Two checks have been lost in the mail and I keep chasing the Five Star Tax attorney. They’re supposed to call the IRS to follow up and they’re just postponing it. It’s been about six months. Any time I ask the attorney to call me back so we can have a conference call to call the IRS, he's not there. I talked to different people and they promised me something. Three days ago, I talked to another person in charge of the office. He said he was going to call me back the day after at 10 a.m. to have the conference call with the IRS. It never happened. I forwarded to them the letter that IRS sent me and they didn't know what it was. They didn't wanna see what was going on. It passed from one department to another department and nobody gave the right answer. It’s been a bad experience and I’m disappointed. I'm very unhappy with Five Star Tax.

It has been so long, I forgot. But they would get us our money back for all the taxes that we paid when we were still open, and we were one of businesses that were still open during COVID. I would get a message every six months to tell me, “It's the government that's holding back.” We received money once, but it was very little. They stalled. But they still send me something every six months to say, “We're still waiting.” And that's it. We received money once, but they took almost half of it, so there was no benefit. We shouldn't have done this to begin with, because if I knew they would take half the money, I wouldn't even bother.

Their customer support was good. They were informative and they got the result they said they could. The process was easy. It took a couple of hours to read through paperwork and sign documents. Eventually, a check showed up and they got my tax refund or tax credit. However, there was an issue at the end where I thought the money had already been deducted, but they didn't invoice me correctly or they had the wrong email. I never had a copy of the invoice, and then they called me later saying I owed them. That part, they didn't do well.

I spoke with Enzo today about a possible reduction in my federal taxes. Unfortunately, because of my current situation, there are no options for me other than paying down the debt.
