    Sometimes things can get so hectic and out of hand that it can seem like there is no way out, but there is. National Debt Relief can take the worry out of paying your debt by taking the call from your creditors, setting up a payment schedule you can live with, and helping you get your life back in order and move ahead to better things. Is it easy? Not always, but it is better than the constant phone calls of the debt collectors at all hours of the day and night.

    Will it take time? Yes, it may take a couple of years, depending on how far in debt you are and how much you can afford to pay each month to get it resolved. They handle the negotiations with the creditors and can, in some cases, get the total amount owed reduced, which helps you in the long run. They are very professional and can help you even if lawyers get involved.     Service has been okay, but if I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't do it. They were able to get offers from my creditors, but I did not want to accept them all. Harassed me to beyond belief to take the offers. You are at their mercy to take the offers presented. Real pushy and though my debt is being taken care, my credit score has not improved!! I would suggest to explore other means.

    Some help just drag it out too long!!! If they would take care of business would be great operation!!! Had to actually be served court papers 4 times before they would act on credit debt only way to get them motivated!!!     The program is excellent for the long haul, but the short term effects of settling one debt at a time and leaving the other creditors waiting with no recovery plan for getting them paid off is a little frustrating. It allows the creditors that are waiting to file court proceedings, which in term can cause additional frustration for the person trying to pay off his/her debt.

    I thought that having National Debt Consolidate participant, that will help me my credit score, I did not see any difference with my credit. I received letter that my credit is deficient. Even if part of the credit enrolled in the program still saying about my credit not in good standing. I did not see any difference. That worries me because it should help but it did not. I have always to talk to customer service about the status of credit enrolled. My experience paying for the service (25%) is high fees. Aside deduction of monthly fees for service. So I will not be satisfied until my credit score have change. It is lower than it was from last year and still going down hill.

    I contacted National Debt Relief a few months ago because I was overwhelmed by the amount of debt I had. I was only barely able to make monthly payments for my current creditors, and often at the sacrifice of my grocery budget (and sometimes even my rent). With the FIRST phone call National Debt Relief revealed to me the reality I was living and that it was going to take 30+ years to completely free myself of the debt I had on the current payment schedule I was maintaining. In that same phone call, they alleviated a lot of stress by reassuring me that I qualified for their program, and setting me up with some general information.

    With the SECOND phone call, they were able to give me a biweekly payment schedule that automatically withdrew from my account on payday. This payment schedule was less than I currently paid on my own with my individual creditor payments, AND it's taken out the day I get paid, so I don't have to worry about not having enough money in my account for the payments.

    I did get laid off for a month, and all it took was a quick phone call to inform them, adjust my payment schedule, and then I was automatically put back on track once I resumed work. All I can say is, I suffered for YEARS under the weight of this debt, and only a few months in I have already settled with one of my creditors, and I should be done with the rest in less than five years.

    Hi. There are a lot of things I appreciate about my experience with NDR. Your reps are very considerate. Your electronic processes are very smooth and well organized. Your responses are timely and reliable. Most importantly, you are getting me good results so far. However, in my view, you have a very big problem in limiting the flow of information to your clients, and your smooth policies and processes are also an impediment in that it is very hard to get you to deviate from them and thereby to tailor you customize your service to individual clients. Specifically, for example, I have (or had) two BoA accounts enrolled. I received notice that there was a settlement offer in one. Meanwhile, I was aware that BoA had sued me, but I had not been served and did not know whether they were suing on one/which one, or both.

    An NDR rep put the screws to me pressuring me to accept the settlement, unable/refusing to tell me thing one about whether the settlement would dispose of the lawsuit. He adamantly refused to consider my point that it would be foolish for me to settle one account with BoA without at least knowing how, if at all, it would affect the lawsuit, as well as without trying to use the opportunity to resolve the dispute with BoA globally. He could not or would not let me speak to NDR's negotiator. And he was vague/confusing/misleading about whether and to what extent attorneys for either side were or weren't involved in the negotiation. He kept invoking his experience, asking me simply to believe him without providing any concrete information.

    Finally, refusing to be cowed, I asked to speak to a supervisor and he transferred me to a very helpful and transparent supervisor named Castro (albeit not without first arrogantly telling me that no supervisor would tell me anything different than he did about NDR's policies). I have practiced law for 20 years. If ever browbeat a client into settling without being able or willing to provide basic information (or even just without seeking a global resolution with an adversary), I would be rightfully accused of a breach of fiduciary duty or malpractice.

    Castro, conversely, was helpful in the end. Together, we uncovered the details of the lawsuit, and agreed that NDR would seek simultaneous resolution of both BoA accounts with me. He managed to make that happen in relative short order and I approved both settlements. My point is not that that was the only way to do things, or that NDR doesn't have experience and reason backing its initial decision to seek to resolve the accounts in series rather than simultaneously.

    My point is that NDR has a duty to clients to be more forthcoming with and transparent about information and processes that impact us financially. Asking for our agreement to settle, if all NDR is really doing is browbeating us into settling without providing basic information or discussing terms, and substituting invocations of experience for concrete information, is at best a hollow exercise, if not a fiduciary breach.

    Again, I do not feel that NDR has breached my fiduciary rights. It has, rather, achieved good results for me. But in this instance, I feel that is because I'm a sophisticated self-advocate, not because NDR treated me properly in the circumstances (before I spoke to Castro, anyway).     National Debt Relief was seriously a life saver for me! They were immediately available, professional, AND in addition they were kind and understanding. They did not make me feel like a loser because I had debt problems. Every person I've spoken to there has been professional, knowledgeable and helpful.     When they get a creditor to agree on an amount, they call you to ask for more funds. Last account they asked for an extra $500 to pay off the creditor. Not to mention they messed up the timing on when my payment was suppose to come out of my account and pay Discover. The payment was always 2 days late, Discover then sued me and a bondsman showed up at my door on a Friday night to serve me with papers. I then had to pay an extra $300 because of their mess up to fix the mistake and so that I wouldn't have to go to court and get fined. I have yet to be satisfied about this program. Can't wait for it to be over.

    I would definitely recommend this program to a friend. When I first came across this program, I did my research and read reviews. When your situation is dire, the last thing you want to do is make another mistake. There were some negative reviews but quite a few more positive.     Signing up for their service was very easy and they were initially helpful. Overall I think it's been a good way to pay off debt and avoid bankruptcy. My only reservation has been that since signing up, it's been very difficult to get information about how much debt I still owe, how much has been paid off, and other general account information. Their website is poorly designed, and each debt seems to be placed in a separate account that you have to log into separately, so it's impossible to see your entire account at the same time. This lack of access to account information has made me nervous that the service is legitimate, especially since payments go to a company under a different name. The whole process and access to information is opaque and difficult to understand. That being said, my debt seems to be going down and my credit rating is improving.

    When I inquired about National Debt Relief they boasted about customers only having to pay on half of their debt because of NDR negotiations but in actuality it's only a savings of about 20% of the debt due to NDR 25% commission fee added to the overall cost, which I didn't know about until well into the program. Also customers should also be able to see the payment schedule of to the debtors not just the schedule of the payment going into the escrow account. It is misleading and confusing to not see both. I think I would have been better off talking to my debtors directly.

    Approximately 47% of money paid into NDR has gone to fees. I've been enrolled for almost 10 months. I wish more had gone to actively settling the debts via maybe a monthly fee over the term of the program rather than so much toward fees upfront. I was advised that my credit score would tank and that I may still receive collections calls, which it has and I do - even at work. This was not an easy choice to make. There are definitely consequences for incurring debt. I'm glad that 3/10 of my creditors have currently been satisfied.     I recently finished graduate school and got a job in the Bay area, but the cost of living here is ridiculous.     I was not given an explanation of when each of the creditors in my plan would be contacted. It was my understanding that each would have been contacted initially informing them that I was in the program. Apparently the limited power of attorney is being sent only as National Debt Relief is ready to negotiate a settlement, so, even though I have changed my contact information to National Debt Relief and blocked their telephone numbers, THEY STILL CALL ME USING NUMEROUS TELEPHONE NUMBERS, THREATENING LETTERS, ETC.

    I have been ill, had surgery, since entering this program and very displeased that a better explanation was not given me when I signed up. I had called several times and only got a complete explanation in pieces, when I asked the specifics. I had a choice to use another debt management company- FREE- OFFERED BY MY BANK, AND, the negotiations would be started immediately, with the same, approx. completion date. I chose National Debt Relief, because the monthly amount I would, and (have been paying) for payment was approx. $200.00 less than the other company.

    I am now realizing that SEVERAL OF MY CREDITORS HAVE STILL NOT BEEN CONTACTED, AND I AM STILL GETTING PHONE CALLS AND LETTERS. If by October, all creditors have not been contacted, I will cancel my contract and seek help elsewhere. I realize most of my funds already collected, will not be returned, but, the simple truth is, I need to resolve payment issues with all my creditors timely, so there will be no legal actions against me. Several of these creditors did offer a payment plan, but I think I just panicked, and in light of my pending surgery, decided to use National Debt Relief. I now realize it was just too good to be true, for my situation.

    I have a good experience with National Debt Relief. Everyone that I have spoken with and worked with have been knowledgeable and helpful. They have kept up on my account and let me know how I may help them with everything to go smoothly. I have one problem though and that was with faxing paperwork in that they requested it was faxed in three times and it seems that no one is responsible for receiving these when they are sent. They need to fix that problem please.

    When I consider our experience we were enduring about 2 and 1/2 years ago with one source of retirement income after the other failing us and we no longer could meet our unsecured debt obligations while trying to remain most responsible under those circumstances we did not know where to turn. After disregarding bankruptcy as an option we began examining various debt relief programs with the help of legal advice from a trusted attorney friend and decided on NDR. We knew we had to act responsible and make a major $$ contribution over the duration of this process but NDR seems to be keeping their part of their commitment to us and are capably helping us take this more responsible approach to seek debt relief while returning to our creditors the maximum we are capable of since we valued our original relationship with each of them over our successful decades long relationship with each of them.

    As we are approaching the end the trail and beginning to see some real relief from this oppressive burden it is refreshing. To be sure this journey has not come without great sacrifice. We have 7 great grand children living in the east that we have never seen or enjoyed nor have we afforded the vacation to visit them and are likely more than a year away from that great blessing. We have taken our share in this endeavor most responsibly and it is closing in on a most desired and refreshing outcome thanks to capable efforts of our new friends at National Debt Relief.
