About 5 months ago, I was making $500 each month in just minimum credit card payments. I knew about some debt relief options, but one option I had never heard of is what National Debt Relief does: debt settlement, which is different than a debt consolidation loan or credit/debt counseling. I discovered National Debt Relief via Google search, and looked into it because the reviews were so positive. I have not regretted it.

A very thorough and clear explanation of my account and payments. Fast service. Documents were sent in a minute and I was done with getting my new bank account updated in 2 minutes. Alaniz was provided an excellent and professional service.

Great customer service!!! The team was very helpful with helping me to make the right choice. I would recommend the program to family members and friends. I feel that I am on the right track to become debt free and getting back on track.

Updated on September 6, 2018: National Debt Relief has been great. I am pleased with their services and I'm really happy thus far. They have settled around four of my large accounts. The amount that I pay monthly works perfectly. I even told them that with all the bills I am paying, it is really affordable for me. We worked it in that range. There has also been a couple of months that I've had to call and ask them to reduce my payments by 50 bucks and they do it without vetting out. The program is working and it has been paying off all my bills. My life is going in the right direction and there's no way I could have paid off those bills without doing it this way. National Debt Relief has helped me out of a lot of stress.

I'm so thankful that I finally can take some of the weight off my shoulders and get back on track. Audia was great. She walked me through the entire process and made me feel comfortable the entire time. No question was too dumb to ask and, I really appreciate that she really know her job. My welcome call with Shaday was also a great experience. She also made me feel like I made the right choice and I'm grateful to have them to help me. Thank you very much.

The customer service is good and everything is thoroughly explained. They make sure to answer any questions without making you feel like you're burdening them. My only complaint is the first call lasts over an hour and then you have to do another in which many of the same things are explained for a second time. Overall a really great experience though.

Working with National Debt Relief has been life changing and a truly wonderful experience. We are still in the middle of the process of becoming debt free but the end is in sight which is something we wouldn't have been able to say without this program!

I couldn’t pay all my bills and I was getting phone calls. My son referred me to National Debt Relief. Everybody’s been really nice and I've been assured by the counselors that National Debt Relief would take care of the problem in less than four years. I'm really happy and it has given me a little bit of ease. I know that I'm going to get out of debt and that's very important. They should keep up the good work. My experience has been great and I wish to continue and hope it works out perfect.

I was looking getting debt relief help for my credit card and personal loan. The manager at the bank said National Debt Relief and Freedom were the two best relief companies so I chose NDR. The manager told me that they do debt relief but I believed at first that they pay off this agency credit of NDR, they pay off out of my bill and then I pay them back. But it's not the way it worked. In the future, they could take in consideration and work with a customer like me with debt less than $50,000 in paying all my debt and then I pay them back. It would be better because I still have creditors calling me. In fact, Bank of America and Regions Bank were trying to sue me but NDR took care of me and their reps helped me. Sometimes I get upset because I get anxious and in a bad mood when I’m trying to do so many things and I don’t have the money. Sometimes when I call them, they think I'm a mean person, but I’m not. 

I wanted to get my financial situation under control and get out of debt. I went with National Debt Relief and they're very thorough in providing answers. I agree with everything that has been happening as far as the financial accountability that they're providing as the case moves on and my interactions with them have been excellent. It has been nice and a relief to have controlled the situation by getting these debts taken care of and I'm looking forward to the process being completed in a few more months. I would advise anyone who has a problem with their debt and want to have a better future by getting the debt under control to look into National Debt Relief.

I never heard of this company, or the type of program until I got calls and letters in the mail. I did some searching on the internet. National Debt Relief was the top choice. I decided to give it a shot versus the notices I received in the mail. Everybody who contacted me was very informative and understanding of my debt. So far it has been great, hopefully throughout the process it will stay that way.

The process to apply for the programs was easy to complete and now I'm told to wait at least two to three months for the company start calling all my creditor. I'm able to sleep at night knowing someone is helping me with my bills.

I would like to say that National Debt Relief is for real. They were very helpful in setting up my account and I would recommend them to everyone, my wife and I have been struggling with debt for some time now and we signed up this program and it has been awesome. The phone calls have stopped and our debt is being decreased big time.

I am so happy with what NDR has done for me. One more account to resolve and I will be completely out of about $15,000 debt in two years and about 5 months. Also, I love love love that I can accept resolution offers via email now instead of having to make what can be a lengthy phone call.

All service representatives were very full of information and really nice. I had no problem with getting the appropriate information needed to complete the contract. The document e-sign was easy and quickly done and returned to the representative to finish my contract and the last caller was very nice.

This was so simple and easy. You guys handled the credit card companies so I didn't have to. Payments were easy to make. I was always notified once a settlement had been made. I finished the program in less time than I expected. About 4 months earlier than I expected.

New customer. So far it's been good. We have been with them for just a month ago far. Half of our creditors have responded and responded good. The other half seem to not have received or just maybe haven't reviewed the letter that National Debt Relief sent them. They have sent out late notices and still calling.

So far my debt is decreasing and it is working for me. Seeing good results. Only thing is my credit score has taken a major hit and would like to know how to recover. What is the recommendation for restoring your credit score.

Overall happy with the experience. As to be expected, I was very nervous (still am) to be in this position, and take these steps. At first, Bradley was very calm, collected, and kind. Towards the end, he was very rushed, and was even legitimately rude at one point. I get that he doesn't want to waste his time with someone who won't commit, but I was communicative, and only expressing concerns.

They settled a big account leaving 4 little ones that are going to court now. Should have done it opposite. After a year they tell me to pay more a month. Should have said that in the beginning. Sucking the food right out of my house since they did it backwards.

Compared to the monthly service charge the service is hardly worth the cost. 50 percent of all my payments go into service charges. If they were able to save me 50 percent it would be a wash. In reality I am paying way more than actually owed. Some of the companies they have not negotiated with yet. What gives?

During my welcome phone call the representative was very informative, professional, and friendly. She answered any and all of my questions politely and removed any nervousness I had from beginning the process. I felt she gave me all of the information I would need to contact the company and how to refer my creditors to the proper place.

Overall, I'm satisfied with my experience with National Debt Relief. The customer service was always very nice and professional and anytime I had any questions, I could always get in contact with someone without having to wait for a long period of time. They were always consistent in taking the amounts agreed upon from my account on a monthly basis. The main issue I had with my experience was that once they had determined my repayment plan, there were two creditors that, for whatever reason, were simply left to just sit and wait while none of my monthly payment was going to either of them. I expected that my credit rating would take a hit, but because of this, it became worse than it needed to be. I ended up having to work out repayment plans for these two creditors on my own outside of the NDR repayment plan in order to keep from having these accounts be charged off.

I would definitely recommend National Debt Relief to my friends and family. This process will take at least 3 years to be resolved but knowing that it's being resolved is what matters to me. My credit score is dropping now but I know it will eventually increase in the future.

While this process has been clearly explained, and the staff is friendly it is also obvious that they are reading off a script, and thus the presentation is somewhat monotone. However, it is great that this is not done with an automated system, as it is nice to have someone that can answer questions immediately.

Paid everything plus more, ended up in court over one credit card. Left with 3 credit cards not being paid at all. But National Debt definitely got all their fees. I was taken advantage of and still in a bad situation. Paid over $13,000 and have c/c in collection today. Horrible program!!!

My command in the military told me I had to fix my credit and a buddy of mine recommended National Debt Relief. Within the first two months I joined, they already started closing one or two of my accounts. I had one more account left, but I had to close my civilian account. By doing this I saved myself $5,000 & got out of debt in a year as opposed to two yrs if I had stayed with National Debt Relief. I recommend to do your research & negotiate for yourself. These companies just want to settle their debt. They don't care if they talk to you or a company, they just want their money so settle it yourself & save thousands.

So far I've only gotten through the first part of this journey but it has been very calming. As you probably know, financial problems are very stressful and our application for help was very reassuring in that these people do this all the time and it will get better. Michael, our representative, explained every part of the process and really set my mind at ease. I feel like they're a bit protective of us in regards to collection agency calls and contacts as they tell you what to say and not to engage, just send them to the debt specialist and keep a record of who and when. I personally don't answer the phone if I don't know who it is but it's nice to know they're there for us. I don't foresee any problems and have had a fine experience so far. Very reassuring.

Nikki was a pleasure to work with. I'm not very good with technology and she helped me with it and was very patient with me. And talked me through it. She was very pleasant to talk to also. You should give her a raise. The follow up call was kind of confusing. The guy talked awful fast I had a hard time keeping up. I hope I get all the forms signed and did on.

I looked online for the highest rated for debt relief and I was given a whole list with National Debt Relief at the top. There were also a couple of other good options but National Debt Relief seemed to be the one to go with. They helped to break down our accumulated debts and they really came through for us. They were always good as far as any time we needed to contact them about anything. They were very friendly, professional, always great and fantastic. I've never found any difference with anyone I spoke to and they're super people to deal with. Everybody I've had to interact with was patient, always there and willing to listen. Our lives are a lot better now and we feel a little bit like we've taken a sigh of relief because we went underwater and we weren't exactly sure what to do. National Debt Relief was the best choice we've ever made to get our lives under control again in terms of our finances.

I was going through a divorce with my wife at the time and I’d pay the minimum amount on the credit card bill which is all that I could pay. Each additional time the bill would come back, it would be a little bit more expensive than the last time. So, I went from $350 to $360 and then $370. I couldn’t afford to eat and pay the bills at the same time so I called National Debt Relief to see what I could do about it. Everybody at NDR was really friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I call, everybody already has all my information. They’re ready for any question and I get my answer. Paying my debts is getting done a little bit quicker than they originally intended. They said it was going to be about two years and right now, we’re at a year and a half and it should be done in a few months so it’s been good so far.

I have been enrolled in the program for six months and I am happy to say I have two creditors resolved out of seven. Although it felt like the honest thing to do, it is dangerous to deal directly with creditors. They attempt to trick you into saying something incriminating on a recorded call. What a relief to have National Debt Relief field these harassing calls. In a short time they have resolved 3 out of my 4 debts and saved me thousands. They are sympathetic and more importantly, great at what they do. I'm so glad I didn't file for bankruptcy.

They have been efficient and have been available and have answered any questions I have had. My problem with the program is that I don't think I have saved the money that I thought I would. As I add up all that I have paid to the program and the original amount of my debts, they are about the same. I guess I have saved the interest. In hindsight, I wish I would have contacted my creditors on my own and negotiated better interest rates. I think my credit score would not have suffered as it has.
