U.S. Gold Bureau Reviews

I've been buying from US Gold Bureau for 10 years. I've bought a lot of gold, platinum, palladium and silver from them. I also have a Sigma Metalytics analyzer and I can tell you I've never tested a fake from them. Their metal is legit and often they have the lowest price for bullion. Having said all that, I'll tell you the risk is purchasing their collector grade metal especially gold. They claim values I have never found for the ones I bought. Never. Their buy back policy only pays 85% of the value. I think it's the value of the original price but I'm not sure as I haven't sold back any of it yet.

The price was fair in comparison to two other major dealers, Money & Kitco. The order arrived within the expected time. I bought gold bullion as a hedge to inflation and as an alternative asset. USGB are knowledgeable and fair.. When buying gold, get an Assay Card with it.

In 2019 I bought a 2019 $1 Silver American Eagle Reverse S-Mint "Ed Moy" PF70. Salesman said PF70 “Ed Moy” coins have low mintage so demand and value are higher than the MS70 coin. Said since being minted, the coin has already increased 46% (roughly). And so much more that is on recording. In June 2025 I learned he lied and told me half-truths.

I lost over 4k on the 'proof sets'. The broker lied to me saying that they grow more in value because they are 'proof'. It's not true. It's a lie. Gold has went way up since early 2022 and I could only get just under spot price. So the whole being 'proof' meant nothing. I paid above what gold was at the time and the nerve of the broker to still charge a fee. I lost 4k on his worthless advice. He knew what he was doing. All the companies do this. Please people don't fall for this lie. Yes some coins hold and or grow in value because of what they are so why didn't mine! The answer is because the brokers get you coming and going. It's rigged and people get taken advantage of all the time.

Mrs. Rhonda ** gave me better customer care and service than personnel in 7 different gold & silver marketing companies with whom I have recently spoken. Rhonda offered their "Specials', gave me good clear advice and answered all of my questions. She did not push me to buy anything, which demonstrated her genuine heart-to-help and serve attitude. US Gold Bureau does NOT have a $10,000 minimum purchase requirement, which shows they help the little investor. They also has the most competitive prices. I appreciate, recognize and recommend US Gold Bureau for their professional company policies and procedures and Mrs. Rhonda ** for her GREAT customer service.

Initial silver investor looking at spot price deals at several companies. Of the six companies that provided spot price silver for 1st time customers, U.S. Gold Bureau provided the worst 10 oz silver bar at spot ($332.00). It had several blemishes, stains, and scratches. I certainly will not buy silver or any precious metal from this company. Buyer beware!

I bought a 2021 Gold Eagle Set of Gold Proof Coins signed by Ed ** as the salesman. Explained what a "Great" buyback program they have. Well 3 1/2 yrs later I needed to sell and called them to be told that they treat it like a 5 yr Bond and would only give me HALF Market Value! Deceitful, Crooked Company that I will NEVER do business with again and I would advise others to go elsewhere as Nationwide has a Great buyback program as well as SD Bullion and Money Metals.

They answered all my many questions and made the transition of opening an account with the Gold Bureau very easy. They will walk you thru each step!! We have been using USGB since 2019. After years of discussing about investing in precious metals, my husband and I decided to look further into investing. So glad we did! What a wonderful and knowledgeable staff they have! We've always had exceptional and prompt service with all our transactions. When we have had questions, they've had answers to those questions. If you have any doubts, just call and speak with a metals specialist. They will work up a plan that fits your needs!

They call me every year and it's exhausting to talk to them. They don't answer simple questions; like watching those people not answer questions at congressional hearings. They are evasive and duplicitous.

In the very beginning of my search for a reputable gold provider, I called and spoke to the top 10 gold companies. Most of them, did not listen to my needs and turned it into their sales call. It was completely different when I spoke to Ben at U.S. Gold Bureau. When I explained my purpose on buying gold and silver, he not only actively listened to what I had to say but helped educate me and qualify my exact needs. I purchased some gold and silver from the US Gold Bureau and thought I would receive my product. The money was paid by debit card, but I received an email saying my order had been canceled. I asked why and was told they didn't have any reason because a third party(Signifyd) declined the sale so I contact the third party and they said to have US Gold contact them (signifyd) so back on the phone to US Gold only to be told they would not contact signifyd and they would not sell me anything, and no reason why. Now even if they said they will sell me gold, I would never do any business with them. I only hope they issue me a refund so I don't have to sue them.

US Gold Bureau contacted me and we resolved the issue in a positive manner. I appreciate their efforts and I'm satisfied with them as a partner in my precious Metals Rollover.

Be very careful and do your research before you consider this product. They are quick to take your money for metals, but they are very slow to send your money when you exit and sell back the gold/silver.

I've repeatedly found that U.S. Gold Bureau has the lowest prices on the internet on many bullion products. I ordered a gold bar (using ACH) at a very good price. One of their salespeople left a voice mail saying they needed to verify my address before sending it. When I called, I ended up in a very long, rambling but moderately interesting sales pitch for their "investment grade" numismatic products. It was informative, and the salesman was friendly and earnest, and he kept saying something like "I just ask you to trust me 1% and I'll earn the rest!". However, as he talked I was googling the products he was trying to sell and discovered that USGB's prices on these products are roughly 1.8x the going rate. Also found many admonitions not to get involved in numismatic investing unless you know what you're doing (which had been my gut feeling about it to begin with).

US Gold Bureau is actually a part of Texas Bullion Depository located in the same building. I tried to cash out a major portion of my metals located at TBD and was told I had to wait 9 days before I could get my cash. Today is day 10 and I have not heard a word. I emailed them this morning and was told I had to wait another 9 days!!! DO NOT USE either Texas Bullion Depository or US Gold Bureau. I hope I'll be able to get my money out someday!!

ON 9/10/20 I transferred part of my stock IRA to cash.US Gold Gureau has since transferred to Strata Trust most of the correct coins. However the 2 sets of 2020 American proof gold eagle sets contained some coins from the wrong year (where is their quality control), AS of 11/30/20 they have not corrected their error.

This Silver bar was STOLEN Inside the Georgetown Post Office, NOT the first time in the past 2 weeks. I have had about 40% of my purchases shipped through USPS Stolen or gone missing, same thing. I communicated this to one of your sales folks and got Absolutely NO response. I tried to post this on your site as you asked, review the transaction & that FAILED, as either your site is Broken or you disabled me. I live 12 miles from you and had offered to come get it. Why would I ever go through this again. USPS is NOT a reliable shipper. Neither is UPS/APES. If you think I want to waste a month of my time, just to work my butt off to attempt to get my money back (which I spent to get Silver, not just get my money back), you're CLUELESS & CARELESS. Now tell me why I should buy more from you.

My metals were always received in a timely and orderly fashion. There’s always someone you can talk to if you have questions. They’re really informative about the market and their products. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking to start investing in precious metals.

I ordered brand new 2020 platinum coins with deep abrasions in my coins. Most companies will warn of damaged items but this company says quickly writes it off. Customer service is lacking when compared to others. You're better off with APMEX or SILVER GOLD BULL.

When buying precious metals from online dealer it is imperative that such dealer first and foremost be of impeccable honesty and integrity. You are sending over your hard earned money for merely promise of delivery of certain product on certain time. Ethic and trustworthiness are the key components here. Ethical and trustworthy, I assure you, these guys are NOT.

In a world with very little customer service, where you are constantly being transferred to a recording or a automated system it's nice to find a company that not only gives you personal service, but actually calls you to follow up on a purchase to make sure you are happy and all your questions are answered. It's unheard of in these times. US Gold Bureau goes above and beyond expectation in customer service. If for no other reason than just the fact that they care! I would highly recommend this company for anyone that wants to purchase gold or silver or gold and silver related products. Their service is exceptional.

The staff is extremely knowledgeable on their products. They listen to what your goals are and then assist you in obtaining those goals. They never pushed me toward anything. They listen and then guide you with suggestions. I am extremely happy with the company and the products they sell.

Go anywhere else for your Bullion needs! I was deceived about the availability of particular silver bars to get my money in the door, then they tried forcing me into higher premium Bullion. Customer service was good prior to sending them money, then became terrible once they had the upper hand. USGB has fair prices, but are not the lowest, so the money you could save on certain items isn’t worth the experience you’ll have. The two things stopping me from giving them 1-star is that I got my money back after repeated calls, and that they requested me to leave feedback for my experience.

Austin is always ready to answer my questions. Being a novice gold and silver buyer I ask a lot of questions, some of them dumb, but Austin is always helpful and courteous. I feel he is giving me good suggestions on what to buy.

I have traded stocks and real estate for 36 years. I exited both those areas early last year. Research pointed to commodities as an interesting potential. I began with the standard concept of buy low and sell high or even buy high and sell higher, being interested in gold and silver bars only. I was contacted by Mr. Nathan **, U.S. Gold Bureau, who thoroughly discussed my financial circumstances, experiences investing, and risk tolerance, as well as, my preferences for bullion. Mr. ** explained bullion prices were volatile with factors affecting the value that could not be totally foreseen or evaluated. Still, as part of a long range holding ingots could add good value. He was able to cause me to understand that there is a very highly valued classification of coins of various types expected to appreciate in value with a lower risk as they are sought by collectors.

I just wish there was an exchange to easily buy and sell these coins much like the stock market. I view these coins as an investment and I feel they should trade like other investments such as stocks on an open market like the NASDAQ or NYSE. It would be very fluid and I think would survive the test of time. Let us all try to make this happen.
