen. My back was killing me each morning, so I came up with a good idea. I have an old, plush sleeping bag, which I folded in half the long way. I put that on top of the hideous Beautyrest mattress and slept on that. That took care of most of the pain until they could pick up the mattress. I have read several reviews here where people with bad backs are stuck sleeping on this garbage mattress. Please, get a thick mattress topper to take away the pain until you can get a different mattress.

Oh…and don't be victims. Print out the latest pages (or all) of these reviews and take them to an attorney. Ask if they will work pro bono (free) until they can get some sort of justice for all of you in a class action lawsuit. Please be aware that Serta is the same company as Simmons. I purchased a Beautyrest Silver Waterscape mattress from Macy’s. My daughter sleeps in this bed, and she is 60 lbs. The edge of the mattress has completely given out. It collapses when you sit on the edge, and you literally sink and roll off the edge. I didn’t find these reviews until after this happened, and I thought I should search bad reviews related to Beautyrest mattresses. Looks like a lot of people have had this same issue, unfortunately. Someone is coming to assess the mattress this coming week. We have a good box spring and a very nice bed with 5 support slats, so it’s obvious - especially with all of the other complaints about this same issue - that Simmons has a problem with the foam and defective construction of their mattresses.

I will be asking for a full refund. I have a Serra Perfect Sleeper that is still amazing after 27 years. This is exactly why I have kept this mattress. The new mattresses seem full of foam and cheaper material. Thank you for all of the reviews. I will show them to the rep who comes out to assess this mattress. I’m glad I purchased on sale and did not buy the extended warranty. Mattress covered under manufacturers warranty, so we’ll see whether Simmons will honor their warranty and do what’s right. Obviously bad construction. I will not accept a replacement.

We bought the top of the line mattress which was super comfortable in the store. The bed that was delivered moments ago, however, is not only extremely lumpy but appears to have two low sleeping spots, just like my old mattress with a high spot in between. It's as if they threw padding on used springs and dressed it up all pretty. The mattress was apparently stored on its side so the inner padding bunched up on one side. If I could add a picture you would be able to see the HUGE lump on the left side. It's inches higher than the rest of the mattress. You would NEVER believe that this is a BRAND NEW mattress. The low spots are more difficult to detect.

The manufacture date on the label is 9/12/18 so apparently it's brand new... But, if I wanted a lumpy mattress with pre-set low spots I would have kept my old mattress - which I have been trying to have returned to me since they pulled out of the driveway this morning. UPDATE: well it appears that my old mattress is just "gone". BEWARE of the quality and customer service. THESE PEOPLE DON'T CARE.

They sent someone out, they said it was defective, took it back, went back to Star and picked out the updated version of this mattress. The salesperson told me they knew this mattress was defective so they changed it to this version. After 3 months same problem. They sent someone out again and he told me it was because I did not have the proper frame and support. Bought new frame and supports, spent 189 and 100 to have it installed. The dip appeared again.

They sent an independent company to inspect the mattress this time. He took the bed completely apart and measured, took pictures, etc. Told me it was defective and had a ten year warranty. Star contacted me today and said it did not meet the defective guidelines. The dip only measured 1 1/2 inches and it had to be 1 3/4 inches in order to be defective and to wait about 3 months and call them back to reinspect the mattress. In the meantime my neck and shoulders are killing me. I do not look for anyone to do anything about this mattress. Eight years ago I bought the same setup and the bed is still in excellent condition. This new bed is a lumpy mess. There is a big lump where the mattress folds on the adjustable frame. I contacted the dealer in Feb. and was told to contact the mattress company, which I did. They told me to contact the dealer's Simmons' rep, which I did. I sent pictures. Was told this lump is normal. I have no lump on the older bed. Contacted the BBB and they contacted Simmons with the same result: NORMAL. A big lump is not normal. I will never buy Beautyrest again. My advice is to stay away. The picture does not do the lump justice.

We purchased a Simmons Beautyrest mattress for $2,354.00 for our seasonal home. After 3 months of sleeping on it there was a sinkhole on one side. I filed a claim with photos and paid a fee for the inspector to come and take care of. They changed the appointment and the inspector quit. I receive a letter stating that they have been unsuccessful in reaching me and they were closing my request for an inspection. It then took several months for a new inspector to come. He put a piece of cardboard on top of the sinkhole and measured (why the cardboard) of course it floats above the deepest part of the hole. I asked the inspector why on my side of the bed when I weigh 105 pounds and not the other that my husband sleeps and he weighs over 200 pounds, he tells me it's body heat not weight.

I then receive a letter stating that it was not covered under warranty that body impressions were considered normal. Fast forward, the mattress now has sinkholes on both sides. and also a bend at the top near the headboard that is almost 2 inches. I called again and still getting a runaround. What a waste of time! Simmons tells me that they only cover unauthorized dealers warranties and the authorized dealers have to cover their own. Don't buy Simmons or any mattress through Mattress Firm! My advice to everyone is to never purchase a Simmons Beautyrest mattress. They do all they can to not honor their “warranty”. It didn’t take long for the mattress to sag in many places and even has a tear with the actual mattress coming out of it. They would not honor the warranty because I didn’t purchase and use their box spring even though the one I use is adequate support. I was never told this in the store that this would void the warranty either. The mattress is sagging and lumpy everywhere along with having a tear and they still will not honor the warranty. This is the worst money I have ever spent on a mattress and my husband and I have been battling back pain ever since using a Beautyrest mattress. Horrible business practices.

In fact they stayed on hard side until they finally flattened while laying on them to point I could feel that harder layer where the coils start. I complained to the company to no avail. Beware of Beautyrest and their bragging about how comfortable their products are. For $750 I was expecting to get some pain relief. Not pancaking foam and coils. I purchased a Simmons Beautyrest king mattress and box springs one year ago tomorrow and the mattress has a HORRIBLE lag on one side and has bunched in the middle. I felt confident that if I submitted my claim as told, Mattress Firm would honor the warranty...especially seeing how I have had the mattress less than a year. I took pictures and submitted the claim as required, only to be told that my bed frame is inadequate. I am a bit confused because nothing was told to me at the time of purchase regarding the bed frame voiding the warranty. I spoke with the sales associate at length about the warranty because I wanted to make sure I was making the correct decision regarding my purchase. She told me that not purchasing box springs from Mattress Firm would void the warranty but NEVER did she say anything about the frame.

My bed was brand new at the time the mattress was purchased, so if I had been told I needed an additional frame or a different frame, I would have either made sure the frame I had was correct or not purchased the mattress. I have only been made aware of frame requirements AFTER I submit a warranty claim, which to me is a bad business practice and shows that Mattress Firm really does not honor warranties as they claim. Now, I am stuck with a $1000 mattress that if I roll over too far in the bed has a decline and sag. This is completely unacceptable...and did I mention that I've had the mattress less than a year??? I could understand a lag if the mattress was five or ten years old, but ONE YEAR?? That's CLEARLY a manufacturer defect!!!

We rotate the mattress several times per year and still have the sinking depressions. I began waking up exhausted with severe back and leg pains each morning. I brought a twin size coil mattress into our room and have been sleeping on it the past three months. No more back pains!

After enduring the Simmons Beautyrest "mattress" for four years I contacted the store we purchased it from, hoping for a remedy. What I received was run-a-run around. I was told by their customer service rep. that our mattress failed because it was "not properly supported." I stated repeatedly that the box spring/foundation was structurally sound and does not deflect nor sag. The issue is a poorly manufactured Simmons mattress. The store added insult to injury informing me that I would be required to pay a $60 Inspection Fee to a third party vendor to inspect the sagging mattress. What a scam! Our previous mattress lasted for over 14 years, and was actually better than this one when we traded it in. Purchasing a Simmons Mattress was a big mistake. After sleeping on it for a month our backs were killing us seeing how the middle of the mattress sinks in as if the springs were broke down on a adjustable bed or something. After several attempts to contact the manager of Paradise Furniture(who is never there) they finally sent out someone to inspect it. Our mattress also has a warranty and the inspector said that there was something wrong with it however after waiting another month they told us there was nothing wrong with the mattress and gave us a copy of an inspection that contradicted itself and said nothing about the support in the middle. The inspection form they gave us only had the non-weighted inspection part. They said there is nothing wrong with the mattress and therefore will do nothing.

We also contacted Simmons who said if the retailer will not do anything then they cannot do anything either. I do not recommend Paradise Furniture or Simmons Mattresses for this reason. Look at the pictures and tell me that this mattress is normal. Simmons also told me that their mattress should not sink in more than an inch and a half. After a few years we had submitted a claim warranty on our Simmons Beautyrest Lexi Extra Firm mattress to Jordan's Furniture in Reading, Massachusetts. At the time of sale we purchased recommended vendor adders with a total sale of $1,900 to ensure the 10 year warranty would be valid. After a relatively short time our mattress sagged to a depth of 1.75 inches near the edge and 1.25 inches about 10 inches from the edge. After submitting the required photos (partial attachment) to Jordan's with a follow up inspection by an individual from Mattress Marshals, our warranty claim was rejected due to less than required sag measurement and a stain that had nothing to do with the initial claim.

This is extremely frustrating as a consumer since Simmons as a mattress manufacturer falls under the guidance of OSHA which had deemed any size stain, no matter how insignificant (attached), voids the warranty. Jordan's Furniture confirmed their adherence to Simmons' warranty. This behavior appears very similar to the insurance industry which delays, defers, and finally denies consumer claims.

Another fallacy of warranty denial is having a Authorized Inspection by Mattress Marshalls. The inspector in my case used a piece of yarn with washers tied at both ends to measure the drop. I've taken measurement drops on jet engine hardware and the Mattress Marshalls method assures depth of failure measurement each time. Spending 5 minutes on an inspection is ludicrous. Jordan's Furniture uses these methods to ensure the warranty will not be valid. Consumers should be aware of these practices and skeptical of manufacturer and retailer warranties. The furniture described is made by a furniture company called SIMMONS. SERTA IS A prominent and the well known mattress company. SERTA now owns Simmons Furniture. The Southwest Surplus company is a furniture store that preys on the weak and ill-informed customers using lies in order to make sales. Buyer Beware!

"Bonded-Leather" I read aloud as I flipped over the tag attached to a $999 long black L-shaped sectional made by Simmons. "Hmm I've heard of Simmons but I haven't heard of bonded leather. What does bonded leather mean exactly?" I asked the saleswoman, who looked at her sales manager as she said, "Well... bonded leather is just leather from when they have leftovers pieces from production of leather furniture. She went on to further clarify by stating BONDED LEATHER IS JUST THE leather LEFTOVERS from the production of leather furniture... pressed together like bonded together with glue. "Oh I see, that makes sense as to why they call it bonded." I foolishly nodded my head in agreement not knowing that I was the butt of the joke. I am the poor bloke who believed the people in charge knew what they were selling.

They should have called it like it is... the phrase vinyl faux leather would have been more appropriate. This Bonded Leather was steeply priced close to a GRAND. I WOULD NEVER spend my hard earned money on something that has a lifespan of 6 months before it starts flaking away little by little. You get these black flakes all over your body and start finding black particles coming out your nose each time you blow your nose. I was so stupid. I believed every lie that these 2 Southwest Surplus employees were telling me... real leather pieces attached to a backing with glue. To make matters worse the phrase bonded leather appears on a swatch of real solid leather swatch. I read the tag again. Bonded Leather. Well it's gotta be real for the price to be near $1K I think to myself.

I have to give the Award for the "worst lie made to a customer in order to make a sale" to Southwest Surplus, a furniture store that has been featured on TV yet can't find the decency to not use fraudulent sales tactics. This company ought to be sued for selling a product under false advertising. I have attached other couches by Simmons that are of the same Bonded Leather quality and customers are complaining. They are sick of being lied to. This bonded leather needs to stop.

Manufacturers of such types of furniture need to have lawsuits brought down on to them. They need to stop selling this heinous material and trying to pass it off as real leather. Currently I am nearing my 5 year warranty but I assure you this material started flaking off right at 6 months. Simmons claimed that this is normal. They won't recognize that this is abnormal and they aren't admitting any guilt.

"Sorry, you do not meet the standard set at the sole discretion of Simmons for replacement or adjustment." They suggested I change the slats under the mattress to a full board. Crazy? I did swap the high end bowed slats for the flat variety... Same result. Now we are in November 2016. My next move was to "spin" the mattress so the area under my wife's feet would now hold the weight of my hips and back. Well, that worked great for about 4 months until the mattress began to break down once again.

I lived with the pain for a while, then spent at least a dozen sessions with a chiropractor and 6 more in physical therapy. Diagnosis: TFL issue. I stretched the darned thing every day but each night the area tightened up; by morning I was in pain again. After I "tiraded" on Simmons, they suggested another dip check; sure, I said, but you all know the result will be the same as the first check. It is geared to protect the company. Of course, the same nice fellow appeared with his equipment and the story was the same. Now we are about a year into the mess. Again, we traveled, again we slept in hotels, private homes, even grandkids' little beds. All pain-free. Back home - Pain again. I tried a Kelty self-inflating camp mat, a LUCID egg crate/memory foam pillow topper, a pillow under my hips... To no avail. I slept in my old bed in the guest room for a week... Pain-free after 5 days.

The final straw occurred last month in New York City. I fell and had to spend 5 night in Beth Israel Hospital - Not pleasant but, ha, no hip pain... In a hospital bed, no less. I slept another 5 nights on a couch in a private apartment... Pain-free. Upon returning home, I tried a couple of nights on the Simmons - Pain again. I have relegated myself to the guest room and the old mattress. I am finally feeling some relief but it's taking a lot more healing time this go 'around.

I paid almost $1500 for this highly rated mattress and it's a piece of junk. Simmons knows it, Mr. Dip-Checker knows it. They just do not care. I discovered Simmons actually has a factory in my state so I am able to file a Small Claims action against them; however, even if I win, collection is not guaranteed. I propose that anyone who is interested consider a class action suit against this horrible company. I will be contacting an attorney in Seattle Washington to discuss, citing the many complaints listed in this forum.

Simmons Beautyrest Recharge Pearl - Fancy name... worst mattress ever. Purchased this mattress less than a year ago for roughly $1,100. My boyfriend has been sleeping on the couch for 3 months now. It sags so bad in the middle. Purchased from American Furniture Warehouse. Tried to file a claim. Technician came out, looked at the mattress, clearly said, "Yes I can see sagging in the middle and the pillow top stitching has come undone". They denied our claim or refused to do anything due to the stains on our mattress, "stains void the 10 year warranty." See the picture below! I was told that liquids or stains on a mattress can break down the components. I'm not a bed technician, but how can a spot of coffee break down fabric, foam and springs??? I will never purchase anything from American Furniture Warehouse or Simmons again. We were better off in our $300 old queen bed.

We purchased a Beautyrest Providence mattress on February 22, 1017. We paid almost $1800 for it so it is not a cheap mattress. After the 1st month we noticed the center of the mattress was sagging. I don't mean the center between my husband and myself. I mean the center of the entire mattress from head to toe. We took apart our bed and made sure the platform was level as well as the box springs. Everything checked out fine. Where my husband and I sleep, has caved in and there is a hump in the middle and sides. Center of bed is still sagging. Hurt all night and sore the next day. Only have had mattress 2 months.

We went to Mattress Firm last night to try and get this issue addressed. We were made to feel like we were idiots by the manager. And got the same info I see other complaints have received. It would cost us about $26.00 to get Simmons to come out and do their inspection. I think we all know how that will go. Thankfully we are still in the grace period so we will find another mattress from a different company and different store, (not another Beautyrest), and return this piece of crap. Of course we will lose $149.00 to do that. Can you imagine what this mattress will be like in a year???

After a little less than two years and after having spent $1750 for the mattress my wife and I both can see and feel the sag. My wife weighs 105 pounds and I am 170... neither exactly heavyweights. I checked the mattress warranty and found their "sag scale". For my mattress it is 1.5 inches or more for 10 years. I'm guessing that the mattress only sags about an inch with no one on it. Add a body and the sag is downright uncomfortable. After reading all the comments the warranty apparently only covers a mattress that breaks in half. Simmons could warrant this mattress for 100 years because it is obvious that most people will have to replace it... with another brand... after only a few years. Live and learn. We should have researched Simmons before we purchased the mattress.

I purchased Beautyrest Silver St John Luxury Firm Pillowtop mattress at Sit' n Sleep store in Los Angeles, it was delivered on March 6, 2017. From day 1 it sagged more than the old mattress I had for 12 years. Turned out these mattresses are now made at local facilities, the same generic mattress for all brands and models, the only difference is the amount of foam they add and the fabric, what a scam! Simmons description states that this mattress has an extra layer of micro coils across the middle section for extra support, this is why I've chosen it. And sample mattresses at stores do have them, but NOT the mattresses they deliver to consumers. The one I got is NOTHING like the store samples. According to an independent Expert's inspection of my mattress, there were NO extra coils of any kind, it severely sagged in the middle area, and the fabric on top was all wrinkled like it was 100 years old.

After sleeping on this new mattress for only 3 nights I could not walk straight anymore, I was in severe pain. I pleaded with Sit 'n Sleep to exchange this TORTURE INSTRUMENT for another mattress, but Simmons Exchange Policy (NO REFUNDS) requires the Buyer to sleep on the new mattress for AT LEAST 30 days before it could be CONSIDERED for an exchange which would take 60 days and would include 20% restocking fee. I tried to comply and now am suffering from constant acute back pain. And I am NOT the only one.

I highly recommend reading other reviews on "Consumer Affairs" regarding Simmons, Beautyrest, Sealy, etc. They all belong to the same Corporation. I was shocked to find out how many lives were damaged by this ruthless Company. WHY are THESE MONSTERS allowed to TORTURE PEOPLE? They require me to continue sleeping on the mattress that is causing me pain and suffering for 30 days in order to qualify for an exchange. Are there NO LAWS to protect consumers from being TORTURED by this MONSTROUS CORPORATION? Shocking!

I purchased a $1400 Simmons pillow top mattress 4 years ago because it was extra-firm. Within a year body sagging started to occur where my husband and I sleep. I went online to get their warranty protocol and I followed it precisely. I went Into the Mattress Firm store where I purchased it and showed the manager the photos. She said that the mattress was definitely defective and gave me some paperwork to file with Mattress Firm Warranty Department. Long story short, I was told that the method I used to measure the sagging was not acceptable but for $39.99 they would sent out an inspector. If I wanted to continue use with the process I had no choice. A month later a man came out with the most bogus measuring device that could possibly be used. It sits on the mattress and spans the sagging hole. It is also about 1/4 thick so the measurement is a thing of fiction. This device is a way to get out of their warranty.

When we stood the mattress up so he could inspect the box springs all the guts of the mattress sagged down to the bottom, I have photos of it, UNBELIEVABLE. I waited for 3 weeks for an answer and when no one contacted me I called them. They told me there wasn't a deep enough sag to meet their warranty criteria. Are you kidding me. When I measured with my tape measure it did meet their standards but their measuring device shows it's not bad enough. Wow, I'm going to wage war on social media until I get satisfaction. This is so beyond ridiculous. My husband has to wear a CPAP mask for his sleep apnea and now he can only wear it for a few hours instead of all night because his back hurts so bad sleeping in that hole that he has to turn on his side to get relief and the mask doesn't stay on when you sleep on your side. Less than a year later, we ended up turning it around because already it was compressed to the shape of our bodies. That lasted about a year more before the most comfortable areas of the mattress were in the middle and on the edge.

Simmons warranty department rejected our request to replace it because: "As with other beds of this type, the thicker and more luxurious the filling materials, the more susceptible they are to compaction. Please note that this should not be considered a defect. The mattress is contouring to the shape of your body." It is exactly what we were told would not happen. WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT BUY A SIMMONS MATTRESS!!! I'm assuming this goes for anybody that sell Simmons but I purchased mine from Sleepy's. We purchased our mattress on 11/4/14 for a total of $900. Now just over two years later the entire side of the mattress is caving in. It has been getting progressively worse over the past couple months and now it is to the points where it's about to fall apart. We didn't abuse the mattress, we didn't jump on it or set it on an improper frame, nor are we heavy people, it just fell apart due to normal everyday use. Just two year later the entire side of the mattress is collapsing. You would think, no big deal I'm sure my warranty will cover that. WRONG!!! Since we slept on the mattress for two years and didn't pay extra to buy a mattress protector our warranty is voided.

I'm sorry but a warranty is meant to protect consumers from manufacturer's defect of a product when used under normal operating conditions. There is not and nor should there be ANY expectation to have to pay extra money to keep your warranty valid when it is used under normal conditions. That on top of nobody ever telling me I even needed a mattress protector has me absolutely infuriated. This is just a cop-out and a loophole that Simmons has built into their warranty to make it so they can claim any warranty length they want and not have to follow through on claims.

Stay away from SIMMONS!!! I have come to learn that they make poorly manufactured product that fall apart after only two years and refuse to follow through on their warranty promises due to purely asinine and absolutely unrelated issues that happen to absolutely every mattress ever made unless you pay extra money for it not to happen. I will NEVER purchase another SIMMONS and I will NEVER purchase another product from Sleepy's for not telling me about Simmon's asinine warranty policies.

Sleep has been anything but a "Beauty-rest"!!! We purchased our Simmons Beautyrest (Black) "Natasha" Pillow Top mattress approximately 9 months ago. We initially went with a memory foam product but found it was too soft and I needed a firmer support so the salesperson at The Bed Store (Knoxville TN) suggested this Simmons product in exchange. We did try three different types of Simmons "Black" on their floor and decided based on the floor model this would be the best option for our needs. The new bed was delivered and the experience goes downhill from there.

The bed initially was firmer and seemed like the right fit for us. However, as I have been told, and read, memory foam takes about 30 days to "break in". Now mind you, when we purchased this bed we were told it was a hybrid - springs with a memory foam topper - and assured the support and firmness we needed would come from the springs... Much like the pillow top mattress we had prior to purchasing this one. Within 30 days the memory foam did in fact "break in" and has continued to break down since. We both currently are sleeping in holes where the foam has broken down while there is a hump in the middle between us. Not at all what I expected from a $3000.00 bed!!! So completely disappointed!!!

I have read the other reviews of other Simmons mattresses with the exact same issues... And I did learn through bed shopping that every retailer has their own "Name" for the Simmons product (ie: mine is "Natasha", but the same bed could have another name depending on where it is purchased)... All the reviews speak of sagging holes where the person sleeps and a hump in the middle of the bed between the two sleepers. Seems to me this is an manufacturing issues that Simmons needs to be held accountable for!

I intentionally spent the extra money when purchasing a bed because of having to live with the pain fibromyalgia... I have also recently been diagnosed with arthritis in my back as a result of a car accident I was in my 20's (I'm currently 40ish). That being said, sleep is very important to me and so is finding just the right amount of support for my needs. However, now I have ongoing every week to two week appointments with my Chiropractor for adjustments to realign my spine and hips after sleeping in the bed... At $80.00 a visit! So not only did I purchase an expensive bed that is causing me undue pain and discomfort, I also have to pay to be physically well after sleeping in it!

Side note: all pain and discomfort go away when I'm traveling and sleeping in hotel beds (Hampton Inn, etc.) or at my extended family's houses. Currently I have a call in to The Bed Store for the people to come inspect the bed for warranty related issues. However, based on what I read I'm sure I will also be denied a replacement or refund. We shall see...

I'm in the market once again after having a BeautyRest Recharge mattress for only two years. However, unbeknownst to me the mattress has been causing me lower back issues after owning it for less than one year. At first the mattress seemed comfortable and I slept soundly. As the months wore on after purchase, I started having gradual lower back pain. I should mention that I had a successful laminectomy done three years ago and, it was a primary reason why I wanted to purchase a new mattress. Sticking with the mattress, it started to gradually sink right smack in the middle as the lower back pain (around the waist) increased.

At first, I didn't associate the back pain issues that began, with the mattress; after all it was new and not inexpensive and was comfortable at first. So, I sought medical advice from my surgeon, regular physician and on and on. Everything medical was fine. I enrolled into physical therapy with no relief. I joined a gym with very little relief. Meanwhile, the mattress sank lower. My suspicions were confirmed. A couple of things, one an investment in a mattress should last longer than 2 years. In fact somewhere I read, a mattress should be replaced at least every 8 years. Gosh if I got at least 5-6 years out of this Recharge mattress I would be satisfied. But, I didn't; not even close! I'm usually a darn good record keeper but for the life of me I cannot find this invoice/warranty. But based on what I am reading here, it doesn't seem like it would do me any good anyway.

However, I wanted to tell my story so others can judge for themselves if they're in the market for a mattress like I am once again. I'm a disabled senior and on a fixed budget but life is too short to deal with another company and possibly get a run a round plus, I do need to get another quickly. If the company who manufactures these mattresses reads these reviews and would like to contact me, I'd be more than happy to get into more detail, take pictures etc. But as a consumer, I'm going to close and say this. Companies, this one and all others selling a product, need to provide FULL disclosure about their products they sell. What do I mean? Make sure the retailer's employees who sell your products are properly trained and KNOW all about your products. Otherwise, look for another authorized retailer who will properly train their employees on your products. This shouldn't be difficult or expensive with technology as it is today.

If your products have limitations, list them just like you tout your product's advantages or competing products. In the case of a mattress, make sure your online/hard copy materials lets prospective buyers know if there are weight limits; make warranties crystal clear and easy to understand for example, anything and EVERYTHING a consumer needs to know to make an informed decision. Word of mouth advertising can destroy you or "make" you and if you do things like I suggested, the number of negative reviews like the ones on this website will inevitably decrease.

I bought the Beautyrest Black Alexia extra firm on 10/2014 and it has been downhill ever since then. It was great for a few months. I was coming off an older mattress with heavy sagging and my back pain had gotten to alarming levels. With a new mattress my back pain was totally gone. I would wake up and feel great. Pain free. Unfortunately that lasted all of about 3 months. At that point I started to notice some sagging where my wife and I sleep. We decided to rotate the mattress and that helped out a bit, but another 3 months later and we had sagging on that side of the mattress as well. We rotated the mattress again and I was just back in my old groove. The springs didn't recover their support when they were on the footside of the bed.

About a month ago my back pain was getting worse and worse as the bed support deteriorated so we decided to rotate the mattress. Nope, that trick didn't work at all as the mattress has significant sagging on both sides. My back pain is back and worse than ever. My wife travels for work a few times a year and when she does I sleep in the middle of the bed (it's an Eastern King) on what I call the "mountain". There is still spring support there so when I can do that I sleep well and I can tell it helps my back. Long story short, this firm mattress was great for my back for the first three months until it started to degrade and lose its support. I've owned this for just over two years now and I'm considering another mattress. That is how bad it is.

I was told they charged me $50.00 for a 6 months same as cash deal.

To make a long story short, I contacted the bank and spoke with them. They said the salesman had no right to charge me $50.00 for the interest free loan, that they make their own promotions, and they had made one for me 24 months same as cash. the store said 6 months for 50.00 They put a hold on my payments, until they could speak with the furniture company. It is now Nov. 25, 2016. This problem is still being checked into, the store refuses to cancel the invoice, and the store refuses to pick up the defective box springs and mattress. I refuse to pay for it so I would suggest you NEVER purchase from Knoxville Wholesale Furniture and Simmons bedding.

Vivian, my name is Jeanette. We had similar trouble with our Simmons Mattress. (We paid 1,500) for a plush pillow top. Our problems were not as severe. Our mattress did not seem like a $1,500 mattress. What you need to do is start fresh with Simmons. Play up the fact that the mattress is breaking down. I suggest not mentioning the physical pain... Focus on the malfunctioning of the bed. You probably have a manufacturer's warranty. Call a different phone number. Keep trying until you REACH SOMEONE who seems smart, capable, and caring. FOCUS on the bed malfunction.

Simmons sent someone out to measure the bed's discrepancies, sagging, and unevenness. Simmons gave us a new bed (a more expensive one). In all honesty we are returning the second bed, too. But at least it was improvement. WE have not yet tried to get our money back (we are considering that now). They will bring you a new bed if your mattress has a manufacturer's warranty. We had the order number and all of our info ready. Good luck! God bless you!

The label on this mattress states "World Class", however it is anything BUT. We purchased our mattress at Sears in 2013 for $1300+. Soon after, my husband and I started to experience back, hip, and overall body pain upon waking after a night's sleep. After approximately 6 months, we noticed the mattress start to sag on the respective areas we both normally slept. The middle of the mattress, between the areas we slept in, started to rise and became a "hump", eventually turning into a mountain.

In Nov. of 2014, I was frustrated enough to start the warranty process. After submitting all of the criteria... pictures, measurements, documenting and speaking with a customer service rep, we waited. After 3 months of no response, I contacted the warranty department again only to be told that they have not received our information, nor did they have anything on file for our request... even after I gave them the related customer/account number provided to me by the representative I spoke to in the beginning. Frustrated, I began the process again, only to have the same results.

It is now Nov of 2016, with no results from our warranty process and we are beyond frustrated with our mattress. We are now in the market for a new mattress and thankful for Consumer Affairs for providing this forum to validate that my husband and I are not the only very unhappy owners of the Simmons Beautyrest Recharge Mattress. I see that someone has posted information regarding a class action lawsuit. If there is any information I could provide to support this, I would be more than happy to oblige.

We purchased a Simmons Beautyrest Recharge Mattress less than a year ago, which began a journey of the unknown. Within days of sleeping on this mattress I began experiencing discomfort in the body and a loss of sleep. I was struggling with the situation as we just purchased a NEW SIMMONS BEAUTYREST Mattress, which was advertised as a very comfortable mattress that would Recharge the body. It would give you the best sleep ever. We just didn't know the RECHARGE would be in a negative way. As time passed the discomfort developed into severe pain throughout the body with back, neck, shoulders, stomach, internal organs, leg and toe pain. Stiffness in lower back. OMG wouldn't wish this on anyone. Also noticed areas of the bed began to collapse where large indentations developed. It appeared the mattress was defective.

We contacted the Merchant in an attempt to find a resolution to these issues and request a replacement or refund. Also inquired on if other customers complained. We were told they could not assist us with the discomfort issues we were experiencing, further stating discomfort was not a valid reason for return. They informed us no other complaint had been received on the mattress. We reached out to the warranty company however, no contact has been received back.

After contact with the Merchant leading us to believe the issues were not tied to the mattress and discomfort was pretty much a personal issue, we decided to try other measures to resolve the issues like rotating the mattress and seeking medical attention. After multiple visits to doctors, therapists going through unnecessary imaging, pain relief and research. The underlying issues are the result of the faulty SIMMONS BEAUTYREST RECHARGE MATTRESS sold to us. It is a shame consumers are experiencing such issues and the Merchants continue to advertise products they know are defective while the manufacturer continues to produce and make profits.

As I am unable to bear the pain the mattress causes, I am forced to find alternative areas to sleep. Will also have to invest into another mattress unless we eventually get contacted back by the manufacturer warranty dept. And either a replacement of a nonfaulty mattress or refund. The purpose of this review is to share my story in hopes of helping others from experiencing such a horrible thing. If you are in the market for a comfortable mattress. It is advisable not to purchase a Simmons Beautyrest.

Purchase mattress "Top of the Line with a 15 year warranty" purchased in 2010. Was told that the mattress would hold up over the years due to the "Special triple coiling in thru out the mattress". To make sure it would be under warranty was told we would have to purchase a special mattress cover for it. Extra $200. Keep that stupid "special Cover" on the first three years when we discovered that all the sides were breaking down. When we decided we had enough of it and went back to the mattress shop and they stated "Hey you bought the top of the line mattress" and that was the first year the mattress was out and had heard that the first series had that flaw of the sides breaking down. But it has been fixed. Why don't we call about the warranty. It should be covered because they even remembered that we purchased the special cover for it.

So we did and when your employee came out with a camera and took pictures and stated that the warranty was voided because there was a stain on the mattress. I was shocked to say the least. I asked to be shown the stain on the mattress. She could barely see it but when she showed me the picture that was magnified to make it look huge. I then asked what about the cover we have had to endure since the purchase of the mattress in order to maintain the warranty. She stated that we would have to go thru them to have them fight for our warranty.

Needless to say it was a big disappointment. But also a valuable lesson. We have since purchase a quality mattress, paid extra to have it special design and warranty. Which I did my home work on this company to know they stand behind their word. Not like Simmons. And We share this story with every person we can and advise them to STAY AWAY FROM SIMMONS Products. This has been the most helpful to new home owners and students getting ready to move out onto their own. I plan on sharing this story with each of the hotel suppliers next.

They allowed us to pick a different mattress last time. We picked a Simmons Wellington mattress. Felt good for a few months, did not sweat anymore. However, have nice size indentations in the mattress and we rotate monthly. Bottom line Simmons mattresses are bad business. I have more back pain than ever. We sleep in our Coleman air mattress and sleep great and wake in no pain. Considering to get a king air mattress for $200 and remove the $2000 mattress. Purchased Simmons Beautyrest mattress in 2014. Mattress came with manufacturer's 10-yr warranty. Within first year started having back and hip pain. It got worse as time went on. Husband noticed visible lumps in pillowtop so he contacted store we purchased it from. Salesman researched and saw this was a common problem reported in our mattress brand, but also informed us they no longer sold Simmons mattresses because they had so many problems and complaints about them. We contacted Simmons Warranty department to make claim. We were required to submit proof of purchase, which we did. Rep from Bedcheck came and took pictures. For the second time we were asked to provide original receipt, which we did. Several more days passed and then we finally heard from Simmons, who told us our claim had been approved.

Here's where the whole thing falls apart. Instead of just supplying us with a comparable replacement mattress they tell us that we have to go searching at stores for a Simmons mattress that falls in the price range at or below the price we originally paid. The mattress must also be a current year model. After we found one that met those requirements we were to write all the information from the mattress tag on their form and send it back to Simmons for review. If approved they would have one shipped from their factory. If we went over the price specified we would be responsible for additional charge and taxes, and then we would also have to pay for shipping!

After checking every store in our area we realize there is not one current year Simmons mattress at our under the price cap given. Simmons offers no resolution other than us paying the additional. Why should we be responsible for paying cost and shipping fees for a warranty claim on a defective product? The Warranty rules basically make it impossible for the consumer to get a replacement mattress without additional cost, so it is basically a scam. Simmons makes defective products covered by bogus warranties.

I had severe back aches and was so sore I could not even bend when showering. The weight of my body in the hole at night brought extreme shoulder and neck pain too. It made sleeping on side very painful through the night and most morning my stomach and internal organs felt sore.

I called store to ask for replacement from the day after delivery as I thought this was defective mattress and several emails to report problems with mattress with no resolution as they made excuse after excuse and promises to resolve and nothing. We were guaranteed we would receive the best sleep ever with this mattress which we feel was expensive for us but approaching 59 years old we wanted and were looking for a more peaceful restful sleep. We called complaint and for 6 months and were only given the round around of promises to send tech to look at mattress which never happened till enough emails and complaints to take to small court claims - finally returned a successful call from store to replace the mattress.

Mattress was replaced with same type mattress and the sag on this new mattress is returning and my back continues to be sore in the mornings. I cannot believe consumers are being sold a defective items as this mattresses and they are causing medical problems with no one looking into this complaints. There are way too many complaints for this to continue to remain in touched and in investigated as possible fraud of being sold a lemon mattress. I am not sure what my step is to try to resolve this issue with the mattress but we know if we continue to sleep on it we will suffer back, neck and organ problems. We paid 1399 which is very expensive for us as we just had a house fire and we were purchasing this mattress to replace our mattress which was damaged in fire. If anyone has any ideas please send me a reply at ** as we would like to resolve this asap and replace this mattress with a functioning one.

Simmons made a mess of my warranty claim! Unbelievable! I purchased an overpriced Beautyrest king mattress about two years ago and my wife and I have been noticing the sinkholes on both sides now for about a year. We first contacted the manufacturer and opened an online claim which resulted in nothing - they said we had to go through the dealer we purchased it from. (What's the point of making that available online anyways??)

Then we contacted the dealer which asked for an email with pics - we did that. No answer for a few weeks then some third party company calls us and schedules an inspection, so we thought it was finally the dealer taking action on our case, which was not true as we found out later that Simmons sent the inspection guy by mistake! Well, inspection is done and the results sent to Simmons. At this point, however, I thought I had to talk to the vendor about it, so I call the vendor and they don't even know about my case! I call the inspection company and they say Simmons is responsible for my warranty so I call Simmons again and they say the vendor is. I call the vendor and they don't give a damn about my case and never call me back.

So after all this I finally decide to email Simmons again, and a few days later they say that they won't honor the warranty on my mattress because my mattress has no labels... WTF??? The only labels I removed (which I STILL HAVE) are the ones that are hanging off your mattress and look like a t-shirt white tag. I'm extremely frustrated with Simmons, not only about the bad quality of their mattress but also their poor customer care! And I am the one with back pain from sleeping on that piece of garbage that now has to spend money suing Simmons! Horrible experience! Will never buy Simmons again!

My boyfriend and I bought this queen size mattress with an adjustable frame less than 3 years ago from Cozy Cabin Furniture in Plymouth, NH. We spent over 5 thousand dollars in that store in one visit. The bed was the bulk of the money. Both of us have bad backs, necks, and other medical problems. I am 4ft 10 inches 125 lbs and he is 6 ft and weighs around 250. The dealer never suggested that we get a bed that would help each of considering our difference in size. We bought the bed trusting the dealer and his experience with mattresses.

Approximately a year and a half later my boyfriend was experiencing his side of the bed had gone pretty flat so we flip the bed so the foot of it was now the head of it. That put me on the flattened side. Then approximately 8 months after that we were both feeling the flattened mattress. The only part of this mattress that is good now is the middle and because it's a queen and the size of us the middle is not a large space.

Since we got this bed, I have had to have surgery on my C-Spine and have experienced back pain that I didn't have before the bed and I now have to have surgery on another section of my neck. I literally feel like I am going to roll off the bed. My boyfriend has had a multi-level fusion and his pain has tripled since getting this bed. We called the store where we bought the bed and they sent someone to take pictures and measure the bed. The bed was down on both sides by double the required amount that the warranty covers. Mind you this bed is not even 3 years old yet. After the man left the company called and asked us to take pictures of the tags on the bed. Why didn't they do that when they were here? He took pictures of the bed. When we looked for the two tags we could only find one.

We searched the bed for the other and could not even find signs of a second tag ever existing. So now if this tag is not found we may not be able to get a new mattress. It's not like they are going to re-use the bed, the covers and any other part of this bed. We paid 3,000.00 for this entire bed and they are going to not honor the warranty because of a stupid tag? The tag didn't do anything wrong. The tag didn't cost us all that money. The tag isn't causing the pain in our bodies. The tag does not and did not ever exist on this bed! Oh and the bed we bought was a floor model. They literally took that bed out of the store after God knows how many people sat on it, laid on it, and put it in storage for us so that when we moved into our new home it could be delivered. They told us we were getting a brand new mattress but when I went back to the store to pay the rest of the money we owed just 2 days later, the bed we picked out was gone.

In its place was another bed that was totally different from the one we bought. How are we supposed to know we got a brand new mattress? Most stores don't give you the floor model. They give you a bed from the warehouse to guarantee it would be a new bed, not a bed that other people touched. I didn't complain at the time because there was a plastic cover on the mattress when we got it. The question is, who put the plastic cover on that bed? Because of the length of time it took for this bed to go bad leads me to believe that either we got a very used mattress or we got a mattress that was not the mattress we paid for.

Also, why did we even get the frame that was in the store? These frames are hand made because they are made from logs. The bed was in storage for over a month. They can't say that in that time they could not have ordered a brand new frame instead of giving us the one from the store that a million people and their germ filled children touched. I made sure the frame was clean before we used it by wiping it down with anti-bacterial wipes. I just feel this company misled us and are now making us jump through hoops to get a new mattress.

Oh ya, we also found out that this mattress has been discontinued. I wonder why. I have searched the internet to find any reviews on this bed and it's like it never existed. If we do not get a new mattress we will be going to court. We are both disabled. The only reason we had money to get that bed was because we had just gotten my boyfriend's disability check that we waited 5 years to get. It was a one shot deal for us. This company saw the word sucker on our foreheads. Beautyrest and Cozy Cabin Furniture are companies to totally avoid.

The mattress was supported on Beautyrest's own double twin foundation on a solid platform so no reason for the sags. It was well cared for, always had a mattress cover. Between the crooks at Sleepy's and the terrible products Simmons puts out - I don't know who is worse! I purchased a Simmons Beautyrest Black Series less than 5 years ago and it wore horribly. I'm 37 years old, in good physical shape & 5'7" so I'm not putting the weight of an NFL linebacker on the bed. I wake up in the worst pain every morning. Paid a hair under $2,100 for the mattress alone (w/ tax & delivery) and there is just over a 1" sinkhole on both sides of the bed. Sleepy's warranty people sent an inspection kit out, did it as directed where you email them pics of the string & ruler test. Was told the sinkhole needed to be over 1.5" deep to be replaced. ON A PILLOW TOP??! It will always puff back up but the second you lay on it, what's underneath that thin thin layer that is completely destroyed. I have no choice but to buy a new bed outright as this is unbearable.

They also said the mattress was too stained but there are NO STAINS! Never had a spill (and no we don't wet the bed...). We sleep on colored sheets and there are 2 body length slight slight discolorations where we sleep from dye from the sheets. My warranty claim was fully denied, customer service treated me HORRIBLY. When I called Sleepy's they said Simmons made the decision and to take it up with them. When I called Simmons they said they leave the decisions up to Sleepy's and do not get involved. Furious with Sleepy's, furious with Simmons!!! Before this bed we bought the Dr. Breus bed. Sleepy's was peddling and that was HORRIBLE as well only they had a better warranty and took that bed back since it completely wore out. Notice Sleepy's hasn't carried the Dr. Breus bed in years - perhaps too many complaints.

Yet when you look online you find nothing negative about that bed - someone must scrub the web of any honest reviews. Moral of the story, after 2 total fails on EXPENSIVE mattresses from Sleepy's and them not wanting to stand behind what they sell, I will never ever give them business again! In case you're wondering what I ordered for the new bed, I did my homework this time as I should have done last time. I subscribed to Consumer Reports, I believe $36 for a full year - a name you can always trust. The top rated memory foam mattress they scored was the Novaform Serafina Pearl 14" mattress from Costco. Coincidentally it went on sale for the month of August and I paid only $649 delivered! Praying it is as good as they say but between Costco's reputation for quality, their easy return policy, and being backed by Consumer Reports I have high hopes. New bed arrives tomorrow.

The bed I ordered was #1 on CR's list, the $8,000 Duxiana was 6th or 7th, Tempurpedic's cloud supreme for over $2k was almost at the bottom of the list. For $8k, a bed better come with a masseuse that hides in your closet all day and massages you to sleep every night for 5 years. Done ranting, hope my honest review encourages you to do your homework.

I have contacted Simmons and they keep referring to that warranty and did nothing. When standing on its side, it billows out and sinks in. They freaked out when I told them if I removed the tags, which is perfectly legal, as I am the consumer, and also asked if it was clean. What were they planning to do with it? I am a Senior and it took me one year to pay for it out of Social Security, and now I am sleeping on an air mattress, as I cannot afford another mattress.

A mattress with a 25 yr warranty should last more than weeks or months, and also, it cannot sag because it is a pillow top, and foam does not sag unless there is weight on it, which was not allowed when measuring. Mattress Marshals come up with a string and a washer on each end and put a cardboard measure to see how much it dips. I am normal weight and sleep alone, so there was no abuse or wear and tear. A new Mattress should not sag at all. This is the biggest scam of all and I hope a Lawyer would be kind enough to start a class action suit because others will be taken in. And also, the last visit to Sleepy's, the sales girl said: "Make sure your next mattress is not a Beautyrest," talk about adding insult to injury. All took the money and commissions and ran.

Thanks goodness a friend of mine gave me a truck mattress for camping. Buyer beware! Beautyrest is not the same company they were 16 years ago and Macy's is a terrible store to buy a mattress from!!! Look at the cut open mattress diagram on their website. It's basically a thin foam mattress with coils. I wish we would have kept our old mattress and bought a gel memory foam topper.

When you purchase a king memory foam mattress for $2,499 with a 25 year warranty, you expect a quality product from a reputable company. The mattress failed within 3 years. All necessary paperwork, photos, measurements were submitted to the Warranty Dept. Claim was denied. After two months, they sent an independent representative to our house to take photos, measurements, complete a form. (He drove 3 hours to get to our house and it was his first day on the job --- lacked much experience.) After two more months, they denied the claim. After many mornings waking up to low back issues, we bought a Tempur-Pedic. My recommendation is as follows: Do not buy a mattress from the Simmons Company. Do not buy a mattress simply because the tag says it has a 25 year warranty. The warranty is only as good as the company who produces the product!! Buyer Beware!

I bought 3 mattresses in late 2013 from American Freight Company. When I was at store I was told by the sales associate that one of the mattresses I was looking at was their best mattress and it comes with 25 or 30 years warranty and if I found anything wrong after use I can just bring it in to get it replaced with a new mattress. I was so impressed by the talk of that sales associate that I decided to buy that mattress along with 2 other mattresses for my kids from them. After only about 6 months use, the mattress started to show depression in various spots. I called Simmons and told them that this is their supposedly top of the line mattress and it has this issues going on. The Simmons customer service guy told me that I need to contact the retailer who sold me the mattress and they will determine the type of damage and see how they can help with that.

So, I went back to the retailer (American Freight). The store manager at the time told me that I need to get some pictures of the issue in a certain way and send those to him through email. That is exactly what I did, I sent him the pictures taken exactly as he wanted. After receiving my email, he sent me a reply after few days that the pictures are not very clear and will be rejected for any claim if sent to Simmons. So, he asked me to do some fresh photos and send those to him again. I did that again, his response was the same. After getting same response from him again I decided to call Simmons again. They told me the exact same story that I have to file my claim through the retailer. I think that the retailer is trying to decline the initial claims on their own and not even passing them to the Simmons. It may be a mutual understanding between both businesses to handle the customer complaints in this fashion.

I have all the pictures of the mattress to show how bad this mattress is. I have never slept on a mattress this bad in my life. This is so bad that I can't offer any of my guests to sleep on this mattress because they will wake up hurting all over. Looks like this mattress was made with recycled or substandard materials because I have never seen a mattress go bad only months after the use. We only are home for few hours and bought this mattress thinking that it will provide us good sleep for whatever time we are at home but it has turned into a nightmare for us now. We need to get this resolved with Simmons and Harbor Freight Company. As I said earlier that we bought three mattresses from them. The mattress in question is the most expensive Simmons King size mattress. Though the other two are also starting to show the sign of depression in many areas.

Purchased April 2013 for $2,065 from Mattress Warehouse in Woodbridge, Virginia. Both sides of the mattress have compressed to where it is uncomfortable. Of course the middle of the mattress is fine where no one has slept. We own and have owned Beautyrest mattresses for fifty years. Never have we been disappointed with a set until now. We made a claim and the inspector measured the "normal body impression" and the company found that it met acceptable limits. The inspector did not measure the body impression with someone lying on it, which I think would be necessary to make a determination. We countered the claim and were told to add a fifth slat and they would re-inspect. They are to come out next week to re-inspect.

Updated on 06/16/2016: We had a follow-up inspection and they again claimed the mattress was functioning properly. Here is my reply: "How could you find structural failure without testing for how far the coils compress with weight applied?" After a year or so of lying on the mattress, it sinks several inches and is uncomfortable. Even when the bed is made, the spread looks like it's covering two trenches. We don't accept your inspection(s) as sufficient. Therefore, if your company will not stand behind their product, and as you say "the product is performing normally," we will never buy or recommend it again. We did not pay $2,000 for a mattress to contour permanently to the shape of our bodies!

I woke up unable to completely stand straight without pain because it was like I was half sitting up while trying to sleep. I had to go to the chiropractor that day. I can measure this by pressing my hand into the mattress and laying a wooden ruler lightly on the mattress top and measuring how far it touches my arm. I am not exaggerating, the depression is a full 7 inches.

My husband has just bought me a Simmons mattress, a firm to hard one because we were ready to renew our old one, but as soon as we laid on it we rolled into the middle. I have never suffered with not being able to sleep but this mattress is horrible, we have just emailed the company for either a replacement or refund, but after reading the reviews I feel sick! I don't hold out much hope, but we also don't have a couple of hundred pounds to just buy another one either. Help!!!

I bought a $5,400.00 comforpedic memory foam mattress, top of the line. It's not even 3 yrs old. It sinks in so bad in the middle. I have constant sciatic/hip pain from sleeping on it now. The Simmons people do not honor their warranties. Their response after having sent one of their people out to look was to say that it was normal and the mattress is meant to conform to your body. I will never do business with this company again. Their mattresses don't hold up, even when you buy the very best they have. Don't make the mistake that I did.
