No surprise that the overwhelming majority of the reviews are one star. I suspect that's because half stars can't be given. Chase "made an error" and charged the account of a non-profit business (a church) $300+ in fees. They said "the system won't allow them" to refund that money because the error was noticed more than a year later. The company is basically a professional thief. I pity those who have to work there, because they are part of it and are liable for what this company does.

I filed a fraud claim (almost 400 bucks) and the place that my card was used at was whiling to help but Chase wouldn’t do anything about it. Literally told me I had to get in touch with the merchant. The merchant couldn’t give me the person's name due to HiPPA as far as where the money was applied. Chase wouldn’t even try to help me get my money back.

This bank does not even deserve a 1 star. This is the worst bank as far as every aspect of it from customer service to the leadership. I am disabled, homeless, and I have been waiting two years for my case to be approved. It was approved, and I received my back pay from the United States Treasury Department in the amount of 5 figures, which I opened an account at Chase instead of going through my Chime account. I was informed that there would be a hold put on my account as well as the check to verify funds.

I knew there probably would be a hold, but not a 7 day hold to verify funds drawn on a Treasury Department check. I received numerous different answers from Chase members from the branch all the way to the fraud department. I called today 1/13/26 and spoke with a gentleman in customer service who was rude, condescending, and acted as if I was interrupting him because there was a lot of loud talking and laughing in the background, so I hung up.

Then I called the fraud department and spoke with a lady named Saba. She started out ok, then after catching her in multiple lies regarding the verification of the funds at the Treasury Department, and her stating that there have been multiple Treasury Dept. check bounce, and that they cant verify the funds because the Treasury Dept won't give them any information on my account, and that they have tried to verify the funds numerous times starting yesterday when I deposited the check which is a lie, because I was told they can't verify funds until it has posted, which didn't occur until early this morning.

I spoke with Janet a supervisor in the fraud department, and she told me that they can't do anything to help me and I have to wait until 1/22/26 for my funds to be released. This is highly unacceptable, because I am homeless, living on the streets of Denver, and I could use MY MONEY to get a place to live, a vehicle to get around in and basically get my life and freedom back, but Chase is dangling my money in front of my face and thinking it's funny. This bank could care less about their customers, and I have contacted the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and filed a complaint against Chase. If you are looking to open an account with Chase, take it from a disabled homeless man, DO NOT DO IT!!!!

This bank is by far the biggest lying, fraudulent financial institution known to man, and it shows by their over 2000 ONE STAR reviews. Whoever at Chase that reads these reviews, on 1/22/26 when my funds are released, MARK MY WORDS, I WILL GO INTO A BRANCH AND WITHDRAW EVERY LAST CENT AND CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT AND GO TO A COMPETING BANK THAT WANTS MY BUSINESS AND THE MONTHLY DIRECT DEPOSITS OF FUNDS FOR MY DISABILITY!!!! You should be ashamed of yourself, treating people like garbage and not human beings, and think you have the right to hold their money and can have it when you see fit!!! You should be put out of business..

I don’t know how Chase can claim to be a major financial institution while operating like a small outdated mom-and-pop office. I recently had several issues with them, but the most frustrating was them need a full week to clear a check from my insurance company so I could replace my vehicle. I’m pretty sure any major bank should be able to verify a check, especially when it’s one they received directly from a major insurer (USAA), and I know most banks do. Following on, I put a down payment on a vehicle but it was sold to someone else, but now Chase needs three days to process the refund. I mean, no other bank seems to have these issues. Kinda sounds like Chase Bank is in trouble AGAIN. Chase consistently finds ways to hold on to customers money so that they can use it for the banks own investments as long as they can.

I initially went to this bank, with a 250K deposit after my husband died. My brother and I were PROMISED that we would have the SAME person caring for our financial needs and questions, as a ‘private banker’. Nothing could have been further from the truth! As hardships do occur on a ranch (my husband left me running a cattle ranch/wheat farm) as time has progressed, they have become increasingly RUDE when we have issues or questions. Transfers from our other bank to theirs, they place 10 days holds on bank to bank transfers. Today, a customer service agent told me he was not going to service my call, as I ask him to be quiet and LISTEN to the issue. I am going to consult with my brother, but I believe we are going to leave this lying, no service bank and SOON! BEWARE of their promises of services - they lie!

I am extremely disappointed with Chase Bank’s lack of accountability and poor customer service regarding a serious ATM deposit error. I deposited 9 checks made payable to my business at a Chase ATM. The ATM ate all of the checks, forcing me to file a claim. Only 4 of the 9 checks were credited back to my account. 5 checks were missing, despite the fact that a Chase claims representative later confirmed she could see 4 of the missing 5 checks in their system and could not explain why the investigation failed to include them.

I was explicitly told that $300 would not be withdrawn from my account while this was being resolved. Despite that assurance, the money was taken anyway. Since then, I have spoken to four different Chase representatives, none of whom were able to help. When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told one might call me back in 1–2 business days. This is unacceptable when Chase’s own ATM caused the problem and my business funds are being mishandled. This experience shows a complete lack of ownership, communication, and urgency. For a major bank, this level of customer service — especially for a business account — is alarming. I would strongly caution other business owners before trusting Chase with their deposits.

    Reviewed Dec. 26, 2025

I have had nothing but problems with Chase from the very beginning, and at this point I genuinely don’t understand how this bank is considered “reputable.” From day one, it has been one issue after another, and every single time I reach out for help, I’m met with incompetence, indifference, and a complete lack of accountability. It started immediately when I opened my account. My debit card was lost in the mail, something that was not my fault in any way. Instead of Chase handling this smoothly like any competent bank should, it became the beginning of a nightmare. Endless calls, conflicting information, and zero urgency. I was essentially treated like my problem wasn’t important, even though it was their system and their delivery process that failed.

Then came the wire transfers — or should I say, the wire transfers that never go through. No matter what I do, no matter how many times I confirm information, Chase finds a way to block, delay, or completely stop my wires. For a bank that claims to support businesses and serious customers, this is beyond embarrassing. Wire transfers are a BASIC banking function, yet Chase’s fraud department seems incapable of allowing legitimate transactions to go through without creating chaos.

The fraud department deserves its own paragraph because it is hands-down one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever dealt with. They freeze accounts without warning, provide vague non-answers, and refuse to explain what’s wrong or how to fix it. Every representative gives a different story. One person says to wait 24 hours, another says 48, another says I need to go into a branch, and then the branch says they can’t do anything. It’s a never-ending loop of finger-pointing and excuses. What makes this even worse is how unhelpful and dismissive everyone is. No empathy. No solutions. No follow-through. Just scripted responses and an attitude that makes it clear they don’t care how much time, money, or stress they’re costing you. I’ve spent HOURS on the phone repeating myself to multiple departments, only to get absolutely nowhere.

Chase loves to advertise security and protection, but what they really deliver is inconvenience, dysfunction, and customer punishment. Legitimate customers are treated like criminals, while the bank hides behind “fraud prevention” as an excuse for its broken systems and poorly trained staff. At this point, Chase has cost me time, money, opportunities, and peace of mind. Banking should not feel like a constant battle, yet every interaction with Chase leaves me more frustrated than the last. If you value your sanity, your business, or your ability to access your own money, stay far away from Chase. There are plenty of banks that actually know how to operate — Chase is not one of them. I regret ever opening an account here, and I will be closing it as soon as I can and they let me.

How Chase Bank ruined our Christmas. Let me preface this for context. I’ve been banking with Chase for upwards of 15+ years, from personal to business even had my children open their first accounts with them. However all that ended today. I am small business owner of a barbershop, over the last few years our industry has seen a significant drop off due to rising cost and so forth. While it has been difficult at times we have been able to manage due to our amazing client base and support from the community.

Well as the holiday season was quickly approaching things were getting tight. We had been presented with an opportunity to move locations to a better building and location we just couldn’t pass up. However it required a lot of our savings to be able to make it happen. But nevertheless we weighed the pros and cons and decided it was something we just couldn’t pass up so we went through with it.

Christmas was around the corner and having kids we didn’t want to disappoint them with not having any thing under the tree or a Christmas dinner. So after a few days of brainstorming we decided we would offer some of our clients a special deal of hair services for a year if they were able to make a one time pre payment. That would land us some extra cash in hand and help us continue our holiday traditions.

Everything, was going as planned when a client asked if he could just put the payment his card. I’ve been using quick accept for some time now and hadn’t had to many issues with the service, so I thought no problem easy. That’s was when all the problems started. Usually the funds are deposited around 7pm (PST) or so daily. I’m some instances it could take the next day. Well we planned to do some last minute gift and grocery shopping later that night as we had (so we thought) the funds now to cover it. We we’re excited and relieved that our clients had come through for us.

Well that night (12/23/2025) the funds were not released into the accounts. Which again had rarely happened. But I figured it would probably be the next morning, it wasn’t. So I went to the app to check and noticed one of the payments was “on hold pending investigation”. I immediately called customer support to see what the issue was.

After being shuffled around I finally got a person on the phone who was telling me the account had been flagged and I should of received and email outlining the fact I need to contact my client and get personal information from them also a written statement of the transaction until then my account was suspended! I didn’t receive any email. I let her know there was no email she had me check spam folder in which I did but nothing.

Since this was the end of day she said there was nothing more she could do and the department that handles these “investigations” doesn’t have a number to call and can only be reached by email! But I was welcome to call back tomorrow or email them and hope they could expedite but most like not since it take 3-5 days for them to respond. I was in shock. I explained to her that these funds were very important and we were dependent on them for our holiday. She did not care and just kept insisting I just email them it was out of her hands.

So the next day (12/24/25) I called again that morning to confirm they had received my email and if the funds would be deposited. I was again met with the “it’s out of our hands” speech and told him d have to wait for an email that would not arrive until 9am (12/25/25). Which basically stated they needed my to call my client on Christmas get him to bring me a hand written note saying he paid for services along with all his personal information including card number, and all the information you would need to charge a payment. Of course my client was not comfortable with that request at all it was intrusive and unprofessional to say the least and that he was expected to interrupt his celebration to meet these requests. We were both in awe that Chase would do something like this.

A few more emails as I informed them I would make a post addressing this situation. I got a reply that pretty much said, we could care less about how important these funds are, your account is suspended until we get required information and not only is that payment not processed but none of the payments for the last 4 days will be deposited. Which left us with 0 income for the holiday. And there was nothing we could do about it.

As of today (12/26/25) after sending them all the documents I had access to (minus my clients personal information) we still have not received our funds. And the cherry on top. Some automatic payments for the business went through and we now are facing over draft charges. Chase left us with out funds and now an over-drafted account with fees pending. Not to mention a very disappointed family.

I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the unacceptable and unprofessional service I received this morning from multiple representatives. On this date, I contacted customer service beginning at approximately 8:15 a.m. During my calls, I spoke with three representatives—Jennifer (who stated she was a supervisor), Olivia, and Kaitlyn. The level of professionalism displayed by all three was extremely disappointing. I was provided with conflicting and inaccurate information, and at times I felt that I was being misled by each representative.

Following these calls, I went into the branch for assistance, where I was further mistreated by an employee named Marlene (Newark Branch on Board Street). Although I was visibly frustrated due to the ongoing issues, I remained calm and respectful throughout the entire process. What should have been a simple five-minute adjustment resulted in over two hours of unnecessary stress, confusion, and inconvenience. I have never experienced such difficulty simply trying to access my own funds, and the behavior of your staff left me feeling as though I should close my account entirely.

I respectfully request that the calls from this morning be reviewed—as they began around 8:15 a.m.—and that appropriate action be taken to address the conduct of the employees involved. I hope no other customer will have to endure an experience as unpleasant as mine. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to a prompt response and resolution.

Experienced an unbelievable waste of time with Chase today. I tried and tried to find an intelligent person to help and I literally had 4 hours and 8 phone calls and got nowhere. There is literally no way to talk to someone who can get past the computer screen telling them what to do next. So they have a problem with fraud when getting gift cards for your rewards points.

After 10 years they decided the same computer is no longer secure and I couldn't get the gift cards for Christmas presents. BUT I have 2 Chase cards and I was able to order some of the cards on the same computer. Then of course they framed my card and I couldn't use it. Another 2 hours of phone calls. They are so stupid that they continually asked me for my SS number for my wife's card. When I told them they don't have my number and they needed to talk to my wife they frauded the card. Then of course they called me and thought they were calling her. IT IS MUCH WORSE THAN THIS.

This announcement is to all existing customers with JPMorgan Chase Bank. As 2025 is coming to an end, it’s time for everyone to demand accountability from our financial institutions. Many customers are experiencing unfair account closures resulting in permanent bans from opening new accounts. Worse case scenario, all of these affected customers are currently being denied with the right to an appeals process. Banks cannot continue doing this kind of inappropriate behavior with customers that haven’t faced these problems yet. There should be a law that allows customers to not only appeal wrongful closures, but at the same time, be given an opportunity for reinstatement.

There is an active petition on ** regarding this issue. Even if banks insist that account closure decisions are final, these affected customers should be given with the right to an appeals process. This type of behavior should be made illegal by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. I encourage everyone to sign the change.org petition with the following title: “End unjust bank account closures — Demand Consumer Protections Now!”. With your support, we can push for laws that protect consumers and ensure fair treatment. Everyone deserves a “Second Chance.”

It has now been almost 6 months since I reported obvious, blatant fraud on my elderly mother's checking account and Chase has done NOTHING to rectify the situation. She was obviously the victim of some kind of identity theft or fraud. She does not make online purchases and Chase's security systems, that they claim to be sophisticated, failed to detect the fraud by "YOULEND.COM" and "BUYATTERRYPLACE.COM," 2 foreign entities. This should have raised red flags immediately as she never had valid foreign transaction fees on her account before. Instead, their bogus claims department allegedly conducted an "investigation" and concluded that the charges were legitimate.

Most abhorrently, when I asked what this supposed "investigation" consisted of, no one could respond. Because obviously there was no investigation. A simple google search of the entity "BUYATTERRYPLACE.COM" clearly shows that this a fraudulent entity. Yet Chase approved the charges even after alerted to the obvious fraud. Apparently JP Morgan Chase is complicit with this fake entity and is using it to defraud the elderly. BEWARE IF YOU HAVE ELDERLY RELATIVES banking with Chase. They have no problem letting elderly clients be swindled. The $5,000 they allowed to be robbed from my mother's account is a pittance to them, but a lot to an elderly widow on a budget.

I replied with, "I just was to another location closer to my vessel and was able to get funds from my account with no problem but she was persistent about this check and just like she predicted it happened."

I ended up leaving her and running into a great assistant and wonderful help, Ms. ** who ask me to step in her office to be assisted. She ask for 2 forms of id and did so she could to get my funds. Unfortunately, the fraudulent department wouldn't allow me to receive my funds through digital wallet at the ATM nor will they allow me to transfer funds to a friend to get to my kids. All that happened 10/6/25 and here I am 10/8/25 with no funds to buy my lunch and no funds to get to my kids which was a critical situation. If I could give Chase negative stars, I would. I’ve banked with Chase for over 40 years, with multiple personal and business accounts, and what happened this week was beyond unacceptable. I opened a new business in August and opened a business checking account with Chase, just like I’ve done many times before. Two days ago, I received a random email saying my account was being closed — with zero explanation. I assumed it was a scam until I called the official 800 number. Unfortunately, it was real. Chase closed my account and refuses to tell me why, despite the account having thousands of dollars in it.

There are no legal issues, the company has a brand-new federal tax ID, it’s in good standing with the state, and the account was always positive. After getting nowhere with an offshore call center, I went to my local branch. Even the banker who opened the account couldn’t access any information. I emailed the branch manager, who never responded, and only took my call two days later — yet still didn’t answer my questions.

The complete lack of transparency is infuriating. After running millions of dollars through Chase over more than three decades, this is how they treat long-term customers. I look forward to the next time a Chase salesperson approaches me at a networking event. I’ll gladly share how Chase closes accounts without warning, offers no explanation, and shows absolutely no regard for customer loyalty.

Banks in general are terrible for a trustee to navigate but Chase is the worst. They never sent any reminders about updating beneficiary, so I did not know and the owner I am sure forgot all about it. Apparently a beneficiary was put on the account years ago before the will was written. They will not reveal the beneficiary, they will not make any effort to contact the beneficiary, they did not allow me to put the account into the trust even when she was still alive. They insist I go to a branch who will in turn communicate with their legal dept. I did that multiple times. I am a civil engineer by profession, a college graduate, and someone who works daily to earn my income through legitimate and verifiable means. There is nothing in my financial behavior, transaction history, deposits, or transfers that should reasonably classify me as suspicious or high-risk. If my account activity had been properly reviewed, it would confirm there are no fraud cases, chargebacks, disputes, unauthorized access reports, or irregular deposits.

The distressing part was not account closure, but the complete lack of notice, communication, and transparency throughout the process. Front-line support channels such as Chase Customer Service also failed to provide basic clarity on why my account was flagged. Regardless of internal risk policies, customers deserve timely notice, transparent reasoning, and respectful treatment when their personal funds are involved. My money was earned through personal hard work, not suspicious activity, and I should not have to navigate uncertainty around my own funds without explanation. I've had Chase for 5 years and it's the worst bank I've ever had. I have had more than 12 fraudulent charges go through in the past 2 years, but Chase denies my charges that are actually me from a company that I bought for for 2 years straight every month. A fraudulent charge from Hong Kong went through on my account for $102.98. Somehow Chase let that go through. Again, Hong Kong. So I call and Chase reverses the charge and a month later recharges me that amount. Chase says that the company gave evidence that I'm the one that made the purchase. I have a police report from my purse being stolen with my phone in it. The purchase was made 1 day after the theft but instead of Chase contacting me and saying, well the merchant is giving this evidence saying it was you, which is absolutely impossible how can they prove it was me, and then allow me to give them the police report showing the facts of my belongings, they didn't.

They just reverse the charge again and charged me $102.98 for an item that was bought fraudulently from Hong kong, a sex toy store. I am disgusted with Chase. With the amount of money that I have in that account at all times, I refuse to stay with them. I will be withdrawing all of my money except for $10. Once my last direct deposit goes through, I'll completely close the account. This is disgusting. They never should have allowed a charge from Hong Kong to go through in the first place. But yet they continue to decline my charges that I'm actually making. Be very careful with chase people because they continue to allow fraudulent charges to go through and you may end up like me and have to pay for a fraudulent charge.

When you call customer service, the people that you get, can barely speak English, their accents are so heavy it's hard to understand them, and they don't know how to speak proper English so you don't know what they're saying. That's a problem. But then again Chase hires people outside the country so they can save money instead of bringing jobs to the United States. Another reason I'm leaving Chase. BE CAREFUL, CHASE ALLOWS FRAUDULENT CHARGES TO GO THROUGH ON YOUR ACCOUNT. I'VE HAD 12 IN 2 YEARS!!!

Chase is one of the worst banks I've done business with. I finally had enough and closed all my accounts with them. Their fees are ridiculous, they don't seem to know the meaning of customer service, and their policies are clearly designed to separate you from your money, and for all of this they don't make up for the terrible service and policies with better interest rates. I won't give the whole laundry list, but I will provide three examples of why Chase is a terrible bank to do business with:

    1) Chase still owes me about $100 that I'll never be able to collect from them. When I closed my business account, they had a balance owed me on the credit card. I said that was no problem, I would just keep the card active until I used the credit. Nope, they refused to apply that credit toward a future bill stating they had to write a check to me. OK, again, no problem -- until they wrote the check to the BUSINESS name of the account I had closed! A check Chase Bank refused to cash since I didn't have a business account anymore. Even though my business was a sole proprietorship, Chase refused (and refuses) to write the check to me, refuses to apply the owed funds toward a bill -- in short refuses to pay the owed money in any way that will enable me to actually get it.

    2) Recently I took a check I (unfortunately) accepted from a Chase account holder to a Chase bank. When I presented the check, Chase refused to cash it for full face value -- not because the account holder lacked the funds but because I was not a Chase customer! They don't care that the draft was written on Chase paper, nor do they care that they have the money the account holder wrote a legal draft tendering those funds to me. Nope, Chase doesn't care and wouldn't give me the money. I ended up taking the check to my bank instead. What does it matter? Well, if somehow the person who wrote the check did give me a bad check, I have to wait several days to find that out instead of knowing right away that the funds are actually good. This places me at risk.

    3) If you want to file a complaint, it is impossible to get through to anybody. Even the bank MANAGER was unable to provide me with a number to reach somebody. He didn't really believe me until I dialed the number in front of him. Then he tried several other numbers -- and was unable to reach anybody even with his special priority code! He then filed an electronic submission from his bank computer, and told me somebody would call me back. That was days ago...not holding my breath.

As a former small business owner, I truly HATE writing negative reviews, but... I contacted Certified Diesel to have them come out to do a diagnosis and repair on my generator. I was required to put a credit card on file in order to have them come out. At that point, I knew I would be charged $180/ hour plus travel time. The day of the service, I was called by the representative at the 0259 number that they had a technician in the area and he could drop by to see me thus saving me the travel charge. He arrived about 12:30pm and left about 2:00pm.

I was then sent the invoice and my card was automatically charged. But the Invoice did not detail the hours or time, only the work that was accomplished. I then followed up to text the 4508 number I had previously corresponded with about service. That person replied with more detail that I was charged for 2.5 hours and 2.5 hours of overtime and referred me to the 0259 number for further clarification. After several phone calls with that person, all he could say was his technician turned in 6 hours worth of time for my job. I have since asked for a more detailed invoice of hours with no response.

I tried to dispute the charge with my CC company based on the fact that I was not told I would have to pay for any overtime hours. I agree to pay the 2.5 hours at the original rate of $180/ hour plus 3% administrative fee. Though the technician was only there 1.5-1.75 hours. I have witnesses from 3 others on my dock that all talked to the technician as he was leaving. In a further attempt to prove the time he arrived and left, if necessary, our dock does have security cameras and I can request footage from the office, though this might be difficult, I am that convicted in my recollection of the day that I know the cameras would prove me right.

I am not denying I owe them for their services, but it is unfair to be expecting an hourly charge and receive an invoice that does not even reflect the hours served. The CC company denied my dispute because they said the CC authorization "allows them to charge me anything they want". This is not how I interpreted the CC authorization form at the time that we signed it, nor do I interpret it that way now.

The worst bank in the world! I made an electronic deposit and two days later my accounts were restricted and closed soon after. All due to the fact as I was told by Chase fraud dept that the issuing party (bank check was from) did not respond electronically within 24 hours when the verification process began. Since the issuing bank did not respond this automatically flagged my accounts as a big fraud threat. Well this check was issued by the IRS from the United States Treasury and may have been delayed because the government is shut down.

However, I took this check a few days later to a check cashing store and using the same system Chase uses it was verified in minutes. Chase, people are human and make mistakes. If a Chase employee mis entered info or something you should own it. There was nothing wrong with that check. You forcibly lost a customer with 4 accounts who never had an overdrawn account and all credit card payments have been on time for many many years. This has been the absolute worst experience ever. I would never ever recommend Chase Bank to my worst enemy. Oh one last thing.... they told me I can not ever open a Chase account again. - ever. All due to a check deposit that the funds never even hit my account. There was zero risk.

Here's why: I drive all the way to a Chase bank to talk to someone in person since I am not much into online banking and devices. I also feel safer doing banking right at the bank! It took about 15 minutes for the paperwork and the employee was friendly. In the end the superior confirmed the transaction. All settled, all done. NOOO! 20 min later I get several texts and calls and an Email from Chase. The wire is on hold, I need to call back.

Two calls and 45 minutes later I was not happy at all! How unprofessional Chase is. They made me feel like I am doing something criminal instead of being a valued Customer! Some strong accent (**?) people asking me very personal questions like what I am doing with this money!?! And how often am I wiring and where does the money come from? Well Chase, THIS IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!!! I transferred from my account to my account at another bank! I drove back to the bank asking for the supervisor and told my story. I will close my accounts at Chase! They forgot why they have a business and who's bringing the money to make them exist! You do not treat your customers like this! Goodbye!

My personal banker deferred me to customer service department, I supposed not wanting to deal with the issue. I didn't get far with the CS either basically telling me that it was my fault that I didn't specify the payment had to go out that particular day???

I've been banking with other institutions and have never encountered this issue. Instead, they would inform me that my account would be debited a day or two prior the due date, if needed in order not to miss it. There was no such warning or indication here so I assumed when you schedule a bill payment for a specific date, it would actually reach its destination on time. I got the run-around basically blaming ME for being careless? My multiple calls and insistence to speak to a supervisor went only as far as a promise to file a report with the complaint department, which will take 3 to 5 business days with no promises of a resolution. This is a horrible way to treat your long time loyal customer, or any customer for that matter. Very disappointed and considering to close my accounts altogether.

This is my working capital on hold, it pays my bills, mortgage and everything. Chase for the last two weeks have accepted monthly pos overdrawing my account and tacking on overdraft fees while a $15,000 deposit sits in their so-called BS limbo account, while they check to see if their 27-year customer is depositing fake checks.

I assume it was a hold because fuel stations do that. It never changed so I called the fraud department of Chase and the lady whose English wasn’t that great repeatedly tells me there’s nothing they can because I don’t have a receipt. So I have to prove to my bank that I didn’t get $70 worth of fuel instead of the store proving that I didn’t get get $70 worth of fuel because there’s no way they could. Also the store's number was just an automated message that told me to call my bank. Thanks for looking out for my money Chase.

I deposit a check from that bank and because I'm an account holder they hold the money but if I take the check and I don't hold accounts there I get the money immediately. That explains itself and the character of this bank. Not a customer concerned bank. More concerned about getting new customers and that's because they can't keep current ones.

Coming from Australia with a modern, seamless and cutting edge banking sector, and having experience in several other nations, the archaic and bureaucratic nature of Chase in the USA is a nightmare. Avoid if you can and look for a smaller more innovative customer focused bank. They may be big, but bigger is certainly not better in this case.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Chase is absolutely horrendous. One time I disputed a purchase that hadn’t arrived and was lost in transit. The item arrived a week later after the dispute was filed. After providing MULTIPLE receipts and proof they told me that the merchant had refunded me. This was false and they still denied my claim. After showing transcripts, RECEIPTS and tracking information they said, “The merchant says they won’t pay us so we charge you.” WHAT SENSE DOES THAT MAKE.

Follow up with today where I had to file a dispute because I placed a stop payment on something 2 weeks ago. They allowed the charges to go through after REVIEWING THE STOP PAYMENT AND SEEING IT’S THE SAME MERCHANT because “the merchant charged again saying you owe the money”.. A stop payment that you charged me a fee for should trump any of that. And the verbiage they used isn’t correct so that claim could get denied too even though there’s a stop payment in place. At this point I'm looking for another bank.

To whom it may concern, The scam started on September 10. They Threatened then intimidated me that accounts would be set up if I didn’t listen to them, thousands of dollars will be taken out of my account through Zelle. I just got scammed on my Chase account got a phone call number. Said it was from Chase. Told me that I was being hacked in New York through my Zelle account phone number and they needed to give me cancellation codes for two attempts under 1000 each. Scared the heck up me and convince me to go along with him. Gave me some cancellation codes to give to Zelle. Gave me a number for Zelle. Called Zelle so continued. Did some maneuvering through my Zelle account. Nothing happened. They said they will call me tomorrow on the 11th and they would straighten everything out.

Talk to them about 10 3011 on the 11th. Went through my account. All different numbers they gave me to send to their supervisor. Finally three went through from Zelle and the other one went through. They used APPLE. They told me everything was successful and within an hour till they’ll call me back and they’ll complete securing my accounts. This was completed about 12. 1 o’clock took a shower in the shower. Thought of something to ask. Call the number back. They gave me for Zelle and they wouldn’t answer. Wouldn’t answer. Wouldn’t answer but very nervous called my Chase original number for my credit card and went to the fraud department and they told me they had no such fraud number, no activity and I needed it. I was scammed and they needed to make a case number and to draw the money back.

There will be no problem with Zelle, but APPLE I would have to go through direct. I did so and to make no long story short no response from no one, money went through, went to the bank, got to run around for the bank. Teller and from the Bank Vice President. Got the runaround from the fraud department within an hour. It was three days before anyone from the bank got back to me. We were the claim was refused with a short electronic response. Unbelievable customer relations in hours. They decline my claim them then they reviewed. It supposedly again knocked it down again an electronic message through my account not even the decency for good customer relationship through a letter or a phone call.

Total protocol was being done to me. Chase was definitely not going to take responsibility. Have proof of emails from Chase phone number phone calls from Chase from these people. How could they not take responsibility? I'm 80 years old. I’ve been with Chase for 55 years when it was J.P. Morgan and it was just Chase company before they merge. Chase has the worst customer service of any bank on planet Earth. I tried to send a domestic wire transfer for $1,500 (while keeping 10x that amount in my account). This was Chase Bank’s process:
    1. I submitted the transfer online.
    2. Chase denied the transfer for no reason and sent me an email saying “try again.”
    3. I tried again. Then heard nothing for 24 hours, so assumed it went through.
    4. A spammy Chase number left me a voicemail to call them about potential fraud.
    5. I called, spoke with three people over 26 minutes, and was told the transfer would go through.
    6. Three hours later, I got another message saying to call Chase. Since I was near a branch, I went in.
    7. The private banker told me he wasn’t authorized to help and suggested I call Chase fraud from his desk. I had my debit card, ID, etc. with me.
    8. I called, was transferred three more times, and after 25 minutes was told the transfer would go through soon.
    9. Three hours later, I got a call saying the transfer did not go through, and I needed to call Chase again.
    10. I called again, was transferred three more times, spent another 25 mins, and was told to call back the next day.
    11. I called the next morning (now more than 72 hours into this ordeal). And after two transfers and 30 minutes on hold, Chase dropped the call - it hung up on me.
    12. I called back. After two transfers and 30 minutes more, I was told Chase would call me back.

    13. Chase called, asked me the same security questions I’d been asked for three days, and finally told me—for the first time—that the recipient account had been associated with fraud. They said my recipient might not get the funds and that it wouldn’t be Chase’s responsibility.

Why didn’t Chase tell me this immediately instead of wasting six hours of my time? Better yet, why allow transfers to accounts flagged for fraud at all? The website should say something like: “This account has been associated with fraud. The minimum first transfer allowed is $100, which you may lose." Then, if that transfer succeeds, they can increase the transfers incrementally, like Zelle does. Chase would only do something this logical if they didn't detest their clients - unfortunately, they absolutely hate us.

Chase has not figured out fraud prevention and instead puts the burden and frustration on customers. They are, without exaggeration, the worst bank I have ever dealt with. If Chase truly wants to improve customer experience, they need to fix their entire system. Right now, it feels like they have no interest in improving, and that they actively try to create nightmares for their clients. Their website is also a joke. They should take a look at Metro Bank UK, which offers the best banking experience in the world.

Chase has gone completely downhill. My problems started from the very beginning. When I first set an appointment at the McPherson branch, the banker sat in his office doing nothing while we waited in the lobby. The receptionist kept asking if he was going to take us, and he said, “yes, when their appointment time is.” Then, five minutes before my appointment, another customer walked in and he helped them instead. I got up and walked out. Ten minutes after my appointment time, he called saying he was “ready now.” I told him I had already left — my time is just as valuable as his. Thankfully, the Granbury branch treated me better and helped me immediately.

Unfortunately, things only got worse. Earlier this year I opened a business account, and just last week I opened another. To fund it, I deposited a money order from my other bank. Chase immediately placed a hold on the deposit, then notified me they were closing the account.

I was out of town, so I called for help. The rep I spoke with was rude, dismissive, and offered no solutions. When I returned and went into the local branch, I found out Chase made a typo in my business name when setting up the account—leaving off an “s.” Their error caused this entire mess. After over an hour at the bank and multiple calls to my old bank to verify the funds, I was assured the money would be released that day or the next.

Of course, it wasn’t. I called the number they gave me, only to be hung up on after being on hold. No one called me back. I tried again—same thing. When I asked one rep if Chase would call me back if we got disconnected, I was told “No, it’s Chase’s policy not to return calls.” Absolutely absurd.

After pushing for help, I was told my money wouldn’t be released for 7 more days because “it’s a new account” and “there’s nothing they can do.” When I demanded a supervisor, I was put on hold for 45 minutes with no resolution.

This is by far the worst banking experience I’ve ever had. Chase made the mistake with my account, yet I’m the one being punished with no access to my own money and zero accountability from anyone. The lack of professionalism, constant hang-ups, and refusal to help customers is beyond unacceptable.

If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Chase. They are no longer the bank they once were.

My Family member disputed the transaction as soon as Chase notified me that they flagged the transaction and shut off my payment processing ability. Then they ran a Zelle transaction twice after messaging me the first transaction was denied and flagged from fraud. I had to get my account unblocked and was instructed to run the payment a second time.

After they unlocked my account they processed but the first and second transaction even though they notified me the first one was denied and they would not credit the first transfer back to my account. Fortunately the contractor I was paying was honest and after waiting a week for the results of the dispute he returned the money. This bank has been horrible. The only reason I still bank with them is because I moved my credit card processing to Quickbooks through my CPA and they staff at my local branch are amazing especially the Private Client manager Anna **. Mortgage overview is as follows- My loan officer went away for 3 weeks about 2 weeks after I started the process. I was told at least 10 times that I could lower my rate by moving funds into Chase’s investments. Weeks later somebody finally told me that my investments didn’t qualify. Weeks after that, after I asked more questions, they acknowledged they were wrong and it would qualify. Unfortunately, Chase’s service fees are much higher, negating any potential reduction in interest rate.

I replied to many secured messages, only to find out that their secured message emails don’t work. Having a large corporation like Chase can’t figure that out is beyond me. And they never acknowledge the secure emails don’t work or why it’s put on their website until I kept telling them that I gave them the information they have requested multiple times already.

Duplicate request on a daily occurrence during the process increasing my frustration. I was given so much bad information that I feel it’s a miracle my loan was approved, although it only got approved a day before we closed on the house. So many managers were involved in everyone told me what I wanted to hear, but never came through. A manager brought up the atonement process and said she would request I get my good faith funds of $500 returned. After that, she ghosted me and I never heard from her again. I was later told that the request for the good faith funds being returned was made twice, but denied twice, without ever telling me or keeping me updated.

I found the contact info for the escalation team, which took 17 weeks to give me an answer which was, no return of the good faith funds, but as part of their atonement process, they’ve sent me a Bluetooth speaker complete with giant Chase logo that sells at Walmart for $29. I signed in and sent an email to Chase asking for confirmation they had received the transfer. Their response was this is not something that can be handled and "require the expertise of our Retirement Services specialists" with a number to call.

This department tells me a different department handles that "because it is on the bank side" (whatever that means) and connects me with Derrick who informs me that I cannot have a fax number because that is not the way Chase handles this type of transaction. To Jamie Dimon, your bank security guards are supposed to help and protect your customers, not mock and insult them. If parents and schools don't teach them well enough, then at least Chase Bank the employer here, should give them the necessary training, the JP Morgan Chase’s code of conduct is not a useless fake decoration. Maybe in the end nothing will change, and everyone will pretend nothing happened. After all, in the eyes of some people, customers are not as important as they claim. Losing some customers will not affect my year-end bonus, right?

Chase has been nothing but a headache for my business. They refuse to help fix my POS system, leaving me unable to run cards for 24 hours at a time. They said the system had to update and since they have new software they can't override anything. That means lost sales and thousands of dollars gone for me. Completely unacceptable. I am closing my POS account and taking my business elsewhere. Don't use CHASE POS.
