We have been pleased with our refinancing experience with Rocket Mortgage. Edwin ** was very helpful and answered our questions and addressed our concerns promptly. He always returned calls in a very timely manner. Everyone that I have spoken to with random questions have been knowledgeable and friendly. The person that came to our house at closing was also patient and efficient as well as friendly.

We were working with them BUT.. they string us along... They took our 500 dollars for appraisal and didn't do an appraisal and didn't tell us they were taking out 360.00 for credit report and we didn't find this out till we ask for the 500.00 back so we only got 115.00 back!!

I hate their 800 phone number; it's all a machine. I know they have almost all their services online. But when you need to speak with a real person, it's hard to reach them. Then the machine hangs up on you.

I was fooled by their fake marketing and numbers. I have 800+ credit score, excellent income, I offered a 300K collateral house paid in cash. I asked for a 100K HELOC loan as they advertise with 5.99% or a mortgage with decent rates and low closing costs. They offered me higher rates than advertised and very high closing costs. They did a hard pull on my credit to offer me something unacceptable!!! Look for a better service. My loan specialist was Danyl **. I guess she confused my information with another customer.

I am very pleased with Rocket Mortgage. I was going to go through my credit union and received the run around. From the very beginning with Rocket, my questions were answered, promptly. There was no second guessing with them, they were right on, very accurate with what was going to happen, the amounts, rates and dates. The process was swift and smooth. The team I worked with were great. Rocket was recommended to me, and I will definitely be doing the same!

I tried to talk to a person with a simple question but the phone system will not let you talk to a human. If I wanted to use the website I would. I do business with people, not a phone. I will not tell anyone to use you. I will post my experience online. I just wanted to know how to send a principal payment and not interfere with auto pay. Simple question that did not warrant 10 min. of stupidity.

Working with Rocket Mortgage was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The entire process was surprisingly stress-free, organized, and easy to understand, which made a huge difference. What stood out the most was the exceptional customer service. Michael **, was professional and genuinely willing to help. He answered questions clearly, explained each step of the process, and made sure I always knew what to expect next.
I also appreciated the transparency Rocket Mortgage provided. There were no confusing surprises or hidden details. Costs, timelines, and loan information were explained upfront in a straightforward way. Overall, Rocket Mortgage made the home financing experience far easier and less stressful than I anticipated. Our mortgage was just transferred to Rocket Mortgage from Mr. Cooper when Rocket bought out Mr. Cooper. Without my permission or us giving them our bank account information, they set our monthly mortgage payment up in auto draft. After we get paid on the 25th, we pay the mortgage ourselves, have a credit score of over 800 and have never missed a payment in anything. This time, it caused our bank account to go into the negative and we were charged several overdraft fees from our bank. When I called Rocket Mortgage, they said that when we enrolled in their online banking platform, we had to check a box saying that we did not want our payment to be auto-drafted.
Apparently, we missed that, but should have been informed more clearly that we had to unenroll, and it should have stayed the same as it’s been for the last 5 years, where we pay it ourselves as we have done without EVER missing a payment. The RM agent on the phone did apologize it said that they cannot and will not reimburse us the overdraft fees we received because of the error. Other than saying sorry, they do not care at all. As far as I know, we have been unenrolled from auto draft, but I was told the same thing last month when we called. If it happens again, I will be reporting it to the BBB and Consumer Affairs. What gets me the most is how in the world did they have my bank account information to draft the payment if we didn’t give it to them? That’s just flat out scary….

The whole process was easy and Scott was amazing to work with. He walked with me through the process and made sure I understood the details. Everything went very smoothly and quick. Response time to questions was very quick, I was kept informed throughout the whole process. My loan is closed and I am extremely happy with the results of this decision.

They bought my mortgage from Mr. Cooper which has AMAZING customer service. Rocket is nearly impossible to talk to a human. Their Robo phone maze system is completely worthless, and NO you can NOT do EVERYTHING on the website. My rate is good and website is ok to navigate but sometimes you need to TALK to A REAL PERSON and apparently Rocket does not believe in that aspect. Mr. Cooper did its customers a real disservice by selling to these hacks.

I really like the help and services I got with the people who I worked with during my refi. I got taken care of. If I didn't understand something they would take to time to explain all of it to me. I am very thankful for all the help I got and now I feel at ease with my financial outlook.

I can’t be more impressed or satisfied with the service I received. What I thought was impossible was easily attained with everyone’s help. The people made every move smooth. From applying, to home inspection, to finalizing. There was never any negativity, always positive reinforcement.

I highly recommend looking elsewhere for you mortgage needs. They may be friendly and helpful upfront to get your business, but that all changes quickly. Their customer service is chat AI or an automated phone system that bounces you around before hanging up on you. When you are able to speak to someone, they are pretty much useless and there always seems to be a "technical issue" preventing them from providing assistance. Check the BBB site for the complaints.

I just got my mortgage transferred to them. They won't let you talk to a representative and they say, "It seems we are having trouble understanding you. Thank you for calling," and hang up. They never let you speak to anyone. My mortgage is a month ahead and my escrow balance is paid ahead, yet my new bill is higher than what I was previously paying. I am upset that it can just be sold off, and companies like Rocket Mortgage don't care about their new customers.

There is no service. You cannot talk to anyone. I am the executor of an estate, and so far, I have requested a payoff 3 times and still haven't gotten one. They transfer you around until you end up back at an automated line. This company is costing this estate money every day that they willingly don't supply a payoff. Today, I got a person after an hour and a half, and then he said that the system was down for an update and no information was available. There is usually so much chatter and noise in the background of the people that you can't understand what they're saying.

I went through the entire process to do an IRRL on MY HOME. I own another home with my siblings which is completely paid off with no mortgage at all. These geniuses at Rocket processed everything and decided I needed permission from my siblings to do my IRRL on MY HOME, which they are not on...needless to say when I contacted them, they were apologetic, but totally incompetent. The next time I spoke to them they told me they were waiting for my siblings to "sign-off"...again, I explained my siblings were NOT on MY HOME. I gave up. Incompetence at its finest. I HIGHLY recommend when they ask you if you own any other homes you just say "NO"...just my experience, I still have not gotten my VA IRRL.

Amazing levels of incompetence. They lost my mortgage payoff of $226K after my home burned down. 3 departments all try to pass the buck to the next without resolving the issue or actually providing any value. Then they wanted to seal me a refinance at the end of the call...on a burned down house. I can tell you were the next wave of AI automation is going to be. Don't trust this company with your most precious asset. I wish they never acquired my previous lender.

Process very long and cumbersome, definitely different without personal contact, past experience with other companies and in-person contact is much easier and pleasant, even though it was signed and closed several days ago, I still don't have the funds. My mortgage was transferred to Rocket Mortgage in December 2025. Rocket Mortgage performed an escrow analysis and calculated a $7100+ shortage. They stated they only consider the timeframe after their servicing began. My property taxes and homeowners insurance are paid annually and the prior disbursements fall outside of the timeframe being used by Rocket Mortgage. Completing an analysis on basically 1 quarter versus 12 months is excluding my prior contributions to escrow. Their practice has resulted in an inaccurate and overstated shortage and a significant increase in my monthly payment. Despite attempts to resolve this, Rocket Mortgage is refusing to correct the analysis using a full 12 month history.

Took longer than the time estimate provided. Some of the tasks seemed AI generated, and could have been satisfied with information already provided. One of the third-party data collection members was nearly impossible to understand and couldn't comprehend the terms of the credit account being discussed in a conference call.

I expected a smooth experience since I had used Rocket Mortgage in the past, but not this time. I had to stay on top of my loan agent every step of the way. If I didn't email him, the next step never happened. It was just an equity out loan that should have been super quick but it took over a month and I'm still waiting for my creditors to be paid. I'm sorry I chose them. If I had it to do again, I would look elsewhere.

The underwriter/banker was amazing. Prompt, responsive, and helpful. A pleasure to work with. He provided innovative solutions to a challenging loan. The closing department almost ruined the deal. They were unresponsive, sat on the paperwork for a day blowing the closing deadline, and transmitted wrong information to the title closer. If not for the generosity of the seller, Rocket's closing team would have torpedoed the deal.

Always check to make sure you're added to the deed of your house after a refinance or what you think is a mortgage. After 6 years of paying on my house, I found out that I was never put on the deed of the house I thought I owned due to have a mortgage in my name. Just because my parents were the original owners and when I could put the house in my name, I left my dad on the loan to receive the better APR rate. I was trying to take equity out to fix up my house, just to find out I technically don't own it.
They told me it was a courtesy and they didn't have to take my mom's name off the deed even though she has nothing to do with the mortgage. I became the primary for the mortgage using my credit, so why wouldn't I think my name was transferred to the deed. They like to go around the subject and do nothing for you. Sad thing is, if something ever happened to my parents, I would have to fight in probate for a house, I have a mortgage on, but have no claim to. Very bad customer service to where they won't help fix it, so I have to pay a real estate attorney to fix this when it should have been done then.

My experience was not good! First I wanted a HELOC, it was recommended to refinance so I went along. I didn't learn until the appraisal that it would be an FHA loan creating a lot of work in undesirable weather conditions but managed to get all done. Then the fund distribution absolutely blow, You provide checks for accounts that are paperless paid online, making it difficult to get all the information to get to the correct account and where to send. Last, what about the insurance? Did you contact or am I supposed to? I would never recommend your company.

Rocket Mortgage made the whole refi process very easy to do. They plainly mapped out steps I needed to follow. When I hit a snag, they helped me through it. The one thing that would of made this even better is if everyone used the same dates for closing and knew what was happening. My closing was out of the norm, but we were told different things from people who should have known what was what.

Mr Cooper was pretty bad but when they switched to Rocket, horrible. I added taxes to my escrow in December 2025 after almost 3 years without it being attached. I received a high tax bill and Rocket paid it. Since that time (months), my escrow payment went from $2,025 to $2,770 to $3008 to over $3,340. I was told in december that I had a shortage of $9,335 and in order to keep my payment at $2,770, I needed to pay the shortage.
I sent in $12,000 dollars. Shortly after, they sent me an overage check for $4,007 and in the same letter, that my minimum escrow balance is short and there is a shortage of over $300 dollars. In addition, my payments were going from $2,770 to $3,008. I then got a letter stating the actual shortage is over $4,300 dollars and my payments is going up to $3,340 if I don't pay the shortage. I have spoken to at least 6 different people, none of which can explain anything that has happened to my account. It is all compartmentalized and no one knows what other departments are doing. It's a shit show.

Worst customer service ever! My mortgages payment not showing up on my statement but I have bank poof that they received and cashed it. I have called them 3 times, sent an email to where I was told to send it, no response, mailed documentation certified, they received, no response. Getting ready to initiate a lawsuit.

I paid my 4/1 loan payment 03/26/26. Rocket Mortgage then took a payment out 4/1. Numerous calls, dropped calls, incompetent. Then I was credited twice. Called to explain. Told I do not need to make a payment til June.. 4/11 received a text I owed 4/1 payment. Made the payment. 4/17 call from Rocket Mortgage that my loan was in collections. Called Rocket Mortgage. 2 dropped calls. Spoke with Manager Kelly who gave me an email address to file a complaint. Wrote long letter to complain. Wrong email address. Incompetent company. They have no idea what they are doing. Made another payment to cover myself. HORRIBLE SERVICE, INTELLIGENCE. Please go out of business.

Very easy, no hassle HE loan. Didn’t run into any problems. Our agent was very knowledgeable and quickly answered all of our questions. Our phone calls were answered or we got a return call the same day. We were very impressed with how easy this process was most of our loans in the past have been very stressful and we almost gave up. Undoubtedly happy with our experience.

We recently refinanced with Rocket Mortgage and had a great experience from start to finish. The entire process was smooth, efficient, and well-organized. Communication was clear throughout, and any questions we had were answered quickly. One thing that really stood out was the convenience of having an attorney come directly to our home for the closing—it made the process so much easier and more comfortable. Overall, a very positive experience. We’d definitely recommend Rocket Mortgage to anyone looking to refinance or purchase a home.

If I could leave ZERO stars, I would but I guess the nice agents I speak with )when I FINALLY get past all the BOTS and AI crap) are very nice and kind and do sound like they care. Rocket Mortgage was NOT my loan manager by choice, I was FORCED to deal with them when my mortgage was sold. Originally it was Mr. Cooper - talk about a name that sounds like a scam.
Rocket Mortgage and Mr. Cooper HARMED me by misleading me about "everything will be the same with your mortgage. I quickly learned that "the same" did not include my automatic payment from my bank account and I had to spend about an hour on the phone and online to set that up (mind you, I have had this mortgage since 2010 and everything had run the same and smoothly since then). So this went fine for a couple of months and then they switched from Mr. Cooper to Rocket. Apparently, they are under the same umbrella yet they failed to switch the autopay.
They were so eager to take over my loan - twice - but not eager to help me. Because the autopay was not generated in the move, I went TWO months without a payment. This dropped my credit score by 100points!!! Note: I am a 67 year old person who has made on-time payments to all of my accounts for most of my entire life.
I took this issue up with all the credit reporting agencies and their response was that I must turn to the lender who made this report. I was told that the entity that made the report had the power to remove it or change, it. When I contacted Rocket Mortgage with this information and request, they refused to make any change. They told me there was nothing to be done since they had already filed their report. Horrible and greedy!

Rocket Mortgage is the worst mortgage company I have used in over 50 year. Mr Cooper was taken over by Rocket. Every since the merge, I have had to make 7 payments in 2 months because Rocket keeps claiming they "Returned" my payment. I make a payment and within 14 days, they show it was returned and have tried to then charge me late fees. Multiple conference calls with my bank to prove that payments we not returned. Provided Rocket with bank statement showing that payments have posted to my bank and still not good enough for them. There is no way to speak to one person as a point of contact and we have repeated our story at least 20 times. We have spent a combination of 3 full days on the phone with Rocket and been told multiple times that someone will be monitoring our account and calling us back and no one ever has.
Rocket takes your payment and holds it in a holding account before applying it to your mortgage to let interest accrue. We have never had a late payment in in over 50 years of owning homes. We have also never dealt with a company as crooked as Rocket. Since the Mr Cooper/Rocket merge our mortgage has become a nightmare. If you have a choice do NOT use Rocket!

The end result was good with a lower rate, but the rep felt pushy, often asked for things with new specific reason for the rush deadline. When we worked with other brokers in the business they presented a workback schedule, milestones, etc. We also had to correct some details regarding the Trust and QC that were wrong.

They took over our mortgage and have jacked up our insurance, not paid what they were supposed to, and then charged us an additional $3K plus for their crappy insurance coverage. Avoid this terrible company at all costs. We will likely just pay off the remainder of mortgage to prevent them from making any money on interest - GFYS.

The initial process was very good. What was needed was clear and every step was explained. Our closing was a bit difficult. The initial call to the closing department did not go well. The person did not schedule our closing as stated in our conversation. Once we had the closing scheduled through our second call it was explained and the person made sure it was scheduled. The closing was virtual and we had issues with the system scanning our identification. We had to contact the hotline several times to fix the issue. After the third call they had to resubmit our closing link. The closing notary was very patient, friendly, and we closed.

Here is why I’m no longer a customer of Rocket Mortgage. Communication is extremely important to me, and it’s usually the deciding factor in whether I stay with a company or move on. At one point, I was considering staying with Rocket Mortgage after speaking with one of their employees. However, after receiving new paperwork, I had questions and reached out to her for clarification. I left a voicemail asking for a call back as soon as possible, but I never received a response. It felt like once they were confident I would stay, the level of communication dropped off completely.
Because of that experience, I decided to move on to another company that not only responded promptly but also offered me a better deal and overall service. The difference in communication and attentiveness made the decision easy. I will definitely be sharing my experience with friends. If they choose to go with Rocket Mortgage, I’ll advise them to be cautious and aware that communication may become lacking once the company feels secure in their business.

Rocket Mortgage was very easy to work with. The personnel were professional, courteous and knowledgeable. The personnel were quick to respond to emails. Phone calls. The closing was quick, and easy. The notify explained everything in detail before we signed.

I am a first time homebuyer and my experience with Rocket Mortgage was fantastic! Everybody helped me and answered my questions. It was easy communication from beginning to end. I couldn’t have asked for better folks to work with. Carson and Shannon were phenomenal through this process. I appreciate all the hard work and effort they put into my home purchase. I will be recommending Rocket Mortgage to everyone. Great experience, well informed and super easy process.

Worst customer service, actually no customer service at all. They continued to bill me insurance and property tax monthly 9 months and at least 10 attempts to contact them to STOP. I followed all their instructions, sent policies, payment receipts, emails, and spent hours on the phone being pushed to various departments and being cut off on at least 5 occasions. Yes they said I qualify to stop escrow, but the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing and if I don't pay their monthly billing I will get a blemish on my credit so I'm stuck. It's been 9 months and still no responses.. you are dealing with a robot.

The folks at Rocket Mortgage have been absolutely wonderful. Our agent Alexus was wonderful in taking care in answering all the questions we had. She was very professional, yet very personal. She was always ready to answer our calls and lead us in the right direction. Any questions we asked were always answered in simple terms we could understand.

Rocket Mortgage is the WORST mortgage company I have ever had to deal with. My loan recently transitioned from Mr. Cooper to Rocket Mortgage, and I have NEVER had so many issues since I've been a homeowner. Their communication is NON EXISTENT, they raise mortgage payments without notification, you can't get through to a live agent if there are issues without your blood pressure going through the roof trying to get through the IVR - it's horrible. If I didn't have such a good interest rate, I would not be with this company. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I am very disappointed with my experience with Rocket Mortgage and Rocket Homes. I was a Rocket customer for quite some time, and when I decided to sell my home, Rocket referred me to Rocket Homes. I was connected with a Rocket Homes agent who assisted me with the sale of my property. One of the main reasons I chose to stay within the Rocket network was because I was promised a 1% rebate based on the final sale price of my home. This incentive played a significant role in my decision to move forward with a Rocket Homes agent rather than exploring other options.
Earlier this year, I successfully sold my home. When my agent advised me to request the 1% rebate I was promised, Rocket Homes acted as if this agreement never existed. I was passed around from person to person, repeatedly having to explain the situation, which was both frustrating and disappointing. Eventually, one representative acknowledged the issue and attempted to help.
Unfortunately, I was later informed that Rocket Homes would not honor the full 1% rebate, and instead would only offer half of what was originally promised. This was extremely upsetting. The incentive was a deciding factor in my choice to use their services, and changing the terms after the fact feels misleading and unfair.I am left wondering why this incentive is offered to customers if the company is not willing to fully honor it. This is not how a company should treat its customers, nor is it an effective or ethical way to recruit or retain clients. Because of this experience, I will not recommend Rocket Mortgage or Rocket Homes to anyone, and I will not consider using them again in the future. I hope Rocket Homes takes this feedback seriously and reviews its practices to ensure customers are not misled or disappointed in the future.

My loan was sold to Rocket Mortgage from Wells Fargo. I attempted to use my equity for home repairs. The person I was working with told me he was going to do a Cash Out Refinance. He didn't explain any options or why he was choosing this specifically. Communicating was a challenge because he was on the west coast and I'm in the Midwest. After weeks of working with him they transferred me to a woman name Cassandra in Cleveland. No explanation. Cassandra in Cleveland was rude for no reason. Absolute nightmare. I ended up financing with a different bank. Wells Fargo was way better.

Everything went well but they said we was going to get our 500.00 back that we had to pay for the appraisal fee we had to pay for and it looks like they did not give it back to us like we were told, I asked them about it but no reply.

I'm retired senior with excellent credit, social security, and savings and no outstanding loans other than monthly credit cards which I was willing to pay down some. I was turned down. Without recourse. If you are not a typical homebuyer go elsewhere.

My mortgage was sold from one company to Rocket Mortgage. There wasn't any communication with us regarding the sell of the mortgage, not sure if this is required. However, we were still paying our normal mortgage payment. Behind the scenes, the 2 companies were not talking and all of the information was not passed along. I only found out what was going on when I received a cancellation letter from my home owners insurance policy. I was quite surprised when I had been paying this with my mortgage the entire time.
When I logged on to my lender portal, I saw that we were now with Rocket Mortgage, and my monthly payment went up $1,300. Rocket Mortgage did not send out any communication, did not pay my home owners insurance and did not respond back when I called NUMEROUS time. (Most people don't have over an hour to sit on hold). I finally got through to someone with my insurance and they told me what I needed to do. Big companies like Rocket Mortgage are not for the people. They were trying to force a Lender Based Insurance policy on us, by not communicating.
As if this wasn't enough, our taxes for our escrow were not factored in correctly. We had to scan our correct tax papers in for Rocket Mortgage. They were trying to charge us more than $7,000 more in taxes because they had it listed incorrectly. Finally my husband and I were the ones that got everything sent in a settled, not Rocket Mortgage, they did not lift a finger to help. Why would they....they want the extra $1,300 on our monthly payment. We finally got our mortgage payment back to where it was before the company merger, but I still had to pay the higher payment for April. Not sure why when this was ROCKET MORTGAGE'S mess up, but I don't want a late payment and any harm to come when I try to refinance my home loan. You better believe as soon as I can, I will get as far away from this company as humanly possible.

I was just exploring the app and trying to see what kind of interest rate I could get in the future. Rocket Mortgage did a hard pull on my credit report and I did not ask for or authorize it. My credit score dropped because of this and I have no intention of refinancing any time soon. Not to mention they offered a higher interest rate than I already have. Also they started spam calling me. Terrible experience. I miss having Cooper for my mortgage company.

I received an escrow statement in December 2025 that stated I had until February 10th, 2026 to pay my escrow shortage or my payment would increase. I made the payment in December, 2025. I then received notice that my monthly payment in April 2026 was increasing due to a shortage in my escrow account. The payment I made went as a deposit only in my escrow account. IT WAS NOT APPLIED TO THE SHORTAGE! They do not use the balance that is in your escrow account to offset what they say WILL be the shortage at the end of the year. I had to pay the shortage AGAIN!

The lack of communication after the appraisal was not good. I never got any text, call or email that more information was needed. I had to call to get a status and that is when I was told what else was needed. I had task to compete again that I was unaware of when I should have gotten some kind of call.

Rocket Mortgage took over my home loan from Mr. Cooper the last two months before we paid off our mortgage. I tried to contact them and all I got was a 1hr 45 min wait on a phone call, where nobody ever picked up. This companies' customer service is by far the worst. I'm so glad the this has come to an end; all I want is for them to send me copy of my Deed, but instead all I get is a ROBO call telling me that it will take 3 to 9 months. This is completely unacceptable, and when I finally get someone on the phone all they can do is give me a website link.

Rocket Mortgage purchased the company that had been servicing my mortgage loan recently. Unfortunately, I've had a horrible experience with Rocket Mortgage since then. In January, my loan was changed to non-escrowed (more than 40 business days ago), and I have still not received the balance of my escrow account. I've reached out to their support team on four separate occasions, and not only has this not been resolved, I was told misinformation on three occasions. Although I've followed their instructions, waited the recommended times (20 business days) for a check to arrive, and after that failed, a wire transfer to be initiated (was told this takes 3 - 5 business days), they continue to hold onto my money.
After spending over an hour on the phone with their support team just this week, and waiting 10 days since I sent an email to initiate a wire transfer as their support team directed, I received an autoreply that they need 7 more business days (already waited 10, mind you) to look into my inquiry. This puts us at 47 business days without a resolution and them holding onto my money that I needed to pay my property taxes (deadline has well passed). Has anyone ever had to wait more than 30 business days to receive their escrow balance, either after a review/surplus or changing their loan to non-escrowed? Even their website says this should never take more than 20 - 30 business days.
Not only has this been extremely difficult financially, at times their support team has been rude and dismissive, has refused to provide contact information to me to get an answer or accountability, and given misinformation on multiple occasions. Also, each time I have been asked to try something new, it's like they start me over from scratch rather than considering that this is an issue that I've been trying to get resolved for nearly two months now. Although I had no choice in selecting this company, I would NEVER recommend anyone I know choosing them for a loan or any other service. Horrible experience that I'm still living with.

Remember if something seems too good to be true it is. They give you a loan, and lock-in a price, they always answer your calls, easy peezy.. then all of a sudden your mortgage payment goes up. Than a couple of months later it goes up again…than again and again.. very hard to to get a knowledgeable person or even just anyone on a phone, and no one ever knows why or how.. they always send you to someone else. The interest rates have gone up and up.. And the insurance up and up. And the taxes up and up.. and they never know why the payment is so high… you never get the same people on the phone, and literally have to stay the whole process of explaining your case each phone call..(when you get a person on the phone) In my opinion they are totally unprofessional and their goal is to steal your home legally right out from under you. Please shop around. Don’t fall for their gimmicks. I promise there are better, and more honest companies.

Since the beginning when I got this loan my land and home taxes were supposed to be combined and into one and paid thru my escrow account, that has not been the case. My land has been paid by them, but my home itself has not been and it's almost late. I have reached out to them on several occasions but still have no answer or reply back.

Abysmal experience attempting to navigate their AI phone service, slightly better online. I'd regularly have to check if my human contact was still there and attempt to see if my problem had been solved. As of yet no confirmation (I was attempting to opt out of my info being sold in Ohio). I'm skeptical that they're remotely close to being #1 in customer service with my experience thus far. If it was a better economy I'd be tempted to refinance just to avoid further interacting with them.

I made payment arrangements with them and they sent me certified mail informing me they were going to start foreclosure proceedings even though I made payment arrangements and made all of them on time. When I called trying to find out what the issue was the representative I talked to was sarcastic and dismissive.

Decided not to go with Rocket for our home equity loan. After considering points and fees, the rate we got from Navy Federal was a much better deal despite having a higher number if you just looked at the percentage rate. I have received at least two follow-up calls a day for the last several months. Rocket must have an endless supply of phone numbers because I have blocked every one they ever called from. Answering and telling them you are not interested isn’t an option because if you do, you will find yourself talking to non responsive AI.

If you don't have to, DON'T!!! The only reason it's 2 stars is because of the decent person I spoke with today. Otherwise, it's at least a 20 to 30 minute hold before you get to the person who will transfer you 2 or 3 times only to tell you something completely misleading. The customer service as a business model is non-existent. Not having a physical location is suspicious considering every transaction has to be done online or by phone. This company doesn't deserve our business. The only reason they have it is because it's forced upon us.

Run and keep running from this place. I'd never do business with this company. So after they had everything and ruining our credit. They gave us our refinance payment amount and loan summary, etc. The stupid customer service person didn't wait for their own home inspection to input the value of our house. He took it upon himself to over estimate it and then when the amount came back under what he put in said he couldn't help us anymore. So after stealing $500.00 and making our credit score go lower and wasting all our time they said they couldn't help. And after speaking with a Federal Bank they said they never heard of something like that and they could have revised loan. So they are a very corrupt company and I'd never even think about doing business with them when ever again. And I'd look at Sidney FCU or Broadway before you waste money and time and get the worst rate from these idiots.

After working with Mr. Cooper for over 7 years here comes Rocket Mortgage. The customer service agents were awful. I accidentally doubled up on a payment advised the rep and she contacted my bank with me on the line and left the call. I am trying to reverse this additional principal payment in the amount of 900 dollars. I began calling at 8:30 am and my last call was at 3:15 pm and stated by all 3 reps the escalation team has been in a meeting all day.

My mortgage was sold to this company less than a month ago. I have been trying to pay my mortgage off, but they have thrown every possible obstacle in my way, so they can collect one more month of interest. I made an online payment of over $14,000, which they now say they cannot accept in spite of the fact that the payment cleared my bank, and it is sitting in my Rocket Mortgage account as a credit. I was told that it would be refunded to me in the form of a check in 15 days. I am now stuck waiting for the check. You cannot get a live person on the phone. Do yourself a favor! Go to another mortgage company.

We used Rocket Mortgage to do a cash out refinance loan two years ago. While the process went smoothly and everything worked as expected. I do not recommend anyone using RM. Immediately after finalizing the paperwork, I started getting spam calls from other lenders. Several calls per day at all hours of the day. I contacted them and they confirmed that they sold my information. I told them that because of that I would never use RM again. They ceased responding. It slowed for awhile but has picked back up again. Do not use RM unless you like spam calls. Go to reputable bank or credit union.

I'm trying to do a partial release of a portion of my property. I'm getting different instructions on what I need to complete to keep this process moving. Here is the last email I sent to Rocket Mortgage. (We just spoke to a representative from Rocket Mortgage Saturday 3/14 who told us we needed to send $250.00 to get this process going. We mailed that out on Monday 3/16. Now today 3/17 you sent me an email stating I need to send you $500.00.
Why weren’t we told during our phone conversation that it would be $500.00. It doesn’t sound like everyone at Rocket Mortgage is on the same page when it comes to having information about a partial release procedure. It would really be beneficial if we could have one point of contact from Rocket Mortgage to work with during this procedure instead of getting a new representative each time with different instructions about what we need to do and eliminate us from having to explain the whole thing repeatedly. So far, I would say our experience with Rocket Mortgage has been less than satisfying.
So. Moving forward. Will it be possible to have one representative be our point of contact throughout the partial release procedure. Feel free to contact me at any time to discuss. Here is Rocket Mortgage response - "Thank you for contacting us for assistance. While we understand that responding with a sense of urgency is the ante to play, we are currently experiencing high volumes of requests. We're currently processing requests in the order they were received, from oldest to newest. Please allow time for a response, and try to avoid sending additional emails or follow-ups, as this may delay your response time."
Rocket Mortgage still hasn't provided me with a contact to handle my partial release request. Didn't provide me with any information as to why they want $500.00 instead of the $250.00. Sending and receiving emails from Rocket Mortgage is like calling Rocket Mortgage. Always an automated reply unless you continuously push 0 until you get somebody on the line that still has no idea on how to handle your call. It's like rinse and repeat for every call. Completely dissatisfied customer.

This was the most painful mortgage process I was ever involved with. It was a simple refinance from one Rocket Mortgage to another Rocket mortgage. During the process, I found I was not able to trust the process and some of the people. Items were added to our loan without discussion or disclosure - I only found out when I asked why numbers changed from one estimate to the next. What was added was concerning and in no way acceptable to me. I was asked multiple times to sign documents we all agreed were incorrect (wrong interest rate, wrong payment, etc.); some I was told to ignore, some I was told had to be signed in order for the correct version to be sent. Many items that were supposed to happen "automatically" did not happen and I was left to chase people to get them done. We did eventually close but it was definitely the most difficult and convoluted process I have experienced in 27 years of home ownership.

My mortgage was transferred from a mortgage company we liked, Mr Cooper, to Rocket Mortgage. We had previously set up bi-weekly auto withdrawals from our checking account. Although Rocket is continuing with these withdrawals, these amounts do not match the transactions shown on my Rocket Mortgage online account. The AI Chat can't answer why this is occuring, and told me to call Rocket Mortgage directly. I called and was caught in an endless AI loop that wouldn't connect me to a person. When I said I wanted to file a complaint, the AI bot finally put me on hold to speak to a person. After waiting an hour on hold, I finally had to disconnect - which was probably the company's intent. Worst customer service ever! I still don't know why the mortgage transactions don't match and don't know how I can get this answered.

The Beginning of the process in early February went fine. I expressed to Brianna what I needed. I made it clear after I decided to refinance the home I wanted to pay off 2 vehicles I own, my MFCU credit card and pay off my wife's car of $35000. She said $160000 would be enough until late February when I noticed the money I was gonna get at closing was $5000 short of what I needed and immediately started telling Brianna to increase the loan amount to $170000. She told me to settle at closing at which I talked about it with the closing agent and she said her job was just to get me to sign and I had 3 days to cancel.
All my communication with Brianna was done by email. So I got the $30000 in my bank account on the 11th of March. I closed on the 6th of March. I never heard from anyone after that. Never got an email or a call about the 3 disbursement checks I was to receive for my loan payments. On Sunday March 15th I was in my backyard picking up trash and picked up a saturated UPS Express envelope that was addressed to me. After opening I found wet documents. I felt they may be salvaged once dried. I sent pictures to Brianna immediately and she responded with they are not responsible for where the mail carrier leaves the mail and I strongly disagree.
I had over $100,000 over 3 checks in that envelope that should have required my signature like I had to do for every document you needed from me. Those checks never should have been laid anywhere but my hands. Was very unacceptable and has left a bad taste in my mouth and I want answers. We aren't talking about $500.... I was very professional and timely with everything that was asked of me. I did everything your company asked and I expected the same from you. I hope to hear from you soon.

The customer service is HORRIBLE. I am very technologically competent, however their self directed online solutions are very limited and you will ultimately have to call. IT WILL TAKE HOURS. They will constantly send you from one person to another without actually resolving any issue. There is no communication between representatives or departments so you are back at square one every time. I have received countless empty promises and had to call back multiple times. The issue is still not resolved and they owe me $14,700 they accidentally billed me.

Rocket Mortgage is our third mortgage company. Both of the mortgage companies we've used before were phenomenal. Rocket however made it extremely hard to find out how to assign my extra payments toward principal only then when I did make a principal only payment, they designated my principal only payment toward interest. Rocket Mortgage has a useless and annoying AI phone tree that can't answer my questions and takes forever to forward me to an actual person, then the actual people at Rocket Mortgage refuse to answer the phone and leave you on hold for hours and hours.
I've tried multiple times and sat at my phone on hold for hours every time. I've emailed them about my inquiry and haven't gotten a response in ten days. If you're interested in a mortgage company, I advise you not to use Rocket Mortgage. The fact that Rocket Mortgage bought our loan and we didn't have any decision on the matter, I feel like means there should be some legal protections for the homeowner. If anyone knows of a legal entity I could contact to hold Rocket accountable, I'd love to know about it.

Each painful interaction has been over an hour and I still do not have the information or resolution I reached out for. Let me give you some additional information. I just wanted an mailing address confirmation, an email address confirmation and a statement, which I never received. This is important and heartbreaking as I am already overwhelmed as executor to my parents' estate after losing them within six weeks of each other.

The people at Rocket Mortgage were all excellent. They were courteous, professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Matt **, in particular, was outstanding. We finally received the loan money. It is now in our bank. My only issue was the time it took from beginning to end. It took approx. 6 weeks. Too much paperwork and too much "nitpicking".

Very frustrated with Rocket Mortgage. My first two payments were to another lender, then these guys bought the loan. I cannot use my old loan number or my new loan number to log in to pay. When I call, I get this chatbot that wants me to log in for security using my loan number. Again, neither number works. The chatbot then says, Call some other time again. I cannot reach a customer agent any way I try. I'm now about two weeks late on my mortgage payment, and I can't pay.

0 out of 100 - can I give negative stars? Currently on my 4th chat with the company about the same issue. My previous loan servicer completed escrow analysis early - Rocket took over and now increased my payment retroactively. I have tried 4 times now to straighten this out. Apparently the chat bot I spoke to on Saturday did absolutely nothing because it's Wednesday and I'm on my third chat session of the day. Terrible terrible service. Owned my house for 10 years and the last two weeks as a Rocket Mortgage customer have been absolute hell. I don't know how they stay in business. They are so awful.

My loan was recently moved to Rocket Mortgage. Since then I have had nothing but issues with their customer service. First I sent an email requesting I create an account number by clicking on a link that asked for the last four of my SSN. Simple enough one would think but no their system did not recognize my input. Thinking I may have missed typed a number I very carefully type the correct last four again. Once again I was not only l rejected but locked out. The system requested I call their customer service line for help. Amazingly it requested my last four and my zip code which it accepted immediately and put me through to JOSH. I started to explain my situation but JOSH kept interrupting me by stating things I might have done wrong.
I finally got JOSH to shut up and suggested he might want to listen to my issue. I explained that since the email would not accept my SSN but the phone inquiry would it was probably on Rocket Mortgages end. I then ask him for Rocket Mortgage to send me the new account number or I could find a new lender. JOSH hung up on me. Customer Service Not so much. BTW- I can still log in through my old lender for now to make a payment but it switches over to RM. I tried to make a payment with adding additional principal but their is no option to do so on RM. Go figure! Yes,

Just to get a year-end escrow balance I called four times and wasted an hour and a half waiting for a representative.. Could not get on their website because even though I requested a new password three times I never received an email.. This company sucks and they are always saying that they are experiencing exceptionally high call volume.

Rocket Mortgage bought my loan from Mr. Cooper. I always add a little more to the principal to help pay it down faster. Instead of applying it to the principal, they applied it to the next payment, which isn't due for a month. I tried their chat service but it said there's nothing they can do. I called their number last week and left a message to call me back which hasn't happened. I just spent the last 15 minutes on hold with no luck. Do real people work here? It's not the end of the world and I know how to work around it next time. But is it too much to answer the phone?

I have requested numerous times to stop the ads from Rocket Mortgage but they just keep coming clogging up my email. These ads keep coming through launchpad.com who states it is a paid ads from Rocket Mortgage. Rocket Mortgage told me they don't pay them. I don't know anyone who advertises for free. But either way when you request they stop and they keep sending the ads against your will, It is HARRASSMENT!! The rates would probably be lower if they didn't waste so much money on sending out unwanted ads.

One of the worst companies I’ve ever had to deal with, constant missing items to send, completely inconsistent information and they change with the weather on what they need from you and if you are or aren’t approved, worst experience I’ve had with a mortgage company in my entire life, never go here, go local you won’t have a headache or a bunch of incompetence and unneeded frustration from a corporation built on impotence. Never go here. Worthless company with people who have never been good at their job, if they can’t handle a process as simple as a pre-approval, how well do you think they will handle one of the most important decisions of your life? Borrowing money from the mafia would be a better financial decision.

My mortgage was transitioned from Mr. Cooper to RM. I pay my mortgage before the 1st of the month every month. So I was surprised when I log on to my bank and see that not only did my payment go through but RM took the liberty to put my account on autopay during the transition and from research the internet I am not the only one it seems they did this to a lot of customers. Trying to log in to RM to see what was going on was impossible, log in credentials didn't work, trying the forgot password link comes back as not recognizing my credentials of SSN, trying the chatbot feature on RM a complete waste of time you get nowhere. But here is what you do get, you get to sit on hold FOREVER to speak to a representative. I was able to finally speak to someone who walked me through the log in process (which by the way they don't tell you ahead of time that your user name has been changed to your e-mail address on file).
Then I had to go through a three way call with my bank to verify that the mortgage payment I made and the one that RM took the LIBERTY to put on auto-pay for the month of March went through. They said they would refund one of the payments but I have yet to see it in my bank account. Taking the liberty to put their customers accounts on UNAUTHORIZED auto-pay was not a mistake, this was deliberate. Transitioning the large number of mortgage loans from Mr. Cooper to RM should have been much smoother with the anticipation that when you change a customer's user log in information without informing them would cause a serious backlog of calls to which they were very ill prepared. Rocket Mortgage's transitioning plan gets an A++ in being a complete disaster.

I have been with this mortgage company for 10 years, the first 8 were fine, but for the last 2 years at the beginning of the new year my monthly payment increased $100 then the beginning of this year increased another $192 and after correcting my insurance which automatically appraises my home value (which was higher than county assessed value) my payments only went down $91 from the $192. This was after a month and a half of calling Rocket Mortgage each week to verify my EOE had been applied and that my refund from insurance company was applied to the escrow account.
After digging through my Rocket Mortgage account I noticed a discrepancy in Rocket Mortgage's estimated home value, which was $20,000 higher than my county-assessed home value. I think they are using this over-inflated home value to increase my tax escrow estimated payment account. Again, on the phone wasting hours trying to get this resolved and get my mortgage payments back down to a reasonable monthly rate. Transfer here, wait on hold for 20 to 40 minutes, transfer there...wait on hold again for about the same amount of time...etc....just a constant run around. For a more impatient person, they would give up, but I am very persistent and demanding.

Ever since this company bought my loan, I have had issues. They want to do everything by phone (so that they can try to sell you something you don't want, like a refinance) and phone calls are extremely difficult for me. I teach and my phone does not get signal in the building. I Uber as as second job so I can't spend large chunks of time talking. When Rocket calls YOU, it is a recording for you to call them. When you do call them... well, I have never successfully done this because at about 20 minutes of hold time, I usually have something else I need to do. I was with my previous mortgage company for 10 years. No late payments. Now, I am and 3 months behind because I had a one month issue that has turned into a huge ordeal. Sill haven't been able to talk to anyone. I HATE THIS COMPANY.

The worst customer service, put on hold for over an hour days in a row. Mortgage transferred and did not receive anything from them, trying to pay my loan and get into my account is impossible. I'd never do business with them if it was my choice. Worst company very disappointed in them, can't say enough bad things. The worst part was when on hold you listen to Mr. Rogers' neighborhood theme song on a loop sung in operatic style, it makes you want to hang up.

Not an easy company to deal with. They bought my mortgage from Shellpoint which was very satisfactory. They promised a smooth transaction, Not so. No statements mailed or emailed statements. I had to go online to them to see what was happening. Sure enough, I got stuck with a late fee. So I paid it. I then tried to set up biweekly payments, that was a disaster. I made my monthly payment, then set up the following months' biweekly to start the following month on the 1st.
As soon as I did that, they deducted half as soon as I set it up. So I wasn't happy with that amount of money being deducted from my bank, all at once. The following month, they hit me up with another late payment and they took that out of my $500 additional payment. It takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour wait time to talk to someone. I have had bank accounts and mortgages on real estate for 35 years and have never had this bad of experience with a bank before. Bad customer service. I guess that's why you have to wait a hour to talk to someone because of the influx of unhappy customers.

Really, they screwed up our payments so much it took three days to get it corrected and hours waiting in the online phone queue. Finally, an AI chatbot submitted a reversal and that will take 3-4 more days.... when the first mistake was instant?? JUST stay away if you can!

Getting this loan done took way longer than we was told. It was started in time to get approved on time to pay off another loan. Which did not happen and cost us more money in interest. The closing did not go well. Lots of mistakes made on the closing.

Got an Escrow Review Statement, had highly specific questions not answerable on their website and called number under "Questions, We're Here To Help" section. Went through the phone tree and waited 49 minutes before someone finally picked up. The minute I find a better rate elsewhere, I'm dropping both my mortgages with them. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND EVEN IF THEY HAVE A LOWER RATE -- THE CUSTOMER SUPPORT HASSLE IS NOT WORTH IT!

I had to submit requested information on two separate issues at least 4 times before they actually read the entire documents and acknowledged their questions had been addressed. Rocket Mortgage has terrible customer service. I have waited on hold for several hours, on different occasions. Even when I finally reached someone my concerns were not answered. I currently have a payment that I did not authorize for nearly 2000.00. I am trying to cancel it but I am unable to edit it on their website. I have a monthly payment due and I am unsure why this 2000.00 "partial payment " is showing up. This loan was bought from Cooper loans. Rocket mortgage is horrible.

The worst customer service on the phone, they never answer, every time you push a button from the menu, a disclaimer comes, and then disconnects call, to speak to someone live it's like looking for the cure to some disease. When you do get someone on the phone, they treat you like a number and not a person, no empathy, no consideration, and the hold times are ridiculously long. The loan process itself was painful.

The agent I worked with, Franco **, was thorough, very professional and provided a wealth of information when I was thinking about refinancing. I would say the experience I had with him was excellent and would rate this as 5 out of 5. However, the area that really let the service down was how long it took for the underwriters to approve the process. I had more questions and it took longer to refinance with Rocket, then when we bought the same home only 4-5 months ago, also with Rocket. My circumstances had not changed, having originally bought the house with Rocket in Aug 2025. The only exception was that the house is now worth more as per the valuation due to the remodelling we invested in the home (the house increased in value from $1.7m to $2m), yet the process took so much longer with so many more questions for the refinance than the original purchase. It really put me off the entire process.

Unlike our many previous Rocket Mortgage closings, this one happened to coincide with the migration of your new website, which ruined our virtual closing and gave rise to a frantic search for an in-person notary. I still don't have the new loan information on my Rocket page, although my wife does have it on hers. Your tech people say things should straighten themselves out within a week or so. I'm hoping. Rana and Roberto were very personable and knowledgeable. They were a great help in explaining our options. The overall process remained very friendly on the surface, but seemed much more stern and mechanical underneath. It took us 15 days to close, which is unusual based on past experience. Nonetheless, everything came together successfully and I'll be happy when I can look at the loan information online.

Working with Mr. Cooper (Rocket Mortgage) has been a total nightmare. My previous lender sold many of their loans to Mr. Cooper (Rocket Mortgage) and it has been a horrible experience. I have worked with several different lenders through the years in different properties and I have never had a problem. I pay my mortgage way before the due date and when Mr. Cooper receives my payment, they apply my payment towards my principle and not to my monthly payment, making my monthly payment late. This has already happened to me twice and I have complained and they have said that they corrected it but had I not called this morning, it would have happened to me a third time. This is very frustrating and inefficient. I strongly suggest that you look for other alternatives for lenders because this is very inefficient and dangerous to your credit. I had great experiences with GMAC, Wells Fargo, Chase, etc.

There is no way to speak with a live customer service agent, unless they call you. Their phone platform is horrendous and their staff have repeated botched implemented agreed to resolutions of the mismanagement of our account. We are stuck in the horrible, mortgage hell, hoping that they sell our loan to another provider.

I did not agree to any pricing and in fact had told them to cancel. The fact I can not get another Appraisal for 6 months, they can do whatever then want and charge whatever they. Sydney ** dropped the Ball. Stay away from using her and this company.

I’ve never had a problem with them until now. I’ve had some very uncontrollable changes in my life over the last couple of years that eventually led to a drastic fall in my financial stability. I got behind on my payments by 1 month. I’m still making the payments and the late fees associated, until I can figure out how to get myself back on track, but they’re one month behind. I can’t help it. I’m doing the best I can.
I called Rocket Mortgage because they accidentally credited my account 2 payments. They took the second payment off and on my end it looked like they took my payment for the late fees associated off as well. When I called, a lady named Paula answered. I asked her about the payment and my $50 late charge. She tells me that the payment and late charge were reversed and that I have a payment that’s due, when can I pay it? I said yes ma'am, I’m asking about the payment that was reversed and my late fee that I actually did pay. She keeps wanting to talk to me in a condescending tone about my payment that’s currently due.
We were on the phone over 11 minutes. I was calm, until I wasn’t. Her condescending foreign tone is not a way to talk to people who pay your company. That money we pay is what provides your paycheck. I understand that I am behind. I understand that I am paying a late fee. I understand you want your money. I am giving it to you as soon as I get it, don’t worry. If my payment wasn’t almost $2000, maybe I could catch up a little quicker! It’s hard in today’s society, and the last thing someone needs is someone like this making them feel worse for trying their best! Do yourself a favor and find another lender, because no one deserves to be treated this way!

Anna is a wonderful and an exceptional employee of Rocket Mortgage. She’s always there to answer whatever questions you have any day, any time of the day or nights and even weekends. A pleasant person to work with. I give her five star.

My parents and I recently went through a cash out refi with Annette and the Rocket Mortgage team and we truly had an excellent experience. Annette was amazing, walking us through many of the documents and explaining what was needed. It was all done online except for closing and it was a very simple process. I was not sure what to expect from a mostly online experience but I have to say it was super easy and well managed. If we did have any questions, Annette was always available and if we needed to speak to a different department, they were easy to access as well. Every person I interacted with was very kind and helpful. I also liked the fact that they seemed to be available outside of traditional banker's hours which was great for me as I don't get out of work until 6pm. I would definitely use Rocket Mortgage again and recommend them to anyone who is interested in acquiring a mortgage.

This was the easiest process to refinance my mortgage! They answered every question I had, and were with me every step of the way! I had to postpone my appraisal, due to health issues. They were extremely compassionate, and were very understanding! Highly recommend this team!

Working with Rocket Mortgage was very smooth. I was kept informed the entire time and the process was fast. Lu ** was fantastic as was the entire team. The only criticism I could give is that it gets confusing differentiating between Rocket Mortgage and Rocket Closing during the process. They need to do a better job of making clear who is who and what is what.

I'm having to talk to many people that don't know what they are doing. I've had to request 4 closing disclosures and it still not right. Rocket Mortgage needs to reduce the amount of people that deals with each mortgage application. This would reduce a lot of confusion for people applying for a mortgage.
