I logged into my account to see what I owed as I received no bills from Wal-mart/GE Money Bank. This has also happened with my Lowes card, which was also held by GE money bank, and it was corrected after multiple phone calls. But I will not go through that again. They do not send out bills and then try to ruin people’s credit with this late fee crap. I have had enough. Something needs to be done to stop this type of issue with this company.

I had a Walmart Money Card that expires August of 2013. This was my second Money Card, and I hadn't had any issues. I went to load money on it, and they told me that I had to purchase another one, even though the expiration date was good. I thought it was simply a mistake, and so I complied. I bought another card, loaded it, and waited for my permanent card. That was two weeks ago. No card. So, I called customer service, and they told me that they cannot send me my permanent card, because they had "lost" my information, and that I needed to go and buy yet another card! I cannot believe this! They have my money, and now I am having to fight for it. Never again will I trust these people!

My husband received this as a gift, and I can assure you it was no gift. It was confused for a gift card by my in-laws. However, you have to register it as a credit card - they will want all your information, including Social Security number. There is pretty much no way around it, I'm coming to find out. I was given instructions to get it non-personalized and followed them step by step with still luck. I cringe at calling the customer service. You would think they would make it an easy option to get it non-personalized because of this confusion with maybe aging parents or them sitting right next to the gift cards. But no luck. It looks like we have $100 that if only I would give my Social Security number out, I could have. I will probably break down and do it but ugh!

Well, Wal-Mart offered a $1,000 gift card. I went through all the steps and bought two items I didn't need to get this card. I have complained four times so far with no reply. I'm considering consulting a lawyer over this matter. Wal-Mart has posted a fraudulent ad. They never intended on giving out these gift cards and I'm sure they got a little something from the sales that people made. I am sure there will be no reply. I needed this card for Christmas and I am in the poor house as a result of being ignored.

My son gave me a Wal-Mart MoneyCard for my birthday thinking, I guess, that it's a gift card type of thing. I tried to register it and found out they wanted my SSN which I was wary to give for a gift card. So I tried to get a refund. But since I don't have the receipt with the return number, I can't go through the automated system and you can't access an operator. The system tells you, paraphrased, "We understand you want to speak to an operator, but we need some additional info" and then proceeds back to the registration where they want your SSN.
I sent them an email detailing my plight and got a reply telling me to go through the activation hotline to speak to an operator. I tried that again but evidently, the email support team doesn't know you can't get to a live person. (How would you like to be an operator dealing with all of these mad customers? Bet they have crazy turnover!) I sent them another email and they replied to go to the website and choose "Close card" but that's not an option on the website. I sent them another email and someone called me to tell me I could use it as a debit card. That was frustrating because why didn't someone tell me that before? Well, no one told me that before because it's a lie. You still have to register it to use it as a debit! Surely this person knew that and simply lied to me. Why would a company lie to its customers?
Bottom line is they still have my money and when I do get a refund, they want to charge me $3 to send it. What a scam. What government regulatory agency is in charge of overseeing this charade?

This is the second year in a row we purchased American Express and Visa gift cards for Christmas from Walmart. Both times when trying to activate the cards, we were told the cards have a zero balance. The gift cards were purchased with a Walmart credit card. Charges are already on our statement but cards are still zero balance. According to AmEx, they have not been paid by Walmart so they will not load the cards. This very embarrassing when your family tries to use the cards and they are declined. It's becoming more and more common for companies such as Walmart to dominate the market at which time they seem to be untouchable. Something needs to be done. I am only one person. However, if this is happening to me, I can guarantee it is happening to thousands of others.

I purchased a Wal-Mart money card worth $100 on 3/14/12 at Wal-Mart in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. I received a temporary card with no. ** valid through **. After activating the account, we received two cards, one with no. ** and another with **. We called customer service at 1-877-937-4098 and spoke to Mrs. Nora and Mr. Adrian. We were told that the accounts were cancelled and that a refund would be issued to us in May 2012. Six months have passed and we have not received our refund. We sent a fax to Meta Bank and received no response. I also sent a message to Wal-Mart and they have not resolved my problem. Where did the $100 go? I want my money back.

I opened a Wal-Mart credit card about two years ago. I was happy with the card. I understood perfectly the entire contract associated with this card. About a year after having the card and paying online, I saw another card listed on my account. At first I did not realize that it was my old credit card that was dismissed in my bankruptcy five years earlier. I was upset and called the credit card customer service. I asked, “What was the point of putting this old card on my account?” I was told that was their option to do this and it was their way of keeping track of my history with Wal-Mart. I immediately closed my account and will never open another one. This is totally uncalled for, and there was no purpose of bringing up that old account other than to remind me of my past credit history!

I am a Walmart store loyal customer (two or more times a week shopping there). But I have been tortured so bad by Walmart Money Card (reloadable) Customer Services for using their card for about two weeks. They got my nerve broken.
It takes 12 days and 5 phone calls to Customer Service to refund my money back to my card. After my order was cancelled by Walmart.com, I called Walmart Money Card Customer Service a total of 5 times, talked with 6 operators at different days. Three operators told me, "It takes three days to refund the money back" (First two operators with bad attitude when I asked why, their answers were, "don't know," and when I requested talking with their manager, they responded by hanging up the phone so I made three calls that same day). The fourth one told me, "Money would be refunded after one week." The last two persons said, "Money would be back to the card on day eleven." Finally the money was back on my card on day twelve. I am confused.
First, I believe I am not only & first one who had this problem. Who can tell me how many people and how much money they are holding from us everyday (how much interest are they making)? Second, is the Walmart card company not making a clear policy or had representatives been trained that they should carry bad attitude at work?
Next, there is a different price in reloading fee. I tried reloading $1000 to my card at Walmart store. The teller asked me to pay $3.74 reloading fee first (on the wall in the store and Walmart Money Card website, it was $3.00). So, I walked away from the teller (she was a manager), made a call to Customer Service and got the answer, "$3.00 reloading fee anywhere any amount anytime." Okay, I got back to the same teller. She told me I can't reload any amount money to my temporary card before receiving the original card with my name on that. This is not only confusing now. I asked myself, "Why would I waste my money and my time coming here to let them ** me off? Am I sick or do I have mental problem?"
My card has been blocked two times in three days after I received the original card and charged $3.00 services fee by Walmart card company. When I called, they told me on the phone that they will close my account on 10/17/2012 - one week later from now but till now I never received any email from Walmart Money Card to confirm this info. The reason? I had used this card, paid my ads fee on the public website. The person removed the block for me today said to me, "I suggest you don't use this card to pay your ads anymore; otherwise, we will block your card again before closing your account."
What did I do wrong that they insult me like this? "Use it everywhere MasterCard Debit or Visa Debit is accepted." - that's the ad on Walmart Money Card (reloadable prepaid card) webpage. Now I have loaded my own money on the card, but I have to spend it where they allow me to do so. Is here still American land or does it belong to Nazis now? Please, somebody tell me.

Wal-Mart reported on my credit report for one late payment, which was not my fault. I signed up for paperless and did not receive a bill or email, and now my credit score went down so a thirty-dollar late fee on fourteen dollars. Payment due goes up once you have a late fee (rip-off), not to mention 22.90% interest. Warning to anyone in line at Wal-Mart, do not take the credit card they offer you while in line to pay. This is how Wal-Mart cares, for themselves - that is all.

I had just had $600 worth of charges on my Walmart card made in the Dominican Republic and GE retail bank refuses to do anything about it. I was told that since this is a prepaid credit card, I'm out of luck. These charges were pending when I found them on my card transaction and GE still would not reverse the charges. They can see that I only have one card and that at the time the charges were made, I was also making purchases on my card in Kansas. I can't be two places at once. These charges in the Dominican Republic look like they were made at gas stations over and over again. I don't know how anyone in the Dominican would have gotten my card info. I don't shop online and I always use my pin number. If I'd known this card was not safe to use, I would have never gotten it. I will never use this type of card ever again and would advise that no one else use it. They are not safe.

I paid $5 for a Wal-Mart money card. I loaded money then read the rules. There's not much listed and they're pretty self explanatory, I thought. I used it for PayPal and transferred funds from my husband's bank to the money card and paid $3. I used it again. Now, I direct deposit and use it. Later on, same day, I used it again and it's declined. Why? I have nearly $200 on it! I called to find out they declined it because I used it. This doesn't make sense to me. After spending a fair amount of time with the agent, it was explained to me that although it's not written anywhere the public can read, they can and will cancel your card if they choose to because you used it. Now I want the money back that's mine. I'm told that I'm out the $5 for the useless card and it will take over one week to get my own money back. They can FedEx it at my $20 expense. What a scam! Lesson learned: Never buy a useless card that doesn't have regulated rules. To top it off, they regret to inform me that I will no longer be able to have a Wal-Mart card or a Green Dot card. You can see how sad I am.

Walmart Discover Card (866-611-1148) Supervisor Customer No Service, Rhonda, placed a hold on our credit card whenever two or more of my family use it. Latest instance was that they refuse to lift the fraud R alert when I called with all of the pertinent information about our account such as SSN, phone, age, birthday, etc. because I am authorized, but not the primary. They declined $8 burger. They would not make me primary, will not allow a pass code, will not allow me to talk with Customer Retention, Billing, etc. when I needed to have it authorized to check into hotel and my wife was out of cell range. They would not allow me to cancel the card either. They deactivated my online account. They think they are providing a service, but they are making it too difficult to deal with them, so I had my wife cancel our account. Another unreasonable policy cost a previously satisfied high credit score customer for a credit card company that does not care about retaining customers. Luckily, I carried enough cash to check into hotel.

I have had a horrible experience with Wal-Mart Money Card that the public needs to know about. I am blogging about it and you should do something about it. Most of it goes: Warning! If you never want to see your paycheck money, put it on a Wal-Mart Money card or Lord forbid on direct deposit. Your will never see any of your paycheck money in cash ever again! I had a Wal-Mart Money Card for a couple of years and used it sporadically and it worked okay. Recently when my bank started charging a lot of fees and held my auto deposits over the weekend, I started my direct deposit going on the Wal-Mart Money Card. Suddenly there are two unknown online charges on my card, the robot-like Asian customer service people could not answer my questions because it was not on their script. They could not tell me where the charges came from and they would not forward me to an American supervisor and refused to send me to the survey they offer at the end of the call and then disconnected my call. They said they could not tell me who made the first charge and could not block it (it was still pending).
I purchased another card to move my paycheck money into until I could get my direct deposit stopped. I paid $3 to open it. I received the permanent card yesterday and I received another monthly fee when I have only had the card 10 days. I called to dispute that and they did remove that second fee. However, they get you coming and going on fees unless it is an automatic deposit and then that is when your nightmare begins! Your paycheck is automatically deposited and you expect to get some cash, right? Dream on! They have policies that restrict you from getting any of your hard-earned money in cash! These people running the Wal-Mart Money Card show that now have your cash are non-American, probably Chinese because customer support is somewhere in Asia and they are using our funds to support them, because they certainly are not letting US have our money after we have made our deposit.
In order to use the money I had on my one compromised card, I had to make an online purchase (even though the unauthorized charge was from an online purchase). I did that and had the card closed. However, when the second unauthorized purchase credited me back (after I called them and said it was unauthorized), I can’t get that money and Wal-Mart Money Card refuses to transfer it to my new card I bought because of the unauthorized charges. They said they had to send me a check for the balance checks in the mail. Yeah right, we will see if that happens. After I had my auto-deposit transferred to my replacement card, I went to get a money order for my house payment and some cash. Customer service said they could do the money order but I could not access my payroll deposit and get cash, as it is against their policy.
After all this, my direct deposit finally ended and I had a balance of $24.25 on my card. I wanted nothing more than to clear that balance and close that card. Guess what? I could not! I went to Wal-Mart, tried to make a purchase of $44, and tried to use the $24.25 balance against that as a debit and it would not take it, denied. I tried to use it as a credit and it wouldn’t take it, denied. I went to customer service to see if they could make it happen, they could not, denied, even though the available balance said $24.25. They could not give me cash back, denied. They couldn’t run it as a debit or a credit even though they clearly had printed notice that I had $24.25 available.
I called the Asian customer service from their phone in customer service and was told by the non-American I had a temporary card, as it said on their script (which I did not, they obviously did not know what I was talking about. They are Chinese after all). I asked for an American supervisor and put on hold for 15 minutes until they hung up. I wanted to call back but the Wal-Mart customer service desk said they could not tie up their only phone line with my calls to the Wal-Mart Money Cards customer service and stated they have no control over any of that because they are not affiliated with them in any way, had nothing to do with the Wal-Mart Money Card people and made many apologies to that effect.
The only way I was able to spend the $24.25 of my last payroll deposit was to pay it online against a utility bill, which I did and so far, they have not denied it. I don’t know anyone that needs that much hassle to get access to their paycheck! Wal-Mart is using the American public’s direct deposits to subsidize whatever support they are giving to China. Your deposit on a Wal-Mart Money Card is going to foreigners to use to collect the interest and make investments from with our hard-earned money overseas! Wal-Mart is un-American for allowing that to happen! They don’t even support their widely advertised money cards and direct deposits. Their customer service people, when pushed, say they have nothing to do with the Wal-Mart Money Cards. Your deposits are going directly into who-know-whose bank and you will never see them again. Plus, the cards don’t work everywhere. Try buying gas at midnight at Maverick. It’s not going to happen with this Wal-Mart Money Card. It’s a pain and could be life threatening in the dead of a Wyoming winter night with no gas to get you home!
All Americans beware of Wal-Mart money cards. Wal-Mart is undermining the financial stability of America with these actions and should be stopped. This coming from a 12-year Wal-Mart supporter (when you move from the city to rural Wyoming, driving 60 miles to Wal-Mart is the only place you can get groceries, home improvement, auto supplies and kids clothes all at once).

When I called to report it missing, they said to call back at another time. When I called to cancel because we never received the card, I heard a canned message while waiting that said I would be asked to take a survey afterwards. I cancelled the card, but no survey came on. I checked online to see my balance that I owed and it said I owed 611 dollars. It also said that my minimum payment due was 52 dollars. I only paid 45 dollars on the 1st, so I paid another 7 dollars. When I called to get my balance on the fifth of July, my balance was now 639 dollars after I paid 52 dollars last month. I was questioning how I could owe more on my card in July than I did in June when I paid 52 dollars in June. So I called customer service and they told me that because I paid my bill early, I was charged with a late fee. What kind of business penalizes a customer for paying their bill early? I have made a complaint to the BBB and would like an answer as to why you are charging late fees for people who pay their bills early. They should do something like compensate a customer by fixing their credit or for causing a customer financial loss. It is not fair that they can get away with this.

On 5-25-2012, I loaded $1000 on my Walmart card. And yesterday, I checked the card and some of the transactions were off. Today, I checked my balance online and it showed I had -$65.00 & -$69.00. First of all, how can you have a negative balance from a debit card? If the funds are not there, the card will decline. I called Walmart customer service and that representative was very nice. She said that she will submit this to another department because the charges are all for the same day at the location 2 and 3 times. It looks like credit card abuse! So, beware customers, about adding money to the Walmart cards! Keep your receipt that shows your balance! They are stealing money out of accounts! I have been a long time Walmart MoneyCard customer, and if this is not taken care of correctly, I will have to end the relationship.

I request a credit increase from Wal-Mart. I was paying my bill on time even early and multiple times during the month. I received a denial letter stating no increase, but my credit limit was reduced. I had $250.00 available and I had a $700 limit. Wal-Mart reduced my limit to a point where my card is almost maxed out and that will reflect on my credit report. I now have $2 available and a $540 limit. If I did not ask for the increase, my limit would have never been reduced. This is in violation of the FCRA 2010 (data mining) as seen on the news on channel 4 in Dallas, Texas, which aired on 4/15/2012 at 9:45 pm. I never had an issue with paying my bill. I purchased a Wal-Mart money card in order to have my paychecks directly deposited and be able to have faster, easier access to my funds. This was around November 2011. I didn't have any problems with paying online bills or making online purchases until Feb 2012. At this point, I went online to check my balance and found 2 fraudulent charges from out of the country. Now mind you, they were for odd amounts, around 40 and 20 plus dollars apiece. Still it's my money and I don't care if its 2 dollars, I don't want someone stealing from me. The companies that I received these charges for were not even legitimate companies. Therefore, there was no contact phone number to contact them with.
I was told by a customer service rep, I would receive refund of the monies, which I have yet to receive. I was issued a new card immediately which I had trouble activating. Now today, I check my balance again on the new card. Lo and behold, there was another fraudulent charge in the amount of $21.78 from a limousine service. On the date in question, I did not even use the card and furthermore, limousine services never charge that little for any service! Again, there is no contact phone number and I have a feeling it is out of the country again.
I am beyond frustrated and ready to cancel this card and never get another. The only problem is my paycheck is set to be directly deposited this Friday. I am beyond disgusted with this company and have a mind to never do business with the MoneyCard or the store again!

Unfortunately, that card was stolen and I had to contact Wal-Mart’s customer service to order a new card. The service department lied to me several times about exactly when I would receive this card. It took almost two weeks. Then, when I activated my replacement card, I did not have any funds available in my account for use. I have called them numerous times over the period of two more weeks and I still do not have my funds. Every time I call in, I get informed that the last representative has lied to me about their policies and I am told a completely new policy by a new representative. It has now been a month. I have my replacement card, but I still have no deposit.

On December 1, 2011, I placed a deposit with my Wal-Mart prepaid debit card for some dental work. Due to work and travel constraints, I canceled the application in March of 2012 The clinic cheerfully refunded the deposit of $1000. to my Wal-Mart Money Card, the same card I paid the deposit with. The refund transaction appeared as a credit adjustment, a perfectly normal banking transaction when a refund is issued and posted back against the card the original transaction originated from. Since I used that card for normal day to day expenses and business due to its convenience, imagine my horror when my card was declined and all funds frozen because of a perfectly normal transaction!
I still have no access to my funds and have bills to pay. This is not right. I have sent to Green Dot all supporting documentation of the purchase. What bothers me is if the disputed transaction was frozen, I could deal with that until resolved but no! They froze the whole account. Not very cool. I will wait to see if someone in the RIM call center can now with the correct documentation get access back to over $3K of my funds To the guys in Bentonville, this card has your brand on it and its service reflects on it. If I get this fixed, I will post that to and be fair. But I'm PO'd ever so much!

I already had a Wal-Mart Credit Card and a cashier asked me if I wanted to upgrade my current card to a new Wal-Mart Discovery Credit Card. The difference is that my old credit card did not have a Discovery logo which I could only use at Wal-Mart stores, but the new Discovery Wal-Mart Credit Card could be use anywhere. Once I received the new Discovery Wal-Mart Credit Card, I started using it because the old one was no longer useful. 3 months later, I got a call from Wal-Mart collectors that I'm past due on my account. I have been current with my payments up until today, but they told me that the payments are up to date with the Discovery Wal-Mart Credit Card not with my old Wal-Mart Credit Card.
When I called Wal-Mart services, I found out that I have two credit cards with Wal-Mart. So the old card that supposed to be an upgrade was not, and so now I have to send a payment to Wal-Mart Discovery and to my old Wal-Mart Credit Card account because I apparently have two accounts and two balances. I am so aggravated by finding out that what they offer me was not what I got. After seeing the posters and advertisement from Wal-Mart about how it's easier and faster to get your income tax check faster if you have it directly deposited to one of their money cards, I called the center and specifically asked would I be ale to withdraw at least $3000.00 cash immediately. I was told I could only get $400.00 a day from the ATM, but if I went into any bank, the cashier would be able to get the money even if she had to get it in amounts of $400.00 at a time. So I decided to have my refund put on my money card. I have not used this card in months. I do not have a checking account and I am in need of my money fast.
Now, the nightmare begins. My funds were deposited on Feb. 8, 2012. On Saturday, 2/11/12, I went to the money center and they told me the most I could get is $400. On Monday, I went to Cadence Bank. They too told me $400 was the limit. I went home and called the number on the card. I first talked to Rick then went through a series of people and levels I finally made it to management. I didn't get his name and I had been on hold for 50 minutes. After hearing what I had to say, he agreed to send me a check via FedEx for the full amount of $5572.00. It's Thursday and no check, and my account balance is now $5570. They have already charged me $11.00 in fees.since the original deposit.
To me Wal-Mart, GE and Green Dot are making a lot of money by holding tax money that people have worked hard all year to get. They are a fraud and something needs to be done and the gov't should know that this company is not allowing people access to their money.

I have only included the charges that were fraudulent. I called about this matter when I arrived home from work the afternoon of August 11th at 4:30PM and reported the card compromised. The VISA Walmart Moneycard Representative claimed she did not know who they were and had no telephone information about them. I was then told it was my responsibility to call the merchants. I responded with a statement that I was a victim of a credit card scam with their fraudulent tactic to collect interest from customers when they find out the indirect way of not informing that you can not cancel and not being told that you are being billed for the initial payment.
This is the biggest scam I have paid twice. Once, with my credit card and was told I was cleared only to be billed later with more interest to be told after investigating that my card was invalid it was the same visa debit card that I used when I initiated service. I have a Walmart credit card. I made a substantial payment (paid in full) on August 4, 2011. I went shopping on August 11, 2011 and my card was declined while I was in line. I had to get out of line, go to customer service, and call the number on the back of the card.
I did so, and the lady on the other line told me that there was a hold on my card that it would not clear until tomorrow and that there was nothing she could do. I had to pay for my now defrosting groceries with the remaining balance of the card and the rest with my debit card (which was to pay bills).
So, I went home and called 1800 Walmart to make a complaint. They told me that I had to call 1-866-611-0048 and ask for a supervisor. So this is what I did. When I was transferred to a supervisor, I tried to explain to him that I made the payment, that it has cleared my bank but it is money that I am unable to use. He then told me that the funds will be available tomorrow. This is not helping me today when I needed the groceries, and the fact that I won't be able to shop tomorrow as I have a job and have to go to work.
So, my complaint is that I can make a substantial payment (over $500) and Walmart can hold it for over a week so that I can not use it, but when I am late on a payment they are so fast to charge me a late fee. Can I charge them a fee for making me wait? I had to call and make arrangements with my electric company so that I can pay for the groceries today where I should have been able to use the card for. It's not like I can use the Walmart card tomorrow to pay my electric bill, now can I?
Where is the convenience of having a card if I can not use it? Why would I even use it if it is not even worth my time and effort? I pay my bill on time and pay it in full so that I don't get charged fees and I am still getting treated like crap!

After 2 times of me spelling it out and giving an example of each letter in my name, she still spelled my name wrong and then told me my name will not match up with my S.S. Number. I asked her to transfer me to a supervisor.
Thinking that they might understand me better, however the supervisor only got to advise me that the other lady that had transferred me to her had refund my $500.00 and I would have to wait 10 days to get my refund. So I went back to Walmart and they did try to help me, by calling the company only to find that they could not get anything done because when they entered the card info, it told them there was a refund issued and then the system hung up on them.
I needed my money today, not in 10 days. I have bills that have to be paid now. Walmart did tell me that if the Visa company had not put the refund or hold on, they could have refunded my money. So now I am $500.00 in the whole and no bills paid. The Walmart Money card will not correct this in a timely manner. I will call every part of Walmart and I might even get me a lawsuit.
Walmart has gone downhill in customer service, they need to stand behind the products they sell by being able to fix these situations when the purchaser has proper document that shows proof of purchase. I need that money to pay this bill now. So I called the number on the back of the Walmart card and followed the procedures and finally was able to speak with a representative of the company. I explained the situation and after being transferred 7 times, I was disconnected.
So I called again and explained again to the person on the phone and he put me on hold and then said there was nothing they could do except issue me a refund in 10 days. I explained to him that I was not made of money, that I needed to pay a bill with that money. He said sorry about that so I asked to speak with his supervisor, and then about every ten minutes, he returned to the line saying a rep was not yet available. After 4 times, I was hung up on.
So then I proceeded to call again and when I entered my info, it came back with a recording saying a refund check was issued, that I should receive it in 10 days and then hung up. So then I called the local Walmart store where I purchased the card and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor and was given a very helpful woman, the assistant manager. She tried to contact them; she received the same results as myself and told me she could not refund my money until the card company said it was okay and loaded the card.
So I attempted to call again and luckily got through and spoke with a different rep and she pretty much said the same thing, that they would not load the card so Walmart could refund my money. It was against policy that I would receive a refund in ten days so I asked her why the card could not be loaded with the money I put on it. She said it was because I made a mistake on my info. As I was walking out the door, a man came up to me and said that he works for for Walmart security and he needed to ask me a question and if I could come with him.
I didn't think anything of it and said okay. He led me to the back of the store with some blonde. When I got to the back, they asked for my receipt and told me that I didn't purchase my items because the lady saw me put laundry detergent under my cart. ( I was 9 months pregnant at the time and I had my 1 yr old with me also). I asked her where she puts her detergent and she didn't answer. She was very rude to me. They told me that I stole all the items in my cart. (I did not steal anything from Walmart). I told them over and over again that it was a big misunderstanding and that I did in fact pay for my items.
They told me that I needed to have someone come get my child or OCS would take her. (I called my husband and he came up there about 30 minutes later.) They gave me no information on what is going on except that I had stolen all the items in the cart, which again I did not. They ended up calling the police and had me arrested and they told me I was not allowed at Walmart anywhere in the US again. I was arrested and taken to the jail to be processed and I ended up spending $75 to make bail, on top of the almost $300 groceries that they say I stole, which I never received.

Wal-Mart billing representatives called my house, harassing my family repeatedly even after my family told them that I was ill. I had paid my bill on-time for years. It got to the point where my sister had to bring my cell phone to the nursing for me, the call only to be treated as if I was no-one. My past amount due was $37.00. Wal-Mart that wasn't fair. I have closed my account and I will never shop in your store or online.
By the way, I made my past due payment tonight. As of now, I am disabled and can't leave my home.

This is my question. How can a person be denied a $500 credit card with this bank, the same person has a $51,000 in savings in the bank? Yes, $51,000.00 Chase bank. This is **/ignorant and arrogant on the business of this bank and the credit manager of GE Money Bank. Due to the fact on your part, now I have a negative/note on my credit because every time any bank do a negative report, it shows.
If you do not want to give credit and check for more information on the person applying for credit, my suggestion is to close the bank and stop ruining other people's credit. This really **, but it's okay because from on, if anybody asks me to apply for credit in Walmart or if any other person asks me, I will tell how ** this bank is when it comes to credit cards.

I recently received my monthly credit card statement and was surprised to find that I was being charged a finance charge and a late fee for January’s statement. I knew I had wrote out a check 1/15/10 and sent in my payment, so right away I knew there was a problem. The statement listed $0.00 for last payment so I went to my banking files and sure enough 1/19/10 on my bank statement check was electronically converted and cashed by Walmart. When I called customer service and explained the mistake, I was told to send a copy of the cancelled check to Walmart Research Roswell, GA. When I explained there was no cancelled check because Walmart converted my check to electronic payment, I was informed that I had to go to my bank and get forms from them to prove I made payment. I commute to work 90 miles roundtrip each day and work a ten-hour shift each day. My bank is not opened on weekends so I have to miss work during the week to visit my bank. This is a great inconvenience for a proven good customer with long history of good credit, shopping at Walmart.
This whole problem wouldn't exist if Walmart kept record/microfilm of the hard copy check with my address and name clear as a bell. Now I have to miss work at my job because Walmart didn't do their job. Their payment processing procedure does not protect their customers. In fact, there is a big flaw if Walmart’s mistakes become their customers’ problems. I am seriously contemplating canceling my account over the whole way this issue has been handled. I asked them again, "Where is the copy of my check that was written on 1/15/10 and electronically converted and deposited by Walmart on 1/19/10?”

Due to unrelated scam I was taken in by, my credit scores are less than desirable. For this reason, I am having difficulty purchasing a home. I have recently dove into all options to raise my credit score and was so proud of my efforts. I paid four credit card balances down to less than 35% of the credit limit, which was done solely to improve my credit score. I tried to use my Wal-Mart credit card today and was denied. I call customer service and they said that my credit line had been decreased due to my poor credit scores.
I have been a customer for 11 years and have made all my payments on time. I pay a rate of 29.99% annually, and if I would have continued to pay the minimum monthly payment, my line would not have been decreased and they would have continued to make 29.99% interest off my balance for years to come. I was informed that I was notified in writing of this, but have not received this letter yet. I'm terribly disgusted that this is the way I'm treated after 11 years of being a customer. I want to close my account, but this too will hurt my credit score. I feel helpless and when I try to do the right things by paying off my debt, I'm only penalized further. I was told that I could contact the risk department when I received the letter.

I received a Wal-Mart Money Card from a relative for my birthday. The card had an amount of $50 loaded onto it. I called to activate the card and the automated machine began to ask for personal information such as DOB, Social Security Number, etc. I thought this to be odd to open a card that was supposed to be a gift card. I attempted numerous times, and ways to speak to a person but because the card was not activated, I was not allowed to speak to anyone, without providing my information to open an account, which I did not want. After an hour and a half I gave up.
The next day, I went to the local Wal-Mart store for assistance. The lady that I spoke with in Customer Service made the phone call and through many different channels, finally made contact with a person, although she was having a very difficult time speaking with her due to the language barrier. The clerk explained to the rep the situation, and I was notified that this was the same thing as a re-loadable credit card, and once the money on it was used up, I could re-load it, but was under no obligation to keep it. I agreed to go ahead and do this so my relative was not out $50, as I was also told that it could not be transferred over to an actual gift card. This was around January 20, 2010. I used the card a few weeks ago. I called to verify the balance and it was in the area of $18.00. I purchased dog food which was approximately $14.50 including tax which should have left a couple of dollars. I called on February 5, 2010 to check the balance, and was provided with information that there was an overdraft of $0.40.
I got Marie on the phone with Customer Service through the Money Card number. She said that the fees were assessed on February 1, 2010, and I had been misinformed at the store. I explained to her that since it was not my fault, and a miscommunication between the store and the company that the money should be refunded to the account, and I should not be charged anything. She told me that was not possible. I then demanded to speak with a supervisor. After a brief hold time, Marie came back to the line and told me that the supervisor agreed to credit the balance back to the card. I told her that I then wanted the card closed, after the last amount was used. I was told that I would have to call back and request that, and that charges would be assessed again next month. I told her to forget the extra money, they could have it and to close the account now since I did not have time to keep calling back. When the card was activated, I was told that I would be receiving a permanent card in the mail, and if I chose not to use it or activate it, cut it up and the account would automatically close without any additional charges.
I feel that this is poor business practices on Wal-Mart's part and that this needs to be looked into. If they are going to have these cards available, they need to have something in place advising customers that these are re-loadable, and require personal information on the part of the customers, in order to activate it. I, nor did my brother, saw nothing to this effect, on the packaging. I did not want a credit card account opened in my name, as I do not use credit cards, and I feel that I was forced in the situation, or cause my brother to lose out $50.00. Their customer service department on these cards definitely leave something to be desired. This caused additional frustration and stress to me in addition to what I was already under. The language barrier is unacceptable, and so is their indifference and lack of common courtesy.

I was never informed that they have a maximum amount for direct deposit. I have been a customer for 2 years and there was nothing in the cardholder agreement stating there is a maximum deposit of $7500. I was told by 4 different customer service reps that "yes, my deposit made by the US Army would be accepted" to "it would not be." I have been receiving direct deposits from the army for over a year while my husband was deployed and he was due his bonus for service. They are going to reject the bonus and send it back to the Army (DFAS) and it may take another month to have the money deposited into a new account.

We bought a Walmart Debit/Visa Card, but it is the first time and last as well, since we had so many difficulties getting it activated its asked for so many requirements. We were never told we had to fax the ID we showed when we bought it wich no one asked us for any king of ID. That and also the worst of all is that we can't use the card they said it is active but it declines everytime we try using it the only time it went through was to PAY them to use their own customer service, because there is a $2 fee for speaking with them to fix their own mess. And to get a refund for our own monye, which we paid cash for, they are charging us as well.
We have to wait to get the refund for our money which is going to be alot less due to them charging us for everything, we haven't even been able to use the card for the purpose we needed it for and still we are getting less money back due to all their own charges.

Weeks before Wards filed bankruptcy, a charge for a service contract renewal was placed on our Wards credit card. As soon as the bill arrived, we called Wards to tell them that we had not authorized the charge and to remove it. We were told that the company was in banruptcy and that this would be investigated. Next we received a bill from Wal-Mart saying they had bought the credit cards from Wards and we now owed them for the service contract we never autorized a renewal for.
This was rapidly follwed by a letter from Monogram Credit Card Bank of Georgia which says we can try and cancel the contract and receive a partial refund but that we will owe the difference. So now, Wal-Mart wants payment for something I never autorized or purchased by Wards, which is now bankrupt and it appears that Monogram Credit Card Bank of Georgia also wants payment.

I have had a Wards credit card for 5 years or more and always kept in good standing. When Wards filed bankruptcy, Wal-Mart took over accounts to be handled by Monogram Credit Card Bank of GA. A letter dated March 12, 2001 was received by me stating "while some Wards accounts will be provided with additional utility, we are unable to extend this utility to your account due to technical impediments in our system. However, your Wards credit card may still be used for new purchases at Thrifty rent-a-car, Shop at Home catalog, and for signature products/services and insurance until further notice.
I called the 800 number and spoke to "Noah" who informed me this meant Monogram Bank would not be issuing me a Wal-Mart card. I indicated to him that constituted a denial of credit to me and i was not given a valid reason, nor was I told the reporting agency so that I could review my credit history. During the conversation when I became agitated and was demanding a proper denial, he mentioned EQUIFAX and I requested a letter be sent to me with a proper credit denial. Unfortunately, I did not make a notation of the date but do know it has been close to 2 weeks since I called.
I emailed my dissatisfaction to Wal-Mart and received a reply about a week ago, indicating the complaint had been forwared to the proper person. If Monogram Bank does not wish to extend credit to me, that is fine. All I am asking is that I be given a legal reason for the denial as pertains to the Federal Equal Credit Oppurtunity Act. I have friends that received a Wal-Mart credit card who have had late payments. How do I with an A#1 credit record with Wards get denied credit without the proper notice.

I received a Wal-Mart card in replacement of my Wards charge card. I was never asked if I agreed to this. I have already canceled the Walmart credit card; however I received a bill for the balance that was on my Wards charge. I refuse to pay any amount that will go on my credit report as a transaction paid to a Walmart Credit card. Even if I write the check to Wards with my old Wards credit card number, I know the transaction will be attached to the Walmart credit card number. I didn't ask for the card and I don't want it on my credit report.
Why was I not contacted by Monogram Bank to discuss my options to close out my Wards account before Walmart paid for the rights to roll over my balance? I will not make a payment that is charged to that Walmart Credit Card. If I have another credit card currently open with Monogram Bank as the bank, I will be more than happy to pay the balance on one of those cards. My balance is a mere $40.00, but I never asked for a Walmart card and will not make a transaction on a Walmart card. I have called many different numbers and there is no one who can resolve this matter. Any assistance would be appreciated.
Linda needs to pay up. Wards' accounts receivable are an asset that were transferred to Wal-Mart. She can certainly decline to accept the Wal-Mart card but she is obligated to pay the $40.

Even if I have submitted my payment to this institution, they make it appear as if it has arrived late. Late charges are in the amount of $25.00, $25.00 that is not owed them. Another of my problems with them is, that even though I called them and requested a change of due dates, which they said they would grant, it has not been implemented. And that was several months ago. My third problem with them is, that they do not send an itemized statement of charges, and my account never seems to go down even though I have not used my card. I had requested that this be done too, also to no avail!
I have shopped in WalMart since the day it opened here. I love the store, as it has everything that I need, at affordable prices. They always provide me with excellent and courteous service. So when I applied for their credit card, I expected the same from the services from their designated company! Unfortunately, MCCBG is giving WalMart a bad name, where credit is concerned. I have had to tell friends not to apply for credit there, because of the way MCCBG handles their accounts.
Not providing me with the facts of my account, has left me feeling that I am being cheated. Charging me $25.00 for "late fees", for payments that I know they received on time, has me furious, and exudes additional mistrust. I have even asked for the due date to be changed, and they had said they would do so. Not changing my due date, has really left me feeling that they are in the business to make it impossible for its customers to escape late penalties!
All of this aggravation and mistrust has left me very upset. I am not a person who makes it a habit of lodging complaints against my creditors. In fact, this is the first time for me. So please take my complaint into serious evaluation, and hopefully I will sleep without worry once again. We have other creditors, but none that conduct themselves in what appears to be such a cut-throat manner.

It was the beginning of the Holiday season and I started out in Wal-Mart of West Palm Beach. When I entered the Wal-Mart a fast talking man grabbed me by the arm and said I should complete the application for a credit card. He said "eveyone's approved" and I questioned him because I have had a considerable amount of deliquent credit in 1997 after the collapse of my business. My loan counselor told me to avoid filling out credit applications because it will show up as an inquiry on my credit report and lower my Beacon score.
The man was very assertive and "promised" me that I would get approved for a Wal-Mart card. So I sat down and filled out the application with the hopes of obtaining a Wal-Mart card and being able to establish some new credit to report on my record. Today, the first day after Christmas, I finally received a notice from Monogram Credit Card bank of Georgia saying that I was turned down for credit due to past credit obligations. I have tried contacting Monogram to no avail. They "flat out" lied to me with a straight and sincere face.
