I have ordered from Belk on 12/01/15 and they shipped on 12/3/15. Will not be here before Christmas. I have order from Bass Pro on 12/16 and this will also not be here before Christmas. All the ordered I placed with business that used UPS have been here on time or even early!! I have called FEDEX only to have them be rude and did not care to say that is all they can do. I have told the companies that if they choose to use FedEx in the future that I will not be ordering from them. I must say that UPS has all my respect now. I believe if FedEx couldn't handle the load they should of outsourced to UPS.

My name is Daniel. I live at the Summit Apartments in Antioch. I waited up all day Saturday until 8pm for FedEx to deliver my packages. Been up since 7:45pm Friday because I work 9pm-5am. My packages NEVER came. When I wake up Sunday morning to go for my walk, I check the statuses and they say delivered signed by office. My office opens at 1pm so I said to myself I'll get them then. Well when I pass by at 8am there's a bunch of packages that looked like they were thrown up there. My two packages were there and one was torn open. Just laying there at the front door of leasing office. And I have pictures. Sent them to the local news. Hopefully they follow up.

My package was scheduled to arrive on Dec.18th, then the 19th, now it's pending! It was shipped (according to the email from zulily) on Dec 10th. Last I checked it was in transit from Greenville SC; which is only 45 minutes away from my home. Pending...really FedEx. I also signed up for notifications about my packages delivery, locations, etc. Never has received one and I signed up months ago. I hate with a passion to see that my packages are coming through FedEx. Nothing but a headache.

I sent documents to my mother-in-law in Secunderabad, India via FedEx since it was urgent. The docs were sent on Tuesday afternoon and the promised delivery date was Friday night by 8 pm (local time). The document arrived there Friday morning and my mother-in-law called the local FedEx facility asked them to deliver the docs as soon as possible, after giving them the tracking number. They said they'd deliver by 8 pm that day. Her phone number was also on the tracking label. They didn't even make an attempt to call her if they couldn't find the address. They just said "incorrect address" in the status, at the end of the day. The address was absolutely correct.
She called them again next morning and told them it was urgent. They said they'd deliver very soon, but never showed up. She had to call them 2 more times and threaten that she would report them to the main India office if they didn't come right away. After that, they did come right away. However, it's sad that someone has to call and fight to receive her package. Don't know what they gain by deliberately holding someone's package for almost 2 days. Avoid FedEx to Secunderabad, India if at all possible!

My package should have been delivered in Baltimore on the 16th. It is listed as pending and customer service says it is on a trailer in Hagerstown as yet unloaded. They cannot tell me when it will be unloaded or delivered and act as if extra shipping volume at Christmas is some big surprise. There is no bad weather to hide behind, only terrible planning on the part of the company. I feel sorry for the employees who are probably working very hard in the face of a failed management. FedEx used to be reliable. But no longer.

I placed an order on 11-27 and the scheduled delivery time was 12-8. It is now 12-19 and Fed Ex hasn't even delivered it to my local post office yet. It's been pending transit to my local post office since 12-5. This is ridiculous. I understand how swamped they are during the holidays, but isn't that why they should plan ahead and hire extra people to handle the rush? I doubt I will have my package by Christmas. I will never use FedEx again or businesses that use it if I can help it. Glad to see I am not the only one with this problem.

I'm very disappointed in FedEx. Their service equal to 0. This is not the first time when they left my package in unsecured place and of course when you live in NYC and you don't have a doorman, someone will stole your package. I knew that they would leave my package unattended, that's why I called them to request, before my package will arrive, to hold it at the FedEx location. But they told me not to worry, because they wouldn't leave it unattended. They assure me that delivery guy is not allowed to leave a package somewhere outside or at the lobby and the agent refused to accept my request. So, the next day I checked the status of my package and it says it was allegedly delivered, but I have never received it. I called them right away to find out where my package. They told me that they've already delivered.

My orders were supposed to arrive on Monday. On Wednesday, I called customer service and asked why they put the wrong information on the tracking number. On the website I can read that my four packages were everyday at FedEx facility in Cranbury, NJ, after in the track and after again at FedEx facility in Cranbury, NJ. They also put in information telling me they did not deliver it to my house because "no one was home" when I was home. After my call, they told me it will be on Thursday before 8pm. No one came! I called again, and they told me it would be on Friday, but on Friday they put info in tracking number that they scheduled for next day. One week delay, and I still haven't gotten my packages yet. I used to try and regard FedEx and UPS as the same but as of recently I can safely say UPS and even USPS is even better. What happened? I ordered a package Sunday and it said on both the products website as well as FedEx tracking that it would arrive by Wednesday evening after ordering it Sunday. So I wait, checking the progress every day. Wednesday comes and goes, THURSDAY comes and goes, it's now FRIDAY and the tracking site simply says pending and over the phone it something similar. I don't know if the holidays have to do with it, or what but this is terrible. I've never this bad. I'm annoyed that I paid for 3 day shipping, so I should get it in 3 days!

I have been tracking my package from Sperry sent by FedEx. Initially the package was accepted in Wilmington CT to be sent to Southbury CT on 12/17. I waited all day for the package and in the evening, the tracking changed to PENDING. On Friday, the package ended up in Northborough, Massachusetts. And the delivery date changed to 12/22. I could have driven 45 minutes and picked the package up in Wilmington. When I called they could do nothing but apologize. This is not the first time I have had a problem with FedEx. In the past, I have had a delivery of a package that looked like it went through a war zone. I will not recommend anyone to use FedEx. Use USPS or UPS.

I ordered a few different times from Kohl's online before Christmas. I had two different orders during Cyber Monday week and one two weeks before Christmas. The first two orders Kohl's sent through FedEx SmartPost, and the shipments took forever. I did recently receive one shipment this week, 11 business days after it was ordered. The second FedEx shipment has not been received yet, and the order was placed 9 business days ago and counting. That particular shipment shipped from Middletown, Ohio, went to Michigan (which is odd because I live in North Carolina) and was last checked in West Virginia where it seems to be sitting in limbo. I just don't understand why it has taken so long to ship.
Just to put this in perspective: I ordered another shipment from Kohl's on Monday this week, and it is arriving this evening (Thursday) because this shipment was shipped using UPS ground shipping. I know that it isn't Kohl's either, the shipment is out of their hands after they send it. It's the fact that FedEx obviously doesn't know how to do their job in the most efficient way possible, despite it being the holiday season and tons of people use their services.

I call daily to ask when this package will be scheduled for delivery as my tracking status now says "pending". A few days ago it was scheduled to be delivered and then once again "pending". I have offered to drive to the terminal to pick it up but they tell me not to because they wouldn't be able to locate it for me. I must have some rights regarding how many days they can hang onto a package without delivering it. FedEx should regroup or shut down. This is totally unacceptable. It is as if they were holding my package hostage! I would never use them again.

Bought artwork. Merchant shipped to me packaged extremely well. Shipment fully insured. Artwork delivered cracked. Box had damage upon delivery but FedEx wouldn't make person to person delivery. They insisted I sign in advance or said they would return package to seller. Insurance claim filed and denied, stonewalled by FedEx. They won't pay a dime. Seller files claim on my behalf, again, denied by FedEx. I thought FedEx was reputable company. Now know they engage in bad faith and deceitful business practices. My advice, do not sign and accept any delivery from them until you first open and inspect the goods being delivered. Their insurance is useless. Once you sign accepting a delivery, they will not acknowledge any problems with their service. I will not use FedEx again and their delivery men can wait until I inspect my packages before I sign for delivery.

They delivered a package that has to be signed for at 12 in the afternoon during the time people work. They leave the sticker on the door, it falls off the door and I find it two hours later. I called the 800 number, talked to a FedEx representative, representative said they contacted the driver and says the package will be delivered before 7 that same night. About 45 minutes after, I received a phone call with no ID from FedEx. They stated that I had two options. 1 was to go down to the FedEx office before 7 to pick up the package, or sign the delivery note so they could leave the package the next day. My answer to them was, they should have delivered the package before 7 pm as they originally promised because I paid for it to be delivered not for me to pick up at a location. FedEx is the worst. They deliver when people are at work and don't care about the consumer. My recommendation is to use UPS. Representatives were uncooperative.

Now it is 12/14 2 weeks from Xmas and the packages all say "pending". I called FedEx several times and they say "someone from smart-post will call within 24 hours." I never got one single callback. The packages are supposedly in "Winsor CT" when a "Winsor CT" does not even exist. A "Windsor CT" exists. I asked the supervisor if FedEx isn't embarrassed having such a horrible program that they cannot even spell the name of a city correctly. Everyone is having issues with FedEx. Keep in mind that they are a union based company with no accountability. Unions drive up cost & slow down production. Like everyone else. I can't get my packages either. I know that they will eventually arrive but not in a timely manner. If you remember, request a carrier such as UPS or plan to wait a long time. I have been waiting for a specific package and according to customer service "should be a additional 7 to 10 days. Is there anything else I can help you with?" In other words, not our problem. Absolutely unbelievable. These people make themselves look like complete scam artists. Let me tell you the story of why I will never be using FedEx again. I paid over $250 for 2-way shipping across several states, and insuring the package both ways. It is now 5 days and several lies from them since my package was shipped back and it still isn't back here. It was shipped back on Monday and the original scheduled delivery date was Thursday by the end of the day.
On Thursday, someone came by the house only to tell us that the package was crossed off his list because it was "too big for his vehicle" and that a truck would come by later that same day to deliver it instead. He even came by again a few hours later to tell us that "the truck was making its rounds now." Well, okay, no problems there yet, until it becomes the end of the day (8 PM) and still no package.
Checking the tracking number on the website, it says that no attempt was even made to deliver it at all (???) and it auto-rescheduled the delivery for the day after. It was already a minor annoyance at that point, now that I'm expected to wait at home all day for not one, but two days solely because of their negligence, but it gets worse once I check the tracking number again on that day (today) only for it to tell me that the package was picked up at exactly 8:59 AM and was on transit for delivery.
I wait all day (again) up until 7:20 PM, 40 minutes before the location closes, and it changes its scheduled delivery yet again to "pending" and then shortly after to the next day once more, so I decide to call them. All that the woman on the phone says is that she's sorry and they deliver up until 8:00 PM. So I have to wait until that time, which is when they close, and if I still don't have it, call them back again. Okay. I still didn't have it, and called them back a second time, also realizing that my package has apparently spent over 11 hours on a delivery vehicle without me actually getting my package or any more updates on the tracking number.
I spent about half an hour on hold only for them to, again, be extremely unhelpful, and ultimately just tell me to wait until tomorrow morning to call them back since the store is closed and they can't find out anything about the package or why it's delayed, even though they personally told me to wait until after they were closed to call back in the first place. This goes on through the form of several more phone calls, supposed ETAs both on the site and on the phone, and the only thing they seem to be doing at all is delaying my delivery date constantly.
Some people in this world have jobs, and just because they refuse to do theirs doesn't mean I can keep taking time off mine just to sit at home and wait for a package that will seemingly never come. Their service is absolutely non-existent on the road and completely useless on the phone, and I will be advising against FedEx everywhere I go from now on.

I will start by saying that I have had off and on bad and good experiences with FEDEX. That being said, lately they have gotten much worse. For example, today I had two different deliveries (not sure why either). I have learned to register the tracking number on their website to warn me of a delivery, exception or delay. The first delivery was supposedly delivered at 4:06pm to my home office. I was sitting at my desk (I can see when the truck pulls in) when the email popped up stating a delivery was made and of course no truck, driver or package. I searched around the area only to find no package. When I started the chat feature on their website (useless by the way), I get the usual reply and runaround.
That being said, I did receive a follow-up call from a gentleman that wanted to know what happened. After explaining it to him, he said it would take 24-48 hours for him to get back in touch with me after they talk with the driver to see where he left the package. Fast forward, at 5:16 I receive a phone call from a lady that works in the same company my wife does. She asks if she is speaking to the right person and I said "yes this is he." She said "I had some packages delivered today and I have yours." After a conversation between me, my wife and this lady I asked if she wouldn't mind telling me where she lives. She told me and based upon her address she lives 6 miles away from my address where the package was supposed to be delivered. Mind you, not on the same street, neighborhood and almost out of the county.
Now to the second delivery today. I left my home office at 6:33pm to go to dinner with my wife. When we returned two packages were delivered from FEDEX. Of course, not the one from the first delivery that they believe is still lost. I called their customer service number to find out where the other two items are that were part of one package. Meaning, the one package is supposed to have three items with the one tracking number (taped together or banded - still waiting to hear from the shipper how he packaged the three items together). The first and second person on the phone said that "your package was delivered and there is nothing else we can do". I told them that they only delivered part of my package and I wanted to know where the other two items are. Of course, they were no help and by now I am overly mad and my blood is starting to boil.
I was told that I would have to contact the shipper to find out what happened and that he would have to inquire where the other two items are. Two mistakes in one day is too much for anyone to deal with when someone pays good money for an item(s) and pays for the item to be shipped. I am still waiting for information about the two items that are missing from the second delivery. I hope that eBay will refund my money due to the error of someone else. Shipping companies have gotten so sloppy with tracking, delivery and customer service that I am thinking of only buying items locally because there is way too much headache dealing with incompetency.
As a side note, I had just bought a sign to hang in my office and it reads "CAUTION I DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR STUPID PEOPLE" and those who work for FedEx in the departments of customer service, delivery and all those associated fit this bill. So long FedEx. Until UPS starts to decline like you have, I will only use them for now. Once they do, I will write a complaint about them too. I hope people read this complaint and be warned about the poor service they are bound to receive.

FedEx what can I say, so much has been said already. First I would like to say good blue collar jobs are not easy to get for white middle-aged men in America anymore, thanks to our country's hiring practices. That said here goes. I was to have received my package on a Thursday by end of day. So I waited and waited and waited. When I checked my email it proclaimed the driver had been there at 2 pm and could not deliver because nobody was home. Yet he left no door tag as proof of his claim. My email stated that another attempt would be made the next day, and guess what. Only this time he claimed the attempt was made at 8:45, but I saw this information on my email at 8:20 almost a half hour before the fake attempt.
I once knew someone that worked for this company, and said it was not uncommon for a driver to skip part of the route in order to get finished early. Especially during the holidays when they might be out until late, and claim they had attempted delivery. The mistake this guy made was going to the same address two days in a row. He probably got greedy and lost count. This never happened with UPS. I eventually had the items sent back to the shipper, Music Direct who were no help either. Said I would have to pay for the shipping costs. Get that I pay for a lazy worker's bad work ethic.

My partner ordered an oil-on-canvas painting online which was shipped via Fedex. I returned home this afternoon to be greeted by a knock on my door from one of the apartment complex's maintenance men who informed me that there was a box with my partner's name on it ripped open by the outside of the building next door. Upon further investigation, I discovered that the box was indeed that which contained the painting. When I looked up the tracking number, the Fedex website informed me that the package had been left outside of our door. Feeling that this was a rather poor business practice, I called the Fedex customer service number.
The first time I called, someone answered whose accent was so thick I could not even understand her greeting. I hung up and called back. The second woman that I spoke with informed me that because the person who shipped the item did not request signature confirmation, that the delivery driver was authorized to leave the package at the door. "Of an apartment?" I asked also adding "Doesn't that seem a bit careless to leave a package where someone who is not the recipient might swipe it?" Her response? "Well sir, that's our policy."
I told her that even the postal service, as bad as they are, have never simply left a package on my doorstep regardless of signature confirmation being requested or not. Instead opting to drop it off at the apartment office two doors down from my door. She simply stated that she didn't not work for the post office to which I told her that she should reconsider her employment because she was making the postal service look golden by comparison. So basically, Fedex will leave your packages for anyone to walk by and pick up because taking an extra thirty seconds to walk thirty feet and leave it in a secure location is simply too much work for the drivers. They just lost any future business they may have gotten from me.

I have done all of my Christmas shopping online so of course many of the sites use FedEx to have their item shipped. Now I have never been one to use FedEx. I much rather prefer UPS and here's why: for one I had ordered a Versace bag as a gift and rather than them holding on to the item while I was not home they simply left it on my doorstep. That was a Versace purse that they left wide open for anyone to just steal. Second I ordered a shirt online over two weeks ago and it has yet to arrive. When I made the purchase it said it would only take 5-7 business days and yet it has been well over two weeks. Third another item that was supposed to arrive a week ago is now under "pending" though it's been in Wisconsin for what is now going to be 4 days.
They offer customers a time frame of when items should arrive and they fail at sticking to that timeframe. There is no reason for my item to not have arrived for over two weeks, I would understand if it were an international package but that isn't even the case. I am beyond unsatisfied with this company. They tell that the package will be available only after 24 to 48 hours after the driver turns in and they know where it is turned in. Is this the idea of overnight? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS. I just hope that the other orders I have placed and are being shipped arrive on time - especially since I just checked on one of them and it went from NJ to Connecticut and will now have to come back down from Connecticut to Philadelphia.

After posting this review and voicing complaints to customer service, the delivery was expedited and time sensitive documents delivered on time. Someone at FedEx remedied the situation. Whoever that person was, thank you!
Original Review: Dec. 8, 2015
Went to FedEx distribution center to ship international envelope containing time sensitive documents. Asked specifically for the fastest delivery. Told two options: Option one FedEx International First with delivery Monday at lower price. Option two FedEx International Priority at $142.41 with delivery Friday. Emphasized documents were needed to be delivered prior to Sunday. Was guaranteed by clerk the envelope would be delivered Friday with International Priority. Next day checked tracking #. Scheduled delivery changed to Monday. Paid for Friday delivery, received slower service delivery at priority price. So Employee #**, you either had wrong information, lied, are new, untrained or don't care. At a minimum, customers should receive honest and accurate information.
Called customer service, no help. Requested to speak to supervisor. Again no help. Told to wait 7 days after Monday delivery and request refund. "Sorry for the inconvenience" is a phrase with no meaning. Side bar: If your business has a billing account, pay close attention to fees charged. Envelopes weighed at local distribution facility show one amount. Invoices later received had discrepancies ranging from $1 to $20 for each shipment. Accounting/billing will tell you discrepancies are result of inaccurate facility scales. Facility personnel stated scales audited monthly. Cancel billing and pay with credit card. This avoids the billing discrepancies.

I ordered a rain chain which was supposed to be delivered by FedEx ground. When I checked the tracking info, it indicated that the package was delivered. I was home at the time of the supposed delivery, but I didn't receive a package or any kind of notice. I filed a claim with FedEx, but because their driver said it was delivered, they're just indicating the package was "lost or stolen" & it was my responsibility to contact the shipper. I noticed that many others have the same complaint about FedEx. How can FedEx just write it off that a package is "lost or stolen" and they have no further responsibility or accountability to the shipper or recipient? I think FedEx needs to be investigated.

I have had a terrible experience with Fedex. Not only did they lose a TV and an Xbox, they claim to have delivered both these things without any proof. Many things happened to the TV: it was scheduled to be delivered the next day "due to business closed". Then it "never made it to the distribution center". And finally, "it is on the truck for delivery today (i.e. three business days AFTER the scheduled delivery day)". If it wasn't for the kindness of the seller, I'd be out $600 since Fedex takes no responsibility of their delivery staff.
Next, the saga of the Xbox. My guess is that the delivery man scanned the package and never got it off the truck. Repeated phone calls to the Fedex Customer Care has resulted in multiple "It has been delivered to your leasing office" or "We have started a trace. Expect someone to call you within 2 hours". Neither of this has happened. While it is correct that somebody at the leasing office signed for it, they never received a package for my apartment.
Finally, the kicker. The TV and the Xbox arrived within an hour of each other. My fiancé signed for the TV. Somehow, hauling a 55in TV to the 3rd floor is FAR more convenient than delivering a comparatively tiny Xbox. Not only did the Home Delivery service make no attempt at delivering it to the actual home, they delivered it to nobody. Hence raising my suspicion of foul play even further. To add insult to the injury, Walmart, the seller, refuses to acknowledge their mistake and start a claims process from Fedex. At the moment, I'm out $400, no Xbox, and no hopes of getting my money back. Well done Fedex and Walmart! I shall happily take my business elsewhere and make sure not a penny is made available to either from amongst the people I know, or myself.

Package was to arrive on 12/4, I happen to go outside to take the recycle to the bin and see the FedEx van (4:40PM) in front of our driveway blocking our cars. I yell to my husband that our package is here. He comes to the door and I join him a second later after and we are both standing there watching him scan items then he gets in the driver seat and drives away without delivering anything. We call right away and are told the package was delivered at 4:41, we tell them the driver drove away and didn't deliver anything and we want to speak to him. Well you need to call tomorrow at 8, so we do and then are told the driver needs 48 hours to respond.
We ask to speak to a supervisor, she says the same thing and maybe he was delivering to another house, "No he was in front of ours and never left his van. Where is our package? Did he steal it?" She then states worst case scenario is you contact the merchant and they refund your money or ship the product again. Wow, I couldn't believe she said that to me. And then again, we need 48 hours, blah blah blah. Called again in the morning on 12/7 and was told they are not allowed to take our calls and hung up. Unfortunately I have another package arriving via FedEx tomorrow, let's hope this package arrives. I did contact the merchant and they are shipping product again. I have reported them to BBB and will go to the new if I have to, they shouldn't be allowed to do this.

I ordered a package from Hewlett-Packard that was to be delivered on a Saturday. I can say unequivocally that four people were in the house at the time the FedEx driver allegedly tried to deliver the package. Instead, all I had was a door tag indicating that he tried to deliver the package, but no one was home... a lie. I contacted Federal Express, only to be told that they were sorry and that the package would be delivered on Monday.
On Monday, I went to the tracking webpage to see the status of my package and saw that it would not be delivered until Tuesday. Allegedly FedEx ground is closed on Monday (!). So I was lied to by the driver and lied to by the person FedEx on Saturday; obviously, to calm me down. When I spoke to Federal Express on Monday to attempt to redirect the package to a local facility so I could pick it up myself. They told me that such an action would delay the package another 24 to 48 hours. Are they kidding? The Postal Service has better customer service.
As a business owner, I can tell you that we will never use Federal Express ground ever again. I would not want to have my packages be unable to be delivered on a Monday. Whoever heard of such a thing? All I got from them is an "I'm sorry". That's just insufficient. Would it be okay if I said I was sorry if I failed to pay? If someone is serious about a consumer's Bill of Rights, there must be penalties for merchants and shippers whose only response is that they are sorry.

Was waiting for a package. Went online to track it and it said "Delivery Exception." They claim they made a delivery attempt and there was no one home. My wife was home all day waiting for the package. While online I registered so I could enter delivery instructions and I requested that they leave the package at the front door hoping that they would comply the next day. Fedex never showed up. I called my supplier. They told me they would contact Fedex and get back to me. When they called me back, they told me that Fedex said they will not make anymore attempts because they tried 3 times, so they are returning the package to them.
They told me they were going to send another item to me via UPS which I received within 3 days, same name, same address. Also, while I was online registering on Fedex website, a window popped up inviting me to a chat session. I clicked yes so I could tell them how I feel about them. Then I got this message: "a Fedex representative will be with you shortly. You are number "62" in the Queue." I was so outraged that I just closed the window and decided to NEVER USE FEDEX AGAIN.

I first started having issues when I ordered a very fragile item. They kept moving the delivery dates and the package was in the next county over which for me is 30 miles away! So I called, the female rep told me she would have her supervisor check into it and call me back... The supervisor called back and was very rude from the start then they send a driver who is not the ordinary one. I greeted him with respect and he never responded. He handed me my package and then ripped it out of my hand! And asked "are you the one with the problem about delivery?"
So I called and complained. No response then they start leaving my packages in the road so I called back. No one ever called back. Finally I threatened to youtube the driver and then I get a call from a security agent from FedEx stating that threading my packages were being left in the road was because I was put on a hostile list! After speaking with me the agent realized that I had every reason to be upset and that I wasn't as hostile as they were trying to say.

I Ordered a package, actually became 2 because of weight. Shipped from company and was to be delivered on 12-3-15 at 10:30 am. We did have a weather issue and one of the two packages made it to my town, the other was in Spokane. Next day (12-4), both are on trucks for delivery by 9:30 with scheduled delivery of 10:30 AM. At 10:45 it shows that it is to be delivered on 12-4... no time, so I call them. "We had a delay of 1 hour due to weather so package will be delivered by 3:00 pm." 3:15, call again, "the item is to be delivered by 5:30 pm."
I then talked to customer care. Upon calling around (they called) the local said that the delivery driver was not in the area and had to be back at the office by 4 to complete delivery of picked up items. So I am curious if delivery matters or not. From my experience, we don't. They just want more money for less work. With the conversation on Dec 4, I am also curious if they only deliver where they want to drive.

The building contains 30 apartments and anyone going in or out the building had access to my package. When a package doesn't arrive, I check the tracking report and it says the driver attempted to deliver the package but that "the business was closed." Keep in mind that my house in no way is or resembles a workplace and the packages in question didn't even requires me to sign upon delivery. What's more, no notes are ever left on my door, leading to the incontrovertible truth that no attempt to deliver the package was made. Other times, it will say "package out for delivery," and then a few hours later it'll say that the delivery was delayed until the next day with no reason given. Fedex recently shipped a Lexmark copier for one of our clients back in Oct and it arrived soaking wet to the point the box was falling apart. My client refused shipment as they didn't know if the contents were damaged inside. Our distributor reshipped a second unit out and they received the second one just fine. What is a huge disappointment is the driver says he used liftgate and 2nd floor delivery and they are being charged extra 81.00 freight charge directly to my client. My client has a loading dock on site which would make no sense to back halfway down and use the lift gate then pull the device up a ramp. Second the client location was on the 1st floor as the unit wouldn't have even fit on a pallet through the elevator.
After explaining this to the Customer service and the local freight manager at the FedEx location in Duncan SC, they still are not willing to take off the Lift Gate and Second story charges for my client. "The client signed for it therefore they must pay" is Fedex stance. They did however talk to the driver and he did use the lift gate because he didn't know they had a loading dock. Their mistake is your cost. They didn't like it that I said I should send them an invoice for the wasted time on the first mistake of a wet soaked device, as we had scheduled hours to install on that date which also is a waste of time. Make sure that you don't sign for things now on FedEx delivery as they can then tack on extra charges you may not be aware of.

They didn't believe it wasn't here, but finally say they "will open investigation and call with in 2 hrs". (Not). You can see where this is going. I was later contacted by my POST OFFICE that afternoon, telling me someone had called THEM asking if I had ordered something. Yes that's right. It was delivered at a wrong address. I called the other town resident, yes, she did have my (large) package but did not want to bring it up as she could see it was a gift and didn't want to spoil my surprise. They kept insisting (like they had previously) that it must have been mislabeled and what does it say on the label? Well how the heck would I really know, since it's not HERE, but I could say that yes it did have the right address, because the other resident read it off to me. Driver is recorded on video, pulling onto drive, comes to 3 ft from front door, while talking on phone, throws package on front door and leaves. Had this driver been caught, the truck would have been blocked in and seized, until driver arrested and charged criminal trespassing and court order to release. Again FEDEX has not got the message and continues to drive on my driveway causing cracks from overweight trucks on drive. At this time, the notice and complaint will be filed with the FCC. This complaint will be copied and pasted on FCC complaint to assure FEDEX has received more than ample notice that their drivers will be charged with criminal trespassing if ever return back to this property again.
I will make complaint at this time to Fayette County Sheriffs office, so that when your drivers return they will be arrested on the spot. Complaint of trespassing will become a criminal action upon entrance to location. I make every effort to assure that no shipper will ever ship by FEDEX to this address, this includes every division of FEDEX. I can not however control how others may attempt to send me a package. Therefore FEDEX needs to advise all subcontractors or affiliates that they are subject to arrest if they return to this address.

We are a company that does a lot of shipping to customer and to and from our suppliers. FedEx offered us a decent rate to go with them. They have gotten worse and worse with their shipping. The final straw was two weeks ago (Nov. 6) when we shipped to a customer. One of the three packages - a wooden crate of 20x20x18 - was opened, apparently gone through and then when they could not completely close the crate correctly, they packed the entire thing in a cardboard box and taped it up.
When the customer opened the box we found out what had happened and he called us. We immediately called FedEx and after talking with three people I was told that based on their information the crate had not been repacked. They gave me a case number and promised to look in to the problem and would contact me in 24 to 48 hours. I did not hear from them so I called again. After being shuffled around I finally talked with someone who said the same thing again, they would check the locations the crate had changed hands and call back in 24-48 hours. That was a week ago and no work from them at all.
I have now put in a claim to get money for the equipment that has been lost. We would rather have the lost equipment since it is manufactured by our supplier in Denmark and takes a while to get the new equipment, plus having to pay shipping, duty and taxes again from Denmark into the U.S. The customer needs the equipment to do the installation on his boat. We are having to send him a temporary part from our demo unit until we can get a new part from Denmark. As a small company, we cannot afford to have a shipping company lose, break or deliver late or to the wrong address any of our equipment. FedEx is not friendly to small business at all. They have drivers who are not careful with packages, who are lazy and who aren't smart enough to figure out where an address is. We have had enough of this and are going to take our shipping needs elsewhere.

We were waiting for our delivery Saturday. The driver placed an attempt to deliver on our door and didn't knock! I have dogs, they didn't bark because he never knocked! I saw the note on my door when I was going outside with my dogs around 10:35 a.m. I called customer service and ask the representative to help me to get my package by picking it up instead and he said that the origination FedEx receiving in my city was closed (at 11:00 a.m) and that it would be delivered a Tuesday! I asked if I could do something else and he said I could transfer the package to be deliver to a closer station so I could pick it up the same Saturday. Well, I waited the whole day to later be told by FedEx customer service that the original service station has been open that day until 6. That they don't know why the representative told me that and that when I request a transfer package it takes around 24 hrs to be done, so that I would still get my package on Tuesday.
To make things worst I have to say that the 1st representative that I spoke with didn't speak English. My husband was trying to seek to him, and he just couldn't communicate effectively. I took the call because I'm bilingual and not even I could understand him, I asked him to speak Spanish to me and then we could finally had a conversation that made sense. HOWEVER this person, even after I spoke and explain things in SPANISH, I don't think that he had a knowledge of his work or operations, he was the one that told me to send the package to another location when I could just had pick it up that day and he said I couldn't because it was closed. (That station was not closed; he gave me wrong information) and because of him I couldn't get my package on time.
So int his intense 2 employees at FedEx messed up a denier; First the Driver for not doing his work, and second the CUSTOMER SERVICE representative that did not gave me accurate information and made things worst. Oh, and when I called back to make a formal complaint, the 2nd CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE was another hispanic that didn't speak good English! I am bilingual, I expect a customer service person to speak proper English if she is working in The USA. Has FedEx taken their service call Department to Mexico or other out of country location? Don't use FedEx! Use UPS!! Or even USPS; they have great service.

FedEx hung my package on our rural fence where dogs could reach the package, rather than use the provided, legal package delivery container. Dogs destroyed my package and product of course, so I filed a claim with FedEx. Which was promptly denied. I have now filed with the BBB against FedEx and I have been doing some reading up. FedEx has an ABYSMAL delivery record and I am told they rarely pay a claim. When you order something online, make absolutely sure the business you order from is NOT using FedEx. If they are... order your item elsewhere!!

Following the shipping notification for my purchases, I saw that the items were being shipped separately in two packages. Luckily they were scheduled to be delivered on the same day and it so happened I was home that day... all day. I live in an apartment building which is on an busy city street lined with apartment buildings. My building is secure with an entry way and a lobby both of which a guest must be buzzed through. The door bell system is also tied into my smart phone so when the door bell rings it registers as an incoming call. By 4 pm when my bell still had not rung, I looked at the tracking info. Imagine my surprise when it said both packages had been delivered at 10:47 am and left at the front door. Now I had already been down to collect my mail around noon and did notice several packages for other residence but none for me so seeing that I went back down to the lobby, the entry way and the front of the building... nothing.
I called FedEx, they told me to look in the yard and ask my neighbors... I live in a city apartment building, what yard, city - neighbors, did they want me to knock on every door in the building? After two calls they agreed to track the packages by speaking with the driver. After two days, they called back to tell me that the driver said he left both packages at the mailboxes of a brick apartment building. All the buildings on the street are brick! And the mailboxes are in the second lobby not at the front door as it said on the shipping information. Also, who buzzed him in, it was not me. The CS rep suggested that I must have missed the door bell despite the fact that I told her the door bell rings my cell phone and there was no missed call. Then she said that was all they could do and I should contact the retailer.
When I asked why I should contact the retailer when it was FedEx who is responsible for delivering, she told me that speaking with the driver is all they do and to pursue any further action I would need to put in a claim for reimbursement. First of all, it was like speaking to a recording, it didn't matter what I told her she repeated the same thing, "The driver said he left the packages by the mailboxes." Secondly, she continued to imply that it wasn't really FedEx's problem because as far as they were concerned the packages were delivered. The whole experience was a frustrating exercise... from the beginning I could tell they weren't going to find the packages or take responsibility for them.
Amazingly, the retailer will reimburse me and since these were gifts for an upcoming shower they will send the merchandise to my nearest store so I can get them on time and more importantly won't have to contend with FedEx. It is unfortunately that this retailer uses FedEx because it means that I will no longer shop online with them or any other retailer who uses FedEx to deliver. What a horrible company and what terrible terrible customer service... an example of a business too big to think that it matters if they are bad at what they do!

I recently ordered a tablet computer from Amazon which was delivered via FedEx Ground. FedEx Ground damaged the computer by crushing the package as was clearly evident by markings and distortion of the package. Upon this realization, I contacted the seller and was given a Return Merchandise Authorization. I then SAT and waited for several days without hearing anything further. I then contacted the seller who ask me if I had been contacted by FedEx.
The following week I found a crumpled and weathered door tag on the driveway. I had no idea of whether it was even related to me or my address or was simply a blown scrap piece of paper. Since it contain no information relative to me and it was essentially blank, I discarded it. 2 days later I saw another door tag this time in a flower bed. At this time I concluded that it must be related to me in some way. But it contained no information or directions. I immediately emailed FedEx to inquire about the door tag number. I received a non-reply email from FedEx indicating that it pertained to the RMA including its tracking number and the RMA number.
With this information, I called FedEx to ask if I could simply drop the package off at a local FedEx facility and thereby quickly resolve the issue. The FedEx representative told me that I could drop off the package at the Holly hall facility here in Houston. Thrilled, drove to that location and presented the package to the lady at the counter. She indicated that she could not accept the package and she mentioned something about it being an Express. At that point I was thoroughly confused because she did not consult the computer or look up any information regarding the tracking number. She told me that I would have to take it to a shipping or drop off location.
I returned home and eventually I found a drop off location in a strip mall. I called that facility to ask if I could drop the package off there and I told them the circumstances. The representative sarcastically told me that that was their reason for being in business and that of course I could drop it off there. This time, less thrilled I drove to that location and the 8300 block of Main Street only to be told that I would have to buy a box and pay the shipping charges back to the seller. Again there seem to be no understanding of what the RMA authorization meant. I knew that the information that the employee gave me was incorrect.
So I determined to seek further information from the seller and FedEx. FedEx left two door tags. But I have no idea what to do. Multiple calls to FedEx gave me multiple directions of what to do. I was told that the driver would have to pick up the baggage and print a mailing label. Only the driver could print the mailing label. The people at the FedEx locations that I've visited could not print the mail slip. After a week, the situation continues unresolved.

After 2 hours of waiting after hours on a Friday night, the driver never came. No one could explain to me why each rep gave false information and each one passing the blame to another. I am very frustrated with FedEx and the delivery of my order. The East St. Louis facility called me last Friday night (Oct. 30) to tell me the address on my order was incorrect and the driver couldn't find my home (in reality the address is correct). They then said the item would be delivered on Saturday, Oct. 31. It was not delivered. I then contacted Fed Ex chat on Monday, Nov. 1, giving them explicit directions to my home and was told someone would call me about the delivery in 2 hours - I did not receive any call. The delivery was then rescheduled for yesterday, and it never came. FedEx has my phone number and if the driver can't find my home, he could easily call me for directions. I've lived here approximately 30 years; UPS can find my home, as can the mail carrier. I don't want to order online from retailers using FedEx because I don't want the headache of their incompetency. Here is my problem and I'm sure no one will do anything about it but I feel I must send this anyway. I set up a pick up yesterday at our warehouse location like I do any other day, whether the customer requests UPS or FedEx. And scheduled my pick up as I always do, then took my package to its normal pick up location, as I always do so that it could wait to be picked up. But when I arrived this morning, the package was still in the same location and had not been picked up. Now this has happened on numerous occasions and no one ever does anything about it, and well quite frankly I am sick and tired of this happening.
I am using an express service because I need what I am shipping to arrive where I've sent it in a faster time. And I feel as an express service you should want to make sure this happens for the customers as we are paying a much higher rate for this service instead of sending the shipment ground! This was a 2 day shipment that will now take 3 unless as I was told by the customer service operator on the phone this morning, who also didn't give a care in the world about my now destined to be late package, I could change to an overnight service. Seriously, now my company has to pay the extra high price of overnight because one of your carrier decided not to pick my package up?! What kind of logic is that??
I already have to give the customer some kind of discount to help repair the fact that they are not going to receive the materials they ordered in time for the medical research project they are working on. And you're going to say that they called here... They did not, we checked the caller IDs on all the phones in our building and there are no calls from FedEx... Also when you call our system it gives you an option for shipping and they would be my phone and I didn't not receive any calls from FedEx about this pick up! It's pretty ridiculous that this continues to happen. This is the reason we are very limited in our use of your "Services" as we have found them to be so unreliable.

The delivery was stated for 5-7 business days, which I would be back in town for and the driver attempted delivery the next day. I requested that it be sent to a specific location by me to be picked up, the driver said that would be fine. It was then delivered back to their major warehouse for me to pickup. I called this morning to verify that it was ready and they were open and they said 9 am to 9 pm.
Surprised they were open on a Sunday, I called again to verify and was given the same information. I drove an hour to that location to pick it up to have all of the gates locked. When I called again they said I was given the wrong information and they are closed on Sundays. I told them to return the package to you because I am traveling for the next month and could not come back to pick it up again and that I would never deal with their incompetent company again. I am still interested in this item as it is a gift but unless it can be shipped another way, I will have to get a refund and purchase from another seller. In calling FedEx they state: Well the bags was scanned in Dothan but we do not know anything else. What color is it, does it have a name on it..... and all relative information. But my point is the consumer now pays more in insurance than the actual cost of shipping a bag. If you give someone a box - and it does not arrive via all the scans the consumer literally loses thousands since a piece of luggage is $500 itself, and then add the clothes..... I might as well leave a bag on the side of the road and ask for someone to deliver it to me.

FedEx delivered a package from Italy and only made one attempt to deliver it. They had the wrong phone number from the shipper, so I did not receive any calls, and they subsequently sent it to a holding facility 10 minutes from my house. I tracked down the package and was told that it would cost $36 for them to ship from the holding facility to my house. The 19lb package was delivered the next day, although I never was told that it would be overnighted, just that it would cost $36. I looked at my bank statement and noticed they charged me $227. When I called a representative, she said they had nothing mentioned about the $36 fee and that because it was overnighted, it was my responsibility to pay $227. Why ever would i agree to $227 when I could have picked it up myself. They are complete thieves. This is more than it cost to ship from Italy. I am beyond livid and will never use FedEx again.

I recently ordered a bicycle online, and tracked it through FedEx. The day it was supposed to arrive my husband was home all day. At the end of the day the tracker updated and said the bike had been delivered and dropped off at door, only we never received it. We contacted FedEx who told us they would have to do a 48hr investigation and that they would contact us at the end of the second day. We didn't hear from them so we called the next morning only to have them tell us that they would call by the end of the day, which they did to tell us that they are no longer looking into the situation and closing the investigation as a lost package, that we would have to get with the company who sold us the bike and have them send a complaint to FedEx.
We tracked that bike all the way to FedEx, aren't they then responsible from there with merchandise? The holidays are coming and if this is how they are running things at their company, then we need to worry about all the kids "lost" toys. Am I right in thinking that FedEx has a responsibility to reimburse the customer for the lost item? Any thoughts you have would really be appreciated. If anything, I just don't want this to happen to anyone else especially during the holidays. Thank you.

I paid FedEx to package and ship an item I sold on eBay, and they are denying due to lack of packaging. I even went and got a signed letter from the manager of the store that packed it with their own FedEx letterhead and they have now attempted to ask for more information that I already supplied. No idea who I have to talk to in order to fix this problem. I paid for insurance, but apparently that means nothing. You might be saying to yourself, "Well there has to be something he is not telling us," and you would be wrong. I did everything by the numbers, and I even sent them a copy of their packaging pledge and still I get this. I highly recommend not using them. If package and ship for anything of any value and if it is valuable don't throw your money away by paying for insurance that they will never own up to.

I expected to get a package today. However, it was not delivered. It was the second attempt to deliver the package. I had requested the package to be dropped off at a FedEx location to avoid missing another attempt. I called FedEx to see why the package was not at the FedEx location. The representative told me that it is at a ground warehouse and I can't pick it up there. I did not know that it takes three attempts until the package is held at a FedEx location. He didn't tell me that until later in the conversation. If I would had known earlier, it would had avoided the dissatisfaction of the call. He also said that I couldn't be heard in the phone. There are not any sounds coming from my end. Other people are able to hear me on phone calls. Towards the end of the call, I can hear his tone change. Therefore, it left both parties unhappy. All I wanted was my package and any relevant information.

I tracked the items and in their tracking it was shown that a new date for delivery was requested for three weeks later - this was a lie. I asked them about this and they admitted they had an issue which held up the items and when they put it in the computer they mis-typed the date. They stated the package would be delivered the next day between 12 am and 2 pm. The package again did not show. The customer service is awful and will say anything to get you off the phone. The shipping department puts in changes that are not requested just to hide their screw ups. Terrible company.

So I call again Customer Service, assure me the driver will attempt another day and same thing, he delivered at 2:55pm (WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE DRIVER!!!)

I was expecting an envelope to be delivered on October 6. When it didn't arrive, I became concerned, and saw via FedEx tracking that it had been delivered on October 7. Problem is, the envelope was just not there at my front door. I assumed that it had been stolen, and so initiated a FedEx investigation. Their investigation confirmed that it had indeed been delivered to my address. Guess what? It had been delivered by mistake to my neighbor's house, a neighbor who never really uses his front door. So I called FedEx to report this, and they insist that it was delivered to my (the correct) address. I told them they were wrong. They kept insisting it was delivered to the right address. That's why this is bizarre – I kept telling them it went to the wrong house, they kept saying that it didn't. How the heck would they know?? Fedex has lied to me several times about a delivery. They said they couldn't deliver because my gate was closed but would deliver the next day between 4:30 and 5: 30. I have been very sick recovering from major surgery and was so upset by the constant lies that I almost wound up back to hospital when I just got out after a month of recovery. They are making me sicker and setting me back.
Today I postponed doing a major medical procedure that could kill me if I don't get it done. I opened my gate and locked up my dog. When it got to be 5:30 and no package, I called them which in itself is very difficult because of their impossible automated answering services. They first lied and said I had no packages to be delivered. When I insisted, they said on, "The packages were left in your garage between 2 and 3". That was not what they agreed to do. They said they would deliver it to my door. So they said they would be here in an hour to bring the packages from my garage to my front door. I waited more than an hour and went through the same upsetting process again. This time I was lied to again and the packages didn't come and the driver did not come back.
So again I called and went through the same annoying process and another agent lied to me and said there was no delivery. I asked to talk to a supervisor and someone named "Billy" (no last names give, but he did give me a location ID of SALRC. Refused to email me a confirmation of our conversation or his promise to have my packages delivered to my door tomorrow. I really don't think they will do it. I still have not done my medical procedure and it is getting crucial. So at this point I don't care if I get the packages or not. Even UPS delivered today when they said they would and on time. Today I was expecting a package to be delivered. I was home ALL DAY waiting for the package. No one knocked on my door, no slip was left on my door, yet according to tracking info FedEx claims this package was delivered to my front door. I was anxious (and in desperate need) for the arrival of the package. I constantly opened my front door all day to just check to see if my package was here. I have looked outside both doors so many times today my neighbor probably think I'm insane.
I contacted FedEx. They gave me a Case ID number. They said someone should call me by the next business day (tomorrow). That is all well and good except that I am a chronic pain patient due to spinal disease. The item I ordered was to assist in relieving some pain & help me sleep. NO, IT IS NOT MEDICATION.
This has been a CONSISTENT problem with FedEx for over a year now. Every time I order something and FedEx is the delivery company (something I have no control over) items either NEVER arrive or the tracking info says the item was delivered on this day when in fact the item will take several more days to arrive. The last time this happened and I made a complaint the tracking info said "item was delivered on the dock". I live nowhere near any area that we would have a "dock". I live in a single story home on a normal residential street.
I have had it with FedEx in every single way. This is very unprofessional. Companies are certainly receiving constant complaints about packages not being delivered by FedEx. Services are NOT being rendered. Packages just go missing randomly? Packages are delivered, yet mysteriously are invisible or there is a mistake consistently in delivery/tracking information?
If this was an isolated incident I would be understanding. However, the fact that as a chronic pain patient it is easier for me to order items to be delivered to my home due to difficulty walking and never receiving a single item shipped by FedEx on time or sometimes not at all is beyond a minor problem. This is a MAJOR ISSUE with this company. My street sign is clearly visible. My house number is clearly visible on my mailbox and on my house by the front door.
When I receive a package delivered by UPS if they say it has been delivered, then it has been delivered! I can set my clock to UPS delivery times. If the USPS says an item has been delivered then it has been delivered! I wish every company would just stop using FedEx for their parcel deliveries and let the professionals at UPS handle it.

Luckily, I did not work this day and was able to come home a few hours after it was delivered because it was in the HOT SUN, close to melting... Even the ice bags that were enclosed were ALL melted. If it had not been for the good packaging the company used and me getting home a couple of hours after delivery, it would have been completely ruined.
This is not the first time I have had trouble with FedEx... One year, a package was supposed to be delivered to my work address; the package was left downstairs (I worked in a building on the 11th floor)... Since no one claimed it, it was sent back and my daughter did not get her Christmas present. When I called the company to send it back to me and gave them a different address, they were sold out of the merchandise that I had purchased for my daughter. Needless to say, I am very dissatisfied with FEDEX... They leave anything anywhere without consideration... I do not like FedEx.

In fact the management showed up around 12:40ish to check them. During their visit my door was left wide open. The vents were clean.
So I waited some more. Ordered pizza. The pizza delivery guy shows up and while paying him I notice a notice on my door. No. you have got to be kidding me? The driver had left his number on the note (one for their office in Woodbridge) and I called him. I could not understand a word he was saying at first and, to my shame, I did demand he speak English. He was speaking English, but at a high-rate, like a machine gun, which does not work well when both parties have cell phones. He said he had knocked and that he was no longer in the area. But was willing to meet me somewhere to deliver the package to me. I asked if he would deliver the package and he said he could try again on the weekend. I wasn't going to be here on the weekend and called the 800 number. It seems, as I waited for a live operator, that the computer alerted me to the fact that the driver had tried to deliver the package at 12:44... Really?
I finally got somebody real but she could not help me. She could send the deliver a request to redeliver but not get a reply - the drivers were contractors and there was no system set up for two-way communication. I called again just now, around 5:20 and another operator said, no, he had not heard any reply yet but that the driver had till 9:30 PM to deliver the package. So here I wait. I assume if it is not delivered before nightfall I should just tell them to forget and tell the seller that FedEx refused to deliver the package. NOT couldn't, but wouldn't. Called customer service and receive info that so called weather conditions and that it would be at the address in day or two (mind you I paid for next day and was not offered that reimbursement). I was moving from NJ to Florida, so I shipped my tv via FedEx. Worst decision ever! My tv arrived a day later than scheduled in a damaged box so I asked the delivery driver if it was ok because it did not look like that when I shipped it, so he said "oh, it didn't " then left. Moving along, I bring it in the house and proceed to open it, as I remove the blankets and bubble wrap I used to pack it, I noticed the screen was hanging forward and broken. It looked like someone beat it with a bat and drove over it with the truck.
The box stated "flat panel tv kit, fragile" in huge bold letters on the outsides of the box. The tv was also protected with 8 point protection foam and plastic wrap. I contacted FedEx and opened a claim because I had insured my tv. The claims representative requested pictures of my tv and the box and what I used to package it, so per her request, I provided them. I had made it clear in my photo attachments that I had thrown away the bubble wrap because I cut it off the tv and wasn't expecting to see what I had saw.
After a month, I didn't hear anything and contacted them to find out the status of my claim and I was told they were continuing with the claim. A week later I received a letter stating they denied my claim because I didn't package it properly. Yes I did! My package wasn't handled properly, otherwise the box too would not have been damaged the way it was. Also, the driver lied and said that he had multiple delivery attempts which was not true and apparently they get paid more every time they have to re deliver things.
And so they charged me about 3 times what I was quoted. So not only was my tv completely damaged by a neglectful delivery team, I was also targeted and a victim of fraud. Good thing I paid attention to the tracking and was able to dispute the charges but that still doesn't take care of what they did to my tv or my experience. I find it breath taking that such a well known company can treat customers this way and get away with it.

I pre-ordered an Apple iPhone a week or more ago after a year of really wanting the new iPhone 6 plus. Well, my current phone decided that it wanted to stop functioning and I ran out of storage. So finally I broke down and decided to splurge on myself for my birthday. I bought the Iphone6S plus (Just an FYI I was beyond excited and still am.) This is the most expensive thing I've bought in about 2 years. But now the problem comes with the delivery, which is by no means Apple's fault. UPS is kind enough to deliver when people are home (surprise, surprise, I have a day job like the majority of people) and they know I can't get out of work just to sit at home and wait on a package. This is why I LOVE UPS. Well unfortunately, this isn't the company used to deliver my much-anticipated phone.
FedEx is the company they used. FedEx came at 12:45 while I was at work. When I got home I immediately called the FedEx helpline, because they left a note on my door. On the first call a foreign man whose English could use some improvement answered and I hung up on him after repeatedly trying to understand him and communicate what I needed. Now the man was nice and from what I could make out he really was trying to help but the communication barrier was too much for either of us. I called a second time and after an arduous argument with an automated system I FINALLY got someone with competent English (and by this time I was crying, I will admit that). The lady was very nice and sincere in her apology and by her level of competence in calming down a distraught and upset customer she's had to do it a lot.
I really felt bad for crying on her, but the level of disappointment and the amount of obstacles I went through to find someone to talk to had me frazzled. But I begged her to find out if the FedEx driver was still in town, I would willingly meet him on his route just to get my phone, but alas he had already left with my phone and the only way I could get it is if I drove 1 hour on my birthday to go pick it up from the FedEx holding cell where they had it or, because they don't deliver on weekends, wait until Monday AND use up some vacation time so I could be there to sign for it. Yeah, happy birthday to me because they don't deliver on the weekends and now I have to take time off from my job to wait at my house wasting my vacation hours just to meet the man at the door at whatever ungodly hour he decides to deliver it. I plan to be awake and at the end of my driveway to meet him. I don't even want his truck to be seen in my yard that is how upset I am.
And I'm a very nice person, I work in customer service and I'm extremely flexible but the hoops and annoyance I went through has made me very bitter about the experience. I'm sorry to be one of "those people" but after this nonsense is over on Monday, I will in all honesty not give any other business to FedEx and I plan to hold to that. I can't afford to sit at home and wait on a delivery because they want to come to my house at 12:45. No. I will let my beloved UPS man handle my needs, at least their delivery route lets me be home to greet him and I always get a competent English speaker on the first call. And I realize that they won't leave a phone sitting on someone's doorstep, but if you know it's one of those packages why would you go at 12:45? Why not 3 or 4 or 5 when normal people are home?
And I'm not angry at Apple or the driver or the man whose English makes my head hurt or the really nice lady who helped me stop squalling on the phone, but at the fact that FedEx doesn't plan better. You have a package, containing something very important to someone, that needs to be signed for because it's expensive and delicate and very much anticipated and you choose to deliver it at a time when most people are at work. On a Friday no less. You know that person is unlikely to be home and you know you don't deliver on weekends and that your nearest storage facility is an hour away. Planning makes a difference. Common sense plays a role too. And breaking someone's heart a day before their birthday loses you business and the business of anyone that she has influence over.
And believe me, I cried talking to my mom, my best friend, and a cousin. All of whom had similar bad experiences with FedEx and all vowed they'd never again trust them with their packages because of it. And yes a phone is a stupid thing to be upset over but it was my one thing that I had wanted, I saved for it and planned for it and was looking forward to meeting the package delivery guy at the door to get it. And yes even the UPS delivery man heard me crying because he delivered two packages to me that day and asked why my eyes were red. That is how upset I was. I will, on my life, never allow a package to be shipped to me via FedEx. I will pay penalty fee's, extra shipping or I'll just go without.

The agent replies with thanks... 24 hrs later no movement. I call the agent who cannot confirm payment even though she has thanked me for payment. I formally complain. Another agent assures me it is going express to my door, it has been escalated to "priority"... another 24 hrs have passed. So 72 hrs to travel 330km?!? and 3 FedEx agents are saying sorry. The admin and logistics of FedEx is ludicrous to say the least. Never again. Use DHL next time.

So I was in search of a new laptop for my daughter. I found one on eBay from a top seller and a great price. So, I paid for it and they shipped it out promptly, using FedEx. A few nights go by, and my daughter (who is only 4) was asking about her new laptop, which she was so excited to get, I told her it was going to be here in the morning, as I knew it had to of been here by then. So, just to be sure, I got onto my eBay account and checked the tracking of the laptop. "Delivered" it said, "left at front door" at around noon, earlier that day.
I panicked for a second, knowing that I was home all day, I had gotten the mail around 11 am and UPS brought packages between 1&2 pm. (I work from home, so I receive many packages.) So I immediately went outside my front door and looked everywhere, the bushes, down the steps, inside my front door, the back door, and nothing, no package. This laptop was a 15.6" laptop, it could not have been missed. So I did what most mothers would do in this situation... I cried! I was so upset for my daughter, she had been looking forward to getting her new laptop, and I was afraid I'd have to tell her that it was not coming now.
So I get onto the FedEx website and file a claim, and I let the eBay seller know, he also did the same. I had my husband call FedEx the next morning and they said they would get to the bottom of it. Later that day, the driver came to my door, claiming he had left the package there. I get packages to my house all day everyday! I live in a nice area with nice neighbors, never had an issue before EVER, now I order a laptop and it's just GONE?? BS!
The shipping label had the name of the pawnshop on it called "Cash Inn" so I'm sure "SOMEONE" saw the label and decided to keep it for themselves. I was home that day, I work in my kitchen which is only a few feet from my front door, I got packages at 2 other times that day, before and after the laptop had said it was delivered, and yet it just disappeared, right? The ground suddenly opened up and swallowed the package, yeah ok. So after a few days of them saying they'd figure it out, I get a notice saying the investigation was closed, and well I was out $150 and my daughter was out a laptop. Never heard from them again and never saw the laptop. I will never use FedEx again if I can help it, bunch of crooks!

I had been waiting for a package for well over a week. Granted it is small and I've been asleep but I'm almost positive that nobody knocked. I live in a area where it's safe for the most part but packages will be taken. I'm so mad. I could've missed my stuff. Y'all left my ** iPhone 6s plus forever at my door. Ughhh.

I will NEVER get anything delivered by FedEx again! I paid extra money to have my package delivered in 2 days. My package WAS supposed to be delivered on the 24th and now they are saying that it "should be delivered by the end of the night". I am not happy and will never use them again!

I have ordered a mobile phone in Amazon. I have received the mail that the expected delivery date is 18th September 2015. Without any proper intimation this FedEx service has returned my ordered back to amazon. I queried about this in FEDEX office which is located at Nava India, Coimbatore. There is no proper response by the members in that service. I have not satisfied this customer service.

I had a 21 package business consignment shipped from abroad, paid with insurance cover by the express service. Several days later, 2 arrive late and one is lost. I reported this, however they made me a run around for about 6 weeks, never calling me back or even emailing me as promised. In the end, nearly 6 or 7 weeks later without telling me anything. It arrived repackaged by them with the box clearly labelled by them as "damaged in handling by FedEx". The original box was also in the packaging so I could see what had happened. Clearly the original box was badly torn from bad handling (it was an official USPS strong parcels box). The item inside was severely damaged in a way that could only have been done with very bad handling. As the metal chassis was actual distorted so badly I could not even get it back in place by force.
At first they told me they would grant a claim, but then made me wait even more weeks, and eventually came back and said another department denied the claim and they can’t help. When queried they said they tried to fob me off by saying packaging was inadequate, even though even a simple minded person can see clearly that this nature of damage has nothing to do with packaging, as it was so badly damaged. It’s so obvious the FedEx team had tried hide the item, as it had been so badly damaged, and so it was lost initially, but after my chasing it up and complaining, they mysteriously found and delivered it, and then within the company tried to cover it up under an agreed story of bad packaging.
I always thought FedEx was meant to be one of the best, professional and trusted global couriers. Believe me, you do not want to risk having to deal with them in the event of an issue or problem. To further underline this, they are refusing to even provide me with the customs invoice, that I need to claim back the tax from the government on it. Even the customs government department could not believe how badly FedEx was behaving.

I was so happy to receive my passport and Chinese visa for an upcoming Asian Adventure today. I received a notification on my phone from FedEx that my package had been delivered at 1:07 p.m. today! I was home all day looking out of the window for the FedEx truck. I called the automated FedEx line and it stated that my package was delivered already and left at the front door. I searched and searched. No package in sight! I immediately started crying. I called FedEx customer service and they gave me a case number and said that the truck driver would be by my house to see if it was the same house he delivered it to. I was asked what color my house was, etc. I was promised that a manager would call to investigate more.
I had been crying throughout my call with customer service. My daughter comes home to me crying hysterical, wondering what happened. Finally she saw our neighborhood mailman and asked if he saw a package on our front stairs and he said, "No." Then she asked if he saw a FedEx truck in the area today and he said, "Yes, on Mascot St." My daughter walked around to the next neighborhood at 66 Mascot and found the FedEx package on the front porch. I still have not received a call from anyone at FedEx.

My experience with FedEx is more often than not I had to pick up the package myself. I think they're worse than USPS. I haven't had anything sent FedEx in a while until now. Of course they never meet their timeline. I will again request not having anything sent FedEx... again.

I sent a check to be delivered next day in Canada, and I paid for Overnight Delivery service, and the guy at the branch where I paid and dropped the package said the document would be delivered next day, but now I found it would be delivered until today Monday at noon. When I called to Customer service department nobody wanted to give a solution other than transfer me to International Delivery which honestly did not do anything that solved my situation. I wish they could have said, we will give some credit or something, instead they rather not deal with me. Our business relationships could be in danger because of this kind of mistakes. If they had told me that international deliveries are not possible overnight I should have paid for another service, "Simple," but they wanted to charge more, take more money from me.

I will never in life use FedEx again. If a company that I am ordering with uses them, I will not submit that order! I literally watched the driver come through the apartment gate (my window faces the front of the apartments) as I had been waiting on him ALL DAY and he came at 5:15. I waited for a knock at my door... Nothing. I went downstairs to see if I saw the truck... No truck! I looked at my tracking info and it stated the driver attempted to drop it off but no one was available for pick up!!!

So whenever I'm expecting a package from Fedex, that's a nightmare. Once I was sitting at the front door of my building expecting package and I got notification business closed, delivery attempted lol, and I was waiting for them. Yesterday I wasn't home they tried delivery. Anyway I go to the website try to schedule pick up at Fedex location and I can't. Website has problem or my package has problem. I can't do anything. If I can give zero stars I will.

Three weeks ago I sent a letter overnight express, paying $25.00 for this service. I had my phone number and the recipient's phone number on the order. First excuse: the weather, second excuse: a security fence (with instructions posted as to how to get in). Third excuse: mechanical failure on airplane. Since it would do me no good to have it delivered any longer I asked for it to be returned to me. Three times I was told it would go out the next day and I should receive it within two days. Now no one has a clue where this pkg. could be. The letter contained a bank draft so I finally went and stopped payment. This costing me another $30.00. To date, 24 days later I have not received my pkg. They have no record of all this communication between us.

FedEx never delivered a Christmas present (a hand knitted blanket) for my son and his family last year. Your FedEx ground delivery person admitted that he did not recognize their home as the address he delivered the package. My daughter-in-law said when he made that statement his supervisor could be heard yelling at him over the phone. After that visit FedEx changed their story saying that the box WAS delivered to the correct address as promised. We all know the blanket was never delivered. My son’s wife stays at home all day caring for her three children. They have two dogs that bark if anyone approaches. She is sure that no package was delivered. The blanket cannot be reordered because every stitch was hand knitted to become a king size comforter (8.5 x 8). It took me four months knitting every day for me to complete. My arthritis keeps me from making another. It was to be a keepsake for my son's family.
I realize FedEx is trying to cut corners but to not bother delivering packages to the proper address is really hitting bottom. Your company reiterated “reorder the item” like that has become the standard slogan for the way FedEx now does things. But, as in my case, what if you cannot reorder. Consumers should be warned not to trust FedEx with their irreplaceable items. I thought about taking this matter up with the small claims court but just don’t have the energy. FedEx should know, however, that their business practices do cause harm.
