New American Funding is excellent. My loan consultant, Brittani **, stays with me through the whole process. I can call her any time during the process and she knows the answer to all the questions I have. After everything is finished they stay in touch with you through the phone and emails.
Over the years I’ve had three different loan officers. Hunter was by far the best loan officer I’ve used. His knowledge and expertise made this whole process very simple and amazingly quick. He helped make sure I was able to get what I wanted, and at the best rate. Highly recommended for any looking to finance or refinance their home.
I got funded by New American through Chris ** as a new retiree. I had not received my first pension check yet and Chris did all the leg work necessary to get my funding when Rocket Mortgage would not touch me until September 1st, the date I would receive my first pension payment. The escrow closed on August 31st, so we left California and moved immediately to South Tulsa! We just love our beautiful new home!!! NAF is the best mortgage loan company in the whole world! Thought I just gave my info. Best experience was with Andrew. Not so much with other person I dealt with. Had to send info couple times because didn’t see or didn’t receive even though sent etc. Andrew was definitely my best experience. Look forward to the years to spend with your company.

I had a great experience with New American and consultant Greg **. He went above and beyond and answered all of our question. Greg spoke to the Seller's agent on our behalf and sealed the deal. Part of our contingency was a 21 day close and NA made it happen! I was very nervous that we wouldn't close on time but he assured me we would and we did! As long as you provide all the docs in a timely fashion, there will be no issues closing. I 1000% recommend.
The whole process was awesome and pretty smooth! Even when there were bulbs in the road they found a way to resolve them in the way that best helped us! Great experience overall and it was definitely one that I will pass on and recommend to others.
I can't really believe how quickly our refinance was processed. Our loan officer Caleb was great - answered our questions and gave us different options for the loan. Really happy with the fast turnaround and excellent rate!

I came to know about NAF thru the HARP program. I can say that my experience with NAF has truly been an enjoyable one. My 1st mortgage lender sold the mortgage to another lender after a year but NAF have kept mine for the past 7+ years. Making life so much easier as I don't have to worry about transferring documentations or who to contact when tax season rolls around.
On both occasions that I have to do business w/NAF i.e. refinance, the people are just a joy to work with. They kept me updated all throughout the process. They are very efficient and obviously knows what they are doing. This time I have the privilege to work with David **. I can say that he is one of the best if not the best. He provided me with all the rates and gave me advices as to which would work best for me. He stays late to answer my questions as we are in different time zones. Isaiah ** picked up where David left off, and same experience. Best service anyone can ask for. Working on my loan even on his birthday -- that I think sums up everything anyone needs to know about people who works at NAF. Meeting people like them is truly a blessing.

Daniel was absolutely amazing every step of the way, from our application all the way up to closing. His communication was perfect, frequent and thorough, but not too frequent, and also as succinct as it needed to be. He checked in with us often, answered all of our questions, sometimes over and over again. He always made sure we understood everything and felt very supported. We had some unusual struggles on our end, due to waiting for our sellers' new home to be finished and then dealing with the sellers' having problems with their loans. The whole process took 6.5 months, and Daniel was supportive and amazing the entire way.
I simply could not imagine having a better experience anywhere else, with anyone else. Daniel is incredible at his job, he's a cool person, and he takes care of his clients. He deserves the highest praise, and whatever he is being paid, he deserves a hefty raise on top of that. George did well with my refinance at first and once I was locked in I got pushed to the back burner. I ended up having to pay points to keep my interest rate and I asked George to check on it and see why I’m all the sudden having to pay a fee and it never got fixed. I ended up eating the 1,600 because everything had taken so long at that point. I was worn out and wanted to just be done. Not impressed.. Riana ** on the other hand made up for all the poor support from everybody else.

I was told that several, companies were involved with this also.. I.e.. one of them was to verify something from my bank. I was this was very important. When we s-one the individual called my credit union with me unannounced. We had to wait about 15-16 minutes to get a person. It was very confusing as to why. When om my bank came on, my person inquired about my account. It caught the bank person and me off guard. All she wanted to know was Did I indeed have an account there. Never mind the fact that I had already sent several months of my statements to you. I was embarrassed and I think my bank person was also.
This should never have happened. Why you needed this other company to do this was a mystery to me and the bank. The bank then inquired if they were asking for a payoff figure. The best answer was no, she was there to verify I had an account. Very foolish to have people that so called specialists on this area. Definitely not a great subcon to have to pay.
I compared a few lenders for our refinance. Jake ** and his team at NAF were the only ones that treated us like people with goals. They seemed more interested in helping us get into a better loan and making the process easy vs. other lenders who just wanted to make a sale.

The refi process was so simple and quick. From our very first inquiry to closing was about a month. We appreciated the simplicity as it was far less stressful for us than previous experiences with other mortgage companies.

Working with Wes was great. Toy was ok, but I had to ask her for updates. What really annoyed me was that the title company sent me checks to send to all my creditors. I had to look up all the account numbers and addresses and send these checks out. Gotta be a better way especially for people who usual pay all their bills electronically.

It was a easy process at start but my loan was funded the very last day of lock expiry date which was worrisome and I had to make lots of calls to get hold of loan processor (not very responsive). But I'm glad in the end it closed on time.

I have been with NAF for quite a few years now. This latest request for a HELOC was a bit cumbersome and exhausting, as I was unware that NAF did not provide these types of services themselves. For long time customers, NAF should think of ways to expedite and improve these services to their customers.
Our experience with our loan officer was amazing however the processor was horrible. Horrible communication, she gave me incorrect info which my realtor said was incorrect and he was right. Honestly because of her we won’t be using the company again. The loan officer was great and it’s too bad for everyone that one person (processor) made it so bad at the end. Like bad. Our realtor was even frustrated. Not with lender or loan officer but purely processor.
Daniel and Devyn were great. Always keeping in touch and addressing any needs and keeping me advised of the refinance process. The small hurdles in the process were handled with such professionalism. It felt like they were looking out for me. I am very pleased with the new rate and the years taken off of the original loan. Thank you!
The loan officer was polite, professional, very knowledgeable and helpful and very friendly. Made me feel very comfortable. Took the time to go over the different program that would be beneficial to me on my journey to purchasing a home.
Matt ** was always responsive and helpful. He worked diligently to bring our refinance to fruition (facing many hurdles throughout the process). When others failed to respond to email or calls, he stepped in and did their work for them. In my experience, he was the best employee of New American Funding. Amber ** however was terrible to work with. She never answered her phone and rarely answered emails. When answering emails, she never answered the questions that I had asked. She continued to ask for documentation and information that I had already provided her (in some instances multiple times). I found her to be very rude, short and “lost” with no knowledge of what was going on with my application.
Once Valencia ** stepped in (while Amber ** was taking personal time) things began to move forward again. It was obvious that our loan and my concerns and questions were not a priority to Amber and that we were more of a frustration than an important customer. As a matter of fact, both Matt and Valencia were constantly having to ask Amber to do her job. I sent an email with questions regarding funding, payment options, account access information and copies of the final paperwork to Amber ** 4 days ago and she still hasn’t answered (even after being urged to do so by Valencia **).
I received excellent customer service from start to finish with my refinance request. Lyndsay and David really helped me understand the process and completed the task in record time, in my opinion. I appreciate their diligence very much!
Literally the best experience I've had with any company in a long time. Sarah's willingness to answer questions and responsiveness are unsurpassed. She made me feel like she genuinely cared about my situation and did everything she could to educate me. She was an absolute delight to work with. I have a house that I have been renting in Missouri and I live in Tennessee. I needed to refinance it in order to get cash back to replace the AC unit. I first tried the mortgage company I had, not only did they deny me but the loan officer would not take my calls or return my call, he just sent an email informing me. So I called New American Funding. My loan officer, Matt, was great. He went over all my options and figured out that although my credit score was good, my debt to income was too high, so he worked with me on consolidating all my credit cards and my car payment into my mortgage and still giving me the cash back I needed to replace the AC and have some extra left over as well. He helped me understand and get through the whole process, especially as I am technologically handicapped. And the whole process only took 34 days from first contact to closing. The other company was telling me up to 70 days. So Thank you very much Matt and New American Funding.

We had a wonderful experience for the most part. Our loan specialist, Jon D., was amazing and went above and beyond in every aspect. Markia L. was impossible to get ahold of and was constantly asking for paperwork we already sent. She was honestly no help and made the whole situation more stressful, so we opted to go through Jon whenever possible. On closing day there was a paperwork error that was found and NOT CORRECTED on Wednesday when we closed on a Friday. We were livid that no one brought this to our attention and our title company told them about it ahead of time.
We ended up waiting 2 hours for Markia to even acknowledge us and 4 more hours for their error to he fixed. We had so much trouble getting any answers from Markia and she even ignored our desperate calls for affirmation. The phone would ring twice and go to voicemail which was full every time. She never called us back or acknowledged us. We ended up calling Jon who was done with work and he helped us get all paperwork sent and squared away. Jon was absolutely wonderful and deserves to be commended, but Markia did nothing to help us and left us livid.

I received outstanding personal service whenever I had a question. They got back to me right away. It was a painless process! The rate was very competitive and they very friendly the whole way. I actually refinanced an existing loan to lower my rate by 1.375%.
I would unrecommend this company to anyone, not because I think they're totally incompetent, because even the worst worker has a success now and again, but because my own, personal experience was an absolute nightmare. There were just so many mistakes made, from beginning to end with this company that I could not in good conscience let them off without at least this reviewing slap on the wrist. Okay, where to begin? For those who have the patience to read this entire rant, I will try to remember all the horrible, nail-pulling, face-palming, shoulder-shrugging moments I can.
I was told we could close in 30 days, and that the first payment would be something like 30-45 days out. Didn't happen. After 90 days, they finally said, "We need to back off for an additional 30 days and let the 'lock' on interest rate expire." Say what? Being 60 days past the originally 'promised' closing time frame, who asks for a 30-day extension before being able to go back to square one and start over? 95% of the communications were held by email, with a couple of phone calls thrown in for good measure. Unfortunately, they'd go a week without communicating back. In some situations, this might not be a problem. But, when you're told that the loan is in the processor's hands (the second step, after the original salesperson has left the picture), it seems to me, you'd expect to hear from the processor.
I mean, how long does it take to make sure a document is a) in place, b) filled out correctly, c) meets company guidelines, and d) is ready to go to underwriting? So, when going a week and not hearing from the processor as the days trickle by in the 'promised' 30-day closing timeframe, I began to get really frantic. (Yes, I admit, I am notoriously impatient, but if a closing is going to take until the end of August, don't promise the end of July). One delay was laid at the feet of the Title Company. Apparently they felt there was a glitch in the title which might cause a problem in underwriting the title insurance. Okay, if there's a problem, tell me what you need us to do to fix it. Without going into personal details, it was a very minor problem which was easily fixable. However, it took three weeks of hemming and hawing to get this company and their chosen title company to provide a solution (which was on me to fix).
Who takes three weeks to identify a solution when closing is supposed to be between 4-5 weeks from start date? After the delay, the solution they provided was wrong. Go figure. They (NAF) sent incomplete documentations, so the wifey and I spent a half day running from courthouse to tax office and back again to file documents that were, in the end, incorrect. Can you say SNAFU? There was also a hang-up with my credit report. This outfit pulled my credit report three times in a three-day period. Who does that? Then, as a result, my credit score got shanked. What was really funny, I pulled my report and it was routinely 40-50 points higher than the company was telling me. Really? So, turns out, my wife pays off her credit cards to a zero balance every month. But, according to this company, the credit bureau told them to tell us to leave exactly a $50 balance on the credit card.
So, I had to send my wife shopping, use her credit card, then after the charge hit, make a payment to leave EXACTLY a $50 balance on the card!! There goes another week. Really? Totally disgusted and exasperated. Do I hate them? No. They're just human, and I read reviews prior to electing to go with them. And, it seems they've closed a lot of loans for people who were very happy with the service. I'm just not one of them. It seems there were just a pile of circumstances (on both sides) and personal communications habits (on their side) that conspired to make this a nightmarish event. So, what did I do? While waiting for the additional 30 days to elapse, I contacted Quicken Loans, got closed in just a tad over 30 days, and had the best experience anyone could ever have refinancing their home. If you've read this far, know that I suggest Quicken for all your financing needs (if they offer the type of financing you need).
They made it easy for people with a low to medium income can and will have different options as well as seeing what people can do to make it better. I think they have options for everyone. I think the resources are top to none because of how you know how to use them. They are everywhere which will make it something easier for everyone. To me I do not think they can make it something easier because of how they explain every detail to you. Also how they make it for people to understands as well. I thought it is the one area where they can make it change, where you can understand what people are saying. I want to be treated with respect.
They have several options that are affordable and user friendly. They offer great customer service and are a great help. I would recommend them to anybody looking to refinance. Their rates are very competitive. The resources are very competitive and user friendly. The customer service is more than friendly and acceptable and will answer all your questions. The site is very user friendly. I'd almost say even a elementary school kid can figure out how to use it. I would recommend and the service is awesome. I would compare the customer service to Disney World, They are just the best at "Hello sir/ma'am how can we help you today?" They really do a great job at helping and dealing with customers.
Very good options of refinancing that's why I picked it compared to all the other companies. It is very helpful to others because it fits everyone - they have a plan for everyone. There are a lot of different resources for everyone to choose from and I can promise you they will have a plan just right for you. I very much recommend it and give them 5 stars at that. This company and website among all other things is very easy to use in my opinion and I would say most people would be able to use this at ease - it's not complicated. I recommend the customer service here. It is really great. I never had any problems with it. They are very helpful.
