We had a great experience with New American from beginning to the end. Steven was our loan consultant and he was VERY HELPFUL in the whole process.. He was very knowledgeable, always keep us in the loop which is very important to us. This was our first time refinancing, so we had a lot of questions. We are really happy with our loan. But please be aware that not all of their loan officers have the same level of professionalism. We had a bad experience with our first assigned loan officer and we were ready to go somewhere else. So glad Jeff ** took over our loan application. Jeff was amazing, ALWAYS available, he made the process painless.

I had read reviews about refinancing with this company, not all pleasant, yet decided to proceed with this company. Jaren ** answered my call and I couldn’t have asked for a more helpful, professional agent. He was extremely thorough and explained every step of the process. Once all documents were sent to him, I just needed to wait for the closing date. He did his best to keep in touch with me every step along the way.

I enjoyed working with New American Funding, and they were very thorough in requesting and collecting docs, although there were some documentation oversights that almost prevented the loan to close and fund. I would like to see the communication between the company and client a bit more streamlined and fluid. There were a few occasions where anxiety sat in. Nevertheless, they were able to fix the issues and I was able to close.

I loved working with Matt, my loan officer, but once I moved beyond that initial stage I was annoyed with the invasiveness of the loan application process compared with other companies. I had to write several letters to explain why I wanted the house, why I was willing to purchase above appraised value, etc. I didn't have to do anything similar when purchasing my first house through another lender, and my ex-partner with very similar finances to me didn't need to do so to purchase his new house. My friends and family also have never had to write letters explaining their motives or thought process. I hated it, I found it extremely intrusive, and I only continued with New American so that I wouldn't have another credit inquiry on my record from changing lenders. I would not recommend New American because of that unnecessary invasion of privacy.

I cannot remember exactly what I typed on the previous page, but I am greatly appreciative to Ms. **'s customer service. As a Loan Officer, she handled everything from start to finish with great care. She is very intentional in what she does. Leai makes sure that things are understood, and she has warm delivery when she speaks.

Shay did an amazing job explaining my entire loan process. She kept me updated on what the next step was every other day and weekly. Shay answered my questions whether it was via phone, email, or on the weekly team's updates.

The process of financing our mortgage was 3 times longer then we were told. We were also told that our loan would stay with New American Funding, but we just received a notice that our loan was bought out by Freddie Mac, even before we have made our first payment, and that was very frustrating and disappointing. So even though I gave Sam, our consultant, 5 stars for his involvement I give New American 3 stars because of these reasons.

I refinanced my mortgage with New American, and they got me off an ARM that had jacked the price by a quarter percent every 6 months to a fixed rate at a basement rate. My loan officer was extremely helpful, responsive, and walked me through the process easily. This is a refinance of my first home, and I needed extra help to make sure I knew what I was on the hook for, and my representative was excellent. My first notary bailed on our meeting with no warning, and New American had another person out to do the signing within 24 hours, no fuss, no problems, simply getting done what needed done with no prodding.

Daniel was absolutely amazing every step of the way, from our application all the way up to closing. His communication was perfect, frequent and thorough, but not too frequent, and also as succinct as it needed to be. He checked in with us often, answered all of our questions, sometimes over and over again. He always made sure we understood everything and felt very supported. We had some unusual struggles on our end, due to waiting for our sellers' new home to be finished and then dealing with the sellers' having problems with their loans. I ended up having to pay points to keep my interest rate and I asked George to check on it and see why I’m all the sudden having to pay a fee and it never got fixed. I ended up eating the 1,600 because everything had taken so long at that point. I was worn out and wanted to just be done. Not impressed.. Riana ** on the other hand made up for all the poor support from everybody else.

I was told that several, companies were involved with this also.. I.e.. one of them was to verify something from my bank. I was this was very important. When we s-one the individual called my credit union with me unannounced. We had to wait about 15-16 minutes to get a person. It was very confusing as to why. When om my bank came on, my person inquired about my account. It caught the bank person and me off guard. All she wanted to know was Did I indeed have an account there. Never mind the fact that I had already sent several months of my statements to you. I was embarrassed and I think my bank person was also.

I compared a few lenders for our refinance. Jake ** and his team at NAF were the only ones that treated us like people with goals. They seemed more interested in helping us get into a better loan and making the process easy vs. other lenders who just wanted to make a sale.

Working with Wes was great. Toy was ok, but I had to ask her for updates. What really annoyed me was that the title company sent me checks to send to all my creditors. I had to look up all the account numbers and addresses and send these checks out. Gotta be a better way especially for people who usual pay all their bills electronically.

Our experience with our loan officer was amazing however the processor was horrible. Horrible communication, she gave me incorrect info which my realtor said was incorrect and he was right. Honestly because of her we won’t be using the company again. The loan officer was great and it’s too bad for everyone that one person (processor) made it so bad at the end. Like bad. Our realtor was even frustrated. Not with lender or loan officer but purely processor.

When others failed to respond to email or calls, he stepped in and did their work for them. In my experience, he was the best employee of New American Funding. Amber ** however was terrible to work with. She never answered her phone and rarely answered emails. When answering emails, she never answered the questions that I had asked. She continued to ask for documentation and information that I had already provided her (in some instances multiple times). I found her to be very rude, short and “lost” with no knowledge of what was going on with my application.
