My wife and I ordered >$3,500 of furniture from Ashley Furniture in Bowling Green, KY on 02/12/15. We still don't have it. Out of 3 recliners, 1 loveseat/sofa combination, and 1 table; we received the table and a poor quality loveseat/sofa on schedule (5+ weeks after placing the order). Since that time they have come back out and delivered 1 of 2 matching recliners. We have still never seen 2 recliners and the promised new loveseat/sofa (replacement for the defective unit). Multiple deliveries have been scheduled and then cancelled at the last minute with excuses like "your furniture never arrived in our distribution center" and the best of all "your furniture got here but it was mislabeled and really isn't your furniture".
When I've contacted Ashley Corporate their response is the Bowling Green, KY store is independently owned so they can't do anything. When I've contacted (many times) the store itself the salesperson seems very concerned but NOTHING ever happens. Right now we've been told we can expect delivery on 04/23/15 but who knows; they cancelled the scheduled deliveries of 04/09/15 & 04/16/15. We have no confidence at all that we're ever going to receive anything or that anything we do receive will be in satisfactory condition. It's like a lottery you pay for ticket (furniture) and then sit around hoping you win (something - anything gets delivered). Promised Delivery Dates seem to really be just "Delivery Possibilities/Guesses". I don't understand how they can look themselves in the mirror each day.

Ugh. My fiancee bought this furniture right before we met 3 years ago. We have had Guardsman out numerous times, one time they approved a request and fixed a broken (shattered) dresser drawer. Gee, thanks. Never mind the missing finish from the coffee table, end tables, peeling couch, beat up bed frame. Who cares that thousands of dollars were spent after they completely DUPED my fiancee into believing their furniture was high quality. In the beginning, he told me how "high end" their furniture was compared to the cheaper places, how they had shown him comparisons. Oh, that's great. Because after moving the coffee table to vacuum the rug, the leg splintered.
But since we had just been denied by Guardsman YET AGAIN, do you know what we did???? We threw our 3 year old coffee table in the GARBAGE, because we didn't have the energy to fight for our COVERAGE once again... We had to purchase new coffee and end tables, the end tables that they wouldn't even try to repair look so bad we put them in the basement. Now, let's talk about our "leather" couches... The arm of our couch is peeling so badly, so we thought for sure that would be covered, right? WRONG! The technician laughed at us, and said that it is bad product quality that is to blame, and there was nothing they could do.
Oh, okay, what about the love seat that came with a giant unraveled thread? NOPE. No one ever fixed that either, even though we attempted to have Guardsman fix it, then called Ashley and spoke to numerous people when we first noticed it. The love seat was about 3 months old then. But since no one even bothered to call back and attempt to express concern for our investment, here it sits with that same thread unraveled. A couple weeks ago, we called Ashley Furniture and my fiancee spoke with a manager, who had to "put a call out" and call us back because he "totally understood" our frustration. Hmm, how did that go you ask? I guess not well, since he didn't even pretend to care and at least return a courtesy phone call. Nope, nothing.
So, I will be posting this on NUMEROUS other sites as well, because I would not wish this on anyone. ANYONE. It is so embarrassing to have people in our home, sitting on our expensive couches, looking like we picked them up at a Goodwill. We probably should have, they might have held up better. Thank you Ashley Furniture, for your dedication to uphold the standards of your name and the products you sell. Oh wait, no, you could care less about the hard working people you sell your garbage to. Let me go work some more so I can replace our new furniture with some more new furniture.

We bought furniture from Ashley twice now and the first time wasn't too bad but this time we have had troubles with them. At first when the delivery guys game into set everything up; they dragged my daughter's desk and dresser across the top of my newly put down tile. I called and they sent a tech out and he said there was nothing he can do they will have to bring new out. Today is the day and when I called Ashley, she said "we never confirmed it," and of course yet we did.
Ashley will not, never get my business again and in my opinion nobody should go there. But I'm looking for an attorney to help get this resolved. I have heard other people going through this as well and now it's been almost 2 mo and nothing has happened, NOTHING.

Now that I'm on here I see this is a recurring issue for Ashley. On 3/29 I ordered an "Ashley" mattress and motorized base for $3,000. They set the delivery date to 4/10 and on 4/8 confirmed that delivery would be 4/10 between 12:30 and 4:30. On 4/10 they call me to inform me that I need to confirm my delivery date for 4/14. Now I gave my bed away this morning expecting the new one, I took today off of work and can't take any more the rest of the month but here's the kicker. When I called the store they told me they'd see if another customer ordered the same bed and they'd see if they could grab one. So basically, there's a very good chance that another "angry" customer yelled loud yesterday and got my mattress.
To make matters worse, they won't try and replace the order with another mattress that is in stock even if I had to pay more and they're offering me $100 gift certificates or waiving the delivery fee. That's simply insulting. Kudos to Ashley for perfecting the "Just In Time" inventory control system, crappy for us the consumers because one burp in their system and you become less important to them than a couple of days of interest they would have paid to have a couple mattresses on hand.
I've always bought locally through small stores and this time I am regretting not doing that big time. At least a small local store would give more than 4 hours notice that your goods aren't being delivered and would bend over backwards to make it right. The last time something like this happened locally they cut $500 off the order and gave me a free 10 year warranty and repair plan. Buy local, Ashley is obviously too big to care.

I bought a bedroom set in January 2013. The dresser is coming apart. Ashley convinced me to buy insurance from Guardsman to cover the set after the 1 year warranty. The Insurance was not cheap and now Guardsman is telling me they don't cover furniture falling apart. Ashley misrepresented the insurance and needless to say, I would never purchase anything from either Ashley Furniture or Guardsman ever again. What a ripoff!

I bought 1800 dollars worth of furniture from Ashley's to furnish my new apartment. Sofa, chair, TV stand, Sofa Table, Dining table, and 4 dining chairs. I actually have no issues with the anything aside from the sofa and chair, the two most used items on this list. On arrival, I actually turned away the chair because one of the legs were turned wrong, leaving it pointy at the bottom, did not sit flush on the floor. 2 weeks later, I got it back and now, most of the legs do not sit flush with the floor and digs into the faux wood linoleum floor and the sofa, is very uncomfortable, the cushions are nearly flat and there is a weird indention now on the sofa from the cushions where we sit most often. I won't be buying any more sofas or chairs from Ashley's.

I purchased chair & ottoman on 3/22/15. Not until I signed the purchase agreement did the salesperson inform me that delivery of the furniture would take 2-6 weeks! I was not happy with that at all and she assured me it should be closer to two weeks. After two weeks passed I called and was informed that they are low in stock in the particular set and it could be another 6 weeks before delivery.
I asked to talk to the manager to discuss cancelling the purchase since I would have purchased elsewhere had I known this and was told she wasn't available but they had requested the item be "hot ticketed" and she would call me again in a few days to see if the request would speed up delivery. I asked her to please call my cell phone, not the home phone, so I could speak with her directly. But, instead, I just checked my home voice mail and there is the message that it could be the first week of May before I receive my furniture. I will share my experience with all of my friends via social media to warn them NOT to ever shop the Spokane AF store. Looks like this an issue for many unsuspecting folks...might make a trip to the store to warn other potentials victims.

I would not recommend Ashley Furniture, the prices are cheap for a reason because the units fall apart and even though they say the furniture is under warranty and the owners care about customer satisfaction...not true. I've been waiting almost a year for replacement drawers. I've gotten three different shipment dates and then someone cancelled the order twice. I call corporate and spoke to a woman who chewed me out - told me they are independently owned and there was nothing they could do and hung up. Don't waste your money. Invest in a product that will last and is backed by a company that does care about quality and value their customer.

We have spent over $15.000 with this company. They talked about how good their premier protection was. So we wanted to cover ourselves cause you never know what can happen. I noticed my leather on one of the table seats was peeling so I went to the store and they said it was covered under the 5 year coverage. I called the protection plan company and told them what was happening and before I can barely get it out she said it's not covered. So please tell me what is the use of buying the plan if it is not going to cover the parts that needs to be repaired. Now I don't know if they sold me real leather or not. I will know next time. And I just bought a bed 3 days ago. Signed not satisfied.

February 16, 2012 I purchased a Durablend Black Reclining Sofa ** and also purchased the Durablend Black Reclining Loveseat w/ console **, and purchased the 5-year Extended Warranty **. The seating surfaces on the couch are peeling off life like a person who had bad sunburn. The recliner is broke and had gouged my wood flooring badly. I called to file a claim ** and was informed these issues are not covered. I really loved the looks of the set and when told about the extended warranty I could get which would cover anything that could go wrong with it in the next five years I was sold!
Now I'M having these problems. I'M told "Oh well the warranty doesn't cover "DuraBlend". It also doesn't cover the reclining mechanism." If it doesn't cover the Durablend why was I sold the warranty? I was told this warranty covered everything. Now I'm stuck with a horrible looking piece of furniture that's broke and has ruined my wood floor. BUYERS BEWARE!!!

It seems a lot of people have had bad luck with Ashley. My family has been shopping at Ashley in Amherst NY for the last year or so. We have always had great service and help although the associates can be pushy. All of our furniture has been great. We purchased a patola park sectional last year but sold it due to a relocation. Recently we purchased a couch, loveseat, bed set with dresser, end tables and a mattress and although we got a great deal, the delivery is delayed for 6 or 7 weeks. Very annoying and it sucks that most of you have had terrible experiences. Just be sure to get everything promised in writing and signed by multiple employees.

I purchased a couch from Ashley Furniture and I also purchased a 5 year warranty with it as well. A year or so went by and one of the heating pads in the seats stopped working, and there was also a small nick in the couch as well. I called GBS enterprises and told them the situation, and they sent a local repair man out to fix the problem within 2 weeks or so. He took care of the nick the best he could and told me that they need to send him a new heating pad so he can come back and install it. A month or so went by and didn't hear form GBS or Ashley Furniture. I called them back, and GBS said they needed to get a hold of Ashley Furniture, and they said they would give me a call back which they never did. I then called again and they said the same thing, and never called me back.
I called back a 3rd time and a customer service representative at GBS told me that Ashley Furniture never even sent the part and it was going to take 4-6 weeks to get delivered, but it actually came about 5 days later to my house, and I called back GBS and they told me that Ashley Furniture was supposed to tell me to call GBS when it arrived, but they did not tell me that by any means then a customer service representative told me that the next available day was a little more than a month away to get my couch fixed. A day before the appointment was scheduled GBS called and changed the appointment time the next day at about 9 pm, then when that day came they cancelled because of the weather (it was lightly snowing and it wasn't even sticking to the roads) then they rescheduled me for another day a month later at the end of April, so as of right now my couch is still not completely repaired. It’s been almost 5 months.

We have no children. It is just me and my husband. Couch is ripping apart. The couch is a year and 5 months old. The store said there is nothing they can do, it is out of manufacturer warranty. Called corporate. Sent photos, filled out forms, emails, phone calls. They said it will take 6 weeks before responding. They call me and say nothing they can do and it was normal wear and tear! Bull!!
It has been a fight and a struggle but I refused to be ripped off as a consumer. Finally the manager at the local store sent an email asking corporate to send a tech out. It has caused me stress, headaches and time. Their customer service is awful. Their quality is awful. The reviews are awful. Wished I would have read before I purchased. Now the fight is on! I got another email saying I have to discuss it with the store. This is never ending and the right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. I honestly wish a good consumer attorney would tackle this. Consumers are getting taken advantage of by Ashley's Furniture. I will do what I have to do to fight this battle (legally of course) Stressful. :(

My furniture is falling apart. It is just me and my husband here. Customer service is a nightmare. Had this furniture a year and 5 months so now it is out of warranty. The communication with this company is horrible. Update:3/27/15 Corporate called me and said it is normal wear and tear. Are you kidding me? No way. It is just me and my husband here. No kids, no visitors, nothing. Still no phone call from corp. Manager. I did get ahold of the Springdale manager who was a nice man and tried moving the issue up. I can't believe they would not send a tech out to even look at this prior to my blood pressure going up. I'm honestly done buying anything. I'll throw bean bags in the floor!!! I'm soo done. :( I love this furniture I really do but this is so not right. Their quality is an awful.
4/02/15 - I Talked to the Corp Manager named **. He kept referring to the manufacturer saying that it is normal wear and tear. If you had told me that one year and 5 months later my furniture would start separating to where you can see the white of the furniture I would have walked out and never made that purchase. He is sending a tech out and everything is always 6 weeks, out for an answer. Now another 6 weeks out after the tech comes out. I have made my last purchase with anything.
It is exhausting that as a consumer a product can't last over a year. It is wrong. I am sure I will get nowhere with this situation because no one wants to own up to their crappy products. The manager at the Springdale location is a very very nice man. His hands are tied but he seems like a very good man. The corp. manager said he was the highest I could go. However, unless he is the owner or CEO I am thinking he is wrong, hmmmm.
If you haven't had issues with Ashley's products then that's great. However, if you ever do you will grow cobwebs before anyone addresses it. Products do not seem to last over a year. There needs to be a law forcing these companies to carry a 2 year warranty on their products. It is really sad! Consumers beware! If I hear 6 weeks out one more time I am going to lose it! NEVER AGAIN! First time buying from there and last. From now on I will go to Hanks!

We were in the Decatur Ave store in Las Vegas NV. We liked a sofa, but were unsure if it was what we wanted. We were told that there was a sale at 35% off one item and to hold that price, we should put down $150. We asked if we could get the money back if we changed our minds, and were told by two salespeople that yes, we could just call and cancel the sale.
When I called on Tuesday, March 31, I was told that "LAYAWAYS" are non-refundable. I was unaware that we did a layaway -- I thought we were putting money down on the item. We were told, "Check your paperwork." We were given a piece of paper -- I was told it was a receipt for the $150. Now I am told it was their layaway policy and I have no recourse except to dispute this with my bank. I will never do business with Ashley Furniture again. The salespeople are all really young and most of them are totally clueless. I had to call the store 3 times and let the phone ring 40+ times. December 28th 2014 my husband and me went to the Plymouth meeting store and looked through the stock. We found a three seater and love seat we liked so we spoke with the sales person and ordered it. We got the insurance to cover it just in case as we are expecting our first child so wanted something of good quality. It took 4-5 weeks to come. We have it now 6 weeks and noticed within the last three weeks the lacquer that they put on it is coming off and exposing the leather that they dye before they lacquer it. All this has happened on the back padding where your lover back would rest, this is on the love seat as this is where we sit.
I called the store on March 16th and told them of the issue. They gave me a reference and the website to send pictures. I finally got around to it on Friday the 20th. I did not hear back till Friday the 27th and the lady came on the phone with, "Hello you have the furniture now a few months. We looked at the pictures. It is chemical burn so we are not liable." This was the whole conversation. No questions, no nothing, just you done it tough.
I would never put a chemical on my brand new leather seat and further more continue to put it on. This is the laziest explanation and simple stupidity at its best. No one would do this. I have had plenty of leather in my life time. Never have I seen anything like this. I asked for a supervisor who is equally unqualified in the act of customer care and they were admitting you can't do anything. I pointed out the contract, their store warranty, and my insurance. All say dye transfer is covered. My insurance covers leather peeling and cracking.
They clearly don't stand by their product seeing as we have it 6 weeks there has to be some kind of return policy as I refuse to believe this is the first time it has happened. Bad quality, bad customer service, and plain robbers who sell bad furniture and then see how to avoid the consequences. It is a joke. My husband and I spent $6000 in the last year and this is the way they treat you. Don't buy from this company. They are not a good company and once you pay they tell you they are not liable. The mistake I made was buying from them. All we done was sit on our seats and this happened. No chemical was ever put on it. We didn't have it long enough to have to clean it.

I still haven't seen it, if you call the company they don't allow you to speak to a rep. You can only fax information. This is a horrible way to take advantage of a single mother. I should have checked online reviews before buying the recliner from Ashley Furniture. AF sent flyers for few weeks, advertising warehouse clearing sale. So, my husband and I went to the nearest AF to buy a sofa. After talking to a nice lady who works there, we ended up buying a loveseat recliner for $1000. The lady said that it would take about 2 weeks for the delivery but usually it takes less than that. She also mentioned that it could take up to 6 weeks at the latest. I was not happy about the waiting time but I really liked the chair so I said it is ok. For some reason, contract said 2 to 8 weeks. So, it was wrong from the beginning. I just didn't want to see it.
Now it is week 9 but I still don't have the recliner. I made my first call on week 4 and it has been a battle ever since. They called several times only to tell me that the delivery schedule has been delayed (not to my place. to its own warehouse from out-of-state). I got another call today and the recliner should arrive to their warehouse next week. After that, they are not sure how long it would take to deliver it to my place. Clearly they are in breach of contract so I am considering whether to cancel the whole thing off. However, some of the online reviews are stopping me from canceling the contract because AF charge 30% restocking fee or something. I want to avoid fighting with them if I can.
Anyway if you already bought something from them, I feel so sorry for you. If you haven't bought anything yet, God Bless You. Stay away from this hell store. It brings nothing but suffering.

I get home and realize the bed I just bought was too big for the room, so I called the very next day to cancel. Should be easy enough since the bed is back ordered for 3 weeks right. Wrong! I am told I cannot cancel. There are no returns and no cancelations, which by the way they did not tell me any of that! So now I have to go pick up a bed in 3 weeks that won't even fit in my room.

After only two years of having our kitchen table and chairs, the finish on the top of the table started coming off. It looked terrible. I had to hide it with a tablecloth! (A couple other parts to the chairs were coming apart also, but that was not as concerning because we could somewhat fix them.) When I contacted the store they said they first said they only had a record of us in the computer as buying a dresser. I told them we had bought a bar w/stools, a complete bedroom set, and a kitchen table with matching barstools.
She later came back and said she had found the record, but because the table was 2 years old and we did not purchase the extended warranty there was nothing Ashley Furniture would do to help. She did give me the contact info of a business that could fix my table, but when I called them, they said my city (which is only 25 min from Ashley Furniture) was not included in his work area. When I called Ashley Furniture back to get the name of someone else who could fix my table, she said she didn't have any names! Are you kidding me? It's bad enough they sold me a poorly-made table that I'm going to have to pay to have fixed only 2 years after purchasing it, but they can't even give me the name of someone to do the job? Aren't they in the furniture business? I have spent way too much money in that store to be treated like this. They have lost this customer!

Bought living room furniture - sectional couch and tables with 5 year extended warranty from Patchogue, NY store in May 2014. Should have known not to when I learned before I made the purchase that all Ashley stores are independently owned and all have different warranty policies. The couch section has settled very differently than the rest of the sectional. It has also broken the frame 3 different times in different areas. I have had them here twice already for the frame poking thru the leather in back of the couch. The last time was last week, when the tech fixed it he said he saw where it was fixed and was broken in another spot due to poor build. He left and later in the day we noted it broken the same place he had to work on it.
We called Ashley back, complained it is still broken where they were to fix it. They told us that that the warranty was now invalid because of the tech writing it up as being from "abuse" as he saw my 7 year old climbing on the couch. She was getting away from us to move the couch so he could get behind it to work on it. NEVER AGAIN WILL WE USE ASHLEY FURNITURE.

We had problems from the very beginning on a top of the line 7-piece leather sectional that was delivered on Dec. 27, 2013. It started with the order being written incorrectly. The result was that the wrong pieces were delivered and it took 3 weeks to get straighten out. Within 6 months the leather on the back of one recliner began literally peeling! Ashley replaced that piece. Now, in March of 2015, less than 6 months later, the same recliner is peeling again. This time they refused to replace the whole recliner but sent just the back cover. When the installer arrived today to replace the defective piece he realized it was a different grain. He left taking the piece with him.
I called Ashley c/s asking them to pick up the entire sectional as I am sick to death of the problems. But, of course, that is out of the question! So, they are going to, once again, send out the replacement cover and even refuse to replace the recliner. I asked to speak with a manager but was told she was not available, then that she was on the phone. The girl I talked to said she would only be able to do exactly what she is doing, replacing the leather piece.
At the same time of the original order, I order a large area rug that also was defective. It had many wrinkles that did not settle down even after 4 months. The one bright light at that time was ** who was the PFLUGERVILLE TX store manager and had come out to inspect the rug, realized it was defective and credited our account. ** is no longer at that store. I had tried to talk to the new store manager but was refused and told to call customer service.
One last thing. I purchased Montage Protection for $600 as I was told that if it was damaged or defective at any time within 5 years they would pick up the entire sectional for full credit for something else. When I called them about this problem they said they can't help on manufactured defect. All they would do is REPAIR the damage that was caused by us, not replace. So I was lied to from the very beginning. Don't make the same mistake I did and ignore the reviews. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY Furniture.

They want us to accept the matching pieces before the couch is ready. We do not want a partial delivery of furniture, all or none. I would NEVER buy from this store in Jacksonville FL again.
Advice to anyone: be sure the furniture is in stock and able to be delivered, write on face of contract if furniture not delivered by promised date, sale is cancelled. Better, yet get on a quality furniture store that will stand by their promise. I also never received a copy of the SIGNED contract just a printed invoice with a blank signature line. Unfortunately I signed a finance contract but put no money down, they still insist that I can't cancel the order. I purchased a Mattress at Ashley Furniture Homestore on 5/10/2008 for the total amount of $1422.02. I purchased all the recommended items, such us a "Common QN Box" for the support of the mattress; I also paid delivery charge because I was told that unless Ashley Furniture Homestore delivered the mattress that it would ensure that the mattress arrived at my home without undergoing any damages. The sales person never told me that I was required to purchase a Mattress Cover to keep the warranty intact, Sealy's online warranty does not require that I purchase a Mattress Cover. Sealy's Warranty package was supposed to cover my mattress for 10 yrs from the date of purchase. Here is what they are saying to evade honoring the warranty. If the mattress was not covered with a Mattress Cover, which I didn't have, the warranty is void.
Here is the convenient term that they use: "Any product found to be in an Unreasonably Unsanitary Condition, meaning the product is so PERVASIVELY SOILED that 1) an inspector is unable to conduct an appropriate inspection of the condition of the product without being exposed to potentially dangerous bodily fluids, bloodborne pathogens, or other substances that could cause significant injury". The term Unreasonably is a loosely used term, and it is chosen for a reason, it is used because its impossible to disprove. Mind you the Inspector was able to inspect the mattress and yet they are denying honoring their Warranty due to a coffee stain. When their inspector came out on 3/11/2015 he found that the mattress was 2" inches or more indented, which is well within the coverage for warranty.
As per Sealy's Warranty since the inspector was able to conduct his inspection w/o significant injury and because the mattress was found faulty; then I am in compliance and am entitled to a new mattress. And they are still refusing. I do not take kindly to "strategic corporate" endeavors that are formulated with the sole intention of "getting over on the customer". I have read your policy and as an added courtesy have included it in this response message. I want to address this on many fronts. First, I do not like it when a product is sold to me as a "Cadillac" and then when I call on the retailer and ask for help with the product that they sold to me they turn around and tell me "sorry we cant help". The only reason I purchased this product from Ashley Furniture Homestore was because they offered this warranty with the mattress. The sales person went on and on about this warranty.
Not once, did she even present to me to purchase a mattress cover, nor did she say that w/o the cover your mattress warranty will not be honored. Let's look at the facts; I included my receipt, I ask: "can it be that a person who spends over $1400.00 dollars on a mattress really decide not to spend an additional $25-$30 on a mattress cover??" Really?? The truth is that this matter cannot and will not be decided on speculation alone, but, based on my experience it is my understanding that Ashley Furniture Homestore sales reps "INTENTIONALLY" are taught to exclude these very important details so that when this day arrives, they can throw their arms in the air and say "there is nothing we can do for you". The Law tag is not on the mattress, you are correct, but is that reason enough to disqualify me from my warranty?? Are you implying that there might be a chance that this is not the mattress that I purchased??
I truly hope that is not the reasoning behind this. And in your response you mention that the mattress is "Soiled" and "stained"; the word Soiled and stained are synonymous, I appreciate that you're trying exasperate the issue with no ill will intentions "I'm sure". But, your inspector came out and examined the mattress and found it faulty. I know this because it is what he told me. When I called for a copy, ** (supervisor at customer care) told me that the inspection report was "Proprietary Information" and that I was not entitled a copy. A decision made against my cause and I cannot see a copy?? This is a shady deal, and is vastly different from what was presented to me approximately 7 yrs ago. Now as per my last response to your company, your inspector was able to make the inspection, which is the greatest concern as per Sealy Warranty policy, so then what is the issue??
I can place a mattress cover over the mattress so that your company can transport it with no risk to them. I hope that the reason you don't want the mattress with stains is so that you can either resell it or Lord knows what. Look, do the right thing and stop trying to cheat people out of products they paid you good money to receive.

Ashley sent out someone to repair the problem, but it took them 2 weeks to send someone out.
We haven't had our furniture for more than two years and ANOTHER reclining mechanism piece broke, but Ashley furniture will not repair the piece because it's past the 1 year warranty. I caught it on the bill and reluctantly went ahead and agreed to the plan because the price she quoted me did not go up. The sales person went over the bill and we talked about every piece of furniture and she pointed to it as she went over the bill. When our furniture arrived, our $500 ottoman was not on the truck. I ordered a sofa and loveseat combo in Feb of 2015. It was delivered in June of 2014 when we moved into our home. In Nov my loveseat broke, I called the store to have it repaired. The girl I spoke with informed me that she put it in the system and someone would call me the following day to schedule an appointment to come and look at the loveseat. I called on a Sunday and was told by Monday to expect a call. Well I waited a WEEK and heard nothing so I decided to call the store again. I was given the number to directly call the warehouse that schedules all the maintenance calls. I asked to speak to a supervisor, he then got on the phone and said, "Well we have been really busy and backed up and haven't had time." It's been over a week at this point and he hasn't had time???
He told me he could not send someone until the next week on a Wednesday. I agreed and said that was fine. The next Wed, 2 maintenance ppl came out, spent over an hr at my house and said they could not fix the problem and someone would either order me a new one or they would pick the loveseat and bring it to the warehouse to fix it. 2 weeks went by and yet again NO CALL!! I again called the store and they informed it they ordered me a new one but it would take about 2 weeks. They said as soon as they got it, I would receive a call for delivery. Well AGAIN over 2 weeks and heard nothing. Called AGAIN and they said they just received it to call the warehouse to schedule the drop off. At this point I'm aggravated because instead of them calling me, I'm again calling them!!
We scheduled the drop off for a few days later. That morning my husband put the old broken loveseat by the door so it would be easier to the delivery men. They come in and immediately look confused. I asked if there was a problem. They said, "Are we picking up a couch or loveseat?" I told them the situation and they immediately said, "Ma'am there's another problem." I asked what it was and was informed that someone made a mistake and ordered me a couch, not a loveseat. HOW does this happen?? they explained that the communication at their stores are HORRIBLE! Mind you, these are ASHLEY FURNITURE employees saying this.
They told me they would call right away and have it fixed. I said, "Well can you leave the sofa in the meantime?" They stated that if they did and it got stained or anything happened, I could be charged. I told them to take it away then bc I have 2 small children and I'm not going to take the chance. They called the store in front of me to tell the manager. I was told AGAIN I would get a call to replace it. Well 2 weeks go by again and I HAVE TO CALL AGAIN bc I don't hear from anyone. They tell me it was back-ordered and would get to the warehouse the next week and I will get a call... Yeah right. I was also told they would send me a 25$ gift card for the inconvenience and the manager will personally call me on Saturday to inform me of the location of the couch! NEVER HEARD FROM HIM AGAIN.
Well another week goes by again and I hear nothing or receive a gift card so I call and speak to the store manager! He says he doesn't know why I didn't receive it so he will call to check on it and call me back and he also says, "Your couch will be at the warehouse tomorrow so they will call you!" I told him I do not believe anything this company says! He says he will personally guarantee it. WELL again another week and no gift card so I call again and this time I AM MAD!! He says, "The couch came in 4 days ago, no one called you?? I told them to call you!" Now I'm furious! I told him that no one ever called me anytime they said they would and this is unacceptable! It has been going on 4 months with no loveseat and they are barely 1 yr old!!!! He apologizes and yet again asks me to call and schedule the delivery! So I do.
I also told him I still haven't received my gift card. He says he will call to check on the card and call me right back. Well about 10 minutes later a woman calls me and very nicely tells me that she did send it but it got returned because she forgot to put the APPT #. I know accidents happen, but does anyone in this company know how to do anything right??!?! She tells me she can mail it to me again or I can pick it up! Well the store that I bought the furniture from and have been calling is only 10 minutes from my house so I tell her I would pick it up the following day. The next day I go to the store and ask my brother to go pick it up for me. He comes out and tells me that it's at the monkey junction store!! WHAT that's 30-40 MINUTES from where I live!!!
I call the store to figure out why it is there and why no one that I spoke with ever mentioned that store when all my communication is done through this store and I bought my furniture through this store, never once had any communications with the other store!! The woman who answered the phone was completely RUDE and nasty! She told me that she never talked to me and it wasn't her fault!! My point was I don't care who's fault it is, she should have just apologized and somehow fixed the issue, not gave me and attitude! She told me that she had already explained it to my brother and didn't understand why I was calling!!!! I was shocked by her attitude and asked to speak to the manager, conveniently he wasn't there!
When I explained my side of the situation, that I never spoke to anybody at the other store, didn't buy my furniture from that store, didn't call that store and never have been to that store, so why would I even think to go there? She did not care and continued to tell me it wasn't her fault! I was told the card will be at my store tomorrow. At this point I don't even know if I wasn't to go get it and deal with this store any longer! I am the most dissatisfied and annoyed with this company. I will NEVER EVER shop there again! I have been lied to every step of the way and giving nothing but attitude! It's going on 4 months and still no love seat and to boot, my couch is now sounding like it's going to break and I don't know if I even want to attempt to get it fixed! Promised to call me that monday 03/09/15 which he did only to say that the earliest he could get me my bed was 03/14/15. I agreed and he "SUPPOSEDLY" was going to credit the delivery fee $129.00. He said he'd call me on Tuesday 03/10/15 to give me the final details. No call on Tuesday. Then on Wed 03/11/15 another moron called me telling me the warehouse had been calling me for days. I was like "NOPE sorry no one has called me." She hung up on me.
I called back. She basically had no idea what she was calling me about and hung up on my again. Seconds later the manager I had been dealing with called asking what I needed? I didn't even call them. Then he proceeds to tell me my bed won't be delivered until Monday 03/16/15. WOW... really? So now I have to take a day off of work to get my bed. And with reading all these other reviews I have a feeling I will take the day off for nothing. I am this close to calling the better business bureau or my lawyer for some sort of breach of contract. I will sue them. This is ridiculous. Ashley is such a HUGE company to have this going on and have such incompetence. I should have gone to Living Spaces just like I had intended or gone to a mom and pop store. Oh yeah and my furniture is all scratched up. I was supposed to get a call to arrange a date for them to come and fix it... tick tock... I'm still waiting.

We have a couch that is 10 months old and the springs and cushions have collapsed. Contacted Ashley furniture and they sent furniture Tech to repair it. I asked repairman, "Where is this junk made? Is it in China?" and said "Yes." The repair was altered and it looks horrible. I contacted Ashley - told them this is unacceptable and they said it was restored to showroom condition. Well if you call this showroom condition where they took the old cushions and strapped them under the springs and also the under frame is cracked. They are mistaken. Now they tell me that I'm out of options. This is the worst customer service that I ever spoke to.

I purchased a whole living room suite from Ashley Furniture. They delivered a partial delivery. Said the rest was on back order for another 10 days. Never heard from them. 15 days later I called them, they said it wouldn't be for another 15 days but they would go ahead and schedule delivery. They said they would call 48 hours ahead to confirm. They called, told them I had to work. We reschedule delivery for that Saturday. They tried to deliver anyway! They came on the Saturday with only part of my order, said the rest of it was delivered earlier that week. Called them they said they had already sold my couch to someone else. It would be 1 to 2 months to get another one. I told them to just cancel the whole order and come get it. They went ahead and scheduled a pickup for 1 month from then. They get here to pick it up said they have a order to exchange a sofa not to cancel the order!!! Still fighting with them to get the order cancelled!

I ordered a bedroom suite - and paid close to $3000 for it. I was told I would get "white glove" delivery with this. In my mind this means a very clean delivery with no issues. On the day the furniture came, there were 2 people that came. The furniture was covered in dust from the warehouse it came from. They began to set up the bed (with under bed storage) and drawers and told me that 2 of the drawers on the bed did not close properly. When we looked at the, the rails appeared warped and bent. The delivery driver did call the distribution center in front of me and we ordered the 2 drawers that were damaged. We went up to inspect the rest of the furniture and they had left a grease spot on my brand new carpet which they did immediately clean. They did not wear booties at all coming into my house.
The first question they asked when they entered was if they could borrow a power drill as theirs was dead. When they were supposedly screwing in the bed slats, there was one on the end that was not screwed in and you could tell they had tried but gave up. So we have one loose bed slat. Upon the delivery driver leaving we discovered an additional drawer that did not close properly. I called the distribution center back immediately and left a message. I then called my sales rep at the store where the purchase was made. All she did was transfer me to the distribution center. I sent pictures and called several more times. Of course - they never got my pictures so I had to send them again! Still no call back, no help from the sales rep.
I finally got a call back from the distribution center who told me she would talk to her manager regarding compensation for my trouble and would get back to me at the end of the day. I heard nothing - this was on a Friday and I had to track her down on Tuesday before I could get any kind of information. The distribution center manager offered a $50 store gift card and my drawers will not be in until April which is a month and a 1/2 after getting my furniture. I am furious!!! Ashley will never get my business again!!!

I ordered my daughter a new bedroom suite about 3 weeks ago. The salesperson told me it would take 2 weeks. No big deal. Then 2 turned into 3, and 3 is quickly turning it to 4. If my order is really being held up for the reasons another store, I was hoping to get the same set from, told me, it maybe be MONTHS before I get her furniture. My problem is not with the store I bought it from, but Ashley itself.
The sales rep has given the salesperson different ship times every week, sometimes two different ship times a week. I realize that there is a delay in shipments all around the world due to the longshoremen strike on the West Coast. I do believe that this is something that the Ashley reps need to tell the sales people, so the sales people can relay this to their customers.

They said they would send some one out to fix it, and after six calls into the claim center and no response, we had to pay someone to come in and fix the hole in the wall that the damage caused. I was so excited to get this sectional. But I have to say now that it's here I'm very disappointed in the quality. When we received it there was a slight tear in one corner which we took a picture of and I'm willing to live with. Also it was missing a foot which was sent out to us quickly. I have 11 grandchildren so I was looking for a durable sectional. My grandson took one of the cup holders out the other and I was really surprised to see that the hole wasn't even finished off. When I was in Costco yesterday I stopped to look at a very similar sectional but different brand. I lifted the cup holder out and it's completely finished off really nice.
Now they say you get what you pay for but this sectional is much less money and the quality is by far better. The underneath of the entire sectional has not been finished at all. I'm really disappointed I wish I had looked locally so I could have checked things that you don't see in the pictures they display. To send it back would be a nightmare. We had curbside delivery and I must warn you that means they leave the furniture wrapped and on pallets. I'm a senior so I had to hire help to get it in my home. So I'm sure I would have to get it back outside to return it. I'm stuck but I'm writing this so if someone else is consider getting your furniture through the Internet, think long and hard about it.

Buying my first piece of furniture, I was looking forward to an exciting experience but it turned out horrible when buying from Ashley Furniture. Salesman was professional but there was some "miscommunication" between my sales associate and myself and I had $2000 of extra items added to my ticket that I specifically did not ask for. I was not pleased with this since I am already stretching my budget to afford new living room couches. I was expecting my total sale price to come to just over $2000 but when I went to pay I was told I owed almost $5000!!! Fast forward 3 weeks to my delivery date. I purchased a 6 piece sectional and a coffee table. After the first day of having the couches I noticed that 2 pieces were completely broken in the back.
I called the service number and they sent a technician to my house to see if they can "fix" my couches. In the meantime, I've also had my coffee table break with one of the wheels breaking off of the bottom. I haven't had this furniture for 3 weeks and 3 of the 7 pieces I purchased are now broken. I'm still waiting for the replacement pieces and a replacement wheel for my coffee table.
In summary, I spent $2,000 for broken couches that are still broken 3 weeks after receiving them and the last thing I want is to pay that amount of money for couches that require fixing. I would have bought from an outlet store had I wanted refurbished furniture. I am fearful for the longevity of my recent purchase and I would really like a full refund for my purchase. Please be careful purchasing your furniture from Ashley's.

On February 18, 2015 I went to the Fairfield, NJ store to look at a sectional sofa I saw online and was interested in buying. I had called the day before and I got a price of $2525. I went to the store to see what it actually looked like and Thank God I did. That thing was humongous. It would not have fitted in my living room. So I looked around the showroom for something more suitable and I found a nice sectional. The salesman was nice enough and he gave me a decent price of $1168 (10% discount, free delivery). He told me I could have it by Saturday, February 21. I told him I would be back the next day to pay in full. That was February 19th.
I went back to the story as promised and paid the amount in full in cash. He told me that the schedule was booked for 2/21 and the next available delivery date was Tuesday, February 24, 2015. Okay not too much of a big deal for me, gave me more time to get rid of the old furniture and to clean the rugs. Tuesday comes and I received a phone call from the delivery guy at 6:30 am. He is on his way, he will be there in 30 minutes. Great!!! That is when the problems started.
He got there a little after 7 am and he came upstairs and told me that they could not deliver it because the pieces would not fit in the elevator and they were not allowed to carry it up the stairs. He said he would call his dispatcher. I spoke with the dispatcher and at first she was like, "we can give you a refund or you can go to the store and pick out another piece". HUH!!!! I think she got her wires crossed. I explained to her it was not that I did not want the sectional, the problem was that the driver said he could not bring it up the stairs.
She me that was not true, that they were only allowed to bring it up 3 floors for free. To bring it up the remaining 2 flights it would cost $10 per piece/per floor. That was not in the contract nor told to me by the salesman but okay $40 more was not going to kill me. She spoke to the driver again and told him what to do and that the store would contact me about the additional charge.
Now the nightmare begins -- they bought up the first piece, the chaise part of the sectional. As soon as they put it down I knew there was a problem. I told the driver that the chaise would be facing the wrong way and to stop what he was doing. I get back on the phone with the dispatcher and told her what the problem was she said to refuse the order and call the store when they opened at 10 am. I refused to order and the driver took the piece back to the truck.
I call the store promptly at 10 am but there was no answer, so I called back again at 10:30 and explained to customer service what the problem was and they put the salesperson who sold me the piece on the phone. I told him about the problem with the chaise, he told me when I went home to face my television (which was opposite of where the old couch was) when I first went to the store and tell him the side the chaise should be on. Okay, if you are facing the television the chaise would have been on the left. However, he got it wrong. I should have been facing the wall where the old couch was and that would have put the chaise on the right side (which was correct). I explained to him that he got it wrong and I need the order corrected ASAP. He profusely apologized and told he will call me back in a few minutes.
2 hours go by -- no call. I called the store back and asked to speak with a manager. Manager gets on the phone and I explained to her what happened and expressed my disappointment with the salesman as he had not called me back. She offered me a credit on the purchase, I told her I paid cash and she told me that she would have a check sent to me. She said all that needed to be done was that the pieces needed to be reversed. She would work on getting the order fixed and would call me back with a delivery date. I explained to her that I took a day off from work for the delivery and there was no way I would allow for my daughter to be home to receive the delivery being that it was screwed up the first time. I told her I could only receive the new order on the weekend. She said she understood and would call me back in a few minutes.
2 hours go back. I call the store again and was told she was with a customer and she would call me back. Another hour goes by and she finally calls. By now it's 3pm in the afternoon. Nothing has been resolved, the salesman never called and I am pissed. I started yelling at her about how terrible their customer service was and how it was very unprofessional to keep customers waiting for hours to fix an order that was the mistake of the salesman to begin with and that the salesman did not return my call since 10 am. She apologized and again offered a credit for my trouble, I told her it was not about the money. It was the fact that no one is working on my problem. She promised to call me back within the hour. She called me at 4:30 pm and told me that she got the order corrected. However, they would not be able to put me on the schedule for a Saturday Delivery until March 7th. I just lost it.
I told her there was no way that I was going to wait nearly 2 weeks for a delivery when the problem was their fault. I asked her if she could put me on a conference call with the dispatcher, no response - CRICKETS!!!.... She put me on hold and again came back with the same response, they were booked up for 2/28 and the best they could do for a Saturday delivery was 3/7. I told her that was not acceptable. She put me on hold again and came back with a compromise -- she would check with the warehouse the next day 2/25 and see if there were any cancellations for Saturday 2/28. I told her that was unacceptable as she was not scheduling me for any delivery date and if I waited for her until tomorrow the next available Saturday may get filled up and I would end up having to wait longer.
Finally, I told her if she could assure that I would be the first on the list for a weekday delivery then I would go into work late to wait for the delivery but there was no way I was waiting until 3/7. She put me in for Tuesday 3/3. Again I mentioned her my dissatisfaction with the salesman for not calling me back at all the entire day. She said she would speak to him. I did not get a call from him until 6:30 pm that night... 8 hours after my initial call to him. I called the warehouse myself on 2/25, 2/26 and 2/27 to see if there were any cancellations. I think the dispatcher had sympathy on me because she put me in for 2/28 (Saturday) and given the time for delivery to be between 7am - 11am.
I received my sectional on 2/28 and they were there at 7am and done by 7:15 am. They bought the pieces up the stairs without calling me and they put it together perfectly. If you ever get into an issue with this company, do not let customer service, the salesman or the store manager dictate to you what can or cannot be done. Take matters in your own hands and you will get what you want.

I also purchased the protective warranty for five years from GBS warranty services that covers frame, structural and upholstery damage. The material has held up well over the last three and a half years. And yes I have kids; six to be exact. Recently, one of the seating places on the sectional has started to peel and wear. I figured I'm still under my five year warranty, let me give them a call (GBS that is). I'm sure I don't have to tell you what happened, as it’s been said over and over on this site. Yes, it's not covered because it’s not top grade leather, but yet they cover burned upholstery, ripped or torn fabric/upholstery and even stained upholstery.
Well I didn't buy upholstery, I bought DURABLEND and expect to be covered for DURABLEND fabric/upholstery (whatever name you want to cover/call it with). Why else would a consumer buy warranty? Certainly not for materials they don't have. Long story short, don't waste time on warranties. Don't let Ashley/Regency talk you into buying warranties that they know you can't use. And don't believe them when they tell you it’s better than... BLAH, BLAH, BLAH. They're liars and I hope they have warranty coverage for when they burn in hell and it’s not covered.

I made the mistake and trusted Ray **, a salesman at the Santa Maria, CA store when he had me initial and sign a sales agreement. I was not sure that the reclining sofa and loveseat would fit into our mobile home. He assured me that I had 30 days to decide so I signed unfortunately without reading each and every word on the document. The furniture turned out to be too big and I went back to the store 3 days later where the salesman told me he would ask the manufacturer to make the frame smaller. Another lie since Ashley only makes a certain model with a certain fabric as the manager later told me. It was when I was trying to get a refund that I was told, and shown on the agreement, that the "Sale is Final" as of Dec. 31.
That the salesman lied and told me I had 30 days before the sale became final and had told me that they'd make the fame smaller didn't seem to matter to the sales manager. He did tell me he would put a stop to the order and I could pick something else except there wasn't anything on the floor that I liked. I left the store with the sales manager assuring me he would call when they had new inventory. I didn't hear and felt uneasy about the whole thing, so I contacted my credit card company and lodged a complaint. I received several calls from the girls at the desk updating me on my order, an order the manager said he'd stopped!! I requested to talk to Jonathan **, but he was always busy and never returned my calls. I also contacted the Better Business Bureau and filed a complaint.
This has been ongoing since Dec. 31 and is still not resolved. Ashley, Santa Maria, has supplied both the BBB and Am.Ex. with the signed sales agreement which I was duped into signing. If the salesman had been honest and told me I was signing a final sale document as of Dec.31, I would never have signed since I wasn't sure about the size of the pieces. I cannot accept the furniture because it is too big. How can a company take my money with such deceitful practices? I have never lodged a complaint about a charge on my credit card and have always paid my bills on time, so this is not a frivolous endeavor for me.

Also, my furniture from the other two stores survived 3 moves and one was to Germany from Arizona.
I am going to go back to buying my furniture from honest and deserving companies. I can only warn you not to go to this store what you do is up to you, but you have been warned. Also make sure pay special attention to the two positive comments on this website, they are from obscure names and no photo. I think the store employees or management posted those comments, just something to think about.
UPDATE!!! I went in to the store at 4:30 pm because I never received a phone call from the store manager (I called at 10:00 am). When I arrived, I was immediately approached by Rob the salesmen who sold me my furniture. Once again, very pleasant and personable, he asked why I was back and if he could help me. I told him what had happened and he looked my order up in the computer and explained to me that they had only received half my order and the rest was scheduled to arrive on March 5th. I thanked him and went back to the service desk to speak with whoever I needed to in order to cancel my order.
A lady at the desk looked up my order and just confirmed what the salesmen already told me. I explained to her that I wanted to cancel my order because I had been mislead and deceived too many times and I had not even received my furniture yet. The manager walked over (the owner's daughter/tall,slender with dark hair), I did not get her name, but she told me she know she was suppose to call me but just did not have the time. I once again explained what happen to her and she said she did not know who I spoke with that told me my furniture was in and that they probably just misread the computer. We talked for about 30-45 minutes and in the course of our conversation, she revealed that not only did she in fact know who (Ashley, an actually employee's name) I spoke with, but it was annotated in the computer.
I cannot count how many times the employees of this store lied to me and now even the manager was not being honest with me. SO I PAID JUST OVER $600.00 in SO CALLED RE-STOCKING FEES. I NEVER EVEN SAW THE FURNITURE!!!! Now get this, they did not even receive all my furniture, they only had half of it and I still had to pay 30% of my total purchase. They basically stole $300.00 from me since they did not have to send all my furniture back only what they had actually accepted. I do not know what you are willing to pay in order to not deal with the dishonest people at this store but I will take my money and businesses to La-z-boy where I know the quality is very good and the people are honest. I owned La-z-boy furniture before and sold it for $900.00 eight years later, can anyone say that about Ashley Furniture.
Oh and I challenge anyone at Ashley furniture to dispute what I have posted on this website. PLEASE TRY AND SAY THAT ANY OF THIS IS NOT TRUE!!!

I am also writing the company, however since this offers me a forum as well I will take it. Customer Service with the Ashley Furniture Store here in Pflugerville, TX started off great, the in-store staff was knowledgeable and polite. The delivery process however almost sent me into cardiac arrest. This company bought the cheapest telephone equipment money can buy. The system immediately indicates that you will be holding because everyone is busy assisting other customers (probably true since they suck at logistics), then you wait for at least 30 minutes, someone comes on the line and tells you to hold again (another 30 minutes), because the goal is to have you hang up. However, this is the secondary issue.
Bought furniture in-store and advised store that I needed the bill to go to different address than the furniture (part-year resident) so wanted bill delivered to an address that permanent resident lived, so indicated no problem. This is the clue to my entire experience with Ashley, so on Wednesday received a call from Sales Manager telling me that the first delivery date for Thursday would not be met, would Friday be okay. I agreed to Friday, no problem. Friday around delivery time, I felt the need to check on delivery (my sixth sense told me there was an issue), called and after the hours wait on the telephone, customer service indicated that furniture order shipped to billing address - Really?
Call store who indicated not where they told them to send would investigate, of course that took the rest of the day and a trip to the store. Finally received call indicating that someone from logistics changed the address - once again - Really? Per store now they would send out to correct address on Saturday (advised them that I had a prior engagement and needed to be gone by 3:00 p.m.), assured me that my delivery would be between 11:00 am and 1:00 pm.
Called on Saturday to customer service department and after another hour telephone call was told, "No your order is expected to be delivered between 12 noon and 4 pm." At this point my blood pressure is probably at stroke level and I hang up. Well at 3:00 pm with no delivery yet, I call the customer service one hour wait line once again and am told that my delivery number was 10 and they are at stop 7 and running behind, maybe by 5:00 pm delivery would be made.
Needless to say the customer service commitment from this company is horrible. Ashley indicates on their script (while doing the 30 minute wait), that they take pride in ability to deliver a quality product with quality logistics is a joke. They should terminate from the top down whomever is running that show and start over. This issue had a simple fix, that would have cost the company less than $100.00 and insured a customer that would sing their praises instead of tell everyone how pissed off they are with Ashley and their service. The company made their mistake my problem and made me feel as if I was paying for that mistake not only with my money, but with my time.

This store is horrible! We ordered $4000.00 worth of furniture. It took them 1 month, which was no problem at all, for them to call to confirm delivery. Once they confirmed our already scheduled delivery we gave away our furniture because we did not want two sets of living room furniture in our house. Two days later Ashley's truck never came. We called and called and called, but the store would not answer nor would customer service. We left messages and no one would call us back.
Finally we were able to get a hold of the delivery drivers and they said that they only had a partial delivery for our house so they were not going to come until all of our furniture came in ONE MONTH AWAY! All of this is unacceptable. Still not a single person would answer our calls at the store or customer service. I had to drive over an hour away to the store to fight with them to get my money back. Big Lots would give you better service than this company. I would not recommend this to ANYONE! I talked to their corporate office and they have so many complaints about this store and since they are privately operated they could not help me but they said to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY YOU WILL NOT BE HAPPY!!!

At the time we were shopping I ask if this unit was real leather and was assured it was. This leather is covered with a Polyvinyl layer which rubs off any where there is any kind of abrasion such as even you hand moisture. We contacted the store right away and was told after much run around that they would send a technician out to inspect the unit. What they really meant was to touch it up. After that we contacted Ashley and was told that since we took delivery of the floor of the showroom the warranty was void. Say what, we didn't buy a defective floor sample but they stuck to their guns. Now we are stuck with leather that we have to baby.

About a year and half ago myself and wife bought a living room set (sofa+love seat+coffee table+2 end tables+2 lamps+area rug) from Ashleys. The sales lady sold us an extra warranty from store. We was told warranty covers Everything except pet damage plus the manufacturer warranty Over $1200. After about 6 mo. the sofa sank in, we thought it was just a spring but when we called Ashley's they sent us a form to fill out. We sent it back. Then finally after about a month a tech guy comes over looks underneath and shows us the frame was busted and tech guy was blaming us!
I can assure you we did not! It looked like someone took a sledgehammer and whaled away, my 2 kids combined weight is barely 125 lbs and there was no visible damage on outside of sofa to give hint that damage came from outside of sofa. The frame was sticking out so bad from back of sofa that it cut through leather and made a hole in the wall!! Sooo me thinking that I got a double warranty I'm covered right!!! Wrong.
Ashley's says it's a manufacturing problem, when I call manufacturer they say it's the store's problem! And so they keep bouncing us back and forth, tell us we need to send in forms only to get a reply back after 30 days saying same thing "SORRY IT'S NOT OUR FAULT call the other guys"... And the worse part is after about a year the leather started to crack and deteriorate and cotton started to come out over the course of 6 mo. (year and half total) the sofa AND the love seat leather got so bad it was embarrassing when people would come over, we had to cover them. They looked like we found them on street corner and picked them up.
We recently moved from that home. The sofa and loveseat was so bad we just left them in the house. We couldn't get the sofa even if we wanted to cause sofa would not fit through door cause of the frame was sticking out that much... My guess is from warehouse the forklift that moved sofa cracked the frame and as we sat on it, it got worse till it finally gave way... as for the leather cracking and deteriorating... I have no idea, they shouldn't do that within a year... and Ashley's warranty is a joke. DON'T BUY!

How can these people stay in business with their shoddy furniture and unscrupulous ways of scamming consumers? My story starts the day after Thanksgiving 2014, when another "partial" order was delivered. I had received my mattress, awesome, loved it, still love it. Got what I paid for. Next the bed and chest arrived, perfect chest, love it. The bed beautiful...except...the headboard, main eyepiece of the bed...defective. Blonde wood, with a big black square smack in the middle! Eyesore, completely hideous. I know it's mass produced, but come on! Went to the south Austin, Texas Ashley store immediately with pics, Michael the manager assured me a "defective" exchange would be made.
Four weeks later of back and forth, delivery setup calls then cancelled delivery calls every two days from Ashley (extremely confusing). Checking on my headboard status, someone dropped the ball and one end did not know what the other end was doing. Finally straightening it out, I was now reassured by the New Braunfels call center that my headboard would be exchanged. On the final delivery of end tables, I asked about my headboard, no idea from the delivery guys. They snapped pics, mentioned it was also not a finished piece of wood, emailed the pics, and I actually spoke to Kathleen on the phone while she looked at the photos and agreed about the hideous black square AND unfinished wood.
Long story short...of course the paperwork didn't end up in the right hands, of course they discontinued this model and sold out of all remaining headboards. They completely SCREWED me out of "quality" furniture and stuck me with a $1400 bed that looks like thrift store quality. Their fault, I did everything by the book, and this is how they do business. I've paid them on time everything I owe, and this is how they do business. They offered $120 to compensate for their mistake. Insulting. The whole bed cost me $1400, nobody purchases a headboard without the rest of the bed. I can't even do an exchange for another set because all they sell is dark furniture! Ripped off, that's how Ashley Furniture does business. Never again, never recommending them, worst shopping experience ever.

First of all, let me start off by saying you don't tell customers to go elsewhere... now, onto my main reason for posting this. I walked into Ashley here in Las Vegas off of Decatur. When I walked in, I knew right away what piece of furniture I wanted as I saw it online (no price posted). I was met by a sales associate who was nice, at first. I walked back and found out they had a special deal where I can get 50% off of any items in the store. Being a little suspicious that something was fishy, I found out what the product number was (B140-46) and did some research online, as well as called a couple other furniture stores locally that carried the same piece. The 50% off was off of the retail price of the item, which was $498.99 according to their tag on the furniture.
After doing some online research and calling to other stores in my city, I found out that the actual retail amount of that piece was $279.99 at a much more low end store, which couldn't possibly do the volume Ashley did. So, what did this tell me? It told me that as expected, Ashley furniture marked their "retail" price up from around $279 to $498, then marked it down 50%, bringing it to $248. While this is still better than $279, the other furniture stores had their furniture LISTED at this price, with lots of room to work. I asked to speak to the manager at Ashley and she told me that if I could find it cheaper elsewhere that I needed to do it because she refused to go lower than their sales price. She was very rude and ignorant the entire time and very snooty. We argued a lot. That was the breaking point.
I went to Walker and got the same dresser for 225. Stay far far away from Ashley. They are scam artists. They are very rude. They are not in it for the customer, just their commission. If you buy here, you will get screwed here too. Save your money and give it to a furniture store that cares about their customers and wants returning customers...

Well I will start with the hour long, on hold, phone calls again today. I am furious and sick and tired of Ashley Furniture!!!

I purchased my furniture on 11/16/2014 on Ashley Furniture (Hato Rey store) and they promised a delivery date of 12/16 and has not delivered it. I keep calling the store and they are unable to provide me an exact delivery date. To make it worst they started charging me without delivering the furniture. Now I want to cancel the order due to the lack of delivery and they are trying not to cancel it. They have a horrible service and I will never buy from them again.

I'm sorry to hear of all the bad experiences. If it's any consolation, I got 'em back for you. I waited in line on New Year's Day to purchase a little bistro table dining set for $15. The flyer I'd received showed four stools, but the salesperson said only two were included. Eh, ok, I can use two. They tried to get me to take delivery @ $99. For a $15 set. Um, no. So they told me it would be ordered and I could pick it up in 2-6 weeks. 10 days later I got the call and scheduled the pick-up. I gave the kid my receipt which shows one table and two stools.
So the kid brings out one big box (table) and two smaller boxes. He looks at his paperwork and says "One table and four stools". I said "No, I'm only supposed to have 2 stools. See? It's right here on my receipt". He looked at my receipt, looked at his paperwork and says "Mine says you get four stools". Who am I to argue??? So I wrote "Received four stools under duress" on the receipt, took them home, put them all together and they're lovely! Two days later I got a call. "We need you to return two stools as your order was wrong". I said "I've put them together and I'll deliver them to you for a $99 fee. When would you like them?" After much frustration and a few threats on their part, I just hung up. Haven't heard a thing back from them. :)

I have had a water bed for the past 10 years that just started to slightly leak when two people are laying in it. So me and the fiancee decided to go make our first "joint purchase" and get a mattress. Last Saturday, we headed over to Ashley Furniture in Bel Air, MD. My future MIL was with us also since we also went to the place we are booking for the reception earlier in the day. The MIL said that Ashley Furniture was having some kind of big sale so we decided to go see what they had.
When we walked in we were greeted by a younger gentleman whose name is Brandon **. He informed us that "everything is 50% off and all prices are negotiable." When we finally made it to the mattress section I had to test out every mattress twice but we were able to find one that both of us were happy with. The price was around $1700 but then you get 50% off. I was able to get the mattress with the upgrade riser instead of the box frame for $750 + tax and $20 to have it delivered to the store for pickup.
I asked if they had one in the back and that the mattress is IN STOCK. I was told "Yes it's in stock but it's at the Waldorf warehouse. Since it's coming from Waldorf it will be here in 3-5 days for you to pickup." I was fine with the 3-5 days since I was driving my car and couldn't take it home right then anyways.
Well last night I decided to go ahead and drain the water bed and clear it out to make room for the new bed. I was going to pick up my new mattress as soon as they opened in the morning. I thought for sure it would be there since it has been 7 days since I purchased it and it's coming from Waldorf.
The store didn't open until 10 this morning so I called right away to tell them I will be on my way soon to come get it. The woman on the phone asked for my name and number to make sure it's there. She then informs me that "it is expected to arrive there on the 17th." I told her that I was told 3-5 days when I purchased it, there must be a mistake. She said "it's on back order which takes up to 3-8 weeks."
I told her there must be a mistake and that this isn't what I was told when I purchased the mattress. She then went and got the sales person, Brandon **, who sold me the mattress. He gets on the phone and says "I never said 3 days I tell all my customers 3-8 weeks." I tell him that I am 100% certain that he said it would take 3-5 days. I also reminded him that he said it is in stock and would be coming from the Waldorf warehouse. He then replies "I never said that, I said that we have a warehouse in Waldorf but the mattress can come from any of the warehouses. We have warehouse down in (forget the state) and it could come from there." At this point I am biting my tongue and I tell him that I will be calling right back.
I hurry and call my fiancee who has the receipt and is at her parents' house and tell her what is happening. She said that he definitely said 3 days; then she went and asked her mother how long he said, and she also confirmed that we were told 3-5 days. I tell her to call and talk to them because I am all fired up. Also if that is really the case and it's backordered, then cancel it and we will go get a mattress somewhere else. She calls over and asks to talk to the manager, the first thing she tells me is that he was a real jerk over the phone.
When I signed the receipt/paperwork for it, it says all back orders are 3-8 weeks and all sales are final. Apparently they consider anything not currently in the store to be "backordered"; the person at the desk who took our payment was supposed to inform us this. Well they won't give us a refund and I am screwed until this mattress gets here.
I was never told that any item not in the store is considered backordered. Then on top of it they are denying everything they said to us when we were purchasing the mattress. These employees will say anything just to get the sale. Then once they have your money you find out they were lying to you the whole time and there is nothing you can do. So now it looks like I am going to be stuck on an inflatable mattress because of my own stupidity (Trusting them) and not being aware of their schemes. Anyone looking for furniture please avoid business with Ashley Furniture in Bel Air, MD.

I purchase a China Cabinet from Ashley Furniture Home Stores that cost 1900 Dollars. I was told by the salesman that the piece would be inspected prior to shipping and that it would arrive in showroom condition. When the furniture was delivered it was not in showroom condition, it was damaged and very dirty. I pointed out the damages to the driver who then contacted the warehouse. He put me on the phone with the dispatcher and I was advised to keep the piece and that someone would be coming to my home to repair it and if it could not be repaired it would be replaced.
Someone did come, he told me that the furniture could not be repaired and should be replaced. He also told me that Ashley would contact me. When they didn't I called them and they told me the exact opposite of what the man told me. They said his report stated that the china cabinet was not damaged and that what I was seeing was the natural beauty of the wood.
When I asked to see the report since it was different from what I was told I was told they couldn't send it to me. I fought with them for three days and finally they agreed to replace the piece that was damaged. Again, I was told it would be inspected before being shipped. The piece came and again was damaged. This time I refused the piece. They would not take the one I already had in my home back nor would they refund my money. They said they would again replace it and it would be inspected before coming. I did get the third piece two and a half weeks after my initial purchase. I was disappointed in the quality of the furniture but I felt this was as good as it got. There are small imperfections in the wood and I am not 100% happy with it, but they were not going to take it back.
I was misled initially by the dispatcher who told me to keep the furniture and that it would be replaced. That was never their intention. I was misled by the salesman who told me it would come in showroom condition, this piece of furniture was not showroom material and I was misled by the website where they clearly photo shop the images of the furniture because the furniture I ordered and received in no way looked like the picture on line. Unfortunately, this piece of furniture was not in the showroom so I did not see it in person.
My experience with Ashley Furniture was the worst in my life time. Their employees on the phone were rude, non caring, untruthful and not interested in helping me other than to say you’re stuck with it. Only one person there was willing to help me in any way and there was only so much that she could do. I would not recommend Ashley Furniture to anyone and will never shop there again.

I had almost the same experience with furniture row. They sell used furniture at brand new prices. They have disabled their complaints and they had a slew. In Albertville, MN for shopping and decided to stop by on 1/25. Spent about 2-hrs but didn't buy anything. Salesperson assisted us, and informed us the 12-mth financing was available with no min purchase (72-mth was available with 2k purchase). Asked several times if there were other conditions and were informed none. Went back on Sunday (1/26) and assisted by different salesperson. Finalized our order, but were informed that the 12-mth financing wasn't available because we chose discounted/clearance items (about 1k); but 6-mth was available. Unhappy with it, but understand. The store manager came up to explain. Very unhappy with him and his explanations. He claimed that the first salesperson was new employee and didn't know all the rules - lame excuse from any manager in any profession.
What upset me the most is that they ran my credit check even though he knowingly that we wanted 12-mth and the items we wanted were clearance items. I saw and heard the salesperson telling him, multiple times, the items we wanted and the total. The manager claimed that he still didn't know what we wanted to order - in his explanation (another lame excuse and flat-out lie). Had I known the 12-mth wasn't available to begin with, I wouldn't want to apply for credit. I am surprised Ashley would hire/keep an incompetent manager - fail to properly train the workers and use ignorance as excuse (didn't know what we order). I am very conscious about my credit score and am very disappointed with the fact that they ran my credit check. We didn't get the furniture but we did pick up several clearance items that day (wall decor).

STAY AWAY FROM THIS STORE (Falls Church, Virginia)!!! THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT GETTING THE SALE, AND COULDN'T CARE LESS ABOUT AFTER SALE SERVICE CONSISTENT WITH OTHER REVIEWS. THEY WOULD GET ZERO STARS IF I COULD GIVE THEM THAT.
We purchased a sofa from Ashley furniture in Falls Church, VA last week. The sofa was a good deal at about 1/3 of the sticker price. We forgot, however, that you get what you pay for. Things started to go bad when we told them we live in a condo building which allows deliveries only from 9 am to 5 pm. The manager on duty promised to call the delivery people to make sure they knew we needed a delivery after 9 am and before 5 pm. Well, the day before the delivery rolls around and I get a message that I am scheduled for 3 pm to 7 pm! Apparently, the manager forgot to put in the delivery notes (although they were in the order notes) that I needed a delivery before 5 pm! After much arguing and calling back, I finally got a commitment that would happen.
Well the delivery day happens, and the sofa comes in a box. The delivery folks tell me it won't fit and don't try and remove the sofa from the box. Okay, fair enough, they give us a store credit for the amount of the order. We go to select our items and then we are told we have to pay for delivery again, EVEN THOUGH THEY NEVER DELIVERED ANYTHING! We were told by the cashier to come back in a half hour because only the store manager may be able to waive shipping.
We come back in about an hour, and the manager was with another customer so we were told to wait. The store manager whose command of English is not good (he used the word "elimination" instead of "liquidation") told us he had no authority to waive the shipping. I then ask why we were told by the cashier to come back, and she immediately jumps in saying she said he MAY be able to waive the shipping, yet his response was he didn't have the power. I brought up the fact that it's been waived in the past per another Yelp review of this store, and he says he can't during the "elimination" event. Really, they charge $150 for delivery when other stores charge less so they should be able to waive the delivery charge but the manager was adamant that he was helpless and we would have to call customer service if we didn't like his response. Really, he's the store manager and he's powerless? What kind of store operates like that?

So 3 yrs later I called to get my money back, the corporate said that I have to wait 5 yrs. not 3. So now 5 yrs later I called the company to get my reimbursement. I went to get new bedroom furniture for Christmas. We went on "Black Friday". They helped us and we did have a great saleslady. We walked all around and found the set we thought would be the best for us. We then went to look at mattresses. We found one we loved and purchased it with the electric base. We were told that the items would come in by 12/6. We received a call to schedule delivery and my husband took time off work to be there. The day of delivery they called to say the mattress and base weren't there. Did we want the rest? Well, what do you do with bedroom furniture with no mattress? I called the people that schedule the deliveries about a week later and was told by them that the mattress we purchased was discontinued. So back to the store to talk to the manager.
Because we had been sleeping on our old mattress on the floor (we got rid of our old stuff for the delivery) they said they would send us the floor model until the replacement of the one we bought was available. So, we said yes. When they delivered the set and the loaner mattress, I made them put in writing that it was a loaner only and not the mattress we purchased. Also, the chest dresser was damaged on the delivery and they couldn't deliver it. So, today is 1/21/2015. I just wanted to leave the store as soon as possible to go watch football. Needless to say, after several months of normal wear and tear, we had seams coming apart, flimsy wood inside breaking and Ashley not willing to fix the items even though we purchased a warranty.
The second time, we bought a table and bedroom set for my daughter. The table's top had scratches in it within 2 months and I have repaired the mattress support boards for my daughter's bed twice in the last six months. After fixing the bed tonight, I have noticed it was poorly constructed with cheap materials. When we purchased a bedroom and living room set at Ashley Furniture in Frederick, MD, we told the sales representative we needed to purchase items in stock to get them as soon as possible. He allegedly checked the computer and phoned someone, assuring us we could expect the furniture in about a month. The paperwork said to expect delivery in 2-6 weeks. We paid a deposit and completed the full payment of $3900 one month later when we picked up wall art (cost $210). At that time, we were told most of the furniture had arrived but they were waiting for 2 items. We contacted them three more times during the second month yet no one could give us an estimated delivery date. The cause of the delay also changed - from the bed was received but the frame was damaged and the sofa was missing to the bed frame was fine but no mattress set or sofa.
Today, two months after ordering, the manager was unable to tell us when to expect the sofa ("it's freighted and out somewhere on the ocean"). They estimated we could possibly get the mattress set and all but the sofa "in another two weeks or so". We declined to accept their offer to deliver some of the furniture in about two weeks. What good is a bedroom set with no mattress & box springs and a living room set with no sofa? The manager did refund our $3,700 but did not seem to care at all about our inconvenience or losing us as customers. Based on our experience, do not recommend this store.

The Quality of the Sofa did not meet basic expectations of a Sofa set. The store representative at Atrium furniture in Dubai insisted that we can select a Sofa from the catalogue and can be rest assured about its Quality. He gave us wrong commitment on the Quality and details of the Sofa set. We had to make all necessary arrangements to ship the Sofa from Dubai to UK within a span of 2 weeks of our stay in Dubai. I am not sure what Quality checks they have in place but the Sofa set which we have received clearly is not meant to be used else it will certainly be in pieces in two weeks.
First time in my life we have seen a Sofa set where there is no wood at the back and side of the Sofa set to support it. The fabric is clearly pasted with adhesive or couple of nails and is already sagging inside. Even if something light bumps into it the cloth does not come back to its original shape and understandably sags inside. The sides and back of the Sofa is suppose to look firm and strong. The tags clearly read: made in CHINA. If that is the case then price and market it accordingly.
The Quality of the wood is so cheap that I am at loss for words. My heart skips a beat when I think how much I have spent and what have I got in return. Does Ashley have checks on the prices or Distributors are selling per their whims and fancies. We suggest that you stop manufacturing these kinds of cheap Sofa sets and playing with people’s money and emotions. I wish full refund of my money i.e. 15000dhs spent on this Sofa set and compensation of all the unnecessary harassment and inconvenience caused to us on purchase of this item. I went in to the Ashley Furniture store in Clackamas, Oregon on Wednesday, November 5th and found the perfect sectional on the floor, exactly what I wanted. They were having a veteran's day sale, so I asked if we could get the discount since my boyfriend is a firefighter. They said no, that didn't count as service to our country. That was a little frustrating, but ok. So I got all the dimensions and went home to measure, and was told that if I ordered that day I could expect delivery on Dec. 12th. Went back two days later to order the couch and was told delivery would be delayed until Dec. 15th. Still seemed ok so I ordered it up. They made me pay in full just to order, wasn't even a custom piece. Thought that was weird since I wasn't expected to receive the couch for over a month, but they required payment in full.
I got called in December and told that the delivery of the couch was delayed until January 13th. Very frustrated and they didn't seem to care. I had counted on the couch to be here for the holidays. Then on January 11th, on a Sunday morning they called and told me that the couch was here and could be scheduled for delivery any time between Wed. the 14th to Saturday the 17th. I chose Saturday so I wouldn't have to miss work.
On Friday the 16th they called my boyfriend's phone, not sure why not mine, and left a message that one of the pieces of the 3 piece sectional was on backorder. So the next morning, on my scheduled delivery day, I called and asked if I was getting partial delivery or none at all. They said the left arm loveseat was the missing piece, after being on hold forever, and told me I could get the other two pieces delivered. I asked what the expected date of the other piece was and they said Feb. 8th but subject to change. I told them that given I had already been waiting almost 3 months for my furniture that I had concerns that I might never get the third piece. So I said I was deciding if I should just cancel my order and get my money back or keep waiting.
The customer service rep said I could not get my money back, I would have to go to the store and cancel the order and to a reselection and pick something else. I said "no thanks, put a manager on the phone because you have had over $1500.00 of my money for almost 3 months and I want a refund." They left me on hold for almost 20 minutes and finally said they would refund my card. I asked when I could expect the refund and they said it could take up to 7-10 days. I didn't pay 4000.00 for furniture that needs to be fixed and also didn't pay for furniture with black marks on it. I can tell you I would not buy from Ashley furniture again if it was 95% off. They must be selling their stuff to newly weds or people who don't know any better.

Purchased a recliner loveseat at the Paramus, NJ store. The piece was a floor model with leather material and the salesman assured me it carried the same warranty as a new piece. Two years later the "leather" began to flake off. After getting nowhere with MFS - Ashley's warranty service - Ashley added insult to injury claiming the warranty expired and furthermore the piece didn't have a serial number. Gee, I wonder who removed the serial number from the bottom of the recliner!? Ashley has poor to non-existent customer service. I regret not reading the reviews first.

We purchased a $1500 on 12/11 and was told that it would be ready by 12/31. The store called and said that it would be delivered on 1/9. We never received it, called customer service and was told that it wasn't in the warehouse and would get it on 1/23. After complaining they agreed to deliver it on 1/13 and to call on 1/13 to confirm the time. Guess what, they said that it was on the schedule, but the warehouse manager cancelled our delivery with no reason as to why. Called customer service 5 times today. The manager was to get a resolution and call me back. I never received a call and was told that she left for the day. No one seems to care.

I bought new living room furniture 8 pieces in all - 2-3 pieces reclining couches and 2 over sized recliners, all in leather. ($4,500 worth). When we got it home and unwrapped it all, we noticed the quality of the furniture. It was so poor, Ashley Furniture should be ashamed. I thought they sent me factory seconds. The sewing seams did not match, the stuffing of furniture did not match, and was not even enough stuffing. When you sat in some of them, you sank almost to the floor, and needed help to get out. The construction is horrible made out of OSB board (chip board) glued together with a few staples, which in my opinion, if you jump on it, will fall apart. Absolutely not the same stuff on show room floor. Even China-made stuff is better than this. Then to get kicked again, I called Ashley to get a refund, they told me that they will not replace or refund anything (that is up to the store that sold me the furniture). So I called the store and they said no refunds, but Ashley will hire a repair tech, but there are none in my area, so I had to find someone who would be willing with and for Ashley. When the tech came out to estimate repairs, he thought this was older and in use for some time, because of the stuffing was worn out. He said all pieces would need to be re-stuffed.
After a while, he sent his estimate to store and to Ashley. Ashley agreed to send more stuffing to me, and pay tech to come out to my house and repair here, not take to shop to fix (about 2 days to do) and then pay what Ashley thought would be okay. No wonder why no one wants to repair stuff for Ashley. So I settled with furniture store well over a thousand dollars and got the furniture repaired and paid the repair tech myself. Long story short, if you want to spend a lot of money on crappy furniture, go to Ashley Furniture.

The absolute worst experience I have ever had with buying anything! So disappointed and still have no furniture. Our orders - yes, two of them, were placed on 11/9/14 and today - 1/13/15 I still have no living room furniture and the issue with our mattress/base has not been resolved. Ashley didn't have a problem cashing or taking the cashier's check for payment immediately. The people who have answers and can get things done never call back and make empty promises. No one has consistent information or can give us a true timeline. We get nothing but lies and delays - more of them every day. We ordered a mattress and adjustable base. They scheduled delivery for a Saturday, my husband took the day off of his commissioned job on the busiest day of the week. Only to have them never call back or show up.
After multiple phone calls to the warehouse, customer service and the store, and a trip back to the store - we did end up with delivery around 6 pm that day, only to get the wrong mattress! Ultra FIRM as opposed to the ultra PLUSH we ordered. Long story short, we ended up sleeping on what felt like a board for a full week before we ended up going into the store and taking a FLOOR MODEL just so we could alleviate the unbelievable back and neck pain my husband and I were experiencing by this time. Still, we do not have the updated invoice or information for this transaction. Though customer service calls at least once a week to deliver the mattress and base that they brought now 6 weeks ago. The wrong mattress by the way. Every time they call I ask for the status of our living room furniture. And every time they check I get a different ready or estimated date - I've been told every time that most pieces are in stock, but one or two were not in yet. I've been given no less than 6 different estimated delivery dates.
Then on 1/6 I received another call to schedule delivery of our wrong mattress - when I asked them to check on our sectional again, and the lady said "well it is all ready to be scheduled - let's schedule for 1/13/15." Skeptically, I agreed. I received an automated confirmation call on 1/9/15 confirming delivery for 1/13 at 12:30. Then it came. The call on 1/12 to let me know that they would be delivering everything except for the end piece with the left arm. This is a sectional! I do not want part of it, it does me no good. Yet another trip to the store... for the manager to assure us that it will be unloaded and it will arrive with the rest of the pieces. That he will confirm this and then call us first thing in the morning, prior to delivery. So here we are - still waiting, not really expecting a phone call at 10 am.
I am so over this - and now just thinking that every time I look at this furniture, I am going to think about nothing but all the headache it has been to get it. I am disgusted and feel like I have been taken advantage of in the worst way. We were promised that these pieces were made to order - all at the same time so they would be made from the same leather and stitching, etc - clearly a lie. We were told our delivery should be around 12/8 "but we will put 12/23 on the paperwork just to be safe and make sure you get it before Christmas." We were told so many things - all lies. Spent several thousand dollars. For nothing. And still no furniture.

After making a purchase and then reading reviews here I became worried. However my experience was excellent. I received a call the next day with a delivery date and another 3 days before then Call the night before saying 8 to 10 am the next morning. At 7:45 the truck pulled up and my reclining love seat was put in place in perfect condition. ASHLEY on Ridge Rd in Rochester NY come recommend by me.

I worked here for ten days, I was yelled at by angry customers all day long and then they fired me because I had a broken foot and couldn't work more than six hours a day, (with a doctors note). In reality the owner wanted to hire more people to work for minimum wage, (yes when you are yelling at the staff there, realize they are only making minimum wage).
They are not going to last with business practices like this and already so many people upset with them. Bend is a small town and this owner is not from here and has no idea how a small town operates, (and treats its people). In the end his cheap heartless ways will probably kill his business and that's karma. Best of luck and be warned if you buy furniture and expect it at a certain time you should add on three weeks at least to the time quoted or you will be let down... I saw this everyday I was there...

My wife and I purchased several pieces of furniture from their store and have had nothing but problems ever since. We purchased a entertainment center from their store that once delivered, was installed crooked and parts upside down. They sent a service technician to correct the issues, but couldn't (on two different occasions). He informed me that the installation had damaged the entertainment center beyond what he could fix. Ashley's refused to refund my purchase and just offered to send out a different technician. The second piece of equipment came in, which was a dining room table, and upon setting a plate on the table, it broke. A piece of the table chipped right off from a plate. Ashley again sent out a service technician who patched the paint, but noted the scratch marks and build, saying it had manufacturer defects in it. He wrote in his report that it was defective and Ashley's refused to refund the purchase only offering a store credit. We couldn't find anything so are stuck with the table.
The last piece was a bunk bed set that was installed so poorly there was screws sticking out where my child slept. I had them remove the set and take it back, but again they won't refund the purchase. I have spoken with several employees, some are very concerned and others could care less. Now they won't even refund my money for this, are only offering a in store credit again. I have contacted their corporate and they state it's a local matter. Disputed the charge, but apparently when you purchase something, you sign saying they will only give store credit. So my credit provider had to put the charge back on my card.
Every time I have dealt with this company it has had a horrendous ending until I give up. How am I supposed to go back and spend $700 in a store such as this. As soon as you sign that purchase they could care less. I have a damaged entertainment center, a damaged table, (didn't mention I also have a sofa they won't warranty because it's not out of their store) and a non existent bedroom set that I still paid for. Every time we call its a sympathetic "oh that's horrible, will try and resolve that" and then you never hear from them again. Worst Service ever.

Employees aren't happy, so there's no investment to get it right and provide great customer service. It's been 2 months and we're still having trouble. They have a showroom that they might or might not sell items from. Anything that has to be ordered comes from the warehouse that may or may not have your item stocked. It may be six weeks or more before you get what you've paid for. The stores on Jacksonville, Florida's north side and in the Town Center are just a complete hot mess. The sales people are worse than any car salesman I've EVER had to deal with.
