How does Sanctuary Metals work?
Sanctuary Metals provides access to investing in precious metals through both cash purchases and SDIRAs. Sanctuary Metals serves clients both within the U.S. and internationally. Clients benefit from direct contact with the company owner rather than customer service agents or middlemen.
Here’s how each process works:
Cash purchases
- Explore product options: Visit the Sanctuary Metals website to browse various coin types in gold, silver, platinum and palladium.
- Choose your products: Add your selected coins to your cart and proceed by clicking the checkout button.
Complete your purchase: While you can view and purchase coins 100% online, Sanctuary Metals prefers clients to complete purchases over the phone, especially if the purchase amount exceeds $1,000.
Luke Losinsky, the CEO of Sanctuary Metals, said: "I have just found (phone purchasing) to be better for the customer. That way, we can explain which product would be best for them and their situation. Once we agree upon a product, we create an invoice for them and they can pay either by check or wire transfer while we walk them through every step."
- Receive your metals: After your purchase is confirmed, your coins can be shipped directly to you, with free shipping for all cash purchases, including international orders.
Self-directed individual retirement accounts (SDIRAs)
- Call Sanctuary Metals: Start by calling 949-861-7727, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. You can also arrange a phone appointment on a Saturday or Sunday by contacting Sanctuary Metals via email (info@sanctuarymetals.com) or online chat (available 24/7, though response times may vary).
Complete your application: Once on the phone, you’ll be directed to the website where you can fill out your application.
Losinsky, the CEO, told ConsumerAffairs: “We want to emphasize that we will be holding the customer's hand through the whole process. That way they feel comfortable and understand exactly what they're doing.”
Potential clients can also email Sanctuary Metals to request a link to the online application. However, the final setup will require a phone conversation.
- Fund your account: After your application is approved, you’ll need to provide funding for your account. Clients can roll over funds from eligible accounts, such as 401(k)s. Once the account is open, the trust company will handle the rollover paperwork and communicate with your previous custodian.

Acquiring precious metals from Sanctuary Metals was the best experience we have ever had. And, we have had many such acquisitions spanning many years. Even though our purchases were not massive, we were treated like royalty the entire time. We were not just a number but felt like we were real people and that we mattered.
Sanctuary Metals' knowledge of the market was impressive. We worked with Luke and Matt who were professional in all aspects of the transactions. For our own reasons, we processed our purchase as two different transactions and there were two different parties involved. She took that extra wrinkle in stride and carefully tracked every part of each transaction. Luke guided us through every aspect of the deal from deciding what to purchase to ensuring that we did actually receive just what we wanted. Everything proceeded flawlessly. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM Sanctuary Metals, Luke & Allen are con artist and will screw you. THE 1/2 SPECIAL SILVER GRIFFIN COINS THEY PUSH ARE WORTH A 1/2 OZ NO MORE. Don't fall for their BS. They are your best friend until you try and sell something then they won't take calls or emails. If you have already moved your IRA to them try and sell some for yourself -- you will see the BS cold shoulder, then move your IRA to another company and cut your losses.
