I'll be debt-free in 2020. Freedom Debt is awesome. They took everything out of my hands and said, "We'll take care of it for you." I don't receive any nasty mail from credit cards. They are always polite with you on the phone. I'd recommend them to anyone who has credit issues.

Very friendly and helpful company to work with. Have not experienced any issues thus far. It's a relief knowing my debt is finally being paid off for much less than I owed. Dealing with credit card companies can be painful, but FDR has taken care of all communication with them so you don't have to.

Excellent and responsive Services. They do what they promise to do. Excellent customer service. Started paying down debts quickly after I signed up. Customer phone service excellent and very courteous and responsive. I would definitely recommend for anyone in serious debt. Although it will take me 4 years to pay off all debt, I feel very much back in control of my situation.

I will say I was nervous but as soon as I handed over my accounts I felt a huge relief off my shoulders! Especially after I changed the phone numbers and addresses on my accts to Freedom's. Then the waiting till your first settlement does take a while as they are waiting for your funds to build, and you will get nervous again but then that first settlement and you just get excited that things are moving in the right direction. I would recommend Freedom Debt Relief to anyone needing assistance! Don't sit and worry there's nowhere to turn - freedom takes all that away! And don't hesitate to call them at any time. They will calm your nerves!

I had debated on doing this for several years. I started the process two times prior to actually doing it today because it is a lot of stuff to process and it was a little scary when they talked about the process lowering your credit score. But as one of the counselors told me "For this debt program you really have to hate your debt, more than you love your credit. You can rebuild your credit, it's much easier with no unsecured debt." So after about 11 months. I finally took the plunge because my debt was in the process of lowering my score anyway.
I will be honest I am still a little scared but I'm willing to go through the process because at the moment to think in less than 3 years I could be debt free with the exception of my house. And if I had the guts to do it the first time I would already be out of debt. I am excited to get this started and to see my debt dwindle. I researched this company and the Better Business Bureau gave it a great rating. All the counselors were very helpful in getting this started and walked me through everything on the computer. This made me more at ease.

Rashawn **, IAPDA Certified Debt Specialist, was very knowledgeable when I spoke to him on the phone about my debt relief options. I was not informed that my credit had to be totally trashed before I got any assistance. I was lead to believe you would contact the debtors you proposed to represent me with and you have not contacted them. Several have contacted me about legal action. This is unacceptable as I was in good standing until you offered to help.

I am compelled to write this review to hopefully save someone from the same hell I am currently going through. When I first called FDR I had exhausted all options (loans, consolidation) other than bankruptcy and was desperate not to go that route. After speaking to a few reps (I didn't sign up on the first call) and reviewing my debt vs monthly max I could pay, I was assured that my monthly payment of $534 was more than sufficient for them to contact my creditors and begin working out settlements. I was assured I would be debt free within 3-4 years, depending on the settlement amounts. I inquired about a loan and was told they do not offer that service as most people default. They reached out to my smallest balance and settled w/in a few months. Just as others who've written reviews have said, I could finally sleep at night! I believed I was being taken care of by a company that truly had my best interest at heart. Then I was served by a creditor.
I immediately called FDR, and thankfully I had taken the attorney coverage ($12 per month fee) so I was put in touch with National Litigation Law Group. My attorney was great, reached a fair settlement with no lump sum payment upfront needed. This left me with about $2500 in my FDR account to start settling with the 2 remaining creditors. Again, a good night's sleep!
A few weeks later I checked my account to see if they had reached out to the remaining creditors and saw I had a zero balance! I called FDR frantic as I didn't see where the money went. It was only then I learned there is a separate website (CFTPAY.com) where I could see all transactions from my account. FDR had paid themselves over $2300. I was told this was their settlement fee. Naturally, I was very upset about this as I was verbally told FDR took all their fees at the end. What they did not specify was they mean the end of settlement negotiations. Not only did they take $2300 but they are paying themselves an additional $67 per month until this settlement is paid off. So my monthly deposit minus the settlement minus the attorney coverage minus the settlement fee minus the bank fee leaves me with a zero balance each month.
I contacted FDR this morning to ask a simple question - If I am paying insurance for legal coverage, if the creditor served me prior to FDR reaching out to them in any way or doing any work on my behalf, if the attorney reached the settlement, what am I paying FDR for? What work have they done to justify wiping out my account?
After being left on hold for 22 minutes, calling back and holding another 10, I finally got someone on the phone who simply repeated the same thing - NLLG works with them and even though the attorney did the work and my insurance paid them they work together so FDR gets their fee regardless. I am now in a position where my monthly deposit will cover ONLY one settlement and FDR's fees. I will not start building up excess funds in my account until APRIL 30, 2019!!! When I realized the position they had put me in and asked what could be done I was told to deposit more money each month. They will not refund their lump sum payment to themselves and prorate it out each month. They will not reach out to the remaining creditor as there is no money to negotiate with for another TWO YEARS!!
Be aware of how this program really works!!! You are agreeing to pay FDR a percentage (I believe it varies by state) of the ORIGINAL balance due, NOT the negotiated amount. They take their fees up front. They are not proactive - you will be sued. They do not communicate with you - it is on you to follow up and push for negotiations. There is a monthly fee for NLLG (mine is $12). There is a monthly bank fee (mine is 7.25). There is a check payment fee ($10 - not sure if charged on all payments).
They seem very proud of themselves, stating they have saved me 10K on one account. After all their fees and the extras you pay each month, they have not saved me half that. I put my faith in this company believing this was better option than bankruptcy, have watched my credit fall over 300 points and will have creditors breathing down my neck for the next TWO YEARS without FDR doing anything to help me. This company does not care about you. They are not here to help you. They are out to take as much money from you as possible.
Oh, and to add insult to injury, a few months ago I received a call from FDR saying due to my great history of paying on time each month they wanted to offer me a loan (thought they didn't do that!) at over 20% interest to "help" me pay off my debt faster. Thanks FDR. A good friend filed bankruptcy a little over a year ago. Their credit score is 200 points higher than mine and she has begun rebuilding her credit already. Please read everything, question everything, consult with an attorney before signing yourself over to this company.

I needed assistance with my overwhelming debt. I called F.D.R. and spoke with Griffin ** to see if I qualified for this program. Griffin asked me to provide him with my debt issues. After he reviewed my paperwork, he presented it for "review" to a committee and I was approved. Griffin took his time with me, answering all of my questions and provided me with very clear and detailed information on each step I would have to take, reassuring me the entire time that he and the FDR Team would be there for the duration of this process. My anxiety level dropped significantly the more he shared with me. It is rare to get this quality of service!!! I could go on and on... Griffin's service was "Hat's Off"!!! I had one advisor, then another, then another; then another company. Was never told what was coming next. Was sued even though I was told I wouldn't be. Almost lost my job because of it and that wasn't supposed to happen either. Now making payments over and above what I owed to CC companies and don't know why. Very confusing. The first fortunate experience during our enrollment was being able to talk with DeNaya ** about what FDR was and how it could help us. Over the next few days, she helped us sign the needed papers on the computer. This was a real hassle for her since my husband and I are not computer savvy. DeNaya was precise with her directions, and when we had trouble she was patient with us. After the papers were signed correctly, other FDR units started coming in with a nice greeting and encouraging words. Because of a caring attitude on the part of the FDR workers, the enrollment was smooth going for us. FDR must be one of the most professional agencies in the business.

They have worked with me. My credit has taken a huge huge hit. From 650 to 435 when I was told in the beginning it wouldn't. However they have worked a couple deals and I'm on my way to something paying off. They have been ok so far.

This has been a simple solution to resolving my personal debt. I would recommend this program to anyone having debt and negative credit problems. My only regret, is that I did not enroll in the FDR program earlier. The additional loan program to expedite the timeframe for settlement of each loan is excellent and cuts the negotiation process with creditors down by years.

They send me materials to read, they explain how to go about it, the creditors would call to me or send bills, Debt Relief would handle it. It has been a good experience other than when I first reached out to Freedom I requested a loan to pay off the debts but was told I did not qualify yet. 6 months later with only one debt paid off I suddenly did qualify for the loan.

When we enrolled we thought it's going to be 2 to 3 mos. and you all going to start paying our creditors. We stop depositing money because of the process, and our money which is approximately 2400.00 was gone and only 1 payment was made. I know you settled with one of our creditors but it's not the way we expected and when I'm trying to reach Christa ** who initiated our program didn't get a callback and because of this we're so messed up now with creditors.

They asked me to fill out a application to apply to consolidate my remaining credit card bills. I filled out and sent documents on 3/24/17 and I got a email saying I would hear from them in 3-4 days. I have called twice and no one has called me back.

I think the process Is very slow and damages your credit score. Although you are in the program with a positive attitude it is very depressing. Sometimes it is hard to speak with your financial advisor, whom I think should at least give you a call to see if you are a satisfied customer.

Your associates are not all trained the same. I had several frustrating experiences with several of them. They do not have the same knowledge base and it shows dramatically. The ones that are well trained and knowledgeable are amazing. One day I had to call 3 times before I actually contacted someone who could help me. I had 2 with English language barriers. I'm having issues with several creditors who have chosen to both sue me and make daily threats by phone, email and the US Mail. My phone has two methods to block calls which I use. I average 20 or more auto rejected calls daily. They are calling from over 20 states at last check.

When I joined Freedom I thought that at least it would have been like a 'peace of mind.' Instead, I am not at peace, but falling to pieces. One (1) person really helped me the second to last time I called. Because of her I have joined the Litigation Group of Lawyers. Thanks, Freedom are never able to locate any documents that I sent. I just expressed a Summons document and was told that they have not received it. I don't know what to do.

Nowadays when we lose our jobs it is hard to compete with the younger generation, even with over 25 years of experience under your belt. I was desperate with my credit cards balance going higher and higher and of course the higher the balance the amount of their interest goes up also. I never get updates, you have 10,000 of my money with only one bill paid off. Now USSA is telling me it's going to be a charge off and all my insurance will be cancelled. I still receive many calls during the day. I'd like to know when will they stop.
