I was managing a lot of unsecured debt. I had never missed a payment, but I was drowning and I wasn't getting anywhere. I didn't want to go bankrupt so I looked into relief help and found NDR on google. I saw the reviews on them and they had better reviews. I've gotten relief from that particular burden by working with them. Their team were courteous and very proactive. If something happens then they're on the line with you. They call in periodically every two or three months to check if your situation has changed.

The National Debt Relief team has been very informative on keeping me up to date with my current standings every time I called. They always let me know what loan still in pending and what loans are done. They broke down everything that I needed to know about all my accounts. Before I signed up with them, my credit score was at 480, but now it's almost at 611 and I don't get phone calls anymore. So overall, my life has gotten a lot better since working with them. It's a great program to help get you out of debt quick.

They only call me when they absolutely have to, to make sure that everything is still on schedule. And they've been agreeable when I couldn't make a payment. As long as I told them in advance, they were happy to help me. My credit cards were far more than I thought I could handle and relief help was something I had to take on but they made it very easy for me. I'm still paying a decent amount of money in order to get the benefit of them handling my money and it's a sacrifice just like paying my credit card but it's gonna get me to a better place.

I'm highly satisfied with National Debt Relief. They have taken the stress out of finding our way out of debt. The process was very painless, and the people that I've dealt with are very knowledgeable in what they do. I haven't talked with anyone who wasn't sure of what they were doing, and they sent me an email on something if they said they were going to. It's been a really good service. They were very responsive, whether it was via email or by phone. If I sent an email, I'd get a phone call within a couple of days. Anytime that I reached out, I always had a response and they answered my questions. They've been ticking off the debt one at a time and they're exceeding my expectations in what they've been able to do as far as settlement. It's been a very positive experience.

I looked into debt relief since my credit card bills were getting the best of me. I had done consolidation before and I didn't want it to continue to drag out. I entered into a program with National Debt Relief but I canceled it for a number of reasons. The payments were more than what I can handle but my biggest issue with them is that they totally jacked up my credit even worse than what I had done. They didn't tell me that my debts needed to be in charge off status, only that to qualify for the program, I needed to let my credit card debt go three months behind. That way, the creditors were willing to work with us.

Almost all companies put a charge off on my credit report. And then, I actually ended up getting sued by one of the companies. I don't know if National had tried to work with them and they weren't willing to or what the situation was because at that point, my credit is trashed and I couldn't afford the payments so I decided to file for bankruptcy.

I'm not real happy with the way National Debt Relief handled this one though. I wouldn't use them again nor would I recommend them either. I worked with another debt consolidation program in the past from which I had a very pleasant experience. The company I used before was out of Florida. I wish I had gone through with them. With that previous company, I actually paid off my debt early and my credit was in great standing after that. They didn't require that I'd be late on anything. They just called and started negotiating with each individual credit card.

It's always credit card debt right after I have lost my job. I get unemployed and I start using my credit cards to survive. I could've continued on that way but to me, that's not productive. So, for me to voluntarily make this decision of consolidating and have my credit trashed, I'm not real happy about it. I don't think this is the way for it to get done.

I was trying to catch up with my debt so I can have them all paid up, so I considered getting debt relief help. From what I heard of the estimated cost of debt relief service, I wouldn't be paying much and most of the money would be going straight to pay off my bills, and the price for National Debt Relief's service ended up being cheaper than the estimated price I had heard of. I talked to the team at National Debt Relief to find out about what they're doing. Everybody I've spoken to at National Debt Relief has always been pretty helpful and they've made it easier to get a handle on my debt. I've already paid off quite a few things so that makes me happy because otherwise I'd still be paying on them myself. What they did was they worked with the company to get a settlement so I ended up paying half or less than half of what I actually owed. Then they also worked with me. I needed financial help. I went online to see who was out there and National Debt Relief was one of the top companies on the list about performance, how they’ve done and how they’ve helped people in the past. That’s why I contacted them. All their reps have been helpful, informative and patient. When I've asked for information, they've given it to me. When I submit items to them to keep them updated on debtors, they respond quickly.

So far, the company has been able to help even if we're only a few months into the process and have got years to go. They've made resolutions with several debtors that we have. Since we've said that we're working with National Debt Relief, I haven't gotten a lot of hassle from any of the creditors. I had a few collections calls in the beginning but now have very few. I've told other people about how National Debt Relief has helped us and how everything's going with us so far. A couple of these people have contacted the company and have started the process with them, too.

I decided it would be better to consolidate because it seemed faster. Initially, it started off really good with the rep from National Debt. I had one female who contacted me. I got my accounts for a certain amount. She paid off a few, and then she told me that she needs me to increase my payments. I was like, "Hey, wait a minute. That's not part of the deal." I didn't really care for that. It just seemed like it was not a part of the contract or the deal that I arranged, and she was pressing it like this is what was needed. After they pay off the creditors, I don't receive anything. I haven't received anything saying that it actually was paid off, so I have no documentation saying anything has been paid off.

On the other hand, National Debt seems pleasant. Other than I don't really have anything being tangible, it seemed like it was a good idea. When they called me and made the arrangements, it seemed like things are finally moving forward in the right direction. I always thought that they're supposed to send some type of settlement letter to say that the settlement offer was accepted and is approved. I'm not very dissatisfied, but I would be tremendously more satisfied if the things that I brought to their attention was happy. Things could be handled a lot more openly and with more written documentation verification.

I attempted for a year to pay off my debts myself, paying between $650 and $800 a month to different creditors but I simply can’t do that. It will take a total of four years to get it completely paid even after negotiations and reduced price. So I needed somebody that could take just a flat $500 or $600 a month and negotiate some payments to get my creditors paid. And National Debt Relief has been helpful at setting an amount for the most part that I can handle. No matter how hard I tried, it would’ve taken me much longer to pay those debts than it’s gonna take through National Debt Relief's program. They explained it well, and they have always sent me the appropriate forms via email and, if I requested it, to my P.O. Box. I didn’t have trouble understanding the terms and I didn’t feel that the fees were too high. I know that the people I'm indebted are getting paid and they send me little things stating that they’re receiving the payments in a timely manner.

It’s been a big help to reduce my stress and to know that I can at least have somebody else that can negotiate for me. It has given me incredible relief. It beats the heck out of stressing myself out and being upset. It has helped me improve the quality of my life. It helps a lot if I can at least turn the creditors over to somebody else so they’re not calling my house 15 or 20 times a day. At least people are getting paid, so they’re not constantly calling me. I want to pay off my debts. I’m also a caregiver in my home for a gentleman so I can’t take that extra stress of having people constantly calling and demanding payment that I just don’t have. It's still slightly stressful because of the amount of time it takes for me to be able to set money into an account and pay off the debts, but that's because of my lack of funds. I would certainly recommend National Debt Relief to somebody who has very high debt.

I haven’t had a great impact on my credit yet but I’m hoping it comes soon. However, they need to understand that when someone’s in debt, their immediate priorities are still there. The debt is obviously on the bottom of that list, especially with some of the debt that I have. I have to pay for my rent and my bills and they could understand that a bit more. National Debt Relief is currently helping me out with my debt. I wanted to pay off my credit cards and the initial call from National Debt Relief was really great. They explained everything. But once I became a client and have had a certain amount deducted from my accounts automatically every month, I now feel more like a number. Initially, the account rep was someone who actually cared about the debt I had. He would call and speak about the particulars and then, after that, I didn't really hear from anyone and I'm just pulling up. I would like someone to call and discuss my account with me from time to time. As a client, it's important to check in maybe at least once a quarter to follow up.

I don't know what their attrition rate is, but from my perspective, they don't really follow up and it's not gonna be something that their clients are gonna want to recommend. The assumption is when someone calls an agency like National Debt Relief, it's a touchy situation and the person is concerned with working with someone as in a partner capacity, where they feel that agency or individual cares about the particulars of their problem.

I wanted to keep my credit score reasonably well because I used to have an over 800 credit score and then it went down, so I didn't want to go bankrupt. National Debt Relief keeps me abreast of what's going on and they've been friendly for the most part. However, because they want their money, they draw it out for two years and they don't give me results. They still haven't resolved one $1,700 credit card and it's like they're drawing it out all the way through the end. They want their money before they do anything else. In December I'll pay my last payments with them so I'll be happy when that's over.

I had gone through a pretty horrible divorce and my ex-husband and I had to take on all of the debt because he's claiming bankruptcy. I ended up with all of the debt from our marriage and credit and there's no way I could make all the payment. There were other parts of the divorce decree that he was supposed to be financially responsible for and he wasn't, and that's why I sought relief. National Debt Relief did great. Everyone that I have talked to has been very helpful, knowledgeable and not judgmental because it was very embarrassing to go through debt relief consolidation. It was a huge relief and a huge weight that was taken off my shoulders. They made my life a lot easier.

I spoke to Andrew and he was the one who personally helped us through the whole planning and signing the contract. Working with National Debt Relief has helped us a lot. However, it was a really slow process as opposed to what I was expecting.

In addition, I've sent out a couple of emails, but I haven't gotten an answer. I'm trying to find out where we are right now, which company we still owe and how much we had still left with. I know that as a company, they have a lot of clients and they deal with a lot of things, but it would be nice if, as a client, I receive emails or receipts for when each account has been cleared and we're debt-free from that particular account. I am paying $644 per month and I've been with them for two and a half years, and I don't know where I stand in the program right now. I don't know how many accounts have been cleared. A couple of years ago, I realized I was making all my payments but was never going to be able to get rid of them at the rate I was going. I was in my 60's, making minimum payments and couldn't afford to keep that up anymore, and have any hope for any kind of a future retirement, so I started to get the relief. I went on the web and saw that National Debt Relief had an A-1 rating by the Better Business Bureau. I looked into it a little more and decided to give them a call. I looked at a couple of other companies, but National Debt sounded like what I was looking for.

My experience with them has been quite positive. They're doing what they told me they were going to do and didn't promise anything that they haven't delivered on. Out of the six debts that they're handling, there are settlements on all, but one, so far. And once I get a few more dollars in my account, they can probably do that. They also said that generally, their settlements are in the 40% to 45%, sometimes more, sometimes a little less. Most of them have been right around the 45%. Also, anytime I've called them and asked questions, I'd get all the answers. When they're coming up with the possibility of having a settlement, they explain what it's going to be, how much a month they'll be taking out of my account to pay that, and tell me that there's no problem if I wanted to pay it off ahead of time. They've been pretty thorough in explaining what they're doing and why they think it would be a good deal to settle. So far, I'm very happy.

Then, I noticed that National Debt Relief was number one on the list of top 10. Everyone in National I've ever spoken with has been extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They were all very helpful.

The only issue I have is that there's a couple of accounts that I don't need debt consolidation for that I'm able to pay just fine. But since NDR go off of the bank, if they share a bank with a company, like for instance Best Buy or Victoria's Secret credit card, it covered everything under one umbrella even if I didn't need help with a card. They were unable to look at what the details were for each account that's on there that I can either remove if I need to or put back if I wanted to. NDR made the claim that my credit score would go up in a 45-month program and I noticed a drastic increase in my credit score way quicker than that, like 5-6 months. The whole program is a lot quicker than I expected it to be. So, I'm very pleased with that. They were able to take care of exactly what I wanted them to do.

They sent me different ways of bringing my debt down through email. But nobody really contacts me to let me know what they're doing and what the next step would be. I haven't received any phone calls unless I call them. They're taking $286 of my hard-earned money every month, but there's no contact, so it's hard for me to know where I'm at. I'm always having to call and check if things are getting done. I just received a letter from one of the items that I had put into my debt relief program, so I sent it to them. They were supposed to call me back on Monday, and still, there's no call. I don't know if they've dealt with it or not.

It's difficult at times. I wish my payment was a little smaller. Furthermore, I wish they would communicate a little better, not just through email but maybe through a phone call. I'm not very dissatisfied, but I'm not satisfied either. However, there's room for improvement. They're in the business of debt relief and their customer's already in debt, and at least, they could check up on their customer and communicate something other than, "Here, give me your bank and we'll keep taking your money for the next two or three years." They could make the process a little more personal, as in taking the time to call their customer back and saying, "Hey, I know you're struggling. I know we're digging into your pocket. But we're trying to help you out. I just want to check up on you and make sure you're okay."

My wife and I realized that our children’s diapers were still on our revolving credit cards and our grandchildren were about to be born and that we, after 20 years, were not making any significant progress in spite of our best efforts so I felt it was time to take more extreme measures. We looked into filing a bankruptcy but we didn’t want that. So we considered some options and debt relief was a nice alternative between the amputation and the walking around crippled for the rest of our life. So we Google-searched top rated debt relief companies in America and National Debt Relief was consistently at the top.

The people that dealt with us upfront were the best. The limbic part of my brain trusted them to help me. They were understanding, sympathetic and not judgmental. I felt like they weren't trying to get something from me for their benefit but what they did benefitted me and that they would benefit as well. We set up a 48-month plan. We got excited and did everything in the last 12 months to get rid of our debts. We cashed in our retirement savings which was an extreme measure but once we start making progress, it’s contagious. Debt reduction for us was like weighing 800 pounds and losing ten every year. We can celebrate that we lost 10 pounds but then we still had to face the fact that we weigh 790. But with National Debt Relief, it was like liposuction wherein they tore stuff off of us and suddenly we have biceps.

The only concern I have is that last week we had a conversation that took four separate phone calls because I was getting disconnected as they would transfer me to somebody else. Their people’s understanding of how to use their systems may be inadequate but apart from that, we have a fantastic relationship with the company. I wholeheartedly recommend National Debt Relief to people who are drowning and can't seem to find a way out.

I was researching online about how I can get help with my credit cards and looked at National Debt Relief's reviews in the Better Business Bureau. Their reps were able to help in accommodating payments that I had to lower due to financial difficulties. Before, what I had to pay was too much and it became a struggle and a strain. It was either I go with National Debt Relief or file for bankruptcy. I haven’t had any problems with them so far, but I’m not out of debt yet. The only thing is that I would like to have a written statement sent to me via mail or email stating how much I owe and what have I paid in fees instead of having to call them to ask. I have to go through their the company that manages the bills. I log in, get a login member name, and it’s complicated.

I keep paying them monthly and I don’t know if I’m getting closer to my goal or not. I have no idea where my money is going and what they take out in fees which is a little unnerving. They have to charge something for their services and I have no other choice. I have looked around to see if I can get some other help with banks and credit unions, but there is nothing that I can see and I don’t want to deal with it. For most of us who are in debt like this, it’s a tremendous financial and emotional burden. It would help us to get some sort of “Hey, you’re doing fine. We’re getting towards our goal. We have this much time left and then you’re going to be debt free.” That would be nice to receive on a quarterly basis.

Otherwise, I do recommend National Debt Relief to people in my situation. So far, they’ve been collaborating nicely. They’re always nice, friendly and available to talk on the phone. When I had a problem renting an apartment, they wrote a letter that I was paying my bills on time and that I’m taking care of my debts. In that respect, they’re very personable. I’m hoping that I’ll be out of debt soon.

I had to pay an additional $74 for a couple of months and I wasn’t sure what that was for. But I don’t recall being mentioned in the initial negotiating process that in the event that we come to an agreement with a specific creditor, that you’ll be assessed for another amount of money in addition to the monthly amount. I wasn’t really clear on that. But I took care of it best I could with a little strain, financially. So it’s still the best process and I’m grateful for the assistance. NDR has been working toward reducing the debt that I had and I think that we’re accomplishing that goal.

There are a lot of stuff that I do not understand especially with what they're saying and their system. In the last three or four months I didn't settle with anybody. National Debt took the money first for their selves then they're going to give it to the creditors. It's rough that I didn't understand from the beginning that they would do something like that. I was not informed and that's making it harder to get out from the debt. The process is taking longer and it's very weird.

When someone mentioned that National Debt Relief is very helpful in the long term, I looked into their service and got started right away with them. Their name took a lot of stress off me. It's the relief of thinking about how I got into this mess and how I could get out reasonably without adding more to what I owed. When I was paying to the bank what they said I owed, they would take my $300 or $400 minimum payment every month, but that was just for the interest, and the principal amount I owed never went down, so it was like throwing money into the fire. So, I really needed a company that could help me pay off my debts.

I have always paid my bills, but just had a bunch of stuff happening. National has been helpful since I lost my career job. I've had a job every two years, however, it was not anything to be proud of. So, I called National and gave them a heads-up, "Hey, I need a month off." They granted that and just added the payment on the end. So, I'm not behind on everything. I still have my monthly bills and my taxes, and once again I'm employed. If there's enough money in there, the National guys would say, "Okay, there's enough" for them to approach the business that I had a debt to and make an offer. It's usually what I originally owed minus the interest. So, they're pretty fair.

By working with National, I paid up all my debts, except for a last one I have with a Visa credit card that I'm working at and making payments. The creditors still send me letters saying that I owe them what National has already paid them. I faxed the documents to them, and they said, "It's just what companies do," and that they were just looking for me. If I had heard about National Debt Relief and gotten their services sooner, I could've been paying them now for their services and would've been farther ahead than just trying to pay my debts of.

When I was looking for help with debt and trying to figure out what my options were, I called National Debt Relief. It sounded like something that I could manage so I decided to go with them. They sounded competent enough and whoever I was speaking to was smart enough to understand what was going to help me and provide a solution. On one hand, it’s a good solution because I feel that the debt is being managed. However, I don’t know the downsides yet because it’s taking a long time. It’s somewhat expensive and all of my debts are not resolved yet. I thought I had an understanding at the beginning, but they led me to believe that it would be a four-year deal by the time I paid off my creditors and that the first year they would be in settlements with all the different creditors. However, it's been a couple of years now and we're still not in settlements with everybody and it's not good for my credit.

When I asked them about it, all they said was, “We explained that it takes a while to get into settlements and we can’t get into settlements until they agree to settle, and they are not gonna agree to settle until you haven’t paid for a long time. Even then, there has to be enough money in your account for the settlement.” Since I’m paying a monthly amount, I thought there would be funds in the account to pay out for settlements as well. I understand the math of what they are telling me now. But when it was first explained to me, it sounded like they had the skills to do the negotiating to make the math of initiating settlements within the one year mark so that the last three years is just paying the settlements off. I feel that it was slightly misleading. But it seems like it will resolve in a positive way unless things go dreadfully wrong.

I was in debt with my credit cards. I had cashed in my husband's life insurance policy and paid them off but I couldn't understand why I keep getting in debt. So, I sat down and finally did a budget, and I realized that I was living on credit cards because I don't make much money. I realized that in order to get stuff that I thought I needed, I was putting it on credit cards and got myself in trouble. I could try to work it out on my own but it will take a long time and I'm gonna get bad credit. I could try to go bankrupt but I really don't want to. So, that's when I looked up for National Debt Relief and I liked what I saw.

They talked to me and my husband to tell us what to do. After that, the only time we've heard from them was when they were able to pay somebody off. I wish though that that they could tell our creditors what they're helping us do because in the beginning and still to this day, some of the creditors haven't been notified yet that NDR is going to pay them. They thought that we've just quit. All I could tell the debt collector is that I've given them over to NDR and they asked when they're going to collect their money because that's all they care about. They call every week for the first couple of months and then finally, they quit. I'm now living by a very strict budget so that I can pay NDR and I have other bills that I have to pay and it's very hard but I'm trying to do the best I can. I pay NDR $330 a month and it's a lot of money, but it's going to a good cause paying off my debts. Overall, I'm very satisfied. I'm thankful that my debts are getting paid.

I short sold a house in New Jersey and have left some bills go when I lost a job that was not making as much as what I was making at my current job. I decided to start fresh but it ended up that bankruptcy wasn't available for me because I made too much money according to my W-2's and lawyers gave me the run around, so I decided just to put my big boy pants on and pay the debt back as best as I could for what I had.

Some things were made clear by National Debt Relief's reps, but some things were not. Mostly everything is in the fine print but not everybody reads the fine print and that's where my weakness lies. So the misunderstanding is lying on my part, not so much National Debt Relief. But after they described the breakdown of the system and how the system actually worked with it, I was more at ease. I wanted to know where a majority of money was going since what I do was different from what they do, which was why I'm in their program. I thought I could do it better but I've already had so much money invested so I might as well keep on going.

I don't like that they don't relay my credit report to my creditors. They don't say that an account has been settled. On my behalf, they need to have it removed or have made sure that my credit report reads appropriately to future creditors. I could have done the same way they were doing because I still do the same thing that they do but I'm not paying someone to do it. I figured out we would get a better deal on a group of trying to settle one big lump sum debt which they claimed they were but at the same time they were using that money more to pay themselves. I don't think I'll ever do it again if I ever put myself in the same situation. There are other agencies that are similar, and as they're clearing people's debt, they get it reported and get their debt or credit score and report help to improve it.

My credit was really bad and all my stuff was getting into collections, and I couldn't pay for it. I then looked into relief help to get my credit back up. I called National Debt Relief and set it up and they did the rest. I only talked to them a couple of times. I really hadn't had to do too much, and National Debt Relief seems to handle it very well. I've already settled two debts.

I have one income coming in because my husband is not with us right now. I looked into reviews and found that National Debt Relief's were positive ones. Their team has been courteous and very helpful. When I had questions, they answered them in detail. They were very clear and they made me understand what the program is about, how it works, how the payments will be, and when I will be done. They’re understanding and easy to talk to. When I call, I don’t have to wait long, or if they call me back, they call in a timely manner. Also, the payments have been affordable. The first year was tough, but I’m going into my second year and I’ve gotten used to that money being withdrawn from my account. It’s so affordable it still leaves me with plenty to work with.

I had 8 debts that I had to resolve when I started with debt management. National Debt Relief has been excellent. They’re prompt, they answer my questions and they took care of a lot of the problems that I had. They always call at the very right moment when I was a little down and they pick you up. They're super friendly and it's like talking to a family member. I have one more debt that I had to consolidate so, I’m very happy. I’m very satisfied with them from day one that I signed up. I have recommended National Debt Relief to friends.

I had the original contract with National Debt Relief set up to pay off within 48 months or sooner at a set rate. I was talked into it and it seemed like a good thing. Then all of a sudden they wanted to make a quicker pay-off. I had to increase the amount of withdrawal which I didn’t expect but I agreed to it to take care of one of the accounts. For the first few months, I was getting regular phone calls - at least once or twice a month just to check in and make sure everything was going okay. They gave me updates on the status with the various debts back then. But in the last two or three months, it seems like it’s reversed. I have to call them to ask them what the status is.
